Episode Date: October 11, 2025

It’s spooky season, Taylor Swift dropped another album yet again, and the fans are divided on whether she’s in her flop era or just a regular woman evolving into her 30's who loves d*ck and ca...n't help but write about it. In this episode, I give my official review and opinion on Taylor Swift, what I actually think of the new record, how the marketing didn’t match the product, and what her latest era says about where she’s at creatively.I riff on the loudest critiques out there, dig into fan breakdowns and commentary clips, and give my unfiltered take on the sound, lyrics, and rollout. Plus, I read a few scary Reddit stories and I share some weekly highs, lows, and lessons along the way.REVIEW THE SHOW ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ https://open.spotify.com/show/4ijzUBunTIHgVmahB0ISEN BECOME A PATRON! https://www.patreon.com/tjms KEEP IN TOUCH!INSTAGRAM » https://www.instagram.com/jacquelinemonroe/ TIKTOK » jacqueline.monroe EMAIL THE SHOW! tjmsshow@gmail.com MY MUSIC GUYhttps://soundcloud.com/robmonmusic SPONSORSSpotify for Podcasters

Starting point is 00:00:00 taylor swift the world's favorite little 35 year old white girl's new album is out and for the first time in the history of this podcast i will be revealing my honest thoughts on taylor swift so starting off really strong this is how her album should have sounded okay life of a showgirl the title of the album we're starting off strong today we're going right into the life of a show girl. We're going right into Taylor Swift, uh, talk because you guys, I have a, I'm not going to say my opinion yet, but I am a changed woman. You might be surprised to hear that. Um, but yeah, the, the life of a show girl, the album title, I think right off
Starting point is 00:01:12 the bat, we can admit the marketing, the album title does not match the product. Okay. I think we were all a little bit like, what the fuck with these songs? Like we were waiting for that jazz, that brass, that flapper girl, feathery energy, you know, and we got what a lot of people are saying are, what do they call them? Like discarded tracks or like bonus tracks or forgotten tracks from previous albums like the album was kind of like a blur of songs that kind of all sound the same in a way like people are disappointed with the sound because of the way it was marketed with her and the jewels and the flapper girl outfits and the show girl the show girl outfits right like I think everyone was like this is gonna be a bop like this is gonna be a banger
Starting point is 00:02:07 album like oh my god it's gonna be awesome big bold amazing like ready for Broadway like I don't know I don't really um okay here's the truth by the way I'm bloated um my face has never looked more fat um I drank two DIY electrolyte packets before bed last night for no, I forgot. The thing is, is they taste so good that I was, I was like, I want another one, you know? And then that's literally like a tablespoon of salt in my system. Um, anyways, so I'm feeling bloated. I'm feeling tired. I'm feeling fat. Um, it's fall it's October 8th. It's nine 17 AM. Didn't hit the gym. Didn't hit the sauna to sweat this out also I'm not really into the sauna right now because part of my fall we'll get to
Starting point is 00:03:02 Taylor Swift part of my fall um like routine my fall girly routine is um self-tanner and I'm just like I'm just I literally said out loud to Corey I was like I refuse to be pale and pasty this fall like I yeah so I'm self-tanning I'm not in the sauna so I'm holding on to the water and um it's a lot I didn't work out so I'm drinking let's get to the drinks we'll get to Taylor Swift you guys slept like shit we're still co-sleeping with Louie um this is me just getting into the groove of podcasting by the way I'm not gonna do 50 takes I'm just gonna own that intro about Taylor Swift We'll get back to it, okay? I'll keep riffing on my opinions and how I'm a changed woman after listening to this album and for another reason about Taylor Swift or related to Taylor Swift. so but let me get in the groove we're drinking um the slate protein ultra protein high protein
Starting point is 00:04:11 milkshake chocolate flavored 42 grams of protein these are the shit and honestly it's so crazy I used to be like anti-dairy and now I'm just like eating dairy on top of like I'm having cottage cheese for breakfast I'm having did I just do that tongue thing I hate when I do that okay we're not gonna care um I do this like it reminds me of like a lizard catching a fly or something on a on a plant like the way I loop my tongue around a straw on this podcast when I drink like you've I I'm insecure about it and I've talked about it before but like I think I just of that yeah I mean I'm eating like whole milk cottage oh my god whole milk cottage cheese for
Starting point is 00:05:02 breakfast protein shakes that are straight up filtered milk this is ultra filtered milk so I guess that's better for your system I don't have I'm not lacto I don't have a lactose issue and then it's like cheese throughout the day sometimes I have like a little cheese and cracker situation I'm just eating wait what other dairy am I eating creamer I just had this chobani creamer in my pumpkin spice Trader Joe's cold brew coffee I immediately drank at 5 a.m. upon waking up because I'm like it's 5 a.m. I'm gonna podcast early this is the earliest I think I've started the show in a minute it's 9 20 yeah it's 9 a.m. that's crazy usually I'm doing this at like 11 30 and I'm pissed because what happens at 12 30 nap time I'm still doing that anyways so yeah had the
Starting point is 00:05:50 i'm drinking the chobani creamer the cheese the cottage cheese the what other i'm having what other dairy uh varieties are there i'm like what else is dairy yogurt oh my god i've been doing like greek yogurt um and i put like protein powder in it like whey plus the protein or plus plus the dairy from the so yeah lots of dairy on board in my life right now um feeling bloated still i it's probably from the dairy i don't really know it's probably from all the electrolytes um you guys know that like I was I am in okay my entire personal brand of 2025 has been like I'm skinny I'm on a GLP-1 I've never felt this snatched I love my GLP-1 medication I'm pro taking it even if it's for vanity reasons like there's more it's it's more than just a weight
Starting point is 00:06:43 loss drug like there's so many benefits that go beyond weight loss like I've been sleeping better it's keeping my blood sugar levels down which is like good because like that's what causes diseases and shit like I don't know like when you're storing fat and your whole your you have like spikes in your insulin it's like bad for your it's oxidative stress it's so like I'm just and what other benefits have I noticed like just self-confidence like losing a few pounds like just makes you feel better so like anyways that's my that's been my entire brand so I'm feeling very insecure today being on camera and you're probably like what the fuck like your arms look so jacked like you're I'm showing arms today by the way you're not bloated at all but like I'm
Starting point is 00:07:22 feeling insecure about my face being fat I feel like you guys Taylor Swift on what interview was that she got she got something done okay we all can agree like she's getting some work done she's 35 you know she's no longer 16 so like physically now emotionally spiritually I think she's still there and we can all um probably agree on that based on the lyrics of this life of a showgirl album but anyways I'm feeling puffy like she did on that one interview and god bless her I mean you know we're all trying to do our best but um anyways that's kind of the state of the union right now the state of my how I'm feeling physically um yeah I'm just I'm not working out as much and I'm not necessarily eating healthier. Um, but I'm still on the
Starting point is 00:08:18 GLP one, but I'm like, I might up my dose this fall. I don't know. We're going to figure it out. So back, we'll, we'll get back to Taylor Swift. Um, cause I have some thoughts obviously, and we're going to get into that, but this is what we're going to do today. Okay. Let's just start off strong with my, we're going to do, okay. We're going to do like, there is a reason why I work out in the morning. Okay. And it's literally for my cognitive function. Okay. I should have worked out before I recorded today. Okay. I'm going to do my screen time. I'm going to do my, uh, let's do my aura ring stats. Okay. Cause I slept like shit. We're co-sleeping with our bulldog, Louie. We continue to do this every single night, even though we
Starting point is 00:09:13 sleep like shit and we wake up five times a night. Um, it's affecting everything. That's probably why I'm that this happened last episode. I was like, Oh, I slept like shit. And, uh, it's cause we were sleeping with our bulldog, but it's like worth it. Cause it's so, he's such a cute little cuddly teddy bear and like okay not bad 79 uh my readiness score is 79 I'm just kind of used to having like good to average scores if that makes sense like I used to get like solid 95s like if you're an aura ring girly like you know what I'm talking about if you're not part of the aura ring community this is going to be confusing but like you basically get you get a sleep score out of 100 every day and then you get a readiness a readiness score if you've had a whoop strap before it's kind
Starting point is 00:10:03 of like that but solid seven hours and 10 minutes of sleep wait a minute this is all like in the blue so I'm doing this on the podcast for fun like just for fun to like feel connected to you I can't do this episode I'm gonna re-record it trying to build a parasol social relationship and by sharing intimate information about my health okay feeling fat feeling bloated uh telling you that telling you I slept like shit checking my statistics you know what we're gonna go into my screen time next because that nothing will make you feel more connected to me right now than me telling you how much time I'm actually on my phone and I'm going to turn it on the, I'm going to show the camera and go to YouTube or Spotify to watch.
Starting point is 00:10:56 Um, so I'm not lying, right? Daily average. It's 15% down from last week, five hours and 38 minutes showing the camera again, go to YouTube or Spotify to watch you guys. My favorite podcast, the toast with Claudia and Jackie. Hi, I'm a toaster. Hi. I listen every day. Um, they just became or they just uh their podcast just became available on video on Spotify video and I'm like that made me feel so good about myself because like when they rolled that out and I feel like a lot of podcasts that are big like don't I don't know how you because because I just got offered to do it by Spotify they were like hey we're rolling out this video for Spotify, um, for our, for our podcasters. And like, I don't know, maybe they just like
Starting point is 00:11:47 grouped some of the, you know, the smaller ones with the bigger ones. And they're like, Hey, you guys can be on video on Spotify. But I guess for them, it was a big deal or they were making it sound like a big deal that they got on Spotify video. And I was like, I've been on Spotify video for a long time. So like they're my inspo, um, numbers wise, chart topping wise, just all over, business podcast of a business of podcasting wise but like yeah when I saw that I was like I'm I've been doing this and um I'm you know small potatoes over here compared to you but like that made me feel good about myself so yeah you can watch me on YouTube or Spotify um make sure you subscribe while you're there um follow my Instagram and TikTok
Starting point is 00:12:30 Jacqueline Monroe let's just do the plugs Jacqueline Monroe everywhere on social media the Jacqueline Monroe show on YouTube you can watch me there subscribe to the channel please subscribe and if you want to support the show patreon.com slash tjms patreon.com slash tjms okay we did this sleep sleep score we did the screen time we talked about my health we we teased Taylor Swift um we're gonna go week high week low fall fact of the day niche fall fact of the day actually and this is regarding um this was taylor swift inspired taylor swift wood uh lyrics her new song wood lyric inspired um because she was making dick joke after her entire album is like penis this penis that dick dick dick cock cock balls redwood trees hard cock knock on wood
Starting point is 00:13:29 fuck me open my thighs fuck me harder I'm being fucked properly now I have I'm I'm getting nine inches 200 how many centimeters 23 centimeters every night up I'm I can take it you know like I'm getting fucked um I should be doing this more okay fuck fuck fuck penis cock balls it's like, I'm an a**hole now with my husband, my fiance, Travis Kelsey, f**k yeah, f**k these small men that I've been improperly being f**ked by these past years, I'm getting d**ked down right now, and so, like, with that in mind, the fact of the day was inspired by Taylor Swift's lyrical ensemble of dick imagery. Um, and, and from the life of a show girl during the short days of autumn, the testicles of a male Siberian hamster can swell up to 17 times their normal size.
Starting point is 00:14:29 Do not Google images of this. It will traumatize you. There's your fact of the day. Thank you. I'm getting into it now. We're getting into it. Okay. So week high and week low. Let's start low. Okay. Let's start low because it's so disgusting what I experienced this week. And I don't, I'm like thinking about it and I can smell it again my week low was cooking pudding okay cutting open the bag of my ribeye and my New York strip that I eat the ribeye Corey eats the New York strip slicing the back open of the two steaks for dinner putting avocado oil in my cast iron skillet slicing open the you guys probably know where this is going the packages and noticing that one of them was a very deep
Starting point is 00:15:40 purple color and I'm like well this is organic grass-fed so it's like this was Sprouts brand steak by the way so I'm like oh like based on all the years of listening to Joe Rogan like the darker the meat the more nutrients more nutrient dense elk meat elk elk elk dark dark dark good good good health health health iron iron vitamins vitamins superfood steak steak steak carnivore diet carnivore diet I only eat steak I only eat okay so I'm like thinking positively about the dark meat and how purple this particular steak was and so the other one was kind of it was more of a normal shade of steak red okay and um it's giving like fall red right like you're like my previous fall nail color I'm rocking like baby pink right now but um didn't think anything of it
Starting point is 00:16:30 I get that avocado oil super super hot like I always do when I cook steak you gotta get that nice seal going with avocado oil and the cast iron and then the steak meat right so the steak meet the fucking yeah so I take the steak and I put it in the oil with my tongs and immediately no immediately no immediately dead animal roadkill rotten flesh ed gein uh gutting women up hanging them like the scent of what his home who's watching monsters who's watching the story of Ed Gein like that kind of vibe like the stench of the the organs just permeating his home from the bodies he butchered up and what so the scent of the so basically I took the package out of the garbage now one thing about my kitchen that I love one of the best
Starting point is 00:17:39 things you know I might just do an entire podcast episode on like what to look for when you're buying a home and like the the things that are super that like until you are actually living in the home like you don't realize how great these features are or like you know I have I have pre-home buying thoughts like what what you should look for but then once you're like in the home things that are so functional and like smart to have and like things that make life so much easier anyways my garbage can is right next to my sink and right next to my oven so it pulls out like a drawer and it's just like chop chop chop if I'm like chopping vegetables I just chop chop chop and then I can like sweep it in the garbage all like the the onion uh wrappings or the the rice
Starting point is 00:18:27 paper that goes around the whatever the fucking onion layering shit is like I you know I can like throw that in the garbage right away it's like you can just like scrape stuff in there and so I pulled out let me get to the steak the roadkill scent permeating the kitchen pulled out the the package and I just gave it a little sniff test I haven't smelled that smell when's the last time I smelled that smell that was from that was like a childhood memory just possums on the side of the road or dead chickens getting hit by cars and just laying on the road for a few hours you know that scent of
Starting point is 00:19:12 death um I feel like I've smelled it more recently than that though yeah it's a very specific smell so basically I took the package I sniffed it like an idiot smelled like shit I'm like oh yeah yeah this something's off but I got this steak from Sprouts like a week before so I was like oh it's good it's not expired nope it was two weeks expired somehow or a week so like the date I bought the steak it was pretty much expired and it wasn't on sale it wasn't labeled with that like oh butcher bonus discount or whatever like 25% off today like expires tomorrow like it wasn't one of those situations so I was like pissed I was like fuck you know it was like a nice steak and I hate throwing stuff away and wasting and I was just pissed about that too
Starting point is 00:19:55 and anyways I threw out the steak and then I immediately put it in our dumpster you know our garbage in it and I was like the house smells like shit and it took so long to get that scent out of the home this is my week low so steak rotten steak is my week low um yeah no amount of candles no amount of hypochlorous acid spray which by the way if you're not on the hypochlorous acid train because of skin by kristin from tiktok get on it okay i'm telling you like all of these branch basic brands these clean sprays these i don't know seventh generation you can get it like target like the clean marketed clean disinfecting products out there all suck okay they're they're they're fine they're fine but
Starting point is 00:20:46 like you hypochlorous acid and honestly rubbing alcohol if you're following skin by kristin you you know like you understand what i'm saying hits different it actually makes your house smell like like fresh clean like scentless like and there's like a little chlorine scent to the hypochlorous acid that is so satisfying if it smells like i'm trying to think like the smell It's like, kind of like when you walk into like a YMCA and you can like smell the swimming pool, but it's like, it's like a clean vibe. Like that's how my house smells with the hypochlorous acid. So like, but no amount of that was masking their rotten steak scent. I was using my Palo Santo wood and I was like whipping that around. And yeah, so that was my week low. I mean along the lines of rotten meat I got a pap smear that wasn't really a week that that was I was gonna say maybe a week high because I'm alive I'm a woman I'm going to the doctor I'm getting my shit checked out like I by the way they say like oh if you get a positive like if you're good
Starting point is 00:21:53 you get a pap smear and you it comes out good like you don't need to go for another five years I'm like fuck I'll go twice a year like I am such a more is more bitch with my women's health stuff and I go every single year it's like literally every single October that's what I'm doing my appointments and um was it a week low or a week high I'll say it's a week high you know those cold tongs those cold clamps going up there uh you know that's a sensation I don't get all the time I'm not used to I'm used to like something warmer inside of me and um yeah it was giving uh Ed Gein only being able to get aroused by cold bodies and how he had dunk his what was her name Adeline in a nice bucket to you guys I am this is a this is a mental exercise this
Starting point is 00:22:45 podcasting thing I do it's a brain game it's like a it's like a fun activity so now I'm having fun I'm getting into the weeds here. Ed Gein, the butcher of Plainsville, Wisconsin. There's a Netflix series. If you're, if you're not familiar out right now, it's, um, a Ryan Murphy. Is that his name? Uh, show he's made the Dahmer series. He's made the monsters with the Menendez brothers series. And now he's got this Ed Gein one. I had no idea who Ed Gein was, but basically there's a scene where he um wants to bang his uh Jezebel Jezebel the fucking mom kept saying she's a Jezebel she's a Jezebel and you're going to hell if you get with the Jezebels and like anyways it was his cute chick that was also into like dark like death and gore shit like he was so that's
Starting point is 00:23:42 how they like clicked and um she felt seen and heard and understood by him because he was like into it too but like into it so much so that like he wanted well he you know he killed people and like did awful things to them but he could not get aroused or like into like into it unless she was like literally cold like he's used to fucking dead bodies or the cold that are cold and so he made this poor little girl because his girl girlfriend like getting an ice bath you know so um the the the cold tongs at the gynecologist uh that sensation was a week high the cold tongs clamping me down there and uh it was it was you know they always get weird the thing about the gynecologist they always get a little weird like the appointment's going well you're just like
Starting point is 00:24:34 going over like your current health stuff your woman stuff whatever and then it's time to do the pap smear and they're like kind of getting like a little quick with how they're talking and everything's very like matter of fact and we're you know I'm touching you now or like I'm like here are my fingers like she's like fingers are here I'm okay is this okay like do you it's all very you know medical and very matter-of-fact robotic but there was something weird like we were totally like hitting off being girls you know like talking about my giant like just talking about everything and then like she does it and then when she was done it was so like she felt awkward and I'm like what did you see down there like what were you like why are you feeling
Starting point is 00:25:18 awkward now like I'm because I'm just not that way I'm very like I'm not you know they make you like put the gown on which is fine but then they're like you cover your legs with this this like really shitty paper it's like low quality um paper it's like this giant napkin and you lay on your lap while you put your feet in the stirrups, I'm like, I don't fucking need that, I don't fucking care, like, I kind of want to see what you're doing, you know, like, I don't, I only do this once a year, it's kind of fun, anyways, she was getting real, like, hot and heavy after or something, I was like, it's all good, like, she just, their disposition, like, kind of, for me, at least, like, changes, and I'm like, what do they witness when they go down
Starting point is 00:26:00 there that they're, like, taken back by, like, maybe it's just, like, making them flustered, and I mean she was like blush I'm kidding but like she's been doing it for like over 20 years I'm like why are you being awkward like I'm not being awkward you know like why you're the doctor like why are why do I feel like you were being awkward at the end of this it was very like quick she like ended it and it was just like okay and she like left the room she's kind of like yeah so that was my week high I guess um week high week low we did it rotten meat pap smear honestly the ed gein documentary was kind of a week low because i just don't think that's good for our brains to be seeing that kind of gore and like i didn't
Starting point is 00:26:40 need to see these preserved vulvas in a shoebox okay on my 4k 80 inch however fucking big we have the biggest tv you can buy tv um it's so funny when we install the tv or when we nevermind. Um, it's just so funny. I hope like Corey, Corey will be adamant about something. Not like, like he'll be like, no, like there's no way that would fit that. There's no way we can get helmet. How big is it? 80 inches. Is that, that sounds wrong. 80 inch TV, 80 inch TV. is that what it is it's huge yeah I'm pretty sure it's 80 but he was adamant like there's no way this is gonna fit on that wall and I am I was just like without measuring I'm like because his parents have one it's identical to ours and I'm like there's I can totally picture
Starting point is 00:27:41 there's here and it would fit anyways it fit and there's room to spare so hi I'm a construction worker hi I'm a I'm a I don't know oh how we're doing um so yeah that Ed Gein documentary fucked me up trying to think dude this actor Charlie Hunnam Hunnam right Charlie Hunnam now I didn't watch what was his show that everyone's like oh my god he was so hot um Sons of Anarchy right so I was like okay who's this Charlie Hunnam guy okay then I was like seeing him in clips of Sons of Anarchy I was like okay I get it but then I was like okay so he's like supposedly like this hot guy which I'll agree to he's a very good looking man and then it's like he's cast as Ed Gein and that because now I know like as I'm watching the first episode I'm like who's this
Starting point is 00:28:46 actor playing Ed Gein so I looked him up and I'm like he's the hot guy from Sons of Anarchy and then I'm watching him act in this Monsters documentary and you know he's like hi mother okay mother I'll be I'll be a good boy and I won't fuck the Jezebel because I don't want to go to hell you're right mother I'll go read my bible like I'm watching him act I'm like okay this is interesting now I understand the lore and like why he used that voice because this the whole thing was him you know becoming his mother basically and so that was like a feminine voice he chose to use when he was acting out this role but anyways I'm like watching him and I'm like there are some scenes where I'm like you're it's like he was like too hot you know for it in a way like I'm like
Starting point is 00:29:42 you're so fucking weird and this voice is so fucking weird and then you're like really fucking handsome and I'm like you know what I mean like your brain like can't calculate that but he honestly the acting was so good where there are a lot of times where I like didn't notice it like I was like he was Ed Gein you know like he I was just like wow you know and all of all of these monsters documentaries the Dahmer actor I forget his name was incredible the Menendez brothers the two actors that were the Menendez oh my god incredible and like now this like the acting in it in all of these shows are like fucking they're amazing so anyways shout out um what other shows are we watching I'm not really isn't there like a new love is blind
Starting point is 00:30:33 out like there's always like a reality shit happening that I don't know about because I'm not a reality girl and you know what who's watching Candace like who's glued to this Candace investigative journalism reporting she's doing about Charlie Kirk's assassination like it's like I haven't missed an episode I mean it she is my Risa Tisa right now okay it's uh candace candace owens is my risa tisa it's it's no longer who the fuck did i marry in 2025 it's who the fuck killed charlie kirk okay and i am just taken back by her commitment to this investigation and how much she's on it you know and i feel like you guys regardless of what you think about candace owens and now i have my opinions right i have my and and things have
Starting point is 00:31:27 and flow with me with her and they, but now they're, they're not ebbing and flowing. I'm pretty like, fuck yeah, Candace. And I'm on the Candace train and I don't know why I got off of it. I think I like heard some shit and I was like, you know, um, honestly, probably related to Israel. And then I like to switch teams. You know what I'm saying? So, um, but she makes every fucking point she makes is such a good fucking point and the thing about what she's doing with this Charlie Kirk investigation is like if you had a friend a family member if you had someone who was assassinated and shot in the fucking neck in broad daylight in the same way Charlie Kirk was she is basically doing exactly what you would logically do in that situation and she's asking
Starting point is 00:32:20 all of the logical questions that you would be asking if that was your brother or your uncle or your dad or your you know what I mean like your best friend so if she's getting any flack about this it's like put yourself in her shoes like this is actually so fucking smart and logical and amazing that she's not just like and and the thing is is that history the reason why she's being skeptical and asking these questions that are like what the some people might be like why aren't you just like listening to what the feds are saying and like why aren't you based on American history okay like she has every reason not to believe what she's being told and what the public is being told and what the media is saying okay so um it's actually very intelligent
Starting point is 00:33:13 and very smart to be doing what she's doing and the way she's doing it because you have to and And in this day and age, like you have to think outside of the box and go into every possible detail, even though it might sound wacky. I mean, some of the points she's bringing up are like, whoa, like where the fuck does this come from? And then it makes sense. And you're like, oh, you know. And so, yeah, I'm glued to Candace Owens right now. It's such a mind fuck still what happened. And I even said this.
Starting point is 00:33:45 And my last episode was literally about the assassination of Charlie Kirk and my theory about the phones and our empathy and our lack of empathy because phones are completely desensitizing us from like our own humanity and feeling it for other people that we disagree with. and like, um, is that the right way of saying our own human? You know what I mean? Like we, I did an entire episode on it. Go listen to the last episode. Um, but I said when things like this happen and we'll get to Taylor Swift, by the way, we'll get to my opinion on Taylor Swift in a second. Sorry. Um, shit. I really did that. Didn't I? I like went way off of that, but that's what happens. Um, but I always say that it sucks when stuff like this happens and thank God for candid because the next week it's something else like the next week it was Jimmy Kimmel getting you know taken off air temporarily you know we thought it was going to be for good but like no he came back
Starting point is 00:34:50 right and then the next week it's something else the next week it's something else and I just hate that about the news cycle and how we just like forget things but like the Charlie Kirk assassination like that that was fucking huge and that was a that's a huge it symbolizes so much more than like just him getting shot you know and him being assassinated like it's there's something about it that is it's it's bigger than that and I think that's what everyone's like I think that's what we all realized when it happened um it seems darker than than that or can't be any darker than him being killed, but like something else is up, you know? And that's kind of the way it always has fucking been. So it's like, as much as Candace is doing this investigation, as much
Starting point is 00:35:42 as the world's like pushing back and asking the questions and staying on the case. And it's like, I just whoever the big guys are whoever the big dogs pulling the strings of the world are like I just don't think you can ever you're never gonna like you know rise up and destroy that like you know take them down like I feel like no matter what As much truth as you seek and find out and as much information that, you know, you come up with or factual information you come up with it shows that they're evil and corrupt and all that. It's like it doesn't fucking matter. It's just going to keep happening. And that's the sad fact about life.
Starting point is 00:36:39 So it's like just keep it moving, but like don't. But like we've got to have people fighting the good fight. it's like such a hard thing to realize about life but anyways I don't want to spiral so we're not going to um I have a few fun reddit things after I talk about Taylor Swift you guys want to do scary stories spooky season I have scary reddit stories one is literally like um murder is legal in my small town should I go kill someone so we might do that let me take a look here if I have anything else um oh yeah did he got four years don't care I mean yes I care but like I never really covered that honestly and what do I have to say I just
Starting point is 00:37:29 he'll be he'll be out and like on podcasts and just like back to normal I feel like and another thing, another unfortunate fact about life. Like we're not going to tear down the big guys and the big dogs ruling the world. Like that's just not going to happen. Like that's not how things work. Unfortunately, like it's just not our, that's not how the simulation was set up or whatever. Like, that's just not how things go. Like, can it be improved a little bit? Sure. Yeah, maybe. Um, but then people just, if you like expose it and try to like fight the fight like you'll just get killed so like they're they're always gonna have a leg up on all the little people and I don't know it's just um what was I saying about oh yeah and then
Starting point is 00:38:22 like when shit like the ditty situation happens especially if it's a man you'll just watch them like do their time and then come and like be bigger and better than ever on the other side of uh prison so which you know people are making jokes about he'll be like doing the baby oil baby oil baby oil parties again the freak offs again like nothing nothing's gonna change and um this is work okay oh my god it's prime week it's prime week prime day prime it's the seventh and eighth right haven't bought anything don't need anything every now and then I'm like oh I wonder if there's a good deal so I'll like look and I'm like no I'm good I don't need it um I have been busting through a lot of products recently just trying new things out and really enjoying
Starting point is 00:39:14 the beauty world again like or I've always enjoyed it but like the makeup and skincare world and um I just did an empties video you can go watch it on my TikTok okay um I use my products like that's the thing it's so satisfying when you like finish a product and you're like fuck yeah like I actually like yeah like I'm I'm not I'm not a wasteful bitch like I'm actually using the things that I'm being sent a lot of this stuff is gifted or like things that I buy and then I repurchase them so I even shared like which things I repurchase to go go to my TikTok if you want to watch my like beauty guru videos. Um, so back to Taylor or was I going to do these Reddit horror stories? No. Um, is there any other pop culture news? I don't really, I don't really care. Um,
Starting point is 00:40:10 let's talk about Taylor Swift and then we'll do a couple of Reddit scary stories. And then I like this question here about your instincts. Um, because I love like, I just think it's amazing how sometimes our gut feelings are, uh, what's the quote or gut feelings are golden angels or like golden messengers or like gut feelings are, there's a quote, you, you probably know the quote. Um, but anyways, people are chiming in about like listening to their gut feeling and realizing later what they avoided by getting out of a situation they could have like died or like this horrible thing could happen you know I just think that's like a fun little podcast segment um we're just you guys I might start podcasting three like I'm actually so what's today Wednesday
Starting point is 00:41:01 I need to be doing this more like it's getting bad like it's getting really like clunky so um I want to make history and that's what this is and I can't if I'm only doing it once a week and i'm clunky at it you know what i mean so so back to taylor swift again this is how it should have sounded okay like moulin rouge like like big like flapper girl like like band brass, like trumpets and saxophone type energy, you know, like, can you imagine this is the thing about life of a showgirl? Um, and I'm going to reveal, like, I'm just talking about it very like neutrally. Like I'm not putting my, you're not going to really know what I think
Starting point is 00:42:03 about Taylor Swift until the end. Okay. So you have to stay tuned for that. Um, and I've really do teasers, but that kind of felt good to give you guys a teaser. I never do that. Um, but the thing about life of a showgirl that would have been so sick okay it would have been so sick if she legitimately blended that moulin rouge that's the only like broadway like fucking showgirl thing I can think of right now that those brassy sounds that jazzy sound that showgirl sound with her own Taylor Swift vibe I guess like that could have been so cool to have an entire album with that it's kind of like when Bieber just came out with swag it was like this is a new sound and it's very unique it's like or for him it's like a more unique sound I think Taylor Swift could have
Starting point is 00:42:54 really I mean just don't title it life of a showgirl title it like I was gonna say something rude but like something about this album is is very like it feels forced and like she's just trying to make money or something off of the I don't know like someone some so many people have these theories and stuff and it's like it just feels very like off like I don't know like again I think it's just the marketing versus the product like you didn't execute that properly and so I think that's why people are confused and then when you listen to the songs yeah they all kind of blend together and sound very similar and like the same note and just the same nothing stands out there's like a
Starting point is 00:43:41 few lines that really like you're like oh she's seeking this is like a bop like this is like a little like this line like this one line like I ain't got knock on wood in it or like Elizabeth Taylor I like that song a little bit I will admit to that okay I'm still not telling you my opinion on Taylor Swift yet. Um, but there's some lines where you're like, okay, like I can, maybe this will get stuck on my head, but the rep, I, by the way, again, not explaining my Taylor Swift fandom level right now, but like, I did listen to this top to bottom. I blew my back out at the gym or I blew my back out. And the next day at the gym, when I was doing my rehab stuff for it, I was like trying to listen to something not crazy, not my, you know, fucking trap music. Okay. So I put on
Starting point is 00:44:26 the entire Taylor Swift album because I'll explain why um well I wanted something that was everyone's talking about it I actually listened to the album top to bottom so I feel qualified to talk about it now on my show because sometimes I talk about things where I'm like talking out of my ass because I never really like read the full article or did the deep research right like I always talk about that so like with this Taylor Swift new album I listened the whole fucking thing okay but um anyways um yeah I just feel like back to the the vibe like it could have been so like pop jazzy in the coolest way and I feel like she's got all of the resources and the ability to do that but this is kind of like a this album feels like um like it what it was just kind
Starting point is 00:45:16 of like a it's not memorable like it's not memorable you know what I mean like it's anyways this is Taylor Swift so I just I'm just a little bit like huh like is this by the way this might be AI I don't know I did not do my due diligence here but like she seems pissed and weirdly angry the rule of show business is if it's the first week of my album release and you are saying either my name or my album title you're helping um and art i have a lot of respect for people's subjective opinions on art i'm not the art gleece it's like everybody is allowed to feel exactly how they want and what our goal is as entertainers is to be a mirror oftentimes an album is a really really wild way to look at yourself right what you're going through
Starting point is 00:46:18 in your life is going to affect whether you relate to the music that I'm putting out at any given moment and what I often love seeing my fans say is I used to be someone who didn't like relate to reputation and now that I've been through some other things in my life that's my favorite album or I used to be a like fearless girly now I'm obsessed with evermore like and we're doing this thing for keeps like i have such an eye on legacy when i'm making my music i know what i made i know i adore it and i know that like on the theme of what the show girl is all of this is part of it the rule of show business is all of this is part of it okay well um you're helping us in reference to capitalism and making money off of your anytime you mention it mention what did she say the rule
Starting point is 00:47:14 of show business is like basically all press is good press if you're saying my name in the first week it's helping meaning it's making me money so um yeah she is the queen of capitalism the queen of like suckering your fans into buying so much fucking shit like how many album covers did she or um what are they called vinyls did she release of this album like 15 different versions there's there's some like target thing where they were they all from like released at target and then like if you put them all together it like makes the heirs to our stage so like in terms of yeah she's very commercial like we've been saying this right and it really popped off when she got with Travis and was showing up to all of these Chiefs games and like what are we on year three season
Starting point is 00:48:00 three of her being a a wag at the Chiefs games like is this our third year of it yeah I think it's our 30 year now they're engaged and but that's when it really and then the heiress tour right it was just like Taylor Swift in our face every single day for like two years right and then now it's like okay they're engaged she was kind of gone a little bit springtime it's like quiet and then boom engagement album drop you know press tour so you know it's like we're back and so uh basically this is my takeaway from the album and I think it's everyone's takeaway it's like this bitch is 35 why are you talking like you're having sex for the first time
Starting point is 00:48:50 I felt like such a whore listening to the life of a showgirl realizing that i i just love loosely saying the word whore i said it on my last episode by the way like it's kind of it's just it's kind of it's so crass but like listening to her yeah make these sexual references in these songs i'm like you know this is the thing and this is what a lot of this is the breakdown too it's like she's placate or she's yes she's 35 yes she's engaged yes she's a grown-ass woman but the brand of Taylor Swift is still like she's 16 in high school and the references are all to
Starting point is 00:49:47 high school and like when she was and like a younger and they're all a younger uh woman's like life experience and vibe but we can all relate to it because we used to also be in high school and be young and you know we used to be longing for things we couldn't get and we were always on the outside and we always you know so we a lot of people like we all can relate to that we always we all have a story of like crushes and first loves and dating boys and all that so like the fact she's like 35 and still doing that is because like that's her brand that's Taylor Swift like that's what she's always done but she hasn't really matured it's like it hasn't especially with the sexual references in this like the cringe like new heights what was the
Starting point is 00:50:34 redwood tree new heights like alluding to like Travis Kelsey's boner like it's like it's like very immature right like I think that's what people are saying it's like that's the consensus it's like so immature and it's like I've always thought I'm like she's been cringe right she's always been courage but I feel like her diehard fans are like diehard Swifties now I'm basically admitting that I'm not a diehard Swifty so okay teaser spoiler spoiler alert I'm not a diehard Swifty that's probably obvious but now I feel like they're waking up to like how she's always been that way and like or they're waking up to that fact um especially with this album I'm trying to think let me go down the song list um we've got the fate of ophelia okay i'll be your
Starting point is 00:51:28 father figure is that the one where she's like i'm not a badass and this isn't savage it's like what you know it's just it's very like huh um and then the one about she like starts a song saying like everything's about memes and she's talking about like online comments and like it's very internet speak and it's like this isn't taylor like you know what i mean like taylor swift is very like lyrically she's a genius lyrically and she writes very um um, beautifully. I'm so I'm fucking, I, you know, can I do this episode anymore? Am I going to come up with the right, um, depict the right words here as I'm talking about Taylor Swift being a lyrical genius. I mean, the song that came to mind after I listened to the life of a showgirl
Starting point is 00:52:30 where i'm like this was this song like is so fucking beautiful and nothing on the life of a showgirl comes close to i bet you're down in the city what's the song it's um so yeah i'm not i'm i'm not enough of a swifty to know the words or the lyrics like off the top of my head um it's i almost do right yeah gorgeous song i bet this time um and i just want to tell you i'm first time singing on my podcast and i just want to tell you it takes everything in me not to call you and i wish i could run and every time you know that every time I almost do I bet you think I either moved on or hate you because each time like it's such a beautiful song like what's the part where she's like you're
Starting point is 00:53:38 looking out in the city I bet you're sitting in your chair by the window looking out who's like tuned out. Like, I'm so sorry. I am not, I wish Corey can sing. Okay. Corey has the, he has like a Frank Sinatra fucking voice. He's such a sleeper. You would never know it about, about him, but I wish we could do it and sing. And I wish that I had the pipes, you know, to measure up because it's, I am God awful. And I remember being in church as a kid, standing next to my mom, belting the church songs, being like, you're so off pitch. You can't fucking sing. And she would admit to that too like she can't but like I am her now like I can't fucking sing I bet you're sitting in your chair by the window like some of her songs are so beautiful and I think here you
Starting point is 00:54:25 know I'll just do it now fuck it this is my Taylor Swift official opinion it only took us four hours to get to this point of the episode okay i i ebb and flow that's annoying i should take a stand i I like some of her music that's kind of it okay I get down to cruel summer or whatever like it's blue shape of your life or I don't I never know any of the lyrics I just know the vibes of the songs I get down to so like there's probably 10 songs I get down to okay I love some of her songs love it feels like the
Starting point is 00:55:35 perfect night no that's not the song um should I just go down my like top Taylor Swift songs I'm sure they're like your your favorites too I almost do okay um I don't even know the the names of this I'd have to hear them honestly to know if I like to remember like okay Cruel Summer that shit's got how many uh oh all of her top Spotify ones are her new album so you can't see how many downloads but like Cruel Summer um Bad Blood wait I forgot and now I got Bad Blood see I didn't like Wildest Dreams is pretty see there's a lot of so basically I like her music that's where I'm at I don't I am like in terms of her as a person as a as like a celebrity as a pop star I am like neutral and different don't really
Starting point is 00:56:36 nothing like registers in my brain like positively or negatively she just is in my mind like she is a pop star she is so fucking famous and she is amazing and look what she has done with her fans over the years and how cool and that's so awesome like dads and daughters are bonding over Taylor Swift music and going to her concerts like I can acknowledge the greatness I totally see it right like I but nothing registers in my brain like I'm like I like some of her songs but I'm also in the camp of like she's kind of just average like she's kind of just like an but that's like her brand right so you're like well that's her brand and so like she can like lean into being like a kind of an average white girl you know like an average basic white girl who's dorky and cringe and
Starting point is 00:57:27 because that's who she is and like she doesn't need to be anything else right like I can but like I don't I can't be like she sucks and I hate her because I don't I don't think she sucks and I don't hate her so like I'm not a I'm not a full hater this is what I'm a hater of to be honest when it comes to Taylor Swift I'm it okay and I have so many friends that are gonna hate this right now so please if you're a friend of mine and you're a Swifty just I love you but like hear me out also and like maybe just stop listening at this point the thing is the thing that I just maybe it's it's not I don't have hatred towards Taylor Swift I and I don't even the word the word isn't hate I cannot understand at all in any way the way grown women worship
Starting point is 00:58:25 Taylor Swift and do these like costume parties of her albums and the different eras and like go to the movie theater to like watch like and then like go to like four era shows and like no they know like all of these little easter egg details and and all the lore and and they fought they like I mean I see people repost Taylor Swift people grown ass women women all white girls by the way honestly it's like always the white girls but like I don't know maybe do I I wish I had more black friends honest to god like I'm like dude, I need to fucking hook it up with my, yeah, so, so funny, like, my, like, some of my favorite friends from the past were not white girls, and I just, like, yeah, I don't know, anyways, I,
Starting point is 00:59:21 because, I don't know, something, they're so, like, fucking, they're actually funny, like, black people are actually funny, like, they actually are, and I, I, I appreciate that, And they also like, aren't like when you hang out with like black girls, like they're just like, they're so comfortable. Like there's all of them, all of the ones I've ever, like all of my coworkers, friends like at school, like they were all just like so confident too. And I always admired that in them. They weren't like insecure, like meek little, like brittle white girls like Taylor Swift.
Starting point is 00:59:56 They're like fucking Rihanna. Like there's different vibes. Okay. Black people, white people have different vibes. We can all admit it. It's not like, this is not a racist thing. Like not, it's not across the board. Okay. There's stereotypes and I am alluding to those, but like, there is something about a boss bitch black woman who's like confident that I look up
Starting point is 01:00:11 and funny and like honest and no bullshit that I appreciate as a white woman. Okay. So I'm admitting to that. Like I crave that. And I, anyways, the white girls I follow who repost Taylor Swift videos, it's like, they're reposting, like, it's like so fangirl and so like an obsessive where I'm like I just don't know what happens in the brain where you get that enamored by Taylor Swift and I almost think it's groupthink it's like when you it's almost like her people like the PR machine behind her and it's like propaganda dude like it's like fuck it like it's it's like people's minds become like altered because of it's like you hear Taylor Swift obsession and then you become obsessed with Taylor Swift or
Starting point is 01:01:04 Taylor's what you know what I'm saying so that's the thing I don't I don't hate Taylor Swift I just don't understand that like I just and I think it bothers me because I'm like it's not cute to be in my opinion fucking cares live your life honestly like shake your asses I'm Taylor Swift with your girlfriends and your heirs to her outfits and there's nothing I don't I don't even hate that like go to the concerts like it's a it's fucking amazing look at how many people it brings together and how many friendships happen over Taylor Swift and how many cool like I'm holding space for that
Starting point is 01:01:46 okay I'm holding it's not a blank space it's a full space I'm holding a lot of space for that okay what other puns can I come up with to tailor stuff I'm hitting a wall I don't have any caffeine on board and the only thing we have left here is a spindrift a lemon spindrift that was fucking $8 at Trader Joe's
Starting point is 01:02:02 now these are now I think in 2020 these were $5.99 now they're $7.99 so cool shout out inflation this is the first time I left Trader Joe's oh my god two times now I've gone to Trader Joe's and the cashier's like, this is the most I've ever charged someone or like rang someone up for one time. It was over $900. And one time it was
Starting point is 01:02:27 because I was buying alcohol for a party and it was like, that's just what, that's what made it expensive. So that's one thing, but it was still a lot. Um, and then like 25 packs of ground beef for dog food that I was making. And that was expensive, I guess too. So, and some like steaks. Cause you know, I'm always cooking and like, what did I start the episode off with? Oh no. The fucking rotten meat. Yeah. Just always cooking steak. I just love steak. I could eat steak every day. I could. And this last time, this is literally last week, $600 at Trader Joe's. Okay. And it's just Corey and I, excuse me. I don't even spend that much at Costco sometimes. I'm like what in the fuck is going on and I'm not like I am blessed and I am admitting this to like
Starting point is 01:03:15 go to Trader Joe's and to like get what I need and leave right like I'm not like calculating every price as I'm buying stuff and that is a privilege I know that's a beautiful place to be in life but like this was the first time in a minute where I'm like I think I need to start considering the prices of this shit and I'm at fucking Trader Joe's and I've never had to do that so yeah I don't know what's going on but yeah these these spin drifts I want it right now it's they're so good to like ration these like the next time I see Corey drink two of these in a day I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to uh I'm gonna have to discipline him what do you guys think our dynamic is by the way what's our marriage or what's our couple's dynamic
Starting point is 01:04:00 I'm a dumb top have you guys seen this fucking video oh my god oh my god dude this is a good palate cleanser and then we're gonna get back to Taylor Swift because I was talking my shit but I feel like that's like a common idea and thought about her fans I need lip gloss the whole like being a grown woman and obsessed to the point of like crying over when she gets engaged and like it's like strange to me I don't know maybe it's because I'm too damaged to understand it I always say that whenever people are really like over or not it's not overly positive but just free to feel this is sad this is fucking sad whenever I see my fellow women especially because I feel like
Starting point is 01:04:57 women are more expressive with their emotions seem like they're free in how or or when they seem like they are they get it out when they seem free and how they allow themselves to feel if that makes sense like they're not repressing any emotions they're just they see Taylor Swift doing something beautiful and amazing and wonderful and they just like yeah oh my god I'm gonna cry like queen like yes oh my god like they're not they're not feeling any other type of way other than just like love adoration like joy feeling and they're just like their body is so like unabused like they're not abused they're not scathed and beaten down by life and they're not damaged to the point where like they are
Starting point is 01:06:00 a you know a like a an initial hater on that or like uh no I'm not even a hater towards it's like you're just you've you've like a block where you're not you can't just be joyful because your default setting is like skeptic or like you're like a curmudgeon about everything you know what I mean so dude okay this video is such a good palate cleanser Corey sent this to me I need to I might have to scroll back in her dms because I don't know oh man I'm gonna I'm gonna get to it okay we're gonna get to it it's this interview on a on the street like you see these interviews where god we send so many Instagram videos so this might take a with her. So let me find, did I not send it to her? This is so annoying. This is so annoying.
Starting point is 01:07:07 Okay. Um, maybe if I just type in, I'm a dom top on my, have you guys seen this video? I'm a dom top. Oh yeah. She's how we talk. This is so fucking good. I'm sorry. I can't. Mr. Marco Fleming. Are you gay? I'm bisexual. Are you top or bottom? I'm a top dom top, aggressive top can you describe what dumb top means dumb top means which means i grab you by your back your neck put your face down out of you and have you walk crazy for days walk crazy for days crazy for days which means you'll be real sore and you'll be calling me on the phone daddy demarco i need help i need i'm sore give me some Tylenol that's what that means all right honestly i don't think i can handle it but i appreciate your honesty i know you can't handle i can tell
Starting point is 01:07:51 the way you walk you can't handle it my is big they call me king kong my pants i know you can't but i'll make sure i go real gentle with you you're cute thank you so much i like it gentle all right i got you thank you so much i cannot kiss though can i kiss i have a boyfriend he has a boyfriend i got a husband what does that mean he didn't see the engagement ring on my neck with the program my name is demarco fleming all right period thank you again it's a pleasure my pleasure thank you you're awesome i'm a dom top i just love that fucking it's just so aggressive I'm an aggressive dom top oh my god okay palette cleanser it's kind of a yeah see my podcast it's uh it's a clusterfuck and that's why I love
Starting point is 01:08:35 podcasting because I can say that and it's it's uh it makes oh my god I just wrote a blurb for my show and I it literally starts out with the Jacqueline Monroe show is defined by contrast okay here we are talking about Taylor Swift and how white girls are getting wet from watching her uh uh in her double-lined tights or whatever they the the fucking tights and the little glitter outfit her grinding on a chair at the heiress tour like like grown women adult women crying and coming in their pants to taylor swift and then which is like super light and and you know airy and you know and then we're talking about uh, you know, this, this, this bisexual, what did he say? I'm gay and bisexual.
Starting point is 01:09:44 And he's talking about railing people in the ass and being a dumb top. So, um, okay. So yeah, that's my, that's where I'm at with Taylor Swift. Love her songs, love her, um like honestly like I think I can get down to a lot of her songs but in terms of like being obsessed with her oh my god like I don't have I don't I'm so neutral and different like whatever um but I acknowledge the the genius I acknowledge the the talent and but at the same time I'm like it is kind of average like her range like her vocal vocal range isn't anything crazy to me it's not like like her writing is amazing her ability to write about things that make people feel things and relate you know things that they can relate to especially being a woman in this
Starting point is 01:10:38 world like that's incredible like um whatever she's doing is working you know what I mean so I can't hate on that but this was a great breakdown this is a 10 minute video and I don't give a fuck because this was the best breakdown I have watched on and I think she's got a little list by the way so it's it's it might be a little difficult to I'm kidding uh I wish I had a lisp sometimes sometimes I think I have a slight lisp um so just try to tune that out it shouldn't take it so it doesn't take away from what she's saying because this is an an excellent breakdown Taylor Swift's new album is many things unfortunately good is not one of them I knew the album wasn't going to be good as soon as the title was revealed, but the promo pics made me
Starting point is 01:11:26 curious, so I have listened to the album in full. And now having listened to it, the album's problem is glaringly obvious. The problem is Taylor Swift is aging out of being a white girl. Before you scroll, let me cook. When Taylor was a teenager, she wanted to be a pop star, so her parents decided to take the country route. Keep in mind, this is the 2000s. Pop music was highly sexual, it was sleazy, and then you had things like bling rap. It's not a place for a little white girl. Country music on the other hand loves a little white girl and she's blonde they'll eat her up so her family moved from pennsylvania to tennessee to launch her country career that's why for the first several years of her career she faked a southern accent she was trying to fit in seem authentic once the
Starting point is 01:12:04 pop landscape started to change the late 2000s and early 2010s that's when she started to transition to making pop music and now to talk about white girls white girls don't have sex they don't know what that is white girls are they're cute they're adorable they're like dolls they're precious they have to be protected. Do you remember a couple months ago whenever parents would bring their kids to Sabrina Carpenter shows and then act aghast because Sabrina Carpenter who is a highly sexual artist was referencing sex on stage? Of course they were because how could a short cute little white girl who is also blonde, a blonde cute little white girl, how could she possibly know what sex is? It's the assumption. A woman having sexual freedom and willingly engaging in
Starting point is 01:12:43 sex is highly associated with blackness. You can see this most clearly when it comes to things like disney nickelodeon star i'm seeing this a lot by the way and i know i just talked about black people i was like going off but like there's this there there's a lot of takes on the life of a showgirl and i'm hearing and i and i'm trying to understand it better but like they're referencing like the or they're juxtaposing like being a black girl and blackness with being a white girl in that experience and how they're different and i just think it's interesting that this is being brought up a lot and honest to god it's a valid fucking point especially when she starts talking about i think she talks about miley cyrus and ariana grande in this so there's miley cyrus
Starting point is 01:13:30 she was hannah montana all american girl and what does she do whenever she wanted to shed the disney image and say hey i'm not just a little girl anymore she really says can't be tamed in bangers ariana grande another cute little white girl what does she do whenever she wants to shed the childhood image she releases dangerous woman in sweetener they would do things like hang out with rappers they would incorporate black music styles into their own music so that way whenever they'd be sexual it's like oh i'm i'm not just a little white girl anymore and over time they would drift away from that because that wasn't who they authentically were they were just using that as a way to escape the chains of being a white girl taylor swift has never had to do that and why
Starting point is 01:14:08 would she she makes being a white girl so fucking profitable and the thing about taylor swift is that being a white girl is not just profitable for her it's her entire brand because she's just like so awkward and when she dances on stage she's like bad because she's like awkward and she loves like cats and baking and like hanging out with her fans and she would likely continue with this forever except for one small problem taylor swift is 35 years old and it's not like she's showing signs of aging or anything but the brand of being a white girl is very much being a white girl what happens in a few years whenever she's 40 what happens whenever she starts to get wrinkles through middle age it's not cute anymore to be awkward so she's aging out of being a white
Starting point is 01:14:50 girl but she doesn't have a brand or really even a sense of self outside of being a white girl also low-key this is the entire key to her relationship with Travis Kelsey which is not going to go well but that's a story for another day t this girl's she's on it so so she's aging out of being a white girl white girls don't have sex um they're pure little perfect little angels and they're all like taylor says awkward and she's naive and innocent and it's like okay but now she's 35 she's engaged she's growing up but she's still acting like a little white girl but she can't really so it's not translating anymore basically I feel like what this girl is saying is like Taylor Swift needed to pull like a Miley but I feel like she did wasn't that one it wasn't one
Starting point is 01:15:46 of her albums like super like not raunchy and her but she her like aesthetic changed let me see on her album list here wasn't it like was it reputation like what album was she like like you know she plays with her um with her or she switches up her her aesthetic or whatever her vibe yeah I'm looking here you have there's so many albums I can't keep track and there's like all these I don't understand Taylor's version is that one she had to re-record because of the masters with like the whole Scooter Braun thing and then now she like owns her own shit finally I think that's what it is um yeah so like like folklore okay I feel like okay you've got Speak Now, Fearless and Taylor Swift those are all very OG like how you think of her holding a guitar with
Starting point is 01:16:45 her blonde curls the OG Taylor Swift vibe switches it up a little bit with red the hair is a little straighter okay the 1989 what was like the oh yeah shake it off shake it off okay that's when the vibe changed for me and I was like and like same with bad blood now we got bad blood but then it was like well this jam's beautiful song on the same album so like the sound was getting more poppy then and then she comes out with reputation are you ready for it oh yeah yeah okay this is when she lost me are you ready for it it's like um trying to think if I know any of these songs I don't know any of the reputation songs which makes sense because she lost me with the ready for it song I just end game with futures on that song so was reputation now I'm looking at this
Starting point is 01:17:49 album cover and it's it's it's like she's trying to be hard it's like she's trying to be there's no bangs this is not it's it's odd the the there's like a choker the t-shirts off the shoulder it's it's looking like everything it's so confused it's so confusing to me it's like um so I think reputation was like when Miley Cyrus came out with bangers right that was like the goal of that or it was just like a different it was like a switch up like a bad bitch switch up I mean like that's what this girl's alluding to I'll let she there's like three minutes left in the video but it's kind
Starting point is 01:18:34 of like Taylor Swift needed to legitimately channel like it's kind of fucking crazy and this is what they're saying about like how white women like uh they like tap into black culture and like the vibes of black culture they hang out with rappers like what Miley was doing with with you know when she started getting all slutty and shit and grinding at the fucking VMAs on her dad or what what was that was she not on her dad what was it a stripper pole or something I was like holy shit which now is like crazy how tame that is compared to like what um the way the performances are now but um it's like as if Taylor Swift like she never broke that innocent white girl thing and I feel like the way you do that is you go black like literally like that's what
Starting point is 01:19:30 these a lot of these takes on her album and just like Taylor Swift in general are are all saying it's and which is crazy that it's a that black girls are that sex and being sexual and slutty and all of that is is totally like embraced and like thought about or or associated with black girls but not white girls even though I mean who whores will be whore I'm like who's the like what if we had to have a a a fucking freak off between the white girl oh my god I'm so I'm so, when did I get so crass and out of line? And is this misogynistic? I feel, is this internalized misogyny? Um, I'm just kind of being matter of fact about it, but like, I guess in pop music or in, uh, Hollywood pop music in, um,
Starting point is 01:20:40 culture like the stereotypes of white women versus black women are different especially when it comes to sex and I and I I'm trying to think is that legit or is that just what people are saying like I'm thinking of my own experience because I feel like the white girls are fucking too and it's like totally like now it's so normalized and like it's not like a there isn't like a hard line there um but I think this clean uh like pure innocent white girl trope is kind of like that doesn't exist the same way for black girls but does it I feel like it's all the shit's kind of like made up in a way you see it more I guess with white girls so Taylor if she only if if only she but that's not who she is and that's the thing you got to commend her for like she's
Starting point is 01:21:38 always stayed true to that awkward white girl thing so like her being edgy I guess with reputation was that her edgy album then you've got lover folklore I mean okay for me it's like lover was what cruel summer gorgeous song gorgeous song I think I even talked about that song on my last episode I think that's the only song I know on lover and then okay then you've got like okay this is when I was just checked out folklore evermore it's like you know horse girl braid down the back with the fucking flannel in the woods it's very like poet um just the name like cardigan is a song you know what I mean this doesn't resonate with me it's it seems a little it's just not it's just never again I think I'm too damaged to feel the vibes of like
Starting point is 01:22:47 wearing a cardigan even though I love falling bundling up and being a basic bitch white girl with like a pumpkin spice latte and and like yeah just like fuzzy socks like as much as I that's me something about like reading a book or like holding a book wearing a cardigan and it's like the drinking of the tea and hanging out with your cats and you knitted the cardigan that like lifestyle I can't relate to and I feel like that is Taylor Swift that's the difference I'm like consumer like fucking so is Taylor Swift though you know there are always there there were always the girls in school that were more like quirky like that they actually they like I wore the cardigan but they knitted their own cardigan
Starting point is 01:23:42 Like I read three chapters of the book. They read three books in one day. They, I was getting the Frappuccino from Starbucks at the mall. They were brewing tea in their kitchen, um, with their cats on the way to school, like, or whatever. like there's just like a different vibe going on there um but we're all girls we all want the same things we all want dick so Taylor Swift really hit that on the head with this album uh Life of a Showgirl it's all about getting dick down that's what the whole like all of these albums it albums it's like what is it about what is the what is the point of life like what are we all doing here everyone's just trying to fucking be fucked you know whenever I deep think about that again we're so crass I don't know why I don't know is this what happens when you don't work out in the morning before your podcast and your brain is just mush I don't know am I just am I horny right now like
Starting point is 01:24:56 what the fuck is going on I'm so like tacky and disgusting and annoying like I'm sorry but um sometimes when I overthink about that I'm like sex is so disgusting dicks are so ugly and disgusting but like we all like like women like love dick and that's a thing like this girl also said it oh my god she also said it another tiktok and we'll go back to this girl I need to remember I'm at 305 okay this girl also said it I love this girl's videos about dude. Am I literally doing an entire podcast about Taylor Swift? This is crazy shit.
Starting point is 01:25:33 And it's like, I'm saying that like, I guess I'm being, I'm shocked by it because yeah, I've never been like a, I'm not a hater, but I've never been like a fan to the point where I would podcast about her or say anything about her ever for any reason. If anything, I'd be like annoyed. She's on the Jumbotron at the chiefs games all the time now. And it's like, like, it's so, she's like too much in her face. that's pretty much all i've ever really said about taylor swift is like she's it's like too much exposure but this girl said it 2025 the richest most successful women in the world are
Starting point is 01:26:03 dropping albums about being subs for men and i am living for it you know why because real feminism is about doing whatever the fuck you want and if you want to wake up one morning and say i'm ophelia rescue me even though you don't need rescuing that's your right here's a song called wood about my fiance's dick yeah i know i wrote folklore i don't give a shit in fact i'm sick of all these like long albums that have to be works of art tortured poets department babe i'm here for this put an ikea chair together and i get wet we're having fun again girls and i always laugh at this because i'm like dude the whole doesn't she say in one of the songs on this album that she like
Starting point is 01:26:52 bought girl boss too close to the sun I always laugh at this type of commentary about like you know in 2025 like Sabrina Carpenter is just basically like I like dick and she's this little white girl and now Taylor Swift's like I like dick and she's also well she's tall and she's not like she's a little white girl she's 35 but she's still a little white girl at heart like you get the point and it's like why do you guys remember like the fucking 4b movement I mean that's still probably a thing I know and what was that in South Korea that's where it originated from and for like their their reason for it was like legitimate our reason for it was like it's trendy to hate men and to like not
Starting point is 01:27:36 associate with men and de-center men and but it's like at the end of the day we all like dig so like why are we trying to hide it it's like just own it you want to be rescued by a man even though you don't need to be rescued yes you're a girl boss yes you can support yourself and take care of yourself and all of that but you can also like not want to always be that you know and I think that's what like she said Taylor Swift with this album is basically saying it's like also it's like what is she saying in this album like I can't I'm like I'm like trying to figure out like what is this album saying because it's not giving a life of a show girl it's not we've just got to remove that from our brains. Like it's not, that's just not what it it's about. Um,
Starting point is 01:28:21 so yeah, I just laugh at that because I'm like, it's whenever, this is the thing, whenever, especially women, cause I'm like, men never try to convince themselves of something that they're not. But why do, why do women do that? or, or did I say that? I didn't complete that. Is it, it's why, why is it that women, it's because we're always having to prove ourselves. Right. And we're always have, we're always having to, yeah. And in a, in a world where we are, you know, i mean yeah we're at we're discriminated against we're at a disadvantage we're oppressed we're for centuries at all that so it's like we've always felt this need to prove ourselves
Starting point is 01:29:13 but men i mean what i'm saying is why do women always have to do this mental gymnastic shit and try to prove to themselves and to the world that there's something other than what they are or their that what they want or what they want how they want to live or who they want to be isn't who they innately are and especially biologically are you know what I mean and that's a whole like girl boss movement okay we all I do think there's just like this pushback now and there's this like realization women are waking up and they're like what the fuck was that
Starting point is 01:29:58 why the fuck did we want to like go to work that bad and like be in a man's world and live like a man and be like a man that much like it sucks like it fucking sucks to be you know to like want babies and to like have this innate desire to like be a mother and like once you do that you're like fuck like and I know a lot of women do it and they're totally happy doing it and everything but a lot of women are like being a working mom is bullshit you know like why the fuck did we ever want this like it shouldn't be this way and um amazing we have the option progress I can acknowledge that um I'm not saying it's all bad but I think women are like burnout of the girl bossing at this moment in time and they're just like I just
Starting point is 01:30:47 want to like be rescued I just want to like have a basketball hoop and I want what is what is her song about I just want people to like leave us the fuck alone me and Travis I just want them to leave us the fuck alone I want to have your babies they're gonna look like you they're gonna run around the block with their friends in our in our suburban neighborhood with our basketball hoop and um I just want to I just want to I just want your redwood redwood uh I just want to be digmatized by your redwood dick and I just want that and your love to open my thighs because your dick isn't the thing that opens my thighs it's the love I have for you that opens my thighs that your love is what does that so that's honest you know and it's like refreshing that like women are
Starting point is 01:31:41 being honest about their true desires and wants that have been suppressed because they've girl boss too close to the sun I does she say that in her I think she says that in one of her songs which which is kind of like girl boss is like cringe like why would you say girl boss i feel like she used a lot a little too much internet speak and like the word memes you know she used that word which is like a lot of people are like that's so not taylor stuff to use the like memes as a lyric um surprise she didn't use like keyboard keyboard warriors or like i don't know um what else do i have about taylor swift we got to finish this girl's video three minutes and
Starting point is 01:32:32 five seconds in taylor swift okay in 2025 okay wow three minutes here we go come on tiktok it's loading it's not cute anymore to be awkward so she's aging out of being a white girl but she doesn't have a brand or really even a sense of self outside of being a white girl also low-key this is the entire key to her relationship with travis kelsey which is not going to go well but that's a story for another day and keep in mind the world has been moving on an artist like sabrina carpenter could not exist 10 years ago there was nowhere in the pop landscape for her for like a little a cute little white girl who's that sexual it just it didn't exist
Starting point is 01:33:26 and then on top of that things have been rapidly changing politically so people want different things from women now and the life of a showgirl is a testament to taylor's inability to rise to the occasion like on the song wish list oh everybody wants bright lights and designer things and they want like a fat ass but but me then we get to the chorus but but me i i just want to have all of your kids i want to have all of your kids and then i want to live in a house and i want the driveway to have a basketball hoop in it for for our kids and taylor's personal struggle between her being her own woman and her being a cute little white girl is really embodied by the song wood it's called wood because it's in reference to travis kelsey's penis
Starting point is 01:34:08 that dick balls but the song isn't sexual at all because the song isn't about sex it's about a woman justifying the fact that she has sex the song starts with her picking petals off of a daisy oh he loves me he loves me not taylor portrays herself as being super insecure until travis kelsey digmatizes her and opens up her eyes and keep in mind white girls cannot be sexual beings it's not that she has sexual feelings it's that a man came along and unlocked it in her the curse was lifted you see you guys it's not about sex at all it's about love his love was the key that opened my thighs i i don't have sexual feelings i'm just a little white girl because this album is supposed to be her embodying her sexual energy thus life of a showgirl but
Starting point is 01:34:59 taylor either feels unable or isn't willing or whatever it is you want it to be taylor doesn't actually embody it she doesn't explore it because the the embodiment of her sexual energy would come at the expense of the brand of taylor swift it's just it's seemingly not compatible or at least she thinks or her team thinks that it's not compatible so she has to be her own fully embodied grown woman in order to keep up with the times but she also has to be like a cute little white girl in order to keep up with the brand of taylor swift and in trying to do both she successfully does nothing i would be really curious to know if the album was even her idea especially since so many of the songs sounds like rejected tracks off of some of her old albums
Starting point is 01:35:44 also how are you gonna have an album called life of a showgirl and yet not a single fucking song on the album has a brass section showgirl music is big band it's blaring horns it's a hell of a lot of fun and it just it just did not exist on this album not to mention none of the songs actually have anything to do with being a showgirl and really not even the song the life of a showgirl like she could have just used the word follies once and i would have been satisfied but discussing why the music isn't good sonically is not really the purpose of this video if you have any questions or you disagree with me, please let me know. Okay.
Starting point is 01:36:22 Spot on. It's so funny. People in the comments are being like, me the entire time, even though I don't listen to Taylor Swift and it's just like SpongeBob glued to his TV. People are like, I'm just here to be nosy. I've never listened to a Taylor Swift song.
Starting point is 01:36:39 They're like scared. Me, a black man that has no clue what's going on in the Taylor Swift fandom. People are just sat for this. She... um, yeah, I feel like she nailed it. Beyonce dropped lemonade when she was the same age lemonade. I think that's when she, that was like Beyonce's flop album, I guess. I don't, I don't, I don't remember that. I think
Starting point is 01:37:04 I heard about it was a flop, but like, I didn't, I don't have any, did I just get a knock on my door or was that my microphone? Shit. That scares me. I'm alone. The dogs are with Corey at work today scary times I rely on their barks to know when the bad guys are here um also people are like oh it's because she's happy and she's in a happy healthy relationship like that's why she really has nothing to say and so she'll probably like this is probably this is probably what will happen is chiefs will finish their season they'll get married maybe they'll have kids right away maybe not I don't really know what the situation maybe they'll break up fucking who knows maybe they won't make it till the end of the chief season or the NFL the football season um in a
Starting point is 01:37:50 while um so like the timeline might be like she goes and lives some life gets married kids whatever and then like comes back and just crushes another album this won't be her last isn't this number 12 and like her whole thing is like the number 13 so yeah it was not good it was not good uh, a couple of catchy little bops, like a little, you know, on the way to the gym the other day, I had, uh, I had Elizabeth Taylor stuck in my head a little bit, but I mean, just the album cover alone. It's like, Like, okay, the same way people are saying, like, you know how like Kim Kardashian always dresses in superhero suits and like, or she has this aesthetic that's very Kim Kardashian and very Balenciaga-esque and like very like tight suits and like those boots that like, like pants that, and boots that are sewn together but it's like the boot and the pant are one
Starting point is 01:39:07 uh thing you know what I mean like the whole suit like there's no there's like a zipper in the back it's like a it's like a she's wearing like onesies but the footies of the onesie are like boots with like stilettos okay and she's wearing like these futuristic glasses you get the like she has like a very but but so many people are like she needs to like switch that up right like she needs to switch that up and I'm like with Taylor Swift it's like the bangs maybe get rid of the bangs I'm feeling this way for myself by the way I'm like I've had the same I had a blonde era a little blonde midlife mid-20s crisis era of bleach blonde during the pandemic okay we all know that but recently I've been like I kind of want to switch it up like I don't know if it's a chop
Starting point is 01:39:53 I don't know if it's a different color I don't know if it's bangs I don't know I just feel like I've been doing the same thing for this the same way for so long which works for me you know I'm I like my long dark hair but with Taylor Swift I'm like I don't know like she just needs a sweet job it'd be so sick if she like just for the fans just to like get something different I don't know I feel I feel like she's been one note for so long and it's like every artist like it's good to do a rebrand you know it's good to like and you know who does a good job of that I will say is Bieber. Justin Bieber he's always had that like fuckboy swag vibe or whatever like like if you think of Justin Bieber the
Starting point is 01:40:39 different hair over the years the different types of clothes he wore like even now just how he dresses and stuff and how he his like buzz cut he does and over time he's gotten more and more tattoos and um trying to think with taylor stuff it's like always the bangs and the red lip and the blonde hair and i don't know it's kind of like you know what i mean maybe that would help she could have done oh my god what if she life of a showgirl could have been such a i just it just wasn't it it just wasn't what I think I'm too hung up on the name of the album because I'm trying to think of the type of she could have done like a sick rebrand like maybe just temporarily until they get married and then she could go back to like her old like how she usually looks but
Starting point is 01:41:28 like it'd be so cool she came out with this like completely new thing that's I feel like what was missing um she got a new face though something's different on the face which god bless you know women are just trying to like keep it snatched forever and everyone's getting a facelift now I don't think she did I think she just got a little nip tuck a little work a little maybe a little too much filler I would say something's a little too maybe she had too many electrolyte packets like me the day before that interview and she's swollen because you know that's what happens to me but um oh i like this this guy is like if you hate taylor swift's lyrics just pretend they were written by mf doom i was your father figure we drank that brown liquor you made
Starting point is 01:42:20 a deal with this devil turns out my dick's bigger you want to fight you found it i got the place surrounded you'll be sleeping with fishes before you know that you're drowning whose portraits on a man nice I was your father figure we drank that brown liquor you made a deal with this devil turns out my dick's bigger oh yeah she said that referencing her dick in this song um I don't know why do we care about people that we don't know why do we care about celebrity so much why do we do all this deep dive and bullshit it's like I don't know it's part of life like being a human and then like seeing other humans that are super famous do things and they make art and then you get to experience their art and listen to their art or watch their art or whatever
Starting point is 01:43:10 it is whatever type of art they do and you get to analyze it and think about it and and you know at the end of the day they're just a human being but it's crazy how much money she's fucking making it you know, yeah. Do I have any other notes? Any other thoughts? Should we get into these Reddit stories? I'll just read a couple. I don't want to, like, do too much of this. Wait, no, that's not it. Scary stories from Reddit. All right, I'm just looking here. Let me turn that shit off. Um.
Starting point is 01:44:11 My neighbors say they've known my son for years. I've never had children. Everybody loves a happy family. I think my husband's sex doll is trying to replace me in more ways than one. Wait, this has got to be good. oh is it just a picture oh I gotta read this one I think my husband's
Starting point is 01:44:33 sex doll is trying to replace me in more ways than one I came home okay is this long I don't know if it sometimes I'm like if it's this long were these written by chat
Starting point is 01:44:51 also like who has the time to write this is so long someone wrote I clicked on this since I thought the title stood out but wow probably some of the best writing I've seen in this subreddit in a while
Starting point is 01:45:06 very suspenseful had my eyes glued to the screen would make for an amazing short film is this all fake or is this like a story it starts out with I came home from a 12-hour shift and found my husband fucking it all is this a sex sex podcast I feel like I'm overly sexual today and I don't know why
Starting point is 01:45:32 I don't know why you know sometimes that happens I'm feeling just I don't know like I'm talking I'm too raunchy and I don't like that I'm pretty sure my girlfriend is a ghost are these scary stories that are okay wait I need to read the description here scary stories is a subreddit for original written short horror fiction well fuck me you know it's like I thought I thought it was like real scary stories this is more like scary story real scary story stuff so this was I talked about it earlier it's it's It's from the Ask Reddit subreddit. The question is, when did your instincts scream, leave now, and what did you later find out that you avoided?
Starting point is 01:46:29 So here we go. When I was 13, my aunt took me to the beach. It was a little later in the day and pretty empty, just me and her. Not too far out, I found a sandbar. the water went from knee deep to suddenly not being able to touch the ground but I went out further and found a second sandbar where I could touch the ground again. I kept diving under the water to try to feel around for sand dollars but I noticed a faint buzzing that started getting louder and louder. There were no boats or anything and I could only hear when my head
Starting point is 01:47:07 was under the water but it sounded like something was big was next to me and super close it was starting to weird me out so I looked back at my aunt who was standing next to two other people frantically waving at me and screaming but I couldn't hear what they were saying I just do right then and there don't splash don't panic and move slow I basically tried the pace of just walking back even when my feet couldn't touch the ground the buzzing I was hearing turned out to be sharks circling me two joggers noticed the fins and told my aunt and they weren't dolphins and that that they weren't dolphins and that they were getting closer to me my aunt was pissed was pissed I took so long getting out but I told her I felt like it would
Starting point is 01:47:59 have been an awful idea to start kicking and splashing and something was telling me to go as slow as possible. That's crazy. Because when she was describing the buzzing sound underwater, I was thinking she was like by a dam or something. I'm like, my brain was like, is she going to get chopped up in like a, like, I don't know if something's underwater that like chops things up. I don't know if this, where was she at? A lake? No, no. She was at the ocean. of course they're sharks um yeah my brain was not thinking sharks that's a good one um okay a little less dark than most comments here but I but I thought I'd share and I want to think do I have a oh shit I'm glad I listened to my instincts and left when I did moment
Starting point is 01:48:48 I feel like I do let me think about it as I'm reading these actually I can't think I can't multitask but like we'll try well I'll try to like remember something I went to the zoo with some friends and my girlfriend there was this huge bird cage I forgot the word where you could sorry there was this huge bird cage I forgot the word where you could walk in and see all the little colorful birds is that an atrium it's like a bird atrium thing as we were walking we noticed a dispenser where you could buy some seeds and sugary water to feed the birds so we did all fun and games until my gut told me we had to leave I took my girlfriend's hand and we made our exit and two minutes later so did my friends who were covered
Starting point is 01:49:42 in bird shit okay that wasn't that crazy I want like scary shit um My mom had something like this. It was back in 2003 when I was 12, my sister 10. My mom and dad were planning a date night, and they were going to have us kids stay with our grandma and great-grandma for the night. My mom said she changed her mind last minute, and instead they rescheduled and we all stayed home. My grandma's house burned down that night, killing my great-grandma and severely injuring my grandma and one of our uncles.
Starting point is 01:50:19 had my sister and I been there we would have likely been in the same room with great grandma or with our great grandma or grandma and both of us would have died yeah that's sad he's not like this is like that's you know those videos like there's this one in particular where like it's crazy this guy almost gets like hit by a bus or like a gate I forget what it was but right before he gets he gets out of the or this guy like just it was almost like divine or like this was like a ghost or something like grabs him and just like moves him slightly so he doesn't die I don't know if you guys have seen that video but like those are like imagine how many oh shit I know we all have probably if we could see the surveillance on our
Starting point is 01:51:10 life and like the things we avoided. I'm sure we've all been in those situations like a few times without realizing it. Um, sad news on Yosemite, um, or in Yosemite about the climber that fell off El Capitan. I don't know if you guys saw that. I just remembered kind of along the lines of this topic of listening to your instincts this poor guy um they were live streaming these climbers ascending to the top of El Capitan which is we just went to Yosemite and this this uh this cliff this rock this mountain what it's a mountain what is it a rock face it's like the biggest wall in the world like rock climbing climbing wall in the world and it's taller than Burj Khalifa it's huge and it's crazy like when you see people up there climbing they're like
Starting point is 01:52:06 ants and you're just like how are like how you know like how but anyways someone was live streaming the climbers summiting and getting to the top and while they were live streaming this poor kid was rappelling to get his bag that got stuck and he went off the end of his rope there wasn't a stopper or a knot or anything to save him and as he's rappelling down unfortunately I saw the video, he like runs out of rope and just goes and just falls. And you could see it like the last second I'm trying to like grab onto his bag or something. And, um, so yeah, really sad. I mean, just like not thinking, I guess, where you're like, Oh, I'm frustrated. My bag got stuck. I'm going to go get it. And then not thinking about your, I don't know, like freak
Starting point is 01:52:55 stuff happens like that with climbing but um yeah really really sad um I was taking the southbound red in Chicago during winter time isn't like oh my god what the fuck's going on in Chicago I should have covered that is it Chicago yeah they're like sending the national garden or something or like there's so many the cops are basically like giving up or I don't really it's just awful and stupid and sad and I'm not trying to be negative but like I don't know if you guys feel this too but like this country is like legitimately it feels like turning to shit like it's like a slow decay but it's like happening I just I don't know how else to say it like I mean I love my community I love where I live here but I feel like I'm in a bubble compared
Starting point is 01:54:00 to some other places in the country where I'm like it's getting bad out there maybe it's all but then they're like it's propaganda like that like let me see the Chicago like let me just type in Chicago crime Chicago crime crackdown National Guard troops arrive amid tensions Chicago crime
Starting point is 01:54:31 boy found shot to death on south side police say blah blah sad crime in Chicago what you need to know Two weeks after deploying military troops and federal law enforcement agents to Washington, D.C., President Trump said he like, oh, okay, I don't really fucking care, but it's just sad.
Starting point is 01:54:58 Looking at recent data, Chicago's overall crime rate in June was 444 incidents per 100,000 residents. i don't know basically i heard something that was like national guards going to chicago trump said something about like it'll be good practice and then for like our military and then also like it's a good day when only five people die or something because it's like usually like 40 people a day or some crazy number so how bad is crime in chicago let me look up images I just want to get like a vibe here it's like why now what's going on like what changed or it's always been bad but like how
Starting point is 01:55:50 why is it this bad did something happen what's going like you know I don't really back to uh reddit okay um I was taking the southbound red in Chicago during winter time a few years ago And three people wearing balaclava, I think this is like a weapon or something. Are these like brass knuckles? Balaclavas? Balaclavas? Baklava? Baklava. Entered my car, which was already pretty full. So this is the red, it must be a subway. Two were standing in front of one exit and the other guy was standing in front of the other.
Starting point is 01:56:31 I saw them scan people in the car in my peripheral vision then the guy standing alone looked over at the other two and gave them the okay nod I felt like something was about to go down so I got off the next stop and walked the rest of the way home fortunately was not stopped by one of those guys when I passed them probably because there are other people in the car about 10 minutes later I got a ping from the citizen app saying something along the lines of robbery shooting at the next station i passed the next station on the walk back and saw tons of cop cars along with an ambulance packed parked at the entrance that's sad yeah i really want to think like she's on the episode this is getting kind of long
Starting point is 01:57:18 it always is but i feel like a time when i was like oh i just got i just avoided that like a safety thing you know like I feel like if I had something it'd be like really vivid in my mind and I'd be like oh my god I remember when trying to think of animals because I grew up around a lot of farm animals and stuff like did I almost like get charged by something or kicked or bucked off or bitten or I feel like I do have a lot of sketchy situation stories but nothing where I'm like because I did this or I made this decision during the sketchy situation I like survived or whatever you know it hasn't been like that I know of but that crazy um
Starting point is 01:58:16 yeah like what comes to mind I've gotten like hurt a lot you know just stuff happening or you like fall or trying to think like because you know like I feel like I have okay this is annoying
Starting point is 01:58:38 I can't think of something right now I have to pee sorry tmi should i read like gossip on reddit like what's the gossip right now you know like what's happening in the influencer world like who's getting what's the drama there was some like birkenbag drama i saw i really i don't really care um, with like Danielle Bernstein. I used to follow her back in the day. I don't really know. She's still doing the fashion stuff.
Starting point is 01:59:30 I don't know. I don't care. Um, Birkin bag drama. You know what I mean? Like all of this is like, who fucking cares? What do I care about right now I care about and honestly this was the highlight of my week I'll just tell you um today podcasting highlighted my week was a little rough I can admit um I always say that and I think that's why I need to start podcasting at least two days a week I think I'm gonna I'm gonna do this again on Friday I just need to do it more I feel well behind the scenes I'm in this phase of growth with the show that I've never been in, which is fun and exciting and cool. But like, um, it's, uh, it's like my, uh, what do I call it?
Starting point is 02:00:27 My, oh my God, you guys, I'm falling apart. It's like my home, my home base or my home. What am I saying? my, like, I always fall back on my podcast whenever, like with everything. It's like, um, it's always here. It's never going away. Like, even if I like don't post this week or not, like whatever, like if I don't post in a week, it's like, it's always going to be here.
Starting point is 02:00:54 Like you can always guarantee that I will be podcasting. Like, or you can, I can, I can guarantee that like is so, but with that being said, like, I just feel like I'm in this phase of like needing, needing to do it more. And, um, I know I like took a couple months off. I was, that was a strategy thing for again, like behind the scenes stuff, but that's like annoying. Cause I can't tell you, but then now I'm like, okay, I don't need to worry about that shit anymore that I was working on. So now I can like go and do it more. But then, yeah, when I, when I don't show up every week or like multiple times a week like I used to it just feels like I don't know guys my the highlight of my week was
Starting point is 02:01:39 yeah this podcast and honestly grocery shopping making beauty videos decorating for fall buying pumpkins going oh my god we went to the pumpkin patch I'm looking at my camera roll doing all the fall things pumpkin patch what else um oh my gosh working on our backyard so we have we're we're landscaping the shit out of our backyard right now like we keep buying plants like every weekend we're going to the nursery and buying plants and um yeah my my highlight or just like my life right now is very wholesome and beautiful and lovely and I'm enjoying and this year I am enjoying or this year I will be embracing fall and winter and the cold season and the dark season and the dark times. Like I think this,
Starting point is 02:02:32 this last year in San Diego was the first year where I admitted to myself that San Diego, San Diego gets cold. We do have a winter stop. Like I had to tell myself, like, you cannot fight this anymore. It's not always sunny in San Diego. It's not always warm in San Diego. It's not always 75 and sunny like it does get really cold to the point where you're like I need a coat I need a puffy coat I need a rain jacket I need to like bundle up and wear layers and I can't just like wear a tank top and shorts every day so this year I'm like I got a new by the way I just like cleaned out my closet again like I keep doing that but I got some new jackets that are warm that I'm gonna wear all fall and winter and I have been I've been buying sweaters okay I've
Starting point is 02:03:19 and getting some like fall warm things and you know I'm like actually like I'm feeling the vibes this year and I'm not like fighting it I always feel the fall vibes and like the the holiday like warm and fuzzy feelings with like Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas but this year I'm this year I'm I feel like I'm gonna enjoy it more because I know what's coming and I'm not gonna fight the cold. Cause I hate being cold. That that's the thing. I hate being cold so much that. So I moved to San Diego. Like I'm like, I need to be in the sunshine. Like that's how much I hate the cold. Um, but yeah, now I'm prepared mentally and physically with my warm clothing. And it's like, God, we're blessed to live here though. It's a, it's a mild winter compared to
Starting point is 02:04:08 some other places speaking of chicago like so much more mild than the midwest and the northeast and um do we have anything else i don't know i just i'm gonna podcast on friday come hell or high water i'm doing it we gotta i need to do this more i feel out of sorts when i'm not doing it more regularly and oh I had a scary thing happen speaking of health every now and then like a lymph node on my neck will swell up and I'm like what the fuck is this this one scared me so much to the point where I was like I was at the store this is when I bought my leather jacket I was like in the dressing room and I like felt my neck and I started like getting instant anxiety like oh my god what is this lump
Starting point is 02:04:56 you know it's officially like gone and down I'm pretty sure it was a lymph node but it was bigger than usual and it was like it felt like it was literally like on my jugular vein like blocking like I thought it was part of my vein and it was like a clogged thing you know I was like what the hell and then of course I took a million pictures and sent it to chat gbt and it was like relax bitch it's probably just a swollen lymph node people your age like yeah you should be worried you should be checking for those things but like it's you know not the chat gbt is always right but um anything else on my camera roll here did i tell you guys we went to a music festival have we talked since then we went to the cross
Starting point is 02:05:39 fest here um it's funny how like I'll just tell you like marital drama it's not even drama at all but like it's so funny how we get a Corey and I get along about most things like pretty much everything right it's so funny when we've been picking out picking out these plants for our backyard we kind of butt heads and it's so funny how we butt heads because he okay this is what I realized about Corey and I and the difference in how we think he is it's just it's funny because like we both have the same vision for the backyard but in terms of like how it gets done and how it happens or it's different we have a we don't have the same vision or like the way we get it done is different or the way we think we
Starting point is 02:06:43 should get it done is different right in our minds so he and this is so like guy brain versus girl brain I think or my brain especially just Jacqueline he is so like action oriented solution direction oriented, um, ABC, like, let's just get it done. Like go, go, go just dig the whole plant, the plant. Okay. He's like very much, um, like that's how his brain works, which is amazing. So I never have to worry if shit's going to get done because it's done yesterday. Okay. He's very quick at getting shit done. And anyways, I'm like, and the thing is, is like, we're both thinking 10 steps ahead okay no what here's how I think okay so I'm also like okay let's get shit done but I'm like what did I say I said it so perfectly to him because I was painting the picture after I
Starting point is 02:07:44 was like wait this is how we are when we get into it when we are dealing with the plants I'm like I'm I can't or I also what did I say I said I'm thinking he thinks fast I said I think slow oh my god I'm falling apart I said it so perfectly he thinks it's like um in boxing or whatever it's like slow means fast fast means slow it's like a it's like a like a phrase you've probably heard but I'm like I'm thinking of I'm more slow in studying methodical right and the reason why is because he's thinking of the this is what it is it's like when we were dealing with the plants we were buying the plants and it was like okay we got to plant the plants he's thinking about the next step right of like okay
Starting point is 02:08:34 we got to get this backyard done so we need to plant the plants we got to put the plant in the ground right and I'm like I'm also like I want the plants in the ground I want our backyard to be beautifully landscaped but the reason why I'm not fast about it is because I'm thinking of 10 steps ahead and then I'm working backwards trying to like mitigate as many like like challenges and hang-ups with planting the plants right away as possible because if we plant them right away what if this comes up and what if this comes up down the line I want to make sure we avoid that so I'm thinking ahead that far because if we have to like I don't want to get into the weeds about specifics but like location of the plants and like if they grow are we gonna have
Starting point is 02:09:15 our legs scratched when we walk down the stairs from this plant if we put it there should we put it here and like I'm calculating all this I'm very I'm like so methodical and slow about it in my mind and he's like we just gotta put the plants in the ground I'm like but anyways it's funny I said it so perfectly I wish I could repeat it I said I'm just always I'm always thinking of like risk management or crisis aversion or like how I can yeah which we balance each other out so perfectly in that way because shit gets done because the way he thinks and then shit will get done like the right way the right way okay or like the more like methodical thought out way because of me does that make sense um because he's like ripped the band-aid off let's just
Starting point is 02:10:08 fucking do it and we'll figure it out like I'm like no no I don't want to have to dig up plants because we put them in the wrong spot like I want to think about this but um it's kind of like when you buy fish though I will say we planted like 60 plants on in our backyard there we have more there's still fucking plants and pots we have to plant but um it's kind of like when you buy fish it's really sad when you buy like 20 fish for a fish tank three of them die you know and like overnight and you're like fuck you know you lost three there's like three bushes that just I don't think are gonna make it they got transplant shock when you transplant the plants into the new soil but anywho um I'm getting dry mouth that probably means it's time to end the podcast
Starting point is 02:10:55 just for funsies what's on the breaking news right now did i miss anything as i was podcasting did anything come through um arson suspect generated chat gbt image of burning city before starting deadly palisades fire authorities say that's wild i don't know disney pairs aggressive discounts with small price increases parks here's why yeah like there's no one going to disneyland anymore um the numbers are down there oh it's fucking playoffs for baseball Travis Kelsey
Starting point is 02:11:59 sort of shares thoughts about the song Wood Taylor Swift's tribute to his manhood I mean just this headline like it's so not like this is so uncool
Starting point is 02:12:15 like it's so uncool like not that she's ever been like a this whole the it's just the dick thing it's like the the the cringe sexual references of this album it's like and and the internet language that she used it's like for her and that's why people are like these are all the reject songs that didn't make it on the other albums or whatever but like it's just so not like when you're writing an album it's like you knew this was going to be a headline you
Starting point is 02:12:58 knew this what people are going to be talking about about referencing Travis Kelsey's tank and like the fact that because of course they'll that that is oh the song's about knocking on wood and whatever the fuck she said or like I think or no she was on an interview I think with Fallon and she was like it started from a really innocent place this song and then here we ended up here I mean it's kind of tongue-in-cheek and funny and like okay but I don't know if she cares about being like cool and like not cringe I guess I don't know she said new heights in the song like referring to like um Travis goes it's a great song Travis Kelsey said which which clear which oh my god and the episode it's a great song Travis Kelsey said which clearly
Starting point is 02:13:58 wasn't enough for Jason Kelsey who followed up by asking do you feel cocky about the song would no any song that you know she references me in travis kelsey began to say before jason cut them that's not just any song jason kelsey said this is a very specific you travis kelsey pretended to be clueless i love that girl so what do you mean he said he's okay i'm sorry but travis kelsey's personality type though like i get why they work you know what I mean like I do see I don't know if I could handle his he's like hold on I almost just want to like let me just type in Travis Kelsey because it reminds me of okay yeah handsome tall you know tall dark and handsome football player cool like quote unquote
Starting point is 02:14:58 like hot guy type. Okay. But maybe it's just because of the way he is on his podcast. I don't know, like the interview sometimes. I feel like he's a little immature. I don't know how to explain it. There's like different brands, different levels to dork. You know what I mean? Like there's like a different and they're like a it's a spectrum right like dork is a spectrum but like it's all about finding someone who because dorky is a good it's okay to be to have that dorky side but it can't be like annoying dork and I feel like for me Travis Kelsey is like annoying dork he thinks dad jokes are funny type of shit type shit I don't know what I'm saying Cory's the first man I've ever known that's like actually funny like actually fun like
Starting point is 02:16:09 it's not even a it's not even subjective like it's just there's yeah in his parents he gets his good his good timing from his parents he gets his from both of his parents are the same way it's like all we do when we hang out is just like laugh and joke and it's just like fun but I think like
Starting point is 02:16:32 some people are like dad joke funny I feel like that's how Travis Kelsey is in anyways I need to like look at more interviews I kind of forget but like from what I've seen I'm like it's just kind of dorky Um, I always take note at what people laugh their ass off at. Like when people laugh their ass off at something, like they think it's like a, it's like the funniest joke ever. And you're just
Starting point is 02:17:05 completely blank, like stare, like that wasn't funny at all. And I feel like that's got like, like guy to guy humor to like guys, like this type of shit, like Corey would be like, so-and-so sent me this it's so funny and I'll watch it I'm like no reaction like that wasn't funny but yet Corey is the funniest person I know but like the things he thinks are funny are not funny to me it's just how guys are it's like they're stupid boy not brain pea brain immature boy brain all right oh so he was born in 1989 too wait when's Taylor Swift's birthday so he's October wait He just had his birthday, October 5th, 1989, Taylor Swift birthday. December 13th. Oh, so that's why she, so she likes 13.
Starting point is 02:18:05 I wonder if that's why I like the number seven. It's cause I'm seven, seven.
