hey guys what's up it's Jacqueline happy Saturday uh I'm at the Starbucks drive-thru
right now for episode 100 i thought we're gonna my sister and i she's driving say hi hi that's
julia i thought we're gonna drive around town with our iced coffee and talk about the town and give
you a little like tour of the valley because we grew up in the skagit valley here we're enjoy
ride with our coffee reminisce about the past going by our old high school going by the ymca
and shit where we used to do swim team and we're just gonna literally just talk about the town
and I don't know we're I don't have a plan we're literally I said literally too much already
I want to restart this but I can't episode 100 I'm still learning how to get my sentences straight
I don't know why I feel flustered it's because we have headsets on and we're in the Starbucks
drive-thru and I'm about to get accosted by the gal work in the window well is it the hot guy
today it's not the hot guy so we purposely went to this specific Starbucks because there's a
barista that does the drive-thru window here that has amazing uh charisma and like he chats you up
in the most like flirty way and I I was really attracted him last time you're here I was kind
of hitting it off with him a little bit um I kind of anyway so I'm hoping he's here today but I
don't think he is I don't think so but here's the thing I'll just I'll just say this this time I'm
feeling flustered because I I should I'm overthinking it I'm like it's episode 100 I
gotta bring it I gotta be like great at this but honestly we're just sitting back on a Saturday
getting coffee right now I don't know what the hell's gonna happen I mean we could talk about
this Pontiac in front of us we're just we're gonna make commentary on whatever's in the scene
talk about this Pontiac what do you want me to say well it says vibe on the back a Pontiac vibe
apparently that's a type of car I just have to say I feel like I'm fulfilling a lifelong dream
right now why because I feel like I look like a pilot dude you do with my headset and my glasses
on you have aviators i got aviators on it's a i always call myself a football coach with the
headset but i totally think it's a pilot vibe no i feel like a pilot today or a pop star no
i can't pilot vibe i can't wait for them to ask us what the fuck we're doing podcast host 70s week
anyways guys let me just plug my shit really quick i think we should lie to him what should
we say i don't know let's think of it right now before i plug my shit i'm a long-haul trucker
yeah let's let's say that we're long-haul truckers yeah i'll say it if you don't know
we're driving a car yeah we're driving a car we're long-haul truckers we're uh
yeah do they wear headsets like this yes i never noticed that yeah
they get violations if they are texting and driving but if they were what's the headset for
well there's usually cv radios and trucks oh okay well anyways we're about two cars
already or two cars away from our coffee in the drive-thru right now but let me plug my stuff
for you guys to uh go and uh hit me up on i don't know i'm like patreon.com slash tjms if you want

san diego so anyways i love this seat warmer thanks you have one and i don't yours doesn't
work don't push it it'll burn it'll burn me what tell me about a manufactured defect
do you want to talk about your car not really it's a manufacturer defect yeah the seat the
seat warmer burned a hole through the seat and nearly gave mom third degree burns is that why
it had to get is that the thing that had to get fixed no there's something else yeah it's a sore
subject well your car's a rolls royce compared to my piece of shit so i'm just happy to be here
you know what just be happy nobody has car payments it's not the hot guy there's a guy
with glasses i think at the starbucks place okay so let me just talk about the stores we're around
we're we're in i'm just gonna say where i live i don't give a fuck we're in mount vernon washington
you ready am i paying uh i'll venmo you apparently i'm paying here we go i have my card hi
jesus that's obnoxious all right i know i don't want my thing today
i don't know can i talk while you do this
she's like oh um may i get a straw please save the turtles julia's killing turtles thank you
they hand out plastic straws here in washington i noticed california's like paper only really
wait i kind of want a straw no i know we're podcasting no we're long yeah my sister has
a podcast episode 100 uh it's called the Jacqueline Monroe show and this is her 100th episode
she podcasts every day hi thank you we're taking a joyride yeah yeah that's awesome
yes the 10 she's gonna she wrote it down yeah sweet is that yours yeah thank you thank you
oh have a good day venti cup i kind of i did a little glitch there all right we're gonna go this
way so i don't get hit anyways guys we're in mount vernon washington we're going by big scoop next to
starbucks right now big scoop uh is a it's like a it looks like a circus tent the outside of it
is a it's like an ice cream parlor we grew up going there all the time um what did we always
went there for like after football games i think or like after basketball games in high school
we're driving next to our bank um this is the i don't know this is like the safeway parking lot
grocery store slash it's just a little you know can i just talk about something i don't know is
this interesting well i'm about to talk about something no one gives a fuck about like safeway
number one what i really don't appreciate pedestrians that walk in the roadway with
zero like they're not paying attention they think cars are just going to yield
i mean it's it's ridiculous i mean cars are going to yield of course but it's ridiculous
is that a cutlass no that's what's that that needs a new paint job that's a cadillac no that's a
lincoln julia wants a what's your car i want a 1985 monte carlo yeah yeah julia's got a let's
just exposed right now she's a wide-eyed and awake about everything on the road she always
knows what's going on what what people are doing that's illegal and annoying she's ready to call
it out at all times so i told her julie for episode 100 you have my full permission to have
your road rage and talk about it because i think it's funny as fuck i don't have that where i'm not
i'm never in my car like like annoyed by other drivers i'm not even thinking about them i just
don't it's not annoyance it's these people making traffic violations that are potentially hazardous
to other vehicles on the roadway yeah i'm just like i don't give a fuck i think in another life
i wanted to be a law enforcement officer i could see it you know instead i decided to
to do something else yeah do something else well we're hitting up the uh the college way now this
is uh the college this is like Sunset Boulevard in LA I mean this is like the this is the main
drag here in Mount Vernon you got the community college up the road where I went to after high
school I lived with my parents for two years went to community college um asked me about my college
debt it's it's zero to none I mean like I did a big favor for myself I know it sucked to live at
home and to go to community college in the same town I grew up in and I didn't get to you know
go off to my freshman year some huge school she's taking Julia please don't take pictures of me I
got a document come on oh you look great I sound rude whenever I tell you to do shit I'm not like
I just like I want to remember what I'm talking about and I get sidetracked you guys but uh yeah
I sucked it up for two years and I didn't get to go off and join a sorority and do all that kind
of shit you didn't miss out you didn't not miss out you didn't miss out on that you don't miss
sandwich i mean i got terrible stories about being in a sorority among other things getting
punched in the face by somebody in my sorority for no reason do you want to talk about it not
really do a little two second segue no it's it's not worth it the long story short is it was
long story short she needs plastic surgery yeah she did break my nose
mom and i were talking about that the other day i'm like you should just do it do it get a
rhinoplasty well it's in a breeze now's the time to do it right yeah because we're wearing masks
oh facts facts um we're passing the i hope my car is not too loud on the podcast i know my
breathing was questionable yesterday so i'm trying to work on it well uh when mom and i were in the
u-haul i thought it'd be loud and it wasn't yeah but this is a diesel well that was oh no that
wasn't a diesel uh we just passed my favorite my new favorite car wash we went to the other day
um these two really like i think they're twins i think they're twins these two guys uh i'll just
say they're asians i think they go to the community college and that's probably their
job they do here while they go to school but they're so good at it and the the the reason i
like this car wash is because it's like it's like a nightclub inside there's lights there's i mean
the the colors of the soap going all over your car get lit up it's like glowing there's strobe
lights there's disco ball pretty much I mean there's not but it's like that I got I got in
my feels because uh all I want all I want for Christmas all I want for 2021 is I just want to
twerk in the club again and I miss it um we were talking about that this morning we were getting
ready I'm like I miss like getting ready on a Friday night and going out and doing this shit
Because we did our hair today and makeup for the first time in, like, two weeks.
And I just miss that routine of going out and, yeah.
We're passing the cemetery.
Yep.
We have some family members buried there.
There are.
Rest in peace.
Is that great-grandma?
Yeah.
She's buried over there.
Oh, that's right.
I came home.
We got to the left where we took Driver's Ed.
I have a funny story.
Well, I think it's funny about Driver's Ed.
Okay.
Well, there's two things.
Number one, I asked about the freeway on the first day.
and I think her name was Betsy I think she wanted to kill me because who asks about the freeway on
the first day of driver's ed what did you ask I think I was asking about turns on the freeway
and the apex of the turn and some really intense terminology that she was not prepared to talk
about on the first day of driver's ed when she had kids that I don't even think of had set foot
in a vehicle um and the other thing that happened I always had to go to driver's ed after swim team
and I was always starving and I remember I was eating an entire jar of applesauce
like you know those jars of pasta come in like that size of applesauce and then I was drinking
I believe it was cranberry juice with a straw and my friend made me laugh so hard
that I ended up having um the juice come out through my nose during driver's ed and I think
I think she wanted to kick me out of the class Betsy was she short with glasses like short hair
yeah I remember her she I think she she taught my class too but everyone hated her she's just
grouchy I mean think of Betsy just imagine Betsy is a grouchy little old lady but you know she had
hard job angsty teens angsty teens learning about smog signal signal over the mirror over the
shoulder go does everyone know that i don't know that's what we learned is that a washington thing
jesus dude we're go i haven't been out here in forever we're gonna turn right up this is law
road uh that mini mart to the left they got in huge trouble there for um giving well selling
underage patrons alcohol huge bust there was that when we were in high school I don't know
I think it was a little after yeah I never drank in high school I can't relate I didn't drink until
I'm pretty you know I drank my what was it senior year and my first time drinking was with you I
don't think I've told this story I'm she's shaking her head like she doesn't want me to talk about
alcohol underage drinking Julie she waited until she was 21 um I didn't but basically I started
drinking in my senior year of high school and yeah she's like gonna get so mad if I talk about
the story I think it's a funny story make it up this hill she's changing the subject anyways I
was a good kid I didn't do anything until way late I wasn't like 12 smoking cigs let's see if
that car stops so this is my favorite hill I when we went trick-or-treating uh in high school like
fucking losers that was the thing in high school high school trick or i went juliet stop sign
dodge oh man excuse me dude how great this is this podcast would jump to the top of the charts
charts if we got in a car crash that's not funny i just want it i want it to go there
car crash uh flat tire hit a pedestrian that's not even funny i know joke about
vehicular assault is some serious business uh caffeine just hit what was he saying oh
trick-or-treating in high school i remember it was such a thing like we were like oh we're gonna
be like the older kids going trick-or-treating we don't give a fuck we're gonna like bring our
garbage bags full candy up with and we always came out to this neighborhood because they're like
big rich it's like the golf course up here i think right this isn't the golf course we're
getting up well it's out to the left here but we'd we'd go and trick-or-treat these houses
because the families would hand out full-size candy bars and I don't know um oh can I tell
a story about the girls I went trick-or-treating with I'll tell the story because I'm talking about
high school this is your podcast yeah I know everyone I don't have a plan today I'm just
remembering we're reminiscing and driving around town so in my I ran track for the public school
my junior and senior year no excuse me my seventh so in junior high seventh and eighth grade
and I befriended these two girls from the public school and we were really tight we hung out all
the time it was great and then in high school I remember um this is like a weird story we went it
was like freshman year they were really my only friends because all my private school friends
went to different high schools we all got split up and so those two girls were my only friends
and we did everything together we really never branched out and I'm new right at this high
school and I want to be friends with everyone I'm like trying to make friends with people
and they were very like they kept to themselves and I remember a specific moment at lunchtime
this is like I feel like this is a pattern when I like get rid of people I like cut people off
and like don't I like move on really quickly I guess but I literally told them one day because
I I was friends all the girls I played basketball with AAU basketball in middle school with and I
wanted to like be friends with in high school they were all with the other cool people like
not that they were cooler than us it was just like a different group they always sat across the
lunchroom and I was like can we just go like sit with them and like be friends like hang out with
these people too and I remember one day I got so annoyed that we wouldn't socialize with anyone
else except ourselves I was like guys I'm gonna go sit and eat lunch with them today I literally
picked my shit up went over there and I never sat and ate lunch with them again literally cut them
I didn't like mean to be it wasn't like a I wasn't mad at them it was just uh I want to make friends
with other people and literally from then on out I never ate lunch with them again we stopped
hanging out um like the last thing we did together was that trick-or-treating on that road
but wow you know that was a great great story but what does that mean like I just cut them I was
just annoyed I'm like I can't just they were really they kept to themselves and their friend
group and it was it was hard for me to just stay in it with them so I wanted to branch out I think
that's called setting boundaries they were setting boundaries I think you were setting boundaries
I just want to go talk to other people and have fun and I don't know we're going by we got to
talk about it what are we oh it's not quite yet we uh passed did we pass the baseball field
no i didn't even go by she didn't go by it um we grew up my dad coached baseball when we were
younger my and he coached my brother's team a couple times and uh we used to sit in the dugout
and take their like write the stats down what was that called on those books keeping the stats yeah
whatever uh we sat in there and flirted with all the boys it was great and uh anyway so we
we didn't pass that but it's back there we're going we're about to go by our catholic school
good times this is our roots this is our our first home our second home outside of our childhood
home what the the catholic school yeah i mean we were there most of our childhood yes uh kindergarten
through eighth grade wore a uniform blue polo or blue crew neck with a white polo and a blue plaid
skirt what is on their vehicle is that a spider dude halloween was two months ago it's creepy
that's like leaving your christmas lights up all year yeah these people just had a huge spider
on their vehicle on the back look look pretty real kind of look like the spiders in harry potter
i think what one is that number three number two oh dude that's the best one flying car one
okay we're about to we're about to uh pass it it's a long brick building it's uh there's only
one hallway yeah here we are this is crazy okay i remember specifically where's the flagpole
in my eighth grade year when i was vp weren't you vp2 yeah and joe was the president then no i was
the president and and it was interesting because when i won that election uh my teacher goes or i
think he was in charge of student council he goes so you won but do you want to be vice president
or do you want to be president and i'm like dude really had some sexist shit you think i want to
be vp when i just won because no i wanted to be president joe was vp right yeah connor was our
prez i was vp with lauren now we're driving into the high school holy shit let's just kind of riff
about i was saying the flagpole there i remember we like part of my duty as vice president my
eighth grade year is like we had to take the put the flag up and down every day i think i think it
was like every single day we did we did it it was fun we had to fold it and put it in the principal's
office oh my god i'm getting triggered right now we're at the high school looking out at the track
and it would be fun to come up here and do some like running workouts on the track
i'd be looks like it's open hop the fence no we don't have to hop it's open oh i didn't realize
there's a church over there they built i don't think i've seen it finished holy shit there was
mount vernon high school or passing the field house that's where i used to do basketball practice
there's where we did weight training actually that's new oh I miss it guys they're like I kind
of miss you miss being in high school well like the vibe of like going to a basketball game and
the rival teams here and there's like you know school pride and you're buying like I don't know
spirit shit okay oh my god the main building so I've told a story where this new thing happens
to me when i nap and i looked up lucid dreaming it's not that but when i nap i put my i park
myself in a classroom in high school here hold on oh looks like there was a fire there oh shit
i parked myself in a in a classroom during my nap and then i walk around the high school
campus and i like remember each room the stairwells going into the cafeteria like i can
like imagine every little room and it's like this new thing i do so it's trippy we just passed it
because like the last time i thought about the high school i was taking a nap really yeah now
what are we passing we're gonna go down to the ymca where we did swimming is this a boring episode
i don't know do you think if you listen to this it'd be boring
tour of the valley with jacqueline and julia jack and jules that should be the name of your podcast
mom wants us to do something with that jack and jewels there's the ymca piece of shit hey it got
us got us started i learned how to not drown there do you remember uh we didn't have starting blocks
because it was too shallow i think it was like three and a half four feet and uh we still would
dive in and then other schools when they would come to our swim meets uh they would never dive
in so they'd start on the wall and we'd get like a head start yes dude remember 50 50s yeah it's
terrible we had our coach okay this is the thing i'll say about swim team and just sports in general
i feel like i like learned how to exhaust myself and work because when you had to do 50 50s in one
practice first of all that was at what like 3 p.m when we had practice but we were also going there
in the morning sometimes I'd say like we remember the morning practices I don't recall you ever
going I went oh well I don't recall you going I went and it was terrible yeah we had to wake up
at like five and do morning practice 5 30 was it optional I mean I think they said it was optional
but it wasn't optional for us like we had to go I remember going a lot so anyways I'm saying that
we would already be you know we woke up at five by the time so we did our morning practice and
then we'd go back at three and then we'd have to do like a 50 50s workout where that's a down and
back in a 25 meter pool is that meters i don't know does this person want to cross he's not
really looking at us he's got a sign i'm very confused that's another thing if you're going
to stand at a crosswalk you make a decision to either cross or don't cross make eye contact
because i'm not gonna i'm not gonna sit here anyways uh but 50 50s you have to go down and
back it was non-stop but yeah i just feel like i haven't worked myself to a pulp like that since
high school like with different workouts like i'm saying like every day of the week because we'd
have practice every day anyways now we're going downtown by the lincoln theater this is another
part of our upbringing it's where we did lots of plays growing up when i say i did what people
are like oh you did acting where what movies were you in as a child i'm like i'm not a child actor
like that i fucking excuse me patty just fell uh that's the little porcelain bear on my on my set
normally i brought him on the ride but i i did i wasn't that cool i did like plays like live action
like theater shakespeare shit i i mean we had some like oh this place looks cool okay
i'm getting a little sidetracked so the other days i don't care i'll do it with you i'm
i'm like fully caffeinated adhd fully engaged i got oh that guy was he juliet see that guy
look at blonde where's he from i don't know but we got a traffic jam because somebody doesn't
know at a parallel park we got a subaru a subaru okay anyways i passed this place yesterday it's
this new like outdoor dining bar situation and like i'm like that's where the hot guys go in
this town i noticed every time i pass there when i go to hey it's news to me i didn't know there
were any hot guys in this town until we went to starbucks and saw that barista barista barista
it's a barista it's a barista okay well he was he had nice he had nice eyes but i couldn't see
his face because of the mask but he was so flirty no but you can tell if somebody's good looking
from their eyes well facts but it was they were blue eyes they were really he he looked um what
did julian say like he was blonde hair blue eyed uh she's she's getting nervous if i say what she
said so anyways okay let's hang on let's see if this guy can parallel park got a ford f-150 you
do it dude i bet he will oh he could keep going oh man this is a okay this is one thing we did
learn in driver's ed you go to uh you pull forward to the driver to the driver's window
back in a 45 degree angle angle and you're golden he's uh over correcting it's like a five point
yeah yeah now he's on the curb okay what were you i'm just afraid he's gonna pull out
and i don't want to get hit what were you saying about the hawkeyes there are i don't know i just
hang on okay we're good uh we could mention the co-op but you know i'm craving like a co-op
sandwich dude same let's get one after this we should um get a cowboy pizza tonight cowboy
papa murphy's pizza saturday i wonder does everyone know what papa murphy's is
so we didn't drive past it but i've told this story before where we used to go swimming as
a family on like sundays and or fridays and after swimming we go across the street to video depot
yes and we'd get we'd all pick out a vhs we'd get like i remember how the west was wild yes mary
kate and ashley movies that that was our shit or we get like what would dad pick out or like
some kind of like cool movie something like an adult would like adult movie um he always showed
is the best movies um anyways so we would do that and then we go over to papa murphy's and get
take and bake take and bake uh family-sized pizzas it was always a half and half half
canadian bacon and half pepperoni and we go home and we eat we'd eat and we'd watch movies and we'd
make popcorn sometimes or no then we would go to the grocery store after papa murphy's and get
mint ice cream and like another ice cream and those like boxed ice creams they don't even do
they don't even make them anymore like that holy shit boxed ice cream where is it it's gone they
don't make it so we do that and then that's like how how we'd have our little movie pizza nights
as a family um yeah but that's a vibe what were you just saying i just have to say every time we
cross this bridge i'm really wondering when it's going to be the last dude when is it going to fall
in you think it you think that too yeah i get really nervous because that other bridge fell
down uh that's the bridge we're talking about it's on west side mount vernon it's a bridge over the
river to get to the west side west side and uh we used to do that in high school because we were
west siders there's like a thing if you lived on the west of the of the if you lived on the west
side of mount vernon well we weren't really west siders i'm pretty sure that's probably a gang
well we're like well there were gangs do you remember gang fights in high school gang fights
i remember we'd have to go into lockdown i remember there would be girl fights in the
cafeteria and they'd be fighting on top of tables pulling each other's hair um every single one of
them you couldn't sharpie eyebrows you couldn't wear certain colors red or blue red or blue
it there were all these things and then like the what was the street 18th street
that was like the the street everyone got shot up on on i mean there's a there's a thing about
mount vernon where sometimes people call it mount compton because it's kind of it's kind of got that
uh like there's there's i mean when we were going in when we were going through high school there
were gangs and shit like well and for us we came from catholic school shelter sheltered i mean i
remember i didn't even go to freshman orientation because we went to disney world privilege i'm
kidding and and so i didn't even i mean i just got thrown in to public school after being very
very sheltered didn't have any friends um so you just oh that makes sense it was it was a whole
situation because orientation you mingle with everyone yeah the only people i kind of knew were
kids from track um because i would go and do track with it's a flower pot go around it it's too big
for the car you're literally gonna hit it oh shit was that a terracotta pot is it broken oh it's
underneath the car oh shit it rolled out it was plastic dude i knew that was too i think that guy
was he waiting to see what happened is he laughing now how did you why did you hope it didn't blow
it i don't know i think we should take a left sometimes i forget i'm driving a car and not
pickup truck well that's a vibe we used to um remember the truck we drove in high school three
of us shithead teenagers
piling a Ford F250
a fucking old red Ford
that thing would like it was so
I've always been embarrassed
by what we've driven as a family like I've
never liked her it was like embarrassing as
fuck the three of us in that
I don't know why though now I think it's cool
but yeah we drove that
and uh Julie listen
tell them about the country music what would I always
do remember oh Jocelyn
hated country
music hated it hated it in high school and i always played it because i love it i'd like punch
you and she would get really aggressive and didn't want me to play it and now she's come full circle
i like have my ipod nano in my ears while she lives in her fucking country because i couldn't
stand it yeah my fucking pink ipod nano no i'm a little time out i'm a little concerned about my
car we'll check it when we get home you can get out and check it i'll narrate what's going on
with the fucking axle so i was telling her the other day ever since i've moved away from home
like every i i'm i love country now because it reminds me of home like everything about where
i live is like i mean it's all over country lyrics you know what i mean it's like basically
what they talk about in country songs so i have this like new appreciation for it and anyways like
the older i get the more i like it and i started you know the the real truth of it is back in
college i liked a boy who liked country music and so when i was dating him he listened to it and i
was like you know oh i you know to be just so i can like get along with you i'm gonna listen to
it too and like i kind of got hooked then but that contributed to to my love for it we passed
the christmas tree farm yeah i think i've told stories before about it but i don't know what we
could say um my grandparents we grew up on my grandparents christmas tree farm and that's why
i feel like christmas is so sweet i just have this like nostalgic well we used to help them
sell them like i know probably more about christmas trees than the average person what
do we got douglas firs they had nobles douglas firs fraziers grands pines colorado spruce
norwegian spruce blue spruce blue spruce uh pine i just said pine douglas noble oh what was the
fraser the one with the point they point up yes that one is actually probably one of the most
popular trees i would say the normals are like the cadillac christmas trees they don't grow very
well down low and we're pretty close to sea level out here so yeah um speaking of that we're next
to the river next to the dike right now um we're passing the spud house is our great grandpa's
spud house he built and uh it's still going is this still potatoes pioneer spuds is that what
called no they just have that on there um well i'm trying to see the sign but it's still potatoes
right yeah you can buy them in the grocery store yeah those are it so my grant we're literally
passing uh the spud house my great-grandpa built i said that twice now but it's kind of cool to see
that there's videos for my seventh grade project oh there's our uncle shit um for my seventh grade
i think it was called the genetics project no what's it called um anyways heritage project
whatever you had it post you had to make a poster about your family heritage grandma found videos
or there's videos of that spud house like black and white okay talk about it so i know my toes
are completely numb right now can't really i don't know what's going on with my circulation
Passing the dairy farm we grew up next to in our old first house.
We were birthed in.
Not birthed in, but we grew up.
No, that wasn't my first house.
Okay, stay in your lane, dude.
We're on to the – so let me just talk about the house and the dairy farm.
Sure.
That was her second house.
It was my first house, but that's where we grew up.
We all lived – so it was a little farmhouse.
This is the house, the barn in the back.
I've talked to you guys about the toilet when we were kids.
We'd use it, and it didn't – like, it was gross.
It wasn't even hooked up.
And this is the house where my dad put the trampoline in the ground.
I've mentioned that.
And, you know, we had animals and ran around at the dairy farm and played in the sawdust and played with the calves and played in the hay bales with our neighbors because there's three kids there and we were three kids.
That's the house.
So, but something about it that was kind of fun is when we grew up, there's an attic that was turned into a bedroom and we each, like, had a section of the bedroom.
We all lived, like, we all had the same bedroom.
It was blue.
it was really cool but uh sweet memories there uh that's where you got buddy our first golden
retriever yep and that's where i got my barbie car remember that oh yeah the pink barbie car
the little like remote or not remote they're the ones you plug in charge and they have batteries
that would always die and always die because nobody ever charged it yeah and it's just oh i
got my first cd player there um anyways that's it's just like a sweet memory to pass like the
cool thing is that house is close to where we live now like my mom's house so we're always kind
of going back by our first house and it's really cool and i've mentioned before like my entire
family lives within like a few miles of each other so it's just like a fun whenever i come home it's
like it's just nice people buying christmas trees this is the rival tree farm not really but this
other family or other i think there's a guy that runs this place he has a little christmas wasn't
a rival nobody could compete with grandma and grandpa because they had they had like a petting
zoo basically without the petting but you could look at all these animals the bunnies tons of
bunnies turkeys peacocks donkeys my horses even at one point were over there sheep um ducks
ducks geese what was like a fun i feel like there was something cool he always had
turkeys probably i don't know what other animals oh when i first came home we're passing my
grandpa's dairy farm uh i didn't realize so my mom woke up one one night to the barn to a calf
barn burning and i hadn't seen the burn until i came home this time and it's like i'm just
imagining my mom in the middle of the night trying to rescue calves a bunch of them got burned and
died and the fire department showing up i don't know what time of the night it was but it's kind
of crazy to see the barn like still kind of burned they're rebuilding but anyways we're pulling in
the house yeah that was it episode 100 you want to check the car and i'll talk about the damage
i don't think it's damaged i think i'm overreacting i think it was a terracotta pot it was not
terracotta i mean the color was terracotta but it's plastic let's talk about the backdrop here
you know i live out by the beautiful pacific ocean i got the beach right but there's nothing
like staring at a field of dirt i'm not i'm not being sarcastic like i mean this there's something
beautiful about farmland and where my mom lives because the backdrop is like a bunch of land
and then the olympic mountains this beautiful ridge and just like so serene and i've talked
about how quiet it is here it's just like it's so beautiful so i don't know we could keep we
could keep talking about childhood shit talk about um i don't know the farm when we moved
here anything about this house funny like fun stuff the eagles i don't know it's just like i
want to get inside no i'm just trying to think you've done a lot of landscaping here yeah it's
been kind of cool to see all the plants grow from like small tiny boxwoods to now like hedges that
just come together in the laurels yeah um i don't know what to say episode 100 i mean like it's it's
we still got i got a full charge on my laptop shout out apple macbook pros i mean they're
they're solid batteries i mean i can sit here for another two hours probably um how's your americano
i haven't had much of it because i've been focusing on driving but it's pretty good it's
all i can do to not have that right now because look at mine oh yours is empty yeah you know what
i got they didn't put it in a grande cup like i asked it's a venti venti um
i mean oh mom had a question for me did you get any questions yeah let me just let me just
answer a couple because my mom I asked you guys for questions today and um here's what she asked
that's a couple they're related to like this episode what is the next 100 episodes sound and
look like she wants to know um as you know my mom's a former broadcaster she's she's like
helping me out with or she she loves talking about the show and gives me little pointers and stuff so
I always appreciate, um, her showing interest in my new passion, my new hobby, but I guess the
next hundred days are going to be me. After I go back to San Diego, it'll be me back in my studio
on YouTube, Monday through Friday, and I'll be doing interviews. So I'm going to be scoping out
people. I don't know, like a lot of people hit me up to do it. And I haven't said yes,
because for the first 100 episodes or like the first the last couple months of 2020 I wanted to
get consistent at this get really good at doing it every day and then doing interviews in the new
year so I'll be doing zoom interviews probably most I think mostly zoom interviews um maybe have
I'll have people over eventually in my studio but I don't know what it'll sound like I mean
it's like the same shit different day I just tell you guys about what's going on in my life and
talk about things going on in the world um i think you should do more topic conversations
pick a topic and go yeah like what if i could do one topic off what should i do i don't know like
uh i think it'd be interesting from a girl's perspective to know what just grinds your gears
when you're like on a date with a guy i know i've been shy about anything with dating no but
it's just I don't I don't think you need to be you know it could be in general and you could
get somebody on here to talk with you about it I think that'd be interesting thanks for bringing
that up because I love hearing guys perspectives about girls like like what guys think when they're
on a date or whatever like what you just said so I'm gonna pepper in a few of those episodes but
my biggest fear like it's so dumb I'm not this is not a big fear but I always am like I always
avoid like going into relationships dating sex stuff because it's like i'm not call her daddy
i don't want to be compared i don't want to niche down and be like that kind of podcast
even though i'm in that age you know i'm mid-20s like going through stuff like that it's like a
relevant um like part of my life or like a you know what i mean so i just talk about whatever
and see you know i'll i'll talk i'll do a topic on i don't know i also think you're very knowledgeable
on like what looks good on like for photographs and that kind of stuff or like you could I think
do a whole episode on fixing someone's dating profile I think that'd be really interesting
because a lot of people are online dating now uh just like literally my advice for guys I've
talked about it before if you have a dating profile don't put don't just literally post
pictures and your instagram and like don't do a corny paragraph about why you're on tinder what
you're looking for nothing cheesy like i think less is more on dating profiles because it's
mysterious girls are like who's this guy because if they're attracted to your pictures and you have
an instagram they're going to go over to your instagram like check your vibe see if they're
into your like what kind of energy you give off and you know other pictures you have it'll give
them an idea of who you are and what your life's like and then go from there they'll dm you they'll
message you because i think nothing is a bigger turnoff for me than a corny or corny dating
profile that's it's just like full of dad jokes and dumb shit i'm like it's i don't like that at
all okay well i'm a little bit i i disagree with you a little bit um in what way well okay don't
do corny dad jokes but like don't put nothing because in the in the few times that I've seen
you know some dating profiles although I just I just have really struggled in the dating world
recently but shout out COVID-19 it's just a whole situation um in my line of work I'm almost scared
to get on dating dating apps you know but anyways the few times I have been on them
and when I see somebody put zero effort into it then I want to put zero effort into them
so I like to see a little bit of effort this is why I say it I hear you I think it's hot
because when people just like don't put anything because to me they don't take it like I think
it's all a joke it's all dumb like if you actually take a dating profile seriously in a dating app
super seriously I'm a little bit put off by that like I think if you're just more like this is what
I look like this is my Instagram hit me up if you're into me like we'll talk from there I like
that better than someone like so I'm you know new to the area and I want to be taken out and seen
all I want to know where the best place for a drink is or the best pizza spot like take me out
show me around like bullshit it just like dry I just don't like it but anyways what else was mom's
question like did you get questions from anyone else yeah but I just want to answer mom's because
she's queen and I gotta answer her how are you able to make it to 100 episodes by the grace of
god what's the magic recipe um I'll be super honest about this and I'm gonna be short and
here I think it started out as a random like this podcast happened randomly I'll just tell
the quick story because maybe someone if you're new and you haven't heard it before
I was on my couch on a weeknight watching the five-hour Duncan Trussell Joe Rogan episode in
the studio like the last episode in his old studio before I moved to Austin I was watching it and I
was committed. I'm like, you know what? I'm going to stay up all night. I'm going to do this whole,
I'm going to sit through this five hour episode. Cause I love, like I do that a lot with the JRE
episodes. I just put it on the TV and I watched, I literally will watch that entire thing. Instead
of watching a Netflix series, like a bunch of 30 minute episodes, I'll watch a three,
three hour YouTube podcast. Anyways, I'm sitting there and I'm kind of like in the first 10
minutes I had checked my DMS. I was like on my Instagram and I got a message from someone
and he's like shout out Kane I think I'm gonna screenshot the message because it's kind of like
I might post it on my 100th episode Instagram post I don't know but he said you should do a
podcast about this topic or something along those lines and I was like I don't know what I said back
but basically he said that and within like 10 minutes of the Joe Rogan episode I shut it off
i grabbed my apple headphones my one the ones with the little speaker the not the air airpods
like the older ones because i knew how to microphone and i plugged it into my phone
i or i got boss jock open which is the mixer i used on my it's like an app for audio i pulled
that up and the reason i did it is because earlier in 2020 i was doing a youtube channel thing where
I did vlogs like once a week. And I thought, well, you know what, Jacqueline, you haven't posted a
vlog since July or whatever. So why don't you do a quick check-in in a podcast format about 2020
and go through each month of 2020 and talk about it and do a little life update for people that,
I don't know, like watch my YouTube videos or follow me on Instagram. So I did that. Within
10 minutes, I did it, recorded it, posted it, and I never stopped since. I think the seven days a
week thing was a thought I had literally I thought about it one time and I got inspired I have to
shout out Nikki Glaser Nikki Glaser um was in my ear every day she did it Monday through Friday
and she kind of inspired me to do a daily podcast because I liked how every day I could check in
with Nikki she'd you know her podcast would show up in my inbox and I liked I liked how I got to
know her and how it was cool so I was like fuck I'm gonna do seven days a week I can check in
every day I can say hi I can update you guys on my life and I got addicted like I just love
the process of um coming up with thoughts as I go and whatever so I in my head said seven days a
week I committed to it and then I think by telling people I want to do it every day and showing up
Like I, I couldn't back out and back down because I'm correcting, this podcast is helping me correct a major, I don't want to call it a flaw, but an area in my life that's a weakness that has, um, that puts me, it makes me feel bad about myself.
And that's where I will set a goal and then I will never accomplish it.
And I will never, and I'll self-sabotage and I'll get, I'll get going on another thing that distracts me and I'll never, you know, so this was a way for me to go, Jacqueline.
like commit send it do it and here I am 100 days later it's really that I I don't even it's like
breathing now I just like do a podcast every day I don't really think about it this was easy yeah
so yeah anyways that's the question I think that's really it do you have any questions do you want to
talk about anything no I didn't compliment you enough yesterday can I compliment my sister right
know uh julie is my rock she is my inspo for a lot of things in fact speaking of the completing
goals and accomplishing goals i've watched her do it time after time after time after time after
like she will put something on her brain and finish it a hundred percent all the way through
and she does an amazing job at it and i've always felt like a loser sometimes like she makes me feel
like i need to fucking get my shit together so i'm just appreciative of appreciative of that
quality in her and uh she's responsible for me getting my shit together and getting out of
depression this year really thank you she gave me that like slap like push i needed but yeah and
she's a great driver thanks for getting me home safe of course i've never been pulled over oh
that's shout out julia obeying the law you've never gotten pulled over no what are we gonna
to do today let's talk about our day and then end this episode 100 i'm gonna eat something
no more avocado toast we don't have avocado dang it we should have got some
i think i'm gonna make um eggs and toast me too and uh oh actually time out i had a protein shake
that's a lie so you're not gonna eat no no i'm going to eat but i have eaten today nice i have
not uh i need to eat something okay so i'm gonna eat post this i don't know take some selfies for
episode 100 i'm gonna watch netflix what's your show right now it's called i'm watching the selena
series it's really good highly recommend if you're into that kind of drama i want to watch yellow
docu-series ish i don't really know how to describe it it's good i think it's ranked number
one ish maybe number two on netflix i want to watch is it yellowstone yellowstone i really want
to watch that too i've heard that's good you know what the is it about like yellowstone national
park absolutely not what's it about it's it's about a family and drama and it takes place in
wyoming or like that area remember we're watching the that hunting show with grandpa and he mentioned
i think some you mentioned i said i wanted to watch it because i know him and grandma watched
it but it's related to like the national park jacqueline i don't know okay we're just we're
i can't um what's going on in the world right now hold on real quick let me just think about
something i thought yesterday uh this is a radio show i gotta talk about the news um
shit oh shout out dave portnoy i just saw a post about him going in like 500 grand for charity for
all these i think it's gonna help the small businesses out in new york you know that have
been the restaurants and shit that have been shut down shout out dave portnoy i think that's awesome
um people seem it seems like people are gonna start rallying to keep people afloat and help
them out um i don't know if that's cool but what do we what are we on december 12th people know
you know should we talk about the weather now this is getting fucking boring um anyways i don't know
there's a vaccine dave porno is helping people out just speaking his mind on instagram yesterday i
thought that was cool logan paul's fighting floyd mayweather in february i think shout out um logan
paul uh what else is happening did you say december 14th is biden will be the official
i think that's when they're supposed to get the everything's supposed to be finalized with the
voting so like each state certifies by then i believe so i couldn't be incorrect oh shout out
kamala and biden for becoming times person of the year that was the thing that um got decided so
shout out um yeah i know that's causing zero drama on the internet i'm sure no one is
upset about that um yeah i don't really okay i don't want to talk about the news i got to end
this episode 100 thanks for being here sis sissy thanks for being here patty you're welcome
did you have fun so much fun could you do this every day
i mean i could but do i want to no i do the gym every day you could do it all
i'll let you do this this is your thing i have a question for you a final question of episode 100
be honest what because i was in san diego when this started popping off
i selfishly want to know this and i want to make this moment all about me
what were your like real thoughts when you saw that I was doing every day a podcast what were
your thoughts like what did you think as a sibling I thought it was great
I think I think it's good I think it's cool for you to be doing being this dedicated to something
and like actually doing it and following through and I think I support you and Robert in anything
you guys do um I've seen a lot of like growth as far as you you're becoming because of it and it
seems like it's helping you I mean as long you're not shooting up you know heroin or meth or
anything so it's a different addiction it I think it's a it's a healthy thing to be doing and if
it's helping you get further in life and you enjoy it I'm all I'm all supportive of it thanks well
she told me one time earlier i mentioned i did youtube vlogs in early part of 2020 and i wasn't
self-aware the fact i sounded fake as fuck or i was like doing the typical youtube beauty vlogger
script where i'm like hi guys welcome back to my channel today i'm gonna do a zara haul and here's
my new heels and my new outfit like i did that thing and she on the phone or i think we were
like facetiming facetiming a lot when i was doing the youtube vlog and she's like yeah like you
kind of sound fake and honest well to me you sounded extremely fake because I know you I mean
I'm your sister and I know how you sound day to day like you sound normal now I fucking said I
don't care about I just with the podcast has brought me out of my shell and it's made me like
I literally get on this as if we're on a phone call like I've known you for 10 years I'm not
trying to be something I'm not I'm not trying to like act a certain way I'm not trying to read a
script like every you know it's like i don't want to put on that influencer voice so anyways
i just i don't know it's a major improvement anyways i don't know thanks for saying that
