Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, happy Wednesday. It's episode 153. Welcome back to the show. hey everyone it's Jacqueline welcome back to the show happy Wednesday day. Woo! I'm feeling good today. I'm feeling good. First off, go ahead and hit that subscribe button if you're new. I'm here seven days a week. This is my audio diary, as I say every day. It's my audio diary. I come here to work on myself, to talk it out, to rant, to bitch about what's going on in the world because it's fun right now. There's a lot of fun stuff to comment on. So yeah, hit that subscribe button. But look, I'm feeling like, can you hear it in my voice compared to the last two weeks I'm feeling normal I'm feeling like myself again um if you're just
Starting point is 00:01:05 tuning in I got a new golden retriever puppy and I haven't slept very well at all like I haven't I literally had to sleep all day yesterday because I was I felt like I was gonna die so not to be dramatic but I maxed out of tiredness and I finally feel like I'm normal again I want to have fun today we're gonna I honestly have two um what's it called two things to talk about or two there's gonna be a fork in the road in this wait I'm gonna go down one topic and then do a buzzfeed quiz to end it to have fun I just feel like having fun um the first is something I was um the topic is when I was watching the uh Lex Friedman Tim Dillon podcast um guys as you know I'm like I don't why do I always feel I always feel like I have to address this to the audience
Starting point is 00:01:58 It's like, I, all I do is listen to podcasts, watch podcasts, think about podcasts, and I podcast myself. That is my lifestyle. That is my passion, my hobby, my interest. Like all I like to do is like at the end of the day, now I did get sucked into Ozark. I will say that, that finally, I finally watched a Netflix show, but at the end of the day, my unwinding or my downtime by myself after my you know long day is putting on a youtube podcast and watching conversation like that's literally like i'll literally see like it's a usually the sets i mean lex friedman i mean looks like you're in a fucking you know you're just in some like county courthouse office in a corner somewhere like it's not that decked out his studio is very like bland and corporate
Starting point is 00:02:47 looking and kind of cold compared to like um you know when i watch bad friends with bobby lee and and uh Andrew Santino and it's like it looks like a five-year-old decorated it and it's like fun and um anyway so yeah like I don't it doesn't even matter if what am I even saying that for like I will literally look at two people talk with headsets on them and a microphone and that's my personal preference like I prefer doing that over watching a movie a Netflix show live tv of some like game show thing I don't know so anyways this topic um or this thought came up excuse me tim said something i have never thought of and he makes sense when whenever he opens his mouth he just makes sense he's so i i just i'm honestly like the the latest obsession so i'm obsessed with
Starting point is 00:03:35 lex freedman that started after the whitney cummings podcast and then uh now lately it's been tim dillon but he said that we've basically created like a fake world with technology like there's a on there's an online world with all of these social networks and it's not even real and so he said every now and then the reality like the physical world and and the technology world like cross paths and that's when you have the guy with the horn storming the capitol and that's when you have people blowing up um police cars in the streets where something on the in the technical or excuse me the digital world is occurring all of the drama with black lives matter and george floyd like everyone is observing that through a in a digital
Starting point is 00:04:30 way and then it turns into an actual reality in the streets with protesting and all that crazy same goes for the q anon people all over all in the um you know the q world of the the q department of the internet they're all living there and seeing the world through that lens and then they end up i'm just saying a lot of these people probably were cute people but they all end up storming the capital and they all believe that trump won and everything's like you know they they have all these um you know these ideas from the digital world world they live in and what's wild is the whole reason i'm even bringing this up is because it's the first time i had that thought like it literally feels like two okay it sounds so like obvious like two separate worlds like
Starting point is 00:05:18 reality and then the digital world but um it's kind of I'm trying to think about what my brain is doing right now I'm trying to analyze that and guys we will have fun we will have fun I'm gonna do a BuzzFeed quiz I know it's a little it's very um I feel like my inner middle schooler who used to like to play on disneychannel.com and fucking like vmk virtual magic kingdom club penguin like i still like my that my new thing is doing buzzfeed quizzes as far as my video game entertainment goes like i don't know that's i mean i'm not playing animal crossing i'm not i don't have a switch i don't have you know i don't play xbox or playstation games i just like going on BuzzFeed and doing quizzes because it's like mindless and kind of fun so and honestly here's
Starting point is 00:06:12 the reason why I'm doing this there's a podcast I like grew up with in my late teens and they always did BuzzFeed quizzes and always made me happy and smile so I feel like I'm trying to do it too and hope it hope it's fun for you guys to listen to I don't know um shit so yeah I'm thinking about how my brain works and and I'm talking about like perception of the world and people it it's wild how I'm starting to realize that like I have never met my boss I have never met my co-workers I work remote like I don't and that's just like a way that's just the way it is now and I'm like whoa but I like perceive them like I think of them as like a physical person but I've never actually seen them like my brain is it's kind of in this
Starting point is 00:07:02 tug of war right now with my physical reality and my virtual reality and I don't know does anyone is anyone else starting to feel like like you go on your little entertainment box pacifier phone thing and you're just you're transported and you're it's like everything is better but in a in an entertainment way and uh I don't know how to fucking explain it's just like your brain fuck dude we're all addicted to our phones that's what it is I don't know what what am I trying to say god damn it so let me drink some coffee guys I'm finally okay I'm having fun I feel alive I had good sleep the rug is out of is is dry it's out of the shower my mom told me to burn it if you're new I had to uh shower I had to put my rug in the shower because there was so much piss on it and
Starting point is 00:07:56 I had to clean it I finally I finally like when you're in your own apartment you don't really smell it but I randomly or excuse me so random I like was on the phone and then I was paying I like smelled the air I don't know and I smelled piss I smelled piss and I was like oh shit so I was up all night like a couple nights ago showering with my rug um scrubbing that thing and my puppy is peeing when I'm not looking and I'm not catching it. So, um, fuck. Oh yeah. But I'm feeling great. Like I'm drinking, I'm drinking coffee. It's the morning. Um, dude, I love podcasting. I love it here. It's just, you know, what, what am I, I'm just like reflecting right now. Like guys, this isn't, this is going in a thousand directions and it's cause I'm happy
Starting point is 00:08:50 because I get excited I'm like I want to talk about how much I love podcasting I want to talk about what Tim Dillon said about the tech world and the fucking real world and the collide of that and then I want to do BuzzFeed quiz and have fun and oh my god when I say I'm happy it's no bullshit like I think finding your passion is so key I can't recommend it enough and I don't know like I think I got lucky and found it with podcasting I think I it it was it was kind of a it was a very random chain of events and then all of a sudden 153 days later I'm still on the microphone um anyways that I feel like that was a little coffee sip break reflection time but let's go back to the um how we've built this universe online like I don't know I I just feel like okay
Starting point is 00:09:42 here's my other hang up. Fuck. I think I wrote this. You guys know that, you know, that document I compiled of like everything I've ever written. Oh shit. I got to pull it up. Guys, stay with me. This is going to be like a 30 second delay. Google docs. It has to do with how we're playing with like a Rubik's cube. Like the internet is this fucking Rubik's Cube, stay with me, let me find it, JM, there we go, I just, like, wrote, the doc is called JM for my initials, because it's everything I've ever written, okay, human quest to understand why, I have so many random things on here, um, okay, all right, scrolling down, so, how's your guys Wednesday going, how's your job
Starting point is 00:10:36 going. How's your life? Is your family good? Are they healthy? Do you guys have any trips planned this year? I don't know what's happening with that. Okay. All right. All right. All right. All right. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. Find it. Routine slash lifestyles. Is it in here? This is like not even what I was going to read, but social media has stripped my intuition and given me rules to follow I didn't come up with from my own life experience in return I've been living other people's lifestyles that do not suit me everyone needs to fucking relax lol and not think so much about their carefully calculated daily tasks it's not that fucking complicated lol like that's I I was going off like when I was writing this and then I've podcast about it how
Starting point is 00:11:28 people make like daily routines so like like they've they've made it a thing to the point where like everyone talks about they nerd out about their schedule and what's your morning routine and how much water do you drink and how much caffeine do you drink and do you eat or do you intermittent fast are you meditating in the first morning and then are you reading a book for are you reading five minutes of a book and then are you um journaling and then do you want to walk can breathe fresh air with no technology to like get the vitamin d on your skin and then are you like it i'm this is what i there's i haven't reflector talked about this in a minute here's all i have to say about that shit wake up do what works for you go to bed like do what works do
Starting point is 00:12:12 listen to yourself listen to your intuition don't think so much about it like we all learned our morning routines from our parents when we were fucking two years old brush your teeth take a shit clean yourself put on an outfit get your work done like I think that whenever people on the internet all these fucking self-help what are they called like self-improvement people it's like they've created this this religion around human optimization and being the best version of yourself it's like now all of a sudden when I when I wrote this guys again I I'm not even talking about the internet Rubik's cube yet okay this is why I'm so it's the caffeine okay it's caffeine I'm ADD right now sorry but um the reason I I wrote this in the first place was I felt like
Starting point is 00:13:04 whoa I've been distracted by all these other people showing me how to live a good life and do my day-to-day tasks when I'm like not even sure if this is what I even want to do it's like what I've witnessed other people do and all of a sudden I feel like I'm just putting on their I'm like it's like you're um living other people's lives and it's great it's inspo you can learn a lot about I don't know I just don't like to think about unnecessary bullshit like drinking water it's like obvious like fucking drink water get good sleep why do we have to make it so uh um oh I'm cringing I can't read this next line I can't believe I wrote this
Starting point is 00:13:51 I'm packing up my content and selling it to you like oh I can't read this next part it use it I think this is when I was trying to like rebrand myself when I didn't go on social media for two months in 2019 I was like I want to come back out with like something that's worth your other people's time as far as my content so the next line has something has the word thirst trap in it I'm packing up my content and selling it to you like an blank blank thirst trap and I can't say those next two words because it goes against everything I just fucking said um okay so I'm a hypocrite we all are but it's funny to look back that's a couple years ago and and go wow I've come a long way uh now I don't
Starting point is 00:14:40 give a shit about packing up and packing up my content and selling it to you any which way I'm not see that's a great thing I just found that's growth I use that's that's like my former self thinking I need to curate something and just and give it to the world in a certain kind of with with an aesthetic and a certain vibe to it and and send it out and now I'm just like I don't have any intentions of doing anything like that I don't want you to ever come across my content be like she's there's a theme here there's a brand here there's like and I know that might be stupid business-wise like I don't care I just the thought or the that I have like I have this battle internal battle where I'm like if I ever feel like I'm trying hard to look a certain way or do a certain
Starting point is 00:15:29 an aesthetic or take time to like make a brand around me that's something that has a theme and colors and like it fucking freaks me out like I have a cover photo for my podcast and that's a good that's good and I have a bio my bio is a podcast by me for you that was like literally when it was like write a bio about your podcast uh day one when I did my first episode I like oh it's just a podcast by me for you like I'm not trying to make this anything like that's it that's all this is so anyways my former self is like pack up that fucking content and sell it like a thirst trap and like like wow that's embarrassing dude guys this is what caffeine does to me um I almost got I feel like yesterday's episode was um literally it was literally titled
Starting point is 00:16:23 this is gonna get me fired um I'll I'll keep you guys updated on that that happens or not the whole thing about essentialism on here okay where is the thing about the social the Rubik's Cube oh my god even more the guys I could read remember how I said I could do this entire month February, um, about, I could read from this document for an entire month and reflect on my past self and what I was writing. Cause it's fucking crazy. I've always been super observant because I usually, and I usually feel like an outcast in groups. Why did I I outcast like outcast like O-U-T-K-A-S-T oh my god guys it's so deep what I'm writing I'm so off topic guys where's that thing about the Rubik's Cube I'm looking for it you know what
Starting point is 00:17:22 I'm trying to I'm trying to find it because it has to do with that Tim Dillon thing um okay I'm not gonna find it I didn't have this queued up and I don't I don't edit I don't pause you know or I can come back so here's all I have to say I remember writing something along the lines of like all of the so I've done social media I've done content creation marketing sales everything and it's literally just all digital and it feels like it, how do I say this? Like, I don't, it's just like a lot of pushing buttons and tapping around and clicking. It's just like a lot of clicking and tapping around. Somehow I had this interesting thought about how everything feels like a Rubik's cube. And it's like this fake, it's like, you're
Starting point is 00:18:16 just like moving little things around to move the business forward, but it's not anything. There's no physical thing and that's why I'm like when Tim Dillon said we've created this digital world this it's like the entire business like I've worked for in the like a business I've worked for the past was a hundred percent digital currently the one I'm working for is that too and it's just it's hard for me to like stomach sometimes I get kind of in my head about it like whoa there's no physical like thing and I think my inner cave woman or whatever the fuck or inner like 90s kid going to school with homework a ton of fucking paper in my backpack and binders there was no ipad there's it's like whoa nothing is like physical anymore fuck i don't know why this
Starting point is 00:19:05 is even the topic today did this did this i always have to ask and i shouldn't but i'm like does this make sense do i make myself clear am i spiraling about something that is just the way it is now and I can't do anything about it? Absolutely. But I'm still going to spiral about it. I don't know what my idea, so here's the thing. I used to work, so when I was in the office, you know, like after college, like my first normal job, it was very, like everything was, like I had interns. I had 15 interns each semester and all of my interactions at work were conversations and and like okay yeah we had email too going on and and shit but most of it was sitting and and giving my interns
Starting point is 00:19:58 like coaching my interns on different things about marketing and social media and photoshop and all these and event planning all this stuff and my life was very different than it is now with work where everything is just online I don't know what I'm fucking saying guys I need to I need to I need to do the BuzzFeed quiz so am I working out right now that what do I prefer I don't fucking know because the convenience of working remote and everything digital it's so convenient and nice but I don't feel like to be honest this is probably episode this is the day after my I'm gonna get fired episode I'm I'm not feeling it's not very fulfilling oh fuck boss let's let's work together if you're listening like how can I make my digital work life feel more fulfilling I don't
Starting point is 00:20:48 know am I figuring okay god damn it do I delete this am I shooting myself in the foot guys does anyone relate to this I'm just I'm just kind of having a crisis in my head right now about technology and working from home and everything digital and how I feel like I'm living in this fake world online with my job and with my social media and with my interactions with people it's like not even, there's no weight to it. It's just this little like button thing. It's like a little Rubik's cube. We're just like adjusting all day long and tapping around and opening a new tab and going over here and go over. I'm fucking, I don't know. Do I go off the grid? Do I go camping? Do I guys, I think I need to go. I think I need to go on a camping trip. I need to go on a camping
Starting point is 00:21:39 trip and you go out into the wilderness get the fuck out of the city um dude my ancestors would be fucking pissed i think they'd be pissed off at us and i've i tweeted this and like fucking my sophomore year of high school or some shit i still remember when i tweeted i said i don't think social media was the best forward progression for uh for progressions for humans in the 21st century i think that's what i wrote along the lines of that like i don't think this was the best like imagine if we didn't have i don't know fuck me guys i don't know about this episode i'm i'm i'm being um i'm doubting myself right now with this converse this inner dialogue and conversation with myself
Starting point is 00:22:30 because again I just throw it on the internet every day and I'm like whatever here's a here's a new podcast and sometimes I get embarrassed afterwards and I feel like this is one of those episodes but look like I think do you guys think it's the best forward progression like what what if we didn't go digital what would what would the world look like now I don't know like people used cash we were writing checks okay never mind fuck that um we you called people on the phone and okay maybe we stopped at like the motoro motorola razor with phones and it was only t9 word and one through nine texting there was no keyboard okay maybe we had a keyboard but there were there wasn't like hey here's my instagram profile
Starting point is 00:23:25 dude we should have just kept myspace around forever and just like kept the same like customize your own profile fucking have a song in the background have your top friends i'm reminiscing now god damn it i just feel like it's progressed in this weird way where everything is like everything is fucking digital and i don't know if i like it I bet a lot of people out there just don't even think about it or care they're just like yeah it is what it is can't change it so they're just living life I fucking do that 99% of the time except today today I'm like nope I don't like it I don't want anything to do with it I need to go on a camping trip but again backed I have to like keep this um as a podcast host I got to keep the
Starting point is 00:24:13 afloat i feel like the sale like we're gonna capsize right now if i go off on another tangent the reason i'm even on this uh train of thought is because when tim dylan told lex friedman we have created a fake world i literally was like oh fuck that's it like and I just felt something and that hit me hard and then I started thinking about my lifestyle my lifestyle and what I do every day and how much I'm online and how much I'm on my phone and how my brain will like click over to this digital world every time I'm on a screen and then when I'm out walking my dog and I'm talking to my neighbors and I'm breathing the fresh air
Starting point is 00:25:06 and I'm on the grass and I'm looking at the trees I'm like this feels fucking great I need more of that and you know what here's the thing it's all about balance Jacqueline maybe you do need to just get yourself outside more and get off your phone more and have some self-discipline and not be so on your phone and on your social media bitch my fucking like I can't hide from my I can't leave my work you know like I it's literally how I make a living and how I do anything it's on my fucking technology so anyways and I felt like this is a this was a necessary thing to get off my chest I feel better now I bitched it out I bitched it out I feel better um yeah there's nothing real about the online world at all when you really boil everything down it's
Starting point is 00:26:00 just like a bunch of little blips and dots and, and synapse. I don't even fucking know the technical tech terms, screens and pixels. It's just all fucking pixels. It's all fucking pixels. I don't like it. Like my boss is a pixel to me. How, how weird is that? Hey, Jacqueline, you're seven years old you're uh painting a lot you're uh riding horses you're going to horse camp you're going to summer camp you're fucking flipping a canoe upside down and walking under the lake with it you're fucking um making homemade videos with your neighbors and you're acting out a four-year-long fucking play with them every time you hang out hey Jacqueline you have a crush on um I can't say I don't want to name drop because then who knows I don't know I just like don't
Starting point is 00:26:55 want to say my crush's name when I was seven hey Jacqueline it's your golden birthday you're turning seven on seven seven yay I don't know what I'm saying but I'd be like hey girl hey one day when you're a big girl when you're a grown-up when you're you know on your own your boss and your co-workers are pixels on a screen you're never gonna meet them okay I'm obviously being dramatic of course I could probably fly up and meet them and okay obviously I'm just trying to make a point here like it's so weird god damn it I'm glad I grew up at that time I had the best childhood
Starting point is 00:27:40 my kids will have you know what if I don't grow if my kids don't grow up on a fucking farm or they need if i don't have i need land i need land i need i need animals and i need a farmhouse or else like i just can't imagine having a kid right now and raising them in the suburbs or like with no free space and like if i mean like i've told you guys in the past like i was literally digging bunkers where you'd look out at the field and you didn't see anything but i knew what was there my brother like we had our fucking bunker with a piece of wood over it a bunch of shit on top so no one could tell it's there and that's where we hid out and like fucking making just like
Starting point is 00:28:29 going in the ditch and floating around in a tire am i aging myself how i'm guys like that was not even that long ago here's what happened let me wrap this up before we capsize again um i got really passionate today because my the reality of my life is hitting me about my digital my digital life the reality of that is starting to hit me and I think a lot of times in life we get caught up in what we're doing and we don't sit back and go whoa or we don't even think about it or question it or observe it so I just took a step back
Starting point is 00:29:19 and observed it and then I reminisced about being seven and having a basic fucking normal like no low low-tech life you know and then kind of comparing the two and then going then I asked a question what if this never happened which you can't obviously undo that but what if this wasn't the next progression for humanity the digital thing what if it was I don't know I don't fucking know hey we're all live hey here's positive there's so many positive social media I'm so great first of all I sound fucking um this I don't sound very grateful for what I have I can't tell you how grateful I am first of all for my boss for my job for the entire setup because of the times and being able to have a job right now and work remote
Starting point is 00:30:15 and raise my puppy and be home 24 7 like I have it so good I'm just making um you know I'm just observing it like I said and kind of I'm thinking about it and if it's really what I want for my future or if I'm gonna be able to do it for a long time I don't know that's a conversation I wonder do you do you guys have do you guys have remote jobs do you think about that um how's your psyche here's what I need here's what I fucking need excuse me for swearing I operate best like I okay it's getting it's getting guys it's getting sketchy it's getting sketchy I need like fuck okay I need people I need a shit ton of people around me and I need things to do and people will talk to like I need I should be a teacher I should be I should
Starting point is 00:31:12 work like I just need more people around me fuck that's pretty simple but not like friends not like social like I just need I don't fucking know you guys are my people right now but you guys don't exist to me you're just like a fucking profile and that's kind of weird no offense it's fucking weird you're just a profile like I don't know this is such a 2021 conversation with like such a relevant or like current holy fuck what happened 10 years of the internet or I always put back so I always say I got Instagram at 18 it's about a decade of it approaching of this bullshit and I'm just kind of going what the fuck so yeah I thrive with human interaction and people and and and like being out there in front of people and like groups and that's why I left my
Starting point is 00:32:09 job at the university because I had interns like my entire day-to-day was managing them and dealing with them and having conversations with them and international students and employees. And that's my department I was in. And it was very, um, it was full of a lot of conversation because I don't know if I like hunting and pecking on a keyboard all day. I don't think that's for me again. Am I going to get fired from this episode? Probably, but I'm just saying, I'm joking but I don't know I think I'm better off using my vocal cords in some way with groups of people should I be a therapist should I be what jobs do you do where you're just like talking to people all day I should should I be a barista fucking a I should
Starting point is 00:32:58 no I I've been around a coffee shop before I don't know if I'd want to do that should be a bartender I'll say this though I should shut up I should shut up because I got clubhouse did you shit oh god no he didn't when I wasn't looking no Jimmy no he didn't you know he farted the kid's farting he's farting oh dude come on not in front of a lady not in front of your mom the disrespect and he's sleeping too you know it's like a farting in his sleep god damn I lost my train of thought um oh uh clubhouse yeah so I got a clubhouse which is basically a platform i can sit and talk to people all day on so um i can i should be
Starting point is 00:33:56 jumping on that and uh getting involved because but again it's digital all these people are little fucking circles with a face like now the only way on on clubhouse right now um it's still in what beta is that they could say like the beginning there's only like what two million users i don't know but like people you can't message people they don't really have a profile with pictures it's literally like everyone has a profile picture and a voice and I don't know it seems pretty like shitty for I don't know like why don't we have 3d holograms of ourselves yet fucking like the Tupac on what was that the hologram of Tupac she's not it's just not working for me it's just dude i want a farm so here's what i want
Starting point is 00:34:47 let's talk about what jacqueline really wants um like i want i want a simple life i want a husband and kids and some dogs and maybe some pet like some bunnies maybe some goats and maybe a couple horses i don't know i want land and i want to be a homemaker okay I'm just kidding I don't know sometimes I'm like bitch can it be can it just be 19 fucking 50 again I'm really traditional old school when it comes to that I'm like look I just want to bear children at some point not now uh and have a family and take my kids to you know soccer practice and shit and like make them food and go on little trips with them take them out to the fucking campground
Starting point is 00:35:42 and like do what my parents did I don't know and now I'm just in this like digital world and I'm like I'm just not even moving anywhere in my life I'm just like working around the clock and doing everything on it's like a fucking Rubik's Cube I'm trying to solve here I'm not really doing much it's just like hunting and pecking on a fucking keyboard all day and I don't know all right so yeah clubhouse uh it's an it's interesting you know you can get up on stage and talk to a bunch of strangers and it's probably a great thing for me I actually joined so I'm part of um three new groups or clubs so mine if you want to follow me on clubhouse it's a club Jacqueline at club club Jacqueline I um I couldn't do my full name because it was one letter
Starting point is 00:36:27 too long. It's like you can only have 15 in the username. Mine's 16. So Club Jacqueline. I'm a member of Ladies in Podcasting, Crazy Good Fun, and The Comedy Club. So those are the two. Those are the things I'm involved in. I haven't really done anything on here. I don't know. Every five years apparently a new app comes around. I guess exactly five years ago TikTok came around. Five years before that it was like snapchat now i got clubhouse and speaking of like talking to groups of people i think it's perfect for me but i don't see their fucking faces they're not in i'm not in person i'm going crazy guys i'm i'm going fucking crazy i think so oh my god if i could just corral a bunch of people up and throw them in my apartment just be like
Starting point is 00:37:21 sit down shut the fuck up i need to talk it out right now i need an audience i'm gonna have a live audience someday for this show like straight up i'll pack you in i'll literally pack you in like sardines into this this apartment and i'll be like all right come like gather around silence your phones let's talk i don't know and i could pull people up and from the audience and talk to them about i don't know fucking technology and what they ate for breakfast and why they eat it for breakfast. Cause I really want to know the science of their diet so I can apply that to my life and live their lifestyle. Let's do a BuzzFeed quiz. I'm sick of this episode, dude. I'm back, bitch. I'm back. I feel like the energy is, is finally up, but I shouldn't joke about getting
Starting point is 00:38:14 fired. Cause that's not smart. Probably. I don't know. We're going to do a quiz related to my pet. So just get over it. Tune out if you're bored about me talking about my dog. But the BuzzFeed quiz is choose a food for every. So now we're going to, guys, we're going to have fun because I'm going to talk about food. Choose a food for every occasion and we'll tell you what your pet really thinks of you. All right. First question.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Pick something to make for yourself. And I'm going to answer this super like what I do currently or right now. Like if I was eating any of this right now, what would I make? So pick something to make for yourself. Grilled cheese, fried rice, salad or pasta. A bitch is eating a salad and you don't even have to. Do I need to explain that? Do I need to explain that? Just understand that I only intend on eating salads for the next fucking six months to a year. Like I'm just at that point with my, my, um, my abdominal section where I'm like, I will do anything to have my abs back. And I haven't, I haven't really applied my, I haven't really applied myself. I'll be honest. I have
Starting point is 00:39:36 not been going hard in the paint with my diet. Like I should. And I just, you know what? I love fucking christian walker sorry on um on and so he's this super he's kind of like a radical i don't know if i want to call him radical he's a conservative conservative influencer guy on instagram and i like his stories he always makes great points and um he always talks about liberals and how they like to sit around and be lazy fucks and sit on their couch all day and eat and they're body positive and all that. And you guys, I've told you guys my opinion on body positivity and loving your body at every size. And he said something to, I'm just going to play the audio. It's so fucking good. He's like, cause he's telling the truth. He's being
Starting point is 00:40:21 honest and real here. Christian Walker. Um, why can't I find you, dude? I should just go. I don't know if I'm spelling his name right. Guys, here's a rant. I'm like trying to do a Buzzfeed quiz. i'm like here i'm gonna play someone's audio today from a insta story to search my following christian walker there he is okay so he goes to starbucks every day orders a drink and rants about politics and current events and stuff so here we go funny because every time i post a video i get a bunch of liberals in the comments who want to come in there and tell me you know i'm not right and this and that okay that's not it i think it's from this morning hold on let's just think like we all want to like sit on the couch and eat all day eat potato chips like i know it's trendy to be
Starting point is 00:41:15 body positive right now but i'm just going to be honest i'm not body positive i want to be fit and cute so sitting on the couch and they does not sound as attractive as building a brand and working out hi can i have three shots of espresso and a venti okay so you get it it's like you never hear anyone fucking say stuff like that like I am not body positive I want to be fit and cute and it sounds better to build a brand and exercise than sit around the couch and eat fucking potato chips all day and love my body like so anyways yeah I'm joking about the salad thing a little bit but um you know as you know uh, depression was hard on, on, on, on a bitch. It was hard on a bitch. I gained some weight and
Starting point is 00:42:04 I'm not, I'm not stoked about it. So back to the quiz, I'm eating a salad and, um, join me in this health, health journey of 2021. All right. Um, what would you cook for your significant other? Ooh, fuck yeah. Okay. So, oh, steak a hundred percent. Why would the, why the fuck would I make them a lava cake? Why would I make them salmon or risotto when I have the option here to pick steak dude that is my love language red meat for my man is my love language pick a meat pick a red meat uh you know I feel like I can do any meat right but like pick a red meat um that's it and here's the thing I love about cooking for a man I don't like it's probably so my favorite thing ever is making my man breakfast breakfast like waking him up waking
Starting point is 00:42:53 them up with breakfast and coffee and like that whole thing but like when I make meat and they love it I feel like I feel like I am it's like the ultimate like I am the top of the world like I accomplished I accomplished what I'm here to do I fed my man meat and he liked it it wasn't dry nothing makes me feel better about myself nothing and when I make them like cookies and they're just like oh my god oh my god yeah so someday you know we'll be back in that routine okay what would you make for your parent focaccia cupcakes roasted chicken chocolate truffles what I make for my mom or my dad chicken probably we fucking make cupcakes I don't know I'd make cupcakes guys I'd make them cupcakes but I don't think they'd eat them they wouldn't really eat them
Starting point is 00:43:58 I think they'd appreciate focaccia yeah okay why would I be making my parents this food because I feel like I'd be having them over for roast chicken if I had them over I want to be like hey come over let's have some fucking truffles truffles are like oh truffles are good but they're like you know when you have them with the cocoa powder roller like the balls with the cocoa powder around them they're so rich like it's so it's like instant diabetes I'm gonna make my parents I like roasting I'm gonna roast a chicken we're staying on the meat theme okay your little sister is inviting friends over what would you help her whip up in the kitchen first of all I don't have a little sister um but if I did
Starting point is 00:44:45 oh this is fun so I'm either making we're making little pizzas chicken nuggets brownies or fries dude we wouldn't be making fries I would say we're gonna either make personal pizzas with her friends or brownies and because they're little girls I feel like they love baking and I think we're gonna do brownies because that's fun to make with a bunch of little girls oh dude I should be a okay where can I find a bunch of little girls to cook with oh my god a daycare dude should I be a daycare worker should I fucking work at a daycare see here's the thing I like people I like kids a lot I I don't know if I did the right path guys what am I doing I'll just have like a bunch of
Starting point is 00:45:32 kids that'll fulfill me all right which cake are you making for your parents birthday caramel chocolate cheesecake ice cream chocolate okay what you're going to be a garden you're going to you're going to be a garden party you're going to a garden party what do you bring sausages roasted veggies bruschetta bruschetta how does uh giliana giliana de laurentis giliana de laurentis how does she say bruschetta bruschetta how does she say it i love when she pronounces anything italian i like watch the show for her giant smile and her pronunciation of fucking but even how she says like pasta is like pasta i don't know all right oh man i miss working an italian restaurant fuck that was great time all my managers were italian and they'd speak
Starting point is 00:46:26 an Italian to each other and, uh, damn it. Why am I American? I wish I was from fucking Europe. I hate my life. Okay. Why am I? Oh my God. This has been a crisis, a train wreck of an episode. Um, I just like, I just like Europe. I like thinking about it. I like imagining a European lifestyle sometimes. I'm sorry. Anyways, if I'm going to a garden party, am I bringing beer or sausages honestly I feel like I'm bringing the sausages I like providing meat to the the party because like side dishes are fun but if you're the one in charge of bringing the meat it's kind of simple you're just like I'm cooking the burgers or I got the I got the dogs I got the fucking ribs I'm like you have one mission it's like make the protein you don't have
Starting point is 00:47:20 to put a bunch of like slaws and mayo and dijon and cranberries and fucking broccoli florets in a bowl and mix it up and buy all these ingredients or make a fucking layer dip and spread it out stack it up and there's a sour cream and the cheese and the chives on top then you gotta buy the fucking chips or I like to go lazy and just bring the the chips but um it's probably because I like being the star of the show and I feel like people go for the meat at a barbecue and so it's like if you're the one making the meat and you make it good it's like dude I should should I just open a fucking barbecue joint does San Diego have one I don't know dude I want barbecue so bad right now choose a comfort food chocolate chip cookies mac and
Starting point is 00:48:01 cheese apple pie or noodles 100% oh fuck mac or cookies I gotta go cookies come on come on chocolate chip cookies are um they're just undefeated or whatever the fuck like perfect food there's only mac and cheese is one of those two like there's foods out there that are just for example ice cream pizza donuts chocolate chip cookies ice cream peanuts donuts chocolate chip cookies yeah you can't really throw burritos and tacos in there because I feel like it fluctuates like there's some I don't know too many too many variations of that what else is a perfect food Oreos like they're Oreos there's nothing like it you can't what's another perfect Reese's peanut butter cups I could probably list 50 right now guys it's about lunchtime I'm hungry
Starting point is 00:48:55 as fuck what would you pick on a hot summer day oh my god obviously ice cream gazpacho watermelon lemonade or ice cream uh this summer I'll be I'll be eating watermelon excuse me my uh old self would have said ice cream I'm doing watermelon after I just picked chocolate chip cookies but what would I pick on a hot summer day dude nothing is better than watermelon at the beach I fucking love watermelon okay and finally pick something you have on a cold winter day oh I fucking love beef stew oh my god wait beef stew hot chocolate casserole or pie on a, what was it? A cold winter day. Okay. Casseroles are so good. So we make in our family, we make, um, I think my grandma makes it. Oh my God. It's so good with like, I put so much
Starting point is 00:49:49 ketchup on it. So when my mom had cancer, oh my God, I haven't, I've never podcasted about my mom having cancer. I should do a topic. I should do it. I hope my mom's okay with that. I should think she would be just like my experience with you know finding out and being with her throughout the whole chemo radiation and her surgeries and all that um that's wild I don't think I've ever mentioned my mama my mama cancer but anyways when she was going through it you know recovering from surgery whatever my um my grandma would make tater tot casserole all the time for us and it would be like so the bottom is I believe ground beef with like cream of mushroom I want to say there's like a there's like a liquid involved I think it's like a cream of mushroom soup at the
Starting point is 00:50:40 bottom with the ground beef and then on top of that there's peas green peas and I think on top of that there's mashed potatoes and then on top of that there's more potatoes there's tater tots and then on top of that there's cheese and then you bake it or whatever and then you scoop it out in a bowl and like you put I put so much ketchup on it I like it's half ketchup half casserole I love guys I know there's an actual disease if you don't like ketchup my ex had it it's called um fear of ketchup there's an actual thing more to set oh fuck it's so long more to secuse phobia more to secuse phobia an abnormal fear of ketchup more to secuse phobia so um but yeah i love ketchup um
Starting point is 00:51:39 you know I'm I'm white okay white trash at heart that tater tater tater talk casserole like that is a fucking most white trash probably food I've well dude our little smokies our little wiener dogs we always have at the or wrapped in bacon or anything with cool whip I love my culture you know what there is some TikToks I was watching guys let's just answer this answer this final question I'll talk about my white culture my white trash culture okay pick something I'd have um on a cold winter day I'm having that casserole your pet thinks you're annoying so do you guys your pet thinks you're annoying your pet generally thinks you're annoying
Starting point is 00:52:31 maybe i've said that five times maybe you pet them too much or sing too loud however as long as you feed them they will they won't complain too much so based on those food choices on this quiz my pet thinks i'm annoying thanks buzzfeed that was a great time but um i love going on tiktok and watching black people defend white people they're like they're like uh first of all they're like racism isn't real they go into that and they're black so that's interesting and kind of insightful to see their perspective about it and guys I'm just kind of at this phase of like anything I see that's popular through social media or the media I'm pretty much going I'm kind of going against it I'm like
Starting point is 00:53:17 um this is literally all about making money all of these messages and all of these movements it's all about fucking money and so and and building fear and and division because you gotta it's just so anyway so it's fun for me like I go on the weird sides of TikTok sometimes and anyways but it's so funny I was watching this this black guy talk about white people and like white trash culture and like how a lot of people say that white people don't have a culture and he's like well he was like listing off I wish I could find it he was listing off all the things white people do he's like that looks fucking fun or oh my god like you know um how is that not culture or how is that not you know why is that bland or boring it's like that's literally what
Starting point is 00:54:10 we would if we did this it would be culture but because they're white it's not so i don't know i thought it was kind of fun to see his perspective um and again like it's just kind of refreshing because a lot of the shit you see is it's just one-sided on the media and then you're like oh the people themselves are like i don't feel oppressed bitch i live here i got a great i got a great life i'm free i can say what i want i got mcdonald's i fucking you know i'm fine you know they're not like oh my god white people are coming after me with an axe every day and i'm fucking oppressed and my life is so hard because I'm black like it's refreshing to hear people say I don't feel that way because I don't think it's a black and white issue it's definitely
Starting point is 00:54:56 oh my god like you know what I mean like there's not it's not just like I don't know all right that was kind of long but I feel good see the thing that's positive news is I feel good today um I'm still this is like absolutely my passion 100% I I feel like today's episode while it went a thousand different directions which is the nature I feel like that's the nature of a podcaster that just comes with it uh pick a tangent go on a different one instead. Pick a tangent, stick with it, forget why you were on the other one. And then you just never, it's just a fucking stream of consciousness. This is why I call it an audio diary. A lot of people journal and they'll journal until, you know, for five minutes about whatever they're
Starting point is 00:55:49 thinking. I'm basically doing that, but I'm, uh, talking it out loud, saying it out loud. Um, but yeah, this episode kind of reconfirmed that I fucking love it here I like the microphone thing I like podcasting this is my fucking passion I love doing it and um I don't want to go away like I really think I don't know there's something freeing and I think this is what my soul needed let's not in the episode let's just work this out I think my soul just needed to let go and this is like the one only way that's ever worked like the only uh this is the per it's like the perfect way for me to let go and release without trying to control and um worry about the content
Starting point is 00:56:47 and how it looks or comes across because I can't control it when I when I talk out loud and I just say what's on my mind obviously I can I'm in control of my own I can choose my words wisely I definitely can do that and I can you know be a little more calculated with what I say but in a world of cancel culture in a world where anything you say is going to get clapped back and someone's gonna disagree with you and tell you why you're a terrible person whatever in a world like that that we currently kind of live in I decided I don't want to live in a world like that I don't want to I don't want to have to play small and not say what I want because of that that's not what I grew up that's not the
Starting point is 00:57:33 world I grew up in so me being the change I want to see in the world is me saying it like it is being real and a little unfiltered very unfiltered and owning it standing in my standing my ground and saying this is me this is what I think it's okay to have it it's okay this is what's um appalling about appalling my fifth grade teacher would always say fifth graders I am appalled I'm appalled fifth graders but what's appalling is that if you disagree with someone's opinion now or it becomes instead of just going oh this is a human being with a different life experience and a different perspective now it's like okay this person has an opposing opinion and now it's like okay they believe that therefore they suck
Starting point is 00:58:30 they're a terrible person they should be canceled or whatever like it turns into a personal thing where instead of just going oh there's a brain with a different perspective because of their life experience you have to always remember people think what they think because of their own journey and life and there's the situations they've been in and you know what they've witnessed that's why they think the way they think and so to attack someone personally because of that for just simply having like a difference of opinion in politics or you know I feel like religion is just like it's gonna always kind of be there with certain groups but um it's just kind of dumb no offense but like if you i don't know i just it's wild when you see like oh we're all we're
Starting point is 00:59:22 all about accepting everyone and every anything goes and everyone's acceptable and then the second someone disagrees with you you're just like fuck you you're a terrible person like how does that work so anyways yeah this is what kind of my little muscle I'm injecting into the the universe of like I don't want to fear the beast of cancel culture I want to fucking head it head in the storm I want to face the storm head on come at me bitch let's go let's fight I don't care leave me a one star one star review to let me know how terrible I am as a person that's what I always say I'm like yo if you gotta if you just want to get if you want to attack me the right way just leave a one-star review force this podcast down at the bottom of the barrel
Starting point is 01:00:11 just one-star review me report my Instagram send I don't know I think that's just like do it that way sometimes I get DMs or people are like like I don't get too many but people try to debate me about whatever it is I said on the podcast I'm just like I don't know that's okay I'm up for I'm totally down to debate but um it's like I don't know it's like a sport for some people I feel like they can't let shit go they're like I just gotta like convince her why she's wrong we're gonna go on this I don't usually get into it too deep with people but at some point you go look we can we can disagree and that's okay you're not it's not like you have to this is the biggest lesson I learned when I ruined Thanksgiving last year um sort of joking sort of not I think
Starting point is 01:01:08 the episode is called I ruined Thanksgiving my mom's boyfriend's like Jacqueline you don't always have to try to convince the other side you don't always have to convince people and get them to agree and get them convinced it's okay if you're just like all right they think that you think this that's it like I think one of my challenges or um in the past I obviously definitely learned that lesson now um finally and I think it was just like a stupid thing about Harry Styles wearing a dress and I was trying to like explain why I was explaining my opinion they were explaining theirs and I was trying to convince them of mine and it just got like heated in a weird way and I was like this is literally over a fucking dress like what's happening it was thanksgiving um
Starting point is 01:01:57 but i don't know you don't have to like go hard until the other side is like i don't know because it's easy this is what happens in conversation now i feel like people go i just don't understand how they don't see what i see like how can they be that dumb it becomes like oh they're just stupid because they don't see what i see and it's i don't as i'm growing up i'm learning people just their brains are programmed in a certain way and that is you can't you can't interject that and go think different especially when people age it's like it's just one of those things in life and i think you can learn a lot when people disagree with you and we can go into an entire fucking episode about that all the things i learned from someone disagreeing with me that should be i could
Starting point is 01:02:46 do an entire podcast on that. Like, wow. That could be an entire podcast. Someone should start that. Just interview people you disagree with and have a discussion. Wow.
