This, the water cooler of content and conversation on a glorious Thursday afternoon in downtown Charlottesville. This is the number one media platform in Charlottesville, and it's not even close. The numbers don't lie.

This show right now is airing live on 27 social media and podcasting platforms. Legacy media does not do this. There's no one doing this, and we do it in what is. is about an hour, Monday through Friday, 1230 to 1.30. Oftentimes, it's more than an hour. And we ask you, the viewer and listener, to shape the discussion. I want you to envision the future of news. The future of news is not a 30-minute broadcast at set times where you have to capture it in real-time,

30 minutes where it's only 22 minutes of content and only 30 seconds per story, maybe 60 seconds or 90 seconds for the lead story of the day. 22 minutes of content delivered by 22 or 23-year-olds is not news. What's news is a host like yours truly that's been in this market for 26 years that's plugged in, that's connected, that's doing deals, that's doing brokerage, that's talking to 15 or 20 movers and shakers, elected officials, appointed officials, bankers, financiers, developers, designers, small business owners, non-profit owners, and they're passing along information to him saying maybe you should consider this.

I was getting text messages last night from a mover and shaker locally. Very significant mover and shaker locally. I won't utilize his name and he said, I need you to galvanize the fan base to participate in this call-to-action event that we have coming up that's going to really, you know, shine a spotlight on Almara County Public Schools and ask for the resignation of someone locally. That's the kind of messaging we get. Then we take it further and we ask you, the viewer and listener, we ask you, you, the viewer and listener, to help us shape what we're talking about.

If we're missing something, send it to us. If you're one of the key members in our family, the deep throats or the John Blair's, the Carol Thorpe's, the Vanessa Parkhills, the Carly Wagners, the handsome Hank Martins, the William McChesney's, the mayor of McIntyre, we vet you, we trust you after working alongside you with the content you send us, and then we feature it. Because there's no organization locally that can ever match what a 300,000-person region can provide with content. It's called crowdsourcing. So that's kind of what we've done here, and I think today's show epitomizes it. The Chandler Bakery news is devastating.

And look, I'm going to be straightforward here. 31 years of business for Chandler's bakery, three generations of family running this beloved bakery. We've seen the roller coaster ride of small business at Chandler's. It's not unique to Chandler's. It's the roller coaster ride of being a small business owner. They made it through COVID. They took on considerable debt during the pandemic.

they were significant masking proponents during COVID and even coming out of COVID. The product, we've seen the ebbs and flows of the product line of quality of customer service, of friendliness of stock. But what we can say of Chandler's bakery is it's been there for 31 years. It's an institutional, it's part of our institutional memory. It's a local icon. and when businesses locally that have three generations plus of serving our community through the great, the very good, the good, the average, the below average and maybe the bad,

it's the showing up every day that really matters. I talk about this with some of our clients. Some of our clients, and we're working with businesses that are doing, you know, they're coming to market. haven't even you know done a transaction or a sale we got one client on our roster that is 150 million in top line revenue okay i got another client on our roster i have no idea the top line revenue that stanley martin holmes is doing stanley martin homes is a partner of the show we'll give them a plug they've done over 600 homes design developed built in the charlottesville almoreland

central virginia area and no idea what their top line revenue They're a partner of the show. They're doing honest business, communicative business, innovative home building. They're doing nearly 50 homes in the Fry Springs neighborhood and nearly 80 homes outside of Glenmore at Breezy Hills. Stanley Bart is the most significant designer, builder and developer locally, folks. Period, bar none. No idea what their top line revenue is. They're a partner of the show.

But there's other businesses where we're like, roll up our sleeves, like, perverse- verbally stuffing the sausage of the business, seeing the interior, the guts of what their day-to-day is. One of our clients that we're doing this, providing this, you know, growing market share strategy and consultation for us is well over $100 million in top line revenue. Okay? And one of the things that's consistent with all our businesses, the startups, the small caps, I would say the extent of what we're working for is a mid-cap, is, is, is, has, having or finding labor.

Okay, that's something that's really come up. We can't find the labor. We can't find folks to work. We can't find folks to work. Then once they find the folks to work, they're like they won't show up. They're not consistent with their show up every day. A Chandler's Bakery, 31 years of business, folks, they've shown up every day. And that is a lot harder than you think when running a small business because fatigue

and burnout is a very real factor. You're doing the same work every day. And I would ask you, the viewer and listener, if you can think of the small business categories, the silos, the verticals of small business locally, the bakery business, you're looking at one of your hardest businesses to run. We helped our clients, Chris and Tracy Crowley,

purchased Great Harvest Bakery from the previous owner and founder, Eylee. And my clients, Chris and Tracy, who are doing a fantastic job in the McIntyre Plaza. Soon they will open a location of the downtown mall in the old Wells Fargo ATM and the Wells Fargo building. I helped broker that lease, put that deal together. Labor is slowing that down. They're paying rent on the space. They need to find labor. That's a lot of people. But in the conversations I've had with them, they knew the bakery business was going to be tough. Early hours, 3 a.m., 4 a.m. arrival every day. But doing it every single day consistently is not something you realize how difficult it is until you are there with your alarm clock ringing at 2.30 in the morning. So you get up and you get to your bakery by 3.15, 5, 6, 7 days a week.

The bakery business is as challenging as it gets, and Chandler's did it for 31 years. We champion and celebrate Chandler's for doing it for 31 consecutive years. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to talk about that on the program today. I want to weave Judah Wickhauer into the show, the Jack of All Wits, the Jack of All Trades, Judah Wickhauer, a household name, the studio camera first. I'm proud of our studio, Judah. equipment we've piecemeal together over time. We didn't do this all at once.

What is the headline that's most intriguing to you today on the water cooler of content and conversation? I'm definitely interested in this back and forth between Berlin and Hingley. It's certainly interesting. and I'm not sure why

why Chair Berlin is continuing after Commonwealth's attorney Jim Hingley's response. Jim Hingley is watching the program right now. The Commonwealth's attorney is watching the program right now. He has just issued a statement to us here, to my cell, which I'm going to read,

on the talk show here, Jim Hingley, who I have said on this program five dozen times. I mean, how many times have I said that two-term Commonwealth's attorney, Jim Hingley, is honest, communicative, man of integrity, a man back with experience, a man who cares about Almore County, a man who doesn't want to enter into a public brouhaha, a man who has, who got pulled into a public brouhaha, this backyard brawl by the school board, because the school board issued a statement calling out his office. So he had to issue a rebuttal because he had to stand up for the credibility, the integrity, and the brand that is the Amarral County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.

He had no choice. Here's the statement he issued to us here at the I Love Seville Network in real time. I will read it verbatim. This is Jim Hingley's words. As mentioned in my letter to school board chair Berlin, I will not be engaging in a public debate on the issues raised in the correspondence between me and Chair Berlin, including the timing of the release of the Title IX report. The school board complies with what it determines are its legal obligations,

and the Commonwealth Attorney Office does the same. We will continue to pursue justice for the victims and the community in these cases, end quote. Exact words from Jim Hinchley watching the program and a statement issued to me live live on air. We'll get to the text message that just came in from a client

after the show here, J. Dobs. I said this on yesterday's program and I'm going to be very succinct and I'm going to open it up to comment here, Deep Throat, Carol Thorpe, handsome Hank Martin. We have print, radio, and television watching the show right now. I got a counselor of the city watching the program

to Elmore County Board of Supervisors watching the program. I got a school board member watching the program. The timing of Chair Berlin's letter and the fact that it was released to me, the media, before it was, before Jim Hingley was given a chance to respond and to coordinate an offline, off the record meeting between the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and the school board is not only unfortunate and not only unprofessional, but it's a microcosm of poor leadership. Poor leadership. We have seen throughout this alleged child sex scandal, incompetent leadership and leadership

missteps. We've seen it with the principal who's now resigned. We've seen it with the superintendent who's now resigned with the Golden Parachute. We saw it with Kada Kuff with the beginning of the year, was told by Superintendent Matthew Haas, that the police are investigating the school system, and Kada Kuff chose to remain quiet and do nothing about it. I would bet you that at Haleemite Elementary, there's some mandated reporting that did not happen by administrators, teachers, assistants, someone on payroll at Hale Meade Elementary.

The only people that knew about this must not have been Joe McCauley and Mike Sweeney. If you remember the playback of the video that we did of the Holly Meade Town Hall when Matt Haas was there, when the interim Almore County police chief was there, when the communications director of Almore County was there, and when Principal McCauley was there, there was apparent. there was someone that spoke up. And one of the people that spoke up in the public comments portion, there were two teachers at Holly Mead that spoke up. And if we played back that footage,

and Jim Hingley, I would encourage you in your office to take a look at this. I'm sure you already have. We have that footage on our computer that we could play. We have it saved in our cloud. We should probably find it for tomorrow's show. In that Holly Meade Town Hall, there's an Holly Meade teacher that says, I found it extremely odd that Mike Sweeney was sitting in on these meetings and was given this tremendous amount of responsibility.

This tremendous amount of private time and one-on-one time with these elementary age students. And she said in this Holly Meade Town Hall, and I'm paraphrasing it here, we'll play it back for the viewers and listeners perhaps on tomorrow's show. please make a mark of this. This is a, this is producer production work. This is what an executive producer does here. That's your title here. We play back the clip of the teacher from the town hall saying something seemed really, really off to me. I would like to dissect and analyze her exact words and a male who was also a teacher at that town hall. Two teachers spoke. We now should with a fine-tooth comb see what they said

on the record in that town hall to parents, to police, to Almore County superintendents, Matt Haas, disgraced and resigned now, and his lieutenants. Because if memory serves correctly, the female teacher who

garnered the round of the applause, round of applause from the parents, because she was authentic and honest and straightforward and said, we made an awful mistake, I'm sorry, and we will work extremely hard to regain your trust. I believe in her message, she made a comment that said, I knew something was off, and I didn't do anything about it.

And I'm not trying to get anyone in hot water. But I can assure you that there was mandatory reporters that did not document or paper the trail. I can assure you, I want to play that back on tomorrow's show. We have it. We can find it either from our YouTube channel or the raw file that's saved on the external hard drive or in our cloud. That happened in early June if you need a timestamp to search for it. It was long footage. We take that footage, especially if it's on, if we're using YouTube, we could puppet through Claude, chat, GBT, or Gemini. And we can ask Claude, chat, GBT, or Gemini to timestamp or take us to the, exact moment on and during that footage on when she spoke.

That would save you the effort. Let's work smart, not hard instead of going through two hours of raw footage. Well, I've got the, I've got clips for nine, nine sections. You have them in front of you right now? Yeah. You have them, God. But they're just, but they're just labeled one through nine. Do we, are we able on the fly during this show right here to figure out

which one is the female teacher that spoke and play it? Or would it be a complete crapshoot? Because we just enabled it one through nine. And that was me who labeled it one through nine, because during that show I'd said, I said, play clip eight, play clip nine. She spoke toward the end. Are you at all on the fly able to play this? The Almore County Public Schools YouTube channel, they've deleted

the Holly Mead Parent Town Hall. I literally have gotten this text message. Almore County Public Schools has removed the Holly Mead Parent Town Hall video footage from its YouTube channel and has tried to eradicate and erase

it from the internet in all capacities. We have that footage, do we not? Yeah. That was, was it from June 10th. That sounds about right. I'm going to Jev and I because when I'm the clipped the clipped

videos that I have are 612, June 12th, which makes sense if we took a day or two to It's been removed from YouTube. It's been they've removed it from YouTube search. Holly, me Ella. It's wild. I've got

it's an hour and 38 minutes. The original clip that I've Do you have the one with the female teacher? This is literally happening in real time in front of thousands of people. This could be evidence

used in the case. Leadership transition, Holly Meade Elementary Town Hall. Do you have, when was it? Do you have it, Judah? Do I have what? The teacher. The female teacher. I'm looking. All right, put the K to Puff Lower Third in. I'll offer some

commentary. It was June 10th. The primary community listening session and town hall meeting regarding Halle Elementary was held on June 10th, 2026 at Hollimedia Elementary School. Is that the timestamp you have? What's that? Is June 10th the timestamp you have? That's the original, yeah. That's the file. We have the raw file that's been removed from the Amarral County School Board YouTube page. Yeah. Sleep with one eye open tonight, Judah.

I don't want anybody ripping off an external hard drive over here for fear of civil lawsuit and the punitive and financial damages that come with this footage. Kada Koff, lower third on screen. I, I, do we not have to call for her resignation? On Friday of last week, I demanded K to Cuff or whoever on the school board to inform the community, who was told by Haas in the beginning of the year. That was Friday show.

We got off air at 1.30 p.m. By 4 p.m., after I said I was going to lump all the female school board members, because we know it was a woman, into the same paint-brushed, paint-brushed, brain. as gutless and cowardless for not standing up and saying it was me that found out at the beginning of the year and I did nothing. By 4 p.m. this past Friday, Kada Kuff had issued a statement saying, I knew. I was told. That was two and a half hours after I got off air.

We are now six days later. And does a cuff not need to resign? she's told by Superintendent Matthew Haas at the beginning of the year that the Admiral County Police Department is investigating the Almore County Public Schools

and she chose to be quiet and do nothing about it. Are we to believe that the extent of what Katea Cuff knew at the beginning of the year was the police are asking questions of our school system

and did she do the three monkeys emoji? Is that what she did? Look at the screen. Is this what Cata Cuff did in the beginning of the year? The three monkeys emoji? Look at the screen. Cover my ears. Cover my eyes.

Cover my mouth. I don't want to know anything else, Matthew Haas. And if she did that, isn't that damning as well? A Cuff's resignation needs to be offered by close of business tomorrow. One week after she explained to everyone, that she did nothing. Don Gathers is watching the program. When a Charlottesville's most prolific and known activist,

tremendous respect for Don Gathers, his photo on screen, if possible. What's that? Don Gathers. Are you listening to the playback of the raw footage? Yeah. Gosh, you're doing the, you're doing Yomans work right now. I've got, uh, I wonder if the footage that you have over here will be subpoenaed.

I've got a, I've got a clip where she's apologizing and, but I don't, I didn't hear her specifically say that she knew there was a problem. Are you listening to the whole clip? Or is it just the sizzle reel that we cut from her speech? Her public comments, the teachers? It's the cut. Okay, but you have the entire raw file? Yeah.

Gosh, I have never been so happy for you being a digital store, a digital hoarder, taking up our cloud space that cost us money and pushing me to buy external hard drives because we're hoarding raw footage that's extremely consuming with memory space. This is the one time where digital hoarding seems to have worked to our absolute advantage.

I'll segue into another topic because we have other things that we need to get to. I think it's pretty clear that it's pretty clear that something is trying to be, that they're trying to hide something if they remove it from the school board, the Almero County Public Schools YouTube channel. Yeah. How often do you delete YouTube videos unless there's something you don't want people to see on them? Why would they do that? Other than not wanting people to watch it, I don't know, but we have it saved.

Patrick McAdams is watching the program. The Emerald County School Board is fully cooked. These people appear incapable of transparency or of safeguarding the public trust. It's time for a vote of no confidence. And that's happening now. There's a percentage that need to sign a petition to remove. a school board member from office, and that percentage, and someone help me out with this, viewers and listeners, deep throat, viewer and listener, the viewer and listener who is doing this

knows exactly what I'm talking about. I haven't utilized your name here, but there's a percentage that is tied to the overall votes that you garnered in your race and your election. If a percentage sign a petition, you can then be forced to. off the board. Can someone give me that exact legal language so I can offer it on air? I don't have that, but I do know there's a clawback here. I don't know if Deep Throat

can offer that. Frankly, the individual that's thinking about do it. All right, let's go to Deep Throat. Deep Throat calls Deep Throat calls Rebecca Berlin and Katea Cuff and Allison Spilman.

The wine mom, PhD, says this. Wine mom. Mr. Hingley suggests the school division should have delayed sharing the outside Title IX report until a later time. We would not do that, and it is worth being clear about why, Berlin said in an email. Once a determination is issued in a Title IX complaint, we are legally obligated to provide it to both the complaint and the respondent at the same time. That's what Berlin's words. Deep Throat says, but at the same time, the board could say they couldn't be honest. honest with the public about Sweeney because there was a criminal investigation ongoing.

They blamed the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office for this, which the Commonwealth Attorney's Office then said was bullocks. Too much Chardonnay, Becky Berlin. You can't keep your lie straight. Get out of here, lady. Deep throat. Over there. I don't know if I want to read this part. Deep Throat. He says if you don't have the full video, you can FOIA it. If they destroyed that full video, that's an even bigger scandal and a public records law violation. And as you point out, stuff said in that meeting could come into play in trial, so it's a pretty, it's pretty serious to destroy it. Then he says it's Virginia Code 24.2-233. And he says he helps me here. You need to get signatures equivalent to 10% of Kada Cuff's total votes. And if you can get

signatures of 10% of her total votes, then Kada Koff will be forced to resign or quit the school board. So Kada Koff, let's see how many total votes did she have. Kada Koff, Almorel County, School Board, Seville

Pedia. Total votes. Kada Kada Koff. She's Jack Jewett District. They don't have the updated one? I'm looking at the Virginia Department of elections.

Okay. What do you got over there? Let's see. Cade a cuff. 2025 won the race for school board and Charlottes County School Board District Admiral County. How many total votes did you get?

4,631 votes. You're on VPAT? Unopposed. You're on VPAT? Of course you ran on opposed. No. Historical.elections. Virginia.gov.

So 10% would be 463 signatures. It's not a whole lot. What race do you have? And we're obviously doing it on the fly. I have Kate a Cuff, unopposed, local with 3,651 votes. That was the 2021 general election. Okay. So the four years from there would be 2025. Yeah. And in that, she got 4,631. 4,600. What? 4,631. So she, we would need 4166. 61? Is that the number? Number. 463 votes.

463 signatures. It's not a lot. That's not a lot at all. 463 signatures and she's off the board. Apparently. 463 signatures, viewers and listeners. Is there a viewer and listener in the I Love Seville viewing public or listening public that's going to lead that charge?

And if you're going to lead that charge, if Katea Cuff doesn't, meet our ask of resigning by close of business tomorrow, then someone in the viewing and listening public on Monday or Tuesday should lead a charge to garner 463 signatures. Let's do that on Monday or Tuesday of next week, and we'll utilize this platform to help accumulate those signatures and drive interest. I would not be surprised if that list is already getting created right now.

Are those 463 signatures tied to the Jack Jewett District? Are those 463 signatures tied to Almore County in totality? Like Allison Spillman was the at-large representative. So those signatures would be Almore County in totality. Kada Cuff's Jack Jewett District. That's a good question. Are those 463 signatures specific to the Jack Jewett District? That may make it a little bit more challenging, obviously.

Deep throat. offering some intel, smart guy, this deep throat guy, smart guy. And the standard for accumulating signatures to ask for someone to be removed is this. For neglect of a clear ministerial duty of the office, misuse of the office, or incompetence in the performance of the duties of the office, when that neglect of duty, misuse of office, or incompetence in the performance of duties, has a material adverse effect upon the conduct of the office.

Yeah. And then he goes, Jerry, I think she's met this standard. Yes, she absolutely has met this standard. Then Deep Throat adds, it isn't 10% of the vote she received, but 10% of the number of voters in that election. Okay.

10% of the number of voters in that election. In this case, aren't they the same? So how many total voters in the school board election for her district? Oh. So how many total voters in the school board election for her district.

So it's 10% of, so deep throat. Answer, give me a yes or no on this. Is it 10% of total voters in the Jack Jewett district, whether they voted in that race or not? Or? Or is it 10% of the people that voted in that election? because if it's 10% of total voters, whether they voted in the race or not,

that's a hell of a lot more. It's a very different number. It's also, and I can't imagine. So he's offering intel. Go ahead, Judah. And then he's got it. I just say, I can't imagine that some people voted and didn't vote for the school board.

Which would be a third option. Here's the intel. This is from a very smart person. Signatures have to come from specifically jacking. Jewett. But she was unopposed. So that means 10% of the people who voted in the Jack Jewett election in 2025 specifically. So 10% of those that voted for her.

What was the right? No, she had, there was, there was, it had to be right in votes, right? Were there no right in votes? It doesn't give that information. It says unopposed. I've got nothing. and opponents received at least 1% of vote, but I don't know. It's got to be tied to the Jack Jewett. Look at this. This is what the show is all about. You see this, viewers and listeners?

This is what the show is all about. We're crowdsourcing this for our betterment. Go ahead. Even if there was a write-in, I doubt that multiple people wrote in the same name and ended up with a significant number. 100%. The right-in is minuscule, but it still needs to be tallied. I mean, I think you're probably looking at if you've got 400, roughly 500 signatures specifically tied to the Jack Jua District. I don't say it's a lot less than that.

If you've got, if you need 463 just to get 10% of her votes, you can't say that there are hundreds of right-ins that are all wrote in the same number of people. Well, in the election previous, there was 200 right-ins votes. I mean, that brings us up to, what, 483? Yeah, so we'll call it roughly 500 people in the Jack Jewett District. If roughly 500 people in the Jack Jewett District,

she's off the board. Look, can I use your name who, okay, I'm going to ask them, can I use your name on this text? I'm texting somebody who's sending us information. Can I, can I? Someone's sending me information. Okay. This person asked that I not utilize their name.

And that's what the problem was with Tufts in the courtroom, is that Sweeney's lawyer was pointing to the Title IX report and its assessment and saying they didn't find any reason to charge him. So that's why you should let him out on bail. Sweeney's lawyer was utilizing the Title IX report to get Sweeney out of the slammer and on bail. The Commonwealth's attorney's office did not want Sweeney out of the slammer. And the Commonwealth's attorney's office basically took the Title IX report and shredded it and called out its credibility and its legitimacy. And they had to do that, the Commonwealth's attorney's office, because they wanted Sweeney to stay in jail, as he should stay in jail. And look, he's innocent until proven guilty.

These are all alleged defenses. But the alleged offenses against this man, this man should not be walking the streets of Almore County. near a computer on the internet around children, even his own. But it wasn't just the Title IX report. It was also the assessment of the Title IX report that the ACPS called for. Tufts, the Admiral County Commonwealth's attorney, lieutenant, deputy, deputy, had to attack the legitimacy and the credibility of the Title IX report. He did so because they didn't want Sweetie out on

Everywhere on the corner was locally owned and operated. Nothing was a chain. or big box brand or own and operated by anyone outside of Charlottesville. Yeah. Now you go to the UVA corner. Go to the UVA corner viewers and listeners. Go there. On the corner now, you got Starbucks.

You got Chipotle. You got Raising Cains. Is the CVS there? Is it Dobo still down there? Cadoba. Codoba. Codoba, I think, is closed. Okay.

Is the UVA student today? enjoying the same kind of localized experience as yesteryear? They may not notice it in the moment, but when they think back, are they going to think fondly of CVS or Starbucks? It'll just be, you know, another generic university corner. And that's sad.

Because the local business is nine times out of ten, not going to be able to compete with an Amazon price point. Or a two-hour delivery price point. And that's what Amazon is betting on.

Amazon is banking on Target and Walmart are going into the same playing field as Amazon. are banking on that your prioritizations of convenience and cheap will always come ahead of your prioritization of the friends and family that own locally owned and operated businesses. And that is devastating for a local ecosystem because it's the locally owned and operated businesses that will support the Little League baseball teams.

When's the last time you've seen Target or Amazon or Walmart on the front shirts of the Little League baseball team or the Little League lacrosse team or the Little League Soccer team. Never.
