patreon.com slash tjms i'm a shrewd businesswoman i gotta plug my shit and get it over with in the
beginning of the episode so i don't forget so there you go um yeah it's the night time
um this is gonna be a what did I do today episode a diary entry of my day so like I might go should
I go backwards to like be fun uh I just got done watching the 13 hours that saved England
a war documentary and I don't know I feel like I'm I'm in a phase right now of wanting to
revisit history and revisit like the world wars and like brush up on it and I don't know why and
I think something that I really enjoyed about watching that documentary was comparing and
contrasting the past versus now and like thinking about what these pilots went through and their
bravery and how gung-ho they were to like jump in their what were they called their RAF
or the ref bombers i don't know and then you're just we're like yep our squadron's gonna get it
get it done we're gonna defeat the germans there's no other options we got to do this and they're
just so you know everything about the documentary seemed nonchalant or like the mindset behind the
war was so nonchalant like it is what it is we got to get this done all the you know british
people were on board everyone had their um what's it called their bunkers whatever their hideouts
their underground um what do they call them they're why am I on this tangent right now I do
want to I don't know why I'm going backwards on my day but anyways like this one guy was this old
eyewitness um British dude was like yeah like we were in the underground which is like where the
subway was or whatever and they were like yeah we were hunkered down and next we know a bomb hit a
pickle factory there's pickles everywhere it was just so light-hearted and cute even though it was
fucking war and they were just like yeah you know or one guy said uh yeah all of a sudden
we come out after we were bombed and i looked up at the gutter and there was a chicken
just a chicken sitting in the gutter and i told the family like hey we're having chicken chicken
tonight like jokingly hey we're having chicken tonight and then he quickly realized that it was
a fat woman's woman's arm that had gotten blown off uh from across the way and he said as a boy
as a young boy he thought war was just a bunch of men shooting guns and sword fighting and shit
he's like i grew up very quickly after i realized that was a woman's arm and not a chicken so
anyways it's wild and then you know comparing that to the times now and how cushy everything
is and how different it was. It was fun. I love just kind of immersing myself into old documentaries
or like war, war docs and just old shit. It's fun. But guys, I kind of want to, uh, instead of going
backwards and being annoying, I'm going to start with the morning and tell you guys what I did
today. Start to finish. Cause it's like, it's late and I don't want to, um, I'm going to be like
confused if I try to work backwards so anyways dude every morning I write this on my planner
here we go uh I write the episode number I'm on so 187 today and then I write uh coffee walk yoga
at 6 a.m because I have a planner I love planners that have the hours on them so you can write like
on what hour or on each hour what you're gonna do so yeah at 6 a.m I write coffee walk yoga
and um same same shit different day I pretty much like roll out of bed I have a really quick
it's like I okay I feel like I feel like a mom like a like officially I officially feel like
I'm a mom in a hurry because I have a puppy that's demanding and has a lot to um get done
in the morning with himself he takes the biggest shits in the morning it's disgusting but um and
piece for five minutes, but it's good. He's like holding it all night. And he, it's not like when
I first got him where he literally shit on my bed five times for the first two nights, like on my
white comforter bed, diarrhea, he was really sick, but it was like five times throughout the night.
So we've come a long ways. He's grown up and he's holding it, but it's like his first, uh, the first
thing he wants to do when he wakes up is that. So I have to kind of rush my morning routine and
get out the door quickly. Cause like I told you guys before, I refuse to go outside without a
coffee in my hand and, or sunscreen on my face. So I'm so like, can I just tell you guys what I do
like specifics? So, uh, Jimmy every morning at five 30 emerges from under the bed and he jumps
up on the side. He'll jump up cause he can't hop on the bed himself. He hops up and just stares at
me to, cause he wants me to pick him up and hoist him over. So I do that at like five 30. And then
he comes and cuddles with me for half an hour until six. And it's so cute. He like, I've told
you guys so many times he nestles his little head on my neck and he's getting bigger. So his weight
is like getting heavier and it's, it's so nice. Um, and it's wild how every night I turn a lamp
off and it's his cue to walk under my bed like I'm just allowing it you know I should put him
in the crate every night but he has this spot under my bed he loves and there's a little pillow
down there it's like a little cave for him and I let him do it but he's so trained at this point
just goes under there every morning at 5 30 jumps up anyways so what I do at six is um well I'm on
my phone I'm checking stocks and shit and then I uh fucking I don't know I'm not like spending
I'm not like getting up at 4 a.m reading press releases and shit I'm just like you know checking
what's going on I'm not like a big investor but I have to look I have to be I have to pay attention
so that's like the first um that's like from 6 to 6 15 ish I'm on my phone and then I go into my
bathroom and I brush my teeth immediately and wash my face and put on sunscreen. And then I put on
my golden, my gold hoops and deodorant. Um, I'll pick out a perfume. I'll spray a perfume on. And
um, that's like, Oh, and I, and I put my hair up in a, in a messy bun or I have to like redo it
from sleeping cause it gets all fucked up from my sleeping. So that's like my morning. That's
like quick I do the same thing every morning and like I said I refuse to go outside without
sunscreen and coffee then I run and grab my coffee out of the fridge boom grab Jimmy get him on the
leash go out the door oh and I'm also like putting on a walking outfit in like 30 seconds and then
putting my shoes on and then yeah it's like a whole thing but that's my morning so then around
I'd say like 6 30 we're out the door and um Jacqueline don't make any so my goal today is
not make any comments about feeling boring, saying the same thing every single day. Just,
I'm going to, I'm not going to, I'm just going to pretend like you're a brand new listener.
You've never heard me explain this before. That's what I got to do. I'm going to just
pretend that I don't. Okay. So there we go. We're out the door. He's great. He's walking.
I'm drinking coffee. I'm listening to a podcast, smelling the fresh air, watching the sun come up.
It's beautiful. Um, guys, I, I've been really enjoying my life lately and I'm really happy.
And I feel like it's part of it's the puppy, but, um, I'm just really appreciating what I have
and how like blessed I am and how much I love my job. I love my, my creative outlet,
my hobby with podcasting. Um, I've been really getting into yoga lately and I feel like it's
helping my brain just kind of calm the fuck down and I'm very I'm way more present now and
I've been doing yoga every day since what was it November when I started and I committed I said I'm
sick and tired of picking and she like I I go in in phases of being into certain types different
types of workouts and and routines and I and I never stick to anything and I've whenever I think
about the times I felt the most fit and healthy and just like happy with my body and everything.
It was when I did, um, six months straight of hot yoga. I like stuck, stuck to yoga and didn't do
anything else. And I, I love it. I'm obsessed with it. So, um, and, and another reason I decided I'm
like, okay, 2020 was so bad on my body. Like, or I just, everything I I'm not saying I was,
I'm not being a victim here. I made all these decisions to be, be lazy, uh, not really exert
my body very hard. And, um, it just kind of like, just, it just kind of went to shit. My body just
kind of went to shit to be honest. And so, um, I like yoga because I feel like I'm tapping into
my like body's potential again and I'm like it's like I'm untapping or what am I doing yeah I'm
untapping that and it's been dormant for so long and so I don't know lately it's been I've been
cranking things up I've been really um I think I'm super flexible at this point and I'm able to do
all these things that I couldn't do last year and so yeah it's amazing and I think that's just
making me, the yoga is helping me be more like Zen and calm and happy. So yeah, I don't know.
Um, but yeah, we walked, drank coffee, listened to a podcast, came inside. Um, and I had a work
day. I was pretty much on my computer all day. I took like a little lunch break slash power nap.
and then um i saw that you know stimulus passed fucking great um i read let me i screenshotted um
someone's what are they called insta stories about the stimulus let me find them here
and they said okay senate passes 1.9 trillion relief bill as democrats push to approve the law
before okay blah blah what did this guy say though about
the government just voted to devalue your savings cash is trash for those who don't
understand what's happening if you're invested in assets rather than holding cash the government
is going to make you rich as they flood the system with trillions of dollars
the government won't let there be a bear market yeah that's kind of for investors like it's so
true that yeah cash is trash you gotta um put that cash to work and make it work for you make
your make your money work for you right is that the slogan I don't know everyone's into like
investing now there's so many influencers talking about it that I'm just like hearing all these
catch these phrases and I'm like yeah cash is trash yeah I agree I don't know it seems obvious
but unless you are constantly hit with these concepts and, and personal finance ideas or
whatever the fuck you'll let go your whole life, putting your money in a savings account and just
thinking like, that's the way to go. It's just not. Um, so yeah, I like saw that, uh, it was
rainy today. So I, um, I just was like, ah, you know, I'm proud of myself. I think the last time
I told you guys it rained was that last week I was like it completely sucks my motivation I just
want to sleep all day and watch Harry Potter I'm really proud of myself because I got so much work
done today and I think it was because I lit a can I lit a candle and I played a bunch of um like
like I just bumped music all day and worked and it helped me a lot so yeah I'm proud of this day
because I got a lot done um and then like what did oh oh one thing I did do like a personal thing I
did uh when I was done with working I went on Amazon and like referred back to my lists I'm
obsessed with Amazon lists guys and I went through all of my lists and I made a so I like took items
off of my I like 15 lists and I took items off of that and put them into a different list to like
of the things that I'm starting to like need or like I would need to buy soon because what I do
is if I get an idea in my head of something around the house I need or a home decor item that I want
or item of clothing or jewelry or sunglasses or whatever I like I like instead of impulse buying
it I put it on a list to go back to later to see if I really need it or want it again so I did that
today and so I don't know I'm kind of excited about things that I forgot about from like the
last six months that I need to get now and I don't know so um something I I guys I know Amazon
is controversial and I know that you know people are all about like support local support small
businesses support and I'm just like dude I don't know if that's a fight I want to I don't know if
that's a, what is it called? A fight I want to fight in or a mission I want to accomplish or
movement I want to participate in. I'm, am I lazy? Am I just like, I'm, I'm sucked into the
convenient lifestyle of, uh, being an Amazon employee, a fucking customer. Shit. I want to
make a comment right now about this episode but I'm not going to um let's get into my post work
amazon browse day and get into my evening 5 p.m hits I do yoga as you guys know I do yoga at 5
p.m every day I'm committed to that this is part of part of this uh so this episode is a continuation
of my getting my shit to get shit together series and so I put myself on a strict schedule every day
that I'm sticking to until I until it becomes a habit because I work remote I in the past was
doing everything free-flowing and intuitive about my day and like how I scheduled my life and it was
it was a shit show I was it was making me insane and so I finally put myself on a very strict hourly
like, you know, I literally put myself on an eight to five and then pretending, like pretending I'm
driving off to the office, getting there at eight. What do I do after work? I go work out. So I do
yoga at five anyways. So that's what's happening. Uh, if you're new, I'm just assuming everyone's
new. You're a first time listener, right? Dude, it's crazy that there are daily listeners, which
I think that's awesome. It's amazing. Thank you. But who literally have never missed an episode at
this point and I'm like I don't know if I feel uncomfortable by that or flattered or what it's
just wild like you're invested like you are officially a best friend in my life like you
know so much about me it's cool it's cool I hope this is helping you or making your day nice I
guess so yeah back to what I said about loving yoga because I feel like I'm untapping my body's
potential every time I get on my mat it's like so fun it's like your body's a puzzle you're trying
to solve if that makes sense with yoga and um like everything else I've done is like weightlifting or
cardio and you're it's more about endurance and strength and like which yoga has too but it's
you're using some sort of like foreign thing like a weight or a you know what else like a treadmill
or you're having to run outside or a jump rope or whatever it is that there's like a piece of
equipment involved. And with yoga, it's literally just your body. And so I'm loving the challenge
of seeing what my body is capable of and like how, um, strong and flexible and like resilient
it can be. It's so like, your body is so amazing. Like that's what yoga is making me realize the
human body is so fucking amazing. And I'm just, yeah, I'm into this. Um, I'm, I'm obsessed with
like seeing what it can do right now. And I, I always look forward to it. So yeah, I did that
at five. I do Travis Elliott workouts by the way. Um, I think I did his happy hour flow. Yeah.
YouTube Travis Elliott happy hour. I did that one and yeah, anyways, it's, it's the best.
And then I walked Jimmy after yoga at like six. I, um, he usually naps while I'm doing yoga. So I
go like wake him up and then he wants to go outside before he eats dinner. And I walk him
around. I usually finish my 10,000 steps by then. So I kind of like aim to, and I don't like after
yoga, I'm not like, Oh, I need to go make dinner right away. I'm not like super hungry. So I like
to walk until I feel like it should be dinner time, if that makes sense. So yeah, I like walked
him um did we oh update I'm pretty I'm pretty uh talented now at this point or I'm I feel like
one of my hidden talents is like finding or yeah like finding Jimmy's poops in the night in the
dark because like he'll take a poop in the dark and I have I have to like pick it up right and
it's hard to see but I don't know I'm like I feel like that's a hidden talent of mine at this point
like I'm getting really good at that uh because like the grass and the poop blends in together
and you just have to like sometimes I've turned on my phone flashlight and that's obnoxious and
disgusting but you want to know it's okay I know I know I talk a lot about my puppy and his
bowel movements because he's like he's a puppy he's learning how to be alive and do things
whatever um I had this dream or like daydream thought about how
so my puppy is a shit factory and I am literally going to have to
like he'll never take a shit so for his entire life unless I have a backyard in some land
where there's just like a corner he shits in which you still like I still feel like when you
have dogs you have to go outside in the yard and pick up their poop it's not like you have to get
rid of it like I am going to be removing his feces every shit he takes in his life is gonna I'm
picking I will be picking it up and that doesn't sit well with me that freak that kind of uh you
don't know what you're like you get it you sign up to you so you get a puppy and you don't really
know what you're signing up for and then you think about it like that you're like holy holy shit
literally every single shit he takes I have to remove from this planet and
I don't know has anyone else thought about that with their dogs because I live in a city and I'm
you know you have to be responsible and pick it up it's kind of gross but I don't know I'm I'm
really um good at I like sanitizer and my baggies and it's all it's not gross it you're I'm just
used to it at this point but there you go there's a little thought off the top of the brain there
so yeah then I came inside and I got a rotisserie chicken to hold me over until my mom comes
because this sounds so like I'm in college and I'm poor but my mom's coming this weekend and
she's like already told me we're going to Costco and so I didn't buy groceries this week because
I was like why would I buy groceries when my mom's gonna ball out at Costco with me and like
take care of me. Cause like, that's what moms do. And I love my mom so much for that. Like
parents are the best for that. They're just like, you know what? I got you this time. I'm going to
come visit you. We're going to, we're going to have fun at Costco. And so I appreciate her for
that. She's coming. What is it? Friday. Yeah. And so I like got a rotisserie chicken to hold me
over and I just made like chicken and broccoli and it was super simple, but good. And I watched
that 13 hours that saved the 13 hours that saved england documentary and here i am now so there
that's my day um overall chill chill wednesday nothing like guys compare this episode to
yesterday like i popped off like i i feel like yesterday was fun it was you know entertaining
and today is just more of a check-in say hi go to bed type episode but um this is like a phone call
you know I just got on the phone and updated you on my life and then I'm gonna hang up
and at this point we're dating I'm your girlfriend I'm your best friend we've been
best friends for 10 years like that's the vibe and you know what it's it is what it is
um I don't know am I I don't know I don't want to second guess myself Jacqueline you're not
allowed to make comments on this on the quality of this episode or what you said I'm not allowed
to believe in yourself or nobody will let me think about myself a year ago because I know it's what
March 10th so was it isn't there a thing going around the internet that says this was our last
normal week of life before shit got locked down. And a year ago I was working in a sales job
under the real estate umbrella. And I was obsessed with like, I loved my job. It was
super social. I love what I did. It was, I was new to it. And then of course I got laid off
because of COVID um and then it was also when I moved into my new apartment so I everything kind
of happened at once for me and then I ended up just like doing grocery delivery to get me out
and I was always skittish in the in the grocery stores like at the first the first week I did it
I was like not I was like holding my breath around people does anyone remember like did you do that
were you in the grocery stores like freaked out by just breathing other people's air because I was
so freaked out and then um everything felt dirty I was hyper aware of germs I was hyper aware of
like any package that came to my house I was freaked out to touch or I was constantly washing
my hands and like sanitizing everything and everything felt I was phobic I became very
phobic of germs. And honestly that lasted like March, April, May. Um, and I, I did a lot of like
walking cause obviously I couldn't go to the gym. So I remember just going on a lot of walks
by myself and, um, guys, this was like the depression era for me. Uh, I was just kind
of lost. I didn't feel like I was home. This apartment is finally feeling like a home,
but it was really tough to adjust to it um last March because I live it's my own place and I was
in a new part of town here in San Diego and I didn't really know this area very well and I kind
of moved here on a whim like I didn't like I liked the idea of living close to the action and like
the the fun part of the city and so that's why I moved here and everything shut down and so it was
like, well, what's the point? Why do I live here? And now I'm in this lonely ass place. Um, you
know, I used to live by the beach. It was nice. And now I'm like, I'm more, it's everything was
like, I don't know. It just like, didn't, it felt cold. It felt really cold. And so, yeah,
the first couple months of living here was just so, um, I don't know, like just strange and the
COVID stuff hit, and I was freaked out, and honestly, like, I, um, fucking shout out to all
the podcasts I listened to that got me through it, like, I remember how much I, like, appreciated
what, well, Joe Rogan, obviously, he, he interviews the best, he just interviews the best of the best,
right, but during the beginning of COVID, his podcast was helping me stay sane, because he
would have people come on all these experts and they'd they talk about it and so they his podcast
was like the filter of what I was seeing on the news that was all crazy and scary like I'd listen
to his podcast and then the people he interviewed would start they would make sense of it and so
that was helping me so much and I'd like go on walks every night and you know listen to what
people were saying and um you know my parents I was on the phone with my parents every fucking day
And they were just like, move home. Like they, my mom was literally, they were going to get me
set up with a U-Haul. And like, I was going to pack my shit up and move back to Washington
and ride it out at home. And something inside of me deep down was like,
you know what? I got to do this. I know everything. I'm, I always figure it out.
That's my thing. Or that's one of the, that's something about me. That's super, um,
that's what it's what's it called that's been consistent throughout my life like I always
figure it out whatever it is that I'm going through there's always an like I always come
out on the other side stronger better I get what I want I manifest it whatever the words that you
like to use are and so I felt this gut feeling inside of me about coronavirus and just like
writing it out alone that it was like my time I had to do I had to face it I had to
you know, stick it out. And I, I'm so glad I did because I, dude, I did so much healing and
self, like, what's it called? Reflection. I had so much quiet time with myself and you guys know,
everyone, here's the thing. I get uncomfortable even thinking or talking about 2020. I like
extreme PTSD from it. Like it, honestly, it's so depressing to even think about a year ago,
but I just thought I'd update like where I was because yeah, it's March again. And here I am
doing a podcast every day. And, um, like what's my, I'm trying to tell my story. I'm trying to
tie things in and, um, you know, it's wild. It changed my life. It really did. And
nothing will ever be the same. I will never be the same. Um, you will never be the same.
the world it's just it's crazy so la-di-di-da la-di-di-da um I think that's it she needs to
go to bed so time to end the podcast and hang up this phone call how much chill how much more calm
and chill can I be let's be honest but I get insecure about that you guys know I enjoy ranting
I enjoy popping off and sharing my opinions and it's not like I enjoy it it just feels good and
so a lot of the time on the show it's like one big release and it's high energy and it's it's
dramatic and it's insane and I'm being obnoxious the whole time and then there's like so I I get
in my head about like well if that's I hope people don't think that's how I am all the time like this
is literally me at nighttime just like calm you know so whatever what if I just brought that I
just couldn't no one is like that all the time that's a benefit of doing it seven days a week
is you um you guys get to see all sides of my personality and like how I um like what my vibes
are you that word vibes I'm a normal chick I'm the girl next door I'm fucking humble pie what
am I I don't know America's sweetheart whatever happy Wednesday hope you had a great day I hope
your week's going well hope your family's healthy I hope they're you know having fun are you having
fun it's not what this life is about like again someone asked me I did repeat this is repeating
myself, but someone DM me what my goals for 2021 were. And I was like, I just want to have fun and
enjoy my life. Like, that's it. I don't like, I don't have big goals. I just want to have fun.
That's right. I just want to enjoy my life. Okay. And like I told you in the beginning of this,
I have been so much more present and like happy lately. Cause I'm just focusing on
the minute ahead I'm not like in I'm not seeking I'm not in the I'm not trying to like
envision the future and like what I'm trying to achieve I'm just like very
I don't know I'm taking it one day at a time down with my life and it feels
everything just feels better and it's taken me a while to get to this point and I think honestly
it is the yoga uh not to be annoying about that again but just like dude do yoga it'll change your
