Welcome to the White Mountain Ministry Show.
I am your host, Nate Kibler.
Hey, this ain't church, y'all, but it is all about the kingdom of God.
I thank you for watching and listening and praying and being a part of what the Lord is going to do through this show today.
We are excited. We're already having fun on the set today with Darby Slayton.
He is our guest joining us live from the state of Maryland today.
So pretty close to us and we are always connected in the spirit.
So we are having fun. We're laughing. It's going to be a really fun show, guys, so we're looking forward to it.
Before I introduce Darby, I am going to share a quick testimony. Judah, thank you for all you do.
Jerry, thank you for all you do. The man himself, Jerry Miller, is in the studio today, so Darby, it must be a special day.
So, Judah, can you get that picture up of So Darby, it must be a special day. So Judah,
can you get that picture up of Virginia Beach? Is it on? All right, awesome. So if you guys see
that picture, this is my friend DeAndre. We were at the Boardwalk Virginia Beach this past week,
and we actually went there for a couple days back in August, and we prayed. my wife and I prayed for this woman, DeAndre. She had a bad car wreck, just a crazy
life story and all kinds of problems in her body. And, you know, she, what I loved about her, she
wasn't mad at God, but she did think that God was allowing things or, or using things. And of course,
God will take all things and turn them and use them for good. But so many times we don't really know the heart of God. And so this woman, I know that she loves the
Lord, but she didn't necessarily know him. And so we prayed for her for healing in her knee.
She was due for a knee transplant. And so we saw her this week when we came back a month later,
and she was so excited. She ran to us. I don't know if you guys can see the picture of her knees, but there was no longer a knee brace. She wore this
big, heavy knee brace. The Lord had healed her. She said almost all the pain in her knee was gone.
Even her lawyer, I guess, because of this accident was like, what's going on? Because I'm sure there
was some suing going on. I'm not exactly sure of those details, but she just said, God healed me. And so it's amazing. She's sharing the testimony and she gave me the
okay to share this on the show today. And guys, what I wanted to say is on my heart about that.
Of course, he loves DeAndre. He doesn't want her sick. He does not want her in pain. And
sometimes life of ministry and representing Jesus,
we're ministers and we want to see people healed and we want to tell them all we know. And,
you know, sometimes even puff ourselves up, but sometimes guys, all we need to really do to be
an effective minister is to listen, to listen. You saw Jesus. I mean, Jesus was always listening
to the Holy spirit, but a lot of times guys, I think you go back, uh, there's a book called how
to win friends and influence people. And they say the number one way to win friends and influence people
is to listen. This woman just needed to share her life, just needed to share her heart,
for somebody to see her, to know that she's heard. And God showed her in that moment that he sees her,
that he loves her, he does not want her sick, and he healed her. And now we're sharing the testimony. So praise God for that. So go ahead, Judah. Thank you for putting that
picture up. We're going to put Darby in the screen and introduce this amazing man.
Let me know when Darby is up. Darby, what's up, dude? You're live. Everybody can see your
beautiful face. That's good. I got my shiny head going. I shaved today. I can completely relate, my man.
Trust me. So we're going to introduce Darby. Darby, again, is from Maryland. And I always
like to lead a show off about how you are our kingdom connection and how we met. And so many
of these people, of course, they're divine encounters. They're divine relationships,
divine connections. And we, of course, met at the heart of the home through the amazing Barbara
Shaw. And we had never met before, but it was one of those moments where, look, I could probably
write a book at this point on all the prophetic words that I've been given, but I can count about
four or five on my hand where I knew it was the voice of God. And I mean, it was the Lord just
speaking through that person
straight to my heart. And that moment that we met was one of the, I can count on my hand,
the most up to this point, you know, the five prophetic words that I would say have really
impacted my life. And it was just, it was beautiful. And it's really cool because we
have you on the show today. It's probably been almost a year since that, or maybe a little more
than a year since then. We've established, you know, somewhat of a relationship, but you know, something really
interesting that you said that day, I don't even know if you remember it, but you told me, you
said, Nate, you said your message is going to be seen and heard all over the world. And I had no
concept of a show, I guess, in my mind, I just thought that meant physically, I would be going
to all these places and the Lord is starting to open up the nations. But I just want to say that word is
coming to pass and it was a powerful word. So thank you. Absolutely. I just want you to know
my speaker, for some reason, my headphone went out for a second here, but give me your back.
Yes.
You okay? Yeah. Yeah, we're good. But Darby, you're a man that you are fun. You're, you're,
you're good to be around. I like you. Like I love everybody, but I really like you. And even my son and my wife today, like Darby, they're like, I was like, yeah, they're like, oh, it's going to
be such a good show. He's so much fun. My wife loves you. My son loves you. You have the heart of God and just a childlike faith. So I just want to encourage you and just
let our guests know what they're about to receive. Thank you so much. Thank you for having me. And
it's an honor to be here. And the way I look at it is that fun is serious business of the kingdom of God. And so I think that sometimes we can take ourselves too seriously and we forget to be childlike.
And I think, honestly, the more childlike, and there's a difference between childlike and childish.
Childlikeness is actually what helps us enter into the kingdom of God.
And I just feel like, yeah, we get to play in the sandbox together
today. Awesome. Love that. Well, look, tell us a little bit about Darby. That's a big,
broad question, but tell us about Darby. Yes. We'll see. What would I say? Well,
you know, it's interesting. People ask me, well, what do you do for a living? And that's
a question that's very common. And I, it's hard to say because, uh, I don't, I don't really wear
labels very easily. I think, uh, you know, this is the heart of a creative. I'm an artist. Uh,
I am, I'm a storyteller. I love writing. I love prophesying. I love encouraging people.
I love to laugh. Um, and, uh,
So you're like a Jack of all kingdom trades.
Yeah. You know, and it's like, I have a couple of things that I like to mix together and I feel
like it works well for me. You know, I love, uh, you know, I do some business coaching and I work
with, uh, uh, people that have their own businesses and I love that. And I love, I love encouraging
people how to recognize the voice of God in their life.
I think that's probably one of the things that I that that people know me for is that I help other people recognize the voice of God.
And I actually want to make a distinction there, recognizing the voice of God versus learning how to hear the voice of God.
And I think there is a difference between the two and that distinction.
One, one is coming from a place of I'm, I'm going to hear the voice of God versus I am hearing the voice of God, but now I'm learning how to recognize it. So I would think that's probably
encapsulates me to some degree. That's good. So God, God's talking to all of us, right? It's
just a matter of we can understand his voice, discern his voice.
A hundred percent.
By the way, I think it's good that we're talking about this because we're going to talk about the voice of God.
But just remind me, I felt the Lord remind me, I love that painting.
I'm assuming that painting behind you, you did draw, right?
You paint it.
Yeah, so it's about 85 to 90% done.
It's a mural painting.
It's in my office.
And so it's inspired by the Lion of Judah.
And you kind of have like almost like an Aslan looking lion in the background.
And around right now, it's kind of hard to see, but around there, there's flowers, and there's going to be bees, and it's all representing, like, what I think of is Genesis chapter 1, when God created creation, and how
he spoke things in existence, and, you know, everywhere where there's God, there's life,
and there's an abundant life, and so that's the idea behind the painting.
Well, I was reminded this a couple weeks back when you were at the Heart of the Home. Well, I was reminded this a couple of weeks back when you were at the heart
of the home, I purchased one of those beautiful Lion of Judah paintings and Judah, our producer
who helped you get set up today. That's who that Lion of Judah painting went to. Oh, I don't think
he knew that was you. Did you Judah? Yeah. So he's smiling. So that's, that's awesome. Just so cool.
I love it. I love it. Yeah, there's something
really beautiful. And I really believe that everyone's a creative. We're all created in
the image of God. And I really think what it comes down to is quite often we forget really
who we are. We become adults and we forget, well, we're meant to be creative. We're meant to be
children of God. And so that's
one of the aspects. The enemy really tries to take away our imagination.
A hundred percent. Yeah, exactly. And honestly, imagination is probably one of the most powerful
things that God's given us. And it's very much a part of the image of God that I imagine. Anyway,
I don't want to get started on that, but it's a rabbit trail, but I love that, that you brought that up. Imagination, worry, I've heard this saying once, I don't know where
it came from, but worry is misuse of imagination. I love that. Worry is misuse of the imagination.
You know, get into it for a minute. I know I didn't interrupt you for a reason because I feel
like you are supposed to get into it.
Yeah, you know, I will say this. I think just like in the beginning when God created the earth, he had an idea.
You have Father, Son, and you have the Holy Spirit sitting around saying, you know what?
We have so much love for each other.
We need to expand the family.
And that's when God, the idea of the children of god came around i
don't know when that happened or if it was always the plan it's my mind gets messed up when i think
about eternity in that way but the reality is is that they had so much love that they wanted to
expand the family and so we are god's idea just like how we have an ability to imagine an idea and create that from imagination, God imagined a bigger family.
And not only did he have this imagination, he also saw it in the spirit.
Some people could say, oh, I don't know the difference between imagination and seeing the spirit.
They're one and the same.
And there's ways of distinguishing that between that and seeing the spirit they're one the same okay and and there's
ways of distinguishing that between that and fantasy the reality is is that god imagined us
and he spoke us into existence he spoke the earth into existence in the middle of chaos and really
this is the this is the beginning of what god's designed this for is to be able to speak life into chaotic situations.
So right now we have a great opportunity in 2024. Absolutely. Yeah, no, that's good. Hey,
I'm going to, before we, we're going to stick on this because I have some notes. We didn't really
plan too much for this, which is okay because this is spirit led, but this is where the Lord
is leading us. But I also do just, hey, thank everybody for listening. Look, guys, share the show. That's how the show is being watched
all over the world. So please share the show. You can go to Darby's page. You can watch from
my personal page. You can watch from the I Love Seville page. You can watch from Jerry Miller's
page. You can go to YouTube. There's all kinds of ways that you can watch the show. And I do
want to thank our sponsor that you can see at the bottom of the screen, which is Opening Doors Real Estate
and Melanie Morris. We love them buying and selling houses. Give them a call. Thank you.
So look, two things. I actually did have a couple notes here, but we were talking about
how I hear the voice of God, and we're also talking about the children. And one of the
things that I put note of that I wanted to ask you a question, which you did not know this, is about hearing the voice of God, but specifically as a child and even for parents of children who
are learning to hear the voice of God or already are hearing the voice of God or maybe are already
seen in the Spirit and maybe how to steward or help teach that. Okay, so you're asking me basically, if I understand correctly, how does a parent
encourage their children to hone in and to listen in and to lean into the voice of God in their
life? Is that correct? Yes. Yes, exactly. Whether they're seeing, whether they're hearing, whether
it's both. Well, I mean, here's the thing.
I believe that every child can hear the voice of God,
and it's a lot harder for adults to hear the voice of God because we have learned how to operate more out of our heads as adults
versus as a child, okay?
Now, this is something really interesting.
You may not hear a lot of people talking about this, uh, but the, there are certain brain waves that we have, um, that God's designed
us a certain way there. Uh, when we're sleeping, there's one kind of wave when we're waking up,
there's another kind of wave. Um, and, uh, and a lot of the children are up until the age of 12 have a brain wave, an alpha wave that's very dominant in their life until they get to the age of puberty.
And the alpha waves is exactly where the place of rest and imagination and creativity come from. This is why sometimes as adults, you go on vacation and all of a sudden you get this idea
or something gets solved in your life. It's in that moment, in that present moment that we get
that insight and revelation. And I believe that's God. I believe that intuition, what people in the
world call intuition, is actually God speaking to us, ideas that come to us. Yes. I think a lot of us have felt.
Our conscience even, right?
Right.
And so I think with children it's easier because you can talk to them about how God wants to be in their life and that God is very present.
And you are learning how to see him in those everyday moments when you're playing or when you're when you're painting or
when you're creating and honestly uh the far as it goes with the children it's a lot easier to
work with the kids because they don't have all the hang-ups now i will say a lot of it comes down to
them understanding identity and and having a safe place for them to practice and make mistakes and
this is actually what happens with my students.
I have a prophetic school. I've had to distill or instill in my students a culture of imperfection
and not being afraid of getting it wrong. And I think that's where a lot of people,
well, I don't want to give a false prophetic word. And the reality is that's not what a false
prophetic word is. In the Old Testament, they had about six to give a false prophetic word. And the reality is that's not what a false prophetic word is.
In the Old Testament, they had about six or seven school of the prophets.
And if you have a school, you have mistakes.
So I think that same kind of mindset is what we need to have when it comes to working with children and developing that gift in that.
Now, I just want to say, because the first time you met my son, the first thing that you said to him, you said, Kai, do you like to draw? Well, that wasn't like
this big fancy word, but it was profound because the Lord had already been speaking to my son and
he had been getting these visions and things that he was seeing and he was, he would draw them out
and then they were, they would come to pass like fairly quickly after he would draw the picture.
And, you know,
even with him, you know, learning how to speak into people's lives, it's usually very simple.
But like with Barbara Shaw, he had a picture that he gave Barbara a couple of weeks ago,
and it said three words. And the three words were, go to Australia. That's what the Lord
showed him for her. But it was very simple but very profound for her life.
Sometimes we try to complicate things more than they need to be.
Yeah, and I think sometimes we, I think,
and I was actually writing about this today.
I'm doing a prophetic training this weekend in Frederick, Maryland.
It's actually where I'm from.
And one of the things that I think that the charismatic Pentecostal circles have,
especially charismatic circles, has done a disservice to the prophetic is we sometimes
make all the prophetic about these big visions and an angel from God comes down and we go and
visit heaven and all those things are great and all those things are amazing. I've experienced a lot of those things, but really where the maturity of the prophetic happens in
the simple things of life, it happens in those, in the incarnational life, in those moments of you
washing the dishes and the moments of you, uh, uh, preparing dinner. Those are the moments,
uh, that God is whispering to us. And I think back to that
story about Elijah looking for the voice of God. It didn't happen in the thunder. It didn't happen
in the lightning. It didn't happen in the storm. It actually happened in the whisper and a little
bit of a wind of the voice of God. And I think that's really where the maturity comes from,
is that we don't always need to have these big
things happening we just realize that god's always speaking to us and we're just willing to lean in
and be still and know that he's god i think that that's really good and really good for people
here because even myself i'll just be honest about this and i'm sure you you're probably
you know different but a lot of times if I'm sitting there trying to hear God,
sometimes it appears to be very silent. But if I'm in the shower, if I'm walking my dog,
if I'm in the car, if I'm walking on the beach, like I just start getting these downloads.
And so for, you know, he's speaking to us all, but he's also speaking to us all
in unique different ways. We don't want to make it a method, right? The way he speaks to Darby may not necessarily be the way that he speaks to Judah. Is that accurate?
Absolutely. I mean, you think about this way, you know, I don't have any children of my own,
but I know I've worked with children throughout the years and you could have three or four
children in your family and each one of them, you have to speak and communicate with them differently. And so it's, there's, it's, it's the same, it's the same thing in the spirit.
I mean, God is speaking to us differently. And, uh, you know, sometimes we can hear things.
Sometimes we can see things. Sometimes we could feel things. Sometimes we could just know things,
right? Know that. And, uh, I say, say as soon as we as soon as you're striving to
hear the voice of god you're you're trying to do it through human effort and that's where we need
to learn how to slow how to shift from here to here and really in this place of meditation
romans chapter 12 verse 2 says do not be conformed to the will be transformed by the renewing of your mind right and so i asked the lord i'm like why why is the transformation like why why isn't this is the
question i had for god i'm like well it tells you you need to have a transformed mind but why doesn't
it teach you this and the lord's like you're missing it i said i'm missing it and so i kept
on searching after these things. And the reality is that
mind renewal comes from meditation. It comes from pondering, from thinking about, from imagining
God's word in our life. And that's when the word becomes flesh. It happens here,
and then it manifests outwardly. And we've made it way too complicated. A lot of the Greek
philosophy has infiltrated the theological giants of the world, and we almost have a dualistic view
of this is God, and this is the earth, and this is man, and that this is not good and this is good. No, God came in flesh. He came as an incarnate.
He put on flesh, 100% man, and he's 100% God. And that is the reconciliation that God brought to us.
And it's just amazing. He's restored everything to himself. That means the trees. That means
nature. That means everything, people and animals. He's restored everything. Now, I don't understand
all what that means.
All I can say is
God's plan for us
is so much bigger and so much
greater, and His grace is so much bigger
than we could ever imagine. Amen.
Two things that I'm hearing to
kind of give a summary
is that get out of our
carnal minds and be like a child.
And when I said, don't do that, or I said, I don't know what I said, but I interrupted you
because Romans 12.2, like my birthday, you don't know this, but my birthday is December 2nd,
which is 12.2. Romans 12.2 is on the cover of my journal. That's like the scripture. I mean,
of course, there's lots of scriptures we live by, but I live by that scripture. And, you know, a lot of this, it all, I believe, stems back
to relationship. And I just got out of a meeting, like a prayer meeting a little bit ago, and a man
who I love and respect, you know, he was talking about how when he carries his Bible, you know,
his sword, he calls it his sword, the sword of the spirit everywhere he goes, and about how,
you know, how many God encounters he has just through carrying that Bible.
Now, if you want to carry your Bible everywhere you go, that's beautiful.
If that is how the Lord is going to start encounters for you, that's great.
But it doesn't have to look that way for everyone is my point.
Figure out what your relationship is with God, how he speaks to you, how he wants to work through you.
I have my Bible with me a lot, but I wear, I have my cross here, or I have often have shirts that talk about Jesus,
talk about the Holy Spirit. Those are conversation starters for me. So just because it works for
someone else doesn't mean we have to do it that way. It doesn't make it right or wrong. It just
means it works. That's how God works through them. We should never try to make the Holy Spirit a
method. We can train and teach about all these things, but what I would encourage people to do is have an intimate
relationship. Seek God and see how he wants to speak through you. Yeah, it's so good. I think
that's where the creativity comes in. We think sometimes, you know, that we, I think a lot of
it has to do with a wrong understanding of the sovereignty of God.
I think sometimes we think, well, God is sovereign.
He's in control of everything.
And that's just the way it is. And just get over it.
And you better do his will.
And that's it.
You do his will.
If God called you to Africa and you don't want to go and you don't go, God's enough for you to go.
And I don't think that's the way God works.
I don't think that's God's personality at all.
I think that that truly what I believe is that God says, I'll give you the desires of your heart.
I believe that God put desires in your heart. He put he gave you prophetic words and he gave you scripture.
And that those are the GPS system that God put inside of your heart to let you know that destiny
is already written in you. You're going to have a desire for God. You are by your nature a new
creation desire God. So just because part of you doesn't desire God doesn't mean it's true.
We've listened to that voice of a false identity for so long. We
think that our emotions and thoughts are true and they're real and we can't combat them. And we try
to fight the devil. And the reality is, is that we just need to learn how to tune into his voice
and, and, and to tune out of all the chaos. Yeah. So good. Yeah. Um, yeah, I'm, I'm sitting here thinking I'm about to get lost in
my thought with this, but, um, did, did somebody, you remember me here, uh, telling you about the,
the Lord calling me to Africa and then kind of backing out of the trip and how he's not going
to spank me. I don't know if you remember me, if I told you about that or not, but anyways, it's all good.
So that's awesome. No, I love it. So we're going to transition into this because it's something
that you just spoke on, but we were, you mentioned about God being in control. And I think that you
and I both have a pretty good grip on this. And, and for me, I always like to find out,
because we, so many people in the body of Christ that we like to say us, well, God's in control, brother, God's in control.
When somebody's saying that, do they know what they're saying?
What are they actually meaning?
Are they saying and believing that we're actually puppets on strings
and that everything that happens is the administrative will of God?
Or are we just saying that he's sovereign, that he's in charge, that he's the supreme authority?
Because those are two completely different things.
So talk a little bit about how God is in control.
Yeah, I think the challenge is understanding the difference between human responsibility and free will and God's character and nature. Let me say this. When it comes to any kind of doctrine,
the most important thing that we need to always go back to
is a Christocentric lens
that we look at the word of God or scriptures through.
And the two biggest foundational things
that need to be developed,
I can say this, all of your problems in life,
your problem with addictions, your problem with worry, your problem with finances,
any problems that you're dealing with in life can be solved by two things. And I can actually narrow it down to one thing, but I'll explain here in a second. So we're trying a lot of times looking outwardly for our solution.
But the solution is, and one, understanding the character and nature of God.
And as you understand God's character and nature and a bigger view of who you are.
Now, some people will be like, well, bigger view, I must decrease.
No, Jesus didn't die for a prostitute.
He died for a bride.
And God would never consider himself to be unequally yoked. He would never consider himself to be unequally yoked.
He would never tell someone to be unequally yoked.
And Jesus, because of the work he did, redeemed the bride so that we could be equally yoked to God.
Now, does that make us God?
No.
That makes us the bride of Christ.
And I think that's really important for us to get that distinction. So understanding, looking at God in relationship
rather than just rules changes everything. You know, you think about like what a wife would do
or a husband would do. And anytime that you can think of man or imagine man or experiencing man
doing something good for someone, we are just a pale comparison to how good God is. And the goodness
of God is what drives all theology in our life. It's the joy of the Lord. It's the goodness of
God. And I think what comes down to is our understanding is that God is in control. Now,
there are theologians that would say, I remember in Bible college, I remember having this conversation.
I actually dropped out of Bible college.
I was going to say, I'm sure you probably learned a lot of things that weren't coming from the Holy Spirit.
Yeah, I mean, I was raised independent fundamental Baptist, so we didn't believe in the gifts of the Spirit.
We didn't believe in using the NIV, the not inspired version.
I believe it was Francis Chan who actually said that for the longest time,
he did not believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit because of the seminary
school he went to.
Right, exactly.
Yeah.
Well, sometimes people will call it a cemetery.
And I'm not picking on that, you know.
You got Judah laughing.
We got the Judah laugh of the show.
He doesn't laugh a lot, so good job, Darby.
But keep going.
That's cool.
Yeah, no, I think the biggest thing is that there's a lot of unlearning that has to happen.
When I went to Bible college, I remember this professor saying, we were talking about how some people were chosen, and some people were chosen for glory and some were chosen
for health. Some were vessels of wrath and vessels of honor. And I remember saying to them,
and he talked, he talked about predestination. And I said, well, what about babies that die?
Like babies? I mean, babies don't have a choice to make a decision. They said, well,
babies go to hell. I was like, you, you mean to tell me that the God of
the universe of love is actually going to send babies to hell because they didn't have the
knowledge of Jesus? Like, are you kidding me? I mean, anyone that has their head screwed on right,
that has any kind of love in them would not ascribe God as a monster. I think this is why a lot of atheists
become atheists, is because the theology, the predominant theology in the church says that
God's in control. That means all the babies that die, abortions that happen, gays, whatever we
like to say is, whatever is bad in the earth, earth we also that some of those theological circles would
say well that's god's will that's just the way it is god's designed it that way well god does not
get the blame the little god of this world he gets the blame for that not the big god who is good
yeah i agree with you and i believe that people by large are leaving the church it's not because
of god it's because of us and we've misrepresented, we have misrepresented him instead of saying God is in control or God allows sickness
or God causes that. Maybe we need to let them know that God is love and stem back to John 17 and
eternal life is to know him. And when you get to know him, you know, his heart, you know, he's not
taking out your loved ones. You know, he's not causing sickness. You know, he doesn't want your,
your son being molested. That is not his heart. But again, there are things, there's evil in this world, right? If you,
if you really believe that you were a young, when you were a young child, if someone got molested
and God was allowing that to happen as in he was sitting in the room and was okay with that,
how could you ever have intimacy with him? That is a lie from the pits of hell. Yes, exactly. There's a complacency that happens because God will do
whatever he wants to do. And there's a fatalism to this. Well, if God's going to do whatever he's
going to do, just let him do it. And so that's really getting to hyper-Calvinism. And honestly,
it's a nightmare. What happens is I asked the Lord, why aren't Christians prospering in life?
And the Lord said to me, because of the traditions of men, make the word of God known void.
And that's a big, big deal because a lot of the church is not prospering and it has to do with their view of God.
And it has to do with the traditions of men.
You know, so the traditions of men is God's in control of everything. He has to do with the traditions of men. The traditions of men is
God's in control of everything.
He micromanages every detail.
It's a mess.
What we have to do
is really get to know him and understand
that God is all powerful.
You know what? I think a lot of it is
Darby, sorry to interrupt you, but we do not want to take responsibility and accountability
for our own actions. You look when, as soon as Adam made from the tree, they started blaming,
right? And it's what we do today. Yes. Yeah. I'm actually looking at one of the comments here.
God is just exactly. He's just, he would not do something that's unjust. He would not bring injustice. Right, Christopher? A hundred percent.
So, yeah, I think what it comes down to here is that a lot of the church, we're coming to really have a different, I think this is starting to shift a lot with understanding the kingdom and understanding what the grace message is and the finished work of the cross.
Um,
you know,
uh,
you know,
he,
he,
he gives us choices.
A lot of your life is dependent on choices.
And Deuteronomy 30,
19,
it says,
I have set before you life and death,
blessings and curses.
Now choose life so that you and your children may live.
And there's lots of scriptures.
He gave earth to mankind and heavens is his. And there is an aspect. And to be honest with you,
I walked away from the church because I thought that God was a big jerk because I experienced all
these things in my life. And I read the Bible and I'm like, well, I'm not living these things. I'm
not experiencing what it means to reign in life through Christ.
I don't I don't get it.
And it's because I was approaching the word of God intellectually.
And just because I didn't get it, I didn't I didn't think it worked.
I thought the Bible was just, you know, I just started not believing in God anymore.
And I got angry with God.
I got angry with the church.
And what got my attention is when I walked away, it was the goodness and the kindness of God.
And I started experiencing God in a way that really bumped up against the traditions of men and how God really was.
And I realized, wow, God, I'll finish here.
About three or four years, I got through a time, and people use this word now differently than when I used back then.
I went through deconstruction.
Now, I don't mean deconstruction of getting rid of Jesus.
My deconstruction was getting rid of religion.
Actually, God was removing that from me.
And after about three or four years of experiencing miracle signs and wonders, and there's many times I should have died.
I was suicidal.
I dealt with, you know, I was drinking myself, you know, to stupor.
I was making bad decisions.
And God, he came and met me where I was at.
On April 6, 2003, I had a conversation with God after losing my business, after losing my car.
I'm 26 years old, living in my parents' basement.
And I had a conversation with God.
And I said,
God, you've been more good to me than bad, but all the bad things I think that happened in my life,
you got the blame for it, and I realized that you didn't do it. I also realized that the devil got
the blame for some of these things, and he doesn't deserve the credit for that. I take responsibility
of what I've done. I take responsibility for what I've done.
And wherever there's a mystery, wherever I don't understand why did these things happen, I don't need to have those answers anymore because I know that you're good.
It's when you become fully persuaded of God's goodness is really where the peace and the rest come from.
Otherwise, if you're looking at life through a religious lens,
when something bad happens, you think God's punishing you.
When something good happens, you think God's blessing you,
and it's the wrong view.
That is the traditions of men, and that is a false gospel.
I think we need to start shooting it a little more straight.
It's the goodness of God that leads man to repentance. Hey, I love you guys.
I thank you for watching. I see Costa Rica is on the call. Greetings from Pakistan. A lot of people
I love. I know we're on the call. Y'all are blessing us. Thank you for watching from and
listening from all over the world. I'm going to say one more thing about this because this happened
at church on Sunday and I mentioned it to you on the call yesterday, but I think it's good for people to hear this, because what comes out of our mouths, it matters.
And, you know, we interpret Scripture, we see something in Scripture, or maybe it's not even in Scripture,
but we end up making a theology about it.
And so we were at the Heart of the Home on Sunday, and there was a song.
I think you probably know this song.
I actually didn't know this song, And there's probably a reason for that. But the song was playing. And
in the chorus, it was like, the Lord gives and the Lord takes away. And Barbara Shaw got up there and
grabbed the microphone. She said, guys, she said, that is just not true. And we will not say that
in this church. She said, he is the giver of life. He gives and gives and gives and gives.
And you know, I got up a few minutes after the worship and I shared this because
that actually is in the Bible. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away actually is in the scripture,
but we have to look at the context. It's in the Bible, but is it true? Because it's actually in the end of Job 1, and basically a lot of us in the church,
we still think that even God was the one that wrecked Job.
I mean, it wasn't. It was the enemy who wrecked Job.
But Job loved God, but he did not know God.
And, you know, so it happened.
What I love about Job is he was still ready to honor God,
but, you know, he said, naked I come from my mother's womb,
and naked I will depart.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away.
May the name of the Lord be praised.
Well, that's where we get it from.
It's the only place in the Bible that says it.
But, you know, Job even comes back later in the book and says, I spoke of things that I knew nothing about. But we make a theology, but
you go to 1010, John 1010, Jesus comes back and I think restores that message to us because,
guys, I'm not the thief. I'm not killing. I'm not destroying. I am the giver of abundant life.
Jesus is the giver of abundant life. We have to know him. Absolutely. You know, the thing is, is that a lot of people might not
realize this, but Job is the oldest book in the Bible. And the other thing that's about this is
when you start to understand, when you look at the Old Testament, the Old Testament, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, the whole Old Testament is not chronologically, it's not, the Bible was not chronologically developed.
It was just how they decided where the books were going to go.
It's not chronological.
The reason why I'm bringing up this distinction is because there is a revelation,
there is an ongoing revelation from the earliest of times of the view of God into now.
And there is a progressive revelation where the light of God's glory and grace is getting bigger and bigger.
Now, some people don't have that theology.
They think that the gates of hell will prevail against the church.
They think that the enemy is going to overcome us.
And they believe that it's going to get darker and darker.
And that's all it is.
And I understand that maybe even some people that are listening here may have this view. But the reality is, is that God's kingdom, that Jesus did the finish.
He finished the job and he did it well.
And regardless of what you see in the earth, God's glory is bigger than the devil's glory.
There is no that we're sin abounds.
Grace abounds so much more.
Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it does not exist.
The Bacchic 414 says that the knowledge of the glory of God will cover the earth as the waters cover the seas.
And what that means is that people will acknowledge the goodness of God, the glory of God, and they'll recognize, oh my goodness,
the glory of God's always been here. I want you to know, I went to Colorado with my family this
past weekend, and I'll tell you, I saw the glory of God in the mountains. I saw the glory of God
in the plants. I saw the glory of God in the animals. And the more that you tune in to his
voice, where it looks like there's a darkness in your world, there's chaos in your world,
I want you to know you can escape into the reality of the kingdom of God by being childlike and not trying to figure it all out.
You know what? It brought me to a moment.
So there was actually, I'd say, you met me one time for like one minute before we actually, the day we really kind of got to know each other.
The first thing you said to me, you said, you know what?
You said, the Lord said you're really smart, but stop trying to figure everything out.
And that was such a powerful word for me.
But anyways, we're going to move on.
But hey, thank you guys for watching.
Share the show.
It's really the best thing that you guys can do for us is share the show.
People who would not have the ability to see it are going to be able to see it because you share it. And so, uh, stick on the show with us because in about 10 minutes,
guys, Darby is going to be, Darby's going to be hearing from the Lord and he's going to be
prophesying and speaking over to people's lives. Many that he's never met, that he's never seen.
It's a beautiful gift. I always love watching people that are moving in the prophetic highly
like you are Darby. So, um,. So you said something, and we're going to
get into this, so we're going to talk about prophecy. And I have something for you, Mr.
Slayton, that you were not expecting, because you might be the prophet on the show, but God knows
if we're talking about it, you're not the only one who hears from God, right? So I have a man,
a good friend, his name is Chris. He intercedes for our show and my family and our ministry.
And he's a prophet.
He's what I would call really a seer prophet.
He's a high-level intercessor.
He saw your picture today and saw you were on the show, and he has this for Darby.
So we're going to start releasing some things, okay?
You all right if I speak something over you?
Oh, 100%.
Thank you.
So he said as he was praying for Darby,
the Lord spoke. He called you head coach, a general. Strength and compassion are your attributes,
commanding troops, giving instructions and direction. God's heart is in your leadership
style. Your gentleness is in all caps compelling to others. Faithfulness and genuineness are at
the root of your heart, and you will carry out many,
all caps, exploits for the kingdom of God. Strategies have been released and received.
You have the blueprint and foundation to complete each task. Compelling, by definition, is evoking
interest, attention, or admiration in a powerful, irresistible way. An exploit, by definition,
is a bold or daring feat.
So I release that to you, Darby Shaw.
That's so good.
That is like a really awesome steak right there.
Yeah, I'd love to get a copy of that.
I'll send it to you for sure.
I have him write them down
because he gets these words
and I can't remember them and release them.
I was like, dude, you have to write that down.
So anyways, I know that Chris will be watching and, you know, he's pretty much usually spot on.
So you're going to be blessed from this show as well, Darby, but you are blessing many.
So we appreciate you.
So something you spoke on prophecy.
We're going to get into prophecy a little more for a few minutes and then we're going to speak over some people's lives.
So you said something about prophesying through the finished work of the cross.
Can you get into that a little more?
Yeah.
So some people might not know this or have this understanding,
and this is actually something I came into understanding probably about 2000.
Actually, it was 2011, 2012.
I would say that I heard this terminology used for the first time.
You know, the time when Jesus is on the cross, he says it is finished.
OK, and when he said it's finished,
that means he accomplished the work that God set him out to do. Now, that statement alone,
when we understand what Christ has accomplished, what we do is we strive to enter rest. The reality
of transformation is not about us becoming something or moving towards something. It's
actually coming from someone. It is positional. So positionally in Christ, everything that Christ
has accomplished, his performance is what brought us into this place of redemption.
Everything that Christ did, everything that you have, even your faith
to choose Jesus was given to you. And the only thing that it requires of us is to acknowledge
what he's already put in us. And so when you start to understand this, this is like
the divine cheat code. We have everything that pertains to life and godliness.
That means we have every single thing already because of our position in Christ Jesus.
And so when we're operating out of the prophetic this way, I'm not telling you something that hasn't happened. In a sense, I am.
Yes, time-related, I could say this is what's going to happen.
But the reality is that that prophecy, that destiny was already known from the beginning of time.
So I'm prophesying something into being because of what Christ has done.
2 Peter 1 says – actually, I'm going to go there.
You mind if I go there real quick?
Thank you guys for watching while Darby's finding the share
of the show. We're about to
prophesy, speaking to some people's
lives. We love you guys.
Yeah, this is
like one of the most powerful.
I spent so much time in this.
Verse 2, grace and peace. This is
2 Peter chapter 1 verse 2, grace and peace. This is 2 Peter chapter 1, verse 2.
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God.
That's not the head knowledge.
That's the heart knowledge.
And of our Lord Jesus as his divine power has given us all things that pertain to life.
That's outwardly and godliness.
That means inwardly.
He's given us everything through the knowledge of him who called us to glory and virtue by which he's given us exceedingly great and precious promises that through these you may be partakers of his divine nature, having escaped that corruption that is in the world through lust.
Now, basically what this is saying is, so how do we get our minds renewed? By receiving his precious promises. This is the
transformation that takes place. By receiving his precious promises, this is how we look like God.
By receiving these promises, we become partakers of his divine nature. So everything of the finished work is receiving.
So that's really what it comes down to is I'm really prophesying the word of God, his divine
will on people, which is, I don't even have to ask God, what's God's will for someone's life?
That you look like Jesus. That is God's ultimate will. And people get hung up on it.
They say, well, do I go to Africa or don't go to Africa?
No, it's that you look and live
and let the life of Christ flow through you
and that you co-labor together
and that together, us-ness, togetherness,
we get to go and change the world.
Now, do I understand that God gets a lion's share
of the work?
Yes, and all of my work? Yes. And all
my work is to learn how to enter into that rest. So really the prophetic Romans are Revelations
19, 10 says that, that, that, that, that prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. Really prophecy is
saying what Jesus is already saying. His yes is our amen. So good. Yeah, Joe, I'm gonna give
Joe Hoy a shout out because usually he's watching on a channel where I can't, he can't comment. So
he said, John 15 is the true vine. We are branches that receive. So yeah, guys, if you want to,
I mean, it's, you can watch this show right now on a lot of different channels, which is a great
thing, but I'm not going to be able to see your comments unless you guys are commenting directly from my page.
So Darby may see some, but if you guys are here in a few minutes, we're going to speak into people's lives.
Comment, tell us where you're watching from.
I see that people are watching. So if you're open to a prophetic word, um, you know, Darby, I'm going to give you
the, the, the freedom to operate how, how the Lord operates through you. So I don't know if, um,
you need, you know, you, you do how the Lord works through Darby. I don't know if you want people to
say, Hey, I want a word or you're, the Lord's just going to show you someone that's listening
and watching right now and just release it. So you you take over here so okay so basically we have about 14 people right now okay and um what i'd
like you to do is is is it is is to keep your comments in front of me because i can't i don't
know who's here and who's not here um sure could could God give me a word of knowledge? 100%, but why just let me know you're here.
You're not begging for a word.
If I get a word for you, I will prophesy over you.
And so if you let me know,
right now I know there's 14 people here.
I know my sister's here.
I know Melissa's here.
Those are the last two.
And Sandy's here too.
And Joe.
So if you guys are still here, let me know.
I'm always open, laughing out loud. Okay, cool. Hi, Kara Beth. Okay. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to go here.
Cool. I'm going to go here and I'm going to actually prophesy over Kara Beth. Um,
I don't think I know you, but I'm going to, uh, I feel led to, to give you something here. Okay, so Cara Beth, what I'm getting for you is,
my sense for you is that you are, I see this picture of you.
I see this picture of a flower that is actually blooming in the night.
And I don't always get pictures like that,
but I see this picture of you, Cara, blooming in the night. And I don't always get pictures like that, but I see this picture of you,
Kara, blooming in the night. And we know that most times when something's blooming,
it's during the day. And what I'm hearing is even in the darkest times, you will thrive.
And this is your lot in life. Your lot in life is that even when all hell's breaking loose, that heaven will break loose
even more through you.
What I sense is this, is that you are coming into a season of great growth.
You're going through a growth spurt.
You're going through this renewal process.
You're going through this transformational process of recognizing what Christ has done.
And I feel like there's a lot of questions
that you have that are not even going to be, you're going to get to a point where you don't
even need to know the answers because you are so satisfied in what God's doing that you just know
that he's working everything out for your good. I feel like, I feel like, Kara, there is,
there's a cloud that's trying to come over you and you don't have to come into agreement with.
And I see you coming into this next season, and I see breakthrough for you.
I see this laughter through you.
I see this dance through you.
I see this freedom through you, and it's because of what Christ is doing.
And I really sense
that you are going to say things you never thought you'd ever say. You are going to do
things you never thought you'd ever do. And you're going to look back at yourself at times
and be beside yourself and be like, oh my gosh, am I really doing this? And it's because of the
animated spirit of God moving through you in such a way that the true you is emerging.
You are not shy. You are not reserved. You are
not some quiet little wallflower. You're meant to bloom. You're meant to be big. You're meant to be
beautiful. You're meant to be bold. And so that's what I see for you, Kara. That's what I see for
you. Awesome. Brittany Sprinkles said, yes, I know that they're friends. So hey, Brittany. Hey,
Jamie. Hey, Hannah. Hey, Peggy. Hey, Carl. Hey, Penny. Hey, Carolyn. Hi, Karen. Hey, Joe. Hey, said yes she i know that they're friends so hey britney hey jamie hey hannah hey peggy hey carl
hey penny hey carolyn hi karen hey joe hey chris those are some that have commented
jen slayton i don't oh i guess that's your sister that's my sister yeah my sister jen um
yeah i got i got something for christopher unless you don't want me to unless you want
unless you have no i think he said he's always open.
That's what he said.
So Christopher,
this is what I'm sensing for you.
There are prayers that you
prayed that
seem like they're on the back burner
and I actually
believe that you're coming into a season
of divine
connection. You are coming into a place of relationships
like you've never had before.
There is a sense of family around you
that your family is about to expand.
You're about to come into this new season.
I also believe that there is creativity
being released through you there is a um uh there is a uh there
there there are there are songs there are uh i see you writing down words i i feel like there's
something about you wordsmithing and actually describing things of what the kingdom of god
is like now i don't know if you write or if there's something i've thought about writing
but what i see is i believe that creativity in this season is going to come out like never before.
I also see the word of God dwelling you richly.
I believe that you are a one that digs into the word.
You have the word of God and you have the spirit of God.
And I see these things coming together and I'm seeing this combustion happening for you. I feel like there is something about that God's lining things up for the future. I see a teacher. You have a strong understanding and a desire for knowledge and to grow in the knowledge of the glory of God. And I believe that one day you're going to teach other people about the kingdom of God. And I also believe there's something to do with creativity.
I don't know if that's something you're going to be teaching,
but those are the things that I see for you.
Awesome.
Cara Bessett, thank you, Darby, right on.
I'm going to ask, so you painted a picture that this man now has,
our line of Judah here in studio.
And I know Judah is listening.
So how about let's see what the Lord shows you for Judah.
Yeah. And I know Judah is listening. So how about let's see what the Lord shows you for Judah. Yeah, so what I'm getting for Judah is,
is, okay, so I see this picture of this table.
And this table is full of unfinished products or unfinished uh unfinished uh maybe it's products
but unfinished uh projects and uh uh some of those projects you started and stalled out and
nothing came to it uh some other projects uh you started to see a little traction and then you kind
of pulled back a little bit.
And then, but what I believe is there's a lot of loose ends that God's tying up in this season.
And there are some projects that you gave up a long time ago that thought you would never,
ever see the light of day. And I believe that God is re, what's the word? He's bringing back,
he's bringing back old dead dreams
and resurrecting dead dreams.
And I believe that this season for you, Judah,
is that any place where you've been,
have seen disappointment and discouragement,
that you're going to see the winds of God in this season,
the W-I-N-S of God. Romans 5, 17, by understanding your righteousness and the grace of God,
you will reign in life. So you are going to be known as someone that is reigning in life,
and the prosperity of God in your life is going to be very evident to everyone around you. Now,
I know prosperity
is not just about finances, but I do sense a big financial breakthrough coming your way.
There we go. He's nodding his head. Yes, Judah has a very good poker face,
so I'll have to fill you in later on his thoughts. But he said, thank you. Hey, so Darby,
I ask this at the end of every show to every person, all right? And I know you're not prepared for this, so I do believe it will be the Lord.
Do you have anything on your heart for the city of Charlottesville or for the show in general?
For Charlottesville or the show?
Well, you know, what I sense is, actually, I don't even think I've ever been to
Charlottesville, but I'm just going to go, I'm just going to go, I'm going to go over here. So
what I see God doing in this season, in 2025, I believe that God is in the process, I see this picture of a downtown area. It's not very exciting.
It's like this picture is kind of dull, kind of like the picture that I see is closed. I see all
these empty buildings. And I don't know if that's a metaphor or if that's reality, but I think this
is something that God's doing. But I see this picture of, I see this, I see God, it's so cool.
I see the lion, okay? And maybe this is because it's behind me, but I'm seeing him speak across
the streets and I see all of the life of God going through the doors and through the windows of this downtown area.
And I see complete restoration. I see artists painting. I see coffee shops. I see ministries.
I see all of these. This is a creative hub and that people will come from all around just to
see what God is doing in this region. And it's going to
come through commerce. It's going to come through the marketplace. And people are going to be,
they're going to think, wow, this is God's rejuvenation. The renaissance of Charlottesville
is happening. And why are all these creatives coming here gathering like this? And they're
going to realize that there's a move of God happening in Charlottesville. And I believe that the podcast and what you're doing,
and so if I understand correctly- Let me just say one thing first,
because that was for Charlottesville, but you don't know this because that was also for the show.
Because what you pictured, what the Lord gave you,
this show strategically by the Lord,
films and airs in the middle of the downtown mall Charlottesville.
And that vision that you got of those shut down businesses,
which are shut down businesses all over that mall,
that is what you saw.
So I'm very encouraged by that.
That's no clue.
That's so cool. That's so cool.
That is really encouraging.
Yeah. I, uh, I mean, if I drove through there, I don't remember it.
So, but it will be remembered.
People will remember it when they go through it next time. Um, so,
so are you asking me for the white mountain ministries,
like what you're doing with a podcast or the, or, or, or what,
what were you looking for? I'm not looking for anything. I just want to see, you know,
where your heart was, what the Lord gave you. I mean, I think he gave you something very powerful
about the show and the city in that, in that one word, you know, it could be for Jerry Miller. It
could be for this network. It could be for the white mountain show. No pressure. It's okay.
Yeah. I got something for Jerry. Um,erry um the lord uh the lord wants him to know
my senses my sense is and i and that's why i i leave some wiggle room because i can i can make
mistakes but what i sense for jerry is that god wants you to know that he has your back
he wants you to know not only does he have your back he also wants you to know not only does he have your back,
he also wants you to know
that he is the one that backs you up.
And I'm seeing this financial
backing.
This is a God
birth idea.
But this is the
pilot for
what lies ahead
for you, Jerry.
And what I sense is, Jerry, you are to help magnify the word of the Lord throughout the earth.
And what I sense is, now, I don't know exactly what his process or what this looks like.
I'm speaking into areas that I have no natural knowledge of.
I don't understand the process.
But what I see happening is that God is bringing other people
that are meant to get their message out
and that Jerry and the team is going to be a part of this
and is going to bring these people together.
And these people, it's almost a network.
It's a network that's being
built and i believe that this um where you're at now the location i see you actually taking up
other locations that are going to get swallowed up in the success of what you're doing and that
you are going to that the the show is going to be a part of this process. Now I can see how this is a prophetic word.
And what's going to happen is it's almost like back in the day.
Are you talking about White Mountain now?
Yes.
The radio stations and the production.
I'm talking about Jerry's production,
and I'm talking about White Mountain Ministries.
And what I see happening is
i believe that you guys are going to see um some of the biggest ripples it's it's it's the the next
couple months is really believing what god had to give you in the middle of all the chaos and
declaring that over and you will see this it's like it's like a radio station like it's going
to be like it's it's it's you know and then. Like it's going to be like, it's, it's, it's,
it's,
you know,
and then,
and then what I see happening is I see it not only in airing,
uh,
with audio.
And as you're doing video,
I believe that this is going to actually open up a lot of other doors and that you guys got to get ready for the expansion of what God's bringing.
Amen.
Praise God.
Yeah.
That was, that was beautiful, man.
I hate to go,
but when the Spirit starts
flowing and
prophesying, and it's beautiful, I know
people are being impacted, but this is a one-hour
show, and I'll have to
talk to Jerry Miller about that, huh, Judah?
So we have
to go, but is there anything that you would like to say
on your way out, Darby?
You know, I just want to say to everyone out there that did not receive a word, I want you
to know that God is speaking to you, and that you can hear Him, you just have to recognize
where God is speaking to you, so I pray in Jesus name that you would come to recognize his voice and that that when you recognize his voice, the peace that passes all understanding will overtake your life.
And so, yeah, if you want to connect with me, I have you can add me as a friend on Facebook or follow me.
I do some prophetic pop ups over the weeks.
I also do some art.
I do a lot of selling my artwork. And I believe that that's
a ministry that I have. A lot of the artwork brings peace into people's homes and joy.
And yeah, if you have a business and you need some help, feel free to reach out to me in any
way I want to serve you. So thank you for having me be a part of today's interview. And thanks,
guys, for hanging out with us today.
Yeah, Darby, I love your heart.
I love the fire, the passion in you.
I love your anointing and your fun.
And it flew by, and I knew we were going to have a good time today.
I'm excited.
I'll go back and watch it.
And, yeah, stay on for a minute, but I'm going to end the show here.
So, guys, I appreciate you all watching and listening.
As always, I pray that you are blessed. Please end the show here. So guys, I appreciate you all watching and listening.
As always, I pray that you are blessed.
Please share the show.
We thank Darby again, once again, for joining us.
Next week, we are going to have Candice Smitherman from Florida, an amazing woman of God.
She's written many books.
She's been on shows like Sid Roth.
I don't even know what we're going to talk about, but it's going to be a very supernatural show.
So we're excited about that.
I speak life and love and healing over your bodies in the name of Jesus. I do thank our partnership and sponsor opening doors, real estate and Melanie Morris and bless you guys. Have a good
week. God bless. Thank you.
