uh I'm on vacation I'm at my mom's house I'm in this low energy gloomy uh weather place
in life at the end of 2020 you know December what is it 14th now uh anyways so I feel like
lately it's been a little dull I'm gonna try to bring the energy I've got a cup of tea here
tonight uh doesn't make sense I know I I don't do coffee this late but uh just know I'm drinking
something that's every time I take a sip I'll pretend it's gonna give me energy
it's called kava stress relief relief tea from yogi tea anyways I forgot to plug my shit if

be quiet? I'm paranoid that she's talking, but she's not. But I'll let you know if she hollers
from the other room. Holla. I'll repeat out loud what she says. So let's start off with this
morning um I woke up at like 6 30 scrolled social media uh in bed and went back to bed till eight I
don't know like I went I was on social media for about 30 minutes and then I slept from seven to
eight probably not good for my circadian rhythm to do that but I slept hard for that seven seven
to eight hour time block and I get a text from my sister wi-fi guy wi-fi guy's coming you know
we got to go to we got to go to starbucks right now you have five minutes are you gonna come in
here and talk all right we're we're doing this yeah yeah twerk twerk julie i don't want to get
copyright flag bye i'm talking about you rushing me to starbucks yeah you did but we had like five
minutes to leave the wi-fi guy was coming okay cool you've been hearing me are you recording me
rehearse I kept every time I screw up the intro I sit I like say bitch really loud I'm like hi guys
it's episode welcome back to show bitch if I don't like how it sounds and then I repeat it
I don't know that's the one thing I have to keep repeating over and over and over again
I don't know why it's like the warm-up but anyways so she's like we got to go in five minutes so I'm
literally just like popping out of bed with my like a full sweatsuit on because it's cold at
night here um and I freeze to death so I just popped on my slippers grabbed my wallet she's
been buying my Starbucks this entire time and I'm like dude I gotta I gotta pay you back so
because she drives so she's like oh I'm the driver I'm gonna just pass over my wall you know it's
like convenient I don't know if that's that's actually not convenient she just does it that's
really nice of her that's really nice of her anyways so we drive to Starbucks um we see the
hot barista again I was being shy though we were both trying to act hot she put on some uh she's
like does this look good and she put on like reading glasses like black reading glasses
and I just put on these like dumb pink sunglasses and it's dark out it's like well it's not
it's the morning but I'm gonna go into a little segment about the clouds and stuff here um but
it's dark it's really dark all day even though it's the middle of the day but so anyways why
am I telling you that I'm saying oh we were at this why okay Jacqueline sit up straight um
I don't edit I get sidetracked I'm like scratching my back slouching like this chair is a couch and
it's not, anyways, hot barista was there, we order our drinks, she gets a drip coffee, a drip black
coffee, a venti drip, I get a venti, it's like quad shot on ice, and a venti cup with cold foam,
boom, but we show up there, and I could tell it's early in the morning, he was kind of tired,
he wasn't trying to small talk like he did last time, but he did say, what are you guys
doing today, what are you, what are you girls up to, anyways, then we go home, then we go home,
the wi-fi guy my sister's like parked on the couch like a watchdog waiting for this van to show up
to install the wi-fi if you don't know anything if you're confused like what's this wi-fi situation
my mom has she doesn't have wi-fi at her house because her office is closed by like the only
time she uses wi-fi is at her office so she doesn't need it at home because she's usually
just on her phone if she's on the internet you know what I mean so we finally are like we're at
are, you know, my sister and I are here for a month where we've had it. So my sister calls up
the wifi people and she got it hooked up today, but she waited for, I don't know, how long did
he wait? No, for after he got here, two and a half, two and a half hours, but yeah, about an
hour and a half once we got home. And she was really specific. Like if she had to go up and
go to the back of the house to go to a different room, she's like, Jacqueline, can you please sit
here and make sure that if they show up right now that someone's here. And I'm like, Juliet,
you're going to pace 10 steps and be able to come answer the door. It's not going to be that
dramatic. But anyways, I forget the guy was here, but he wasn't here yet. Yeah. Okay. They can't
hear you. Do you want to put a headset on? I just, I'm kind of getting over doing this alone. I
really can't, I can't wait to do consistent interviews. Like it's been fun doing it with,
with my sister and my mom here and there. Anyways, the wifi guy shows up. What was his name?
Aaron with an A A A R N probably. Yeah. Um, and here's the thing. He's 43. She's I'm repeating.
He's 43. He skateboards. He grew up out here. I did hear him say that.
He asked if I heard that. Oh, here, here's, let me set the scene. So Julia answers the door.
or I'm like, it's COVID-19 season. I'm shutting the kitchen. I'm shutting myself in the kitchen.
They can't hear you. They can't hear you.
Julia, what are you saying? I'm being funny. What are you saying?
Just come say it in the microphone. Julia, they want to hear it from your horse's mouth. I don't
know if this is train wreck with the audio, but here you go. No, I told Jacqueline because she
was doing her hair and makeup to stay put in the kitchen because uh she was looking very pretty
and you know I if he was hitting on me and I looked you know like terrible I didn't have makeup
on or my hair done I was just chilling so she uh I was held hostage in the kitchen I was afraid he
was gonna like hit on her and then he was gonna be here an additional hour because he was making
small talk about how he likes a white snake and he enjoys skateboarding okay so basically yeah
setting the scene again. Thanks Julia for shipping in on the convo. Bye. She's wearing the same
Victoria's secret sweats from like 2011, 11. It's funny. Like all the clothes here, I feel like the
stragglers from over the years after we've all moved out of the house are all from high school.
And it's just like funny to see us wear them again. Anyways, set the scene, Jacqueline, go set
the scene. So van shows up. I'm exposed in the kitchen. I'm, you know, in front of two big
windows with a mirror the entire kitchen table's makeup because I wanted to do a full beat I wanted
to take pictures today with all my makeup on I haven't done it and I haven't done a smoky eye
like probably since I want to say I actually know the last time I really full glammed it
no bullshit was like January yeah I went out I think it was yeah January but I've been doing
like a light I do like a simple like everyday makeup look for even during like a dinner
situation like I don't put on a lot but it was fun to put on blue glitter holiday eyeshadow and
shit so anyways I got the whole table covered with makeup my hair was curled at that point
the man shows up he walks the door Julie greets him and I immediately notice something I have a
radar for this. Okay. You got to give someone 10 minutes of talking time when they're on the job
of like small talk, chit chat. Let's have a convo about, you know, growing up around here. Like he
was saying, let's have a convo about hobbies and what's going on in the world. Let's talk about
the weather and COVID-19. So I hear my sister being nice and warm and welcoming to him. And I
was over here I couldn't see so I just heard she was being really nice you know chomping him back
and forth with him then it took a downhill downhill turn then I was like okay this is where
if it was me I would whip out the fucking vacuum and start vacuuming to drown him out and that's
the signal dude I don't want to listen to your voice I'll be vacuuming this is loud do not talk
to me do your job install the wi-fi like she said it took him two and a half hours this man was
talking to her non-stop and she was like uh-huh yeah uh-huh the whole fucking time I love my
sister but I think this is a life lesson today cut them off give them 10 minutes and then it's
work time and you know what you can still like chit chat every now and then chime in or just
like check in how's it going need anything like water like I don't know probably not in COVID-19
season was the season uh COVID-19 season what are we calling it the pandemic excuse me
fuck so it was just drag and I'm in the other room so here's what happened when he went out to
his van I noticed yeah okay I was looking hot I know I had my makeup on for the first time like
I said this much since January and it was like a full smokey eye and every fucking time he went
out to his van and he had to go to the side of the house by the garage where the little meter thing
is I don't know what that thing's called every house has one it has a little ticker thing on it
there's wires that go into it anyways but I just saw him staring from the I could see my peripheral
and okay whatever he's it was fine but I was just like annoyed you know what I mean I had to leave
the room I was just getting weird weirded out and also by overhearing the conversation I was like
this guy's flirting I don't want to be you know and I just want to get out of here so I left I
like when he went to the van, I dashed to the back of the house and I sat on a heater in the
bathroom. My mom has this little space heater that we plug into the wall. And I, I straddled
that. I just sat there and scrolled, scrolled social media. And, um, yeah, I hadn't even worked
at this point in the day. I was just in, I was in, I was annoyed. I was, I was, I was just like,
Julia, Julia, Julia, ignore him, ignore him, go do something, she was on the couch supervising,
just, like, watching him do it the whole time, I would not have, I would have just, like I said,
started vacuuming, doing it, like, hey, I gotta leave in an hour, do you think this will be done,
you know what I mean, none of that happened, so I'm also hangry, okay, at this point, it's, like,
11 30, I was starving, and I ended up just laying in my bed, pouting, I put on a big coat, and I'm,
like, bundled up in my bed on TikTok, trying to get some, like, fucking entertainment in
to distract me, and we were kind of texting back and forth, and what did she text me? Let me see
if I can read the text. I mean, the guy was nice. He was nice, but it was too much. Okay, what did
she say, oh, and then, wait, I said, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, dot, that's
how I first sent her, just a bunch of dot, dot, dots, I said, he'd be a great podcaster,
how much longer, fucking A, I don't know, and we need to run to this place to help our
mom with something, so we had to run an errand, and I said, tell her, you have to be, tell
let me have to be somewhere at noon. What is taking so long? She said, he's talking so fucking
much. Oh, and he can't even get it set up. Yeah. There are some technical issue. And I said,
I want to storm out all caps. I want to storm out and make eggs. God fucking damn it. My mom
won't like that. G F D. Uh, she's like, I'm starving too. And then I'm like, should I take
off my makeup. Then I sent her back. Should I take off my makeup? At this point, I hadn't taken
selfies yet. I was like waiting for this all to be over so I could take pics. And it's kind of my
new sport. I don't know what it is. I'm just like, fuck it. I'm a content creator. I'm a daily podcast
host. I'm enjoying posting pics on Instagram again. And I could talk, I could go on a little
segue right here. The behavior around it is so different than when I was younger. Like I post
and I leave. I don't, ew, I just said that weird. I post and I leave. I don't sit around and like
check likes and comments and da da da. Like I don't, I think it used to be where you kind of
get that urge to like check the post to see like what's happening. It's just like a natural,
like you want to check it. But now I just like post a lot all the time. So I don't even, I just
get out and whatever. So that's an improvement. But anyways, I was like, should I take my makeup
off she's like no don't and I said I heard him on the phone talking to it sound like a friend
but it was the technician on the phone and I said I said he's literally having a personal
conversation they were talking about fucking sports alcohol like I don't even like beer
air like shit they're gonna do I was over here I'm like what's happening
I was about so I didn't tell my sister this I was two seconds from pulling a Jodi my mom
going out there with a firm tone and just laying into him like excuse like hi uh we have to be
somewhere in 30 minutes it's been two and a half hours what's going like you know what's
I was about to do that uh but I was I restrained myself anyway so then uh he left it all worked
out two and a half hours later I got my eggs and toast finally I was Julia was mad at me she wanted
me to come with her we had to do this thing to help my mom because my mom's in Charleston right
now. And, uh, are she in Savannah yet? She might be in Savannah, but I know she was in Charleston
over the weekend. But anyways, so we had to go run an errand and help my mom. And Julie was mad
at me because I was like, I don't want to go. I got to eat girl. I got to get some, I got to get
some food in me first. And she just left. She's like me too, me too. But I was like, I'm not that
strong. I got to eat first. And so I slammed down some eggs and toast. And then what happened?
oh yeah, I did that, like, this is so, like, now I'm gonna go into my fucking itinerary
the day, that was a story time, I guess, the Wi-Fi guy today, but what's the lesson in that,
let me, let me end that segment with a lesson, my advice, I'm good for advice sometimes, but
I'm not a people pleaser anymore, I'm not too nice, I'm not a, I'm not saying my sister was
like this, but she kind of was. I'm not, like, I have a radar when shit's not going the way it
should be going. Like, hey, dude, you're here to install Wi-Fi. This is a routine thing you do
that is so, I mean, it took him a while, but I think it took him a while because he did not shut
up and stop talking. He's talked to my sister the entire time. I think he has kids too. So I was
like, okay, is this wife? Are they together? Is she single? What's happening? Is this okay? My
sister just being nice the whole time. Yes, yes, yes. The entire time. So the lesson is cut them
off. Ignore. Go to a different room. Start vacuuming. Tell them you got to leave. Because
that's happened to me before. I have to say it's happened to me before. And I don't like the small
talk when you're supposed to do your job and you're wasting my day. She was pissed. Like right
before the show tonight, I was like, Julia, today felt so short. What did we even do today? She's
like well we got coffee and then from like eight until fucking noon the eight to noon pretty much
we were waiting around for this dude to finish and uh and like show up so we're so I mean here's
the thing we have wi-fi we have a roof over our heads we have you know phones we can text each
other and rant to each other so you know I understand I'm blessed and I'm grateful for all
my blessings. And I know she is too, but it's funny. Like you have situations like this and
I don't talk about them very much when I think about it. I don't, I guess I used to rant a lot,
but I don't know. Anyways. So I think the wifi van should, should, uh, upgrade to the Amazon
vans. I don't know. Those guys kind of look sad and they're like the big long white vans.
they need something more I don't know like new age I have a theory though or not a theory
speaking of that do you know what vans I'm talking about like the big the big like utility vans I
think whatever but look I made an observation a couple years ago when I moved to San Diego
I was driving to work the startup company I used to work for doing my morning drive
and right in front of me is a mail truck or a mail car thing and I thought about it I'm like
these cars the shape the texture excuse me the whole aesthetic the body everything has never
updated it's never changed it's like this white little square on wheels with the post office
USPS logo on the side and the doors are wide open so the mailmen can just fling themselves out
anyways I just wonder when those will get you know a reboot is that gonna happen in 2021 dude
that's all I want for next year yeah that'd be cool I should look that up wait I don't google
search very much anymore let me do it okay mail vans I think they're called upgrade or
throughout the years yeah they're the same okay so yeah it's literally a square
they look so dinky wait usps vans throughout the years oh history maybe i'll do history
i want images that are like over time ah no some of the old ones are
they still have that same vibe like same shape
anyways go look it up or think about it they all look the same okay so anyways noon wait what
happened I ate she left um did I finish that segment yeah I did wi-fi guy's done
uh she came back I took selfies outside I don't know I wasn't really into my outfit I didn't
really have like I don't know I didn't pack anything cute you know what I mean so I'm like
what does mom have that she won't get pissed if I'm wearing it in a picture uh she wouldn't she
probably wouldn't but I was being selective about what I was taking from her closet but I found this
little like white zip up and I'm like you know what I'll just go out and take a little quick
selfie I was outside on top of our like at our pool I climbed up the ladder on the slide and I
just sat on top of it I'm like oh let's get this big vast field in the background that's full of
swans and this will look cool but I'm not that powerful my creative skills aren't that great
like I couldn't for the like I was trying so hard there was this little family of swans
how you decipher the families is this there's they're the so there's two white swans and three
two to three gray brown babies so the two white ones are the parents and they have the little
babies that follow them around and so I saw a little family in the background of the picture
I really want to get this on my selfie and I couldn't and they flew away and then it got cool
because I kind of cut it short because I ended up taking video of the migration so over here in the
valley uh there's bird migration every year I think these were snow geese yeah they definitely
weren't swans swans aren't loud um I'm pretty sure they were snow geese they're smaller they
flocking like, like the, they're the birds from, did anyone else watch Fly Away Home back in the
day? The birds that fly in a V. I guess all, do all birds fly in a V? Nah, they don't. There's
a lot of birds that swarm together, but the birds that fly in a V that migrate, I think, I think
they're from Siberia. I think that's what my mom said. Anyways, so I saw those in the sky, so I
cut my selfie sessions, selfie session short, let's try that again, I cut my selfie session short
to video those birds, and then I went inside, and then I started work for the day, midday, you know,
like at one, not too stoked about this, what was his name, Darren, no, Aaron guy that sucked my
morning, I like, here's the thing, this is, this is what I'm not proud about, this is what I'm not
proud about. Not proud of the, proud of this. A mature adult would grab her laptop, let Aaron do
his small talk with his sister, with my sister for two and a half hours. And I'd sit in my bedroom.
I'd sit somewhere in the back of the house where I was and I'd work. Okay. I put my head down. I'd
say, you know what? I can persevere. I can do my job and disregard what's happening in the living
room with the fucking wi-fi set up but I couldn't I was being a little angsty like in my head annoyed
like just I just wanted to go out there and scream at them and my sister kind of too
just like can we just fucking shut up and finish the job like it was one of those things and I
couldn't get it out of my head I was too annoyed and hungry so yeah my work day started around two
did a bunch of work it was great uh let's see what else I think my sister said to say something
um no not much here we got uh oh yeah I do have an update about my sister
later on in the day um I made toast for dinner
my sister oh wait we had a little dance party wait a minute she wanted me to teach her to walk
like how to catwalk so we're doing a little catwalk session before she drank pre-workout
she came in the kitchen and I was like are you like making a cocktail what's happening
she makes her pre-workout in a shaker like for like she's making a drink and I was confused I'm
like what are you turning up can I join there's music playing she's hyping herself up for this
workout I didn't really understand she's got stripper heels on practicing her catwalk like
she's she does competitions where she's on she does like bikini stuff so on on uh competitive
of what is it called figure competitions yeah so we do a little intermission for my work day and
dance and catwalk and she was taking a bunch of pics and anyways it was fun but what was I gonna
say the catwalk I don't remember shit what there's something so funny she did whatever I can't
remember but um she worked out I kept working I made toast for dinner she came in oh yeah she
came in before a workout she had this giant piece of meat she's like I'm making pork for dinner and
I was like this fucking pork I think it was a tenderloin she's just like I don't know where
it came from I haven't I haven't really looked in the freezer here I know my mom's got that thing
stocked so I think my sister found it in the freezer she's like slaps out on the counter
she's like I'm making this after my workout like I and I just made fucking toast and oh I used my
my grandparents eggs uh from their farm I told you guys about so that was great um but yeah I
oh and so my night was kind of a nerd night like a Monday get your shit together
research read figure out what's going on in the world and it was really important for me to sit
down and watch Jake Paul's Instagram video uh he sent or he he sent McGregor 50 50 million
or something to fight him, so, you know, that's going on, always something going on with boxing
and YouTubers, so, yeah, he, uh, he just had a knockout, what was that, who did he fight again,
why can't I even, I feel like I should, that's so crazy if I can't even think of who he just
knocked out, who the fuck did he knock, whatever, but he, yeah, so he posted a video,
hey McGregor I want to fight you and he did a bunch of you know shit talk and then
I looked at his Instagram everyone's like he's only following McGregor's wife on Instagram
Jake is so that's kind of you know fucking funny I guess and uh we'll see what happens but
apparently like McGregor's 0-1 Jake's 2-0 now boxing so anyways so who gives a fuck honestly
I don't this is the thing I'm like also I'll mention something in the news today that's
for the young kids that listen I don't fucking I don't pay I I used to be so in deep with
sorry that's water oh I forgot to drink my tea now it's cold wait
I hate when I do that every time I drink drink hot tea it always gets cold when and I forget
to finish it every time uh but I back in the day I was in deep with like I knew everything about
YouTube culture and drama and all the new influencers popping on the streets like I
was in it and I feel like now I don't pay attention at all like I just hear stuff and then
I'm like all right cool um it's a bubble you know what I mean like everyone's kind of in it and
everyone knows like they're all kind of doing content together and that's cool but I don't
really nerd out to it anymore I watch a lot of fucking podcasters sit around a lot of youtubers
are podcasters but you know what I mean I just like sit around and watch that shit uh as of late
though it's been the no wi-fi I pretty much just like watch whatsoever whatever's on tv which I
don't like to do I feel like the the news is so annoying and I just like don't I hate how it's
kind of, like, what we do together, we just sit around at night, put on the nightly news, see
what's going on, it's not, it's not that crazy to do that, but, like, I don't know, getting
distracted again, sorry, so I was saying I had a nerd, I had a nerd night, a nerd, I had a Monday
night study sesh with myself, I, like, read up on the new stimulus bill that came out,
uh you know bipartisan bill apparently they're trying to pass i guess it's like a 900 billion
dollar bill the other ones you're trying to pass earlier before the election were all like
2.3 trillion or 1.6 trillion i think around there i think the dems wanted two point something like
2.3 trillion republicans are trying to get a 1.6 and then now it's down to like a 900
billion dollar stimulus, uh, package they're trying to put together. So I don't know. It's
basically the gist of it. The stuff that's interesting is like, okay, well, if you're
on unemployment, that'll get extended another 16 weeks. Plus they're bumping and adding an
additional $300 on top of what you're making now. And then there's going to be another
stimulus check I think 1200 um I don't know they're trying to call this the Christmas miracle
they're trying to get a pass before Christmas but you know it's kind of I feel like it's
inevitable it's gonna happen I just don't I don't understand money and like the numbers
I don't understand true I don't I can't conceptualize that amount but I understand
if you're doing a budget like I put budgets together before and I understand like it's all
like if you scale it if I scale the little budget I made up till the up to the trillions it's all
this it's all the same kind of like it's just more money because there's more people it needs to go
to so it sounds freaky because it's like two trillion dollars but it's really not that crazy
um but who knows I don't know uh I learned apparently we haven't paid our debt back
from uh world war ii but there's something that i i also heard like you're the country's debt
becomes less relevant or something as the dollar gets more valuable or those
as we gain more i don't know like there's something about that like the debt becomes
irrelevant over time like you won't have to repay it i don't understand i don't they don't teach us
this shit. Um, but yeah, so I read about the stimulus bill. I was reading about stocks to
look out this week. Um, and then my sister came at this kind of how the, the night ended with my
sister. She came in the room and she's like, Hey, I can't reach my back. Can you do this for me?
And I'm like, Oh, what's happening? And she pulls out these suction things I've seen before,
like athletes do on their backs to help their muscles recover I don't think I put sentences
together very well they do on their back they put on their back um can I just be a podcast host in
my head right now and talk about what I want to work on because I feel like is this maybe this
is a fun thing to know nighttime podcasting is probably not good for me because my clarity goes
out the window a little bit, and I feel loopy, and I don't feel like I can talk clearly to you
guys, like, my sentences are just, like, just all blended together, where in the morning, I'm more
on it, you know what I mean, so I apologize, I don't, I shouldn't apologize, but I am overthinking
right now, that I just think I'm fucking up a little bit, episode 102, okay, so, dude,
I'm not self-conscious though I'm just like hey it's life I'm gonna post it anyways I don't edit
anything I don't redo anything so whatever fuck it my sister comes in she's like I can't reach
my back so then she she hands me this bucket of tubes or excuse me suction cone things she hands
me this bike pump I'm like okay I've seen this before I've never done it so anyways I placed
them on her back along her spine because she tweaked a muscle lifting or something today so I
did that. And then she had it on for like 20 minutes. And then I came in, guys, this is going
to be gross, but whatever. I feel like a lot of people can relate to this. She came in the kitchen
after it was done. I had my headset on. I'm ready to go. I'm like, Julia, please,
I need to record. What are you doing? You know, like, please. And she's like, can you take them
off? So I was like, sure. So I take them off. And then we noticed something or I noticed something
that happened uh from the suction on her back um it like sucked out her blackheads to a point
where they're like popping out like they're sticking up from being sucked so hard from the
those little cones and it was all I could do to I couldn't I had to tell her I'm like Julia
holy shit like she had little everyone has pores on their back sometimes they get
clogged and they turn into little blackheads but she had some and I'm like oh my god we're going in
she's like I'll go I'll go get the tool we should we have this little tool we use to
pop out blackheads on our faces and shit um I feel like you're either on my brother's traumatized
we sent him a video of me doing it because my sister we were like we're gonna film this
we have to it's content but I feel like you're in the camp you're either on the side of things
it's like ew that's disgusting it's gross how could you even be into that or want to watch that
or like to pop things or touch that or do it to someone else get germs like you're either that or
you're like I don't know why I can't stop looking away why do I like seeing this zit explode why do
I want to pick it so bad and that's where my sister and I stand on things okay uh recently
I've been falling asleep no I haven't fallen I used to there were there was a time where
one of the last social media trips I went on during my bedtime routine because you know what
I'll be honest sometimes I'd say 2020 my bedtime routine has been uh it's been full of social media
okay I know about all the uh science behind blue light and bad sleep and don't be on your phone an
hour before bed and I'm like no dude sometimes I fall asleep with my my phone I mean I don't
fall asleep with it I'm just I like can cut it off and then put it next to my bed and set an
alarm all that shit but uh anyways I'm like but there was a point in time where I was on
Dr. Pimple Popper at night and I'm like I just it's though it's one of the accounts I checked
do you guys have that routine? Like, at night, I have different accounts I go to
for entertainment purposes. Like, I click them just to watch their stuff. I don't know why Bob
Mennery is one of them, but I like to watch his announcer shit on sports. I don't know. Anyways,
so, yeah, she came in, and then we, yeah, she came in, we popped them, sent a video to my,
our family group chat my brother's like that's disgusting and I'm like don't hate what you don't
understand okay don't hate what you don't understand it's amazing okay she I'm talking a
little bit too much about these zits they weren't zits they were just little blackheads that were
juicy and you know we had fun um but that was pretty much it and then let's see my sister she
went to watch survivor I tasted her pork chop thing it was really dry but she's like you know
what, Jacqueline, when you cook pork, you really have to make sure it's, you have to make sure it's
done all the way, so I left it in a little bit longer than it should have been, and it's kind
of dry, but it tastes good, and I'm like, if it's dry, it doesn't taste good, she's like, well, it
has good flavor, I'm like, it's dry, but I feel like I, I don't know, I'm not really picky about
food, but dry meat, it's hard, it's really hard to ingest that, um, guys, I feel like, uh, that's it
really for today, Julia's watching Survivor, I'm sitting by the fridge, I moved seats tonight in
the kitchen, looking out into the abyss, my mom lives on a beautiful piece of land here in the
valley, I'm out, out, out across the way is a, is a field, I don't know how many acres it is, but it's
huge great view it's beautiful it's like it's honestly like laying at the beach but it's
you're in farmland I think it's comparable it's beautiful but it's dark right now I can see
Christmas lights um my sister parked her car again like the sheriff last night she backed in the
middle of the driveway she backs in she does not my sister I have not seen once since I've been
home with her she doesn't park in a parking spot like she backs up every time and last night she
backed in and she angled it she's like I'm a sheriff this is what the sheriff does I don't
know I guess they angle the car when they pull you over to like if they have to chase you they're
like already in position to like roll out I don't know anyways I don't really know what's going on
the world. Let's talk about something I saw on TikTok. Um, cause it's news, you know, Monday
motivation. I don't want to flex, you know, or I don't want to like, it's really not. I mean,
the energy at night on these recent podcasts is, it's hard for me to flex right now and say this,
but Monday motivation, I haven't said this in a while is, uh, Jacqueline's in a podcast 102 days
in a row. So if you want to do something, you can, you can do anything you want. Just put your mind
to it and in my case I don't really think about it too much I think overthinking in the past when
I set goals made me paralyzed and I wouldn't start anything where now it's just like I don't even
think about I just do it it's not an option to not do it every day you know what I mean I think
that's a good thing to if you struggle with accomplishing your dreams completing goals
just pick something you have to do seven days a week there's something to be said about that
you know uh I don't know what it is it's like I I don't like even a like a weekend is nice it's
good to chill and relax because you don't want to burn out but I don't know I think
the discipline of having to do something every day is like really good for you I don't know
anyways, it's like, it's probably, people are doing this shit all the time, but different
things. I don't, I don't know about seven days a week podcasting. I don't know if that's a thing,
but it's good for me. I feel like it's helping me with my mind, my depression I used to have
earlier this year. And, um, I like myself more. I feel like I'm a better person. I feel like I'm
nicer. I know myself really well. I'm listening to my soul speak. It's cool. So yeah. What was
I just saying? I don't know what's going on in the world. And then I said, see, here's the tired
guys here, the tiredness. Um, anyways. Oh wait. Oh, I saw, yeah. I wanted to say, I saw a video
of the semis being escorted by law enforcement out of the factory or whatever where they made
the vaccine in michigan it was so majestic it's like these giant 18 wheelers i think those are
the biggest ones he had like a fedex ups big ass semis you know pulling out of the plant
the fact the factory and it was cool it was like whoa people are there this is full of vaccines
and people are going to get these in their arms soon and oh my god but i want to read something
actually let me finish off this with something kind of profound or just like a nice well-written
speech here about the vaccine because this guy wrote his name's hank green i've i've never i
probably should know who this is i don't know book writer video maker science communicator
small business lover oh that's scoring him some points uh co-creator of crash course
okay anyways uh he's from missoula missoula montana he joined in 2009 on twitter i like
how it says when you join twitter i love how mine's like april 2009 i was like an og i was
i think my number was 21 000 because it used to show your number like your user number how many
it would each new user would be that makes sense jacqueline the new it would i was 21 000 me i was
the 21 21st thousandth oh my god jacqueline bedtime um user on twitter 21 000 was my number
so cool all right um here's a book here it's called a beautifully foolish endeavor anyways
this man tweeted something I don't know who he is but I read this and it was kind of like nicely
written he's like I'm nervous about this thread but let's do it it's a twitter thread so he says
this is in terms of this is all related to the vaccine uh people understand risk in different
ways to me it makes sense some people are going to want to see a bunch of other people get
vaccinated before they get the vaccine and that's okay um i just like how you wrote that people
understand understand risk in different ways because i think yeah i mean it's wild to me how
they haven't been able to get the flu vaccine right what like 60 years it's still like
is it 40 effective or some shit and all of a sudden in a year this vaccine they're saying
is like 95 percent effect like it it's gonna work and it's they're that certain you know what I mean
and I just I don't know what to feel like this is a first time experience for me but I'm definitely
in the camp it's like I'm not getting this shit I don't want to I don't I'll trust my immune system
like I don't want to get a vaccine uh but I am I am what he what he said here is some people want
to see a bunch of other people get vaccinated before they do and that's okay like we shouldn't
judge people about wanting it or not wanting it it's just whatever he wrote here in public health
there are different differing opinions about how to talk about this should we give people space to
be worried or do we say no anyone who's afraid is being irrational or do we just ignore it because
talking about it talking about it at all turns a definite into a question
i don't know this is a really long thread let's just see if he has a snot like a
let's see what else he wrote
covid vaccines are a big deal and our brains want to analyze and yes overanalyze big deals
and that's okay this guy's all about saying it's okay it's okay guys do what you want you don't
have to be first in line and you don't need to be ashamed if you're a little worried worrying is
what brains do best that's gentle and kind and all the you know okay I get it it's okay if you're
worried we're gonna overanalyze this we're gonna overthink it anyways it was crazy here's what I'll
say it was crazy to see those trucks roll out the vaccine it was like whoa um and then it was crazy
to see I followed the San Diego is like Fox 5 San Diego on Instagram and they showed the big FedEx
first class plane rolling in to the airport with all the vaccines on it I was like holy
shit it's coming to my turf it's in San Diego it's just kind of weird I don't there's something
about it that just doesn't sit right with me uh and I'm not talking about all the conspiracies
they're injecting us with some crazy you know mind controlling shit and we're all gonna be
connected to 5g and they're gonna track us and like I'm not I I don't know when I I don't want
to go I don't want my brain to explode it's already full of bullshit from this entire year
of COVID news and crazy shutdowns and people rioting and election, you know, you name it.
And I don't want to go into a rabbit hole. I do want it. Not now. I'm a little bit mad. I want
to enjoy my December with my family. I don't want to get in a deep rabbit hole about what this
vaccine is going to do to people. I hope good things. I really, I'm optimistic. I hope, I mean,
my dream is life before this shit like as much as as close as possible you know what I mean you
know what I mean am I saying that too much I need to stop correcting myself but you know what I'm
new at podcasting I'm still new at this I'm gonna talk about it I'm learning okay I'm still in this
I mean I'm still in what is it month three 102 days but what is it September October I'm in month
four, okay, so I should get my shit together, but I'm optimistic, I really want to get, if everyone's
vaccinated, or not everyone, but if enough people get vaccinated, it's working, the virus dies off,
you know, but there's herd immunity, then I think we can all go and to the office, and
go out together and all that shit like we don't have to overthink it and freak out
because a piece of me this is something I don't think I've verbalized on the show yet
a lot of it doesn't make my brain is hearing about all these new rules and regulations
and it's hearing some science about how things spread and a lot of contradicting information
and a big part of my brain is like this doesn't seem this seems pointless like it's unnecessary
we're doing all these shutdowns and everything it doesn't seem like I don't know if ever if the
gates were wide open I guess for some reason there's a little piece of me my little dumb ass
pea-sized brain side of my brain the little piece of me that's just like I don't think so
feels like the cases would not be it wouldn't be as bad I don't know because I guess that's
why everything shut down well if everything was gates wide open back to normal no anything
no shutdowns no social distancing life as usual obviously there'd be I don't know 10x more cases
I don't know but when I'm around people you know I'm at my grandparents house
I'm in the stores I'm in the airport I'm on a plane I'm like I'm just living life as normal
for the most part I haven't got no one's getting sick around me I feel like obviously people are
getting sick and people are dying from this but I don't know I just want shit to be normal I really
do so let's get you know I want this vaccine to work I want people to get it I want it to be
I don't know guys what do you what do you think some medium tell talk to me about the vaccine I
used to get you know what I used to do I don't do this anymore I used to go on Instagram and
I would post long worded essays I'd type some shit out at night I'd start thinking about the
world and what's going on and I'd write something out my opinions but I don't really deep dive like
that more I think like I said I'm just trying to like stay up and a lot of times of the conspiracies
and the trying to find the root to all this it makes me kind of down and like depressed a little
bit I'm like oh I don't know ignorance is bliss I think that's why stupid people are happy what
did I read that sounds mean I mean like people that know what's up that are I don't want to use
the word woke that are awake I like the word awake they're they're conscious of like reality
and like what's really going on and they've thought outside of the box they're not just
in this tunnel vision of what they've been sold to sold their whole life about how the whole
the world works the system they live in everything so people that are just not really
awake to that they're probably happier because they're not paranoid or they're not like upset
like if you I don't know there's a lot of content out there that I've ingested that makes me go oh
my god it's a fucking simulation it gets to that point where I'm like I question everything
it's hard not to it's really hard not to especially this year I just can't help it
I'm trying to make sense of it is because a lot of it's ridiculous you guys I could talk forever
I could talk for another two hours
hey grandma if you're listening it's not hard to talk by yourself for an entire podcast you can do
it she wondered how I could do this every day remember like keep talking and come up with
content but i don't know let's go to twitter let's just look at shit um we're hanging out
wait what did i say in the beginning i was like i want to make this episode fun i want to be upbeat
i want to bring the energy and i self-corrected a couple times and i got negative and i thought
about my fucking speech like sentence structure like a dumbass maybe that's what this podcast
could be like improving your uh like speaking skills or your clarity when you speak guys it's
a i'm a self-conscious of it because i've been nipped out my whole life about it uh well not
my whole life uh started in high school i've told stories about it before i've always felt like a
dumb fuck who can't string a sentence together and it got me earlier i think in the summertime
time I was like I think I have ADHD undiagnosed uh which could be true I don't know it could be
true but I think I'm just overthinking it like always you know so anytime I catch myself
overthinking now I go not fun don't do it there's no point stop thinking who cares it's not that deep
biggest epiphany I had this year though was about nerds uh like left brain nerds who
and I mean that in the most loving way they just don't they are not highly creative emotional
intuitive beings like myself are like we make moves throughout the day based on how we're
feeling it's emotional do I feel like am I too tired to do this do I want to do it if I do this
how will like it will this drain me like you're sitting and stewing about how you're gonna feel
doing it or left brain nerds who are just like it's on my list I got to check it off to do it
I guess that's not left brain right brain it's probably like uh smart people and dumb I don't
know dumb people motivated people and lazy fucks but those types of people I just think of nerds
who are like okay so today on my itinerary is I got to I have to go to the post office before work
I have to drop off a package. Then I have to go grab coffee and I have to go iron my suit and tie
at home for a wedding tomorrow or some shit. I don't know. They just like do shit. They're not
like, I don't want it. Like they don't get emotional about it. I don't know. Does that
make sense? Are you like that? Because when you strip out thoughts about how you feel about doing
a task this is important when you strip out the thoughts about the emotions you're going to have
when you're about to do a task you become a robot you just end up doing it you're not you're not
even like phased i i'm going psychotic is that psychotic i don't know it's a tool in my little
toolbox toolbox now that's helping me just get shit done don't think about it
uh, I'm on, here's a tweet, how y'all scared of the vaccine, but not scared of COVID,
200,000 likes on that biatch from, uh, I don't know, I can't say the name,
did you guys get COVID this year, how was it, are you COVID free, um, are you scared of the vaccine,
oh I want to okay I want to actually say something I'll end with this
Ricky Thompson on Instagram I see my saying his name right I love that guy he posted a video and
it had me thinking about something um regarding respect so Ricky Thompson yeah I want to talk
about this because it kind of was like, Oh my God, I want to say something. Here's the beginning of
it. Ricky Thompson. He's hilarious. Just listen. So live your life however you want to. And if
anyone judges it, fuck them, like, okay, that was his message, and I love that, and I hate it at the
same time, because when it comes to, how do I say this, I'm all for it, live your life, make your
decisions, do what you want to do, but be respectful, especially to your parents, and elders, people
around you about it do you know what I mean I've had that experience uh a negative experience
around that where I felt like I was offending family or uh disappointing them and I know like
there it's hard it's really hard for me to I don't know this is gonna be a segment watch this
podcast might go another 20 minutes it won't this will be like five I feel like I was living doing
when he says doing my life however I want not caring what people think about me you know just
posting f-words and swearing in my content and shaking my ass I don't know just like
not really having a filter on the internet and that's just me being me okay I don't I don't want
to make myself smaller to make other people feel comfortable do you know what I mean like I was
just like oh this is I feel good about myself I'm like this is fine but then I get clapped back from
family here and there and it's hard because I don't want them to be like I don't it's about
like I still want their respect and so how do you come to that agree to disagree conversation
where like Ricky was saying live your life do what you want to do and if someone judges you
for it fuck them so I think people are entitled to their own opinion and I learned this lesson
on Thanksgiving when I ruined it um I joke we had a conversation across around the table on
Thanksgiving about Harry Styles and a dress and I learned something that night about not always
you don't always need to convince the other side so in in terms of living your life and doing what
you want to do I think you should respect people that disagree with you and that judge you you
should have some kind of it's easy to label them as someone who's small-minded judgmental
mean cruel but I believe at the end of the day everyone just like you're entitled to your
opinion about how you're being out there and you know eccentric doing your thing just like
you're entitled to that opinion and that belief about the fact that that's right I think other
people that disagree with you and don't think it's you know obnoxious inappropriate whatever
I think that's fine if they have that opinion it's just a difference of opinion so when it
comes to family and trying to come find common ground about it and not just like lose their
respect and get mad at each other about it or whatever you have you have to come to the agree
to disagree conversation where you respect that you're on different pages about whatever it is
and I have this opinion because this you have this opinion because that we're not going to
ever probably agree it's like my mom with um like weed it's like we don't really I'm never
going to convince her you know what I mean like she will I don't I'm not a stoner or anything but
she knows I've smoked before and so she's like I don't want to even hear about it that freaks me
but I get it like she has her own life experience and her own opinion around that around weed and
so I get it and so I don't hate her for it it's frustrating sometimes I will say when you're
dealing with family you're like I just wish they would understand me and relate that's a tough
thing to go through but I as I've gotten older I'm I'm more I'm I'm into or I value what's the word
uh, I'm, I want to honor and respect my parents, my grandparents, my, whoever, my family members
who raised me, who taught, cause I don't know. They keep, they keep you, I think they keep you
grounded and they keep you honest and they keep you, um, they're your little rudder,
like in a boat, you know what I mean? That keep, that keeps you going straight.
if you don't respect their opinion if you don't consider it if you don't go you know maybe there's
some truth in that or maybe I should you know tone it down a little bit here and there like
I'll be honest I've cut back on swearing a lot uh I was a little bit loose with my cuss words
earlier in the episodes I don't know if that's boring for you guys now but I don't I just and I
I listened to a very popular podcaster swear every an f-word every other sentence and it was
cut it was taking away from the material I noticed that when I was listening to her so
I was like whoa I gotta kind of because I have to be conscious of this uh but fuck that
fuck that I just want to swear now I'll do what I want if you judge me fuck you that's what he
said literally literally that's what he said and I'm all about it like take the high road
love those people for their opposing opinions or try to find grace in it it's not all about I feel
like a lot of people and the reason I want to bring this up too is because I don't like the
tone I'm seeing especially with influencers people on the internet popping off it's just like
it's kind of sad there's like zero honor and respect for people that come from a different
time that were raised differently that didn't have this crazy internet exposure with all these
woke ideas and new ways of thinking like give them a break they didn't get exposed so if they're
gonna sit there and judge you and be uh offended by you like try to empathize or just understand
that you probably would be that you would probably be like that too but you it's easy to say oh I
don't judge people I don't know like my mom caught me saying that I'm like well I judge people based
on how they make other people feel like how they the treatment of people but I will judge you how
you make people feel how you treat people is king that's everything to me uh but I don't judge I
won't judge you if you like if you're a guy and you like wearing dresses or if you're like whatever
I'm pretty easy going about everything it's just how you don't be don't be mean be kind be uh
considerate treat people well uh yeah I don't know I just had to mention that because it's
something to think about. Live your life. If someone disagrees and judges you, fuck them. Well,
yeah, it's kind of a cop out. I like to, I like to have conversations. Of course I do. I love
talking. I like to come to an understanding. I like to get to know people and why they disagree.
My mom probably hates that about me sometimes with, with conversations recently. I'm so curious.
I'm like, I want to get, I want to get to know you. I want to really understand why you think
this way I mean we've been apart this entire year we haven't really had over the phone we've talked
a lot but I think as I'm getting older I really want to unpack and understand my parents brains
and because now I can perceive them from an adult perspective I can sit back and go oh
so if they were like this when I was a kid I understand why I'm this way you know what I mean
Like, you can really put together shit when you're an adult in your 20s looking at your parents that you didn't notice when you were a kid.
It's kind of cool.
I even noticed, like, my habits around my sister have really never changed.
Like, the waiting on her stuff, which is, like, a joke at this point.
But today, just her coming in asking me to put on those suction cups.
Like, I don't think I've ever asked her for a favor.
I don't think I ever do, I mean, I probably have, that's being dramatic, but, like, since I've been
home, it's just a funny thing she does, it's, like, no, I don't question it, I just help her,
I don't know, something, I don't know, we have, like, little roles in the family, I'm sure every
family is like that, but it's, just think about your parents right now, think about,
now that you're older, being around them, like, how that's changed for you since you were a kid,
or maybe high school, like teenagers years. Uh, cause it's different. It hit me this year. It
really did. It hit me this year with my grandparents too. When I, when I've been
hanging around them, I'm like, Whoa, we're really reminiscing about when we were younger
with them. Like, Whoa, it got calm at the end there. I, you know, I thought it'd be fun today.
I thought it'd bring a lot of energy, but you know what? My tea's cold. It's not really doing
