If you wanna play tough and wanna hate this, I'll always show up and make a statement. Hey, what's up? It's Jacqueline. Welcome back to the show. how's your holy week is it holy week are we in uh what do the religions do this week i know i'm a i'm a i'm a catholic i believe this is holy week holy week 2024 googling now um should have this
Starting point is 00:00:45 in my head before holy week 2024 sunday march 24th through saturday march 30th absolutely i was correct. Happy Holy week. Uh, sweet. Uh, I do celebrate Easter. My mother is coming into town on Sunday. We're going to do an Easter brunch with Corey's family. Uh, his sister's also in town with her family. So, um, with the kids, which will be exciting. We'll see them too. We'll do a little Easter egg hunt. The whole thing. I don't, I said, I said I'd go to church with my mom and I forgot to look up a Catholic church around here. Cause obviously, um, if you're, if you're new, we just moved to a new neighborhood. Me and Corey, my fiance here in San Diego, we moved to a new house. Um, we bought a home together and yeah, I need to find a potentially
Starting point is 00:01:38 find a Catholic church to, uh, to, to go to for Easter mass. Cool. So I have a, I have a great show for you today um I really do like I think it's because there's a lot of terrible things happening in the world and um I'm excited to talk about all of them so not only are there like I don't know 10 to 15 terrible things to talk about uh global news wise I also have a lot of fun life updates. Um, I want to cover a little wedding planning, some house updates, um, my new podcast studio updates. Cause you know, we moved. So now I have a new space to podcast because before we were living in a one bedroom apartment and I was basically in the corner at a desk, um, you know, with a lot of echoey windows around me and, um, hashtag blessed. We have
Starting point is 00:02:36 leveled up in this life and I pinch myself every day so how are you by the way how are you let me check in how's life how's your are you just in a trance like me about life like or like time because like it's literally it's like April basically and um you're probably growing up with me if you started this show back in 2020 you're definitely growing up with me um you know it's a weird like post pandemic like world we live in now and I don't know it's just like I just I don't know like I just have such a weird feeling about life like and just like the times you know I think everyone's feeling that obviously with like AI now like I know I told you a few episodes a few episodes to go to like get your shit together educate yourself on AI because
Starting point is 00:03:26 it's coming bitch like we got to be prepared because you know it's better to like know about it and it's probably smart to like start investing in AI and uh have I done any of that have I practiced what I preached um no and uh that's a whole nother topic for that's a different topic for a different day um the whole like plate so full doing it all um living living my best life and not having time for um it feels like yeah so much to do so little time cool anyways please hit that subscribe button wherever you're listening right now i'm on apple spotify google podcast hit your breaker overcast wherever you listen to podcasts please hit that subscribe button uh this is a weekly podcast uh about my life it's about uh it's the jacqueline monroe show it's uh
Starting point is 00:04:16 if you're if you're not familiar basically i popped this off started it back in yeah 2020 and it was a passion passion project situation for 300 days in a row and now it's a weekly podcast and we cover pop culture we cover news we cover my life and my life updates and what I'm doing you guys have kind of been there through it all from me being like a depressed bleach blonde piece of well I don't want to say a piece of trash but like at that point in my life I kind of was so you've seen this like arc this hero's journey and um now it's a lot of life updates about yeah wedding planning and buying a house and settling down so yay um progress not perfection but um I basically live a perfect life now so um I'm just kidding I don't know like I really want
Starting point is 00:05:09 to I feel like on paper everything looks perfect but like I want to tell you like a lot of this shit is hard um I am seeing a therapist once a week now this is not the plug I like went from please hit that subscribe button and review the show actually I forgot to ask you to review the show to hi guys I'm going to therapy now because while my life looks perfect it's actually not because I'm actually mentally struggling with a lot of things specifically my relationship with my father who's not attending my wedding and navigating that so yeah please please review the show one of the best things you can do for me is review the show give it a five-star review on spotify or apple uh that helps me out helps people find out about the show so before you
Starting point is 00:05:51 continue listening please review the show five stars subscribe to it and yeah let's get into the life updates real quick so uh housewise this week hold on i'm gonna set the scene well i'm gonna i'm gonna tell you when i'm drinking i'm back on my cold brew bullshit cold brew shit so um sorry that sounded tacky and i kind of like second-guessed myself i'm back on drinking cold brew and um i love it so i'm drinking a i'm drinking a starbucks cold cold brew i think it cost me for a grande like five dollars so uh yeah i keep seeing price like every time i get coffee where we were getting coffee the other day and it was like $14.99 I swear we got two black
Starting point is 00:06:46 coffees like legit so that place does have a good punch card though because you spend or no you buy like or if you get 10 stamps or 10 punches you get $10 off like just a crazy amount to get off at a coffee shop but so yeah this week in house updates were um yesterday we had a crew come back or come through come to fuck we had a crew come and clear out our backyard so we have a huge plot back there that's basically an empty canvas or a blank canvas to kind of do anything with and um when we moved in it was really overgrown there was a lot of um there's like bamboo growing and just a lot of like weedy like grassy stuff like weird orange flowers and um beautiful flowers but you know just not
Starting point is 00:07:48 good for a backyard um so we had a guy he was weed whacking the whole thing he used a weed Wacker on I don't know how many acres that is I don't think it's even an acre I think it's like 0.7 of an acre of a backyard which for where we live is pretty substantial we do have the best house in the neighborhood you're not should I say we live in a beautiful neighborhood our street this won't give it away unless you like literally drive through our neighborhood like you don't want to have the best house in the neighborhood for many reasons like you just don't you don't want to buy the best house but like we are surrounded by people that I think have just given up in life no that's so rude but like like they're just they don't care about
Starting point is 00:08:29 landscaping they don't care it just doesn't they just don't put in you can just tell like they let their lawns overgrow in the front they like um which is so wild because you literally turn the corner and it's like beautiful perfectly landscaped like yeah it's weird it's just weird how like our street ended up being like the one that all the people that live here are like kind of not into and you know I was I actually pulled out of the driveway the other day other day and I was telling Corey because our neighbor like lets their front yard overgrowth really bad and um it's kind of annoying because it's like it's next door to us and I was kind of like making a comment about it and you know I was like they're really nice people like I've met them they're super nice like you'd
Starting point is 00:09:15 never think anything's wrong but I'm like I was like Corey we're in it you know I kind of feel like you know we're in a mental health crisis like maybe it's like a lot for people to come and landscape and mow their mow their lawn and maybe they're inside all day depressed like I don't know their story and I was trying to like have a heart about it because it's easy for me to judge because I'm super OCD about having like a perfectly landscaped front yard and and everything because I'm obviously we just bought this place and I take a lot of pride in it and I like I want it to look beautiful. So anyways, um, yeah, we were having a, we had a crew come clear out the backyard and then they also cut down a huge yucca tree. I think it's called a yucca tree.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Am I recording? Yeah. Okay. Hi. Year four are still looking for, are still, still asking if I'm still recording. Still it's every episode. Am I recording? The two things I say every episode, I say a lot of, I repeat myself a lot. There's like phrases I always say. And my still recording happens at least once an episode. And then at the end of the episode, I say, I don't know how to end this. And then I'll talk for another 15 minutes. And then I'll say again, I don't know how to end this. And then I'll go on another tangent and I'll say, okay, I think I'm okay. It's finally the end. I finally finished. And then I am the episode. So, um, but yeah, we had a yucca tree removed, which is kind of sad because it was a really nice, big,
Starting point is 00:10:45 robust palm tree looking thing. And, um, we're going to do, uh, yeah, we have, we have so many people we've had, I don't know, like, I swear it's like every other day, Corey's like, yeah, we're having a landscaper come by eight or like nine or, oh honey, by the way, someone's going to stop by at five 30 to take a look at the yard and measure it. And like every day he's like showing me design pictures someone drew up for him and I'm like how it's we're getting but the thing is is like we we want to get it's a it's a it's kind of a guys I really wanted to talk about this Baltimore Bridge and I feel like I'm going off on I'm in the weeds about landscaping a backyard like what do you want from me like what do I want to do um basically like we want to get
Starting point is 00:11:33 it right okay so uh now side quest side tangent here let's put a pin in the house updates for two seconds because I want to wet your whistle a little bit about the upcoming news topics that I really want to deep dive into so uh a lot happened in the last like couple weeks week uh in the world and it's crazy like okay so we have uh kate middleton has cancer diddy's house was raided a cargo ship hit a bridge in baltimore uh we got a moscow a moscow russia mass shooting the ceo of boeing steps down and uh risa tisa can shop at target now i want to tell you about the video she posted it made me want to cry and I was like that woke me the fuck up to my uh not I'm not gonna say white privilege I'm not gonna make it about race because she happens to be a
Starting point is 00:12:31 black woman I happen to be a white woman but like it woke me up to just like okay like again we're on a side quest we're this is what I do when I podcast I love it it's like candy land we're going through all these chutes and ladders or whatever we're going down the path and we're It's twisty turny, topsy-turvy, twisty turny, and I always get back to, I will get back, I already remembered when I said this, the house updates, okay? Anyways, Risa Tisa, I talked about her last week. She did a 52-part series on TikTok, 10-minute video. Each video was 10 minutes, and she did a 52-part series called Who the Fuck Did I Marry?
Starting point is 00:13:11 about her pathologically-like ex-husband, and I talked about her, okay? so last week if you want to hear about that or if you're curious go listen last week's episode anyways I still follow her on TikTok and a video popped up and she was like prefacing it with like this is a big day oh my god I did my hair I put on a nice outfit you know oh my god I'm like so excited like I can't believe I'm finally here in life like I made it oh my god and she literally was like I can go into Target and shop now and I don't have to worry about it like I can go and I can shop at Target and she's like I know you some ladies out there you probably don't understand you know you probably don't get it because you're probably shopping at Target every week and I'm
Starting point is 00:13:56 just nodding my head like it's me hi hi hi I'm getting that Starbucks I'm pushing that red red car through to through uh Target like once a week okay um more like once a month it's not that often but and I was like holy shit like she's like yeah I finally stepped up from Walmart and she's like I can't wear my um pjs in here you know I had to dress up I had to do my hair I can't wear a bonnet I was like fuck like it just like I'm like it really puts things in perspective for you when you see someone like actually say that someone who you're like I have a big heart for obviously I listened to her whole story I think it was like eight hours of my life I was glued to her story about her ex-husband and I was like damn like just something as simple as like feeling confident and
Starting point is 00:14:45 feeling like that you can go into target and get what you want and like you know even just walking she made it like she basically was like she made it seem like um she was excited about the fact she could even walk in the door like before she didn't feel like she was even qualified or even like like good enough for whatever she felt judged if she walked in there before but now she's like no i can i can hang with these starbucks drinking karens out here at fucking or whatever i don't know um what's like the black woman equivalent to a karen because i feel like karen karens are all white ladies you know like is there a is there an equivalent i guess they're all karens it doesn't i always say like i'm not trying to make this like a well i just don't like
Starting point is 00:15:38 to label race for any reason because I feel like it's so irrelevant and so stupid but um I don't know I was just thinking like yeah um I'm sure there's they call them something so um back to the house updates or do you want me to continue listing off uh the news topics I think we those are the ones I'm going to talk about okay um the one that's especially crazy to me is uh Diddy's house getting raided for uh potential like sex trafficking or something like like that so um okay so back to the house updates the next update I have really quickly I'm just I'm gonna knock this out So I cracked this week and I said, my mother's coming. I never say mother. I don't know why I'm
Starting point is 00:16:33 saying that today. My mom's coming into town this weekend. I want it to be nice. And so I literally went ham and got drapes for every single room in this house. So it's drapery week. I'm hanging up drapes. I'm not going to go on the rant about my specific harsh opinion, my aggressive opinion about drapes but um like I did on my Instagram story the other other day and basically I have like there's like a look and a feel in 2024 that you want to strive for and if you're still using grommets like and like shoving the fabric of the curtain through the rod in 2024 like stop you know it just doesn't look as good as it could if you just took a little more time and did a little more research on how to like put a little uh French curtain ring in there and I said French
Starting point is 00:17:26 curtain ring as if it's some bougie thing they're fucking like $6.98 for a pack of 40 on Amazon okay it's just about the look and the aesthetic so anyways we're hanging drapes this week we're getting the backyard cleared out we're getting land landscapers architects whatever they're coming by to like tell us how we should do it because it's it's a ski slope did I did I mention that our backyard is really slopey so we're having we need to figure out how we can make it like functional and then finally in the house updates we're having like a bunch of storage shelving cupboards drawers workbench stuff put in the garage so um yeah it's a lot of fun there's like a lot going on this week and we're also having our um a crew come by tomorrow to put in
Starting point is 00:18:12 our olive tree we're doing like an an olive tree in the front with some white roses and we've got um I forget the name of the flowers we have cypress trees we have blue fescue grass we have boxwoods we've got um yeah just like a whole like Mediterranean vibe going on in the front because it matches the Spanish style um architecture really well like I feel like it flows and another opinion see it's like I just I just have so many strong opinions about like interior design and like out like landscaping and and I'm um I just give a fuck I'm passionate I like what I like and anyways a lot of the people or a lot of the home I won't make it about like people a lot of the landscaping in Southern California is very and I get it because
Starting point is 00:19:08 it's dry here we're in a desert you know this is low maintenance it's like less to keep up with but a lot of the homes here have like super desert-y um like foliage or cactuses I don't know how to explain it where it's like aloe vera things and like um I don't even know what these things are they're like snake plants and like I guess palm tree type thing I don't know everything's very like desert deserty and it just kind of like looks and and a lot a lot of the times they'll literally just like put their put rocks in their front yard so like their whole front yard is just rocks and like cactuses and I guess some people are into that fine you do you live and let live but I just can't. And, um, yeah. Why did I say that? I forgot. I, okay. I did. I did just lose
Starting point is 00:20:04 my train of thought, but anyways. Yeah. I, uh, we're doing a little, like we're doing a lush Mediterranean vibe and, um, yeah, it's going to look really pretty. So next up for wedding planning. So we're getting married later this year and I keep thinking about my dress like I think about my dress probably three times a day honestly like I'm just so obsessed and there's a specific picture I took of myself in the dress that I go back to all the time and something I've learned is that when I go on my camera roll and I go to the album titled dress with a little like wedding girl emoji bride emoji when I click on that album and I look at the picture of myself in the dress
Starting point is 00:20:54 a lot of the times I just like exit out of my photos right and now if you know anything about obviously you're addicted to your phone and you know how it works and you probably have an iphone I'm assuming um if you go back to the photo album it'll just pull that picture right up it won't go to like the recent it won't show all the albums or like it won't show like the recent folder it'll just go to the picture you had pulled up last so I've learned my lesson where I'll check that picture out a lot of times like what did I say like three times a day sometimes like Cory will ask me like hey can you send me a picture of the backyard or hey can you send me um like whatever something house related usually or a picture of the dog I took and
Starting point is 00:21:37 and he'll be like next to me and then I'll like click my photos then there's me in the fucking dress so like I've had to like throw my phone against the wall like just so he doesn't see it and he's like super like I don't want to know anything don't he he doesn't even like it when I talk about my wedding dress like he doesn't even or any wedding dresses like I follow this really fun reddit it's called like wedding dresses I don't know and people post like their the decisions or they post their options like help me pick out my wedding dress and it's really fun because um I don't know I just like I just like following it and um I can even show him like I'll be on reddit and I'll show him like dresses or like I'll be like oh my god look at this one or
Starting point is 00:22:16 whatever or something crazy because some people post like they're just like the most wild wedding dresses on there and he like doesn't want to hear it like he doesn't even want to imagine a wedding dress until he actually sees me in person in it like from now until the wedding he's like I don't want to see a white dress I don't care if it's a summer dress I don't care if it's a wedding dress I don't care like I don't even want to see you in like a white bathing like nothing until we're getting no I'm kidding but um a white apron like no um I think he's really like he wants it to be special and I I'm the same way like I don't want to even spoil it so um but yeah so this week we're meeting we're meeting our florist tonight to go over just like finalizing everything um
Starting point is 00:23:06 we should I tell you what we're gonna do flower wise I mean I started off thinking I wanted a lot of color and then I've slowly kind of taken that away um and I I feel like it classes it up a lot when you don't have a ton of like colors going on and big loose arrangements that are like yeah like six colors because I don't know um it's a it's a vibe it's a look and I think for our venue and for our vibe my dress and you know what he's gonna wear and then what our guests are gonna wear I think it's gonna be a better option to have less color some color but not like full-on so um also I reached out to and I'm so behind the ball I fucked up I fucked up with my hair and makeup okay two makeup artists that I really wanted to to do my makeup said no to me because
Starting point is 00:24:07 they're booked on the weekend I'm getting married and um I'm kicking myself because literally the first one I reached out to said she was available like back in December when I asked and I didn't lock it in so that's my it's just so classic right like so like come on Jacqueline like but I remember trying to like figure out I was like pricing it out and I was like oh it's kind of expensive and I was like I don't know I was just kind of like about it like the price because I was like oh my god I can't but now I'm kicking myself because now I'm like basically here's my credit card like fuck whatever I don't care like here just take it like I'm getting married like at this point we just have to get it done you know what I mean like I'm a little desperate so I don't
Starting point is 00:24:46 care at this point just here you go I think that's how everyone gets when they're like getting closer to the wedding you're just like yeah we're gonna need a napkin sure here here's 10 grand or whatever the fuck it called like not really but I think that happens closer to the wedding like you can be a little more or you can be conscientious the whole way through don't get me wrong but there there is an element of like fuck it when you're doing your wedding because you're like I want it to be great and you're kind of like weighing out in your head like what do I want to splurge on what do I not care about and I'm just kind of like I want it all but I also feel like guilty about how much it costs uh we are having a small wedding though so it definitely
Starting point is 00:25:30 helps with the cost anyways so the florist is going down this week um we're meeting with her again and oh hair and makeup I have to find a new I have to find new people now and I'm like kind of sweating because um the ones I reached out to were like the goats of or their style of makeup is exactly what I like especially because of um like I don't want to look I feel like people always say oh you want to look like yourself at your wedding which I get like yeah you want to look like yourself but I want to be because when I do my makeup when I'm done up it's like glam you know it's like soft glam that's what I want I want soft glam I don't want like clean girl makeup you know like I don't want like oh just little
Starting point is 00:26:17 rosy cheek and a little a little like mascara and a little like light pink gloss like no I want a full beat on my wedding day okay I want a full beat um it just goes like you know that like bold glamour filter everyone's like on TikTok everyone's like okay if you look good with this like this means you can do a lot of makeup and you're like your face or however your features are set up like you can handle a lot of makeup on your face but if you do that filter and you look ridiculous then and you're like about it when you put it on like you probably should do like you're probably a light makeup person I just happen to be someone who can like go super hard and not that I'm good not that I'm gonna have a fucking black smoky eye on my wedding day not even close to that but
Starting point is 00:27:01 um I just know how things photograph and how I want to look and it's definitely going to be more on the glam side than on the like fresh like light bobby brown like I don't know here's just pop a little pot concealer on that little discoloration on your cheek and put a gloss on and get married bitch it's like no okay we're fucking we're fucking Kim K in 2016 or I'm gonna do no I'm kidding the triangle concealer under my eyes and fucking a winged eyeliner that touches the tail of my eyebrow and like anastasia beverly hills like pot what's that uh the fucking the brow gel like wait that pot of brow gel that everyone used to have um i'd always steal my friends because like or i'd use whenever we were together i'd like use theirs because it's so good and i never
Starting point is 00:27:55 got it for myself and it's like anyways I always think about that I still haven't I still literally just use eyeshadow like literally it's like just get a dedicated like brow uh pomade or whatever like just do it like it's come on like I literally use like a Milani dark brown to fill in my brows and like a little brow gel from NYX so cool um hair and makeup oh and then we tasted cupcakes last weekend was it yeah and oh my god i'm gonna give them i'm gonna plug them right now so pure cupcakes capital p capital u capital r capital e okay they were on cupcake wars in 2013 and they won okay so that's all you need to know and we sat down with um i think i believe she's the owner yes mary and we asked her about her story and she told me her background and she like
Starting point is 00:28:51 grew up in eastern Washington and she made a bunch of like pies with her grandma and her aunts and uncles I don't even know sure men can make pies too I don't know why I just cross them off the fucking list there but anyways I was like I'm from Washington you remind me of my aunt that can bake like amazingly and I was like oh my god this all tracks because every single cupcake that you have at their place is a 10 out of 10 they knock it out of the park every time the flavors the moisture the the details it they're I I told her to her face I said you're undeniable you've done it like you've like that's the goal like you want to be so good at whatever you do podcasting baking cupcakes golf I'm looking at things around my room right here um uh curtain design like
Starting point is 00:29:49 whatever you do be undeniable that's what you should strive for you speak your work speaks for itself her cupcakes speak for themselves no wonder she's so successful with them and she has such a great um I mean she caters all kinds of corporate events and she was telling us like her you know all the big events she does and it was it was really cool and um anyways I love so I am a I am a to my core I am a gluttonous I'm a gluttonous fucking pig I am a gluttonous fat kid I am a I am the kid in Matilda eating the chocolate cake I am him underneath all this underneath this facade of a semi, I don't know, pretty fit, you know, bod. I am fat as fuck deep down. Okay. That means, okay. That's why I had to scratch the first place we went and go to
Starting point is 00:30:54 with pure cupcakes. The first place we went, most people that are like, Oh, I don't like sweets that much. Or like, they're like, Oh, I'm not really into frosting. Or they're like, Oh, you know, it's like and whatever I feel like Corey kind of teeters on that he's like I don't think he's full I'm more like his best friend his best friend actually put us onto this place this pure cupcakes place one thing I fucking love about his best friend is that you're guaranteed every time you go to his house to have a really yummy gluttonous sweet fucking treat okay he's he just he can put it down okay he's the kind of guy that doesn't get one uh fro-yo at a time he's getting like two he's going back for seconds or whatever like he's that kind and I that is me to my core
Starting point is 00:31:39 and so I just I relate to that so much and so um like hey let's go like let's go get donuts and let's eat all of them you know he's that kind of guy so um this first place we went was like it was good it was passable it was like but it didn't do that thing to me you know where you're like fuck like you're like as you're eating you're like oh my fucking god like that's the kind of reaction I know it's like not that big of a deal because it's like okay it's gonna be for the wedding reception and people are gonna be already full off of food and alcohol like the sweet part like I personally if I'm drinking and partying I don't want a cupcake like I'm not really into like sweets um you know it's like for me I like it's either gonna be the alcohol or I'm gonna
Starting point is 00:32:22 just have like food and sugar like it's gotta there's no I don't like to mix all that up so so I'm like what does it really matter this episode is now all about the goddamn cupcakes and I still haven't talked about the Baltimore Bridge I haven't talked about Kate Middleton um anyways so those first cupcakes didn't do that to me so I was like okay I was getting my hair done and thank god I remembered me and my um hair girl Annie she was somehow I didn't even know like how it came up I think she said something that like reminded me of this place and I was like oh fuck we have to go there instead so now we're gonna lock it in with pure cupcakes and we're we had to like oh my god we ate so many like there was probably like 12 and we we had like
Starting point is 00:33:07 four and we're like we're we can't finish this and um you like cut them in half and then you taste them you're like okay this is good but we took them home for the weekend and tomorrow I mean it last they lasted a day they lasted they lasted a day I think I made like a healthy egg white breakfast type situation with like fruit and then immediately just ate cupcakes I was like but it's good like that's my tip like if you're gonna go out go all out on here's your health advice the one and only time I'm gonna mention on this episode because I have so much else to cover one of the best tips if you're if you're like later in the day if you know you're gonna like get a bunch of ice cream or like have a bunch of sweets like a bunch of heavy sugary stuff
Starting point is 00:33:52 like get your eat protein before get protein in your system before and it just helps delay that insulin spike I guess it helps keep your glycemic index you know level or leveler than just having sugar because that's why whenever you just if you wake up and pound a cinnamon roll like or a bunch of donuts you literally want to take a nap at 10 a.m because you're just like but sometimes it's like okay if you had a workout in then you had a bunch of protein like literally a carton of egg whites and then you have the cinnamon roll you wouldn't feel as like shitty and this is like i've i've done this so many times where i'm like it for my body it works like protein before the sugar and um it just levels you out um i think that's what
Starting point is 00:34:38 like diabetics do all the time they're like yeah um just think like a diet think like you have diabetes or I don't think he'd be eating the full fucking cinnamon roll if that was the case but um I don't know I'm there's there's so many times in my life where I'm like I think I'm tip tip tip towing around or I'm I'm teeter-totting on that pre-diabetic line like because sometimes I'll go I've had such an unhealthy past and healthy past and vegan past and anyways um i have a whole entire episode on my by the way not to get like super deep and real but i have overcame i am on the other side i am healed of my slew of eating disorders that i went through as a teen and um early 20s woman and um i'm recovered as of like i would say
Starting point is 00:35:39 it's been like two to three years now probably more like three years but I did an entire episode I think it's like episode 144 or 240 I don't know it's like no it's further it's like two something um that recaps kind of my whole experience and the reason I'm saying that is because like when I said oh I've teetered on being pre-diabetic before like literally I would order entire Domino's pizzas for myself in college and like the entire cookie thing that comes with it and like eat all of it in one sitting or like just buy a box of Krispy Kreme donuts at like a random hour of the day and like just eat all of them and then go to like Vaughn's and get a bunch of like ice cream and cookies and bring that home like walk of shaming in the fucking checkout aisle
Starting point is 00:36:25 like I don't know like oh who's this for like your family of six no it's just for me like i have yeah that that's what i mean where you literally eat it all and you're like i think i'm gonna die like not to get again deep and real but like that's kind of the level it was at like a lot of times i'd be like i think my heart's just gonna stop so um uh eating eating disorders are very real they were very real for me for a very long time and um yeah i just the honestly the only thing that healed me i don't know why this is now this episode but uh hi health and wellness mental health um the time is the best healer and honestly that's my advice like or I think I talked about it talked about my solution I came up with for myself in that episode but like literally
Starting point is 00:37:14 it takes so much time to unwire your brain and to like relearn how to exist around food and like your body and um so yeah um see how we got we're getting cupcakes bitch okay we got the cupcakes lined up um I gotta get the hair and makeup going now podcast studio updates and then we'll get into the new stuff um podcast so I'm getting I'm upgrading my equipment so like just know that the video quality, the sound quality, all that kind of stuff is going to be upgraded, uh, shortly, shortly here. So, um, I'll be back on video soon and, um, yeah, I'm just going to get this space dialed in cause I have the space for it now. And it's like inspiring me to like deck it out and do it right. So, um, yeah, I put really nice curtains up the
Starting point is 00:38:15 other day and um I got to do some like soundproofing too some like sound um boards or whatever they're called um so the only thing that I'm trying to well the number one thing I'm trying to figure out now is cameras because I'm like do I want what do I want the depth of field to be because I feel like most podcasts I watch have like everything in focus like they're using a camcorder not a like a mirrorless or like a DSLR camera where there's a blurry background because you especially if you have guests like I don't know then I'd have to have multiple cameras anyways I'm trying to figure out like what type of camera I want and um I'm doing a ton of research and watching a lot of YouTube videos behind the scenes and so yeah those are the life updates all right
Starting point is 00:39:03 um now I do have something to rant about before maybe we get to the news if that's cool to you um, because I thought about it last night at dinner. We went to Tender Greens for dinner and, um, I got a big ass Cobb salad. Okay. And I was talking to Corey about salads. Cause I'm like, I don't eat salad. Like I used to anymore. Like I used to eat salads like twice a day, you know, like lunch and dinner around the clock. I was a salad chick and I don't really eat salads anymore I mostly eat like roasted vegetables steamed vegetables like meat and like that type of thing like hot if I'm eating veggies it's not a fresh veg it's like a yeah a cooked roasted situation um I still eat salad it's just not around the clock anyways
Starting point is 00:39:59 as I'm saying this to him I just like I thought about the restaurant we went the night before which is great we go there like three times a week like it's our new spot at this in this new neighborhood but I was thinking about the the entree I got I got teriyaki chicken right and um it had a side salad with it now the thing I'm gonna rant about and I'll let me cap it at what two minutes here let's do a two-minute rant on on side salads uh I I don't like a side salad I feel like you know when you have like a you like order whenever you're like at a restaurant they're like okay do you want fries do you want coleslaw do you want mac and cheese like macaroni salad or like a side salad and you say side salad it's always it's always the same thing it's like
Starting point is 00:40:54 you have your like beautiful sandwich and then just dry lettuce with like shredded carrots and some like bullshit like beefsteak tomatoes the wrong tomatoes for a salad maybe they're a cherry tomato if they're like a nice nice place like a half sliced cherry tomato situation like a bullshit beefsteak tomato like micro like diced tomato shredded carrots little purple cabbage it's just like fuck off and then they have like I don't know the audacity to put four tablespoons of ranch in a container on the side of that like it's just and then you like oh and let's do a part two of what I don't like about side salads and salads in general the side salad leaves are way too big so you're like you have your stupid plastic fork I'm thinking of like a to-go container
Starting point is 00:41:44 and you're trying to pick up the leaves you're to eat the side salad and they're just too big and they're dry and you like dunked a bunch of ranch all over it and it's just like not good just get the side of sweet potato fries get what you really want like get the mat the pasta salad whatever like go with the coleslaw it's just such a better experience than a side salad they suck they suck and um I've just never had a good side salad especially like if I'm cooking dinner for people like I don't know it's different when I'm in someone's home and they have a salad on the side but it just doesn't do it for me if I'm eating a salad and shout out tender greens because their cob salad is pretty good a little fatty but very good it's just it's so they they get it right
Starting point is 00:42:34 it's just it's a it's a it's a meal you know that's what I want I want my salad to be a meal I don't want it to be like this little like I need some greens on the side like bullshit no um so yeah I realized last night that I hate side salads or I was reminded that I don't like I just they annoy me and I'm like they're just they're never right an Italian chopped side salad I anything chopped a chopped salad on the side sure okay for me it's about textures it's about distribution of flavor and like moisture on that salad leaf okay and when something's chopped up nicely and it's already been dressed with dressing then you're getting a you're getting a the bite is getting everything you want instead of like yeah a dry giant piece of romaine or
Starting point is 00:43:25 you know arugula or something um yeah like come on um I I chopped my so by the way um pro tip salad pro tip not saying you need to bring a pair of scissors in your purse when you're out to to lunch eating a salad but there are so many so I personally do that in my own home okay if I'm making a salad like I said it's not very often anymore which is really interesting because like I I forgot like last time I was like damn I really love salads like I should eat these more um when I make salads at home I'm taking kitchen scissors out and I'm chopping it up like fine like the salad leaves like you know what I mean um you that's why you don't like so I I guarantee you the reason why you don't like salads is because
Starting point is 00:44:18 of the size of the leaves like it it's just it's so good when it's chopped up and all the stuff's mixed up in it it's like oh my god it's amazing um so yeah there's a lot of moments where I'm at a restaurant and sometimes it's like a really nice restaurant you're like damn I ordered the salad like what the fuck they kind of chopped these up a little smaller and I'm like damn I wish I had some knife I wish I had I wish I had a pair of scissors right now because it's like you're sitting there with your steak knife and you're chopping you're like slicing lettuce it's like no come on it's like you had it's just it's not even that hard to like do but if I was putting a menu together and I was like teaching my chefs like how to make a salad it's like I would be so
Starting point is 00:44:59 adamant about that like these need to be sliced up nice and not like shredded I'm not saying like tiny but just like like make it nice make it like comfortable to stab with a fork where you're not gonna have to open your mouth like a goddamn hippo just to get the leaves inside of you like come on you know um that just reminded me that i was at the orthodontist when i was like in sixth grade and they um not only told me that they could tell i had a tongue thrust by the sound of my voice my orthodontist shout out dr garner which really made me insecure about the sound of my voice for many years um he I believe it was him or maybe it was my Invisalign orthodontist they're like um we've never had to do this we have to go get the double XL
Starting point is 00:45:52 mouth tray to do the impression with because none of these ones we have fit your mouth and dude I'm like not Julia Roberts like I know I have a big mouth but like I was like okay like I was like cool um is that it that's not even an insecurity I don't I don't even think about like oh my mouth is huge but like sometimes like it's kind of I have like a giant I don't know um so yeah that's what pissed me off let's talk about the news okay so literally yesterday I'm watching a video like the first thing I see when I wake up because this happen at like one in the morning I'm just like it's always something it's always you know if 2020 has taught me anything about the world we live in it's it's always something you know
Starting point is 00:46:43 what I mean like literally I clocked in my brain I started clocking major news events in 2020 or like I started like kind of cataloging years that way and thinking about yeah like what's going on in the world in terms of like the year and the news events because it's like again it's always something and that it started for me in 2020 because it was like okay Australia fires okay that's how you started and it's like okay Kobe dies in a helicopter crash okay then it's like the pandemic and then it's like George Floyd and then the Black Lives Matter protests and then it's like holy shit the west coast is on fire and it's just like you know it was like this rhythm in the news cycle of just tragedy and doom and death and and again it's
Starting point is 00:47:31 just it's always something so there i am at fucking five in the morning 5 10 a.m we set our alarm for stupid times like 5 13 alexis set the alarm for 5 13 a.m you know um just it's like what we do 508 a.m 507 a.m 5 14 a.m i just love when cory always does it so like i've always like sometimes I guess what he's gonna say like I'm like okay is he gonna say 510 he's gonna say 513 and so yeah there I am yesterday you know whipping out my iPhone 19 plus I don't even know what number I have I think it's the 14 the latest one um hold on I need a drink of my coffee and I was like no no no this is not happening right I was like I could see it coming I could see what was going on I was like no no no no no no no no no fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck
Starting point is 00:48:20 the bridge is in the water the bridge that just happened I just went and then I then I didn't really like see Baltimore at first so I was like where was this like where I was like no I'm fucking Baltimore Baltimore a major city in the United States not some like small town in the Midwest like bitch this was in Baltimore this was a cargo ship or whatever in Baltimore crashing into a bridge and I was like oh my god and then I like watched it again I was like oh my god just and what are the odds it's like one in the morning you're driving across a bridge like like yeah like all of us have that little fear in the back of our mind like oh you know if you cross a bridge like it could just fall in the water but this it's not like the bridge was
Starting point is 00:48:59 gonna do that all already it was because of fucking cargo ship hit it you know it's like it's just it's awful and i guess so six people are unaccounted for let me get into it so let me just tell you what happened so the dolly a nearly 1 000 foot long container ship registered in singapore this is where it's like what's that movie the end of the world movie where it was like was it julia roberts i can't remember and and the cruise ship like crashed into the this the beach it's like fucking this it appeared to lose power and as it began moving towards the bridge at about eight knots or 9.2 miles per hour it's only going 9.2 miles per hour like that's crazy um those aboard issued a mayday um westmore which gave authorities time to stop the flow of
Starting point is 00:49:50 traffic on the bridge westmore oh i didn't read the sentence correctly those on board issued a mayday said maryland governor westmore which gave authorities time to stop the flow of traffic on the bridge so they stopped the flow of traffic so people are to stop and then it still hit it but like bitch I'd be back in the I would be like put this in reverse I'm going I don't care I'm like oh that's you know what god it's sad like I think six people are dead like I'm not trying to make light of the situation but like literally growing up driving an f-250 to high school every day and having a truck to learn how to drive in if it taught me it forced me to learn how to back up with like you know finesse and here's your tip if you're in a car and this is kind of an ick
Starting point is 00:50:43 oh my god so that because I drove an f-250 and I was like you know fucking farm girl out there like picking up bales of hay for the animals after school and shit um something that unintentionally became an ick for me in my dating career was watching men uh parallel park and um and how and okay so literally okay this is the tip you don't need a backup cam okay you don't need a rear car cam thing you don't need side mirrors okay you need your head on a swivel down the down the back or looking through the back window okay you got your arm on the passenger seat the front passenger seat stretched out you're turning your head to the right you're viewing the what's behind you through the back window your left hand is on the steering wheel and you're just going I literally
Starting point is 00:51:44 one of the most impressive one of the things I was like my this was like my dick has never been bigger in my life now my call I felt I felt so good good about myself the first time I backed out of Cory Cory's parents driveway because it's like you have to kind of like come down a hill and like do a bunch of turns and shit and um I'm literally like first of all I'm driving a beater I'm still driving my college car so like it didn't look cool like from the outside probably but like I was I don't know why like whenever I'm like with someone and I'm backing up I'm like oh they have no clue what I'm about to do I literally I can back up for like two miles straight with like no issue like not okay I could drive backwards is what I'm saying because I look through the
Starting point is 00:52:26 rear view window so literally like I've been with guys I've been with so many guys where they're like struggling with the parallel parking or they're like really frustrated like guys always get like when they can't do something right they just like they get all frustrated they'll like put it in park real quick and they'll like you know like hit the dash really I don't know like they get all like aggressive with it because they're fucking up and they're embarrassed because they're with a chick you know and um like I've seen so many guys are like trying to use their side mirrors a lot to back up they're using their like rear view mirror a lot and they're like looking at their backup camera and you know shout out to all the guys with like the automatic
Starting point is 00:53:03 parallel parking feature in their car because like you know you know I guess that's cool I guess that gave you some points sure but it gives you more points if you're looking down the back or looking through the back window to parallel park this is something that's like it's so specific and like until you do it until you know what i feel like if you're out there on a farm right now you get it like if you're i swear those are the only people that probably understand what i'm saying like you literally can be you can back up so easily so what i'm saying is like if i was on the baltimore bridge like i don't know if i heard mayday and they're stopping traffic and i see a cargo ship I think it was it was dark out they probably couldn't see what was going on and I feel
Starting point is 00:53:43 so bad for these people that died because like probably died I don't think they've said officially that they've they're just unaccounted for so I think it's they're presumed dead um but damn I'd be like get me off this fucking bridge like I don't know like what do you do you know and there's probably cars behind you and it's scary and when you see it crumble you're like god if I was that car in the front oh fuck um yeah anyway so it crashed into the bridge support pillars and parts of the structure came down immediately around 1 30 a.m authorities say eight people fell into the pata patapsco patapsco river i swear that's how you say it patapsco river below after the collision two were rescued with one person in critical critical condition so one of the two
Starting point is 00:54:37 people was in critical condition the other person refused medical treatment huh the six people who are still unaccounted for are believed to be construction workers who were repairing potholes on the bridge so that's awful um i think there was like a dad of three they can't find and I think one of the articles I read was like there's like a brooding entrepreneur or like a up-and-coming entrepreneur or something like that um yeah just sad I mean it's like again it's like you're like watching the video like no no this isn't happening and it happens you're like like like come on like and then people are like I don't know like the cause like what causes a ship to just lose power and people people are like it's a cyber attack and blah blah blah and
Starting point is 00:55:26 then the Democrats I guess like Biden like said the federal government is gonna like pay for the bridge to be fully repaired and the Republicans are like no the insurance company for the boat should be doing that like what the fuck and you know so became political immediately like everything else um so yeah Boeing's kind of in deep shit obviously we know about when it started off with like the door falling off of what was that the 737 and then um I think it was the 737 but anyways Dave Calhoun CEO of Boeing is um stepping down and uh yeah it's wild like I swear it's like every week what was the latest thing like there's like explosions during flights and the whistleblower that was found dead in his car or something um or he he was a former
Starting point is 00:56:21 he was like a you know an engineer guy or someone someone who uh managed a a portion of boeing's construction engineering team i don't know the people like probably that put the bolts in the wings and shit I don't know he was basically saying like they're cutting corners or you know not and then he he was found dead so you know it's a little wild there um with Boeing but um this is uh in other news I have a thought about like literally speaking of airplanes like think about this for yourself because everyone that like everyone has a super strong airline preference like everyone I know it's always different too like no one agrees on what the best airline is okay like I feel like it's um people are like oh yeah fuck spirit you
Starting point is 00:57:21 know like that's like the one that everyone's like hell no we're not doing we're not doing that yellow bitch okay or that yellow bus or whatever that flying yellow scorpion crashing I don't even know what what am I calling it a flying banana with wings like we're not doing that Spirit Airlines I guess that's like the only one people are like fuck no about but like people are the same way but about Delta they're like fuck Delta you know or like fuck American or like I only fly Southwest right or I guess you couldn't it depends like where you're flying obviously but um I'm definitely like an Alaska air chick um I fly into uh Seattle mostly and yeah I'd say I do a lot of Alaska and recently my favorite airline has become Delta like I always I love Delta
Starting point is 00:58:10 especially like I feel like their seats are nicer and like they're I don't know it's just like it's nice Delta's like super nice um United I'm kind of like no like what who are you it's kind of like what um I like forgot when I just said that it was even it was even an airline and then there's like american like some people are hardcore american airlines um who's like a frontier bitch out there like who's on front who's like i ride or die for frontier you know but it's a thing like everyone has their preference and and like you have your preference preference and you have the one that you hate like there's so many people that have like that that write like strongly worded social media posts about airline companies and it's like a like they're just like let me
Starting point is 00:58:57 think or let me look at the list of airline companies or airline I don't know this is a little side tangent side quest how are you doing I'm having I'm having fun um not gonna lie I am this is like BTS right now but um I'm all about efficiency these days because uh something my therapist and I are talking about is I formerly had 24 hours a day to do whatever the fuck I wanted because I was a single woman living in an apartment with my dog and all I had to worry about was myself okay now I'm all about efficiency these days and I'm kind of being I have to think in those terms of like how can I get my shit done you know within a good time and how can I schedule things in and
Starting point is 00:59:42 basically what I'm saying is um I'm I'm kind of like I'm sitting here and I'm freshly showered I'm sitting in Corey's bathrobe I forgot to put deodorant on I'm sitting on a heating pad that the thing's too far to I should just pull it off pull it out from underneath me real quick but I'm sitting on a heating pad um because my glutes are sore and I um my pits are my pits are dripping okay I'm like it's at the point where like I'm in this like fleece bath with like pits that are dripping and I'm just bringing you in but what I'm trying to and this is like again we're like behind the scenes like what is this podcast but like like what I'm trying to embrace and kind of like um the muscle I'm trying to work right now is
Starting point is 01:00:29 like kind of ignoring the chaos and just getting my job done so like ignoring this uncomfortable body I'm in right now to um and so I can continue podcasting and just like knock this out because I have other stuff to do after this you know what I mean so for example typically like let me just bring you in to like prepping for this podcast and what I did before. So if you go in my kitchen right now, I made egg whites and oatmeal with a bunch of cinnamon and berries and like, you know, cacao nibs and shit. That's all on the counter. Like I didn't put any of it away. Like that's how efficient I'm trying to be. Like I'll eat cause I need to, or I'll pass out, um, post workout. You know, I like, I'm trying to like be better eating before I podcast and before I get
Starting point is 01:01:16 my day going so it's literally like all out I left it a mess same with like the stuff in my bathroom post shower like all my workout clothes are on the bathroom floor like I didn't go do a load of laundry I didn't finish the dishes I didn't put all the food like it's kind of like I'm not like oh my god when we have kids like and I know that's like oh that's gross that's dirty but like no I have to think of like efficient in terms of like how can I fit things in and be and how can I be the most efficient because like I'd rather get this done this is the priority than have a perfectly clean bathroom and kitchen right now you know what I mean and so yeah something I'm talking to talking with my therapist about is the fact that I have a full
Starting point is 01:01:59 plate now and it's a lot to juggle and I guess I'm learning how to get it's like it's so dumb it's like okay some people probably don't struggle with this but like um i kind of do because i'm like yeah i just i have to i'm like i'm super like type a or not even no i wouldn't say i'm very in certain ways i'm type a but um i truly just like natural state my natural way of being is like i only have so much and this is everyone most people everyone everyone is this is this way but they have different levels of mental and emotional capacity in a day so I know what I have and I think the reason why I'm struggling with like the load of house stuff and trying to make my podcast amazing and get it out for you every week and you know lock or holding down a nine to
Starting point is 01:02:57 five corporate job and you know taking care of dogs and errands and life and planning trips and planning a wedding and all that I think the reason why that's like okay that does sound like a lot um it's because I kind of have a low mental load capacity every day honestly like I wish I had superwoman power where I'm like bouncing off the walls like I'm gonna get everything done I'm gonna grind and I'm good no it's like bitch I have to take a nap for 20 minutes every day or else I won't make it like if I go from I like literally I have to shut my brain off in the middle of the day every day and that's how I manage it but I cannot I just don't have the capacity to grind grind grind because then my I just get stressed out I'm always tired I'm miserable and
Starting point is 01:03:45 so I think now I'm like trying to learn how how can I be more efficient with my time and learn how to ignore kind of the chaos around me because I'm just so like I love a clean home I love to be organized I like everything to be nice but it's like no the priority isn't the dish in the sink right now it's your fucking podcast because like am i swearing too much on this episode that's another phrase i always say am i swearing too much um anyways okay so uh moscow moscow moscow russia fuck um so this was horrifying um there's a mass shooting obviously if you if you don't know if you haven't heard there's mass shooting in Moscow Russia killing
Starting point is 01:04:36 at least 137 people and injuring at least 140 and the most recent update is ISIS released body cam footage of you know them blowing the fucking concert place up I believe it was before the concert started they went in and did this is this was this was a very reminiscent I don't know this kind of situation is is kind of like the Vegas shooting we had where it's like a concert you know so many people 137 but then I was like okay how many people died on October 7th because that was like thousands right that was like 2,000 people or something or maybe how many people died there are two completely different events um by the way 11 people have been what what is it um the 11 people that were involved in it have been detained and
Starting point is 01:05:28 the videos of them dragging them into the courtroom or whatever they're just like they got fucked up you can tell like i don't know like someone would like beat the shit out of them and interrogate them or whatever because none of them looked like their faces were all fucked up but um again it's always something and this is why it's like we almost become numb to it like not numb it's never like i when you see all this murder porn all the time because of the accessibility to it's almost unintentional like most of the times when i see it it's like someone reposted or the news decided to post it that day or something and then you're like okay
Starting point is 01:06:10 holy shit and it just seems so frequent to the point where you're like it's just it's always something it's like oh you know it's like another day another bedding or fucking whatever it's like and um that's what I'm learning about life like I remember being a kid getting ready for second grade my mom running in she came home from the gym and she's screaming and crying she goes oh my god oh my god turn on the news turn on the news and she's like oh my god they hit the towers they hit the towers holy shit and I remember being a kid being like holy fuck okay like this there's bad things that happen in the world and that was 9-11 okay and then for the most part I lived life and yeah like things were going on with the war in Iraq then you know after
Starting point is 01:06:59 that and I was kind of like aware of it oh my friend at school's dad you know was he uh was deployed out to Afghanistan or wherever it was and I kind of knew about okay the war going on and but I wasn't really like I was a kid I was being a kid and then you go through high school and then it's like the obama years and i don't know like i wasn't really on it and then you go through college and things are going on obviously like you're kind of you become i think you just kind of become more as you get older you kind of become more aware of the world and you're more maybe like i would say like i'm more interested in it or just like you're more exposed I think the nature of social media is that you're just you're more exposed to things
Starting point is 01:07:44 you never would have been exposed to before because of your apps and your yeah like the internet and so um so while I was you know in second grade and 9-11 happened it's like yeah but that same year there's 42 other things I missed because I was in second grade and I didn't give a shit about it or now I'm 29 and you know 42 things happen a day and I see all 42 too that you know what I mean so it's it's um it's just I think it's uh accepting what is instead of because it's easy to be like not accepting it's hard because you're like it's a it's a it's almost like when you see a gazelle get eaten by a lion out on the safari and you're like fuck you know ah shit that sucks or you know yesterday I was watching a rescue video from like
Starting point is 01:08:36 a dog slaughterhouse and I got down a rabbit hole and I was like they're they're slaughtering dogs like what the like it made me cry like I was like why did I get here it's not I'm on Instagram like I should be looking at happy dog videos not this shit and you just kind of realize like there's a a food chain out there there's a circle of life out there and humans are included uh unfortunately humans dying humans getting murdered humans getting shot up before a concert is you know people getting yeah also shot up at a music festival or and raped and all these horrible things like that's part of life and it's like so fucked up to even say that out loud it's like it shouldn't be obviously nobody wants that but as I get older you just kind of realize like okay yeah
Starting point is 01:09:22 when I'm 40 same shit different year 50 same shit different year 60 it's it's really showing itself uh the older i get where you're like you i think yeah when you get older you just you've seen it so much you almost get unfazed um it's weird it's really weird so how many people died on october 6th or fuck october 7th my bad 1200 yeah um i never wanted i never want to watch that 47 minute video that um they really or they're not i guess they're not releasing publicly but there's ways you can view it in private viewings of um the body cam footage from that Hamas I guess put out there and I never want to watch it but literally I was listening
Starting point is 01:10:26 to a podcast the other day and this guy was describing it and I've heard of the horrible things they did on that day but like I just like didn't I don't even want to say it out loud and say it for you to have to like um visualize and imagine and that's the thing I'm very I have a very um like vivid colorful imagination I can really like and I have this thing where like when I see someone's head getting cut off with a butter knife like I almost get like I can feel it too not like I can feel it too but like you think about the reality of what that could feel like and it's like that kind of intense for you and so it's um yeah anyways why did i how did i get here what were we talking about let's move on because i don't like this oh i was talking
Starting point is 01:11:17 about moscow yeah so they detained 11 of the people involved in russia um really sad i mean 137 like i know 1200s a lot like that's a it's all one is too many let's be real one is too many but um just 137 people going to a concert like what the fuck um i think what were my other topics here oh kate middleton cancer diddy's house rated i kind of want to wait for more to come out about diddy because um i feel like we're not we don't have that enough information yet i really want it to be like like because we all hear about sex trafficking we all hear about it right and it's just like nothing ever really happens like it's everyone's like yeah hollywood and sex trafficking
Starting point is 01:12:14 there's like this underground thing going on but like it hasn't ever it doesn't ever seem like it's fully exposed where like people like Diddy are exposed for it for leading some underground operation of minors and sex trafficking and sex trafficking them and like because you know there was Epstein and and what he did but it's like there's levels to this shit and I don't know it just doesn't seem like it's been fully like you know so I'm really curious to see what comes of this um let me just say that 50 cent's having a heyday on his instagram and that's really entertaining and one of the videos i watched was this guy literally like um snitching in his car like
Starting point is 01:13:03 literally out of his car about yeah i'm his neighbor and you know uh i don't even know i should play the audio because it's actually really fucking funny um it's not funny obviously it's not a funny situation but like i just love that 50 cent doesn't give a fuck and he's just like um he just blasts people on his instagram okay here when my basketball goes over there i just let it be oh my god he's like all kinds of shit comes out of these buses at three in the morning and i don't know if you could hear that very clearly but the comments on that i always read i always read the comments drive by snitching in a bentley is wild
Starting point is 01:14:09 um he said when the basketball go over there i just leave it yeah yeah I don't know what's what's real and what's not and what's going on I just think that I you know like what's the latest if I just google diddy like what's like the latest thing because we're gonna need a what do you call it a smoking gun here or like that's what every every case needs that and I feel like it's with the sex trafficking stuff it's like never really like seems to get to that point like it's oh yeah and he's like um oh did he this is TMZ I trust you TMZ I fuck with you TMZ I feel like they get they're just the most like on it out of anyone um uh I don't know is that controversial I don't know like whenever I want to find shit they always have it so
Starting point is 01:15:18 Diddy, alleged mule, arrested on drug charges during a run-in with feds. On drug charges. Diddy's alleged mule, as described in a recent lawsuit, was arrested Monday while Diddy and his crew were stopped by federal law enforcement agents. TMZ confirmed. According to the affidavit obtained by TMZ, 25-year-old Brendan Paul was booked on two separate drug charges after the feds intercepted Diddy's plane at the Opa-Lock Airport in Miami. okay so he's in possession of cocaine and marijuana candy both both are felonies in Florida okay cool it's like not about sex trafficking so you know what I mean so it's like okay it's his alleged mule had cocaine and marijuana um yeah I don't really know the depth
Starting point is 01:16:07 of this or like the case but um I I'm I just I always feel like it's just it's never like fully like exposed. It's like kind of always like, I don't know how to explain it. But a lot of people have said some shit like Usher. Usher reveals what he saw while staying at Diddy's home at 13. Yeah, I don't know. So that's interesting um Kate Middleton cancer you know they're not going to say what kind of cancer she had her a stomach operation and found they found after testing that cancer is present and now she's going undergoing um preventative preventative chemo which is just sad all around especially because of like the way people were conspiracy conspiracy conspiring about her whereabouts and
Starting point is 01:17:15 what was really going on then now people are like oh the video she the video of her telling the world she has cancer is a deep fake that's funny so it's like I don't know there's a lot of um just kind of gross shit talk or not really shit talk just gossip about her before she came out like hey I have cancer I mean like those people like come on you really probably feel like shit about yourself right now because I don't think anyone saw that coming and um what is she 42 Kate Middleton cancer let's see here oh here's the diagnosis and treatment timeline I mean I don't think
Starting point is 01:18:13 we even know they're not releasing I mean they don't there's no Um, that's, they're keeping that private. Um, we can speculate what it is. I don't think, I mean, it could be, I mean, the thing is, is like, we don't know how serious it is, which is, um, it's cancer. It's like, this could go, it could go, I don't know. Like, I, I just, I, there, she said she has cancer. she's going undergoing preventative chemo and that's kind of the end of it um and she looked
Starting point is 01:18:57 really kind of like weak in that video you know really like kind of like she has cancer like literally like she was you know not very well so um yeah it's really sad I don't really keep up with the royals or really pay attention honestly but um I think that was a bit shocking especially because of like that video that came out of her and um Prince William walking through whatever that was was that like a garden or something and I'm hitting the wall guys I'm not gonna lie um not trying to like make this about me right now when Kate Middleton literally has cancer but like what am I saying but the video was clearly not her like I am team like I know like why are we even talking about this like who cares like she has cancer we shouldn't
Starting point is 01:19:51 be talking about like was that video was that really her like it was not her like come on and I think I don't know why they even did that it's like honestly like why do they have to they don't have to do anything but like they kind of have to like they had to like shut people up like no Kate's walking around it's like no just be honest like she has they obviously waited and she came out the video explaining it but can't she just go away for months and people can people just like there's can she just do you have to always make a statement about like where you are and what you're doing like um so yeah princess catherine's cancer video spawns fresh fresh round of ai conspiracies but i guess they've i don't know what what the terminology is they've
Starting point is 01:20:40 checked the video and it's legit it's been um that it it's like they proved it to be real and not AI but that's a thing now so um yeah okay wait what else do they have on here Diddy Kate middleton baltimore bridge ceo of um boeing stepping down um risa tisa can drop a target oh yeah this is like going around right now the great wall of china length great wall of china length like it's okay wait so someone was like today today I learned that um hold on let me pull it up like if I was to ask you how long do you think the Great Wall of China is like um what would you say like would you be like 3 000 miles like what is it the u.s is like u.s diameter in miles is that what i would type in
Starting point is 01:22:02 hi first grade math okay the u.s across okay the u.s is 2 800 miles across so to fly from oregon to maryland is like 2,800 miles okay so if i was to ask you how long the great wall of china is i feel like i would have said like if or if i'm asking oh my god okay let's regroup hi episode 366 let's regroup okay um i would have said like a few thousand miles what if i told you that the great wall of china is 13 171 miles which is how many times bigger than the length of the u.s 13 171 divided by 2800 is that the right math hey first grade math 4.7 times the length of the u.s
Starting point is 01:23:13 so it would the length of the great wall of china is 4.7 united states next to each other i didn't even think how many miles wide is china how many miles wide is china how we're out here biffing it with uh one employee on the jock monroe show uh we do not have a jamie on board in the background doing this for me so bear with me here how many miles across is the great wars of china why doesn't google wait why am i on news oh i i'm on the news tab that's my issue here wait a minute how does that make any sense stretching 3100 miles from east to west wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute because that makes sense when I look at China and I look at
Starting point is 01:24:10 the U.S. on the map like yeah China's a little bigger but how is the Great Wall of China 13,000 miles across when is it because it's windy hold on china wait great wall of china let me just like look at a picture images okay i think it's because it's windy right it's got to be because like bobs and weaves around here how is that even possible because if it's 30 3400 miles across if China's 3,400 miles across and the wall is 13,000 miles even when you look at pictures of does it go into other countries I don't see how that's even it just doesn't look right maps are all discombobulated anyways you know what I mean like how they look flat isn't really accurate I don't know it's just wild like
Starting point is 01:25:22 wait great sorry I'm like down the rabbit hole right now images wait oh so there's overlapping sections that were rebuilt um the most well-preserved section is about 54 or 5,500 miles long okay I just don't understand how China's like my brain is like how wait because it's like not that it's like windy it literally is like it starts in the east and it goes about a little over halfway to the west and if china's 3,400 miles across and the wall is 13,000 miles do you know what i mean it's like it just doesn't add up um google says the great oh here's reddit yes let's do it google says the great wall of china is 13,000
Starting point is 01:26:28 miles long how could that be possible in the distance from yes bitch this is exactly i hear you r slash no stupid questions uh post here it's the no stupid questions reddit i'm on google says the great wall of china is 13 000 miles long how can that be possible when the distance from the u.s to china is only 7 000 miles they edited it yeah someone's like the gray wall is not straight or even one continuous wall it is actually several separate walls built over a very long period of time oh here's a map that illustrates it very well allegedly okay okay okay so it's not just like one string of a wall it's like segments that do not they don't all connect okay so imagine
Starting point is 01:27:23 spaghetti you take a bunch you take you pinch spaghetti out of the pot and you throw it on a plate that's the vibe it's literally spaghetti so it's not one noodle it's like 15 noodles okay so that answers the question um yeah people are like it's not straight um yeah so i love reddit i literally i discovered reddit a few months ago and i just find it to be such a like you know whenever i'm like oh i'm not reading books very much anymore whenever i'm in that mode of like i should educate myself i'm like i i read a lot on reddit that's like educational and helpful um as well as all the gossip and nasty stuff because um I don't know it's like good juice sometimes it's like it's my it's my trash mag a lot of the times and it's also
Starting point is 01:28:28 my encyclopedia so shout out reddit um it's such a wasteland and such a great place at the same time and i think you just have to like really like you can only like if you only follow follow like positive things then you know but i feel like you you can read read a lot of gossip on there about like influencers and shit and um which is really i i've talked about it before like it's really um what's the word it's interesting because like i always say i'm interested in human behavior I'm curious about why people are the way they are because I've dealt with a lot of shitty people in my life and I'm always like why are they that way you know and I'm just kind of naturally like what makes people tick and should I been I could have gone into like psychology I
Starting point is 01:29:21 guess or something in that field but because that's something I'm naturally kind of good at I guess. Or like, I under, I just like, it's the whole, like, I've had a lot of trauma. I can read people while I have spidey senses and I get like, I can like see through a lot of BS quickly because, and I can, I'm really like discerning and, um, of yeah. People's like essence and they're raw like who they really are versus what they're presenting you know like I can kind of detect which is like I feel like good um but sometimes I feel like it's too much especially like yeah sometimes it can be out of whack and I have to like be like okay give this person a chance like you don't have to shut down immediately just because they said one thing or acted a
Starting point is 01:30:21 certain way one time you know like so that's where it kind of gets in the way but um anyways I think watch or seeing what people post about influencers is really interesting because um yeah it's uh it's weird I'm like I'm pro like let your freak flag fly you know I'm pro embrace the cringe post your life and whatever you want like you do you boo whatever works like I'm very pro that because I think that like literally who cares like if you're worried about what people think of you and worry about people's judgment of you then you know it's like you got to rip that band-aid off if you want to be a content creator anyway so it's just like it's just kind of a double-edged sword though because while I believe in that and I'm very pro that
Starting point is 01:31:17 I think that self-awareness and having and reading the room and like being aware of how you are how you come across like what you're giving what what do they say how you're serving what you're giving um is important I think a lot of people are oblivious to their bullshit and that's why they end up on reddit and these threads of people snarking on them or whatever because it's like you see this person post every day and you're like snap the fuck out of it like like you're like so full of shit but you're presenting as it's like it's uh what's the word these people are um what's the word self-obsessed self-absorbed they think I don't know how to explain I guess it's like it's just the whole like it social media just it's a breeding
Starting point is 01:32:18 ground for narcissism and like yeah self-obsession and self and and god complexes and yeah I think i i wish those people would say like it's it's the whole like i'm not gonna name names because like i don't know i want to i almost like literally the other day i was like wait i have a an angle for a podcast where i literally just say names i i just i i say names and i talk about and i basically do like image counseling for them without me asking for it or without them asking for it and I basically say who they are and I say like okay if you could say this to your followers like it would disarm it would make everyone go oh fuck okay finally I'm so glad she said it or he said or whatever because like I I can do I do that all day long whenever I bitch
Starting point is 01:33:16 or complain or or snark about people society the culture I always say this like I always I try to turn the the conversation at myself and I go well am I like that what the you know like am I giving that off and so like I am aware right now that and I've said this so many times but I'll say it again like I'm in a very fortunate position in life compared to my or it would appear like it's hard because like yeah people are people that I know are getting married they're 30 they're buying a house right along with me you know and then there's a lot of people out there that don't even have that option they're not even close yet and so I know how I might come across like I have it all and I'm so fortunate and you know I get how that looks I'm not like oblivious to it you
Starting point is 01:34:10 know what I mean and so like I never want to come off pretentious and better than and like look at me in my perfect little life like I because it's really not like I have um like it is like it's comfortable as fuck I'm at peace every day I have a really cush life it's I pretty much I have nothing to worry about you know what I mean very little to worry about the stuff I do struggle with though is more situational with like life and new chapters and like relationship stuff with family and like my personal goals and and what I'm trying to do with my life and my career and my pot you know that kind of stuff is kind of the the not so shiny perfect side of things and so um yeah back to the influence influencers though it's like i wish people could just like preface
Starting point is 01:35:07 it could lead with that a little more be like i know like because they it's just you know what it comes down to it literally comes down to like cadence and the sound of their fucking voice it's like that is like all you need to know about someone if they start off a story with hi guys and it's like so like like I love okay so someone I recently followed I have a short following list pretty short pretty medium it's like 500 less than 500 people but it's funny because I followed her because I'm like oh she's like cool she's real like you know she's like got it all and you know definitely in that like blogger sphere of you know the southern California blogger sphere but like the other day I'm like damn it you lost me there you know what
Starting point is 01:35:55 I mean it's like god damn it it's like and I guess that's just my thing where it's like nobody is a hundred percent for me like I just like it's so how do I put it like I think I get not like triggered but put off easily easily the second i detect someone is full of shit you know what i mean it's like oh i just i'm rude it's like you're rooting for them you're like i like you i fuck with you you're great and then there's like that one time they pose and i'm like i lost you god damn it like i i and then i'm like why'd you do that that's not you that's not you and that's what i see i just see a lot of masks and a lot of pretending a lot of cosplaying a lot of like trying to put on a show and not really being authentic and um self-aware and like like you
Starting point is 01:36:44 know and I think it's yeah it's exotic it's just sometimes it's like I wish I didn't care so much I could just like be cool with it I think I am honestly I'm all for the basic bees and their and their and their lifestyles and I'm all like you know what I mean I'm like i don't think they're like that necessarily in person i think sometimes like the internet it kind of uh especially when you're talking your story and you're making a tiktok you're talking on your on the camera a lot it's like you it doesn't capture you just flowing just sitting on your couch at 4 p.m with a cocktail you know winding down on a thursday or something i don't know like it doesn't capture like that kind of vibe like hey i'm coming
Starting point is 01:37:29 over for a drink Cynthia like you know the way you're you're gonna act then there is probably so or not so but yeah like a little or yeah more stripped down and raw than what you do online and I guess that bothers me I don't know why it's just it's just like it's always I I I'm a lot you know I am I'm a lot but I'm not I'm like very with people I think it's it's um I don't know but you're in your head a lot you're in you're too in your head about it you're too in your head about it it's like I don't know I think it's like I've maybe have I had I'm just so like scarred by bad people in the past where I'm like I don't know I don't know I don't know um it's kind of something I keep to myself clearly I'm not right now to telling you
Starting point is 01:38:29 but um yeah a lot of times when I'm after I'll socialize with people and I'll like debrief I'm like what the fuck you know most people honestly I'm blessed like most of the people I'd say like a good 95 percent of people I come across and I hang out with and party with and work out with and rub elbows with in public like most people are cool but like every now and then it's just like damn like what the fuck which is life that's normal just like the news it's like there's it takes all kinds that's takes all kinds of news stories to put a to make a world go around it takes all kinds of people and make a world go around and um I just think what's for me it's like as someone who's a participant on the field of social media and content creation
Starting point is 01:39:21 I just yeah it's sad how like I don't know I just I feel like it's like ruined people it's like robbed them I don't know it's like it's just kind of dumb them down and um I think when you look at yourself all the time and film yourself all the time it does something to the brain where especially if you're a perfectionist you know and I think it does that to women the most you're it kind of makes you stupid and sound stupid and like you just kind of put yourself in this little meek perfect little ditzy valley voice box and you go about your day and you do your posts and it's just like come on you know come on but it's like people just morph into that
Starting point is 01:40:13 after a while it's like a learned behavior and I think that's why people like on TikTok bring up the oh like the TikTok voice like the whole like hi guys welcome back to me I'm gonna do this it's like it's kind of a learned thing this I don't even know what this episode was we talked about cupcakes we talked about the London Bridge is falling down in Baltimore we talked about uh risa tisa shopping at target we talked about diddy's house getting raided side salads landscaping uh my podcast studio upgrading um boeing the great wall of china i think that's it i had fun honestly this was a great episode it was a one take situation here which honestly oh we talked about back backing up we did talk
Starting point is 01:41:07 about backing up in a truck and I taught you that that was my tip of the day my health tip about eating protein before sugar that was your other tip of the day um but yeah it never ceases to amaze me I literally just changed my Instagram bio to I love podcasting by the way like I just it's like what could i put as my little thing my little slogan and like it's like godly sometimes when i finish an episode oh it's perfect timing cory just called me or he's calling me now when i like do it in one take and i feel like i had no slip ups you know here he is hey honey you're on the podcast oh i'm so sorry i'm about to wrap it like this is perfect timing oh great what we're on uh what was on today what were you talking about
Starting point is 01:41:57 um i'll have to bleep it i'll have to bleep it if i say it out loud oh okay no we talked about like the bridge falling and tasting cupcakes and landscaping and you know life stuff life stuff okay yeah sounds good well i'm just uh i got done with the podcast myself you did yeah no way yeah i got interviewed for a podcast on the modular on a modular company oh very cool all real estate stuff very cool that's exciting can't wait to hear more goodbye no i'm kidding okay no um what's for lunch i'll let you wrap up with class i uh i went to the diner nice right next door burger patty and eggs incredible burger patty and eggs how's your podcast is it pretty flowing it was really good i was talking about uh at the end here how i did it in one take
Starting point is 01:43:00 and it just really makes me feel good about myself and i just knock it out and i never and i never slip up like I literally just go the whole time I think it's going up on almost two hours so good yeah good awesome awesome well I will let you be then any uh what's if you could describe wait let's ask you a question if how would you survive and that's fucked up a bridge collapse what would you do oh boy how would you keep yourself alive if you were in 47 degree water after he fell into fell off a bridge boy it'd be tough um at 1 30 in the morning in baltimore that'd be real tough uh they haven't found six people by the way hope you have a cutaway so you can get your seatbelt off
Starting point is 01:43:54 and you can break through that window and then once you're out of that water swimming ashore I mean that's tough that is do you think your body would go into shock and like hypothermia before you could like where you can't even really move your arms you know like you get to that like adrenaline where you're like I can't you're almost like frozen
Starting point is 01:44:14 and you're like yeah I mean yes I it would be it would be challenging because your adrenaline will keep you warm until you start to swim in and if it's not too far from shore then you'd start getting hypothermia
Starting point is 01:44:30 probably within I think like three minutes damn I guess those yeah there's six people they haven't found but um yeah I almost wonder if they like didn't get out of their
Starting point is 01:44:46 cars or they weren't able to or I don't know how they felt don't you have one of those things to punch a window I do yeah yeah i do so but when it's the middle of the night like that it'd be hard to find you know it happens so fast too do you know that they stopped traffic when the the um the the captain of the ship or whatever said made it and then the authorities like stopped the flow of traffic but like they're still on the bridge you know what i mean like
Starting point is 01:45:18 they didn't clear the bridge they like literally just stopped them from yeah that's sad yeah it It's all you can do in that time. Do you have any tips for backing up in a car? Make sure you have the newer technology so you can look at your dash. Would you say that you're skilled at backing up in a car? I'm skilled. I'm a tactical driver. Have you ever seen me back up in a car?
Starting point is 01:45:51 I have. You're pretty good. Do you remember what I do? Yeah. You look over your right shoulder and your left. Yes. Okay. This is a full circle.
Starting point is 01:46:01 That was like a good, like full circle moment of the podcast. Thank you for like ending it perfectly. Goodbye. I literally gave a tutorial about how to back up in a car. And I said, you put your, you look down there or back out the back window and you put,
Starting point is 01:46:16 you turn your head to the right and steer with the left hand. Yep. Yep. So you have witnessed it. I have. uh yeah and i said that's on growing up on a farm and driving a truck and having to learn how to do that so all right well all right honey good job thank you keep it going all right i'll call you after this okay love you love you okay
Starting point is 01:46:38 yeah i just love to toot my own horn and pump my puff my chest a little bit every now and then you gotta like be a rooster about life sometimes and you know have the self-awareness that sometimes you might come across cocky and arrogant but it's good to say like no I am good at this I am good at backing my car up I am yeah this is like a good I'm something I'm good at and I'm skilled at it's okay to admit that I'm good I'm good at podcasting I'm good at holding your attention for however however long this was I can say that I don't feel like like no I also tip of the day if someone gives you a compliment just say thank you just say thank you that's something I used to kind of like not do
Starting point is 01:47:28 and I was like it made me feel uncomfortable it's like now I'm just like yeah oh you look so and that's the other thing like oh when someone's like oh your hair's so pretty you're like oh you look so pretty like I feel like as a woman if you're told like you look beautiful you look pretty oh my god your dress or your like you almost feel like if you don't like that like learn to embrace that attention you know what i mean like and learn to like accept it and not be like oh i have to like tell the other person that saint oh so are you oh sorry i never tell someone they're beautiful back i never compliment back i literally i never compliment back is that
Starting point is 01:48:14 a bitch like is that a bad move I don't know I feel like it doesn't it reinforces it teaches it it enables bad behavior it enables the wrong kind of behavior because the behavior and the change I want to see in the world is when someone gives you a compliment you say thank you and then the conversation's over I don't want to see people like change it and deflect it and say oh right back at you where it's like i want you to sit with that compliment say thank you and cherish that i think people need to like feel that goodness about themselves and in that moment and not immediately go like change the subject or like go right back at them or something um like like learning learn to be comfortable learn to be comfortable by when you're getting
Starting point is 01:49:08 complimented and not like awkward you know what I mean because that's a beautiful thing about life like there's not all the time you get compliments you know what I mean so the times you do it's like just take it in smell the roses say thank you um that's something I learned honestly one of my exes shout out I think he caught me when when I get compliments he caught me kind of like deflecting and doing that he's like he's like why do you do that he's like just say thank you all you have to say thank you changed my life changed my changed my life just say thank you that's the response anytime you get a compliment just say thank you keep it moving so we've got all kinds of tips uh please hit that subscribe button wherever you're listening right now i'm on apple spotify google

I don't know how to end it. Did my call to action, wrapped up the episode. We had a full circle moment with Corey there about backing up and I'm sitting here kind of like, what's next? You know, I'm going to upload this. I'm going to probably make some food cause, um, my egg white oatmeal situation kind of didn't cut it. That wasn't enough for me. Um, yeah, it's weird. Like I'm like weary about now we're going off on a tangent. We're getting,

Starting point is 01:52:15 listen to this but like now I'm like dude if you don't like I I was kind of like it was a it was a temperature check it was like okay if they listen to the if they say they listen and if they fuck with if they think it's funny like I think when the guys I went on a date with or a few dates with was like yeah I listened to your episode titled my top three favorite hot dogs or something and something stupid episode I don't know you like he brought up a random episode I had recorded and and talked about it with me and I was like oh that's like it made me feel better about it than like yeah I've listened to your episodes and I'm sitting there like and do you have anything to say like what comments do you have for me what kind of feedback do you have for me like like is that it
