Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up, guys? It's episode 36. Welcome back to the podcast. what's up guys it's Jacqueline happy Friday welcome back to the podcast hope you're doing well hope your week was great uh TGIF TGIF let's go out on the town tonight um I'm not going to be because you know you know me it's a podcast chill workout sleep that's all I do right now and you know what I I've been uh totally vulnerable and honest about my simple little life lately but I love it I really feel happy and today's another podcast where I feel like I'm not, I don't feel, I don't feel like being obnoxious like I was on Wednesday. I feel very calm and happy and I'm going to just, I don't know, make this very, just a nice chill podcast
Starting point is 00:01:12 like yesterday. You know what I mean? Um, so I don't know. I just want to like welcome you into my home today. Go watch it on YouTube if you want to like chill with me, if you need a friend to hang out with. Um, and I want to be a little hostess and just make you feel, make you feel at ease right now. That's like the point of this podcast. I mean, there's a lot of reasons I did this podcast. In fact, I have a note here to read to you guys. In an age of checking up on other people's lives, I want full possession of myself. This podcast is essential for me staying true to who I am and help me explore my own life without getting caught up in other people's, which is, that's where I'm at. So this is my self-mastery course. I say this every podcast. This is my
Starting point is 00:01:53 like self my mental health self-help thing I do it's my verbal morning pages and um it's great because I'm practicing being super super honest and I'm not hiding from my struggles and the things I have issues you know personal problems with so it's a very cathartic it's therapeutic to talk it out and I know that it's probably if you're listening to this right now you're probably relating to me in some way so I'm just sharing it with you and here we are just talking about I'm like here's every podcast I'm like this is the style of podcasting I do this is the behind the scenes information whatever um so I'm not drinking coffee today I'm drinking water I got noise upstairs already sound like a slinky just fell off a chair um drinking water I I cut
Starting point is 00:02:47 myself off I already had my two cups for the show and um maybe I'll I don't know I shut I shut my p.o box down by the way to um because I thought okay this is too soon like Jacqueline open a p.o box in six years don't do it month one because I had this fantasy like I'll have a p.o box and then all my people like the people list the listeners can um they can can they can they can send me coffee to try out on the podcast or something like that you know what I mean I could do like each show I could have a new blend from a different region in the country I don't know I don't know where you guys live I think a lot of you are in California though with me hi um so yeah should I elaborate more on that thing I said but it's true like we're in this age
Starting point is 00:03:35 of checking up on other people's lives all day on social media like you follow someone you're like tapping their story you're seeing what they're up to and I made a decision I said I want to have full possession of myself I want that back and so it's essential that I get on this podcast and do this every day for me to feel sane about who I am and super authentic and I guess close to myself and what I would in my life because the more I mindlessly follow someone else's I get detached I don't like that about social media I don't so this is my little solution you know I'm all about those fucking solutions um you know here I am hi okay so getting that out of the way oh also patreon.com slash tjms if you want to support the show hi you can go over there and uh see all my
Starting point is 00:04:22 exclusive content get a shout out at the shout out at the end of the show you can also watch this on youtube so hi just check me out there I had to do this plug oh god I gotta also say subscribe and leave a review on this podcast if you like what you're listening to I'm just sharing the good news I'm a hostess I'm like welcoming you to my home and I'm like look let me just talk about myself and you're gonna just be so comfortable about this and it's normal just like I'm the it's weird because it's I'm making this all like this podcast is all about me and it's very like I'm selfish in that way or how do I say this like I know that hearing someone else talk about their shit helps you but I feel weird and I don't like to say narcissistic but it's kind of I tiptoe on
Starting point is 00:05:15 that line of like is this just one big giant narcissistic shit storm every day then when I podcast I don't know anyways I need to stop like this is just what it is all right um I'm gonna talk about what I did yesterday, I, I was super productive before the podcast, I think I talked all about how I, like, went to UPS, I did all my errands, I cleaned, or I, I don't know, like, oh, I put my couch cover, my couch cover cushion, couch cushion covers on my couch, which, which was, uh, super, uh, complicated, uh, and took a lot of time, but, um, why am I telling you guys this? I already told you yesterday, Jesus Christ, anyways, I had a productive day, and then I basically, um, podcasted, chilled, worked out again, watched the game, the Bucs, and the Bears,
Starting point is 00:06:11 Buccaneers and the Bears, watched Tom Brady get really fucking pissed off, which is hilarious, and actually, yesterday, I said, um, which, guys, I'm not some football, like, diehard, like, I know everything person but um yesterday on the podcast they said these are two teams i don't give a fuck about which is true like i don't ever follow the bears or the buccaneers like i don't care and then i'm like wait a minute i didn't know tom brady moved to the buccaneers that's how out of it i am like i could speak i could talk about the seahawks all day but i have no clue about any other team so anyways uh watch the game i uh fucking and i'm sitting crooked right now because my back hurts you can go watch me on youtube slouch to this to the right so um let me explain what happened
Starting point is 00:06:51 at the gym god my neighbor looks like such an asshole you know people just look like first of all he screams at his girlfriend he's walking outside in the beginning of quarantine every single day it was a verbal abusive fight upstairs and some people just look like how you'd expect them like the way he screams and yells is like that makes sense for how he looks not to be, I don't know, judgmental, but I hope he's, you know, I'll pray for him. I haven't heard them fight in a while and a while, but he looks angry all the time. And anyways, so anyways, at the gym, that's why my back hurts. So I was doing deadlifts. So I had a great workout yesterday. I started out, first of all, this is all over the place, but my, I have, there's a new
Starting point is 00:07:40 section of my ass that hurts that I've never been sore and like that area has never been sore before so I'm like oh my gosh I have to do this new thing where I do my leg press right but I basically put my heels up as high on the leg press machine as possible because that really targets your glutes and I went heavy I think I did what's the let me calculate it well for me heavy I mean you guys out there with your fucking thunder thighs or like that's not that heavy 45 times four plus no wait 45 times six I did three plates 270 which I don't know I did three plates on the leg press my ass hurts so I did that it was great then I did hip thrust and this is where shit went south I got on that I got underneath that hip thrust bar and um oh wait no this that no not the hip thrust so
Starting point is 00:08:31 I did good at hip thrust, but no, what I was going to tell you guys is deadlifting. So, um, my back hurts because we don't have clips. Like you have to bring your own, it's so dumb. Like you have to bring your own clips for the sides of the weights to keep them, you know, in tight against the bar. Right. So they don't fall off. Well, anyways, I didn't, we don't have those. Right. So the weight slipped on the right side, like way off. And I was going heavy on my dead lifts I had like I think it was 245 I was doing and it was way off to the right this is such a long fucking story about why my back hurts and it was way off to the right and I pulled and I didn't notice how far off the weight was and I just completely like I was uneven and I was like
Starting point is 00:09:15 shit I felt it and I was like I just pulled my back and it's my lat muscle so whatever um I came home and I wrapped I have a waist wrap thing and I put a bag of pineapple frozen pineapple underneath it and it numbed my lat and I slept great so anyways that happened um I don't know oh my god then I went to the award-winning section of fucking Netflix and found Magic Mike and I watched Magic Mike last night dude why is Magic Mike so I was so confused because you know I'm not a big Netflix watcher um you know just so different like that but I was like okay I want to watch a good movie tonight because every night this week my goal was to watch a movie oh my gosh it's day five I can't believe I started I talked about my goals
Starting point is 00:09:58 this week on Monday and I can't believe it's been five days so I've been consistent watching movies every night and I was like okay I want to I want to watch a good movie so I went to the award-winning fucking movie section of Netflix and like the third movie across was Magic Mike and I zeroed and I said I cannot and I have to watch this I haven't seen it in so long and I just I kind of laughed I was like I don't know I mean it's an amazing amazing fucking flick of a movie a flick of a movie flick what are they called I don't know Channing Tatum is he's um he's magical like I oh my god and then I got in a rabbit hole then I was like on his Instagram like wait a minute I didn't realize he got a divorce a couple years ago I totally forgot about that I thought him
Starting point is 00:10:42 in it was a jenna jenna jenna diwan i don't know her name but i was like they're the most like beautiful perfect couple ever and i didn't realize he got a divorce and then i got well my little uh the little lights went off in my head like he's single i think i don't know but he's doing a really cool movie right now i think it's called dog but like dogs in the military it's like german shepherds and shit see i was like deeply stalking his instagram while i was watching magic mic and i'm like you're just a perfect specimen of a human being like all around well-rounded well-rounded guy he can fit he can play a lot of roles and obviously he's an actor but big shout out to Channing Tatum um dude hit me up if you're listening right now I'd love to
Starting point is 00:11:22 get a coffee is that how you ask celebrities out like that's how I'll do it on this podcast I'll just shout out a celebrity I want to go I'll have a fucking cappuccino with and uh see if they hit me up in 10 years when this actually gets listened to oh shit let me check my fucking oh man I don't want to swear I'm trying to cut back on the swearing let me check the poll I made um on Instagram I asked if people listen to the podcast and let's see how it's doing just curious like has anyone out there listened to at least like one episode oh so we're so far at I posted this like an hour ago 75% said yes that's cool so anyways um yeah I I'm not this this is crazy because I'm podcasting seven days a week and I have no, I have no, my only goal is to do it
Starting point is 00:12:11 seven days a week. That's it. I'm like, show up every single day. That's all you, this is all I want to do. So it's like, do what you love. You'll never work a day in your life. So I decided I love podcasting. I want to do it every day. I don't know what's going to happen in the future. I don't have plans. I'm just like, I'm here, bitch. I'm sitting down every day. I'm doing a podcast. That's all I want to do. Whatever happens, happens. But yo, Channing Tatum, if you're out there listening, I'd love to get a coffee with you if you, if you take me up on that. Uh, you're 40, right? Yeah. That's cool. Anyways. Um, so that was my night. Um, well, let's talk about this morning. Slept great. I think my back stayed numb. Not even kidding. I mean, I had that ice pack on
Starting point is 00:12:54 my, my frozen pineapple kept my back numb probably for three hours as I was sleeping. So I slept fine because it's so hard to sleep and your back hurts because you're just like you can't get comfortable but i propped up i had like a pillow prop to keep me from like sliding around too much and um anyways slept great woke up at like i don't know bright fucking early 6 a.m check my stocks market's doing great today shit's going up stimulus packages are coming about apparently things are honestly the stimulus shit going on has been such a clusterfuck and it's at the point now I think it's um it's uh Chuck Schumer Nancy Pelosi or they're so um like what's the word they don't want to pass anything or make a deal right now because that'll make Trump look good
Starting point is 00:13:40 so it's it's just this it's not gonna it's so frustrating because they won't do anything and because of the election and it'll it'll be a win on his end of things and this is they won't basically I don't think the deal is going to happen before the election so anyways act like I know shit. Cause I, I like follow this every day and I don't know. I, it's like a, it's like a dramatic, I like, um, I don't really, I pay more attention to what's going on in the stimulus world and that shit more than I am the election. Like I just know so much. Cause I follow this guy. He's, he's called a meet Kevin on YouTube. And he's, I just, I'm obsessed with his, his videos every day. It's like this little, it's like a reality show. He's just like telling us
Starting point is 00:14:19 about fucking house and the Senate and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and who else is on there today um this other guy just talked in the stock market went Larry Kudlow I think yeah every time he talks it's like stocks it's crazy how that works um dude I can't believe it's taking me this long to understand how the stock market fucking works but dude tip of the day life advice adulting advice figure it the fuck out that's all I want to say it is like once you get it and you know what to do like you'd be it's just it's it's so like duh like why isn't everyone involved in investing like everyone children and adults every like it's crazy to me so um anyways I did that this morning roll out of bed check my stocks okay cool um this is gonna
Starting point is 00:15:09 sound so dumb like I'm proud of this but my new lifestyle my new morning lifestyle now that I've establish myself as a daily podcaster is to get my shit done all my tasks all my chores before I podcast so let me tell you what I did this morning because it's a lot okay so I went full-on Martha Stewart this morning around my little apartment here and I feel like I live in a dollhouse that's what I've decided my apartment is like a little dollhouse and I thought about if I have a like a 6'4 man in here someday which is what I'm like eventually that that will happen um like I'm talking about like a future um man dating situation and like they're gonna they're not gonna fit in here like I have a bit my apartment's like it's like how many square feet is that it's
Starting point is 00:15:53 like 800 I don't know how square footage is but it's pretty big but it's so cute and like how it's set up but I felt like I live in this little dollhouse so anyways I'm Martha Stewart this morning I I had a shit ton of dishes to do like right off the bat I was like all right I'm gonna to get this done. So I did that. I listened to, um, the morning toast, Jackie and Claudia's, their little daily talk. They have a, it's like a talk show. Honestly, they talk about like pop culture and stuff and reality TV. I listened to them. I made, I did my dishes, dude. I got to tell you this. I don't want to be an influencer, but you guys have to get Mrs. Meyer's basil, uh dish soap best one so I use that um and those blue scotch scotch right sponges scotch right
Starting point is 00:16:41 is that what they're called blue I'm googling blue scotch sponges I'm pretty sure those are the ones they have the little gritty side yes I know what I'm talking about scotch bright sponges only ones I ever used um so yeah I did my dishes and then I was like all right I'm gonna do my floors so then I cleaned my floors and I'm like listening to podcasts cleaning my floors my fucking uh handheld vacuum thing my little dust buster exploded everywhere which I was like you know what shit happened so I had to clean up so I swept and then that the dust I just suck up the dust with the um the vacuum thing but it exploded everywhere so I had to like re-sweep in the area anyways it was a lot it was dramatic but I was feeling great because you know me I had my coffee
Starting point is 00:17:24 I was like I'm being productive I'm being an adult I'm taking care of shit before my podcast before my work and uh I did that I even meal prepped I made like my meal prep ground beef again you guys who's sick of me talking about ground fucking beef I even thought about having a little beef snack off to the side here in case I get hungry because I'm podcasting kind of late today because I got a lot done beforehand so I did that um seasoned up really good I put um this time I made like a taco type ground beef situation I don't know it was so good I took a little I took a little nibble on it um oh and I did spaghetti squash I cooked that and yeah I don't know I just like wiped shit down swept clean mopped um oh I watered all my plants I oh my gosh I didn't even
Starting point is 00:18:08 tell you guys this I made um I planted new little seedlings I plant malfunctioning I planted little seedlings a little herb garden situation this morning and I I uh I've been looking at these little packets of seeds for so long like I've purposely like not even kidding in probably May this is not okay this is the stuff I'm talking I like to talk about on the podcast and I'm like I'm not proud of this but I'm going to share it with you this is me being super honest and raw about the shit I'm just embarrassed about but like I put out this little packet these packages of seeds back in like May and I've never planted them so now it's August no what's the date today October 9th and I finally planted them and I'm so excited to have little herbs herbs uh
Starting point is 00:18:59 sprouting out in like 15 days and I planted rose or um yeah rosemary, thyme, lavender, basil, mint. I have like six or so different little seeds I planted so I did all that before I podcasted and then um I don't know I just like checked in on the the world and news going on we got a Sophia Franklin her new podcast popping out new competitor in the industry uh she's the she was the former co-host of Call Her Daddy and now she's got her own she's coming out with her new podcast Sophia it's called Sophia with an F so I listened to the like her little teaser trailer of that and it's gonna be juicy I hope I hope like I don't know what kind of podcast she's gonna have I doubt she's gonna sit here and sit on her podcast and do a daily vlog
Starting point is 00:19:46 like me it's probably going to show up once a week which is what everyone else fucking does and uh she'll I don't know maybe have a lot of guests she'll basically do what Alex is doing with Call Her Daddy but it'll be her I don't know that'd be dumb though like she shouldn't she should not make another I don't know if she if she made another like dating and sex style podcast I don't know it's gonna be hard to compete with Alex because Alex killing it and I'm obsessed with her and like it's really cool to follow people like or see someone go from nothing to something I don't know how to explain this but she's the type of person where I struggle with this a lot with celebrities now I'm doing air quotes because especially with tiktokers I'm
Starting point is 00:20:32 just gonna say it it doesn't make sense like people just fame doesn't mean shit to me anymore but when I see someone work their ass off and you can totally tell that they they're a star like they have a product like she's making a podcast every you know week and she's great at it and she has like an actual personality that's cool and she's her own like thing you know it's cool to watch that blossom over time and she's super successful now but when I see people pop up pop up pop up overnight on like a TikTok video it's like there's not a lot that doesn't impress me as much as something like I'm not like a podcaster I don't it's just different to me like TikTok fame is so weird especially when paparazzi are chasing around TikTokers it doesn't make any sense to me
Starting point is 00:21:15 um so anyways uh so why did I say that oh Sophia's podcast I found I was like watching that this morning um oh I had this idea so I live in San Diego right and I don't know I don't know much about the scene here the drama the cool people like I don't really I'm not I'm not plugged in I'm not really involved because I imagine there's a there's a situation here kind of like the real housewives of Beverly Hills but it's San Diego but it's not like there's not like a show about people that live here yet or I don't know if it'll ever happen but I know that exists it's got to exist there's got to be some sort of like social scene and like a hierarchy and there's these people you know what I mean I don't know who they are but I kind of guys I kind of think my next
Starting point is 00:22:00 journey maybe do something like I'll do this little like I'll try to get involved for the podcast so I can talk about it and I can I want to put San Diego on the map I want to talk about the drama here I want to talk about the people like I want to know what's going on that'd be so fun like like I don't know it's kind of one of those cities like everyone's in transition here people come here everyone's a lot of people are transplant like myself from Washington but I don't really know who like those people are my age group I kind of know my like I can kind of sense my age groups like the people that are I don't know just from like what I see on social media but I want to know about like the middle-aged women I don't know why this is
Starting point is 00:22:43 interesting to me I think it's because Jackie and Claudia on their show this morning were talking about reality tv and I was like what is it like here in San Diego I have no clue just a bunch of surfer dudes and like fitness chicks that's pretty much what we got here um so yeah that was my morning then I podcasted but I have this idea today so I'm gonna do a little segment where I have this journal now I know I said journal and everyone just went and took a nap because it sounds boring but I have this idea of it has prompts in it writing prompts but I'm gonna do it I'm gonna randomly flip through it and put my finger down and do uh use it as like a talking prompt for the podcast. So we're going to do that. Let me see if I have anything else to say today
Starting point is 00:23:26 before I get into that. Not really. That's it. So I'm going to do my, let's do this journal segment. I'm obsessed with my notebook guys. I just can't shut up about it. It's so crunchy and it got wet the other day and then it dried. I'm like, the pages are crunchy now. If you, if you get that, you get that if you don't get that you're it's just one of those things I like notebook I like when paper gets wet and dries I'm is that a do I have a is that like asmr is that like what does that mean I just like to feel things I just want to feel something and so if it's that crunchy page dude it's not going to be human interaction it'll be that crunchy page it's just it's just so depressing dude but guys the goal I think the next phase of life will be
Starting point is 00:24:14 like jacqueline getting out on the san diego scene and then reporting on it to you guys on the podcast and i'll make san diego a thing like i just want to get heavily the fuck involved in the social scene here i want to be in the drama i want people to be like i i don't know how to explain it i just fantasize that like like oh shit here comes jacqueline she's gonna you know she did this last week and now we can't be friends anymore just like drama like that I want my life to get more juicy so I can talk about it on the podcast because dude talking about fucking working out every day and taking naps is out of control like there's more to life than this I mean but I'm happy that's what the bullshit is like I'm happy my life is my life has pretty much been
Starting point is 00:25:02 drama free for so long like I don't have a lot of pomp and circumstance I don't have a lot of shit going on every day in my life with other people and drama and situations and things and I don't know I just made spaghetti squash sound interesting this morning and I made fucking ground beef sound interesting and you're listening somehow and so whatever it's working all right let's open the journal question number one name and describe oh god name and describe five silly things you do Oh, geez. Okay. This is going to be so easy. Number one, I podcast seven days a week. I don't
Starting point is 00:25:47 think you can get more silly than that. More silly fucking goose than that. Um, no, but seriously, like I'm locked in, I'm doing it seven days a week. I think that is the most, like, I don't know. It's starting to feel silly. I'm like, Jacqueline, do you even have a weekend anymore? Like tomorrow it's Saturday. And guess what? I'm going to do that Q and a, I do a Q and a every Saturday. And it's like, do you even have a weekend life? Do you even have a Sunday off? Like, no, I podcast 70 a week. Okay. So that's silly. I feel like recently silly. What's another silly thing I do? I feel like on the podcast, if I like listen to any of it, I hear myself do this a lot. I always make a noise, like a little, there's a podcast. So you guys know, I don't
Starting point is 00:26:32 listen to them because I just don't like I talk and then why would I listen to it back? You know what I mean? Like I already heard myself say it, but sometimes you guys have mentioned stuff and I go, oh shit. So they'll listen to that episode. And I noticed some weird things I do. That's another silly thing I do. I have to do five of these. Let me really think about this. Stay with me here. Let's think about it. Trying to think of my like routines of life. Like when I'm in my car, when I'm driving I would say a former silly thing I did was care about care too much about what other people thought of me and I would like try hard it's fucking silly that counts I don't do that anymore though so I mean I can't really count that but if you're out there doing that
Starting point is 00:27:19 that's silly that's a waste of life you're wasting your years of your life being concerned about other people's opinions too hard. I don't know. This question sucks. I don't want to, I can't think of what I do that's silly. Okay. I'm, I'm bored of that one. Um, how spontaneous are you? Next question. Well, I would say I'm the older I get I don't know okay so I had I did some really spontaneous shit in 2018 as you know I moved to California on a whim I was like I'm well not on a whim it was my dream to live here in San Diego and I okay actually yeah I'm really spontaneous when I think about it but guys this is like not I don't know if this is a good pattern or whatever but it's
Starting point is 00:28:10 always around men that I do spontaneous shit like whisk away like literally my story about flying alone to another country, flew to London, met someone for the first time. Like, that's pretty spontaneous. I mean, just like, okay, let's do it. You know what I mean? I did that. Pretty, it wasn't like a long plan either. It was like a, it was within a couple months of like, well, that decision was made quickly. But another spontaneous thing I did was I moved right in with someone after two weeks of knowing them man situation um that's again it's like a men thing I'm I feel weird telling you guys this but you know what it's my life story storytelling whatever um I like quit my job dude I I'm not proud of how many jobs I talked about quitting
Starting point is 00:29:01 but dude if stuff is not like if what I'm doing is what I've established I've written about this a lot if what I'm doing isn't moving me closer to where I want to be I get out like that I'm not I don't even usually okay I have a safety net I always have a plan I'm never like oh I'm out I don't have a backup plan I always have something else in place I always do that there's never a like just taking a chance with you know and risking it all no but I did I did quit a job via text spontaneously, 2 a.m. one time, yeah, that was a, that was related to a man as well, like, that is not okay to say, but hey, it happened, you guys, I gotta juice up these podcasts with some intense, like, I don't know, truth bombs, yeah, I quit a job, I texted the
Starting point is 00:29:55 person, I was like, I'm out, and then I whisked away, and then I did a, went on a trip, and that was because like I quit my job because I was like well I have to work this weekend but I want to go on this trip instead so another spontaneous thing I did um let me think about that I mean there's I feel like there's a lot of things like I went to a concert last year by myself that was spontaneous like I just said I want to go to this concert it was like a country concert it was like five minutes away from where I lived up in Del Mar so like I'll go it was at the fairgrounds there I don't know I feel like I do a lot of like fuck it I'm gonna do this thing
Starting point is 00:30:37 but I don't know so there yeah I guess the question was how spontaneous are you and yeah I guess I'm spontaneous okay pretty spontaneous uh next question um describe three really awkward moments in your life oh shit i okay this question i'm immediately going i have no clue i know i've had so many awkward moments when i think about it what's like one that stands out though shit this is like you guys would want to know this too I don't want to let you down right now something awkward like I can't think of something where I've like shit my pants in public or something you know what I mean like I can't I can't think of something that's like oh
Starting point is 00:31:32 that's awkward um I guess okay this is the most common awkward situation I've been in in the past this would happen a lot where I would be like this side chick oh my god no should I say this okay it'd be like if I'm hanging out with a bunch of people at a party and there's a girl there that I know's like hooking up the guy I'm hooking up with or like past they had past history and I'm there too and like we know about each other but like it's like we don't talk like it's like we both know but we don't just like do you guys know what I'm talking about I feel like that's that's always awkward if there's some sort of like like I don't want to say triangle but some sort of like situation like that that's when shit's been awkward in my life um I guess I don't
Starting point is 00:32:22 know I'm trying to think of something embarrassing but I really can't oh when I got asked to homecoming in front of the whole fucking school at an assembly and everyone was chanting my name it was like my um friend Stefan he asked me to homecoming and I had no clue like I was I had no clue I don't even think we were talking that much or I wasn't really close friends with him or liked him or anything it was very random like that's a fun thing about homecoming is it would be a surprise right well a lot of times it was a surprise for me and um yeah the whole school was like Jacqueline Monroe clap clap clap clap and then he came out in the middle of the basketball court at an assembly the giant sign that said homecoming and I had to like awkwardly walk down
Starting point is 00:33:09 and say yes and then had to like do it in front of the entire school and then I had to go back to my seat and it was just like this it felt so awkward and I was so insecure in high school and so like I was probably like embarrassed by my outfit I chose to wear that day and I don't know so like yeah that was probably awkward um anyways let's do another question this is kind of a fun idea. Just use this journal for topic ideas to talk about. Ooh, have you ever burned a bridge you wish you could rebuild? Where did that question go? What's like the technical definition of burning a bridge? Let me look this up. I should know this. Burning a bridge. Meaning. Because I want to get this right. To destroy one's path, connections, reputation, opportunities,
Starting point is 00:33:59 etc particular intentionally you're dismissed from a job in the worst way take care not burn to not burn your bridges so I've always left everything with class and uh as a steam or no poise like every job I've quit well excuse me the fucking text that immature text I sent to quit my job not super classy right but you know what I was like I'm this age I'm not gonna say what when this was I don't like to talk about timelines so then you could add it up with who I'm talking about but um I was like I'm this age I'm being spontaneous I don't care and but I'd say most of the things I part ways with I'm very like poised and classy about it but I did I don't know this is considered burning a bridge but I I guess ghosted a friend who I was really close with
Starting point is 00:34:52 for pretty much my whole life after a situation I I just could not uns like I was just so it I felt like the relationship was it was toxic because I always felt like she was jealous and and insecure about being like friends with me or something so I would just be me right and if I you know what it came down to this sounds I don't know how to this is a thing is I have empathy because I know there's a lot of people out there that are like they've did they deal with this and I've even dealt with this with other like with my other like girlfriends but I think it came down to a situation we were in McDonald's in LA and she there's two guys like we went there to use the bathroom we were just hanging out in LA and she we came out of the bathroom this is such a dumb
Starting point is 00:35:47 reason I don't feel like is this even burning a bridge I don't know I'm just telling the story I remember I was so like just kind of pissed on her reaction about this because there's two guys like just not even hot or just like two like I don't know two guys sitting there eating their McDonald's as we were walking out of the bathroom one of the guys like cat called me and said like oh I want her like I want I like that one or something like that just something and I like barely heard it I just like what I didn't even like acknowledge it or know I like heard it but I like kept walking I don't know I just didn't I didn't give it energy or talk to them and it was crazy because we got in the car and she had a full-on fucking meltdown about it and she's
Starting point is 00:36:29 like I think it's so disgusting how men put women in competition with each other by catcalling one of them and not the other and making the one girl who didn't get catcalled uh feel like shit about herself basically saying that like the guy's preference of saying like he liked me was putting women in competition with each other and that was wrong and she went on this whole monologue and broke down about it and I felt like that was really the tipping point about of our relationship because you know when it's like when we were in Vegas together when we I don't know if I should be telling all this to the internet I don't know if I don't even know she's listening I wish her well like I I'm pretty neutral at this point like we don't we're not we don't have a relationship
Starting point is 00:37:10 anymore like a close friendship but I just couldn't deal with this shit it felt like the whole relationship yeah like when we were in Vegas we were at parties in college it was always this weird competition or jealousy like if about getting attention and I don't know so I don't know that's burning a bridge I just we why the relationship kind of faded away that's pretty much what happened so I don't know if I answered that correctly but hey you just got another juicy story out of Jacqueline I need drink of water I mean like I said I wish her well I have no ill feelings towards her I just couldn't as a friend you know I'm an you know I think when you become an adult you start to it you have to make decisions like that and I couldn't I just
Starting point is 00:37:52 couldn't do it any longer um all right let's do another question how are you guys doing how's your Friday? I don't know. Let's see here. What did you do last weekend? I'm not answering that question. Y'all know what I did. I podcasted. Oh, have you ever experienced something that could not be logically explained? Let's answer that. Okay. So have you ever experienced something that could not be logically explained? I feel like this happens to me all the time where I'm like this is a coincidence this is crazy this is like whoa you know what I mean and I don't know if I want to tell this story because I don't know if he's even listening it has to do with like a guy story but I had this really serendipitous situation happen
Starting point is 00:38:40 where is that even the right word serendipitous something by chance anyways um I went to a concert one time and like and I was talking to this guy and then we met and then he like went away I don't want to like say any details but basically it was like we met it was like holy shit I'm in love with you like it was a really hot like with that I met him and I it's not like I believe in love at first sight but when you meet someone you're like holy shit like whoa you know what I mean that it was like one of those chem like when you have chemistry with someone that hard it's like I don't have that all the time and I I don't know so I met him and then like he went away and then you know whatever and it's crazy how like I made a decision so like I was at a
Starting point is 00:39:29 concert and I didn't talk to him or anything ever and I like literally showed up late to this thing and I would like I didn't go there like when the concert started and I happened to walk in and see him and I didn't even know he was in town or anything like that is this this is a dumb story this is like some fucking like romance novel podcast now Jesus Christ but like it's weird when shit like this happens to me because I feel like it happens a lot especially around maybe it's because I'm like oh everything has everything happens for a reason or whatever but I feel like shit like this happens around guys a lot I don't know why maybe it's because I'm very I'm like a hopeless romantic and everything about my life is about like I just want to fall
Starting point is 00:40:18 in love and I just want to like meet the love of my life and everything's a movie you know what I mean so I'm making this so in my head I'm like this cannot be logically explained like this is too much of a serendipitous thing but I show up late and he happens to be walking in at the same fucking time so I was like this is weird and I didn't say hi to him like I saw him but I didn't say hi and then um anyways I was with some friends there and I like went to it's a huge place we were at for this concert I don't like I said I'm not saying details or anything but you could I could have sat anywhere I could have been anywhere in the entire joint and I happened to be right in front of him the whole fucking time and like that's weird you know what I mean
Starting point is 00:41:02 like whoa and then it turned it turned out where my friends wanted to go to this bar it was like a drive away after the show like they wanted to go and go out and it was like it was like a weird to get an uber right to like go to this place and for whatever reason I decided like no I want to go like I want to be I want to go say hi to my I used to host us at a restaurant where I used to live and I saw some friends there at this other bar closer to the concert and everything so I was like oh I'm gonna um hang with my friends here and I stay there and then and it was crazy because then we ended up running into each other and he like came in and it was like weird how that worked because you know when you have like no clue and you just like all of a sudden you like see someone
Starting point is 00:41:45 you haven't seen in so long and it's like whoa so that's another juicy story I guess but um anyways I don't know if I should explain how that night ended because it was kind of um I don't know. It was interesting. It's almost night's end. Interesting. So I hope he's doing well. If you're out there listening, I don't know if you know who you are, but that was a weird situation. It's very serendipitous. All right. Next question. What gets your creative juices following shut the fuck up journal it's my podcast dude um let's see here name a popular product with a major design flaw how would you correct or improve this item popular product with a major design flaw oh dude pickle jars those lids they need to loosen the fuck up they tighten
Starting point is 00:42:52 those lids on too tight and I'm a girl I mean I got a pretty decent I mean I've been lifting weights lately I feel like my grip strength is coming back but I struggle I struggle with jar lids especially pickle jars in fact you guys know this I don't know if you know this actually I don't think I've told you that my, um, God, I'm still leaning to the right. My back is starting to hurt. I should sit up straight. Um, my favorite, well, the, the jar, the pickle, I use a pickle jar to drink my iced coffee on, on this podcast every day. You can go watch on YouTube today. I have a Mason jar that I use, but it's empty. Cause you guys know, I cut myself off no more coffee, but, um, I like somehow got the pickle stank out of a jar and, but what has a,
Starting point is 00:43:33 what has a design flaw? I could, let's see about the iPhone. I don't know. I'm pretty content with all my devices. Like they're, they're, I mean, my American made cars a piece of shit, but whatever. Um, okay. So let's do another question. Maybe I'll wrap this up because I'm recording this kind of late. I exerted my body so hard to be an adult this morning and take care of all my chores and I'm starting to get the hunger pains boy I've answered some of these in the past it's funny to read what I wrote like I think I got this journal in like 2016 it's when I graduate college but it says 500 writing problems on the front but I answered something in here it's like name something that feels right every time you do
Starting point is 00:44:20 it. And I wrote yoga with a heart. True. Um, name something unproductive you love doing while at work. I don't know. That's dumb. What makes you feel invincible? Okay. This not to get deep, but like, I feel like I might as well. I think it's what makes me feel invincible is what I mentioned earlier about taking making a decision to have full possession of myself by practicing honesty and vulnerability every single day of the week on a podcast I feel invincible I feel like whoever I come across and meet I'm so like in tune with me and my my thoughts and ideas and my opinion of myself and everything because I talk about it every day and I feel like that I'm I'm making myself bulletproof I'm really setting myself up for life here by doing this and
Starting point is 00:45:22 I honestly can't recommend it enough I established the fact that I've been distracted by other people's lives through viewing their stories every day on social media and this stuff and I've followed so many youtubers for so long I like check up on everyone else so I'm deciding I'm like I'm becoming I'm taking my power back I'm taking full possession of myself I want to own this choice to be a daily podcaster and really get to know myself. So I think the question was, what makes you feel invincible? Podcasting. It's crazy to think that. And I mean, I wrote here, because I wrote this already. I answered this question already a couple of years ago. I wrote, running my lungs out in the rain like I could go forever. That does make me feel invincible.
Starting point is 00:46:07 that's what I miss about um being home in Washington is rain runs like there's something about running in the pouring down rain that is so like you feel like a superhero oh another thing I wrote here this is so me 2016 looking hot and knowing it as I walk into a room Jesus Christ that does make you feel invincible though girls out there know this like when you when you when you dress up and go out at night and feel and you're feeling so good about yourself you're like I look hot I feel hot I'm like feeling myself you walk into a room you go out somewhere and you're just like you feel invincible I think that is the one of the most that's one of my favorite feelings of like you know put on a dress and heels makeup done hair done everything like
Starting point is 00:46:51 you look good smell good feel good everything and you're just like tan and sparkly and oh I love that shit that's one of the best feelings you feel so invincible and you got your friends around. You're having a good time. I'm really reminiscing now because it's been a while, but anyways, let's do, excuse me, let's do one more question, but let's, this will be the last question. I'll wrap up the podcast. I think I might check out some DMs though to round this out. I don't know. Let's see. I'm trying to, I'm like not doing what I said earlier. I was going to randomly select a question. Describe your brainstorm sessions. Oh yeah. Maybe that's interesting. Okay. I'll finish that. My brainstorm session. So as you guys know, I'm a daily
Starting point is 00:47:53 podcaster, but I've been doing this for my whole life pretty much, or like pretty much since college I guess like I didn't do this much in high school but I when I think something I write it like that or else I'll forget it so my brainstorm session is like throughout the day I'll be like oh I had this thought and then I go on my notes on my phone and I write it so or what I do and I did this a lot during quarantine this year which was great I actively decided I made a decision to do things in silence so instead of like this morning when I listened to the morning toast podcast and did my dishes throughout quarantine a lot of the times I would decide I'm just going to do this in silence and that's when shit would come to mind in
Starting point is 00:48:42 fact I started my YouTube channel because of that actually I had a thought like Jacqueline what the fuck, it's 2020. Let's document your quarantine experience. Let's make a YouTube channel. And that happened. It came out of silence. A lot of my ideas. Oh, the, the thing I did this summer on my Instagram, which is like, so try hard, but I did the whole take what you need section on my, uh, like I posted a picture and I listed out all this helpful information for people under it that came out of silence. So my brainstorming sessions are best done when I'm just thinking and I'm quiet and it's usually before bed an ideal will pop up and I write it down I write everything down and I don't know it's what I do I don't go like like before a podcast you don't
Starting point is 00:49:29 sit down and go oh what I want to talk about today if I have an idea it's like I've already thought of it I wrote it down the day before that happens like all day long I'm writing notes on my phone I'm like guys I have a whole like I'm on episode 36 now holy shit 36 episodes in 36 days yeah oh I forgot to talk about this see this is on the note for episode 36 and this will be the final thing I talk about today I had a thought last night how it's no surprise to me hold on I need water it's really no surprise to me that I'm doing this podcast thing and I'm like building out a little studio around me and and you know talking on a microphone because
Starting point is 00:50:15 I've been in studios my whole life I had that thought last night I'm like look I sit on my dad's lap in his studio we had one at home we always had a little editing studio for him because of his job and sit on his lap and watch him edit he had a I remember we had like a soundproof booth like built out something in in one of the first houses I live in lived in I really can remember being in there I was always around like studio shit like equipment cameras and then that continued into high school I was always on the yearbook committee and we had studios and equipment every year green screens that all that so I was always around that in high school and then in college I went into broadcasting I was in studios in classrooms I was studying abroad at you know
Starting point is 00:51:05 going to the BBC and like I was always in a studio I was on the radio in college even like for a temporary time and then my jobs like when I worked at MoveU like I helped build out a studio in our new office like I was around filming all the time and so I don't know that's a thought I had I was like it's kind of not that side sideways that I did this or it's not out of the blue it makes sense it feels comfortable I feel like I'm at home I even said I think two days ago I'm like podcasting is the closest I'll ever feel to flying in my life because I turn on this microphone and I talk every day and I just feel like this is it bitch you're you're an eagle you are soaring you're in the flow you're home and uh it's I not to get emotional I don't want
Starting point is 00:51:56 to get emotional. No, I don't want to get emotional, but I've struggled for so long identifying my purpose and identifying what I'm here to do. And I don't know my life before this. I've done this 36 days in a row, but I look back at myself before this and I go, okay, Jacqueline, you were coming up, you know, out of some depression. You were working with the therapist for the first time. We were kind of getting your shit together. And, um, you know I was still just kind of churning my wheels not really getting anywhere spinning like a top and now I feel like I'm actually I've I got my skin in the game I'm got my claws in the sand or whatever they say and I just feel like my life is actually going somewhere now I really feel like
Starting point is 00:52:42 this is this is it and that's cool it's cool to feel like you're doing what you should be doing and you don't want to do anything else so oh like I would and this is the thing I want this for everyone you know I want this for everyone I've I've always done the thing that I thought would I thought okay this is a safe and secure thing to do this is the this is the I'm impressing my parents thing to do this is yeah and I I don't know I've I've completely divorced all those ideas I've said look adulthood is knocking on my door in 2020 everything is accelerating because I've had all this alone time all this thinking time and adulthood's knocking it's like Jacqueline figure it out make a decision and I made a choice here I am seven days a week so
