Hello, hello, hello. Welcome back to the podcast. Happy Sunday. I'm sitting here in my kitchen.
I just walked in the door full of energy from my McDonald's iced coffee. I want to tell
a little story about why I ended up in the McDonald's drive-thru today instead of my
regular coffee spot. In fact, I have a lot to say today. I realized that this podcast
is going to be hard for me to come up with material for if I do it every day and you're
only going to be updated on the last 24 hours. So what I did is I put a bunch of stuff on a sticky
notes. I have six, six, six sticky notes in front of me. They're really cute. They're orange. And
I also have my 264 page document of writing I've done over the last, like, I think eight years,
I've put it all together. I've, I have a lot to, why am I even telling you all this? Basically,
I put a lot of material in front of me today to talk about if I need to come up with different
topics and ideas, uh, because I feel like my life is not interesting.
And every day is going to be pretty dry.
If I just tell you like, Oh, life update.
Well, today was the exact same as yesterday and the day before and the day before.
So, um, I'll start out with, and on top of that, I feel like I have to perform and be
on this whole time.
So no one dips out and gets bored.
so um here let me drink some more coffee get the energy up this mcdonald's iced coffee is hitting
so different it's it's there's something about it i can't really put my finger on i i got a large
iced black coffee i always whenever i'm in the mcdonald's drive-thru and i order coffee because
i don't like to get the sugar and the creamer in it i feel like i have to repeat myself like
three or four times that i i'm like you know hi welcome mcdonald's what can i get for you i'm
like hi I'd like an art a large iced coffee then I let them repeat it back to me and I say no sugar
no creamer just black and I repeat that and then I make sure that they repeat that back to me
because the amount of times that I've f that up and then I and then I get it and I take a sip and
it's it's like liquid sugar I just personally love the bitter taste of coffee it's not about
I don't want sugar it's just like I like black coffee and so anyways I'm drinking this black
iced coffee from McDonald's I swear to god the last three podcasts have only been about fucking
coffee and here I am sorry mom for swearing uh here I am still talking about it but I want to
I want to tell a little story time so uh I went to the gym this morning uh oh my gosh I even I
should have wrote this on my sticky note before the gym so I had a really I had my first paranormal
experience in my apartment this morning paranormal like I heard a voice and I want to talk about that
Let me write that down on my sticky note. I want to tell my coffee story so I can get that out of
the way. I know I feel like, okay. Okay. So I'm writing paranormal, paranormal. I'm all over the
place. Sorry. This is what caffeine does to me. And I'm sitting down. I should have seat belted
myself to my chair because I'm sitting down in hopes that it will, my energy and my, my speed
I'm talking will calm down. Okay. Let me take a deep breath. Okay. Jacqueline, you don't have to
perform for a bunch of two-year-olds I'm talking to adults they can handle a calm disposition
okay sorry I'm winding myself down so I wrote paranormal experience this morning but I want
to get my coffee story out of the way and then I'll talk about that and then I'll kind of walk
you through what's happened over the last 24 hours um okay so I usually go through this
so I went to the gym this morning after the gym, I really wanted a nice coffee. So
I went to my usual stop. Um, I don't want to tell you guys the name of it. It's very close
to where I live, but I, it's a drive through coffee place. And, um, I'm always the asshole
that it's a, it's a drive through. So there's a line and I, I always go in backwards and I have
to do I turn around I do a little u-turn in the parking lot and I always laugh the guy that works
there we always joke about it but I feel like if I work there I would be so annoyed by customers
that do that and I'm always that asshole that does that because of the way I have to drive there
it's just otherwise here's what I have to deal with I'd have to drive down the street
go and do I'd have to basically do a five minute detour to try to get in the line at the coffee
shop or I could just do the way I do it so whatever I'm oh my god I already feel like
scrapping this episode because I'm five minutes in and I'm and I'm not liking how I'm telling
stories and talking okay here's what happened I drive in backwards I do my u-turn and I sit there
and there's like six cars in line and I keep seeing new cars get in line and they're you
know they're doing it right and I'm the one that would have to wedge myself in and cut one of them
off. And I kept seeing cars roll up. And after about 15 minutes, I was like, fuck this. And I'm
on my Google maps looking at drive-through Starbucks locations. One of them I put in my
GPS was 14 minutes away. And I was on my way there. And then I was like, Jacqueline, you are
being so ridiculous. You're about to get on the freeway right now because you weren't willing to
go in that original coffee shop line appropriately and correctly. So now you're going to get on the
freeway and go to a drive-thru Starbucks 14 minutes away to get iced coffee. Oh, and the
reason why, oh my gosh, I didn't even tell you guys this. The reason why I was desperate to
go in line and sit at a coffee shop and everything is because I don't have any coffee at home right
now. Completely out of my instant coffee. I only have like a pre-workout, which I took this morning
and I don't want I wanted my coffee here I gotta drink some more right now so anyways
I also didn't want to like walk in somewhere because I'm all sweaty from my workout so
I'm I after 15 minutes at my at that at that coffee shop I pull out and like fuck this I start
going towards the Starbucks 15 minutes away and then in the corner of my eye I see McDonald's
And I'm like, Jacqueline, just get your iced coffee, McDonald's, fuck it.
So then I went to McDonald's and I rolled in there and I got my large iced coffee, which
I'm, okay, now my head kind of hurts.
I'm drinking now.
And, um, yeah, so that's my story.
So then I, then I got all excited.
I was in my cars, uh, sipping my iced coffee, listening to juice world, rest in peace, juice,
juice world.
Um, you know, they were playing a song on the radio and I was like, I'm feeling the
vibes right now I'm not even showered I am still sweaty I walked in the door and first of all my
apartment is pitch it's so dark right now because there's a heat wave and I shut all of my blinds
to keep it cool in here so I'm like in this cave-like situation in my apartment sweaty from
the gym still my sports bra is like concreting itself against my skin from being sticky and
sweaty and I walked in the door it's so hot there's a heat wave uh it's not as bad as LA down
here down here in San Diego but it's still it's still hot and uh I have air conditioning my mom
pointed it out when she visited me but I don't know how to turn it on so I'm using my fan and
willpower to just suck it up and uh be hot today oh my gosh this is a real I am I'm all over the
place I feel like holy shit I need to wow uh I I feel like I just I'm spewing out I'm like
I feel like I'm a pinata that just broke and I just threw a bunch of stuff in your face and you
got hit all it's there's so many conversations and and trains of thought going on right now
I just told you about I went to the oh I I told you about my paranormal experience I'm going to
tell you about very soon I told you that I went to the gym and I went and got coffee and I told
you about how I started driving to Starbucks and I went to McDonald's and then I went home and then
I was gross from the gym but I had all the all this energy from listening to juice world in the
car and drinking iced coffee. And I feel like my, okay. And then now I'm, I just got all this
energy and then I didn't even shower. And I decided to do a podcast right away because I'm
feeling the vibes. And I'll say this too. I know this is a good sign. I need to drink water. Okay.
So Jacqueline's having a fucking heart attack from her coffee right now.
I need to slow down. I need to slow down.
this is how I know I'm passionate as fuck about something. When number one, I have a microphone
getting delivered today from Amazon that I ordered. And I didn't even question or debate
waiting for it to arrive before recording this podcast, because I was so excited to walk in the
door and immediately record my Sunday podcast. Like as soon as I got home, I was so excited.
So that's how I know that this is my passion. This is my calling. Um, I'm so excited about this
and, uh, yeah, so holy shit. I'm drinking water. I'm drinking water. So let me go back to my,
my day. Okay. So now I'm back in my chair. I do think I'm going to get a seatbelt for my chair
when I record a podcast to kind of give me that sense of like it if I had something physically
restricting my body and holding me back I think it would keep my the speed of my voice at a calmer
pace and no I will not cut off my caffeine intake before because I rely on it and um I am
addicted and I love it. And it's, it's my, it's, it's my, it's a, it's on brand. Okay. I'm trying
to like stay, I'm trying to keep a consistent theme with my content right now. And if anything,
it's like every podcast so far has been really iced coffee heavy in what I'm talking about. Like
I just can't shut up about it and whatever. So let me talk about, so I went to the gym,
now I'm home. I'm still not showered. I'm excited to record this podcast, drink a nice coffee. I
just almost had a heart attack and I had to drink water. Um, I got all my sticky notes in front of
me. I am going to be in a good mood and perform as best I can. Um, I hope you're entertained,
but, um, Oh, and the sound quality, I didn't give a shit. I told you earlier, I was so excited to
record this. I said, yeah, I, yeah, I know I got a, yeah, I know. I can't stand the sound of my
vowels. Okay. I literally two trains of thought just collided and now I have to separate them
and get out what I was trying to say. I have a podcast mic coming today. That's like a call
center employee headset. And I could have waited for that to arrive and have better sound quality
for this podcast today, but I I'm too excited. So I didn't also, when I've been listening back
to the podcast. I don't like the sounds of my vowels, like my A's and my, like the, the sound
of my voice. I'm fine with it. Like I'm not, I'm, I'm at the point in my life, like I'm in my mid
twenties. Like I'm, this is me. This is me. I don't, I'm not trying to, I could, I could perform
an act and put on a little bit of a sexier voice for you guys and sound like, hi, oh my God. You
you know, but I can't, it's, I'm just being natural as much as possible. Like I don't want
to, I don't want to judge myself about how my vowels sound, but I'm wondering, I think when I
get a better mic setup, my voice will sound a little better. I don't know. And I know it's
very, I feel like I, I sound like a mouth breather too. When I was listening to the last episode,
uh, I feel like I was breathing heavy the whole time. And I was also, uh, freshly rolled out of
bed. And, uh, I just, this literally is a iPhone headphone microphone. So whatever.
Okay. Let me tell you about my paranormal paranormal experience this morning. And I'm
not bullshitting around. I know a lot of people talk about, I want to keep this short and sweet
because I know it's annoying when people talk about their dreams and, uh, hearing a voice or
seeing a ghost or whatever, but this is my, this is my experience this morning. This is what
happened. So, uh, I, I was having a very vivid dream right before I woke up where I was on my
mom's Facebook and I was looking at a picture of my great grandma who has passed away now.
And I'm on, I'm on her profile and I see a picture of my grandma, no bullshit right before I opened
my eyes or the reason I opened my eyes this morning was because I heard in her voice I heard
a grunt like a grunt like a like I can't do it it was like a it was like a grunt
and I felt air on my fucking face and I'm not bullshitting like I know this is the thing I
went back to my um my whoop strap I wear that tells me about my REM sleep and my deep sleep
and everything and I checked at what point I was in REM and I was in REM I'm usually in REM right
before I wake up so it makes sense if I was seeing things but yeah it was so weird and I my heart I
had heart palpitations I jumped I mean that's how I woke up I was like what the hell did I just hear
and it was such a vivid dream I'm on my mom's Facebook I don't even know why seeing a picture
my great grandma who's passed away and yeah and I'm immediately like looking under my bed and I
get my fucking flashlight out on my iPhone and I'm I'm just like paranoid and then I was like did I
just have like an air pocket in my cheek that sounded like a fart like a grunt like a you know
what I mean like I rolled over in the corner of my mouth made a sound but I don't know whatever
so that happened this morning um again I want to keep that short and sweet I think people's ghost
stories are annoying but um I don't know what to make of that it was it was weird um so yeah let
me go back to my little sticky notes here um yep I wrote it's hot as fuck out so that's on the
sticky note California's having a heat wave um like I said I'm in my little cave right now I
keep all my blinds and everything shut to keep the heat out um oh yeah I feel like at some point
in each episode so far, I've riffed on a topic that's more like, I don't know, deep and more
introspective and, and like, I don't know, it's not, it's not me trying to be funny or entertaining
or just updating about my life. Um, so let me see if I want to dive into this information overload
topic just yet. Um, Oh, Jacqueline cover your Sunday routine. Okay. I could talk about that.
Um, future boyfriend will know all of the details of your life because of the podcast. That's on a
fucking sticky note. I wrote that. So I'm at this point now where I'm realizing that if people
consistently listen to my podcast, they're going to know me better than like anyone else. And I
know how that is because of the people that I personally listen to. I literally, because the,
because they do a podcast weekly or daily, I know so many details. And I'm at the point now where
that's a good thing and a bad thing I don't know I mean I'm an open book I I feel like I don't care
I really don't care I think it's totally like therapeutic and fun to talk about stuff and share
it with the world um and be a light in people's lives you know what I mean like I don't know if
anyone I know what it's like to look forward to a new episode of a podcast and maybe that
podcast see there's my vowels I don't know if I like that podcast uh so and I have the
I have the ambition I have the drive I have the desire and I like I said earlier
I know I've found what I was like called to do and this is so this is such a
uh I don't know if this is too early to say but the feeling I get before recording a podcast and
the feeling I get after is so I can't even put my finger on it it is like I get so excited and
I'm so happy so um as long as that sustains itself then I think this shit's not going away
and people are going to know every single fucking detail of my life eventually. And
I wrote on my sticky note that my future boyfriend's going to have, he's going to know
everything. And I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm cool with that because you can do your little research
beforehand. And then if you, if you're feeling me, if you like my vibe and my personality from
what you listen to, then I think that's cool. I think that's what I like. I'm pro. I'm totally
pro like getting to know someone online first before you meet them I think I don't know I just
like I like when people have a lot out there you can stalk and you can figure out about them and
then you really like them and you're like oh my gosh I really like them because you already know
their personality from like 50 episodes of podcasts you listen to and you you know you
followed them for a long, a long time. And I don't know. So that's when I'm, this is a little bit of
a, you know, a little life diary for me talking about, uh, you know, every day what I'm going
through. And it's also for my dating, dating life. So, uh, wow. That shit's dumb online dating. I
mean I just totally I fell off the wagon this year I'm pretty sure like so many people did in
their their dating life but uh I'm I told my mom this I'm like I just want to find the the male
version of myself I'm like that is my like it's it's tough I think I'm not I'm not looking for
anything right now you know I'm totally the type of person that's like if it goes in front of my
face and it walks in front of me and it's the right time and the right or it's the right person
the right time and everything then I'm down for it but I am so not in a place right now to date
anyone or I just don't I'm like I'm working on myself I'm going to therapy the first time in my
life I'm you know trying to get my I'm trying to get my mental health back to a good place and
get my, just get everything back in order. And I have no time for, I just don't even want to
date people right now. I don't know. I like looking though. I like browsing. So every now
and then I'll get on the dating apps and I'll, I'll do a little browse. Um, and that's always
entertaining, but hinge band, hinge banned me. I got a band from hinge because I violated the
terms apparently, which is a bunch of bullshit. I think there's something wrong with, um, I I've
heard some other people say that happened to them. So it's annoying cause you have to connect
your Facebook. And I feel like I'm at the point now with hinge where I have to make a whole new
profile to a new Facebook profile to be able to do it again, because the one that's a link to it
is banned. So whatever. Um, okay. So back to me, sticky notes, future husband or future
boyfriend. That's done. Uh, talked about it's hot out. I already said that like five times
on my Sunday, Sunday routine. So typically, um, I'm a little bit like jambled. Oh my gosh. That's
my favorite word jambled. Um, I'm a little bit off on my routine right now, as far as my like
cleaning and laundry and everything. So typically Sunday is my laundry day. Saturday is my deep
cleaning day. So on Saturday I'm for like three hours, I'm detailing my apartment, like every
nook and cranny. And I didn't do that yesterday. Um, it was honestly too, I was just too hot and
sweaty. And I, I barely got any sleep the night before because my brother and I were on the phone
for two and a half hours until like 2 AM. And I ended up taking almost a three hour nap yesterday
and it was so hot out. Um, didn't go to the beach. Like I probably should have slept at the beach.
That would have been so nice. But, um, yeah, so today I usually do laundry, which is probably
not going to happen. Cause I'm not really, I don't really have a lot of laundry right now.
but typically yeah Sunday I do laundry and it's also my nail well I did my nails yesterday but I
do like you know I hate it it's like self-care Sunday so it's like a thing you know what I mean
like start your week off with you know a full body exfoliation do your nails do a face mask
wash your hair, do a hair mask, like wax everything. That's usually Sunday for whatever
reason. It just ends up being like that. At some point in the day, I'll do 50 different
self-care things. Um, I'm feeling it right now. Like I can't wait to do that today because
I'm still sticky and disgusting from the gym. Just looking at the time here.
the last podcast was about an hour and I got some dms that was a couple people said like oh that
went so fast I didn't realize it was an hour or like oh uh that it goes by so fast I got two dms
about that so I don't know I am paranoid though that I need to figure out what my um
once I get my microphone, um, I'm not going to use my app on my, the app on my phone to
record it. Cause I'm paranoid that the storage is going to get too full and then it's going to
cut off and yeah. So I'm like going to keep this within an hour again. Um, okay. When I'm talking
back to my um back to my water i need a drink i feel like i feel like um
when you podcast maybe i just have a lot of saliva in my mouth just naturally uh occurring but
i feel like my mouth gets like bubbly and like it's so annoying to look i don't know i just like
You know, when you go to the dentist or the orthodontist and you spit back into that straw that like gets rid of the excess, like when they clean your teeth and you put your mouth around it, that's what I need for podcasting because I get this extra like luber, like there's like extra saliva going on all the time when I'm talking.
And then it's weird.
Then your mouth is dry at the same time.
So again, just like yesterday talking about my bodily bodily bodily functions, and I think it's
a little bit too much information, but like it's happening right now. Am I dehydrated? Does this
happen? Cause I, my body's trying to, um, if you're dehydrated, you start foaming at the mouth.
I feel like that's a thing. Let me drink more coffee to offset that. Okay. So let me get,
get into the heavy, heavy hitting topic today. Cause I kind of covered my Sunday shit that I've
done. Uh, Oh, I was going to talk about Amazon finds. Yeah. The microphone's coming today. I'm
also getting petroleum jelly for my face. It's called, I found it on Tik TOK. This, this lady
does skincare stuff and there's a, a skincare practice called slugging your face, which is like,
if you imagine the little snail trail or like a slug the slimy shit that you know when it's when
it scurries by when it what am I trying to say when it when you see the little like path it went
on the it's like the term slugging comes from that so you put petroleum jelly on your face
and apparently it's like this it's like the it's better than la mer cream and like it's the best
way to keep your face hydrated. So I got that off Amazon. I got, I got a call center, a headset,
a microphone. The reason I got that, I kind of like, okay, the fucking post I put on Instagram
yesterday of my headset options. I was like, oh yeah, chime in. What one should I get? I mean,
that got like, I mean like 10 likes and no responses. I mean, I don't even care. It's just
for the it's funny to me because all of a sudden I'm taking this seriously like I'm this is it
end all be all Jacqueline's a podcaster she's going she's going to the big leagues with this
she is going all in so I'm posting I'm trying to show my my process I'm trying to show my
um you know the steps because I think I don't know what's going to happen but I always say
like it's fun to look back and go, Oh, look where I was, you know, a year ago. And if I'm posting
about the microphone I'm going to buy, I think it's, it's, it's kind of cool. It's kind of like,
it's kind of sweet. So the thing I'm realizing is I'm probably going to get September under my belt
doing a daily podcast. And then probably next month I'll start uploading to YouTube because
I'm scared right now. I'm scared right now that I'm going to be, if I started filming,
I'd be performing for the camera, which might bring out a better, that might, that actually
might be a good thing. It might bring out a better, um, side of me. Uh, I don't know,
like, cause I'll be, I'll feel like I'm being watched and I, and I mean, listen to, so it'll
be a little more theatrical. I'll probably use better, um, analogies and, and, and adjectives
and I'll get more colorful in the way I'm talking and about everything and maybe I'll
I don't know so the whole point of me getting a microphone is I'm thinking already like what will
this look like on camera and uh I made I made a joke like I want to look like a pop star or like
I I uh want to be mobile like I don't want to be at a stationary microphone the whole time but I
know I'm gonna end up sitting down with my laptop recording this sitting in my seat belted seat
belted chair um shit I do have this off-white strap let me see it's like this belt for the
from off-white that I could like strap around me around my shoulders or something but
I feel like good posture helps your helps your voice sound better
I kind of think I have like a sinus issue because I sound nasally or something like I'm always
uh I don't know like again I'm just I'm self-conscious of my vowels and now that I'm
calling it out I don't want to make you guys hyper aware of it and then you're also annoyed
by my voice and you'll never listen to my podcast again so um shit what was I saying oh my microphone
so I want to look like a pop star but I also I don't want to look so if I get a headset I don't
want to have a bit I don't want to have a big gaming headset because I don't want to like if
someone comes across my video on YouTube of my podcast, I don't want them to be like, Oh, she's
a gamer chick. Like, I don't want to look like a gamer. So that's why I think the smaller, smaller,
uh, like pop star headset is going to be a better look. You know what I mean? Cause I could have my
hair like nice and curled and like, you know, look like a fucking goddess on, on my, on my vid,
on my video. And then, Oh my God, again, I'm so over caffeinated. I'll look like myself on video
with a little pop star mic coming out of my cheek instead of like the full fucking setup um but I
don't think that's gonna happen till next month once I get this kind of in the groove every day
uh shit like I said I don't think I'm gonna do weekends but I'm here it is it's Sunday and I'm
doing this is now my fourth podcast and I got so excited to record it you guys are really honestly
going to feel like you're my best friend after, after like two months. Cause this is like,
I always, okay. Another side tangent. I feel like with people I follow online and that I
haven't met in person or whatever, like, I don't really know how they think. I don't really know
what their personality is. Cause they don't really post videos or, you know, anything of them talking
and sorting things out um and I really wish like everyone did that because I'm I'm greedy in that
way like I want to know like I want to know what you sound like in a conversation like
it's another level like once you start doing that once you start podcasting
um you start to realize that wow okay people are really really gonna fucking get to know you
instead of just the brief stuff you put out. Um, I'm talking about people that mostly post
just pictures. And then if they do videos, they're not even talking in it. A lot of those
people I'm so interested. I'm like, Oh, I think you're interesting, but I want to know more and
please do a podcast. And you know, like, can everyone just do this? Just, it's not a good
word to have in your vocabulary. You're going to get, you guys are going to learn something right
now. Just is a word I'm working on removing. It doesn't sound confident when you overuse the word
just. So little tip of the day, get that word out of your vocab. I don't think I say like a lot
either. Um, I say, um, a lot. Why am I calling attention to the way I'm talking again? This is
so like, this is not even important. I want to get to the heavy, heavy hitting topic today about
information overload. Okay. I'm going to, I'm going to riff on this really quick. 31 minutes
in. I want to keep this. Let's see if I can do this in 10 minutes or less. Um, here's what I,
here's a thought I had um towards the end of last year um I'm gonna stop saying um towards
the end of last year I went dark for like two like okay I'll stop I went dark for a couple months
meaning I didn't really look at social media or post or anything and I was writing a lot and if
I go to my huge document here, my 264 page Google doc, it's literally my life story. It has so much
in there about all my thoughts and all of my, like, what did I write here? I might as well
read a couple of things before I get into this. I'm already getting distracted. I'm the quarterback
of quarantine. That's the line I wrote. I don't even know what I meant. The quarterback of
quarantine. That's a good line. I'm on the quarterback of quarantine. I could have done
like, you couldn't make, you can make like a lot of content around that. Um, but I wrote,
so I'm at all my document here. I wrote all my epiphanies about social media and where I'm at
with, um, with everything. And when I say information overload, obviously we're in
information age. It's all at our fingertips. And, uh, I'm at the point now not to sound like
an asshole, but like, I'm sick and tired of people trying to teach me shit. I'm so sick of people
trying to, and it's not like the intentions are always good. Everything is about helping each
other out learning and growing expanding our minds being the most open-minded woke progressive
individuals we possibly can be because we want to be better humans side note I cannot stand it
when influencers call call their followers hey friends or hey humans my humans like they're
definitely a yogi. They're definitely, um, uh, rich, like van life traveler person. I don't even
know. Um, it's always like friends and humans. I get freaked out by it. I'm like, just, just don't
just, just say, Hey guys, that's just the standard. Just that's the standard. Hey guys is cool.
uh I just I don't know okay I get annoyed by friends and uh humans um did I already forget
what I was talking about did I just do that did I just do that oh information overload overload
so everyone's trying to teach you shit and trying to like when I'm when I'm what I mean by this is
here's my cool it's it's a cliche but like people selling courses for um drop ship drop shipping on
Amazon, people teaching you how to heal your mind and love yourself course for that, or a whole
community for that people. Uh, there's like food communities with people that are obsessed with
keto or people that are obsessed with veganism, or, um, there's all these movements of, and groups
and tribes of people, which is fine. Like Gary Vee was social media. Um, let me think who else
I'm just saying that I'm just so like, I'm at the point now where I've heard it all. I've seen it
all. I've read it all. It's, it's so saturated now with the amount of information here. Here's
what I feel like. I can't, I can't get this train of thought out correctly and how I'm,
how I see it okay when I look at my exposure to social media and online information it's been
since I put it back to 2012 um so it's been is that seven years 20 20 minus okay fuck 12
I'm not actually that stupid yeah so seven years and uh is that eight years oh my gosh is my brain
I don't think I have you guys I can't do math what is 20 minus 12
I didn't go to college
okay 10 minus 2 is 8 oh my fucking god I just exposed myself okay so eight years of social
media. That was rough. That was really rough. Um, I'm not great at math, but that was an easily
easy math equation. I should have been able to easily, easily know, but whatever. Okay. So eight
years, every year it's like, there's a new, a new trend, a new thing everyone's doing. And it's
gotten to the point now over the last eight years where everything's been done. I know everything.
It's like, okay, Jacqueline, if you want to build a business, you know, this is the person you go to
for that course, that information, boom, that person exists. Okay. Jacqueline, you want to,
uh, I don't know, get good at yoga. Boom. There's the community. There's the people. Boom. Jacqueline,
you want to get your mental health, right? Here's your person. Here's the community.
You want to become an entrepreneur. You want to drop ship boom here. So I'm annoyed at this point
with all of these people that are still trying to teach me shit because I already, it's like,
I already know everything. I've seen it all. I've been exposed to it all. So here's where I'm at
with social media. I just want to have fun. I want to have fun. I want to talk about shit. That's,
uh, just like daily life, relatable shit. Uh, that's why I'm doing this podcast.
I don't want to come on here and pretend like I need to teach you guys about self-improvement
self-help and, uh, how to build a business and how to get your finances straight. Like
that information exists. I don't want to add to it. It's too saturated. I just want to be a source
of entertainment, a friend, uh, whatever. Like, I don't, I don't want to be, I don't know. Like,
here's the thing. I don't, I almost, this is fucked up. I almost can't take it seriously
sometimes because I'm like, dude, this is so 2015. Like it, the messages about being an
entrepreneur, building a business in 2020 and, you know, loving yourself and eating healthy and all
that stuff, those messages, it's, it's good that they're, they're, they're always in the cycle of,
of what we're exposed to because it's good. It's good to be reminded, but I get to the point where
I'm like, I don't want to see it. If I want to get down that rabbit hole and build a business,
I'll do it. I'll find you. I'll seek you out, but I don't need your sponsored ad to keep fucking
popping up. And like, I just know all these young kids like, stop, like, don't like the courses have
already been made. You don't need to do it too. Like we need to just choose who those people are
going to be that are spearheading these, these, uh, these tribes of people in these communities,
choose them like boom Gary Vee social media boom you're it like uh Tony Robbins boom you're it like
just those are the people and nobody else can do it and that's the only content we get exposed to
like there needs to be a monopoly on this shit because I'm so like I just can't I I get the
information of overload uh bug thing and I just don't want to I don't want to see it so yeah
that's what this podcast is about. It's about basic, simple, relatable life stuff
through my, through my experience and I'm sharing it with you. And, um, yeah, so that's,
that was a heavy hitting topic. Wow. That wasn't that big of a deal. It was just more of a rant
about, um, people trying to teach me shit. I'm like, dude, just, it's exhausting. Okay. Uh,
here, what else can I talk about? Oh, this is a long, wow. I wrote like a poem on my document
here. I could wrap this up. I think it's 40 minutes. I could keep going. Um, what else did
right on my sticky notes oh I found my oh my gosh so tick tock you know how last podcast I was
talking about we need a solution to the news like what is it because I'm sick of talking about how
corrupt it is I feel like this podcast my voice just got so deep it's like I keep judging my
voice but I can kind of hear it in my headphones and I'm like I just keep sounding worse and worse
and worse so the last episode I was talking about I'm sick and tired of bitching about the news and
how corrupt it is it's like from this point forward can we talk about the solution what's
the solution so I was on TikTok and I followed this um I found this on my for you page this
kid he's probably like 23 who lists off in a minute everything that happened over the course
of the week just boom boom boom boom boom bullet points this happened this happened this happened
all the important headlines that are like the shit that happened and then no there's no time
for the opinion no time for any bullshit it's just that's what happened and that is my that is for me
that is my kind of news like I just want to see what happened I don't want to hear I don't want
to see tweets about how you know how you don't like it or your opinion about it I don't want to
hear the commentary from the news the news reporter about it I just want to hear the information and
then for my own opinion about what I just read. So this kid, he's, he's, uh, he's, I think he's
blowing up actually on Tik TOK. And, uh, I think what I want to do, I don't know about, I think I
can do it on my next one once I have my microphone set up, but I think I want to start playing
the sound, like the sound from that for you guys at some point in the podcast to give you the little
weekly update. Um, I was going to repeat like today I thought, Oh, I could write down
like the bullet points of what he said to give you guys the the week of news updates but um
anyways it was refreshing I'm like this is how it should be done I just don't want to I just I
don't want to see or I don't want to hear all the opinions and all the bullshit it's just too much
um wow am I coming down I think I'm coming down from this caffeine I will say
uh I can't do bathroom breaks because I do this in one take
but I drank my entire iced coffee I just drank some water um let me walk around let me kind of
see how I'm feeling oh I was gonna tell you so when I got home the brown paper bag across the
street the guy was um there's like a drunk guy on Saturday morning that was pacing around yesterday
but his brown paper bag is still on the curb the curb and still sitting there and I didn't
I parked close to it but I didn't I didn't look in it and it's still it looks really full that's
why I'm curious what's in it. So, um, yeah, I'm talking about like what I'm observing around my,
around my apartment. So yeah, that's sitting there. Um, shit might as well. I'm going to
talk for a few more minutes. Um, I think it's fun to like set the scene and set the stage and
describe things. You know what I mean? Like what I'm looking at my surroundings. Cause you guys
are hearing this you're not looking at it not yet probably not till next month um but uh let me talk
about oh the basil my my basil's doing good I have uh behind my tv I grow it's like such a weird
spot for it but I have a basil plant I hide behind my tv and I should just keep it in my kitchen it
would probably look really cute in my kitchen but I put it behind my tv um but my basil's doing good
I have a bird of paradise palm in my apartment that it's got a new spike on it. It's growing.
It's getting, it's looking really healthy. And the other day it was so magical. I was sitting
watching, um, the real housewives, which I like never watched that show, but I was watching it.
And the leaf was like, uh, it was on its way to like blossom and bloom. And I heard it open. Like
I was watching it I'm like I know what's gonna happen today and I heard it and then it in the
course of like an hour it fully opened and it was one of the most beautiful magical um things I've
ever witnessed like seeing a plant a plant like leaf do its thing I don't know what I'm saying
um yeah so the plants are looking good I I keep getting new ones I can't stop myself I got two
at Trader Joe's the other day. Uh, every week I get roses. That's a thing I do. That's a random
piece of information. Um, why am I giving you a little apartment tour right now? I just feel
like I want to talk. I want to, I want to do commentary about my surroundings. Um, Oh, I'm
sick and tired of my couch. I'm sick and tired of my, my Ottoman, my tufted leather Ottoman. I'm
like, I love it, but I hate it. I'm like, I want a new, a new vibe in here. I want a new rug. I
think I'm gonna get a big white fluffy rug because I have one of those like burlapy thick brown rugs
that's really sturdy and it's it's nice but I want something more I feel like more cozy so yeah
I want a new couch as well I don't know if I said that I have a pirate chest a treasure chest in
here that is so cool um definitely keeping that why I'm gonna walk okay now I'm walking into my
my bedroom um okay so the bedroom this is why I need a pop star microphone so I can be mobile
when I record if I have to sit down with a microphone like a heavy thick big ass microphone
to do this I'm gonna feel so like I don't know there's something about walking and talking it's
like when you're on a phone call and you do all this like right now I'm on top of my ottoman
just like walking around my apartment um I just got so sidetracked okay 46 minutes
oh my gosh I put oh my gosh I put this is so dumb like I just need to go buy a new pillow
but I was sick and tired of my pillowcase so I took one of my dresses that's like kind of like
a cow print vibe like black and white and I wrap my dress around my pillow to decorate it to like
update the look you know what I mean and uh it doesn't work because I know that's a dress and
I'm like that looks so makeshift and shitty and I need to just go buy a new pillowcase
I don't the thing is is I I can't stand buying shit I don't need like it gives me anxiety if I
go into like home goods if I go into I look at stuff this is the thing I will go into home goods
I'll go into what's like another like a tj maxx type of store because they're just chocked full
of shit and it's it's like endless fun stuff to look at I'll walk around no bullshit for three
hours and I'll come out with one one candle because what happens is I'll start collecting
things I'll have like you know eight different items by the time I'm done shopping and then
then when I have a little coming to Jesus ceremony with all the all the stuff I picked up and I'll
and I'll axe everything except one like a one candle or one thing for my kitchen or whatever
um I just don't like it's all those minimalism documentaries I watched like I know it's so uh
it's like good to to surround yourself with new things and freshen things up every once in a while
but uh like a pillowcase like Jacqueline just go get a new pillowcase but um yeah I really have a
hard time buying new things and yeah that's why I'm like I want a new car so bad like I'm driving
like this I don't want to talk about my car it's not like shitty but it's not my ideal car like if
I just don't drive a nice car. And I, I'm at the point now where I, sorry, I'm burping up my,
my iced coffee. That is so disgusting. Another TMI situation. Like I, I don't need to tell you
I burped. You can just hear it and then we can move on. But anyways, I want a new car,
but I don't want a car payment. So I'm just like, and I don't, I just don't think it's necessary.
I barely drive my car compared to what I used to because of the situation with the world like
now that my gym's open I drive a lot I'm always like you know driving back and forth now but
I just I'm like I can't get myself to I don't want a car payment I just don't I just freak
out about it I'm like I just I just want to pay for a car like full out buy the thing I don't
like just drop all the money and pay it off in one go um so yeah I was gonna walk you in my
bedroom I don't know why but here I am um oh my gosh wait I'm gonna look under my bed
okay so now I'm looking under my bed at that
it's weird like I have a suitcase under there but that that voice I heard this morning it like
I don't know it freaked me out have you guys ever had like a paranormal paranormal experience before
I will say this about this apartment all the walls are white but sometimes the light will do weird
shit where I'll start to see like I don't know like I feel like it there's like little orby
things in here like little like there's movement if that makes sense and I think it's because the
walls are white so if my eyes stare at the walls and like see it my brain starts to see like the
details and the nuances of like the way it's painted and everything and yeah so I need to
fucking end this podcast I feel like the energy's coming down um as I said this I just drank more
coffee so I'll probably keep it going um here's the thing I'm having fun I'm having fun I'm
enjoying this it's very uh it's it's so fucking fun I don't know like maybe this isn't like oh
I like the sound of my own voice. It's just therapeutic to talk right now because I, you
know, I'm working on myself with my therapist and I want to share my life experiences with
the world apparently. And I feel I've always, this is the thing I've always, I've always
wanted to I don't know like be an online person whatever that is I don't know you know like I
don't want to say the word influencer but I just don't like that's like not no no thank you like
I'm just not into the expectation I talked about this I think it was in two podcasts ago was this
Friday I don't know but I talked about the expectation for myself thinking I would be
like a typical like not to say when I say typical it's like there are so many of them that this is
like the typical uh person that does like blogging and influencing like if you think of a female like
a mid-20s girl on Instagram that's a blogger and she's an influencer there's a certain like look
and a vibe you know that's a common thing that's totally like it's a profession it's a thing people
do and I had the expectation of myself I just assumed I would end up because I wanted to be an
online person like I wanted to have a online um career or whatever with through social media I
assumed that's what I would do and that hasn't been my journey I haven't actually popped off
and done that and taken it fully like seriously and now that I found podcasting hi how are you
Like this feels right. This feels, this feels like the best fit for myself because
I'm a deep thinker. I have a lot of thoughts. I like to talk things out. Um, I'm growing up
and coming into my own in my mid twenties now. And I'm ready to, I'm ready to like share it
with the world and talk things out. And yeah, so that's where I'm at with the podcast. I just like
that. Um, it's fun and I enjoy it and it lights me up. And so, yeah. Um, wow. Again, like I keep
saying on every ending of every podcast, I have such a hard time ending it. I'm like high on my
own supply right now. I'm like, I just want to keep, I just want to keep the sound of my voice
in your ears for as long as possible. I could tell you guys a little story right now. I could
talk about something from childhood. I could talk about my ex-boyfriends. Like this podcast could
very, I, I have it in me. I have it in me to go another two hours right now, but it is now 54
minutes and I don't want to, um, I don't want to take up all your time because I'm going to have
to come back tomorrow and do this all over again, which I can't wait to do. And I'm going to have a
new microphone and I think I'm going to take a selfie with it. Cause it's like the, I told you,
it's like the pop star call center microphone. I'm so excited. I think I'm going to post that
on Instagram today like the one I picked out yeah okay so love you guys love you guys uh
hope you're having a good Labor Day weekend and um shoot me a DM about your paranormal
experiences if you've ever had one be very curious uh your feedback is appreciated I think
it's overwhelming me because I will say this here again I here I go again not ending the podcast
I know this is probably the right thing I should do when I get, like, I'm not, like I've said in
the past, I'm nobody, I'm not special, whatever. Like, I don't think like, oh my gosh, I'm so cool.
I should do a podcast. None of that, none of the above. Uh, but it's telling when I, the amount of
DMs I have, I'm a micro, micro, micro influencer. I have like 5,000 followers. A thousand of them
are fake because when I was 18, my brother and I, he like got an app. He showed me an app that
gets you followers for free so like I really really only have 4,000 I think I'm pretty sure
it's only like 4,000 because I bought a thousand followers when I was 18 um but the amount of
people from that small audience I have that have reached out about this podcast like literally like
when's the next episode dropping like so many of you have said that and I'm like what the fuck it's
been three days like what um that's what is kind of cool to see and that's why I feel like this is
the right, uh, lane for me to, to sprint down right now. Um, sprint down right now. And I,
I even have my family and the group chat going, Oh my gosh, I want to be on, I want to be on
the podcast. I want to be on the show. So shit, we're going to probably have some guests at some
point. Um, love to do like zoom interview things with some of you guys. I think that'd be super
fun. Like you guys, like this all started, Oh my gosh, I have to go back. I need to, I think your
name's, is your name Kanye? I'm thinking of your name is Kanye. One of the, someone DM me and he's
like, I'd love to talk things out with you. You know, you seem so interesting. I'd love to get
your perspective on things and whatnot. Just like, you know, toot my own horn and, or he's like
being nice and saying that and um that's literally why I made a podcast I thought well
I was watching Joe Rogan and Duncan Trussell and then 10 minutes in I think it was yeah like 10
minutes in I stopped it I got all inspired and I recorded the first episode and then that's also
like because I said he dm'd me and then I got all inspired and here I am uh now I'm on number four
so uh yeah so when you guys dm me when you give me any feedback it it's cool to see it's
appreciated i really like that it's you know entertaining you or helping you in some way
that's the whole point and i'm gonna fucking get this now okay 57 minutes um i think the next phase
will be i'll have a little intro song that'll be fun and maybe some yeah some like sound effects
would be cool all right i love you guys have a great sunday have a great rest of your um labor
day weekend and i will i'll talk to you tomorrow talk to you tomorrow okay bye guys
