Welcome to the I Love Seville Show, guys. My name is Jerry Miller, and thank you kindly for joining us on a Wednesday afternoon. This is the most watched and listened to media in Charlottesville, Almore County, and Central Virginia. And folks, it's not even close. The reason this media works is it's long-form content. I'm unaffiliated. I'm unabashed. And I'm unafraid.

We will speak the truth on the program today. And we will do it Monday through Friday from 1230 to 1.30. We encourage you, the viewer, and listener to pull out your phone like I'm doing, right now and to direct message or text message somebody like I'm doing right now to watch and listen to this show. That's the only thing we ask of you. There's a lot of topics I want to cover on the program. In fact, there's so many that I haven't been able to feature them all on the headline list that you see on screen. Take a look at the screen for today's headlines, ladies and gentlemen. Some of the headlines I was unable to feature is what the UVA Foundation is doing on Arlington Boulevard.

In Arlington Boulevard, ladies and gentlemen, is the road right next to Barracks Road Shopping Center. It's the road right next to where Buffalo Wild Wings was. The road that goes right next to the Harris Teeter. Ladies and gentlemen, the University of Virginia Real Estate Foundation has spent $20,500,000 in the past five and a half years to purchase six properties on the southern side of the roadway. And as Sean Tubbs reports in the CIVA Weekly, the foundation has filed for demolition permitting for an office building on Arlington Boulevard. I believe that's the money-wise building.

You clearly see the UVA Foundation and the University of Virginia focusing on Arlington Boulevard as it looks to expand its footprint. We know admissions, applicants, the applicant pool at the University of Virginia as in an all-time high. We know admissions offered will be at an all-time high, and students enrolled will be in an all-time high. And we're yet to see the Paul Manning Biotech Institute and the Jaffrey Woodruff-funded Data Science School at full momentum and full student enrollment. This is the engine that is Charlottesville and Almarl County, the University of Virginia. It's a company town, ladies and gentlemen. I want to talk about that on the I Love Seville Show.

Most programs that would be the lead of the show, today it's not even on the headline list. Furthermore, on most programs, we would be discussing as the lead of the show, the fact that gasoline all over Charlottesville, Namoire County is over $4 a gallon. On most days on the I Love Sevo show, we would be talking about interest rates. Interest rates now are escalating yet again. on most days on the I Love Seville show, we would be talking about inflation, pesky inflation, rearing its miserable, ugly head one more time. I can make a convincing argument for you, the viewer, and listener, that right now, July 22nd, 2026, a Wednesday, is the most expensive time in the history

of Charlottesville, Almore County, and Central Virginia to live within. I want you to understand what I just said. we can make a very convincing argument that today, Wednesday, July 22nd, 2006 is the most expensive time in the history of our community to live. Think about that. A lot we're going to cover on the program today. We must discuss this scandal that is absolutely ravaging and rocking our community. Almaro County School Board yesterday, post-close of business, announced that they will, in fact,

have a third-party investigation into a child-sex scandal that has absolutely demoralized our community. Now, before we applaud Almeral County School Board, we must ask some very straightforward questions. Will this third-party investigation look like UVA's third-party investment? investigation, where they hire consultants or third parties that are more friend than foe, more clandestine than transparent. Furthermore, when the report is completed, when the report is assembled, will it be redacted? Do you guys remember the, the, the, the, uh, triple, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the mass murder, the triple homicide with the Virginia football players a handful of years ago,

once we eventually got that report, it took years to get that report, years to get that report. One of the mothers of a fallen football player told the media, I just want to know what happened to my son. He's dead, and I don't know why. And this report that was provided to me by the University of Virginia has everything in it that's redacted, so I can't even read it. what happened to my son. The sexual assaults alleged on school grounds at Holly Meade Elementary, maybe Woodbrook Elementary.

Will we truly understand or will we truly have transparency over what happened? Before we celebrate, before we champion, and before we applaud the Amarok County School Board for finally doing what we've been saying on the I Love Seville Network from day one,

the first to say it right here on the I Love Seville Network, there needs to be a third-party investigation. Before we give props and kudos to the school board, we must ask the question, what is the legitimacy of this investigation? What is the transparency of this investigation? Will the players in the investigation be more friends of the school board in Almore County? Or will they truly be independent and fearless? Vanessa Parkhill is a key member of this family.

the queen of Earleysville. She sent me a direct message about 20 minutes ago and she said, goodness gracious, wouldn't it be fantastic if Meg Bryce would be a part of the independent review panel? That got my wheels turning. That got my brain moving. I cannot think of a more trustworthy. I cannot think of a more honest. I cannot think of a more tenacious. I cannot think of a more tenacious. I cannot think of a more fearless. I cannot think of a more intelligent, straightforward, component, member, or individual of a third-party investigation into Almaro County Public Schools than Dr. Meg Bryce herself. And ladies and gentlemen, is there not some, oh, some sweet, sweet irony if Meg Bryce would be a part of this third-party investigation.

Can you imagine what Allison Spillman, her opponent in the general election a couple years ago, would be thinking? And I'm going to ask you, the viewers and listeners, this question of very straight 401. Giddy up and get ready. Who in Almaro County? What person in Almaro County right now is quaking in their boots, more fearful than anyone of a third-party investigation. Is it Dr. Matthew Haas, who right now is floating somewhere in the atmosphere thanks to a golden parachute that's affording him nearly $300,000 of taxpayer revenue over the next year and change to be absolutely silent? Is the one quaking in his boots, Joe McCauley, the embattled principal of Hollymead Elementary, that right now is on the employment

line, maybe at the proverbial soup kitchen, trying to figure out what his next professional pursuit is. Who's the most quaking in their boots in Elmorrow County right now? Is it Rebecca Berlin school board chairman? Is it some of these longer standing school board members that are quaking in their boots right now? Who, ladies and gentlemen, is more fearful of a third-party investigation? Maybe some of the teachers at Holly Meade Elementary that did not.

report to sexual assaults alleged in timely fashion. Remember, anything of this magnitude, anything of this ilk, any teacher, any employee of ACPS must immediately report this. That's the letter of the law. Who did not do it? And will that show up in the third-party investigation? We'll unpack those topics today on the water cooler of content and conversation. As a segue on a different talking point, and before we welcome the illustrious, the well-known, the capable Judah Wickhauer onto the program. I'm going to talk a little deal flow for you, the viewer and listener. I mentioned, and we broke the news thanks to an insider that's a friend of ours, a hotel year,

on Monday, that the Holiday Inn on Fifth Street extended sold. You're talking, Judah Wickhauer, what? 132 hotel rooms. 132 hotel rooms, ladies and gentlemen, at the Holiday Inn on Fifth Street. $10,800,000 the purchase price. About $81,000 a hotel room. This hotel, the Holiday Inn on Fifth Street extended, has a full-service restaurant,

has a business center with computers and printers, has a laundry facility, has an exercise and fitness facility, as a swimming pool, has a check-in and checkout point, has multiple lounge areas, and more than 150 parking spaces, and its position right next to the Rivana Trail,

2.54 total acres. I'm going to ask you the viewer and listener, doesn't the Holiday Inn Monticello on Fifth Street extended sound like an effing low barrier potential homeless shelter to you? The purchasers, Riva hospitality of the Holiday Inn on Fifth Street extended, soup to nuts are going to be in. After a little bit of rehab, they said they're going to do minimal outfit, an outfit after buying for 10.8 million,

they're going to be, call it soup to nuts, somewhere between 11 million and 11.5 million. Let's compare and contrast it to 2,000 holiday drive where our stewards of our taxpayer dollars, Charlottesville City Hall, stewards, a word used loosely, have spent $6.2 million on a 27,000 square foot office building. The Holiday Inn is 71,000 square feet. 27,000 versus 71,000.

That 6.2 million is the tip of the iceberg. Another 9 to 14 million needed from taxpayers, all in 15 to 20 million for 2000 Holiday Drive. And we're going to get some 80 Coleman Cots and maybe 80 Yeti tumblers and not the ones that yours truly likes the big ones. I'm talking the tiny tumblers. The tiny tumblers. And frankly, no one's going to use it. No one's going to go to that shelter. I want to unpack the deal flow on the I Love Seville show today.

Judah Wickhauer, goodness gracious, great balls of fire. We have a lot to talk about two-shot Judah Wickhauer, studio camera and a two-shot, as we welcome a trusted voice in this community to the talk show. My friend, the talking points and the headlines that most intrigue you on Humpty and downtown Charlottesville. What do you got? Well, I think including Meg Bryce in any potential investigation would certainly piques my interest.

I think we can trust her to be, I think most of us can agree to trust her to be unbiased and to look for, you know, look for the evidence of wrongdoing and try to keep in mind that this is all about the, the protection of our children. God, that would be so sweet if Meg Bryce was a part of that third-party investigation. It would be so sweet. A lot we're going to cover. Let's start with the lead of the show. A third-party investigation announced

close of business yesterday in a statement from the Admiral County School Board. Would you make of the storyline, Judah Wickhauer, with thousands of people watching you on the talk show right now? I can't say I'm really surprised. I mean, we're probably getting pretty close to pitch forks and torches if

something wasn't done in terms of an investigation. And I think there's a lot more, I think there's a lot more to be unearthed than just Haas and the principal. We'll give some attention to a partner of the show. Conan Owen and Sir Speedy is Central Virginia. Conan's on the program tomorrow. A Hispanic-owned business, Sir Speedy, Central Virginia,

anything signage-related, direct mail-related, anything storefront vinyl-related, anything merchandise, uniforms, stickers, lookbooks, lanyards, the banners, the step-and-repeat-repeat, directly behind me is a Sir, Spedia Central Virginia. Conan Owen and Sir Speria Central Virginia is who you contact guys. You'll see him tomorrow on the program. Phil Reese sent me a statement before the show started.

He's the chairman of the Alamoreau County Republican Committee. And Phil Reese is very media savvy. And Phil Reese makes this statement to the I Love Seville Network. Look, I'm a Holly Mead parent. I welcome the fact that the school board made a decision yesterday to call a special meeting to discuss independent investigation into what happened with this division and how it's handled sexual misconduct. allegations. But he asked a very important question. Why did it take so long first for the school board

to come to this conclusion? And did the school board, did the school board buckle under pressure from the Isle of Seville Network fresh from its vacation this week when it started asking these questions, what does the school board have to hide? Why has it not made this investigation public or announced it? And did the school board buckle under pressure? from delegates Katrina Coulson, Creed's, Amy Loffer, and Congressman John McGuire, and is that why we have an independent investigation?

Why did the school board not listen to parents first? When parents from day one said, we need an investigation to happen, why did the school board crickets the parents? Yeah, because there wasn't enough pressure yet, I don't think. I can't see any other reason why they would balk at a, at an investigation in less, I mean, really, I think what's on a lot of people's minds is that there's far more to this than what we've seen. And if your name is going to come out in an independent investigation, I can see why you would be extremely fearful of pushing that place.

pushing that option. Here's a question I have. I'm no lawyer. I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor did I sleep at the Holiday Inn on Fifth Street extended the holiday in Monticello that just sold for $10,000, $10,000, $800,000 that would have made a fantastic homeless shelter, Charlottesville City Council and City Manager Sam Sanders. That topic in a matter of moments, that's called a tease in the business, ladies and gentlemen. Here's the questions that I have. if this third-party investigation is truly authentic and unaffiliated to outmore county public schools. And if this third-party investigation delivers or showcases, I guess uncovers is a better word, uncovers the paper trail that folks are emailing this.

I have a mom who's asked for anonymity. She said, I've emailed the school board an extended period of time about potential criminality at Hollymead Elementary. and I have the documents to prove it. Heck, another on the record source was at least a Broadway yesterday. Broadaway. Told school board members last Thursday, six days ago in the meeting that I've been emailing you since. She first had concerns about Sweeney three years ago. Three years ago.

Emailing ACPS three years ago about Mike Sweeney. The question we ask all of us. and this is a tough one, but this is today's reality. If there's documented evidence of parents, teachers, ACPS employees, anyone communicating with school board members or upper management, C-suite management within Almore County Public Schools of alleged sexual assaults on children on school grounds, what's the extent of criminality that can be pursued? And here's another terrifying proposition for Almore County public schools. And frankly, this should be a terrifying proposition for Almore County taxpayers.

Are you ready for this? If this third-party investigation is truly authentic and truly uncovers meritable criminality or meritable malpractice, what kind of exposure, civil exposure, class action, lawsuit exposure is there with parents, attorneys against Almorea County public schools and demanding some kind of payday or payout. You see why, and this is for the sake of a talk show, Judah Wickham, you see why the Almer County School Board does not want a third-party investigation. When you have a third-party investigation, you are basically saying, okay, tenacious, curious, intelligent, fearless investigators

come into our home and look at our skeletons in the closet in our dirty laundry and then take those skeletons and those dirty laundry document them and comprehensive and cohesive and transparent capacities

and present them to either the public or us as a board. That document is leverage for potential criminality pursuits, class action lawsuit pursuits, and will forever in perpetuity document a digital trail that could stigmatize scarlet letter

and frankly tarnish the reputations of whoever's linked to that document from now until the end of time. I don't have a problem with that. Do you live in the city? I live just outside. Okay. You're an Amar County taxpayer.

Yep. This right here, depending on the willingness of the school board, on what kind of investigators they welcome into the henhouse, what kind of wolves they allow into the henhouse, could be the absolute onset of potential criminality, pursuits and a civil lawsuit, a class action lawsuit that could financially cripple? I mean, what does a significant payday in a class action lawsuit due to ACPS? Yeah.

That's already struggling with falling enrollment. Enrollment that drives state and federal funding. And wanting more money. And wanting more money. Here's a follow-up question. viewers and listeners. Follow-up question for you. Will we see the resignations of ACPS employees

or ACPS elected officials before the presentation of this third-party report? I would not surprise me at all. Another question for you. Public pressure is paramount right now to make sure the school board is truly authentic with who it chooses as a third party investigator.

As a community, as taxpayers, public pressure is a powerful, powerful tool. It's one of the things that's causing the Rivana River tent town tent town to be torn down.

A TikTok video with a man in a tank top, I love tank tops. I was having a conversation with a friend via text message yesterday about how much I love tank tops. Love wearing tank tops. My wife doesn't like me in a tank top. I don't know why.

I said, sweetheart, son's out, guns out. Pass me a cold beverage, please. She says, don't wear tank tops. I'm saying I'm wearing the tank top, sweetheart. You know who you marry. Having a conversation with a friend about tank tops the other day. A man in a tank top walks down the Rivana Trail with bear spray. His video camera rolling, posting to TikTok.

That video goes viral. and that public pressure is what pushes Sam Sanders and Juan Diego Wade and city council to clear out tent town. It wasn't until that public pressure crescendoed with this video that went viral. That tent town had a stop date. I think it just sped up a process that was going very slowly. 100%. Because the plan initially was to wait until 2000 Holiday Drive was finalized. They were flirting with the idea of a temporary shelter.

They were flurring the idea with a makeshift shelter at 2000 Holiday Drive, but there was no stop date. Now there's a firm and hard stop date. Yeah. My wife, we were having this conversation. We're driving down by 2000 Holiday Drive. So she's like, wait a minute. They're going to put the tent town here.

She's like, everyone is going to see this tent town on the bypass that drives by it. I am extremely fearful that this independent investigation is going to go by the way of so many UVA independent investigations where reports will be redacted and sweetheart deals will be cut with who they hire as the independent third party. You fearful of that?

A little bit. Less fearful than I would be in the case of UVA. I mean, UVA is a is a behemoth, ACPS, much less so. I think it would be much easier to claw the truth from a poor investigation or at least show it for what it is than there is with UVA where there's, you know, if former president Jim Ryan decides to present a largely resolutely. redacted document, who do you go to? I'm not sure who you would go to to, nobody managed to to fix that redacted document about the murdered football players. In the case of Albemarle County public schools, I feel like they would have a much harder time with a, you know, redacting an

entire document like that without the outcry reaching levels that would force them to do something. Tom Starcher watching the program, he's a Golden Apple Award winner and a retired Admiral County Public School teacher. He says if a class action lawsuit happens and taxpayers are responsible for tens, 20, 30, 40, 50 million dollars, I'm totally fine. Let the chips fall. And I fully expect all what you listed as being true. All will have to go.

I'm going to tell you right now. I'm going to tell you right now. If the mom that's asked for anonymity that's contacted me of emailing the catch can Almore County School Board account, email account saying something sketchy is going on with Mike Sweeney and her instincts are flashing or they're up. They're saying something's wrong. She's got documented proof. What kind of criminality what kind of class action lawsuit exposure does that yield the school division if school board members knew about this for years? I mean, Lisa Broadway said she's been telling people for years that something's going on. And here's a huge, huge concern, point of concern. This Sweeney fellow, and I'm still using the word allege to your guys,

the Sweeney fellow prior to working for Almore County Public Schools was rumored with this behavior at a group home where he was employed by before he got the job at Woodbrook. At Woodbrook, these rumors followed him. And then during COVID, Matthew Haas created this social emotional learning coach position during the pandemic and handpicked Sweeney is the guy for Holly Me. I mean, good God, this doesn't take Lenny Briscoe and Jack McCoy to figure out something. something super sketchy here. Comments continue to come in.

Malcolm Inge watching the program. In addition to a comprehensive, independent investigation, we need to have an independent financial audit of Alburo County Public Schools 100%. Here's why I 100% agree with him. How is Almer County Public Schools per pupil spend? Per pupil spend, one of the most expensive in the Commonwealth, yet post-COVID performance, return on investment, is falling significantly.

You're spending a hell of a lot of money per kid to educate them, yet the output, the ROI is getting crappier and crappier every year. Make that make sense. Well, with teaching plans, like they're using with the, you know, the 40%... Low score you can get a 40%? Multiple retakes on tests. No penalty for turning your home in late or not turning in at all. No props given to class participation.

and very little emphasis actually put on showing up for school. If you're true and if you're tardy, if you're skipping school, if you're doing what Jerry used to do back in the day where maybe you were skipping school and you were puff, puff, puff passing by the dumpster or in his buddy's Volvo while you were driving around town,

hey, you're not going to get in trouble for that. Vanessa Parkhill watching the program. Queen of Earlysville. One of the big upsides of Meg Bryce being included is that no one would question whether she was covering for the current border staff. The review panel should include at least three people. I would love to see Meg

Bryce be one of them. I second that. Vanessa Park Hill, so the city and county are over the top with guidelines for signs and building materials and building colors, particularly along the entrance quarter. But hey, let's put our homeless population on display, front and center along the bypass. 100%.

I want you to understand that. You try to do some signage in downtown Charlottesville, or you try to do some signage and protect it and historic districts, you're going through so much red tape before you get approval, but it's okay. We're going to put a hundred or so tent town inhabitants on one of the most important transitionary or transitory gateways in the city, the bypass for everyone to see. Make that make sense, viewers and listeners.

I mean, that's what Maine... That's primarily what breweries produce. is IPAs. That's mainly what the drinking population consumes. Patrick McAnnam's watching on YouTube. He's a product of the Almore County Public School system and one of the greatest lacrosse coaches that Almore County Public Schools has ever seen.

found to at least have knowledge, if not further guilt. And those people are terrified and I say good. A school system that fails at students across the board academically, emotionally, emotionally, and physically deserve to be crippled. This is also coming from a mother that has homeschooled her kids and no longer has children within Almara County Public Schools. But I think that point is made. Judah's also making the point as someone who is not a father and doesn't have kids in Ammar County Public Schools either. I agree. And also in response to, I believe it was Tom Stardial, I have no problem with the, with, you know, if this, if this brings about class action lawsuits, obviously it's not good for, for Almar County. If we have to, we have to pay out some money. But I don't care. I mean, this is, I don't see this as a negotiable. This investigation needs to happen. We need to find out who knew what. who needs to be called from our schools to make sure that our kids are protected? We're all in absolute agreement with that.

You said it at, you're poignant with your perspective. Absolute agreement. For the sake of a talk show, we are also indicating why ACPS and its school board has dragged its feet on this third-party investigation. Yeah. Because they know this is a Pandora's box of massive shitstorm. Yeah. Right?

Yeah, and from what I've, like I said, like I've said, I think a couple times today. There's, we've skimmed the pond scum off a tiny little space of the pond. And we need to send someone with scuba equipment to see what's still buried under the water. Judah, wig-cower, metaphorical and colorful language from the Jack of All Trace and the Jack of I'd give you a flying chest bump right now. You weren't such a... That was fantastic. but I think Virginia law on sovereign immunity is pretty strong. hard to sue a school's division, but what can sue individuals, principals, superintendents, school board members, etc. So tort claims are a no-go mostly. If this could be framed as a violation of federal law, constitutional rights, then that's a different story. Like if you could claim Swinney was allowed to abuse kids with disabilities, that's a violation of ADA or Section 504, then that could be claimed under federal law. As for a third-party investigator, I again suggest Tim Heif, Hefei. Hefe?

Help me with that last thing. I almost bought, my wife and I made an offer on Tim Hefe's house on Barracks Road before we purchased our home in Ivy. This was a couple of years ago. You remember that, sweetheart? That was a nice house on Barracks Road. Although that house, Tim Heifie's house on Barracks Road, now abuts to what is an apartment building that is being planned right there next to Meadowbrook Pharmacy.

So maybe sweetheart. heart we lucked out by not winning that offer. Maybe we lucked out. Deep Throat also adds, personally, if I were the parents, I tried to go the ADA Section 504 route. As to the investigation, don't hold your breath about it being different from the UVA investigations. First, if a law firm is hired, everything automatically becomes attorney-client, privilege. Ah, the school board doesn't have to hire a law firm to do this, but if it does, there's a tell. Second, if a law firm is hired, then the school board should make that none of the firm's associates or partners should make sure that none of the firm's associates or partners

have donated to any politician that represents Almore County in any capacity. That's a simple way to build at least a modicum of trust in the process. I didn't think about that. I don't know why we would, but um so he says if the school board so viewers and listeners did you hear that i didn't learn that so is he saying that we should hope that and that an organization besides acps hires the pays for the investigation no i think what he's saying and i'm inferring this through a comment on lincoln while also tracking content on 27 social media and podcasting channels at the same time i believe

what he is saying is if the school board hires a law firm that is an indication that the school board has is savvy enough or has been given the intelligence to hire a law firm because that

investigative report will then become attorney-client privilege and not privy to the public. Right and that's why which is then foreshadowing that that they're not going to redact what they don't want people to see. Which is foreshadowed.

that there's a lot of guilt there. That they have something to hide. Yeah. Which is why I asked, does that mean that we should make sure that the investigation is started by someone outside ACBS? And that's why the only, the leverage point we have as a community viewers and listeners is the leverage of public pressure. And the public pressure leverage, our only tool here should evidently demand that the school board not hire a law firm. So then my question would be if someone outside ACPS initiates the investigation, does that curtail how deeply the investigators can go into the school? Because if the school itself hires them.

No, no, I'll jump in. I apologize for interrupting you. The school board can still initiate a third-party relationship. Yeah. But perhaps it should not be with a law firm. School Board initiate a third-party relationship to investigate if they were authentic and honest and... They wouldn't choose... And integrity, people of integrity, choose someone where they then are not down the road going to hide under the bulletproof protection of attorney-client privilege. paying, you're contributing to the what 20, $20,000 to $25,000 per student in Amar County Public Schools to educate them? Yeah. Trust me, we would rather not, if we didn't have to, pay that money every year. But our children are our entire

this show is all fair, I'm going to do a deal analysis. And I'm going to compare and contrast the 2000 holiday drive purchase that soup to nuts is going to cost taxpayers right about $20 million. And that $20 million is going to lead, is going to yield 80 Coleman Cots for the homeless and 80 Yeti tumblers, the super tiny ones, not the big ones like I'm holding in my hand.

Okay. And I'm going to compare and contrast that to the Holiday Inn on Fifth Street extended, which soup to nuts is costed Riva hospitality, 10.8 million for the acquisition, and what they're saying is another 500,000 or so, 750,000 or so for some lipstick on the pig, taking their total skin in the game to 11.5 million. That 11.5 million at the Holiday Inn, Fifth Street extended, yields 71,000 square feet versus 2,000 holiday drive, 27,000 square feet. That Holiday Inn, yields 132 actual hotel rooms, versus 80 Coleman Cots,

and that holiday drive also includes a full-service restaurant, a business center with computers and printers, a laundry facility, a swimming pool, a check-in and checkout point, multiple lounge areas, and more than 150 parking spaces. Is the hotel interior or exterior?

You're saying are the rooms inside? Yeah. Oh, yeah. The rooms are inside. They're all inside. Oh, yeah, all inside. I used to live, I said this on yesterday's show, at the Villas at Southern Ridge for seven years, and then at Redfields for seven years on Rockledge Drive.

And that was before the Fifth Street extended, Fifth Street Station was built, right? And before I met my wife, and occasionally to wet the whistle, I would stop by at the restaurant and have a beverage or two at that restaurant. It was a fantastic place. It was always empty. Some of the best price points possible at that restaurant. So how do you see that working at a shelter? Wait, does a shelter need beds and rooms for people to sleep in?

Does a shelter need a place where its residents eat and drink meals? I would imagine. Does the shelter need a laundry facility? Probably. Does the shelter need a business. enter printers and computers to do resumes and try to get job employment opportunities. If they've got someone to watch the place, yeah. Does the shelter need maybe like an exercise or swimming pool, like an exercise facility or

a swimming pool or lounge areas? I would say no to the pool. How about close to the Rivana Trail? The pool. How about on a bus route? How about right next to Biscuit Run Park? About 150 parking spaces. How about not smack dab at the middle of a thriving business ecosystem or adjacent to one of the most important thoroughways or transitory arteries, the bypass?

I mean, my point I'm making here is City Council and Sam Sanders, when making the decision to purchase 2000 Holiday Drive, did they truly see the big picture? Did they see the big picture of purchasing Cavalier Crossing? they see the big picture of purchasing the holiday in. Yeah. Like this is a sign of leadership or lack thereof.
