What's up, guys? Happy Thursday. It's episode 272. Welcome back to the show.
hey what's up it's Jacqueline welcome back to the show
hello hi what's up um let's do a podcast I'm officially up to speed up to date um I don't
know why I'm gonna mention this this is so irrelevant now because it's so yesterday it's
so this it's so in the past week like I don't know why I'm bringing this to your attention again
but I pretty much had a marathon of yeah I did like five podcasts in a row yesterday to catch up
so this feels good I'm up to speed I'm up to date I can finally like start fresh and talk about
act like today Thursday what's the date May no whoa June 3rd holy oh my god it's June
it's June I never did a May favorites normally I do a favorites every month
what am I saying I usually do a May favorite or I usually do a monthly favorites for each month
I skipped May I haven't done it yet um I could knock it out right now I mean I'm sitting next
to my Febreze Mediterranean lavender fabric refresher stuff that I loved during the month
of May. And also my Febreze linen and sky air, uh, spray propellant. Um, anyways, these were
favorites of the month of May. Why? I don't know why I'm talking. They're sitting right next to me.
So I feel like, well, now, you know, um, I rediscovered. So should I talk about cleaning
products? Do we want to talk about that? Should I talk about my day? Should I talk about what I did
today, I'm just fresh off a walk with Jimmy, let me check my Apple Watch, the official
amount of steps I did today is, I walked 20,430, I walked 10 miles today,
so, wow, I do kind of feel, like, winded a little bit, like, I notice, I feel like my throat is,
like fresh it's like I just walked I had I was deep breathing um I don't know I feel like I
should have more energy for this podcast than I do right now but I should I should have eaten
dinner first before I started yeah I just walked Jimmy what was I saying do I want to do should I
check the news should I talk about Dr. Fauci's emails should I talk about the Floyd what Floyd
weather Floyd Mayweather Logan Paul fight Sunday should I talk about that should I talk about
what like I don't know let me I scrubbed my tiles in my shower today do you want me to talk about
that here's what I'm gonna do okay so quickly in in in my um dude pick a tangent Jacqueline like
pick a topic I'm gonna look at stuff in front of me and tell you
my tell you about some of my favorites I already talked to you about my Febreze
products I also have been loving like ocean blue nail polish like it's like baby blue
um I don't know it's cute like with tan toes and then blue nail polish usually I do white toes I'm
like super um OCD about having white toes at all times but this blue is really nice it's from
Orly what's the color called glass half full interesting name for a blue nail polish I've
been also liking let me look at this is boring you know what can I talk about clean I'd rather
just riff on cleaning products okay I don't know if this is because I'm aging or
I feel like for the longest time I was using all natural chemical free like
vegan fucking eco-friendly products to clean my home and I'm officially over it like I officially
said I'm gonna go buy like you know how there's cleaning product commercials for
like Swiffer's and Lysol and Clorox and Febreze and like I officially decided those products smell
the best work the best like uh yeah work the best smell the best I'm gonna use them I'm sick and
tired of these like eco-friendly like stupid they don't even smell good in my house I never
whenever I clean my home with those things I don't smell anything I want to smell a fresh
clean scent when I'm done cleaning like pine salt for example I rediscovered my love for pine salt
and now I use that on everything every surface I use it in my bathroom I even wipe my counters
down with excuse me with pine salt um anyways I just finally had it I'm like is this really
gonna kill me like think of everything I don't know like there's so many things you could do
like I don't know I could what am I saying is it snake oil is it really
does it really make that much of a difference between life and death and longevity if you use
like seventh generation whole foods brand mist on your uh made from a plant leaf
on your countertop versus pine saw you know what i mean like did my great grandma live to 103
years old because she like here's what i'm saying i i think of like my relatives all of my elders
lived past 100 and they were eating meat and potatoes and cake and fucking
they smoked they used like regular cleaning products like pine salt you know what i mean
and bleach and shitty like i don't know you know what i mean it's like they weren't
ocd about everything being clean and pure and organic so you don't get chemicals in your body
and in your bloodstream and and they live to be 103 like or past 100 i don't know why i'm on this
tangent I'm gonna move on um anyways are you first of all I love cleaning I like cleaning products
um I don't know and I feel like I'm enjoying cleaning cleaning I'm enjoying the process of
cleaning more now than ever because I'm using things that smell good and work scrubbing bubbles
foaming shower cleanser fucks that has been missing in my life since I was in like high
school at my mom's house cleaning my shower back at home and now I buy it all the time now I spray
my shower down with it I'm like this works this is a good product it's probably full of chemicals
it's probably you know I don't give a shit I'm like it works it smells good scrubbing bubbles
is the best shower cleaner. Um, it's like you spray it on and it gets really foamy. You leave
it for a little bit, you go back, you wipe it up, you scrub a little bit with like a little
Rubbermaid sponge thing. Beautiful product, dude. I don't know. I kind of feel out of sorts
with this episode. Um, to be honest, I'm like, I should have eaten dinner first. I already said
that. I don't have a beverage. I'm at my desk. I'm too far from my fridge. I could get up and
get one I'm also getting the chills from being a little sweaty from my walk and sitting in a
sports bra like you know what I mean like I'm getting cold now um but I didn't want to delay
this delay this till like 10 p.m tonight because then I'd be like oh should I have to podcast and
that's usually when I go to bed so I'm trying to be productive and get it done first um
does anyone have personal policies about emails and texts and work stuff where they don't respond
at certain hours of the day like even if i see a message i don't respond because i have a personal
policy that i am not available past 5 p.m to answer um stuff for work i set boundaries like
that and I don't know if I does that or are you like oh it's 2 a.m I got a text from a co-worker
I'm gonna respond like do you have boundaries like that with yourself because I'm currently
fighting responding to a text that I saw because I'm not I don't at 7 p.m I eat dinner I'm chilling
I'm with my dog I'm not talking about work but like I still like I feel guilty like I should
be opening the message and responding to it so like literally I've set boundaries where I don't
talk about work stuff so pretty much eight to five I'm all over my phone my email everything
but like any time after or before that I'm like no that's healthy right I feel like that's what
like the pros tell you to do like the professional people out there that have really good routines
and like schedules and shit that optimize their day they're like you got to be disciplined with
your availability and you're not always available and that's like you can't always be available at
all hours of the day for work stuff I feel like that's not healthy and so yeah I'm really I'm
struggling with that currently tonight um anyways so okay I'm out of sorts what was I saying
there's a dog barking upstairs how was your day how's your week going um
I've got this lip blister so I don't know why I'm talking about this because
I'm looking at some chapsticks I got from Costco right now it's reminding me that I have a blister
on my lip um god I'm really wasting I'm really wasting people's time like this is the kind of
podcast where I'm like or who the fuck is outside excuse me for swearing a lift car a lift driver
just dropped some people off they are obnoxiously oh god I don't want them to see me they're being
like oh my god hi you know like they just met up that's cool friendship's awesome friendship
friendship and companionship and um relationships and all that good stuff is awesome I support I
support it but it's kind of fucking annoying oh my god I don't like hearing like okay
what was what tangent was I just on so I don't forget
before I talked about the people outside no clue how was your I asked you how your week was going
oh the lip blister I'll get back to that I'll look at my chat I'll stare at my chopstick so
I don't forget but I have these neighbors who have zero etiquette when it comes to
like weekends going out having people over like because there's a there's a staircase and they
just stomp up they stomp so hard they slam the doors I know they're drinking but it's like
if even okay honestly I don't care how drunk I am I feel like whenever I'm navigating around my
apartment at like 2 a.m coming home or just like having people like having parties and stuff like
I think about my neighbors and try I try to be quiet like even if I'm super drunk like I try
I feel like I snap into my like good person mode and I you know what I mean but these neighbors I
have are like every weekend inviting tons of people over and it's like the staircase stomping
is obnoxious and then jimmy starts barking and then the dog upstairs starts barking and it's
this whole thing and noise carries so like for example like i could if i wasn't podcasting right
now i could hear the entire conversation going on outside on the sidewalk right now with the two
people that just met up um i don't know dude honestly like people are dying in the streets of
what countries fucked with COVID right now it was India but now is it China again there's like
countries that it's like really bad like people are dying Jacqueline like this is a stupid
problem to bitch about but like I don't know I get annoyed I just don't like
it's like sometimes like neighbors and noise and like it's also my I told you the story about like
a week or so ago about my neighbor that every time she's in her bathroom on the toilet I know
because she like grunts she's like or she does this she sighs every fucking morning she gets up
I think whenever I'm in there around 9 a.m because she kind of sleeps in it's like
and she's like clearly on the toilet taking a shit and it's like that kind of stuff literally
makes me I get like the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I my toes curl under and I get
like so like uncomfortable in my space and I just like hate I need to move out no I love I love my
place but like sometimes it gets to me anyway so I have this lip blister um I got it the day I left
for um Washington so like a week ago and it won't go away it's one of those blisters it's like
cancer no it's like I need chemotherapy to get rid of it no I need like it's like this I swear
this happens every June every June since I've been a little girl I get this stupid blister on
my lip it's always on my upper lip and it's kind of bubbly like there's like multiple little bubbles
and then they crust over and then it looks like I have a big cut or something and then I'm just
at the stage of like it's almost gone but it's still really red and scabby and I'm just like
I can't I just I want to look good this weekend and I gotta I'm gonna have the stupid fucking
blister so yeah that's a current problem I'm having again this is an episode where I'm like
did I already say this okay so like I get in my head I'm like wait a minute Jocelyn you're just
wasting people's time you're complaining you're putting negative energy out there into the world
you're talking about problems like nobody wants to hear this shit but like I don't know sometimes
I feel like bitching is entertainment and like hearing someone bitch and complain is an
entertainment and it's fun and it's therapeutic like to hear it to hear someone complain sometimes
is nice and I shouldn't second guess this I should just embrace it but I'm having one of those like
complaining days and I know that a hater out there would be like dude this is such a waste of space
on the internet and you're just like polluting people's minds with your own personal problems
that are so stupid anyways um so what was I going to mention okay I did like a stupid favorites and
then I talked about cleaning products and then I talked about neighbors or like how I'm cold and
hungry and I walked 20,000 steps and I talked about my chapped lip and then I talked about my neighbors
um I don't know I feel like I'm I had a productive day oh I talked about like work and like having
boundaries with responding to messages and stuff because I used to work for a startup company and
it was literally like you and my job like I was literally I literally had to be available 24 hours
a day legit like it like I consider the well like driving to Los Angeles California at like 11 30
p.m. and then like having to turn around at 2 a.m. type shit like just like okay yeah let's go and
it's like no I had like zero like say in anything I was just like okay whatever I'm doing this I
have to go along and it was like part of the whole gig and I don't know it was stupid well
it wasn't stupid it was a good experience I look I have fond memories of that I have fond memories
and terrible memories combined and I feel like a lot of people have those relationships with
um, people in their life where it's like so many highs and so many lows. Um, anyways,
Jimmy's got a real problem with paper towels. I'm, I'm at this stage with my puppy right now where
I'm absolutely shutting down every bad habit he has. And I'm cutting, like I'm stopping him as
soon as I see him jump on a counter to a paper towel grab a shoe grab a sock anything where it's
like he's misbehaving is that the word is that a word misbehaving yeah misbehave I'm calling it out
immediately because I'm really I'm just I'm noticing that the older he gets the more he gets
like more independent and he doesn't like pay he doesn't listen as well as when he was like a
little puppy I could stop him easier and now it's just like he'll try to test the water with me and
get it and see what he can get get away with so anyways I'm currently working on like anytime he
jumps up on me I'm pushing he's getting off I'm telling him off anytime he's on the counter off
and then what I do is I do like okay instead of chewing the shoe here's your little toy llama
here's your ducky here's your little piglet chew that toy so I like offer something up to him that's
a replacement for the shoe or the sock or whatever that he was chewing but the paper towel situation
is really bad like I was scrubbing my shower tiles earlier and I was like where are my paper
because like as I scrub them or after I scrub them and rinse my shower I wipe down the entire
thing with a paper towel to get like all of the film film off so anyways I'm like done with the
rinsing and the scrubbing and I go to get my paper towels I'm like I swear they were just
right there next thing I know it looks like a blizzard in my fucking living room and there
was like a hundred thousand pieces of paper towels everywhere and he was chewing and this
was a fresh bounty extra strength family size pack like from Costco paper towel roll I had just
whipped out to clean my bathroom with and it was completely destroyed and he had like a big
chunk like half he like bit it in half destroyed half the roll and then was chewing on the other
half and anyways like the paper he is anytime he sees me use a paper towel he tries to get it from
me if I set it on the counter he'll jump up and try to get it it's obnoxious so yeah anyways um
dude I kind of feel like I need to wrap this podcast up um like I didn't really I was gonna
my plan today honestly was to show up with notes and talk about current events and talk about news
and stuff because I haven't been plugged in really like I haven't been talking about that kind of
stuff in a while on the show so but it was kind of a flop I just went on different tangents about
whatever came to mind and it is what it is like I feel I do feel like at this stage of podcasting
every single day for a year I'm in the home stretch where I'm like I kind of can't wait for
this to be over like I love podcast like I shouldn't say that like I really at my at my
heart and soul at my core I'm like I love podcasting this is my passion but a piece of me
like dude you're not like seven days a week is a lot and you're not feeling inspired creatively
every single day and you're like busy with other stuff now like here's the thing it was easy when
it was 2020 and I had nothing going on well Jacqueline's got a lot going on now and a lot
there I have a lot more distractions in my life now and a lot more activities and
like excursions and people and everything and so it's like sometimes at the end of the day I'm like
oh my god I still have a podcast to make and it's like I'm so spent and that's why I love it and I
think doing it once or twice a week would be ideal for my new lifestyle my new busy lifestyle because
I'm finally getting um involved in the world again after 2020 so I don't know I I try to
here's the thing I try to like I don't put too much pressure on the content to be honest but um
I feel like I used to be so much more like just like giddy and like crazy and like I don't even
know I used to get so like I used to be on one every episode and I miss it so whatever maybe
you know what this week will pass I'm coming off of a weird podcast marathon of doing like
five in a row to catch up I've just traveled home I'm busy with work stuff um you know like
maybe Monday it'll be a new week and I'll be re-inspired I don't know I'm just not very
disciplined about sitting down with myself and like taking notes and like writing out the show
like I just don't do that it's always off the top of my head now like I I used to take notes for
every episode and I literally couldn't give a shit now like I literally don't that's so bad to
so bad to say I think I'm better though like when I don't have a plan I feel like
it's more enjoyable than having to stick to a script or like I don't know I used to here's
a difference is I used to write all the time like anytime I thought of something an idea
a topic for the show something I observed in public or like something I saw you know
like Jimmy do or whatever it was I would write it down on a note my phone and I have a whole
list I think I have like a hundred notes I think I did it for like the first hundred episodes
like they're all numbered and then if I go to those notes in my phone it's like a whole
list of shit I talked about during that during that episode so I don't know I'm out of that
habit I feel like that would be a good habit to get back into but again I'm just like nah
that's so bad I'm such a lazy fuck I'm so lazy sometimes like here's the thing I'm not lazy
because I make a podcast every day, but I'm lazy about the content. I'd rather just talk about
mindless bullshit that happened during the day, like walking 20,000 steps and enjoying Febreze
linen spray. Take notes. I don't know. Jimmy broke a bowl, by the way. I've had
um, this same salad bowl that I use for dinner, like almost every night. I've had it for like
two years now since I moved to my own apartment. Um, and anyways, I used it as, I used it as his,
used it, used it as his water bowl for whatever reason. After I broke down his crate, I like,
just, whatever, I, it was sitting in the kitchen, and it was full of water, and today he jumped up
on me, and I pushed him down, and then his paw hit the bowl, and it shattered, and it was like,
oh, damn it, now I don't have my favorite salad bowl, so I have to get a new one, but here's the
thing, I'm proud of, like, I'm not tooting my own horn, like, I feel like I'm, okay, I can be proud
of myself I can be happy about my response to this and my parenting skills I should hype myself
up right now and be proud of this literally the instant it happened the very instant he's freaking
out broken glass he looks terrified and I immediately my immediate response and this is
what I'm proud of was it's okay buddy it's okay accidents happen you're okay everything's okay
like I'll and I just grabbed the pieces the big chunks threw him away and I went and pet him I
petted him and calmed him down because he was really because it was a loud uh cracking noise
right and that he doesn't like loud noises and stuff but like anytime he's broken something or
ruined something like that on an app like as an accident because it was an accident what am I
saying what's the sentence anytime he had an accident and broke something I just tell like
I'm nice to him I treat him really kindly and sweetly because he he's scared and he's freaked
out by it and I don't know I don't think it's good to yell at them in those situations like
I don't know my mom always said that she's like you guys would spill milk you'd pour your milk
into your cereal when you're a little and the whole entire carton would go all over the table
she's like I never yelled at you for that stuff it was an accident I think that's a difference
like parents that yell at their kids when they, when they do complete accidents or when they make
like a mess that's not on purpose. I don't think that's good. That's just not it. Cause then the
kids like, I didn't mean to do it. Now I'm in trouble. What the fuck? I don't know. I just
always grew up hearing accidents happen. It's okay. We'll clean it. My mom always said like,
we can always clean it up or like shit's replaceable. You know what I mean? Like you
can always replace stuff it's not a big deal and I appreciate that both my parents were that way
but anyways the salad bowl's gotta get replaced now yeah I have a whole I could do an entire
podcast about how I don't use plates like I don't own plates I have a theory about plates or like
I have a yeah like I don't eat dinner on a plate ever I don't eat breakfast on a plate ever
I do have if I should I save this for a different podcast or should I talk about it
I need a dip of even if it's I have this plate that's a like it's a bowl plate if that makes
sense like it's it's slightly dipped where you could like it's like good for pasta or whatever
where you can like it like won't fall off the side I don't know what it is but like flat plates
aren't it unless I'm at a restaurant or if I'm at someone's house and they're making me dinner
I'll eat off the plate but like I don't like them I like things in a bowl I like bowls for most of
food like most of the food I make I like I like it together in a bowl versus like separated on
the plate I like I don't oh my god oh my god this is the worst thing this is the worst thing
fuck a side salad okay like literally think of a plate this is so like specific and maybe weird
or whatever I don't know if anyone else out there is like this too but like okay I cannot stand
so you have a plate a round plate and let's say you have a protein like you have some
grilled chicken or a little piece of steak or salmon right let's let's build a plate yeah
got your protein and then you have Jimmy that's a metal scrubber for the kitchen how did you get
that play with your pig please thank you yeah good he switched he switched to the right toy
how the hell did he get that scrubber for my pots and pans it's like he got inside of the sink like
he jumped in it to get that I don't know how he reached it anyways so you have your protein and
then you have like maybe some rice or sweet potato or something like your carb or whatever
some little like starchy thing on the side in a little pile the worst thing ever and I feel like
it is so unnecessary and just just do not ever put this on my plate ever is a leafy
side salad with maybe like a couple chopped like carrots or tomatoes or something and like a light
vinaigrette like a little pile of leaves I can't like I don't know what it is there's nothing worse
to me than stabbing leaves in a little pile like that on a plate do asparagus grilled do broccoli
do a cruciferous vegetable, something that's hot and steamy and grilled and charred and baked or
something like a, do not, don't ever do a little side salad. I can't. I just like something about
that doesn't work for me. I know that's really specific. That's why I'm like, okay, I'd rather
eat a salad in a bowl, but the, oh my God, that's what it is. If you're going to have salad in a
protein put it in a bowl make a salad in the bowl and then put the protein on top and eat it like a
salad when it's separated like that and you have a tiny bitch little like stupid little fucking
side salad that's like flimsy why is it there it's literally like oh I want something green
on my plate I want something healthy it's like no at that point I don't know if it's on it dude
just, like, you need a cooked vegetable instead, then don't ever do a side salad on a plate
with me. I'll cut you. That's a red flag. If you eat that regular, if you eat a side salad on a
plate, DM me. Explain it to me. What the fuck? I feel like it reminds me of going to my
grandma's house, because we would always have, like, a salad or something. I don't know,
and it was always, like, it wasn't, it wasn't, it was never good, I don't know, or, like, a barbecue,
and I would just put it on my little styrofoam plate, and I would, like, it would just, it just
sucked, it just doesn't work, if I'm gonna eat a salad, I want a full fucking bowl of salad
with the protein on top, so, yeah, um, can I even explain
why okay the bull thing in detail enough I don't know dude I'm starving I I walked 20,000 steps
I've been eating since like noon I gotta shower I gotta chill I gotta upload this podcast
something I like doing on my walk by the way um
is where I wear one of those waist things that makes you like kind of sweat harder or whatever
it's not like a waist trainer that makes your waist smaller it doesn't like actually make
it's just a velcro thing but I like how it feels when I walk and I feel like it helps me
I like stand up straighter when I wear it or something like I feel like it's a good
back support thing when you walk I don't know if like I like it because it feels good and I feel
like it makes you kind of snatched like if you're like because you sweat like it makes your waist
sweat and so if you have like water weight it like snatches you up I don't know I'm wearing it so
that's why I thought of mentioning it um Jacqueline on the episode this was such a fuck like if this
was such a wow we what did I even talk about like what was that tangent about side salads
on a plate I have quirks I have quirks I have things that piss me off I have things that just
like annoy me and I don't understand why people do them and I think we're all individuals we're
all different we all like or we all like things a certain way sometimes and I have
problems honestly I don't know okay I gotta I gotta end this Jimmy's back to the little
metal scrubber instead of his pig he's back to chewing that up that's terrible it's gonna give
him a disease I don't know like the metal in the mouth is like hey kid that's what it feels like
to have braces we're gonna have to brush his teeth teeth after this dude Jimmy get your duck
get your duck I want him to know when I say duck or pig or llama like I want him to know which toy
to pick up I'm starting to build him a little animal farm little toy farm I thought of getting
the same llama but getting like 15 of them so we had a little llama herd I don't know they're so
cute these these llama toys I got or I got a llama stuffed animal on Amazon that's cute as shit
and I want a bunch of them okay thank you for hanging out this has been episode 272
272 days of podcasting holy shit thank you for being here hit that subscribe button I'm here
seven days a week. Hope you had a great day and I will talk to you tomorrow. Okay, bye.
