Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up, guys? Happy Monday. It's episode 199. Welcome back to the show. holy shit do i have a story to tell right now i'm not even going to intro the podcast i just watched a body fly in the air off a motorcycle outside my apartment. And I'm currently watching the situation live. And I thought, you know, what a better time to get on the microphone and do my podcast. For the 199th episode, I am going to be live reporting from sunny San Diego, California, a motorcycle crash. Woo! He's fine. Honestly, I feel like he just sprained his wrist. Like the guy is standing up straight I asked him if he needed an ambulance the lady's calling I don't know like her friends I don't know who do you call when you hit someone on a motorcycle she's having
Starting point is 00:01:10 the shittiest day ever I'm just watching her pace back and forth right now her life it's like she just murdered someone but she didn't like her um her what's it called her reaction to it is so dramatic and like I get it I would be shooken up as fuck I mean you literally shot a body off of a motorcycle and it was her fault dude you're not supposed to take a left at this um intersection I live by and everyone does it and the last time someone did this there was a fatality and it happened to be on the day I got Jimmy actually I told the story back in January the day I got Jimmy someone took the left at this intersection and hit a dog and killed it and a woman was like weeping out in the streets holding her baby Yorkie and it was like
Starting point is 00:01:57 the craziest shit ever so anyways don't turn left at this intersection or they just need to put up dramatic signs at this point but let me break it down this is how I knew it this is how I found out someone got hit on a motorcycle and uh the current like or what like should I tell you what I did this morning. Did I even say it's me? Did I even introduce myself? Hi, it's Jacqueline. Welcome back to the show. Hit that subscribe button. I'm here seven days a week. This is my audio diary. And today I'm deciding to do a diary entry about my eyewitness account. Is that what it's called? An eyewitness account of an accident? I don't know. I never see shit like this, this close to me. And it's like, oh, it's kind of fun. I'm fucked up
Starting point is 00:02:44 for thinking that, but dude, when I was a kid, my favorite thing ever was like driving by an insane crash. There's like ambulances, cars piled up, bodies everywhere. It's just, you know, graphic and crazy. My favorite thing that I did as a kid with my family is like pull over to like a random parking lot off to the side and watch it. Is that fucked up or is that normal? Does anyone else do that like we would because we were just trying to make sure everything was okay at the at the beginning and then it was like okay everything's well sometimes it wasn't okay sometimes there'd be like a body bag and shit going into an ambulance but like we were there to like be on deck with extra hands if anyone needed help you know and then it was also entertaining okay
Starting point is 00:03:29 um did I so I was like wait dude okay it's also what time is it it's like the morning and And I have so much coffee in my veins. And I also drank an energy drink that my mom, well, it's like a powder my mom left for me called, it's Advocare Spark. If you know anything about Advocare, it's like this supplement brand. And she left me Spark and I had that. And then now I'm having iced coffee. Dude, I'm cracked out. This is so, I love this day. um here's what happened let me bring you back to the crash and like what was happening so oh is his wrist and like you know in the Harry Potter movie when he has like his wrist all bendy and shit like it looks dislocated honestly he's walking towards me fuck don't see me oh yeah make sure you take pictures of her car yep he's doing the right thing literally I'm gonna be on this on this video he's taking through the window with my fucking headset on live reporting this dude I need to close my blinds wait a minute I gotta duck down this is bad I shouldn't be
Starting point is 00:04:36 laughing the guy's got like a fucked up arm anyways I was saying like the Harry Potter um Quidditch scene where his like arm someone does a spell on him and his arm becomes jello like this guy's arm looks like it's going like it's a compound fracture but it might just be his glove anyways all right I'm listening to a podcast and I'm like working on my laptop and I'm I'm like sorry I thought I was like stop I stopped thought I stopped recording take a Jacqueline take a breath so I was listening to a podcast and I was like working on my laptop and I hear and I had like the oh she just drove away what the fuck how could she do that oh he's got his helmet he's gonna go back on his bike dude how the fuck did she just drive away sorry I have to live
Starting point is 00:05:29 report this basically I was listening to a podcast and I heard a giant crunch noise outside like it sounded like a garbage compactor thing you know it was going off and it happened to be the crash him getting hit by the motorcycle and um Jimmy perked up and looked really confused and I thought something was happening with like an Amazon delivery outside my gate I was like okay you know normal noise but uh upon second a second look or further looks upon further research um someone was ejected off their motorcycle and uh I just immediately was like I you know you kind of go into shock you're like okay what do I do and I immediately was like I ran out went up to him I'm like do you need an ambulance I like stepped I was like over stepping my boundaries because the
Starting point is 00:06:18 woman was like right next to him like on the phone like I'm assuming they had like that first interaction like you know are you okay like oh my god I'm so sorry blah blah and I just like immediately just went to like like dude do you need an ambulance how can I help you do you need anything like can I get you something like I was gonna bring him out like ice or fucking anything I had in the house to help him out and it's kind of a good test that was a good test for me to see like what I would do in a during like a I don't know when I see a body fling in there I didn't actually see the body well am I inflating the story by saying I saw the body I saw a body fly in the air um I didn't see it I heard it and based on just like how his motorcycle was crashed and
Starting point is 00:07:05 crunched up and like where he was at on the street I feel like he he flew a good 20 feet so we could we we can only dream or let's just dream this up let's make this more dramatic than it really is and honestly he's holding holding his helmet with a with a hand he um like the with the injured arm so he's fine dude did I wait where was I at before I went on to this oh she was driving away I got all pissed off at that I was like how could you I would stay there the entire time until the guy's like fully picked up by his friends family whatever the ambulance you don't just leave this shit unless she's like going to get something poor guy um what was I saying oh I was kind of telling you about my morning yeah I was sitting here working I heard a crunching
Starting point is 00:07:59 noise and then it happened and then um dude I don't I kind of want to like what sucks is I wanted to live report this so I got all excited and I got on my microphone and I feel like it's all over the place I have way too much energy and adrenaline and is it I hope this is entertaining because I'm so uh I'm second guessing this content and like what I'm doing here because is it illegal like can I no it's not legal duh but like I don't know there's not much to say he's on he's on the side of the street with his motorcycle oh no no no no oh no no no I got another story to tell about this accident I'm gonna take a sip of water I need it oh my god guys there is nothing hotter to me than a man being a man than a man
Starting point is 00:08:51 being a knight in the knight in shining armor like taking care of business helping like an a person in need like there's nothing hot like a man in uniform first of all like an emt just any sort of like you know military doctor any any uniform a man has on a firefighter hot as shit in this case it wasn't that it was a pedestrian who was on a scooter um i don't think actually was he on the scooter who cares he was like you know whizzing around the city and this hot ass man was like the what is the what is the um what's the word i don't want to say knight in shining armor i want to say like he was the superhero yeah he was kind of like the superhero that came in and saved the day i mean the guy was like directing traffic so no one hit
Starting point is 00:09:42 motorcycle hot as fuck then he like was you know helping the guy like he's like talking to him and shit just like being a man man-to-man talk you know hey bud are you okay like whatever and then he got you guys he went over to the motorcycle and he lifted that shit up and like heaved it off the road and it was heavy as shit like couldn't really wheel forward correctly because it was all fucked up and he like like fucking dead lifted it off the street and pulled over to the curb and that was like dude I was literally like I was about to go ask him for his number I was like who are you I need to know you that was hot like that is what I like to see a man do and so yeah that's the other part of the story um I got to witness a man being a man and in this
Starting point is 00:10:34 day and age with all these fucking people trying to turn men into women. Like that was a, that was so nice to see. Or like, dude, you know what I mean? Speaking of that, should I switch topics? Oh, he's getting picked up. He's getting picked up. Okay. Who's in the car picking him up? the guy had a man bun and he looked very um let's see he had uh like black sweatpants on a long sleeve gray shirt which is the hottest thing a man can wear period like any man that wears a long long sleeve gray shirt is doing the right thing and uh he had like i don't know just like nike's on or some shit it was so hot i'm still thinking about it i took a video honestly i was like sending it to the family okay it looks like his girlfriend is picking him up
Starting point is 00:11:31 he's shaking his wrist like it's still fucking hurts but it's moving it's not dislocated like i thought um she's they're walking to the bike i mean it's almost like he never cried or anything like he doesn't actually look like he's in that much pain now he looks pissed now he's yelling like yeah why'd that bitch drive away hit and run I hope he sues her I hope there's some sort of like what happens in these situations I don't know the the legal side of this to be honest like I should but I don't know let me just google this right now for my own um education and my own like let's let's uh let's load my brain with knowledge right now because I feel like I actually don't know the logistics of what
Starting point is 00:12:21 happens if you hit someone on a motorcycle what to do if you hit someone on this would be me hitting someone googling it like okay what do I do right now I like go immediately to 9-1-1 I'd be like I just hit someone they're okay but like you might want to I don't know hit someone on a motorcycle I don't think this is a good google search that I like I don't want this to be um in my cache or whatever why do I care about like I didn't okay fucking a like someday I'm gonna hit someone on a motorcycle and then this was this is gonna be pulled out of like this is gonna be used against me oh so here you go if anyone in if you hit someone so what
Starting point is 00:13:09 okay do I need to go on a cleanse do I need to quit caffeine for real and I honestly had a dream about that it weirdly lasted I had a dream about quitting caffeine and like winning myself off and like cleansing from it for a while and then like resetting my tolerance because this is obnoxious and first of all you know what it is it's like I'm giddy I love podcasting I love I don't know I'm just having a great day. And so the energy's up and then, I don't know, the caffeine on top of that. It's like, I really don't need it. Like I'm naturally just kind of like this. Okay. What should I do if I accidentally hit a motorcyclist? If anyone is injured, call for an ambulance. Two, call the police and move your car to a nearby spot away from the
Starting point is 00:14:02 traffic flow. So you have to call the police, okay? Or, okay, take photos of the scene, including the motorcycles and any other vehicles that were involved. Do you have to call the police? I feel like you have to. I'm looking at a law firm website right now. who is responsible for motorcyclist injuries an at-fault driver is always responsible no shit okay do you have to let me just kind of ask a stupid question to google do i feel like the police should have showed up no officials no ambulances fire nothing showed up so i'm kind of confused by that i'm like he wasn't injured to the point of like he didn't need an ambulance or aid apparently like he was fine but don't you have to like report this and
Starting point is 00:15:04 have a police show up like how is this just not happening I don't understand that do you have to call the police if you hit a motorcycle dude I cannot hit ever hit a motorcycle Protect yourself by calling the police. This guy didn't do that. Some phantom drivers notice when they cause no-contact accidents, while others may never see the motorcycle crash and keep driving. A no-contact motorcycle accident could change your life as a victim.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Okay, wait, what? I'm just going to say, do you have to call the police if you hit someone. I mean, she hit him. In California, the law mandates that all drivers involved in an accident must stop no matter how minor the accident was. So this might be considered a minor accident.
Starting point is 00:16:11 I feel like it is. Even though his motorcycle's all fucked up. Drivers must stop even in a slight fender bender that doesn't seem to have much, that doesn't seem to have caused much damage. if the accident caused death or injury you must call the police well the guy's fucking injured like i said it's probably a sprained wrist but like what the fuck i feel like that's messed up there's no like she just drove away should i call the police for a smaller minor accident let's see
Starting point is 00:16:45 i guess it's based off of injury and so when a motor vehicle accident results in personal injury it's in both parties best interest to notify the police maybe this guy's got a worn out or something you know what i mean like maybe there's some some underlying shit happening where he doesn't want that anyone to show up oh shit if if the person you hit complains of neck or back injury this could be a red flag for an impending lawsuit calling the police ensures a fair and balanced report of the cause of the accident that attorneys can use keep it uses a reference later keep a copy of the police report
Starting point is 00:17:32 with damages in an accident appear to exceed a thousand dollars it's best to call the police okay i don't know i'm still kind of like put off by the fact that she just drove away and i don't understand why no police showed up but i should move on from this um i literally want to take a sip of coffee so bad but i know i shouldn't what's new what what did you guys do today um or what are you doing today like look let me look at my planner and think of shit I can talk about um I don't know just kind of like chilling here but tomorrow's the 200th episode I'm thinking about um well I still haven't decided what I'm gonna do tomorrow
Starting point is 00:18:26 for the 200th episode but I'm thinking I'm gonna um I might release the first episode that is not actually on uh it's not actually up on any of the platform or the places you can listen it's like the first one I recorded on my phone that I think I put on SoundCloud and like two people listen for my Instagram like I post on my Instagram that I had I just like made a podcast and anyway so I'm thinking of doing that for the 200th episode like posting it um I don't know but then I'm also like well maybe I should release it on Patreon so you have to you know it's like only the only the true fans can hear it if they because they pay for it okay let's see what's happening I think she just put on his hoodie
Starting point is 00:19:21 he's like in a t-shirt now i don't know guys i don't know what else to say it's kind of coming to a close here guys i hope some i hope a police man like a police car shows up never a dull moment in the city um do i have jimmy updates like i didn't so like i said i just on the fly i was like i gotta record right now i have no notes i'm feeling insecure about this this, um, this part of the podcast is I'm like, what do I talk about? Okay. What do I do in the day? I work, I do yoga. I walk my dog. Um, Jimmy updates. Not really. I mean, guys, he's so funny. I don't know if all dogs have a funny personality and I know he's a puppy. So like everything he does is cute and it's funny, but
Starting point is 00:20:10 like he's just kind of he's like a little jackass like all the stuff he does like when we go on walks is so comical and like he acts like a he just he's like a little comedian I can't explain it like especially with the palm tree branches and he's always got to have like a stick of wood in his mouth when we walk and whenever he's just like annoyed by me like he doesn't really want to walk he just rolls over on his back in the streets and like just lays on his back like fuck it I don't want to walk I'm just gonna lay here and then it's just obnoxious but like I don't know he makes me laugh so much and um I'm like the idiot walking my dog who's smiling and just cracking up because I don't know he's a good time should I like check let me see what my um
Starting point is 00:20:57 family's saying about this because I sent him a video my mom just sending my videos my cousin with like her easter basket being all cute so should I pick a topic now and hit it home for the rest of the episode because I mean there's nothing left to report on about this crash situation I mean I'm like coming down from that I'm like okay that was a that was intense I was fucking wound up and I'm like okay well how could I add value to my listeners on a Monday like what do you want to hear I could talk something I don't think I do often enough maybe actually Jacqueline no excuse me I feel like I need to talk more about like what am I deeply insecure about like what are my flaws like just a vulnerable shit like how can I be
Starting point is 00:21:45 super vulnerable right now in a new way that's a annoying word vulnerable like I could get I could get I could look within and talk about myself and like should I struggle with personally and like what I mentally hate about myself no I don't know like what could I what haven't I shared with you that I deal with or I mean like it's Monday I could do motivation motivation Monday manifestation tips Monday oh my god oh my god wait wait this is reminding me okay I got a story. I got a story. This is about something I listened to this morning. And maybe I'll unpack myself and why I'm like this or why I think like this after I tell the story. So here we go. A podcast that I love had a new episode. And
Starting point is 00:22:38 I was like born and raised on this podcast. Like I was, I was brought up into my 20s by this podcast and I've learned a lot I've kind of heard it all at this point like every other fucking podcast like I feel like I just hear all the same shit all the time anyway so I I saw the word self-improvement in the title and so I decided I wanted to test myself I wanted to test my reaction to it and like see how I would do with listening to someone get interviewed about self-improvement kind of stuff so I was like on my yoga mat rolling around and I had it in my ears you know obviously that's how you listen to a podcast okay so about two minutes in I hear this and this is going to expose who it is probably in like the podcast I listen to if you can like
Starting point is 00:23:34 dissect if you heard this conversation before you might and I'm not trying to be a shit talker I'm just saying this this doesn't work for me anymore and I'm trying to figure out why I'm like this but two minutes in I hear the person they interviewed interviewed say because they asked him about like his routines and shit like what do you do on a Monday morning okay he's like he's like well actually my Monday morning starts at 9 p.m on Sunday night and I was I was I heard that and I was out I I think I was two minutes in I was I was done I was rolling my eyes my eyes I am I can't I like they rolled to the back of my head I was so I was just like I can't do this shit anymore I can't hear this like I can literally and you know
Starting point is 00:24:20 what here's the thing he's probably got his valid reasons for he probably owns a company has a ton of employees and all these tasks to do on Monday but like that kind of shit here like I just get it makes my skin crawl I'm like it makes me have I just get I get fucking annoyed I'm like I why am I gonna sit and listen to someone talk about how their Monday starts on Sunday like that is just gonna fuck with me and piss me off which it did and clearly it's I'm I'm heated and so I I couldn't listen to it anymore so the results I got on my test that little that little little reaction test I took was the the results were the results were I'm officially like I can't do it anymore I don't I don't want to I just gotta listen I need to listen to I like to listen to
Starting point is 00:25:06 nonsense and bullshit more and I feel like sometimes like the only self-improvement self-help podcast I really well I don't really listen to them that much anymore um like I grew up on the MFCEO project Andy Frisella I say I grew up like I was born I mean I was I feel like podcasts raised me they raised me I believe the way I think let me tell you guys this story I need to like sort of like jot down or like put a pin in what I just said so I can get back to it dude I get on a tangent I forget where I came from dude what was I saying um self-improve okay I think I want to talk about clubhouse too. Um, yeah, like here's a story about me. I feel like a lot of the reasons why I think the way I think and I've evolved to be somewhat of a contrarian or a person who isn't,
Starting point is 00:26:03 um, I don't know. I just, I feel like I kind of beat, go to my, I beat, okay. I rocked to the be to my own drum set. What's the Lil Wayne song I always talk about? She Will, Lil Wayne. Shout out Lil Wayne. I kind of do my own thing, and I think the way I think, it's kind of my, I have all my own opinions and stuff that are, whatever. This is what I'm trying to say. I've kind of been a lone wolf in my 20s, and not kind of. I have been, and I've, for the most part, had my own apartments I've mostly lived by myself I've had like spurts of different times where I've been in relationships or I've had roommates or whatever but for the most part I do I do my own thing I live alone and like I I believe that I haven't had a lot of outside influence from
Starting point is 00:26:57 people of my age group and like like I don't have a lot of friends who I'm always like chatting with and gossiping with and talking with it's like my brain has been I think impacted more and my thoughts and my ideas about the world and and my opinions on what's going on has been influenced more by the podcast I listen to and these are all like middle-aged men like these are the Andy Fursells of the world the Rogans the Ed Milets the Tom Bilius I don't know how to say his last name, like, those kind of guys, and I could list, like, a hundred, I mean, who else could I talk about, uh, Jay Ferugia, um, Jay Shetty, um, fuck, Vaynerchuk, of course, Gary, Tony Robbins, um, I don't know why they're all men, oh, yeah, well, I could, I could talk about
Starting point is 00:27:49 Marie Forleo, oh, shit, Todd Herman, um, oh, my God, like, who else do I just love, uh, I don't know I could I'm trying to think of like everyone that's formed my brain or like contributed to my brain my mind now is a mid-20s person but yeah I just think that when you go years listening to the same people talk over and over and over and over again in a long-form way your brain starts to become like theirs and you start to think like they think and I think that's a really unique thing to maybe this entire generation of uh or like group of podcast listeners out there in the world right now like like are my lifestyle or like something I like constantly have headphones in my ear I'm constantly listening to podcasts and not only do
Starting point is 00:28:41 I love podcasting I'm a huge consumer of it and like of them and I what did I say I feel like I was raised on them like it's kind of cool the reason like my formative years have been heavily influenced by and my independent years of like being becoming a woman and like getting through my 20s has been heavily influenced by people um talking in my ear on a podcast like all the time I mean I don't know I guess what was the point of me saying I guess yeah I was like oh I feel like I um and and here's I think I was bitching about like self-improvement stuff yeah I always like forget where I came from dude I wrote a little thing here yeah self-improvement okay let me get back to that um it seems like I'm at a place where consuming more of the gratitude manifestation
Starting point is 00:29:36 self-improvement breath work journaling morning routine drink your water drink your green juice um get your sleep blah blah blah like all that kind of stuff it seems like consuming more of that is doing more harm than good for me because it pisses me off and annoys me and I don't know why like here's the thing I I'm now on the I'm on this I feel like that I can close that chapter and here here's the reason I'm saying this and the reason why I'm at this point I recognize in a lot of people older than me, like, so I'd say 40s, 50s, 60s, or whatever, especially like I'll mention clubhouse. Like these are people, you know, older and wiser, wiser than me. What kind of scares me about life or just like
Starting point is 00:30:25 myself maybe is I don't want to be talking and thinking about all this shit, all this stuff I just mentioned that is kind of like I'm I'm maxed out of I don't want to be like constantly like in that world when I'm older like I don't like at some point can't can't you learn this shit and just like live your life and have fun and just like I guess here's where what I'll say though about them is like this is their a lot of them are like coaches and like speakers authors this is like their careers and their their they love talking about it's like this lights them up and it's their it's their um they're interested in it so I'll give them that but to me I I just I just feel like dude is that not to say it's a waste of life but like I'm at this point with myself I'm
Starting point is 00:31:17 like okay what's next like what do I want like I can it's intuitive as fuck to like all this self-improvement stuff because I've listened to so much of and all the wellness stuff all over Instagram and like people's oatmeal bowls and their like specific recipes and like what they they're you know their daily routines on their insta stories all day like it's like intuitive at this point I don't need to think about it or see it anymore and so whatever I'm just saying like what do I want to um like what kind of content really what do I want to learn about next like how do is this wellness era is this self-improvement era ever gonna fucking chill out and die down are we gonna constantly get the new books and the new podcasts and the
Starting point is 00:32:03 new speakers and new coaches and new authors like I'm so annoyed by it and bored bored of it and that's my personal um that's me I get that everyone's on a different journey in life and like some people come across it like some people learn about manifestation when they're 45 and then they need these coaches and they need these people and these they need to read these books so i guess you guys i'm just gonna like get the fuck off of like those profiles i need to like it's tough though it's like hard to avoid especially on clubhouse like every room is about manifestation i'm like i don't want to be here i don't care and is that ignorant is that stupid because like jackal you could learn some things well look i've learned like i
Starting point is 00:32:42 i don't think life is that deep and i know i don't think life is that i don't think we need to psychoanalyze every little thing about life. Like I literally just want to, uh, I just go back to this. Like, I just want to sit around a fucking campfire with people and shoot the shit and have fun and enjoy my life. And I don't want to, I don't find joy and, and, um, personal fulfillment or like my life doesn't feel very full and fulfilling when I'm sitting there discussing, like like morning routines and like gratitude and shit like I don't it I want to talk about like people getting thrown off their fucking motorcycle in front of my face like that's fun to me I could talk about um oh yeah like my pine saw I just bought like I I could I haven't told
Starting point is 00:33:34 you guys that I I know it's toxic and probably gonna kill it's probably not good to ingest or smell it, but I really wanted Pine Sol to clean my apartment with, and I ordered it, and my entire apartment smells like Pine Sol now, and I kind of like it, and I know that's probably messed up, but like, that's the kind of shit I want to talk about, anyways, because I find, like, you'll go to a lot of podcasts, like the one I was listening to this morning, and you tune in, and it's another fucking episode about gratitude, meditation, morning routines, like, what do you eat during the day, How do you stay fit? Are you intermittent fasting? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. What kind of mushroom coffee are you drinking? And I just don't want to, I don't want to
Starting point is 00:34:14 add to that bucket. I don't want to contribute. I think there's too, honestly, I just feel like there's just too much of it. It's where it's oversaturated. Is that the word? It's oversaturated. Talking about pine cells on oversaturated. That's a whole fucking niche. I could get it I could that could be my niche cleaning products fuck it all right I feel like I I uh I go through different phases of like beating a dead horse and I started out in September beating the influencer horse and my you know opinions about influencers and everyone's reading from the same script and everyone's copycatting everyone else like I've done that thing. And I, I maxed that out and I feel like I've maxed out the whole, the like, um, or I beat
Starting point is 00:35:02 the dead horse of, of the self-improvement stuff. And, uh, you know, what else can I talk about? Like, do you want to hear about the Pine Sol? Okay. So when I was a kid, I loved cleaning the bathroom because I loved how good it smelled when I was done because of like the combination of the Pine Sol, the Clorox, the, um, what else? The, what's that? Scrubbing bubbles. Like there's something so satisfying and so, um, like I just felt so good when I was done cleaning the bathroom as a kid. I don't know how to explain it. Cause I just felt like everything was, cause bathrooms get kind of grimy and then it looks so much better when you're done. So anyways, I forgot about Pine Sol and then I randomly thought about it the other day and I ordered it on Amazon. And now
Starting point is 00:35:46 I guess the long story short is I'm, uh, ingesting the smell of pine salt and I love it. And it's just, I don't know. It's like, it smells like, you know what? Okay. Here's what it is. I love the smell of a super clean house. Like the moment after everything's been cleaned and maybe you have some candles lit. It's like the combination of bleachy, you know, chemically ingredients and like the Lysol spray and the Windex. It's like that combination. Oh, and the wood polish and the leather polish. It's like that combined with a few candles being lit. You guys know what I'm talking about. This is like, cause whenever we were kids, we'd clean the house and then light a bunch of candles and then it just feels so fucking good. And so anyways, I feel like,
Starting point is 00:36:35 I don't know. I like the smell of it. And this is like a stupid, why did I say that? I don't know, dude. Um, Oh, was I going to talk about clubhouse? I think I kind of, I'm, I'm over it. I think I'm not, I'm not going to do it anymore. Um, do you want me to talk about my insecurities now that I haven't shared with you ever before? Or like my problems? Like, I don't know, what should I do? I have my notebook here from the beginning that I read from, um, was it yesterday? And I could pull out some juicy talking points from this episode 23 23 you know how much I love bitching about society let's bitch I wrote then I wrote products dash too many I was like yeah how many more shades of eyeshadow do we need like they've all been made nothing makeup is not interesting
Starting point is 00:37:24 anymore like new products aren't interesting anymore everything is the same everything's been done I'm sick of seeing it I'm sick of being told to swipe up like yeah that's a that's a horse I beat to death back in the beginning um so I don't want to get into that but let me see I heart storytelling my story is important it's fun to talk about life I wrote like four hearts around that oh episode 24 was my basketball episode because of Kobe I was like oh 24 Kobe got to talk about playing basketball grown up dude there's so many notes here like basketball camp when I didn't make varsity senior sleepover being on the freshman team oh my god yeah go listen episode 24 it's all about me playing basketball
Starting point is 00:38:12 oh this is like just some journal entry I wrote I don't think I said this on the show on any show but I wrote, I'm proving it to be true to myself every day. The common, the common success advice that if you want to do something, set your mind to it and actually do it that simple. I wanted to be a daily podcaster. Now I'm a daily podcaster. Yeah. You know, back to this, you know, I don't want to go back and talk about the self-improvement shit but I kind of want to like it I think in life like you can make things either you can make things as complicated as you want or as simple as you want and my biggest epiphany and I worked this out on one of the episodes in the beginning my biggest epiphany
Starting point is 00:39:00 with myself is to is that overthinking and like over analyzing situations and thinking about too many details and all this shit was like stalling my life my progress in my life it was like holding me back and so I just made everything simple I'm like I do this I do that I'm a daily podcaster like I said I'm I'm a yogi I'm doing yoga like I have a puppy like I have a job this job like these are the specific things about me and like nothing else is complicated it's just very there's like five bullet points I wrote down and I'm looking at them right now yeah one two three four or five on my on my whiteboard thing and I just stick to those things and I've simplified the fuck out of every process around those five like everything is just straightforward and clear
Starting point is 00:39:52 and um my life honestly changed after that I was like whoa now I can work towards these few things that are really specific and then I'm not paralyzed by all this random information and random all these new ideas that I keep coming across with the fucking podcast and these fucking new books and I like people and just like coaches and speakers and all that shit. It's like, I just said, what works for me? I'm going to do these specific things and I don't care about anything else. And I got tunnel vision and here I'm almost at 200 episodes. I mean, tomorrow is the 200th episode. And I guess back to what I said, I'm like proving, I've proved to myself now that it's true. The, the common success advice that if you want to do something, set your mind to it and actually
Starting point is 00:40:35 do it because I in the past would get excited about doing something and then I'd do it for five days and then I'd do something different the next week and then I never stuck to anything and dude it feels so much better to stick to something and to ignore the noise and to ignore the bullshit and ignore all the people trying to tell you how to live your life and do your fucking routines and drink your water like don't listen to anyone but yourself I'm that that's my biggest I guess there's your motivation Monday listen to yourself follow yourself follow yourself stop following other people I understand you are that you're the you're the average of the five people around you or whatever and you know it's good to have mentors and people you know giving
Starting point is 00:41:14 you life advice and shit that's positive that's good to have but I think you need to get rock solid and uh great at knowing yourself best first and like listening to your own intuition and what your like heart and brain and like your soul is saying to you and tune into that before you go to go to anyone else and if you're still I think after that if you're still lost and you're still like there's a missing piece here that I intuitively don't know or I can't figure out that's when you reach up and that's when you put your hand out and that's when you go listen to podcasts and and talk to other people and like learn from them because I don't think a lot I think a lot of us are just like we're distracted by other people and we're not really in tune with
Starting point is 00:41:59 who we are. And I guess selfishly, like, that's why I wanted to do a podcast. And that's why I'm here is to really get to know myself and to listen to myself and to hear my soul speak. And wow, what a, what a, there's a monologue for you. Jesus Christ. Does that, I don't know. Do you guys, does that resonate? Do you feel that way too? Like, I don't know. What are we doing? Why are we following people? That's so new. I mean, not, well why do we I feel like because of Instagram and stories and social media it's like we're keeping up with other people's lives all day like why are you watching my life story like I understand I post stories here and there but like I don't think we watch we watch our own story
Starting point is 00:42:46 enough is that deep watch your own Instagram like not okay watch your own life watch your own story and I don't know it's not it's like why isn't why is it so stimulating to watch someone else's I don't know it's not really that I don't need to get this is not that it's not that deep it's just entertainment it's fun it's inspiring a lot of it's inspiring and it gets you out of bed like I sometimes I'll be honest I'll wake up and check my phone and shit and I'll watch some stories and I'll be like yeah fuck yeah I'm motivated I want to get going I want to do stuff today and it like gets me um people it's a really at the end of the day I think it's people helping people social media in in many ways is like that but I think it's also paralyzing people so
Starting point is 00:43:31 I don't know um I guess at the end of the day you got to say fuck you to your phone you have to be disciplined about your phone and who you follow and all that shit like it's um like you're giving yourself chemotherapy and you have cancer like I didn't also say it because, and I guess my, no, I don't guess my, it's not necessarily my fuck you to my phone, but my way of counteracting the social media addiction, like brainwashing, all that kind of stuff is, um, podcasting and taking this time with myself every day because it grounds me. It centers me. I'm, you know, I'm like a little, I don't know. I'm like a boxer. I'm just like in my little fucking do my little like back and forth with myself like do do do do do um anyways
Starting point is 00:44:23 should I read more notes dude I you know what where's my new notebook I'm just gonna start a new thing called Jacqueline's gonna write notes before every episode again and have fun like that because I love first of all I love writing in my notebook like versus on my phone and oh my god guys I'm gonna cry I just sorry I just opened this notebook and I wrote it something in July um 2020 fuck should I read this anyways I want to start writing in my notebook again that's what I was saying okay wow oh my god okay 7 27 20 I don't want to cry oh fuck I'm gonna cry and I know this is like stupid but I'm like gonna cry um I wrote I'm
Starting point is 00:45:11 really fucking happy today I wrote a bunch of bullet points then I wrote I love collective good energy enthusiasm and excitement about life people share with each other online that's beautiful like I just kind of shit talked about social media and stuff and then there you go I do I like that people are helping each other online and I said 2020 is a shit show but I seriously live in the best fucking time to be alive um I wrote I'm healthy I have a job I can do anywhere I wake up and I like myself again and I liked myself again so yeah I woke up that day and I was like yep I liked myself again because I struggle with that and then I started learning that okay I wake up and I like myself all right I wrote iced coffee and then one two three four
Starting point is 00:46:05 five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve hearts after it I wrote beach life summer sunshine because this was in July I wrote I'm helping people um I wrote all of my relationships are healthy as fuck right now um I wrote fuck tiktok because I think at that time I was like on it too much oh yeah yeah yeah all right wait I forgot to read the second part I wrote fuck TikTok next bullet point I heart TikTok too much right now I was like fuck TikTok I love you um oh my god music is everything again I love dancing with my airpods in the dark to dubstep yeah that's the thing I got into like my brother and I saw Skrillex fucking like two years ago and I don't know like I came back to the hotel after the end after the
Starting point is 00:47:01 show and everything and I um had my airpods and I was like listening to music and it was just the best thing ever so I like doing that dancing in the dark with my airpods in I wrote I'm proud of my siblings and then I wrote this week is going to be amazing wow guys you don't understand how depressed I was last last summer and then I wrote and this is before I started podcasting so I said on the next page wow writing and this is like all over one page wow writing shit out really helps and then below it I feel better now and then I wrote a bunch of I like scribbled all over it because it felt so good holy shit this is crazy guys this is my 2020 journal oh fuck I wrote what I'm looking for in a life partner oh fuck okay so I wrote my
Starting point is 00:47:48 my laundry list of what I want a man how I want to feel quotes that help me oh my god guys I was trying to help myself and you know what I didn't know what I didn't know I didn't know that Jacqueline just get a fucking microphone off Amazon and start talking and podcasting and it this is it's gonna solve all this shit my basic truths I wrote a bunch of basic truths. Do you guys want to know my what I'm looking for in a life partner list? It's not that long. It's just like basic shit. Like one of them is like, loyalty, communication, kindness, security slash protection humor okay I don't want to get mushy um oh I wrote I literally did a gratitude list on the 29th of January of excuse me July 2020 oh I was so depressed I wrote 30
Starting point is 00:48:49 instead of 20 7 29 30 what the fuck dude I did it twice how the fuck did I write 30 oh my god wait I wrote the date 7 29 30 7 28 30 7 oh my god why did I do that why was my brain thinking 30 not 20 um wow I feel good today yesterday I had my shit together worked focused most of the day okay let me see if there's anything else fun in here I wrote theme song she will Drake plus little wayne august 9th 2020 fucking a what's changed oh my god everything i experience in my day-to-day reality is a direct reflection of my beliefs i am changing my beliefs about myself so my reality matches my vision my truths my soul's deepest excuse me my truths my soul's deeply rooted desires. How did I, did I come up with that myself? Everything I experienced in
Starting point is 00:49:56 my day-to-day reality is a direct reflection of my beliefs about, this is starting to sound like a self-improvement podcast. I apologize, but you know what? I forgot about this journal and I forgot that I wrote in it because I wanted to pull it out to start writing in again to do episode notes, but shit, it's like a diary. oh my god this is crazy sorry I'm having a moment with myself I know I almost cried and well I kind of did decide to be happy yeah it takes a second to notice you're having bad thoughts and shift yeah it's it's like that like I saw I never understood it before about people that are depressed like I never really um something I didn't understand it I was like well easier said
Starting point is 00:50:48 than done like I saw it made no it's crazy how I'm on the other side I saw I saw a video that was like oh I get it now here's what I'm saying in the past I would see posts I'd see videos of people going like hey depressed people hey people that are depressed just don't be sad stop thinking these thoughts like just shut them off like just don't be sad just tell yourself you're happy like it's pretty much that simple and now on the other side I've done all this work and I've I've you know sought out like therapy and I've I've really worked on myself and like that is literally all it is now I just noticed that my thoughts are negative or I'm spiraling about some stupid shit about myself that I hate and I'm like I fuck you Jacqueline you're a piece of shit like
Starting point is 00:51:34 whatever it is. And I go, Oh, okay. I am thinking that. And then I go, no, I just want to have a great day. I'm happy. I'm fine. Those are not, that's not me. Don't believe that. Cause I used to believe my own bullshit and I was my biggest shit talker. And now I just simply just say, Hey, no, I'm happy. Like I stopped the sad thoughts. I'm like, I'm happy. And so that's crazy wow 2020 was just one big spy well the beginning of it I now see how much I would sit and spiral and I couldn't get out of it and I would spiral down and I get depressed and in the time like I didn't know like that like I honestly it's like I thought I had the tools I would think because I've had I've had depressive times before and I guess this was very situational
Starting point is 00:52:32 because of coronavirus and losing my job and just feeling lost but um for whatever reason I had a really hard time with it and it's like I didn't have the right tools at the time to just like pull myself out of it and notice that, dude, you're, you're making your life, you're, you're making your life a living hell by just, by continuing in these thought patterns and whatever. So, um, but I guess in summary, podcasting changed my life. I genuinely believe that out of every, out of anything I've ever tried to do or any help I've ever sought out to like um improve my and for improve myself self-improvement um podcasting has trumped them all and has helped me the most and I believe it's because I've decided that this is an audio diary
Starting point is 00:53:30 I come on here and I get raw. I get real. I get vulnerable. I share my story. I work on myself. I talk it out and I hear it. Like I'm hearing it. You hear the, like the modest, the feedback in your ears and your podcast. I was like, you hear it in your ear. So it's like, that's like helping and just, um, using my vocal cords, like talking it out. It's like putting energy. It's like putting energy behind my thoughts and these words are full of vibrations not to be like you know fruity tootie right now but like I believe that is why I feel so grounded in who I am and I like myself so much now and just go see a therapist Jacqueline just go you know like talk to your friends talk to your family and like I always say that but like look I'm telling you one-on-one
Starting point is 00:54:19 with yourself is there's nothing like it. And, um, I don't know. I think in the past I was trying to get Val. I was like, I don't know. What should I, what else should I talk about? Is this a long episode? I feel like the caffeine's wearing off. Um, let me try to summarize off the top of my head what happened today to end the episode. So on the fly started recording because I saw a motorcycle crash um after that I talked about I guess like you know the podcast I listened to and then I bitched about self-improvement and like that kind of stuff and then I talked about like how I've been I guess my brain has been impacted and influenced by a bunch of podcasters uh to the point where like I think like they think and like they've I don't know like
Starting point is 00:55:15 help me or whatever in my 20s so far become who I am and like think how I think and I've had a lot of outside what did I don't know I went on to that tangent and then I think I talked about what was the last segment what did I just talk about oh I read from my journal and I said I want to start writing in my journal again and yeah like coming I want to come to the dude from 200 so after tomorrow's episode because I'm still thinking I'm going to release the official first episode for my 200th because it's literally all about I I recapped 2020 it was in September and I recapped every month of 2020 and I talked about it it's like 40 minutes long so I'm thinking that's going to be my 200th episode but anyways I'm saying moving forward like
Starting point is 00:56:02 I want to come back after the 200th episode with like all my all the random shit I think about throughout the day that I'm going to write down instead of forgetting because I that's what I did in the past and it was so fun I just like talked about the most crazy ass shit um anyways okay happy Monday this was a roller coaster I feel like it went up and then it went down um but I had a lot of fun I feel good ready to kick ass this week and um yeah so uh please hit that subscribe button i'm here every day i'm here seven days a week and head over to patreon.com slash tjms to support me support the show and get access to my um hidden buried treasure that is behind a vault that you have to pay five dollars for to access and do it if you want
