Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello from sunny San Diego. This is episode 26. It's Jacqueline. Hi, welcome back to the podcast. Hey guys, happy Tuesday. How are you doing? How's it going out there? How's your week going? Awesome. Good to hear. I'm glad. Great. Let's get into this podcast. I cannot believe this podcast is now on the 26th episode. I do not feel accomplished at all in any way. And I was talking to people last night on my live on Instagram. I was like, I think it's going to take me like two years to be like to be confident and comfortable enough calling myself a podcaster because every time I'm referring to myself as a podcaster now it's like it's I just say it but there's no I don't believe it yet does that make sense so anyways um yeah I'm trying to I'm not
Starting point is 00:01:13 trying to be negative start out but I'm like trying to believe in myself but I'm feeling like especially lately I have to up to you guys on my 24 hours I've been feeling like I don't know this like degenerate sloth again like I was earlier this year in the quarantine like back in March like I my days have just been kind of like blah and I I don't know what's going on um so we'll talk about that I've got the coffee fact which it you know I'll just right off the bat here September 29th it's Tuesday it's burrito Tuesday it's episode 26 I'm 26 years old and guess what motherfuckers it's national coffee day okay first sip of the podcast did I just call you guys motherfuckers I'm really sorry I'm I'm I just rolled up it rolls off my tongue and I I it's
Starting point is 00:02:02 just I I'm working on the swearing but sorry um anyway so for national coffee day I figured we don't really need a fact I tell you guys a fact every day but I'll let you know that I uh did a little grocery I had a little grocery grocery delivery I had a grocery delivery this morning and I got new creamer for my coffee and I'm excited about it I'm excited to report that it's good it's from Khalifa Farms it's the pumpkin like creamer their new one for fall so today I made my instant coffee from Amazon the one I always get and then I did the new creamer and I added a little pumpkin syrup too. And man, I'm feeling this coffee day or this national coffee day. I'm feeling this podcast is going to be fun. Basically I'll run down how this podcast is going
Starting point is 00:02:48 to go. It's Tuesday. I had a weird morning. A great, I've had such a fun morning actually. I kind of spent the first couple hours just, I don't know, chilling and looking at content all over the internet. Things to talk about and doing some reading and whatnot. But so I'm going to go over my last 24 hours talk to you about this morning talk to you about the debate I'm gonna talk there's a debate tonight first presidential debate uh over in Ohio and then I'm gonna talk about some of my recent social media usage and like what I've been into um a meme I found that I'm gonna bitch about I'm gonna talk about my like opinion about it I guess I'm gonna go over um I'm like stretching right now so my voice sounds strained that's why um I'm gonna oh my
Starting point is 00:03:39 back hurts uh I'm gonna go over my Amazon lists I thought it'd be interesting for today's gonna be like a like I'll be listing off my groceries today like people asked me asked me on my live last night like what I buy at the grocery store so I'll be like quickly going over my daily or my weekly shop I'm gonna be going over my like especially TikTok like people I've been following and like list off things that I've been following and liking and then I'm going to do my Amazon list because I have a whole list full of like gift ideas and stuff I want to buy for myself as gifts and I think it'd be funny to go over that or like interesting so I don't know that's the type of podcast we're going to have it's going to be very like you're you'll really get into like my
Starting point is 00:04:19 brain and like the shit I like to buy and like what I'm I'm not trying to influence you I'm just trying to like tell you guys I'm trying to tell you every single possible detail about the even if it's like I the type of fucking uh like protein powder I buy you know what I mean like I just want to let you in I want to tell you everything I'm trying to tell my life story every day and we're gonna be besties and I just can't wait to uh do this tomorrow already I already know I'm gonna get depressed when I have to finish recording I hear my neighbor upstairs rustling around their chair and I wonder if they can hear this sorry about the gargling yesterday I gargled, I gargled water and I don't, I gargled, I gargled water yesterday. And, uh,
Starting point is 00:05:04 I don't think that was pleasant to listen to. All right, let's get into it. It's national coffee day. Have my little pumpkin iced coffee. Um, I'm checking out the window for people watching so far, nothing in sight. Um, anyways, let's talk about last night or let's talk about yesterday it was Monday and I'm gonna consider it a throwaway day like a blah day like did not accomplish anything did not work out I didn't do my groceries didn't buy groceries like I thought I was gonna do and like actually go to the store um let's just let me just kind of go over what happened so I slept in yesterday really late like 10 30 late which is so unusual but I was up the night before super late so I'm really I think what's happening is I'm having all these
Starting point is 00:05:56 blah days because I'm like staying up too late and I need to reset my sleep schedule and shit so what's weird is I'm podcasted and then I got super tired and I literally slept for three hours and I don't know why so I'm not like it's weird because I'm feeling amazing I've never felt more in the flow happy content with what I'm doing excited inspired creative all the things and I'm I napped for three hours after sleeping until 10 30 a.m so it was a weird day yesterday I want to be really honest and I don't want to try to pretend my life is so like I'm not trying to fake it for you guys I'm trying to tell you I'm letting you know everything I'm being as I don't know as candid about it as possible um so yeah I basically napped I woke up and I was really groggy of course
Starting point is 00:06:44 and I chilled. I just kept chilling and I didn't do anything. And I, I like got up and walk. I walked for a little bit. When I say I walked for a little bit, I walked for like 10 minutes outside and came back inside. It didn't work out. And anyways, that night I did my grocery. I got delivered. I got, uh, I went on Amazon and got my grocery grocery order put in. I'm really struggling because you know why I'm struggling right now talking is because I'm doing, I'm fidgeting too much I need to sit on my hands I said early on early on in the beginning of podcasting that I should get a seat belt for my chair and then something to restrain my hands because I'm I'm too theatrical or like too animated when I talk and I just fidget and
Starting point is 00:07:30 okay do have people watching right now two dogs on a leash guy with a shirt off hair and a headband it's really long I'm into it you're hot next topic so I ended up grocery ordering why can't I say that in a sentence properly I ordered my groceries last night because I didn't get out into the I didn't go out on the town to buy them I had to do it on my phone because it's at the point now where I have like nothing I eat my food down to nothing every week like I don't stock up on shit so yeah I had to order it so that got delivered this morning I'll tell you what I got I watched your mom's house pot I watched that podcast last night and I did an Instagram live and talked to you guys and you wanted to know all about my workout routine lately and I told you
Starting point is 00:08:16 that and I told you all about my groceries and yeah we just sat and chit-chatted it was fun I've been doing a lot of Instagram lives lately because I know it's fun I'm like I get I have so the thing about napping and sleeping in and everything is I get really energized at night so I like talking to you guys but let me go over my grocery order because you guys asked me last night on my live so I thought you might as well I might as well just like tell you so it wasn't a lot I got a lot of ground beef I get that ground beef uh I decided my protein this this week is going to be ground beef and uh I do have eggs and stuff like breakfast chicken sausage also for protein options I got greek yogurt I got more raspberries of course tons of veggies I got zucchini broccoli brussels
Starting point is 00:09:07 sprouts baby carrots to snack on red peppers red onions jalapenos I'm gonna broil jalapenos I love doing that yeah I got a lot of like veggie options um and then I got a new protein powder I used the vega protein the sport one the chocolate flavor so I'm gonna have that this week with my oatmeal I'll do the my like I used to previously I've been using egg whites in my oatmeal because I like that but now I'm gonna do the protein powder is this interesting is this I don't know oh and then I got a protein bar that's not actually a lot of stuff but I don't know my fridge is looking stocked for the week so I'm excited to meal prep and oh I got a primal kitchen steak sauce for my beef my beef um I was you know debating ground turkey or beef and I'm like I just want some
Starting point is 00:09:52 red meat this week. So yeah, that's what I did last night. I love getting that delivery this morning. In fact, I told you guys, I said, um, I purposely got my delivery at 6 AM this morning and they came at like 6 15, um, to help me wake up earlier. Cause I'm trying to reset my sleep schedule. And, um, anyways, that was great, but here's what happened this morning. So this morning was fun. I was planning on waking up at six 30. I do this pretty much every morning during the week stock market opens over on the East coast, nine 30. Right. So I usually wake up at six 30 and just like check my phone real quick and see what's going on. But, um, I get a text from my brother, God bless his soul at, uh, was it like five 15, like super early. And I went to bed. I did go to
Starting point is 00:10:36 bed at midnight last night. So I, I got five, five hours of sleep. I was like, oh shit, what's this about? And I knew it. Like the thing that's crazy is I knew it was him. Cause I didn't charge my phone, it wasn't on silent mode or whatever, so I heard the little ding, um, text sound, and I knew it, I knew what he was gonna say, and I knew it, and, um, anyways, I, uh, had a fun morning, uh, good day, stock-wise, and I immediately reinvested, because that is, that is the, uh, the good thing to do, that's the smart thing to do, take the money and reinvest, so it was a fun morning for me, um oh I also this morning I scheduled my hair appointment for my roots so I currently have half brown and half blonde hair and I will be getting my roots done um sometime in the next
Starting point is 00:11:26 two weeks I well I didn't schedule it I got a Groupon because I discovered Groupon about a year ago and I'm like wait I literally got a hundred dollars off this hair appointment from using a Groupon I'm like why would you not use Groupon so yeah I got that I picked up that Groupon and I was like peeing this morning and I bought a Groupon I cannot believe it's a fucking miracle I haven't dropped my phone in the toilet yet it's a it's a miracle like at this point I'm like how I'm just I feel like it should be a daily thing almost how for how frequently I'm I'm sitting on the toilet with my phone. I don't understand. Um, yeah, it's never happened. And I'm, I should knock on, knock on wood. Cause I think that's kind of crazy. Have you ever dropped
Starting point is 00:12:14 your phone in the toilet? I'm assuming the percentage there's, there's probably some statistics out there. I don't know how you would measure that or like pull for that or whatever, but I guess it would be pretty easy, but I bet like 80% of people out there have dropped their phone in the toilet before what am I saying why is this relevant so anyways I um scheduled my appointment and I was also like on my phone looking at cute hairstyles like little space buns and pigtails and braids and different things I could do for my video podcast because I'm like I just want to like get good at hair again I used to style my hair all the time and like play with it and like make it really cute now pretty much so far like the last few years I've
Starting point is 00:12:53 done straight hair or curly hair and that's it I don't really wear or I'll do like half up half down but anyways I was like on Instagram looking at pictures for a hairstyle inspo um and then I saw a bunch of other crazy shit on Instagram which I will be referring to later in this podcast after I finish this this uh 24-hour update but um yeah and then I sorted through emails of a lot of emails and I haven't been I just there are a lot it's just a lot of junk stuff in my personal account my main email and so I like finally took action on that is this the most boring podcast of the week like I'm just listing shit this is the list podcast you know what this is the thing I'm I'm just not attached every time I do a podcast I don't make it I'm not I'm not attached
Starting point is 00:13:42 to leaving you guys some sort of helpful message every or something that sounds profound every time I come on the podcast like this is not I'm not trying to change your life or inspire you or motivate this podcast is stream of consciousness life updates you're hanging out with me and I'm like coach this is what I did yesterday um you know props to the educators people out there they're taking their content seriously and like actually helping people with you know with their words but you know what that's just it's not necessarily for me I like telling stories I like having fun I like keeping it light I think the the most profound educational shit I will tell you today is uh as like a parent like parenting all you you adults adults out there
Starting point is 00:14:34 is to make your bed that's like the most I'm gonna say and then I did come across this thing I will say the the other advice this might be helpful because it's it's I'm telling myself this every day is I know goals are like they're annoying and we're so obsessed with goals here in America like we're so I always say America is it the United States or America I don't know I just say America there's many Americas though there's South America and North America anyways that the goal thing is um if you break it down it should be specific measurable achievable relevant and timely so that's what I'm looking at every day to inspire me to keep podcasting I'm like writing down the specifics how I'm going to measure it yes it is achievable yes it is
Starting point is 00:15:24 relevant and yes it is timely so anyways there's your fucking profound podcast content you can I don't know I don't like I said I'm not attached or I don't make it I don't make an intention every podcast to like say something amazing and change her life it's just not for me all right moving on did I finish my 24-hour update I did let's drink some coffee yeah yesterday was weird and I think the fact I got up early which was smart because I um I'll probably get tired and have to go to bed earlier tonight which will be good for me but I'm feeling like it's gonna be a great day I'm feeling a lot of like motivation and energy and I've got a lot to do so anyways okay so I found a meme on uh Instagram that I
Starting point is 00:16:19 I you know I found to be quite a jocular it was uh an eye roller of a meme and I just see shit like this so much and I don't understand when we started putting words together like this okay here's the meme it's not funny it's just like this is what it was things we need to talk about more in entrepreneurship and then bullet points trauma responses the nervous system loneliness self-sabotage boundaries conflict rest and work addiction digital wellness toxic positivity and ethical marketing okay so I wanted to bitch about this because I just cannot stand it when like okay I'll give it to this person who posted it someone had shared this and then I clicked on the meme you know how people share like inspo and whatever but I was like I get it
Starting point is 00:17:17 I'll give it to you you're trying to be helpful you help people with self-esteem self-improvement all that good good stuff but like I feel like this is just volunteering unnecessary information that no one was even thinking about or considering until you listed it out and then it's confusing like what the fuck is toxic positive positivity it just it's like like when did we start putting words together like this how is positivity toxic ever like things we need to talk about more in entrepreneurship is that like when people are overly positive and that's like a negative thing because it makes people feel bad about themselves who aren't as positive is that your point it's like why are we even talking about that and like what's the other one work and rest addiction what
Starting point is 00:18:04 ethical marketing everything is so like annoying I just saw that instant eye roll and I'll you know I understand there's you know it's probably helping a lot of people out there but I don't know I just don't like unnecessary information when people are like putting it in front of our face on social media and I don't know I wasn't like it's like it sounds good it's these these phrases these words like toxic positivity that just like it's like a trigger people go I wonder what that is and then it's like I never even thought about that before now I'm thinking about it and now I'm lacking that and now I'm worried about toxicity and entrepreneurship and now I'm gonna go fucking go on a parade march about it and we're gonna have our merch we're gonna sell
Starting point is 00:18:48 about toxic entrepreneurship positivity movement shit like that's how it goes anyways i just thought i'd bitch about that i did see a second picture on her uh profile here and i and i'm not taking down another woman i'm just i'm just commenting on the content oh yeah okay fuck okay so you thought okay i personally thought that was annoying toxic entrepreneurship that meme but this one goes like this using self-holding to show yourself support bullet points hug wrapping your arms around yourself cup your face gently with your palms rub hair slowly stroking backwards lay your hand wherever you have emotion and hold the sides of your head for warmth and support i'm gonna take a sip of coffee i just hold on i need a moment
Starting point is 00:19:46 of silence for that what the fuck that's all i want to say okay like hold your head to show yourself support like i'm doing this right now my hands are on my cheeks my hands are placed firmly against my cheeks hey my name's chubby mom's chubby my dad's chubby do you remember that chubby song everyone used to push their cheeks together and do i cannot believe we used to like fat shame and do that around the playground in elementary school anyways okay i'll get back to the meme here um it's just because i was putting my hands against my head to show myself support like I'm gonna read the caption self-holding is probably one of my all caps fave ways of showing our self-support
Starting point is 00:20:33 I mean hugging yourself let me try it yeah I guess it does I mean it feels like okay like again it's just like what the like this is not necessary stroking your hair backwards to show yourself support it doesn't okay this is my comment on this and then I'm going to move on to my uh social media usage section here of the podcast um it doesn't teach people like when someone shows you what you should do you're not it's innately you should know that scratching your head feels good and like you like when you're stressed like if you I don't know like I don't even know what they're trying to say here like laying your hand on your head and like for support like you can innately know these things feel good and when someone shoves it in
Starting point is 00:21:31 front of your face it's like I don't know I don't think it's necessary I think it's like I don't know I don't like stuff like this I get annoyed and I get now I'm in my head about explaining that too long and I'm gonna move on um okay so I want to talk about my recent TikTok usage yesterday was a heavy TikTok day yesterday was a throwaway day I'm not proud of it I do feel like I'm, I am retroactiving. I am degenerating. I am, I am, my progress is going backwards. Okay. Whatever. Someone come up with the R word I was looking for there. Regressing. Okay. I feel like the last, there's been some days recently where I feel like I'm back in March, just like sloth life, chilling, quarantine, no motivation, not doing anything. And I don't like it. So I think my
Starting point is 00:22:24 sleep has been contributing to that. And I'm going to make it a point, uh, make a point to work on that. And today is day one, man. Today's the day of the rest of my life. I'm going to fucking watch the debate tonight, eat a fucking burrito and pass out before 10, 10 PM. So that's my, that's my plan. Anyway. So yesterday was a heavy TikTok day. And I thought I'd tell you guys like the type of content I've been consuming lately on TikTok, like the type of people, because I think it's I don't know I have a mixed bag here and I and I want to start out saying this maybe this will sound profound and I mentioned it yesterday it's so crazy to me and my brain freaks out when I think about how everyone has such a drastic drastically different life experience every day
Starting point is 00:23:07 like there's so many of us I like to see cars right now and I'm like where are they going where what are you know what are they doing what's their life story they're like everyone has this rich history and this life with you know family and friends and all this stuff going on and not like we only get to experience our own life and it's crazy like I freak out about that sometimes so what I think I love about TikTok um hi neighbor um okay um is the fact that you can kind of get inside the behind the scenes of other people's lives because a lot of the content is raw and like showing themselves at their jobs and at their house, hanging out and doing stuff. And I don't know, I think it's really cool. So like I've been, I'm just going to list it off in no
Starting point is 00:23:50 particular order here. I've been following a laundromat owner. I've been following lots of pilots, lots of like, like commercial airline pilots. Cause I'm intrigued. I'm like only so many people on this planet ever get to experience flying a commercial jet. And I will probably never do that in my life I can pretty much guarantee that I will never do that so I think it's amazing like when you can see like them in the cockpit like looking out the window like what do they get to see laundromat owner I get to see him cleaning out his uh quarters every day when he posts little videos of that and like how his you know his day-to-day goes at a laundromat and I see uh let's see what else do I follow lunch lady oh my gosh my new favorite person I follow is a
Starting point is 00:24:36 a elementary school lunch lady and it's like my whole life I've been I've been served lunch you know I've been seeing how I've been seeing it from my perspective getting my little tray of food in elementary school but it's so crazy now I'm like seeing the other side like how they do it because it's pretty much like the same type of food out there you know what I mean they're still kind of doing the same fucked up chicken nuggets and uh cold fries and shit so yeah I'm following a lunch lady um I think lately I've been loving I've been loving little little little little yachty little yachty but like in his uh his uh not only do I I'm obsessed with his hair is uh his braids with his beads but I'm obsessed with his TikTok I like his humor I like his his um
Starting point is 00:25:19 I like how he talks and uh so I like him and Doja Cat Doja Cat a total queen of of TikTok I cannot believe I just said queen I've never said queen out loud until now and that's I'm blaming TikTok because everyone on TikTok uses queen I don't like queen and king I don't putting it out there so many people are like stay woke queens or like don't let your woman do this kings on memes and shit I'm just like shut I don't do it I don't do queen and king I think it's weird um yeah anyway so that's kind of like the mixed bag of people I follow I follow a lot of military people like I don't know it's cool to get behind the scenes of people's lives that you'll never live that type of life and that's what I like TikTok for it's it's so interesting that's what
Starting point is 00:26:03 I'm doing for you guys I'm telling you about like what it's like to be a middle 20s girl in San Diego doing a podcast every day and like what my lifestyle is like and I'm trying to let you in the door man I'm trying to like man or woman sorry I need to stop is can you even say man like that in a sentence anymore, it's a, it's like a, it flows when I talk, so I'm sorry if I offended anyone out there, I'm not, I'm sick of doing that, I'm sick of trying to apologize for stuff that's not even offensive, um, women, man, okay, but yeah, I just thought, anyways, moving on, let's just move on, uh, I watched Emma Chamberlain's latest YouTube video with her, um, making coffee from TikTok like the coffee recipes and I'm obsessed I'm obsessed with her I am I am so inspired by
Starting point is 00:26:53 her I love her personality I just love everything about her coffee brand um she has her own coffee company Chamberlain Coffee and she just came out she like rebranded the whole thing relaunched she's got like four different types of coffee now I think so that's awesome so yeah I watched her on YouTube. Um, and then of course, last night I watched your mom's house with Christina and Tom Segura. And that was a good time. Um, part of my social media usage, uh, this morning, why am I calling it that? My social media, like what I saw today, I need to rephrase that. My social media viewing. I don't fucking know. Um, I've been seeing a lot of, so this is about pictures, not like TikTok videos and stuff. I've been seeing a lot of like
Starting point is 00:27:44 pictures of people and girls in baggy jeans that are really baggy, like, like six sizes too big baggy. And then they're on, they're low, they're, they're hanging low and they're wearing a, their midriff is now, it's not like the high waist with the midriff in the middle of your tummy, like up below your boobs. It's like low midriff 2002. And what I'm, what I'm anticipating happening it's like this weird I'm noticing this like competition out there who can push it the hardest and look as to like who can look the most 2002 without completely changing their aesthetic because I'm noticing a trend right now where people are they're tiptoeing and tap dancing around the 2002 clothes like the camis with the
Starting point is 00:28:28 lace on the bottom and like the baby doll tops and the low jeans and like the low midriff and And then the accessories that are kind of like Lisa Frankie and like the little headscarves. And you know how like 2002 looked. Think of like Britney or like Hilary Duff. Who else? I don't know. Lindsay Lohan. Like back in the day, like that's how people are starting to dress.
Starting point is 00:28:51 So what's funny is I'm seeing like people testing the waters with it. And I don't think anyone wants to fully come out as a 2002 chick with their aesthetic yet. so they'll like retreat back to the sweatpants outfits and the high-waisted stuff and then the like and the little crop tops and they'll go back and do the really baggy jeans so I know I'm like seeing I'm seeing a shift in the market out there I'm seeing a shift in the influencer um aesthetics and the the vibes and I'm down for it you know what I'm just I've been very nostalgic on this podcast um on the past episodes and I don't I think of some of my best times the best parts of my upbringing were in the early 2000s. So I'm, I'm here for it. It's kind of
Starting point is 00:29:34 tacky and shitty looking, but I don't know. I'm really getting sick of the, the beige and white and gray sweat outfits. And like, everything is so, I don't know, it's starting to get old. So like, anyways, so anyways, I saw that today. It wasn't really a gripe or, or a bitch session, bitch session about that. Um, that was more of a, just a gentle observation. Um, oh, I have to play this fucking TikTok because of the voice. I'm like, look, we need to stop doing this. It's about, uh, Kendall Jenner's outfits. This girl narrates, or she like does TikToks about like fashion and style. See this whole podcast. I hate this. Cause I'm not, I'm, I'm judging people. I feel really judgy today. And I'm not proud of that. It's more like
Starting point is 00:30:20 I'm annoyed. And I'm like, how do people not see when I see, you know what I mean? And maybe I'm just like full of myself and maybe i'm just like jealous of people i don't know but like i'm sick of style stuff like this like listen i just copyright i don't know i'm gonna play a tiktok in the microphone this is not gonna be the best quality style tips i've learned from candle dinner other pants are a must said this before and i'll say it again clear heels go with everything shrugs will be everywhere this fall lingerie for daytime is a yes boots with biker shorts is actually chic i couldn't believe it either follow for more like i don't know if you heard that very well i hope you i hope you could i don't know it's just like look people taking
Starting point is 00:31:05 like getting style tips from kendall jenner or models out there it's like you are they look good in everything they have great jeans and you know they're 5 11 they're six foot it's like there's a they look like so it's funny when i watch stuff like that i'm like dude if basically just like you can wear anything and it's cute it's not that like it's not groundbreaking to have you know boots on for fall and be inspired by Kendall Jenner's boots it's like just I don't know I'm like sick of fashion stuff like that I'm like I don't know anyways maybe I'm just like I said I'm retroactiving I am just generating I am regressing as a human being I literally am not wearing pants with my XL Tesla t-shirt on with my coffee stain on it that I can't get off and my hair is two
Starting point is 00:31:54 colors and I'm having I'm I'm sitting alone in my apartment podcasting so I don't long for those days though where I would see something like that and I'd be like oh I'm inspired too I want to dress like that because it's unimportant to me it's weird how that happens but it's it's straight up like I don't need to think the thing is I don't want to think about watch content about how to dress myself like I have an amazing wardrobe I've been super into collecting high quality basics and nice clothes for pretty much my whole like since high school and I have I know how to like I know how to dress for my body and I it's just like I don't know a lot of times again it's like unnecessary it's like look she looks great and everything she's Kendall Jenner
Starting point is 00:32:41 a jacket is a jacket and fall boots are boots and fall moving on so anyways um oh and the vocal fry style tips from Kendall Jenner guys I'm so obsessed like I just think that voice is not natural and I think we've all learned it and it's um I don't know I'm uh I'm on one today I'm feeling negative and I do want to be besties with everyone I talked about today I want to be your best friend that wasn't it yes it was judgy yes it was negative but um I come from a place of love you know what I mean I'm just like I don't know I'm just telling you what I think about shit I have I'm having strong opinions because you know what I want to be the type of person out there who has strong opinions and who has the people know where knows where where I stand because I
Starting point is 00:33:28 respect people that are like that and I want to work on that you know selfishly for this podcast um or so I'm doing this podcast um for myself in a lot of ways because I want to be a better speaker I want to get better at you know speaking in a eloquent way with a nice vocabulary and good sentence structure and I want to improve saying like every two seconds which I've been conscious of this episode I have a sticky note with the word like on it with a bunch of x's on it to remind myself um so yeah and then on the other side it's hopefully benefiting you in some way because I don't know I'm I'm a chick in your ear telling you about our life it's maybe you're relating to something I'm talking about maybe you're entertained by something I don't know so
Starting point is 00:34:15 anyways um I'm trying to be authentic you know what I mean this is the only way I can be authentic I decided can't do the Instagram influencing thing the only way I feel exactly as who I am no editing, no filters, telling you how it is, is on a podcast. And I'm addicted. We established that yesterday. Who is doing it seven days a week? I have, oh, that was a throat bubble. I hate when that happens. Coffee, sorry, coffee break. Yeah, I'm just loving it still. I can't stop gushing. Okay, moving on. This might be a short episode. Cause I'm going to go into, um, I got a brother messaging me. Um, I want to go through my Amazon list. So I'm obsessed. I got obsessed guys. I'm so obsessed with Amazon lists. So I
Starting point is 00:35:04 want to tell you what's on it. Hold on. I got a text from my brother and I don't edit this. So you're gonna have to hang in there with me while I check my message. Oh, he laughed at a picture. Um, God bless my brother. I sent him coffee money this morning cause he, he helped me out with my stocks, and I was like, he's like, oh, I felt like I owed him a lot, and so I sent him coffee money, and I said, go, he wanted, he's like, oh, yeah, I wanted to get Starbucks this morning, and thanks for the coffee money, and I don't know, like, dude, you're not poor, so stop being like that, and I was like, it's National Coffee Day, so I gifted that to him, but anyways, so I'll move on, I want to go to my Amazon, Amazon lists, oh my god, no, no, no, no,
Starting point is 00:35:46 I love myself I will not judge myself okay so on my Amazon list here I have a gift list so this year I discovered Amazon lists and I'm like whoa this is amazing because if you don't want to buy something right now and you don't want to do the whole cart save for later thing where you have to it'll pile up with stuff over time I just I make lists now and it's really fun so it's kind of cool here at the bottom of this list I'm already seeing a couple things I bought that are still on the list so that makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something like I'm actually I don't know I'm a I'm very visual I'm a visual learner I'm a visual um I don't know to see like progress I need to see it I can't just I don't know numbers and like
Starting point is 00:36:32 knowing something in my head doesn't work with me but it's cool to see like in front of me now stuff that I wanted and I ended up buying for myself and that's cool I've shit on consumerism so much, but this isn't about that. This is like letting you guys know the type of stuff I buy on Amazon. Cause maybe that's interesting. And it's Tuesday and I'm like, I don't know what's going on. I got the debate tonight to talk about. Uh, literally I'm going to just tell you the time it's on and what the talking points or the things you should listen to and pay attention to. We'll do that at the end. That's not fun. That's really dry. But, um, yeah, I thought it might be interesting to see like my Amazon cart. Um, so anyways, let's see here. I got a TV, got a TV
Starting point is 00:37:09 this year. Uh, that was on here on my list. I got a bathrobe, a spa bathrobe. I really wanted a new bathrobe because my favorite thing ever is like going to a spa and getting, uh, and it's not like I do that all the time, but the times I have, um, you get that heavy bathrobe and there's something about it, that terrycloth, that heavy terrycloth. This also applies to like bath or hotel bathrobes going in the room and putting on the book. It's just a thing. So I finally got a new one. um so yeah i got that uh i got a tv stand except on my list here but i didn't buy it because i don't want to mount my tv um let's see what else is on here oh the boys boys the bows noise canceling um headphones those new ones that are they have like a lexa voice control in them they're
Starting point is 00:37:58 augmented sound is the technology whatever the fuck that means but i remember going into a best by I don't know back in January and I tried to pair on I was like whoa this sounds sounds amazing I do see some people working out with them at the gym and I'm like they're cool so let me know if you have those those boy boys you know I'm saying boys is because it's Bose noise and I'm reading it together the Bose noise cancelling the new headphones laptop cover it's a marble cover I used to have and it broke didn't get that on my list here oh I did get this air purifier that's cool hey I accomplished something I bought myself an air filter a HEPA air filter which is clutch for the fires I felt like I don't know like I can tell a difference a little bit in the morning when
Starting point is 00:38:47 I wake up like how I breathed overnight because I put it in my bedroom and I'm sure that helped during the fire time because it was real smoky Dyson uh I got a Dyson fan here on my list I have not bought yet it is $630 so I don't know maybe y'all get it maybe I won't I feel like I'm surviving okay with my fans I have and I don't need it um some essential oils I got sucked into looking oh I should get these okay wait no I'm gonna buy these because they are cinnamon harvest spice apple cider coffee cake gingerbread and pumpkin pie scented spice or oils and that would be perfect to um diffuse right now for fall time move to cart that's a that's a good price too $16.95 add to cart hey we're shopping together you know what today we're shopping together
Starting point is 00:39:36 uh I got a keep cup on here I used to have a keep cup it's a reusable coffee cup but I don't know I've been liking my pickle jar I'm okay with my pickle jar um right now I like the wide mouth, because I have a big mouth, so it, let me drink your rain out and kind of walk through it. Yeah, it's, like, the perfect size, the open, the rim of it, so, I don't know, I have, like, three of these I've been rotating, and then I also have this amazing blinged out Starbucks cup. Starbucks, why do I feel like I have a Midwestern accent today? Starbucks, they have, like, weird, they're Arb, Scarbucks, um, that sounds Southern, what am I doing? Uh, anyways, it's a Starbucks cup with, rhinestones all over it I ordered from a girl she's so it was awesome she reached out to me
Starting point is 00:40:23 on Instagram and um she's like hey you know like check out my little business or whatever and she makes she blings stuff and so I had her I had her send me one it was cool um here's a Dyson air wrap complete styler for multiple hair types and on my Amazon list here and I don't know like I'm so low maintenance with my hair right now I think that's something I'd invest in that's $550 dollars I'd probably invest in that later like next year if I don't really want it though like I'm I don't need a lot of I don't I'm so like my hair takes me literally people are like how do you curl your hair it takes me 10 minutes I've had the same curling iron since the beginning of college and it's broken like the tip of its fell off there's like a screw hanging out and I have
Starting point is 00:41:09 a straightener that I think my used to be my sister's that was a hand-me-down that's all I have. So I don't know how life-changing this Dyson Airwrap would be, but maybe, I don't know, maybe next year, maybe, who knows? I'm not like dying to have it, but it is in my cart here or on my list. An LED face mask. Those are like those white masks people put over their face that have like, they light up and look like a Jabbawockeez fucking mask. We have a mud scrubber tray a mat for my shoes interesting I got a bead kit hey I bought a bead kit so I don't need that in my cart anymore on my list I did buy a friendship bracelet kit so that was in my my gift list here on Amazon I have next a light bright I remember playing with a light bright
Starting point is 00:42:00 as a little kid in the 90s and I missed it apparently that day I put it in my list here and yeah maybe I'll get a light right that might be cute for my set for my studio update on my studio by the way um let me check my orders but I think Amazon well I am on Amazon but I have to open a new tab you guys are really like I'm going step by step with my fucking um approach here to today's podcast I'm on amazon.com I'm going to my orders oh I do have a return to go to UPS today to do um and I have a UPS truck outside how clean there we are in a simulation I just said UPS and the fucking UPS truck showed up outside um but no my soundproof is either it's either arriving today it's arriving sometime between today and October 5th which means arriving by Monday
Starting point is 00:42:51 track package sorry I'm checking on it I wanted to do a studio update because um the light bright was reminding me that maybe I could put that in my studio or reminded me of my soundproof coming track package let's see here nothing updated so it'll be arriving by next Monday so my first the reason I'm even saying this let me let me bring it all home let me pull this let me bring this bitch together what am I saying um I'm saying this because I'm going to be on video every day starting this Thursday and so my soundproof for my background because I'm trying to get my studio set up isn't coming till Monday moving on I don't think I'm gonna buy a light bright I don't think it's necessary but it it's sweet
Starting point is 00:43:31 um and a philips sonicare toothbrush oh those are cheap why wouldn't I buy that it's 50 bucks why do I think those are like $400 toothbrushes um I've been using a manual toothbrush I'm a you know an oral b $4 toothbrush from the grocery store I'll tell a little story here because I haven't been very I haven't been your I've been a little uh storyteller today so I'll do that every time so here's the thing I should just invest in this nice philips sonicare $50 toothbrush it's a nice I've used one before they're great they're solid my brain sees that and I didn't I probably didn't even read the price I just thought oh I should put this on my gift list because it's $400 and it's too expensive like I wouldn't pay that much for a toothbrush anyways cutting to
Starting point is 00:44:16 the chase here I revert to or I was I resort all these r words today what's happening I resort to yeah, resort to basic Oral-B Crest toothbrushes. You know what I mean? The stuff you see in the grocery store. And every time, this is my story time. Okay. There comes a time when you leave the house and you no longer live with your mom and dad and you go off to college. And why is this sounding so dramatic? And when I lived with my parents, you know, we'd go to the store and throwing a bunch of toothbrushes you know what I mean like let's restock toothbrushes and they were always around I always had one right but the day comes and you're off and you're off on your own you're in your first apartment and it's time it's time to renew that toothbrush you know you
Starting point is 00:45:05 brought you brought your toothbrush from mom's house to college you wrap that thing in a little uh fucking tin foil or plastic wrap you put it in a zip up container and brought it off to college so yeah it's time to renew that and you have to go to the grocery store and buy a new one and Jacqueline you don't know this going into the situation but you're going to stand there paralyzed for 10 to 15 minutes staring at 76 options of toothbrushes in the grocery store your local at that time what store was I at I was at a Dismores in Pullman Washington I remember this day very well and um shitty shittiest it's like I'm going back to the 1970s when you walk in that grocery store it's it's an old store so anyways Jacqueline you're gonna stand there 15 minutes
Starting point is 00:45:55 paralyzed staring at 76 toothbrushes and then after going cross-eyed not knowing what one to pick cross-comparing grabbing a couple looking at the bristles soft medium as far as the hardness of the you know how much pressure it's gonna apply to your gums after doing that for a while you pull out your phone and you go to google.com and then you start looking reviews up on these motherfuckers and you're standing there now for 20 minutes googling what toothbrush to buy the reason i'm telling this story is because i'm not proud i'm not proud of this moment this uh this story i'm telling about my toothbrush uh shopping experience in the past and multiple experiences um I the reason I'm saying this yeah multiple experiences because this happens every
Starting point is 00:46:44 fucking time I buy a toothbrush I'm 26 this has been going on since I was about 18 years old and I don't know what to do and I should just get a Sonicare toothbrush like I'm looking at here I'm telling you guys what's on my Amazon list and my gift on my gift list I should just buy this for myself for $50 it's not that I mean it comes with a refill I'm 26 I should own a nice toothbrush but I've been wasting think about it if I spend like let's say now I'm spending only like five minutes trying to decide what toothbrush to buy every time like even recently I got a new it's a new purple one I remember standing there looking at all the toothbrushes like I don't know which one to get it's my biggest I've never been more indecisive in front of the the toothbrushes in
Starting point is 00:47:31 the aisle I've never been more indecisive in my life that is my most decisive indecisive that is my most annoyed at myself and guys do you ever get like this indecisive people out there sometimes in the grocery store I will read labels I will look at products condiments and stuff whatever is in front of me pickles olives I will look at so many of the options I'll look at all the options I'll look it up for so long that I walk away with nothing and I'm just over I'm paralyzed and I hate that shit so anyways um I'm telling the story because it happens all the time and that was your little story time for today's podcast I don't know maybe that'd be a soothing bedtime story tonight so if you're trying to find a way or if you're having trouble with your sleep
Starting point is 00:48:14 like me lately just rewind back to that section and um you know that'll be Jacqueline's toothbrush story for you um so yeah let's wrap that bitch up and uh go wrap that bitch up I need to stop saying that, um, I'll move on to the next product in my cart here, shit, I even have today on the, on the episode notes, I want to talk about fall recipes for my childhood that I want to make, so we'll move on to that, I have a few more, more things here, hey, I did get a pan, I did get a new, uh, pan for my, a cooking pan, what is this thing called, the green pan, ceramic non-stick green pan for cook, green pan, green pan for cooking, so accomplish that, Um, I don't know. We can probably scroll through here. Oh, I wanted a Roomba.
Starting point is 00:49:02 So earlier in the quarantine times, damn it. Why I'm opening FaceTime. Oh no. Oh my God. Manchester, Pennsylvania is calling. What just happened? Sorry. Hey, we're live. I'm not editing, editing this. I walked you through what just happened to me. Anyways, I got really into looking up on Amazon. Um, those robot, those floor cleaning Roombas. I, I spent again, like I spend so much time researching and looking and trying to find the right one I finally put one on the list here and I never bought it I actually thought of buying it for myself for my birthday and um anyways yeah I have a floor robot in here because as you know as I've mentioned many times in the past I have an issue getting um ground coffee all over the fucking floor every day and
Starting point is 00:49:46 it cements itself to my marble and it is not fun to clean so if I had a little robot to take care of, to take care of that. That'd be great. I'm probably not going to buy that. It doesn't seem necessary. And oh my gosh, I will, you know what? I will buy that robot for my floor when I get a kitten and the kitten will ride around it like a little car, ride around on it like a little car. What are sentences? Do I have enough caffeine in me yet today? Probably not. That was water. Next is coffee. dude podcasting never gets old i love this shit let's move on to my list here i hope you're enjoying this i'm on amazon i'm looking at my list if you
Starting point is 00:50:30 lost your place you couldn't remember what i was fucking talking about keeping you guys in the loop circling back in we're on the list here fucking hydro flask i don't need one of those okay i don't like hydro flasks i have a ptsd from spilling coffee all over the carpet in a yacht once from an unsealed from, from, it was my own fault for not sealing a hydro flask all the way. And, uh, you know, I did not pay for the new carpet. Uh, and I, I got a lot of shit about that. Um, moving on, we have, oh my gosh, these are sick these are shoes they light up on the bottom 3290 that's not too bad led shoot dancing sneakers the whole bottom is like a light up thing I probably wanted those for to make because I was
Starting point is 00:51:24 inspired to do a tiktok with those in the dark or something oh a naked a naked it's like a lady silhouette neon light a pink one I wanted for my bedroom but I don't know everyone has those I don't want it if everyone wants it I don't if everyone has it I don't want it that's like my brand like oh you have the new iPhone well mine is this 7 plus 7 plus like I seriously cannot believe I have a 7 plus I discovered that the other day I told you guys that story too um of how this whole time I've been thinking of an 8 and I have a 7 anyways I'm trying to be different um oh a disco ball and a lava lamp on this list here okay uh you guys have to understand I moved into a new apartment I was like just window shopping on Amazon I threw a bunch of shit in uh in a list
Starting point is 00:52:17 here oh a fireplace what the fuck a wall-mounted fireplace with led changing lights I wanted only 250 bucks for that that's not too bad I don't know where I'd put it i have a man cave kind of style going on in my apartment i feel like all it's missing is a is a fireplace um oh fluffy pillows i did end up buying those so that's good i accomplished something there and moving on we have an air fryer i remember those those just are not they're not they're not it i don't get the air fryer hype i had air fried chicken once and i was like I just like juicy baked chicken I'm cool with that um and also I don't like buying appliances that take up too much like they take up too much room and then you only use them like once every
Starting point is 00:53:05 three months a lot of them so it's not it's just annoying and saving space is very important because I plan on having um multiple children in this one bedroom apartment someday now and I need space for their toys. Can you imagine if I had, imagine if I had, like, kids? Oh my gosh, it's so crazy, like, I have, I've been thinking about having kids lately, like, imagining life with kids at this age, because a lot of women do at this point, and I'm just, like, I get giddy about it, and then I'm, like, oh my god, then my, then I just be a mom. I'd be a mom, and that's cool, that's amazing, but I'm scared of, I think I'm, I'm scared of losing my identity like Jacqueline you know the way I am with because I'll every my whole life will be my kids as soon
Starting point is 00:53:55 as I have my kids I know it's it's over your it's your kids are that's your new life and that's what you've got and I know that there's all these health health or life coaches out there that are like you know never uh take you know make sure you take care of yourself before you take care of your kids make sure you like you know but I know I'm gonna get sucked away and at some point like that's what happens uh it's hard to just like be a little boss bitch daily podcaster with three kids running around it is possible though I do plan on it what am I saying oh is imagining you like to have kids in here well we'll uh we'll be getting the cat next year and then uh we'll work we'll work from there and uh potential uh fathers will be rolling out
Starting point is 00:54:40 i'll be rolling out with the father's next one i'm fucking saying i think next year it's gonna my dating life will pop off again like never before 2021 we're coming i'm coming oh wow um okay i got a sheepskin rug here natural rug on this list did not need that but i do i do love a sheepskin rug there's something about it a couple curtain rods they haven't bought curtains yet I don't really I think it's just unnecessary um for my place like I don't think I I don't think it'll look as good as I think it'll look um we got an herb garden here what the hell it's 280 dollars aero garden bounty indoor hypodropic hydroponic herb garden that's cool I love cooking I love cooking with herbs so maybe that'd be cool to get how are you guys doing on
Starting point is 00:55:32 this podcast right now. Are we liking this format? I get really nervous about this list thing I'm doing and if it's even interesting because you guys can't see what I'm looking at. I'm trying to narrate as best as possible. We got the new Apple AirPod Pros on this list and I'm cool with my original AirPods. I'm okay with it. I know these new ones are better, but I don't need them. oh I got these oh I did get these ghost chairs I did get chairs that are clear so that was an accomplishment yay okay I'm almost done um a mini fridge I wanted to put chilled wine in I thought that would look cool because the glass so whenever I watch like keeping up the Kardashians or any housewives shows or anyone any of those shows where you see someone's kitchen I love those
Starting point is 00:56:20 fridges where you can see their drink their drinks lined up because it's like a clear door so I wanted to get a mini fridge that was uh like had it has a clear door on it and I was gonna put it in my kitchen and oh my god I could put that it could be in my studio and I could have it full of like almond milk and iced coffee and shit someday hey guys support me on patreon.com slash tjms to uh help me buy this mini fridge oh my gosh like that's how my brain works works I'm looking at this and I'm like the reason I wanted that is because it's aesthetic and it looks cute because you can see the drinks like i love look so my one of my youtube like searches or like something i see on my discover page is a lot of house tour stuff a lot of architectural
Starting point is 00:57:07 digest and i i'm obsessed with those um guys i'm so obsessed with uh like home tours i'm i love seeing and it's so cool it's so interesting and when people open their fridge i'm like they have so many drinks some people have like an entire fridge just for drinks and I think it's cool like it makes me I like seeing drinks and I do it myself with all my little sparkling waters and recently Snapple I'm on a peach Snapple kick I love peach Snapple um what else have I been drinking water almond milk coffee yeah obviously LaCroix oh Zevia I do like my root beer Zevia from Whole foods. It's the, the healthy soda pop, which who knows? Uh, let's move. Oh, I did get a cast iron skillet. That was on my list here. I accomplished that. Um, a ring light. I accomplished that. I
Starting point is 00:57:57 bought that. I got my Canon camera on this list and a case for it. I got a cute white case for it. So I accomplished that. So what's cool to me to see, this is my verbal morning pages. I'm just reflecting on my life here. I'm reflecting on my past purchases. And it's kind of nice to see that at one point I wanted that and then I got it and that's I think that's positive that's good I'm like moving forward in life and these things are helping me like this ring light I bought this camera I bought I'm about to use to pop off on my uh podcast on YouTube so you know it's kind of nice to see like wow I bought that and again I would be uh this might be more entertaining um well it would be of course if I had a screen recording going as you're
Starting point is 00:58:43 watching this podcast. So you could see my, see my Amazon list here. Oh my God. Okay. Wait. Ooh, knives. I was looking for the same knives that my uncle had, or I think my aunt, obviously she still has it at her house. It's like a, what's the name? It's like a, um, a German, I think German brand knife set. They're really expensive. Just super heavy knives, knives, knives, knives. Um, cause I don't have, like, I use the same knife for everything. I have a little paring knife and then I have a chopping like a vegetable chopping knife and it's sad like that's all I have and I don't want the thing is though I don't need a full knife set I don't it's not like I need a serrated knife I'm not cutting a lot of bread in my day you know what I mean I'm like
Starting point is 00:59:30 I'm okay I think that'd be a nice thing to have but then again I take up my it take up too much real estate on my counter if I had a fucking knife block so I'm gonna pass a beach blanket cute thought I'd be at the beach a lot more than I was this year I told you guys that yesterday on my live I was like I explained my day-to-day and I'm like the fact that I live here and I'm not at the beach literally at least five days a week is insane lately I'm just all I can think about is podcasting as soon as I finish this I'm like 24 hours I can't wait to do it again and again and again and again and again let me drink more coffee psych that was water the bubbles only come out when I'm drinking water I would never do that
Starting point is 01:00:20 to iced coffee I'd probably that would like grind up the back of my throat the cat like the coffee would like peel from gargle what did that would that happen probably not I'd like go my the back of my throat would get rubbed raw what am I saying from my coffee gargling. Um, a couple other things on the list here and then I'm going to get off because I want to move on to my fall recipes. I have stasher bags. I thought I was going to save the, save the planet this year and stop using my plastic bags and get stasher bags because they're so aesthetic and cute and spongy. And if you've ever felt one or used one, there's something about those reusable silicone bags. Um, it's, it's pleasant. You know, that's the thing. I'm a
Starting point is 01:01:02 texture bitch I love things that feel nice and look nice I've I've raved about my moleskin cashier notebook I use I don't know why it's called a cashier notebook but I like I don't know what it is I'm sensory I'm sensory AF I'm sensory I like like my pumpkin I'm looking at here my decoration my decorative pumpkin I got at Vons is bumpy and it feels cute when I when I touch it it's like little bumps I don't know I just like when things feel nice is this weird am I oh my god is this like a weird kink kink thing I don't know um like my little stuffed animal so soft um okay and I'm also a girl and girls like soft cute things why am I telling you this I don't know silicone stash your bags apparently I wanted those let's do like one or two more things
Starting point is 01:01:48 um decor items here I have a leather tufted pink nightstand for my bedroom and I wanted that back in May apparently one more thing here I'm going to choose we're going to talk about oh I did buy that so this will end on an accomplishment I did buy that back massager from Amazon the one that goes around your neck so wow I'm feeling I'm feeling accomplished today just read my Amazon list I ended up buying a lot of things on it um that I needed at one point or whatever I wanted that's cool how did Monday night football go last night let's check the news nfl.com I got so many tabs open it's insane we had a game I didn't care about happen last night
Starting point is 01:02:38 Chiefs Ravens and uh Chiefs let's let's see the highlights I didn't watch it I gotta go subscribe or something to my app on my TV or like pay more to see NFL games now I think I had like a free trial I don't know I don't have cable I don't have any of that shit I don't know how to stream I don't know how to do anything I'm like I know I have an NFL app on my TV and then I could watch football on Sunday and then last night was trying to watch Monday night football it kicked me out and it's like you gotta subscribe or whatever the fuck it's like asking for more money I just want to see the results, man. I don't want to see this video. Scores. You guys probably already know what happened. I'm really trying to like pay attention to football this year. I want to be a part of
Starting point is 01:03:20 something. I want to feel connected to a, to a sport, sporting culture. What am I saying? Looks like we got a 34-20 Chiefs. Sweet. Okay. So I don't care about either of those teams, but chief salon go chief ca um okay the last thing i'm gonna do today on today's podcast i'm feeling like cutting it shorter instead of dragging this shit on forever um is going over i i have this journal thing here and i remember back in college i like realized after a couple years i'm like oh i don't live with my mom anymore i never eat the food we grew up with because i don't cook it for myself and i was trying to like remember stuff like i was like reminiscing like oh like what do I want to make for my childhood that my mom would make if I lived at home so I literally wrote
Starting point is 01:04:09 as many things I could possibly think of on here that I wanted to make and I don't really think I ever did maybe a couple of these like let me try to find something I've made bunny toast yeah I think I remembered oh my mom used to make us bunny toast so I started doing that again it's where you put the egg in the middle of the bread on the pan it's like that's what we call the bunny toast I don't know why I think actually you know what she used to do like a my mom used to cut out pretty sure she had like a bunny ear like face cookie cutter she would use to make us breakfast like our toast she would cut out like that anyways uh shout out mom like I see that's when I when I say I get giddy about being a mom that's the type of stuff I'm looking forward to
Starting point is 01:04:54 like making my kids breakfast in the morning and cute shapes hello um so anyways on this list here there's a couple things that popped out to me and I I'm looking through a lot of old journals from my past and I found this one so I think it's kind of fun to read I oh I just found my first plane ticket to California on here that's cool um this thing is full of really amazing content from my past um it's fun it's just fun to look back I love doing it you know what I mean I know for those out there all the people that are like you're sad you're in your apartment you live alone you podcast every day by yourself you reminisce about the past you're stuck in the past to that I say no I'm celebrating my life I'm proud of where I've I'm proud of the progress
Starting point is 01:05:36 that progress I've made this year and I'm it's helping me it's helping me helping me be more grateful my past is helping me be grateful for my present I I needed to not do that um so on here I have a a recipe for hot cross buns with cabbage my mom used to make hot cross buns and apparently I wanted to make those again um let's see something else here my mom would make a dutch baby that was a breakfast thing we we do on Sunday sometimes are you like it's like a bunch of eggs and then it blows up really high in the oven because you put it on really hot and then it like puffs down I don't know how to explain it if you've ever had a dutch baby my mom used to make those and apparently I wanted to make one again um lasagna I never
Starting point is 01:06:24 made lasagna in college but I wrote here that I wanted to because my mom makes the best lasagna I know is this interesting again I'm listing shit off that um isn't I don't know I'm trying to like show you talk about my life you know what I mean see if there's anything else oh we used to get these Danish chocolate sprinkles from the specialty little grocery store by my it's like a a tiny little grocery store up on the hill kind of like where we live and I remember um oh I can do a little story time now after I say this thing but we got these chocolate sprinkles from there and we put it on toast with butter and it was like the most Dana shit ever and I missed that so apparently I wrote that down for me to make in college and I can confirm that
Starting point is 01:07:09 that never happened and I don't know what happened I don't know so yeah I just I fucking wrote a bunch of food I used to eat with my mom on the list because I that's the thing that sucks and I'm even noticing it now like my mom is such a good cook and every time I go home I'm like she just like cooks all the time she makes these extravagant things I'm like I don't ever like I cook the most bro style like meat and veggies and a car like a pro like fucking rice and potatoes and eggs and like protein shakes and my my I can cook don't get me wrong like hey if we're on a date, I'll cook, I'll work it out. We'll all cook you some fucking food and I'll make it so good. I know how to cook. It's just, I'm realizing now that I don't have a lot of
Starting point is 01:07:57 occasions to cook for. And so, yeah, I'm probably a little rusty, but I miss, I miss like being around the kitchen with my mom and, um, getting gourmet about her or shit. You know what I mean? So anyways, this particular, so yeah, I was telling you about the last thing I mentioned was that sprinkles these Danish sprinkles we put on toast and we'd have that before school so anyways story time this little grocery store close to where we lived is it's such a it's like a it holds a very special place in my heart because I would drive there illegally many times in my mom's little BMW we had and there was a sharp corner so meaning illegally I did it alone once underage I think I was like 14 and we lived out in the farmland area where there's not a lot
Starting point is 01:08:52 going on you know what I mean long roads no one around but I I learned how to drive before I was 16 you know what I mean I was sitting in my parents laps drive steering the wheel while they have they did the gas when I was like six years old I still remember being in like our truck and my dad would like let us we'd we'd like take turns as kids driving and he would do the he would obviously press the gas but we we had control of the wheel a little bit this is not I don't know if I'm allowed to disclose this information but anyways the little grocery store the little corner store I remember driving to and it was such a big part of my life like we would go there all the time and I remember it was like our coffee run in the morning like let's go to the the what was
Starting point is 01:09:35 called the Rexville grocery now I'm like really telling you where I live I don't know if it's called that anymore the Rexville grocery but um yeah I remember so I would drive there my mom would I'd always beg her like can I drive can I drive and she'd be like okay okay fine I'm like 12 and um shout out mom you're you're a cool mom you're definitely a cool mom and I remember like there's this particular turn, like a hairpin turn. And I've told you guys all the stories about how I want to be a race car driver, how I love driving. I'm just like, like driving cars. And I remember I have never been, well, first of all, it's so risky having your underage daughter drive you to the little grocery store. You know what I mean? Like I get why she was so wound up when I took
Starting point is 01:10:21 this particular turn um but I don't know in the moment so anyways like I remember a particular time we were driving there and I took this turn so like wide like I was in the other lane like it was not good or yeah that's how it went I'm like wait did I go too tight there's something I did wrong you know and I got screamed out like I've never been screamed out before she was so scared and anyways I would there's also like a dike by the river next to this road on the way to the grocery store and it was so windy you know what I mean and so I remember like going around these turns and her just bracing herself but she let me drive pretty much every time so that's kind of how I got um I learned to drive on these back roads and it's just such a crazy thing to look
Starting point is 01:11:08 back on you go there and I'd get um I wasn't a coffee drinker I think I drank my uh hot chocolate there. Yeah. We'd always get hot chocolate and a little brownie carry on with the day. Dang. I miss being 12. It's crazy. But that's, that's a funny story to think about. Like my mom would get so mad at me. She'd be like, chocolate, you could have killed me. No, I'm like, mom, don't let me, we can drive then. But you know, I feel like all moms do that. Even now, if your mom's in the passenger seat, she's probably bracing for her life the whole time. i think that's a thing people don't i think it's like a parent thing no matter what your kid's doing it's like you're just always trying to protect them always trying to make sure
Starting point is 01:11:50 that they're going to be safe and that's amazing that's beautiful and i should probably end the podcast on that high note still have a ton of coffee left i'm holding my little stuffed animal my arm here sitting back i'm feeling really grateful for this national coffee day tuesday burrito Tuesday debate tonight I never mentioned the debate all the info this is the info I got I got to tell you about the debate we got a where is it how to tab open come back come back you know what it's on my chrome I got two browsers open right now we got the debate tonight Tuesday September 29th at 6 p.m. in Cleveland Ohio there's all these CNN articles on what to look for at the debate let's just see what what it says wall street journal what to know about tonight's
Starting point is 01:12:39 debate between president trump and joe biden does the algorithm pick up if i say president trump joe biden does it pick up that and then bump me up so i can become more discoverable because you know i've been reading articles and i need to take my podcasting seriously and i'll do whatever it fucking takes if i have to make so here's the thing if that's the case if talking about the election and using those phrases would make the robot um would help would like attract the algorithm whatever it's called it I would the little like listener ear fucking what am I saying the little podcast or algorithm thing would hear me say it like Trump and Biden Trump and Biden a bunch of times and then bump me up to the top so if I made a podcast for like an hour straight just
Starting point is 01:13:21 kind of saying their names and sentences and you guys I would recommend in the beginning to not listen to it but I would do it for the purposes of bumping my helping my podcast get just discovered then, um, I do it. I'll do anything to rise to the top. You know what I mean? I'm a daily podcaster. I'll do anything. Someday I'll take this shit seriously. What did I say earlier? I was like, dude, I'm not, I'm not, I never make it a point to like walk away from the, or I don't go into the podcast trying to say something profound. Cause it's just nonsense. and it's fun and i'm having the best time of my life okay so this is what wall street journal says to know about tonight's debate between president trump and joe biden oh they don't
Starting point is 01:14:11 have bullet points there's paragraphs are you kidding me i just need bullet points i cannot read paragraphs for my listeners right now but let me try to like skim it president trump's unconventional politics will compete in joe biden's traditional debate preparations dude this is gonna be a train wreck oh my god i'm so excited tonight's gonna be the fucking night of our lives guys okay now i'm getting excited 2020 has been a shit show tonight is the first presidential debate it is going to be the most entertaining shit we've seen all year this is gonna make this is gonna make the fucking tiger king shit like all the stuff we thought was entertaining look like or watching a funeral on tv like that's what tiger king will think look
Starting point is 01:14:59 like in comparison to this fucking debate that was a terrible analogy but you know what i mean oh my god i just realized like i'm realizing things but i just got so excited for 6 p.m oh my god guys okay everyone tune into the debate i mean i can't wait to recap it tomorrow on the podcast tomorrow's podcast will be the debate 2020 presidential election debate one oh my god oh my god okay so like oh like trump versus biden what the fuck how is this oh my gosh like that just i can't wait it's gonna be so juicy okay let's just see what the wall street journal says here if i can pull out anything trump biden questioning each other's fitness mr trump has devoted the bulk of his criticism of mr biden to his fitness for office frequently questioning his
Starting point is 01:15:52 mental acuity in tweets and rallies it will likely be a line of attack tuesday no shit the shit trump's gonna say about biden's mental acuity i love saying big words acuity dude holy shit that's what i'm looking forward to i'm just looking for that those comments and then i can probably tap out because i i don't know if i can it's going to be i'm going to be glued to the fucking tv dude life is a movie this year is a fucking movie trump's unpredictable debate style biden's response mr trump has dramatically changed presidential political debates making the attacks more personal and aimed at rattling his opponents okay i don't know what to read there how's it how are you doing how's this podcast going
Starting point is 01:16:41 uh wait it's today tuesday dude burrito tuesday i'm serious about i cannot wait i'm gonna order my burrito tonight i'm gonna watch the debate i'm single i'm 26 years old this is my life welcome to it hi i'm a podcaster i'm a daily podcaster isn't that the most sad shit ever some people I I'm self-conscious I'm like I feel like some people would think that's sad and I'm literally like this is the this is the best day of my fucking life national coffee day I'm making a podcast right now I'm gonna watch this debate tonight and eat a burrito I'm probably gonna like take a nice fat fucking nap later because I only got five hours of sleep dude live your dreams there's your inspo today there's your fucking Tuesday motivation okay let's see
Starting point is 01:17:24 what else this internet says about the debate dude I can't wait I just got you know what happened there I was about to wind down the podcast and then I really like thought about what I'm about what I'm about to witness tonight it's gonna be juicy and then all the shit we're gonna see on social media about it all the memes oh my god I can't wait okay wait whoa I got too excited I got too excited let me go on my phone let me go on my phone hold on I'm getting notifications I've got a stock to check right now hi reinvest don't don't be stupid make sure you're sticking your money back in the pot all right what's happening oh wait hold on I'm gonna see your seventh inning stretch while Jacqueline checks your stocks okay um I haven't done the I've done a lot of things
Starting point is 01:18:14 in the past over and over and over again like episode after episode after episode I'm like saying the same like seventh inning stretch and who's catching feelings it's episode 26 what girls talk to your in your ear seven days a week like I say these repetitive things I don't think I've mentioned the seventh inning stretch in a few episodes so I'm bringing it back um time to get up take a stretch you guys are probably active as fuck right now at the gym on a walk doing your dishes it's always interesting to me like where people say they listen to the podcast I'll never forget the night someone was like yes like 11 30 p.m and let's do the podcast I'm like what are you doing but hey if this is your bedtime story like I said earlier play that little uh
Starting point is 01:18:54 toothbrush clip before bed tonight and that'll be your bedtime story okay I'm gonna check dms I'm gonna end this podcast um oh whoa okay guys I just got a dm from this guy from England he's okay so back when I was 18 oh my god I was okay so this is weird I'm gonna open the DM I haven't read it yet so we're this is juicy this could be juicy I had this thing for a guy who was a he was from England and I think he studied abroad in the United States this is like so crazy because my ex also did that and played soccer but this guy's a rugby player who's also a doctor and um he like went to Oxford or whatever I don't know so I'm seeing a DM here I haven't opened yet and uh I just see the first line say I saw and then a dot dot dot but I can't open I can't
Starting point is 01:19:48 see it yet you know what I should do okay this is my secret oh my god I'm gonna tell you guys this is so bad so what I do I'm gonna go to his profile guys this is behind the scenes fuck okay I'm gonna type his name in okay I'm gonna make him I'm gonna restrict him and read the message before I open it oh wait he has a girlfriend okay wait I'm not that nervous actually anymore wait is that a sister I don't know okay so um this is such a throwback like I have not heard from this guy in like six years okay I'm gonna read so what you do this is your little life tip of the day if you don't want someone to see you open their dm but you want to see what they said and that way you can like prep and prepare for your response you can go into your notes app and
Starting point is 01:20:30 do like six different drafts of how you're going to respond just make them restricted open it and then unrestrict them oh okay so it's not that juicy has nothing to do with like how have you been or any bullshit I posted that um I've been watching uh sequential brands the stock sqbg because uh literally it's it went from like 560 dollars the stock price is that in 2015 and now it's like four dollars and um it's sequential brands owns like jessica simpson's brand uh and one all the walmart shitty clothes brands and it owns heelys so i said everyone asked santa for heelys this year let's let's see heelys make a comeback so this motherfucker can turn around and go back up because it was also like back in like 2008 the stock price was like 1200 and now it's
Starting point is 01:21:26 four dollars so it's insane so I've been like you know just I'm learning all these new things but anyways it looks like he had replied to that and that's not as crazy as I thought but shout out to you that's such a throwback like it's weird when someone you used to flirt with on Instagram like swings back around in your DMs like eight years later but I just taught you something there's your educational component of the podcast restrict people read their DM unrestrict they never saw you read it and you can prepare what your response will be I do this all the time and I'm not shy about it. Dude, I should also tell you my stalking routine. Everyone has a stalking routine. Heelys message me back. Let's go Heelys to the moon. I tagged them. And of course they've
Starting point is 01:22:06 got a social media person on this shit. You know, I, I, I think that companies that have someone camped out on Instagram messages 24 seven, and they have those people respond. That's the kind of, that's the kind of customer service that I, um, I love to see. Um, DM from mom. Cause we're kind of fighting. She had told me to stop cussing and I told her to stop trying to change me. And let's see what she said. I love you. Oh, she asked for my dad's number. What? My parents split up, but, um, they still talk. That's weird. Maybe she like got blocked. Maybe they were fighting. I don't know my parents are pretty neutral I don't even remember his number wait I think it's this you guys are just like in my life right now I'm in my fucking dms I'm just telling her I love
Starting point is 01:23:03 her back yeah I know my mom doesn't like it when I cuss and so I have a hard time sometimes holding it back and I don't want like I think she in her in her brain she'd like it if I never like my personal brand wasn't so rough and like cussy and and and you know it was like more polished and you know hey dude I'm not trying to get hired I've already established that I told you guys that yesterday I'm like look I've had this epiphany I'm not putting myself on the internet anymore to try to get hired and to make sure that I look you know or like sound well-spoken what am I trying to say professional that's the word I'm not trying to do that anymore I'm like, you know what? Hey, I came out this year as myself. And I'm like, I'm Jacqueline.
Starting point is 01:23:51 This is me. I'm doing a podcast and let everyone in my life telling my life story every day and take me or leave me. I'm not for everyone. And I love those people out there right now that are like, I love this shit. I love listening to your podcast because I feel like you guys are making it possible. I just thank you for allowing me to be me. And I could do that myself, but it's nice to get that reinforcement that like oh you can just do this and it's not considered it's not a negative thing it's not like you should be embarrassed by it you should embrace it and you guys are you're helping me along this self-acceptance fucking journey and i don't need all those influencers influencers out there with those toxic positivity fucking memes
Starting point is 01:24:31 i got you guys what the hell was that earlier i mean so because she was a self-improvement influencer self uh self-love type of influencer she coaches people on that and i'm like these memes i just don't understand let's see if i have any more dms i gotta unrestrict that guy unrestrict if you listen to this be like dude what the fuck you could have just opened the message i'll be like that's crazy he saw an advert about heelys today absolute frame flames i love the slang. What? That's crazy. My response. What? That's crazy. Crying funny face. I think you're hot. Oh my God. I'm so crazy. Dude. I love, I just love that British accent. I can't help myself. You guys know this. If you're a new listener, you know, I haven't addressed, Hey, if you're
Starting point is 01:25:28 a new listener, go to patreon.com slash TJMS to support the show. Fuck. Um, but if you're new listener I haven't if you don't know my past stories my first two boyfriends are British British guys and so there's a pattern here with my of course I like that that guy was just DMing um who knows I'm trying to like stalk his profile he has a cute dog I just love the countryside over there it's so charming it feels like you're in a like a movie I love England I love I just like miss it it's so green and charming is the word it just feels cute when everything feels nice when you're there I've never felt like like England to me is like if a country could be a gesture like a physical touch it would be a giant hug that's how I feel when I go there
Starting point is 01:26:20 LA would be the middle finger San Diego would be the like hang loose sign same with Hawaii you know what i'm saying england feels like a hug and i miss it i'm not done with my coffee this podcast is still going i need to stop a couple more dms i'm gonna shout out a dm because he's an og and he probably would like it if i opened it and talked about on the podcast he was teaching me how to eat an apple tonight on my life life you eat it from the bottom to the top and i finally did that and he's like i'm telling you we've been lying to our whole lives so that was his message did you ever hit your face with a ball while flicking the ball lying in your bed? Oh, he's talking about, I, on my basketball episode, episode 24, I talked about,
Starting point is 01:27:07 um, I remember like the first time I like practice, I was like intentionally trying to get good outside of practice and do drills at home and shit. And I would sit for hours on my bed and flick my wrist and like throw the, like shoot the ball up to the ceiling. So he asked me if I ever did that and hit my head and of course they did good morning okay how was your movie date on Saturday night okay so all he's currently left on scene I want to focus on the podcast focus on you guys how are you doing right now how are you doing let's check back in let's end this podcast dude I'm excited today is gonna be the best day we have the fucking debate tonight dude this is more exciting the fucking super bowl i just said that for too many times mom i deeply apologize
Starting point is 01:27:53 i'll go to confession um next time i'm home with you we can go to church i will come along and i will confess for swearing dude today is the super bowl oh my god today is like the first debate and holy shit let me see what twitter's saying i'm not gonna end this podcast right now twitter.com twitter.com oh and stick around if you're uh i'm just saying this as if there's like 10 people or more stick around if you're a patron to hear your patron shout out at the end of the episode all my patrons get a shout out and I I say their name with a funny association of like it's hard to explain you have to like be one to understand and currently I have one patron episode 26 I'm a little bit embarrassed by that but I'm telling you everything man I'm telling
Starting point is 01:28:39 you everything um let's see what people are saying about the debate I'm just typing in debate tonight twitter search is better than google search things on twitter not google it's so much more interesting um obviously people talk a lot of shit but it's you can like search for specific thoughts like and then people's people typing that out so anyways like if you're like what's the debate gonna be like tonight you could ask that to twitter and then anyways you guys understand it's 2020 you know what twitter is ben shapiro preview of tonight's debate trump okay here we go this is his hot take two hours ago president trump says this you are old and senile and full of adderall biden you are malarkey
Starting point is 01:29:25 also killed 200 000 people and also a joseph gerbil trump your son is a drug addict biden you're a bad businessman etc okay ben shapiro thinks he's hot shit there it was a great tweet Ben Shapiro everyone let's clap it up for Ben Shapiro with his hot take on the debate tonight see what else we got Elizabeth Warren a tweet about tonight's debate okay don't want to read that just dry boring here's something a lot of retweets so Joe Biden's campaign is requesting a break every 30 minutes for tonight's debate if he can't hack 90 minutes talking then he's not fit for president someone doesn't like Biden tweeted about that they're requesting a 30 minute break. Fuck guys. Do you know what we're getting into?
Starting point is 01:30:16 The tonight is the night tonight. I'm going to like, dude, should I get, I should like fucking rage and live stream this debate with you guys tonight. Should I do that? I'm thinking about it. Oh, it's going to be so fun. I love having fun by myself lately. I mentioned, I keep saying, Oh, I mentioned yesterday cause I do the seven days a week, but I've been mentioning how much more fun I've been having alone now, like laughing out loud at the TV. And I laughed this morning in my bed. I, I literally will go. Cause here's the thing. My brother, he texted me at five 30 about the certain stock and everything. And I obviously I was like, okay, fuck five hours of sleep. I wasn't planning on getting up for another hour. Just like, and then it turned into
Starting point is 01:30:57 like us texting and then me laughing at life being like he just helped me so much and this is crazy and what the like I never like this is my year of understanding how like really understanding how the stock market works and getting some skin in the game and actually doing it and trading and everything and I'm like I am I was laughing because I'm like if this is possible why do people go I mean like obviously there's positives and going to the office and working nine to five but like I'm like what the fuck this is like life is straight up a game and how the fact that not that everyone isn't like literally everyone isn't getting involved in the stock market and trading and doing that it's like insane to me after you once you see it you can't unsee you're like oh
Starting point is 01:31:50 I'm I'm I get it this is the way this is the truth I've said many times in the past it's like pretty much if you want to get ahead in this country and really set yourself up, it's either stocks or real estate. Cause yeah, that's just the way it goes here and figure one out or figure the other one out. And I'm not really interested in real estate, to be honest. Like I'm not fully disinterested. I was, I always have to say that I always have to correct myself. Like I'll say something and I'll be like, Oh, I disagree. I didn't really mean it that way, but I don't know.
