Starting point is 00:00:00 Episode 17. Welcome back to the podcast. Happy Sunday, everyone. I'm going to kick things off right now by speaking directly to ABC's The Bachelorette. I came up with this idea on my Instagram live stream last night, and I feel like I just need to like get this out in the universe. So hi, ABC's The Bachelorette. Hi, my name's Jacqueline. And what if I did a podcast series where I go on zoom dates with guys and try to find love over like I don't know a few months or something so yeah um what do you think is that a is that a good idea is that a are you jealous that I came up with that idea and you didn't yet I don't know um so yeah we'll talk more about that later but I just had to get that out of the out of the way in the beginning of the podcast so
Starting point is 00:00:51 episode 17 I really am trying to bring the energy like I did on my live stream last night I, uh, I was on one and I, I purposely went on a live stream to exhaust myself so I could go to sleep. And I ended up staying up till 2 AM. So anyways, it's going to be a high energy episode. Hopefully I got my iced coffee on deck. You know, the, you know, the vibes, um, I'm well rested, feeling excited to talk. I have so much going on today. I have so many sticky notes. I have so much writing I just did. Um, I, it's a lot, but today's going to be like story time Sunday. I'm going to go over my update the last 24 hours. I'm going to talk about what I talked about on my live stream last night. I'm going to reveal what my dinner was last night. Cause nobody could guess.
Starting point is 00:01:41 So if you watch my live stream last night, I'm going to say, Hey, this is what I had. Anyways. I don't, I don't know. I'm just trying to make this fun. This is my podcast. I can do whatever I want. You know, the vibes, you know, the vibes. I need to stop saying that. I'm a little pissed off that I drink like 90% of my iced coffee before I started. And usually I like to drink about 30%. So that way throughout the podcast, I have enough. And so I'm a little bit scared that I'm going to run out. And anyways, okay, let's kick things off with episode 17. Oh, okay. So I've been like poking around Google to like find writing about it just like blog posts and stuff about podcasting and right now they're calling
Starting point is 00:02:28 podcasting the new blogging like that's like the new blogging okay and then people say that podcasting is the it's a way you can scale intimacy with your audience which I totally have all are already established here on on TJMS because y'all are in uh we're in love at this point, I keep bringing up the fact that, you know, who else is talking to you seven days a week, like me, you know, I'm talking to the guys out there, what woman is in your ear this long, every single day, is my voice sounding like, I'm like, I don't know what's going on, I, I'll be honest, before I started recording this, I pressed the record button like 17 times and uh it's funny how my brain just said 17 because this is episode 17
Starting point is 00:03:17 shout out doing 17 podcast episodes 17 days in a row um what was I saying oh but I I kept trying to do the intro like so many times and so I feel like my voice is like gonna I'm gonna lose my voice on this episode but I really want a sexy scratchy voice so it's okay um okay just like anyways, um, what was I going to talk about? Oh yeah. So I've been like reading about podcasting. I'm trying to like immerse myself in, you know, in it and really understand what, what's the conversation going on out there. So everyone's talking about podcasting, the new blogging, whatever. But like, here's the thing. This is my passion. This is my hobby. This is the thing I will never ever get sick of. And I love the fact that I built this hobby around my favorite
Starting point is 00:04:02 time of day and my favorite daily ritual which is I wake up in the morning and I do this podcast but that's when I also make my coffee and get my day started and usually I do like a workout before my podcast it's like this perfect storm so I'm just so excited to like I don't know I'll never get sick of this I just want to like it's like this people there's so much how-to shit out there like how to like get your first thousand downloads on podcasts like on your podcast and how to you know market yourself and all this shit and it's like honestly I'm just trying to like I don't know fucking I'm just following in the footsteps of my elders that came before me okay I'm doing them a solid I'm following suit practicing what they preach okay
Starting point is 00:04:48 my elders like Gary Vee he would tell me to just buck up and do it make a podcast put out 40 pieces of content a day and I'm just making a daily podcast on his behalf and all the other podcasting elders out there right now that are um killing the game like they're my inspo I'm just trying to like I'm just trying to like it's my it's my hobby just like it's their I don't know what I'm saying but like I don't want to fucking niche down you know everyone all the all these blog posts I'm reading are like you know find your niche or like really niche down like answer people's questions and so when they search they can find your podcast and all this stuff and I'm like bitch I just want to talk about whatever I want to talk about I don't want to write like a
Starting point is 00:05:27 fancy description for SEO so Google can find me or whatever, or I, like, I'm bumped up on the Google searches, and I don't want to make fancy, like, titles, and I don't want to do any of that shit, like, I'm my fucking own niche, I'm my own niche, anyways, I just realized that, like, if I pin myself into a corner with, like, a single niche or topic, and I had to talk about that seven days a week, I'm gonna go insane, like, I'm, I just, I just want to talk about whatever I want to talk about, hi, okay, this is annoying, this is boring, but I'm charismatic as fuck, I can talk about whatever I want for as long as I want, like, we all know this, you know, I'm self-aware, I'm trying to, like, practice that self-awareness shit, and I can, I can just, like, anyways, um, is this
Starting point is 00:06:13 how people become TV personalities? Is this how they become TV personalities? I don't know, abc hit me up bachelorette needs me i guess i don't know what i'm saying okay so we have we have a lot to talk okay that's honestly because i just feel like that idea is so it hasn't been done before so that's why i had to bring it up and like get that out of the way in the beginning of the podcast so like if someone tuned in in the first minute they'd be like oh shit you know they haven't really popped off in the podcast space maybe this is a good idea if it's not me it might be someone else but i'm just volunteering um i'm not ready for love yet I've I'm just I'm not there I'm really not but um maybe this series could start in like 2021
Starting point is 00:06:54 you know when I'm a little more uh you know when I have less uh I don't know when when shit calms down so anyways um taking applications or I'm taking pre-season uh auditions in my dms right now so slide in if you want to if you want to fall in love with me let's uh let's talk let's chat slide in um I do have some I have my roster kind of started my mental roster and you know who you are I think I think if you're listening you might know who you are and um I'm thinking about you too so like I'm I'm uh I'm excited I think this might be a really good thing for us and uh yeah wow anyways okay so let's talk about the coffee fact I just got my Jacob's coffee delivery from Amazon yesterday and I'm not affiliated with them I'm not trying to like plug this at all but
Starting point is 00:07:44 it's the greatest instant coffee of all time I think I like European shit if we've established anything like I fucking love Europe I love I love European coffee I like European cultures I like everything about Europe okay so this is a European coffee it's an instant coffee so the fact I'm gonna read is just the about section on their website because I've never actually gone to their website so joe and jacobs founded his business in bremen bremen bremen germany in 1895 he understood the power of coffee's aroma and how it can magically awaken the spirit facts he knew that the aroma of coffee was more than just a mark of quality to joe and jacobs aroma was the key that unlocked the magic of coffee and his ultimate goal was to bring this
Starting point is 00:08:28 to the people this remains the goal at the heart of the jacobs brand and still the promise we keep to all of our customers today beautiful beautifully written now joe and jacob's signature it looks like john hancock's uh penmanship so that's kind of strange um dude i remember so like when i would learn about the declaration of independence and shit in elementary school like you cannot unsee john hancock's um signature like that's in that's embedded in my brain forever because like that was such a was that the Declaration of Independence I don't fucking know but I like remember the president's signatures John Hancock was he a he was just like a I don't even know who that is what did school teach me I don't know we're gonna talk about school a little
Starting point is 00:09:16 bit in this podcast for my story time I'm gonna talk about fall time college football days I'm gonna talk about you know fall stories Halloween time I'm gonna get you guys really cozy you know so you're gonna like nestle up with yourself and listen to this because we're gonna sit here and reminisce together because you know what I love reminiscing I just I love thinking about sweet times sweet memories and hi I'm gonna do that for you today I don't have any people watching to update you on right now so I had a Prius parked outside earlier and it's really um just such an eyesore and I'm glad it pulled away so I'm sorry um okay where was I at coffee fact done crossing that shit off crossing this shit off I have so many notes guys I can't wait for this like I'm
Starting point is 00:10:02 like OCD where I'm just so stoked to see more um this is so dumb but like my notebook the more it gets full like the more happy like it makes me happy to see how much I'm writing every day I'm like oh my god I'm making progress I'm making podcasts every single day um we'll talk about my live stream too kind of like what I talked about last night because I have some juicy shit um anyways how are you guys doing how are you feeling it's sunday i'm trying to bring the energy i think a couple episodes ago i was like dude i sound like i'm about to take a nap so what the fuck um okay so 24 hour update start off with the outfit of the day before i recorded this i took a cold shower and i was like oh i need a sweatshirt and then i started overheating
Starting point is 00:10:43 and i am just wearing my calvin klein cotton bra with my i think these are from h&m they're the cutest shorts Karina L she's like a fitness chick on um Instagram I love her I'm like I'm just in love with her like fully deeply completely anyways but she always wears shorts like this and they're I'm like leaning back trying to read the tag I think they're from H&M but they're like gray sweat shorts with like I don't know they're cute so I'm wearing that uh no shoes today usually wear a pair of stripper heels and I decided not to today um what else is happening my two gold chains on my work on my wrists I'm into these like new chains I wear um I don't know they're like gold I like having jewelry so like when I'm at the gym I just feel like my outfit usually
Starting point is 00:11:28 looks like shit like I talked about my live last night dude I have a motor mouth right now I cannot stop and I feel like it's really monotones like there's no inflection I'm not talking up and down like this I have a motor mouth okay so and my voice is going away okay hi happy Sunday I'm try to breathe the energy. I'm really excited. Okay. Um, anyways, but I talked about on my live stream last night, how I purposely go to the gym and look like shit. Cause I don't want anyone to see my body. I don't want anyone to look at me. I don't want to be looked at. So I wear like a giant ass t-shirt. I don't, I have like my acne popping off. Cause I've been like popping my zits lately and just not giving a fuck. I don't wear any makeup. My eyelashes are
Starting point is 00:12:06 like falling out. My serum backfired. And so instead of making my lashes grow, they're like falling out. So Grande Lash, I'm looking at you. I'm calling you out. What's going on? I need to talk. We need to talk. Okay. Shout out Grande Lash because, you know, for the beginning of quarantine when I was really feeling like shit about myself, the one thing I loved were my eyelashes because it really worked. So anyways, I'm wearing my bracelets here, my whoop strap. Whoop strap recovery last night, 13 fucking percent. 13 fucking percent it's because I had broken sleep and uh it was up till 2 a.m looking at a weird corner of the internet called like Dr. Pimple Popper on Instagram I got on that and I'm like why am I
Starting point is 00:12:50 looking at this and anyways so why am I on Instagram right now like I get sidetracked and on the podcast I need to put my phone away so yeah whoop shop 13 percent slept like shit I woke up at like six like my normal wake-up time and then I was like fuck it's six I went to bed it too so then I slept back I slept for like three more hours and then yeah Sunday I'm just who gives a fuck 13% I'll be fine but I'm still probably gonna go lift like a badass tonight I'm so in love with my my lifting routine right now and my hamstrings are fucked because of it so anyways oh my perfume today is okay Jocelyn slow the fuck down how are you gonna find love if you talk this fast no one's gonna be able to keep up
Starting point is 00:13:32 um, okay, so my perfume today is La Vie a Belle by Lancome, it was my mom's, I think she gave it to me, so that's my perfume today, go to Nordstrom, you can sniff it if you want to know what I smell like, okay, um, let's see, yesterday, let's talk about my 24-hour update, I basically podcasted, made some breakfast, did some work, um, oh, I got scammed into buying a kitten, a fake website that look legit was it had this adorable little British short hair British short hair kitten on it and it was the type of a lot of these cat websites they honestly look like it's fucking 1999 like they're so old-fashioned so they're all kind of like that so it doesn't look scammy if they're all like that right so anyways I've been looking for a kitten I feel like I'm going to be talking
Starting point is 00:14:20 about getting a cat for like the next six years until I find the perfect like I I'm not going to adopt something from a shelter with a missing eye like I've established the fact that you know what I can't save the world I can't save all the kittens I'd love to adopt I'd love to rescue but I just I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm just I want a really I want a champion breed like beautiful cat I just do okay like I'm sorry I'm not sorry that's just my truth whatever so anyways I found this British Shorthair kitten and uh this the website was like oh you know you're welcome to text us or whatever so I was texting back and forth for like a good hour and I it got to the point where he was like asking for money and we were he was sending me emails and pictures and like really all these
Starting point is 00:15:05 details seem legit and I asked him if we could FaceTime with a cat can I FaceTime with a cat right now and like can I you know because it's in Florida they're gonna ship it that's a whole thing they do with online cat ordering or whatever you can like order a cat like fucking Amazon like an Amazon package. So yeah, I just immediately got the vibe that, yeah, this is probably a scam, like a Craigslist scam. I was like, God damn it. So, and I looked up and there's a lot of, a lot of cat adopting scams out there. So I fell for it. All right. It's okay. You learn your lesson. You move on. So yeah, I looked at a cat, got scammed. Um, it was so cute. It was a gray British short hair with the biggest eyes. So I'm between a munchkin cat or a British short hair or
Starting point is 00:15:45 a Maine Coon. I used to have a Maine Coon, Norwegian forest hunter cat, rest in peace Duke. he was eaten by a coyote and I got to hear him uh I got to hear his death scream so that was very traumatizing my childhood trauma is from is mostly just me having to deal with a lot of dead animals growing up out on a farm um so yeah so what was I saying anyways those are like the three breeds I'm really into but I think uh British Shorthair is like I don't know they're just really cute so yeah i did that i went to the gym i lifted uh told you already i like my hamstrings are fucked i did single leg rdls like heavy and i haven't done those since like fucking february and my hamstrings are screaming at me today so before this like when i woke up this
Starting point is 00:16:34 morning i foam foam rolled for like three hours not really that long but dude have i drank coffee yet I'm gonna try to keep this podcast to an hour I'm gonna push myself okay um I'm just like I don't know oh and then after the gym so this is my story last night I was so hyped coming out of my out of my workout like okay my Jacob's coffee delivery happened around 6 p.m. and I'm like I need I just I need something to help boost me for this workout and usually I take a little pre-workout thing it's like fucking oxy shred it tastes like shit oh wait there's my positive affirmation alarm anyways um it tastes like shit so I like paid like 60 bucks for it and I hate it but usually I drink a little bit of that but instead I did my Jacob's coffee last night and
Starting point is 00:17:22 I made a latte like I'm drinking now so I had all this energy and I think the caffeine was still in my body or something but I came home I was listening to fucking Weed Em Boys by Wiz Khalifa a it's in the cd in my car that's like the only cd I have and it like glitches like every other song like skips but um anyways I was listening to that and I was feeling myself so hard I was like dancing you know just like screaming these songs out I was also listening to what was the other one I don't know I think I had the radio on just like whatever popular songs going on right now probably not WAP the radio version of WAP can go it just needs to there's no point in playing whop on the radio there's too many words cut out it doesn't make any sense it's just like stop
Starting point is 00:18:03 um so I I put my sunglasses on guys I was in my car I had my sunglasses on because I was just like feeling myself like just this bad bitch listening to weed and boys song of the day weed and boys and I drove through the town and I was just like vibing out with my music all the way up people are out on the town Saturday night of course I'm not I'm not participating in that shit Corona's going on. What are they doing? What are they doing in this, in this climate? They're out getting a, getting a brew and a slice. Is that like the New Yorker term? They're getting a brew and a slice. We don't have like, well, it's little Italy here. So it's like Italian, Italian vibes downtown, but people were out, you know, and I'm, I'm driving through the town, just blasting music
Starting point is 00:18:51 with my fucking sunglasses on. And anyways, I had all this energy. So this is part of my 24 hour update so then I was like you know what I need to like get tired somehow how am I gonna get tired so um I showered I like got in my bathrobe and I went on my live stream and made some dinner um and talked to you guys so that was so fun and you guys have never been that interactive with me ever on a live and I was really embarrassed because I'm like this is so sad like people hate live streams and mine stopped and started like not even kidding probably 12 times and I kept pushing myself I was like you know what I'm gonna try again I'm not a quitter I know it's annoying to keep restarting a live stream but I I never gave up I never gave up so um we had an
Starting point is 00:19:34 issue with my connection so anyways I talked to you guys and we talked about a lot of shit um while I was eating dinner I had people try to guess what I was eating and no one guessed it so here's the big ass reveal it finally took me like you know half an hour to get to it but hey I think shout out to you Ozzy if you're listening or who else was listening uh Ricky or you're trying to guess what I was eating I didn't eat very much protein yesterday and I usually try to I don't like track anything but I know intuitively like Jacqueline you just did a huge lifting session you need some fucking quick protein and I just had to fuck I had two cans of tuna man I had two cans of tuna put a little mustard on that shit a little spices a little bit of well I sauced it up
Starting point is 00:20:15 a little bit and just ate it so that's what I ate last night tuna my albacore wild caught safe catch so you know what it does the job I have this weird I don't know I'm a little bit I'm a little bit embarrassed to tell you guys that I ate tuna like just canned tuna for dinner last night and my kombucha but you saw it I was on camera eating it and you guys are so confused someone asked it someone thought it was turkey pot pie I don't know so yeah that's what I did last night um and then I stayed up till like two because I was too energized and uh why am I holding my boobs right now my boobs are still really sore I know I've been like TMI-ing you guys with my um that time of the month shit but it's it's quickly it's it's quickly approaching I can tell this is like the
Starting point is 00:21:00 worst it's been I didn't have so the thing about being a girl is like I feel like you go in like your body changes and stuff but like I'd never had this hardcore pain in my boobs until like the last couple years it's so insane and I've been blessed like I don't have my periods like two days it's nothing you know I don't get cramps I've never I don't even know what cramps feel like like I'm pretty lucky but my boobs hurt like a motherfucker okay people watching time we have a husky on a leash we got a woman I don't know she's got a cute outfit on uh I've never I don't recognize her I'm trying to paint a picture for you guys I'm doing a shitty job she's got a low pony she's really tan let's see she's got some like adidas sneakers on those look like
Starting point is 00:21:49 Lululemon. I don't know what variety of those pants are. Okay. Anyways, that's annoying. That's boring. Um, her dog's cute. It looks like it's at a healthy weight. Nice shiny coat. She's definitely given it some omegas. She's sneaking in that fish oil for that dog. I don't know. So yeah. Um, anyways, my boobs hurt. It's all good. I'm wearing a little cotton bra to help support them um so I've got a lot of notes in in front of me here oh I do want to start my I was going to sign up myself for a p.o box um because you know what I just really want you guys to feel like you're a part of something you're a part of something bigger than yourself you're part of a community organization like a senior center a senior citizen center online but it's for uh
Starting point is 00:22:38 all age groups, so yeah, I want to start a P.O. box, so that you guys can, you know, share the good news, you can send me a little message, and send me a little bag of coffee, or something, I don't know, just like, keep it interesting, keep me on my toes, and I might do one of the October 1st podcast, video podcast drops on YouTube, subscribe to my YouTube channel, I'm gonna do like a little P.O. unboxing, and I don't know, it's just like, I think it'd be fun, and I want free shit, so hit me up, send me P.O. box shit when I, when I, um, when I drop the address in a few, a few days, I haven't really, I need to, like, that's on a sticky note, I'm gonna get that done today, I'm gonna sign up for a P.O. box, okay, um, nothing illegal, please, in the P.O. box,
Starting point is 00:23:26 Jesus, I'm scared, sometimes it scares me, so let's see, um, what's on my note here, 24-hour update seems like it's over we can move on to the story time um oh I mentioned last night not to be serious right now but like let's be serious for two seconds I always get nervous to be like to talk about I don't know my opinions and stuff and get more serious because I think it's it's not as like fun in it I don't know it's not like funny it's just like Jacqueline stop trying to save the world, but here's what I talked about in my live last night, so get in your body, get in your feels right now, I want you to close your eyes, close your eyes right now, and imagine, imagine a time in your life, you might be in your 20s, you might be in your 30s, your 40s, your 50s, okay, close
Starting point is 00:24:18 your eyes, all right, you're still here, you're still on this planet, notification off, please, phone um now imagine a time when the president of the United States personally fucked you over and your life sucked because that was the president because that was um because he or she or no he was the president think of a time where you were like my life is fucked now because that person is the president think about it so anyways I talked about that on my live last night how like everyone is so emotionally charged by whoever becomes president and it's like insanity and it's not, it's not supposed to be like this, but it's this, it's this new wave. And I think what it is. So my, my little opinion here, I'll get, I'll get to the more like, you know, fun shit
Starting point is 00:25:13 later. Just, just skip ahead if you're bored. Um, the, I think the issue we're all having right now in this time is like no one is there reassuring us no one's taking the edge off for real being like you know we're here with you it's gonna be okay we have a plan and it's like this we actually feel hope and we actually feel like we're these kids being consoled by our parents that are you know by our leader who's like it's gonna be okay we don't have that and I think we don't have that um type of person right now and um anyways like we're not being told what we want to hear which is like how like Obama would do it or Bush or whatever like they would be more like presidential and like it's gonna be okay and you know they they would be more I don't know so
Starting point is 00:26:01 anyways but yeah it's true though like I don't think anyone can say I mean okay there's obviously groups out there, I will say that maybe a new law was passed or whatever, and then they were fucked, because they, I don't know, I can't think of an example, but anyways, um, I just talked about it on the live last night, anyways, stop fucking stoking the fire and bitching about it, let's just get through it, we're gonna get through it, we're honestly, we're gonna get through it, it's gonna be fine, yeah why did I talk about that I don't want to get talk about politics I'm just saying like it's not that fucking like we're all fine we're all fine it's gonna be okay the uncertainty
Starting point is 00:26:48 is coming from the fact that we don't have someone consoling us and telling us it's gonna be okay and just like giving us that you know that little taking the edge off man we all need someone to take the edge off, like, the rock, you know, when the rock comes on Instagram and tells us stuff, it's like, we all feel like someone's, someone's in our camp, someone's really, like, we feel, we feel okay, anyways, what the fuck am I talking about for, okay, this podcast is, like, I, I have these false stories I want to talk about, so let's, let's segue into that, trying to keep the energy up for Sunday, um, my back kind of hurts, I'm cracking it, cracking my back, I'm in the studio here, and I need to clean, it's kind of getting cluttery, but I did it on
Starting point is 00:27:32 purpose, because I'm trying to, like, work on my, um, my, my mental health, or whatever the fuck it's called, I'm trying to work on the fact that I have this really weird, I don't know how to explain it, like, I'm annoyed by clutter because of the minimalism inspo shit out there, but I like having my favorite things around me and so I'm trying to pretend like this is my little cubicle this is my little studio I'm a little kid these are all my favorite toys it's fun to look at I'm not you know so anyways um let's talk about my trip last fall I went home my mom's been sending me a lot of videos and pictures of my my cousin she's almost two now I think and I don't know It's getting, it's making me reminisce about last year when I went home for, I went home
Starting point is 00:28:24 in like October. It was just to have like a fall trip to see my family. And I went home, I think it was like a few days, but anyways, I like miss going to the pumpkin patch. I miss getting like a little, um, like a caramel apple and like, what else? Or just like picking apples at the apple orchard. What else was like a fall thing? Ride in a hayride, go into a corn maze.
Starting point is 00:28:45 Um, what else would I do? I don't, or just like hunkering down in a storm. You know what I mean? in the fall like there's always some crazy thunderstorms out where I live in Washington and that kind of stuff so I'm kind of feeling like I can't wait for um Christmas time because I'm gonna go home all of basically all of December and that's gonna be fun because I'm just gonna be home I'm not gonna have it's gonna be great but anyways I'm excited to be in that like Pacific Northwest stormy cold fall shit because it's been so hot here like it's too hot
Starting point is 00:29:18 and it's, and I don't know how to work my AC, and I'm just, I'm just, the fans aren't working, it's just not okay, um, so yeah, anyways, I miss, like, I miss the Northwest right now a lot, because my mom's been sending me lots of pictures of the family, and I'm like, shit, I'm really missing out on my cousin's life, and I'm like, she's growing up in front of me on, like, every day, there's, like, a new picture, and she's slowly getting older, and that's how I'm um seeing her grow up and I have like this weird guilt about that as a family member I'm like I'm the kid on her own out in California no one else in my family lives out here that I'm the only person here um but whatever I'm just it's my it it's not that big of a deal but I think like
Starting point is 00:30:04 this year's made me realize the things that are truly important the simple things in life like your fucking relationships with your family members and how, I don't know. It's just trying to get back to my roots. I'm really trying to get back to my roots. Maybe I'll pack up and leave someday, but honestly, I don't know. Um, so yeah, let's talk about story time Sunday. Uh, I'm looking at my note here talking about the pumpkin patch with the fam. I already talked about that. I got my bumpy pumpkin next to me here from Vaughn's. He was a dollar 99 and, uh, he's so cute I'm holding him he has these little bumps all over him why am I coming down right now it's that 13% recovery bitch it's that 13% oh my god that 13% recovery starting to show its face and
Starting point is 00:30:52 I'm starting to feel like I'm getting a little too tired and like what the fuck this is supposed to be the hypey episode I'm supposed to be really full of energy and oh my god guys let's talk about Halloween movies and all the candy we would eat as kids and like going to school during Halloween time and wearing I remember in Catholic school we would have um we wore uniforms right but we'd have days of the week called free dress days free dress it's like wear your normal clothes and I remember wearing like a Halloween turtleneck and a crew neck over it or something like a little it would be like a white turtleneck with ghosts and shit on it and then like an orange crew neck with like a pumpkin in the middle or something so yeah that's kind of shit I would
Starting point is 00:31:37 rock in the elementary in the elementary days but dude there's something about like hearing the monster mash and being in school during Halloween time when everyone would decorate their doors that they're on their um on their class like the classroom would I remember we'd have like fucking competitions around the school you would decorate your class's door and put like cobwebs and shit all over it and I think was it like maybe eighth grade I don't know we had like a fog machine a black light um we made like a a whole like I don't remember but something like that so yeah Halloween was a vibe in school dude remember eating candy when it wouldn't kill you if you ate it like remember being a kid and eating so much Halloween candy and it was like nothing you were
Starting point is 00:32:24 it was like your body was fine I just miss those days because like I would eat so fucking much okay on Halloween now I'm doing a story time talked about the family pumpkin patch thing I went to last year with my cousins and my aunts and all them okay I'm like reading my note this is this is like the part I should fucking edit out but I won't oh mom's red hot popcorn mom's red hot popcorn that's a throwback I miss my mom she used to not for a long time she hasn't made this and forever but these little red hot candies um I don't even know if they're around anymore but she would like melt them in popcorn it was so good it's like a fall thing anyways so Halloween in school what was I talking about candy fucking trick-or-treating and then coming home and then
Starting point is 00:33:11 sorting all of your candy like by variety and then trading it with your siblings and I'll be honest I was an almond joy bitch. I didn't mind. I didn't mind that little almond. I didn't mind that little coconut. I was an almond joy bitch. And I think a lot of people would think that's controversial and kind of strange, but I was into the candy no one liked. And so my siblings would give me their shit, but, um, I went fuck it. You will not, you will not get a Reese's peanut butter cup off of me. Absolutely not, not happening. I'll pass you a Milky Way. I'll pass you a, what's the other one? I'm like, whatever about Snickers. I'd keep my Snickers. I need that little peanut crunch. The Milky Way is missing. The Milky Way is missing that peanut
Starting point is 00:33:53 thing that the Snickers bar has. What else would I pass away? Dude, I like that York patty. That fucking York patty is okay with me. What's like the one Butterfinger? You're not taking that off of me honestly none of them I I wasn't picky about it I'll eat anything but what was I will not eat black licorice but that wasn't really really a Halloween candy anyways dude how about the family's trying to give out um like healthy snacks like here's a here's a fruit snack just like great I'll put that in my school lunch next week but I'm not eating it like this is not for Halloween trying to like reminisce right now and make you guys try to like get in your feels about Halloween as a kid we had this neighborhood so I'm trying to tell a story so it's Halloween I'm
Starting point is 00:34:42 like 12 let's say you know the night is uh the day is the day is darkening what am I saying I'm such I'm I'm so shitty at painting a painting a picture but like okay so you go to school let's say it's like a Thursday Halloween falls on a Thursday you know you get home from school you're all excited you got your outfit planned you've been planning for six months because like I would be that I would be that type of girl who would like plan my birthday two years in advance and like um plan my Halloween outfit a year in advance like I had a probably a little journal where I drew a picture of my outfit dude how about remember okay remember telling people you're they're not invited to your birthday party when you get pissed off at them I remember that was
Starting point is 00:35:27 the phase so yeah if someone pissed me off on the playground I'd be like you're not invited to my birthday party and like that was the biggest like fuck you um so yeah anyways so yeah I'd be like the end of the school day go home on Halloween night and put on my little I don't even know what I would wear what was I I was always like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz or something I don't know I can't remember my outfits where I was like a princess no or witch I don't know it's all about the candy I don't really give a fuck about the I didn't really give a fuck about the outfit so much like because in the moment you're just like I'm gonna put this on I don't really care about it and then I'm gonna just get as much candy as possible we had my siblings and
Starting point is 00:36:11 I would go out to this neighborhood um we lived out in the middle of like farmland and stuff and so you know in order to trick if you trick or treat out there you're gonna have to get in your car and do it because it's like you got to drive 30 seconds to each house and it's all spread out So we would go to the, we would go to the neighborhoods like in town where there's, you know, like houses like, you know, they're packed in like sardines on the hill. So we'd go up there and there's a park called, I think it was Hillcrest Park. I don't know. We went into that neighborhood. So if you're from Mount Vernon, if you know where Hillcrest Park is, that's where I would go grocery, or not grocery shopping.
Starting point is 00:36:50 I go fucking Halloween shopping every year. halloween fuck i'm like coming down what's happening um drinking more coffee that's where i go how that's where i go trick-or-treating dude shout out brain cells malfunctioning so yeah go up there get our little orange pumpkins we have these little orange plastic pumpkins my parents would i think they would stick with us i don't know but we'd like go around each house fill up and we'd stay up really late sorting our candy and just sort like we'd watch Ghostbusters or we'd watch the what's that witch movie everyone loves um fuck Hocus Pocus you know we'd have like I think I don't know like apple cider
Starting point is 00:37:37 we had oh just the funnest time I just really loved that time of my life being a little kid a little shithead kid and trick-or-treating so yeah um I don't know story time Sunday fun is it good to reminisce about childhood what did you do on Halloween what what did you dress up like um it got fun around like middle school when I was more I was able to just go on my own with my friends and we'd go to um we go to like the really wealthy neighborhoods where everyone passed out like giant candy bars and that was a good time um and then I would go over to my friend's house and we'd like stay up we'd pull an all-nighter that was my favorite thing like in middle school I pulled an all-nighter like once a week with my friends we would all have
Starting point is 00:38:22 a slumber party at my friend Anna's house or who else would we go to my friend Lauren's house I think we'd do all-nighters there too I don't know yeah Lauren and Anna I think were the houses where we have like the we'd pull all-nighters all the time and I remember the feeling being trashed like the next day and my mom would be so pissed off because she's like I need you to do this chore or whatever and then I was like hungover from staying up so late but yeah we'd like go trick-or-treating and then we'd stay up and we'd be on myspace and we would like text boys and like I don't know it was just such a simple time and like our pink razor phones I didn't I didn't have and I didn't get a phone until my freshman year of high school I got the I was so in love
Starting point is 00:39:05 with the um voyager the verizon voyager you know the lg voyager dude the candy wait what was the phone the envy the lg envy the chocolate bar phone what else was another one the sidekick was the shit even though it didn't have a camera what the fuck was that about um the blackberry Pearl we fucked up real bad guys we fucked up we went this this this technology shit shit took a turn for the fucking worst who misses these days I'm sounding like a boomer but like fuck the thing is it sucks about growing up and I talked to my brother we were on the phone for a long time a few weeks ago but I was talking to him and he goes this time like the this phase of our life is like a wash like every year is kind of the same you're in your 20s it's like there's no
Starting point is 00:40:01 sweetness like being a little kid anymore it's not like this I don't know there's just like more I don't know yeah the last six that's crazy I'm 26 I'm looking back and I'm like it's just kind of been this blur and so now I'm so excited about the podcast and doing this because I'm like this I'm like yo you found you feel like a kid again you feel like you found your passion because I can do this every single day forever and I'll never get sick of it I'll never I'll like I've never felt like I feel like it's like the when you know you know type of thing or like when you you know when you're in love with someone you're like they're it we're gonna get married we're gonna do this thing like that's how I feel about podcasting so hi um but you guys need that
Starting point is 00:40:45 you guys need that kind of passion coming out of me in order for this podcast to be worth your time and, uh, you know, if it's, I want it to make it, I want it, I want you guys, I don't want it to be, um, I don't want to waste your time, and I want, I don't know, I just want it to be, like, I don't know, it's just one giant stream of consciousness, that's all this is, it's, like, my little therapy session with myself, um, and each podcast, I'm learning more, I'm getting better speaking things out. And I don't know. So what else I talked about here? Oh, I was talking about like, I miss college. I'm talking about my note. Um, I love, right. Okay. I just love handwriting shit like this ASMR right now. There's something about that, right? Something about those little
Starting point is 00:41:40 crispy pages and the ballpoint blue ink turns me on, man. I love writing. I love using my, using my thoughts and are like putting my thoughts on paper but I wrote here that I miss going to basketball games and or no yeah football and basketball games like high school and college dude how remember how much in high school I'm thinking about like college wasn't college was kind of like this too but how much of a big deal it was where you stood in the crowd and like where your position on the bleachers like that was such a big deal in high school there was like the cool popular people that would be on the front gate the ones that would like paint their bodies and have the defense sign
Starting point is 00:42:28 and like all the hot girls were there all the hot boys were there and like that those were the cool people and then like the the fucking stoners were on the they're on the back they're on the top of bleachers just like up there um and then you'd have like the band kids the kind of the weirder kids in the middle and then like the on the cusp kind of cool people in the like the front like behind the the front line so yeah there was a hierarchy that hierarchy there with um you know like the popular to the least popular kids but um it's like some sort of ranking system what is my brain doing right now so i remember how much of a big deal it was to like get in position before the game like hold your fucking position get on that rail before the game starts and do not like
Starting point is 00:43:12 like stand your ground bitch and I remember like getting to the football game so early this is more like bass I think basketball was more like this um going to like a boys basketball game because you're trying to be like in the front lines that the you know the boys on the on the court can you know they can see you you know it's all about being seen catching a just copping a feel catching a vibe you know with someone out on the court and uh so yeah how about how about that we're still reminiscing is anyone enjoying this right now I don't know um I do feel like the energy's coming back feeling more excited because I'm talking about I don't know getting butterflies and shit being in high school college was like that too like I remember um I'd always stand in
Starting point is 00:43:55 the same spot but it was it was really hard sometimes if you got there at the wrong time to like, get a good spot, but my friend Binta, we would always sit together at games, and hi, Binta, you're probably not listening, but shout out to you, we had some good times at football games, um, college was, like, yeah, that's honestly what I paid tuition for when I really think about it, I paid tuition for that, that college game day experience, like, honestly, you cannot replicate that anywhere there is nothing that compares to I was at a d1 college football games at a d1 school in the pac-12 mic drop it is it is a perfect it is the ultimate life experience it is or it's the ultimate like coming of age story what am I fucking saying it's like the best it's one of the peaks of
Starting point is 00:44:49 my life when I really think about it like game day out you know drinking in the night of a game you win if you beat like USC so fucking fun we had like all these college bars like we would like start at one and then slowly progress to the trashiest one so it started with like so I went to Washington State University it started with Valhalla it started with Valhalla and that was more of like like the clean cut kind of place it's like you know there's it was just like a a nicer college bar, I guess, and then, uh, my tanning salon was on top, which was kind of strange, but, uh, then you go to the Coog, sometimes you do a pit stop at the Coog, which is this, the old, like, original bar there with the best tater tots of all time, they're, like, deep-framed
Starting point is 00:45:34 twice, there's something about those tots, something about those tots, if you know, if you know, you know, I'd always get a blue, was it a Blue Moon? Is that the beer I would drink? That's a place I would go with my friends not like on a not necessarily a game day but just like a like a on a Tuesday get some tots at the Coug get a beer and there's writing all over the wall there it was really um I don't know it was just super cool inside and they always decorated it for Christmas like super um they just deck it out and they'd have the um Christmas story leg lamp thing so then we go from Valhalla pit stop the coog maybe pit stop of the coog if you were too drunk to even get to the next place there's a hot dog stand outside on the curb you could like
Starting point is 00:46:18 get I never I actually never hit that place up but see I wasn't I didn't care like it was all about the drinking I never like I don't know like and I didn't want to be seen like downing a fucking hot dog in front of people like that's just not not cute I'm sorry so I would just like get my little gin and tonic my double gin and tonic my double fucking vodka crayon and uh get that in me then I go to the next place which was which was Mike's and I think Mike's got shut down I'm pretty sure yeah this fucking pandemic took him out at the knees and they are no longer I'm on the Instagram right now um Stubblefields was the name of it yeah Stubblefields Bar and Grill rest in peace here's a statement from the
Starting point is 00:47:00 DJ Goldfinger yeah it's really sad that was like the place everyone ended up at Mike's and you'd stay out there until like two in the morning and the lights would come on and everyone looks so fucking gross and I was always like trying to get out there before the lights turn on and uh yeah you'd end up there and then you know you'd go home and you know fuck someone and then pass out and sorry mom that's not actually what happened usually I'd hang out with my friends and we We'd already, we'd, like, order a Domino's pizza and then just, like, hang out until, like, 6 a.m. or something. And then do it all again the next weekend.
Starting point is 00:47:41 So, anyways, that was college. What was I talking about? Reminiscing about football games, basketball games, getting in position at your, on the bleachers. I was always the kid that was, like, popular. I was like friends with popular people but I wasn't like I wasn't I was on the outskirts like they liked me but I was never in and out of their houses all the time hanging out 24 7 like some some of my friends would like be they were like siblings because they were constantly with each other constantly hanging out constantly doing shit and I was always jealous of that I'm like
Starting point is 00:48:20 I just want that I just want that like relationship where I'm constantly just with you all the time and it would be like occasions where there'd be parties and stuff and I would go and be around them but anyways my my girlfriends in college went to school with me we um kind of like rekindled things after high school because we went to private school until eighth grade and then in high school we all got split up and then well actually yeah we kind of all went our separate ways my friend Anna and I went to the same high school but um we didn't really like we weren't really close and then um in college we got super close again because all three of us came to college at the same time and that was a really good phase that was a really
Starting point is 00:49:04 good phase and then now we're all kind of like well I think they're still friends but I kind of like broke things off with one of them and it's kind of a long story um I don't know I just like moved on from those relationships but sorry need more coffee what's up um is this like hitting an hour I think I should be self-disciplined and um end it now but let me see if I have any other notes here so what happened today let's recap let's recap let's uh give you some bullet points I talked about being the bachelorette of podcasting I think that that's a it's not a now thing but it's a it's like a 2021 thing for sure and I do want to interview people as it is like I do want to have guests on the show. So I might just do a series where I'm actually interviewing
Starting point is 00:50:00 or I'm having conversations with potential, potential bays. So, um, yeah, anyways, so I talked about that. I talked about, I don't know, just like probably podcasting, like being a podcaster, doing, doing this thing. Um, like I always do talk about my 24 hour update, got scammed getting a kitten coffee fact shout out Jacob's coffee um reminisce about Halloween as a kid reminisce about college football days sweet times man sweet times I'm leaning back I'm getting overheated and my hamstrings hurt they hurt so bad I'm gonna have to foam roll like six times today shout out to Theragun shout out to Hyperice I'm like pissed I used to be around those guns all the time, those massage guns all the time with my, um, previous job, um, and place I lived, so I'm
Starting point is 00:50:55 sad I don't have one of those right now, but I'd love to have, like, I should just invest in one of those right now, because I'm doing a lot of weightlifting, and there's nothing like a Theragun to take out your, take out that, um, that fucking lactic acid and shit, help break up your muscle soreness, um, yeah, so what else did I talk about, so yeah, Sunday, the thing is, okay, so I've been taking it seriously because I've been doing it seven days a week but I haven't been planning episodes where I'm keeping a theme and really going in on topic and so I think that in the future I'm gonna like try to I today I want to do more um I want to have like more I'm gonna do some brainstorming I'm gonna have a little brainstorming session and
Starting point is 00:51:41 listen to jazz music and um like I don't know I did Saturday Q&A is a thing so everyone knows Saturday Q&A is a thing I think when I have my P.O. box I'll do like Friday P.O. box um at the end of every episode once I start doing Patreon and like actually that's not gonna like I don't plan on getting a single Patreon person until like episode 250 like it's it's too early for that. I did make one patreon.com slash TJMS. Um, so I made it cause I'm just like, it's, I'm getting it already. You can subscribe, you can, uh, support the show now, but like, if you do, you'll be the only person. So if one person subscribes to my Patreon, they're going to get a shout out every, so end of every episode, I'm going to shout everyone's name
Starting point is 00:52:27 out. Um, not like you're, I won't, if you don't, your last name, I won't say it, but, uh, yeah. so I'm just trying to like include you guys in my little creative process and because it's new it's only episode 17 and um I'm really just like leaning back I don't want this podcast to end and what sucks is yes yesterday when I finished I posted on my story I'm like this is what sucks like I already want to go to bed and wake up tomorrow morning and do another podcast this happens every day I get depressed I'm like all I want to do is keep podcasting I could do a nine to five where I talk for a whole shift um maybe I should have been a what's like a job where you talk the entire day a teacher maybe I should have been a teacher I should teach you guys some shit
Starting point is 00:53:12 because like I'm gonna go on my little document I made here over the summer when I was trying to like help people on Instagram and teach them stuff instead of just posting selfies but you can go to my descriptions and read like random facts um I'm looking at my sticky notes here this is a big ass shit show now we're just hanging out this always happens in the podcast and like I it could end now but you know what party must go on the show must fucking go on I'm not I'm not quite I haven't squeezed all my thoughts out oh I have a note here okay what if on the bachelorette podcast series I do those questions those 36 questions you ask someone to fall in love and keep that because here's the thing like if I had a structure like that like that's not very
Starting point is 00:53:55 natural that's not very like it's very like rehearsed and scripted and choreographed but I think what that would do is give everyone a fair shot with me and like if everyone was asked the same if that if every date every zoom date was the same like the same questions we asked each other and stuff, then that would, I think, be the most fair way to win my heart over, win me over, fall in love with me. I don't know how it works. It's been so long, dude. I haven't been in love in a fucking, dude, since, like, fucking not one in, what's the term? That's not okay to say. Anyways, but it's, I'm not, I'm not looking for love currently, but anyways, so yeah, I could ask those questions on the little series I do next year. People are volunteering in the DMs
Starting point is 00:54:45 already. So yeah, slide in, let me know. I don't even think they're podcast listeners. They're just like simps. Is that the word? I hate the word simp, you know? Wait, no, I don't want to read that. Okay. So, oh, I was going to read the description here of something that's, I can be a teacher right now and it can be helpful try to like help you guys um so psychology facts let's not do that dating relationship facts could do that household tips freeze your pillowcases before hopping in bed on a hot night I don't know that's kind of dumb like if you're too hot at night just put your pillowcase in the freezer did you just learn something was that worth your time I don't know what's another fact here um
Starting point is 00:55:37 drill a hole in the bottom of your garbage can to help keep bags bags from sticking nah I'm not gonna do that I don't have it who has like I don't have an issue pulling my garbage bag out. Adulting advice. I have a whole section of adulting advice. Maybe that's what I should talk about right now. Remember people's names and greet them with enthusiasm. Yeah. Don't be the type of person that's like, I'm bad with names. Make it a point to be good with names that's a thing I've paid attention to um or a little uh a little skill or whatever I try to work on or what am I saying like something I pay attention to is when people say stuff like oh they never taught us this in school or I'm bad with names or like common things people use as
Starting point is 00:56:38 as cop-outs and excuses for shit, so I pay attention to what those things are, and then I try to not be like that, I try to be good with names, I try to learn the stuff they didn't teach us in school, because, I don't know, it's just, I want to be, I don't, I just, I don't want to be, like, out of the, out of the loop, and so that's why I've been learning about the stock market a lot this year, and trying to, like, get into that, and that's why I, when I, when I get, when someone tells me their name I spend like five minutes with them discussing how I'm gonna remember it and I'll never forget their name I'm like obnoxious about it it I don't know but don't like if I'm out drinking and stuff if I'm like going out of course I'm gonna forget well not
Starting point is 00:57:23 well sometimes I do sometimes I don't but I don't like sit there and get dramatic about trying to remember their name I'm just trying to have a good time just like girl with a bow in her hair or something, have a signature scent, and adulting advice, have a signature scent, that's kind of, that's a good one, mine is Chanel Chance, I know that, Chanel Chance Eau de Perfume, you can go to your local Narchin and see what I smell like, um, yeah, Chanel Chance is like, I've been wearing that since I think I was 18, yeah, I don't even know how I found that perfume, it's the best one um have a place here's adulting advice have a place you're a regular at could be a bar a restaurant coffee shop community center bookshop or anything that floats your boat so
Starting point is 00:58:12 yeah have a place you're a regular at I have a coffee shop I go to almost every well not every day this week but they know that they like recognize me because I'm always there here's another adulting advice um know your numbers check your bank accounts every day yeah don't avoid that shit stare it in the face know your numbers um get a personality that doesn't revolve around you being skinny yeah shout out to those people you know what I mean like we need that inspiration you know hot people to like there's always a there's a spectrum of of beauty out there there's a spectrum of what's attractive and what's considered unattractive all that stuff so we need there's a place for everyone in the world but I do think some people ride on their
Starting point is 00:59:05 their looks their whole life and they don't actually have to like they don't really develop a dynamic you know personality they don't really express themselves other than just looking hot so that's like their whole personality um oh I've like a I don't know is this like a hot take I don't know I'm gonna say it and this is probably like controversial for me to say I don't care it's my podcast I'm gonna take a sip of coffee before I say this I have a theory that like when people show their outfit of the day they'll do like a mirror video of their outfit of the day and they're like you know showing their new jeans their new t-shirt or whatever
Starting point is 00:59:46 they're it's funny how they do that because it's like what they're really showing is how hot their body is they're like showing their body and they love like they're they're high on their own supply they're high on how hot they look and they love like showing their body off in their outfit because it's not groundbreaking to wear jeans and a t-shirt and you get all this praise and stuff from people because they're like oh my god you look so good well of course they do because they're fucking their their body's amazing and so I recognize that with myself like when I follow people I'm like wait if she was 600 pounds and she had this jeans and t-shirt on it wouldn't be the same thing you know what I mean like there's something to be said about having a
Starting point is 01:00:24 really nice body and wearing an outfit and of course there's like awesome new cool fashion and stuff but if anyone like people like that could wear anything and make it look good they could where, like, the most, I don't know, so that's just what I, people, people, people follow you for your, like, because you have a hot body, and they're just, like, using you for inspo, so, yeah, that's my theory, I don't know, does anyone else agree with that, or, like, think that's full, I'm full of shit, I don't know, but, um, what was I saying, oh, um, I don't know, this podcast just went the train tracks fell off the train what the tracks fell off the train rails the rails fell off the rails fell off the brain cells the brain cells are falling off the brain
Starting point is 01:01:13 um yeah that's the thing people my advice to people out there is if you want to like and I'm telling myself I'm projecting because I'm telling myself this I'm going to talk about like wearing nice outfits and bodies and stuff like just don't don't go buy a new outfit like work on your body work on your fitness work on your you know like your aesthetics I guess if if that's because a new outfit I don't know like it doesn't necessarily it doesn't seeing my abs makes me feel like a thousand times better than buying a new dress and like I don't know but that's my priorities are topsy-turvy like that man I got I got this um I don't know I have this like mental health issue where I have so my body dysmorphia is insane like I'm I might I think my
Starting point is 01:02:03 like pinky toe belongs on a fucking elephant I think my like hands belong on LeBron James like I always think everything about me is like 10 times bigger than it actually is so anyways um I don't know was that controversial was anyone offended people get real high on their own supply though about how they look and it's just like okay oh hot take again talking about sort of the same thing so you know when people do like that hot selfie video of themselves or where they're like kind of like just like okay let me try to like do the motion so imagine so you're holding your phone in front of your face and you're swaying like an s like back and forth and you're kind of like waving your hair and you're just like you're just like having eye sex with the camera
Starting point is 01:02:51 and then that's what you post like I've realized that I can't I used to do that shit all the time and it's it's now I when I do it I'm like I can't take it seriously I'm like why am I doing this it's like a thing it's like voguing for the camera it's like you know sex I I'm not saying I'll never do it again I'm just saying like if that's like all you fucking put out there it just looks it starts looking really odd it's like I don't know no I don't know I just notice it now I'm like wait just get a personality come on let's work on it let's work on it um okay so oh I talked on my live last night that I want so we've all established that we're addicted to our phones we've all established that there's chronic mental health crisis and depression crisis
Starting point is 01:03:38 especially with you know teenage girls and and well guys too but like young girls not being able to like live up to the beauty standard and like being depressed about it and people are really like everyone's using filters and Photoshop and all this shit and um whatever like it's just the way it is but I talked on my live last night about how I think instead of like the in the future I think it should be more popular to do everything online in one take long format meaning podcasting is like the new, well, it is the new blogging, but podcasting is like, instead of influencers continuing to, you know, build careers around, um, aesthetics and outward appearance and nice photographs of themselves and, um, photographs, I'm old, photos of themselves and, uh, brands
Starting point is 01:04:33 and new shiny shit all the time for people to buy. And it's, like, this constant, like, never-ending, like, striving to constantly, like, look better, do more, buy more, have this new toy, like, have this new haircut or whatever. I'm just, what am I saying? Instead of that route with, like, influencer culture, it goes more towards, like, one-take people doing podcasts, long format. if they have a video on YouTube it's in one take because it's a podcast they're sitting and they're talking they're working out their opinions and they're sharing their ideas and it's it's more about that because I think that's how we could actually change the world because I think all this influencer stuff is a lot of it's a lot of like distraction from it's a lot of distraction
Starting point is 01:05:23 from people and it rearranges people's priorities into like spending time working on external shit that's like buying a new plant and buying a new makeup palette and you know buying a new outfit and taking a photo in it and it's like all this stuff that's like not actually going to change the world I'm doing the weirdest hand motion right now I'm like so inappropriate what I'm doing with my hand um instead of that I think the new wave should be like yo uh that's starting I just think it's starting to look dumb personally I think it's starting to look real dumb especially just knowing how much we're in this crazy phone addiction crisis and mental health crisis and people's self image is so fucked up because of Instagram I think the new wave is like yo
Starting point is 01:06:12 put on a call center headset be a podcaster like Jacqueline did I beat that horse to death or what did I get my opinion out yes did I work a little did I work it a little too much did that did I beat the horse after it was dead yes but important I said that it's my podcast worked it out so in the future I hope that I'm able to say something like that in two sentences where you guys are like oh yeah I get her point instead of six minutes so yeah I'm not trying to like I don't I don't like to talk about other people I don't like to judge other people because I think that And everyone is on a different journey. Everyone's got a different life experience, which keeps them in their ways and keeps them doing things. And people have their careers and people have their passions and their loves. So I just am at the point now where I feel like what I'm good at is I'm, like, good at filtering out the moral of the story because I think there's a lot of people online right now critiquing influencers, a lot of people critiquing social media, a lot of people critiquing, you know, phone addiction and all this stuff.
Starting point is 01:07:23 and so I think the I pull I'm like good at filtering out the bottom line like what's the bottom line here what's the moral of the story and that's kind of where I'm at with um with the culture of Instagram and influencing and like consumerism and products and all this like it's it's never ending right now it's just we're we're I don't know we're at capacity I don't know if we've maxed out but yeah my my little like brain goes okay so like how could we improve this what's the solution here and I think it comes down to like we should not be editing ourselves we should just be um one take no editing just pop out a podcast I don't know does that make sense I don't know it makes makes me feel good about myself to say that because that's what I'm doing but uh
Starting point is 01:08:11 you'll every now and then you'll get a little a little uh pick on the gram for me so I I'm not 100% of this, I don't know how to move forward with it, um, I think my biggest lesson now in episode 17, or my biggest, um, thing I've worked out is that I want people to, my, the thing I lead with is this podcast, I don't want to lead with my content on Instagram, because it's just, like, it doesn't, it's not going to do anything, it doesn't, it's just there, it doesn't have any earth shatter, it's not new, it's been done before, everything about it is just, like, how many more fucking selfies can I take you know what I'm saying so you know me for the podcast tjms jacqueline roe show patreon.com slash tjms youtube.com slash jacqueline roe just go and look
Starting point is 01:08:54 my name up and subscribe I just got to get this serious shit out right now leave a review leave a five-star review on this podcast um yeah that's how that's how I want to be known anyway is why I'm gonna talk about this again every fucking podcast I get on a stupid tangent I'm gonna end this in nine no eight minutes I'm looking at the clock here got eight minutes to do something else let me go on uh the internet right now let me go on the internet dude does anyone say terrific anymore terrific how terrific is this podcast how terrific do you feel right now how terrific is iced coffee I have not heard someone in real life use the are terrific probably ever or like since the 90s I don't know like so I think that's gonna be my
Starting point is 01:09:44 my little word um because I want to be quirky and different I don't want to be like other people and I don't want to be the I don't want to say lit every two seconds and uh anyways I just thought about that like terrific what else did I talk about on my live last night maybe I could bring up more stories about that questions okay I'm back on my Instagram description thing fucking let's do questions to ask yourself do I like who I am right now first question second question what would I truly regret not doing if I died tomorrow that's kind of deep what would you truly regret not doing if I died tomorrow um what am I most likely very wrong about oh yeah okay I said yesterday this podcast
Starting point is 01:10:33 I don't want to influence you I don't want you to tell I don't want to tell you what am I saying I don't want to tell you to buy shit there's enough of that out there I've already talked about that so my whole goal with this podcast is speaking out my opinions and thoughts and ideas about the world and and my own like just daily updates about my life and shit and I want to inspire you to ask yourself questions and like like get curious about your own behavior and your mental health and stuff and just like ask a lot of questions so this is good I'm sharing this we'll end this in seven fucking minutes cracking my back I'm just like so happy to be here it's insane I don't ever want to end six minutes okay so here's some questions to ask yourself um I'm just giving
Starting point is 01:11:16 you questions now because it's on this document I wrote dude I spent two days writing this how like I just I don't okay what things have I had to unlearn what could I give a 40-minute presentation on with no preparation you know I could talk about iced coffee and podcasting so I'd probably do that why did I decide to do what I'm doing right now in my life question seven what is the most impactful no I've said recently that's a good one when's the last time you said no you felt it in your soul telling someone no oh I know mine oh I fucking know mine it was actually uh 2019 yeah 2019 I gave someone a big fuck you and a big no felt like the first day of the rest of my life still remember it dude how about those like gut feelings you know pay attention to them
Starting point is 01:12:12 um anyways it's a story I'm not ready to tell right now what is one thing I would do if it was impossible? What is one thing I would do if it was impossible to fail? What would I do? Okay. What am I addicted to? Definitely iced coffee. Definitely my phone. What milestone am I working on? What milestone am I working toward now in my personal and professional life? Are you guys bored? Is this dumb? Another question. What makes me feel the most alive? What am I great at? what is something i do differently than most people fucking everything i'm me bitch uh i'm my own niche is that what i said earlier i'm my own niche i don't want to niche down you know i i don't like that advice like niche down yeah that's a good that's a good that's a
Starting point is 01:13:03 good strategy that's a bold strategy cotton what's that movie from or what's that from what movie uh it's a bold strategy cotton i think that's dodgeball you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball dodge dodge dive dip wait dodge dive dip dodge and doll wait what dodge dive dip dive and dodge dodge that here at globo gym here at globo gym we're better than you and we know it hi i'm wy goodman here at globo gym that's one of the greatest movies of all time we can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball okay so where was I at I was on my thing here oh what was I saying that for what am I something I do different than most people oh niche down shit I don't know what I was saying but that's good advice oh it's a bold strategy
Starting point is 01:13:57 cotton yeah niching down is a bold strategy but like or it's a good strategy I get it I totally get it but it's not for me I'm my own niche I'm not ready to uh talk about one topic for the rest my fucking life corner myself into that box um dude there's some freedom in that and I know I don't want to make any other podcasters out there jealous okay if you're triggered right now because you're jealous that I can do whatever I want on this podcast and say whatever I want have whatever topic I want to talk about every day like you guys you gotta like uh I don't know if you need to re-strategize or rethink your career but I don't know if I could talk about a mark like I could not do a series of marketing podcasts for like six years like how much I don't know like
Starting point is 01:14:36 people out there that do like podcasts on marketing or podcasts on like fucking I don't know just I'm not I can't niche down I'm too ADHD for that shit someone diagnosed me with ADHD on my um live stream last night which is really fun I was like so wired up so all over the place and I was I like took a deep breath because I was I was talking so fucking fast I was so wound up you guys were there last night like holy shit thank you for staying with me but I took a deep breath and I'm like do I have a neurological disorder is this normal what's wrong with me I'm like I had like this a moment of like oh my gosh but here's the thing I got I felt so happy last night I was just basking in my own happiness and I wanted to share it on a
Starting point is 01:15:30 live and like really like be in the moment and like share it with other people because I finally know what it's like to be fulfilled in your passion in your it's not really my career right now but like my my hobby like I know what it's like now to like wake up every day excited to do what you what you love and uh see I shared that with everyone last night but okay should I read any more of these questions. There's some quotes I could read here. Creativity is intelligence having fun. Albert Einstein. I feel it. Creativity is intelligence having fun. Ooh, Abraham Lincoln. I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends. Socrates. An unexamined life is not worth living. Yeah. All right. Is this podcast taking a dip for
Starting point is 01:16:22 the worst it might be should I end it probably will I probably not um let me get like stack up all my sticky notes in my little notebook here covered everything on this um Sunday story time Sunday covering you I like putting my sticky notes so what happens is I I open my notebook and I write the episode number on the top and I write like bullet points of everything I kind of want to hit and then I usually fill up both pages so then I have to write on sticky notes. Then what I do is when I'm done with the episode, I put the sticky notes on the pages and then I shut it. And so every page has like extra notes on it. And I don't know, just there's something about it. It just makes me feel like I'm really just fucking working it out. I'm really
Starting point is 01:17:09 just like, I love, I'm a scribe. I love writing. I love paper. Dude, how about the Flintstones with that fucking sketch, Etch-a-Sketch shit they did, what they do, they, like, write on stones, dumb, um, I'm actually out of coffee, and I'm, I need to drink water, because, oh, man, if you're still with me, hi, hi, how's it going, how are you feeling, uh, Mamba Neighbor didn't come out today, so I think he's taking Sunday off, She's having a recovery day, which I should probably do. Let's talk about what I'm going to do today. It's Sunday. All my chores are done. So I'm going to make some, probably make some breakfast after this. Probably a little bowl of oats. A little bowl of oats. I'm addicted to
Starting point is 01:18:05 frozen raspberries. I'm just like on a frozen raspberry kick right now. So I'm probably going to put a shit ton of those in it. What else do I put in my oatmeal? I don't know. Cinnamon and shit. Uh, so I'm probably going to eat some breakfast. Uh, well, obviously I'm going to upload this. Okay. To all the podcasters out there. I know I just made you jealous. Cause I could talk about whatever I want. You're like in a stupid niche that you're like sick and tired of talking about dumb shit about. Um, how can you be that passionate? Okay. So I was going to make you jealous. Wait, what was I going to say again? Oh, I'm a lot of people that start out at podcasting, make YouTube videos about how hard it is to like, you have technical difficulties.
Starting point is 01:18:44 it takes up a lot of your time and I just want to tell you right now like literally after this I just like upload it that's it I don't edit it there's no bullshit it's just like I upload it I don't need to hire help okay so anyways so there's a little tip of the day if you if you're a podcaster just press record and then upload it it's not that hard um so yeah I'm kind of confused by by that what was I fucking gonna talk about um shit Sunday I was gonna make oatmeal fucking brain cells what are they I don't know who is she why is she still talking um why am I back on the internet oh stay with me oh oh wait wait a minute last night okay so last night on my live stream I was like a dictator about it so I yell at people as soon
Starting point is 01:19:39 as they get in I scream at everyone to stay on the live like you're not allowed to leave and I and I tell everyone that because I'm like this is an attention span um attention span drill like you're here to work on your focus and your attention because everyone is like add and they just like tap on they get on a live stream for two seconds get bored and then they get out so I'm like I will be personally offended if you leave right now this is for your this is for your own good like stay on this stay on the fucking live stream work on your attention span and then anyways I just remember saying that last night I was really wound up what the fuck was I gonna say and I'm gonna get upset oh I'm gonna upload this eat some oatmeal I don't know recover
Starting point is 01:20:22 foam roll for six hours maybe I'll order a Theragun I don't know I have some Amazon delivery so I'm finally getting my um what did I order oh my new toothpaste I'm getting that today do you guys get bored so I don't care I'm just still talking do you oh I know what I was gonna say so I was gonna ask if you guys get bored at the end when it gets kind of like all over the place I know what I was gonna tell fellow podcasters or just in general I have this thought like I could not imagine like being passionate about like I know I'm passionate about podcasting it's my one thing right now but to do a podcast on like one topic and like have to talk about it every single week because usually they're only doing it once a week so you know let's no one's
Starting point is 01:21:13 doing it seven days a week like me but uh I don't know I couldn't do that oh last night on the live I had an epiphany about, I do it seven days a week. My birthday is seven, seven. I've always, like seven is my lucky number. It's always kind of been like my, my like, I get really turned on when I see the number seven. So I don't know. It could like make sense. Cause I've been like super in my head about like, holy shit, I'm doing it seven days a week. But here's what I had an epiphany about. Let me drink some water. Last night I realized that I have the type of brain where if I get like a single idea I can't unsee it and then I'm just fucked like I had this little tiny train of thought that went like this hey Jacqueline what if you did a daily podcast
Starting point is 01:21:57 like and the number seven appeared like like every day not daily like Monday through Friday like you do it seven days a week that thought appeared and then I'm I was fucked game over now I'm a daily podcaster my OCD will not let me do it any day any less it will not let me do it any less, I need to talk to my therapist about this, but, like, straight up, like, that's how my brain works, I get fixated, I'm, like, I cannot let myself down, I cannot do anything less than this, the bar is set to seven days a week, and I have to follow through, so, hi, so, yeah, that's my little epiphany last night, but, yo, I'm gonna have a thousand podcasts in three years, so, you know just there's something to look forward to episode 17 slight slightly a train wreck am I
Starting point is 01:22:46 getting better at these I don't know am I getting worse probably just like working the good thing about the podcast is it's a good chance for me to like put my mind like sync up my words and my thoughts something like that and like keep you guys I don't know I just want to be like that that friend that best friend in your ear that that girlfriend that you you listen to every day I mean we all need somebody I know I have a little thing I want to tell you guys I don't know who needs to hear this but you are loved it's gonna be okay and you're there's nothing wrong with you so there's your little positive positive message for the day um damn wheels are falling off at this point I just assume everyone tuned out it's getting a little too tired a little
Starting point is 01:23:36 I, I didn't lose my voice, I did not lose my voice, but I lost the energy, so, uh, let's cheers to that, drink another sip of water, patreon.com, oh, I'm spitting, patreon.com slash TJMS, uh, YouTube, subscribe, video podcast, launching October 1st, uh, PO Box is going to pop off soon. It doesn't matter who's in the White House. Your life is probably going to be roughly the same. So yeah, I love you guys. Have a great Sunday. A great, hopefully like a relaxing day.
