Good Friday afternoon, guys. My name is Jerry Miller and thank you kindly for joining us on the I Love Seaville show.
It's a pleasure to connect with you through the I Love Seaville network and boy oh boy, do we have a doozy for you today.
I'm going to get straight into it. Our studio in downtown Charlottesville, the whole premise of the program and the show is to be the water cooler of conversation. Media, legacy media, old media, is just not doing it for us anymore.
As a result, we're gonna use long form content
and content that's specific to this market
and broadcast that content
on every social media platform possible
to help you, the viewer and listener,
become more educated, more entertained,
and more enlightened, the entire premise of the show.
We're gonna talk the Almar County Board of Supervisors race and the Jack Jewett district.
It's a competitive race.
There's two candidates, count them, two candidates that are running for one seat, the Jack Jewett
seat.
And ladies and gentlemen, those two candidates are Democrats.
One of them is Dave Shreve, the other is Sally Duncan.
These two candidates could not be more polar opposite in their ideology despite embodying
the Democratic, the Democrat moniker.
We're going to talk Sally Duncan.
Yesterday we highlighted her television commercial that clearly reeks of tax increases.
A television commercial that made references direct to Donald Trump to start the commercial.
Then she talks about basically
raising taxes for Almar County, a district, a county that is already saying enough is
enough. You're taking too much money from our pocket. We had a viewer and listener who
asked for anonymity. And if you watch this program, we get a boatload of information,
information that you don't find in legacy or traditional media. One of the reasons we
get that information is because we have a massive following.
Another reason we get that information is because we understand the concept of anonymity,
off the record, and keeping people's names away from the show as they pass on valuable information
to us. Well, that happened yesterday. One of our favorite viewers and listeners sent us information
via Facebook direct message.
And no, it is not number one in the family, deep throat.
It is somebody else.
And when she sends us that information, she says, don't use my name, but it's important for your audience
because it's massive to hear or see or read what Sally Duncan, the candidate for the Jack DeWitt District seat
in Almarra County, has posted posted on social media specifically an alias Twitter
account. Yesterday we made reference to the alias website. Is it Caris Adele? Is that
how I would say it? You can find it online at-E-L.com. The website is still up. She had links to her alias social media
accounts on this alias website. This particular viewer and listener said you should see her
Twitter account. There's very concerning commentary on her Twitter account as early as last year
as it applies to taxes, as it applies to Alamaro County. She sent me screenshots,
this viewer and listener. We will show you those screenshots as we have now confirmed
this alias Twitter account for the candidate in the Jack Jewett District, Sally Duncan.
We're also going to highlight that yesterday we asked you, the viewer and listener, to
follow this alias Twitter account. Today, ladies and gentlemen. In fact, it happened last night.
Last night after the I Love Seaville show, ladies and gentlemen, the candidate, Sally
Duncan, within a few hours of the I Love Seaville show airing and asking you, the viewing public,
you the listening public, you the voting public to check out this Twitter account, she chose
to delete the alias Twitter account. But have
no fear, we have the receipts and we have the screen grabs and we're going to show them
today on the I Love Seaville show. Goodness gracious, we have a lot to cover. We also
have a brewing brouhaha in the city of Charlottesville. We now know that city manager Sam Sanders ordered the arrest of pedestrian advocate Kevin Cox.
Goodness gracious. This is a wild story.
Kevin Cox, who is a young 72 years old, ordered chalk from Amazon.
Chalk that could be wiped away with water. He then takes his Amazon purchase,
chalk to Elliott Avenue. And he takes the chalk to create a sidewalk on ‑‑ or a
crosswalk, a crosswalk on Elliott Avenue. This was the site of a teenager striking ‑‑ was it a Liberian woman?
Yes. A teenager ‑‑ was it last year?
Yes. Struck a Liberian woman on Elliott Avenue
with his car. Unfortunately killed this Liberian woman a mother. Kevin Cox, who is a pedestrian
advocate in the city said, goodness gracious, I'm going
to take matters in my own hands. I'm going to make a purchase on Amazon of chalk. I'm
going to go to Elliott Avenue and draw or create a sidewalk with the chalk. I'm going
to let city council and the city manager's office know that I'm going to buy a product
from Amazon that is chalk that can be removed with water in advance. I'm going to buy a product from Amazon that is chalk that can
be removed with water in advance. I'm going to go to Elliott Avenue, I'm going to create
a sidewalk where this woman, this mother was hit by a vehicle and eventually died.
City manager Sam Sanders has responded by arresting, having Charlottesville Police Department arrest Kevin Cox, the spry 72‑year‑old who is
now facing one year in the slammer for using chalk from Amazon to create a crosswalk at
the location that a Liberian mother died after being hit by a car driven by a teenager. I'm
going to dissect this story and ask you the viewer and listener,
who is right? Who is wrong? The 72‑year‑old Kevin Cox who used chalk from Amazon to draw
a crosswalk on the ground with markings that could be erased by water or the city manager
Sam Sanders who had the Charlottesville police department arrest the 72‑year‑old for
vandalism.
Goodness gracious, what a story. The Isle of Seville show has got a lot of content on a Friday
afternoon in downtown Charlottesville. Judah Wickhauer, studio camera, will welcome you on a
two-shot. God, I couldn't pick which story to lead with. The Alvaro County candidate Sally Duncan,
who has an alias Twitter account that is offering commentary at an alias Twitter
account that is extremely inflammatory, extremely inflammatory. We have those screenshots. We're
going to show them to the viewers and listeners. I'm going to compare and contrast Sally Duncan,
the candidate for Board of Supervisors, with Dr. Meg Bryce, the former candidate for School
Board. Interestingly, Sally Duncan is a teacher at a local private school, a local private school that is north of $25,000 a year in tuition.
I find it intriguing that Democrats in Almaro County, activists in the city of Charlottesville and Almaro County, are embracing Sally Duncan, teaching at a private school whose tuition is north of 25K, championing her, pedestaling her, where
they tarnished, tarred and feathered Meg Bryce for having kids at a local private school.
That reeks, ladies and gentlemen, of one word. What's that word? Say it loud for Sally in
the back, Judah Wickhauer.
I'd call it hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy. We're going to talk about it today. Which headline most intrigued you and why?
There's too many to choose from. I mean, deleting her alias Twitter account.
Because of the I Love Seville show. I think I've got to go with the Sam Sanders, Kevin Cox kerfuffle. I read the original article
to my parents last night and I don't know when the three of us have laughed that hard.
I still contend that article is comedy gold.
Hall Spencer, the author of that article, back to back articles of the daily progress
from Hall Spencer, one of the most talented reporters in the region. Who's right, who's wrong? Sam Sanders, the
city manager or 72‑year‑old Kevin Cox who is facing a year in the slammer for taking
chalk and creating a crosswalk on Elliott Avenue. Geez Louise, we are locked and loaded.
Charlottesville Sanitary Supply, 60 consecutive years in business.
John Vermillion, Andrew Vermillion, Charlottesville Sanitary Supply is where you need to shop for any sanitary needs, cleaning needs, pool needs.
Our pool is open. Our pool is serviced by the products sold at Charlottesville Sanitary Supply.
John Vermillion and Andrew Vermillion, some of the best in the business, love that family. Gosh, we got a good show for you today.
The lead has to be Sally Duncan. On yesterday's program, we played her 32nd television commercial,
a newly released spot, ladies and gentlemen. Am I on a two shot with you? Show that handsome
face, Judah Wittkower, and all that personality. Look at that face.
Look at that personality, ladies and gentlemen.
Yesterday we showed a 30‑second spot, a spot that inexplicably or strategically referenced
Donald Trump and the federal government for a commercial that was utilized to market a
campaign in Alvaro County.
She was utilizing Donald Trump as a lightning rod to try to galvanize interest.
I highlighted the political silence behind that yesterday. Then she uses the word in
the commercial investment three or four times, investing in schools, investing in housing,
investing in transportation. You look at that commercial and I will offer further analysis
on the I Love Seville network post show and it's clear that Sally Duncan is going to say
to taxpayers if she's elected, I want more of your freaking money. I want
you to open your purses. I want you to open your wallets. I want you to open your bank
accounts. I want you to take the cash that's under your bed and I want you to take the
cash that's in your cookie jar, take the cash in the Breyer's ice cream box that's in your
freezer and give it to us to Al Morrow because I want your money.
If you vote me, you're going to give it to the county of Al Morrow and it's nearly $600 million
plus budget. While offering my commentary and my analysis on the candidate in the Jack Jewett
District, I was sent off the record by a viewer and listener that I trust a website and a Twitter
account that was linked to the candidate Sally Duncan, her alias, her pseudonym, if you may.
This alias I spent a little bit of time looking.
And before I spent time looking at it, before I could spend a lot of time looking at it live on air yesterday, the viewer and listener then started sending
us screen grabs from her Twitter account. Screen grabs that confirmed that it was Sally
Duncan. Screen grabs that confirmed that Sally Duncan is very eager to tax Admiral Countian.
And I'm going to show you those screen grabs. We have the receipts, folks.
A mere couple hours after the I Love Seville show aired yesterday, the alias Twitter account
mysteriously is deleted. Now, when you go to Caris Adele, C-A-R-I-S-A-D-E-L on Twitter, and its interactions with socialist
dog mom Molly Cogner, a renowned socialist in the area, with activist Matthew Gillican,
the co-chair of Livable Seaville, a renowned activist in the area, the account has been
deleted.
Let's show you the receipts.
Judah Wichower, first the receipt that confirms the alias account is linked to Sally Duncan.
Can you put it on screen and give me a thumbs up when it is? Look at the screen. Viewers
and listeners, look at the screen. Look at the screen now. You see on screen the account and the response that clearly says,
my real name, it's super lame, ha ha ha, Sally Duncan, which on Internet usually gets turned into Sandy,
which I detest. Sally is bad enough. She's confirming it's her alias. Is she not, Judah?
Yeah. Clear confirmation. I want to send the second ‑‑ put the second screen shot on
screen. This is from March 2024 when she's talking about taxes. Can you put that on screen
now, Judah? It's on screen, viewers and listeners. On the ‑‑ in March of 2024, the alias account says in response to Molly Cogner, socialist
dog mom who actively covers politics locally, Sally Duncan and her alias account says direct
verbatim I will relay it to you, it's a good thing there's a lot of rich property owners
we can tax instead. It's a good thing there's a lot of rich property owners we can tax instead. It's a good thing there's a lot of rich property owners we can
tax instead. She's literally touting increased taxes. Is she not, Judah?
»» She definitely is. »» She also says even a modest 4% wealth
tax on people whose total assets exceed 50 million could generate upward of 40 billion
in additional revenue. 400.
400.
Excuse me.
There's more screenshots we should show.
How about the one where she's interacting with Matthew Gillican of Livable Seaville?
Remember, Livable Seaville is the activist organization that pushed the new zoning ordinance
through and is encouraging all local governments to increase taxes as much as possible for
housing affordability initiatives.
Liveable Seaville is also the culprit behind the new zoning ordinance that's mired in quicksand,
a lawsuit that will continue for a long period of time that is wasting taxpayer dollars.
Sally Duncan says this makes me so mad.
It's so freak and stupid and such terrible policy.
Tax these people and fund our damn schools. Does
she say that, Judah? It's on screen. And then, ladies and gentlemen, the last screen shot that
shows the Twitter account has been deleted. Put it on screen, Judah Wickauer. This happens mere
hours after I talked about it yesterday on the I love Seville show. The screen, the Twitter account has been deleted. Ladies and gentlemen, but have no fear we have the receipts.
We will publish them on the I love Seville network. We have a candidate running for the
Amaro County seat in the Jack Jewett district that is so, so inspired or clouded by taxing
so inspired or clouded by taxing you, you and you,
that she's posting it through an alias Twitter account with vigor and with intensity.
I'm gonna ask you, the viewer and listener,
a lot of questions today.
I'm gonna also highlight that Sally Duncan
is a teacher at a local school,
the Renaissance School in downtown Charlottesville,
where tuition is $25,750 a year.
Judah Wickhauer, you should have multiple lower thirds on screen.
The first four should flip on screen over and over again.
We have a candidate who is a teacher at the Renaissance School in downtown Charlottesville
where tuition is $25,750 a year.
We have a candidate with an alias Twitter account
that is very visibly saying we're gonna tax
Alamo County residents so we can fund local schools.
I don't have a problem if someone works as a teacher
at a local private school and has a political platform
or political campaign that's championing
funding public schools.
I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with an alias account that straight
up says tax as many people as possible. I do have a problem with a candidate who is
touting the fact that she's a renter when in reality she's renting a fairly significant
and very expensive house in Earleysville that
is not cheap to rent.
We're not having a candidate here that is renting a small apartment.
She's renting a large house with a lot of acreage in Earleysville that ain't cheap.
I also think we should highlight the fact that her husband is Brennan Duncan, the chief
engineer in City Hall for Charlottesville.
We should highlight the fact that her partner works for Charlottesville. We should highlight the fact that her partner
works for Charlottesville City.
We should know that.
Why has that not been touted in her campaign?
I should certainly ask this question.
Why are activists in this community,
why are activists in Alamaro County
and why are activists in the city of Charlottesville
championing, pedestaling, lionizing Sally Duncan,
who's a private school teacher,
a teacher at a $25,750 a year private school,
lionizing her, but villainized Meg Bryce,
who had four kids in private schools
during her push for the Alamo County at large
seat on the school board. The same people that villainize Meg Bryce for having four
children in a private school are currently lionizing Sally Duncan despite the fact that
she's a teacher in a private school. Is that not hypocrisy, Judah Wickauer?
Help me understand it, please.
Help me understand it, please.
It's pretty close.
You can't say private schools are bad in one breath
and work at a private school in the next.
Advocates?
Tard and feathered, stigmatized.
Spray painted signs.
Spray painted her signs.
Questioned her character.
Lambasted her father who's passed away and is in heaven.
Attacked her family because her kids are in private schools.
And ladies and gentlemen, that behavior was done seven months ago, six months ago. are idolizing, lionizing, championing, pedestaling a candidate in the Jack Jewett District despite
the fact that she's chosen to teach at a nearly $26,000 a year tuition private school in downtown Charleston.
If you're on the correct side of the aisle.
Goodness gracious, ladies and gentlemen.
The same candidate who teaches at a nearly $26,000 a year private school has an alias
Twitter account that in clear fashion says, tax them as much as possible.
Whoa.
What do you make of this?
What do you make of the behavior of activists who villainize one person and six months,
seven months later lionize another?
And when do we as Alamaro County in say enough with the taxes. And her opponent, Dave Shreve, in the Jack Jewett race is
not perfect. He's far from it. But one thing Shreve does not have is the
apparatus or the machine backing him like Duncan does.
The apparatus and the machine that is backing Duncan
is the same apparatus and machine that is punch drunk
with taxation without representation.
And it is about damn time that Alamaro County and everywhere start getting the boxes of tea and take it to the Ravana River and throw it in the damn Ravana.
Comets coming in faster than I can keep up. Every media outlet locally watching the program. Judah Wichower,
jump in with commentary first.
As I said, it goes to show that if you're on the right side, the correct side of the
aisle, then almost any action is justified. This group will, as we mentioned, spray paint signs, demonize candidates,
minimize their, what, everything they've done based on who their father is.
I mean, essentially saying that you're not worth anything
as a woman because all we care about is your father.
He's talking about Meg Bryce there.
Meg Bryce.
And we'll turn around and support a candidate
who is on the correct side of the aisle.
Their version of the correct
side. Well yeah of course. Despite some glaring similarities, whether it's having
children in a private school or teaching in a private school, one would think that...
They fall in the same category. Yeah. If you don't like private schools,
is it better or worse having kids there or teaching there?
I don't know really what the difference is.
Unless you're on their side of the aisle.
Which is kind of sad. You know, we're not judging people
by the character of what's on the inside. We're judging people on external factors.
That's exactly what we shouldn't be doing. Well said. Bill McChesney watching the program.
William says this.
Delete her at the primary.
His words.
This race between Shreve and Duncan will be terminated in June at the Democratic primary.
You have two candidates running as Democrats that could not be more opposite.
Shreve has already said on the record we should not be increasing taxes and we
should certainly should not be increasing taxes to fund housing
affordability right and he has said if you make people who own homes or even
rent homes in Elmora County pay more taxes on their homes of course it's not
going to create affordability for them living in Elmora, which is a statement so obvious it's akin to we
need oxygen to live. And as soon as Shreve made those comments,
livable Charlottesville, an activist in the city of Charlottesville in Elmora County, started attacking him and utilizing the same playbook that was used against Meg
Bryce. And before Duncan jumped into the mix of politics, which is an ugly, ugly,
ugly game, she had an alias Twitter account that was out on the World Wide
Web. And one of the astute viewers and
listeners of this fine and fair talk show put this Twitter account and the corresponding alias
website on my radar. And before I had time to even dissect it, this viewer and listener was so
astute to take screen grabs of the Twitter account because she knew when she sent it to me and
when I started talking about it on yesterday's I Love Siebel show that the Democratic Party
of Almaro County and Sally Duncan's campaign would immediately try to delete and extinguish
all references to this alias and lo and behold, the viewer and listener was right. But Sally
Duncan made a mistake. She didn't delete this
prior to the campaign launching. And the screen grabs are now in our possession. So what we'll
do post I Love Seville show across the I Love Seville network is I'm going to showcase her
30 second ad and I'm going to put it right next to two screen grabs from her Twitter
account that confirm A, it's her Twitter account, she says I'm Sally Duncan, this is my alias, and B,
the screen grab that says tax them all in Alamaro County. Tax them all in Alamaro County.
And I'm going to allow you, the viewer and listener, to determine what you decide is
right or wrong or how you're going to vote. That's your call to
make. We utilize this platform to offer commentary on local news. You may not agree with
it, you may not disagree with it, but one thing I can say for certainty is a boat load of
effing people watching listen. So it's up to you to decipher how you're going to take it and what you're going to do with
it. Carol Thorpe watching the program in the Jack Jewett district. You are absolutely correct.
Charlottesville and Almarra are under the stranglehold of one party rule. I have found
hypocrisy, obsification and bullying are hallmarks of the collective Democrat socialist group. We are currently
witnessing similar post presidency revelations in D.C. Shameful all around and she gives Carol
Thorpe props to Judah Wickauer with this commentary specifically. Tina Breeden, welcome to
the program. Logan Walsh Claylow, welcome to the program. Tena Breeden, welcome to the program. Logan Walsh Claylow, welcome to
the program. Viewers and listeners from traditional media, welcome to the program and thank
you kindly for joining us. Television, radio and print, I would encourage you to watch what we're
highlighting on the I love Seville show and include this coverage in your traditional media cycles
as we head to the June primary which is about four
weeks away. Traditional media, viewers and listeners have a right to know about this. Deep
throat, offering some commentary, number one in the family, he says Sally Duncan's website is
truly bizarre. Deep throat also says it's kind of surprising that Sally Duncan's website is
Deep Throat also says it's kind of surprising that Sally Duncan's website is even crazier than the Center for the Advancement of Steady State Economy website. Dave Shreve's employer,
Diantha McKeel on Real Talk with Keith Smith this past Friday, not once, not twice, not three
times, but four times. Jack do Jack Jewett district
supervisor Diantha McKeel four times on the record on this show on this network
on Friday said check out Dave Shreve's employer and that's all she said but
when a strategic and astute multi-term school board and supervisor, Almara County candidate,
person, voted elected official makes a point in about a 30 second period of time
to say four times look at Dave Shreve's employer, she's doing that for a reason.
That's called strategic. If the commentary is out there to check out Dave Shree's employer and boy oh
boy do I think some of the commentary or some of the mission statements and some of the
ideologies of the center for advancement of a steady state economy is a bit loony. I also
think what Sally Duncan is doing on an alias Twitter account is extremely loony. Deep Throat says this,
when I read her alias website, I am put in the mind of a white Nikkei Walker.
I haven't even read that much, but that seems like a pretty accurate assessment.
The website, I would encourage you to read. How much you want to bet it's going to be taken down pretty soon? Yesterday we talked about our Twitter account and it was deleted. Is the
Sally Duncan campaign going to take down carissadel.com? I'll say it again for the viewers and
listeners who want to check it out on their own accord. And goodness gracious the commentary on Twitter was even more loony
tunes or cocoa for cocoa puffs than what's on this Twitter account. What's on this website,
excuse me. Are these the candidates that we have for the Jack Jewett seat, one of six people entrusted with
managing and allocating a budget yearly that is north of $600
million? At the federal level, we had to decide between weekend
at Bernie's, Joe Biden, on the federal level, we had to decide between all I can do
is read a teleprompter, Kamala Harris.
At the federal level, all we had to do
was we had to decide between felonious,
integrity-lacking Donald Trump.
And at the Jack Jewett district, we
have to decide between someone who
uses an alias that pumps
commentary about taxing everyone aggressively and her opponent, someone who is working for
an organization that talks about population control and other wackadoo commentary. Welcome
to politics in 2025, ladies and gentlemen.
Yep.
I'm getting insane.
Carol Thorpe, Jerry, for the love of God, you or I might need to run in the Jack Jewett
to offer a balanced opinion or option for voters.
Even if we didn't win, at least we could rip Duncan and Shreve to political shreds in forums and debates.
As of today I'm not voting for either of them.
What have we seen ‑‑ when was the last time we saw a debate around here? Do debates
even matter?
Neil Williamson recently had a forum, a forum sponsored by Diantha McKeel herself this past week highlighting the Jack
Jewitt district candidates, Dave Shreve and Sally Duncan. I think his efforts are very
noble, Neil Williamson. I do not think a lot of people actually heard or listened to that
forum, however. It happened to coincide with some pretty torrential rain as well. No doubt.
Unfreaking believable, ladies and gentlemen.
Jason Noble, Jesse Rutherford, welcome to the program.
Tom Powell, Kerry Griggs, Aaron King, Chad Wood, Michael Guthrie, Ray Kaddell, welcome
to the program.
Elected officials from three jurisdictions watching the I Love Seville show as we speak.
Bill McChesney says population control smacks of eugenics.
Scary stuff. I encourage you to watch the I love Seville network after this show airs. I'm
going to offer some commentary with the 30 second commercial and these screen grabs side by
side and just offer some factual turn of events for your consideration. John Blair offers some
John Blair offers some comments. Jerry, I will not comment on either candidate, but there is a pretty interesting macro dichotomy going on here that displays the split of the older
Reagan coalition, ironically in a democratic primary. Reagan unified business and taxpayers
with a growth coalition. But in this election you probably have one candidate who will approve most of what home builders developers want,
Sally Duncan in terms of construction. But you have another candidate who is likely to
not raise taxes at all but probably will approve few if any developments. Very interesting.
They are polar opposites despite being Democrats. He's exactly right. And the most intriguing element of all this, if Duncan is
elected, she will coincide with votes with Mike Pruitt who's watching the program of the
Scottsville district. And Pruitt and Duncan may be enough to lure Ned Galloway who is running unopposed to offer them three votes for density
and tax increases under Supervisor Galloway. And again, I love Supervisor Galloway. I encourage
you to contribute to his GoFundMe. His house burned down earlier in the week. Very sad
turn of events. I love Ned Galloway the person. He is a great man. He cares about Alamara
County. He's a great guy that I belly up to a bar with and have a couple beers with. I love Ned Galloway the person. He is a great man. He cares about Alamara County. He's a great guy that I belly up to a bar with and have a couple beers with. I don't
always agree with his politics and I certainly have a serious concern or serious pushback
with under his watch the 4 cent real estate tax rate that just happened while assessments
have uptick dramatically. I got this anonymous comment sent to me this morning. Jerry, I was listening to yesterday's show early this morning. I want to circle back
to something I think you mistakenly brushed by. When Deep Throat gave assessment numbers
of Alamaro County assessments in 2019 were 20 billion and in 2024 Alvaro County assessments were 34 billion. You pegged that in a very
misleading way of 40%. For one thing my math was off there and I think you were going to
point that out yesterday that my math was off.
Something seemed off to me.
I'm doing this literally on the fly here. Okay. So my math, it clearly is not 40%. Okay.
We're talking, north of 60% over there?
I'd have to hear the numbers again. not 40%. Okay. We're talking, north of 60% over there? So it's not a 40% increase. 2019
assessments 20 billion, Alamara County. 2024 assessments in Alamara County, 34 billion.
This anonymous commenter says this, first let's move that 34 billion in 2024 to $37.4 billion in 2025 due to another 5% increase plus 5%
rate increase. So 2025 is 37.4 compared to 2019 of 20 billion. He says that's an 87%
increase in six years. Now, of course, there is much more product now, there is more product
but not much more, he says. So in six years, an 87% increase. I need you to keep this anonymous,
Jerry, but if your company, Charlottesville Business Brokers, can find me something that
will give me an 87% return in six years, then I have a check ready to go for you right now. No doubt. That's a
heavy hitter that sent me that message. Goodness gracious. This community never seems to
disappoint. How about this story?
Let's go to the next lower thirds on screen.
As we segue, in a perfect segue as William has highlighted, is the fact that Brennan
Duncan is involved with both stories today.
First Brennan is the husband of Sally Duncan.
Second Brennan is the chief engineer at City Hall. He was one of the people responsible for Kevin Cox's arrest on Elliott Avenue for using
chalk that he purchased from Amazon.
The biggest mistake Kevin Cox made, purchasing the chalk from Amazon as opposed to purchasing
the chalk from Whimsys.
That's the biggest mistake you made, Kevin Cox.
Purchasing it from Amazon instead of purchasing it from what's a local place that sells chalk?
Maybe Michael's.
Michael's isn't effing local?
Geez, Louise.
You had a chance to come in with a local ‑‑ purchasing the chalk from Amazon as opposed
to purchasing the ‑‑ I'm trying to think of a place that sells spray chalk.
Spray chalk. He had spray chalk. It wasn't just like ‑‑
Who sells local spray chalk? Charlottesville sanitary supply sells local spray chalk?
Maybe. That's the biggest mistake you made. Purchasing
it through the devil, Kevin Cox. Don't purchase through
the devil, Kevin Cox. I'll get to the story. Kevin Cox, the 72‑year‑old ‑‑ Judah
is saying you're on the cusp of blasphemy over here, Jerry. The 72‑year‑old Charlottesville
man Kevin Cox buys spray chalk from Amazon. He warns City Hall, City Council and City Manager Sam Sanders that he's going to
take the spray chalk that can be erased with water, sends him a message saying it can be
erased.
Send Sanders an email.
Sends the City Manager an email, Sam Sanders, that this spray chalk can be deleted and erased
with water. Let's him know that. The 72‑year‑old man hobbles, waddles,
almost like a peg‑leg pirate trotting the boardwalk, trotting a plank off the boat.
The 72‑year‑old spray chalk in hand, rickety hips and rickety bones heading to Elliott Avenue, waddling like a peg-legged pirate, trots over to Elliott Avenue, looks at the
scene and says, God damn somebody died here last year, a Liberian woman struck
by a vehicle killed by a teenager because this dangerous intersection doesn't have a
crosswalk. I feel inspired as a rickety old bone 72-year-old to take this spray chalk
that is erasable with water and I'm going to chalk a crosswalk to pay homage to honor the death of a Liberian mother who was struck by a speeding, tricked
out Honda Civic driven by a teenager with base bumping Christopher Wallace and Biggie
Smalls. He then chalks the crosswalk and he lets local government know that he was going to do it in advance and the fact
that it can be erased with water.
Sam Sanders says, uh-uh, no sir.
I'm going to send the police department and contact Chief Cotches, the George Clooney
of Policing.
The George Clooney of Policing. His boss is Sam Sanders. The George Clooney of
policing realizes this is probably loony tunes that the police department is going to have
to investigate a 72‑year‑old man who notified local government that he bought spray chalk
on Amazon and that you could erase it with water. But he's stuck in a rock and a hard place because his
boss is Sam Sanders, the CEO. So the George Clooney of policing says okay, let's use taxpayer
resources and send detectives and police officers over there to investigate. They look at the
spray chalk. They don't go like this like I do with my son after he's eating go-go
squeeze yogurts in the car. They don't grab their figures, lick it in their mouth like
I'm doing right now and wipe my son's face off after he's had some soft chocolate chip
cookies and has crumbles on his face or has the residue from go go squeeze blueberry yogurt on his chin, I always wipe
his face off. He hates it, but I don't want him to go to kids club or to school with yogurt
residue on his chin, so I use my finger and my saliva to wipe his mouth and to get his
mouth clean. The officers don't do that. They don't get some hose. They don't get their coffee cup, their water cup and spray it or spill it on the ground
and use their hand to wipe it.
They determine that it is permanent.
And they call it vandalism.
Then they send city workers over to Elliott Avenue.
And what is the terminology they did, Judah, to that crosswalk?
Oh, man.
Well, let's see.
Bill McChesney says Martin hardware, Kevin Cox, has some spray chalk you could buy there.
That's the biggest mistake you made, Kevin Cox.
What did they do?
Did they asphalt over it?
Did they black paint over it? Yeah. And it cost taxpayers more than $500 to black paint over this.
The responding officer was unable to ascertain
the substance he used.
So she summoned personnel from the city yard.
And they determined the markings could not be removed.
So they left and returned with their equipment to paint over the markings.
The cost for repair totaled $530.59.
So the city manager orders the police chief to send police officers to a crosswalk.
The police officers go to a crosswalk.
They don't take their coffee cup, which I have in my hand, or their water cup, and spray a little water on the crosswalk to see if it can wipe
off.
Instead they determine it's permanent vandalism.
When they determine it's permanent vandalism, although it's water soluble, they go and arrest
a 72‑year‑old man with riggedy knees and riggedy hips and hang a year in jail over his head.
Then they call the city yard and say black paint over that crosswalk and cost taxpayers
more than $500.
And it gets even worse.
Kevin Cox realizes he has so much leverage
in the battle of perception versus City Hall.
So much leverage in the battle of public perception
that Kevin Cox has hired noteworthy attorney,
Peter Frazier, to defend him.
And Peter Frazier says on the record, quote,
I have been retained and I absolutely look
forward to taking this to trial.
So this Sam Sanders decision of ordering the police chief who then orders detectives to
go to a crosswalk that was created by spray chalk that can be erased by water. Then arresting a man, hanging a year in jail for vandalism
over his head, then ordering other city employees to black paint over the crosswalk is now resulting
in the 72‑year‑old rickety man going to court with a noteworthy attorney to fight
this in court costing taxpayers even more money.
That literally is happening right now.
I can't make that up, can I?
It would be pretty hard to.
I mean, I could never think up something like that.
It just is so absurd.
It's so absurd.
And if ‑‑ I don't know.
I suppose they could have spent longer painting over the chalk. And it says,
Haas Spencer notes in the article that if the cost of repair had gone over $1,000,
he could be looking at five years in prison for chalk. Sanity. The city, it's sanity. Kevin Cox, I encourage you to come on the I Love Seville
show. Brig your attorney Peter Frazier. Did anyone think this through? And who's more to blame, Judah? Peter calls Peter Frazier a bull dog of a
lawyer. He's going to make the rubble bounce. He also says you should also know that Kevin
Cox's wife is visually impaired and has had to deal with navigating the ridiculously obstructed
sidewalks in the city. So you can understand why Kevin Cox has a beef
with the city. His wife is visually impaired. It's for her safety, along with paying homage and
honor to the fallen Liberian woman who was struck by a teenager driving a tricked out Honda Civic,
bumping biggie smalls through a base so loud that the basketball players at Tonsler Park were bricking free throws because of
distraction.
The Reddit crowd came out for this.
They're not happy.
It's interesting.
The Reddit crowd, when the Reddit crowd has the back of the chalk artists, you know the
city of Charlottesville has stepped in the doo-doo.
Oh, yeah.
Am I not right on that?
You're right. Here's one. Cool, cool. Arrest the one guy that has done more than
almost anyone to help our kids cross the street safely without getting killed.
Juan Sarmiento working for watching the show, works for Charlottesville City. His
exact words, Juan Sarmiento, his photo on screen. I cannot
believe I actually work with these people in Charlottesville. Juan Sarmiento offers
that commentary during the I Love Seaville show. The response to using water ‑‑ to
a 72‑year‑old man utilizing spray chalk that can be erased with water is the city
manager ordering the police chief to send detectives and police officers to the scene
of the crime to arrest the man for vandalism.
And you want to bring this back to the Duncans? Make the link. Show is on effing
fire today. Sometimes you know when you do a good show, sometimes you know when you do
a bad show. I'm going to be a little braggadocious, effing fire today. And you carrying the load,
Judah Wickauer. Bring it back to the Duncans. There's a comment asking if we can get a fire
Brennan Duncan petition going.
And another comment saying I hope at one of these candidate forums someone asks Sally Duncan
if she approves of her husband's having pedestrian advocates arrested for pointing out his failure.
Sally, is this the relationship you envision between residents and government?
And somebody asks livable Seaville why their pedestrian advocacy
falls conspicuously silent with respect to Vernon Duncan's anti-pedestrian philosophy.
Are they pulling punches because LC supports Sally Duncan?
Have you noticed that Livable Seaville has fallen from grace in Charlottesville and Almar
County? You saw some of Livable Seaville fall from grace in Charlottesville and Almar County. You saw some of livable Seaville fall from grace in Charlottesville, Almar County,
when Shannon Gillican, the wife of the co-chair of livable Seaville, Matthew Gillican, was utilizing
her position as the president of the teacher union to try to leverage the University of Virginia out
of the Federal Executive Institute. We all basically said, hey, UVA, if they pull their
application or choose to give the federal executive institute to
Charlottesville, none of that can ever materialize. It's a 30-year commitment if UVA gets it.
And if UVA pulls its application for the federal executive institute, it could go to another
party, not Charlottesville. So stop being a kindergarten teacher or you're a kindergarten
teacher trying to negotiate with the big boys. And then a lot of people on social media basically said this is very concerning that the president of the teacher union is the wife of the co-chair
of livable Seaville and their politics are infiltrating the city in a number of different
regards including against and what is best for city school students. Now this with Brennan
Duncan. Speaking of students, someone else mentions, wait,
it was chalk, not paint. So when your little kids are outside playing with sidewalk chalk
and they're designed veers slightly on the city property, they're looking at hard time,
nice. What are you in for? Peppa Pig's ear stretched beyond the driveway. I mean, like I said, this story is comedy gold.
No, take it a step further. You know those streets in Belmont that have the sundials
painted on them? Any of those people that painted the sundials ‑‑ if I was Peter
Frazier I would do this. I would go to Belmont,
I would take pictures of the sun dials that were painted on the streets in Belmont with
permanent paint. And ask who is getting arrested next.
Who is being arrested and this is going to be well over $1,000 because this is permanent
paint. It's not water soluble spray chalk. Sam Sanders, you've stepped at a pile of doodoo here, sir. A pile
of doodoo, Sam Sanders. Because if Peter Frazier is going to go to Belmont, Peter Frazier, listen
to this program. Kevin Cox, listen to this program. This should be part of your defense,
Peter Frazier. Are you listening to me, Peter Frazier and Kevin Cox? Part of your defense
should be go to Belmont, take pictures of the painted sundials that
have been on those streets for a decade plus and say why did the city hall and the police
department not arrest the people who did these permanent sundials painted in Belmont but
you chose to arrest a 72‑year‑old man whose wife is impaired, who is doing his best to honor
a dead Liberian woman who was struck by a vehicle driven by a teenager and a tricked
out Honda Civic blasting biggie smalls on base. Insanity. Insanity, ladies and gentlemen. Absolute insanity.
And to be fair, I don't think either side is right in this.
Haas makes a good point in his article, in this most recent article, saying that ‑‑
I don't know if it's his point, but they make a point that this could be ‑‑ Afton Schneider
makes the point. It was determined that illegal infrastructure
was placed in city right of way. It was removed because it had potential to put the public at risk to which we are responsible. Now, I can understand that, but I still say that
putting a stop walk, stop cross walk there would not necessarily have prevented the woman's
death.
That's a hell of an assumption.
That's a hell of an assumption.
I wouldn't want to make assumptions like that.
It's just as much of an assumption that having a crosswalk there, having yellow lines would
have stopped this young person from speeding and ‑‑ It's a hell of an assumption.
Deep Throat makes the point. Sam Sanders knew it was water soluble chalk and withheld that
information from police. Sanders should be the one arrested for filing a false police
report. He says the city manager knew it was water soluble and did not tell the police it was water soluble in
their investigation. This puts the police department, which we back, we love the police
department, we love the police, we love my conscience, we love what they're doing, but it
puts them in a terrible position. They're in a terrible position here. They're being used
They're in a terrible position here. They're being used for all the wrong reasons. Carol Thorpe, Jerry, do you recall several years ago when Black Lives Matter and defund
the police activists would routinely spray paint graffiti on the Charlottesville City
Police Department building and onto the sidewalk and pavement on the road. City taxpayers were on the financial hook for the cost of
having city employees scrub it clean. This happened multiple times. I don't recall anyone
getting charged criminally or financially for doing this. Do you? No, no one did. Carol
Thorpe is exactly right. Great comment from the queen of Jack Jewett. There's a mailbox
right outside of the I Love Seville studio, a U.S. post office mailbox. What is on the back, spray painting on the back of
that U.S. post office box? That mailbox?
I don't even have to look. It's ACAB.
ACAB? What's that stand for?
I believe it stands for all cops are bastards.
Okay. Whoever spray painted that on the back of a U.S. post office box, that's a federal
crime.
Messing with United States post office boxes is a federal crime.
You get a boatload of trouble if you're a kid and a teenager and you go mailbox knocking
where you're in a car and someone's hanging out the window with a baseball bat, whacking
mailboxes down, that's serious, serious trouble. Someone graffitied a U.S.
post office box during the Black Lives Matter movement. The spray paint is still there.
Those people didn't get in trouble. They spray painted the police department. Those people
didn't get in trouble. But a 72-year-old man is getting the city manager pushing a year
in jail against him. Wait until you see what happens with Peter Frazier utilizing
this to make the city look bad and then you got a bulldog reporter and Hall Spencer on
the beat covering this like a dog with the bone. And that, my friends, is the Friday
edition of the I Love Seville show. For Judah Wickhauer and Jerry Miller, we are off Monday. But boy oh boy, did we bring it for you today.
So long everybody.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you..
