What's up, guys? It's episode 327. Welcome back to the show.
happy holidays hi happy december
happy um whatever you celebrate marry everything um shit hi welcome back to the show it's Jacqueline
thanks for being here let's do a podcast I'm I'm fired up there's a lot going on
um as always as always there's a lot of updates um for you for this show or to tell you
um let me get comfortable I'm not comfortable right now I guess I'll start off with
the current situation I'm going through in my life right now and how I'm feeling about it and um
what's going on uh there's always something right so as you know
I've moved in to Corey my boyfriend's apartment I'm no longer no longer living
um, I'm living close. Let's just say, I don't want to say where I live, but I used to live
closer to this down the downtown area of San Diego. Now I'm closer to the beach up north a
little bit. And yeah, I moved in here. He's got a dog. I have a dog. He has Louie, an English
bulldog. I have Jimmy, the golden retriever. Um, basically the current situation I'm going
through is I have I'm unable to move my neck because of Louie I can't move my neck I haven't
had a kink of my neck this bad since uh who the fuck I don't even know when and last night he wet
the bed and I have a lot of empathy for that because I as you know if you've listened the
podcast before I've done an entire I think it was a few episodes ago titled my biggest accident I
I was a former bed wetter. I have a lot of empathy for people and animals that wet the bed, but
shit, he wet the bed last night at like three in the morning. And I was trying to be polite and,
or I don't think the word is polite. I was trying to be, I was, he was basically big spooning me
all night and we, we don't really let him sleep in the bed, but last night he was whining. So we
let him come up and I let him big spoon me. And it was to the point where I'm like on the edge of
the bed, no covers. Cause if I pull the covers, he's going to move and roll over and wake up. So
I'm just stiff as a board on the side of the bed. And for some reason, the way I slept created
some sort of circulation problem. I don't really understand what kink, neck kinks are, but I woke
up and now I can't move my neck because of Louie. And he also wet the bed. So I'm also, so the other
current situation is I'm running a laundromat laundromat today um we have this king-size down
comforter that takes this is if you're pro earth if you're pro the environment if you're pro
um doing things the most eco-friendly way please this is not um this is not going to sound that
that cute it takes I'd say six to seven tumbles for an hour at the highest heat for that comforter
to fully uh dry I should probably dangle it off the balcony outside and let it air dry
now that I'm thinking about it actually I already thought about this is like a run-on
my podcast is one run-on goddamn sentence I need to breathe
I did think about it earlier and then I thought how tacky that would look and how
like it we're not in it that's not what we do here I don't know what I'm saying
that just gives me like it just makes me feel like poor I don't know that sounds so but like
growing up we had a fucking clothesline I grew up out in the in the country everyone had a
clothesline you hung up your your laundry on the clothesline and that was like nothing wrong with
that but here in this like bougie part of town to like drape my fucking comforter off my balcony
I don't know why I have I I've changed like what the fuck I should just do that and like yeah
conserve some energy save on the fucking heating or electricity bill this month but anyways I'm
I got a kink in my neck that my English bulldog wet the bed at three in the morning uh I'm running
a laundromat. What else is happening? Um, yeah. So I also have like all the other sheets and the
comforter cover, what's it called? The duvet cover to do. And anyways, so that's what's going on
today. I'm exhausted. It's, um, yeah. Uh, also in news about me and my life, I'm moving out of my
old apartment and it's a fucking shithole back there. Okay. I had a fumigation company come
through like what was that a month ago and I'm not sure if you're familiar or if this has ever
happened to you before I'm not sure if you're familiar with what fumigation is but essentially
a company comes in to your building and put I don't know what kind of chemicals they put out
but they blast the place with chemicals to kill termites and you have to package everything up
you have to like take your plants out you have to like triple I don't even know they gave us
these like special bags and I triple bagged everything and you have to leave for two days
and it's a shithole now like I don't know what it was about that fumigation but now when I go
back to my apartment smells it smells weird all my plants are dead I forgot to take them out so
all my plants are like hanging on for dear life. Like they have all brown leaves except like one
green leaf left. Um, the entire outside of my building, my nice beautiful apartment, uh, has
been all the plants, all the landscaping has been ripped up. It looks like a fucking prison. I drove
by there. Um, last weekend I went to this Christmas bash extravaganza, like San Diego Balboa
park tree lighting fucking see the care see the opera people singing carols on the stage
um thing and I drove by my apartment it looked like a fucking it was so dreary dreary so
basically what I've been doing is every weekend I've been slowly
packing shit up putting it in my car driving it up here repeat repeat um because I don't know I
could I could do like the whole hire a moving company thing but I I don't know I'm just doing
it this way I like it's whatever I like it's just it makes sense um for me and the flow of like how
my weekend goes so yeah every time I walk in it's like that was my cute little apartment right like
if you've seen if you follow me for a while if you've seen this podcast on video you see my little
cute studio like it's a cute place but now it's like it smells like you know that smell when you
walk into a like an old house and no one's like maybe someone lives there it's like it's got a
scent and yeah it's kind of depressing that when I go back um that's kind of that's been like my
weekends hauling shit back and forth um selling furniture I'm selling you guys this is this breaks
my heart. Um, let me take a sip of water. I have this beautiful mirror. It's a floor to ceiling
mirror. It's like six feet wide by eight feet tall. It's got a big black frame. I've had it for,
I got it in like 2019, I think. I've had it forever, or not forever. I've had it for a few
years and I'm selling it and I really don't want to sell it, but I also really don't want to move
it. So I had to decide on something and I I'm getting rid of it. A lady's picking it up on
Sunday. So that big, beautiful mirror that I'm so attached to is going bye-bye. And, um, that's
what's making me, and that like, that's kind of, it's honestly like she's, I said, okay, deal today
on the price. I texted the lady back and then I got really, really sad after like, oh shit, I
shouldn't be doing this I should put that in storage because at our apartment here now
I mean honestly there's a wall this is the thing I'm fucking Martha Stewart in here right we got
a Christmas tree got garland garland is that what it's called garland yeah the little green
uh tree branchy stuff that you drape over furniture and like the um what's it called a
the banister on a staircase in a home like during Christmas time yeah garland am I saying that right
yeah I'm making this place a home okay and there's a fucking okay I won't swear I'm looking
at right now there's a there's like a home goods basic bitch painting that's not it's nice but
everyone's got it right it's a it's a you know I'm looking at maybe four feet wide six feet tall
it's a good size it's on the wall I want to put the mirror okay I've lost that fight I'm not even
gonna put up a fight about putting the mirror there it's like it's over it's done I just got
I proposed the idea to Corey and I think he's like Jacqueline it's too big it's too heavy just
like get rid of it we'll buy a new one at the new place like so yeah I'm looking there I'm like
that's a great selfie spot it's got a good background okay if I was to take a picture there
um it's not happening guys it's unfortunately the mirror's going away um
yeah like what else the apartment's just it's a shit box Corey calls it the flea bag whenever
he jokes around he's like like we don't fight literally at all like I could get into that I
mean I could get into us I could get into like the fucking beauty of our relationship but like
we we joke around a lot and then he go he'll make jokes like oh do you want to go back to
the flea bag or um oh honey do you need your space you want to go back to the flea bag that's what we
call it now um because I went over there to last weekend to clear some stuff out and there was a
centipede or some like crazy looking bug in my white bedding on my bed there and they're like
there's dead bugs just it's so gross um I think I oh wait what else about the apartment I don't
know why I'm going going on and on about this yeah it's weird I like didn't I planned on moving
this year like I wanted to get my own um own apartment similar to the one I'm in now like a big
loft style open concept um like what's it called floor plan with high ceilings good lighting
I was gonna do that and then I met Corey and then now I moved in but
life's crazy guys. Oh my God. Like what the hell? Um, it's been like, what? We're on our
seventh month now. Guys, it's not, it's not that, um, I've moved in faster than this. The fastest
I've moved in with a guy was literally, I think two or three weeks. So it's right. It's, it feels
right this is my this is my new home it doesn't feel rushed i know there's a lot of i was telling
cory this too i was like are you aware of the studies and the research about people that
cohabitate before marriage and how that the divorce rate of people that cohabitate first
and move in together is astronomically higher than people that wait until after they're married
and it's just like it's not that doesn't all that shit it doesn't apply to us we're just
but we're well it's like two unicorns that found each other seriously like just we're I feel really
lucky I think we both do we talk about all the time like what the how is it like Louie okay the
the um his dog the bulldog every time I say Louie it's it's the bulldog the the brown one um
like the other night he didn't shit in the bed what did he do he pissed in the so he's got he's
a puppy he's learning how to he's in he's in training and he fully pissed the bed right
before we were about to go to sleep and no one yelled no one's i would he wasn't like coming at
me and freaking out i wasn't going after him he yelled at the dog in the funny way he does it go
listen last episode if you want to hear that he gave him a good talking okay and took him out and
then I just stripped the bed put it put stripped the bedding put it in the wash wash machine and
made the bed and then boom boom he came back inside the bed was made it's done there's no
fighting there's no it's just the way we handle things is so like it's so easy going and nothing's
ever like a crisis or we never freak out about anything especially with the dogs like Louie has
had also in dog pissing and shitting life updates he's had chronic diarrhea for like four or five
days now and because we switched him to new food and he has left I got him a new dog bed at Pet
Smart and it's nice right and the the first night I got it he shit there's we woke up in the morning
to three I don't know if anyone out there knows what cow shit looks like it's very specific it's
not solid it's like a pile of mush we woke up to three cow shit piles on that new dog bed
and then the next day that happened and then the next day that happened and then I think it's been
like four or five days of that and then on the on the last day it happened there's only one pile
and you might be saying like why why isn't he at the vet does he have a c-diff i think that's what
that's called is he like is he okay um everything's fine he's good now we switched him back to his old
food um you know i remember when i switched jimmy to new food for the first time he was potty trained
at that point so he didn't have accidents inside at all um every time i took him out for like three
weeks he was squirting so I was like well he's got his his the digestive enzymes are just they're
adjusting and it's gonna take a while until it gets solid and I I honestly I that's all is that
um animal abuse I don't know I just let him because you know what he that probably felt good
those kind of shit sometimes they feel good like it's it maybe his stomach hurt all day
the one I didn't know, fuck, okay, what was I on, oh, oh, just the dog peeing and shitting,
oh, how we handle stuff, yeah, okay, we got a Christmas tree, that's another life update,
we got a noble fir, and it's beautiful, we, there's a tree lot, like, two blocks from us,
and we showed up there and I had it in my head that we're going to get like a little Charlie
Brown tree, like a little rinky dink, tiny tree. That's like four feet high. But we ended up,
I saw one that was like, and I'm looking at it right now that was hung right. Like there's gotta
be, it's gotta have a whimsical hang. If you're going, okay. If you're going for a Douglas fir,
that's a different story if you're going for a blue spruce a pine um a frazier it's a different
story but when it's a noble fir there's a subtle difference between a whimsical noble fir and then
like a uh a stiff one and this one's the the tree we ended up getting stood out to me because
the branches are kind of like gently like they're kind of like relaxed the branches look relaxed
and I like that so it's probably seven or eight feet tall um and the lighting setup okay so we
we got some lights from his mom because we didn't have any here
I wanted colored lights and she had some so um anyways we put the lights on the tree and it's a
joke like okay I'm looking at it right now the only lights that are on that are working it's
like a little on the top there's like four twinkling in the middle and then the whole base
is lit up but everything else is not the circuits are the I think I blew a fuse I actually blew a
few before this episode um I was this is a run-on sentence are you having this is a lot of wow this
is a dump this is a brain dump um wow I know what's happening right now it's just I'm purging
I'm talking in like one it's like a flow it's like coming out of my brain in like one there's
like a rhythm a rhythm to this am I monotone yes I feel I feel very monotone this episode
um I blew a fuse before this episode because my little robot floor cleaner thing um picked up
some of the I mean we have a pile like the ones that aren't working the like the tree lights
aren't working there's like a pile behind the tree and the robot vacuum like got stuck in it
and then it yanked it and then I saw a big like spark like it was gonna catch fire
and then the kitchen light shut off so I blew a fuse and then yeah um I found the breaker box I
was like looking around I'm like this is this is a nice place I'm sure the breaker box is somewhere
inside I don't know why I just had that I had a feeling and there was a we have a mirror in the
bedroom and it was behind the mirror so I did a little one two click click and it everything
turned back on um I won't miss that at my old apartment it was the breaker boxes outside and
if I was running a hair dryer in the microwave at the same time because I don't know what would
I run at the same time that it was like a common thing where I'd always blow a fuse
it was always like the hair dryer and then something in the kitchen yeah but I'd have
to go outside and unlock something and it's just a whole shit shit storm we have a garbage chute
here oh my god at my old apartment i had to go to the dumpster out behind behind back behind the
back of it and uh it would light up like if it was nighttime the the spotlights what are those
lights called those outdoor lights. I feel like they have a name. Those lights would come on and
like blast you. So everyone knew you were like throwing garbage out. Cause we had a homeless
person. Uh, we had a, we had homeless people trying to, they'd like go through the garbage
outside. So, um, I think that was, Oh yeah. And it was installed. That's another thing I won't
miss. One of those lights is, uh, one of those spotlights is directly in, it goes directly into
my bedroom window so at night um not like the blackout curtains weren't even doing it it was
still like it's still the light was still getting through from that that spotlight so um but yeah
you'd have to go out back and uh put a code on the there was like a little lock um what's it called a
padlock on the dumpster and you'd have to do the the code to throw the garbage out but now here
now I've got a garbage chute down the hall which is so convenient and I don't throw garbage out
um ever Cory's obsessed with throwing the garbage away like oh my god like every I swear like we
fill up a garbage pretty fast here um and yeah it's just like are you good like you just threw
it out and he's he's like no I like it to be I like it to be emptied it never gets it's like
always like three quarters full and then he'll dump he'll dump it but um I hate throwing garbage
away and I told him that so now he doesn't he doesn't like doing dishes and I I like doing
dishes so I do dishes and um he doesn't actually the other night he did do them and
that was that was kind of a good time because I knew he was hating it and I was like
just for, just once do it. You know what I mean? Just once. Um, I think I was just tired that day
and I'm always working. Like when you, I mean, I'm taking care of a home now. Like I, I'm taking
care of not only myself, but another person. And I'm always working. It's like, you know,
especially with the whole, like I've been meal prepping out. I went to Costco on Sunday
and I'm trying to set him up for success, set myself up for success. Should I talk slower?
Um, with the, with the diet, meaning like what we eat for breakfast. What am I saying? Holy shit.
Okay. The always working thing is like, I just find myself, it's like 9 PM. It's usually before
that. Let's say like eight and I'm, I'm still wiping counters down. Okay. I'm still putting
dishes in the dishwasher. I'm still taking loads of laundry out and like I'm faffing. Is that the
word? I'm like doing a faff. I'm just tidying. I'm wiping. I'm prepping things for the next day.
I'm just like, I'm in motion. Okay. And then I'm taking my dog out one last time. I got to go down
the fucking elevator or the stairs to get him outside. We don't have a yard here. Taking him
out it's just like a lot of movement towards the end of the day where I'm like okay like I'm done
I need to stop working Corey's always like that's another thing we joke about he's like always
working always working um but I love it this is like my dream like I love I'm a I'm a homebody
like I've always been that way but it's fun to share that with someone else and I guess we're
playing house is that what is that what Jimmy did you eat my envelope for my jury dude jury dude jury
duty. Oh my God. She just short circuited. Um, hold on. I'm moving my laptop. Is that
my jury duty envelope? Oh fuck. Well, we're not returning the piano. Um, or I guess that
doesn't matter. It's a guitar center piano receipt. Um, okay. He'd shoot that up. Yeah.
I got summoned for jury duty and other life update. I think it's in like a few days and
I haven't said anything. I don't know how it works. Can I just not show? I don't know. Did
they come after you? Shit. Um, yeah, that's, that's crazy. I got a, it was at the flea bag.
I checked my mail there cause I haven't changed my mail yet. And it was like the court of San
Diego County or something. It was like, you've been summoned. I think it's what's the date today?
yeah I think it's the next week fuck I don't know what to do I'm like I don't know I should
look it up I should actually read it I should actually I opened it I read a few things I saw
the date but I should actually read like can you appeal can you get out of it somehow does that
date get moved um I hope so like I hope it yeah so um but yeah I'm a home I'm a home body I get
to share oh I know what I was saying if I was time out hold on this is a mid-show time out I do this
all the time I don't I'm not gonna shit on myself right now I was about to say if I was listening
right now I'd be so annoyed but I honestly think it's it's good when you're a solo podcast host
if you can just keep it moving the whole time I know it's like I'm a chatterbox today but like
I'm keeping it moving I'm proud of that um but it's a lot you know what I mean it's a lot
so yeah like I'm we're playing house back to that we're playing house before marriage and whatever
um so oh I saw something about being a pick-me-girl because I think I'm a pick-me-girl
type like I feel like the way I my vibe is like pick me and I saw this TikTok and these two women
were like that's a good thing like you do want you want to be picked like isn't that like why
is it a bad thing to want to conduct yourself in a way that attracts a partner into your life
isn't that what we're trying to do here like you know so when I say shit like I'm Betty Crocker
i love cooking for a man and taking care like i literally sent cory off with a fucking lunch
pail today with his meal god damn meal prep okay a meal prepped for him when i say shit like that
it's like that's not that isn't that like that's a positive thing i i feel like the pick me girl
um after i watched that tiktok i was like damn i got influenced to think that being a pick me
girl is like a negative I don't know there's some piece there's some cringiness to being a
pick me girl though I do I do get that and I maybe I'm I don't fucking care um secret of happiness
and I see I saw Reese Witherspoon quote and she said it too everyone that's like successful and
it's fucking they figured it out they all say the same shit the second you stop worrying about what
other people think of you you're free and I'm there so like whatever I'm a pick me girl I own
it. Okay. Um, so where's that? Costco. Is that Costco? Yeah. I bought my fucking, I spent so
much money at Costco. Oh my God. Food prices are going up. I bought a pack of chicken
from the Costco meat section. And I think a year ago when I went, I have a great episode called
looking hot. It's go find the episode titled looking hot at Costco. I think that's, that's
a fun one. I do remember recording that and thinking that was a good episode. Um, it's
called looking hot at Costco. I'm not sure what number it is, but find it. If you want to listen
to me in a, in a, when I was single and looking, thinking I was a hot bitch pushing a car through
the goddamn that's so pick me um yeah but like a year ago I bought a pack of chicken I think it
was like 24 bucks for a like the big pack of chicken breasts and it was like 36
the same size package I was like okay all right okay all right uh is there there's a chicken
okay here's a chicken shortage right there's like a lot of shortages um i'm just happy to be here i
know there's a lot of bad things going on in the world right now i'm just happy to be here
i'm making the most out of it i try to ignore the noise and the bullshit and the in the
the circus happening i know there's a lot like i haven't mentioned kanye west i know i haven't
mentioned kanye yet i know that's like a hot topic right now balenciaga's in deep shit okay
I know Elon's doing some things on Twitter with like Hunter Biden's laptop um he's like exposing
whatever that was there's there's stuff there's some top there's some hot topics I could go into
but like my I'm just I don't I don't fucking care it's always a circus always a circus I'll get back
to Costco but on this um on this topic or whatever I was on the phone with my brother um
and his girlfriend a few days ago and we were talking he was going on about Elon and Twitter
and I'm like just we were talking about it and they were kind of debating and I was moderating
it basically like they were kind of discreet and I was just like look Robert the older I get the
more I realize like I'm not going to solve all the world's problems and the older I get the more I
realize like every single day of the year for my whole life there's going to be something there's
going to be drama there's going to be chaos there's going to be corruption there's going to
be greed there's gonna be a Kanye there's gonna be a Balenciaga doing shady shit with kids and
whatever that is you know like it never ends like my entire life has been that way so I try not to
zero in too much on it and like because at this point for me the online news world is like a movie
and pure entertainment I'm never surprised I'm never like oh my god I can't believe that happened
I'm like, of course it did. It's always something. It's just, it's always something.
And this accelerated, like especially accelerated after, um, or during the pandemic, it seemed like
the world got real like strange and weird then. And then all the news post the pandemic has also
just been what the, like, like Elon Musk on Twitter. And like, it's just so weird. Everything's
fucking weird Kanye get like doing this career suicide shit with praising the Nazis and Hitler
like what you know so I just try to stay I keep I keep my finger on the pulse but I don't deep
dive too much where I'm like you know spending hours reading and watching and like you know
getting too mentally um involved because it's just not it's not good
it's not good the all the it's like we're our brains are so jumbled right now
fuck it's so true like especially if you're scrolling social media one one story you're
on a dog playing with a ball the next story someone's grandma died the next story you're
watching a video of a new piece of technology that's gonna um i don't know make shitting more
what am i saying about shitting being more pleasurable why did that even i said that earlier
about i i'm that my brain just brought that up because of what i said earlier i don't know that
wasn't technology making you less constipated sure you know there's just and then you go to
the next one and then it's like a new movie's coming out it's just we're scatterbrained as
fuck no one's present no one's fucking present anymore like and I attempt it like I'll read a
book before bed here and there and I'm like I feel good I feel I feel here right now I feel
I feel good I'm like I put my toes in the sand last night on the beach no phone no podcast
I'm like I'm grounding I know this is good for me I know I'm getting these earth ions or whatever
the fuck you know pulsating through my body right now I know this is good for my immune system I
know this is like but I was processing that in my brain the whole time because I've I've just maxed
out all the human optimization fucking Ben Greenfield podcasts out there and you know I'm
like think like I couldn't even just put my toes in the sand and put my toes in the sand I'm thinking
of that the whole time but I'm proud of myself I was you know attempting to unplug at the beach
last night and not have any stimulation with my phone or whatever um so yeah but like it
it's crazy like I just we're not
it's like weird in my head I'm like my dream life is to just not be
a little like like it's like a fly on shit with my phone
I consciously think about it and I and I'm better I feel like now that I live with someone for some
reason it's helping me like not be on my phone so much like I think the more you're doing things in
life the less you're on your phone if that makes sense like yeah you might be out in an event or
on vacation taking pictures but I don't know the more busy I get the less I'm on my phone so that's
helping, but why did I get on this topic? What time is it? Okay. Um, you get my point. Um, it's
like, it seems like, wow, what a life, you know? And then it's like, not that hard, right? Just
don't go on your phone. Just don't be on social media nonstop all day. And then it's like easier
seven done we're fucked we're okay we all know this um i did hear gary v quote back in like 2010
that was like don't fight it don't fight reality like we can't fight reality and the reality is
we're all um you know on our socials all day and we're all like watching people's lives unfold on
their stories and we're constantly keeping up with you know everything anyone and everything on
I'm picking is it okay you know we're doing we're doing that now and it's just like okay
according to Gary Vee we should just we should embrace it instead of fight it and I'm like well
there's a tipping point there is a tipping point where you're like am I this is not good
okay I'll bring up Corey again I know we it's like okay it's my boyfriend I talk about him a lot
like a few what's today we've like laid in bed together before we put on netflix
and then at some point he might grab his phone like and he's like you're not into this are you
and i'm like not really and then he'll grab his phone and then i'll grab my phone we're literally
watching TikToks next to each other on like the volume up for like an hour and we're on our we'll
go to Instagram for like like just we'll be in silence we won't even be talking to each other
we'll be laying next to each other in a bed in the same room doing that and we're I'm like cool
with it I'm like I'm having fun are you having fun I'm entertaining you're entertaining okay cool
yeah this is great I'll look watch this one we'll laugh together at a TikTok and then we'll go back
to our own little rabbit hole and it's just like what the fuck um it's not always like that but
I've noticed that a few times recently where like is this we'll like we'll like look over at each
other like holy shit we just did that it's addictive as fuck okay um what other things
do I have on here I have a little note oh I'm going to Washington for Christmas um I really
want to go back to Mammoth I want to go skiing um we might do that in like January and then
Montana in like February skiing in Whitefish so it's gonna be fun we're staying in a sprinter van
so my we're going home for Christmas Corey and I Corey's me he's going home he's already met the
family but he's um going with me and my aunt has a sprinter van and we're gonna we're gonna
park that in the driveway at my mom's house and that's where we're staying which is gonna be
funny as fuck it's gonna be like camping um it's really nice so she has like I don't know what the
style is but like the inside looks like it's like look luxury or whatever like it has a
I think there's like a bathroom in it and like a kitchen and a full bed and
it looks yeah it's really nice so going to Washington um Montana Mammoth
um I wrote down on my note the history of toilet paper why did I write that I don't know
am I done was this a good episode am I like winding down here Jimmy's asleep um
oh I um I'll talk about like working out I guess
I just hip thrusted 455 pounds a couple days ago and I'm proud of that um golf swings kind
to, eh, haven't been able, like, now I'm fucked because of my neck, like, I wanted to go the
range tonight, it's probably not going to happen, yeah, my neck is so stiff, yeah, my
golf swing, like, I just need to put the downswing together, I need to, like, feel my hips and
my arms do their thing the right way a few times, and I feel like I'll, it'll click and
then I'll be good but um yeah my golf oh my god okay another in fitness and sports and all that
um and in those updates oh my god literally I look like an astronaut going to space right now
if you could see me I'm sitting in my work chair like my this is not like this is for some reason
this feels good on my neck. My knees and my feet are like a 90 degree angle. My back's on the
chair. My neck's like pushed forward. I'm sorry. Um, but I've, I shot, okay. I went over to my,
I went over to a friend's house like a week or so ago and he has a basketball hoop there.
And like, okay, let me sit up. The last time I remember I shot a basketball,
i used to play basketball like from i think i started playing in fifth grade and then i did like
um what's it called a aau i did that and then i played in high school um i was like a point guard
shooter um that's how they're called now like forward what the fuck i i played basketball
don't even know what the position was. I was a, yeah, it was like a point guard. Um, I called
out the plays, pass the ball, whatever. So yeah, the last time I picked up a basketball, I think
it was at a, uh, at a 24 hour fitness here in San Diego, like the year I first moved and it wasn't,
it was like, I couldn't, nothing was working. Like I had no depth perception. It hurt. Like I
couldn't get the ball felt too heavy like I was I couldn't I was it was like airball every time
my form was horrible and I don't know why but when I went over to this house and I picked up
the basketball and it was a 10 foot hoop like it was not like lower or anything it doesn't even
matter how high it was it was like shit I'm back everything was like oh little jump shot
no issues forms on point um dribbling was good I was like the finesse was back it was so weird
I'm like how did this how does the body like a couple years ago I shoot a basketball and I'm
like nope I don't got it anymore and then now I'm like three-pointer no issue
yeah it was fun I love I got like and this is the thing about me oh my god and same with like
ping pong I played so it was what did I say um weightlifting killing it uh golf killing it sure
um not really working on it basketball killing it um ping pong what I'm saying is I am an athlete
I'm very athletic and I feel like I'm one of those people that's like good at everything
I can't believe I just said that I want you know what it is I want to be one of those people that's
like whatever i do i'm good at it you know especially with sports like i feel like i'm
just good at shit like i um there's this family member i went to the cory's thanksgiving um
this year and i think his uncle i forget who he was he was like every year he like brings his
ping pong gear and like special paddle and cory and him duel and like play ping pong and like
that's like their thing every year and I I beat him and I don't think I've played ping pong since
like I don't know like a couple years and I don't practice I'm not but I beat I was like you know
what I mean and I was obsessive the other thing I want to get in and get into especially with
ping pong and basketball two things I haven't done in a long time is I get like like with playing
basketball the other night I was like I want to be I want I don't want to leave I don't want to
leave I just want to play I want to play for like it was like 9 p.m. I could have been there
until midnight and I don't know what part of my brain that is but I get like okay once I feel like
I'm decent at something especially when it comes to sports I'm like okay I'm all in I gotta like
keep keep it going keep it moving because it's fun it's fun when you're good at something
and I think that's that's why I'm saying that because if I sucked if I my form sucked if I
wasn't able to like you know hit the ball back and forth while at ping pong and if you know if
I'm missing constantly it wouldn't be fun but it's fun when you're good and I and I'm good at
everything so um I'm fully fucking tooting my own horn right now and I it's like I'm joking but like
not you know what I mean like some people you're like they're just good at everything I think I'm
one of those people like I'm good at maybe it's I'm good at a lot of things and I think whatever
um multifaceted holy shit
I don't know um
you everyone knows someone that's like that I think I think I'm like that that's cool that's
like shouldn't we I maybe I'm strong I strive for that I put in work I try
um I'm also just naturally gifted at things maybe that's what it is
thanks mom and dad okay um both my parents are super athletic so
how fucking arrogant and cocky do I sound right now holy shit holy shit
um that was yeah the most cocky arrogant narcissistic full of shit um speech I've
ever given about myself about being good at everything like who the fuck am I right now
it's a self-esteem thing like I and I mentioned this a lot I and maybe this isn't appealing to
people that like, I mean, if you hang out with me and meet me for the first time, it's not like I'm
popping off like this. It's me here on my podcast, talking myself up because this is how I've
overcome all of my, and again, I've talked about this so many times, my low self-esteem, my
depression, my hating on myself, personality type, like, and I promote this. I'm like, I don't think
there's anything wrong with that and I think I maybe it's from watching and observing other
people I think there's a lot of like melodramatic like like sad like people on the internet that
come and complain and talk about how they're going through it and everything sucks and they're
on their journey of healing and it's like it never ends you know what I mean and I just want
to double down and like, focus on what I'm good at and hype myself up about that. And that's all
I'm doing. Like, I got a great, I got a good jump shot. Okay. I'm not going to sit here and play it
down. Fuck that. You know what I mean? Like, I think that's, I'm trying to promote that. Like,
if you're good at something, pat yourself on the back, um, be your own best friend, be your own
cheerleader, cheerleader. Um, that's how you get over in my experience. And I can only speak from
my experience um that's how you get over um being down about yourself and not being impressed by
yourself and not proud of yourself like I just started yeah hyping myself up and and verbalizing
because that's my show's like an audio diary I verbalize I'm doing this and I'm happy about that
and I feel good about that I'm proud of that I do this and this is what's going on in my life and
oh my god the other week I and then it's like oh shit okay I don't suck Jimmy come here
he's running in circles right now it's kind of cute you're you're good okay um does that make
sense like but when I list off things that I you know that's a good that here's a thought for you
um ask yourself I think okay wait what's the right way to ask or put this in a question
what are you good at what do you suck at
what was easier to come up with or what's the right um what do you what yeah what are you good
at and what do you suck at and then ask like what what's easier do you know what I mean I feel like
for most people it's easier to like list off things you're not great at than like what you're
good at or it was harder for me if I asked myself that in the past it'd be harder for me to say what
I'm good at because I didn't think I was good at anything so yeah that's what I'm getting to um
but I'm not all about those like positive affirmations and looking in the mirror and
chanting and fucking writing sticky notes everywhere and putting them everywhere in your
house like I don't think you need to go those I don't whatever works for you do it but like for
me it's just it was a pot I created a podcast back in 2020 when I was literally down and out
depressed as fuck nothing going on and yeah I started talking about my life and sharing stories
and the outcome of that is I'm kicking ass in life right now and I'm happy and I'm up
and I'm proud of what I who I am and you know what I've done with my life now so
um yeah kumbaya amen what does kumbaya even mean um
I think I saved some stuff on social media in my save tab on Instagram maybe to talk about
i don't know um san francisco police can now kill people with robots
okay that's a topic for i mean i could go into that
oh this is crazy a 28 year old man fell from a cruise ship sometime it left
sometime after it left the port of new orleans on november 23rd
he was found alive in the gulf of mexico on thanksgiving day
he had treaded water for hours with standing rain winds and waves before being rescued holy shit
that's scary i don't fuck with the ocean i meet a lot of surfers in the sauna and shit here in
like at the gym there's like a surfer gang that comes in every morning and they're always talking
about surfing and shit and like they'll talk about like what they you know the shark encounter
or anything like, like fish, seals, dolphins. And I'm just like, nope, not for me. And they
always are like, oh yeah, you should jump in. It's a, it's a beautiful day. You should just
come in. And now, you know, after the sauna, it feels great. Like I'll dip my toes. Like I'll go
waist deep. That's it. I'm just, I'm not adventurous in the ocean. Um, I literally
moved to San Diego to be close to the beach and in the nice weather, but I didn't move here to
like be in the water. I knew coming in, like, I don't, I'm not going to be a surfer girl. I'm
not going to be like I'll lay on the beach I'll wade in the water you know where it's it seems
safe even though like who knows what's under there um and that's it and I'm cool with that like
I'm not a face my fears type of chick um when it comes to my physical
safety and I just look at everything like you got a 50 50 chance of survival I'm like uh surfing 50
50 chance of survival I know that's not statistically like I get I know but my brain
is like okay skydiving your diner you're living um bungee jumping diving or living um what other
crazy adventurous things do people do I can't fucking believe I hiked 50 miles in the middle
of nowhere last year with a backpack on me and just a can of bear spray I didn't I had a pocket
night actually like no bear guns no one had a bear gun nothing no like no like nothing just
i can't believe i did now i'm like how the fuck so i guess that was facing my fears because i do
have a fear of like bears in the wilderness um even though here in the sierras where it
hiked it's like black bears and they don't really fuck with people um anyways yeah i wish i don't
wish I think it's cool if you're like a daredevil and you try extreme things what's with people on
these slack lines okay that's the one I'm like no I don't understand I do not and shout out to
Jay Alvarez um I don't really know who he is but I follow him on Instagram I feel like he's an OG
Instagram dude who like uh like influencer and he like did like model photography like shot
bunch of pictures of I don't know he's like living in Hawaii jumping out of planes all the time and
now he's slacklining and every now and then he'll post his little slackline videos and then he's
like the most recent one he's like um he posted something like countdown the days to Columbia or
he's going somewhere to slackline I'm like oh my god it's the one for me I just cannot I'm like I
will not watch I do not understand how do you walk across a like two between two cliffs with
nothing under you like I don't I don't know I guess that's when you feel the most alive right
when you when you could easily die or if you miss a step um you know so
yeah what else oh the guy oh the guy that fell out of the cruise ship
um
i think my
um sorry i'm on my instagram looking at stuff i saved
oh shit so
hope you enjoyed this episode I guess I'll wrap it this felt like a good chunk of time
I'm I'll talk about like where the night's gonna go um and what's happening later after I stop
recording uh and I kind of want to talk about the meal prep a meal prep Corey oh my god like
a week ago he's like because he knows about how I like before we live together how at my place
I cook for myself all the time I meal prep I like have my shit together in the kitchen like that
he knows about that so he wants me to do it for him so he can go go to work and like have
you know nicely made proportion meals all day and like it's not we're not counting macros here
we're just eating eating good food and um it's like a week ago he talks he told me about like
oh I want to I want you to I want to do that or I want you to do that and so um I don't know like
a week went by and I hadn't gone to the store we'd eaten out at restaurants a few times like
I don't know we were like buying we were making dinner here a couple times but like it wasn't
the full-on meal prep situation yet and I okay it's at the point now where I tell you all the
time how hard he makes me laugh it's at the point now where I'm like peeing I'm actually
I've peed my pants from how much from how hard I've laughed the other day he comes out of the
bathroom I don't know he like showered he's like on the way to work and what did he say he goes
honey where's the meal prep and just him saying it in the way he says it and just that little
quick phrase but just if you god it's hard to like put into words or like you had you have you
had to be there and like it's not funny unless you're like I'm his girlfriend so of course it's
funny to me um he's like honey where's the meal where's the meal prep I'm waiting for the meal
and i died so i was laughing so i've collapsed i collapsed i he was cracking my back the other
night i was like honey i almost i almost shit my pants okay i did i did shit and i he went it was
uncontrollable laughter i my i was like i could see in the mirror my head my veins i've never
seen my veins in my head pop out when i laugh those were popping i'm i peed a little bit when
crack on my back make me laugh I peed a little bit and then I almost shit myself so it's fun
you know what that's how a relationship should be like that or it's not in my opinion in my
experience Jesus Christ I've had the exact opposite like in my for me this is what this
is my kryptonite dying laughing having laugh attacks with your partner is like
every single day what did he wake up and say this morning
i know what you said it's like no one cares jacqueline just fucking shut up
um i had a kink in my neck and i had i've never seen him laugh so hard because i woke up and i
couldn't move and like honey of a kink it's really bad can you like rub it and he was uncontrollably
laughing because as you know if you listen to last few episodes he blew his back out a few like
a month ago and I had to take care of him he was like bedridden and so this whole like the last
month has been me caring for him and his ailments and like now the table turned okay and my next
kinked and he's like honey he's like um you should download the app and the app is the program he's
using to like work on his low back anyways it was just so fucking funny um yeah I'm I feel blessed
I mean shit again like laughter is the best medicine I think dancing and laughter cures
anything like I know that's like a white girl quote like an Instagram bio but it's true it's
truly like I could have like some days I'm like not feeling great or whatever like I'm on my
period. I got cramps. He'll make me laugh. I'm like, I feel great. It fixes it. So, um,
oh my God, it's, well, I don't want to get into that. What was I going to talk about
to wrap the episode? Oh, tonight he canceled his piano lesson. I might tell any of the
minuscule details. He's practicing. He's learning piano. Okay. Um, he'll be home in like an hour,
but um uh the meal prep so what did i make do we care i did
like two big sheets of sweet potatoes roasted roasted brussel sprouts um i did like
this barbecue chicken uh in a pot chicken breast and then i did slow cooked chicken breast
um, in my crock pot with like Mexican spices. So it's kind of got like a pulled chicken, like
Mexican vibe to it. Um, I did some mushrooms, um, cook some mushrooms. I don't know why I'm
telling you this, but last night, oh my God, it's like literally Monday. Right.
And I sent him off with his food. He's like, I feel so great. I feel like,
wow this this food's awesome thank you honey oh my god he's like can you bake those cupcakes
so last night I baked these fucking cupcakes we're obsessed with they're from Ghirardelli
well it's the brownie box it's the Ghirardelli double chocolate um brownie mix and I had a box
here and I've been like I really want to make them right he's like I think you should make them
it's like fucking day one not like we're on a diet we're just like doing the meal prep thing
and because I don't you guys I had fucking issues with food I don't do the whole like
diet thing now I'm just it's a convenience like cooking on a Sunday for the week having things
prepped you don't have to like rush around and figure out what you're gonna eat it's all ready
that's what I mean by diet and meal prep so um anyways he's like you should make the cupcakes
and we had fucking three cupcakes last night with cream cheese frosting threw him right in
the garbage this morning we had like 10 left threw them out um straight in the garbage I
overcooked him a little bit um whatever so yeah it's fun I love I mean just I'm I think like
that's my love language is feeding people or like yeah nurturing like like seeing him take a bite of
something I cooked and and his reaction is like that is the best part of my day
I don't know is that a selfish thing or is that like selfless like I feel like it's kind of a
win-win right it makes me feel good and then he likes the food so because isn't that the thing
about helping people and doing charitable things and like it's actually for you like right helping
people. There is a quote speaking of Instagram captions or Instagram bios. I don't know if
Scooter Braun still has it on his Instagram, but it was, you don't know how to live unless you know
how to give. And I always, I always remember that one. He took that off his, um, took that off his
Instagram bio um 3.7 million followers okay so but yeah it's true like giving is and we're in
the season of giving y'all I mean how good does it feel to gift something to someone that's my
favorite part of Christmas time is like sitting down with my laptop online shopping for other
people it's usually myself but like this time I'm gonna like I get to like pick things out for
other people it's so it feels so good and it's like it just shows like it's like love like
yeah um there's just this it's we're living in a very self-obsessed self-absorbed i mean
shout out me and my fucking self-absorbed podcast we're in a time where it's like me me me look at
me follow me click me like me you know and i think we could all use a little more like
like go join a go join a volunteer group I don't know like help help someone give
um and it can be small you know and you feel those are the best days like when you help a
lady cross the street an old lady you pick something up from some that fell on the ground
for someone or you strike up a conversation with someone on the sidewalk and they're looking for
directions or you know that kind of shit I always feel like that's when you feel the best that's
when you feel the most like happy yeah happy I think that's the emotion it's like you kind of
walk away from those moments like ah yay you know so um connection y'all get off your look up from
your devices and connect I actually had a brilliant idea this morning in the sauna or that I thought
about um like if I was going to open a gym and have a sauna I would have like a no phone policy
and I would write a little cheesy cheeky thing like like or you'd have like a prompt in there
I don't know just to get people like people talk in the sauna don't get me wrong like it's not like
people don't but just to get people like I feel like that's a good place to meet new friends and
to like connect and shoot the shit with strangers and so if there's like a no phone like the the
reason you're in the sauna is to talk to the who's whoever's in there does that make sense
because everyone there's a lot of people go in the gym every day there's a lot of people sitting
in saunas and again a lot of people do talk I I talk to people in the sauna all the time but
I don't know like sometimes you're I'm in there or someone they're just on their phone all the
time i'm like hi like i don't know it's weird it's like such a small space and no one's like
connecting it's like strange but we're so used to it so i don't know um
what shows have i been watching i haven't really covered this yet on the episode
um oh my god the we we've been watching the unabomber documentary i've heard that before
like unabomber um the term like unabomber i never really knew what it was for some reason i was
thinking of like world war ii i don't know why like whenever i heard that i was like oh no it
was like for 30 fucking years or some shit this guy is living in a little shed in montana making
bombs that get delivered in packages to universities and on air on different airplanes
that he shipped them to or whatever and he's blowing things up like blowing trying to blow
people up in the technology industry like scientists and because his whole thing was
like he doesn't believe in technology he thinks it's ruining society a lot yeah that's a crazy
documentary highly recommend um it got better like at the beginning it was kind of like okay
you know boring but it gets better um Corey says he's on his way home all right um
what other shows
yeah I don't know watching a lot of like true crime um shit is so scary like I just know like
we all know there's gonna be a fucking University of Idaho documentary on the murder that happened
in like a couple years or so maybe less than that like the um i just watched it the girl that got
her boyfriend they went on they're in their van doing van life and then i can't think of her name
you know who i'm talking about um this is like in 2021 they just put out a documentary on it
like the family's like getting interviewed i'm like that was so soon like i'm sure this
this university of idaho situation is going to be documented and then like talked about in a year
like or put on netflix it's fucking crazy um yeah like house this is the saddest thing i used to go
to washington state university and it was like a short drive to go to u of i so it's kind of like
close to home to me or like it's crazy that i don't know it's like my old stomping grounds and
it's just right there those kids were you know taken out and fucking the most horrible way
um and no one it's like a fucking mystery i don't know what the late i should i actually
kind of want to look like probably later what the latest is on that but it's terrible just
fucking terrible um it's the craziest thing though when i watch these shows
these serial killers these people that kill people they have like zero emotion they just
don't feel anything when they do it and that is so scary to think about people walking this planet
that just have intrusive thoughts or they have compulsive thoughts about killing and they do it
and they don't care. So psychopathy is wild. Um, Jimmy, I think I need to wrap it. He loves it
here. So this apartment has a nice view of people walking the street and he gets to people watch
all day. My other apartment was more of a dungeon for him. Like he couldn't really see out that
well. So he's very happy here. He gets to go to the beach. So we live like literally a block from
the beach. It's so convenient to take him there. So he gets to run on the beach a lot. Now he has
a new brother. Life's pretty good, isn't it, Jim Jim? We've been calling him, his nickname this
week is Mr. Jim Jim Mr. Jim Jim yeah he's a good boy he's gotten really calm ever since I met Corey
and moved in here I don't know what it is I think it's he's two now he's officially a lap dog like
I remember when he was a puppy I'd sit down and watch tv or something and he'd jump up on the
couch and then he'd kind of hang for two minutes and then jump off and kind of go crazy and play
with his toys where now he just lays there the whole time so yeah um all right I'd say I gotta
call it right now um hope you enjoyed this episode it was fun um I just have good
good energy today I guess really good I'm in a good mood and I just felt like recording so
it's kind of how it is now I don't know whatever this podcast is whatever it is you know
um I'm consistent though and that's the only advice I give to someone I actually had a friend
reach out and um they wanted to know you know what to buy for a like what podcast equipment to buy
and like you know what you know if you're starting out and I need to text him the consistency thing
too like my advice to anyone out there is whatever you're doing especially in social media like
consistency of your content consistency like it's everything um it might not be the
like I don't I haven't um what's it called
I'm not keeping up my promises to myself about like posting to TikTok every time and like
making clips and editing those and I haven't been I've been like kind of slack you know that
y'all know that if you've followed me for a while and I'm calling attention to it because it's real
like um that's a goal that I'm not keeping I'm not really that's a weekly goal I'm not
accomplishing I'm getting an episode out which is like bare bones like that's the
the that's like I have a podcast I need to post podcasts every week it's audio only right now
it is what it is but um I would rather be consistent and put out an audio only episode than
try to make it perfect and do video and make tiktok clips and have it all ready perfect um
and be all like stressed and feel discombobulated about that so um the reality is like i've said
before like i have a podcast i have a job i'm a regular chick with a dog and a boyfriend and
um like i'm a corporate biatch right now y'all i live in the i work in the corporate world and i
have a side hobby and that's my podcast and it's a lot okay and I know people are pulling it off
out there and shout out to them like I go in phases and I think that's just a creative person
thing like I get energized as fuck sometimes and that's when you'll see me pump out like videos
on TikTok and Instagram like I'm just like hyped up about it and then I get into like a valley of
like I just I'm not I just don't want to I it's like inertia you like I'm resisting it and I'm
Like, okay. So I just do it. I know you shouldn't do make decisions and, and do things based on how
you feel, especially in business. You just have to get the job done. Right. But I'm not going
anywhere. My podcast will be around forever. So it's like, I'm not stressed out. I'm not trying
to like blow this shit up in here. Like, I feel like everyone out there is trying to get, get a
quick bag. And then it's like, cause they see how much money there is in podcasting. It's a,
I did some research the other day it's a there's how many billion not billions of dollars yeah
four it'll be in 2024 for worth four billion I think is the numbers so it's crazy a lot of money
to be made um but yeah consistency back to that um I'm trailing off here as you can see so
uh love you thank you for hanging out thanks for spending time with me today
I hope you're having a good December so far I hope you're as excited about the holidays as I am
I love this time of year it makes me feel I love those commercials like I don't fuck I watch
commercials right now like or I get excited to watch the Sears Sears gone I think Sears is gone
like the Macy's commercials and the fucking Kay Jewelers commercials the Christmassy ones right
like this time of year is beautiful it's perfect it's pristine it's like Christmas time
is it's just it's magic and so I hope you're as I hope you're feeling as good about it as I am
because um yeah it's a sweet time I hope you're healthy I hope you're happy and fulfilled in
