Starting point is 00:00:00 Because you know I'm a little OCD. Would you say I'm a little OCD? I'm a lot of OCD. Good Friday afternoon, guys. I'm Jerry Miller. Thank you kindly for joining us on the I Love Seville Show. It's the water cooler of content and conversation. In Charlottesville, Central Virginia, the Commonwealth, the country, and the world,
Starting point is 00:00:17 we encourage you, the viewer and listener to shape the show, shape the discussion, offer us talking points and content matter that you'd like to see cover on the program. We want to be the water cooler. the content does not need to originate with us. We're going to talk today on the show about the Almore County School Board meeting last night that had brouhaha, it had drama, it had intensity, it had profanity, it had captivated audiences. It was a version of the young and the restless meets law and order meets Larry King Live.
Starting point is 00:00:59 And as we wake up this morning in central Virginia, as we head to our office in Charlottesville and Alamara County and this fine country we live within, the Almaral County School Board has determined that totalitarianism is the right path to pursue and that free speech in the First Amendment is no longer most important. one of the most interesting wrinkles of the school board meeting last night Judah did you notice that Allison Spillman was not present LinkedIn is live we are live on LinkedIn for the viewers and listeners that love to watch on LinkedIn the show airs on 15 Facebook pages 15 Twitter accounts iTunes Apple Podcasts I mean everywhere the show was airing did you notice Allison Spillman was not present I did very timely
Starting point is 00:01:50 absenteeism from the embattled Alison Spillman, who loves to pound the white claw late night and flex her keyboard bustles on social media under an alias personal Facebook account. There's a lot we're going to unpack on the show. I'm excited to connect with you guys, the viewers and listeners. We have a Virginia basketball game tonight. The Wahoos, ladies and gentlemen, face Miami. It's a tip off at 7 o'clock on ESPN2. 7 o'clock tip off on ESPN2. UVA is a slight favorite on a neutral court in Charlotte,
Starting point is 00:02:28 who's a three and a half point favorite, the over under at 143 and a half. Virginia has a clear path to face Duke, which faces Clemson and the other ACC semi-final matchup. That one tips off at 9.30 p.m. On paper, it suggests that heavily favored Duke 10.5 points and Virginia will face on Saturday and an ACC championship with Duke missing two key starters.
Starting point is 00:02:52 UVA's got a path to the ACC tournament title here, folks. And a higher ranking in the NCAA tournament comes selection Sunday a few days from now. A lot we're going to cover on the program, including the Free Bridge Homeless Encampment. Goodness gracious, did you see the content we posted on social media? We posted it everywhere. It has gone viral.
Starting point is 00:03:14 In fact, this is what I'm going to do. I believe I posted this two days ago. I'm going to go to my personal Facebook page, Remember, I posted this on Facebook, 15 Facebook pages, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, literally every social media platform possible. So, Judah, you get your glasses on? Yeah. I'm going to show the viewers and listeners, the post that I did here, I'm going to show it to you with the Free Bridge, Homeless Encampment. You see the photo, viewers and listeners.
Starting point is 00:03:44 You see it, put yourself on a two shot. You see it there. I can go to see insights right under the photo. And this is just on my personal page. Remember, I posted this on 30 different pages. See Insights. What is the total view count of this one post? Just so you're seeing, I'm doing it in front of them.
Starting point is 00:04:02 Okay, right? There's the post. See Insights. I'm tapping it. I'm going to slide up. What's the total view count of that one post? It looks like 171,000. $170,970,000.
Starting point is 00:04:20 people, 170,975 views of the one post on my personal Facebook page, and it does not include the nearly 30 other posts or pages or platforms that we posted that commentary on. Just on my personal page, it's gone viral. It's been shared by 278 Facebook accounts, has 699 comments, and is now not even 48 hours later, 171,000 call it, 171,000 views. Ladies and gentlemen, it is very clear to me, and it's a dividing topic. It is very clear to me that the Free Bridge Homeless Encampment, are we going to first give it a moniker?
Starting point is 00:05:11 Is the name for it, the Free Bridge Homeless Encampment, or do we need to reenact the moniker from the Market Street Park Homeless Encampment, where we dubbed it Sandersville. The city manager of Sam Sanders. His last name is Sanders. This is a nod, a tip of the cap, if you may, an infamous tip of the cap, if you may, to Hooverville and the Great Depression.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Is the tip of the cap, the infamous tip of the cap to Sam Sanders-Sandersville for the homeless encampment under Freebridge? Is it just a Freebridge encampment? And I need to emphasize this. I am all for a hand up for people. I'm not in favor of a hand out. And my friend, Mike, I'm not going to utilize his last name
Starting point is 00:05:58 because he hasn't given me permission to say this on air. I'm going to call him Mike M. Mike M. He says this. Making people more comfortable doing drugs and living under a bridge is not compassion. The city of Charlottesville, with your money, taxpayer money, we're on a two shot here, J-Dubs. City of Charlottesville, with Judah's money, my money, your money, viewers and listeners.
Starting point is 00:06:22 The taxes you pay when you buy groceries, when you buy meals at restaurants, when you buy stuff on shelves from stores, the taxes you pay with your real estate, and if you're a tenant, you're still paying real estate taxes, it's built into your lease. It's your money. Charlottesville is making a homeless encampment that's growing by the day. Count the tents. It's growing literally by the day. much more comfortable for air quotes the residents by providing hotel services for them
Starting point is 00:06:56 bathrooms janitorial attention used dirty blood dripping heroin needle dispenser kits you want to you want to shoot some white china you want to chase the dragon you want to You want to pump some H into your veins? Don't throw the dirty needle into the Rivana River, thank God. Charlottesville local government will give you containers for those blood-dripping used dirty white china needles. Put them in the containers, please, Jesus. Heaven forbid our children swim in the Rivana River. Our German shepherds chase the tennis ball into the Rivana River.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Heaven forbid we go kayaking or canoeing or floating. the river because who wants to get stabbed by a white china syringe. Don't know that matters what kind of syringe it is. I don't think anyone wants to get stabbed by it. Go chase the dragon under the Free Bridge encampment. And you know what? People give me grief. And my friend Mike says, keep up the pace and tempo.
Starting point is 00:08:09 Inner circle friend. Keep up the pressure on this homeless encampment. He says, who wants to go for a walk along the scenic Rivana River? to ask you. Nobody anymore. No one does. No one wants to walk the Rivana Trail. Urban wilderness loop. That is a fantastic amended amenity for Charlottesville, Namar County. Was. Was. Past tense. I'm going to ask very uncomfortable questions on today's show. Sandersville
Starting point is 00:08:36 or the White China encampment has local government just devalued real estate all along High Street, the Rivana River, the Rivana Trail in the Woolen Mills neighborhood? What's the neighborhood on the other side of Freebridge called? Any viewers and listeners? Can you give me the name of the neighborhood over there by tractor supply? What's that called?
Starting point is 00:09:04 I got to, how about this question, okay? How about this question? There's legitimately a business locally that's called the Rivana River Company. And their headquarters is next to Sandersville. If you are the owners of the Rivana River Company or Sugar Bear or Kozner Brothers or Hogwaller Brewer, what has this done, Sandersville, to your business, the values of your business, the real estate of your business, or the homes that are owned by residents, citizens, taxpayers around the encampment. If someone were to go to sell their home today near Sandersville, what does Sandersville do for valuation?
Starting point is 00:10:02 Sincere question. Viewers and listeners. What does the white China encampment do for the Rivana River Company? The Rivana River Company's entire business is encouraging human beings to get in the river at Sandersville at the white China encampment trailhead. See, these are the conversations that we have on the show, and these are the conversations that we need to have in Charlottesville. Pandora's box has been opened, and Pandora's box leads to collateral damage, and it leads to consequences. What is going on here, ladies and gentlemen?
Starting point is 00:10:51 And, you know, I caught so much flak when I posted this. And I was, first off, I was surprised with how even the comments were. 50%, I'd probably say it's even more from an eye test standpoint. It looked like about 60 or 65% of the comments were like, what the hell is going on here? The white China encampment, Sandal, is an abomination. then 35% of the folks, 35, ladies and gentlemen, were flabbergasted, infuriated, frustrated, appalled with my commentary. By now you've read it. I'll relay it live on air, and we're going to talk about it on today's show. I ask these questions. I said, there's a homeless encampment in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia, under Freebridge on the Rivano,
Starting point is 00:11:51 next to the Rivana River. Tons of trash, tents, and trauma. City Hall announced it would provide wraparound services for the encampment, including portable bathrooms, used heroin needle disposal containers, janitorial support, and other outreach efforts funded by taxpayers.
Starting point is 00:12:12 The homeless encampment has cometeered, a trailhead on one of the city's best amenities, an urban wilderness loop complemented by a historically significant river that's popular for canoeing, kayaking, and its scenic wildlife and landscapes. Why would the city allocate taxpayer dollars to provide provisions for a borderline criminal tent town? Why would the city cannibalize a resource for locals who pay their taxes and instead gift it to vagrants and vagabonds? why would the city prioritize 225 homeless people over 45,000 citizens, rather than simply banning public camping?
Starting point is 00:12:56 Make it make sense. Someone posted this or sent this to me. Jerry, can you imagine in a world where 200 people from Farmington, or 200 people from Lair, or 200 people from Lair, or 200 people from Ednam or 200 people from Floriden or 200 people from Glenmore or 200 people from North Downtown or the Greenbrier neighborhood or 200 people from Keswick estates they band together galvanized and strategized and organized and they decided we're going to commodeer a public park and we're going to post up all our tents and we're going to drive our land rovers and our
Starting point is 00:13:43 Bentley's and our Rolls Royces and our priests and our X-7s? What are you doing? Push it in. I'm hearing some feedback or something. Is the sound good? You're the director and producer here. It's mostly good. Can you imagine a world where folks from various neighborhoods choose to galvanize and camp at a public park? what would the response be to that?
Starting point is 00:14:16 How would activists locally respond to 200 people from Farmington or 200 people from Edom or Florida or 200 people from Glenmore or Keswick Estates or north downtown choosing to camp on their own accord in a public park somewhere in Charlottesville City? The activists locally in this community would be infuriated. Make it make sense. You know, and all, well, we should ask John Vermilion about. about this. We should ask, we should ask La Mieto Kana family about this. We should ask the
Starting point is 00:14:58 sugar bear owner about this. The Hallwaffe Brewing Company team. Kim Kossner, we should ask about this. We should ask Fabio's about this. We should ask Riverside Burger about this. We should ask tubbies about this. We should ask the Woolen Mills neighborhood about this. Those comments on the talk show, those talking points on the talk show today, I want to give some love to Charlottesville Sanitary Supply and Charlottesville Swiming Pool Company and Charlottesville Sanitary Company. John Vermillion and Andrew Vermillion at Charlottesville Swimming Pool Company and Charleston Pool Supply. Ladies and gentlemen, they are the best of the best. They have an e-commerce website, Charlottesville Sanitary Supply at Charlottesphal Sanitary Supply.com. They have a swimming pool company that is your concierge or consulted for anything swimming pool related.
Starting point is 00:15:55 swimming pool construction above ground around fiberglass pools gunite swimming pools pool covers pool robots water testing chlorine pool supplies anything Charlottesville swimming pool company.com and anything cleaning Charlottesville sanitary supply.com free delivery from a business that's been around 62 years years backed by five generations of vermilions including three generations of vermilion operators The best of the best. Let's lead with Alamara County. Judy, you are really distracting me with the...
Starting point is 00:16:31 Okay. What is it that is going on with tech? I don't know. Are you hearing something? You're constantly fidgeting over there. Is it good? No, it's not good, but I think we'll be fine. Alamara County last night at its school board meeting
Starting point is 00:16:49 in overwhelming, overwhelming landslide voting support pretty much green-lit the castration of student club autonomy and decision-making by putting a cap on when students can club. We be clubbing. You'd be clubbing? I'd be clubbing.
Starting point is 00:17:16 When students can choose to gather before school, there's a 45-minute time limit. After school, there's a 45-minute time limit. If Almaro County's administration does not like what a student club is doing, it legitimately can dissolve the club and take the club's money. It must approve all of club flyers, all of club marketing material, all of club agenda, all of club talking points, all club speakers. It must approve all of club fundraising efforts on school grounds and off school grounds. it can limit speakers on what they can and cannot do, what they can and cannot say. Al Morrow County can legitimately take the money that is donated from private citizens and businesses to clubs of their choice and take that money and put it into an Al Morrow County bank account.
Starting point is 00:18:17 So let me put this in perspective for you. And do you need to look at the connections here? No, it's good. Okay. Let me put this. Thank you very much. Your enterprising, talented director and producer. I understand that we're doing things on the fly. This is completely live content.
Starting point is 00:18:32 It's unscripted outside. The bullet points the on screen. We legitimately adapt on the fly to what's coming in on 30 social media channels the program is airing upon. Okay? Sometimes we're really good at what we do. Sometimes we're really bad at what we do. Sometimes it's the fault of technology. Our internet service provider, other times would,
Starting point is 00:18:52 we screw up, it's the fault of me, yours truly. It's rarely, if ever, the fault of Judah. I sincerely mean that. Jim Dillenbeck, the only dissenting vote. Allison Spillman, who was leading this charge, didn't even show up to the school board meeting. A hell of a coincidental, hell of a coincidental absenteeism from Allison Spillman. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:18 The ringleader of the totalitarianism, the ringleader of, anti-free speech does not show up to the most contentious and populated school board meeting in maybe a generation.
Starting point is 00:19:36 One that has TP USA Turning Point USA national organization, not the local chapter, but national organization attention. Allison Spillman is absent. The last time the
Starting point is 00:19:53 embattled schoolborn member Spillman, the at-large member, was in the crossfire. She was crying on the dais. I'm totally fine if people cry. But the last time she was in the crossfire, she was crying. Some called them alligator tears.
Starting point is 00:20:11 Apologizing for comparing the TPUSA, Western Amarro Chapo to the Ku Klux Klan after pounding some white claws getting a little tipsy and flexing her keyboard muscles on an alias Facebook profile account.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Isn't hate speech exactly what she wants to stop? Parents, if you're an Almore County parent, regardless of your ideology, regardless if you're a Democrat, liberal, Republican and conservative, libertarian,
Starting point is 00:20:42 ambivalent, don't give a care, what you woke up to this morning should infuriate you. Your students, your children, your children, the heart, your heart that's walking outside your body, the extracurricular activities that they do that helps create quality of life, and even more importantly, perhaps, helps them get into college, extracurricular clubs, a well-rounded applicant for college.
Starting point is 00:21:16 This morning, the extracurricular activities and the clubs your students are a part of, are under the dictatorship of Alamoire County Public Schools and its school board members who have absolute authority. I'll read the definition of totalitarianism. I've got it here too. Read it to me. Read it to me, Judah. Read it to me. Totalitarianism. A system is centralized and dictatorial and requires complete subservience to the state. Um, um, an expanded, uh, uh, uh, expanded, uh, explanation is totalitarianism is a form of government that seeks total control over all public and private life through a single party a powerful dictator and an official ideology key characteristics include terror tactics surveillance media censorship and economic control okay okay so
Starting point is 00:22:16 anyone let me let me let me highlight this economic control a key tenet of totalitarian Almaro County Public Schools controls the money of the student clubs now. Economic Control. Censorship. Censorship. Al Morrow County Public Schools can dictate who speaks at the club. The materials presented at the club. The talking points of the club. The agenda of the club.
Starting point is 00:22:45 It also eliminates individual freedom and demands total submission to the state. This is, Almaro County Public Schools are the definition of totalitarianism. With one dissenting vote. Jim Dillonback, praise Jim. If Jim was here, I'd give him a flying chest bump and a fist bump, and Judah knows I would do that. I'd give him a fist bump, too. Praise Jim. For standing up for the students.
Starting point is 00:23:19 The only individual in an auditory. that's interestingly located in the city of Charlottesville but it's an auditorium and an office building for Alborough County. Make that make sense. The only individual on the dais that speaks up against totalitarianism is
Starting point is 00:23:38 Jim Dillon Beck. The author, the momentum behind the totalitarianism was absent. They read a statement from her. that she provided, but she did not have the Cajones, the gumption, the courage, the Moxie, the Hootspa, to show up in person for fear of alligator tears again? Maybe she didn't feel she could produce them again.
Starting point is 00:24:19 And I'm going to ask very straightforward questions. Viewers and listeners, viewers and listeners, viewers and listeners, parents, parents today, if you're not angry, or if you're not asking questions or emailing your school board representative or your principal, I think you're doing a disservice not just to your kids, but to your kids' kids, should they choose to rear and raise them in Almorrault? And students of Alamara County Public Schools, student of Alamore County Public Schools, free advice. take it if you want
Starting point is 00:25:49 ignore it if you want if I was running a student organization as a high schooler today I would be taking all my efforts all my sweat equity and pursuing a club that is
Starting point is 00:26:07 in no way shape or form tied to Almar County Public Schools not in meeting location not in meeting within school hours. And I would utilize the creation, the sweat, sweat, equity effort of taking a club from Almaro County public schools and their purview of totalitarianism and taking it
Starting point is 00:26:34 off grounds to the world that we should be living in, one that is championing free speech and First Amendment expression. And I would take that club off school grounds, organize, strategize and galvanized students. And if I was in high school, I would document and journal that effort because it would be the basis of one of the essays that I wrote to get into college.
Starting point is 00:27:03 And the essay that I wrote, if I was a student today, to get into college, you have to write essays, would be, this is what I did to potentially pursue what I thought was right as it was tied to the First Amendment and free speech. I helped organize the young Democrat club, the young Republican club, the field hockey club, the key club, the National Honor Society, the speech and debate club, forensics, Spanish club, and Latin club, French club, lacrosse club, music, music, appreciation, music,
Starting point is 00:27:52 appreciation club. And I did it outside of Almarl County Public Schools because I understand that free speech and First Amendment expression is my right. That's what I would do. And I would journal it. I document my efforts. And the journal and documenting would be the basis for an essay that I would submit to get into college. That's called legacy. That's called legacy. That's called. separating yourself from a very competitive applicant pool. That's called entrepreneur. Entrepreneurism. Claire Turney watching the program. We need to get a photo of Claire turning that we can put on screen. She often disagrees with me, but I'm still going to read her commentary on the show, even though she's disagreeing with me because we appreciate the First Amendment and forms of First Amendment
Starting point is 00:29:13 expression on the show, unlike totalitarianism and ACPS. Claire Turney, Allison Spillen had a prior commitment. That's what she says. She may have felt unsafe just like friends who feel unsafe at the school. Claire attorney, admittedly, we don't know what the other commitment was. However, just giving her the same grace that I would have, say, Mr. Haas, done the same thing. Dr. Haas, for one thing, Claire. Allison Spillman had a prior commitment.
Starting point is 00:29:43 I want you to understand the awful optics here. The ringleader of totalitarianism policy won't look the students in the eye. Won't look at a student eye on a school board meeting that's been on the calendar for a year. These meetings are planned 12 months in advance, if not more. And she coincidentally was absent on the most popular, contentious, well-populated, heated, fueled with anger and political clickbait rage, meeting, maybe in Almore County Public School history, and she was coincidentally absent. Give me a break.
Starting point is 00:30:34 That is the definition of gutless. And I want to push back on the comment about fear because I hear so much about fear and potential hate speech, but nobody gives examples. It's all just feelings and, you know, my kids are multiple parents and other family members expressing that their children no longer felt safe at school due to increased division. so they don't feel safe because the school is divided. I mean, can you give me an example? Are there students acting out?
Starting point is 00:31:18 I found out that some of the students in the TPP USA Club were causing this. I would be against it. If they're causing strife, if they're causing students to feel unsafe, someone do something about it but don't just say oh they feel unsafe and there's potential hate speech is there hate speech or is there not hate speech is there
Starting point is 00:31:48 what are they what are they on what do they feel unsafe for like Allison Wood is watching on YouTube Allison Wood 826 I honestly want to know she says this Allison Spillman is the one that started all of this Allison Spillman should have rescheduled her other plans
Starting point is 00:32:06 Allison Spillman is the main clown in this circus. This is cowardly from Allison Spillman. The optics of what has happened, the person who has pushed the totalitarianism and the eradication, the castration of First Amendment expression, and freedom of speech expression as it pertains to student clubs, mysteriously and coincidentally, was not at the school board meeting that was on the calendar for more than a year. because of other plants. I need to say that again, because now my blood. This is a perfect example of why my wife and I are spending 25 grand for the second grade for our oldest in a private school. The ringleader of a movement to castrate and eradicate autonomy, influence, and First Amendment,
Starting point is 00:33:06 expression, and First Amendment, freedom of speech, pursuit as it applies to student clubs. She was the driving force behind this. Coincidentally did not show up to the school board meeting that was going to be heated and contentious where she was going to be in the microscope under the microscope. Do you understand
Starting point is 00:33:33 the optics of this and how it looks? Stacey Baker-Patty, she had a prior work engagement per Berlin, the chair, and she doesn't believe it either. Students, we're going to get off this topic and we're going to go to the next one. Parents that are watching this show, you should encourage your students. This is what we would be doing if our child was in high school in ACPS, but he's not going to be. But if he was, we would be encouraging him, we would be encouraging him
Starting point is 00:34:16 to start a club that had no ties to Almar County Public Schools and business owners and taxpayers and citizens that are funding or donating charitable dollars or contributions of any capacity to these clubs, you should be extremely concerned, mindful, to support any of these clubs in any capacity because now Almaro County Public Schools
Starting point is 00:34:43 has the authority, the totalitarian, Islam-backed authority to take the thought that's you for specific task and specific initiatives. ACPS can take them from you. Yeah. And dissolve your club. And dissolve your club.
Starting point is 00:35:06 And every student club now has to create a constitution or a declaration. Effing crazy. I want to give some love on this program to Jerry Rackleff of Jerry Rackleff.com. Jerry Rackleff has got a business model that's now a subscriber-based business model. And the content he's producing at jerryrackliff.com is the best UVA sports content out there, period, bar none, not even close. $8 a month get you two content pieces per day that are UVA sports related at jerry rackliff.com. I'm a personal subscriber. The content is created by a Virginia Sports Hall of Famer that's been covering UVA sports for more than 50 years.
Starting point is 00:35:54 He just did a podcast with Lucia Odom, Ryan Odom's wife, that was amazing. He created content with Craig Littlepage that talked the behind the scenes of what it was like to hire Tony Bennett and lure him from Washington State. Jerry Rackleaf.com, the $8 subscriber model is incredible. The next happens is the homeless encampment. This homeless encampment under Freebridge is another pan. Andorra's box that's been opened. We are going to either moniker the homeless encampment.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Sandersville after city manager Sam. Judah, Judah cringes. You don't want to call it Sandersville? I respect you so much. Is it not fair to call it Sandersville? I mean, you called it that before. I don't know that it's, I mean, it's...
Starting point is 00:36:48 The city manager, the man who's running the city, has a homeless encampment as the crow flies, not even a mile from his office. And they're providing used heroin needle. disposal containers, janitorial services, bathrooms, wraparound services, and other hotel-like amenities to this homeless encampment. That is, cannibalizing the urban walking trail that thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands like to enjoy every year. And without question, negatively impacting the bottom lines of a number of businesses around there. If the Rivana River Company does not sue Charlottesville, Virginia, or get very loud about what's going on here, how is the Rivana River Company?
Starting point is 00:37:39 How is this even fair to the Rivana River Company? If I was the Rivana River Company owner, I would be fuming and using social media and in-person commentary and litigation against Charlottesville. What is this doing to the values of the homes around the encampments? If you were to try to sell your home now and you're in the near proximity of that encampment, how dear God could you sell your house? It reminds me of Glenmore. Remember Glenmore where they had the house explosion off a Derby Road in Glenmore, first right?
Starting point is 00:38:20 How is anyone going to sell their house if their house was right next to the home that exploded? How is anyone going to sell a home next to a tent town that has used heroin needle dispenser containers around it? What if your dog gets out of the gate or goes running out the front door into the homeless encampment and gets pricked by a syringe that's lying on the ground? It clearly is an issue if they're providing containers to dispose of them. what if your kid gets out the house and goes there? And everyone that's watching the program, I was shocked. The folks that commented on the I Love Seville Network, the folks that commented on, I got a tenant that's texting me now,
Starting point is 00:39:22 the folks that commented on the I Love Seville Network, 65% of them were appalled by this. 35% of them, 65% were appalled by the homeless encampment. 35% of them were appalled that I was criminalizing homelessness. I'm not criminalizing or stigmatizing homelessness. I'm not doing that. I just want the Rivana Trail and the Rivana River to be safe and usable for people. I want you to understand as tent town, as white China encampment grows,
Starting point is 00:39:59 and as the temperatures reach these 80s, From a heat standpoint, the smell and the impact this will have on quality of life. For anyone in that vicinity, what is the impact on the businesses? What is the impact on the real estate values? What is the impact on hobbyists, that kayak, canoe, float, walk, fish, in that spot downstream or upstream? What is the impact of what this will do to homelessness regionally and attracting additional houseless individuals to our community.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Yeah. Can you imagine if 250 Locust Grove residents chose to go camping in Green Park for days and weeks at a time? What would activism locally sound and look like if 250 residents from North Downtown or the Greenbrier neighborhood or the Lewis Mountain neighborhood chose to camp at Market Street, Mark. What happened to just having signs? You can't camp in public places like every other city in town in America has. I sincerely mean that. Why is the city buying 2000 holiday drive for $6,200,000?
Starting point is 00:41:43 I was all for that purchase. But why purchase that office building they purchased next to the Aberdeenie? barn not going to open for three to four years and the city needs another six to ten more million dollars from us and the initial bet count was over 200 and is now down to 80 bets why are we not all asking these questions 919 druid avenue has an open house on saturday free coffee and donuts you talk about a home way away from the homeless encampment 919 druid avenues in belmont nowhere near it 699 000 asking price completely remodeled, absolutely beautiful. 919 Druid Avenue, open house tomorrow morning.
Starting point is 00:42:32 This home, I'm going to tell you right now, is going to be valued in the 800s in a handful of years. It's a $699,000 asking price. 10 a.m. Open house tomorrow. Coffee and donuts. You should check it out. It looks awesome. I'll close with this. The Virginia basketball team plays tonight. They got Miami tonight. This comes in from someone of extreme. influence and noteworthiness that is asking for anonymity. This person says, what would the city do if the KKK started an encampment at Market Street Park or under the Free Bridge campsite? What would the city do then? Why is it not the same
Starting point is 00:43:19 treatment of people? Because it's not. It's called selective outrage. It never is, yeah. It's Judah's term, perfectly description, selective outrage. Selective outrage is what's happening here. That's it for today's show. I've got some photos for the end of the show. Is this the homeless encampment? No. What is this photos of?
Starting point is 00:43:47 The new Lama Mica-I-Chicana. Judah went to the La Mijalcana new location on Stewart Street, the old Domino's, and he wants to champion and celebrate a locally owned and operated business. And I applaud Judah Wickauer for doing it. He's a man of principal, integrity, and is committed to support it locally owned and operated. Judah, you close the show with this as I spread to a 145 meeting. All right. Here we've got the front of the building.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Looks good to those of you that recognize one of the few buildings on Stewart's. It's made some changes. and it's looking pretty good. Here we've got some of the interior. We've got the front where you order your food. Nice signs, nice clean interior. And we've got some pictures of the seating area. And this great sign, Tacos is for lovers.
Starting point is 00:44:49 I also have some photos of flowers. Someone, some kind fellow, left some flowers for Richard Underwood over by the post office on the downtown mall. I don't know who left them, but to that person, I say thank you. This was a wonderful gesture, and I appreciate it. Thank you. I wish you all a wonderful weekend. We will hopefully see you on Monday. Goodbye.
