Welcome to the I Love Seville Show, guys. My name is Jerry Miller. Thank you kindly for joining us on the water cooler of content and conversation. This is the I Love Seville Show, the number one ranked media platform in Charlottesville, Almaro County, and across central Virginia. And folks, it's not even close. Today, we're very excited and very much looking forward to connecting with you, the viewer, and listener on the program. We encourage you, the viewer and listener, to,
participate in the show, pass along your content ideas, pass along your talking points.
We want to be the water cooler. We don't need to break the news, nor do we strive to break the news.
We want to offer opinion and commentary alongside you, the viewer and listener, the star of the show,
on the program Monday through Friday, 1230 to 130 and change. Today's program embodies what we're
talking about. There's talking points and ideas on the show that I'm looking forward to passing
along to you, some from viewers and listeners. I'll give you a quick rundown on the show,
then we'll take deep dives on today's topics. Today is the last day for Tentown. Freebridge,
under Freebridge, on East High Street, at Zero East High Street, there are multiple encampments.
Tent Town will be torn down.
Tentown tenants will be evicted.
Tentown, torched and torn down.
Alliteration, one of my favorite things, yes.
They will be transitioned the city hopes to 2000 Holiday Drive.
If they do not leave Tentown by tomorrow, September 1st, they face Tentown tenants, arrests, and prosecution.
I'm curious to see how this plays out.
We all should be curious to see how this plays out.
Not only is this one of the most significant stories of the last handful of years, certainly post-COVID.
We have a significant amount of taxpayer resources, opportunity, cost of money, time, and effort into this soap opera.
We'll see if the tent town tenants migrate to 2000 Holiday Drive.
Do I think they will?
Some, yes.
All, no.
Is there going to be drama?
Absolutely.
Do I feel for the businesses around 2000 Holiday Drive without question?
We saw last week, Kit Ashy, one of her many restaurants.
She's the most prolific restaurateur in Charlottesville, Almore, and Central Virginia.
She's most known for monsoon on the downtown mall.
She also owns coconuts, maple pine, tangerine kitchen, chameleas, a number of restaurants
Kid Ashy owns.
Her coffee roastery and bar in the old Millie Joe's location had its storefront shattered by a drunken,
homeless man just chose to walk by her business, pick up a chair, and shatter the storefront window
for no reason outside of being drunken and debauchous. I think this is going to have an impact on
the community. And frankly, I think this is going to be one of those storylines that's going to
impact Sam Sanders either from a positive, the city manager, or a damning negative.
The city manager is leading the charge here, the CEO of Charlottesville.
If this implodes and backfires, you are going to see a very, very hot seat for the top executive in Charlestonville.
We'll unpack that story in a couple of minutes.
Also, I want to talk about the murky, uncertain details of the Arizona consultancy that's been hired to run 2000 Holiday Drive.
They'll be offered.
They'll be allocated $3,200,000 of taxpayer resources for one-year work.
anytime a local jurisdiction,
anytime elected officials,
and anytime city management spends taxpayer resources
to the tune of $3,200,000
with a nonprofit organization that is based in Arizona
or any state, for that matter, outside of our community,
even within our community,
we all should hold a microscopic lens over what's happening.
You cannot spend that kind of money $3,200,000 without closely watching what's happening.
Because if we don't, that's how shady things happen.
And I'll leave it at that.
I'm not saying shady things are happening, but $3.2 million for a year's worth of work,
for a homeless problem, that's somewhere between 80 and a couple hundred people is a boatload of money, folks.
We'll talk about the uncertain and murky details with the Arizona consultancy that's been hired to run 2000 Holiday Drive for the next 12 months starting tomorrow on the program today.
I also want to talk headline three needs to be shrunk a little bit.
So the question marks not cut off, please, Judah.
I want to talk headline three, the Almore County School Board members and whether they're now the most disliked elected officials.
Maybe we change dislike to hated.
I mean, that's your call.
It's your editorial discretion there.
Hated is certainly a word that brings much more intensity than disliked.
But are we talking to the school board of Almorel, the most hated elected officials in Central Virginia?
I mean, who, if you're only looking at Central Virginia, you've got a congressman,
you got a handful of delegates, you got city councilors and board of supervisors,
and you've got school board members,
and you got planning commissioners.
Planning commissioners are appointed.
They're not elected, so I think they're removed from the category.
Are we looking at the most hated people,
ladies and gentlemen,
the Almore County School Board in Central Virginia right now?
And I want you to think about how that moniker has transitioned away,
potentially from city counselors to school board members.
And think about how much destruction you have to do
as a school board member to basically embody the moniker most hated in central Virginia.
There are 19 applicants that are on a short list to replace Allison Spillman,
the at-large member who recently resigned.
One of those applicants, you have that list in front of you, right?
is it Steve Colazar.
We mentioned on last week we broke news that was passed on to us by two very reliable sources
that a nearly 80-year-old man was the frontrunner for an open seat on the Almore County School Board.
You see Steve Colzar's name on there?
I do.
Nearly 80 years old and he right now is the frontrunner.
There's a number of other qualified applicants on that list.
We'll spotlight the list of applicants that are,
being considered by active members to fill Allison Spillman's open seat.
Realize the importance of school board members right now.
Not only are they cherry picking, handpicking the replacement for Allison Spillman,
but they are also tasked with the responsibility of hiring a new superintendent of schools.
Just absolutely wild what's going on here and the significance for six people on a board
and what they're doing with the school system that represents roughly full.
55% of Almore County's roughly $750 million yearly budget.
750 million times 55%.
We're talking $400 plus million.
Six people on a school board are responsible for.
Insanity, what's happening.
Let's talk Tom Perriello and John McGuire on today's show.
We'll discuss this as the program matures.
John McGuire, we saw him at the football game on Saturday.
Judah, he was fully clothed on a hot summer August Saturday, opening week for Tony Elliott and the Virginia Cavaliers in a suit, tie, loafers, socks, the whole kitten commoodle.
Outside the football stadium, within the gates at Scott Stadium, shaking hands, kissing babies, and getting to know people.
Say what you want about John McGuire.
he is tenacious, he is consistent, he shows up, he wants this congressional seat, he's the incumbent,
and Tom Perriello realizes he is right now in second place. And as a result, Tom Perriello,
local boy, some circles a golden boy, a son of pediatrician family, Tom Perriello is calling out
John McGuire has called out John McGuire and says,
Johnny Mack, I want a live debate with you, and I want it right now.
John McGuire has not responded to Tom Perriello's challenge, and can you blame him?
Johnny Mack doesn't even do town halls.
For a man that's not even going to do town halls or forums,
why is he going to do a live debate with Tom Periello,
who's clearly in second place in this congressional race?
We'll talk about that on the program today,
and I also want to highlight two other topics, a downtown condominium of the luxury variety
and the Randolph condominium building down Market Street recently closed at $1,155,000.
And I want to discuss the economic impact of UVA football, which is looking like a top 25 football team.
We watched that game.
We watched very closely.
The quarterback bow prebula looks like if he can stay healthy,
is going to be an absolute animal on the gridiron for Tony Elliott.
They have depth that running back.
They have an offensive line that's the AARP of offensive line,
six years and seven years and eight years on that offensive line.
They have a quarterback that's experience.
They've got a tight end that can play,
a defense that's suffocating,
and a boatload of talent on this roster and a boatload of depth,
ladies and gentlemen.
You might be looking at a top 20, top 15,
maybe a team that can contend for a college football playoff invitation here with Tony Elliott's crew.
He's in his fifth season in Charlottesville last year and 11 win season.
The most victories in program history for a single campaign.
And Tony Elliott, through the first game of the season, it's early, I know it's early,
but through the first game of the season, looks like he has as talented a football team
as maybe we've seen in Charlottesville at the University of Virginia.
and a team that could, if the cookie crumbles the right way, contend for a college football
playoff.
Let's highlight Conan Owen and Sir Speedy, Central Virginia.
Conan and his firm, Sir Speedy Central Virginia, are locally owned and operated.
Conan is a Darden School graduate.
Conan is Hispanic.
Conan, Owen, and Sir Speedy of Central Virginia are the signage firm, the graphics firm
that we choose, handpicked our firm.
to do the banner that's directly behind us,
to do the signage for our tenant portfolio that is 24 doors,
and to manage our clients that are looking at office space
with our clients that are landlords.
Conan Owen and Sir Speedy, Central Virginia are who you contact for anything.
Direct mail, merchandise, signage, stickers, lanyards, uniforms, hats, merch, you name it.
Sir Speedy, Central Virginia, locally owed and operated.
Studio camera, Judah Wickhauer.
Two-shot, Judah Wickower,
as we welcome the Jack of all wits,
a man that needs absolutely no introduction,
a household name across central Virginia,
a man that's got more J-Crewb button-down shirts
than anybody I know.
He's got multiple pairs of glasses
that he likes to rotate into his ensemble.
Judah Wick-Hour, my friend, on a Monday afternoon,
which headline is most intriguing to you and why?
Well, I would love to hear
I'd love to hear Perryiello and McGuire go at it.
I think that could be an interesting debate.
Let me answer to this.
We've had John McGuire on our show.
In a live debate scenario,
who would you give the edge there?
Tom Perreello or John McGuire.
Probably Perryiello, I mean,
but it's been a long time since I've heard Perryiello talk.
I think it's clear-cut slam dunk.
Tom Perriello is going to edge John McGuire in a live debate.
a live debate with unscripted questions or questions that have not provided to the candidates beforehand.
If these are literally an independent moderator that's asking questions that have not been given to the respective candidates beforehand,
Periello is going to win that debate.
Why, if you're John McGuire, and you're ahead in the polls right now,
you're the incumbent in a conservative red-leading fifth district that's larger than four or five states in the free union,
why would you ever acquiesce to a Tom Perriello live debate?
Especially this close.
I mean, goodness gracious, September, October, we are what, 60 some days away from election day?
Yeah.
And midterms?
I mean, John McGuire, if he does nothing else besides bring his pickup truck and his John
McGuire sign to the busiest intersections in central Virginia,
attend home UVA football games where he's shaking hands and kissing babies
and basically just keeps his head down between now and, when is it, November 3rd,
Tuesday, election day, he's the frontrunner.
It's Perry Yellow that's got to shake things up because he's behind.
This shows you Perry Yellow's challenge of Johnny Mack in the live debate
that Tommy P. is behind and knows he's behind.
He knows he's behind.
and that's why he needs it.
I'm not going to say it's going to be a Joe Biden,
Donald Trump type of live debate
where that's when America started realizing
we have weekend at Bernies with Joe Biden
when he was next to a Cheetoed kissed Donald Trump,
comb over Donald Trump,
but weekend at Bernice looked way worse on a national stage
than Cheetoed kiss comb over Donald Trump did.
And that's when the Dems are like,
we got to pull weekend at Bernice.
We can't just put the Raybans on
and have him saunter and stagger
into restaurants, into bars, into live
debates, into meet and greets
with, what?
Pelosi and
Kamala holding them up side
to side. We got to sub
Kamala in for Biden, and that's what happened.
Johnny Mack would be crazy,
crazy, crazy, crazy to do
a live debate with Tom Perriello,
who is a professional politician.
John McGuire
is not a professional politician, at least not yet.
He's a military veteran.
John McGuire is learning to be a politician.
Tom Perry-Yellow is a professional politician.
Who goes into a gunfight with Billy the Kid?
Who goes into a gunfight with Jesse James?
Who goes into a gunfight with the Earp brothers?
I don't.
I stand from a fault.
at the OK corral at one of the second floor saloon windows with a sniper rifle shooting downward.
That's how I would fight the Earp brothers and Billy the Kid and the Cowboys and Jesse James,
not toe to toe with my spurs and my boots and my sashet and my Stetson cowboy hat.
That's not how I would do it.
Prove me wrong.
I'm not going to prove you wrong.
I think you're right on pretty much all counts of that.
That doesn't change the fact that I'd...
I'd love to see it too.
Not only would I like to see them debate,
I would like to hear what they have to say.
Obviously, we don't know what the questions would be either.
And, you know, I would like to be...
I like to know about the politicians that I'm not.
potentially voting for, whether they're on the left or the right. And I think too often,
you know, considerations like this where, oh, I'm not a good debater or whatever the considerations
are, whether it's not having good answers or just not, you know, not be, like, I want my politicians
to be approachable, approachable, but also knowledgeable. Like, why are you voting for, you know,
why are you voting for something that Trump's put forward?
Is it because you just vote whatever the right votes for?
Or is it because you have some skin in the game and you feel a certain way about the X policy?
You know, I would like to know those things.
Like when I go in too often, when I go into the voting booth beforehand, I'll, you know,
I'll do my research on the candidates.
But there's not really any information except, you know, this guy.
We are the research.
But we're not the research.
We are the research.
No, we're not.
People are asking us how and why and where.
I get that question more than just about.
We have never gone over candidates before.
Oh my gosh, we talk about the candidates all the time.
We literally have one of the candidates that are of the night,
one of the 19 applicants for school board is literally going to be here in 20 minutes to talk with us.
We're not going to say who that 19, one of the 19 is.
you will see. Judah gets to know
some of the deepest, darkest secrets of Charlottesville's
business, elected, and
non-profit and financing communities
just sitting in this office.
I don't know if he's osmosising the information
or not. Most of the times, I don't think
he's even listening. But the deepest
darkest secrets in Charlottesville, there's
few places in this region we call
Central Virginia where more deep, dark
skeletons in the closet are passed
on or discussed that in this
1,000 square foot storefront in downtown
Charlottesville. Facts on
Facts on Facts.
Okay?
And put the lower third on screen with Tom Perriello and John McGuire.
Tom Perriello and John McGuire.
You should host the live debate if it does materialize here on the I Love Seville Network.
I will stream the live debate on social media and podcasting platforms.
I will serve as a moderator.
We will time it.
We will distribute it.
syndicate it and make it approachable to the tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people,
there will be no setting Tom Perriela or John McGuire that gets more visibility for this debate
than the I Love Seville Network.
And Tom Perriello, you are currently in second place.
More visibility for this live debate is to your advantage.
Do it here on the I Love Seville Network, Tom Periello and John McGuire.
It's the 1257 marker.
We have one of the 19 applicants coming into our studio here in about 20 minutes.
We need to get to the lead story of the show with a lot of people watching, including
Dio William Williamson, the president of the Free Enterprise Forum, James Watson, William McChesney,
Janice Boyce, Trevillian, Patricia Spicer, Napoleon.
Every print, radio and television media platform or media outlet is watching our show right now.
Every single one.
Elected officials in Charlottesville, Nelson, Orange, Green, and Louisa on the proxie.
program, Patricia Ritz McNamee watching, Hank Martin watching the program. The lead story
has got to be tent town. Tomorrow's the day where tent town is torn down. Tentown is
torched to the ground. Eviction for Tentown tenants. Can we continue? Tent town torch to the
ground. Torn down. Eviction for tent town tenants. Tent town torn us under. What's going to happen
tomorrow.
I think it's going to go pretty smoothly.
You think it's going to go smoothly.
Patricia Spicer Napoleon says,
Judah, while crossing over Free Bridge this morning,
Tentown was alive and well.
It will be an absolute miracle if the site is evacuated tomorrow.
That may very well be so.
But I think we saw in the last
tent down,
take down.
Well done,
that police chief conscious
is,
I think if the
homeless population in Charlottesville
trusts anyone,
it's probably
police chief conscious.
He has put himself out there.
He has met the people.
He's probably done a better job,
you know,
making himself known to the tent town
occupants than any
any member of
any of the
the past police chiefs
Jen Fleischer. No, I was going to say anybody
in City Hall except for Jen Fleischer.
Jen Fleischer is literally at
Jen Fleischer is literally at Tentown
with a car table and seat every day
for hours on day. Hours on day.
She may be the exception.
She's the exception. She's a city counselor.
She over the last month or so
has posted up at Tent.
with a table and a chair and is there almost every day.
I don't know how someone that's making,
now she just got bumped up to like $35,000, $36,000.
That city council jumped from 18 to, I think,
35K happened this summer.
But do you understand that Jen Fleischer is basically like,
I'm just going to make $35,000,
my compensation from council is what I'm going to earn this year.
And she's literally posting up.
It should be commended.
I don't.
I certainly find it commendable.
I don't agree.
I rarely agree.
agree with magic money, Fleischer, who early in her first year said, if we had some magic money,
magic millions of dollars, could we do this? And when she started talking about magic money,
I honestly had some upchuck in my mouth that I had to swallow down with my ice coffee.
I honestly had to do that. But commendable what she's doing posting up at Ten Town.
My expectation for tomorrow, I think there will be drama. The foreshadowing has been the
tent town tenants speaking before council and the public forum of city council meetings saying
we are not going to leave saying this is our land the tent town tenants in 2026 are what the indians
and the native americans were during the gold rush and manifest destiny were the indians and the
native americans in the gold rush of manifest destiny as the country went east coast to west coast there were
many indian tribes that fought to the death for their land that the white folks were trying to claim and
call their own. During this period, we call the gold rush and manifest destiny as the country spread
from east coast to west coast. There's an aspect of that right now at Zero East High Street and under
Freebridge. When you provide a human being with unchecked boundaries, unchecked rules, and you
empower them where they think where they're living is theirs, eventually it creates a sense of
community that they will fight and die for because they believe they own it. And that's what
City Council has done. This is gone unchecked for so long. The Tentown tenants think the land
under Freebridge in the land at Zero East High Street, which the city purchased from Wendell Wood
to cock block Bo Carrington's apartment complex develop it in a floodplain. The Tentown
tenant says, this is our land. This is my land from California. From California.
to the great, how does the song go?
This land is your land.
This land is my land from the...
There we go, Judah.
I don't know the words either.
Don't stop, Judah.
Here we go, Judah.
Three, two, one.
Judah, Judah, Judah, Judah.
There we go.
Come on, Judah, go.
Full lyrics.
Come on, Judah, can't carry this anymore.
From California to the New York Island,
from the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters.
Here you go, Jude.
That's what I'm talking about, you.
This land was made for 10-town USA.
Ten Town, USA.
There you go.
And you want to know the individual who's in the most precarious position of all.
It's Mike Kachis.
And you know what's funny that you bring it that song?
It was actually written as a protest against economic inequality and private property.
Chief Kachis is in a no-win scenario here.
I don't think he's ever been in a win-win scenario.
He has so much positive things to say of city council, of Sam Sanders, of Joe Plans
Chief Kachis on the record does not say knock anyone.
Right.
He even said when he was on the show last time, he goes, getting yelled at, that's just part of my job.
It's literally what he said.
I get yelled at all the time.
Yeah.
That's what he said.
But I want you to think, when he's putting his bulletproof vest on and holstering his service weapon
and pulling up his pants and putting on his shirt and putting on his badge, is there not a part of Chief Kachis that's thinking in the back of his head,
You know these people because they would not, they didn't have the balls because they didn't have the minerals.
They didn't have the minerals to pass a no camping and sheltering ordinance in public places.
I'm having to go and evict 200 people or so that are significantly down on their luck.
I'm having to be an evictor of humanity that is at their most vulnerable,
of their life because five men and women, Juan Diego Wade, Lloyd Snook, Michael Payne, Jen Fleischer,
and Oshronomics, Magic Money Fleischer, Oshronomics, snookering, live in my basement, Michael Payne,
and Juan Diego, Wade. I get a nickname for Wade. I'm not going to use Don Gathers's nickname
for him. I don't think I'm able to use that. Only Don Gathers evidently is able to call
the mayor and Uncle Tom
and not have anything happen to him.
They don't have the minerals to put a policy in place
and as a result, Mike Kachis and his police officers
are going to have to evict people that are down on their luck.
That's it.
That's the one way of looking at it.
That's the only way of looking at it.
No, that's not the only way of looking at it.
The other way of looking at it is that you're moving them
from an area of extreme danger.
Not only were there fires,
not only were there deaths,
not only were there sexual assaults,
not only is there the danger of flooding.
Trees falling on the tents.
We had trees fall and potentially come close to,
I don't know how close.
They literally fell on three tents.
Yeah.
Like 90 minutes before they were moved
because there was like a microburst coming through.
Thank God someone was watching the weather.
So amidst all of that,
the proposition is to,
move them to a place where they have a roof over their head.
That's hardly eviction.
Now, it may look like eviction from the perspective of the people in tent town,
but I doubt that police chief conscious sees it at,
I mean, he probably understands how they see it,
but he's also probably been practicing his speech to them on, you know,
why this is a good move.
And it's not, you know, we're not like, this isn't jail.
We're not throwing you guys in jail.
We will if you don't get off the land.
But we've got a, they're putting together beds and chairs and whatever else for these people.
At 2000 Holiday Drive, they're going to have outside bathrooms and outside showers.
So we can see Cousin Eddie and his bathrobe taking the fecal matter and spewing it down the drain while cousin Eddie drinks his Budweiser with his bath.
showing the family jewels as he's showering in the parking lot and doing a number two in the
parking lot outside 2,000 holiday drive outside bathrooms and showers what can go wrong
Patrick McAdams watched the program his photo on screen he calls it a showdown a showdown at tent
town a showdown a showdown at tent town and it happens tomorrow ladies and gentlemen we'll follow
it closely Charlottesville sanitary supply speaking of cleaning Charlottesville swimming pool company
and a division that's very soon to launch
that we're very excited about our partners
of this program. John Vermillion,
Andrew Vermillion,
63 years nearly of business
in this community, five generations
of Almore County, instead of Vermilions,
three generations of running this business,
anything swimming pool related
and anything cleaning supplies related,
it's John and Andrew Vermillion
and only John and Andrew Vermillion.
They have free in-market delivery,
they have an e-commerce store at Charlottesville
Sanitary Supply where you can buy your
product at price points equivalent to the big box brands.
And goodness gracious, you could go and see John and Andrew Vermillion in their store,
give them flying chest bumps, high fives, and shoot the bull with them.
They're great people.
Love the Vermilions.
Love the Vermilions.
They're excited about Tentown being torn down on East High Street.
Deep throat watching the program.
He says this.
The bet I'd like to see is this.
What odds do you give that activists are down there tomorrow making human change?
around the densest part of tent town.
Oh, man.
How's that for a prop bet?
Activists making human chains keeping tent town from being torn down.
Does Matthew Gilliken go there?
The scuttle butt that I'm hearing from a lot of people has Matthew Gilliken preparing
a run for city council, ladies and gentlemen.
And you think this would be the first step in?
I mean, I think his first step was livable seaville.
creating livable seville
but what has he done recently
livable sevo is the co-founder of liable seville
they're extremely active
I know that
he made the push the new zoning hornets
through as significant as anyone
the scuttlebot has Matthew Gilliken running
for council anybody who lives in Charlottesville city
should be terrified of that
anyone who lives in Almore County or central Virginia
should be terrified that Charlottesville's most notorious
activist Matthew Gilliken is contemplating
a significant and serious run for city council
three seats up for grabs due to
with care. You got snookering, you got oceanomics, and move out of my parents' house pain,
their three seats up for grabs. Gilican's got to be a frontrunner for one of those seats.
He's going to leverage the livable C-Vill social media, e-newsletter, and grassroots galvanizing
to push him into council, and he's going to pimp bike lanes and pedestrian safety,
and he's going to pimp zoning and rooftops and housing,
and he's going to pimp taxes on everybody, tariffs on anybody.
Gilligan's going to pimp tariffs and taxes more than Trump.
He's going to try to defund the police, Gilligan.
He's going to cozy up with Magic Money Fleischer
and whatever one, Don Gathers called Juan Wade,
to try to defund the police.
He's going to find another candidate to co-ticket with him.
He's not dumb.
He's going to find a second candidate to co-ticket with him.
I was just going to say.
He's going to make an effort.
His wife is the head of the teacher union in Charlottesville Public Schools.
He's going to make an effort, Gilican, to push the teacher union and extra money from the police to the teacher union.
It's not a zero-sum game.
I'm not pinning them against each other, but he's going to try to do that.
Terrified.
Sleep with one eye open Charlottesville taxpayers because Gillikins, more pro-tariffs than Trump.
Will there be drama in tomorrow's 10-town, time and town?
Next headline is Cal Tobias and Ginny Who and Jerry Rackleff.
Give us a retweet.
Tomorrow at 10 a.m., the Jerry Rackleff show.
The Jerry and Jerry Show with yours truly and Jerry Rackle,
you're not going to want to miss this.
Next headline, Judah Wickhauer, is one of the school board members that's going to be here.
The applicants, the applicants, not the school board members themselves.
I don't think the school board members themselves would walk within a thousand yards of the I Love Seville Studio.
Judah, next headline, what do you got?
Do we want to move on to?
Oh, we need to.
We need to.
We need to.
We need to.
School board members.
Most hated electeds in the area.
19 applicants, of which I only have the names of 18.
I mean, put the headlight on screen.
Which one?
Whatever's next, Jacobs.
All right.
They're in order for a reason.
Oh, there you go.
Very few details on the, on what cast will be doing.
All right.
very quickly, very quickly here, there's an Arizona consultancy that's in the business of
homelessness, and you can moniker yourself as a 501c3 nonprofit, but a 501c3 nonprofit needs
the exact same thing that an S corporation, an LLC, any kind of for-profit business
does and needs. And that's called dollar-dollar bills, y'all. That's called greens, dollars,
dead presidents, money, mula, cash money hoes,
Ola, knows, okay?
They need the same things that a for-profit business does, a nonprofit.
And here you have a nonprofit from Arizona, Arizona, the other side of the country,
coming here for an entire year, starting tomorrow, running through August 31 of 2027,
and this nonprofit, ladies and gentlemen, is going to be paid for.
$3.2 million.
$3.2 million of your money.
It's not city's money.
It's not Sam Sanders' money.
It's not city council's money.
It's your effing money, viewers and listeners.
They're using our money.
We have as much say on this as anyone,
and don't let them ever marginalize you
and say you have no say on how taxpayer resources are spent.
That's bullshit.
That's not how it works.
Okay?
And when $3.2 million is being spent with a nonprofit,
consultancy from Arizona for a year's worth of work to try to figure out a plan for, what,
80 to 200 people that would rather shoot white China, pound old English, and sleep under
the stars in a Coleman sleeping bag while pound in some four loco instead of having rules
and regulations inside an air-conditioned building where they have to follow protocols,
then folks, you better watch very, very closely. Because that's exactly what's happening.
imagine a world where these folks that are the tent town tenants choose not to go there or a very few do
that's still $3.2 million being spent and that $3.2 million, how many teacher salaries?
How many first-time teacher salaries is that? What's the first-time teacher salary?
A 50G? A master's UVA teacher? Let's call 3-2. This is a master's UVA teacher.
I don't even think. I think it's like 47, 46. Okay?
divided by, let's say, 47.
That's 68 UVA Masters teachers, the 3.2 million.
68 of them.
Instead, we'll take it to a nonprofit consultancy from Arizona.
Make it make sense.
Next headline, Judah Wickauer, as we give some attention to,
ladies and gentlemen, Jerry Rackleff at what he's doing at Jerry Rackleff.com,
$8 a month, get you 40 to 50 fresh pieces of content per month
on this UVA sports team, this UVA athletic department,
department, the football team just beat the brakes off of NC State. It was not close. It was an
absolute shalacking. And I want you to understand the economic impact of a top 25, a top 20,
a top 15, or potentially a college football playoff of Virginia football program. You're talking
as significant of an economic development story as there is in Charlottesville City possible.
I'm not talking Almar County. I'm not talking biotechnology. I'm not talking AstraZeneca. I'm not talking
data science. I'm talking to 10.2 square miles city, 10.2 square miles. And a Virginia football
program that's got home football games, including the ass whipping they put on NC State in front
of a sold-out Scott Stadium with more than 60,000 in attendance, that's an economic impact
that cannot be understated. My brother and I, my brother came into town. He comes in around the
same time every year, much to the excitement and much to the chagrin of my wife, because she knows
my brother and I are going to close down the bars. And boy, oh boy, do we close down the bars at UVA Corner.
We started at Mellow Mushroom. We went to the Virginian restaurant. We went to the Biltmore,
which is now LA's Country Club, and we closed at Trinity Irish Pub. I had more crappy beer
and more cheap liquor than I've ever had in my life. I still drink. I just don't drink crappy
beer. I drink great beer. I drink craft beer. I drink top shelf liquor now. Okay?
On Friday, I had the crappiest of crappy beer and the cheapest of cheap liquor, and boy, oh boy,
on Saturday morning was I struggling.
Okay?
We had a good time.
Every single bar on the UVA corner was populated with a line out the door and around the block.
The downtown mall was off the chain.
It's the direct impact of an excitement around a football program, ladies and gentlemen.
When 60-some thousand people are in attendance for a football game, yes, some of them live in
central Virginia, but the overwhelming majority live outside of central Virginia. That's going to have
significant economic impact on the city, Almore County, and central Virginia, and we saw it.
Next headline is the hated school board. You should kind of read the T leaves there and put the
UVA lower third on screen. Hindsight's 2020. Is the lower third that's on screen, Albuco school board
members most hated? That's what's on screen right now? Tell me a more hated elected official than the
Allmore County School Board member right now.
Give me one.
I can't think of any.
Give me one.
Any?
The Pannanator?
Astronomics?
I mean, I don't know.
They are literally calling for the resignation, the scalp of Ketakoff.
Jack Jewett inhabitants, Jack Jewett district, homeowners and tenants, renters, are calling for the scalp.
of Kedekoff.
Allison Spillman
has already resigned.
Rebecca Berlin, if you say
Rebecca Berlin and certain circles
in Almore County in Central Virginia,
your mom is going to wash your mouth
out with soap.
Seriously.
Judy Lee might as well be
the F word, a four-letter
word.
I'm going to
Judy Lee you up.
Judy Lee you.
Okay.
Go Judy Lee yourself.
What are you trying to say?
F you.
Judy Lee, you.
That's where they're at.
I'm going to Judy Lee you up.
Mother Judy Lee.
Okay.
Who's there more hated people that are elected officials than Judy Lee?
Mother Judy Lee.
I can't think of any.
Nobody.
Yeah.
Somewhere city council is smiling.
because the Almore County School Board took the hate off of them.
Fair.
Think about it.
And now there's 19 applicants, lower third on screen.
Lower third on screen.
Lower third on screen.
Tell us about the 19 applicants.
I'm currently looking at their applications.
You could first tell them where you can find it.
I got the Queen of Ivy texting me about the 19 applicants.
Where can you find them?
You can find them on the Albemarle County School Board.
website. Do you have the link?
Can you share the link in the comment section of my personal
Facebook page? That would be the easiest way. Because I guarantee you it's not a clean
URL, is it? Yeah, it is. Oh, okay, I stand corrected. What's the URL?
It's K-12 Albemarle.org
forward slash school dash
board. That's it.
It's got the- Judy Lee-U. It's got the school board at the top
and then-
How did Judy Lee-U-U-up?
Applications received.
I'm only seeing 18, though, of the 19 supposed applications that the newspaper...
Judy Lee-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-U-W.
We got some interesting...
We got some interesting applicants.
Oh, God.
The oldest is 79-year-old Steve Colazar.
Neil Williamson is watching the program.
Is 80-2-old to lead?
Who is the oldest elected official you know?
Is that Joe Biden?
Joe Biden? I'm not trying to be an ageist.
How old is Joe Biden? How old was Joe Biden?
How old is he now?
How old is he now? How old is Joe Biden now?
I'm not, Judy Lee Lee, you up.
Joe Biden is 83 years old.
How old was Joe Biden?
when he ran last against Trump.
Joe Biden's about to turn 84.
Weekend at Bernie's was,
how old was Joe Biden when he last?
81 years old.
He was 81 years old when he last ran against Trump.
I'm not trying to throw shade on Steve Colzar.
No shade on Stevie K.
No shade on Stevie K.
That man's 79 years old.
and the Admiral County Democratic establishment is pushing
Stevie K as Ali Spillman's replacement.
That's the scuttle butt on the streets,
the mean streets of the Jack Jewett District,
the mean streets of the Samuel Miller District,
the mean streets of the Rio District,
the mean streets of the Scottsville District,
the mean streets of the Rivana District,
and the mean streets of the Whitehall District,
them streets are so mean.
And they're pushing CVK, them mean streets.
Next thing you're going to see is Robert De Niro
walking around them mean streets.
that's a silver screen reference
you ever seen Mean Streets? Damn good movie
So good
You gotta watch Mean Streets are you a mob movie kind of guy
Love Mean Streets
Gosh
Not really into mob movies
Love any of mob movies
I'm watching Mobland again on
Paramount Plus it's so good
Mean Streets was directed by Martin Scorsese
Scorsese
Martin Scorsese
Harvey Keitel and Robert De Niro
Amy Robertson
God that show was that movie was so good
That was Scorsese's third
feature film. It depicts
a troubled young men
in New York's Little Italy. I might watch that
tonight, Mean Streets. I love
Mean Streets. CVK
is being pushed by the Almore County
Democratic Establishment, ladies and gentlemen.
CBK. Janice Brois Trevillian, her photo
on screen, Chuck Grassley
is 92, and
he's in Congress right now, 92.
Vanessa Parkhill says, I know plenty of
80-year-olds who would be more than capable to
serve on the school board. Same, same.
I'm not an ageist.
I got no problem with age.
I'm not trying to be in ages here.
I know it's coming across as if I'm in ages.
I do think that there needs to be, I mean, do you realize that will there be.
Competency tests?
Will there be nobody?
Competency tests?
Will there be nobody on the Amarral County School Board with children?
I'm going to Judy Lee you up.
I think she has kids in the Amarral County School system.
I mean, no one, Spillman's out.
Is that, is that the requirement now?
You've got to have kids actively in the school.
Even if, what have you had kids in the school?
Good question.
I mean.
Hank Martin, watching the program.
Jerry, a Cuff's credibility depends on applying standards consistently,
especially when circumstances become difficult.
This raises the Cuffs contrasting responses to the 2016 West Bellamy controversy
and the current crisis involving Sweeney.
In 2016, a Cuff then school board chair described,
Bellamy's offensive social media posts as inconsistent with school division values.
Bellamy was placed on leave and ultimately resign.
Today's allegations are vastly more serious.
Sweeney has been indicted on 11 felonies involving four juveniles.
The fundamental question is whether a Cuff's 2016 standard of accountability still applies.
Kata Cuff's judgment leaves so much to be desired.
In fact, I'd say to Kata Cuff.
I'm going to Judy Lee you up.
Judy Lee you.
A cuff should just resign.
Just resign.
What are you doing?
Like, what are you doing?
Are you really going to go through this
pomp in circumstance
of 476 signatures
and your name dragged through the new cycle
on the I Love Seville show
on a frequent and consistent basis
because you don't understand how to read
tea leaves?
This is forever going to tar and feather your digital tombstone.
And she should face this kind of attention.
Next headline, what do you got?
Sarah Williams says Mayor Thacker in Scottsville was 86 years old.
Mayor Thacker and Scottsville, she says that on YouTube.
Patrick McAdams, one of the greatest lacrosse players to ever matriculate
throughout Moore County Public Schools,
is one of the greatest cross coaches
and now a parent of an Almore County
public school student was watching the program.
He says,
do we not need to change the name of the Jack Jewett district
to the Journey District?
Why do they rebrand Jack Jewett?
Was it Jack Jewett middle school?
Was it Jack Jewett?
Did they rebrand at Patrick Jack Jewett to Journey?
So they rebrand the school
but not the district the school is located within.
Is that right?
Make it make sense.
They rebrand the school, Judah,
but not the district of school is located within.
It's making sense.
I mean, it's a good question.
I have to imagine it's tougher to rebrand the entire district
than to just rebrand a school.
How so?
It's way easier.
Way easier.
Way easier.
There's actual hard signage, tangible signage at the school.
And if you're not careful, you're going to judy-ly up that signage.
The district is just something on a ballot.
It's not like you're changing the demographics or the geographical territory.
You're not going to judy-ly-up the geographical territory.
Next headline, what do you got you to do with Kara?
At the 126 marker.
Next we have
We've already talked about
Periello and McGuire
We've got
Your luxury condo
Yeah I found this interesting
I'm not going to say
Who purchased it all respect is privacy
But a condominium
At the Randolph down Market Street
A downtown luxury condo
210
10th Street northeast
Number 33
Just closed on the 27th of August
for $1,155,000.
$1,155,000 for a condo in the Randolph
down Market Street.
It's not a big place.
Not a big place at all.
And, you know, I found the transaction interesting.
I wanted to relay it to you, the viewer and listener.
I want to give some attention to Snow's outdoor living.
We're building a fabulous outdoor patio,
fire pit, seating wall.
some hand-picked plantings, sod and grass, at our home in ivy. It's going to be a 275-square-foot
patio, fire pit, and seating wall. My wife is hand-picking the materials and the plantings. She's
going with a gray color for the stone, the pavers, and the bricks, and she wants white hydranias
to complement the gray stone pavers and bricks. And this process has been phenomenal. Snow's
outdoor living. There's this gentleman named Trevor Chandler that is the landscape designer. He's a joy to work with. Corbin Snow has got an infrastructure in play at Snow's outdoor living. That absolutely is like the pros pro of infrastructure. My wife, who is an incredibly difficult woman to please, trust me. That's not me speaking out of turn, sweetheart, has been from start to finish. These people have got this dialed in. Our last
design meeting this week where we'll pick the materials and and and approve the
artwork and then we'll get ready for the patio to get built for potentially the
middle or end of football season I'm excited my wife is excited our sons are super
excited snow's outdoor living pros pros pros pros more than a hundred years all right
that's the talk show Jerry and Jerry shows tomorrow at 10 a.m. Jerry
Rackleff is going to the Tony Elliott press conference at 1130 as a result the
Jerry and Jerry show has moved to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays because Tony Elliott's press conference,
which Jerry Ratcliffe attends, is now scheduled for 1130 a.m. on Tuesdays. This football team
beat the brakes off of NC State, and they clearly look like a top 25 team. The new polls will
be released later today. You may be looking at a team that's 4-0, 4-0-1-1-1-0-1-1-0-1-1-0
going into that Florida State matchup. And if you beat Florida State and you start the season 5-0,
those are big ifs, I get it. We're fans. We're allowed to talk about stuff like this.
You're looking at a team that might be top 15 or top 10.
This very well could be a college football playoff team.
I get it. We've played one team. We've played one game. That one game we played, we took a
quarterback that many are saying is going to be a first, second, or third round selection
in the upcoming NFL draft, and we made him look pedestrian.
It looked like at times that Virginia was a college football team playing against a high school
football team. And the fan base had a sellout 60,000 plus fans. The economic impact of a good
football team and the momentum that leads into basketball should not be understated. I'll tell you what
should not be understated is this man that I'm pointing to right here, Judah, Judah, Judah,
Judah, Judah, Judah, Judah, Judah, Judah, Judah, Judah, Judah. Today, I'm not going to
Judy Lee Lee Lee will you up. I'm going to give you a hug. You did a great job on the program.
Thank you. My name is Jerry Miller, and this is the number one media platform.
form in Charlottesville, Almarl, and Central Virginia.
It's not even close. It's the I Love Seville Show. So long.
