Welcome to the I Love Sevo Show, guys.
My name is Jerry Miller.
Thank you kindly for joining us on a Monday afternoon in downtown Charlesville.
It's the water cooler of content and conversation for Charlestville-Abmore County in Central Virginia.
So much to cover on the program, including Jeff Bezos's newspaper,
The Washington Post, leaking text messages, at least text messages were leaked to them
from the University of Virginia Board of Visitors.
And then the WAPO staff proceeds to publish those leaks in their newspaper.
for all of us to read. I want to unpack a board of visitors storyline that continues to offer content
for the I Love Seville show. The board of visitors members, those that were Democrats and those that
were Republicans communicating back and forth and that nuance and that topic matter was printed into
what maybe the most, the second most, third most significant newspaper, fourth most significant
newspaper in the country. I mean, still, I would think the paper of record for the country
is it's a toss-up between the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. And then what?
In the third slot, is it the Washington Post, Deep Throat? Is it the Washington Post? John Blair?
Is it the L.A. Times in the third slot? The fact that Bezos owns the Washington Post
offers a little cachet to the publication. We'll talk that storyline, give you the who, what,
when, where why, as the Board of Visitors proves yet again to be a position that why in God's name
would you take, free work for crossfire and microscopic attention. I think the true storyline,
at least from my standpoint, is the fact that the Washington Post chose to publish text messages
between board members over the last years, as opposed to highlighting the Freedom of Information
Act documents, the FOIA documents from the Jefferson Council that clearly outlines the
scandal of UVA health. It's no secret that UVA health is an advertiser of many legacy media
platforms. Maybe that advertising allocation is buying UVA health system, you know, no accountability
with legacy media. That story on today's program. How about Tim, Tim Hafey on the record saying
that Scott Beersley's time at the University of Virginia is extremely numbered? He does highlight
Tim Hafee that that Beardsley is going to get a nice little payday.
But he, his expectation, and Heafie's an established attorney, is that Beardsley's days in
Cars Hill are numbered.
And how about the Augusta Free Press publishing an analysis on Beardsley's resume and how Scott
Beardsley's resume was scrubbed of diversity, equity, and inclusion over the last 12 months?
Seems to be a non-starter of a story there.
We'll unpack that with Judah Wickhauer.
That's the voice you hear off camera.
A lot we're going to cover on the broadcast,
including a protest that happened over the weekend,
including Chandler Morris denied a seventh year of eligibility by the NCAA,
including now two UVA football,
former UVA football quarterbacks,
Danny Kalandria,
fighting for the starting job, not in Charlottesville,
but with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, goodness gracious,
it's a wild time to be a constant.
content creator. We'll give some love to Charlottesville Sanitary Supply, 61 consecutive
years in business, Charlottesville Sanitary Supply, and their sister division, Charlottesville
Swimming Pool Company, are men and women of integrity. The Vermilions are the owners of these
brands. They've been Almorel County residents for five generations and business owners for three
generations online at East High Street or in person on East High Street and online at
Charlottesville Sanitary Supply.com and CharlottesvilleSwomenary Supply.com.
Judah Wickcarriage studio camera.
Actually, don't go to the studio camera because you still have the Real Talk with Keith Smith branding.
Don't sweat that.
Let's just go to the two shot here.
We did have a special edition of Real Talk with Keith Smith at 1130 as Keith Smith is back in Charlottesville.
The program returns to its normal day and time, 10, 15 a.m. on Fridays.
And this Friday, he's got Scott Morris and John Ralston on the show.
Scott Morris, a lender, John Ralston, a closing attorney.
as we look at 2026 real estate in our area, an interest rate environment that many are predicting
is going to be in the mid-fives. That's going to have an impact on things. A lot I want to cover
on the broadcast, Judah, two-shot, and we'll get to topics de jure on the show today. Which topic
most intrigues you, Judah Wickauer, and why? Well, it's definitely the FOIA text messages. It's a lot,
Obviously, if you've looked at the actual link to the text messages, something like 950 pages worth of text.
But the story is fascinating.
I mean, you've got all these people acting like this is some type of grand conspiracy
between the Republican members of the Board of Visitors and the Office of Glenn Yonkin.
I just don't see that.
You look at the fact that some of the people that are talking to each other are people like Hardy,
who is the former rector and a Democrat,
and he was appointed by the previous governor.
And he's on record in these void text chains.
talking to uh... to rachel sheridan
who one would think is firmly on the uh... yonke and republican side of
of whatever uh... you're trying to turn this into
and so i think that this is just a uh... this is
a chain of human people in uh...
a tenuous situation as we all know from the last year or so
of the uh... d oj pounding uvae
wanting them to make changes, whether or not there was a conspiracy to oust Jim Ryan.
I don't think you find that in these texts.
And you just find a bunch of people reacting to the insanity of what's been going on at UVA.
Robert Hardy first appointed to the UVA Board of Visitors in 2008 by Governor Tim Kane,
reappointed in 2017 by Governor Terry McCullough,
continued to serve on the UVA Board of Visitors
under Governor Ralph Northrum,
finish his term on the UVA Board of Visitors,
his time, I should say, in the UVA Board of Visitors as rector,
numerous text message correspondence with Robert Hardy
and now rector Rachel Sheridan,
where in those text message correspondence
that were published by the Washington Post,
leak to the Washington Post,
it shows an extremely respectable,
amicable, above board
communication and relationship,
Hardy and Sheridan, Democrat and Republican.
There are references to four individuals
on the board of visitors.
Does Hardy referencing them as the horsemen
or the jackasses at one time?
Make some fun of four board of visitors.
I'm sure he regrets doing that
now that they've been published
in a newspaper with a worldwide circulation.
The four horsemen,
or should I say,
a four horses, four horses asses, I said jackasses, Hardy calls four men on the board. I would imagine
those four led by the now fired board of visitors member Bert Ellis. He's often asking for help
from Sheridan to address these four horsemen. I'm going to use that term. I'm, I don't think
the four horsemen I'm mentioned. They're not identified, but we can put two and two together.
And yeah. They do use the terminology MAGA.
on repeated occasions in these text messages.
MAGA motivated, DOJ motivated Robert Hardy's text message words, not mine.
Writing two shared.
And I mean, you know, if you look through the text messages,
there is a lot of shorthand.
You know, look at anyone who writes text messages a lot
and has to text with a bunch of people.
You're going to find, you know, shortened terms.
And I think you see that here.
The fact that they're using MAGA and DOGE, I mean, this is shorthand.
This is being used to talk about things like the Jefferson Council, UVA, the DOJ, etc.
We are going to take it a step further on this show, as we always do.
I personally think, I'm curious of your take, Judah, and I'm curious of the viewers and listeners take,
the significance of this story.
From my standpoint, Robert Hardy, Rachel Sheridan, corresponding with these.
other other board members corresponding with each other via text message having those
text messages leaked to the Washington Post and the Washington Post posting or
publishing this story and it's on its website and its print editions for me it's a
non-story I think the true story here is who is doing the leaking who is suggesting
to the Washington Post to to freedom of information act request this
correspondence someone is clearly tipping
off post reporters on the skeletons or what is perceived to be the skeletons at the University of
Virginia. And whoever is doing this is doing it with an agenda. That's the first true piece of
news I want to unpack. If we remember, when Bert Ellis was fired by Glenn Yonkin in 2024,
it's 2024, right, or was it in 2025? Let me do a quick Google search here. This is all running
together. Bird Ellis, when was Bert Ellis fired by Yonkin?
Bert Ellis was fired by Glenn Yunkett in March of 2025.
Prior to the firing of Bert Ellis, Yonkin appointed Bert Ellis.
There was a story in the Washington Post that was published that made Bert Ellis, at least in print or on its website, look bad.
There was body cam footage from years before 2025 of Bert Ellis interacting with the police officer on the UVA corner in front of the restaurant he co-owns the white spot where he is a managing,
partner. And if you just look at this body camera footage at cursory glance, it makes Bert Ellis look
antagonistic. The reality is, as you dig deeper, it shows, it's really Bert Ellis having a respectful
conversation with Charlottesville police officers and not using profanity. Frankly, he's interacting
with the police officers, as we all should, and this body cam footage. So it was a smear campaign
done by someone leaking to a reporter at the Washington Post, multiple reporters at the
the Washington Post to try to tarnish the image of Bert Ellis, which was then used as a smokescreen
or as a leverage point by Glenn Yonkin to fire his hand-appointed board of visitors member
because he was too bombastic when the reality is Ellis was bombastic from day one prior to being
appointed. Yonkin knew what he was getting here. So using that logic and then you jump in, Judah,
I would like to know who continues to leak this information to the Washington Post and what is there
agenda. Clearly, the leak is someone that has a motive, and I would think that motive is one to
insulate, protect, preserve Jim Ryan and his brand. I'm going to unpack that. Judah Wickhauer,
anywhere you want to go. Do you think this is just misdirection to keep people from looking at the
health system story? Yeah. You can go that road. That's a possibility. I mean, you drum up a big
story. This is a fairly
long
article
meant to
bring out the
anger of different sides, make this
into a political lighting
rock. Us against them.
But there's, I really,
you've said it as well. I don't really
see anything here.
This is, I mean, you know, they throw
in some stuff about gender affirming care.
They throw in the stuff
about DEI, but that was, that was on the way out anyways.
The DOJ was directing things at that point.
The, I think everybody was on, was on damage control mode.
And to say that the board of visitors members were collaborating or having some type of,
what,
illicit
contact with each other
discussing these things
is I think
you're pushing too far.
I got an email
over the weekend,
ladies and gentlemen,
from an attorney
and I have yet to correspond
with him.
This was on Saturday afternoon.
This was from an attorney
that was the primary
primary Freedom of Information Act guy for the Jefferson Council. I have yet to even forwarded this to Judah.
I'm going to forward it to you now. He sends me a paragraph of information and intel. That's in your inbox if you want to read it on the Freedom of Information Act request that the Jefferson Council did to uncover the detailed scandal with UVA health.
I am considering welcoming or at least inviting this attorney onto the I Love Seville Show.
show he is an out-of-market attorney. So this would be something that would be done via Zoom or
digitally and to just get his take, this attorney's take on what's going on with UVA health
and that scandal. I think the bigger storyline here, then we're going to open it up to you,
the viewer and listener to take your thoughts and your ideas on the Washington Post coverage
over the weekend on leaked text messages to the post. The bigger story for me is this.
it's not the text messages which shows normal people communicating in text message fashion.
It's not Robert Hardy, the hotel year, the resort owner, the philanthropist, the fundraiser,
the big money donor to the UVA University of Virginia, its athletics department,
having he and his wife on the nameplate of a building in the athletic department.
That story is a non-starter to me.
Robert Hardy didn't like people on the board of visitors?
Great.
I don't like a lot of people out there and people don't like me.
And people correspond about me and I correspond about them.
That's called being human.
Does he regret calling four people on the board of visitors?
Horses' asses?
Probably he does right now because he's a Virginia gentleman.
But did Robert Hardy do anything wrong?
No.
Did Rachel Sheridan do anything wrong?
No.
The bigger story for me is this.
Why is the Washington Post choosing to report this non-starter of a story
instead of what happened this past week with the Jefferson Council
and the Freedom of Information Act request with the UVA health system scandal.
And I stand by this statement.
I truly believe UVA health system is such a powerhouse of an organization
with top-line revenue in the billion.
I think top-line revenue for health system is north of $10 billion with the B-plus dollars per year.
Okay?
They are such a heavy hitter of an organization in the Commonwealth of Virginia
that their advertising placement and their powerhouse revenue
is earning them grace or what,
muffled news or coverage.
You use a gun metaphor here.
A silencer has been put on the media by the health system
because they're such a significant advertiser.
That's what's happening here, ladies and gentlemen.
And that's shocking to me that that still exists today.
You saw this with pharmaceutical companies.
Pharmaceutical companies have this kind of, certainly during COVID.
We saw this with pharmaceutical companies,
the impact these pharmaceutical companies had with influencing the media cycle and politicians.
We're seeing this here in Charlottesville.
That's power.
That is power, ladies and gentlemen.
Absolute power right there.
Comments, we'll put them in the feed, we'll relay them live on air.
This is from number one in the family, Deep Throat.
Deep Throat says the reason the Washington Post is going with the text messages is because they are taking dictation from a source.
Clearly someone on Team Jim Ryan, wonder who the source is, just comes down to the fact that most newspapers these days employ synographers rather than reporters.
Very well said, Deep Throat.
Ginny Who, thank you for the retweet.
Like and share the show, like and share the show.
If you have a comment, put in the feed I'll relay them live on air.
John Blair's got a comment.
Number two in the family.
Good to see John Blair over the weekend at the UVA squash match.
The men's squash team at the University of Virginia,
led by head coach Mark Allen,
absolutely dismantled visiting Princeton University seven to two
in a matchup of top 10 programs.
Very impressed with what Mark Allen and UVA squash are doing.
John Blair, some notes on newspapers.
Yes, the Washington Post,
as third in America in terms of daily newspaper simply by virtue of Jeff Bezos's ownership.
I point this out because the Daily Newspaper in Pittsburgh, it was announced it will cease
publication in May of this year. No online or print content. It will go out of business.
Pittsburgh is the 28th largest MSA in America. Also on January 1st, the Atlanta Journal
Constitution ended its print edition. Atlanta's the eighth largest MSA in America.
John Blair is exactly right on what he publishes per usual on the
I Love Seville Network. I was corresponding with Deep Throat last week, and Deep Throat made the comment
John Blair that the billionaire that's saving the daily progress with his $50 million infusion into Lee Enterprises,
now becoming the top dog at Lee Enterprises, the owner of Lee Enterprises, perhaps he should have
waited and purchased a Pittsburgh Post Gazette instead of Lee Enterprises. Maybe he goes after
the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as well. The guy is a billionaire. He also, he always,
owns the Pittsburgh Penguins, the hockey team in the National House, and the NHL.
So if you're the billionaire that's trying to save journalism,
and in a lot of ways, not just saving journalism, but propping up your other businesses,
your many other businesses that you own by positively featuring them in print
and or giving them free or discounted advertising and digital and print publications,
maybe you go after the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as well
because you have a hockey team in Pittsburgh that needs coverage to drive fan engagement
in brain exposure.
So I appreciate the comments there from John Blair and from deep throw.
We should have a countdown or a clock, a countdown or a clock of when the UVA health system
story is actually covered by some platform of merit besides the I-L-Sevel Network.
Because right now, it's been nearly a week since it's been covered.
The news broke on Tuesday of last week.
And Judah, when you read the email I forwarded you by the attorney who led the FOIA charge
for the Jefferson Council on uncovering the 239 documents on that detail what happened at UVA Health.
Your thoughts on whether or not we should welcome this attorney on to the talk show via Zoom?
Oh, 100%.
I mean, he brings up some questions that we've asked ourselves about the fact of, you know,
why was the request for the body game footage of Bert Ellis?
so accurate to the time when, you know, for making him look bad,
who knew about it?
It's a very specific request.
Also talks about, they were asking for expense reports for Ellis and Wetmore.
Obviously a nothing burger, but it's like who is, who's directing them to ask these questions.
Yeah.
I think he has some interesting, some interesting things to say.
He also is, you know, he's talking about, he's the, he's the FOIA guy.
This guy is going to, he's a, he sounds like a bulldog.
This guy seems tenacious.
And I appreciate that.
He's going to keep, he's going to keep at it and keep at it until he gets the information.
Yeah.
And, and I'm glad that we have an institution like the Jefferson Council that will take a bite and
shake and see what falls out of the pockets of it.
All right, you know what? We'll email. I'll copy you on the email.
We'll get the attorney that led the FOIA charge for the Jefferson Council on the show,
at least invite him and put the ball on his court. He reached out to us without us reaching out to him.
Don't know how he found my email address, but props to him.
Granted, if he's finding 239 pages of FOIA documentation or discovering it or bringing it to light,
probably can find my email address with no problem, right?
So we'll send him an invitation and see if we can get him on the program.
That leads us to a transition to Scott Beardsley, that lower third on screen.
I was surprised with his straightforwardness on this.
Tim Haffey, previously an owner of a home on Barrick's Road
in the Blue Ridge Rugby neighborhood,
now a regular contributor to the morning show on WINA,
goes on record and says Scott Beardsley's days are numbered at the University of Virginia.
Very straightforward commentary.
He predicts what a lot of us are saying,
that Spamberger is going to quickly reimagine the Board of Visitors,
and that reappointing of decision makers is going to lead to the last of the Mohicans' future of Scott Beardsley and Carse Hill.
we're at the tip of the iceberg,
ladies and gentlemen.
The tip of the iceberg.
And speaking of the W&I and A team
and the lead slot right now on CIVO right now
is this headline.
UVA Health Medical Center again
in Becker's 100 great hospitals in America.
That is the lead story on CIVO right now.
Not anything to do with the FOIA,
but that UVA Health Medical Center
is one of the 100 greatest hospitals in America.
That is power.
An interesting take, isn't it?
That is absolute power right there
that they're able to spend so much money
that they can control the new cycle.
That is absolute power.
I mean, the only thing second to that
is Bezos buying the Washington Post.
I mean, Beardsley storyline,
Judah Wickhauer, the show is yours.
Yeah.
I think Heifie says what everybody's thinking,
We're all just waiting to find out what the outcome is going to be.
We know that there are empty seats for Spanberger to fill on the Board of Visitors.
I think the big question is when or how quickly she starts clearing out board
members that she doesn't like and from there.
We'll see if they're just going to be
if they're just going to go straight for the jugular and try to get rid of Beardsley right away.
There's Augusta Free Press publishing coverage over the weekend on Scott Beardsley's CV, his resume,
and how he scrubbed diversity, equity, and inclusion mentions from his resume throughout 2025
to make his CV, his resume more appealing to Board of Visitors members and or, in case it was released to the
public. The folks in the Augusta Free Press story used the internet way back machine to find Scott
Beardsley's CV his resume from years ago and how it was presented and how it's changed. And they
use that change in presentation to depict that this isn't truly an academic, that this is more
a businessman playing the game we call politics to be named president of the University of
Virginia, which was an ambition or a goal of his all along.
I'm curious at your take on the Augusta Free Press reporting that we'll get to.
They also questioned the Augusta Free Press, the reporting Scott Beardsley's citations of publications,
and they basically call out Beardsley as being someone who, I mean.
Mercenary, wanted the job, did what he could to get it.
Stretched his resume or downright line on his resume is how I read it.
I usually like a lot of what Augusta Free Press has to say.
very left-leaning in its ideology.
Sometimes.
Chris Graham is without question the publisher left-leaning.
Chris would say that.
Not all the reporters are.
But even he has had some, I've found him to have some good moderate takes on things.
He certainly goes after the University of Virginia.
But here I think I've seen some of the arguments for and against some of the accusations they're making.
and it just seems it seems like they're like they're reaching really far on this a scrubbing your
scrubbing your CV of DEI stuff i mean scrubbing the websites of DEI stuff that was
essentially what UVA had to do and anybody especially the dean of the business school
is going to be the first one to comply with something like that so
I don't find it surprising that he would scrub DEI from websites, CVs, whatever.
Then you've got the fact of him making changes to his CV and them acting like it's some,
you know, it's some big deal to, I don't know, either hide things or to create in himself the look
as the best candidate for the job of president.
But as others have noted, that's what you do when.
you're applying for a job.
He knew that he was,
he knew that he was in a position to take on the seat of president of UVA.
And to say that he shouldn't have been changing his resume to fit the job that he was trying to get,
unless you can specifically point out things that he has lied about on his resume,
I don't see this as strange at all.
I think you're all over it.
You're on point today.
Updating your resume to match the times or the job you're applying for or the climate of the interview that you're tied to the job you're applying for is normal.
Yeah.
We update resumes.
Resumies change.
People change.
Work experience changes.
Language choice changes.
And matters depending on the job you're going for.
100%. I have no beef with updating the resume. No beef of changing the CV. Did Beardsley probably
stretch the publications, his, what is it called, is authored entries? As an academic,
your academic reputation or your academic prowess is tied to how much research you publish.
did he stretch some of his publication, his authored accomplishments?
Probably.
But you want to know something?
How many people put your hand in the air and wave them around if you just don't care?
Have something on your resume that's been a bit embellished.
Now, the response to that is, yeah, you're applying to be the assistant manager at Botto's Bagels.
or you're applying to be an account executive at a consulting firm,
not president of the University of Virginia.
You can't stretch anything.
We just highlighted Board of Visitors communicating via text message
and calling their peers on the board, horses' asses.
These are human beings.
Just because the man is applying to me,
the President of the University of Virginia,
doesn't mean he doesn't understand the concept of stretching on a resume.
Jim Ryan has shown John Kavanaugh.
Castine has shown tremendous, tremendous human air.
Castine's reputation, I'm not going to talk about it on the show.
His skeletons at the closet speak for themselves.
You spent enough time in Charlottesville, I've been here 26 years,
arrived as a suit at the University of Virginia when John Castine was the president of UVA.
The rumor mill is peppered with stories about John Castine and some of the skeletons in that man's closet.
peppered
to air is humid
okay
so I appreciate all the content
I think
I'm surprised Heafi is saying
that Beardsley is going to be done
I think
we're at the
just the beginning of this storyline
nowhere near the end
I think Heafi is just reading the tea leaves
which is what we do on this show all the time
comments come in
very quickly let's get to a few
the comments. Kevin
Ansey.
He says, I don't know if you all are
old enough to remember the baby swap
scandal. UVA has the power
and money to just make stories go away.
That was a huge deal then.
In a couple of weeks, it was gone.
Anything bad press at UVA is
suddenly gone. The University
of Virginia health system, this happened when I was a
youngster. They mistakenly
swapped babies
and gave one baby
to a mom and another baby to another
mom and swap the babies. Big scandal. I do remember that. Kevin DeNzi. I appreciate your comments on the
program always. Janice Boyce Trevillian, her photo on screen. I worked for a smallish hospital,
she says, in Baltimore years ago, a hospital group. They were in negotiations to merge with
another group. Their hospital administrator was caught skimming large sums of money. Instead of
prosecuting him, they paid him off. They did not want the public to find him.
out or the other group they were merging with to find out. I left there quickly thereafter.
I have been told, I said this on Friday show, I said this on Thursday show, I have been told
that Dr. Kent had his contract paid off in full. I have been told his contract was paid in full
by sources and he walked with $5 million when he resigned under duress as embattled CEO of
UVA health in a nondescript after hours board of visitors meeting he walked with five million
and was instructed as part of that settlement to never speak of the scandal again that's what i've
been told has happened deep throat he says i wouldn't blame scott beardsley for tailoring a resume
or a cv for a job reminds me of something that happened to my my wife she applied for a grant a few years back
reviewers were like, this is good, but tell us more how this serves DEI objectives.
It didn't really, but she came up with some word salad.
Then all grants were put on hold by Trump.
A couple months later, she's told we are turning this grant back on, but do us a favor
and take out the word salad on DEI.
That reminds me of the tenant we had that was in biotechnology that got behind on their rent.
We had to sell their equipment for pennies on the dollar prior to Trump and
DOJ and you know federal funding being at risk. The UVA labs were all over the equipment we were
selling for pennies on the dollar because it had value. Then they were told they couldn't spend
any more money and now we're left with $25,000 or $30,000 in equipment that I don't know what to
do with. If you have anyone that wants some biotechnology equipment, we'll sell it to you for
25 cents on the dollar. You're not going to be able to find equipment like this online. It's
pretty damn good. We'd love to recoup some of our lease losses, ladies and gentlemen.
Judah Whitcower, anything else you want to add to the show? As Tina Whitebeard and
Breed and Rennie O'Neill are giving us some prompts.
Not really about the Beardsley thing. I mean, I think he probably, his days are probably
numbered. I hope he gets the kind of payout that Craig Kent and Jim Ryan are getting
from UVA.
Love him or hate him.
He's in the middle of a
of a
and you know what storm.
And he deserves something for his troubles, I think.
And speaking of Tim Heafie,
he's excited to announce the launch of his new firm.
Heafy Smith, Harback, and Wyndham,
a full service boutique dedicated
to providing comprehensive investigations
and litigation services to both private
and public sector clients.
congratulations on your new namesake law firm, Tim.
Respect for you, sir.
Next headline, Judah Wickhara, what do you got?
Next up, we have a story about a company trying to build a new gas plant in Fluvana County.
Set the stage, Judah, Wicara.
Tanaska is a company that has already built one gas plant there,
and they are looking to build a second gas plant.
there is a discussion going on about whether to try to block the second build-out as they've done a study,
which has shown that this plant, I don't know if there have been trouble, if there's been trouble from the first plant,
but this one has an estimated health cost to local residents of anywhere from,
I think it's a $500 million to a billion dollars in health costs in the next not too long amount of time.
That's quite a bit.
Over the plan's estimated 30-year lifespan, costs could total between $500 million and $1 billion in health-related people getting asthma.
people having problems breathing.
Just, you know, the types of things that you are glad you find out about before you allow a company to start building.
So I hope that if these health-related cost estimates are correct,
that there is some serious discussion before moving on with this project.
Amen, brother.
Amen, brother.
Next headline, Judewick Care, what do you got?
Let's see. We've got, there's a great story, a good UVA story.
UVA students are helping to keep 50-year-old Hartwood books open as the original owner is.
Is that on Ellywood Avenue?
Yes, it is.
Aging out of the ability to keep the place running by himself.
Keeping a bookstore open, that is yeoman's work.
Jackson Landers keeping open the bookstore right next to the I Love Seville Studio.
What bookstore is that?
Is that Daedalus Books?
Dettalus, yeah.
Yeah, on the corner of Fourth in Market.
Jackson Landers trying to preserve Sandy McAdams's legacy.
I want to give some love to Conan Owen, Sir Speedy of Central Virginia.
Conan Owen of Surspeedia, Central Virginia is who you contact for anything signage-related,
anything direct mail related, anything land yard-related, vinyl lettering related,
and banner-related.
He has helped our tenant portfolio, 24 doors,
with our tenants and their signage needs.
The banner behind me is a Sir Speedy special,
and the vinyl lettering on our I Love Seville Studio
is Conan Owen and Sir Speedy,
locally owned and operated and Darden Graduate,
A-plus Guy, Conan Owen, Sir Speedy, Central Virginia.
One other tidbit I'd like to get out of the notebook,
Chandler Morris, denied a seventh year of out.
How's this for an interesting wrinkle?
Chandler Morris, who wants to quarterback the Virginia football team for a seventh year.
It would be a seventh year of playing college football, denied over the weekend by the NCAA.
The backup quarterback for the University of Virginia, Danny Kalin, entered the transfer portal
despite being a contender for the starting job here in Charlottesville.
He's transferring to Nebraska, the college that initially recruited him and signed him out of high school.
Now Danny Kalin will battle for the starting job.
for the starting job with the Nebraska Cornhuskers,
with another former UVA quarterback, Anthony Calandria.
Calandria transferred from UNLV,
where he was the Mountain West Player of the Year,
to Nebraska.
So Kalan and Kalandria, toe to toe for the starting job
in the Cornhuskers program,
both of them former University of Virginia quarterbacks.
What a wild, wild time to be tied to the University of Virginia
and colleges and universities in our country.
Judah Wickhauer, job well done by you.
Tomorrow's program, the Jerry and Jerry show at 10.15 a.m.
The I Love Seville Show at 1230.
We are making a push, if you have not noticed,
of publishing as much news as possible on the I Love Seville Network
as we reinforce our position as the water cooler of content and conversation
in Charlottesville and Central Virginia.
For Judah Wickhauer, my name is Jerry Miller.
So long, everybody.
Thank you.
