Hey, what's up? It's Jacqueline. Welcome back to the show.
Welcome back to the show. How are you? So I decided, I decided that today is going to be
the comfy episode of the month because honestly, like, I just want to hang and watch TikToks
and talk about true crime or a specific true, true, true crime story that I am
very distraught over that i can't unlearn for the rest of my life now that i've heard about it i am
scarred for life and by the way viewers discretion advised uh trigger or uh listeners
discretion advised like this is a heavy one and i want to talk about it because i'm insane and i've
been honestly ever since i met cory i've been more and more interested like because all we do
is watch true crime stuff on netflix like we were watching oh my god there's so many like
like we watched this new ted bundy one that was crazy about like the girlfriends or like the
yeah um so anyways i want to talk about true crime i've got some life updates
tiktok okay we're gonna hang what we're gonna hang and watch tiktoks first of all just just know that
I don't know what you're doing right now but prepare to be relaxed okay and entertained
because that's the vibe I'm setting the tone now the vibe is very comfy cozy relaxed like I just
yes I take my job seriously here but like it doesn't need to be so serious all the time right
so um yeah I've got life updates tiktoks then we're gonna go into some pop culture and new
stuff which is honestly like same shit different year same shit same shit different year uh
like the Met Gala you know what I mean like that's all that's happening right now or that's
what happened and there's like not a lot to say there I don't care honestly it's it's cool it
happens every year it's like interesting to see what the theme is so there's that there was the
tom brady roast um kim k getting booed at the tom brady roast big oh like big whoop like big great
amazing cool story um who cares there's like kendrick and drake beef um that we could talk
about which i i don't want to talk about this stuff to be honest you know what i do want to
talk about and like this is gonna okay this is gonna make me sound like such a bro and i don't
care. I own my, I've told the, told you guys this before. I'm a proud pick me girl. I'm like,
I don't, or I don't even Jesus. I don't want to be okay. For me, it's like, you're damned. If you
do, you're, you're damned. You're damned. If you, if you do, you're damned. If you don't as a woman,
that's just the way it is. And so anything I say or do, it's like, it's going to someone's probably
got an issue with it. And for some reason, me trying to sit here and tell you that I am absolutely
like in awe, in awe right now of an NBA basketball player.
That's what I really want to talk about. Like, I feel like that's just not, is that like,
is that way off brand? As you know, like, if you don't know, I was a former, uh, really average
high school point guard back in the day. And I played basketball, basketball for most of my
childhood and all the way up through high school. I wasn't like a college athlete. Okay.
But I love basketball and I haven't been paying attention to NBA until like literally
like two nights, two nights ago. So I want to talk about, uh, Anthony Edwards, honestly, like, yo,
I I just I I'm like wow you know like I haven't been wow about an NBA player in so long like I
don't really obviously we've got LeBron rest in peace Kobe um we had MJ but like who's next you
know what I mean and like this kid is so I I just like I was half asleep and I was watching this
Timberwolves game uh Minnesota Timberwolves is that where they're from I don't know
and sorry i'm like going off on a tangent about anthony edwards already well like i'll play some
clips and i'll like talk about it and in like an interview he did a little later but um i like
was half asleep on the couch and i was just like watching this guy like back another the defender
down so far he backed him down all the way and just like dunked on him and i'm like wait a minute
what did I just see like no one does that or like that's not like yeah people dunk like guys dunk
they are showy and they I don't know there's just something about the way he plays basketball is
very reminiscent of MJ and it's like um just do people say MJ Michael Jordan obviously so yeah
I'm really like and this is the thing about me I get this way with rap again like pick me like
annoying like what like what kind of I get this way about rappers too like I get I get obsessive
about whenever I see someone that's like super great and they like there's something about them
like strikes a chord and inspires me or like gets me like really like amped up I will literally like
read everything on the internet about them like watch every single video they've ever made or
any interview interview they've ever done and i get like super um obsessive about them and i don't
know why i just it's like i don't know it's so interesting to me so anthony edwards shout out um
he's just so great to watch play basketball and it's like it makes i'm like this is what we need
we need something no one's ever going to be michael jordan but if we have i just want there
to be a guy at the NBA like we just need a guy a new a new face like Jokic is like a basketball
is like whatever whatever to him it's just like a job but like he's not gonna be the face of the
NBA like he's just he's not the guy he's great he's just not the guy so anyways I've been watching
basketball um with Corey we've been hanging out on the couch watching these NBA games is it like
the semi-finals like I don't even pay attention like I don't even know what's happening I just
know that um i have a new favorite player i guess um cool so before we get into the episode again
this is going to be a great one i'm well prepared and i think you're going to really enjoy these
tiktoks and these random things that i found but um oh and the true crime thing

it's growing i'm i'm on like i'm on like um i'm on this little like journey and we're going to
talk about my social media, um, and the reality of the position I'm currently in, uh, behind the
scenes with my accounts and my YouTube growth has been like 18,000% higher than, than like
the, Oh, for 18,000% higher in the last like week than it was in the last four years. Okay. Cause
I'm like working it now but um please yeah if you're watching this please subscribe to my
YouTube channel I post once a week and I post um the the full length episodes are on YouTube
for you to watch and then I post shorts so clips of the of the podcast and then oh my god this is
like going way to the weeds but I do have two new uh podcast accounts on Instagram and TikTok
i'll explain the backstory of that in a sec or like later um it's at jacqueline's podcast
follow at jacqueline's podcast on tiktok and instagram thank you that's it let's get into
the life updates um do i have a chime a whistle what do we have here let's get into the life
updates sorry that's really annoying cool let me start the scene first i'm drinking a starbucks
a coke zero and a cloud water this is the immunity blood orange and coconut version
so those are the beverages today and let me see what else to update you with um oh my god don't
hit a wall don't don't don't hit a wall don't hit a wall okay i feel like i need a heated blanket
it. And I just need to like hang out and I need like soup and I just want to like be warm. That's
the vibe. Okay. Before I get into the life updates, I'm going to crack open a cold one here.
I'm going to crack open a cold DC.
So good. Coke Zero. You know, my favorite version of Coke Zero,
if I'm buying a plastic bottle diet coke yeah the best plastic diet coke option in a bottle
what am I saying is coke zero canned coke is canned diet coke is undefeated but coke zero
from the soda fountain oh my god what is this episode like let me get off of the beverages
I wanted to set the scene I'm drinking I'm cracking open a cold one I'm drinking the diet
coke i'm drinking a leftover skinny vanilla latte from starbucks that we got after the gym this
morning and a cloud water those are the beverages to be honest i sat in hair and makeup for like
i was in and out of hair and makeup like i don't have to do this by the way like i don't have to
glam but i choose to glam and glam and it's a double-edged sword because like
I look great I love how I look on camera when I take this time and put in this effort and then
I realize like it's bitches it's 12 30 it's nap time like this is my prime this is like the time
of day I almost every single day I take a nap between like 12 20 and 12 40 or like 12 30 to 1
if I'm doing like a half hour nap so this is like the worst time it's always a you know what one
think okay this isn't the episode we're gonna we're totally effing up right now um okay anyways
it has been officially one week since I got fired from my corporate job so this is week one of
unemployment life and honestly I feel nothing like I know that sounds psychotic but like
I don't like miss my job I don't it's almost it's so crazy how like I don't yeah I don't feel
anything I just feel I'm so excited about my future right now with my show and like what I'm
doing next that I'm not thinking about my job but like I just got like I got fired and I feel I'm
like emotionless about it. I'm just like, I'm so, I guess the emotion, the emotion I actually have
is relief. So, and I talked about that on last week's episode. If you're curious, if you're just
tuning in, I've been working the corporate world for like four years now and I just got fired last
week, which was very liberating. And I talked about it and that's episode three 70 if you want
to tune in so yeah one week of and I feel like I'm this is the truth okay this is the truth
I got okay I got fired but I feel like I am working more now in the first week
of not of unemployment or of like not having my corporate job
then I was work I'm working more for my podcast this is what I want to do right
so it's just like this crazy shift where like i've been staying up super late i've been like
grinding around the clock and working on my show and like spending all this like time and energy
and this is what i said from the jump i'm the type of person who can't have my brain split
between something super left brain and something super right brain like it has to be one or the
other and if if i like yeah if i have a goal or something that's creative like i will literally
do it around the clock and I'll never get sick of it. And like, that's why, that's why I am so
relieved. And I feel so happy right now. It's because I'm like, I can finally pour my soul out
to my show. So anyways, that's the, the update on like my job and like my first week, um, we
watched the, I watched the King. Well, Corey had seen it, the King, King Richard, um, Venus
Williams and Serena Williams movie with Will Smith I think that's a movie he won the Oscar
for and then slapped Chris Rock was that last year I think that was last year's Oscars yeah
or the year before I think it was last year and it was so good like so so good um what else is
happening we are going to Luke Combs in next month I'm so excited I love Luke Combs I've never seen
him in concert so we're making that like our little like anniversary slash just because
trip and we're going up to LA which we never do we're gonna we're gonna see um see him at SoFi
so and that's the that's the first time I've ever been to SoFi and I like really want to go to that
stadium just to see it um we're going there with a couple of our friends which will be fun
we got really good seats um so we're going to Luke Holmes uh yeah our anniversary is May 17th
so I actually leave for Vegas the next day so we can't really do anything that weekend
so we're gonna do probably like a anniversary dinner and then I think we're gonna plan a trip
somewhere at the end of the month. Um, it's like, it's like so much to pack in this year. It's
insane. Like, yeah. Um, yeah, I'm going to Vegas with my mom and my sister in a couple of weeks.
And then, yeah, I'm thinking at the end of the month for our anniversary, we'll do some sort of
like naturey, hikey, campy type trip. Like I really want to take Corey to Yosemite cause he's
never been and hike and like show them the like half dome and El Capitan and like the huge rock
faces because they're so breathtaking like I'll never forget the first time I saw half dome I
thought I was on a different planet like Yosemite is it was the first time because I'm from
Washington state and seeing Yosemite National Park was the first time where I was like
ooh I think California's nature is better than Washington's nature it's like different
but it's like if I had to pick I'm like damn California is
pretty special like the granite isn't like just the way it looks
it's like trippy it looks like you're on like Mars or like the moon
um so or I was thinking like a Sedona wine trip situation or also hiking
or um you really want to go to Idaho and go golfing at this golf course or he really does
and I really want to go too because I grew up going to Idaho and Coeur d'Alene is where we're
thinking so those are kind of like the life updates with like where I'm going what we've
been watching um two-year anniversary coming up crazy um what else okay I have a story a little
life update story about like for the, for the girls, like a story about if he wanted to, he
would. Okay. Um, so literally a man just simply knocked on our door. Oh man, I'm home alone
working on my podcast. Corey's at the office. He's at work. A man knocks on our door
and essentially without getting into the details of like what the guy said because we have a ring
camera Corey decided to rush home to protect me because he did not feel he did not think that
this he thought this man was like sketchy and he didn't want me to be home alone so like literally
yeah this guy and I don't answer the door like one thing about me is that I do not answer my
front door I don't care who you are what you want what you need I'm not a good neighbor like that I
I'm a good neighbor to the neighbors I know like the familiar faces people that live directly in my
on my street but no randoms get the door open for me like I do not mess with that because it's just
two, like, I don't want them to know. I just don't want them to like, see me and see our house and
like put those two things together. Like, um, you just never know. It's a crazy world out there. So
yeah, I guess this, this guy had, he had asked if we were like, if we're getting something done
with our patio, like if he could come take a look at our patio or something. Um, Corey always
answer is the ring. Like he'll be at the office and then someone will ring the doorbell. And I'm
like, yeah, he's like, I don't even, I'm like, I don't, I don't even, I'll look on my app. I'll
see who's there. The dogs will bark obviously. So I always like, you know, I know when people
are here, but like Corey, this is what I'm trying to say to the ladies. Like if he wanted to,
he would, I don't know if, I don't know if that's like the right phrase for this, but like, um,
like he is so, uh, he, he cares about my safety. Like he really is a protecting protector type
guy. Like he doesn't mess around, you know, like you always feel, um, safe because he's got you,
you know, and that's a really good feeling. Um, I felt in my other relationships,
I will say that yeah there are some other guys I dated that made me feel uneasy and worried about
my safety like literally at all times and one example that's a little bit odd is someone who
I dated who was super like they were really adventurous and like spontaneous and super
like alpha like could spear a saber-toothed tiger with his bare hands or whatever like that kind of
vibe like very you know like optically or whatever like he looked like he could protect you but like
i didn't trust him because he would put me in dangerous situations i didn't want to be in
and he like just flung me around like whisked me away and it was like oh no big deal you're coming
on this boat you're jumping in the water you're doing this you're diving off this cliff you're
and it was just like I never felt I he made me feel like he was gonna die at any second and I
felt like I was gonna die in any second even though like I'm sure if he had a punch someone
he could like take them out but that vibe of like you're always like worried about yeah
yeah he's strong and everything but I don't feel safe if that makes sense we're like Corey
we have a we established very early we do a thing and I can't suggest this enough
if you're in a relationship and you live together or even if you don't you're just like with your
boyfriend or girlfriend and you're out in public or you're at the house or wherever you're at
establish a code word and ours is so like should I just tell you what our code word is it's not
even like a yeah it's like not even like a secret like it doesn't need to be secret we literally
only say code red if it is like an oh fuck life or death shit just went really wrong
type situation like that that's the only time we say code red and it doesn't come up very often
obviously like we've been good but that's so we know when to take because we're so like goofy all
the time like we're constantly cracking jokes and so when we say code red we made a pact that like
this is the this is when it's serious so because we need to be able to have something where
if he says it like I know it's like okay like red alert like do whatever he says and like you know
like stay on his six we also practice those types of things which I can't recommend enough like
safety stuff you know self-defense stuff like um so yeah um how did I get here oh yeah Corey to
the rescue he came home because literally a man just like a man simply knocked on her door and
he's like I'm coming home this is not okay but it was the nature of him just being like inquisitive
I guess or like he was asking if he could come check out our patio and I'm literally back there
in a bikini that that's what it was literally I and I got I got uncomfortable because I was like
I wonder if he saw me and then maybe like came by I don't know um oh my god I do have something
to confess they already fired me shit is this like really am I a bad person like okay
I got an aggressive knock on my door like not just like a you know like not a I'm here
mind you we have a doorbell and I don't know why you didn't ring the doorbell
because we have a ring and this guy works for UPS so anyways the UPS driver came by and like
he was knocking on the door like so intensely and he's like ups ups and I'm supposed to return my
laptop to my old company because they're gonna like hear this and be like what the fuck who
fucking cares but I'm home alone and this guy's making me feel so uncomfortable by the way he's
like pounding on her door so I'm like I'm like I know I have my laptop right here in this box that
I could easily just hand you and you could just drive off with it and you know that would be the
final thing I have to do with my company so you know that you have to return your equipment
obviously at some point and like that would just end it you know but I was so like no I'm like you
don't first of all you don't fucking knock on my door like that that's second of all no like
and this is how I know like because if he rang the ring camera Corey would have been like hey
you know like what's up he didn't even ring it it's like right there um so yeah he's banging
on the door I'm just like not today like sorry you're not gonna I'm for I'm too uncomfortable
by the way you're knocking on this door it's like are you angry did you're do you just get
in a fight with your girlfriend like it was kind of one of those things where it's like this guy's
probably having a bad day so anyways um safety first um it's a crazy world out there um those
are the life updates cool I'm trying to think what else uh I kind of mentioned how I have to
like read you on my account but I guess there's actually like a a TikTok that's it's kind of like
okay I'll just play this and then I'll get into like my life updates with my social media accounts
because I think this could be super helpful
for people out there that are also in my position.
But yeah, I just thought this was funny
or I saw this and I was like, oh yeah, this, yeah.
I could honestly go back in time
and give myself one piece of business advice.
It'd be that Lil Wayne was in fact correct.
Real Gs do move in silence like lasagna.
Okay, I'm gonna cut her off there
because I saw this and immediately kept scrolling
because I was like, couldn't be me.
Could not be me.
I do not move in silence I tell you everything it's literally like what I've built for myself
here is like yeah this podcast is just one giant over this podcast is one
oversharing diary of the mouth like you know
storytelling adventure about me and all the things that I'm doing and all the things that
I'm thinking and my opinions and my fears and my moves and I'm going to just tell you my moves
I'm going to tell you my social media moves that I have to make unfortunately have to make
because I bought a shit ton I didn't even buy them I was gifted a shit ton of fake followers
like I don't care at this point like I think this could help some people so
currently my yeah my social media moves uh why am i saying this oh because i can't move in silence
because of this tiktok yeah um jesus so basically what i'm currently doing is like a lot of shit
posting i'm i'm shit posting because i'm trying to see what's sticking and what's working and
what i've learned from just shit posting hundreds of clips of my podcast is that they're not
getting any traction because I have so many fake followers and my accounts are probably flagged as
spam and uh there's the ratio of my actual engaged audience versus the robots is like so out of whack
that it's not the algorithm's not picking up in any any of my videos so yeah currently one of the
things that I'm having to adjust in my content repertoire or like content
like strategy is creating I have to create new accounts and I have too much and the backstory
I don't think okay I've I feel like I've talked about it a lot but I've about and here's the
like I'm so like over like I have no shame I guess like I just don't care like there are so
many people out there that buy fake followers that have fake followers and it is it's like
it's like part it's a tactic like it's part of so like building a brand on social media sometimes
and it it's only good for optics like it's only good for first impressions but if you're actually
trying to grow an audience and get engaged fans and people to follow you that comment that are
interesting your stuff that are actually there in front of you and like part of your community
and what you're building then the fake followers are going to shoot you in the ass every time and
that's what I'm experiencing so long story short I work for a company a PR company startup startup
company that um one of the services we offered was account boosting and so I fought my boss for
so long I was like I don't want to do it I don't want to do it like he's like no it'll be good for
your podcast like it'll help you know people see your account has a lot of followers and it'll help
people will like want to follow you because you have a lot of followers and I was just like
he like honestly like brainwashed me into doing it because I was against it for so long because
I knew that like I won't know what's legit and what's not once I do it I'm kind of fucked so
my at Jacqueline Rowe Instagram account that's what I'm talking about blew up to like 130,000
followers. And, um, I deleted recently like 5,000 spam accounts. Cause there's like a feature that
you can, you know, there there's a way you can delete the spam anyways. So I'm having to, I'm
having to do a lot of repairs and fixes on everything. And it's frustrating because I know
I don't suck at what I do. Like, I know what I'm doing here is quality and it's a value and like
aesthetically it's like it's not like I'm on a you know a 90s camcorder or whatever like
my type of videos are worthy of more than just two likes and like four views so
it's definitely the algorithm it's definitely my fake followers um and I've been explained this
has been enough people have told me this where I'm like and I'm stubborn I'm like I don't want
to have to make a new account I'll I'll override the algorithm I'll just I'll post like 500 clips
a day and I'll override it I'll override it and then it'll like finally pick mine up and it'll
finally like but that's just not that's just not how it works in social media so I have to start
from zero which um it's not like a I don't think it's not like a pride thing I'm just like damn
like I don't want to have to move I'm not gonna honestly like I'm just gonna make new accounts for
my podcast so Jacqueline's podcast on TikTok and Jacqueline's podcast on Instagram those are the
ones I'm trying to blow up now and start from zero it's like I have zero followers on both
I start I made them last night and again I'm telling you my moves these are my moves
I'm not moving in silence because I think that by telling you what I'm doing I can help people
who are sitting there. Like, why doesn't the algorithm like me? Why don't I get any likes?
And why don't I get any views? I'm talking, if you're trying to make money from social media,
like this shit doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. These are all vanity metrics. Like
I am not, yeah, I'm, I'm aware of how this might sound. I'm talking about from a business
perspective, people out there that are trying, they need these, this engagement for brand deals
and for sponsorships for their podcasts, like me and for, yeah, just overall, um, money-making
purposes on social media. So it's part of the game. It's how the machine works. And, um,
yeah, I'm like, damn it. Damn it. You know, like, I'm just like, but my YouTube's legit as
legit as fuck with my 135 subscribers. I am so like obsessed with YouTube right now. So
please, like, I know I asked in the beginning, but if you haven't subscribed to my YouTube channel,
please go subscribe. Um, because that's a fun one to grow. I feel like YouTube is such a fun,
like, um, quest to go on because I feel like it's the pinnacle for me. It's like, yeah,
Instagram's cool. Tik TOKs, whatever. I don't know what's happening with Tik TOK, but YouTube is
like, I can't wait to yeah. Build that one out. So I'm trying to get my first thousand subscribers,
which is such a grind like there's so many milestones you have to do as a creator and
I feel like I'm just getting started even though I've been doing this for almost four years
this is like week two of me trying because up until this point I've been doing it for fun and so
yeah it's wild like and I made a video yeah I made a video on TikTok about about this
is this like okay I'm just gonna we'll get into the these other funny videos and shit but
um, about how, like, I don't know. I don't want to get into like businessy
self-help or mindset stuff, but I don't care. I don't care who you are out there, but like,
and what you do, but if you want to be good at anything and successful, anything, it's all like
the word is consistency. Like that's it. That's the game. Just show up every day,
whatever your little like goals are like never miss just and i've stuck with this for yeah a
long time and i think yeah anyways um so yeah i'm shit posting i'm rebuilding my accounts i have
a fuck ton of fake followers that i think i started i don't my instagram probably had like
10k so everything else is fake like literally it's like what is that 90,000 followers
so annoying um okay here's just the here's a fun one i don't know i just saw this and laughed
reminded me one of my exes i used to be in a lesbian relationship not with a woman of course
but with a man that was a bitch okay that's all there is to that
this one's so good this one is so good 30 years living on this motherfucking earth and i ain't
never seen no chinese food commercial so i went in way too deep with this chinese food commercial
thing where I thought about it and I was like wait I haven't seen like I've seen McDonald's ads
I've seen Taco Bell ads Starbucks I mean there's commercials for everything literally everything
except Chinese food and I had to dig up like I googled Chinese food commercial and like this
one is from the 90s like literally this is a this is how much they don't exist like this is literally
from the 90s for a short time china coast is stirring up sizzling cashew chicken but hurry
because tender chicken stir fried with fresh broccoli crisp carrots and roasted cashews is
going fast at a red hot price of 5.99 and because you crave egg rolls every entree comes with our
free appetizer platter with endless refills when you want hurry in for cashew chicken before the
offer and get the crave get the crave yeah there's that one from the 90s this one's super old too
like what is it about chinese food commercials like they just
they just don't exist it's like all like they probably it's like word of mouth i don't know
like what what what do they do for marketing like these there aren't a lot of big chains i mean like
There's literally, like, Panda Express.
I'm just thinking of, like, the fast foodie ones.
Okay, here's this one.

okay this is panda express here we go 2013 the chinese culture has a great respect for harmony
It can be seen in the iconic yin and yang, elements working together to create something greater, each one complementing the other.
At Panda, we see our business the same way.
Our mission is not just to create great food.
It's to develop great people, people who are inspired, people who are fulfilled, people who are happy.
making great food is what gives us purpose but helping make great people is what gives us joy

you can't beat it. So good. Got 1500 calories per bite, but it's great. So good. Um, cool. Well,
just wanted to see what, I don't know. I like this game. Any others? I'm just honestly like
this whole episode is just, it's like, what is it? You know, but we're doing it and we're
watching tiktoks right now and uh i talked about how you immediately rushed home when the man
knocked on her door well and how you came to the rescue not to make your stroke your ego
you know i'm hearing a lot of things lately that they that they do weird shit so okay question for
you speaking of guys knocking on our doors uh did you get a ring from a ups guy yesterday
i don't recall i knew it i knew it okay there's a story you'll have to listen to the cast i
told the story about the ups man yesterday that i denied okay yeah i don't remember i don't remember
seeing that okay i might have been on the call or something okay yeah it's good never to answer
the front door never not for anyone yeah um just for you just for me just for me um
yeah we went over uh we went over some wedding stuff today
about the people that are going to be there on the party so it's going to be a fun weekend
can't wait um what else is going on fun bash um don't tell me like specifics about like i
keep it light here because yeah there's no specifics i don't even know it but oh okay
we're gonna have a good group of people that are gonna be there yeah well anything else
uh what'd you eat for lunch are you eating lunch i'm doing like uh i'm doing a 24 hour fast i
shut up like are you and i just haven't eaten anything so you're like on purpose doing it
no no but i'm like hey let's see how long i can go do you feel skinny right now i'm at 17 hours
of fasting oh wow i'm still sipping on my latte really i'm having it's like it's like my stomach
hurts right now and it's like i'm literally drinking a latte with a diet coke at the same
time yeah that's healthy that's good no i know that's good so all right well glad i could help
you got an hour and a half left yeah i thought that was that would be kind of like an entertaining
segment to play this like i've never seen a chinese food commercial before and then
you fucking
immediately said yes
panda
panda
um
speaking of bears do you stay on
firm with your decision to leave
our future daughter in the woods with a bear
instead of a man
I'd leave it with a bear
you would
yeah okay

you're welcome
welcome good work today keep it going i i will i'm i'm grinding it's the rest of your life keep

yeah i don't know what that is or that what that fucking was let's do a different tiktok
uh here we go this is so great like i love this it's so accurate
okay this is point of view you go on a date but she speaks in tiktok brain rot language
if you know what that is you'll immediately or if you don't know what that is you'll get it
immediately here you go yeah oh my god the fittest fitting pop-off king you're totally
giving golden retriever boyfriend energy which is amazing because i want to be giving black cat
energy so you know what i mean anyway i read all the reviews on this restaurant on tiktok and
apparently the tuna tartar app is absolutely to die for and it is life-changing but i might get
a chicken caesar salad you know like movie when we're back in poughkeepsie i feel it i'm so
obsessed with watching her tiktok journey i'm so obsessed with her yeah anyway what are you gonna
to drink i'm feeling like an espresso martini moment but everything in here is giving dirty
martini aesthetic olive girl summer and also is trying to go for like a classy old money core vibe
yeah so i feel like a dirty martini will match my aesthetic a little bit more yeah what are your
hobbies mm-hmm i'm sorry i'm just on my phone because i posted a grwm and ootd for the date
ahead of time and i just want to see how it was doing yeah but golf yeah that's so slight yeah
Yeah. What are my hobbies? How dare you ask me? Girl hobbies, of course. Yeah. I really like
hot girl walking. I really like girl dinner. I really like like getting my hair done and like
online shopping. That's girl therapy. Yeah. I think I might do like a Scandinavian hairline
or maybe like an old money blonde or maybe a cowboy copper. What do you think? No, it's not
natural blonde. Okay. There aren't any adult blondes out there. Okay. What do you do for work?
Finance. You're a finance bro. Yes. Oh my God. I can't. There's like 10 seconds left. Here you go.
slay red flag oh you heard that yeah that's so great oh my god
i unfortunately have heard this in the wild um this
tiktok brain rot speak in the wild more times than i can count and it's crazy like it is when
you hear it you're like like it was like 3 a.m and a party one no not that late it was like
I'm so I'm so like you know I'm tired but I'm like drunk like standing in the kitchen
I don't know like I'm just like it's the end of the night and this girl's like her eyes are
bugged out talking to me like this about social media stuff because I think I said oh I have a
podcast it was like slay like whatever like exactly like this girl and yeah like i don't know
do i talk like that sometimes i have like tinge i'll say like moment or it's giving or
i'll say slay i like saying slay in the comment section
if i'm typing something i don't know but it's crazy like people
what did she say that like really like triggered me she was like
oh the espresso martini versus dirty martini aesthetic it's like thinking in everything in
your life is like you're thinking in social media like everything you do is like I don't know from
that frame so anyways um here's a helpful tip uh for my fellow over shares who need help with
not over sharing person and later on you thought to yourself i never never have you ever overshared
with have you ever overshared with the wrong person and later on you thought to yourself
I never want to do that again we've all been there the next time this happens and you feel
pressured to continue that pattern of oversharing I want you to go gray rock wait what yes gray rock
is a communication tactic where you become more bland or basic with your responses and overall
less engaged in the conversation for reference I'm well with Raelle your communication coach
here to help you socialize and articulate with kindness, class, and confidence. Executing the
gray rock method can be hard for those of us who are extroverted or like to talk or have a pattern
of sharing certain information with certain people. You might also think that going gray rock
means you're being cold, defensive, or angry, and that doesn't have to be the case. So here are a
few examples of replacing oversharing with some soft gray rocking. Yeah, remember I told you I
got fired last month it's been so hard finding a new job people just don't respond I was barely
making rent as it is and now my severance is almost up and I'm really worried I don't know
yeah I'm still looking for a new job and going to a few different networking events to hopefully
meet new people and find new opportunities okay so you see the difference cool gray rocking gray
rocking I'm gonna gray rock you know I feel like I here's the thing when I saw this video
it reminded me of a conversation I had in the sauna with someone where I noticed myself like
really holding back about the details of my life and like my situation with my job and like my
podcast like I just keep it very surface and I feel like I don't know if it's like a trusting
a trust thing with me and I don't know if this is some sort of like control thing like I
whatever but um
I think it's what it is this is what it is is because I've met so many people where they're
literally telling me their entire life story with all of the juicy details like as soon as I meet
them like they're already saying all this like really intense stuff like I never want to come
across like that and seem like this messy chaotic dramatic chick like I mean honestly it's like who
cares right like who really cares but I think there's like a there's a time and a place and
for me I feel like when I first meet someone I'm very surface obviously like this is a natural
progression and the more you get to know me the more I'm like you know saying stuff the more I'm
sharing and getting deeper and deeper and I'm letting my walls down. But, um, yeah, I caught
myself doing this and it's weird. I feel like public facing or like, or excuse me, like in
person, I gray rock all the time. Like I'm very, is this like blocking me from making
female friendships, meaningful connections and like friendships? Because I'm like, so
I don't know but but what I'm saying is that I have I do not carry that trait when I get on the
microphone you're gonna hear my entire life story which is super like one of the things that is
always in the back of my mind is that like I'll meet someone and maybe they'll mention they listen
to my podcast maybe they won't or or whatever but it's crazy how like if you listen to my show and
I feel this way about so many other podcasts like you literally feel like you know everything about
the person so it's just like this weird new new age thing like that's what I'm offering here like
I know what I'm signing up for like I know that's what I do but um because it's a lot like I
literally pour it out for like two hours every week and say everything um actually
there are certain topics I don't touch and I'll be honest and this will be a fun little
maybe i shouldn't say it there has been there's some stuff there has been and i'll just say let's
put it in the last three months four months ish since i'd say since the start of the year
there's been something i completely didn't talk about at all like zero that happened um in my life
um you know it's like religion and politics maybe are those like the two top no those are like
don't talk about that what am i saying anyways so yeah there's i don't say everything here but i say
a lot um so gray rocking a nice little tip there if you are a chronic overshare and you
want to learn how to pull the reins back just keep it simple you know um i like this too
if you pay close enough attention like if you take your emotions out of the situation however
you feel about them take that out it doesn't matter if you pay close enough attention to people
and what they say and their actions and how they talk and the little things that they say things
that you're like oh that was random oh that was weird why'd they bring that up like that had
nothing to do with the conversation why did they say that if you pay close enough attention to
those things people will always a hundred percent of the time you know what 120 percent of the time
myself included people will always tell on themselves oh my god this is the one hill
that not even the hill this is the mount everest that i will die on put my tombstone up there let
me rest on that mountain because this is 100 guaranteed okay it's a six and a half minute
video so i'm gonna stop it there but i saw this and it is she is so right like
people tell on themselves every single time and i remembered a situation like when i watch this
video how and this is a relationship tip if you're in a relationship with a guy who
it's it has it's so hard to like I'm trying to think of something specific
um basically when a man you're dating brings up random information that is so out of context with
whatever you're doing whatever you're talking about if he calls you randomly and says something
that's like where did this come from like pay attention to that because he's probably cheating
on you just saying um I had like clarity after I got cheated on like I looked back and I went oh
yeah all that shit kind of makes sense now but there are so many moments where he would bring
up like I don't even want to like make I don't even want to give this any fucking attention
or time like I hate talking it's just like um still still healing from my no I'm kidding but
um because it's just so dumb like I just like I think what it is is I don't like thinking of
myself I don't like thinking of that version of myself that was so oblivious and just so like
like I didn't see it but I could help people here so what I'll say is yeah after the fact
there I recalled so many times when they would just bring up something so like
I don't know I don't want to get specific because it's like two I don't know I did an entire podcast
on this before two podcasts by the way um it's my most popular episode or one of them so
but what I was oh the day I found out about everything like the red flag for me was just
this just what this girl said how they tell on themselves because he would never tell me details
about where he was going what he was doing who he was with he was never like I trusted him I was
like go like have fun go do whatever you want to do and on the the time I had the day I'd found out
it was so odd how he called me and gave me like really specific random details of his whereabouts
and his plans for that night and I just was like immediately gut feeling like I just knew because
I'm like this, you called me earlier. I already knew what you were doing. And then, so people
will tell on themselves every single time if you pay attention. And also if you're okay,
when you're looking for commitment from a man and they're not being clear, like if they're
saying stuff like, um, it's like a good example. I don't know. Just never changed for me.
never settle like never um I'm trying to think of a specific example here um
yeah wishy-washiness is just not for me just not for me so if you are trying to figure out if they
like you if you're trying to figure out what their intentions are what they want if you're
ever confused the thing is is when you're with the right person you will never ever be confused
it will never you'll just it's so clear that they they want to be with you they love everything
about you they're all they want to commit to you they want to maybe marry you if they're if they're
you know wanting to take that next step in their life like that should be crystal clear it shouldn't
be confusing like relationships should not be that's just my opinion and I've had the thing
is about confusing tumultuous my favorite word tumultuous tumultuous tumultuous rocky relationships
is that the highs are high and the lows are low and some people thrive in that environment of
uncertainty and confusion and drama and because a lot of people that come from a traumatic
background like myself for example like I definitely have a traumatic I have complex
childhood trauma or whatever like that's what my body like uh thrives on like it thrives in chaos
in a weird way and so it like wants that or it that's a natural i don't know the all the therapists
i've talked to like this is what they say so when you get into something really healthy and that's
stable and um calm and help and like not confusing and not dramatic it's like you're it's almost like
a shock to this system and you're like you're like looking for things i did and i'll admit this like
and this is what i took my biggest advice for women that are coming out of abusive toxic not
not to say okay i was never in an abusive relationship i will say that um but like toxic
fuck boy drama loser relationships with stupid men who don't really like you and that are just
you know using you or whatever like when you go from that to something healthy and stable
if you're not careful you'll sabotage it because you're like you'll pick a fight you'll make
something up you'll it's like it's so dumb I don't even know what part of the brain caused
like does this but you're like searching you'll be like you'll I don't know like I had a bad I
had a I had a bad moment with Corey like not a wasn't even like a horrible like it wasn't bad
where it's like it's over but okay this is so dumb I'll just tell the story like we're literally
getting married like everything's good like nothing is bad like but we were walking through
like a CVS or Rite Aid and I like he had his arm around me and I like took it off of me
and I was just like walking by myself and I was being all dramatic because maybe like some
little thing he said in the car like something so dumb and I'm like that was all bullshit like
that was not me like that wasn't what I actually felt I just like you it's like you create drama
and you create problems out of thin air when you're not used it's so fucked this is a thing
there's like psychology to this but my tip yeah if you're like me where you're used to like
drama and everything's like all over the place and you you know it's just chaos and just
unhealthiness um you when everything's good and happy and loving and supportive and positive and
perfect when everything's perfect you just be careful don't sabotage it don't
don't throw a wrench in the situation just for funsies just to see but see women do that they
like that's how they like test their men though right like the isn't that like a natural thing
you do early in dating just to like test your man
bitches we're crazy as fuck i mean like there's we all of us men women it's just like it's a wild
world out there like human beings trying to like mold their themselves together and couple up and
like adjust to each other's personalities and mannerisms and wants and needs and desire it's
just like a lot you know so no wonder things go sideways so quickly and yeah so people always
telling themselves there's that tick tock and now strap in okay uh strap in if you have a weak
stomach please skip ahead we're doing it i'm just gonna rip the band-aid off i'm gonna rip the
band-aid off and play this video about a woman named Allison that survived something insane
and her story is a miracle and uh yeah so we're gonna we're gonna jump right in I have a tiktok
I have a couple tiktoks to play one of them's about 10 minutes by the way so
we'll listen to the whole story and I'll break it down after but um yeah like skip ahead 10 to 15
right now if you're queasy um but if you're like me you probably heard that and immediately started
popping popcorn because you're you are I don't know is it um is that insane to be that way like
what is it's like when you hear like don't look you're gonna look you know don't listen you're
gonna listen it's like you're curious like that um it's kind of you're like the it's weird like
the older I get the more I'm like like these true crime shows they really get me now where I'm like
super locked in and I could not and this is the I've said this so many times but I swear the only
reason I even dabble like deep dive now like I watch them I know it's not like the healthiest
to watch before bed but like I love a pre-bedtime true crime documentary um literally the only
reason I can like fall asleep peacefully after I watch these shows is because Corey's with me
like I could never when I was single and I was living by myself even when I was like
in relationships and just having when I had my own place like I could never watch these types
the shows alone like yeah so anyways um I'm gonna play this um this girl on TikTok just like broke
down the story in a really good like clear way so we'll play this and then we'll get into it
have you guys ever heard of the case of Allison Bafa because I watch a true crime video like
every day while I'm getting ready which my boyfriend says is a red flag but this is by far
the most craziest, most insane, sickening in the worst way possible case that I've ever heard of.
So I'm going to tell you about it. And if you have like a queasy stomach or you just are not good
with listening to gruesome details, don't watch this. Okay. So it's 1994. This case takes place
in South Africa. Like I said, her name is Alison Batha. She is a normal girl, normal, happy
childhood the day that it happened was December 18th 1994 and she goes out with her friends they
have a beach share whatever completely normal day they go back to her apartment to hang out and then
one of her friends is going to walk home and Allison is like I don't want you to walk home
I'll give you a ride so it's one in the morning Allison drops off her friend she goes back to her
parking lot back in her apartment she gets is getting out of the car a guy comes up to her
with a very, and I don't want to say the wrong thing because I don't want TikTok to take this
video down, but a very sharp, long weapon that you usually use in the kitchen. And a guy puts
it up to her neck and says, get in the car or I'll kill you. Before we get further in the story,
let's introduce the two men who are terrifying that are the main part of the story. So Franz
de Toit and T.S. Kruger, a little bit about Franz. He is, I think had a decent childhood,
son of a policeman he started dabbling in satanism in high school he so um he started dating this girl
who said that she was a witch and she loved Satan so France loved Satan as well he said that he was
possessed by the devil when he was like 14 or 15 years old and then he kind of like backed off from
it a little bit he went into the army when he was 18 years old until he was 20 which is so concerning
then a man that says he is possessed by satan is in the army like that's so scary and um then when
he gets out of the army at 20 years old he starts dabbling in petty crimes like stealing and things
like that and at this point of the story he is 26 years old so a little bit about tns um he is 19
years old at the time of the story so you have france that is 26 tns that is 19 and then allison
is 27 at the time of the story so compared to franz tns had a bad upbringing he had a hard
childhood i think um he dropped out of school and then he ended up also joining the army when he was
18 and then he also actually started dating a girl who said she was a witch and started dabbling in
satanism and i guess that's kind of how the two guys became friends because they there are a
couple of white guys uh one's bald the other guys got like longer hair they look they look like they
do something like this that's what i'll say they're they just have a scary vibe about them
one's bald the other guy they both dated witches that love satan and they love satan and then
they were both they look like they do like this okay so back in the parking lot
the thing on allison's neck and he's like don't worry he's like to get in the car whatever they
get in the car he says don't worry i don't want to hurt you he keeps telling her that over and
over again and then he's like we have to pick up my friend the friend being tns so now france and
tns and allison are in the car they drive her out all the way to the field and at this point like
allison's begging and she's like you could have the car um just drop me off here like i won't
tell anyone blah blah and the guys just started ignoring her and then they drive her out to the
field and they just look at her and say are you going to fight by that point allison knew what
was going to happen and I think you can assume what happened they abused her in the worst way
possible and then oh and also an important part of the story so when it was Franz and Allison in
the car Franz is just like having a normal conversation with Allison and he asks her what
her name is she thinks quick on her feet and she lies obviously she says some fake name and then
Allison's like what's your name and Franz also lies and says a fake name okay so after they do
what they do to Allison then they start talking the two men start talking amongst each other and
that is when Allison finds out both of their real names because she hears them saying France and
Tina so she puts two and two together realizes those are their names and this is an important
part of the story so they're discussing discussing right in front of her what if they should kill her
and how they should kill her and then they decide that they should so they take the sharp object
they start so many times 35 to be exact in the stomach just over and over and over in the stomach
35 times and then as if that wasn't enough i don't know if it was france or tans but he takes the
sharp object and goes like this across allison over and over and over again 16 times 16 so this
is where it gets crazy so then the two guys are discussing Allison blacks out at some point because
how could you not she like passes out and then she kind of comes back to it the two men are
discussing if they think that she is actually dead or whatever they decide that they do think
that she's dead because how would a human ever survive that kind of attack Allison hears them
talking about this and she is again quick on her feet and she decides to play dead so she's just
laying there pretending like she's done so then the two men leave they leave her because they think
it's done and then Allison is just laying on the ground like kind of bleeding out and she thinks
I'm gonna die here this is it for me and then she was like found some sort of strength to think I
don't want these men to do this ever again to anyone else so with so she's laying on the field
with the littlest amount of strength that she has left she writes on the sand their first names she
only knew their first names but she writes them on the sand so that the police could know who
actually okay there's a picture i guess a police photo of the fucking like of her writing the names
in the sand like you can see like where she had done it which is crazy like did this to her and
then this is really sad but um she writes also on the sand i love mom so that when they found her
her mom would know that she was thinking about her on her last few minutes and she kind of just
lays there accepting her faith and she's like I'm gonna die death is gonna come for me but that
death does not come and this is where it gets gruesome so then Allison is like okay can I
survive this she starts thinking maybe she does have a chance and she decides she gathers up
however much strength she has somehow and she gets on her hands and knees and she feels like
something wet on her feet so at this point she looks down and she realizes that the wet things
on her feet obviously blood but her intestines are outside of her body so somehow she gathers
again the smallest amount of strength that she has left she reaches onto her clothes she gets
her clothes because she realizes that the men threw them out of the car before they left she
gets the clothes wraps up her stomach to kind of hold the insides in back in and then she tries to
stand up i am warning you about this part so as she stands up she gets on her feet she realizes
that everything goes black she's like so confused like why is this dark she can't see anything she
reaches up to her head with her hand so one hand is holding her insides in she reaches up with her
other hand and she can't find her neck like she just is feeling nothing and she realizes that
because of the 16 of these her head is basically decapitated and it's flopped back which is why
she can't see and this is so insane I can't even believe that this is like a real story that I'm
saying but so she kind of reaches for her head puts it back in place and it's just holding it
and it's like okay this is it this is all I got she walks back to the main street when she gets
back to the main street um a car drives by and sees her I can't even imagine what she looked like
and then they actually drive away the second car drives by and Allison is kind of like afraid that
it's going to be the two men coming back to finish her off but luckily it's a group of students and
one guy is um a 20 year old guy he's actually a veterinary veterinary student so the guy who is
essentially the hero of this story besides Allison herself she's literally a hero as well she's her
own hero um his name is Tian not to be confused with Tian's the bad guy so Tian is a student he
gets out of the car he starts helping Allison immediately um calls 911 40 minutes pass an hour
passes after an hour and a half finally the ambulance comes and Tian's just knows that he
has to keep Allison alive somehow she still she obviously can't talk but she's still like opening
her eyes and stuff and Tian's it just keeps telling her you've the most beautiful eyes I've
ever seen keep them open keep them open keep them open and somehow she does so after two hours
actually not an hour and a half finally the ambulance shows up it's actually insane how much
the universe was on Allison's side at this point because who could ever survive that and then like
luckily she got enough strength and was able to drag herself to the main road luckily that specific
car of students stopped because since Tian was a veterinary student I can't say that word he kind
knew what to do to keep her alive long enough for the ambulance to show up and then so she goes to
the hospital is rushed into emergency surgery obviously and luckily the surgeon that was
operating on her was actually a throat specialist so she he could like deal with the whole situation
well somehow this video is almost 10 minutes long um so i'm gonna have to do a part two
i don't think she did a part two but uh that's good enough for me i don't know if that's
enough for you but um that's basically the the story the crazy story of allison
boffa boffa i think is how you say her last name um i'm also going to play this clip of her
interview and then we'll talk about it suddenly a guy disappeared there he was looking for someone
put a knife to my throat and just said to me move over so i'll kill you
and you know you never know how you're going to react in a situation like that but what i did is
just to stay calm to do nothing to make him angry i thought it would just be he didn't sell me at
the time what he was planning to do with me but what they had planned was to rape and kill their
victim he picked up a friend the two it was two white men and they took me to the bushes um in
the outskirts of pe this happened in port elizabeth a bushy area dark area they they i hoped that it
was only going to be raped because when they said to me are you going to fight us i thought well i
can get through rape i can surely if i can just switch off i can get through it um but they had
planned to actually kill their victim so after the rape they strangled me um fortunately i was
unconscious through most of the injuries because they then stabbed me in the abdomen about 35 36
times they the doctors found out and then cut my throat 16 times oh okay enough enough of the
videos there. Uh, so yeah, just to recap, she was, um, 27, uh, 27 year old at the time.
And this was in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I just read here that her killers, um,
are they were released
they didn't kill her but they i mean they got pretty fucking close how do you not go for life
you know what i mean like after 28 years behind bars on july 4th 2023 franz and tns
franz de toi de toi i can't do french and tns kruger were released on parole
by the department of correction services yeah i don't know when i was watching because you know
you never know what's going to pop up on your fyp right and i was just like okay i don't know what
time it was it's probably like pre-bed time this this video came up and i saw that it was like
going to be 10 minutes but i think the caption was like this is the most insane true crime story
i've ever heard and i hadn't heard like i've heard so many of them but like i hadn't heard this one
and i was like immediately just locked in by it um just the way she told the story that was by
m shelly on tiktok by the way the girl that narrated um the story about allison
and yeah just the nature of how how things unfolded where she's literally sitting there
with her intestines wrapped up in her clothes and her head half it's like she had to like flop her
head back up these were the details that i was like i can't believe what i'm listening to and
she survived like if your arteries in your neck aren't pumping blood to your brain like they must
have not i don't know something was still connected where she survived that because i don't know how
you get 16 slashes in your throat and like I don't it's a true miracle I mean and then the
fact that it took two hours for the ambulance to finally arrive and she didn't like bleed out in
those two hours and die question mark like so I noticed that um Allison Botha B-O-T-H-A I think
it's Botha I think that's how you say it um I noticed that she has a TikTok she like made a
few videos but I think she does like public speaking stuff now and talks about I don't know
being a survivor of you know yeah the amazing survival there's actually wait a minute is there
a video I want to say there's a documentary on is it on prime it's called Allison movies Allison
documentary
oh shit it's a full-on like reenactment of it on prime
mm-hmm yeah so nuts just nuts just absolutely like what the it's like I didn't need to know
that you know what I mean like I but it was one of those stories where I'm like this is crazy she
survived it just goes to show you though how like the will to live is so strong like even at your
final moments like you're still like I'm gonna do what I'm gonna like one little centimeter one
little millimeter makes the biggest difference and like you know just like moving your body a
little bit or like tucking your organs back in and fucking crawling you know like um
yeah that's the question of the day have you ever been in a life or death situation
and uh how was it right in right into the show I should do oh my god like should this just be
should this just be my niche now like true crime I I don't know I just it's so intriguing and I
think it's because it's unfathom it's unfathom fathom fathomable to like
think about like yeah what I don't know
so that is not the show we're still going but I'm pausing because I need
a beverage those are like okay so we have did my life updates we did our tiktoks
yeah the met gala right so everyone's talking about kim k's
dress that she wore was a mason margella mason margella margella dress it was like chain mail
or like metal and people are speculating about the sweater she wore wore over her shoulders because
um it looked so odd like it looked it didn't look like it was supposed to be part of the
the look and she's like i think she said in an interview oh this is like when you're cold and
you put on your boyfriend's sweater when you're walking through the garden or something like i
feel like they just made that made that up and a lot of people are speculating because the
corset was so tight there's no way she didn't just have like a ton of like bulging back fat
by her like armpits at the back you know so they covered it with a little like raggedy sweater
um piece of me likes it like a piece of me is like kind of looks like it's kind of a look like
it looks like a complete from a i can see the the juxtaposition or whatever between
like the metal the hard metal with the soft sweater i don't know i just don't love her
as a blonde like she she just doesn't i mean i don't love her hair how it looked in that but
it's like Khaleesi blonde like very very white blonde but um speaking of Kim K
she got booed at the Tom Brady roast
like again when I started the show I was like I don't really want to talk about any of this stuff
it's like whatever it was cool like I like I liked watching Bert and Tom get up there and
do their thing they did a good they had a good little segment during the roast and then obviously
everyone's talking about Nikki Glaser and just how she killed that how she was the one um that
like stole the show and um she's like I've seen her roasts before or like yeah I don't know she
just has like a fuck you-ness about her like and I or not like a fuck you-ness but like a
just a very cutting way of talking when she's at these roasts where it like
because you're looking at her and she's like this cute blonde like
lady with nice legs and she's up there in her like hot outfit and it's like
she's just being a you know aggressive and it's yeah it like works so um yeah but kim got booed
i guess here's the clip of it but netflix like cut it out to come from somebody worthy of a
moment as such a special friend and a special lady kim kardashian come on
she she looks cute i guess with a blonde
thank you so much kevin
well thank you
i know a lot of people make fun of your height
oh
all right all right kevin am i like stupid like why do why are people booing kim is it because
like what are they not is there like controversy with her right now or is it the whole like
her dating rumors of her dating tom like i don't get it i'm i'm like so i don't get it
like people just don't like her because she's kim kardashian like what's the
um was this at sofi i think this was at it was like a huge arena i mean this i think was at sofi
um yeah i i guess like netflix cut it out they like took the booing out whatever um
jason kelsey has a good point i saw this clip of him talking about the tom brady roast on
his podcast with travis and he was saying like how much did they pay him
to do this like how much did he get paid for people to to roast him because like
who would ever do this like who would because it's like your family's a mess you know you're
you're on a Zempik or whatever, like you gotta, you got face work done, like your career's over
and you know, your wife left you for the, the trainer. And like, like why would you ever want
to like put yourself through that? I guess, I don't know. That's what he was saying, but
um, obviously he was paid very well. And on, this is a lesson in
okay this is okay and Tom Brady was saying that he got roasted in the locker room every single
day like he was used to you know shit talk like clearly like you're you're a football player
you're around a bunch of dudes like they're talking shit to each other he's used to this
kind of stuff like it's and I think it's um if you can laugh at yourself if you if you can it's
the highest form of self-awareness when like you're not offended or you can understand why
people are um making jokes about you you get the joke like you're in on the joke you're aware
you're not you know i think there's one that he pushed back on about bill belichick i think
or someone in the like a coach maybe it wasn't him i don't remember but um that what i when i
saw these like videos and people were like talking about like how how why would you ever sign up for
this like what's the point of doing this like why now like I don't get it like what's point I'm just
like look it's Tom Tom's world we're just living in it like that's the vibe it's like I feel like
the mindset you have to have and I don't know if this is like a killer mentality like a not like a
like a killer, but like a, like a Tom Brady, like goat mentality is like,
like, like he's the one laughing. Like he's the one, like people are making fun of him,
but he's laughing all the way to the bank. He's like, he's kind of at that level where like no,
nothing anyone says about him is going to ruin his reputation. Like he's, he's already beyond that.
So to him, it's like he's sitting there. He's like, yeah, this is my messed up crazy world where I have, you know, divorce and I did this and I did that and I look like this and I look like that or whatever with his face. People are like people are making fun of him left and right. And, you know, literally like roasting him for everything about him. And I feel like he's just like, yeah, like.
you're just yeah you're in my world like welcome to my world like who cares it's very much like
who cares like I don't know I feel like that's just such a good mindset to have like who gives
a fuck what anyone says ever even if it's like true and it's and it's kind of like it's uh
embarrassing that's the thing oh my god I feel like the highest mindset level you can unlock
for yourself as a human is to get to the point where nothing embarrasses you like that is
advanced level shit like as a human being like if you can just be so I've been using this word a lot
like stoic and just unfazed and like who cares I mean I'm telling myself this right now because
I put myself online publicly and I might do things that typically other people would be
embarrassed by and they wouldn't post it or whatever and this is like it's like it's like
working a muscle like just saying like just owning who you are owning everything about what you've
said what you've done and being like yeah and like that is like the high because so many people and
this is like cliche as fuck but like they go through life worried about what other people
think of them and they play small and they're they're not really true to themselves because
of that and um yeah like I'm just not scared I'm like I just I think it's like exciting it's like
you're not as long as you're not hurting anybody and you're like
honest and you know kind and you're being a good person like
yeah embarrassment's a weird one or like a shame shame shame and embarrassment are weird
are weird when i used to experience a lot of shame i still have i still have shame actually
that could be an entire pot no damn it like i did cry the other day to cory
about something i was feeling i i felt shame for the first time in a long time
it was weird and i was like oh this is coming back up and then we talked about it and then
i don't know i i do all these like psychology tricks on myself to like get through
my little dips and um that's the thing about relationship that I'm learning um
like especially like the longer you're with someone or like the more
deeper your relationship it forced relationship relationships force you to go deep
and look inward and you're constantly being like mirrored or whatever and like
and I think with Corey like it's been this wonderful like excavation of my you know
like I just I've been going deep a lot lately and I think it's a it's the nature of like I'm
turning 30 and I'm changing careers and I'm getting married and there's these new life
chapters happening and I'm like doing a lot of like self-reflection and you know it's just like
natural thing to do like when you're in this phase of life and I don't love it because if
you know anything about me like one of the ways I healed my mental health was to basically act
like a man and just like shut my fucking brain off and stop thinking so it's been annoying to
be honest like going through these little like lulls of going deep and thinking and
feeling things that I don't like feeling because I need to feel my feelings and let my you know
just annoying and so um but back to what I was saying about like the highest level or like
the most advanced level like mindset shit is like not getting embarrassed not being embarrassed
because I think if that was the case people like think about think about all the things that you
want to do in your life like how many of them are you not doing because you're you'd be embarrassed
if someone saw you do them you know I feel like that's so many people out there it's even myself
like I was that way with social media the literal reason I didn't make a YouTube channel my biggest
life regret is not making you a YouTube channel in seventh grade I just got a MacBook I think I
got it for Christmas and I had a little camera on there and I was watching all these other YouTubers
open up their laptops with their laptop camera and record themselves putting on makeup and
I never did it because I was so embarrassed of my voice or what I look whatever you know I'm in
seventh grade like no shit I can't be hard on myself like at the time like okay that definitely
like tracks for being a little pre-teen or whatever but and I was getting bullied super
bad at school and like, it was not, it just wasn't a good combo. So, um, but yeah, I would
have done. So I feel like with social media stuff, like so many people don't start cause
they're like embarrassed. They're like, Oh, I don't like how I look on camera or I don't
like how I sounded. These are again, all cliches, but you get it. That's why I feel like if
I had to get on a stage in front of literally if I had to get on this stage and roast Tom Brady I
could do it like I'm at this so cocky I feel like no but here's the thing I feel like I just I don't
know I want to I almost want to like test it out like I almost want I need a situation with a like
a microphone a lot of people and I just want to see what happens because I don't feel like I would
do the thing I used to do where I would clam up and I get anxious and I'd be like oh I would just
like be so like even if I was like you know they had to interview me for the news for something
like I just be like hey what's up like I wouldn't be shy about I just be like almost calm I feel so
calm whenever I do this I just feel so yeah calm and um it obviously just takes practice and time
and work and all the things so um yeah this was a fun episode right like was this you know i'm
playing around with formats and content ideas and i don't know whenever i tune into other podcasts
and they're playing like tiktoks and shit and they're common commenting on videos and
And I don't know, I like those shows and I like watching, I mean, TikToks, it sounds
like they're not going to sell.
And then I heard this thing that was like, Kevin O'Leary wants to buy TikTok.
Did anyone else hear that?
So I don't, I don't know if I want to like completely change the tone right now, speaking
of playing videos, but I don't think I'll do this to you.
Cause it's like, this is gonna, this is so off brand.
And so like, like I'll be, you'll be like, you'll be sitting there on the other end.
Like she's wasting my time.
Like, what the fuck is this?
Like, I don't care, but maybe you'd be into it.
And these are for my, uh, world of Warcraft and South Park people out there.
Um, I had a random memory last night about the world of Warcraft South Park episode.
And I remember like being a kid, I think I was in like fourth, fifth grade, sixth grade.
like watching this in a hotel room. I don't even know. We were on like a trip.
We were at a motel. We were at a motel six, I think in like Canada.
And I think we convinced our parents, parents to watch South park. It was like at 10 PM. It was
super late. I think we just got done swimming in the swimming pool. All I remember about this motel
six is that this is like a really random memory but um it had like a super nice pool and a water
slide like a tube water slide and i was like okay this is it's like literally a motel six that's
nice didn't make any sense but we watched the world of warcraft star trek or star trek
holy shit south park episode um i was also a star trek kid
I want to re-watch um that's something I definitely want to re-watch at some point
in my life anyways um and I just remember like laughing that was like one of the best belly
laughs ever and um it's because they're all like sitting in a room with their they're all like
super fat and they have acne and they're like you know like Cartman's like screaming for his mom to
like come bring a toilet and then he just like shits at his desk while he's playing world of
warcraft and there's just they're just all like they've just turned to shit because they're so
obsessed with world of warcraft and i don't know just like the you know what fuck it i'll play it
this is a good memory okay we're gonna play this
volume's on up there we go
all right you guys this is it when the attack begins all warriors click on defensive stance
everyone else wait for okay it's not this one it's this one
all right major stone shield potions should be oh god i'm gonna have diarrhea again
it's so like immature but like i love it
Just shitting in a toilet
All over his mom
World of Warcraft I need to play
Our demo was set up right over by the
Got to sign in, character name.
All right, I'm in.
Dude, I'm almost dead.
Kyle, cast Arcane Missiles.
I'm out of mana, I told you.
I've got to heal.
Stan!
Stan, not now!
Stan, I've been sent here to bring you this.
This sword can completely drain his mana.
Dad, how did you get that?
no time just take it okay i'll stop it there because it's gonna get
yeah it's gonna be annoying if i play the whole thing so yeah it's just crazy to look back at my
childhood and like all the stupid shows i would watch and like the games i would play and you
know like xbox games and i had a brother though i feel like when you have a younger brother i mean
he was i don't know we just i feel like we had a really good time playing video video games and
watching stupid cartoons and um that's the one thing i'm like wait a minute we need to revive
this like literally we have an xbox i think he has an xbox one he has like the new whatever the
i don't know what the best xbox is right now but we literally have controllers we literally have
an xbox and i'm like why don't we revive this part of our upbringings when we had when we played
like halo and shit um because cory he he loved halo and that was one of the first things we
bonded over i was like i used to love playing halo again such a bro i'm such a pygmy no um
i guess okay you know what's like fucking
excuse me i don't want to swear
i don't know this is so like i'm in my head it's so like
i'm just in my head and that's why i'm even bringing this up like
Corey and I have been talking about this too because he knows like okay
Thursdays are my podcasting days and they're my glam mornings when I like do my hair and makeup
really nice to get on camera and I'm in this like mental tug of war about because as you know I'm
trying to repair my social media accounts I'm trying to like grow an organic audience and
and I just got a comment the other day it's like it seems like your content's for men not women or
something like that and it's like okay at the end of the day who am I trying to attract I'm trying
to attract an audience that's like like me if that makes sense like I my target is like women
in their late 20s to 30s even like I'll go 20s to 30s like I'll go broader but you know women that
are kind of they're around my age group and they like all their girly stuff they like the hair they
like the makeup they like the clothes they like the you know get ready with me videos they like
shopping they like amazon storefronts and home goods and tj maxx and marshalls and they like
you know tanning and getting their nails done and facials and you know that kind of stuff so
um what i was talking to cory about though and again it's like real like what was the tiktok
earlier it's like real g's move in silence like like lasagna fucking little wayne or whatever
like and i said that could never be me because literally all i do is tell you everything and
share all of my moves and explain explain explain there's like i follow like robert
robert green clips author robert green love his stuff and yeah he was just talking about how
he he posts like clips about um like not over don't over explain don't explain i feel like
here's the thing with my show like this is the format this is what i do but out in public like
when i'm just talking to people like i keep it cool you know what i mean like i'm not an i'm not
a diary of the mouth like except sometimes when you drink who else you finish the night you're
like i can't believe i said that there's so like that's such a girl thing to do like literally the
other night we were watching the Canelo fight and like the final topic we were talking about I was
like how did we get here and also like this is so TMI but like we're bonding and we're having the
best time and I'm not ever gonna think negatively or like weird or whatever about these girls because
we're like we're all the same you know like we're all going like it was one of those things but it
was definitely like we're all over sharing but and we're drinking so um but yeah I definitely
what's the thing we learned gray gray gray walling stone wall gray wall gray rock I definitely gray
rock in like normal conversation just out out in public but um let me get to the whole thing
this is like how I'm ending the show it's like let's reflect on my aesthetic as a podcast host
am I a dirty martini girl or am I a or am I a espresso martini girl so I am just like so
conflicted on like my this is like talk to it it's like talk to a mentor talk to a coach and
and I always go to like stick with what you're good at stick with what feels natural like
because you'll be consistent on it you'll do it and basically what I'm saying is that
if you look where I started I almost want to like splice in a video here of my vibe when I started
the show versus me now it's like clearly there's a glow up there's maturity there's
way fucking darker hair because I used to be bleach blonde like and but what I started with
was very like chill girl vibes like crackhead energy just like wearing a hoodie no makeup
hair in a bun just showing up on the microphone being crazy and now I've transformed into this
like Instagram fucking snatched to the gods you know podcasting chick you know with her shit
together and what I'm saying is that when I'm trying to work okay so when I'm this is like
I'm so overthinking but like why do I feel like it's a it's less abrasive it's like
better for me it would be better if I just went super like no fucks given and like
wore the hoodies and no makeup and just like was chilling with my podcast like
I'm hungover today or like whatever you know that whole that vibe you know or can I do it all should
I also do that and, and also like do myself up nice. Like I don't want to put myself in a box,
but there are some, there's a lot of smoke and mirrors with this business. Like there are,
and like, you know, there's reasons behind everything. Nothing is effort. Nothing is
effortless. Nothing in social media is effortless is, Oh, I just, you know, no, of course not.
And so I don't know. I just feel like I like to, I like doing this. I like getting ready. I like putting on makeup and doing my hair nice and picking out cute outfits and getting on camera. Like I want to, I don't know. It's just like who I am. So, but, but I, I'm like, then I open my mouth and I'm like, does it, does it track? Is it matching? Is the energy? Is it like, for some reason I have this like complex in my head.
again talk to a mentor talk to a therapist like just on the episode but where I'm like I feel like
I don't sound like what I look like if that makes sense like my podcast like tone of voice just like
the the my point of view my my voice because like all I've been doing for the last well the first
year is when I really was like finding my voice um anyways what I'm saying is like I feel like
it doesn't match and it's just all in my head it's all this bullshit in my head I like oh well if you
look this way you have to talk so you have to act this way and it's like this formula right where
I don't feel like I I feel like I don't I I'm not having an identity crisis because like that's not
what I'm talking about I'm talking about like personal branding and how I present myself
you know what I mean so that's why I put my tits away today because
like that kind of stuff like I'm like I do I have to be more conservative do I have to be
like, should I, you know, cause again, this is a business. This is what I'm doing for my
full-time career. My, this is my retirement plan. I have to take it seriously now. Okay. I'm
unemployed again. Don't tell people your moves speak, move in silence. Don't overshare. Don't
say everything you're planning on doing, but these are things everyone thinks about. And I'm just
trying to bring you into the conversation a little behind the scenes of making content and what goes
through my mind because you know I know I'm not alone in any of this and um but yeah like
it's not stupid I'm like should I be like messy girl or girl with her shit together
and like what would sell better you know so um the truth is I feel like this what I'm doing now
is exactly what I it's like in line with I'm not putting on a persona I guess is what I'm
trying to say I'm never putting on a persona I'm just talking about like do I do my hair
and makeup or do I say fuck it and show up in a hoodie with you know sunglasses on and not care
what's the vibe you know or holy shit who cares just post the episode and that's the tip of the
day the tip of the day is to be consistent just be consistent never miss never stop um because
I was thinking about it and like the reason why I'm so positive right now about this chapter of
my life of leaving the corporate world and pursuing my dream is that
dude I've been doing this like it would be different if I told Corey like
yeah I want to start up like like if I didn't have anything going on like oh I lose my corporate job
and then I'm like yeah I want to start a podcast and do that full-time and like start record my
first episode next week it's like bitch you've been doing this like I have and not some there's
something about that and that's like the other tip is like it feels so good and I always talk
about like what feels good and what makes you feel accomplished in life and what makes you feel
fulfilled and like you're you're living a rich like juicy full amazing life and I'm just saying
that if you're like me if anything I'm saying resonates and I'm assuming if you're listening
there's a piece of me that you know reminds you of yourself in me or whatever like building
something over time and seeing the growth is like so good for the soul if you're like me like
it's so essential so um can't recommend it enough even if it's something little even if it's a
little project or a little hobby and and you just you you like baby it over time even if you're
making little like little steps it's just that feeling of like I'm that's probably why I love
watching my plants grow like it's satisfying it's sad us human beings we love we love uh
progress we love improving we love growing and learning and
all right Tom Brady got roasted Kim K wore a sweater at the Met Gala
you know we got uh
my anniversary coming up going to luke combs
uh cory's not only a provider but a protect your man we found out
um oh yeah there's also the two bears 5k run two bears 5k run a couple days ago that looked cool
I didn't really like I just saw pictures of but that it looked like it was successful like they
had that plan to do it and it all worked out um I guess Travis Barker was there which is like I
don't know the relationship but excuse me I think everyone thought Rogan was going or like they all
wanted him to go or I don't know I don't know if you was he there like I feel like I would have
seen pictures it was like jelly roll and his wife and travis barker and like a bunch of other
comedians and the guy from barstool um kfc which i again such a bro it is what it is i don't care i
own it i'm like here's the thing i am i'm a tomboy like i am like i'm very i'm rugged like that like
i just that's how i grew up and that is something that is coming out like the longer i'm with cory
the more I realized like how rugged my childhood was like, damn, like I'm just
growing up in farmland is like a whole thing. Right. And you're just like,
yeah. But anyways, I was listening to the reason I'm saying like, Oh, I'm such a bro.
I was listening to, um, the KFC. Uh, I don't even know what his name is. Kevin.
I don't know. Um, Kevin, right. I don't know. Uh, the two bears, one cave episode with him. I don't
know I just like love that episode like it was a good episode um do I have any other podcast
requests for you besides mine what am I listening to right now just a lot of h3 and the toast and
your mom's house and the I do like I don't know like people are like oh he's controversial or
whatever I get like dms like don't listen to him he's a piece of shit the pbd podcast
um oh I've been listening to a lot of Lex too because he's doing really he has a lot of amazing
interviews on Israel and Palestine and that whole conflict so it's um he's a good listen
not listening to a lot of Rogan right now oh obviously Tim Dillon because this is what I was
telling Corey because Tim had me fucking off my chair I think I was in the shower like I was
cleaning the shower and Tim Dillon was talking about door dashers getting shot by these boomers
like get off my property or whatever and in his latest episode and I was like dying laughing and
I was telling Corey because I made him listen to it in the car that segment and then we listened
to the segment with um what's the other part of that episode that's good that was just a funny
fucking episode and I was telling Corey I'm like because he's asked me like what podcast do you
like listening to and whatnot and he knows I like Tim Dillon and I'm sure if you're listening you
loved him like who doesn't like him like I can't imagine someone being like fuck that guy but um
I was telling Corey I was like the thing is about Tim Dillon is that every single episode
is a 10 out of 10 and you, and this is just my opinion as a listener, every single episode is
a 10 out of 10. And you always know that you're going to be entertained and you're going to learn
something. And it's like, he's very insightful, right? Like you're, he's very smart and intelligent
and he like has, you know, really interesting and funny perspectives about hot button issues and
news events and the culture and like everything so yeah it's just amazing how literally every time
I get so excited when I see his new episodes I'm like I know this is gonna be fun I know as soon
as I press play it's gonna be a good time and um when he gets on his like he does his does his
monologues at the end some of them are so fucking funny and that one had me dying about the door
dashers and that horrible that story of the woman getting shot I don't know if you guys know this
I'm not ending the episode um yeah the woman she was like 61 and he told just go listen to
Tim Dillon's episode I'll just plug him go listen to his latest podcast because yeah he tells a
story about how this like boomer man this 80 year old man shot and killed an uber driver who was
delivering something to his house yeah it was an awful story but he made it funny as fuck
all right that's it that's it that's the episode and you know what I decided this this is why I
decided everyone's like just cut it down to an hour just do an hour show like that's just just
make it simple like just do an hour I don't know that life I don't know what it's like to cut
myself off or or to run out of things to talk about in an hour like I just personally don't I
can't relate to that as a podcast host so what I decided is that this is a weekly show and I want
to give you a show I want you to be here for more than an hour and I want to like if it's only coming
out once a week like I want it to be a good time and a long time is that a is that a country song
I'm not here for a long time here for a good time only once of course call me again
I'm just ending the episode wow okay wow that's a record all right
are you making fun of me no no i mean that's definitely over a two-hour episode i was just
talking about how i i don't i can't relate to people that only post an hour because i just
have too much to say just not who i am that's good your viewers are just itching every week
every week so keep going are you driving i'm driving yeah i just left lunch and
heading back to the office don't forget my hoodie
and uh the hoodies hoodies they're cooking as the cook of the day yay um
no i was just talking about honey can you can you mentor me right now
i've been trying for the last two years you don't listen no but i was talking about like who i don't
know if i should ask your opinion because like you're my fiance of course exactly that's what
i'm talking about here we go i was just talking about how like my personal i was talking about
personal branding and how like how i should present myself moving forward and should i just
stay i don't know should i switch it up and be a chill girl in a hoodie with acne and no makeup
with like a hangover or like should i stay see i knew you're gonna say no no but do you think that
bleeds over to your personal life just stay hot look hot and then you'll feel it and it'll attract
even better things if you act like and look like a schlub you're gonna get schlubby people that
want to know yeah but those are my people though like i like when i watch podcasts that they're
schlubby i like feel it's like comforting because because you're like you have a leg up on the
others because you're a hot chick so but 90 but 99 okay no 100 no i think that's a bad idea
nine honey you and i both know that 99.9 of the time i'm schlubbing it around this house
so am i putting on a persona that's not really me
i mean i dress up probably like once a month to go out and look nice
yeah yeah okay anyways okay so it's like a done on camera on camera you put your
you always dress for the job you want not the job you have okay so come on
pictures you want you want the big brand deals you want this now you got to do more when you're
at your house on your podcast than the schlubby hey i'm the no i i wouldn't i me with if i had
funds and i wanted i wouldn't want that as who's branding my stuff yeah with someone that's hot
puts their best foot forward that's articulate smart and hot not some schlub in a hoodie all
the time that's me being real no that makes sense I actually agree with that and I don't
think it's reflective of this time in my life because I would say this time in my life I have
my shit together versus when you're given this opportunity to do what you want to do you got
to do a hundred percent look hot and be hot and no schlubbiness because I mean you're spoken like
a true man you you're like you're not taking it serious so I am taking it serious I'm trying to
track here's the thing i'm trying to track the ladies not the guys ladies like hot men like hot
it's true my whole fyp my whole entire instagram discovery page why would someone ask you about
other things if you look like a schlub with a hoodie with makeup and all they're going to be
like you're going to load track gamers i just talked about world of warcraft yeah i'm basically
gamer girl but my true like self yeah okay that's a good that's a good that's a good point i like
what you said about dress for the job you want not the job you have yeah i think jody would agree
jody shout out to you she's listening she'd get it mama bear would get it she would okay all right
well all right thanks for the that's my jedi that's my jedi thought so yeah and i do like
usually am I right or am I wrong you're always right and there you go no um what was I gonna
say the quickest way to a to b is a straight line okay you just follow the line I do like doing my
makeup and my hair like yeah you look great for the show great and people want to look at that
they don't want to look at uh you know I'm gonna splice I'm gonna splice in where I started like
how i looked when i first started and i make a clip of it because it's really crazy like i was
not in a good place when i looked okay well yeah well that's the old years you feel like you need
to do that no just for the visual like just to like give them context if they aren't familiar
so okay yeah all right i don't know it's just okay what no i'm sorry i gotta go this is like
the longest episode I've ever recorded yeah okay all right I'll talk to you later all right bye
viewers goodbye love you bye love you bye this is so like um reminiscent or not reminiscent or
like everything about this dumb conversation in my head about like well how should I dress what
should I look like is so like part it's so core to like my journey in my 20s of like discovering
or like finding or like understanding my worth and finding my or like accepting myself and loving
myself and being true to myself like all these things it's like my whole 20s has been this big
like tornado of me like like seeing myself in a positive way and like loving that and not being
like oh I should change and I'm not saying I should change I'm just talking about personal
branding and and making the bucks you know I will end excuse me oh my god I will end with this
he did say it best dress for for the job you want not the job you have and I do
happen to have a brand deal in the works um with a clean skincare line so we met the other day and
the call went well and um I think yeah clearly yeah that's a good fit for for for me and my
brand and my audience like I think um if I was schlubbing it like he said it just it's not
appealing to to people so I don't know it's weird I almost feel like a piece of me deep down is
like I feel okay this is fucked up this is this is not the end of the episode I almost feel
gross not gross what's the word like believe me when I do myself up when I put a bunch of
makeup on when I do my hair and I dress hot like Corey was saying or dress nice classy elegant
whatever like I feel amazing I look in the mirror and I go you are beautiful you are amazing you
look great wow you got it going on I'm doing I'm feeling myself right and I don't know how I got
this way and I don't know who planted these seeds in my mind or if this is old stuff that I used to
think about myself coming back in but sometimes I feel like gross like I shouldn't not not like
dirty like like almost like um like I
like I don't want anyone to see me and be like oh she's beautiful like I don't want to be it's
almost like I don't want anyone to give I don't know what it is it's like you don't want you're
like it's just like too much attention or like it's too much of the wrong attention you don't
really like I don't get me wrong compliments and attention they're great it's like fucking well
it's like why people do social media to begin with hi hi i'm an attention hi my name is jacqueline
i'm a podcast host and i'm an attention whore what's up hi no but i'm saying like
you get kind of like you get comments and you get like and then you feel bad oh my god that's
what it is sometimes I feel bad when I look nice like I feel I just almost sometimes I don't want
I want to just be plain Jane no makeup no hair nothing just like real simple and I just don't
want any attention I guess that's what it is because if I go too hard with it I know the
harder I go the hotter I look the better I do my makeup the nicer I do my hair the better my outfit
is like sometimes I'm just like I don't want the attention it doesn't make any sense so
it's weird I just feel like I feel bad sometimes I'm like
like I feel okay I really want to break this down I haven't actually thought about this in a second
it's almost like I feel shamed or not shamed. Like I, um, I dunno, I think maybe I've been
around people that make me feel this way when I look nice, where they beat me down and they
make me feel like, or they like make a thing of it. And it's all, it's always like emphasis,
like how I look is always the center of the conversation and like what they're it's so like
me focused where I'm like I just put on like like the thing is is like I this is like so
first world problems like pretty privilege point of privilege pretty privilege I got pretty
privilege people always say I got pretty privilege on TikTok now that's a thing it's like I don't
know it's exhausting it's like you can't like you it's just like the attention is off it's like
you're kind of it's almost like they're judging you but they're not I don't know they're like
you look great but like I don't know
is it jealousy
because I never will do that to someone else I will never make them feel weird for looking hot
or pretty or nice or like overly dressed that's what it always is it's like if you're overly
dressed you get the comments right like I would never do that to someone else so whenever someone
does it to me I'm like you're telling on yourself that's what it is that's like the TikTok that'll
be the what do you call that in comedy that's the uh callback or to the thing you said earlier
and now you're making it full circle yeah it's like there's something they're projecting or
whatever like something there they feel insecure about they see in you and then they or I don't
know but okay that's it that's the episode thank you so much for hanging out thanks for being here
