What's up, guys? It's episode 393. Welcome back to the show!
I don't ever slow up. No, I don't take shit. I got no love for the fake news.
If you wanna play tough and wanna hate this, I'll always show up and make a statement.

Hey, what's up? It's Jacqueline. Welcome back to the show.
All right. So we have a lot of material to cover today, but I want to set the scene first because
I'm feeling myself. I'm feeling this Saturday morning podcasting situation.
It's 9 a.m. on the dot, February 15th, the day after, let me turn this off,
the day after Valentine's day. Corey's out golfing. He's playing in a tournament. There's
high stakes okay this this golf tournament if they win his team's been doing this for like
six years or something and they want to get the trophy back but like if they win
i think a lot of money goes to charity or something i think that's what this is all for
but then they get to go on a trip to like pebble beach on a private jet so like cory's golfing
dogs are fed my starter my sourdough starters fed my sourdough starter starter is rising we'll get
into that and I decided I'm gonna start the day I'm gonna start the I love this but I'm cozy I'm
in a hoodie I'm sitting back I got my coffee at like 9 a.m. I have a diet dr. pepper the vibes
are great I love Saturday mornings um but I decided Valentine's Day was yesterday and I
decided that I want to start off this podcast by hold on I have an itch on my nose
basically like I had a come into Jesus moment about Valentine's Day yesterday and I think
the reason I want to talk about this is because I think I'm maturing. Like, I think this is
maturity. I think this is what it's like to grow up and be in your thirties. Basically I'm perceiving
things differently. So Valentine's day was yesterday. Right. And by the way, this is going
to be a shit talking session to start the show off with oh my god do i have enough caffeine in me i
it's the doxy okay it's my perioral dermatitis medication i'm combining with
all of my other meds and then i'm also in my stoner phase right now so like i'm groggy from
the weed i ingested last night i'm stoner phase meaning i do edibles i don't smoke i don't like
I just I'm not into like smoking weed I like to eat it so that's what's happening okay so I decided
I'm gonna start off the podcast today by talking my shit this is gonna so it's shit talk but like
also we're talking about maturity and like life uh chapters and whatnot so long story short and
this isn't gonna sound very girls girl of me very women supporting women of me this is gonna be the
kind of segment where like as a viewer as a commenter if this is a TikTok clip maybe I'll
make one I don't know where you're gonna go you needed all of that equipment to say that like this
is why podcasting equipment should be more expensive like this is the that's the vibe of
what I'm about to say and I get it but here's the thing we all have internal thoughts that um
and judgments and like like I'm just I and I have a whole segment on
influencer snark and like being obnoxious being cringe oversharing saying your internal thoughts
out loud that should say internal inside thoughts so like I'm a walking talking running sitting in
my podcast chair contradiction like I always have this like tug of war about like should I be a
bitch should I say the thing inside my head out loud do other people think this is this too much
basically long story short this is this is what we're gonna get into okay I got the ick so hard
on Valentine's Day yesterday from single people feeling the need to make a statement
post their little reel or post their little like photo shoot thirst trap in their red dress and
their sexy outfit you know I love me shit I you know the real is like what are you doing on
Valentine's Day Pilates bitch and they're in like the cherry red Pilates set it's like I cringe so
fucking hard for single it's not your day okay Valentine's Day is not your day and I just think
it's it's so like sad and like annoying when it's like and I'm all about Galentine's like I'm all
about like girls getting together and like have your little Galentines, but like, it's just so
cringe. And I think I'm going to take this a step further. It's cringe when it's like you're 35
and I'll say it, I'll say it. I know I'm being rude. And then I also got the ick for my younger
self. Like I would do it too. I do a photo shoot with my 10 second timer and my kitchen with like
the white wall background. You know, I would try to make it look all like aesthetic and cute.
then I'd post it but like the reason I'm bringing this up is because
now that I'm in a different life chapter right I'm married I'm 30 I'm in my 30s now
I look back at my younger self and especially like when I was single and I'm so like
cringed out by it so now when I see other single people posting the way I used to post to like get
attention and to like you know it's like everyone's trying to you know get it right like we're all
trying to get it and like that's okay I'm I'm all you know I support that I'm trying to you know
I'm still trying to get I'm married I'm still trying to get I'm still trying to like you know
and so like I have a lot of like I have a heart I have empathy for it like I I know what we're
all trying to do but now when I see like you know I'm gonna just be this is where it's like
cunt mode okay
it's cute when you're like 18 to 25 it's sad now i understand like women don't expire when
they're 30 or you're this is like a what are you you're being ageist or you're like
this is like the patriarchy uh brainwashing happening in your mind or whatever like
i just it's sad when you're 35 and you're posting the pilates reel i'm sorry like it's
just sad and I and I like on Valentine's Day of like doing me like I'm I don't need no man like
whatever they post it's like sad it's like it doesn't have the same it's not hot it's not hot
it's hot when you're like 22 to like when you're in your 20s you can get away with it but once I
know you're 35 like I'm just ballparking like it's sad like don't do the when you're 35 and
you're still doing the neener neener post to your ex on Valentine's day as a single woman you look
like a joke like I'm just saying like that's the that's the judgy statement I wanted to make like
I can't help myself like I just we need to mature we need to grow up and social media it
blurs so many lines like everyone feels like um it's like everything is gen z vibes on social
media like even when you're pushing 40 like it needs to we need to have like a graduation
ceremony once you turn 30 it's like okay you're not posting like you did on snapchat when you
were in college when you were 21 like it mature like elevate like and I get it like we don't all
need to settle down and get married and be boring and not post on valentine's day when we're single
and I like I live your life do whatever the fuck you want I just think like when I see it I'm like
oof it's like grow up or like stop like it's sad like it just makes me I'm like
but hey I still do it I still like posting a hot pic I'm married like I still like I get it I
totally get it and when I was single like that was when I was at my most cringe with how I posted
like I was so desperate for attention from men and I was like it was I look back at some of my
archive pictures and I'm like I cannot believe I even like like my grandma saw that I'm like I
can't like that was disgusting my entire ass was out like I do have did I archive a recent yeah I
did I archived a I think it was a bikini pic I was like this is I'm married like no I'm
Corey doesn't give a shit he hypes me up it's fine like within reason like he doesn't give a
shit obviously but um anyways yeah like yesterday was just like rough for the single
fuck single people valentine's posts and then on top of that it's like the 20 picture carousel
like that's like the biggest red flag their relationships on its way out like the longer
the caption like the rocking or the relationship and yet people still in 2025 do it it's like how
do they not how do they not know that information like anyways so yeah I have my thoughts and my
inside thoughts it should probably stay inside thoughts that I'm gonna say outside and I'm gonna
kind of regret after I say it but like I just I feel like I'm maturing because the way I perceive
people now in my own age range especially is so much different and it's like I feel like I'm being
judgmental and that's not okay like it's not like I shouldn't be this way but I kind of like
I see people like having the Peter Pan syndrome thing or like not evolving in like in maturing
why do people need to mature why do I care so much about this that's the other thing I need to ask
myself. I don't know. It just made me cringe. That's all I'm going to say. Just made me cringe
and that I can be, I can, that's what I'm going to say. So, okay. Now that that's over, we're
going to get into the meat and potatoes here of the show. We've got life updates. We've got Luigi
Mangione's first public statement to go over. We've got a man inside of a whale, a kayaker that
was eaten by a whale. We've got, it's going to be heavy on the life updates and the storytelling
about like recent life things that I've been going through and like what I've been up to
there's a lot to cover here so that'll be the bulk of the show and then I have
I think I'm gonna end with this article from the cut about reddit snarkers because I've talked
about my love of reddit snark and my like I don't I don't care how that makes me look I don't care
if that makes me look like yeah like there's a negative connotation of reddit snark and I like
think there's a lot of positives to it as a content creator as a podcast host so
I see things differently I think or like I have a perspective that I don't really
hear a lot about reddit snark as a content creator like that I want to talk about and
this article from the cut just came out and um yeah we'll go over that so yeah let's go over
what Corey and I did for Valentine's Day yesterday I'll keep it short and sweet okay we got sushi
it was cute we got sushi I baked him a double batch of chocolate chip cookies that I had to
hide for a couple days I had that cookie dough in the back of the fridge I let it sit in the fridge
for 24 hours because I like to do that when I bake cookies I feel like it tastes way better when you
let all of the cookie dough ingredients just meld together so yeah I had to like keep that hidden in
the back of the fridge and he doesn't really go back there though like I don't know how he would
have had all these packets of like chicken I get I get these it's like I'm in a phase I go through
grocery store phases all the time like for two months I'll be going to Trader Joe's and then
two months after that I'll be going to Vons and then two months after that I'll be going to Sprouts
and then it's like I have a rotation and right now I'm in my target phase and specifically at
Target I like these chicken these shredded chicken packs they have I don't think they're
the healthiest like the best quality but anyways I had those stacked up in front of the
thing of cookie dough hit him I hid that from him for a day and that was a little scary but
and then the next day I had to mask the smell of the cookies baking and he comes in the house he
goes, Oh, it smells so good. Like he didn't even question it though. So I was in the clear. So
what else happened? Oh, I got him an aura ring. Corey got an aura ring for Valentine's day. And
the reason I got it selfishly was so we can compare our sleep scores every morning. And
cause I'm convinced that like, he's the kind of person where it's like, and I think it's a guy
thing where he doesn't need like eight hours. He can get like six and he's like good. And I feel
like he's got like a super good heart rate. And like, he's, I don't know, like he doesn't
where I'm more sensi. Like if I don't, if I get less than eight, I need a nap and that happens
every day. So I take a nap. Like literally it's so bad. Like I, my sleep is, I feel like I sleep
good but if I get less than eight it's not looking good on my sleep score on my aura ring so I wanted
to see like okay we sleep we go to bed at the same time we wake up at the same time like whose
score is better like you know I want to compare the numbers so I got him an aura ring he's kind
of been wanting one so yeah we uh he woke up this morning he's like oh I got my first sleep score
and he got like a 96 and I got like an 84 I was like case in point like it's just wild like so
over time I'm curious to see like what the trend is between the two of us um but anyway so that
was our valentine's day what else happened oh I had to do like a Nordstrom run I got him
he's never had Saks underwear S-A-X-X Saks underwear so I was like I'm gonna get him
some new underwear from Saks I got him what else did I get him some moisturizer
some shirts I think I got him a lot of random shit yeah it was fun I love Valentine's Day it's
sweet it's um cute we okay we got sushi this guys I'll be honest like hi brain fog hi I need to stop
uh getting stoned every night and let's go into that topic right now so next life update I'm in
my stoner phase okay this happens every year since I met Corey every February we enter our stoner
her face I I don't know why but something comes over my body in February every year where I'm
like oh I forgot about weed like oh we can get we can get high that's a thing like I remember I'm
like oh weed and then is this podcast interesting like okay like I'm shit talking women to start
about Valentine's Day single women who are like expired because they're 35 and they're like trying
to be hot and it's like cringe to me so like I start out with that and then I'm like do-do-do-do
we got sushi and I baked them cookies and it's like okay do-do-do and then now it's like I'm
getting high every night like you know and I'm sitting here and I'm like processing how
like brain fogging I foggy I am and how I don't know why I do this to myself you know
um I also didn't work out so like I'm I don't have like that sharpness I usually do so anyways
I hope you're enjoying the show let's just kind of restart it hey what's up it's Jacqueline welcome
back to the show thank you all right so we're getting stoned every night it's a thing we do
every February I can't explain it but like for some reason like this has been a pattern for
three years now and yeah I went to the weed shop we like the gummies we like the edibles and
this girl upsold me on like a couple like THC drinks and then this CBD stuff that has THC in
it she's like yeah like I can't live without this so she I spent so much like it got ridiculous I
needed a cart like I stocked up because I know like once we finish this it's we won't be doing
it till next February like it's one of those things where I'm like what is this like I'm also
kind of in a I'm not depressed but I'm like in this phase of like I we already know I cannot stand
the cold I cannot stand winter I'm like so annoyed we just had like a rainstorm it's been
the weather in San Diego has been like and just not ideal and not sunny and it's I'm freezing
all the time right so I'm in this phase of like I'm angsty about how cold it is and I just need
to zone out and get stoned and like watch tv at night and just like you know wait for spring
ride it out you know and that's just kind of what's happening so yeah it's I don't like this
time of year January until May is bs bitch like I hate this time and and this is what I need to
work on like next year I think I'm gonna do an REI run next October before winter starts in San
Diego and I'm gonna do like a full restock of Gore-Tex fabric um clothing for the like I need
like the I need like clothing graded or whatever for like arctic weather because like that I just
I can't do it next year I cannot be cold all for how many months October like four months five
months out of the year I always I always think oh I'm in San Diego like I just need like a light
jacket like I don't need a big no bitch like you need the puffy coat that's down to your ankles
like so next year I think I'm gonna stock up and do it right and I I just don't have the right
things here I sent all my coats back to Washington or I didn't even take them with me when I moved
year this will be my seventh year in San Diego holy shit so yeah like next come next year I'm
gonna be you know looking like an Eskimo walking around San Diego and I don't care because like
nothing is worse I'd rather be too hot than too cold like 10 out of 10 times or like my brain
isn't working nine times over 10 what am I trying to say I would rather be too hot than too cold
every time I don't know whatever okay so sourdough starter next topic
am I a podcast host is this my 493 third episode
fuck okay we'll get into it like I need this I'm still kind of warming up all right we'll start
over again I'm kidding okay so we're getting stoned it's February we've done this for three
years in a row it's fun whatever I honestly like don't love being high I just do it because I'm
like oh like I forgot about this and then now we're doing it and then I'm like picking my face
more and hyper fixating on like a zit that now I'm like it's not good I'm trying to cure my
period dermatitis and that's the thing about weed like I'll just like it doesn't have to be picking
my face it could be anything I get like so hyper fixated on it where like 10 minutes will go by or
I don't know it feels like 10 minutes it's probably a minute and I'm like oh my god what am I doing I
you snap out of it like it's like fun in the moment and then you're like this is not like
healthy so yeah I don't know maybe I'll throw it all out and Kory and I are just like not weed
people like we're just I don't know we're just not like I don't really and I don't like when
people are like I don't know never mind okay so I was gonna say something cunty again and and mean
And it's like, I don't know. Okay. This is a one-star episode. It's okay. If you have to go
to the Spotify or Apple podcast app, by the way, subscribe to the podcast while you're there doing
the one-star review. Like I understand what's going on here and I'll admit to that. Okay.
Thank you for staying on this ride with me though. We will get through it. Let's talk about my
sourdough starter. Okay. Because life update, my sourdough starter doubled in size. It doubled in
size it took me like three weeks we're finally bubbling up we're finally coming to life that's
that's why my first two loaves I did a live taste test on last week's episode you can go watch me
eat sourdough on my on episode 492 that's why it didn't look right or like rise it was like
under proofed or over proofed um so now we're off to the races my sourdough starter is consistently
like doubling in size and growing and I'm feeding it and it's this is like
the okay let's talk about my mind
there are certain things that I come across in this life that
I get obsessive about and like I get super interested in and I'm calling you right now
I'm going to open a bread shop I'm going to open like I will be opening a bakery within the next
five years because of the sourdough journey I'm on like I can't stop researching I can't stop
reading I can't stop watching videos I can't stop staring at my starter I check it every hour I'll
go in it's like I'm staring in a fish tank I'm like watching or like I'm like I put it in the
oven with the light on just to help like help the rise and like keep the temperature warm it's a
little hack a little sourdough starter hack and I find myself like like 10 times a day I go into
my kitchen and I I look through the oven at my starter and I'm just I'm just so like fascinated
by it I'm so like oh my god it's growing like I wake up every morning with butterflies I'm like
oh my god my starter my starter I can't wait to go check it like this is like I I get upset so I am
this is how I felt I haven't felt this kind of butterfly in my stomach feeling about anything
other than meeting quark okay like I'm talking about like hobbies interests since I started
this podcast that's what the sourdough discovery journey has done for me and like when I think
about life and when I think about like the lessons I've learned and the tips and tricks I have from
the lessons I've learned and whatnot like follow the things that you obsess over and like pursue
those things because you'll never get sick of it like I will never I know like I'll never like
stop making sourdough bread like from this point forward I am just gonna be like that will that's
how my brain works like once I find that thing it's it's over I'm it's it's you know and sometimes
life hands you a little it hands you something it's like here's your new hobby that you didn't
know you needed here's your new obsession here's your new hyper fixative whatever like plops in
your lap and you're like holy shit and then you're obsessed and then your life is fun and exciting
and you wake up every day and you have you have butterflies in your stomach because your flour
and your water mixture is like coming to life and you're like oh my god it's like it's so
satisfying like some things to me are just so I've always been interested in like I don't know
when I was a kid, I always gravitated towards using my hands and I would, I loved like
making things, you know, and like, like growing plants. And I don't know, like I used to
just like Play-Doh and shit. I don't know. I just, that side of me, I think was reignited that
you know what it is? It's adult slime. I saw this quote about sourdough starter and it's like slime
for adults. It's like Play-Doh for adults. And it, cause you have to like mix it around. You
have to like like do stuff to it when you feed it and it just feels kid-like and so I think it's
igniting this youthful energy or it's re uh reigniting that side of me and it feels good so
um so that's a sourdough starter update obsessed didn't know I needed this in my life I I kind of
I didn't even resist it I was just like I saw the trad wife videos all of 2024 I saw the
ballerina farm videos I saw like some sourdough videos on my timeline here and there and I was
like oh sourdough like and I know I knew it was the thing like it's it's like okay everyone's
making sourdough it's every you know what did this start I feel like this started during the
pandemic though I feel like I'm super late to the game like everyone was baking no everyone was
baking banana bread during the pandemic like that was like March April May of the pandemic was all
about banana bread and getting fucked up on wine in your house for the entire day like everyone
became a wine alcoholic and a banana bread uh baker those first three months wine alcoholic
is that even a term you get the point like but then sourdough I feel like that was the ballerina
of it all like she came in with the starter and then everyone the trad wife thing kind of popped
off now we're doing the sourdough thing I'm late to the game I feel like I'm pretty late but I am
not leaving anytime soon Corey I got it out of him he's kind of quiet about the things like
he's a man of many words but not he's a man of many he's very chatty with me okay but it's it's
mostly like we're chatting we're joking it's it's light but it's not like his love language or his
it's not like his his way of being isn't like gushing about the things he thinks are cute about
me or the things he loves about me all day long like that is something that's like a moment where
like when it comes out it's really special because it's like this is what he really thinks you know
and so you get the point like we have those like intimate vulnerable sweet lovey-dovey moments
but it's not like the second we wake up to the second the second we wake up to the second we go
to bed he's asking me to pronounce things in different languages like he'll be poking me or
like tickling me or like mess valentine's day was yesterday i am in love with my husband we just got
married a few months ago i'm allowed to gush like okay let me have this he'll be like tickling me
and being all funny and like putting me in like pain from how ticklish i am and then he's making
me pronounce um a phrase in a different language and until I say it in the until he deems the way
I say the phrase in the language he's requesting appropriate enough or if it sounds enough like
and this is like in my race is this racist is this like okay you get the point like if he asked
me to say something in Chinese like I have to say how I think you would say that in Chinese
out loud and then he tells me like he won't stop tickling me until I do it good enough
in a Chinese accent or like he'll say ask him ask for Russian he'll ask for like um Spanish he'll
ask like Italian like so yeah that's what we're doing from the second we get up to the second we
go to bed but what I'm getting to is I got out of him last night at sushi that he thinks it is so
cute like I'm like do you ever just like watch me do something and it makes you smile because
I watched him get us a table last night at sushi and had a moment of like re-falling falling in
love with my husband. And I saw him standing in the front of the line. Cause he just goes to the
front of the line. There was like 40 people waiting for their to-go to-go orders. I observed
him from a distance and I go, I love that man. I just couldn't stop staring at him. So I asked
him like, do you do any, by the way, he told the waiter, uh, he, he clocked the one open table in
the restaurant. He went to the front of the line. He goes, my wife is nine months pregnant. No,
he literally, I think pulled the pregnant card. I think he did, which he didn't, he didn't tell
me I needed to waddle when I walked through the restaurant he went to the front all these people
are like waiting I don't know and they sat her ass down at that that table the one table that
was open I don't know how he did it he always gets it done like that but anyways I asked him
at dinner I go is there something cute I do that you like see from a distance you're like oh that's
so like oh I love watching that and he's like I think it is so cute how you love your starter
and you go and you like like check it and you start up and you can't stop talking about it
he's like I think it's so sweet and cute how you do that and yeah okay so um that's the sourdough
update I think I'm gonna try to bake a loaf tomorrow like a Sunday loaf um okay the Super
Bowl right like let's just talk about that for a second and a half because what a waste of life
that was um super bowl what was it 59 i don't remember who it was the most unremarkable
unrememberable non like it was they didn't even give us it wasn't entertaining in any way shape
or form nothing about the super bowl is so like we yeah we went to the bar that we usually go to
it's a chief's bar and we watched the game we left at halftime because it was 24 to 0 and it
was like hey why are we here like everyone's pissed like we just irish goodbye got an uber
got in the uber and this is interesting so we got in the uber and every now and then you get
you get in an uber where they're like using this job as a way to like practice something or like
like like if they like comedy like they're they're trying to do like their stand-up when they're
driving you around you know they're testing it out on you as passenger like in this case it was
like this this was a hispanic he wanted us to know he was hispanic and not mexican he goes that is a
nationality it's not an ethnicity and i was it was like okay so he started out with that i'm like
okay is he trying to be a politician because then he started talking about illegal immigration the
entire drive then he was talking about how he forced his mom to to get her papers done properly
because he didn't want to have his mother be um undocumented or whatever like it was interesting
like he's in the car he's driving he's like you know these are my people they're coming over here
legally and it's wrong and f this and f that he was like popping the he was popping off at us
um on the way home and that was interesting because I you know I was kind of lit and I was
like yeah like word like I didn't even know what I was saying I was pretty you know turnt from
probably six cores lights by the way speaking of Corey
I trust him so much and I don't question what he says so much to the point
where I checked the time of the Super Bowl start
rephrasing that okay I checked what time the Super Bowl started on Google like a week before
the Superbowl. It said like three 20 or three 30, right? I'm in the car. Corey and I were like
chit-chatting about the Superbowl we're going to do. And I'm like, Oh, I wonder what time it starts.
And I told him three 30. Okay. So in my head, this whole time, like three 30, three 30, three 30.
Tell me why like three days before the Superbowl, I was like, Hey, um, I want to take a spin class
on Sunday and I want to do this and this on Sunday before the Superbowl. And he's like,
oh no you should probably cancel it because um it starts at one so I didn't even this is what
I'm talking about like I didn't even flinch I just go okay okay so then come to find out so we get to
the bar like 11 a.m because it's a bit it's the chief's bar of San Diego we're like we got to get
there early we got to get a seat we got to you know we know people there and they had a table
for us and everything and we got we got there at 11 okay and I'm like what so and I'm like there's
no one here there's like six people in this bar like I'm like it starts you know I thought people
would get here early like we are and it's like no then it's like 120 and I'm like wait a minute
it's one the game hasn't even started and I'm looking at Tom Brady interviewing Patrick Mahomes
and like they're doing the pre-game stuff and I'm like wait what is happening and then I'm sitting
next to our friend and he's like yeah it doesn't start till 3 30 and then they're counting down
on the tv on espn or fox or whatever it's being brought and i'm like it doesn't it's like two
and a half hours until it starts so i'm like i literally trust cory with my life like i trust
everything he says and i'm like why why did i not even like question him in that moment i'm like
And that's, that's the one time I was like, I was right. Like he's always right. I was actually
right that in that instance. And, um, yeah, we were there from like 11 to we, we left at halftime,
but then God, what a, that game sucked. And honestly, like, I just wasn't a fan of Taylor
Swift's outfit. And like, I usually don't talk about her and I don't really have like much to
say. Cause I just, I'm not a Taylor girl. Like I'm not into Taylor, Taylor Swift. She just never
resonated with me like I appreciate her art and I appreciate like I can I can recognize the talent
I can recognize the the genius whatever like I can see that and be like okay but I just she's not
for me um I like a lot of her songs a lot of the boppy ones that we all know and love from the
radio like you know um but the tank top and shorts I'm like it's the super bowl there's something
about it where I'm like it's so to me it was so bad I'm like this is like so I know I knew it was
like hot and humid and wherever they were New Orleans but like that was like so bad like I
don't know like I'm just it was so no hate right but like I don't know the outfits just never do
it for me and I don't know what's happening it's like the Super Bowl like step it up
you're a billionaire, like step it up. So yeah, that was a Superbowl. Um, we just came home and
chilled and watched the second half and I probably fell asleep for half of it. Um,
half of the half second half. All right. Episode three 93 train wreck. Let's start it again.
I'm kidding. Okay. So what else is going on? Um, I do have a note here about one of the commercials
I remembered from liquid death. It was called, so it's like liquid death. And then
the commercial had an airplane pilot in it and I wrote this was like while I was at the bar
watching this commercial I noticed airplane pilot liquid death lol I don't I think I was trying to
like I wanted to connect the whole like oh planes are crashing thing to liquid death and then the
airplane pilot in the commercial don't really know what I was going for there but like that's
honestly I don't remember any of the commercials didn't re-watch any of them didn't oh Kendrick
like oh should I talk about that the halftime show like amazing great I'm a Kendrick fan I'm
not like oh my god I'm obsessed with Kendrick Lamar but like I thought it was nice um I really
don't have any notes there um I just like his vibe I love I just like his branding or whatever
like it's artsy fartsy for a rapper it's like how do I explain his aesthetic or like his brand
it's just very I don't know it's it's cool like it has it's it has a feel to it he has a
Kendrick Lamar has a palpable vibe that you can't really put your finger on it's like only he can do
it you know only he has that essence it's his own and that's cool like he is very much
a one and only an individual a unique like some artists have that and he definitely has that but
it's one of those things where he comes out with the black gloves on the car and he's like sitting
there and he's like you know doing his little like first couple lines of the the song and he's
on the car yeah on the hood of the car whatever and then you're like oh my god he's wearing bell
bottoms and then I don't know just the jacket just he's like short I don't know just like
the whole thing I'm a fan I'm a fan I like his music um yeah so that that's my take on the
halftime show I don't know I really don't have much the Super Bowl was so last year you know
all right so uh oh we went and saw Flight Risk with Mark Wahlberg we love going to the movies
Okay. So here's, here's where I'm at. We, so I only go to movie theaters with reclining chairs
and like food service and alcohol being served. Like I want, I want the full experience when I'm
at the movie theater. Like, because in my opinion, it's like, you're already going to do the dinner
and the movie thing. Right. So just combine it, like sit there, sit back, have a glass of wine,
get your popcorn get your little appetizers watch the movie it's like the perfect date night
so we in San Diego here I feel like they have them everywhere we have a movie theater place that
has that and we just go to go like I don't really care what's on the I don't really care what movie
we're watching I'm not really like oh my god I like it has to be good or what's the point of
going like I'll watch anything so this week we're like or last week we're like let's go see flight
risk it was like the timing right this movie comes out it's basically a plane crash movie
um it the comedy was unexpected the it just the whole movie was like there wasn't really a story
things were just happening and it took you on a ride literally like in a plane that was crashing
like and it was just it was funny because you're like it was kind of like the comedic relief we
all needed considering like what's been going on with the plane crashes in the world um but the
timing of it I'm like I don't know if I needed to see that I am getting on a plane next week
going back to Washington yeah so we saw that it was fun um trying to think there was another plane
crash here in San Diego it wasn't a crash it was a fighter jet that dipped in the water and they
ejected so they were good the pilots were but like damn they just keep they just keep falling
you know there was a plane crash I think in Alaska like a smaller plane I don't really know
I saw that they're doing like I looked it up I can go like minute by minute of the Blackhawk
helicopter that the DC plane crash they have like a timeline of events of like exactly what
happened in each minute I could go through that that could be a segment here I think I have it
pulled up but yeah so yeah we saw flight this these are the life updates what else is happening
um oh I got to tell you about two two really important life updates right here
um I have a target meat situation and a shampoo and conditioner situation
not related to Target, related to my, I don't really know what, my brain not working proper.
I don't know. So let's start with Target. So like I said, I'm in my Target phase. I go through
grocery store phases. It's like every other month I'm going to a new grocery store, right?
So I'm in my Target phase. I go to Target. Something I've noticed about the Target
cashiers is that they're high or they're drunk I don't know or both like I've smelled oh I mean
last time I was there my checker was clearly stoned and then the purse the checker behind me
was clearly that it smelled like red wine like I mean I was like oh my god you know it was it was
a lot I was like oh shit okay so they're on drugs check like the target I go to like these employees
are intoxicated all right I'm convinced like I have so there's always an issue right so it's
the last three so I've been I this is my fourth time going to Target in a row
okay the first time I'm trying to think of the cashier I had basically like the first couple
times it was obnoxiously slow like you know like the the way they put the the groceries in
the bags was like I almost thought okay is there some sort of disability like on board here like
is you know I was trying to be like nice but it was obnoxiously slow and I'm like okay yeah they're
like 20 this is probably their first job they don't really care there's an air pod in they're
like not even paying you know it was one of those things so I'm like all right then it happened
again the next time I go to Target and then what was it the third time I go to Target or the fourth
time what was the last I don't know why I care so much about the time which one it was but
um yeah the third time clearly the guy was stoned like it was he was out of it he was like totally
just not he was okay this is what was pissing me off about the the guy from the last time then I'll
talk about the girl from this most recent time I was putting stuff on the conveyor belt and instead
of grabbing like what was close to him to to scan on the scanner he was reaching at the back now I
had everything organized a certain way like that's how I put stuff on the conveyor belt at the
grocery store right like it's very like OCD because that's just how I am like I when I take the food
out of the bags I like it to be kind of in order so he was just reaching for like the furthest away
from him and I'm like what is he like again like probably on drugs I don't know like it was like
2 p.m I go I go to the grocery store in the like random days of the week in the middle of the day
because I'm like that's the least busy time it always is like if you go at night it's a shit
show. If you go on the weekends, it's a shit show. So yeah. And then this last time, let's
talk about the target meat situation. That's what we're going to call this segment. Um,
okay. I show up with bags. Okay. I clearly, okay. I have my two reusable bags that I bring with me.
right? So I go to the cashier, push my card up and I'm like, Hey, I have these two bags
like for the, for the groceries. Right. And then I hand them to her and she's like, Oh, great.
And then I noticed she's checking out my food and stacking everything up. Now, remind you,
I have those two reusable bags ready to go. Like they're sitting there like you could, Hey,
you can fill these up. Like you could put food in them. So she's stacking all of the food up.
oh and she goes um this is what it was I go here are my reusable bags and she's like oh great and
I go you know maybe we should put the heavy stuff in them like these drinks you know I had drinks
in the back of or like in the cart still but it's like we should probably use these for the drinks
so I so anyways I think she was like stacking up the food because she's like I'm gonna put the
drinks in these two reusable bags so what happened was all of a sudden everything is stacked all
around the cash register and like just off to the side everything is stacked up I mean it's
getting taller and taller I bought she even asked me she's like you know do you got do you have six
kids like what this is a lot of food I'm like this is a week of groceries like we go through a lot of
food in this house and um whatever so everything's stocked up I'm just like confused I'm like annoyed
I'm like here we go again with another Target cashier just out to lunch just not even like is
anyone home like hello so it gets to the point where like everything's been scanned except the
drinks and then I'm like I guess she's gonna put the drinks in the in the reusable bags I brought
so I'm like waiting for that but before she does that she goes did you want to buy any bags today
do you want and I'm like like these plastic ones that are in front of you that you could
have been putting the food in the whole time like the ones that we always like that's just
like, well, you do when you're checking food out and like, you, you know, and I'm like, oh yeah,
totally. Like, yeah, definitely. Like, and she goes, oh, okay. And then she starts putting all
the food in it and like doing, and I'm like, you would think like, oh, the food that doesn't fit
in the two bags that this woman brought, we'll just go in these bags. Cause where else is she
going to put them? Like they're 10 cents, right? Like I know, oh, you should, shouldn't use plastic
bags at the grocery store. You should bring your own. I only brought two. Okay. For, you know,
I didn't bring 10 like I probably should have but like common sense would tell you like that's
you know I would you would think we're not done yet so I'm helping her I'm putting all the bags
in the cart she's putting all the drinks in the reusable bags okay I leave Target you know my
leave the store I get home and I'm like something's missing and I'm like so I just
something I don't I was gonna make a bolognese that night and I'm like where's my ground beef
where's my ground beef I'm like I got steaks I got all this like red meat not the best selection
at Target by the way I suck it up you know I do the best I can they have some organic stuff it's
okay but you know I'm quickly noticing that like the meat's not here so I'm like fuck of course
right it's target and you know this is just standard now like i keep getting these dog
shit employees checking out my food partially my fault for not like noticing the missing bag
probably like sitting there i don't know i don't know where it was when she whatever so
this is the situation with the target the target meat at this point cory had come home
And I was a hundred percent sure the meat was left a target with, with that cashier that totally just failed at her job. Like, I mean, I mean, it's the age range. Is this how 20 year olds, I mean, she was probably like, yeah, 20, if that like pretty young, they're just not with you.
like you're in front of them and there's like this glazed over like they're not very personable
they're just like it's the whole like brain raw internet social media addiction probably
like phone addiction thing I'm sure it's contributing to this like disconnect when
you're in person with these young kids like in the grocery store check like it's just this weird
thing and so you know she doesn't get a pass she doesn't get like uh oh you did your no you failed
at your job at Target like my meat bag it was like $80 worth of meat probably left it was left
so I'm like Corey and I've been telling him about these and it's like why do I keep going back to
Target if this is my experience every single time right I don't know I just like the vibes there
like they have it's like a clean it's like not very busy it's like I don't know whatever so I
think I need to start doing the self-checkout like for real um anyways so Cory I'm like telling
him like oh my god like here we go again like she forgot to put my meat bag in the cart or like I
did I don't know like one of us what you know maybe it was my fault fine but he's like oh well
you know we live pretty close like it's not like a crazy drive he's like oh you know like we have
we have time like he kind of came home early he's like why don't you just go run back and grab it
he is so like that. Like he is so like for him to just like run an errand for him to just like go
and like do a little quick thing. It's like not a big deal for him. And for me, it's like,
like just mentally to like get back in the car, to go back to target, to park, to like show him
my receipt to talk to someone to figure out where the meat bag went. I'm just calculating like all
this bullshit I have to deal with. And I'm just like, at that point, I'm like, it's over. Like,
maybe I'll go back tomorrow and I'll be like, Hey, I noticed like my meat wasn't put in my car
when I checked. Like, you know, I was thinking like, that's where I was at. I wasn't like,
I'm immediately going to like turn around and go back to target. Like, but again, that's how
Corey's brain works. He's like, Oh, just like go fix it. Like go, you know? Um, and he ended up
walking the dog so it worked out like he was walking the dogs they really needed to go you
know on their little like afternoon stroll and take a shit so that worked out we were kind of
teaming up there I go back to target I park my car I take my receipt I'm walking around and I'm
like I immediately go back to that cashier who's clearly off her shift or fired I don't know which
one should have been fired on the spot um in that moment I should have called I should have asked
for her manager like I don't know I should have made a scene I should have gone full fucking
karen on her because i cannot it was so obnoxious the stacking everything was stacked up you know
when you put your card in and you're like you know doing your little pin pad thing you're putting
your phone number in for target like that thing was like i couldn't see her that's how much food
was stacked on top of it it's like this is and there wasn't she was fully a fully functioning
adult she was not like you know there wasn't some sort of neurodivergence i wasn't like picking up
on that. So, um, so anyways, I go into target. I immediately go back to the cashier. She wasn't
there. Um, probably on her break, whatever fired. I don't know. So then I'm like, shit. And then
I'm like, okay, do I just go to the meat section and just grab the things that I'm missing and
just like, tell them like, Hey, this was left here. And I, you know, I want to like, so I was
trying to like figure this out honestly at the end of the day I should just walked in grab the
meat it's California then no one I couldn't no one would arrest me like I could totally get away
with this walk in grab the meat I was missing the steaks the ground beef whatever else I got
put in a bag dip like hey I have my receipt I paid for this you know my checker didn't this
is such a long segment but like basically I targets pretty big this is what happened
cashier wasn't there so I walked over to the food section I ask an employee I go hey my food was
like my something was left here when I just checked out like an hour ago you know what do I
do she's like go to exchanges and returns and then I'm looking at the opposite end of the store where
I just came from I power walk to exchanges and returns I get to exchanges and returns and she
goes oh yeah we just had to like clock it all out or like mark it all as toxic waste or whatever
all this meat because yeah we just got that bag we that but that's what we have to do so like we
can't resell it to you we can't give it to you and I'm like oh of course there's always some sort of
like policy right so I'm like all right so what do I do I'm like this is my receipt I bought the
meat she she's like yeah I you know this is definitely what you got she's like all right go
get it at the meat section by the way I just stand in line and exchanges and returns before I got to
this point so like that was a whole like 10 minutes standing there she's like go get the
meat that you bought and bring it back and then you're you'll be good to go so I'm thinking okay
if I had to bring it back she just has to like verify that what I got matches what I got in the
receipt and like what I'm so I'm like all right fine so then I have to like go the opposite end
the store to the meat section I get the meat and then back to the other end of the store I mean
I'm just like at this point it's like 10 football fields of distance just back and forth and I'm
annoyed because I'm like I want to make dinner I just want to be home I just want to hang with
Corey and the dogs like you know this is like adulting like bullshit it's just stuff you know
like it's fine but I just like hate it I'm like why didn't I order my groceries for to get like
delivered because like I don't know I do love I do personally like love grocery shopping though
I find a lot of joy in like looking at everything and selecting everything and
browsing and like I just love shopping in general like it's very I love it so
get back to exchanges and returns and I'm trying to like beat people to this line but there's like
10 people waiting and I'm just like fuck me now I have to wait again so now I'm standing there
the bag of meat from the target meat aisle at exchanges and returns and I'm just like
waiting you know people have shit they're returning they're giving them the receipt they're
bringing I don't even know you know how it goes with like when you return something
so you can imagine like I'm witnessing this and I'm like I already bought this
and I have to go to the front of the line to confirm the meat in this bag matches the meat
on my receipt anyways long story short I don't know like 20 minutes goes by I'm like standing
there and I'm like again I did this at the CVS line uh last week I talked about that on my last
episode about practicing being present so I did in that moment kind of stay off my phone I'm just
kind of like embracing this angst and anger coming over my body about having to do this um I get to
the front of the line she goes oh you're good bitch I I wish she just like waved me waved at
me in the back of the line she could see I'm waiting with a bag of meat and just went like
oh no you're good like keep it moving so I stood through I stood there I wasn't I was just yeah so
that was the target meat situation let's talk about the shampoo and conditioner situation
I gotta like keep things moving okay I have a hair appointment what time is it got I have time
get my hair fixed today. This is a good segue. So I'm getting my toner, putting my hair.
Um, it's still growing very long.
I am drinking a diet, diet, Dr. Pepper or Dr. Pepper, zero sugar at 10, 17 AM. When did I
start this? Nine. Okay. So we're coming up on an hour and a half. Um, or maybe less. I don't know.
no like I had to like edit something out you guys don't even know this like this has been a train
wreck to record I'll be honest there was there's some choppiness when I started this episode
like and then I almost deleted the whole thing and I'm like fuck this I it's not this is just
not my day and then I just push through so I don't know what time we're at right now but I'm
drinking a diet dr pepper 10 17 a.m and I'm getting my hair done I'm getting a toner put in it I have
to pick up some dog food. Um, we switched over to Ollie instead of the farmer's dog. And, um,
anyways, so this is what's going on with my hair. Okay. This has been going on. Okay.
Let me think. Let me think before I speak. So everyone has quirks, right? Everyone has like,
oh I'm so quirky and cute because I do this thing or say this thing or like everyone has
like something about them that's like their quirk right my quirk and this is not me trying to be
like oh I'm so quirky and cute and like this is so like funny and like oh no this is ruining my life
this quirk of mine this quirk of mine is ruining my life and I can't figure it out and it's at this
point it's hilarious because every time it happens I'm just like I'm being punked like
someone is fucking with me in the god the simulation whoever's controlling my sim like
it is at the point now where I'm like and Corey's involved okay so this is the situation
I can clock it at starting in 2020 I can clock this happening starting in 2020 okay I get in
the shower I shampoo my hair I do my whole routine I wash my face I conditioner condition it
do the whole thing right and then you know everything's rinsed and great and then I get
out of the shower and then I like towel off and the moment this started in 2020 this is like
this happens 99% of the time I wash my hair, by the way. And I'm not exaggerating. Like this is
almost every single time. And this is also like, are you five years old? Like what's going on here
with, with your brain? Like, are you like, is this something, you know,
this is a little like spectrum of me. This is like very spectrum. I don't know what this is.
this might just be I don't know we're gonna find out together we're gonna talk this out we're gonna
like figure out what's going on here because this is not normal and okay so since 2020 after I do
the shampoo and conditioner and I like get out of the shower and like dry off nine out of ten times
I put the towel on my head to do my turban my towel turban with the wet hair I hear a little
I can't do it that's disgusting um I hear a little like
no this is not a bag of cocaine I know what this looks like it's my powder on my um
face puff thing for my shininess for this podcast I just keep it in this bag and then
I did take this to the cheese bar and I thought oh that looks a little suspect but it's just powder
um maybe maybe lean I think fit me this is what I hear every time I put the towel on my head
specifically on the right top half of my head
the girls they gotta get it what is this noise
soap what is this noise soap soap is left in my hair only at this upper right temple
location. Okay. 2020. Okay. What is that? Five years ago? Yeah. Right. Five, four, four and a
half, five. So I've been in multiple apartments. I've had different showers, different shower heads,
different pressures. It's not like the shower and the angle of the water hitting my head is a thing
Cause like, I've tried it all. I've like shifted my rod and I've changed the angle. Like, but it's
at the point now where it's like, this happens pretty much every time I wash my hair. Right.
It's at the point now where like, as I'm in the shower, I'm like standing there with the water
on this side of my head for like five minutes, Corey and I, like we shower together sometimes.
Like, I'm like, Hey, is it all out? Like, he's like helping me. He's like, yeah, I think we got
it. What do you, what happens when I, what happens when I go put the towel on my head?
soap soap still left in my effing temple region on this side like I don't understand it and I do
like when I curl my hair especially when like or dice in it uh this side of my hair or my like the
hair on this side seems thicker like I feel like I have more on this side so I'm like maybe there's
something to do it has something to do with that but I'm like what is it because think about it
I've lived in multiple places this is always a thing I'm like what is going on and it still
happens and then like the last two washes it's been Corey like now he's really aware of this
like he's like oh my god like what's going on with my wife like this is not like some like
something's off here like you know um but now we've kind of been laughing about it recently
and then what the fuck happens the last two washes the conditioner is left in the hair now I have the
soap and then a little conditioner left and I know I have long hair I know I have a lot of it but like
the fact that I go in the shower knowing this every single time and I do my best to try to like
get it all out and it's still there that's why I'm like I feel like I'm being punked like something
is like what is going on it's a little bit like I'm superstitious I'm like is this what is leaving
soap in your hair mean about you is that like a thing is that like a astrology thing like what
does that mean because yeah it's getting out it's like getting kind of weird and like
and but it makes me laugh every time I I get get out of the shower and I hear the little like soap
scum so what I usually do because I've this has happened hundreds of times at this point I
literally I'm like I'm not like sometimes I'll just like turn the shower back on really quick
and rinse it but like I just honestly towel it with like the towel and I like like crunch out
the soap a little bit I don't even know I'm like I just kind of judge it and it's fine like it
doesn't it's not like a ton of soap it's just enough where you're like there's it's just always
right on this temple area like upper portion of my head and I don't understand it and like that's
life update I'm I can't wash the shampoo out of my hair to save my life and I don't know why and
I'm bringing it up I'm bringing it up I might have talked about this before on the show but like
I'm bringing it bringing it up because it's like so consistent and it's so
random and like quirky and like huh you know like you're a grown-ass woman like what is going on
you know so um all right so speaking of being in our stoner phase something that
maybe I should play I'm just gonna fucking like I'm just gonna do like the audio for my phone I
don't care Megan Thee Stallion so anytime so and I have talked about this in the past
for some reason whenever I get stoned I always end up on rappers instagrams like deep on their
profiles watching every single video looking at every single picture like I get so in the
rabbit hole or I get so deep down the rabbit hole of rappers and their lives and I'm like so like
like just enamored by it like as I'm like highest like I'm just like this started in college like I
remember getting high in college and like ending up on Takashi69's Instagram like like it always
ended up like he was always my last stop like I'd be on like other rappers and then it'd be like
Takashi69 to end the night like I'd always just end up there so this last time or like recently
I got on Megan Megan Thee Stallion is she a rapper like technically yeah like a rapper singer
I got on her TikTok and I was like like this was my like night the other night uh just on her TikTok
watch or but I oh gosh hold on I don't want this to play but it was her voiceovers on her videos
that did it for me I was like I was laughing so fucking hard just the way she does her voiceovers
let me see if I saved one oh yeah I think this is her working out let me play this I don't care
i'm putting my phone in the microphone i know this is like come on you got you have better
technology than this but okay this was funnier when i was
this is not as funny as i thought it was but wait let me like play a little more
she's like working out in the gym my ass even though on high girl summer tour we was basically
doing uh 90 minutes of cardio every day these motherfucking waves bitch is taking me out the
game you can see right there i'm huffing and puffing because this goddamn gym finna blow me
down so anyways i told my trainer okay you know we got to keep the goddamn making these going he
said you know what so we're gonna do some invisible toilet seats one two three four five six seven
eight i know y'all see them goddamn uh quads popping bitch i said hold on sir let me let me
go you know what i mean like you can imagine why that would be funnier when you're stoned okay
anyways i like watched all of her videos with like the voiceover and i'm just like
yeah but i don't know what that is i it's always like rappers instagrams or their tiktoks like i
don't fucking know so okay I did that and then also I rediscovered like this is like you either
it's a look I feel like everyone I really like from YouTube or like social media
most of them have been canceled and for pretty good reasons or like you know like
like legitimate reasons right um not like well that's like up to
i don't know it's jeffree star shane dawson um trisha paytas like these og people like i'm not
super fans of them but i rediscovered shane dawson's series on like jeffree star do you
guys remember this back in like 2018 he made the conspiracy palette Shane and her like did a whole
like documentary on Jeffree Star's life he did it uh for Trisha he did it for Tana like he did this
series and I always like Shane for me Shane Dawson and Trisha Paytas back in the day like when I was
deep in my eating disorder and like hating myself and just feeling like super lost and like I didn't
like myself and I just when I was going through that like dark phase which was like most of my
20s but especially like in college and then right out of college like Trisha and Shane's personalities
and just the way they talked about themselves and the way they express themselves was so therapeutic
to me because I would just like be at home and I'd be like by myself in my little apartment
watching their YouTube videos just like binge eating like fucking whatever
and it was just like therapeutic to watch them talk about like their food struggle
struggles their body struggles and so anyways they always kind of like had a special place in my
heart and I just think they're extremely interesting entertaining people in general
like their their mannerisms like just the way they are like I don't know I just find them very I love
like honestly love them or hate them like I'm I'm always gonna be a big fan um but Jeffrey so I like
came across a Shane Jeffrey documentary video from I didn't see it yet it was about like the
new life of Jeffrey Starr about him moving to Wyoming and doing his whole like yak ranching
journey and like um making tiktoks and everything and people have been talking about jeffree star
and his tiktok situation his tiktok live situation like his tiktok
um like era he's in and after watching that shane dawson video from i think it was 2022
of when he had moved there and he's like I left LA I'm so over that lifestyle I'm so over that
like superficial fake like you know he had like the craziest mansion and like all the things like
he he made it like he bought everything he could ever buy bought the biggest house he
was like the Mr. Beast of well he's like the Mr. Beast of makeup YouTube right like he was
that guy like he climbed to the top and then you know the beauty industry's changed like YouTube's
changed a lot of things have changed and now it's like TikTok right so he was kind of saying that
he's like basically I don't love TikTok but I do it like this what you have to do now but
I don't know I just was watching him in that video with Shane and I feel like I think there's
a happy medium for Jeffree Star between LA and Wyoming and I don't think it's like full-on
yak rancher and when he says he's happy when he says like this is what he wants to do and this
is his dream I feel like I don't believe it like especially from that documentary something felt
like I can see he's definitely more calm and at peace and like this is definitely like a therapeutic
like doing the yak ranch ranching and living out in the literal middle of nowhere like
during the documentary like you see like around his farm and it's just like nothing I mean he has
like it's like a 10 mile dirt driveway like super Timbuktu out in the middle of nowhere
so I don't know I just like because people have been talking about Jeffree Star and his TikTok and
I see it too and it's kind of like if you're doing well like do you really need to be
plugging TikTok shop shit all day long and constantly being on TikTok live and
I don't know I feel like it was he's approaching TikTok like he did YouTube like you got to
conquer it you got to like you know max out your presence there and like I feel like the way he's
doing that is through the lives and like TikTok shop videos and like promoting his new product
launches like he's definitely doing that I think that's how he's thinking of it but it obviously
looks desperate it obviously looks like a little bit wacky for Jeffree Star to be doing that but
yeah I don't know I don't I don't really see I don't know it just seemed kind of like off like
his ranch in the middle of nowhere with all the yaks and then he's like we gotta do he was talking
to Shane he's like yeah you know I batch my content I make like 10 TikToks in a row so this
afternoon it's like he doesn't seem like happy saying that or doing that he liked he was saying
he liked the educational long-form YouTube videos but like nobody watches those anymore like
everyone's like, that's just not where the attention is. And it's kind of like, oh,
he has to do this Tik TOK thing. And I'm like, I don't know. Like he, I feel like he wasn't happy
saying that. I don't know. Um, so I almost feel like, well, he says like YouTube's he's going to
like quit YouTube or I don't know if he already did. I don't know when his last video was, but,
Um, I don't know. I just feel like TikTok for him, he needs to like, I don't know what he would
move on to just, just yak ranching and not, I don't know. He has a makeup company going back
to making YouTube videos. Like I, I sat and watched like all of his reviews, all of his
product launches. I was obsessed with Jeffrey back in the day. Like I still am like, I still
find his video. I pretty much watch like every TikTok, not every, but like if they come up,
I watch them and I just I love his personality I just I love his like people think he's it's so
weird when he gets like hated on I'm like I it's always like I always understand when people get
hate why they get it or why people don't like like I always understand it
but with certain people like certain influencers and celebrities I'm like
the they're hating the surface thing like they're hating like the low-hanging fruit they're hating
the thing that's like obvious that's like right there that's like you know and because of that
one thing they're basing their opinion of that person on that versus I feel like I see like the
thing that most people like hate on or like don't like and then I'm like okay I you know put a pin
in that and then i like i don't know i just like see people's i see the goodness like i i feel like
i have a ability to like see because i i think i can understand like with content creation and
putting yourself on the internet i understand when people come out come off as obnoxious or cringe or
extra or whatever you want to say like i understand they're doing that because it's
it's entertainment. Like I can, you know, so if that is, if that's why people hate you,
it's like, well, that's why they're watching it. Like, that's why that's what makes you money.
Like being a little, being a lot, you know, saying crazy shit and like,
so whatever. Anyways. Um, what's, what's this episode right now? Where are we at?
Yeah, I was watching it. Like, so yeah, I watched old YouTube videos. It was super therapeutic. Um,
cause for the most part, Corey and I sit down every night and we'll watch like Netflix or like
shows or like CNN. We love watching CNN right now and just watching how mad everyone is that
everything Trump's doing. It's so entertaining just to like, see how disgusted they are with
like every decision Trump is making. It's for them, like every night when they analyze like
the the latest Trump uh what like thing he's doing like what do you call it like camp uh
he's signing things to happen what do you call that I'm brain dead um yeah I don't know so we've
been watching but anyways we usually watch like Netflix or the news or sports and then the other
night I'm like no like I want to just go down the rabbit hole of like old YouTube videos so I was on
Shane's I was on Trisha's I was on Jeffrey's I was who else did I watch I was just watching
old YouTube videos and it's like oh that was like me when I was sad like that's what I used to like
lean lean on and those were the people I used to watch and it was kind of um full circle to like
sit there with Corey and he was he was getting a kick out of it he was actually like enjoying it
a little bit which is kind of fun to see um but okay so I'm not gonna read this article from the
oh Luigi Mangione's first public statement we have that a man getting swallowed by a whale
okay let's read Luigi's first public statement
so I think I asked the question last week like where the hell is Luigi Mangione what's going on
with his case like what's the latest I guess what's the date I think he has
he has a court appearance in a couple days i think the 17th i read i forget um but this is
the statement this is his first public statement like there's not a lot going on because he's like
sitting and waiting like you gotta like you know um so this is this is it so luigi mangioni says
he is grateful for the support he's received after being charged with murdering united health
care CEO, Brian Thompson. In a first public statement shared on a new website set up by
his legal defense team on Friday, February 14th, Mangione, he's 26, wrote, this is what he wrote.
I'm overwhelmed by and grateful for everyone who has written, everyone who has written me
to share their stories and express their support. Powerfully, this support has transcended political,
racial and even class divisions as mail has flooded mdc which stands for the metropolitan
detention center where he's currently behind bars as mail has flooded from across the country and
around the globe he continued while it is impossible for me to reply to most letters
please know that i read everyone that i receive added manjioni thank you again to everyone who
took the time to write I look forward to hearing more in the future so yeah he's getting fan mail
he's getting I wonder what people are writing to him although all the women you know all the leads
actually a lot of gay you know I had this okay I told it to Corey do I need to say it publicly
on podcast about why I think Luigi Mangione did it am I going to relate this to him being gay
and into black dudes
and is this going to be
Corey's calling me right now good timing okay
we're not going to do this right now
hi honey you're on the podcast
honey I just want to tell you I love you
and I'm very excited for
our fourth Valentine's Day
next year
363 days
left
364
four
we're on the 10 pole how are you playing pretty good we're like four under do you feel good like
are you confident yeah we just got to pick it up on the back nine did you scope out the competition
like is is there like stiff competition or is it like right now the leader's at six under so we
gotta step it up how are you putting putting uh so so we gotta make more putts make more putts
we gotta make more putts fairways and greens all right all right love you thanks hon okay bye
he saved me right there because what i was about to say is it's too uh
it's a little too effed up for for me to say publicly out loud um but i think maybe you
could read between the lines of what I said before Corey called so yeah that's Luigi's statement then
there's a kayaker that got swallowed by a whale now if you guys remember like three years ago or
was this 2023 what year was it um a couple years back a diver a lobster diver I believe
also got swallowed by a whale and spit out so which is crazy so basically like don't fear
like these humpbacks what are they humpbacks or blue what are they humpback whales um
they spit people out like you're good they'll like so far we're two for two the whales spit
you out um but yeah a kayaker his son i think filmed him i should play the video
his dad i think caught it on camera so a kayaker speaking out after he briefly found himself inside
the mouth of a whale adrian simon cos sim simon simon cos was with his dad dell interesting names
adrian are they what's adrian with an accent on the a dell his dad dell and they're in the
strait of magellan a tourist attraction in the chilean in chilean patagonia on saturday february
8th when he suddenly found himself inside the mouth of the humpback whale according to
the associated press so humpback whales i think the guy from a couple years back was also humpback
i believe footage of the encounter captured by dell the dad showed the kayaker quickly getting
scooped up in the massive animal's mouth and disappearing for a few seconds before
resurfacing a few yards away so this is his quote he says i thought i was dead
uh i thought it i thought it had eaten me that it had swallowed me when i turned around i felt my
face i felt on my face like a slimy texture i saw colors like dark blue white something
approaching from behind that closed and sink me. Ooh. At that moment, I thought there was nothing
I could do. So he said he felt like a slimy texture. This is why I don't fuck with the ocean.
Okay. Like period. I do not go in the ocean. I just don't, I don't care. I don't need to surf.
I don't need to swim. I don't need to snorkel. I don't need to be in the ocean other than,
you know up to my ankles like I even get nervous like when I'm waist deep like I just don't it's
not my home it's too sketchy it's too I feel way too vulnerable it's too un like what's beneath me
is way too unknown it's too like no you know it's it's it's for the fish it's not for the humans
okay it's for the fish it's not her home it's theirs so yeah anytime I see stories like this
or like shark attacks I'm just like you had it coming you know you're in the water it's not your
home I don't think I don't even fuck with lakes lakes are scary like lakes like when I would
like growing up when we'd go like tubing and shit and you'd fall off the tube and you had to wait
for the boat like I was so anxious about like just being in the middle of the lake I'm like
there's definitely gonna be a catfish biting my toes it was always like those white like just like
the catfish you would see on the side by the dock like or like the touching of the oh my god like
at summer camp like when you touch they always had like a carpet on the bottom of the swimming
section of the lake you know where they had like the shallower water area you know with like the
little like floaty what are those called like the buoy things that the rope the floaty rope to
section off but there's always like a a carpet thing on the bottom of the lake and when you
touch that it's so slimy and so like it feels like it's like fabric on your feet underwater
it's like it's like a wet sock and it's like and there's lily pads and like I just don't
fuck with water with water or lakes or like the only rivers oof rivers how do I feel about rivers
I like I like rivers rivers you know it's fresh rivers are fresh they're not scary
there's just like trout in there you know there's just it's like trout
it's a rarity that you see like a shark in a river right or like a whale in a river or what's
like scary in a river um really nothing like trout like trout don't scare me like when he
when you see like little fishies in the river it's like oh you know they're sweet like they're
they're friendly you know but the lake is terrifying because it's so deep and it's so
dark and you don't know what's down there and so there's that the ocean it's too big there's too
much going on it's too risky don't need it don't want to be in it I like being on top of water I
don't like being in water the river is where i'll take a dip i'll take a dip in a river what else do
we have pools i'm a pool bitch at the end of the day what did we just learn i'm a pool bitch put
me in a pool on a floaty i'm happy that's the only body of water i want to be in period like
when i see these whales eating people or there was this other video of this great white shark
chasing down a kayak I'm like just I have no interest you'll never see me jumping off a boat
either like off a yacht or something like oh let's just take a let's just do like a dip like I have
I would have to be so on drugs like I would have to be so out of it I don't even know what I'd have
to be on to get in the water you'd have to and at that point I'd probably just sink and die which
just like not the thing is is i'm a swimmer i grew up doing swim teams since i was in like fourth
grade i was a uh state swimmer in high school i was a varsity as a freshman this the first
letterman's jacket in my freshman class to be purchased with a varsity letter on it because
hi i went to state um for some team and immediately got that jacket and i really
wanted everyone to know that I was that bitch and I was also the strongest girl in the school
coined they coined that term or they said that about me because I took weight lifting as a
freshman and I lifted heavier than like anyone ever had and yeah so hi I'm
there's this thing called like your index and like the weight you are the height or something
divided by like your max weight of your clean your bench press and your squat like whatever
that number was you had to have a certain ratio or something to make the iron club and i was like
the first school first girl apparently in school history to make the iron club so cool but yeah
anytime i see these damn videos of people just the shark attack videos like i think about the
egypt shark attack once a month like i think about that guy waving for like calling his dad's name
and the boat comes up like like 10 seconds later just the thought of being bitten and like
I think about it too much I think I just we talked about this last week with like the plane crashes
and how I like have nightmares about just the moment of like you know like what the fuck does
that feel like and then is it like your neck slit and is it just your neck and then you're bleeding
out or are you like does your leg get amputated by like the propeller of the helicopter like I
don't know like I think about like really specific details of dying in horrible ways and I just like
when I see stuff on the news like I just you know what I stopped doing though oh my god I stopped
this like after October 7th you know like I was down the rabbit hole pretty bad but like those
are videos and images you can't unsee and it's like to the point where and this is gonna sound
so fucked up but it's like to the point where you're like i didn't even know a human body could
do that when it gets all blown to bits you know like you see like yeah there's one image from
coming out of gaza that haunts me like i i think about it like if i i'm thinking about it now i i
like block it out like i just can't you know but um there's one of it was when they were
there was like tents right and they're like taking there's like a tent where like
live kids are going and then the dead kids are going and the dead like body parts are being set
it's so just talking about this is like I you know like I get so like fuck it's like it works
me up but um just a dad holding two limbs and he's like these were my kids basically and you're just
like you know it's like a good thing to see like I mean no it's like it's not like you never need
to see that like it's bad for me like I get I just um with like really graphic death images and
videos like it helps me understand the situation better obviously and it helps me like really see
it for what it is versus like just hearing about it it's like you really can like see for real
what's going on so like that part I guess is helpful to like comprehend war but then for me
I can't unsee these images like I get like the flashbacks you know I get like you know and it's
just I don't know if that's good for the brain like for me at least so I don't have a really
good relationship with death and dying by the way like I just don't like thinking about it talking
about I feel like for most for the most part no one does but like for me it's like I get really
uncomfy and like yeah so let's move on like I don't even like talking about the fact that I
have a thing with that um so I have okay so the kayaker Luigi statement we're gonna wrap it up
with the cut article basically this article came out and then people on reddit were like look we
made the news or whatever they're like oh they're talking about us so it's the the cut came out with
an article february 12th it's called uh meet the redditors who spend hours snarking on influencers
five people explain what they get out of trash talking creators they love to hate so
I've kind of told this story before about my reddit snark journey or my reddit snark obsession
or like my unapologetic obsession with reading reddit snark about influencers and celebrities
like I always heard about reddit I always knew reddit was a thing but I never downloaded the
app I never really dove into it like it was something I heard about but I never like firsthand
you know participated in so I don't know like a year or so ago I download reddit and you get fed
like random stuff and I don't know why I was like getting a lot of like pop culture and like gossip
stuff and I was like oh this is like a thing right then I came across like NYC influencer snark
LA influencer snark and I was like snark like what's that like I guess when I think about it
like I listen to podcasts and they talk about snark pages a lot and I'm like I always hear
snark but I don't know what it means but then at that moment when I saw these reddit uh like pages
I was like oh I get it now so this is people these pages have anonymous accounts like posting
gossip positive or negative honestly like there's a mix usually there's a mix mostly probably
negative but they're anonymous anonymously commenting on influencers and what they're
posting and what they're saying and what they're so it as a creator myself as a podcast host I
think and just as someone who is really curious about human behavior and psychology and why people
are the way they are I find it extremely entertaining to see how the public people
that aren't, that aren't creators, aren't influencers, how they perceive and how they're,
um, how they're receiving what content creators post and like their perception of it. And it's
like, because I don't know, I just think it's juicy. It's interesting. Cause,
and then my take on it and something I've always said is that,
you know, when people say something about you, there's probably some truth in it,
even if it's negative, right? Like you should consider other people's opinions of you.
I think it's healthy to do that. I don't think it's healthy to just be a bulldozer
and do whatever the fuck you want and not take into consideration your audience, right? Like
that's my whole point with Reddit snark. I'm like, if more influencers and more creators
kind of took, you know, swallowed their ego a little bit, sucked it up. Like the thing is about
content creation and social media and like putting yourself out there you have to have a thick skin
you have to be you have to accept and it's not for everyone right like not everyone's cut out for it
like I feel like most influencers when they hear about like snark pages and reddit they like shut
it down they're like I don't read that or like that's so toxic or that's so they like don't want
anything to do with it because it makes them feel so disgusted or so bad about themselves or sad or
they're like that's a bunch of people with sad lives and they always are like oh I I feel so bad
for these people that feel like they need to go online and post hate you know they always make
that statement which like I get it right but I feel like you have to have a thick skin you have
to be honestly like just okay and just like it's part of the job like comfortable with people
talking shit about you and like saying because if you think about it like when you hang out with
your friends when you're talking to your mom like when you're whatever hanging with your buddies
your girlfriends whatever like we all gossip it's how we bond especially women right like we all end
up talking about people we have a little like we say our little two cents about how they are and
how they act and like that's just a common like you know it's it's a low vibration right it's low
energy it's like low level shit at the end of the day like gossip is not the healthiest thing but
we bond over it right we it because people we've like but it's a whole like oh people who talk
about people there's people that talk about the future and like they like like there's like
different tiers of like I don't know anyways that's like a separate thing that's that's like
a business quote or something there's like anyways so like it's just online right it's written and
it's on Reddit versus like talking in person and so it's all the same shit it's just like
a trash magazine like I used to grow up my grandparents always had like what was it like
okay magazine or like star magazine these like newspaper like tabloid like gossip
mags at that time it was like always like pictures of people's cellulite and this person's too skinny
this person's too fat and this person's getting divorced and this person had an affair it was
always like that kind of gossip right on these magazines and my grandparents always had them in
their bathroom like so I like growing up I'd always read them so I compare it to that right
we all get it we all know what it is I don't need to like keep explaining but my whole take is like
if more influencers and you gotta like be yourself live your life do what you're gonna do but
I think we need to course correct the cringe in 2025 I think we need to course correct the
the out of touch, fake, cringe, obnoxious, self-absorbed, entitled influencer culture.
Like, I think it's, we need to like, you're not, but that's what you're rewarded for.
That's what the algorithm rewards you for as a content creator. You're rewarded for all of that.
You're, you're, that's what people like the audience, the audience that follows you, like
thrive, like they love the messiness, right?
They love that shit.
So you're not rewarded for having your life together.
You're really not.
You're rewarded.
Like, and I find myself like the more obnoxious I am, the more crazy, the crazier I talk,
the crazier, like the, you know, it's entertainment at the end of the day.
So that works for the algorithm.
I'm just saying that we're kind of maxing that out we're maxing out oversharing we're maxing out
saying everything you think publicly we're maxing out like being unapologetically yourself and
not giving like not caring and doing everything for the plot like it's getting a little we're
doing it too much like I feel I feel like people need to scale back and so yeah with reddit and
the snark it's like I feel like that's what the public is saying they're just like these people
are so out of touch they don't see themselves they're so unaware of how they are like as a
follower of them like a lot of these reddit snarkers are genuine fans of these people like
they're genuine like they want to root for this person they they see like the goodness they see
the potential but they're like they're just so unaware of the bad shit they post and like they're
so and it's like it's right there you know so if that person like you just gotta like
yeah evolve a little more as an influencer I don't know maybe I can I always like think like
what could I do I don't know so I just yeah I like snark pages on reddit I don't care
sue me say it's toxic whatever I think it's interesting um but yeah the culture of influencers
is so it's like beautiful it's a lot of people expressing themselves being themselves doing what
they love being creative living their dream life like that's I think there's so much beauty in it
but then the common personality that comes along with the influencer world is like
it's like that self-obsessed narcissistic
entitled like it just comes with all that and it's like I don't know I feel like it's
harder and harder to find people that are just like fucking real down to earth they're not full
of shit and um yeah so I don't know it's interesting I'll admit this because and this
might be kind of fucked up but like something that's kind of helping me and like
like commentary on bad parenting like that's really interesting to read and I know it's all
you should never judge another parent because they're doing the best they can whatever you
can say that like but I've learned a lot about parenting and raising babies especially through
reddit snark like the stuff things that I wouldn't think of or like like moms commenting on other
moms momming like is so interesting on reddit it's like oh like it gives you an insight into
the way people approach yeah parenting and raising babies and um what they deem is appropriate or not
and you learn yeah you can learn a lot through reading these forums so I'm into it I don't care
um is there anything else I could say about it I think we hashed it out and I honestly feel like I
was very repetitive with that segment like I've kind of talked about reddit snark for a while now
like I've consistently talked about it and so I kind of feel like I was repeating myself there but
um I even thought of like an angle or like a like a not a series maybe a series
or maybe the whole entire direction of my show could be like I'm gonna be the voice of Reddit
snark and I'm gonna read names and I'm gonna read what like influencer names and like what
the public is saying about them on reddit snark like but then it's like i will burn every bridge
to every opportunity that i would ever like it's a testy thing to do you know it's testy and i just
feel like and especially with la influencers new york influencers the podcasting um world um
it's really i was telling this to cory and i'm like people like
it's a lot of um whose side are you on you know like with Brianna Chicken Fry and Zach Bryan like
that happened and then she was like a uh total like uh asshole to her best friend uh Grace and
everyone's like well fuck Brianna they're on her side because fuck Zach Bryan and then they're like
well fuck Brianna because what she did to Grace and now everyone's team Grace and everyone's like
rah-rah Grace and then Grace goes on like call her daddy I think and then now she's signed to
that whole situation it's like okay so if you like holler daddy if you like that world like
you like grace you don't like brianna and then it's like drama now with alex earl and like unwell
and like that number the network she was signed to with alex cooper and it's like there's just a lot
of like side taking and like it's it's very i feel like people just blow with the wind whatever
is like popular and like whoever's trending and if they were wronged for two minutes you're on
their side and if they wrong someone else you're off their side and it's just like a lot of that
and it's like at the end of the day we don't know these people like we don't even you know we can
make decent judgments or like best our best guess from what they post and the stories we hear about
them like that's pretty normal and obviously natural to do but it's just like I don't want
to be a part of that like I just I don't like I I just don't like the drama that comes with all of
it and it's just all like stupid it's just all like high school shit right like at the end of
the day like high school never ends and um yeah it's just the side taking is crazy it's like
some people are like like even with Dave Portnoy and Portnoy and Barstool and like
people like love Dave and there's people like fuck Dave you know and like they're the same people
it's like there's so many um overlapping
like love and hate between like the same people like you could have two trying to like phrase
this right like you might be friends with someone in the industry who hates Dave Portnoy and like
loves who's like his I don't know but then you're like friends I don't know how to explain it like
you it like you're um you don't hate and love the same people it's all mixed up I feel like
everyone's like mixed up like and confused I don't I'm confused I'm confusing myself as I'm
saying this okay I need to end the show I mean like come on but you get the point like um
it's hard to keep track and I just feel like with now now as I'm getting older let's kind of like
round this out I started in the beginning saying like oh I think I'm maturing I'm seeing like
people post for Valentine's Day when they're single and it makes me cringe and I'm like
I'm so like it's almost like I feel like an old person looking at young people and like their
behavior and what they do and I'm like oh like they're so young and dumb and stupid like I feel
I'm like 30 saying that that's like how I perceive it you know it I think it's because I just see a
lot of dumb Southern California shit that's like its own bubble you know and it makes me like
fuck you know oh shit people really have the peter pan syndrome thing here and it's like
i don't know i hate the internet i'm on the internet i hate the internet okay um

And I hope what's going, what's going on? Are we, we're midway through Feb.
Hope you had a great Valentine's day. Um, so we're, we're not going to end the show.
I want to like hash out this thought I have. I feel like I'm not done yet on, um,
damn. It's like, sometimes I'm like, I wish I think I would think things through before I record.
because then I can like have a round thought but now I'm like spiraling thinking about the
same thing right now and I'm like how do I want to like say this um I don't know it's just
it's interesting how the world works now with social media and like I
my entire dating life single life was during the time of Instagram social media and Snapchat and
like it's hard it's like you can't it's like you you want to be like I just remember the days when
I'm trying to attract in me I'm married now like we get that I've said it a million times hi I'm
married off the off the market I'm not available like during the years of me trying to attract a
partner you kind of like fall into this pattern of trying to put your best face and body forward
and take hot pics and show yourself online to men and you're like look at me and then that's on your
dating profile on the dating app and like there's like this rhythm to it all and
I think subconsciously I feel like it I think it's sad when it's like you're doing it way into
your 30s because I'm like I think I have this like complex with that because I'm like
we've been I'm like girl we've been doing this you've been doing this since you're 22 like give
it up like maybe don't go on the internet I don't know like maybe delete your social media do a
different route like to get a guy or like because it's like what are you doing it for I guess for
yourself I do it for myself see here's the spiral I'm like I don't know sometimes I'm like we need
to hang it up as women like we need to like be more private be more like reserved not be as
public with how we're trying to attract I don't know because to me like I think it's only if I
know the person isn't 21 I'm like oh I like it makes me like oh it's kind of sad but I don't
think they think that about themselves they're just like oh I'm hot whatever I'm just jealous
they're single and they're like I don't fucking know like what is this complex like I always have
like these internal monologues with myself where I'm like what is that and what does this mean
and then it's like why do I care so with this whole like monologue about like
single people being cringe posting on valentine's day
I'm always like live and let live do whatever you want at the end of the day like who am I to say
anything like I did it too I still kind of do it like I understand what I post is probably so
cringe to so many people like I embrace I understand that's part of what I do here but
sometimes I'm like with the dating content with like or not content with the with like single
dating stuff like The Bachelor like it all makes me cringe now and I think it's just because I'm
on the other side and when I see it I'm like oh it just maybe to me it's like oh it just comes
across so desperate now I think it's like I don't like seeing people's desperate single energy
because I'm like oh like I used to be like that and I think it makes me disgusted at my younger
self so I'm like seeing myself in these people I think that's what it is I'm seeing myself in
these people and I'm like I can't believe I used to be that way and I'm like they're gonna say that
about themselves when they're all like on the other side someday if they get there you know
like hopefully like if that's what they want for their life like we get whatever but it kind of is
that I think that's what we just figured out which is kind of like a weird mental and I I'm like oh
that's maturity or oh that's like how like older people feel about younger people probably but
I'm not necessarily like older I'm just in a different life chapter and I'm like seeing
things differently so that's cool yeah we talked it out yeah I already did my plugs yeah this is
the end of the end of the episode yeah this is probably too long for i don't know um we talked
about the ouija statement okay the kayaker that got swallowed by the whale my stoner phase my
sourdough starter update seeing flight risk not washing the shampoo out of my hair my target
neat situation the uneventful super bowl this year my hispanic uber driver um
shane dawson jeffree star reddit snark megan stallion getting stoned and looking on rappers
social media profiles okay this is the episode it is what it is thanks for hanging out love you
