Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up, guys? It's episode 385. Welcome back to the show. I don't ever slow up. No, I don't take shit. I got no love for the fakeness. If you want to play tough and want to hate this, I'll always show up and make a statement. I don't ever slow up. No, I don't take shit. I got no love for the fakeness. If you want to play tough and want to hate this, I'll always show up and make a statement. It has been Halloween and the week before the election for five years now. we've been stuck we've been suspended in time we're being punished by being held captive in the most anxious time period that has ever happened in the history of the world not only
Starting point is 00:00:41 do we have to decide the future of democracy in seven days you also have to pick out a costume you have to wear in front of all your friends again this is the fourth or fifth for some people yes the election of course is stressful of course but i still need pants for my girl scout cookie outfit I voted but will I ever see the results will it ever be trick-or-treat time I need it to be next week November I need it to be countdown to Thanksgiving I need answers I need to not be in costume and I need the woman who accidentally invited the wrong person Thanksgiving and he actually showed up to start being active online because that signals that we are past this moment in time. Finally. Happy November 1st. We made it. Now, I feel like if you're a listener
Starting point is 00:01:33 of this show, you probably have something in common with me. There's probably something you relate to. Um, so I'm assuming that if you're like me, November 1st is day one of the Christmas season it's officially holiday holiday decor time Christmas tree time silver bells it's officially Christmas music time um so yeah I'm not doing well we're gonna start this episode off with an update a life update that I cannot believe I'm admitting to or not even admitting to just like I can't believe like I feel like this is so off brand for me to to mention or to get into but I I'm not doing well because I just drank an ozempic like drink I am I guess there's a thing out there now I know there's a thing out there now because I just took it there's like a drinkable
Starting point is 00:02:36 Ozempic version of Ozempic it supports or adds it increases GLP-1 in your body and a brand reached out to me Modare the brand that I've promoted on this show before they reached out to me to try their new Ozempic like drinkable GLP-1 product and the reason why I feel like this is off-brand is because like I I like obviously I'm gonna be a hater like I'm gonna hate on that if I heard someone say that if I heard someone's like yeah it's a supplement you can just drink and it's like ozempic I'd be like fuck off you know like that is so to me it's like I feel like I'd be like oh yeah that shit doesn't work like that's a bunch of that's just a gimmick it's a gimmick because ozempic's the biggest word in the dictionary or it's like the biggest buzz
Starting point is 00:03:26 word right now so I'm sure a million brands a million a million fitness and health brands are going to come out with that kind of marketing and branding for their appetite suppressant products because that's really what it is right like ozempic curbs your appetite so anyways I took it this morning and I feel so weird I I I was like I was in disbelief I was in I think I'm in shock I'm like so I'm not a person I have a great show for you by the way we'll get into it I'm gonna recap Halloween gonna get into what I've been up to but um yeah I am not like try I'm not like I'm not like a ozempic candidate I I'm not gonna be I'm not I don't have diabetes I'm not obese but I feel like whatever this sensation is I'm feeling in my body right now I'd have to guess
Starting point is 00:04:19 is pretty identical to what people who inject Ozempic, Ozempic, Wagovi, whatever. I feel like it's the same effect. The satiety, like the, your mind isn't thinking about food. You're literally not fucking, you're physically not hungry. And I don't know if I like it. I feel weird. I'm not trying to be dramatic or anything. I know like that's, it's very, that is on brand for me to be dramatic but I'm kind of in shock that it worked and I feel like it's the perfect product it's literally like a hydration multiplier that what is that yeah it's like a liquid IV it's like a powder you dump in your water you stir up and then you drink it and then 30 minutes later you're supposed to eat like if you're gonna do it you do it 30 minutes or if you're gonna drink it you
Starting point is 00:05:09 drink it 30 minutes before you eat. And that's when it like goes into full effect. And yeah, I feel like it's like the perfect supplement for people who maybe you're trying to lose a few pounds. Maybe you're trying to maintain your weight and you're just trying to like keep it tight overall, you know? Um, I don't think it's going to give you extreme results, but I'm looking at these, I was literally like, okay, what is this bunch of BS or is this legit? There's like clinical research behind it on the modare website and like people over the course of 90 days participants self-reported they lost an average of nine percent of their body weight um and they have other products there's like this it's
Starting point is 00:05:52 what is that like i just wanted to mention this because i'm actually i'm actually gonna give i'm gonna give it a full review in a month here after i take every single packet um but I'm in shock because I feel like you you might be if you're like me if you're like me again there's probably something you relate to on the show but maybe you've been ozempic curious maybe you've been GLP-1 medication curious and you're like but I'm fit or I'm not really I'm not overweight or I don't have I but you're like wouldn't that be nice you know if I could just like have a little here and there to keep my weight down and to keep, you know, just to make things easier for yourself. Cause if you're also like me, you probably work out a lot and you
Starting point is 00:06:41 probably care about your body and you probably care about your, you know, your health and fitness and just aesthetic stuff. You know, um, it's important to you care about looking good and feeling good. So again, I think this is like the perfect product for just your everyday people that don't need a lot of heavy lifting with the weight loss. Um, but it's a weird feeling. I have never, I've never taken an appetite suppressant before, but I'm sure, um, if you've taken that or if you've taken something like that, it's probably similar. The effect, it's like a, I almost feel high. I'm like, is this what it feels like when you're on meth? Like you're just not hungry or like what drugs just like destroy a coke like I don't know like what um yeah so it's it's weird
Starting point is 00:07:29 I'm high on GLP-1 uh what's it called it's called curb the packaging this this is the thing whenever the packaging is this cute I'm I'm skeptical you know it's like so cute the packaging is colorful It's, it's cute. They have lowercase fonts all over the bottles and the boxes and it's like baby blue and peach and it's really like well packaged and put together. So, um, yeah, I just wanted to like give you a little update that I'm drinking GLP one and it's, it's out there. So I'm going to give it a try I'm gonna give it a full review in like a month and I'll let you know my results I guess I will have to track my weight like does it if I lose weight or not I guess that's the whole point but um yeah I'm gonna play this video here from the Modare expert scientist I don't know
Starting point is 00:08:29 doesn't have her name or her credentials next to her here but here's a two minute video about what curb is what i just drank like what this what this sorcery is okay here are you looking for a way to support natural glp-1 meet modare curb curb is the anchor of the modare body transformation line we recommend you use all five products in the complete transformation collection for optimal healthy weight management But CURB is where you'll find support for GLP-1, blood sugar levels already within normal range, and acromantia bacteria, which may be associated with lean body metabolism. CURB delivers these benefits thanks to two science-backed blends, the Cetide GLP Support and Metabiome Prebiotic Technology blend. satiety glp support is comprised of high potency citrus flavonoids and glucomannan from konjac
Starting point is 00:09:28 fruit which collectively support glp1 blood glucose okay you get it this was like i swear like this entire first i just did an ad for modera by the like that was literally just a real time or that was a that was an ad basically um they are i think they're gonna give me a code in a couple weeks so I'll be able to hook you up if you're curious um I think it's $70 for a pack of 30 I think it's maybe it's less than that um it's it's not cheap it's not like $25 you know here let me find it no dare I don't know I'm just gonna guess I think it's 70 where's their shopping part you guys I am on this like where's my sorry I'm kind of on a okay now I'm okay I'm drinking the GLP-1 um I'm kind of on this not a health kick but I'm on this
Starting point is 00:10:33 little pathway right now to figure out what's going on in my body I'm trying to like improve my overall well-being I've got a lot of doctor's appointments this month blood tests blood work I did a biome test again if you know you know um it's where you drop trowel and scoop it up and throw it and um send it off in the mail to a lab and it tells you like what if you have inflammation what foods you should eat what foods you should avoid it tells you like how your gut bacteria is doing and then I did the one I did the full body test where I did saliva and blood and let me tell you I have never like I was in my bathroom because you have to do it when you wake up the blood test I had to oh my god I had to prick my finger and with one of those little puncture
Starting point is 00:11:31 things you get at the doctor sometimes and I had to draw so much fucking blood I was in shock I was like I cannot believe this is what the requirement is like I and I couldn't get enough blood to come out so I kept poking myself and I'm just like in my bathroom Corey's asleep it's like six in the morning and I've got like I found a tape measure I was like wrapping my finger like a turn like is like with a tourniquet trying to squirt as much blood out as I possibly could so I could send it in um because you have to do it it's like there's a time limit on all this stuff and there's just like blood everywhere needles vials it was a lot but yeah so I'm doing that and just in general I'm trying to eat more nutrient-dense foods and give a shit a little
Starting point is 00:12:16 more about my like the ingredients you know I think after the wedding I have talked about it I think my first episode back after the wedding I was like look I just went on this health kick for a few months and I was I was working out like crazy and I was super fit and then the month after the wedding I just like I threw in the towel right like I was just like oh I'm just gonna enjoy myself and then now I'm just like I don't feel I just I'm like I'm over it you know so I'm dialing it back in and I I do this once a year I would say I when I book all of my doctor's appointments and all my checkups at the same time and I just knock everything out at once and so that's kind of what's going on right now um and I have a surgery coming up and I think
Starting point is 00:12:56 that's relating to why I'm doing all this because I want to make sure that I'm good and I'm my blood's good my blood work my all my levels are good um so I think subconsciously like that's why I'm really you know I'm really I'm really like giving a shit right now which it's good to do in general like you should care about your health like obviously but um I think when you're sedated and you're going under like there's so many I just it freaks me out a little bit so I just want to make sure that I'm all good and anyways let's get into the show now I do have a great show for you today and before I get into it please hit that subscribe button wherever you're listening right now I'm on Apple Spotify Google Podcast Stitcher Breaker Overcast wherever you listen to podcasts
Starting point is 00:13:35 please hit that subscribe button and review the show five stars while you're there this is a audio podcast today because honestly everything is fucked everything in my studio decided to just fail today and I was like eff it I'm gonna record anyway so this is an audio only podcast but today today but typically you can watch me over on Spotify and YouTube so make sure you subscribe to my YouTube channel and then follow me on TikTok at Jacqueline Monroe and Instagram at Jacqueline Monroe. And yeah, that's it. I hope you had a great Halloween. Let me recap mine. Let's get into that because we moved into this house in what was it? February. And I knew our neighborhood was great. That's why we moved here. Our neighborhood is like unbelievable. And I was like, we pinch
Starting point is 00:14:29 ourselves every day, how amazing our neighborhood neighborhood is. But I didn't understand that our neighborhood is like the premier like the top tier neighborhood to go to for Halloween to trick-or-treat our neighbors like we were in shock I our neighbors are warning us they're like oh just get ready do you have enough candy they're like just wait like it's gonna be nuts and make sure you get a parking spot and we obviously saw our neighbors over the last month or so setting up you know and there's a lot of there's a lot there's a lot of decor you know there's a lot of stuff popping up every day it was like you know you could really see who was into scary halloween who was into cute halloween at night you know i noticed okay like as the month went on
Starting point is 00:15:15 the there was more and more and more and like over the last week i was like holy shit this looks like fucking disneyland around here and last night we were just again in shock we're like oh my god there was there was probably i think in our neighborhood we probably had 3 000 people 3 000 trick-or-treaters walking around like a full-on halloween fest like the streets weren't like fully shut down but like no cars were driving through that you know like they knew like this is not where you want to drive tonight um it was amazing the trick-or-treaters were so cute my favorite costume was a decapitated cow um no that was not my favorite that was that was the creepiest like someone fully had it was like out of a saw movie there was like fake blood
Starting point is 00:16:06 and they were like it was it was probably a high school kid like he was a bit he looked like a big like football player type high school kid walking around with a cow mask thing on that was extremely like I don't know how the kids slept last night when they saw that um but I think no my favorite it was all the little like two to three year olds all the little mini dinosaurs were my favorite and then this one kid was so cute he was a little Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc and he was so sweet and it's so cute how the kids like even though they're so young like they know they know to go up to the little candy dish and pick out the candy and they're so polite and they're so shy and Corey and I set up we had like this barrel of candy and now I will say that we killed it in the candy
Starting point is 00:16:55 like that we killed it when it comes to the candy choices for our trick-or-treaters because I was looking around at our neighbors and I'm like what the fuck are these Tootsie Pops what are these Smarties what are these like suckers what's happening like no the kids don't want that shit they want Reese's Snickers Kit Kats Rolos Twix I feel like I'm missing a really important one like m&ms um so we did all the best chocolate candies and i did get a comment and made my night this girl was like oh you guys are the good house well we let him take two and they were all like the best chocolate halloween candies i did that on purpose because i put myself in the shoes of a trick-or-treater like when i was a kid i would just roll like if i saw a toasty pop i was like
Starting point is 00:17:44 or like milk duds. They're okay. Milk duds are fine, but like, I'm not a Jolly Rancher girl. You know, I'm not a Welch's fruit snack Halloween, like the Welch's fruit snacks. I was seeing like, I get it. You know, you're trying to keep it healthy out here. I don't know how healthy those really are, but, um, the kids don't want that shit. So, um, anyways, we got that little comment I was like okay but next year I'm like okay now that I know that Halloween on our block is the shit um I'm kind of like okay we gotta go all out next year and maybe I'll upgrade to full size candy bars and maybe we'll be that house I told Corey I said I want to be the creepiest scariest fucking house in the neighborhood and I decided like I like cute Halloween but I was
Starting point is 00:18:31 looking around at our neighbors and what they were doing and I was like it's kind of a vibe to have like the scariest looking shit so I want to project like purple and orange lights around our house and I don't know have a bunch of like creepy like zombie ghost things and witches and I don't know so we our setup was like literal we had like a little sign that was like welcome home I put that for fall and it's like orange and yellow and then I have like pumpkins and a couple little gnomes you know it's like so boring but um I actually wore so something that was kind of fun is I wore Cory's childhood uh childhood costume he he's had for like 30 years because I guess when he grew up he didn't like Halloween that much and he wasn't really into the costumes so his mom made
Starting point is 00:19:25 him this ghost mask thing that he could just throw over himself and it wasn't a big production to get ready so um I wore that last night it was kind of fun to see the kids reactions and the kids are into it like I thought it was too scary but if you see when you see their faces they're like they're kind of like oh this is creepy but they kind of smile at the same time they're like oh you know like the little little kids I was worried about but um we did have some punk ass kids at the end on razor scooters come by that were begging us or yeah they're they're like you know we probably had 25 little pieces of candy left we were down to the rhesus the just the individual cups we had those left and the this kid he's probably 12 he's like yeah like the
Starting point is 00:20:12 neighbors like when they get this low they just dump it all in our bags and we're like you can take two and he like scooted away and like hopped the curb and it was funny just to see like and then then there were like the high school girls that were like clearly trying to hold up you know and it's like you're 13 you're not 23 but that was a little interesting a lot of like angels and devils and skimpy outfits and you know I'm trying to think if I ever in high school like what what did I dress up as I think I stopped trick-or-treating when I was in like I think when I was a freshman that was my last year of trick-or-treating it was kind of like okay I'm too old for this now and it wasn't fun and um but yeah that was our Halloween what else did we do after we ran out of candy we
Starting point is 00:21:04 just like walked around and saw all the houses and all the decorations and at one point there was there is a scare the scarecrow from the wizard of oz on stilts walking around i'm like did someone hire that or is that just someone showing up for entertainment for the kids because that was really cool um yeah it was super sweet i don't know i just it gave me it was putting me in my feels because i'm like this is just such a great community that i live in and i feel so blessed and lucky that it's literally in my back it's my backyard you know like this is my my neighborhood and these are the people like our neighbors like it made me like my neighbors more I was like yes they they get it you know they they're down to have fun and put on a show for the kids and I
Starting point is 00:21:55 loved when we'd walk by um like older couples that would dress up you know they've lived here for a long time and they got all dressed up and um they were kind of like in character and it was really sweet so um that was our Halloween and oh my god I'm looking at my notes here guys you know how I got that robot um the Roomba and this has happened to me before with my other one I had back in the day wasn't as nice but I had a Roomba like floor vacuum thing um I got it like four years ago but anyways long story short our new Roomba our new robot that I've mentioned a few times well who made the oopsie Louie made the oopsie and the robot did not detect the oopsie because apparently this robot I was excited about it because I guess it has
Starting point is 00:22:52 a technology or an ability to detect dog shit on the carpet and it failed okay the robot failed and what did I do for an hour yesterday morning because Corey's like I gotta go to work and I'm like I mean so do I but like fuck it I'll take care of it and I just went into like survival mode cleaning up dog shit from the inside of our Roomba and it's it the grooves and the wheels like it was so complicated to get every little thing out and i was just holding my breath the whole time i had so much like disinfectant shit around me and like little brushes i've thrown away like little mini cleaning brushes to get into all the grooves it was a mess it was a fucking mess and it had a bunch of i i'm like did we
Starting point is 00:23:44 because he hasn't had louie used to have a lot more accidents louie our english bulldog he used to have a lot of accidents when he was a puppy right but now he's grown out of it and i'd say it's like maybe once every maybe since we've moved here it's been a maybe a lot more than four times maybe like five or six times he's had an accident and it's only if we leave for the gym and we didn't let him out the night before which is awful like if we forgot you know it does happen we're not we're trying to you know be perfect as dog parents but like it's sometimes you forget or anyways so he he made an oopsie and that's how I spent my morning yesterday and it was hell but um I'm always talking about just fecal shit on here I don't know why nasty stuff um what's coming
Starting point is 00:24:38 up what's happening the election's happening I was reading literally I spent long I mean I I'm glad I spent the time I spent probably an hour reading the policies like the differences in the policies between Kamala and Trump I was like deep diving on it was on Reuters I believe yeah they had this like info infographic where where Harris and Trump stand on key issues and I was going through foreign policy race immigration education fucking abortion climate like every single topic i was reading about their policies because i feel like a lot of people though and i'll admit because i'll admit that i'm one of them um and i think you vote on vibes you know a lot of people just vote on the vibes and that's not that's not good we need to vote based on their policies right and
Starting point is 00:25:44 like how many have you personally like I I don't know like I feel like most people are I'm speaking out of my ass but you probably don't know their policies like the back of your hand you know and I I read it all I didn't retain I retained a little bit of it but um you know it's good to know what you're voting for um but it's a crazy how many days away are we it's on Tuesday so yeah that's what I did yesterday I was I'm gonna be honest speaking of getting my health wellness in check um and Corey keeps mentioning it and I'm like damn am I is this like real or am I just is this all in my head or am I reading too much into it but I had the hardest time
Starting point is 00:26:39 working yesterday and I feel so my brain is so discombobulated sometimes and so unfocused and like I said I was I literally was down the rabbit hole reading all of these articles and just randomly researching things and writing notes for this show today right like I literally was like and then I looked at it after I was done I was like what is this this is not a cohesive episode like I cannot I'm not going to just like randomly talk about this stuff um tomorrow like I was like what am I doing and I spent all this time on it and then this is all relating to my brain right like I feel like and Corey keeps saying like we'll be talking and I'll just change subjects super fast or I'll just be like all over the place when I'm talking and he's like okay that
Starting point is 00:27:33 was a little ADD of you you know like I don't know so I'm going to see my doctor in a couple weeks and I'm gonna be like super honest with her I'm like look I have my strengths and I have my weaknesses I don't think I'm fully and I've talked about this on the show before I don't think I'm fully like my life is not like I'm it's it doesn't ruin my life this ADD ADHD thing I potentially have but on days like yesterday and I know maybe I just had a bad day an unfocused day I was kind of I wasn't organized enough before I got into my work but it's just amazing how scattered I feel and and dysregulated the I'm learning about like what dysregulation feels like and it's almost like you go numb you're just like I don't know how to move forward
Starting point is 00:28:23 my brain is going 100 miles an hour but I'm stuck you know so that's what I'm going to talk to my doctor about whatever that is and I don't want to like the thing is is like I'm already medicated okay I'm already on Prozac we all know this but I don't really want to like keep taking I don't want to take like what what is it like people get on like Vyvanse just annoying because you try your best right and then you feel like you fall short and you're not making I think successful people like uber successful people are really good and this is what I'm hard on myself about they're really good about execution time like executing on the task on the thing they want to do from the time the distance between the time they think about it to the time they
Starting point is 00:29:11 actually do it is short. They don't marinate. They don't procrastinate. They don't put things off. They just, it's like, Hey, you know, they'll meet someone and that person reaches out to them like, Hey, let's set up a meeting next week. Then you just pick up the phone and call them that kind of shit. Those are like the killers in business, right? Like those are the people that are psychotic about like execution and getting shit done and achieving their goals and building companies. And you know, I'm just not wired that way. And I, and I feel like it's a habit it's a skill you kind of have to if you're not wired that way you have to like really work on and really yeah I'm aware of it so I think just being aware of it it makes me want to do better
Starting point is 00:29:51 but some days like yesterday I was like that was a fucking wash and what did I do I went and bought more Halloween candy and I came home and I decorated a little more and I got groceries and made it cute when everyone showed up like it was you know what did I default to stay at home wife bitch like that's my that's my bread and butter that's my bread and butter and it's tough because I'm so that's what I'm those like I have my strengths right I'm so good at that like I'm so good I feel like jobs that are really active like when I worked in a coffee shop when I worked at a restaurant like when I even when I was an executive assistant I was like running errands all day I was running around town I was grocery shopping I was
Starting point is 00:30:34 doing returns I was just constantly on the move like I think it's because I need a lot of stimulation and so when I work it's so dry to me sometimes like when I and I love my work I love editing I love podcasting I love doing all the social media stuff but there's an element to it that's so like stationary and dry and I feel like anyways I gotta fucking figure it out like we're all trying to do our best I don't know I am I think I am too hard on myself I think I my expectations are through the roof and it's like dude for what like you're just you're doing just fine just take it one day at a time and some days are bad days and that's okay and but it's just annoying when some days or some weeks go by and I'm like what did I do this week you know so
Starting point is 00:31:23 anyways i should i read this article facts on kamala harris things you don't know about kamala i'm on this reddit thread speaking of adhd changing the subject really fast i'm on this reddit thread called adhd women and it's just really interesting because i feel like it validates a lot of how i've been feeling like but some people describe it like they can only do like one task in a day before they have to take a nap you know they're just like they can their house is a mess their life is a mess and they're always tired and I don't feel like I'm that extreme but um anyways have you guys seen this woman who is she's she's on tiktok and it's like she's blown up right now she has like seven
Starting point is 00:32:20 kids or they're called like the resilient jenkins they have like seven kids in a one-bedroom apartment and i think she's pregnant or she just had another one it's so it's like not um let me just like play one of her videos welcome back to another evening with the resilient jenkins tiktok's current favorite family to hate on it's giving sunday vibes i started off by making dinner which i just posted a full dinner recipe video while dinner was cooking i got the kids area all straightened up vacuum with my handy dandy hose and i take this rug outside and shake it off almost every day the girls wanted to see if dad could do the pennywise dance definitely made their night look at their faces i don't know where my man gets his energy sometimes but i'm ever so
Starting point is 00:33:06 grateful he has it for our children then drew took a second to take a look at a bump that's been bothering one of our daughters on her heel i made my three older kids their plate and then i broke some chicken up for my toddler who ended up not even being interested generally he has a good appetite but he's eating a lot throughout the day and he just kind of wasn't feeling it my older son asked me if i could trim up his hair i say right now when it's come to my older son i will always respect the wishes of him and his father when it comes to his hair i ask my son every couple of months if he's ready to grow his hair out or if he still wants another trim just keep saying he's not quite ready to grow it out in fact this time he told me maybe i'll switch it up when i'm 12
Starting point is 00:33:35 I always like to make sure my kids get showers on Sunday night so they have a nice fresh start for Monday. Now I don't know if this was fairly obvious, but not only do we have one bedroom, we also have one bathroom. So when it comes to shower time, we have to time it out right so everybody gets a chance to go. My daughter's curls were popping today, so I didn't do braids in her hair. I just went ahead and set her curls for the morning and then braided my older daughter's hair. After everybody was through brushing their teeth, we did some reading and our nightly prayers. Is this even legal? Like, it's so bad.
Starting point is 00:34:01 I mean in the grand scheme of things there are a lot of other parts of the world where you know they're living luxurious I guess if you want to compare it to something way worse but I'm sorry like one shower a week a shower on Sunday that's all they get you know this really makes me like when I see content like this or just like mommy content in general where they're showing off their kids all the time I'm like it makes me wonder how many and I don't want to know this number because it disgusts me like how many people have kids because for content like I'm gonna have this kid as an accessory for my content and I'm gonna make money off of being a mommy with kids and showing mommy life like that's going to be my career that's how I'm going to make my my living like I have so I've been considering like when we have kids I've had I'm when I say this like I'm pretty this might sound super hardcore or like overkill but and I think it's because I put myself on the internet like I put my life
Starting point is 00:35:16 out there I have my podcast I share content all over social media like for some reason I'm like I have this gut feeling thing where I'm like I almost never want to show not never but I I don't want to put my kids online like at all like I don't want to share I don't want to I never want it to be like oh I made this content with my kids or I never want to like make mommy content like I don't want to do like hey here's my kid and this is what we're doing like I don't know why it just feels icky because what's the why behind that you know because why do we make content why do we put ourselves on the internet why do we do this tiktok shit why do we you know I there's a underlying you know oh this is how I'm gonna make a living someday or maybe
Starting point is 00:36:12 that's how you make your living you know there's a goal it's a monetary goal there's always a dollar sign attached to it yeah it's for fun sure but like nowadays it's a way it's an actual way to make make a living so I just feel like it's gross I'm not really I'm not into family bloggers and people that just show their kid upside down inside out all day long I'm like enough you know I'm not into it I've never been into it I'm very pro hide the baby's face I mean it's okay if you're a prominent public figure if you have a big phone I'm talking like hundreds of thousands of millions of followers and stuff like and some people just don't care and I get that like I I used to kind of be like that where I was like what's the big deal but it just feels to me it just feels weird
Starting point is 00:37:07 it feels gross like make content you can talk about all the stuff you do but I don't you don't need to like share the kid non-stop and make your entire brand around your kid the kid doesn't deserve that I feel like the kids just being a kid and or let kids be kids you know they don't need fucking iPhones and multiple takes of doing a cartwheel in front of their face their whole childhood like it's just it's it's weird to me I want to maintain a sense of a lot of distance between the online world and my kids real life reality like I don't want to enmesh that and make it this like free-flowing thing where they're just always yeah I just I'm not into it I was just gonna say something about oh if you're like if you're if you're like a normal person with a
Starting point is 00:38:03 normal life and you have like let's say you've got your 1200 Instagram followers and they're all your family and friends maybe you have a private account like share your kit all fucking day long of course your friends want to see that but to put it out to the masses and to profit off of it feels gross to me like i i i'm not gonna name drop i'm not i don't like to blast people but there's a podcaster out there with a new baby and I swear they I'm not gonna they he or she they were like so anti doing that and then now they had a kid it was like all that shit went out the window and they're doing all the ads with the kid and all they're taking all the pictures and sharing all the milestones and they're just like
Starting point is 00:38:55 throwing it in their followers face and it's like I don't know I guess it's it's so normalized we some people don't give it a second thought but these same people said like I never do that so yes I am judging it I am judgmental of that especially if you've got a huge platform and that's what your content is all about it's all if you're doing your content all about your kid and you're showing them I'm into like if you want to do the mommy content talk about the mommy stuff talk about all that like do it but don't put your kids at the front of the camera every single time and make it about them and like shit yeah so there's this really I like this mommy tiktoker I think her name's Shannon she's got a bunch of little boys I think she her whole thing is like
Starting point is 00:39:43 getting out of the house as a stay-at-home mom like getting her boys out of the house every single day but I noticed that she always like blurs their faces and I'm into that like I think yeah that's what I'm into so anyways what other this episode was not a deep dive on a certain topic but we did I think I just in like I maybe enlightened you that you can now drink up your GLP-1 instead of shooting it up and maybe there's something to that I mean there's so I bet there's gonna be so many products on that market like there already are but the technology is getting so much better and honestly i feel like this curb drink thing i took it doesn't give you all those bad side effects like the injectable version does i think that's it's more of a it's more like
Starting point is 00:40:35 low-key natural way to get in more glp-1 and what even is glp-1 so glp-1 is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar appetite and digestion it is produced naturally in the body by cells in the intestine okay back to reddit it's such a cop-out to do this kind of it's not it's entertainment i'm really i'm just like i love i fucking love reddit i don't care um what is the eeriest thing you've seen on the internet that scared you psychologically like this interests me i want to get into it and i'll wrap the episode after this but let me read a few of these that photo from inside fort vox 1916
Starting point is 00:41:20 with the staircase of gas mask clad corpses shirts probably staged but the empty stairs from all the gas masks like the camera yeah that was like those old um gas gas mask pictures are so creepy like let me see if I can find the photo oh I don't know if I want to it's gonna scare me it's gonna like creep me out psychologically let me see Fort Fox 1960 masks oh yeah wish I didn't search it don't don't do that I'm not gonna do anymore I don't know if i can wait let me see what another one says maybe i'll be curious oh there was a tumblr blog called the art of dying alone it was a gallery of forensic pictures of corpses found in abandoned apartments and houses many of them were in a high state of decomposition
Starting point is 00:42:19 there was no violence there was barely any blood but the idea of dying with no one else to notice totally abandoned abandoned without anyone else to care for you and your final days became my biggest nightmare in life I don't want to end up alone oh it's like elderly people that are I'm assuming older people that were just dying and they had nowhere to go no one to call they had no support wow someone's like I'm it's funny because I'm the opposite I want to be able to wander out far away from civilization where no one will ever find me when it's my time i hate the idea of someone cleaning me up or processing my remains yeah it's just on the death topic um i know i've been talking a lot about liam pain rest in peace um i guess
Starting point is 00:43:14 there's there's this new update that he fainted before he fell so i guess that confirms that he didn't jump off the balcony yeah I guess they found they had the footage to confirm that new details are emerging regarding the investigation until Liam Payne's passing okay he tragically passed away at 31 while on vacation in Argentina so we talked about the drugs they found in his system last week the trauma he um had to his body that ended his life um where is this information I heard about him fainting Liam Payne let me just type in Liam Payne fainting I'm pretty sure
Starting point is 00:44:16 they had that on there's footage of that obviously they're not releasing okay here we go liam payne reportedly fainted before he fell to his desk death security footage shows that's awful so there's footage that is not being released to the media with the balcony scene where you see that liam faints and tragically because of where he is falls from that balcony if he had been inside if he had been beside his bed he would have fallen on his bed varela varela said on the show the mirror or varela said who's varela uh oh an argentinian journalist paula varela
Starting point is 00:45:07 it's not that he jumped deliberately the footage is in the official case files that's so sad i don't know what's worse it's none of it or fuck like I guess that gives his family obviously the closure knowing that how do you ever get closure on that but knowing that he it was he didn't intentionally jump or anything he didn't commit suicide um I think it's like okay it's so it makes it not like okay how do you say it makes it worse but that it was just an accident like because okay maybe if he had fallen on his bed or on his hotel floor he would have eventually come to and maybe he wouldn't have passed you know maybe he would have he would have even if it was like really bad and they had to like break his doors
Starting point is 00:46:04 down and come in you know resuscitate him or something like he maybe not resuscitate because how would they find that out if he was just in there by himself but you know maybe he would have stayed alive even with all those drugs on board um there's so many there's so many because yeah I don't think if you're gonna end your life you jump three stories I'm sure people do but I guess he fainted which is it's it's just so shitty it's like fuck really just like yeah wait speaking of death again back to this reddit um someone wrote if you die quickly it doesn't really matter you aren't alive to experience how long it took someone to find you my fear is dying slowly because you have no one checking on you like old people who fall and break
Starting point is 00:47:05 bones and can't get up they just have to die of thirst on the floor oh my god someone said my great aunt passed away this way she had a stroke laying on the couch and couldn't get off of it nobody checked she wasted away to death smushed between couch cushions alone oh my god dude you need a life. Everyone get, if you're over 80, get a life alert, please get that fucking life alert around that neck. Do they still advertise that? You need, I feel like I have an Apple watch. I feel like they, they have, if you have an Apple watch or something to, to, to detect if you fall or if your heart does something weird, at least you could call for help and something's on you. okay i'm gonna read some more of these
Starting point is 00:47:56 oh yeah yeah this was a weird when i saw this that one video of the woman who runs into an elevator and she looks extremely scared she eventually was found dead in the water tank on top of the building but the last footage of her life is definitely eerie yeah um not that much comforting i know but i've listened to a podcast that explained the case the woman most likely wasn't victim to crime but had bipolar disorder and decided to kill herself after she stopped taking her meds oh wow that had stabilized her previously she was in a manic phase and depression damn brains are nuts take it from me my brain i sometimes there's just a lot going on I think some people just have a lot going on it's not
Starting point is 00:48:51 good or bad it just is what it is and if you have a lot going on in your brain some people have I mean it's it can ruin your fucking life you know can kill you that's that's so dumb it's like it's just it's just an organ dude it's just an organ with like synapses firing and shit and it's got like but no not everyone's wired with a chill brain I feel like if you're with if you're if you're like a girl if you're a girl like me and you're with a man you have a boyfriend a husband like being around a man all the time like a man just like a solid boring man of course not boring but like he's so grounded and so calm and so level-headed and so rational and so like chill and just like
Starting point is 00:49:46 he you want to talk about like being able to focus and get shit done like I blink and like 10 things are done around this house like like he just gets which I love like I don't have to beg him to do anything like he just does stuff it's just so nice and then whenever I talk to and have my spirals I kind of had one last night a little bit after Halloween we're not a spiral we were just having a little deep talk but he just sits there and he listens and I'm just like going in a circle and he calls it whenever I go down this he's like don't go down the spiral staircase and I said I said it's too we're on this we're already going down it you're going down with me but he's just a rock the whole way like he doesn't fucking he just keeps it straight
Starting point is 00:50:31 the whole time. And then he always spits back something so wise and profound and simple. And I'm like, that must be nice to just have that kind of clarity and wisdom and calmness about tough things you're going through. You don't really overthink it. You just go, okay. And I used to be, the thing is, and this is what I've worked on so much on the show is I feel like I really mastered that a couple years in the show I really felt just solid and good and then I don't know in the last like I think because my life is just there's more going on getting older there's more responsibilities there's more stuff like I'm not I'm learning I'm just kind of adapting to it and I think I struggle sometimes to the adulting stuff and it's and I think it's because I feel
Starting point is 00:51:21 like I get overwhelmed because I feel like I'm juggling a lot and I really I'm really not that's the thing like when you put my shit on paper it's like so fucking light like I'm good I don't know why I think I think it's a it's a bad habit it's a bad habit of me I think I and I told Corey I was super honest I was like I think I just do this sometimes for attention which is so fucked up it's so I'm pissed off that I do that and I catch myself I'm like this is nothing I'm complaining about nothing I'm not I'm not like a complainer all the time I'm not always like whining and complaining it's and it's not towards like Corey it's towards myself I'll just I'll just spiral and complain about my situation like it's because it's my fault it's
Starting point is 00:52:06 I'm putting myself in it I'm not doing you know but and then I start blaming my ADHD potential ADHD and I start going off and then I get like a whiny I turn into a whiny little bitch because I'm like well my brain doesn't work properly and it's so annoying because I'm trying to do it all and be it all and I can't because I'm not focused I'm dysregulated all the time you know and I just don't like being that way so I think you know here and there I'll catch it or for the most part I'd say every single time I catch myself doing that I'm like just shut the fuck up and like just keep it moving you know just shut up and keep it moving that's shut up and keep it keep it moving title of the episode um rotten.com sixth grade it changed my perspective on some things
Starting point is 00:52:56 i don't know what that is ron.com let me see eerie eerie eerie trying to find another really good one. The video of the girl who got hit by a brick that fell off a truck and broke through her windshield. I don't know. Maybe it was how easily that could happen. Yeah. There are so many close calls. I was on the train tracks. Oh my God. I was, this was like a month ago. And we have these train tracks downtown in downtown San Diego that they're really active. There's always like the
Starting point is 00:53:46 Metro, the coast liner, whatever it's called, the coaster going up and down it. And like, if you're driving through the city, like you're going to, you're going to stop for the train quite a bit. Um, and I didn't know fuck moment because I was on the other side of the big arm that comes down that when you hear the ding, ding, ding, ding, you know, and then you're like, Oh shit, a train's coming. You know, you stop in front of it and you don't, I was on the other side of it and the width of the tracks are so wide and the other one on the other side was coming down where I was like okay if I accelerate forward to try to like get to the other side because I'm already past this arm I'm gonna get hit but then I was like I'm on I'm basically like
Starting point is 00:54:31 I was on the tracks but I didn't know if it was the track I was on that the train was coming or it was like the next one in front of it so I was like oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck but it's back back to this thing it makes you realize how vulnerable you are sometimes and how like you could just easily I mean look Liam Payne fainting and fucking falling off his balcony it's like boom done just dumb the dumbest stupidest littlest things can kill you the most like unintentional like stupid mistakes trying to find another good one oh accidentally watching JFK getting his head blown off was pretty messed up
Starting point is 00:55:25 definitely wasn't expecting to see the whole video uncensored like that um i think what was interesting about the rogan trump episode was he was mentioning the jfk files like opening that opening them up for clarity he's like i think it would give it would give a lot of or like closure or clarity i know there's so many conspiracies around that that's a rabbit hole i haven't really gone down to be honest but um yeah it's gonna be wild next week I just honestly I don't if you made it to the end of this episode like I don't give a fuck if I don't care if you hear this or not about like my thoughts on Kamala and Trump but like I said this in the bathroom to Corey
Starting point is 00:56:14 this morning I was like if Kamala gets elected and this might be like so extreme like oh like give me a break, like grow up. Like it's not that serious or it's not that big of a deal. But I was like, I was like, wait, if that actually happens, I feel like I told her, I was like, I'm just going to feel numb. Just like, Oh, here we go again. Another four years. Like just like, it just like a feeling, not like excitement, not joy, like not rah, rah. It's going to be like, Oh God, just like give me a, I need a drink. Like literally I'm just going to be like, fuck, you know? but who's to say, you know, there's a lot, when I was reading her policies next to Trump's yesterday, when I was really like deep diving into it, I was, as I was reading them, I was like,
Starting point is 00:57:03 oh, and the thing is, it's like, can she even recite them? Like, could she even tell you like verbatim, like what they are? That's a thing like Trump, he can, he'll go off, you know, But with her, it's like, what is she ever saying ever? You know, it's just, I don't sure. So I agree with a lot of her policies. I agree with a lot of Trump's policies. I'm, you know, there are some things where I, when I was reading hers, especially, Oh, I get why people want to vote for this. Like that made sense to me a hundred percent. I'm not like, Oh, this is all ridiculous. I was like, Oh no, a lot of this makes sense. But is she the best tool in the toolbox for the country? i don't know actually i do not know she's i don't think she is
Starting point is 00:57:47 i don't think she is i think if you're if you want to vote on vibes i don't think she's the vibes aren't aren't i'm not feeling the vibes from her but people are like i was and this is like shade a little shade because we follow each other on TikTok but I saw this video and it was like can you be friends with a Trump supporter like let's break this down can you be friends with a Trump supporter and the comments on that video I was like first of all asking that question in itself is like what you know like what they make it like he's literally the worst thing ever to happen in this world and it's like what
Starting point is 00:58:35 there are people that literally think that and people that love him and it's like such a weird there's like no in between and i think that's the weirdest thing where there's no yeah you can't people are like yeah i've lost friends and family over it and no i can never be friends with the trump support i'm like what's the big deal who gives a fuck that's my take i'm like what's the big deal i can be friends with someone who votes for kamala i can be friends with someone who votes for trump and you can be friends with people that differ politically than you like there's no but it's a the it's like a moral thing it's like a character flaw if you like trump that means it's there's something wrong with your character and who you are and you're
Starting point is 00:59:19 as a person it's like that gets attacked if you like trump which is so fucked up i could say the same in another way for people i mean i could flip it you could flip it and say the same thing about people that are super fans of kamala like when people I'm sorry like when I see videos of people that are really like sold and and super convinced about her and like super supportive I'm like I'm like it's creepy almost it's like holy fuck they got got and I don't know how they got got because how do they not have it's like if they see they seem stupid I don't know how else to explain it and she seems stupid I just I don't get it but you know what we're gonna find out
Starting point is 01:00:11 next week and it's all gonna be okay because most of the time it's okay this lot the last four years it wasn't I'm not a big fan of all the wars going on and all the fucking inflation and all the what did I buy the other day where I was like I remember that when this was $4.99 and now it's like $8.99 I'm like this is literally sparkling water this is literally sparkling water i'm buying like when trump was president i could spend five dollars on this and now i'm spending nine for sparkling i just don't love the inflation i just don't i don't love the cost of living and like i don't know if that's there's a probably a lot more to it and i'm obviously not an expert in economics but i just don't like yeah i don't like how things have gone and the the i
Starting point is 01:00:59 think oh my god speaking of like oh I need a drink and I'm gonna just feel numb and just be like fuck this but if she gets elected oh my god the morale in this country if Trump was to get elected I feel like I feel like their morale is just gonna be so high and so giddy and like happy and people are just gonna be I honestly like I know there's gonna probably be riots but like the parades I feel like people are just gonna be like we're a country again we're back together it's all good but people are terrified of that they genuinely think like the world is gonna end if he gets elected it's so crazy to me I'm just obsessed with the marketing like that they're doing for his campaign like the fucking dump truck or the garbage truck the McDonald's thing
Starting point is 01:01:41 and I really liked when I honestly like there are some good moments and bad moments on the Rogan episode but I don't know I just felt like I just it made me like him even more just having that long form with him was so great i don't know if he's done he's done a lot of podcasts i don't know if he's done them that long but they were kind of broing out at a certain point too it was kind of funny like talking about ufc shit i was like they're buddies i guess i don't know but good on rogan for getting him on and i guess like doesn't kamala need like all of the questions and doesn't she need like all of so like obvious what's going on she doesn't know her shit and for people that are like yeah she
Starting point is 01:02:31 does and she's got a better education than trump and she's got more experience and it's like just listen to her you know like just listen to what she says i'm always lost i'm always like what so anyways that's the episode again this is audio only we'll be back on video next week I got to get my lighting system back because I literally like plugged it in and almost burnt the house down like something like it failed like the cord I've been with this cord my my lighting thing for four years now and it finally gave up on me and it happens but um the show must go on sometimes I feel like these audio episodes are more chill. I don't know how to explain it. I feel more, I feel like I'm not, I don't have to put on a show for the camera. I'm just like talking
Starting point is 01:03:23 and it's, I don't know. All right. That's it. Happy November. Thank you so much for hanging out. I hope you enjoyed this episode. Hope your Halloween was good. Let me know if you've ever taken Ozempic or thought it was like, maybe you have, I don't know who listens to this. It's taking ozempic or is on it but if you've been ozempic curious if you're like oh that wouldn't that be nice i can just like because look i think for me it's like we i spend so much time on my physical body right like keeping it fit keeping it lean eating right i do all the right things you know i try to do all the right things but i think our little all of our little our all of us can agree our little genie wish in this life would be to would be to kind of like eat
Starting point is 01:04:18 whatever not eat whatever you don't want to ever feel like shit you could like just eat and not have to like worry about gaining weight wouldn't that be nice like come on I know that's not realistic but um not I'm not saying that ozempic just makes that happen obviously it doesn't there's so many fat like you have to be so dialed in while you're on it like you can't just like fuck off it just helps with not or quieting the mind with the foods I don't have by the way my dream post or my dream when I was in the thick of my eating disorder stuff was I want to know what it's like to wake up every day and not hyper focus on food and about five years ago I think it was 20 let's just say 2020 2020 yeah in 2020 I officially fixed that or it actually happened and it was kind of a
Starting point is 01:05:07 natural progression so I know the before and after of that life and now with these ozempic options GLP-1 medications and like the supplement I took that literally shut my brain off in the food department I was like full I was satisfied I was like I'm not hungry it was so weird um I think it's gonna it helps it's gonna help a lot of people out it is helping a lot of people out in that department where because that's what the problem is is when you're always thinking about food you're always thinking you're hungry it's like you're really not and we eat way too much like we do like when's the last time you've actually been like really hungry you know I'm not about like starving yourself obviously and um but I think it's good for your body to
Starting point is 01:05:54 chill and not always be full of food and um yeah I'm I'm curious I'm gonna I think I'm gonna drink it my routine is I'm gonna try I guess you're supposed to drink it before your biggest meal so I'm gonna start drinking it like before dinner and I just want to see how I feel um but something I have been doing for like just and I did this before the wedding that I think was like the number one reason I lost 15 pounds it's so funny I'm talking about like I don't need to lose weight I did not even end this episode um but I did want to like lean out for the wedding and something I did that was so simple but so effective was I just started when I plated our food because I we cooked at home a lot right before the wedding like almost every meal like we stopped going out to restaurants
Starting point is 01:06:39 you know we had our little we had our fun on the weekends but like we were cooking and eating at home every single day but I remember literally since I met Corey like when I would plate our food I would just like put the same amount on my plate and like this fucking man is six three over 200 pounds like he doesn't need or I don't need excuse me I don't I should not be eating as much as I mean I don't my body doesn't need as much as he does you know in theory so of course you know I would yeah I what am I saying I so yeah that was the biggest I feel like the most effective thing I did I just started putting smaller portions on my plate and that just that made just that little switch where you're like I'm not putting as much protein and veggies and
Starting point is 01:07:29 rice or whatever we're having like I just put a little bit smaller than his I feel like over time that worked so um anyways it's it's a grind you know it's a constant I don't think that voice will ever shut off 100% for me it's like the voice of giving a fuck about how I look and you just like learn to live with it and I don't obsess over it I think I again I it stopped in 2020 but I think I officially I think it comes with age but I my goal is to recover from it recover from it because I did not want it to last my lifetime I did not want it to over overrule my life as a woman for my entire life and now i'm just kind of like i'm chill about it all but i am drinking glp one or i'm taking yeah it's wild it does it tastes really good
Starting point is 01:08:21 tastes really good so it's like peach something peach mango maybe all right thank you so much this was fun hope you enjoyed this episode please hit that subscribe button wherever you're listening right now i'm on apple spotify google podcast stitcher breaker overcast wherever you listen to podcasts please hit that subscribe button and review the show five stars while you're there follow me on tiktok at jocelyn monroe instagram at jocelyn monroe subscribe to my youtube channel the jocelyn monroe show this is a video and audio podcast so you can watch me on youtube and spotify for the video version check it out and you know i haven't plugged this in a minute but if you want to support the show patreon.com slash tjms it's five dollars a month it's my little tip jar
