Welcome to the I Love Seville Show, guys. Jerry Miller, back from vacation.
Thank you kindly for joining us on the show.
It's great to connect with you guys through the water cooler of content and conversation.
This, the I Love Seville Show.
You go on vacation for two and a half weeks, and ladies and gentlemen, holy hell breaks out.
There's an old adage in the deal-making business.
You want your deals, your negotiations to gain momentum, you go on vacation.
I've seen it firsthand.
The same adage applies to content creation.
Two and a half weeks and good night.
It seems like we are front page left and right.
This Alamara County public school scandal has a new layer to say that Almera County public schools are in shambles right now as an absolute understatement.
sexual harassment allegations levied against the assistant superintendent.
Ay mi madre, what passa here? Almore County Public Schools. We're going to talk about the
assistant superintendent that is now facing sexual harassment allegations tied to a,
this is a wild story, a cheerleader or a dance picture from college. This assistant superintendent thought
it was a good idea. Of course it's a male, it's a man, to post in meetings on multiple occasions
over an extended period of time pictures in a conference room group meeting setting of a colleague
on screen in her college cheerleader dance outfit and then making snarky, sexual innuendo-based
comments about this colleague who's a woman with her picture on screen in a group conference
room setting. What the hell is this guy thinking? The definition of idiocy. We'll talk about this
on the program today. This man has been put on administrative leave. Dr. Patrick McLaughlin
has some explaining to do. Lucy's got some explaining to do. We'll talk about the sexual
harassment allegations on the program today.
I'm going to relay a timeline of events for Amaraw County Public Schools as it applies to a school board meeting from Thursday, this past Thursday.
This past Thursday school board meeting was like grab the popcorn, you know, watch as you're on Interstate 64 as a multiple card collision accident happened and you're just jaw open, jaw gaped, watching this school board meeting on Thursday.
They will explain what happened at the school board meeting.
The school board is just, I mean, to call for the resignation of a large majority of the school board is just an understate.
I mean, it should be the expectation by a lot of parents in Albemarle County Public Schools.
And I'm not saying all the school board, I mean, I think Dylan Beck, who's come on this program right here, probably regrets he's run for school board and is in this, this, this, this, this,
soap opera. I think what,
Bob Beard, who's the Samuel
Miller District school board member,
regrets that he ran unopposed
in the Samuel Miller District and is on the school board.
But the remaining
members of the school board, this is
a pile of, I mean,
excuse my language, shit,
that they have created themselves.
And we'll explain it on the talk show today,
ladies and gentlemen. A lot I want to cover
on the broadcast today, including
the Cherry Avenue grocery store,
now officially dead, an official statement has been released.
The Cherry Avenue grocery store is no more.
I mean, duh, you're going to bring fresh meats and fresh produce and affordable prices to Cherry Avenue
at a site that has no business being a grocery store at a location that's a hop-skip and a jump away from Reed's Market
that couldn't survive despite institutional memory systems in place and generations of experience running it.
Let's partner with the neighborhood, the fantasy said.
Let's partner with the neighborhood, the fantasy set,
and let's create a food co-op.
And let's give the Morris's and the Schiflitz and the Smiths
and the Jackson's and the neighborhood,
the patriarchal and the matriarchal members of the neighborhood,
the community leaders, a stake in managing the grocery store.
And forget the fact that these people have never run a grocery store.
in their lives.
Forget the fact that Reed's market
wasn't going to work.
Forget the market, the fact that Reed's market
closed.
Forget the fact that the grocery business is one of the most
challenging businesses out there.
The margins as slim as
a whiskers hair. We are
going to be able to reinvent
the wheel and this joint
venture with Piedmont Housing Alliance
and Woodard properties in
Charlottesville City Hall and Charlottesville
City Council and these states,
stakeholders in Fifell, and we are going to bring fresh meats, fresh proteins, and fresh seafood,
and fresh produce, and affordable food to the people of Fifell, and we're going to do it
in an honest, all-shocks kind of way.
Officially, this fantasy has become a nightmare, and we will talk about that on the program today.
There's so much to cover on the show.
Chief Brackney's in a world of hot water.
She's the police chief in Jackson, Mississippi.
and ladies and gentlemen, Roshal Brackney, the embattled former police chief here in Charlottesville,
is now answering questions from the media on how and why a rifle was able to be stolen from her department.
Not only was a rifle stolen from the Jackson, Mississippi Police Department,
but I really hate to say this.
This rifle was then used in a triple homicide.
Now, Chief Brackney, who had, remember, a lawsuit at one time here in Charlottesville where she sued Charlottesville City,
claiming she was fired because she was a black woman.
Now's in Jackson, Mississippi, where she's answering questions from the media about how this stolen rifle from her police department and a police cruiser was used in a triple homicide,
one of the saddest stories possible, ladies and gentlemen.
We'll relay that to you on the program today, and we'll also talk deal flow on the show today.
a 132 key hotel, the Holiday Inn on Fifth Street, a hop, skip, and a jump from the Wegmans.
It's called the Holiday Inn Monticello has now been sold.
We'll talk about that on the program today.
Welcome back.
Goodness gracious, it's good to be here on the I Love Seville Show.
Yours Truly, Jerry Miller, Judah Wickhauer, you will see momentarily.
I had a fantastic time at the beach with the family.
Got a suntan.
ate extremely well.
Drake, more than I probably should have, but that's what you do on vacation.
Spent a boatload of time with Du Bois.
Played a lot of squash.
Caught a black guy playing double squash here.
Was playing with UVA varsity players
and a varsity player from Dickinson.
Yeah, not Denison, but Dickinson.
Took a racket to the face.
Thank God we're wearing goggles playing the sport,
hence the black eye.
But I'll tell you what,
I've missed connecting with you the audience
on the I Love Civo show.
Had a boatload of feedback,
more DMs and text messages and email.
that I was able to respond to about, you know, being on vacation, why the show wasn't on.
We take the same time every year to recharge.
Usually go up around the 4th of July to Southampton, New York.
It's second home.
It's wonderful.
But back in the saddle now for the I Love Seville Show, a new partner, or a new old partner, we should say,
Sir Speedy of Central Virginia and Conan Owen.
Conan gives us the official green light today, wanting to jump back on.
on the I Love Seville Network as a partner of this show.
Trusted name in this signage game.
The banner behind me, the vinyl, the signage on the I Love Seville Studio.
A lot of our tenant portfolio, Conan Owen and Sir Speedy, Central Virginia are locally owned and operated.
It's a Latino-owned business.
A lot of folks don't realize this.
Conan Owen is Latino.
Yours truly also Latino.
My mother is Cubana.
My father is Americano, but my mom is Cubana.
if you need anything signage related, anything merchandise related, anything direct mail related,
anything uniform related, anything signage related at Sir Speedy, Central Virginia, and Conan Owen.
Judah is fresh from a vacation with his family.
We'll weave him in on a two-shot, first the studio camera.
I think Judah went to a thriving metropolis that we called Vermont for maple syrup.
Is that right?
You didn't go to Vermont?
No.
Where'd you go?
Maine?
Maine? Where did you go, Judah Wickhauer?
Yeah, we went to Maine.
Okay, Maine. I get that confused all the time. Welcome back.
Thank you.
Fresh for Maine. Is maple syrup at Maine?
Yeah.
Is it known for its maple syrup?
Maple syrup, blueberry maple syrup.
Well, any other kind of maple syrup you can imagine.
Lots of blueberries there, too.
Maine blueberries. They got IPAs and Maine blueberry beers.
That's pretty much it.
IPAs and Maine blueberry beers?
Yeah.
Maine Brewing Company is there.
that makes sense.
Okay.
It's a popular brewing.
I think it's an award-winning brewing company.
How was the trip?
Well, it's good.
It's fun.
And what's the best thing that happened?
I'll give you a recap of what we did.
A ton of time, surf and sand with the boys, my wife on the beach,
crabbing, shelling, looking for, you know, seashells, a ton of squash, a ton of fresh seafood,
had some of the best lobster tacos I've ever had in my life, a ton of cold beer,
a ton of cocktails, nothing better than a margarita in Hampton Bayes on Long Island,
as you're watching some of the most expensive, beautiful yachts entering the arena while you're
sipping a cocktail, watched a boatload of the World Cup, watched a boatload of Wimbledon,
played a ton of squash on Long Island, my kid went to a squash camp at Long Island,
played a ton of squash here at the Borset.
had a fantastic time.
Part of me is still wishing and hoping
and yearning for being surf and sand,
but glad to be back here hosting the I Love Sevo show.
My friend, you, what did you enjoy about the trip?
We had a lot of fun.
All of us got to see old friends.
Sisters have friends there.
My parents have friends there.
I've got friends there.
Saw an insane red sun
from the smoke north of...
Yeah, that was wild.
All of us.
I've got some crazy pictures.
Went to...
Took a ferry to Peaks Island.
Had fun walking around
and getting some delicious food there.
Got to walk around the old port.
Saw my old apartment above what used to be penguins bar.
I guess penguins aren't quack,
Are they? Are penguins quack quacks?
Not quite.
They're just a little penguin waddle.
Okay, that's how my father walks around right now.
He's so bulllegged. He walks like a pegan.
Carol Thorpe, the Queen of Jack Jewett, her photo on screen.
Welcome back, guys.
Philip Dow, his photo on screen.
The mayor of Scottsville, welcome back.
He says it's time to make money.
We're making money on vacation, Philip Dow.
We get the systems in place in the tenant portfolio.
In fact, I was doing a ton of work on vacation, frankly.
Like I said, you want to go on vacation.
If you're in the deal brokerage business,
that's when movement starts happening
with some of the projects you're working on.
Holly Foster, Henrico, gives us some props.
Logan Wells Kaleo gives us some props.
Holly Foster's exactly right.
A ton is gone.
I have two city counselors watching the program right now,
an Almorel County supervisor watching the program right now.
We've got folks at the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office
watching the program, a Nelson County supervisor
watching the program, and a delegate watching the program,
just to name a few.
How about Katrina Carlson and Cree Deeds and Amy Lawford
penning a letter to the Almore County School Board?
You could probably put the first lower third on screen, Judah.
And Lawfer and Deed, Change your socks, deeds, change your socks?
And Katrina Carlson penned a letter to the embattled Almore County School Board saying,
you must hire an independent third party to investigate the child sex scandal.
that transpired at Woodbrook in Holly Meade Elementary.
What are you doing?
Why haven't you doing this?
There's some irony here that Katrina Carlson,
a lot of respect for Katrina Carlson, she's a delegate,
she has a very bright political future.
There is some irony that Katrina Carlson co-signed this letter
with Changer Sox Deeds and Amy Laffer
because Katrina Carlson was the one-time Almore County school board chairwoman.
Yeah.
So you can in some ways, you know, hold a level of accountability or culpability for Ms.
Carlson, who was the school board chairwoman before this meteoric rise up the political totem pole as, I think now a two-time delegate here.
There are two-year terms.
I believe she's in the middle of her second term.
I did see some irony there from Katrina Coulson co-signing that letter.
But I've been holding this tune from day one.
since this scandal broke in June.
Since day one,
and this is why you watch and listen to the
I Love Civo show, we spare no expense,
we're unaffiliated,
we're unafraid,
we're unabashed.
From day one, I said,
ladies and gentlemen,
they need an independent third party
to investigate what's going on.
It will do a disservice to parents,
to students,
and to any taxpayer in Alamara County
to do an investigation
internally with Almaro County,
folks that are on the Almore County payroll.
I said that from day one.
They still, the school board has not done that.
And I think one of the reasons the Almoreal County School Board has not done that
is there's fear that school board members themselves active
or school board members former may either indirectly or directly be tied
to this horrific child sex scandal.
I have heard from, I have to respect,
and discretion here. I've had parent reach out to me, documented evidence that this particular
parent contacted the school board through their catch can email address indicating that something
was super sketchy at Holly Meade Elementary. Documented paper trail proof through the Admiral County
catch can email account, the Admiral County School Board catch can email account that something
sketchy was going on with Mike Sweeney to
Hallamide Elementary. If the
school board has known all along
that something sketchy has been going on
then active school board members,
former school board members
are without question directly
associated to this
trail of tears.
Without question associated
to the trail of tears. Maybe
that's why the school board members do
not want to have an
independent third party investigate
what's going on. It should be
a law firm investigating what's going on.
Does the school board have something to hide, ladies and gentlemen?
That's the question we should be asking ourselves.
And you talk about a meeting that was a disaster.
This past Thursday school board meeting was an absolute shit show.
Okay?
There's an individual that I'm following on Facebook.
Her name is Daisy Stevens Rojas,
Daisy Stevens Rojas
that published a recap
of what she calls
the Marathon Alboro County Public School
School Board meeting that ended at
midnight this past Thursday.
I'm going to read this recap
to you, the viewers, and listeners.
Okay? Number one,
the school board
changed the public comment
guidelines to comply with
free speech standards, allowing
speakers to name individual members
of the board, decision-making
leaders and administrators. If you remember, school board chair Berlin forbid folks in the public
comment portion of the school board meeting to name school board members directly in their
comments. Well, guess what? That's against the law. So school board chair Berlin said,
hey, the public comments now allows you by free speech standards to say our names in your three
minutes of a lot of time.
Number two, and this is Daisy Stevens
Rojas who put this recap together,
which I thought was fantastic. Number two,
at the start of the public comments,
Assistant Superintendent Patrick
McLaughlin was accused
of sexual harassment against the
chief of the family council.
According to the complaint,
he shared a picture of her in college,
a picture while she was on the
dance team, a photo that he
put up on screen during team
meetings, and then made Jeraka
statements about her during a meeting with professional peers at the central office.
I need to, these are my words now.
It's effing crazy.
If these allegations are true, what is an assistant superintendent doing going into the vault
of photos on Google, finding a photo of one of his peers online?
A photo of her at Stanford while she's on the dance team wearing a cheerleader outfit
or a danced outfit.
Then saving that photo to his computer,
downloading the photo to his computer,
then connecting the photo to some kind of Apple TV
or projection software to display the photo
in a conference room setting with other people in the conference
room.
Not only this assistant superintendent, Patrick McLaughlin,
allegedly display this photo on screen,
but then he offers play-by-played play-play
commentary that sexualizes his colleague in this meeting.
You can't make this up.
If somebody had made it up, I'd say that doesn't make any sense.
Exactly right.
That's crazy.
Who would do that?
Who would do that?
How would you even think of doing something like that?
He did it multiple times, allegedly.
Who would think to take one of your peers, especially you as a man and his assistant
superintendent, to find a full.
photo from decades ago,
download the photo to your screen,
to your computer,
projected in a conference room setting with
other people around, and then sexualize
the female, the woman that's in the photo
that happens to be your peer.
That's got to take a special type of stupid.
There you go. Set it better than I could.
A special type of stupid judo work out.
100% right. Number three, this is back to
Daisy Stevens Rojas's recap.
of what happened. Number three, several parents, including Daisy Stevens Rojas, shared experiences
dating back to 2014 of student endangerment and abuse as well as repeated attempts to get
leadership to appropriately respond to parent concerns. We're talking 12 years of paper-trailed history
of student endangerment and abuse. I'm going to tell you right now. I'm going to tell you right now.
anyone that's run for school board in the Matthew Haas era and has lost the race,
we're talking Meg Bryce, you are now breathing a sigh of relief.
Anyone else that's lost a race in the Matt Haas era, Alamo County School Board,
you are breathing a sigh of relief.
Anyone over the last decade to 15 years that's been on the Almore County School Board,
anyone right now, they're puckered,
You know what is puckered a little bit.
Because they are, good God, what did I miss?
Am I a part of this scandal?
Did I allow?
Did I miss something?
They're checking their email history.
They're like, was something sent to me?
And this is clearly to me why the school board does not one third party investigation.
Can you imagine a diligent and capable law firm that's got experience investigating anything
of any capacity, the first thing they're going to do is go to inboxes and paper trails.
And I can assure you, because I've been contacted by a mother who said she sent the email
to the school board's catch can email account that there is a paper trail.
Yeah.
Okay.
Let's go back to Daisy Stevens Rojas's outline.
Number four, the board reviewed new policy guidelines for one-on-one student meetings and student
safety.
Problem areas that were not addressed were trailers that cannot keep extensive.
your doors open during one-on-one meetings, large open areas such as sports fields, gyms,
bandrooms, choir, or auditoriums, students who stop by to visit teachers on their own accord,
transporting or exporting or exporting students to it from school activities or through the school
board or through the school building. Here's basically what's happened. They're not allowed to
meet one-on-one with kids anymore. They just did this blanket edict. Can't meet one-on-one
with kids anymore. Daisy Stevens-Rohas points this out. What?
about the time that you're transporting in the Amarral County, the pupil transport vehicle,
and it's just a driver and a kid?
Isn't that one-on-one?
She said, how about trailers?
How about when a coach meets with a kid?
Yeah.
Even worse.
Number five, an introduction of reporting policy for allegations of sexual abuse.
The new policy states the superintendent will be informed of any teacher or staff placed on leave
for founded allegations within 24 hours.
Basically what this means is the superintendent must be notified right away.
Why that wasn't in place already?
How was that not in place right away?
Here's the craziest thing at all.
The school board said that they didn't know that this happened,
that they haven't been notified all year long.
The school board is trying to hide behind this.
Matthew Haas never told us that this was going on.
We didn't do anything bad.
as your Outmoral County School Board,
because Matthew Haas never told us
that there were kids that were getting scandalized
by a social, emotional learning coach.
He never told us.
Matthew Haas created the position, school board says.
Matthew Haas picked the people in the position,
school board says.
Matthew Haas in his office, they did not vet that this individual Mike Sweetie was uncredential.
Matthew Haas and his office did not vet the fact that horrific rumors and allegations followed him from Woodbrook Elementary,
including his previous employer prior to working for ACPS.
Somehow, this guy was given a list of the most vulnerable students in the school.
somehow this guy was giving a walkie-talkie to track
where the principal and vice principal
and other people of importance were in the school.
And somehow this guy was giving keys to an office
in the most clandestine portion of the elementary school,
an office that could be locked from the inside
that had no cameras and no windows.
But the school board says,
we didn't know about any of this, Judah.
We were in the dark,
so we're not at fault.
We're not culpable.
Make that make sense, too.
And I'm going to go back to this recap.
There's a social media policy
where Almore County Public School officials
cannot friend request kids.
This social media policy is one of the dumbest things
I've ever seen.
Explain to me what's so dumb about this social media policy,
I mean, A, you can't, there's so much social media, it would be impossible to police everyone's social media interactions.
Bingo.
Second, you've got potentially parents who are also teachers.
Do they have to unfriend their children?
Bingo.
Go on.
Social media is used as a form of communication with students.
Yeah.
Is email social?
social media? Is substax
social media?
Is text messaging social
media? Is YouTube
social media? Sincere
questions.
We're heading into a world where
social media is going to be the standard
of communication.
I mean, considering the fact that
schools regularly put out
communications like you said.
On Facebook. The first place they go is Facebook.
No, that being said, that's not
you don't friend a school a school's Facebook page.
You follow it?
Yeah.
Okay.
And then the last item from Daisy Stevens Rojas' recap in this five and a half hour meeting,
ladies and gentlemen, that went from 630 to midnight with only one 10 minute break somewhere around 9 p.m.
They literally went from 6.30 p.m. to midnight with only one 10 minute break.
They instituted a new grading policy.
school board. It was approved unanimously with every single board member, despite nearly all comments
made to the board expressing grave concern over the new procedures of allowing students to receive
a grade of 40% instead of zeros for work that's not even attempted. That means if you don't take a test,
you no longer get a zero, you get a 40%. That means if you don't do a homework assignment or a quiz
and you say, eh, I'm not going to do it, don't feel like it, don't want to do it. You get
a 40% not a zero. In addition to the new 40% lowest grade possibility, teachers must provide
up to two weeks beyond a due date for work to be turned in to receive credit and multiple
repeat attempts for students to retake and raise test grades. That is effing insane. I put on a
syllabus as a pre-calculus teacher that you're going to have a test on October 1. Little Johnny
and little Susie say, I'm not taking that test on October 1. It's right after UVA plays Clemson.
It's right after my friends are staying the long weekend with us. I want to have a rager in
little Billy's basement. And we're getting some high noons. I'm not going to study for this.
They don't fail the test. They get two weeks after to retake it. And they can retake it as many times
they want. What in tarnation is happening here? We have an Almero County public school system.
I'm going to put very bluntly, straightforwardly, and succinctly that now is embodying these tenants.
Are you ready, Judah Wickhauer?
Tests are meaningless. Homework is meaningless. Quises are meaningless. The dates these are assigned
are meaningless. Retests and mulligans are limitless.
The lowest grade you could possibly get is a 40%.
Don't forget the fact that teachers are screwed.
Teachers are absolutely screwed.
Explain why.
Because you can't just have multiple floating dates for every piece of homework
and test that you assign because a teacher has limited time in the day.
You're a teacher at Amaral County Public Schools.
Guess what?
You give a test on October 1.
There's unlimited retests.
to grade every single one.
Same with every piece of homework.
You assign a piece of homework that's due on Thursday morning.
Guess what?
Your kid doesn't have to turn it on Thursday morning.
They have unlimited retakes for their homework and you have to grade every single one.
Imagine trying to grade 30 children's pieces of homework when it's coming in whenever they
decide.
Whenever they want.
And now you've got to figure, okay, where's my, you know, where are the answers to this
this homework.
Where's the,
it's a scheduling nightmare.
The natives,
the students are ruling the school now.
This is Dangerous Minds,
Michelle Pfeiffer. This is
Morgan Freeman. Lean on me.
This is Culeo,
Gangsters Paradise.
And the school board is allowing it.
and that was just Thursday's meeting.
Imagine being in a school board meeting
where someone goes up to the public comments
and says,
this guy has been sexually harassing me for years
by posting my photo on screen during meetings
and sexualizing me in my Stanford University dance attire
in front of my colleagues and peers.
Wild.
You can't make this up.
Shambles is not even
applicable. It's not even the right adjective or description. Handsome Hank Martin watching the
program. William McChesney watching the program. TV watching the program. John Blair watching the
program. Print watching the program. So much to cover on the program. What's the next headline,
Judah Wickhauer? Put it on screen. Tell them the next lower third. Carol Thorpe's got a comment.
The three-minute public comment, put her photo on screen. The three-minute public comment by Miss Broadway,
who spoke of her black special needs sons,
long-time abuse by Sweeney,
even after she expressed contents,
concerns about him to the school board
was the most effective and damning statement.
I've heard anyone, I've heard anyone about anything,
from anyone in a long time.
I hope you will show and share it with your viewer's suit.
We'll see if we can find that tomorrow.
I saw that Rob Schilling turned that into like a three-minute sizzle reel
and posted it on his page.
Kudos to Rob for drawing attention to it.
That's where I saw it first.
Ms. Broadway's son, she says, her words, my son is black, dark skin black.
This is a white woman speaking, his mom.
White mom, dark skin black elementary school kid, her words.
She says, my son has special needs.
He was, Mike Sweeney was given access to my dark skin black son and was able to meet with him in private,
in his locked office with no windows and no cameras
while walkie-talkie in hand
tracking the whereabouts of everybody else in the school.
He was giving access to the most vulnerable, vulnerable,
vulnerable kids at the school
and unchecked access at that.
I agree.
I watched that, Carol Thorpe,
and I was moved to tears, as was my wife.
Hank Martin, 23 days, his photo on screen,
handsome Hank.
23 days until the asylums open up again.
No more school board meeting scheduled to after the doors open for Almore County Public Schools.
Handsome Hank Martin's word.
He also says ACPS has not properly hired a superintendent since the hiring of Kevin Castor in 1995.
He installed and coronated Pam Moran, who installed and coronated Matthew Haas.
So this omishables, omission shambles we see now can sadly be traced back to the house that Pam Moran built and the past school boards from then to now are all carrying the stain.
And he wondered then why only an outside investigation can suffice 100%. 100% Hank Martin.
And that's why they don't want an outside investigation.
You see this viewers and listeners, right?
There is too much to hide.
Yeah.
Now, a perfect transition.
Is this where we transition to Mikey Payne and Charlottesville City Council?
Okay, I'm going to ask you the viewers and listeners a question.
Jude, are you ready for this question?
Ladies and gentlemen, who has done which elected body has been more, most malpractice
or negligent with its leadership?
The Admiral County School Board or Charlottesville City Council.
This is final jeopardy, is allegations.
Trebek still doing Final Jeopardy?
I think he's passed away.
Oh, geez.
Alex Trebek passed away.
Who's doing Final Jeopardy now?
You can tell I don't want.
Final Jeopardy.
Which one is Ryan Sechrist doing?
Is that Wheel of Fortune?
Ken Jennings is doing it.
I knew that.
He's one of the most significant Jeopardy champions.
Alex Trebek passed away?
Is Alex Trebek?
Alex Trebek dead?
He passed in 2020.
Oh, Jesus, he's been dead for six years.
He's 80 years old.
Rest in peace, Alex.
I got my coffee.
Put me on studio camera here.
Am I on studio camera?
Just about.
Am I in studio?
Yeah.
Right now?
Alex, pour some out for you.
Good Lord.
Alex, you're back.
That's iced coffee.
Oh, it's flattened on our walls.
Damn it.
Why did I do that?
Alex, damn it.
RIP, Alex.
It's on our walls.
walls. Why did I do that, Judah? RIP Alex. He had pancreatic cancer. Sorry to hear that.
Final jeopardy, Judah. Final jeopardy. Make a case. Final jeopardy, Judah. This is now Ken Jennings
talking. I'm Ken Jennings. You want to make the $24,000. You're in final jeopardy.
You're about $4,000 behind. Which elected body has done
a most significant disservice to its voters and taxpayers.
The Admiral County School Board or the Charlottesville City Council.
Do, do, do, do, do.
Oh, man.
I think I'm going to go with City Council.
City Council.
City Council.
Just because I don't think we can reasonably assess who knew what
on the school board with any accuracy.
So I'm going to say city council because
it's clear that they knew exactly what was going on.
They decided, they made decisions.
Then they went back on the decisions.
I mean, now they're saying that they're sending help
for all these people in the encampment.
I'm not sure why they didn't do that
six, seven, eight, nine, ten months ago
instead of just saying, sure,
Let them act like this land is theirs and do nothing.
And we all knew that it was on a floodplain.
We all knew that summer gets hot here.
I mean, you can't be surprised that it got hot in the summer.
That has never surprised anyone the fact that temperatures rise in July and August,
and sometimes even in June.
And now they're deciding to do something about it.
And I mean, it's just, it's like a circus script.
Like, what's going on?
You know what's wild about tent town being torn down?
That's good.
Tent town, torn down.
Tent town. Tentown, Tentown being torn down.
It took a guy on TikTok to walk through Tentown with some bear spray.
have his life threatened because he was filming in a public park
for Charlottesville City Council to actually do something.
A dude with bear spray walking through Tentown on the Rivana Trail
had his life threatened on camera.
And that led to Tent Town being torn down.
The terribly sad thing, it was not the first,
death.
Yeah.
Wasn't the second death.
It wasn't the second death.
Wasn't the first fire.
Wasn't the first alleged arson.
Wasn't the second fire.
It wasn't the second alleged arson.
It wasn't the sexual assault.
It wasn't the rape.
It wasn't the heroin needles.
It wasn't the crap
and doo-doo in the river.
The urine in the river.
It wasn't the stolen food line shopping
carts. It wasn't the fact
that a public park in urban
amenity, one of the best urban
amenities in Charlottesville that offered quality of life, hiking, walking, running,
canoeing, kayaking, floating, beach access, river access, wildlife enjoyment.
It wasn't any of that.
It was a guy on TikTok that had his life threatened while he was carrying bear spray.
That led tent town to be torn down.
for the sake of a talk show, and I think Judah makes very capable and intelligent points of city council versus Almer County school board, which elected body has been most negligent to us as taxpayers and voters?
Very capable.
Further ammunition for you, and you could put the lower third on screen.
Michael Payne, the city councilor, said, city council has failed you.
Michael Payne legitimately his exact words on the record.
city council and city government has failed Charlottesville.
Tentown is a failure of city council.
He said it's a failure.
Michael Payne, city government and city council has failed you.
Here's one of the most...
This guy just moved out of his parents' basement.
I don't know if there's any situation where anyone would be calling Tentown a success.
From its inception, I'm not sure how anyone could call any part of it a success.
success. Mike Cottius on the record, he's at the Jersey Shore on vacation right now with his
wonderful family. He said multiple times Mike Cottius, this is one of the most dangerous
scenarios you could possibly imagine Tentown. Mike Cottius, exact words. The fire chief said
it's extremely dangerous what's going on right here. The most watched and listened to and followed
Brand in Central Virginia, the I Love Seville Network from day one, has said,
this is an absolute disaster.
And still city council led by
Juan Diego Wade on his Vespa,
his stickered helmet and his
stickered Vespa as he's cruising at 26 miles an hour
around the roads of Charlottesville,
Juan Diego Wade, it's okay,
tent town's okay,
until a ticotker with bear spray
walks through Tentown and has his life threatened
that Juan Diego Wade says
we have to tear this down.
And I'm going to push back on Judah Wickhauer for the sake of a talk show.
Then I'm going to take your comments, viewers, and listeners, deep throat you're on deck.
Almore County School Board has been most negligent, even more so than Charlottesville City Council with its leadership for one key reason.
And here's the reason.
The Almore County School Board allowed minors and elementary-age children, the most vulnerable of elementary-age children at that.
to be allegedly sexually assaulted.
With Charlottesville City Council,
it's been primarily almost totally and completely adults
that have been assaulted or ravaged or abused.
With the Almore County School Board, it's minors
and the most vulnerable ones at that.
The Almore County School Board,
its leadership is so negligent,
Darwinistic failure, the strong survive, the weak will suffer, the weak will cry, the week will be forever tormented with nightmares that will haunt them for as long as they're alive on this planet.
That's why I'll say it's the Amar County School Board, the most negligent of them all.
And speaking of Tentown and your comments next, city of Charlottesville, you made a great point in our pre-production meeting.
about how are they going to police this?
Make the point you made again.
September 1, it's going to be cleared away.
I'm really regretting that I spilled half my ice coffee here on the studio.
That was not very smart.
The crazy thing is that I'm still seeing Mike Kachis being accused of being the one
who brought the camping ban forward during the city council
when it was, in fact, the city council that asked for the camping ban to be written up.
and Chief Kachis was the presenter
and may have helped in writing it out,
but he's not a lawyer,
and so we know he didn't,
this wasn't just police chief conscious
deciding unilaterally to start this out.
The George Clooney of policing.
But the fact of the matter is,
he gave the presentation for the camping ban,
which would have given the police
a legal groundwork upon which to interact with the homeless population,
and city council tabled the ordinance indefinitely.
So we have a situation here where even if city council wants to do something about the people in the encampment,
the people on the Ravana Trail,
there is no legal framework under which,
over which the police force can work.
And what you understand what you're saying here.
They can ask people to leave.
They can talk to people, but there's no camping ban.
There's no ordinance in place.
And so an ordinance would have to be created for the police to do anything other than, you know,
they can go and arrest someone if they've done something illegal.
I want you to hear what Judah is saying.
I want you to hear what Judah is saying.
Juan Diego Wade, who drives around town on a Vespah that has stickers on it,
Wadiega Wade wears buttoned down shirts that are short-sleeved.
Juan Diego Wade that has a helmet that's 25 years old, that I think also has stickers on it,
has gone on a record that said by September 1, tent town will be torn down.
but he has no lawful leverage to enforce the touring down, the tearing down of tent town.
There's no policy that bans public camping, no policy that bans the storage of public possessions.
The thinking is they will transition tent town and its inhabitants, its residents, to 2000 holiday drive.
A makeshift shelter at a 27,000 square foot brick Georgia office building that is awaiting a $14 million
remodel and renovation, 6.2 already spent.
And Deep Throat did some digging on that.
Do we have any information about them making 2000 holiday drive ready by September 1st?
They're scrambling for that.
I'm going to crystal ball something.
Okay.
I'm going to crystal ball something for you, the viewers and listen.
And our crystal ball has been proven to be very accurate.
We told you that Cherry Avenue and the grocery store wasn't going to work.
We have documented circumstances and events where we're ahead of what's happening,
news cycle-wise, and that's why you watch and listen to the show.
So sit back and hear me out.
When Tent Town is torn down by the 1st of September,
the inhabitants of tent town will flock to the downtown mall and the vestibules the inhabitants of tent town will revolt against a matriculation to 2000 holiday drive because they're being told to go there under supervision and cautious circumstances the city of charlesville has no legal leverage to keep folks from camping
anywhere as of now.
Charlottesville City Council
is opening yet another
Pandora's box of crap.
Hey, you can't camp here.
Get out. What do you mean you can't camp here,
Mayor Wade? I'm the mayor.
You can't camp here.
What do you mean? You got here
on a Vespa and you're wearing a button-down shirt
that has short sleeves. You can't camp here?
What do you mean?
I said you can't camp here.
Where does it say you can't camp here?
I say it.
So there's no rule?
No.
Screw yourself.
Vesababu.
What is the phrase?
Rasa pababu.
What do they say?
Agasapabu.
Who says it?
You're telling you.
What's the phrase?
Vesababu.
Fungul.
Fungul.
Fungul.
Fengu.
Fengu.
Vespa short sleeve.
Bund down insurance.
We're not going on a holiday drive.
We've been living here all.
for a year.
How long have they been living there?
Close to a year.
We're not going there.
This is our home.
What's the police going to do to clear the spot?
If the people haven't done anything illegal,
then there's not really much they can do.
There's no signage that says no curfew.
At least Market Street Park had a sign that said no one in the park after 11 p.m.
Yeah.
Thus have a boon.
Deep throat watching the program.
It's watching in Montana.
You cite so much evidence of the total incompetence of Almeral County public schools.
But guess what?
Almeral County taxpayers, the budget will go up another 6% next year,
and the year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that,
and the year after that, and the year after that.
Deep Throat also did some digging on 2000 Holiday Drive.
I'll relay some of that information to you tomorrow.
as it applies to inspections of the property,
appraisals of the property, 2000 Holladrave,
and other deal flow details.
Tune in to the water cooler of a content and conversation tomorrow.
Philip Ries, or excuse me, Philip Dow has this to say.
A lot of the Tentown people are not going to leave Tentown.
100% right, Maiter of Scottsville.
100% right.
James Watson, front of the program, says you've got to brush up on your Jeopardy theme sound news.
and my Jeopardy host knowledge and my Italian cuss word.
Yeah.
I got to brush off.
Fresh from vacation.
Fresh from vacation.
John Blair,
welcome back, Jerry.
I hope you and Judah had great vacations.
I watch Jeopardy each night.
Ken Jennings says no Alex Trebek.
Also,
I heard that the Harris Teeter at Barracks is expanding to the old bath in beyond space.
That is true.
Can confirm.
That is true.
Can confirm that Harris.
Teeter is expanding in the old bed bath and beyond space. That also led to the
rubber that Kroger at Barracks Road Shopping Center was shutting down. The parent company of
Harris Teeter is the parent company of Kroger. Now, there's two stories out there. One story is
Kroger's considering renewing its lease in Barracks Road Shopping Center. The other story out there
is Harris Teeters expanding into the bedbath and beyond space. And because they're expanding
into the bed bath and beyond space,
Harris T, Federal Realty that owns Barrett's Road
Shopping Center, the publicly traded company,
does not want two grocery stores of the same shopping center,
especially when a Super Harris Teeter opens.
The community will lose if Kroger closes in Barracks Road Shopping Center.
Because the Kroger up the road on, was it hydraulic?
Also closed.
There's still the Kroger that's open in the Rio Hill Shopping Center.
The price points are not comparable, Harris Teeter versus Kroger.
Right.
Kroger's affordability
significantly more affordable
than Harris-Teter.
There's also a rumor out there
that Kroger employees are unionized
where Harris-Teter's
employees are not.
So the parent company, if they're going to close one of them,
they're going to close the Kroger
where the employees have the leverage,
where the Harris-Teter, the employees do not.
And this is where Judas says,
profits over people.
Profits over people.
I didn't say that.
Profits over people.
Fuck a Kabul.
Vafankulo is the actual Italian.
If you know anything about what do you call it, Latin-based languages,
you probably have some idea what Kulo means.
This is from somebody I trust tremendously that's asked for discretion.
If the city park is not closed at night now,
the landowner the city can close the park, then trust pass applies.
So what this person is saying is zero east high street, one of the two tent town locations is owned by the city.
This is the land they purchased from Wendell Wood.
So the city can say you can't camp here, you're trespassing.
That's the one that they actively created.
That's the one the city created tent town.
They created an encampment there.
Yeah.
Well, there's the one.
Then there's the one under Freebridge.
That's right on the Admiral County line.
That's the one that's going to be the trouble.
Yeah.
And what every downtown business owner is terrified of right now is that tent town's going to come back to the downtown mall.
Because since tent town open on zero east high street and under Freebridge, the downtown mall vestibules have been, for the most part, completely clear.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Pandora's box, short sleeve, button down shirt, short sleeve, Vespa driving mayor, you're basically going to be sending the inhabitants to the downtown mall.
next headline judah wickhauer what do you got one hour into the i love seville show the water cooler of

Maybe not Infamy.
Forever Live in Famous?
What's the opposite of infamy?
In lore?
Fame.
In fame?
All right.
Next headline.
What do you got?
Let's see.
Cherry Avenue, stolen rifles.
Okay.
This is, and tell me something obvious for a thousand, Alex.
The Cherry Avenue grocery store is no more.
Guess what?
The site's too small.
Guess what?
There's not enough money.
to be made there.
Guess what?
A co-op of Fifell residents, matriarchs, and patriarchs
don't make actual business people that can run grocery stores.
Guess what?
Kroger's closing grocery stores.
Guess what?
Fresh markets closing grocery stores.
Guess what?
Reeds closed grocery stores.
If established players in the grocery business
can't run grocery stores,
why can matriarchs and patriarchs and stakeholders in Fifeville run a grocery store as a, quote, co-op?
This project was damned from the get-go.
You took a site of two failed grocery stores, an IGA and a Kim's Market,
and hoped that some city, some neighborhood residents could run it better than actually people in the grocery business.
They had a business model of fresh produce, fresh proteins, affordable prices, friendly people, clean, stocked.
They were promised a shell of a building from the developer of wooded properties.
Never promised that the actual meat and potatoes of the grocery store, put and tenant, would be provided.
Just the shell would be provided.
Everything else had to be figured out on their own.
Sunshine Mathan, Piedmont Housing Alliance gets involved.
They start digitally panhandling asking for money.
Go before city council asking for money.
It is now officially dead.
I never, ever, ever, ever want to hear the words
Cherry Avenue grocery store again.
Never do I want to hear Cherry Avenue grocery store ever again.
You can't get trucks in there to unload food.
The footprint of the grocery store is too small.
Labor's too expensive, groceries are too expensive, and still we're in war with Iran.
We're beating down inflation again, this time with a different Fed chair.
Never do I want to hear at grocery store again.
Now, I do want to give attention to a partner of this program, Charlottesville Sanitary Supply,
and Charlottesville Swimming Pool Company.
They've been in business for almost 63 years.
The Vermillions, John Vermillion, Andrew Vermillion,
good people, Andrew Vermillion, soon to be married, beautiful fiancé,
anything swimming pool related, anything Bona wood floors related, anything meal of vacuums related,
anything vacuum repair related, anything swimming pool construction or water testing related,
you contact John Vermillion and Andrew Vermillion.
Almost 63 years of business John Vermillion and Andrew Vermillion,
five generations of Almaro County and three generations of family business.
Ginny, who is watching the program?
Her photo on screen.
Ginny!
Please tell Judah, I was in Savannah last week,
and I kept thinking about what he shared about that beautiful city.
I told my family multiple times this is what Charlottesville could be
if it were not for city council and a few vocal activists.
I'm responding to our treat.
I mentioned...
I've been there in some number of years,
and it's good to know that it's still doing well.
I was just in Maine, saw a little bit of Portland.
None of my friends live in Portland anymore, so I was more often than not outside of Portland.
They do not have good things to say about Portland.
But overall, I would say that Southern Maine is beautiful and active and just a wonderful place to be.
And I wouldn't mind living there.
It's beautiful.
You wouldn't mind living there in the winter?
Judah, you're cold at 70 degrees.
I know.
I spent 10 years in Maine.
I know exactly what the winters are like.
You would hate living there.
Hey, with global temperatures rising, it might be nicer and nicer every year.
Judy, who also says this.
So the message given to children at Almore County Public Schools is that we'll let adults pray on you while you're failing to provide you mastery in any subject,
possibly graduating you without giving you the ability to read past the fourth grade level.
I mean, that's the new way.
That's the new way.
The new way is, well, let unlicensed adults pray on you.
Embody the unlicensed adults to pray on you by giving them walkie-talkies.
Windowless offices, cameraless offices that can be locked from the inside,
in a list of the most vulnerable students.
And those same vulnerable students
will never be able to fail a test,
will have unlimited test and quiz retakes,
will never have to turn in a homework assignment
for feel of failing,
and we'll have unlimited retakes
at every capacity of education.
Anybody that uses the word compassion or compassionate,
you should kick them where the sun doesn't shine.
Where does the sun don't shine?
Turn around and walk away.
Because it is not compassionate to let kids do whatever they want in school and not earn an honest grade.
It is not compassionate to allow homeless people to live wherever they want.
It is not compassionate to not force homeless people who are on drugs to get help.
None of that is compassion.
And allowing people to do whatever they want is certainly not compassion,
especially when it leads to fires, rapes, and death.
in a homeless in a...
And chasing the white China by pumping it through veins in your arms.
And kids getting, getting assaulted and worse in public schools.
Absolute insanity.
Absolute insanity.
I think it's Barlene Jones.
She's watching on YouTube.
Her handle is Marsupon Fortube.
Welcome back, boys.
And she's absolutely right about that.
Speaking of the assistant superintendent Patrick McLaughlin,
who's alleged to have sexually harassed one of his colleagues
by posting photos of said colleague while she was a Stanford dance team member
and her dance outfit on screen during a meeting with other peers and colleagues
on a screen while offering play-by-play commentary, sexualizing her.
He should have been kicked with a son doesn't shine too.
She said, who would do that?
You would be surprised.
65 years old, I've seen this type
of stuff, I never let it go,
but I grew up with guys so I know how to
challenge this behavior. And then she makes
the point, women of your wife's generation
are much less tolerant. 100%.
If that in any capacity
happened with my wife in any capacity,
my wife would have bulldozed
this human.
Without question.
It just, it's
appalling.
Yeah.
Appalling.
The fact that nobody called him
How did nobody call about on this?
During or after is baffling me.
It's baffling!
Like, was there not a single person there that had an ounce of integrity?
Almore County Public Schools right now is in the worst shape I have ever seen in my 26 years of living in Charlottesville and Almore County.
Next headline, what do you got, Judah Wickhauer?
We have now gone 70 straight minutes.
without stopping.
This is probably going to be a short one,
but the stolen rifle.
I mean, this is wild.
You want to hear a wild story?
Jackson, Mississippi.
Jackson, Mississippi.
Rishall Brackney, Dr. Roshal Brackney,
is the police chief.
This is the former embattled police chief
of the Charlottesville Police Department.
The one time,
she brought a lawsuit against Charlottesville City.
The lawsuit demanded millions of dollars,
and the lawsuit claimed she was fired
because she was a black woman.
The lawsuit basically,
Charlottesville City Hall ignored Chief Bratney.
Didn't even offer a response.
Her lawyer was an attorney from the late Johnny Cochran's law firm.
He had a press comment.
outside City Hall by the free speech wall, had a microphone and a podium, and Chief
Brackney was next to him, and they summoned all the media.
Is that the guy that walks around Charlottesville, downtown, and, like, how would you characterize
what he's wearing?
He's always wearing shorts.
His legs that can be seen are racked with...
I think eczema or rash.
I don't know.
Source.
He's wearing, like, a muck's...
cloak. No, it's more like...
Lord of the Rings attire. No, it's more like
a Dracula cloak.
A Dracula,
a lightweight
Dracula cape
with the collar
not necessarily turned up.
We just had an overweight...
I saw him a few weeks ago
kitty corner from us
like laying on the sidewalk
with like half of his legs out in the road.
Like he was just asleep there.
I honestly don't know
what's up with the guy.
We just had an overweight Dracula wannabe
in a Lord of the Rings
Dracula get up
that was showing his bare legs
that were cloaked in sores,
eczema, rashes,
and welts and boils
walk by the I Love Seville show
while chanting into the afternoon air.
I was just making crap up.
I got distracted.
This is absolutely true though.
Chief Brackney is the police.
chief in Jackson, Mississippi, a rifle, a police rifle was stolen and it was used in a triple
homicide. The rifle killed two women. The horrifying part. The rifle was used to kill two women.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people. The rifle was used to kill a 25-year-old and a 30-year-old,
along with the 30-year-old's two-year-old son.
Yeah, that's horrible.
Execution-style killings.
A stolen rifle from a marked police cruiser
was using the killings.
Yeah.
Chief Brackney, the former police chief of Charlottesville Police Department.
Now the police chief in Jackson, Mississippi,
with the Jackson Police Department.
A marked vehicle had a rifle stolen from it,
and four suspects are charged in connection with what authorities say
were targeted execution-style killings of a pair of sisters,
25-year-old Kayana Weathersby and 30-year-old Erica Weathersby,
along with Kayana's two-year-old.
two-year-old son, Kamari.
Jesus.
Terrible. I don't think this can necessarily be laid at Brackney's feet.
She's the police chief.
Yeah.
And if you want to argue that there was some breakdown of...
Okay, we can say that she's having to address an answer to it.
Yeah.
Okay.
A rifle stolen from a police cruiser.
Next headline, Judah Wickhauer.
I think that's pretty much it, except for the...
We've got the Holiday Inn.
132.
Oh, my goodness.
I want to give some attention to Stanley Martin Holmes.
Stanley Martin Holmes, did you know that they've built more than 600 homes over the last 24 months in change in the Charlottesville, Almore, and Central Virginia area?
Did you know Stanley Martin Holmes is bringing a significant project called Breezy Hill to Market outside Glenmore and Keswick?
And that Stanley Martin Holmes is building 40-plus single-fing.
family detached houses and the Fry Springs neighborhood, there is no more prolific builder
in Charlottesville, Almore County, and Central Virginia than Stanley Martin Holmes.
And they do business the honest way, the communicative way, the trustworthy way.
Stanley Martin Holmes utilizing technology, innovation, integrity, communication to bring
the American dream to life in Charlottesville, Almore, and Central Virginia.
A little deal flow for you.
I'll cover this even more as the week progresses.
The Holiday Inn on Fifth Street has been sold.
Riva Hospitality has acquired the Holiday Inn Monticello from Morris Creek Yacht Club
and a deal facilitated by Mumford Company.
This is a significant sale, 132 rooms, the Holiday Inn Monticello.
An insider has passed this on to me.
I'll give you more deal flow as the week continues.
That's called a tease in the business.
The insider who's asked for anonymity said,
Jerry, traditionally, home hotels like this sell for $250,000 a key.
$250,000 a room.
How many rooms in there, Judah?
And, oh, 132 keys.
$132 keys times $250,000.
traditionally they sell for would be about a $33 million sale.
This insider who's asked for anonymity said, Jerry, this traded for about $81,000 a key.
How many keys, Judah?
$132.
$81,000 times $132 keys is $10,000, call it $700,000.
So please write this down.
Traditionally, they sell for $250,000.
a key. We have 132 keys there, Judah, right?
Traditionally, history,
comps would suggest this is a $33 million sale.
Instead, we're told it's $81,000 a key
or a $10.7 million sale.
This insider who's passed this intelligence onto me
because he knows I will respect his anonymity
and because we are watched and followed
and listened to by every,
Everyone who's anyone in this community says, Jerry, why is there a delta between $33 million and $10.7 million for the transaction or the sale of the Holiday Inn, Monticello, on Fistri?
I'll answer that question as the week progresses on the I Love Seville Show.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are back and we are back with a vengeance for Judah Wickcower. My name is Jerry Miller.
