Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey everybody, welcome to the White Mountain Ministry Show. I am your host, Nate Kibler. I thank you for watching, I thank you for listening, I thank you for praying, and I thank you for being a part of what the Lord is going to do through this show today. This ain't church, y'all, but this is all about the kingdom of God. We're going to have a good time on the show today, and I just want to say, from last week's show, we thank Sean Hurley again for joining us. It was an awesome show. Some of the feedback we've been getting, we had people that were instantly healed through the prayer time, the last 15 minutes of the show. So we do just want to thank God for new knees and all the things that he did on the show.
Starting point is 00:01:03 We thank him for new connections. And now we are going to focus on today. And so we are excited. Live on the set, my good friend, my brother, John Martin. He is here live from Troy, Ohio. Welcome to the show, John. Thank you so much. It's an honor to be here, brother.
Starting point is 00:01:20 Yeah. So I didn't just pick John off from Facebook or somewhere like that. You know, we do have a, a deep personal relationship. He is a brother and we actually met through Sean Hurley about five years ago when, when Sean was coming to speak and, and John has family in Charlottesville. And for the last five years, it's just been a, it's been a divine connection. It's been a beautiful relationship. Our family, our children are similar ages. They play sports together and they all love the Lord. Our wives are friends. And, you know, we're not just doing ministry. We're about the kingdom of God. We're about living life together. We talk about the real things. And so that's what we're
Starting point is 00:02:00 going to do today. We're going to have fun. We're going to share our relationship with you guys. And we're going to really go deeper into prayer and intimacy with the Lord. So, you know, Jesus says that eternal life is to know him. So that only makes sense that we are also called to have intimate relationships with each other. Right, John? Absolutely. Can you touch a little bit about that? Yeah, absolutely. So first of all, just it's an honor to be here, man. And I'm so excited just that the Lord has given you this show. I feel like it's a culmination of so many things we've been praying for and what God has been doing in your life. And yeah, so I knew you through Sean. And Sean was a huge inspiration in my life and teaching me and just what's possible through
Starting point is 00:02:45 prayer, that healing is possible through prayer, that even mental illness is possible through prayer. And I was watching Sean for a long time. I had him at my church when I was living in Chicago. And then when we first met, it was like instant connection. And I remember we were praying, you know, for just the issue with the triplets and then what God did through that and watch and being able to go through that, man, was beautiful and powerful and that just connected us even more and one other thing that I'll say is through you also there have been other just amazing connections and more miracles just so I think the kingdom of God is about connection and the kingdom of God is a family and so yeah so my name is John Martin my wife and I are the founder of Warrior House Ministries
Starting point is 00:03:25 around 2014 we were pastoring and doing some things and the Lord started putting on our heart that there's something else that he's called us to and we were called out of a large church and someone gave us a word and when they gave us the word the Lord just said you're going to start a ministry called Warrior House Ministries so I didn't even come up with that name the Lord kind of just gave us that name and I had no idea what he was going to lead us into going to start a ministry called Warrior House Ministries. So I didn't even come up with that name. The Lord kind of just gave us that name. And I had no idea what he was going to lead us into. And to make a long story short, in 2017, the Lord just said, just start having a meeting once a month. And so I started having a meeting once a month on Sunday night. It wasn't a typical church meeting. Didn't invite anyone. And he said, just show up. And for about two years, the Lord started teaching
Starting point is 00:04:05 me about the depths of prayer and what happens when we allow the Holy Spirit to just begin to lead our prayer life. So I just gained a passion for the church, not just to do church anymore, but actually get to experience intimacy with God. And I believe one of the most overlooked things that Jesus paid for was we get to have the same relationship with God that his son Jesus has. And that just blows me away anytime we think about that very fact that actually Jesus didn't pay for our sins to be forgiven so that we could go to heaven one day. Jesus paid for the fact that we get to experience the same intimacy in the same way that he knows the Father, we do too. And that journey just began to blow my understanding of what prayer was out of the window. And I just began to experience some unique things
Starting point is 00:04:57 in prayer. And that led us to start this ministry to really serve and power and bring the church to unity through the power of prayer, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Because I just believe that prayer is kind of like the foundation of everything that the church is supposed to do. We're not building a house. We're building a house on something, and that is a relationship with God. That's what brings us together. That's what cuts through all our misunderstandings. And that's ultimately, man, we're just about getting to know God in a real and tangible and experiential way. Amen. So that's just what my passion, my core passion is. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Thank you for sharing that. And so when you talk about this relationship with God, we hear so many kingdom people talk about the importance of the secret place, really spending alone, intimate time with God. Can you talk a little bit about the secret place, what that is, and maybe you can share some of what that even looks like for you. Amen. You know, so this really smart guy, one of Jesus' followers said, Jesus, I think that he watched a lot of Jesus' life, and he noticed that Jesus did something a lot. Jesus got away by himself. When no one else was looking, he would isolate himself, and he would pray a lot. Even before he made really important decisions, Jesus would pray even all night. And so I think one of those guys caught wind of that,
Starting point is 00:06:20 and he said, like, teacher, would you teach us how to pray because i think that guy noticed that that's the secret of everything that jesus was doing so thank god for that disciple that asked him that so a lot of people think the first thing uh that jesus taught us to pray is our father who are in heaven but actually it's not true the first thing that jesus taught us when he taught us how to pray was go somewhere and be by yourself and close the door. So a lot of people overlook that part because the foundation of prayer, we can talk about the great things and the way that prayer has changed and shaped history, but that's not the best part of prayer. The best and the most special part of prayer is that God created every human being for worship and for connection. And there's not any human being on this earth that can fulfill that connection.
Starting point is 00:07:11 So when you come a believer, God says, now, yes, now I get to show you who I am. Now I'm going to reveal myself to you. Now I get to show myself who you are. And that doesn't happen in a church setting. It doesn't happen in a communal setting. It happens when we get alone with God in an intimate and quiet place. And the truth is, brother, that like, you know, Nate, he desires that more than anything else is for us to get alone with him. He desires a relationship that's closer than our spouse, than our brother. And he wants to be the most powerful voice and power of transformation in our life. He wants to be worshiped.
Starting point is 00:07:48 He wants to change us. And he wants to father us into a new and beautiful life. So the foundation of prayer is getting alone with God, getting still, and just learning to shut down our natural senses and allowing our spiritual ears to open up. And we have something called the eyes of our heart. And when we learn to quiet our natural senses, God, like a baby coming out
Starting point is 00:08:12 of the womb and seeing for the first time, opens our spiritual senses. You know, when a baby's in a womb, he has eyes, but he can't see. And people say,'t hear from god i can't you you have this god gave you that all the spiritual senses to be able to experience him but it's kind of like they have to be opened so until we're willing to just get alone with god and understand that hey i don't even have to lead this thing i just have to wait on him and i promise you he's going to show up in that place and the holy spirit is going to make that connection real and powerful, just like the Holy Spirit made that connection real for Jesus when he was on the earth. So we get to have the same prayer life as Jesus did, which is pretty radical.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Yeah, it's amazing. Yeah. So when we talk about prayer, most of my Christian life, we bless the food before dinner. I said my prayer food before dinner. I said my prayers before bedtime. I didn't really know what prayer was. And there's a lot of us, as Christians, I don't think we really know what prayer is. We don't understand the power of prayer. And I think that many men, even within the church at times, we even look at prayer almost as being like for the women or maybe being soft.
Starting point is 00:09:30 If more men knew the true power of prayer, I think that we'd be turning off the sports shows and we'd be out praying. Man, we would. And the basis of understanding that is we live in a created world and the bible calls it the scene realm and the scene realm is temporary it when we look at the universe only four percent of matter can be seen so this scene realm the even what jesus says you know it counts for nothing it really doesn't You know why? Because there's an unseen realm. Jesus said the spirit gives life, that realm, the flesh counts for nothing. Paul said that this realm is temporary and there's another realm where everything that's temporary came from. So here's the cool thing about prayer is when we begin to pray being led by the Spirit, we're tapping into the eternal realm. And the eternal realm created this realm.
Starting point is 00:10:27 So the power of prayer is that we're tapping in to everything that created this realm and everything that formed this realm. So men of God in history, most of the intercessors in the Bible were men who were warring for the kingdom of God, beginning with Abraham, who pleaded for a city. He knew that through prayer that he could connect with God
Starting point is 00:10:47 and change God's heart about a matter in a city. So when we connect with God's heart in the realm that he lives, the spirit realm, we can actually change history. And prayer has shaped and changed history because men learned how to pray. They got alone with God. They grew in the spirit of prayer. They grew in the spirit just like Elijah, you know made the sun stop for a day made the rain stop for three years
Starting point is 00:11:11 prayer is the most powerful force in the universe because it taps into what we would call the unseen realm and when we tap into that realm there's the limits come off completely and so we can really make a difference for the kingdom of god in the earth amen so look this guy is as you can see he's packed with revelation he spent a lot of time with the lord take notes re-watch this share this because at the ecclesia we need to know the power and authority that we carry yeah and part a lot of today's show as i can see where the where the lord's going is is going to be you know teaching people how to pray yeah because it does matter how we pray right john the posture is everything it's not you know jesus i might have talked about this on another show already but jesus never said
Starting point is 00:12:02 you know pretty pleased with a cherry on top or a father if it's your will and and and a lot of times when we're praying it almost looks like we're begging yeah that's that's not now not how it should look though so we talked about this a little bit the scripture yeah and then maybe some of the misinterpretations of it. When Jesus said, to ask anything in his name and it will be done for you. Can you talk about that a little bit? Yeah, that's a huge thing that we don't understand in the church because we didn't understand what it means to take something or to do something in someone else's name. We think it means at the end of every prayer, at the beginning of the prayer, to say the words in the name of Jesus. But it really has nothing to do with that.
Starting point is 00:12:50 When Jesus said, if you ask anything in my name, it's going to happen. Like 100%. People, they go out and try something in the name. They may go out and pray for someone who's sick and they didn't get healed. Well, I did it in the name of Jesus. So Jesus must not be telling the truth. That has nothing to do with praying for something in Jesus name. Praying for something in Jesus name means that your heart has literally been transformed into his heart and his life is now living through yours. So your character, your thoughts, your emotion, your very being is found in the person of Jesus Christ. So Paul said this. He said that the mystery is this. Christ in us is the hope of glory.
Starting point is 00:13:32 So I asked if that's the secret to prayer and to the glory of God coming back to the earth. I remember one of the first times I was asking God to teach me how to pray. I asked him, I said, you know, God, if Christ in me is the hope of glory, I really don't even know what it means that you live in me. I know that you do live in me in my spirit, but I don't really feel it. I don't know it. Like, what does it mean to do things in your name, to live my life in your name, to carry your name? Because I don't want to live for your name in vain. I don't want to just go on living a normal life. So I spent a bunch of time on my couch, laying on my back, waiting for God to answer me. And do you know how he answered me,
Starting point is 00:14:09 Nate? He didn't answer me in words. He started to answer all my questions and experiences. And I thought, God, you are experiential God. So I waited and I pressed in, God, you're going to answer this question. I demand you to answer this question. What does it mean that you live in me? And I began to feel a fire like surround my body. And it was as tangible as me holding this water bottle, except more tangible. And I could feel fire like surround my body. I got up, I began to move around the room. And as I would move my hand, I could feel fire move. And he goes, this is your answer. And I'm like, you didn't give me an answer with words. You gave me an answer with an experience. And Nate, what's incredible is so many questions that I began to ask the Lord. The Lord began to answer me with experiential knowledge
Starting point is 00:14:56 or an experience that I would have with him in some way, shape or form that was so much power, more powerful than any words that he could ever give me. And I started to understand what Jesus said when he told his disciples. He was like, look, guys, there's so much that I want to teach you right now, but you don't have the capacity for that right now. But when I send you the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is going to lead you into all truth. Then he says, I'm going to be able to show you the Father plainly. Because without the Holy Spirit, the disciples couldn't be able to experience the Father like Jesus did. But once the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, the gift that they
Starting point is 00:15:36 were given was the ability through the Holy Spirit to experience the Father the way Jesus did. And God teaches us through experiences. I love the way God teaches us. It's like when you bring your kid to a ballgame or to dream, you love that. That's an experience that you guys build together. And in the place of prayer, God wants to build experiences with us that change our thoughts about him and change our life. He wants us to know that he's alive. He's not just an old man that we go meet in the throne room someday yeah he's alive he's with us now and and the thing is about you i feel holy spirit even when i say that and the thing about you and me john is that like our lives like we live in prayer yeah it's the foundation of so much of like your ministry of of your call, of what I do. I mean, we both intercede a lot.
Starting point is 00:16:26 We both pray over people a lot. You are more on the side of deeper intercession, right? I'm more of praying, like praying over people everywhere I go for years. That's more, you know. Which is a type of intercession. Exactly. I think you told me once is that, you know, inter is is literally when heaven strikes earth yeah and so when you pray for some people for healing and for for deliverance and and you know to encounter him but i guess what i wanted to touch on what you're
Starting point is 00:16:53 saying about his experience is that almost every person that i have ever prayed for yeah they get to encounter jesus they get to encounter the living God. And it's always, I never know exactly what the Holy Spirit is going to do when I pray, but it's always peace, joy, euphoria, completeness, wholeness. People will see visions. People that see light shine through their body. Tears. Chills. Heat. light shine through their body um tears yep chills heat i never know what he's going to do but you're going to experience him and there's something jesus said he said what you do in the quiet when
Starting point is 00:17:36 no one is looking you're going to get rewarded for in the open and so what's beautiful about that is what they're actually experiencing is they're experiencing your relationship with God. Yes. And you experience that when you pray. And the beauty is the reward is when you go and love people. Jesus gets to touch people through your body, through your and what you know about God. And that is my passion, is that I love spending time in the throne room of God. It says that we can boldly enter there. And so I've had experiences like that where I've just, I didn't know what to pray for somebody, but in my mind's eye and my heart and my imagination, I'll just take someone's hand and I'll take them with me to that place that I'm very familiar with. And guess what happens?
Starting point is 00:18:22 They have an encounter with the living God. I've had people sitting blinding light and being completely freaked out and overwhelmed. And I'm saying, it's okay. You're seeing the face of God. They're not seeing a face because he's pure light, but they're seeing bright light. I've seen things that we've not been able to get breakthrough in prayer for. People get healed of just by bringing them to the throne room because everything flows from the throne room the answer for everything is found in the heart of god the world was created out of the heart of god so i just encourage you guys it's kind of like david he king david said man i i'm going to pray until i become prayer i search my heart oh god give me a new heart what he wanted
Starting point is 00:19:01 so bad was to be a son like me and you our son and to have the holy spirit so he could experience god he was a man after god's own heart but you know what we get to actually experience because of jesus what he paid for we actually experienced what david wanted so bad was to be sons and actually experience the heart of god so when you pray for people they're just experiencing your relationship with Jesus. It's so beautiful. Yes, it is. And that's where the miraculous is.
Starting point is 00:19:29 So we were talking about this yesterday or two days ago, and I mentioned it, I think it was on the show last week. I made the comment, I said, the Bible doesn't tell you everything you need to know about the kingdom of God. And we talked about that a little bit. So can you maybe go into some scriptures where the Bible actually tells us that as well? Jesus said some
Starting point is 00:19:51 radical things that don't get talked about a lot. And he said things like, call no one on earth your teacher. Call no one on earth your father. He said, I'm going to come back and take you to be with me where I am. That's not talking about heaven. He says, if anyone, I mean, it is, but the place where we go one day. He says, if anyone wants to see the kingdom of God, he must be born again. If anyone's going to enter the kingdom of God, he's got to become like a little child. We take all those verses and we teach on them as if they're future tense. But I want to tell you right now, when you study those things out, he's saying that when I go to heaven and send the Holy Spirit,
Starting point is 00:20:31 that I'm going to come and take you to be with where I am now. Because he said this, he said, when it happens, you're going to believe that everything I'm saying is true. So when we get to heaven, we don't need to believe. He was letting them know what was going to happen in the spirit realm. And he's saying the Holy Spirit is going to be our teacher. The Holy Spirit is going to lead us to our Heavenly Father. And get the body of Christ gets to be mentored and taught in the school of the Holy Spirit together. And so even though we do glean from each other and learn from
Starting point is 00:20:58 each other, ultimately the experience comes when the Holy Spirit begins to teach us. So I do mentor people into prayer, but ultimately what I do is when I help people with their prayer life is I just get to know them a little bit. I listen to the Holy Spirit and I just help them to hear from the Holy Spirit and then he takes over. So my passion is to see people enter the school of the Holy Spirit and learn to hear from them because he'll take you into a place that's beyond words and he'll show you the Father playing his day so Jesus didn't want us to learn from each other so that we could be taught by the Father himself so that couldn't happen obviously until the Holy Spirit came so the whole you know the everything the Holy Spirit will never contradict scripture but the but the revelation of Jesus Christ,
Starting point is 00:21:45 the book of Revelation, is the revealing of who he is. And that's what the church is in process right now. The church is in process of the revelation of Jesus Christ. And this is the cool thing, Nate. When the church gets the full revelation of Jesus Christ, death will be defeated on the earth and Jesus will come again because the bride has conquered what Jesus paid for. And it all comes down to this. Hebrews says that everything of what Jesus paid for was put under his feet. But at the present time, we do not yet see everything put under his feet. So guess who gets to be the ones who give Jesus his reward and put everything under his feet and enforce his kingdom? We do. We do. We get to give Jesus his reward. I everything under his feet and enforce his kingdom. We do.
Starting point is 00:22:25 We do. We get to give Jesus his reward. I'm glad I answered that right. Yeah. It's a privilege and honor. We get to enforce, like police officers, heaven on earth. And when you pray for someone, you're removing a sickness that the enemy put in that person's life, and you're restoring it with the purpose of heaven.
Starting point is 00:22:42 That hand was made to move. And when it doesn't move right, you pray for that hand and what the enemy meant for evil turned into a blessing for that person. Yeah, we talk more, you know, even in more detail about like, how do we pray for people? And, you know, it's like, we have to know that we're speaking over someone for, you know,
Starting point is 00:23:01 healing or whatever it is. We speak, God spoke the heavens and the earth into existence. He did. So we have to know that when we give our life to him, his spirit, he becomes one with us. And when we're praying for people, we don't pray with hope. We're praying with faith and expectancy
Starting point is 00:23:17 because Jesus is there. And we know that our voice is his voice. Our breath is his breath. Our touch is his touch yeah and and that's not arrogance no that's called knowing who you are they're called knowing who he is in us and it's just it's a beautiful thing yeah i'm crucified with christ i no longer live but he lives in me the life that i'm living now is by the faith of the son of god so we literally get to operate
Starting point is 00:23:45 in the same way that Jesus walked on the earth and even greater. And there's no separation. So you're exactly right. So you talked about this at the very beginning, but why do we pray over cities? Why do we pray for territories? Why do we pray for these things?
Starting point is 00:24:05 Some people would say, well, your prayers aren't really going to do anything. Well, God called his people as a kingdom, and a kingdom of priests and a nation. And our nation is not of this world. Our nation is of his world, and there's two things that are becoming one. And the way that they're becoming one is through the the ministry of intercession and ruling and reigning yeah tell
Starting point is 00:24:30 us more about deeper intercession absolutely absolutely so so first thing i'll say is every war that has been fought in history has been the way that it's gone and the miraculous things that have happened in wars and cultures and nation have been shaped by people who pray. And we're not going to go into that, but we can go into stories where something looked like where there was no hope and someone began to pray and it was completely turned around. But the Bible says very clearly that the earth belongs to the Lord and everything within the Lord belongs to him. But you know what it also says in Psalms? It says, and this is kind of the verse that we base everything on, it says that the heavens belong to the Lord and the earth he's given to the sons of man. So how do we reconcile those two things?
Starting point is 00:25:16 Well, we know in Genesis 1.28 that he gave man dominion over three realms, the realms of the birds, which is the realm of the air, the land under the sea, which is underneath, which is actually the demonic realm. You found that in your Bible, right? Oh, yeah. It's not just birds, animals, and things under the sea. There's something greater. They're called realms. Genesis introduces different kinds of realms.
Starting point is 00:25:38 Paul introduced different kinds of realms. He said, I got caught up in the third heaven. Why did he call it the third heaven? Because there must be a first heaven. There must be a second heaven. And really, the second heaven is Why did he call it the third heaven? Because there must be a first heaven. There must be a second heaven. And really the second heaven is where the battles fought for the earth. And so we reconcile the fact that everything in the earth belongs to the Lord, but he gave it to us to steward. And we lost, we gave the keys to the enemy when we sinned, but Jesus took those keys back. He didn't take those keys with us to heaven, Nate.
Starting point is 00:26:03 He gave those keys to me and you to use to unlock us to heaven nate he gave those keys amen to me and you to use to unlock heaven on earth so as we get a revelation of what heaven is about we carry that revelation with us and we release it we destroy the things that the devil did on the earth and we restore god's purpose for the thing so when jesus went into the temple what did he do he wiped out the things that the devil was doing in the temple, the money changers, the selfish greed, what was going on. And he said he wiped them out. He destroyed them. Just like he cursed the fig tree, he cursed what was going on in that temple. And it was violent. He went around with a whip. Jesus made a whip and did some stuff.
Starting point is 00:26:41 And then he said, this is my father's's house and my father's house will be a house of prayer for all nations so he restored the identity of the temple as a place where people could come and encounter god and jesus demonstrated what intercession looks like an intercession intercession is war intercession is war and that's not with flesh and blood right it is and and that's where we're removing those things that have taken up residence and replacing them with the kingdom of God and angels and godly authorities. And that will affect everything that happens in a nation, in a place, and in your family. John said he wouldn't get too deep today, but he can't help himself. I'm sorry. It's just
Starting point is 00:27:23 who he is. So thank you. So good. Guys, if you're watching, whether it's live or not, if you're being blessed by this, people need to hear this. Share the link to the show so more people can view this. You know, we're not on necessarily a platform that has 5 million viewers. So share it so more people can can can support and see what we're doing all right so all right very interesting we have people of course that pray for this show pray for what's going on here and so somebody who intercedes for our show reached out
Starting point is 00:27:58 this morning and i thought this was really good said, the little things matter in the kingdom. What may appear small to the world is large in the kingdom. And we talk about God cares about the details. He cares about the little things in our life. And sometimes even I have been prone at times to be like, I'm not sure that God cares about that. And so when he wrote this to us today, I know it impacted you with some things that he, he said, but, um, you know, for me personally, it took me back to a place of, of the little things and where that matters in the kingdom of God. So about three years ago now, the Lord called my wife and I to sell our house. We had three one-year-old children at the time. We had infant triplets. And, you know, he told us we owned a piece of property. We thought that we'd
Starting point is 00:28:52 be building like years down the line, but he said, no, it's time now. And I was like, oh goodness, Lord, really? And who knows that the Lord has been calling people throughout history to build. He called Noah to build the ark. We talk about the ark of the covenant. We talk about the Solomon's temple. There's something about stepping out in faith, trusting the Lord, and doing things that don't seem possible and probably maybe at times aren't even possible in our own strength, right? Yeah. don't seem possible and probably maybe at times aren't even possible in our own strength right yeah prayer and i love that use the word build because that's so prophetic what the lord had you do he had you build from the ground up something from scratch and the kicker is too
Starting point is 00:29:35 i am like the guy that has a hard time turning on a light bulb like changing out a light bulb and he's like not only are you going to build a house but like you Nathan are going to build the house you are going to be the general contract that is insane to do something that you had no idea doing and you had to trust in the Lord for and you know that prayer is literally building something and in in the place of prayer we're building literally the kingdom of God and prayer is building so the Bible says something real quick. It says that we're growing from glory to glory. So you and I carry something called an atmosphere. Yes. And that atmosphere contains everything we believe, everything we know about the kingdom, the revelation of who Jesus is. So when we pray that glory and that atmosphere grows
Starting point is 00:30:20 and builds in the place of being alone with God. And we get to carry that atmosphere everywhere we go. And it's called shining. Yes. And so called to be a light. Yeah. We get to go and shine in places of darkness. So I love this, that, that you used, you know, that word build, because that's exactly what we get alone with God. And when we pray together in the church and that, that we build something together together. And God has called us to a life that is out. There's no way we could live it without him. Everything that he's called us to is impossible to do in our own strength. You know, when the church, when the church got in trouble, they were receiving some persecution in Acts 4. They stopped everything they were doing.
Starting point is 00:31:01 They got together and they prayed. And for a while, they waited on the Lord until he showed up because it says the place where they prayed was shaken. And they waited for that help to come so that they could go out boldly and preach the gospel and win souls supernaturally with the help of the Holy Spirit
Starting point is 00:31:19 and signs and wonders and miracles would follow them. So, you know, whenever, I encourage you guys, just whenever you feel stuck whenever you don't in a place where you don't know what you're supposed to do there's something called waiting on the lord and the bible says those that wait on the lord will eventually soar as as wings on eagles so one of the deepest things and strategies for prayer that's also the most hardest for people is waiting on the Lord. We're a give it to me now, instant gratification. What can you do for me today, Lord Genie, in a bottle, right?
Starting point is 00:31:57 Because people understand that when your hair grows, do you feel it? No, because I don't have hair on my head. And neither do you. So I don't know if either one of us feel it. Sometimes I because I don't have hair on my head. And neither do you. So I don't know if either one of us feel it. Sometimes I forget to shave my head, right? But I look in the mirror, like after three or four days, and I'm like, oh, I forgot I need to shave my head. It's like all my bald spots are showing. Right?
Starting point is 00:32:16 And so we don't feel hair grow, but prayer is like that. When we sit alone with God, there's something happening. There's something happening. There's something happening. And so, I mean, I remember one of the first times I saw an answer to prayer, and I was just waiting on God. I was like, God, you're going to do something for this person tomorrow because it's the last time I'm going to see them, and you're going to do something. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:32:37 But I waited and waited and waited. I felt God show up. I felt God release a dream to that person. Guess what happened? That night, that person had a dream. But if I were to quit when I didn't feel anything, then nothing would have happened. So we have to be persistent in prayer because God wants to know we're serious. He wants to know we're serious about him and he wants to know that he has first place. So when we're waiting on God,
Starting point is 00:33:00 he's going to show up. He's going to begin to teach you how to pray. But you've got to get over that hump of learning to be still and waiting on him to show up. Yes. No, it's good. So I'm going to go back to the house because we're talking about the details. Yeah. And, like, there's so many details in a house. When you build a house, it's unbelievable. And so we got near the end of the project.
Starting point is 00:33:22 And here's what I also want to say. Just because the Lord calls you to do something and you know it's the Lord, it definitely does not mean that it's going to be easy. And a lot of times he will call you to do things that are challenging. And just because I wasn't a GC and the Lord got us through the project, but these are the areas where you really learn to trust him in all areas of your life. So we get to the end of the house. I was actually in your conference, your intercession conference in Ohio last summer. And guys, plug the conference really quick for people who would want to come. So once a year, we host an international intercession conference. And all I can say is it'll bring you to an experience that you've probably never had in the lord because the glory that shows up in this conference is incredible we don't do typical worship uh we worship in the spirit and the lord releases songs and in beautiful spirit
Starting point is 00:34:16 and angels and it's just incredible so i don't i but we're bringing international intercessors to come yes i could talk about it for too long but july 12th through 13th in west milton ohio if you go to warriorhouseministries.com and look under events we're going to do two days of just being with jesus in his presence all day long and when you give two days to jesus man the things that happen he uses that time and he does more than we can ask or imagine and the secret is this is we give him the time. Yes. We don't plan what's going to happen during the time. We give him the time. And I'm going to ask, when I finish sharing about the house,
Starting point is 00:34:51 I'm going to ask you one more question before we bring on another special guest. Very special guest. Yes. And I'm going to touch on something that deeply impacted me from your conference last year that helped transform, take my walk to another level. So it's not just going to hang out. It's going to really bring something back so that the territories that the Lord is calling you to take over, you're going to come back with more ammunition, more revelation, more fire. So we build this house. We get to the
Starting point is 00:35:22 end. I'm at the conference. One of the last things we're doing is putting in our slabs for our countertops in our kitchen. And you guys have seen our kitchen. It's like the focal point of our house. It is. Well, these guys, right before we're supposed to put it in, they dropped the ball. The counters that were reserved in our name, they ended up letting them go, and somebody else bought our counters. Wow. And my wife was very particular about these counters and she was heartbroken. She was freaking out. And, um,
Starting point is 00:35:50 I just said, well, we're already going with them now. So we're going to have to get what we can get more or less. But my wife is very persistent. She said, no. And I said, well, here's the deal. I'm going to be at this conference for three days. If I come back and you found someone that can get us the counters you want at the same price or better and done and installed in the next week so we can move into this house, you have at it, honey. In my mind, I'm thinking, yeah, that's not going to happen. But the Lord was with us building this house. He was with my wife building this house and he cares about the details. So not only was she able and our friend Louie, who was at the conference, he had a vision and the Lord showed him what the counters were going to look like. I told my wife about it. She said, no, I don't, that's not
Starting point is 00:36:36 what I want. I said, okay, well, this is what he saw. She finds a new fabricator. She goes up to Northern Virginia. She sends me a picture. She said, I love it. Oh, my goodness. And it wasn't what we were originally getting. Yeah. But it was the same vision that Louie saw. Wow. And it got surprised her.
Starting point is 00:37:00 For the counters. Yeah. She got it at a better price. Yeah. It was originally a type of countertop that we were getting quartzite. It was a type of countertop that she did not think we could afford, that we were not going to be able to have. And so they get ready to install these counters.
Starting point is 00:37:17 And I said, well, what's it called? She said, it's called Mont Blanc. I said, okay. She said, in French, it means white mountain. You've seen our house. Everything in our house is white, almost to a fault. The inside paint, the exterior paint, it's all white. And every single room in our house looks out to the mountains.
Starting point is 00:37:40 If there were two words that I would use to describe our house, and I have the Holy Spirit all over all over sharing this would be white mountain yeah so he goes to the the final detail of the project and he just made it all work and he showed us he was with us the whole time and if you haven't figured it out not only did we name our home white mountain but that's also the name of our ministry you know and you made a sacrifice. You had no business coming up to Ohio last year at the end when your house was being built. And I want to say this, God honors our sacrifices. And that's called an altar of prayer. The altar in the Bible represents sacrifice in exchange. And God is not calling us to build physical altars. We are the altar and whatever we're
Starting point is 00:38:27 willing to give up, he will replace with something so better. So you entered the realm of eternal for three days. You came to a conference and entered the realm of eternal. And guess what happened? Everything that needed to be taken care of in the natural got taken care of. But guess what? It got taken care of in a way that was better than you could ever imagine. So good. And that's that principle of seek first the kingdom of God, and he'll take care of everything else. And the way that he takes care of everything else is better than we could have taken care of it ourselves. And obedience.
Starting point is 00:38:58 It's obedience. And Samuel tells us that obedience is greater than sacrifice. Yeah. But obedience through sacrifice can change the world that's what jesus did obedience through sacrifice yeah so altar man build an altar of prayer in your life and you'll be amazed at what god can that's so good yeah so uh one thing we're going to touch on one more i knew that the show would fly it's flying and it is so we're flying oh you're coming on we We have a nervous Nelly.
Starting point is 00:39:26 We have a powerful prayer warrior coming on. But hey, so one of the things, and I had heard this over the years, but it just really didn't click with me until your conference. And one of the things that I carried back with me, the Lord's been teaching me so much about in the last year, is the sound that we carry. The sound that we carry. So if you can talk about the sound that we carry
Starting point is 00:39:47 and maybe even how that relates directly to our prayers, that'd be great. Really powerful. So our sound is actually unique. I mean, it goes so deep to the point where each of the organs in your body make a certain frequency and that frequency makes an orchestra. And when that orchestra is operating really good,
Starting point is 00:40:04 your body is in perfect health. And the sound that you make is different than the sound of i make when the israelites were marching around jericho it wasn't the trumpet that knocked down the walls it was the shout yes this it was the sound that knocked down the walls that that defeated jericho and so when we learn to release our unique sound, and that's where sound is so powerful. No one can release your sound. No one can release my sound. But each of us have a sound. And again, it moves beyond the realm of our words. And it's literally releasing the Christ within us. When we learn to roar with the roar of King Jesus in us, when we learn to cry out and make a noise from our heart, connecting our heart to our mouth, it doesn't matter what we say.
Starting point is 00:40:56 It can sound like anything. But when Christ who lives in our heart connects with our mouth, and we learn to let go of being self-conscious and understand that we can actually become so Christ-conscious that we don't care how stupid we look, how silly we look, that what God wants to get done, the person who's dying because they don't know, the person who's going to hell because they don't know Jesus,
Starting point is 00:41:19 they need to meet Jesus so badly. When God's heart for that person touches you and you release a sound, you release an encounter for that person. You release, I mean, people are encountering the Lord all over the world, especially in the Middle East through dreams, through encountering the person of Jesus Christ. That doesn't just happen. It comes because someone is crying out for that land, crying out for that nation, and crying out for Jesus to reveal himself. And when we do that in the earth, heaven begins to come.
Starting point is 00:41:50 And it's a sound that the angels know, and it's the sound of Christ in us, and they connect their sound to it, and God loves that sound. He loves the sound that he put in us to release, to roll into rain on the earth, because God put it in us. And he gets a sense of pride when we it in us. Thank you, John.
Starting point is 00:42:05 He gets a sense of pride when we release ourselves. You've been amazing. You've been a blessing. And so a couple little things really quick. And then right before we bring on our next guest, I have in bold letters. You said you'll be mad if I forget to do this. You're going to really quickly pray for the city. Yes.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Thank you for reminding me. Guys, share the show. Subscribe to our quickly pray for the city. Yes. Thank you for reminding me. Guys, share the show. Subscribe to our White Mountain Ministries page. We actually need to get apparently 50 subscribers. We're streaming to a lot of different things. We put it on YouTube, but to also be able to stream live from YouTube, we have to have at least 50 subscribers. So subscribe to the White Mountain Ministries show. And as you can see on, I can't see it myself,
Starting point is 00:42:46 but my man Judah over here, he has been doing a good job today. And you see the White Mountain Ministry logos at the bottom of the screen. Those are also meant to have sponsor names on there. And as you can see, you still have the ability to be the first official sponsor of the White Mountain Ministry show, represent the kingdom,
Starting point is 00:43:04 represent ministries in charlottesville virginia so we would love to ask for your support you see the links on there for the venmo and the paypal as well are they on there judah have they been there at all through the show yeah okay awesome so pray for the city and we're going to bring this young lady on with us please sponsor the show because even just by talking about the things of god we're releasing the things of god and it's going to bless this And it's going to bless this city. It's going to bless the state. So let's just join together in prayer for Charlottesville and for the state of Virginia and for the United States. Lord, we come to you in the name of Jesus. And we ask, Lord, that you would just give us your heart right now
Starting point is 00:43:38 for this city so that we can release it. Yeah, Holy Spirit, I just see the beauty of this land and the way you created this land, the mountains, the valleys, the hills, the foothills. We see the history of the state of this place. We see that presidents once met here and convened about planning for the country. So Lord, I just declare in the name of Jesus that this is a place where spiritual giants,
Starting point is 00:44:10 spiritual rulers in the kingdom will meet together and they will plan and declare and worship together and they will release the purposes of Virginia and this nation and this city. I see it as a place of planning and releasing the purposes of the kingdom of God. So we bind in the city. I see it as a place of planning and releasing the purposes of the kingdom of God. So we bind in the name of Jesus the purposes of the enemy and what the enemy has done here. We bind it in the name of Jesus and we cancel the enemy's assignment for Charlottesville,
Starting point is 00:44:39 for Virginia, and for this nation in the name of Jesus. We cancel that assignment. Yes. And we release the purposes of this land to be a kingdom of priests, to be a holy nation, to be a house of prayer that hosts the presence of God. So I release the presence of God into this beautiful city. I release the presence of God and the peace of God and the shalom of our Father God into this beautiful city
Starting point is 00:45:06 that we call Charlottesville. And we say that Charlottesville is a blessed city and will be used for the purposes of God, not the purposes of the enemy in Jesus name. All right. Thank you. Hey, so thank you for blessing the city. And that's also a beautiful illustration of what prayer looks and sounds like. and that's you know so much of the show so we are about to bring on i don't know if she's live on the set but we are going to bring john martin's better half miss mrs linda martin she's much prettier than you and i john has a much better hair i bet you she probably can even feel her hair. I'm a blessed man. But so is she on yet Judah? Okay. All right. So Ms. Linda is live and Linda, I know that, uh, look, being on TV, having your face
Starting point is 00:45:54 seen for people and to be intimate and vulnerable and, and, and share your testimony. Um, I know that that's not easy, but it's very powerful. And so I've known, you know, of course, Linda for a long time as well. And, um, you know, when the, the, the word that the Lord gave me when they got here this weekend is this is going to be a weekend of risks for you. And sure enough, on Saturday, her and John were going to preach at the heart of the home and, and, and share, uh, she was going to be sharing on, uh, traveling in the spirit. And she called me, she said, cause I had to drive separate. And she said, Nate, she said, are you going back to your house? I said, no. Why? She said, because I left and forgot all my notes and my journal and she was freaking out, but it was okay because you know
Starting point is 00:46:37 what? You shared your testimony. It was amazing. It was powerful. And, and the Lord showed you that it's, it's not, it's good to be prepared, but in those moments, he's with you and he's going to shine through you. And so she shared some things at our house the other day that I had not heard her share before. And I said, this needs to be shared. And even in my mind at that moment, I didn't think that she was going to come on the show, but then yesterday in the shower, the Lord often speaks to me in the shower and he said, Linda's supposed to share her testimony on the show. Come on.
Starting point is 00:47:07 And so this is a weekend of risk. She's nervous. But you know what? You're going to be amazing. And just be you. And we love you, and we're here with you. So, Linda, you take over. Thank you, Nate.
Starting point is 00:47:23 All right. So, yes, he asked me to share my testimony, and I never said yes, but here I am. The Lord said yes for you. Yes, the Lord said yes. So I just want to talk about my story. So my name is Linda Martin, and I was born and raised in Chicago. My parents came from Columbia, and they met in Chicago when they were in high school. And my father from a young age was introduced to drugs and was kind of forced into that drug lifestyle from the age of 11. And my parents ended up, though they were both from Columbia, they actually met in high school. And in high school, my mother got pregnant at 15.
Starting point is 00:48:10 And by the grace of God, she decided to keep me, and here I am. However, my father was very heavily in that drug life. He became kind of the drug runner for the family. But when he realized that my mother was pregnant and when I was born, he decided that he didn't want that life anymore. And so he had one last drug transaction to do, I guess. And he had saved money to take me and my mom and start a new life. Unfortunately, he was actually set up by the very same people that introduced him to drugs. And he was sent to prison and took the fall for the whole family, essentially. And so when I was two years old, that's when it all happened. He was sent to
Starting point is 00:49:08 prison. I, as a little girl, never knew that my father was in prison. So on weekends, my grandmother basically raised me because my mom was a single mother at that point now and she was working and doing everything that she could to raise me and take care of our family and so my grandmother kind of just took me under her wing and so on Saturdays we would go visit my dad and it was like this big community space and I would go and spend time with my dad and like said, I didn't know that this was like a prison, a prison place. And so as a little girl, I looked forward to every Saturday going and visiting my father. And I just remember those times of, of being with him and spending time with him. And he was just the most amazing person to me. And right. And I didn't know, I didn't know about his life at that, at that time, but to me, my father was my
Starting point is 00:50:15 world and, and I was his. And so every Saturday when we would go, we would, we would play games and we would dance and we would, and I would just sit on his lap. I just love those beautiful moments like sitting on my daddy's lap. It's like every Saturday, and when we would have to say goodbye, it was like the worst time for us. We would both cry, and I would just count the days until that next Saturday where I could see him. And so this went on for five years where my grandmother would take me and we would go visit him on Saturdays. And so the day came where his sentence was complete and I was
Starting point is 00:51:01 no longer going to be able to see my dad anymore. And this completely confused me because everyone was saying, okay, you have to say goodbye to your dad. And so they're like, you're not going to see him anymore. We're not coming back on Saturdays anymore. And I was seven years old, and this completely shattered me. And they're like, okay, say goodbye to your dad. And there was guards all around us. And I just remember, like, screaming and crying and holding on to my daddy's legs and saying, no, like, don't leave. Don't leave me, daddy.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Don't go. Don't go. And as he was being pulled away and I was being pulled away, it was the most traumatic moment in my life where I had to say goodbye to my father. And I was very confused and didn't know what was going on. And I remember in that very moment that my whole world just shattered. Like everything that I thought I knew was just kind of gone. And I felt like everything had fallen apart and so he went back to Columbia he was deported back to Columbia and I just kind of kept a relationship through phone calls with my grandmother who his mother and but
Starting point is 00:52:22 then when she passed away in sixth grade it was like that connection was lost and it was very hard for me as a young girl growing up without my father and obviously I'm just going to be real and say the enemy definitely used that to bring a lot of wounds and I felt completely abandoned, isolated, alone, even though I had an amazing mother and an amazing stepdad, right? And in my heart, I was, I had a lot of anger in towards my stepdad, not because anything he did, but because it was just something that I feel like the enemy kind of snuck in, was this hatred and anger as a little girl. And so I grew up feeling abandoned, like my father chose drugs over me, feeling completely isolated and just desperate.
Starting point is 00:53:19 And so in high school, I really emerged myself in sports and friends and popularity and drinking and partying and just kind of try to avoid this empty feeling inside my heart. And so I got into an abusive relationship, which then eventually led to a lot of self-hatred already and not being able to have my dad. I just wanted love. Like I really wanted genuine love. I wanted to be loved. And when I realized that though I was surrounded by so many people, right, so many people, I was popular, all all these things I felt so alone and so desperate and like I knew that there was something more but I didn't know what to do about it and so in my life I decided well I've I've come this far and I I feel like I have nothing left to give I have nothing left I've been abused and you know abandoned and. And so what is the point of living?
Starting point is 00:54:26 And so I decided that at that moment that I was just took a weapon of destruction and I was going to end my life. And so God in his amazingness and just, he's just awesome. He intervened in the most unconventional way. And he actually had a coach slash mentor reach out to me in the middle of the night when that shouldn't even have been a possibility. I was about to end my life and my flip phone goes off. And he's inviting me to this sports camp, which I thought was a sports camp, but it actually was a Christian retreat. And he sets it all up. He's like, you should go. There's going to be a lot of young people.
Starting point is 00:55:08 It's going to be amazing. Anyways, fast forward. I go to this thing. It's not a sports camp. It's a church conference. And he's like, yeah, I forgot to mention that this is like a religious thing. And so I'm like stuck, surrounded by all these people. I'm like surrounded by all these people not knowing what to do.
Starting point is 00:55:26 I'm feeling like obviously guilty and weird because I was just trying to end my life. And here I am around like all these like holy people. And I just had no idea. But God was working. God was doing something. And I end up being in the small group where my future husband was in. And he was leading that small group. And how I even got there was weird. Yes. And so he was leading that small group. And how I even got
Starting point is 00:55:45 there was weird. Yes. And so he was in that small group. He was a group leader and the Holy Spirit just started talking to him, like focus on the scripture. He gave him specific scriptures to minister to my heart and that we study the Samaritan woman. Fast forward, we did a couple of Bible studies together and we went into 1 Corinthians, where it talks about your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. And we also went into Luke 7, where this immoral woman went into this place where Jesus was, and she was weeping, and she was broken and wounded, and she was on her face kissing the feet of Jesus, weeping and washing his feet with her hair. And that is what ministered to my heart because here I was a broken and wounded
Starting point is 00:56:32 and hurt, immoral, sinful woman. And here Jesus looks at her and says, your sins are forgiven. So I go home that night at nine o'clock. We get, I get home, I close my bedroom door and the Holy Spirit comes on me so strongly and knocks me to my face. I, as soon as I close the door, I'm just on my face wailing and weeping from 9 PM till five in the morning the next day. And I'm just crying and I'm repenting and I'm giving my life to Jesus and Jesus shows up and he takes me to the cross and he says this was for you and he takes me to these places and he shows me that he died for me he shows me that I've been forgiven and everything was just I was made new I was given new eyes like my soul was just being cleansed and washed, and my spirit became one with him.
Starting point is 00:57:27 And at that moment, I just received the Holy Spirit. And I went to work at 5 in the morning, and I was like the Samaritan woman, and I told everyone, you have to know this Jesus that I encountered last night. This Jesus changed my life. He made me new. He washed me clean. And there was this beautiful, intimate, and I became the woman. I became the woman in scripture who was wailing at the feet of Jesus,
Starting point is 00:57:51 wiping his feet with my tears and my hair. And he looked at me and he says, my daughter, your sins are forgiven. You are made clean. And that was my encounter with Jesus. Perfect timing.
