What's up, guys? Happy Sunday. It's episode 191. Welcome back to the show.
Hey, what's up? It's Jacqueline. Welcome back to the show.
hi how's it going how are you doing how are you doing um i've been seeing this
trend lately on social media or tiktok or whatever same shit it's all the same where people are
posting about how 2021 feels eerie they feel like they're being watched they feel strange they feel
like, you know, they've, they've been having weird dreams and everything feels off. And I don't know
if this is just like group think where everyone's just saying, yeah, I feel like that too. Last night
I had a nightmare and I, uh, you know, they're on their phones late at night feeling like they're
being watched and shit, but whatever. I'm, I'm kind of checking in with myself going while I'm
watching this shit. And I'm like, wait a minute. It kind of does feel like that, but I think it's
just because there's a new administration and we're not really adjusted yet and everything kind
of feels a little rocky a little like how's this all gonna work out over four years and whatever
so how you know I'm just saying how are you doing because I care and you're a listener and
your life matters to me and your your mental health matters to me I don't know I just hope
we're all, uh, I don't know. I need to, I need to enter this episode. I just went on a weird
tangent about it's eerie in 2021. Are you feeling weird about this year? I need to enter this
episode, hit that subscribe button. I'm here seven days a week and head over to patrion.com
slash TJMS to support the show, get access to my exclusive. You guys all know what bonus
fucking bonus content you guys all know what patreon is it's only fans for podcasters i mean
shit it's the same it's the same thing it's just you know it's called patreon um it's what we do
here as uh as podcast hosts what am i saying go over to patreon.com slash tjms to get a shout out
every friday to get phone calls from me to watch videos of me training my puppy or hanging out my
apartment that I don't post anywhere else. I post pictures that have never been seen before
and shit. So patreon.com slash TJMS. That was a long plug, but whatever. This episode is all
about what I did this weekend with my mom. She came and visited San Diego to see me and hang out
and just, you know, catch up because I haven't seen her since Christmas time when I went home
to Washington so yeah I'm gonna just go through Friday Saturday and Sunday and say hey this is
what we did got stories to tell I got I don't know lots of um I'm basically going down our
our itinerary I wrote it all out after the fact like oh this is you know we didn't plan anything
but each day we uh got up to you know a handful of things that I think might be interesting for
you to listen to, so, oh, that sounded so, like, like, you, are you interested in listening to
this, I, this might be of interest to you, of course it fucking is, it's my podcast, you listen
every day, and you, you're, you're curious, you want to know, I just have to assume that
you're obsessed with me, and you want to know that, um, I went to, uh, an Italian dinner Friday
night and Costco on Saturday and a road trip on Sunday with my mom. And shit. Um, should
I tell you about my mom before I tell you what we did? Like, should I describe my mom?
Should I give you an idea of who she is? I don't know. I feel like my mom is, if I could
to describe my mom. She's Mother Teresa. She's also Rocky Balboa. And she's also
Rocky, who's like a boss lady. And I know that's like annoying. I don't like boss babe.
I don't like boss lady. But like, who is that role? Who's just like, who's killing it as
a as a businesswoman that's my mom she's just she's just awesome all around she's well-rounded
she's a she's a saint at the end of the day she's the kindest person I I know um you know it's she's
the best so whatever she flew in let's just cut to the chase Jesus I wasn't really prepared I was
like mom if I could describe you uh but I mean Rocky Balboa because she is just I mean I don't
know. She just, she never, she never quits. She's like the hardest working person I know. She's most
resilient. She's battled cancer. She's about, she's had divorce. She's had, um, three kids
through college and single motherhood at certain points. And like, yeah, anyways, so that's my mom
and let's get into Friday. I pick her up from the airport, pick her up from the airport. She sits in
the back seat because Jimmy was in the front seat on his pee pad. Um, and that's how she met him.
Like she rolls up, I pick her up with the arrivals and she's like, hi, oh my God. Jimmy's
head's poking out the passenger window and she's like demoted. She's like forced to sit in the back
and I was like, mom, I'm sorry. You know, he's priority right now. He's my child. He's more
important than you right now. So sorry. But no, it wasn't like that. She, she didn't care. So
they met and she's like oh my god Charlie Charlie you're so cute but it's like mom no no no it's
Jimmy she keeps confusing because we had we used to have a golden retriever named Charlie and so
she was like I think I don't know it was cute anyways we went home and of course first thing
my mom does is unpack the gifts for Jacqueline it was like and I'm not gonna say like she just
does it she I don't ask for anything she shows up with boxes of shit and little things she
you know she starts off with here's the the cookie they served me in first class that I won't eat
so you can have it and then the mini the miniature Dasani water bottle they also had on the plane
that I thought you might want to and I was like I immediately threw it out I was like mom don't
you know about Dasani water like have you not watched or do you not know about how there's like
there's, like, a whole section of YouTube dedicated to Dasani water, do you guys know about this,
how it's, like, it, it's, like, it tastes thick, like, the water, Dasani water tastes thick, and
there's, like, something in it that makes you dehydrated, so you keep buying it, you need it,
and you need more of it, and a lot of theme parks, and, um, I don't know, uh, like, or else, like, uh,
sports arenas or I don't know, places like Disneyland and shit, sell it because you're
usually hot and you need water and there aren't any options other than this Dasani. So anyways,
there's like a whole conspiracy thing about it, but whatever. So I immediately saw this little
Dasani water bottle and I got triggered. So I just threw it out. She's like, Oh no, no, no,
I'll drink it. I'll drink it. I'll drink it. You know, conserve, conserve. Don't waste. Don't
waste. I mean, I don't know if that's a, is that a boomer generation thing? Like they don't,
whatever. I don't know. She just didn't want me to throw out the water. And I was like, mom,
you literally have the Rolls Royce of water filters in this apartment. Like I have that
water filter I told you about. Um, you guys listening and my mom, she knows about it too.
It's like, look, drink this. It's better. Just drink it. And she's like, no, no, no. I'll drink
the Dasani. So whatever. It was funny. Uh, but then she, you know, gave me, she gave me a new
bracelet and a little perfume um anyway so yeah it was just like fun she like started giving me
little gifts and little cute things and I was like oh my god and then we ended up walking Jimmy and
then her boyfriend showed up and then we went to dinner to one of our favorite Italian places here
in San Diego called I'm gonna butcher this uh Bona Forchetta Biona Forchetta I used to work
an Italian restaurant. I should know how to say this and pronounce it. Bona for B-U-O-N-A.
Biona. Biona for Jetta. Whatever. Um, we had reservations at seven. We put Jimmy in his crate.
Uh, he always, he always axed, axed, axed. Jesus. He always acts traumatized. Like he's dying when
he goes in that thing so I had to deal with that when I put him in there and whatever I played his
little dog music um playlist I've told you guys about where it like it's the music I've been
playing since since I got him like as a pup when he was a little baby baby tiny puppy a little
eight-week-old puppy I um play this music every night when we slept and he he knows that's like
it's calming it's he's gonna be fine so we left him we went off to dinner and look we don't just
sit we go out to restaurants all the time like our restaurant are we restaurants to restaurant
snobs at this point kind of it's not really I don't know whatever we don't just sit wherever
there's an available spot like we pick our table we pick our table we have our favorite spot in the
restaurant to sit. We will, well, we get, we, we sit where we want us. It's just, that's what we
do. And I don't know why we're that way, but it's all an experience. It's all an experience. And
then when you ball out and buy as much food and drinks as we do, like you want to be in a
comfortable place. When I say, I mean that when I say it, cause I'm about to list off all the food
we ordered okay it's insane for three people you're about to hear the the grand order at this
Italian place so whatever we um we wait up we wait a bit outside maybe like 10 minutes we got there
early of course we did and um we're just like standing around and there's other people waiting
in line and I just felt like why are we doing this like why the fuck are we masked up right now
I was just thinking about Connecticut and Florida and Texas and like they're not wearing masks
they're not even like why are we just felt annoying I was just like why are we doing this
it feels stupid so I just had like that moment of being out in public at a restaurant being like
and then when we go in we're taking them off so what's the point and I was just people watching
and thinking thoughts and then before we sat down Jacqueline just tell we want to know what you
ordered we want to know what you guys ate that's why we're here we want to we want you to talk
about food so anyways we get at our we get we sit down at our table it was kind of in a
in an outdoor garage but it was like the doors were up how does this make any sense in your brain
it was like the we were in a garage so it was like okay the restaurant is a industrial
type of place and there were garage doors wide open so technically we were like outside but
we were inside if that makes sense anyways we sit down and we get this is our starting
this is our starting lineup at the dinner table
calamari lightly fried with marinara sauce artichokes marinated heated and marinated
or whatever. I don't know how they cook them. So calamari, artichokes, beet salad,
burrata caprese, is that a salad? Burrata caprese, burrata salad, tomatoes, balsamic,
a chef's creation salad, whatever that is, and then focaccia bread. So like three salads,
artichokes calamari and focaccia bread I guess that's not that's that's kind of a lot I mean
they're they were big portions um but whatever we ate all of it I don't think we left I think
maybe there's a walnut from a salad left and then like a little uh leaf from like a bed of greens
was left and that was it and my mom and I got the best we both took our first sip of it we're like
what the fuck it was the best Cabernet I've ever had it was um I think it's Avalon Cabernet
let me look it up Avalon Cabernet Sauvignon Sauvignon um it's not even expensive or anything
special it's just it tasted so good I think you got Avalon just whatever type in Avalon Cabernet
and that's what we drank it was so good um and then I think the whole time they thought I thought
i think they thought i thought the waiter was cute and they're asking me questions about that
like oh are you do you like his italian accent like are you do you think you know what do you
think of this guy because he was really good he was really really good and i was like no or whatever
but um i mean he was he was cute but not like you know i wasn't interested i wasn't like oh you know
but um what did we end up talking about i don't know it was just like a good dinner
we hadn't even ordered our mains yet but i guess i'll tell you what we ordered for that
i got i ordered um pasta i got cashew pepe and which is just like pecorino romano and black
pepper and it's just like simple with spaghetti noodles and then um my my mom got gnocchi gnocchi
the special and then my mom's boyfriend got like a meat and vegetable thing like a
not like a chicken parm but like a I don't know it was it was like all sauced up and it looked
good but yeah that's what we got and we ordered tiramisu and split that and that was it that was
dinner that was Friday night we came home walked around the block a few times you know it was dark
and cold out but we like took it took Jimmy on his night walk and yeah that was it it's a great
little start to the weekend and you know i'm grateful for uh italians in conclusion shout
out italy fuck um great food and yeah so saturday let's get to this let's get to the next day
um saturday we i just remember like because i wrote this is like post weekend like now i'm
doing the episode but all I remember is that we talked for a long time in the kitchen Saturday
morning like two hours and I was just leaning up I was just leaning up against my refrigerator with
a coffee the whole time and I probably got a kink kink in my neck you know just from like standing
in the same position because we were like really engaged talking about life talk like catching up
with each other talking about jobs talking talk about family everything and um I don't know I
just like stood there with like in the same position for like two hours and jacked on cracked
out cracked out on coffee and anyways it was good by the way I think I I think I got my mom
uh on the ice coffee train this trip because she goes she kept saying like because she drinks hot
coffee I kept making her Americanos and just like plain coffee and she kept going oh uh can I take
a sip of that or like let me try that let me try that and because you guys know I'm obsessed with
my iced coffee recipe I've told you all about it I've nailed it down to the perfect combination of
my eight o'clock Italian espresso beans with my nut pods toasted marshmallow creamer and it's the
best thing ever and I ice it whatever so I think she's like an iced coffee now after this trip and
anyways like the next day when we were on the road trip which I'll get to um I had to pee so
bad and I wouldn't I wouldn't shut up about it I was like I'm in pain I'm gonna piss my pants like
I need to stop and like pee and I think she took that as like oh I can just chug her coffee because
I had it in the little console on the way up there and it was like half drink and she just
kept drinking it and I think she I think she likes it so yeah um anyway so that morning we talked
and that was our Costco day Saturday was Costco aka my Disneyland bitch my fucking like the same
I get the same feeling about walking into Costco as I did when I go to when I went to Disneyland
as a kid like it just does offer I know that's sad is that because I don't know it just like
makes me excited every time I go. So anyways, we go to Costco. It was crazy there. I mean,
Saturday, everyone's getting groceries and shit. And I feel like we found the only parking spot
left. Got lucky. Um, I'll just say this. I'll say out of everything I got at Costco,
my favorite thing or the most exciting thing was getting a Costco card.
I'm a Costco member bitch I own a Costco card I it's official it's finally happened I never
thought this day would come um thanks mom for setting me up I think she could like she could
like add someone else to her account or whatever like she just I I don't like I didn't I don't
think it Jesus Christ Jonathan people don't care about details about how to sign up for a Costco
card whatever I got a Costco card and that was the highlight of Costco of the Costco trip I'm
saying Costco a lot Costco is a I just I don't know but like let me think of like other shit
I got that was exciting I mean I got a pack of like 50 washcloths white washcloths which was
cool um and new bath towels and um because I use I use those for my face like I dry my face with
washcloths and I cleaned my apartment with them. So I was like, Oh, that's nice. A little refresh.
And then we walked by, uh, a display of hand soap and she goes, Oh, you know, I didn't see any
hand soap in your apartment. Like, how do you wash your hands? What do you use?
I was like, Oh, that kind of made me feel gross and dirty, like a fucking pig. And I was like,
Oh, well I just use my dish soap. Like, I don't care. I just, it's, it's soap, you know, whatever.
and she's like oh no no no no no oh no no no no no no no Jacqueline you need hand soap and so we
got this this giant four pack of um why is everything in this episode Italian Italian
Italian hand soap I don't know it was in like a gift box thing and she's like I'll take two and
you'll take two because you know you're not gonna bust through four of these and so she it was a
win-win she got something out of the Costco trip I think that was the only thing she got for herself
which jesus just wait until you hear all the other shit we got i mean it was like
i'm like a i'm like a single apartment i'm like a single person in my apartment there's no one
else eating there's no it was just like it was as if i was shopping for a family of six
like that's how much shit we got but so yeah like hand soap washcloths i think i got
um oil for my car that was a big deal she like got a big ass thing of oil for my engine um
and then we head to the meat aisles jesus christ this is when it went from like
maybe maybe we were at like 100 bucks at that point this is where it just it went it went up
this turned into like let's buy let's buy 300 and meat for you like it I mean I don't know I don't
think it was that much but like Jesus Christ it was like Jacqueline you need steaks Jacqueline
you need hot Italian sausages just to grill up Jacqueline you need chicken thighs you need
chicken tenders you need do you do you eat fish do you need salmon do you need cod do you need
ground beef it's good to have ground beef and ground turkey literally I got like every variety
of meat at Costco other than the fucking lobster tails because I think that was going to be a
little too too much um but like Jacqueline go pick out like find the best marbling
Jacqueline do you want to make a Sunday roast
and I realized like I don't just make myself
like I eat meat like I eat a very I I don't know like I eat a lot of meat and vegetables
and shit, but I don't really, I always buy the same stuff. So it was nice that she was
like, oh, you know, you can make steaks every Sunday or something. Like we can get some
potatoes for you too. And so like half the cart was like, so at that point it was like
washcloths and meat and hand soap. It was great. Thanks so much, mom. Like I'm not going
have to buy meat for a year it's just insane so um is this white privilege is this is this like
what white people is this rich white person privilege is this fucking I mean look speaking
of my water filter earlier I literally I literally press a button and and like filtered water comes
out with a flashing blue and green light that makes it look fun and exciting like I get it I
push a button for water I go to Costco I don't pay for shit because my mom wants to take care
she wants to help me and she just offers to do this like you know whenever she visits and I'm
not I can't say no to that I can't say no to that but I'm sitting here doing this podcast going
holy shit I got it fucking good I am so blessed like
not everyone is capable of just bawling out at Costco and having a parent visit them and take
them out to dinner and, you know, sit and listen to them and talk it out and fucking be there for
them and support them. And, you know, like I haven't, you know, I'm not, not, not to get sappy
at this Costco portion of the episode after I just talked about fucking meat and washcloths,
I'm like, Jesus Christ. Is this the, I won the lottery. I won the lottery in life. I have it
good. Um, I'm so grateful for this family I have and their support and their love and Jesus. Okay.
So after the meat, let me just get into it. We go meat to, I got a big, a big thing of, um,
bitchin' sauce. If you know what bitchin' sauce is, it's like a good all, all purpose sauce.
got that I got a pesto container which is like my favorite one from Costco I got a pecorino
romano wedge super good um then I got a bunch of produce you know got some asparagus mixed greens
sweet potatoes um bananas apples like I just got avocados tomato just all the produce you know
got that and then then we headed to the toilet paper and paper towel section and we loaded some
fucking family packs or family size super-sized packs of toilet paper on the cart uh dog food
for jimmy got some dog food for jimmy i got i i um i while i was getting the toilet paper i went
over to the beverage section and I picked up a pack of hydration multiplier packs which are
electrolyte drink things you guys probably know what those are liquid IV isn't isn't isn't it
called liquid IV yeah yeah right okay anyways I picked up a pack of those and I kind of saw the
price I pretended like I didn't see the price and I just like threw it in the cart like I was five
again pretending like or just like trying to hide something so my mom doesn't see it she goes oh
what's this how much is this as if the price mattered mom you just threw in fucking four
steaks that were 60 bucks and now it's gonna be an issue that I got some powder for my water like
Jesus so at that point of the here's where I was at I was like at this point I mean it's a it's a
thousand dollar Costco trip. I mean, it wasn't that much, but like, it's, we're at that point
where we're just throwing shit in, like, fuck it. We started saying, fuck it. What else do you need?
Fuck it. So I'm kidding. It wasn't that guys. Jesus. Okay. Privilege.
Anyways. So I got some hydration multiplier packs and I don't know, we got some like marinara.
Jesus we got big ass thing of mustard you guys know I love the yellow mustard we got some protein
bars um oh we got these fuck she I'm so mad well I'm not mad I'm not mad about it she got these
caramels these um salted caramel candy things in a big like you know how Costco has that section at
the very end of like snacks and stuff um she left me with that container and I think the serving
size is two and I definitely ate like 15 of those and I I think I'm I haven't been mentioning to
you guys during this episode that I feel um lightheaded and like I'm getting sick and it's
probably from um I'm actually pre-diabetic from all those fucking candies she left
I literally just threw them out I was like I can't I can't fucking do this
they were so good so we got those and that was just for her she's like oh I'm gonna take these
home and like put them in the cupboard for when guests come over and then we came home and ate a
couple and she's like oh no I gotta leave these with you I'll eat all of them what else did we
get I got some like shampoo and conditioner um I don't know it was all all around I got a I got a
lot of new food I have the I have a butcher shop in my freezer um I'm so yeah grateful blessed all
the things you know whatever I could cry over I could get emotional if you want me to um but
anyways it was a good day we went to Costco went home and I one of the meats I got was chicken
sausage and so we had a chicken sausage for lunch because we were starving after that we
we contemplated getting a polish dog in the in that food court we we had like that post costco
like we just need some fucking food we're starving or like we just need a polish dog let's just do it
like old times because you know as a family we'd go to that food court and uh put down some big ass
pizza slices and polish dogs and you know that's what you did and what were those chicken bakes
and shit those fucking parfaits whatever so I was just kind of like mom no no let's just make
something when we get home like I just can't do it you know so we went home and ate fucking
caramels and hey we just over did it and chicken sauce we ate caramels and chicken sausage when we
came home we chilled for a bit and then we went off to a different type of Costco so this is the
next part of the day Jesus this is a long episode so yeah we went home ate lunch let me just get to
it and we were kind of like well it's only like 3 p.m like we don't want to we got you know what
else are we gonna do to do today so got in the car and went to the Costco of antiques man this
this this Costco of antique store okay we went to an antique store the size of Costco
but it's actually bigger than Costco because it has a fucking basement in it so it's like a
warehouse with a basement full of furniture and antiques and like house house stuff and we spent
the afternoon there which is so fun um she was just shocked like it's the type of place you go
into and you're like like if you like thrift stores if you like antiques if you like going
on little scavenger hunts to find cool stuff for your apartment or your house it's like the it's
like the emeralds it's like the mecca it's like the whatever it's insane so we were looking around
there and I told her I'm looking for a piece of wall art for my um for behind my couch or my
future couch because I can't, I can't fucking find a couch. I have one. Anyways, I want a new,
I want a new, um, I need a, I need a piece of art. I need something big on my wall
in my living room. So that was like what I was on the lookout for. And she was just there for
fun because you know what? It's like, mom, what are you going to fit your, you got to fit it in
your suitcase. If you take it home, right. Or you have to be able to fit it so you can take it home.
you get it Jesus um so we're walking around we're like looking at everything and there it is
there she is Jacqueline finds the ultimate painting wall art uh item what am I saying
for her apartment I found it I was like I I locked eyes on it and I said I need it I want it I'm
getting it. And my mom goes, I need it. I want it. I'm getting it. So she goes, Oh, this will
look great in the dining room. I'll just move this and it'll sit here and I can, or would this
go above the mantle? Jacqueline, where would this look good in our house? She's pretending like I
didn't want it. I didn't see it. I didn't come there to get this, get a picture. It was as if
I didn't care about this painting at all. And she, she's just envisioning where it's going to go in
the house. She's taking pictures of it, looking up the artist who painted it, like fucking going
in. I'm just going, I'm sitting there going, are you fucking kidding me? You think you're going to
pack this in your suitcase, a six foot by five foot painting in your suitcase and take it back
home to Washington. Are you kidding me? Give me a break. Oh, please. So it was kind of funny because
she, she loves like France and Paris and shit. And it's like a Parisian setting that's like,
you know very it's victorian-y and it's beautiful and it's like dark and it's got this cool mood to
it and really good lighting and it has a really it has like a vanish point to it where the painting
makes you look like you're it has depth like this insane depth to it so it looks like you're
like you're like walking into the you're like walking on the streets of paris like it makes
you feel like that so she's all excited I'm all excited and we ended up sitting there kind of
going well shit Jacqueline how am I gonna pack this and bring it home or like I gotta ship it
so she kind of got exhausted the idea of having it and then whatever so that was kind of funny
we ended up not getting it and I think if I can't stop thinking about it over the next like week
then I'll go back and I'll get it if it's still there it's so cool I just have to like
think about it a little bit more that's how I decide if it's worth buying something or if I
really need to buy it it's like if I can't stop thinking about having it if I don't like usually
I'll have I'll have dreams about it or just like I'll have obsessive thoughts about you know a new
piece of furniture or if it's like a new piece of technology like a new I don't know laptop or
iPad or fucking ring light or I don't know like if I can't stop thinking about it I'll get it
that's how I know so whatever um I don't really remember what we ended up buying I didn't get
anything she ended up getting a sculpture like a female it was like a woman in the form of a
sculpture and clay woman like some sort of you guys know what like a statue she got like this
little statue for her bathroom which is cute um and then yeah that was our Saturday and then
came, we came home, got cute. And then we went out in the city because we were going to go out
to dinner and find a place, um, downtown guys. Did I wrap that well enough? Did I end up in the
antique store section? Does it feel like it ended or is this all a blur? We did Costco antique store
and then we went out in the city that night and we were walking around and it was just,
it was just feeling it was just it was just feeling bitch it it felt like we were on the
Vegas strip okay it was so crowded all of the restaurants obviously were outdoor dining
only so everyone who would normally be inside was outside so that made it feel more crowded
and then the city was just busy and people were dressed up to go out to dinner it was around like
6 30 7 o'clock you know that time and we ended up striking out everywhere everywhere everywhere we
went was a strikeout everyone had reservations we didn't so you're just kind of over it we were
just like let's just go home and get some fucking tacos and beer like fuck this shit so we ended up
walking home and ordering door dash and they kind of they didn't kind of they forgot like half our
order so we had a reorder from a different place and it was kind of a shit show but it was a fun
Saturday I mean we had like a full day I'm it was fun like while we were walking around we were
people watching she got to see where the city I walk around is and like the vibes and like is it
safe for my daughter to live here and you know but um I'll say this though it was nice to see
people out and about and I think you know comparing that to a year ago when everything was locked down
the streets were deserted no one was out at restaurants like it was good to see like it's
a step forward but i'm sick of these stupid ass structure like they're literally building in san
diego they're they're making like they're building outdoor uh seating areas now like they're there
to stay like they're putting a lot of money and it's like they're they're big they're big
construction projects these outdoor seating spots it's not just like a tent anymore it's like oh
we're gonna have to do this for a while or oh this is gonna be a thing so they're actually like it's
like a permanent build which is kind of annoying because the streets it looks stupid it just looks
like a weird extension of the buildings and it's it looks like a fucking fair and it's just stupid
so whatever um Sunday let's get into it um okay it's kind of a long episode so shit we started
our Sunday with a long walk with Jimmy around the neighborhood and it was great like that was
the longest walk he's ever been on so I was glad that we did that so now I know that he's good on
a leash like farther than farther than my neighborhood like he can go far anyways boring
I mean like duh Jacqueline who gives a shit so she's like you have a dog you walk it everyone
does that okay so then the whole point of Sunday was to go on a road trip to uh Julian California
which is a Julian is a mining town it's a gold rush town like a historic kind of western town
at the base of a mountain. It's like at the mountains. I don't even know what mountain,
what mountains in, uh, east of San Diego. So we went out there and the whole point of going there
is for the pie. There's like a pie company they're famous for that everyone, everyone likes here. So
it's called the Julian Pie Co. So our plan was to go to Julian, eat pie, you know, walk around,
see the sights and yeah but this is what happened we we finally get there and
we're in Julian we're we're taking a right down Main Street we're like whoa this is it we're here
wow but it looked like the Vegas Strip it also looked like the Vegas Strip I mean this town had
lines of like 60 people waiting for pie cars everywhere you know bumper to bumper traffic
um just mobs of people like you couldn't there's nowhere to park it was insane it looked like
there was a big event happening or something um it it looked kind of unusual I was like is it
always this busy on a Sunday is this is is this normal like what's happening so uh we didn't know
this until literally that night when my grandma called it she like texted us she's like oh didn't
you guys know it was pie day it was pie day today 3 3 14 March 14th is pie day so you guys were
in Julian the famous pie town on pie day that's why it was busy so the funniest thing my mom said
though when we were in Julian was we're like driving down main street and I'm like mom we're
here like do you want to park and get out and like walk around she's like oh no I'm good this
is good enough for me I'm like what we came all this way you know what you know we drove all this
way don't you want to like see the town and you know kick around she's like no I'm good like I
can go to a she's like I can go on a road trip to a to a site to like get to the destination and
turn right back around I don't have to what am I gonna do and I was like I was kind of with her at
that point, I'm like, yeah, I don't want to be elbow to elbow with people in all this chaos and
this obnoxious tourist situation. Like, so yeah, we just like turned around and went to a different,
um, we went to the, like the off brand. No, it was like a side. So there's Julian, but then there's
like the, there's like a little town or something before it with a, with like a pie company branch
where you can also buy the pie. So we ended up going there and there's like a grocery store we
went to too. And it was less crowded obviously. And we got a piece of, we each got a piece of
pie and sat at a picnic table and just kind of, that was like, that was like our, that was like
our destination. Like we just went there and hung out. And then, um, I don't know if this is
necessary to, necessary to mention, but Jimmy got so sick. Like he was puking his brains out in the
car I felt so bad um because we took him with us and anyways that happened and then let's see what
else we did anyways that happened okay cool Jacqueline your dog puked um the rest of Sunday
was like we drove through I took her through like Rancho Santa Fe we drove in the back way to San
Diego and like we went to um Del Mar and walked on the cliffs and like she saw you know I was like
So we could go down to the beach or we could just walk here.
So we took Jimmy on a walk in Del Mar and then we went home and what else did we do?
Oh, we went to In-N-Out.
We were hungry.
So we went to In-N-Out for dinner, took it home and that was it.
That was my mom weekend.
That was my, yeah, like In-N-Out.
And then I drove her to the airport the next morning and that's it.
So, wow, kind of a lot in three days.
it was really fun it's probably one of our best trips like there were no blow-ups or no explosions
there was just like good vibes happy times um everything was good and yeah I'm excited to
I'm gonna probably go home I don't know like later this spring and see family and I think
I'm gonna find a way to take Jimmy with me on the plane um he has to pee right now by the way he's
I moved his bells, his doorbells. Cause he's, he plays with them. Like he, it's annoying. Like
he's supposed to, he's supposed to ring the bell to go outside, but he just, he'll ring them all
day. And even when he doesn't need to go. And so now what he does is he jumps at the door. I know
he's mad at me. He's like, get out the fucking microphone, bitch.
He doesn't like my phone, by the way. I feel like dogs know that phones are bad
or like they're not, they're not good for me. Like it's a, he has a negative
association or impression or whatever the fuck with, of, of my iPhone. And I, and I feel like
he hates when I, whenever I put the headset on, he just, he gets pissed. Cause it's like an hour
of me talking to myself and I'm not, I'm not interacting with him. I'm not playing with him.
I'm not going to give him attention anyways. All right. I'm going to wrap this episode. Thanks
for hanging out um hope you had a great weekend um and yeah like let me know like what do you feel
like so far in 2021 are you is it eerie are you feeling like you're being watched is you know
what are the what kind of vibes are you getting from it because again I just feel like we're all
kind of in this transition like the there's like a shift happening right now because of the new
new administration and adjusting to it and I feel like that's what we're experiencing it's not
that serious and I mean I'm seeing everything from like Biden's not really at the White House
they like built a different White House somewhere and he's there and I don't know why that would be
the case or there's all this shit happening around Biden and people are already making
conspiracies up and it's just crazy so whatever Jimmy don't buy my ankle bracelet ouch um so yeah
