Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey guys, it's episode 282. Welcome back to the show. that's the kind of energy. That's the kind of energy I'm bringing today. That's what's happening. Um, strap in. She's tired. Okay. But I got, but I have a story to tell on this episode. I have a story to tell. My eyes are closed right now. I'm so tired. I feel like I'm in slow motion. I feel like I'm lagging. I'm lagging, lagging. I'm delaying. Anyways, who cares? Nobody wants to hear this, Jacqueline. Just enter the podcast, tell the story. Hi, it's Jacqueline. Welcome back to the show. Thanks for being here. Hit that subscribe button. I'm here seven days a week. This podcast of mine is basically an audio vlog. Instead of video,
Starting point is 00:01:15 it's audio. So I basically take you through my day, talk to you about my life, bring you in behind the scenes as a solo podcast host, like a YouTube vlogger. It's like the same thing, just audio something like that I don't know um so yeah if you want to hang out with someone on a daily basis on the internet here I am subscribe how enticing was that Jesus Christ I'm gonna open my window people watch pep me up the sun oh my god sorry big yawn the sun is setting I'm hit I'm hitting uh rock bottom of the day or whatever it's called I'm like do you ever end a day a work day and then it's like 5 p.m and you're on your you just you want to take a nap on your
Starting point is 00:02:12 bed for two hours but it's like oh it's five I shouldn't do that before like I should be productive I should go work out I should you know but I'm I'm having a day where I just want to lay on my bed and nap around after and yeah and now I'm podcasting and this is probably a bad time to do it but anyways I have a story I have a story let me cut to the chase I have a story to tell about the couch the final this is the final episode this is a three-part series what am I saying this is the final couch update episode yeah season one episode three something like that I don't know how does it work on Netflix is that how they is that how they do it basically the update is this the couch is gone
Starting point is 00:03:05 the couch is gone I sold the couch now you might be wondering what are you talking about what's this couch go listen to I think it was the first episode if you scroll back on my list of shows is called the impossible couch so go listen that episode for context and the backstory um but I'll say this like I was I've been looking for a couch since November it's been on my radar and I finally pulled the trigger I finally got one that I really loved and it didn't fit through my door so I had to resell it that's kind of the gist of the story anyways it's gone now but um here's how it went down I have a second podcast a second couch update and that that episode is called couch update where I told you about the pregnant lady on the phone
Starting point is 00:03:59 and what she did to me or it's not like she did anything to me she just wasted my time but I told that story and so this the part three is uh it was flawless other than the fact that I had to hold the couch for multiple days because there's there's there was this issue with a delivery service the girl who bought it was using and anyway so god I just feel like this is so boring Jacqueline you talk about current events go talk about uh talk about China talk about Joe Biden talk about Israel talk about the fights that have been going on and contribute to those conversations don't talk about selling a fucking couch like I don't know and I'm tired I'm like this is like not a fun I don't know
Starting point is 00:04:49 this is a fun thing to listen to maybe basically a really nice girl uh offered to buy my couch and her and her mom came over to check it first so they came and made sure they wanted to get it they wanted to inspect it before they said yes basically so they came over they were really sweet yeah I was just like walking Jimmy and they came over to my place and we chit-chatted for a little bit I guess she was moving into a new apartment and they had gone to the store where this particular couch was at and they had sat in it before they knew that this is the one they wanted so that was kind of nice. Basically they said, yes. Okay. Woo. We're going to get, um, we're going to order a lug. A lug is a lug is an app where you can hire delivery people to haul furniture
Starting point is 00:05:46 for you and stuff. So I said, great. Okay. I'll hold it overnight. No big deal. And then she was really communicative on the, on the messaging section of the app. I used offer up to sell this and she was giving me all the details about pickup time and the lug drivers and everything right it was great on the next so the next day uh she's like oh they should be there at one and then she like even came close by to my house and sat at a coffee shop to wait for the drivers and I think she waited until like 4 p.m and they never showed up so then she canceled that and then had to like reschedule a different delivery service called dolly I believe for the next day so
Starting point is 00:06:32 I'm so in my head right now about this episode I'm like fucking delete it go to bed do this tomorrow like Jacqueline drink some coffee I don't even know I'm that's what I'm you know what it is oh my gosh Jacqueline just figured I just figured it out I've been cutting myself off at noon with coffee which is turning me into a zombie like I am right now and I'm not used to it and I feel like that's what is happening because normally I have like way too much caffeine in the morning right I'll drink it up till noon sip on coffee all morning I won't eat anything it's terrible, I know, and then I'll, like, 3 p.m. will hit, and I'll be, like, great, I have stuff I want to do this evening, like, if I have to run errands, or if I want to go on another walk with my dog, or
Starting point is 00:07:31 work out, so then I'll have another coffee, and so I'm in this vicious cycle, so lately I've been cutting myself off at noon and now, now I'm just like, anyways, um, trying to tell the most interesting story about selling a couch. And I, I literally fucking hate myself for wasting your time like this. If you're still listening, is anyone even here right now? Is anyone listening? Like I'm, I'm, this is a time waster episode. I know it is, but I got to get it done because I made a commitment to podcast every day basically the next day oh yeah I was painting my nails when they showed up and I didn't have any pants on okay so the next day
Starting point is 00:08:19 the the couch was picked up for by the dolly officially it was officially gone but it took until it was like 3 or 4 p.m so it took like all day again um for it to finally happen And then I did something kind of bad. Well, she said, enjoy your Sunday. Like, Hey, you don't have to be here for the pickup. Like I'll be there. I'll show up for, for the, um, with the dolly drivers. Like you don't have to be there. So enjoy your Sunday. So I took that as I'm not going out. Like I told her, I said, Oh, I'll be out of the house. I won't be home when they show up. I did a little lie. I'm not proud of it because I was like getting myself, I was, I was having like a self-care day. Um, you know, my, I was in a bathrobe and I think when they got here,
Starting point is 00:09:14 I remember hearing a truck pull up and I had my ring light over my toes and I was painting my nails and I was like, I'm not going outside. I'm not going to go, like, there's no reason for me to be out there. They're going to pick up the couch, put it in the truck. She's going to pay me for the couch. It's done. It's quick. It's easy. It's not like you need to be like hands-on like, oh my gosh. Okay. Hi. Yeah. This is the couch. Yep. Yep. Yep. Okay. So yeah, just like be careful with the corners and you don't want to bump it. Well, it's like, they know what they're doing. It's their job. Like they're deliver, they're a furniture deliver, delivery service. So yeah that's about it um i had a few days there of sleeping with one eye open because that couch was
Starting point is 00:09:56 outside uh that that couch i i had i think i had to like leave it outside overnight for like five days it was all wrapped up and covered but i was always like every night i was paranoid i was like so what if someone messes with this or rains or what if someone steals it and then shit then i'm like out for so much money i'm like great i was like i don't want to lose this and i actually i actually got more for it than what i paid at the end of the day by a little bit so yeah i don't know i haven't really updated you guys let's just uh and that story i haven't really told you guys much much lately about the behind the scenes of my life and what's going on I feel like I haven't mentioned things or I don't know like I haven't really told like I I used to give you every little
Starting point is 00:10:56 detail about my day and lately I haven't so um that's why I've been telling that couch story I'm like well that's something I can you know tell you guys like as it happens and now it's done and I guess um things are great right now I'm in this amazing place in life for real where I'm like oh my gosh all the stars are aligning and to the point where I'm noticing that the podcast has been it okay it was definitely easier easier to podcast in 2020 and when I didn't have a lot going on compared to how like compared to now now I'm like I'm living how I want to be living and I'm kind of stretched thin and so the podcast is just not easy to get done like it used to be not that it's hard to make a pod I always say that like podcasting
Starting point is 00:11:55 podcasting is the easiest thing I've ever done um I I literally press record talk post it's so mindless it's so brain I don't even have to like I don't ride out in it as you can tell she doesn't prepare uh she doesn't show up on time at a nice time when she has energy like the morning maybe instead of at night time when she's groggy and tired and loopy like I just do it whenever and you get kind of a little bit of everything for me in that way because of that in that way because of that um but yeah lately it's just been a challenge because I don't know the world is opening back up and Jacqueline is venturing out which is what I wanted to do I always said that I'm like 2021 is the year of Jacqueline getting her butt out of the house socializing like a
Starting point is 00:12:46 normal person again and like having a good time so um yeah things are good I really want to have a rock star week um especially with sleep and stuff and I want to continue my caffeine thing I think I think it's gonna pay off in the long run but I have to like get through I don't know like a week or two of it for me to feel leveled out and like normal like my I need my energy to like be backed honestly I should just quit cold turkey and and um I should do like you know what I did when I went vegan I quit drinking coffee for six months and I only ate like fruit because I got sucked into all that uh vegan propaganda back in what year was that like 20 2014 20 ish um but I had the most I had the most insane energy from just eating fruit obviously it was like
Starting point is 00:13:42 I was definitely like cleansing my body obviously like fruits amazing for that but I don't have any desire in my body right now to just like go do something extreme like that for the sake of trying to get off coffee and having and having more energy like I don't know to me it's like okay Jacqueline just cut back and then sleep more and I think that's what I'm going to trying to master this week um especially with the sleep getting to bed at my 10 30 time um but yeah anyways I really want to end this I don't want to waste any I I know it's bad to say I know I know I shouldn't volunteer on this unnecessary information and put this into the listeners heads but like I'm done wasting your time I don't want to continue talking and sucking your life away so
Starting point is 00:14:30 I'm going to end it. Thanks for hanging out. Honestly, I do love podcasting and it's always fun, but this was kind of a dud. So, but I had to do it. I had to do it. And that's what I guess in summary or a little takeaway, a little golden nugget for me is that if you're waiting for it to be if you're waiting to be ready you'll be waiting for the rest of your life or if you're if you don't post something until it's perfect or if you don't like content wise if you're a content creator if you don't post something unless it's perfect like you're just shooting yourself in the foot you have to get you I feel like this is this daily podcast podcasting thing is forcing me to post junk and say fuck and I have to just say fuck it because some I think it's
Starting point is 00:15:27 it's like I know people say well quality over quantity Jacqueline like don't give them seven episodes we give them one quality episode I know I know I know that's not what I'm doing here because I'm I'm a former like I used to be such a perfectionist or such a like in a harsh critic of myself to the point of like I was paralyzed I would never I would never start because I was just I was so paralyzed where now I'm starting ever I'm always starting I'm always doing I'm always executing I'm always posting I'm always just putting something out there and moving moving the needle forward for myself and the show and it's kind of what you have to do I think the more you overthink it and try to make it perfect the worse it sounds
Starting point is 00:16:13 so yeah maybe y'all are like hey this was kind of nice to hang out with a tired person uh with low energy maybe that was kind of that maybe this was quality maybe this was i can't i can't it's all subjective that's what podcasting is that that's what um i like about the internet it is that you can uh pick and choose who you want to follow listen to watch or whatever and like I'm not for everyone like people will find me that like me and they'll hang out with me on my show and they're gonna vibe with it and they'll be into it and there's people that'll be like what the fuck you know they're like I'm not about it and that's okay like there's um that's fine and I think I noticed that with certain shows I listen to there's different energy levels and
Starting point is 00:17:02 and types of, and styles of podcasting that some days I'm tuning into, uh, what's his face? Bill Byrne. He's ranting all, all, all podcasts long. And some days I'm tuning into the skinny confidential and what's it called? Um, Lauren and Michael's podcast about like snappy wellness, business entrepreneur stuff. And it's really like, like the energy's there and the conversation's really sophisticated and i'm like oh and then i'm listening to maybe like uh what's it called real real af with andy forcilla forcilla forcilla with with all his guys and that's really intense too and higher high energy and then sometimes i'm listening to ben shapiro bitch about society and the government and that's a different type of
Starting point is 00:17:53 energy, and sometimes I'm listening to, God, I mean, I don't even know, who else do I listen to? Sophia with an F, and that's just kind of like a hangout session, and she's got interesting people that she interviews, and fun topics, or Nick Vile, like, I like listening to his show sometimes. Vile, is that how you say it? I'm literally just blabbing right now. I'm trying to make, I'm trying to say like hey you know what some just there's different flavors and swirl needs all flavors this world if in order for this world to be full and whole there needs to be a little bit of everything and there's a place for all of us even the tired ones like me I'm actually so tired okay love you thanks for hanging out hit that subscribe button I'm here
Starting point is 00:18:44 seven days a week hope you had a great day wear wear your sunscreen that's gonna be my new phrase for the summer, wear your sunscreen. Uh, what did I say the other day? I think I ended the show saying, wear your sunscreen and do it, do it for all the people that came before us and died of skin cancer. I said something weird like that. I'm like, anyways, um, but yeah, wear it, slather it on your shoulders, your nose, put it everywhere. Even if you think you don't need it, like, come on those that that sun is so bad I mean guys it's like for especially especially for wrinkles like I wear sunscreen the it's the first step of my it's the first thing I do in the morning I wash my face and I do brush my teeth wash my face and I do sunscreen immediately even if I'm just sitting
Starting point is 00:19:37 in my apartment because then as soon as I go outside or as soon as I sit by a window that sun is doing stuff to my face and it's crusting, it's crusting it up. Dude, age, aging. What did I tweet one time? I said, age is just how, age is just how crispy you are from going around the sun like a rotisserie chicken. I think I tweeted that a long time ago. we're little rotisserie chickens revolving around the sun slowly we're slowly aging and turning more crunchy and crusty and wrinkly like a chicken that's a good analogy isn't it right did that paint a picture it's kind of sad when you walk into a grocery store and you see that rotisserie chicken
Starting point is 00:20:31 oven sometimes they're really big I don't like to think too hard about that here I did mention I was vegan at one point on this podcast or today but it's weird how my mind is now I'm like I eat chicken again I'm eating chicken again and it also still bothers me but like I don't know anyways hey Jacqueline go to bed I gotta walk my dog first though one of them days um for real I'm ending it. Have a great day. Wear your sunscreen. Hit that subscribe button and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Okay, bye.
