Welcome to the White Mountain Ministry Show. I am your host Nate Kibler. I thank you for
being with us today, for praying, for watching, for listening, being part of what the Lord
is going to do through this show today. Hey John, this ain't church y'all. It is all
about the kingdom of God. I'm excited for our guest. Man, I've been off, the show has
been off for a couple weeks. We were on vacation. We were at the beach. So there's so much to
talk about. I'm excited. I've been, this is Holy Week. I've been in
fasting and prayer. I feel like I've been in the spirit all day. I have an in-person
guest, which we love to have guests in studio. John, I had the nice, I had the nice say
that's close. I had on a C. I had on a C. It's okay though. Goodness gracious. It might
take me a lot longer to get that one right. But also man, become my friend and excited to have him
in the studio. We will introduce him in just a minute. There's a couple things I
want to talk about. We just thank you guys again for watching. Comment, be a
part of the show with us today. Share it. That's one of the best things that you
guys can do to help the show. That's how people are watching the show all around
the world. So just please share the show if you're being blessed by it
it helps us out a lot and
So I want to share a quick testimony before I introduce John and then just a couple of logistical things as well
I do want to say that this Sunday
I will be ministering and preaching at the heart of the home in Timberville, Virginia
It is not going to be church y'all. It's gonna be a, the Lord has some surprises in store.
So I'm really excited for Sunday.
Breakfast is at 9.30 and the service starts at 10.30.
So if you're looking for somewhere to go on Sunday,
if you're between churches or you just wanna
be a part of something I believe special
the Lord is gonna do on Sunday,
come over to the heart of the home.
And oh, we will be going to Costa Rica soon.
We're gonna be bringing a team back to Costa Rica soon.
So we would love it if you feel led to be praying
and interceding for our team of eight.
We have people that are coming from all over the country
on this trip and we are just excited to be back
in the country and the people that I love,
the food, just I love Costa Rica
and we're just honored to go back
and to just be a light for the kingdom of God.
All right, so usually talk about sponsors around this time.
So we're gonna get into the sponsorships
in a different way because we have a sponsorship story.
It's a kingdom and a supernatural story
which excites me to share.
And I won't say the name of the client,
even though they did give me permission to share, I won't share the name, but I found out today that John
and I actually both know these people. There's not too many mutual friends that we have because
John has been in this area a very short amount of time. But anyway, so our sponsor of this
show, Melanie Morris, Opening Doors Real Estate, they've been a sponsor for a number of months now, probably four or five months, and what they had committed to was close to running out. And I
remember thinking to myself, well, they've been a blessing to us, but I'm not really sure that
we've been a blessing to them. I don't know if they've gotten any business out of this,
nothing that I had heard of, but we were just grateful that they were wanting to be part of the show. And I had just been thinking that and then someone,
a friend of the show, reached out to me on Facebook and said, hey those keys up
there, they said, is that a real estate company? And I said, yes it is. And she
said, what is their name? I said, it's Melanie Morris at Opening Doors Real
Estate. And come to find out she saw the keys. It just reminded her of the kingdom
of God.
They're a Christian family.
They had a property that they were looking to purchase,
but it was a very last minute thing.
There were already, there were multiple offers
that had come on this piece of property within 24 hours.
And she reached out and I'm just paraphrasing
because I don't know the whole story,
but I know that she reached out to Melanie.
They met within 24 hours.
They put in an offer.
There were, I believe, five or six other offers, and some of them were even more favorable
offers.
But the sellers said that for whatever reason, it was on their heart to sell the property
to this person who was connected through the White Mountain Ministry Show and Opening Doors
Real Estate. So I just want to say, and I believe it from from the beginning there was favor. Jerry Miller's coming to give me five.
Isn't that awesome story? That is awesome. So just you know just grateful to Melanie for taking a leap of faith and
and you know
representing and being a sponsor for this show and now
it's coming back to her and her business and her family.
And so it's just a beautiful story and I know that my understanding is they will be closing
on that soon.
So favor for Melanie, favor for opening doors.
Jerry is excited.
He doesn't give me too many high fives, but he's a real estate guy and you know that not
every day does a seller take a lower offer with less favorable terms.
Yeah, so that's the kingdom of God, that's favor.
So, here's gonna be more common Melanie, so bless you.
All right, so that's it, cool testimony to start a show.
Judah, whenever you want to get John on the screen,
we are ready for his beautiful face.
What's up John, you're live.
Good to see you.
Yeah, you too brother, thanks for coming on with us.
Absolutely, I've heard a lot about the show. Well I hope you've
seen some of them. I have yeah. I remember we talked about Paul Young and getting him on is a
is a feat unto itself but. That is a very interesting one that William Paul
Young was actually a mutual friend or acquaintance of both of ours. I was not
expecting that at all. That was a good conversation too. And it's one of the things about this show that I like
in that you talk about things in a meaningful
and practical way, not just in a theory or theoretical way.
And the world needs that now.
Yeah, well, we're walking this out.
Jesus is alive, testimony is important.
It's a big part of this show.
And you know this for probably months after the Lord set me free. I really had no idea how to
really share the gospel. I had very little theology or biblical you know
scripture knowledge but what I realized now was that when I was sharing my
testimony of what Jesus did in my life, like it came alive. Like I was sharing
the gospel in a unique way that nobody else could really share it but it was
powerful and it was touching lives. So I would like to hear a little bit about your testimony.
I don't know where you're going to go with it, but I know that you're new to Charlottesville within
like the last year or so, right? That's right. Yep. Moved from Texas, was in Texas for
almost eight years. Was sent down there, started a different company down there
that deals with influencer marketing and then really moved up into this region to
take more of an interest and move towards working in defense and that's
what I'm doing now. I had been around this industry for quite some time but
yeah it's been a good adjustment. I like being out here in the rural area.
We have two beautiful daughters now and watching them engage
with the wilderness as opposed to the city is something
that we're excited with.
The wilderness.
Sometimes it does feel like you're
in the wilderness in County, doesn't it?
That's right.
I love it though.
I love it.
You know, traffic is not nowhere near a big city, Not yet. Anyways, not even on the weekends, but
Yeah, it's it's it's been a good experience so far. Chris Beck watching love you Chris. Chris Roberts watching Shane Lilly watching
former guests of our show love you guys and
yeah, so
The way that we met was supernatural it was divine. I believe it was a divine connection.
Our mutual friend Diana, she reached out to me
and we had had some encounters throughout the years
and she basically said, you know,
there's this guy that's moved into Greene County
and he reminds me of you.
And she meant that spiritually.
And in my world, in this small town,
with all due respect, it's not a lot of people
that remind me of me spiritually.
And so for her to say that, I said, okay.
She knew a lot about my walk.
I said, I'd like to meet this guy.
What does that mean?
Like, this guy must be a freak show?
I mean, I guess it depends on who you're asking.
No, look, she said the same thing to me.
She said, are you going to meet this guy, Nate?
And I was like, why?
She said, well, look, he goes around and lays
hands on people. And I said, yeah, that's awesome. She's like, well, you do that too? I said, I do.
I do it when I feel called. And, and so then I said, well, I get to meet him for sure. So very
thankful that she connected us. Yeah, absolutely. So the first time that we met, it was a supernatural
moment. We met over at CAVA, I believe it was, I guess they're getting a free plug today.
That's right. Remember going there. Yeah, I do remember. And literally, we met over at Cava, I believe it was, I guess they're getting a free plug today. That's right.
Remember going there.
Yeah, I do remember.
And literally, we'll just get into the supernatural
right away, we'll just go ahead and do it, Lord, thank you.
And we were sitting there and we were sharing testimonies
and I was immediately, you know, you can sense,
when you operate, when you move in the supernatural,
when you move in the kingdom of God,
you can have a pretty quick conversation with someone
and tell if they're religious or tell if they're really
Kingdom minded as I would like to call it and and and I could see that right away that within five to ten minutes that
You were the real and there's a hummingbird flying right out there. I think it was a hummingbird
I love it when the birds come when the bird like these supernatural things happen on the show and when the birds start coming
It's cool, right, Jada?
I know you told me before that didn't happen every day,
does it?
It happens every once in a while.
Ah, Judah, come on.
You're messing it up.
But anyway, so we're sitting there,
and you can feel the glory of God in that restaurant.
And all of a sudden, I'm turning around, and I look up,
and there's this young kid, basically a kid to me.
He was like high school, maybe college age.
And he is just sitting there with this grin. Just like that. And I thought that he
was listening to our conversation and maybe he was being blessed by it and he wanted to
gauge and I kind of like approached him or said something and he didn't flinch, he didn't
move and he just kept staring with this grin on his face just like that and then
we but we started to realize what was happening it was a demonic influence
that was on this kid that was probably trying to taunt our first meeting yeah
it was an intimidation yeah a little intimidation factor and I kind of like
didn't understand at first and I I remember being like, you all right, man?
And he did not flinch.
So what I went to, I went to my arsenal
and I started praying in tongues.
And what was beautiful is that throughout that conversation,
you had told me earlier in the conversation
that there were times that you had interpreted tongues.
And I do not know many people honestly with that gift and I
had never had anyone interpret my tongues, you know, when I was praying in tongues before.
And I took a picture of this. I'm going to what's up John Shane, my new friend, another
divine connection. And so after I prayed, eventually it shook whatever was and it turned
and walked away. I think the poor kid was kind of possessed,
and I don't even think he realized himself
what was happening in that moment.
I think I gave you a translation, if I remember correctly.
You did, that's what I went back and found the text
because I asked you.
Oh, awesome.
And you were like, do you know what you said?
And I said, no, I have no idea what I said.
And you actually interpreted it,
and you said that I was praying in tongues,
and said, Father, I ask you to bless this child and cancel any spiritual
oppression on him we know your sovereignty overcomes all things and I
couldn't even make that up you couldn't make that's awesome talk about that yeah
well let me let me back up because I think it's important so I never I was
raised Catholic, always believed
in God, but never had a relationship with Jesus, right? And went into the military,
went overseas, deployed, was in combat, got shot, had a near-death experience, lost my
father.
You said you got shot?
Yeah. Yeah. I got shot in the hand on a combat operation.
Navy SEAL, correct?
That's right.
Yeah.
And thank you for your service.
Yeah, thank you.
And I was sitting back and got back home.
And my father had been diagnosed with leukemia.
And he was just an amazing man and somebody
that any son would be proud to have and thankful to have and
he died and I went to a real dark place and I
Had always like I said had my faith
but I never felt like I could action it and
A good friend of mine who has since passed away said you should come to this program
And I said man, I don't need any programs like I I'm fine I'll figure it out because that's what we do I can see
you saying that yeah and and so Rich Higgins got God bless him he said hey
Johnny you should you should come to this program called operation restored
warrior and I was like okay because you're telling me because he was part
operation restored warrior yes that's the name of the ministry it's Isaiah 61 focused I mean this ministry actually brings the
power of Jesus into people's personal stories and miraculous supernatural
healing and you said that this was this was on one of the Holy Ghost
documentaries too yeah it was yeah Darren Wilson's Holy Ghost Reborn okay
yep yeah I remember it so I go go to this ministry and have just a
supernatural event, meet Jesus, get born again, see things and understand things
that I logically don't really make sense to me and was introduced to the Bible
and what truth is and I'm now on the board of that ministry, have been for 12
years now. The founder Paul Lave, is just a phenomenal blessing to the world and
you know, we walk through life a lot together
and so that was my entree, if you will, into
more of a Kingdom focus, less a religious focus.
My wife and I, well that was before I got married, so I ended up getting married and
at that ministry people prayed over me, said, you're going to meet a woman?
I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And they're like, no, no, no, the Lord has a woman for you.
And shortly following my father's death, I had taken a train from Boston and New York
and sat next to a gentleman who worked at the Union Mission Rescue in LA with homeless people that are addicted
to drugs.
And he struck up, him and I struck up a conversation.
He said, hey, we should get together.
And I'm like, hey, man, I'm good.
He goes, well, let's just stay in touch.
I said, cool.
So I stayed in touch with him.
And he called me about three weeks later.
And he said, hey, one of my good friends is coming into D.C. She's really nice and super great person and
she's super attractive and I'm like, okay, cool. He's like, you should meet her and I'm
like, well, I guess so, you know, no big deal. So we make an arrangement. I meet her and
man, I met her but I felt her. And that was the first time I had met somebody actually felt
Like better around that person. I knew for once in my life. I was putting my heart before my head and
And now we and we got married and we have two beautiful children and
Throughout our marriage and throughout that walk in my life. We started seeing miraculous stuff
We had three doctors that were MD PhDs told my wife and I go get a surrogate
There's a 0% chance you'll have children and we had been praying about it
And man the Holy Spirit told us differently on that multiple times and we said hey, you know
Thanks for your input, but you can trust the science we we trust the king. And so that's what we did.
And through a lot of divine interventions and things, 100 percent naturally we have
two beautiful daughters. And so the Lord's been using this experience to help him bring
closer to me. And circling back on the tongue situation, we used to go to a church in Dallas that was really amazing called the Upper Room. And one day during prayer, you know, I had seen people
speaking in tongues and I was like, it's a little strange to me because I'm like, this
dude full of it or what's going on here? And I prayed, I said, the very controversial subjects
I said, Jesus, if, if, if, if there's a way you can. I said Jesus if if if
If there's a way you can silence this person because I can't focus on you because they're talking and so instantly
He didn't silence them
I started understanding I could feel what he was saying and I got a vision of what he was saying and
Since then like the world's been wild doesn't happen all the time
So is that when you start you started to have an understanding
in general of your spiritual gifts, son?
Is that what you're saying?
Because I know you, the Lord shows you things.
I know, and people talk about discernment.
I've seen people kind of knocking,
not knocking discernment, but maybe
knocking the importance of it a little bit,
because we say that, well, so many say
that they're discerning when they're actually judging
in their flesh, and that can can be the case. Sure you see
it all see when I'm around you because like my antennas are up
like that's how I know I operate. That's how the Lord has created
I can sense that about you. You're like, just got you're
looking for the the heretic, right?
Yeah, no, it's not. No, I'm just saying like, in the spirit,
like, I'm not even necessarily looking at just part of who I
am, the Lord just shows me things. And I pick up on things
when I walk into a room or with
people and I know that I've seen that with you as well.
I ain't going to try to hide anything from John because the Lord is going to show him
anyway.
A few things with me, I had always lived like I said out of my head.
I could solve problems that I faced in life.
I loved problem solving and I was always thinking my way through it, but that's not really, you know, our
He didn't give us our mind to communicate with he gave us our heart and our spiritual heart is our number one engagement point
With the Holy Spirit. So when you start making your brain in your mind a slave to what your heart senses the world changes and
I started really paying attention to the way I felt around people, or yes, the way
I could discern the presence.
And many people have this.
They don't have to be believers in Jesus, necessarily.
But people have the ability to feel and sense
trouble, for instance.
But what I'm saying on this is, yes, I
started to notice that I would.
Real spiritual discernment, right?
Correct, yep.
And so there was one point where I was like,
okay, I'm either going crazy or this is 100% true.
And I remember having the Lord, looking back on it now,
because I had heard a lot of people,
a lot of people I admired and respected
had told me wild stories and I'm like, that's amazing.
And being somebody that had lived out of my head so long, I'm like, is that scientifically
even possible?
Like, prove to this and prove to that.
And what I realized was it was all about faith.
It wasn't about proof.
It was about if there was a proof, it was we had a proof to ourselves that we believed
in it because it was a faith that actually carried
and manifested the miracle, the environment for the miracle to happen. But I started looking at
the Bible and reading it and said like Peter didn't get the ability to walk on water until his
foot actually hit the water. It wasn't like he promised that he wasn't going to sink, you know.
The Red Sea didn't part until the staff actually hit the water.
So it was one of those situations where the power showed up, but the faith got you there.
And so I started really acting out on some of these things that I felt.
And I remember very clearly, I carry a book with me in my bag to document this because
my role now is to really document and share.
My kids, they will learn about it
They're young now, but they already I already pray with both of them one of them prays for daddy and mommy now, too
It's just super cute. It's not even three years old. I was on a plane
and I was in the back and I was I got upgraded on the flight and
I felt the Holy Spirit say to me this flight attendant needs you to pray for her.
And I'm like, how am I going to do this?
Like the TSA regulations, you're not
supposed to be standing up, you know?
And so I really felt like this was a moment
that I had to start walking out in what I thought to be true.
But in order to make it known, I had to actually walk out
in it. So I was in the bathroom, I walked up to the bathroom, and I'm in the bathroom,
like, Father, you have to tell me what to say. And the woman, the flight attendant is
over in the corner and she's hitting the ice, like they have these like plastic paddles
and they get ice, and they have to like bust the ice up because it sometimes freezes and I remember as soon as I opened the door for the bathroom, I was
going to go say something to her and I heard she lost her father two weeks ago. And I'm
like okay. And milliseconds before I opened my mouth, I just felt like, look, he's always on our side
and he's always for our victory.
So he is with me on this no matter what the outcome was.
So I said, excuse me, ma'am.
She said, yes.
She looks up like through her glasses, a little confused and startled, you know.
And I said, would it be okay if I prayed with you?
She's like, okay.
And I said, I feel like the Holy Spirit told me that you lost somebody close to you recently.
Did you lose your dad?
So she starts crying.
I start crying.
And she grabs my hand and she said, how did you know that?
And I said, I told you like the Holy Spirit told me. And she said, no, no, no, you don't understand.
That's only half the story.
I said, what do you mean?
And she said, when I woke up this morning,
I prayed to God, if you're real, you'll give me a sign.
And now you're on my flight.
Love that.
And so that story and things like that
started happening more and
more because I felt like the Holy Spirit had told me to do things and I walked
out faithfully knowing. You stepped out in obedience you took leaps and
that's right and and look watch of the fruit it's like oh my and sometimes no
man I have no idea what you're talking about. Yeah, we all miss it.
That's okay.
So the challenge that I think in this kingdom realm is how do we silence our minds so that
our heart can get through?
Because there's so many distractions and there's so many thoughts and the enemy's whispering
in your ear one time.
And so that was a major trajectory in my faith journey I think is is taking the one step out I used to tell me it's like jumping out of an
airplane like you're either going out of the airplane or not there's no halfway
once you're out you're out so that's how I felt and my life has been
supernatural since every day has been supernatural in some way and so that's
the way it's supposed to be. That's right.
That's right.
This kingdom walk, it's a supernatural walk.
I believe, you know, look, the gift,
the true gift of discernment is incredibly important
to the body of Christ and as a watchman
and people that see, you can do a lot of good with it
and protect a lot of people.
And I believe that I'm hearing right now
that even that gift of discernment that you have,
because of what you did in the natural for a long time, I believe that it'm hearing right now that even that gift of discernment that you have that because of what you did in the
Natural for a long time. I believe that it probably saved your life hundred percent
And I don't know what you can talk about that, but I just I'm hearing that would love to hear what anything you can share
Yeah, I would say
Now that you mentioned it I hadn't really reflected when we went when the night I got wounded we had been operating
multiple operations
and we got a radio call that there was pretty high value target in a room and in a house.
And so I remember like, Hey, let's, let's go hit it while we're out. And like a piece
of me was like, something just didn't feel right, but you just go. And I had been up
to a, um, we had, we had been on the outside of the house and I was leaning up
against the house with a window and there was these jail bar rebars, they're called
cell structures over the window and the window just erupted a machine gun fire.
And I remember thinking to myself, I can't throw a hand grenade in because my teammates
were going to go through the door seconds later.
So the really the thing that was only left was for me to engage. So I turned around and got into,
I'm from Boston, but I get into my first and hopefully last Texas standoff with a
bunch of dudes with guns and I had a gun and they had shot at me and
what happened was the round had hit one of those rebars went into my hand and dropped me immediately to the ground. And so to that discernment piece, I remember
time did slow down. I was laying on the ground and I did see my life like a film strip. And
looking at things, putting my science hat back on, looking at things like neurologically,
it said that our brain does that to try
to make a assessment of what we're actually experiencing so it can somehow
react. So you run through every millisecond in your life in super fast time
and it's like nope that's not it, nope that's not it and this was the first
time this had happened to me. So but I remember feeling this calm come over me
and it's like this is not the end for you. And I remember saying, no, it's not.
I had to like, and gut up and I had amazing people around.
So the Lord was speaking to you in that moment
is what I hear.
That's right.
And so that incident and many other times after that
in certain other situations was something
that was watershed in my walk.
But one thing I realize when you look at Proverbs 25-2,
which is that it's the glory of God to conceal a manna
and the honor of kings to seek it and find it.
I really believe that, and we're in Holy Week
and to break it down into a more digestible form
it's like a giant Easter egg hunt and
The Lord hides all these treats and all these Easter eggs and it's on us to go find those treasures
Yeah, I love that, you know and he wants us I believe this he wants us to co-labor with him
He doesn't want to do all the work for us because then what's the point?
Half the point is finding the egg.
It's not having somebody deliver the candy or the money inside the egg to you.
Revealing the mysteries of the kingdom.
Right.
And you have to step out and like you said...
That's right.
So to use a very theologically depth and complex scenario, it is like an Easter egg hunt,
you know, where the Holy Spirit wants us to go
on the hunt, not just sit at home and wait for the basket.
Yeah, and what I can piggyback on that, I've said this many times, like so many of us,
like we're waiting on God, but the reality is He's oftentimes waiting on us.
Isn't so true to...it's easier said than done.
One of my other good friends said to me one time, you know, regarding our answer to prayers in the Holy Spirit is that he's
always on time and rarely early. That's good. So man, anything, thank you for
sharing that story by the way. That's intense. Yeah.
I've just been really blessed to have amazing people around me,
amazing friends, friends that were with me when I was probably
not the happiest person.
And they stood by my side.
And that's not just friendship, that's love.
And that's what it's supposed to do.
And it's really been, you know, there's
another verse that I was really tuned into.
If you look at 2 Chronicles 14, I think,
King Asa is up against amazing odds.
And he is facing an army.
And I think he has 300,000 troops and the army has a million.
Let me see if I can find it.
Anyways, he goes up against them and he says basically, Lord, it is nothing for you to prevail or it is nothing for you to win and smote out these armies.
Basically, where are you?
I need your help.
I'm outnumbered three to one.
Then he finishes a sentence and he says,
do not let man prevail against you.
And when you look at the Greek in prevail,
it's actually the Greek word is, or I'm sorry, the Hebrew.
It's actually atsar, which means restrain, not prevail.
So when you reread the verse, it stuck out to me, it said, do not let man restrain against
you.
Think about all the upgrades that the Holy Spirit and God the Father has for us that
we abort through our own logic.
Like hey, Nate, I really wanted to tell you that the Holy Spirit said that this, this and this is going
to happen and immediately you're like, that's impossible and you negate the upgrade.
Right.
Because your mind, you would try to apply a logical perspective to something that is
illogical because the Holy Spirit is supernatural.
He's outside our lexicon of cognitive depth.
He's outside of our physical world
and the ability to do things.
So am I surprised that people can do amazing things
through the Father?
No, that's why He is who He is.
It's kind of in line with what I say
because a lot of people will get mad at me when I say this,
but when you're talking about logic,
I say that analytics don't come from God.
He gives us the ability to reason, but analytics in the sense that you hear
something from the Holy Spirit
and then you try to have your mind go back and forth pros and cons a hundred
different ways, you end up talking yourself
and making something complicated that the Lord intended to be very simple.
Earthly wisdom, you know, the Greeks invented logos and a lot of this stuff.
It was not... divineivine wisdom is very different
than earthly knowledge and I think that we get wrapped up, I think today more than ever,
you know, where...
For all your knowledge get understanding.
Yeah, exactly. We're about ideas and knowledge but we're not about wisdom and experience,
you know, and it's really something that to have a relationship in the kingdom, I think it's inherently experiential.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
With the biblical foundation.
I heard somebody say recently that the religion is theology with no experience.
It's well said.
And this is powerful.
There's debates on that.
And I'm not here to say I know, I don't think anybody knows the 100% accuracy of what's supposed to happen until we meet them.
Well the Kingdom of God is so, it's like I think about it this way.
It says we will never reach a deficit.
When I think about the cross, I don't know that I will personally feel like I will ever be able to completely, fully understand why I'm here the magnitude of the cross. The kingdom of God is so vast, it's so big,
to think that, I mean, of course eternal life is to know Him,
and we know Him, but I believe that we will spend eternity
getting to know Him more.
So to think that I'm gonna sit here
and act like I know everything there is
about the kingdom of God,
I think that would be pretty arrogant.
For anybody to say.
I only can attest to experiences.
So when you pray for somebody with a broken bone, and a week after you pray on it, they
go in and the x-rays show a clean bone.
When you pray with somebody with stage four cancer, or a three-year-old that has liver
cancer and the PET scan comes back clean a week later, like these things operate, the
Holy Spirit operates outside the confines of
traditional wisdom, traditional medicine, etc. And so at first, like there's no way that can happen,
but the fact that it happens is in itself an indication that we're living in things that cannot be
necessarily explained through human intellect.
Anything else you want to touch on on that? Because we're going to shift.
I have a couple things to talk about, Tom Falaas.
So I wasn't expecting to share with this,
but you shared a little bit about the story
about your fertility journey in the supernatural.
And you know that that's such a big part of our testimony
and story journey with our four children as well.
And documented in scripture when you talk about Hannah with Samuel and
Elizabeth with John and even Samson was a miracle baby.
It's all throughout Scripture, but these children, some of us,
there's a lot that goes into it
without, it's not always simple,
but and there's such a blessing and such a gift,
but when they get here for guys like us,
businessmen, entrepreneurs, maybe a little selfish,
there needs to be some refining
and the Lord will find us through these children.
So I don't know if maybe you can touch a little bit just,
because this is something I share about a lot personally,
about maybe the refining or what the Lord is doing in your heart through having these young children and what it what they're
So one of the one of the many things that I have to work on is patience or lack thereof and
I
Was listening to Bill Johnson who I think is is a gift to the world, and his wisdom is phenomenal.
Heavenly wisdom is phenomenal.
He was talking about patience, and he said that when you look at the root and the context
of the word, it's actually a military term to describe like unbelievable courage.
To have patience is to have courage.
And when you think about it, put that in perspective. So I'll use it with having little kids.
My patients is tested every day.
And you know what it is, it's having-
How old are your children again?
One is, let's see, 18 months and almost three.
So 14 months.
Yeah, I'm in the full thick of it.
And it's awesome.
And my patients get tested, but I'll tell you,
the patients get tested because in some ways,
I have to have courage that what I'm dealing with right now,
whether it's a dirty diaper or some sort of
child-related thing, is actually honing me
to be a better person, and it's not hurry up
and get that done because I have another email to send out
or I have to go do something else.
That patience that's being forged in me
through staying on task with what's in front of me,
whether it's a crying baby, it's 3 a.m.
and somebody can't sleep,
and I'm not gonna get any sleep afterwards,
he's working through the children to work with me on that.
And I really, you know, I had a revelation late in the evening,
or early in the morning, I should say,
probably 2 or 3 in the morning, one night when I was up,
which is this honing that we're doing here on Earth,
whether it's if you have children, likely through them,
if you have an amazing wife like I do, likely through her, or if you have people that love you, likely through them, or even strangers.
We all get honed in some way because I believe the Holy Spirit is trying to chip off all the hard edges, so when we go be with Him, we don't have those anymore.
And so the experience of young children, to me, is rounding some of the burrs and it's working on things like
patience. It's working on the things like what are important, not what the world thinks
are important.
I'll add some other things that he's been teaching me throughout the children. Patience,
humility, selflessness, self-control, servant leadership.
Yes, I should say all that because those are all tied up. You can't wake up in the morning to think about yourself first anymore, right? Nope, or at least I know I can't no
Yeah, I can't either and the selflessness like not to get angry that your day might be thrown sideways because
Something has occurred that is out of your control, but maybe it's supposed to be sideways. The simplicity of that, think of yourself less. And know that everything, even a
trial, is being used for good because he is good. Well, I mean, it's the refining
fire, but like I tell people, I think so many of us, and this can go back to
discernment, this can come back to our relationship
and knowing his heart and knowing how the Lord works,
that the discerning, the refining fire of God
does not look like death, chaos, and destruction.
That's the enemy.
But these children, they are a gift,
and it can be hard and it can be challenging,
but it's also beautiful. And the Lord will teach us us through that beauty through that innocence through that sincerity through that childlike faith and my son
I mean my goodness that boy I learned from him
He the I would encourage you because the older your children are gonna get when you can when they can really have deep
conversations with you just
It's amazing what the Lord will teach you
through them.
Awesome.
Can't wait.
There's plenty to look forward to,
and I know I have much more to look forward to as well.
So, I want to hear you talk about,
and I know that this is not an arrogant,
self-promoting thing on your part,
but one of the things I'd really like to do,
I think I'll talk to you about this in the next month or so,
is have kingdom people come on
who are also entrepreneurs and business people.
And I would love for you to maybe talk a little bit about,
because you are a very successful businessman
and entrepreneur, and I don't know if you can talk
maybe some about the role that God has played
in that throughout this, or also,
maybe just some encouragement for people that
are looking to step out financially as kingdom entrepreneurs.
Yeah, I will say that the business and entrepreneur journey, it's like a marriage in many ways.
It's a second marriage.
If you really care about the business, I mean,
you're tied into the people around the business and the clients in it, and you have to bring God
in with that. And for many years I didn't, I did it out of sheer will and sheer mental grit.
Your own strength.
My own strength. And look, there's been some positive outcomes from that, but there was
also not fulfillment. And I think there's a difference. You can have outcome without
fulfillment. And that's very dangerous. And so I had outcome, but without fulfillment.
And it's so funny because as I'm thinking about this now, like I think I've inverted
that. Now I have fulfillment, maybe with not as much outcome.
But that's okay, because with fulfillment
and knowing that people's lives are being changed,
that's winning.
And so I've had some success.
I've also had a lot of trials too.
And the trials and tribulations of trying to run a business
through a kingdom mindset has me praying a lot more, but also has me trying to run a business through a kingdom mindset
has me praying a lot more,
but also has me trying to be that example
to my employees and people that I work with.
And that is challenging
because some people just don't have
a belief lexicon at all.
Some people are dealing with a lot of trials.
Some people deal with a lot of tragedy
and trying to help them navigate
that without this line of HR, you can't talk about that, you can't talk about this type
stuff is really a challenge. I have prayed with people.
Really not kingdom, right? To me it all is. I mean, I prayed with people at my work and for the most part it's gone
over well from what I know.
I've tried to treat people as best I could.
Sometimes they've reciprocated, other times they haven't.
But I've also realized that the Lord wants us to be abundant.
He does not want us to be in poverty.
A lot of people, including myself, had this completely backwards. I mean, do you think that God who made us want us to reflect him as people that
are terrible at business and can't work? I agree completely. I mean, and so, I want people to make
a lot of money and be successful. I want them to know him throughout the process. And I think that some of the
things that I've been reminded of is when I've made a revenue number or an exit number
an idol, things have not gone well. So through this business journey, I feel like I've been
able to do a ministry, I would not have been on that airplane if it wasn't a business trip with that flight attendant. I would have had
probably 15 other examples like that. I've had cab drivers, everything through
travel. I've had random people I've dumped into. I had a woman on a plane that
told me she was going blind. Like I've had amazing stuff all because of business
trips. So he's using the business as my ministry to convey to others,
which is awesome.
Amen.
But I also realized that I had put things on this idol or made an altar on business-related
stuff. And when you make money or success or an outcome, an idol or an altar, you're
going to leave a wake of destruction behind you and you're going to rationalize it. You're
going to say you're doing it for your family or you're doing it for your kids and you may rationalize it but what
what's happening behind you? You have no friends, your kids don't know you, your wife doesn't know
you, you're never around and so that has always been a challenge and a balance of mine and and
that can happen through business and ministry. Correct. That's a great point.
I hadn't even thought of that.
You can make your ministry an altar or an idol.
Well, that's what the Lord, you know,
my wilderness was a couple of years
in hiding with three babies during COVID.
And people have heard me say this before.
I share it a lot, but, you know,
the ministry of signs, wonders, miracles all over the place.
Don't see anybody else around here that was living that life. So, you know, the ministry of signs, wonders, miracles, all over the place. You don't see anybody else around here
that was living that life.
So, you know, you start to think
that you're something special
and people are inviting you in to speak
and all these things.
And the Lord started to show,
well, son, really what makes you special
is that I live inside you.
And this should be part of everyone's kingdom life, right?
But like you said said you can see
Gain the whole world, but if your own family your own children think you're a fraud
They don't they don't you know don't see that at home. Oh, you're angry and short all the time
Yeah, then then then you're missing it and really that for me. It's he showed me the the you know
the finer fruits again and that you don't have to be seen or heard
to be used in powerful ways for the kingdom,
and that for many of us, our children are the,
we can have more impact in our children
to be torchbearers for the kingdom of God
than probably anybody else in our life.
And knowing what you and I know of truth
in terms of the generational attacks,
I mean, look at how much more armed we are now
to pray over our children,
to pray over our unborn great grandchildren,
which we can do right now.
Think about that.
We can have a major impact on their future generations
because we're gonna live with them forever too.
Yeah, absolutely.
Anything else, any other advice
you'd give on people for business?
Kingdom business?
Tell me a supernatural,
can you give me a supernatural story
of something that the Lord has done
throughout business maybe in recent years?
Some kind of favor?
I don't have, well I would say this.
I've been brought amazing, talented people
at the right time, which has been a blessing.
That's one.
Number two, there's been times when I was being 100% obedient
and the outcome was not what I wanted.
And only years later did I realize that that outcome allowed me to
be upgraded in the next season. So I think it goes back to the patience. You
got to have a courage in this. We want it now, now, now, but our timing is not, our
timing is an earthly perspective. Right. So I would say I don't have an example of
a, hey here's a 15 million million contract that came out of nowhere.
Right. But didn't you tell me recently that you landed a really big account that was-
I did, yeah. So actually, I'm glad you reminded me. So I started a new business about a year and a
half ago based on the Holy Spirit saying, you need to go into this because this country needs people with your
perspective to go after some of the bad guys that are really involved in nefarious activities
on us and our children and our culture really.
And yes, that has been, the trajectory of that business has gone faster than it should
and that is because God's favor's in it. And that has been just a phenomenal trip.
Good deal, well good.
I love the kingdom advice there.
We're going to shift into really our last segment
of the show.
We're gonna talk about hearing the voice of God.
I actually have a word for you.
Are you okay if I release a word to you on air?
Sure. Are you all right with that? I always ask people. I don't get to go to this sometimes. That's fine with voice of God. I actually have a word for you. Are you okay if I release a word to you on air? Sure.
Are you all right with that?
I always ask people.
I don't...
That's fine with me, man.
I trust you.
This is not...
I'll release it in a minute,
but just as far as like hearing the voice of God,
because I know that you have a prophetic voice
and I love to hear unique perspectives on that
and how you hear from God
and how you've learned to steward that.
Maybe you can just share just briefly,
because I think we have some different people watching
today, about hearing the voice of God
and what that looks like in your life.
So being somebody that has tried to look at things
scientifically and consistently in order to make sure
I have the same outcome, I do a couple different tactics.
Number one is, you know, when you're praying,
you just ask Jesus, do you love me?
I mean, there's an answer to that.
And how he answers you is likely his voice.
And the second way to sort of test that
is in the book of John,
he tells us very clearly to test the spirit.
He tells us how to test the spirit.
And he basically tells, you know, the voice that you hear of that Spirit,
did Jesus come as a Son of God in the flesh? And if the answer to that's yes, then that is the
Spirit of God that you're hearing. That's not counterfeit. And so being able to use those
tactics is something that I use at the small level to make sure
that when I'm praying or I get wisdom to people, it's His word that I'm passing along.
It's not my own.
The second thing I will tell you, and this has been a massive lesson learned, I have
gone to pray and I got nothing back, like multiple times.
I can't hear God's voice.
He doesn't talk to me.
And finally, finally the Holy Spirit revealed to me,
the posture of my heart was angry.
And if your heart is angry posture,
you're not gonna hear anything because you're not,
your heart, it goes back to the fertile soil,
it's not ready to, it might, even a seed,
if God drops a seed, He's dropping it on the rocky ground it's never going
to take root your heart has to be like soil has to be fertile to receive the seed of knowledge that
he wants to plant yeah it's really good and if it's not you're not going to hear it so if you're
not hearing God's what is our agenda what is our heart posture with so with so many things in life
because so many times we have an agenda, sometimes we know it,
sometimes we don't know it, but God knows it. We think it's sincere, but we're actually, it's not.
And many times you hear people, I thought the Lord told me to do this. I use that precursor
very sparingly and I have to check my own before and that's why guys like you
I know that you do that too. So many people give out advice that they say is Holy Spirit driven in, you know, hopefully their
their heart is open and it is authentic. Yeah
We see it now more than ever. We see people that
saying this is kingdom based but you have to you were as
saying this is kingdom-based, but you have to, you, we're as believers. We go back to the discernment. We're all able to discern. Because there's a lot of
fraudulent things out there. He said that his people hear his voice, his sheep will hear his voice.
That's right. So I'm gonna release this to you then. So this actually came from my
dear friend Chris Beck, who's a big part of the show. I need to like start
labeling. Chris, maybe if you have some ideas you can tell me what we're gonna name this segment of the show for Chris's words. Just love this man, very
connected, intercedes for the show, for our family, and we just have a beautiful
beautiful connection. But many times he'll just look at a person's picture
and he just, the Lord shows them things, beautiful things about people. So this
is what he saw today for you, John. He said, while praying for the just, the Lord shows him things, beautiful things about people. So this is what he saw today for you, John.
He said, while praying for the show,
the Lord gave me the following words for John.
I thought this was interesting.
The first word was expert marksman.
And I think that's kind of right in line
with like even what you did in the natural.
That is 100% true.
Expert marksman, man of God, illustrator,
spirit of excellence, storyteller, kind heart,
kingdom focus.
I have given him the gift to see things unfold.
Storytelling is a part of his life.
Which is also, I thought, confirming
for the John that I know.
It is the way I designed him.
I enjoy his company.
He brings warmth to my heart.
John is very loyal, a desire to know more about me.
Confidence is important in his walk and he has it. It will be seen by many in the coming days. His ability to explain things,
illustrate, will captivate many hearts. John will define things for what they truly are, a degree of understanding for many to navigate the waters and
tough terrain ahead. He is diplomatic and courteous to others
which will advance my calls on the earth." That's awesome. Thank you, Chris. Really appreciate
those words. Thank you. That's amazing. Thank you for sharing that. Wow. Absolutely. I can't draw,
but I think the illustrator from Storytell, there's a few things that I hit home. The marksman thing is phenomenally accurate.
Just because I shot rifle my whole life,
I was recruited to the Naval Academy for the shooting team.
Oh, wow.
I went to the Olympic trials in 2000.
Oh, really?
Wow, I did not know that.
That is very accurate.
I love that.
That was the thing that I heard.
I knew it was accurate, and I didn't even
know all that myself. That is so cool. I just love how God can do that. That was like the thing that I heard, like I knew it was accurate, and I didn't even know all that myself.
Yeah, yeah.
That is so cool.
I just love how God like,
And that's wild.
And that's clearly something that was very important
to you in your life.
I mean, I'm sure you practice probably
just about every day, right?
That taught me that your mind can control your body.
And then I feel like now with the Holy Spirit,
it's okay, how do you let
your heart take control of that? Wow, so you said you went to the Olympic trials?
Mm-hmm. Wow. Yep. So you were very close to making the Olympics. Right. Mm-hmm. Well
what happened? You didn't choke, did you? No, I didn't. I wasn't good enough. I want to hear. I'm a sports guy, so I'd love to hear that. I think at the time, it wasn't God's plan.
Actually, looking back on it now, I probably
would not have been able to go to war and go in the SEAL teams.
And it was 2000, says Barcelona.
So we were at the World Championships.
I think I placed like 14th in the world or something.
But that's OK.
You know, it was that.
14th in the world or in the country?
Let's see, that was the Olympic trials, so it was international folks there. Oh, it was.
I think at the end of the day, that whole episode was something that was a season,
the shooting experience was an avenue and a road that just opened up
other areas I never would have thought to include myself, focus, which isn't always easy for me.
So I'm very thankful for that. Very cool. Love that word too. That's awesome. I love that. I mean,
sometimes like I could have stopped there, right?
I could have said those two words.
Sometimes he's very simple.
I mean, Chris gives beautiful words, but even if I had to say expert marksman, you would
have been like, oh, cool.
It's so wild.
Yeah.
It's so accurate.
So you may or may not know this, but I always ask this at the end of the show.
I guess I'll put you on the spot and see if the Lord gives anything to you.
But you, we've had conversations, private conversations
about things that we sense, things that we see
in this downtown area.
You know it's strategic while the Lord has had this show here.
And just anything that you have for the city of Charlton,
anything that you see God doing in this region,
or even maybe for the show in particular, anything on your heart? I think if you're a believer,
the Lord's gonna want, well let me back up, I think our job as believers is to make sure we
we have a testimony to tell and you don't need to search for it. If you're a believer, you have a
testimony. That's just the nature of it. So share your stories because
often people need hope in this time
with everything going on in world events.
And testimony is something that gets us through
and make sure we realize that we're never without hope.
So I think that we should continue to walk out our calling
and make sure that we share with folks our testimony,
especially if we have a bunch of them,
because I think it will ultimately
bring people closer to him.
Amen.
Thank you, brother.
Anything else on your heart before we check out?
I think that's it.
Yeah.
Thank you very much.
Well, thanks for joining us, man. Enjoy spending the time with you. Thanks for being vulnerable and on your heart before we check out? I think that's it. Yeah. Thank you very much. Well, thanks for joining us, man.
Enjoy spending the time with you.
Thanks for being vulnerable and opening your heart
and sharing some of those really powerful testimonies.
And it's just beautiful.
And it's good to see people in this region.
I think it's one of those things where, like I said,
we're both very busy, but I do believe,
and I know every time we get together, we say this,
that God's gonna do something together.
I mean, He's doing something through us today.
But I believe that there's gonna be more
because there's not a lot of guys like us in this region,
and I believe that we are called to work together.
That's awesome.
We're two or more gathered, so just blessed
that the Lord led you guys to this region,
and just beautiful to see that He's working through you
and also your wife and other areas of our town.
Awesome.
So bless you guys, love you, thank you for watching.
Please share the show, share it with people watching it
all around the world.
I thank our sponsors with Profit Overflow SEO
and Opening Doors Real Estate.
And guys, this is, every day is about Jesus, right?
Every day, he's alive every day.
He's risen every day, but like when Holy Week,
when we think about Easter, resurrection, Sunday,
Good Friday, like be a light for the kingdom of God.
This week, go out and share with somebody
that Jesus loves them, that not only he loves them,
but he loves them so much, he died for them.
And he is alive and just share the good news
and bless somebody.
Bless somebody, ask the Holy Spirit
how He wants to work through you.
Because it's not gonna look the way He works through John,
exactly, it might not look the way He works through me.
He created you unique and beautiful,
and He will work through you in unique and powerful ways.
So just trust that He loves you, that He sees you,
that He desires intimate relationship with you,
and He wants to work through you to be a light for the
kingdom of God wherever it is that He has called you to be. So bless you guys. I
speak life and love and healing over your bodies and your minds in the name
of Jesus. And God bless and have a good week. Thank you..
