The Jacqueline Monroe Show - 416- "2026 Is The New 2016"

Episode Date: January 20, 2026

Apparently, 2026 is the new 2016. After a year of AI slop, skeletal Ozempic bodies, uncanny facelifts, and a general sense that nothing feels real anymore, it feels right to revisit the last moment of... peak millennial optimism.Back then, you walked into a house party with a White Claw, lace-up crop top, choker necklace, no upper lip, the Snapchat dog filter locked and loaded, and the entire world ahead of you. We talk 2016 nostalgia stories, the birth of Instagram face, and how Insta-baddie culture made everyone hotter, identical, and somehow more boring, and whether that whole aesthetic might finally be on its way out. Then it’s life updates. Getting drunk off mocktails. Cosplaying as an Italian grandmother because I can’t stop making pasta. Co-sleeping with our bulldog. A golf swing update. Living among mice. The Seahawks crushing the 49ers this playoff season. Side-eyeing neighbors who built a brand-new house and still refuse to mow their lawn. In the news, we get into celebrity mom group drama involving Hilary Duff and Ashley Tisdale, the Pennsylvania man arrested after authorities discovered hundreds of human skulls in his home, Alex Honnold free-soloing Taipei 101, Saks Fifth Avenue filing for bankruptcy, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ upside-down food pyramid reboot, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, Harry Styles’ new album (Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally), Golden Globes podcast snubs, and male celebrity aging theories. The episode closes with a blunt discussion about protests against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minneapolis, where things have gone too far, why defending criminal behavior isn’t compassion, and why enforcement is never going to look gentle, even when it’s uncomfortable to watch.Unscripted, opinionated, and very online. Starting point is 00:00:00 Okay, 2026 is the new 2016. Let's just jump right into it. Hi, it's Jacqueline. Welcome back to the show. Hi, happy Friday, January 16th at 2 16 p.m. Let's not talk about why I'm recording this late in the afternoon on a Friday. Actually, I'll just, I have two things to say. In an alternate universe where you don't get dinged and striked and taken down and arrested and put behind bars for playing copyrighted music. The background song, there's no intro music on purpose right now because there isn't a, there isn't a song on my Rodecaster Pro 2 to set the vibe, the 2016 vibe correctly. Okay. I like, I'm not giving you this. This is not 2016. Okay. We've heard that enough on my show. We're not doing intro music in an alternate universe. When you don't get
Starting point is 00:00:57 deemed for playing copyrighted music, I would be playing bad and bougie by Migos featuring little Uzi vert and produced by Metro boom and G coop, whoever the fuck that is. And it would be going a little something like this because, okay, raindrop, drop top, smoking on cookie in the hot box, fucking on your bitchy at that. Okay. You guys know the song. I saw a TikTok that gave me goosebumps of a house party for back in 2016. And it was bumping so hard, like the cut, like the colorful lights, people standing on top of random furniture. It was just like a shitty house in college. You know, we've all been there or hopefully I really hope if you're listening right now. You got to go through that. I, that's the year I graduated college. Um, it gave me
Starting point is 00:01:45 goosebumps. That was such a beautiful time. And I understand why everyone is reminiscing on it right now. This is the, this is the week of 2016. Okay. Um, so putting a pin on that, why am I recording at two 18? Now it's two 18 PM on a Friday afternoon when I never record this late in the day, I got drunk off a mocktail okay I'm doing dry Jan doing dry January I fully got drunk I don't know okay it's it was fucking kava kava whatever that is it's it's it was like oh this is gonna promote relaxation why did I get drunk okay I felt drunk off this stupid mocktail I don't I don't know the name of the the brand it was like a kava elfianine ashwagandha it was like this nootropic blend to promote relaxation and make you feel so i was just i was just looking to feel something okay
Starting point is 00:02:43 it's halfway through the month i haven't had a cocktail in now 16 days and i was just like i was at sprouts and i was like i just want to feel something and they had this whole non-alcoholic section for january and i i dabbled okay i picked up a couple cans i was like i'm gonna try these out. Um, and woke up groggy as shit. Okay. Woke up groggy as shit. Uh, slept in, missed the gym, didn't go to spin class. Okay. So tired all morning, blah, blah, blah. You hear, you know, the whole nine yards of, or, you know, the whole nine yards of, if I don't like work out or start recording first thing in the day, when my brain is fresh, then it's a shit show. and here we are in the afternoon. Um, this, the amount of beverages, this is so January
Starting point is 00:03:31 coded. Like last week it was black coffee and water. And now I'm just trying to mix up beverages to stimulate me that are not alcohol on the set today to wake me up and, and make me feel something. So we've got a Celsius. Okay. We're doing the strawberry passion fruit. I only did half of it. I'm, I'm trying to not overdo the caffeine today. Um, I don't think I, I, I woke up from a nap. Okay. 15 minutes ago I was asleep. So I'm like coming out of it. It's like, this is wake up with me. This episode is wake up with me on a Friday afternoon. Let's reminisce about 2016. We have news, life updates, 2016, the whole typical, what am I going to call it? The smorgasbord, what am I, like the whole list, the regular programming for you today
Starting point is 00:04:30 on the show, okay? So we're doing, yeah, a Celsius mixed with this gingerberry, unfortunately non-alcoholic kombucha because you all know if you listen to last week I I could I love alcoholic kombucha that is like the drink of choice if I go anywhere and they have it that's what I'm ordering over anything else um and then this 100% Sicilian lemon juice um a dash of that and then I had this you guys I literally made this never mind um speaking of my Sicilian lemon juice if you haven't been following me on Instagram I am now cosplaying as an Italian grandmother I can't stop making pasta I'm just leaning in okay I've gotten oh yeah are you Italian my whole life and now I'm
Starting point is 00:05:21 just leaning in I'm like you know what I'm not but like I'll start making pasta from scratch for the fuck of it now and I'll start like branding myself as this Italian bitch for fun because it kind of I kind of like look at myself and then I look at my pictures and I'm like I look at my content I'm like yeah like if I start posting pasta pictures next to my uh thirst traps like this will or they're not even thirst traps my like classy thirst traps because that's kind of what I do now um I only have like one really fucking risque picture on my Instagram and I will not be taking it down um I just won't um so yeah I'm like rebranding as an Italian grandmother Italian glamorous glam grandmother who makes pasta every day over on Instagram if you haven't
Starting point is 00:06:02 been following me there by the way we'll just do this music fuck it my bitch is bad and bougie cooking up dope with the news um please hit that subscribe button wherever you're listening right now i'm on apple spotify google podcast stitcher breaker overcast wherever you're listening to podcast please hit that subscribe button and review the show five stars while you're there follow me on instagram and tiktok at jacqueline monroe subscribe to my youtube channel this is video and audio podcast and finally if you want to support the show patreon.com slash tjms patreon.com slash tjms all right let's get into it 2026 is the new 2016
Starting point is 00:06:48 bitch is bad and bougie damn that song when i watch that tiktok damn it i'm getting old it's like 2016 was 10 years ago let me house this before i keep talking because i need this caffeine in me because my wow that was uh okay hurry how are you thank you for choosing my podcast today I'm very grateful for your listenership and your subscriptionship and your followership I hope you're doing well I hope you're having a great start to the new year by the way this should be the last month of the year. January is the Monday of months. It's like moving through thick sludge and tar every day. It's still dark. It's cold. January should be how we end the year. December is like,
Starting point is 00:07:49 Oh, you know, we're celebrating the holidays. It's like fun. Everyone's like Mary. And then you go into, and then you'd like crash into January. And that's like, physically it's such, it's such a heavy like bullshit month and it's like that's you crap like physically we were all like fat and like over the holidays and then that's when everyone's like new year new you like get off your ass get off stop eating the cookies like like do a goal straight or complete a goal like complete a goal do a goal straight job set a goal for 30 like do something in January that's stick to a like what is it stick to your goal set a goal for the new year and stick to it for the next 30 minimum of 21 days because that's the average of like when people fall off the wagon
Starting point is 00:08:43 but like it's so raw raw that shit and it's like no we're still in sweatpants we're still freezing it's still dark we're still eating more than we probably should because it's just like cold out um I think the natural curvature of the season season should be spring the first month is March February feels like two or it's when everything starts like waking back up right it's like that should be that should be the start of the year so anyways I hope you're doing well I hope your January is going well I hope I was very dark and depressing last week I literally started off the episode like welcome back to hell 2025 is or 2026 is basically we're still it's like 2025 again just death people dying bad news toxic awful bullshit news every day and
Starting point is 00:09:47 but we we're we're we're staying positive today because something I love about the internet I talk a lot of shit about the internet but something I love about the internet is how we all band together every now and then and we do a little stupid trend and it bonds us it makes us it connects us we're all doing it together like you know it started with the celebrities everyone's posting their photo dump of 2016 and they're like you just had to be there and it's like where how long did it take people to find these old photos where are they keeping them are they I'm like do I have 2016 photos I feel like the only way I have archived Instagram photos that I went back to to find mine and I never post them by the way I'm just not
Starting point is 00:10:36 doing that. Um, it'll mess up my new Italian glamorous, uh, chef, uh, Instagram vibe. Okay. Like I just, I posted a little, I, I sang in my car. Okay. I lip synced in my car to old songs. That's what I did for my 2016 post. Go look at my Instagram. 15 people liked it. Okay. It's been a Okay. So that's what I, that was my contribution to the trend, but I love how everyone's doing this. It's like such a, what I'm saying is this last year was AI slop. Everything is AI and it's there, there's like pictures of, you can do it, Jacqueline. You can actually do it. You're actually like, Hey, Jacqueline, you're on year six, you can do it. You can do it. And everything was AI slop. Everyone was like,
Starting point is 00:11:35 fuck AI that we don't want this. Like, this is so dumb or whatever. Like this is ruining society and dah, dah, dah. And I love how the culture clap back and they're like, we're just going to throw it back to 2016. We're going to throw it back to 2016. And we're going to reminisce on the time when we felt optimistic about the future and when we had the whole world ahead of us. Okay. we had a choker neck in my case I'm wearing it on the set today we're on on the set I'm wearing it on this is my part of my outfit today it's not only Seahawks swag it's spirit day okay I don't go to a high school or college anymore to rep the school mascot or and colors on a Friday so I'm doing it today on a Friday for the Seattle Seahawks because they're playing tomorrow against the 49ers
Starting point is 00:12:22 so I'm wearing Seahawks hat Seahawks sweatshirt we're missing a middle fingernail don't zoom in on my middle finger please I'm making up for it with a beautiful emerald ring that was a gift for my aunt on the finger next to it so there's that and then I'm wearing I busted out my choker necklace this is one of those plastic like like elastic plastic elastic choker if you know what I'm saying? Like the OG choker. I busted that out today. Okay. We, back in the day, so 2016, it was like, I had a choker necklace and the whole world ahead of me. That's how I felt. It was a very optimistic time. Yeah. A choker necklace, the dog filter and the whole world ahead of me. Yeah. I think last year was, yeah. AI slop, self-optimization, facelifts, ozempic,
Starting point is 00:13:19 sleep scores. It's gotten so late. And then it's like, we've maxed out the self-optimization to the point where you're, sorry, you guys, let me just chug this a little more. 2016 was the beginning of Instagram face okay it was the beginning of Instagram face and Instagram baddie culture and 10 years later the pendulum has swung so far where it's getting too much like the the Instagram face is uncanny now like people are overdoing it and now they're getting everything dissolved or they're just fully getting a new face okay because it got all fucked up with the filler and I think the baddie culture is dying I think the Instagram over
Starting point is 00:14:18 sexualized Instagram baddie content is I don't know it's like it's I don't think that's gonna go away I just feel like it's not as um we're so numb to it now like we see people's ass and tits and we're just like, whatever, it's another day on Instagram. But I think it's like gone so far the other way now where, yeah, now people are just getting, they're, I don't know what I'm saying. They're on Ozempic and they're getting a new face. Like that was a trend of 2025, whatever.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Back to 2016, it was the era of optimism, millennial optimism. The last time we really felt free. I think people are confusing 2016 as like for really, I would say the 2010s through 2016 was like the last year. That's the year we all look back on really fondly. And then heart rate's getting too high.
Starting point is 00:15:21 You guys, I can do this. Thank you for being here. Thanks for chugging through this with me. I am, I'm showing up for you today and I'm not skipping recording because I'm here for you. I love doing this. and we're gonna get through it um but I think back to like 2010 2011 2012 20 I'd say maybe like 2011 through 2016 that era the tumblr era that we're still wearing that was and then when I look
Starting point is 00:15:49 back at all everyone's pictures I'm like skinny jeans everyone was wearing skinny jeans back then it was like flannels around the waist, skinny jeans, lace up tops. Like everything was a lace up. Every crop top was a lace up crop top. We even cut big t-shirts, big graphic tees. Like I would do this for football games. Like you would take your big XL, like maybe you're, you like ponded off a football player or whatever. You like, you would like cut a V shape in the front and then you would leave I don't know I don't know if anyone remembers this you would leave like the collar of the of the big t-shirt and then you would stitch you take like a shoestring like literally a tennis shoestring and you would crisscross it in the front of the t-shirt and
Starting point is 00:16:36 you'd wear that maybe like off the shoulder or no you want it because of the collar thing and like it was everything was crisscross um oh of course the matte lipstick and the instagram or not the Instagram, the, um, what do they call it? The, the brows, the block brows, the, the Anastasia Beverly Hills, uh, what do you call it? The, um, dip brow. Everyone had like huge, thick, drawn on brows. You would do your concealer like crazy thick, um, darker eye makeup for sure. It's okay to breathe, Jacqueline. It's okay. I actually do have the Kylie lip kit with me today. so I'm wearing the choker I'm not I didn't I should have I was gonna do 2016 makeup for this episode but I'm like I don't need to go that hard I don't need to put in that much effort
Starting point is 00:17:28 that could be just a makeup tutorial I do on the side when I'm not recording just for fun I don't know I feel like I still do 2016 makeup honestly we're leaning in we're gonna do a palette cleanser to help me so I can deep breathe, okay? Play the game, but play it your way and make it fun. Play the game, but play it in a way that you enjoy, that works for you, and that is fun. Even if that means you have to tweak or modify or change or break some rules, so be it.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Even if you end up playing an entirely different game by the end, it doesn't matter. You're still playing the game, just your way and making it fun. Make it fun. Play the game, play it your way, and make it fun. That had some nice dark energy to it, but I think it's a great message. It's your life. Life is a game. Do it your way and make it fun.
Starting point is 00:18:41 there are no rules there's no I always say this there's no manual like you pop out your baby or just like I am here and then anything is possible I've always thought that and that's that's my delusional you could say delusional mindset thing I have but I truly believe that like just play the game play it your way and make it fun okay 2016 we did it we talked about it I feel like it's been um yeah these photo dumps so I'm like damn it's crazy how much everyone like this is my take too I feel like everyone since 2016 got hotter but more boring like everyone's like hotter now the face works better but also it's getting too I said it's getting too Instagram facey it too it's gone too far but I feel like everything
Starting point is 00:19:41 is people are more boring now I don't know it's like not as um back then you would just post your you'd buy like a new pair of Nikes and you just like sit crisscross applesauce by like a flower like a daisy in the grass in the grass on your on your school campus somewhere and you like just post that on Instagram so you I feel like people were more free about how they posted and so that made them more seem more interesting where now there's this super um specific way to post a photo dump that everyone does and it's the same formula that everyone is so everyone's morphing into the same person now um anyway so I think people became I feel like everyone got hotter I don't know if it's because the cameras are better
Starting point is 00:20:32 the face tweaks are getting like the what are people doing now that they weren't doing in 2016 you know what why don't I just open I should have just opened with this it shouldn't be the 2016 challenge it should be the show everyone your real upper lip challenge so I'm saying oh yeah everyone got hotter but it's because everyone has an upper lip now people have people have been working on their facial balancing for the last 10 years so that's the stark difference when you look back at the 2016 photos which I know it's they're more I know they're more pixelated and they're not as high quality as the pictures we get now from people but also no one had an upper lip and their face balancing wasn't as snatched as it is now because
Starting point is 00:21:15 that's what everyone gets done um so so or since then that's what everyone's been getting done so I definitely did not have an upper lip in 2016 um I was thinking about doing 2016 stories like juicy stories things I got up to on a Saturday night going out like what I would do you know before um I just feel like the highlight of that era was getting ready to go out with my friends like going over to my friend Anna's apartment like playing music going into her bathroom doing our makeup for like two hours straight like getting ready like switching we would like I'd bring a entire it was always like a laundry basket full of outfit options and I always ended up
Starting point is 00:22:07 wearing this same formula of a crop top and skinny jeans and a heeled boot and then I'd always have a jacket that I'd throw in the bush somewhere because I'd always get rid of my jacket but um we all we had this like secret bush we'd hide our not a secret bush but like we'd there's like there's a bush by this bar that we would ditch our coats in before we went into the bar and the next morning we drive by and pick it up so I feel like yeah that that was the highlight getting ready playing music having a little pre-game cocktail and then going out and it was Pullman Washington it was usually I mean this time at this time it was I'm thinking of like football season it was freezing um we'd go we'd bar hop there's three bars we'd go to go to I think
Starting point is 00:22:54 Mike's is gone now I don't think they um I think they it's called stubble fields but everyone called it Mike's something like that um and you'd end up there that's when it turned into like a club vibe and you would go downstairs and it was disgusting and you know you were like in my case it was like where are the tall people where are the football player tall people that are coming in after the game waiting for them to show up and then yeah I have so many stories about that like I had a fling with a football player like all through college I a fling I don't know what you call it I feel like I had a I had a regular football player situation ship and that was fun at least I'm happy I had that experience like it was 20 it was the 2016 era was
Starting point is 00:23:46 2014 15 and 16 when I was there and yeah I got to experience college game days going out wearing the stupid lace-up crop tops and the fucking 2016 makeup looks and getting ready before the games with my friends and like having the full college experience going out chasing boys like um going to frats and sororities and like going to the parties there and I remember like one time I just like would I didn't know a lot of people in college like I wasn't in a sorority or um obviously I was going to say a sorority or fraternity, but, um, I didn't have like a million friends in college. And so I would just kind of show up places and see what happened. Like I would just wander in and I totally got the, who do you know here? Who do you know here? Shit from people. And I would,
Starting point is 00:24:39 but see, I think one of the worst things about me when I get super drunk is that I, you know this is a this is a good topic for dry January isn't it like let's tell drunk stories my friends always say they're like you're you're um the thing about you is that you're a wanderer we're always like where's Jacqueline like I just wander the fuck off and it's scary like I've had I've had bad experiences wandering off and things bad things happening to me when I wander off okay um yeah I would just kind of like dip out of the the bars and I just find a find a frat party going on and I would just walk in and the girls would, they would fucking stare me down. And I was like, cause I never felt like I fit in. There was like the hot chick prototype of call, like the college
Starting point is 00:25:27 hot chick prototype everywhere at these frats. Like the, the, you know, I wasn't, I was Burnett and like, um, one of the worst things, one of these, Oh my God, this guy dated or didn't date him I didn't date anyone called I had a boyfriend I had my first couple years of college I had like a regular boyfriend and then I had like situationships okay and then I had a boyfriend after college for a brief stint and then that was it but one of the guys in college that I hooked up with was literally like he basically was like oh you have a pretty face but you're too fat like he called me fat he's like you're fat like in a text he did this whole long text and he's like because I caught with his roommate like he I met him first and then I ended up with
Starting point is 00:26:19 his roommate because I went and met the roommate when I hung out their house and I was like oh you're the hotter you're the hotter roommate bye like one of those things then he called me fat and he but he's like you know you're pretty but you're too fat um and then what's crazy is all of these people I meant I'm mentioning and I've in general just any man I've ever crossed crossed paths with in my entire life and this is the motto that my friends and I have it's they always come back around every single 100% of them usually it takes minimum a year usually it's around like two three sometimes like four or five six years later they'll circle back and they'll hit me up or in this case the the football player I had the thing with I moved to San Diego and he's like you're the
Starting point is 00:27:04 love of my life and like you're the one that got away and this shit like he had a girlfriend at the time he like couldn't break up with I mean but he wanted to be with me it was like a really stupid thing but all of them do that and even the even the guy that called me fat the roommate he circled back to they all circle back it's just I don't know what I think guys just keep a roster and they just they're like oh yeah that one chick and then they're like oh I remember her and then they like see I don't know if she's still interested I don't it's great I'm so happy I'm out of that though I'm so grateful for that time of my life I had so many great experiences and but it was so much chaos and unpredictability and uncertainty and drama and crying and like
Starting point is 00:27:52 pits in my stomach and feeling like you know just like what the fuck why can't they just be solid and nice and normal and why do they have to play games everything about my college 2016 era was just games playing games and that's that's the fun in it though there's like a fun in that. But now I'm literally yesterday FaceTiming Corey. We both looked or we both are on FaceTime and I'm like, I fucking love married life. He's like, he FaceTimed me because I got him all these new plants for his office. I told you guys about my Christmas gift to him was redoing his entire office and I got I got him all these new plants and he facetimes me and he's like walking outside his office like going pretty far outside and I'm like he's like I want to show you this because I
Starting point is 00:28:51 think I know you would think it's cute and he literally just fucking he like took the plant outside and set it in the sun in some in like the parking lot of his office and he's like oh I want to show you this I'm keeping the plant alive I'm taking care of it because he doesn't have a lot of good sunlight in his office um and then I was like oh my gosh honey look at my plants because we have these two olive trees these baby olive trees that I'm trying to nurse back to health and then I'm showing him my olive trees and I'm like this is I I am so far removed from that past life of fucking playing games with guys and dealing with that roller coaster and now I'm like facetiming my
Starting point is 00:29:39 husband about taking care of our plants and last night we like dividing we did a divide and conquer with laundry and dishes and we were just so like obsessed with how our routine of that went it's like dumb shit like that so anyways I'm very grateful for that time but I love consistency reliability I love stability I love all the healthy things that come with this chapter of my life and I'm very grateful for for that um but another story I have for you that's gonna blend into the life updates is um a college story is about this farmhouse that I lived in briefly with my sister that had a mice infestation so right now life update this is kind of a blend between we're going to go from 2016 college stories into life updates. Corey and I, I told you about the
Starting point is 00:30:38 mouse that we found in our house when we got back from New York. It slithered its way into my sourdough dough that was rising and got stuck in there. And that's how we found it. The traps are coming today. I don't know why it took us this long. It's because I don't want to kill them. Okay. I don't want to get the traps. I don't want to put them to death. I don't want to kill the mice. Okay. I just, I'm like, I'm cool with cleaning up a couple of turds with my hypochlorous acid and my rubbing alcohol in my kitchen. They're always like in the corner of the counter, like not like all over everything. There's like two turds every morning. And I'm like, well, I don't think mice are gross. I don't think mice are gross. I think mice have gotten a
Starting point is 00:31:22 bad rap rap rap and in rats and I think they're I think they're I'm cool with them I'm actually really cool with them anyways the farmhouse so I moved a lot in college my biggest regret in college was not leaning into joining a sorority because I immediately judged that the second I found out about what the fuck a sorority is whenever whatever age that was and also my sister was in one and it didn't go that well for her I I was very much like I'm not like other girls I don't want to go into the sorority life because I don't want to turn into a clone I want to stay an individual I want to have my own thing going on I like the idea of having my own apartment and having my own space and not having to share a bunk hall with a bunch of other chicks and I wish I leaned into
Starting point is 00:32:14 that and actually went through it and actually did it because I think I would have, my college experience would be completely, completely different. I might've hated it, but I think it would have been good for me in terms of meeting more people and having more activities and things to do in college. Cause I basically worked out, went to class, worked out again, went home and like watch TV and went to bed, like rinse, repeat my, oh. And I also worked full-time at a boutique and an antique store boutique consignment place. Forgot about that. So I was also working to support myself in college. Cool. Um, but I moved a lot. I loved having my own apartment, but I wish I would have had roommates. I never, I had a, I had one roommate in college for like three months.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Um, this girl named Katie, she was really cool. We, we shared a place, um, had one roommate. And then after college, I lived in this huge house. We, I think our rent was like 600 a month. We lived in this like four bedroom, four bath house. It was like 600 a month. And I lived with, um, this guy, what was his name? Jamal? No. DJ. He's a DJ. DJ. Fuck. Why can't I remember his name? Jamal? Not Jamal. Anyways. So I had a roommate for, um, like a year. We were roommates um why can't I think of his name anyway so but I also roomed back to the farmhouse with my sister for I want to say we lived there like six months I never really lived anywhere for a long time it was probably the most I ever lived anywhere was like was a year and then my lease
Starting point is 00:33:55 would be up and then I'd move um but my sister worked at this farm this seed farm because Pullman Washington where I went to college is out in the middle of bumfuck nowhere in Washington it's it's a bunch of rolling wheat fields farmland and then there's the college town and if you didn't know I think back in the day when they were building colleges around the U.S. they um they had what do you call it that land was zoned or subsidized what do you call it by the government for colleges only and so that's why you have all these random colleges in the middle of nowhere um like big schools right so that's what Pullman was my sister worked at a farm a seed farm or something and the owners of the place or people she worked with there were renting out this farmhouse that
Starting point is 00:34:46 was theirs I don't know it was a rental or something and it was a three-bedroom three two-bath house on this farm that was a pretty far drive from the college and I was working at the college at the time after I graduated I had my first big big girl job and the creepiest thing about this house was that and it's also like the dead of winter there was always snow right like it's so much there's so much snow on the ground it's freezing it's the dead of winter it's pitch black there's no other houses around it's literally like when you go on a road trip and you see like a house with a huge driveway and you're like who the fuck lives there and like how do they go grocery shopping and like where's the nearest town for
Starting point is 00:35:31 them to like have a nice Saturday and dink around and like where is that that's the kind of house we lived in and uh oh my god so the creepiest thing was it had this cellar it had a it had a swing an old tree with a swing set next to it like a creaky like you you know you hear the swing in the wind at night like you know one of those creepy old swing sets and then it had this cellar that went into the side of the hill because everything's rolling hills it was kind of like you know the hobbit houses in lord of the rings it was kind of giving like oh wait we're not saying it's giving in 2026 it was reminiscent of the hobbit house doors where it's like in this side of the hill. So that was directly outside of my bedroom window.
Starting point is 00:36:34 I still remember it had this old wooden door and we didn't know what the fuck was in there. It was just like, there's a weird cellar. We've never opened that door. We don't know what's behind it. It's creepy. And then we also had this old barn next to us with like old cars and shit that was like in our driveway. Like you'd pull up to the house and then right next to it, there's this old barn with tractors and old things. And then the house, it was just so, yeah. So, um, but we had a mice infestation. So segue into the mice in our house, I guess. Um, thank God we had a cat. Julie had a cat. Cindy, the white cat. She, I think is still cooking. She, Cindy the white cat so that was 20 let's say 2016 this whole episode's about 2016 now but um that
Starting point is 00:37:28 cat when college was over and we all moved back home to the west side of Washington that cat lived at my grandparents house a white cat out in the farmland where my grandparents lived under their under one of their trees it would just live under there every single day it's like where's Cindy she's under that tree and I think she's still alive they moved again my grandparents built a new house and I'm pretty sure the cat is at their new house so that cat's got to be 30 years old I have no idea but we didn't know how old she was when we had her she's a great mouser okay back to the story let me stay on it so when I lived at this house we had a mouse problem and that's the end of the story honestly
Starting point is 00:38:07 that's really the end of the story uh I don't know why I decided to tell you I just want to tell you about that old farmhouse we lived because that was crazy like that was such a now it's I'm so much more of a scaredy cat now than I was when I was younger I was just so like whatever back in the day and now I'm like that would have I couldn't I would not sleep like if that was my if that was if that stupid cellar was outside of my window I would not sleep at night now I wouldn't even consider living there like I wouldn't even entertain that idea that would not be on the in the cards like I don't know I'm just I like know too much and I didn't I didn't watch back in the day I didn't watch
Starting point is 00:38:45 scary movies. That's a new concept for me. Those creaky swings and those weird old cellar doors and the setting of an old farmhouse in the middle of nowhere as like a haunted ghost house. Like that's a new phenomenon to me because I never watched anything scary up until recently. Like I just started watching scary stuff in the last, let's say four years. Um, so all right, let's move into the life updates. So I can't stop making pasta. I'm still making sourdough. we have the mice thing. We're getting the traps today. Um, we're still cozy co-sleeping with Louie, our bulldog. Um, give a little vibe. I'll do a little vibe for the life update section. Um, we're still co-sleeping with Louie and we finally, he's finally sleeping through the night.
Starting point is 00:39:39 it's like we have a fucking toddler or a baby um initially it was we're up every hour cory's not sleeping i'm sleeping like shit because he's cory would like get up with him and like console him and like lay on the couch with him like every other i'd say like once a month cory's like yeah i've been up since two and he's like i was laying out laying laying out on the couch with jimmy and louie i've just been up he'll just go lay with if he can't sleep he'll just get up put his bathrobe on like go and hang with the dogs on the couch in the middle of the night I'm like all right so it used to be annoying because Louie wouldn't and the thing is is the true honesty hour the truth is that the reason why I prefer co-sleeping with Louie over him
Starting point is 00:40:25 sleeping anywhere else in the house is because he won't have an accident bulldogs do whatever bulldogs want you could literally starve him drain all of the pee out of his body and he would still shit all over and piss all over the house like in the middle of the night when everyone's sleeping like he would find a way and he is a it's not chronic he has he goes in phases but you guys I've gotten rid of rugs like because of it like the rug in this podcasting room like is is it is long gone okay the white rug I used to have in here is long gone it's just it's annoying okay the the take the peeing and shitting is annoying and so when he sleeps with us he sleeps he's sleeping through the night now
Starting point is 00:41:14 and then you know no accidents happen and um he he okay but Corey has caught him in a deep squat about to take a shit he always comes to my office like it's so annoying it's like his favorite spot which is disgusting um I'm so used to cleaning the floor and sanitizing everything and wiping oh my god like I'm just we have a it's like we have a routine if it happens we go on autopilot like we literally like Corey I never pick up any of it Corey cleans everything like really good and he'll spray and do all that shit and then I'm like I'll double clean it because I know just you kind of have to like let it you do like the once over the the first clean and then you have to like kind of let that chill for a sec and then go over with the real intense chemicals
Starting point is 00:42:01 and like heavy cleaning shit and that's where I come in so oh I'm not talking about this on my episode why am I talking about this I always do this new year save me um but long story short we're sleeping through the night. He doesn't get up, but Corey caught him in a deep squat in my office. So what we know now is if he jumps off the bed at like 2 AM, he's going, he's nice enough, courteous enough to excuse himself and not shit the bed. Okay. At least he's smart enough to do that. So when we know now when he jumps off, well, I don't wake up from it. I never wake up from anything in the middle of the night, which is, which is actually really scary. Like I sleep through everything, Corey will get up and like catch him in the act. And before he does it,
Starting point is 00:42:44 he'll like bring him outside and then he'll do it outside. So, um, but yeah, it's really, I almost like can't sleep without him now. I'm like, I like having him in the bed. There's something really comforting and like, it's like a bonding thing. I don't know. It's like a really beautiful thing sleeping with a dog. And I never thought I'd be one of these people like growing up dogs weren't even like allowed in the house. Like it was like they're outside dogs, you know, we had like outs we had the golden retriever he was he would come in at night to sleep but he would sleep in the mudroom like that was his place and then as he got older we'd let him sleep he got like closer and closer to the bed life you know he'd be I don't know if we'd let him even let
Starting point is 00:43:25 him on the couch honestly maybe we'd let him sleep by the fireplace because it was warm he would sleep there but um rest in peace buddy um but yeah I never thought I'd get to this point so were still co-sleeping with him. Um, and, uh, we just stared at him. He's such a crazy looking dog. I mean, bulldogs are, it's freaky how, if I overthink it, I'm like, how in the, how, how are we, how are they real? Like how are dogs? It's so crazy. Like I'm, I'm, we're at the point Jimmy's five, Louie's four where I'm having full conversations with the dogs. They know exactly what I'm saying like it the bond gets deeper the love gets deeper like it's crazy you just they're literally like there are everything you know um I love dogs so much I literally
Starting point is 00:44:21 I could have a dog rescue place or like I just have like a if I had a farm I would just I would have probably 50 dogs. I would love to have 50 dogs. I finally got the bathroom code at Home Goods and my local Home Goods life update, still shopping for tchotchkes at Home Goods. I have this routine. I hit the Goodwill. I go to Starbucks, PetSmart, get the dog food because we run out once a week. I usually time it. I go to Starbucks, triple espresso on ice and a grande a cup of salted salted caramel cold films sometimes I get the egg bites if I haven't eaten boom done go to go to PetSmart load up on the nom nom the dog food the frozen fresh dog food that we get them get a couple toys maybe if we've run out on some chews or
Starting point is 00:45:10 supplements I get them that cool then I hop over to the Goodwill uh sometimes I'm there from anywhere from definitely at least an hour upwards of three hours I'll be at the Goodwill that is pushing it usually it's a couple hours Goodwill then I'll head over to UPS if I have um if I have a return or something and then I roll into by then car wash maybe but if I have to pee I go to HomeGoods home goods is where i go i go be in the middle of my errands days cory looks me the other day and it's the afternoon he was homesick he like he got kind of what i got not laryngitis but he got pretty sick and um we're like taking a nap i like showed him the nap life i was like hey just come home and it's okay to take a like a day off and like rest you know he's just not one of those he
Starting point is 00:46:11 doesn't even think to do that when he's sick it's like and I'm like why don't you take a nap with me so we we took a nap because it was my nap time when he called me he's like I'm coming home from work I feel sick I was like oh fuck I'm about to take a nap but I'll wait for you so then we nap together this is so dumb but then um I looked at him I woke up and uh he's like are you gonna get back to work and I'm like no I'm actually finished for the day I'm gonna go run errands which is still work in my mind it's all work everything I do is work um and he goes run errands and he's like what do you mean by run errands I don't know why he's just playing like he was messing with me and I'm like oh I have to donate a bunch of stuff at the goodwill which
Starting point is 00:46:54 I do have to do but I didn't want to do it that day like I could have done it the same day but I didn't have it all ready and organized to do it so I just said I have to donate stuff at the Goodwill and do a couple of returns and he goes, okay, you know, but anyways, um, they finally gave me the bathroom code at home goods. Every time I go to home goods, I stand, I walk back to where the, it's like where the pictures are and the mirrors and whatever that area. And there's like a hallway and you just stand in the hallway hoping someone comes and gives you the coat or does the coat on the door. And this, this lady, the last time I was there, it was taking forever. I'm just standing there and I'm like what the fuck like I was looking for employees I finally
Starting point is 00:47:33 found one I had to walk back back through the store and she finally she goes you know whatever the zip code of the area we live in is um that's what it is and she's like don't tell anyone I told you this and so now it's not going to be annoying when I have to go pee because I can just go in. And then after home goods, I usually maybe hit up Ulta, Sprouts, TJ Maxx, whatever's in that little area. And then that's probably like, that's the end of the day, you know, by then it's like time to go home and make dinner. So, um, life updates. I'm really stoked about the Seahawks tomorrow. So stoked. Seahawks 49ers tomorrow. Um, we're going to go on a little road trip all day tomorrow and then come back and watch the game um we're gonna go there's some
Starting point is 00:48:26 upcoming golf tournaments we're gonna go to starting next week we'll be going out to the desert with our friends I don't know if we're gonna do it or not because of the dogs we're like we want to go and we're like wait a minute we can't keep asking his parents to watch the dogs so we might I don't know they watched him while we were in New York and I know it was a lot but um, yeah. So what else is going on? Oh, golf swing is, I'm still practicing my golf swing and working on it. Um, speaking of golf, like I'm, uh, yeah, I think that's what other updates I've just been making pasta, taking spin class. Like I've been busy just like working on the podcast the back end stuff um exciting things you know like I always tease and say but like it's
Starting point is 00:49:18 really you guys will you eventually you'll be like you'll know when it's firing on all cylinders okay like you'll know but um it's amazing how many moving parts there are to social media and doing what I do and how many machines you have to have working together to make the full machine run Like it's little machines within, it's like a crazy web. Um, it's not just record a podcast, post the podcast. There's 500 other things that go with it. Um, and I love, I love the process, which is good. I I've kind of, that's the only reason, well, that is the reason why I've stuck with it. I enjoy doing this. I enjoy the process. Um, and in fact, I'm nerding out to lighting now. I'm learning all about studio lighting and the right way to do it and set it up and make it look
Starting point is 00:50:11 nice on camera. So yeah, it's fun. I'm still working on that. Oh yeah, I'm taking a shit ton of spin classes because there's a bingo challenge for January. So yeah. Let's do a little palate cleanser because I haven't I need to oh um I haven't played these women in a while on my show here I haven't this is a nice like it's like revisiting an old friend I just I just love I just love this shit so much so here's your little palate cleanser before you get into the news have you been dying to eat at beaches and cream at disney world beach club but you weren't sure if you'd fit hey everyone we're plus size park hoppers we range in sizes from 2x to 5x make sure you like this video and follow us from our plus size disney tips and tricks beaches and cream
Starting point is 00:51:11 soda shop is a retro themed diner located at disney's beach club resort they serve classic american food like burgers and sandwiches but are probably best known for their extra large ice cream sundae the kitchen sink if you know us you know that we're often thirsty for ice cream so we were super excited for this the seating here consists they just don't give a fuck and i think that's why i like watching it they know they're fat they know they're plus sides plus size it's literally called their account is plus size park hoppers and they're just living their life they don't give a fuck i love it booths and tables with chairs without arms there was some bar seating with high top chairs as well we found the seating to be pretty comfortable sorry i keep
Starting point is 00:51:51 stopping it but I feel like being plus size like a lot of your life is walking into establishments and getting anxiety about the chair situation like she mentioned the chairs didn't have armrests because if a chair has armrests like my chair has armrests that I'm podcasting in today and you're wider than those armrests you're not sitting down so when a restaurant, I think it's smart on Disney's part here at this Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, they know their customer, okay, they know their customer there, let's, yeah, it's smart if you're a restaurant at Disney to not have armrests, to have, the chairs don't look that supportive, but here we go, sorry.
Starting point is 00:52:48 For the entree, Ashley got the grilled cheese with tomato soup and added bacon. She said it was super cheesy and the soup was creamy, flavorful, and perfect for dipping. Speaking of dipping, Sarah got the French dip sandwich. This was thinly sliced roast beef, Swiss and au jus on a toasted French roll. She was honestly surprised by how good it was. My name is Stephanie and I got the cheddar bacon ranch chicken sandwich. This was served on a multi-grain bun. I really liked everything on the sandwich, but the bread was not my favorite.
Starting point is 00:53:14 In true diner fashion, the french fries were nice and crispy. Deanna had the Angus beef burger plain with nothing on it. She thought it tasted like a pretty standard Disney burger. The menu also offers vegetarian options and has gluten-free buns. Yeah, one of the girls is gluten-free, which I think is hilarious. I like the comments. Sorry. It's like kind of annoying.
Starting point is 00:53:37 Sorry, the voice is... God bless them. I'm honestly a big fan. I think they're helping a lot of plus-sized people out there. every comment here is defending them saying some people can't lose weight it's a medical condition be nice etc then it's a video of them eating a gallon of ice cream out of the sink and then they clap back I love when they comment back and they go oh my gosh it's two scoops of ice cream each live a little they're living a lot they're living large and they're living a lot and then
Starting point is 00:54:08 there's just like the whole concept of this channel is so heartwarming I can't imagine how many people have stopped themselves from having these experiences out of fear again fearing the chairs in the restaurants that's a real thing it's like getting on an airplane and eating I just my biggest thing with obesity and like or my biggest like confusion about it is how do you get to like how do you once you get to like for me there's like a weight I've been to where I'm like it was the heaviest I've ever been in my life and it wasn't even like I wasn't obese right like I wasn't even considering you probably wouldn't look at me and go she's fat you would say maybe
Starting point is 00:55:02 she's overweight or she's like clearly gained a lot of weight like 30 that was when I gained 30 what was it 35 40 pounds 50 I mean I fluctuated so much you know but then to go gain 200 on top of that I'm like how does that keep going I get that it's it's like a disease it's like an addiction like a food addiction thing and I've had food I've been a food I guess you could consider me a food addict gosh I told Corey a really dark story about my study abroad experience in London and how I was like peak binge eating disorder fuck during that time and I like fucking I wanted to enjoy going out with all the I was with like this group of 30 people like the whole time I was during my study abroad I was um it was through the University of Oregon I was with like 30 other people lots
Starting point is 00:56:00 mostly girls and I wanted to just like be free and go out and like have fun in London like them but I was just like eating like I literally would like isolate myself because I had so much pressure to get my assignments done because I was basically acting like a journalist the whole time I was there that was the whole program it was like you're gonna be pushed put through this program where you're going to events and you're, you know, I'd go to like a ballet or something, or we would go to Wimbledon or a cricket match or an art museum or something. And then the next morning your, your article would be due. And that's when I figured out really quickly, like, I don't want to be a fucking journalist. Okay. Um, it was really cool. It was such a great
Starting point is 00:56:44 experience, but like, I was so, I was so fucked up with like the food stuff. And I was just like trying to like because what I would do is I had the whole procrastination binge eating thing where like my issue was I would delay delay delay taking action like doing the assignment like start I couldn't write like I'd have the worst writer's block ever and so I would just like go to the grocery store by my dorm and like get a bunch of food and just like eat it all and then I could start that's how my whole thing that's like the disorder it was like I don't know there's like some it's all um there's explanations medical or scientific explanations for all of it um but it was like I couldn't just you know maybe drink a coffee at like 9 p.m on the night I was
Starting point is 00:57:36 writing the paper and like just be like a normal college student and like open up my computer and like start typing it wasn't like that it was like I had to go destroy my stomach and feel so like it it's almost like and this is the thing too okay honesty hour hi that's what we do here I never was a drinker like I drank as a oh this is we're going out and I'm drinking thing like this is a weekend thing this is a you know this is a fun thing like a social thing we're going out or drinking I'm it's a special occasion it's a birthday dinner it's you know that's when I would drink it was never I never so eating was like the food addiction and the eating was I wish I was just like I'm gonna have a couple cocktails and write this fucking article
Starting point is 00:58:30 like I wish I thought that way because the food thing was so debilitating and I'd be so puffy the next day and I remember like people would make comments they're like are you okay like you don't look that good my face would be so morphed I would be so full from the night before of eating and just binging like fucking stupid shit like I would always get I would get like the same things like I just would repeat the same these like stupid I just I don't even want it's it's so dark I don't like to even think about the food I was binge binge eating but um but now like later in life I've realized like oh sometimes when I want to be productive and like get shit done a couple drinks in me will like aid in that process in a nice way and it's like not that crazy it doesn't make me
Starting point is 00:59:13 feel like shit it's a couple drinks and I lock in it's like having an Adderall honestly like it does something to my I think it does something to your brain it takes it down a notch and helps you Cause I have the executive function thing where it's like, just start, just do the thing. But then I can't, I have like the functional freeze issues where I'm like, okay, I know I need to do the thing, but I can't. So then, okay, I'll have a couple of drinks and then now I can do it. And then I'm just like off to the races. Like, you know, I mentioned hard kombucha before in the beginning of this episode. and that kind of became a crutch in the last few years for like certain tasks that I would want to get done where I knew I needed to like because I weed puts me to I'm useless when I smoke weed like I'm not gonna do that I just don't that's like when I'm done for the day like that's when I'll smoke weed but which I haven't I haven't gotten high in god knows how long I can't even remember the last time I got stoned like um I'm an alcohol person like I'm a drink like I like to
Starting point is 01:00:13 have a couple drinks okay and but yeah I would have you know like a couple kombuchas and I'd be like all right I can actually like focus and work which back to the binge eating thing like that was so like I just I think I would have become I would have become an alcoholic I guess or I guess that's the the slippery slope and that's when you're like that's when it becomes too much of a crutch but I know I know I'm I know I'm not an alcoholic like I know I have that in my bloodline for sure like we definitely I definitely carry that gene but um quitting alcohol this month like going this long without it is like a non-issue like it's not like oh my god I can't drink thing I'm not even like itching for a drink I tease that I wanted to like feel something with that
Starting point is 01:01:03 stupid fucking mocktail that made me literally like buzzed from the cover or whatever in the beginning of the episode but um yeah I enjoy I will say like I do enjoy not having any sort of hangover ever like I wouldn't I never oh and I I don't drink hard alcohol one thing about me is I um quit that last year I completely quit hard alcohol halfway through the year I had a really bad fourth of July I never told that story um yeah and that's when I was like you know what I get too excited when I drink hard alcohol and then I don't know what it is I get like too like and then I try to like oh this is the issue like when people when you go out and drink with people and you're at a function whatever in this case it was the 4th of July at
Starting point is 01:01:52 the country club that we are friends um we all go with them um place we got married it's like people like look at you they go oh you want me to get you another one and you just kind of go yeah and like you're four margaritas deep it's like no you don't need to keep saying yeah like that's my issues I just keep saying like when someone offers like oh do you want another one I'm just like yeah yeah like we had this Christmas party for my gym I was just drinking wine this was back in December I probably had like eight glasses of wine like no joke and I wasn't even like I am so not aware of the amount and that's the problem I have where I'm just like I don't even want that much I'm not I'm fine like I don't I don't need to but it's
Starting point is 01:02:37 whenever the waitress would come around she go do you want another one you just kind of go yeah that's the kind of drinker I am whenever someone's like offering like do you want more but I do not miss hard alcohol I think that is I that's the for me the worst hangover ever even if I have one drink like one no and I don't do shots I don't fuck with any of that I just I like yeah I'm drinking no it's not the vibe I love to I know I love I love a cocktail like to drink I'm not saying I I'm above that or I'm not I don't enjoy that because I do but um damn there's so many um just negative things that come along with it physically and just how you feel but I honestly don't like it's been 16 or on day 16 honestly like nothing is crazy different
Starting point is 01:03:27 like I don't feel any type of way like I think maybe I have a little more energy I'm also doing a ton of cardio and I feel like whenever I do cardio regularly and I'm not drinking I have way more energy all the time so I definitely think that is an improvement um so cool okay so what was I talking about oh the life updates plus ice park hoppers did we even finish it um yeah they just don't give a fuck oh what other palette cleansers do I have here um I think we'll just that's that was it we did oh wait these these uh see the one thing the one thing about 2016
Starting point is 01:04:18 let's go back to the 2016 trend Like I said, that was the start of Instagram face, baddie content, Instagram baddie culture. You know, the original Instagram baddie was wearing a crisscross crop top from Forever 21 that was like $7 on sale or like a Rue 21 or a, what other, if you were balling, you went to Free People. there was like a free people bralette that everyone wore um yeah that was the it was also the beginning of in my brain like the fast fashion hyper consumers and fast fashion thing like I remember sitting in college behind girls in class that were definitely in a sorority trying to look cute for the sorority shindig they had going on later and or and they would be like all the girls did in college was scroll on like the forever 21 websites for it was always like
Starting point is 01:05:28 scrolling for dresses like short mini dresses for the parties or whatever like they would I would just constantly see girls online shop all class long but yeah it was the beginning of like the fast fashion in my brain that's like when it all kind of like really popped off just buying cheap shit online cheap clothes and I feel like the fast fashion quality since 2016 has improved it still sucks but it's definitely gotten better because everything in 2016 would fucking fall apart it's like they would staple choker necklaces together and then they would just like unravel like you'd be going out and you'd be like, you'd be dancing around and it would just like break off or everything was just so much shittier, the quality back then. Um, I don't know why I'm
Starting point is 01:06:17 bringing this up. Why am I bringing this up? Um, Oh, just, I don't remember moving on. How, how cool is that? We can just move on. Cause we don't remember. Um, it's three 30. What time did I start um but now this there's certain things okay like I said certain things have improved since that era like the facial balancing everyone's hotter now okay we're doing like that we everyone has an upper lip I think the clean girl era 2020 when everyone's locked down the focus on skincare and leading with good skin over caking your face with makeup people are looking better now, right? Like people are maintaining their skin better. And I think people are looking better. Um, I completely went brain dead. That's what you get at 3 30 PM on a Friday afternoon
Starting point is 01:07:21 from me. People are looking better. Okay. Wait, the, everyone has an upper lip what did i say caking the face skincare um things improving what did i say i seriously like cannot remember where i was going with that um maybe it'll like come back to me it always does you guys do you want to talk about this toxic mom group i don't um let's do the news Harry Styles I'm gonna live react Harry Styles came out with a new album or he's coming out with a new album I'm gonna live react to the cover because people are
Starting point is 01:08:09 saying it's awful let me look at the picture of the cover um harrystyles.co.uk Okay, so I'm on hstyles.co.uk. It's coming out March 6th. Now I'm going to try to read the title of this as best I can. Kiss All The Time, because the title goes in a circle. So depending on where you start reading in the circle the album title is gonna be different every time okay so it could be time kiss all the but obviously it's kiss all the time disco occasionally and it's a disco ball it's a disco ball it's a picture of dusk in the UK back in fucking where's he from I've been there I've seen the bakery guys my ex-boyfriend drove me by and goes yeah that's
Starting point is 01:09:20 where Harry used to work you know you know the lore he knew I he knew my ex knew I knew I was with him he knew how I got there it's because I was talking Harry Styles and figured out he was a friend and you guys know the story if you don't know the story I'm not gonna retell it what the fuck is his hometown it's like Harry Styles I used to know all the lore you guys I used to be so in deep with Harry Styles hometown I know it it's like Cheshire Cheshire Holmes Holmes Chapel Holmes Chapel okay so the album cover is giving Holmes I'm saying it's giving I don't care it's giving Holmes Chapel at dusk with a disco ball suspended from the sky and then Harry just posted up in tight I'm I'm excited he's not wearing some
Starting point is 01:10:15 stupid fucking polka dot like clown big collar shirt and a weird pant outfit on the album cover I'm enjoying the fact that he's tatted up like he is short hair nice clean cut short hair blue t-shirts it's pretty tight on him okay and some nice tight or fitted blue jeans and he's kind of like pulling his glasses down I I like this okay I like that part I like okay this album cover looks like shit okay it's it sucks this is it's like they just I mean his other album covers have been kind of cool like let me look at like his last one I'm not like a big fan of his music by the way I think here's the thing this is what I'll say about Harry Styles. Okay. I am in the camp of people who heard his, I've been roaming around. He
Starting point is 01:11:35 can, he can fucking sing. Okay. He can fucking sing like a rocker. That's his, when he's at his best he's like Aerosmith okay right is that who I'm thinking I don't know like Steven Tyler he's got the rocker voice right my biggest fucking gripe with him is that he's going disco he's going foo-foo he's doing all this electronic-y you the the music to me this is the his albums, like nothing has ever, okay, we've got Water, what do I like? Adore Me is a great song. Adore Me, I love. I love Sign of the Times is obviously, you gotta love it because that was his first debut. Like this is Harry Styles coming out as a solo artist. See, I do know a lot about Harry Styles. Wait, I'm actually showing my ass right now. Like I
Starting point is 01:12:37 actually do know a lot um he has a few bangers that I that I like but in general his vibe of music is so floating in the air and there's no like I need a fucking hard I need what do they call the the fucking the 808 what the hell's the beat the drum I need like a I need a beat I need a heavy beat and his his music is very like floating with the butterflies in the sky are floating and then all the songs kind of float in the sky together and they blend together I need like a um what's a great one direction example like one like a great song um I just listened to listen to it in the car yesterday um maybe it's the way that she walked no um you know the one direction song is like wait wait I'm thinking of a song right now it's like better
Starting point is 01:13:45 than words but more than a feeling oh crazy in love dancing on the ceiling okay guys I don't sing this vibe like actually that's not as I want it to be more like this that's the kind of music I want Harry Styles to make okay I want to bump and grind I want to feel something I want to beat I want to I wanted to you know what I mean I'm not saying like rap I'm just saying stop making this fucking airy fairy bullshit and I know this disco album is gonna probably it'll have like a couple I like and then everything else is gonna be like floating in the sky with the butterflies but some of those One Direction songs his part of the song that he would sing his voice is so
Starting point is 01:14:45 he has that essence of a rocker and he just that's not his brand it's so like disco 70s like wishing for a time that he doesn't live in stuck in the past trying to revive an era that he didn't grow up in that he looks up to all the artists of that time and wants to be I don't know he's trying to be different I don't I don't know what goes through his mind he definitely went a direction I wasn't expecting because he could have done. He's like too hot for this shit. That's the thing about Harry Styles. He's too hot for this disco shit. It's such a, it's such a waste of hotness. Harry Styles is a waste of hotness. Harry Styles and the way he brands himself and the kind of music he makes is a waste it's a waste of hotness
Starting point is 01:15:44 and it's a disappointment I know he grew up in Cheshire and he worked at the bakery and he he's in tune with his softer more feminine side and he's you know like he's not travis kelsey like football player hot boy vibes even though i guess speaking of that listen to this bullshit that i came up that i found on tiktok about travis kelsey and taylor swift taylor swift says no vibrating panties for you travis for at least one week after the pr nightmare you have caused if you weren't aware the bisexual non-ethical dom sub inter-attractive polyamorous couple taylor swift
Starting point is 01:16:43 and travis kelsey stepped out together for dinner people think that they're both what did he say dom sub i'd have to break that down and really think about the different how the holes get filled in that situation and who fills or they're not filling each other's holes she's filling they're not i think people think they're both gay and they're both like using each other and they're not is that what i'm picking up with this is not people there's like the gay lore lore or she's gay and then he's a dom sub what i don't i don't know but he's a football player okay he's like macho football player alpha male type vibes like kind of like the present the way he presents how he dresses the you know here and
Starting point is 01:17:45 there his outfits are questionable I will say they get too fancy with it with the fashion the football players and they're trying to they're really trying to do something and um it's it always just who can pull it off like who could wear anything it could be super high fashion like cool and like different and kind of foo-fooey who's a football player and he could just it doesn't like make him look like a like a try hard or like a he's up his own ass because that's the thing when the football players step out for their and do their pre-game walk in their fashion fashioning outfits it just really showcases they're all up their own asses because they're professional football players but you can really see how far like the spectrum of who's up their
Starting point is 01:18:44 ass the most is showcased the most when they do that walkout because you can really see who gets who's trying it's like the harder they try the weirder the outfits get you guys know what I'm saying wasn't it that Jason just did the flip-flop thing in the shorts And that was like his, you know, I'm just a regular guy who plays football. I don't fuck a loafer, you know, I respect that about him. I think that was, that was authentic because sometimes the fashion, it just doesn't read as authentic. And that's the thing with Harry Styles.
Starting point is 01:19:24 It's like the dresses he was wearing at that back in the day and the, the groovy outfits on the stage. it's like I always feel like he's cosplaying I always feel like he's doing it for it's not really him it is I guess at this point it is him and I'm just I'm having to accept that as a fan as a I was a closeted One Direction fan in love with Harry Styles for god no way too I was so mentally in a, what do you call it? A parasocial loving relationship with Harry Styles in my brain for a disgusting amount of time that I don't even, I'm admitting to now because I'm confident in who I am as a person. And I can, I can publicly admit things without fear because I,
Starting point is 01:20:19 that's what, that's what people tune into a podcast for. And so it's like, it's good for the bear it's good for the business it's good for the brand but the way I would fantasize the ripe age of I was like how old was I at the time like 17 18 so I like that he's in a t-shirt and jeans back to the album cover on the album cover um he's going on tour again he's going on tour he's selling a fanny pack okay limited a box limited edition camera box set does he still sell nail polish he's he's a he's a he's a man of many the fucking nail polish you know what was it called like promise it's called like pleasing what was it his brand is pleasing
Starting point is 01:21:19 I just want him to be more fuck boy like Justin Bieber like you know what I mean his essence could he he has the fuck boy essence but it's not expressed in the way that I think it it's just not it doesn't fit the fantasy right as a fan you're like it doesn't fit the voice doesn't fit the songs he puts out the vibe of the voice and the songs it's like total mess there what a letdown and then like the the hotness and the way he completely ruins it with how he dresses and presents himself I guess it's like being a true artist you're just a whack job and it's just like you don't have to fit in you don't fit in a box and you're confusing in women's brains you're confused you confuse
Starting point is 01:22:18 people you know okay I don't know where we're at we are this is the thing we're gonna keep going until Corey and the dogs come home. And I don't fucking care how long that takes. And by the way, I'm in the news. I made the, I'm in the press. I not really the news. I, people are talking about me. Okay. People are talking about me and they're judging me. They're judging me publicly online on their platforms. And I unfortunately had to hear an older woman comment on my podcast and my style of podcasting, the way I podcast. And this is the thing, people who podcast about podcasting are squares. Okay. You have to be such a square to think. And I know it's like helping people like launch their podcast and
Starting point is 01:23:18 learn about podcasting. There's a market for it. I get it. But then And it's such, you would have to be such a square to do that. Anyways, this, I made a TikTok. Thank you, by the way, to, what is it called? The morning podcast show. Wake up podcast show, morning podcast. It's like a daily, they talk about podcasting every day. Thank you for featuring my TikTok.
Starting point is 01:23:47 They literally were, okay, so I made a TikTok giving my advice to people that went viral, basically saying like, don't niche down. I don't niche down. I talk about whatever I want. It's worked out for me. I think a lot of podcasts that I enjoy listening to, uh, do the same thing. They don't niche down. They're talking about a multitude of topics and it's a wonderful thing to tune into because it's always different. It's always entertaining, interesting. You're not always hearing about, uh, fucking laboos every week or whatever someone's niche is like mocktails. Okay. So this woman did an audit of my
Starting point is 01:24:26 show and she's like, you know, what's crazy is that, and I'm sounding defensive, but here's the thing. At the end of the day, I am your friend. Okay. I am your friend. And because I am your friend, I don't talk to you. Every time we sit down and have a conversation together, me and you, I don't talk about the same exact topic and the same exact niche thing every single time we have a conversation in a normal friendship. You're talking about a, a bunch of random shit all the time, whatever's going on in the world, whatever's happening in your life. Like that's, that's just a, that's a normal friendship. And so that's the, that's the style of show I have. It's like, if you're my friend, this is what's on my mind. This is what's going on in my life. This is what's
Starting point is 01:25:13 happening in the world. Let's talk about it. Right. It's a very simple thing, but people, So this woman's like, I audited her show and she's like, you know, she was, at first she was podcasting every day and she was, and now she's putting out these Rogan-esque episodes of multiple hours. She goes, I don't know the last time she's done one under an hour. I just can't believe this woman can talk. Oh my gosh. But she's like, I don't understand how you expect to get a following off of showing people. Because like, I think she's referencing the time when I showed you guys how to bake chocolate chip cookies. She's like, I don't understand how you gain a following and monetize a podcast off of teaching your audience how to bake cookies.
Starting point is 01:26:01 And then talking about the Israel-Casa war the next day. but her whole thing is like she helps people with their podcasts and they need to pay her they pay her for her services right and she's like well if they don't give a fuck about making money from their show I'm worried because they can't pay they need to be making money so I can be making money and I'm like that's not the game I'm playing okay that's never been the game I'm playing um so we're just that's what it is okay and people like don't understand that they in this world of making a quick buck online and going viral and chasing vanity metrics and like you know keeping up with the it's keeping up the content creators keeping up with the
Starting point is 01:26:51 whatever um it's a crazy concept to do something because you love doing it and you're not in it for the money like um not to say that I'm not for sale uh and then I wouldn't you know I dabble in the money-making side of podcasting obviously but like it's not the game right and so I think it was funny to listen to people talk about um my show And then, um, just be there and they were so dumbfounded by it. And, um, yeah, I was just like, damn. And what was the other thing I was going to say? They, they, um, they couldn't figure that out how I, oh, and, um, yeah, they're like, yeah, when we scroll on our episodes, there's no, there's no ads. You'll scroll in a three hour long episode. There's no ads.
Starting point is 01:27:43 I just can't believe it I'm like we exist I actually don't think anyone else besides me I don't know if anyone like I don't know yeah I think I'm probably a rare bird out there in the space but by the way let's talk about the podcasting space and the golden globes and that circus because I'm sorry there is something so unserious and stupid about giving out a golden globe to a podcast when you're not including like now it's a gold now you can get a golden globe if you're a podcast love that that's great they're opening it up they're they're including the podcasters in the in the award shows now okay but it's like
Starting point is 01:28:36 none of them ever include joe rogan you know what I mean none of them ever include the actual like top charting podcast I just think it's interesting and so for him not to be nominated ever in any of these award shows makes it so unserious and stupid it's like this is just a popularity industry plant celebrity contest like there's a clear it's like Amy Poehler won it I think with her pot what's her podcast called like um her podcast is good hang I need to listen to it everyone's like talk talking of talking it up and saying it's a great yeah Amy Poehler good hang yeah she does a lot of celebrity interviews Hayley Williams my hawk Gwyneth Paltrow
Starting point is 01:29:28 oh I need to listen to the Gwyneth one excuse me oh my gosh but you know what i mean it's like so unserious it's like it's not i just don't love hollywood and i i just okay do i want to talk shit i always do but like i don't want to drop specific people because i think that at the end of the day we're all we all love entertaining we all love doing well I don't know if everyone loves it I feel like a lot of people do it for a stint and then they stop it's like oh she'll like I don't know if good hang will be around in six years you know we'll see but
Starting point is 01:30:19 I just think there's a difference between people that are clearly passionate about it and it's I sound like such a starving fucking artist who's bitter about other people that are more successful than me killing it and popping off and winning golden globes okay I'm gonna stop I'm just saying like I don't I just I think it's just how you yeah I think celebrity interviews are tired I'll also include that I think the a lot of things on social media are tired podcasts are tired I think you find who you love you tune and every week. Like in my case, you figure out what I'm up to, what's going on in my life. And then, you know, you move on with your day. Like I'm one of those podcasts. It's just, it's a
Starting point is 01:31:10 regular thing in your routine of podcasts you listen to, but you find who you like, you stick with them. And then maybe you're over it after a while and then you dip out. But anyways, let's just look here at yeah I don't care about this toxic mom group I love Hilary Duff I think she is a ray of sunshine I think she is so sweet and kind and lovely and wonderful but I can also see her being like um I know someone I'm just gonna be vague who is all also such a ray of sunshine and like you know but they have it's like when those people crack it's scary they get really fucking nasty like sometimes those are the ones that get the nastiest the sweetest ones get the nastiest you know um you can almost see it like Hillary Duff smiles it's like it's like you can
Starting point is 01:32:18 see like if I don't I think who's sweet where when they crack they stay sweet throughout being pissed off and angry and and like who's like a really sweet because I'm thinking okay there's hillary duff i can see her cracking and getting like really fucking nasty but like who's so pure sweet that wouldn't um why did i think megan markle now what's she getting i think she's so like fucking numbed out i don't know if she would ever i don't know i can't wait to see the real side of her someday Megan Markle that'll be an exciting day um someone just needs to break her I'd love to have her on my show and just break her down just really like get to know her and get the real because anytime the second she would start being phony I would just be like all right
Starting point is 01:33:12 like I'd fucking I'd have a squirt bottle and I just squirt her with water every time she would be phony and I'd say all right say that again and your real cadence and personality slapper across the face you guys they changed the food pyramid speaking the golden globes okay timothy we love timothy and kylie um it's a pleasure to watch them i have nothing negative to say i love timothy i love his passion for acting and how serious he takes it i love him and Kylie. I totally understand it. Um, the guy is smart, super down to earth and humble and kind. And he's so, he's a comforting presence, Timothy Chalamet. I feel like he would make anyone he talks to comfortable. If you ever met him, he would just make everyone
Starting point is 01:34:18 kind of go, and those are the best people. The best people are the people that when you meet them and talk to them, you relax, you take it down a notch. You're not anxious. You just feel chilled out by their presence. And I think that's how Timothee Chalamet is. And so I think for Kylie, that's a really good feeling to be around all the time and to be with and to be loved by and to be cherished by and to be held by and kissed by and fingered by and I don't like to that's that's where I stop in my brain I just you know when I saw her bbl at the fucking someone took a back shot of her sitting down at the at the globes I don't know how that picture I think it was just the cameras that were on the the back side of their table and that's where my
Starting point is 01:35:08 brain just does it I don't continue the thought of them together it doesn't I don't like to think of the Tetris of that okay of their um of the physical side of their relationship okay I don't like to imagine that um she's a lot of she's like I think at first it used to be a mind fuck and then I've seen so many couples like that out in the wild where I'm like it's always like a slim gym and then like a big ass mamacita you know an insta baddie hoe like just fucking bbl'd out and she's with a toothpick you know and there's just like something about oh don't want to drop short n-word but my dick tall do you know the song or skinny n-word but my dick tall is that a that's shaw shaw baranks that's also a 2016 throwback wait a minute so that's what
Starting point is 01:36:18 that's probably what's going down with timmy maybe he's one of those kings short or skinny and his dick tall. That's such a good song. Shabba Ranks, walking into the fucking... Okay, another highlight of college for me was going to a house party in Bellingham, Washington at one of my crush's houses who also hit me up after high school,
Starting point is 01:36:42 who I had a crush on the entire time I was in high school. And then it was college time. It was a freshman college. I'm going to this house party for a birthday party up in Bellingham at Western Washington University. And... Anyways, I will never forget when Shabba Ranks, is that what it's called? Shabba Ranks came on? Because here's why. Shabba Ranks, wait, is he an artist? Shabba Ranks is an artist? I thought that was a song. shabba rink song why do
Starting point is 01:37:22 asap it's asap song by asap that's what i was thinking yeah and if the first lyrics are uh um is it not short and word but my dick tall wait skinny do i have to look this up oh my gosh skinny oh my god sorry you guys we're fucking doing this right now because um so at this house party yeah it's shabba rinks shabba official video featuring asap Rocky and A$AP Ferg yeah short n-word but my dick tall let me read the lyrics this came out in 2013 okay a lot of the songs the best songs were yeah the 2010s 20 to 2016 that era it's not just
Starting point is 01:38:28 on the year 2016 it was kind of when everything that was that's when it capped that was like the final year short n-word but my dick tall what I told your bitch dog oh yeah it's a it's a bad song but anyways at this house party this birthday party where my crush lived and he his roommate was my biggest bully and it was his 21st birthday and um he went to Jamaica and this was like a whole thing so like my biggest bully of all time in elementary school all the years later invited me to his 21st birthday party and before he invited me to his 21st birthday party I want to say like six months before that a Chipotle opened up in my hometown the first ever Chipotle and he invited me to go get Chipotle with him as like a hey let's
Starting point is 01:39:25 catch up after high school vibe but also like I think he had a crush on me and I always gave him shit about that I was like you're bullying me because you want me I'm in like seventh grade okay um the bullying got so bad by the way like the principal would not let him walk across the stage when we got or during graduation it was one of those things where on the last day of eighth grade she sat me down she's like tell me everything and I think she suspended like them from graduating or something. It was like a whole situation. I don't know if I've told the story before, but go to Chipotle, whatever. He invites me to his 21st birthday party a while after that, whenever that was. And midnight, and this is at the house party and his roommate I had the crush
Starting point is 01:40:13 on who in high school, who had the crush on me that he told me after high school, the whole, the reason I'm telling these stories today by the way is because I want to be picked chosen and loved I am trying to showcase to everyone you know it's just a it's just a typical episode how much men want me okay like that is the premise of this episode so like I'm trying to tell you that like the boys who I liked also liked me back okay so anyways his friend roommate whatever hit me up after high school that I had a crush on that was like so annoying I'm like what the fuck you know um that was always a thing it's like why don't you why don't you just like be honest then they always they're always honest later it's like how they mature too it's like
Starting point is 01:41:05 they're not mature they mature slower and then they like realize things slower and they're not in tune with their actual feelings and they like feel them later and then they tell you later anyways his 21st birthday his crush was there i didn't care about him i cared more about his crush but whatever we were vibing okay because he also has like a very his vibe is one of my favorite vibes any man could have my biggest bully who invited me to chipotle chipotle and then his 21st birthday he is so spencer pratt coded his personality is so that where they just they have the they're the quickest with the comebacks they're the the cadence the way they talk that yeah the comebacks the they're kind of mean to you but it's it's like a
Starting point is 01:41:56 it's not like it's in like a good way mean I don't know how to explain it um kind of a he like grew up in Seattle he was like from the city he came up in seventh grade to the the country and he just brought a lot of swag with him and I just always kind of enjoyed that it was such a different vibe like not because I went to the school with the same boys since kindergarten and so when he came into seventh grade and then he started bullying me immediately um I just was always like yeah he's kind of got he had a fuck boy he was the first time I was like he has a fuck boy vibe I hate him because he's bullying me
Starting point is 01:42:36 and he's making all the other boys in school bully me and everyone hate me which is like an actual thing but I also like his personality because I like how he fucks with me it was so toxic 21st birthday party, midnight this man went to Jamaica
Starting point is 01:42:52 with his family God knows when it's midnight we're the only ones in the kitchen at the time somehow that happened everyone's downstairs shabba ranks by the way when i walked into that party shabba shabba ranks asap for shabba ranks came on and i'm like walking downstairs as the music's playing my crush is there they're like playing pool it's popping off people are like there's a
Starting point is 01:43:19 mixture of people getting stoned and people drinking and people doing both okay it's like the smell of weed it's like a basement vibe and like i'm walking down the stairs i'm feeling hot And it's like, it went so fucking hard. The lighting, you know, the smell, everything. We're in the kitchen, it's midnight, it's his birthday. Okay, he has this fucking bottle of Jamaican rum with two shots left in it, enough for two shots in it. And he goes, he looked at me, he goes,
Starting point is 01:43:45 Jacqueline, I've been saving this for my 21st birthday party. I've been saving this rum for my 21st birthday party. and I'd like to share I'd like to share this moment with you or something like that and so we literally just poured a shot together at midnight and took it I don't know where that rum came from and I don't know how old it was I guess it's kind of reminded me I was like this is like Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean washing up on the beach finding the rum tap in the sand you hear the the wood in the sand that goes to the rum cellar that's I was just thinking of that
Starting point is 01:44:27 situation of like, that's where I thought the rum came from in my brain. And so we bonded over that and whatever. And, um, and my friend fucked him. My best friend. And we laugh about that to this day. She fucked both of my bullies. Sorry. I'm not saying names. I just think it's hilarious. At least we can laugh about it, you know? Um, okay. Where am I at on the news? So they changed the food pyramid. Oh, I talked about Timothy, Timothy and Kylie. I don't know how I got there to there, but, oh, Shabarinks. Um, food pyramid the new food pyramid apparently they apparently
Starting point is 01:45:30 apparently they shifted the food pyramid upside down and so now you've got protein dairy and healthy fats along with vegetables and fruits up top and the bottom is whole grains and then you work your way down to the the killers the sugar and the whole grains and the yeah fuck yeah um it cuts wait it puts meat cheese and vegetables at the top now what's like the lore on this why did they do it fed's new food pyramid shows adjusted dietary guidelines americans are urged to eat real food prioritizing protein and vegetables and new dietary guidelines recently released by federal health officials the country's new inverted food pyramid was released
Starting point is 01:46:38 on January 7th by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. The guidelines are recommended through 2030. Yeah, I think this is a good thing. The Trump administration
Starting point is 01:47:06 seeks to reestablish scientific integrity and accountability and common sense to federal health advice at least 70 of adults are considered overweight or obese while one in almost one in three youth are diagnosed with pre-diabetes yeah solution has always been eat real food blah blah blah so it used to be bread cereal rice and pasta as the biggest part of the bottom of like the biggest part of the food pyramid used to be that and then it worked up second in line was vegetables and fruit groups the tippy top was milk yogurt and cheese and then meat protein meat yeah eggs and nuts and the tippy tippy top was fats and oils I mean
Starting point is 01:48:06 yeah I think it's good to just clear out honest to god just clear clearing out that bread cereal rice pasta group I mean nothing wrong with that stuff because I eat it literally every fucking day but yeah I think it's smart to remove that as the biggest food group you should be eating that was the time like the thing about the original food pyramid is the goal of it when you look at it was to sedate people was to numb you like I'm sorry if you're an adult and you have any kind of bread pasta cereals set up in the beginning of your day or in the middle of your day you're gonna be asleep you're gonna be anyone who functions off of heavy high yeah high carbohydrate meals especially in the
Starting point is 01:49:07 beginning in the middle of their day like I'm I'm reserving that to like professional athletes and people that are running 13 miles before 6 a.m. Like people that are high endurance athletes. I don't know. Like no one can, so yeah, that is, this original food pyramid was all about putting people to sleep. It was all about numbing people and making them fat.
Starting point is 01:49:32 And this new one is like, hey, let's have energy. It's giving energy. The upside down pyramid, because it's literally upside down now, it's it's um it's a little top heavy now like I don't I feel like they should have just made it the new one but also just in the shape of a pyramid a normal pyramid now they just flipped it upside down um but it looks energizing it looks it looks you know yeah it's like it's a it's a positive thing you guys know how I feel about health and wellness
Starting point is 01:50:02 sacks fifth avenue files for big bankruptcy what do we want to talk about guys alex honnold i don't know if he's climbed this skyscraper yet but i need to figure this out when he's doing it because i want to watch it i guess they're live streaming um i'm pretty sure taipei okay he already did it okay i knew it was in january so cory and i watched this uh documentary on what are they called skyers
Starting point is 01:50:45 skying building they climb the rooftops rooftopping i think it's called rooftopping they this couple that went viral back in the day and they're still doing it now for climbing buildings in russia to the tippy tippy tippy top like skyscrapers and like cranes and they would take really cool pictures of themselves up there and this is a major thing oh we've got a new light flickering does that mean it's time jacqueline no we cannot have this okay i fixed it anyways it's called rooftopping and this couple climbs rooftops in russia and it's very dangerous they don't use ropes they have to sneak around
Starting point is 01:51:36 security and construction workers and anyways alex honnold um this article is like when he falls he dies and the world watches in real time oh that's how it's happening on january 23rd alex honnold um plans to climb taipei 101 in taiwan unsecured live in front of an audience of millions the questions arise how much risk is a person allowed to take and who decides i this is he has kids okay I just can't get past the fact he has kids like Alex Honnold doesn't he have two kids
Starting point is 01:52:17 like speaking of being so up your own ass like he's a wife and kids and he does this free solo bullshit yeah they have two daughters and it's like dada where's dada he's on the side of a mountain with no rope like fuck that like it's the most selfish bullshit I've ever heard of so I can't get past that with
Starting point is 01:52:46 him um he's on the people I I won't say the people I hate list because I think it's so badass and cool like you have to like give credit where credit's due like him climbing El Cap with no rope and Half Dome and all these other solos he's done it's like insane it's like one of the most incredible like I think about it probably it is one of the most incredible human feats ever in history of all time especially if you've been there and you've looked up and you realize like what he did I mean it is so in in that sense he's a god and I admire him but he also has two daughters and a wife at home so he's gonna climb up a building um Taipei 101 I guess let me read for most people Taipei 101 in Taiwan is an office building for French climber Elaine
Starting point is 01:53:45 Robert it became a 508 meter high wall that he had had that had to be conquered when the world's tallest building I guess this is another climber that climbed it when the world's tallest building at the time was opened in 2004 Robert aka Spider-Man climbed up the building's facade it took him four hours today Taipei 101 is no longer the tallest building in the world but it remains a wall to be I want him to okay to impress me in the world like climb the Burj Khalifa okay alex honnold like this is not is there anything to grip on the burj khalifa like probably not i think this is doable and the fact he's live streaming it i'm like he wants to be the first person to climb it climb the building free solo
Starting point is 01:54:32 in other words unsecured without robes to catch him if he falls blah blah blah he's 40 cool time to pack it up and pack it up Honnold became famous for famous outside the climbing scene in 2017 when he climbed El Capitan let me look at Taipei 101 on an image let me just see how it looks it's got ridges on like it's got um multiple places like to stand I feel like it's not a flat face so like as you go up it you could take a break there's like one two three four five six seven eight notches in it where you could
Starting point is 01:55:21 get up a notch take a break get up a notch take a break so I feel like it's really doable um uh look at looking at close-ups like how the windows are there's ledges like the windows have I feel like you pick this cause you could actually get a footing on the side of it. Like there's, there's little lips sticking out, or like a Ridge for your foot to stand on and your arms or your hands to grab onto. Okay. Food pyramid, Alex Honnold, Timothy Kiley, Harry Styles album, Saks filed for bankruptcy. I don't really know what's the issue with that Saks.
Starting point is 01:56:03 Because we were just in New York and I saw the Christmassy set up, the Christmassy Saks Fifth Avenue set up, you know, straight out of the movies. Why Saks collapsed while the rest of luxury retail is growing? Yeah, department stores are increasingly being left behind as luxury brands connect directly with customers, both online and in boutiques. Yeah, just eight weeks ago, Saks Fifth Avenue was celebrating the return of its annual holiday lights displaying at its Manhattan flagship store. Blah, blah, blah. Now it's filing for bankruptcy. Crazy. It's like, don't expect a fire sale.
Starting point is 01:57:03 but it says your local stores aren't closing yet. I don't. Okay. Let's look at fucking. Sorry. I'm swearing too much. Um, let me see if there's anything breaking right now. And then I could wrap the show because I feel like Corey's coming home soon. I need to eat. I want to be taken out to dinner tonight. I love when I guys, I'm talking a lot about married life. My favorite shit is like a it'll be like a Friday and he's like you know maybe we'll have a plan but like when we don't have a plan he's like can I just take my wife out to a nice dinner and I'm like sure and then we go out and a nice dinner usually is like a hole-in-the-wall sushi place where I don't have to get dressed up and then I can go in literal sweatpants because that's what I prefer
Starting point is 01:57:49 I enjoy glamming and going to a nice dinner but we don't only if it's a plan don't hit me when you come home at 5 30 p.m with I'd like to take my wife out to a nice dinner and then expect me to turn around a full beat and an outfit in an hour like it's just not gonna happen especially that time of day when I'm not thinking there's a later plan I'm such a you have to plan I need notice I cannot I'm not a good oh let's just I mean with within reason like especially I'm not good on a whim if it's like let's do something super social with a million people he's like one time he's like hey like and I'm feeling on this particular day just like gross and like not feeling it you know my probably
Starting point is 01:58:45 had like I needed to shave I probably wasn't tan or whatever and he's like with a buddy he's like hey he's gonna go on it's shit it's shit like this it's like a Saturday and he's hanging out with a buddy um I'm like at the gym or whatever and he's like hey you want to go out on so-and-so's boat there's gonna be other girls there and like just all you have to bring is your swimsuit and like we can hang and like go out in the bay and I'm like I just wasn't in that like get up and go mode of like yeah just grab a bikini and go I was in that like I need to fucking do it oh I need to detox for a week get a spray tan get a new bikini get a manicure wax my fucking pussy like I was not in the mode of just like and that's the thing about life it's like stay ready stay hot
Starting point is 01:59:34 you gotta stay ready and stay hot for those situations and I just wasn't ready and wasn't feeling hot um that's the thing to to be in a place of never feeling like you have to get ready get in shape is the best place to be. And that's the life that Ozempic gave to me. It honestly did. And I take it back. And I don't know why I haven't shot it up or haven't gotten back on the shot. I'm still off of it. And it is what it is. We're not going to bring that lore back to 2026. um no in all seriousness that's the best the best description of being on a GLP-1 is someone who's already fit and already getting after it in the gym already working on someone who already takes their health and fitness seriously and and watches their food intake and they care about what
Starting point is 02:00:30 they're ingesting is that it just makes everything so fucking effortless because you're already putting in the effort of everything else with in all of those other areas you're already working really hard in all those other areas but sometimes it's like and then yeah and so then it's just like GLP-1 just keeps everything dialed in I guess is how I would describe it and like kind of like nothing ever sticks to you and like you're just like having little you can fuck off more and that's what I enjoyed about it okay I didn't have to care as much about the food because I just wasn't eating as much and I could kind of get away with eating whatever I want when I did eat um and that is is what it is um I feel like I'm just going on
Starting point is 02:01:14 and on pen man with 500 skeletons you guys this is insane okay this man in Pennsylvania his home was raided hold on i need to read the article he literally like collects and sells human skulls cops find more than a hundred skeletal remains in a man's home he has an instagram i would not recommend going to it i don't exactly remember the handle but someone had commented on this was on like BBC or something or whatever one of the art one of the news sites I follow on Instagram and someone commented oh his Instagram is xyz it's literally just low-lit pictures of human skulls and him posing and shit and it's like dude
Starting point is 02:02:11 it's giving this is he is keep saying it's giving and I know it's like it's giving ed gein 2.0 okay he's clearly digging up these remains because how else is he getting them i mean this is gonna i can't wait for this movie actually hold on let me see here um they just they put too many bullshit ads on websites there's so many pop-ups horror movie come to life cops find more than 100 skeletal remains in man's home yeeden pennsylvania a pennsylvania man is facing more than 500 charges after investigators say they discovered more than 100 human skeletal remains in his home authority said 34 year old Jonathan Gerlach. Gerlach. Gerlach. Gerlach. 34-year-old Jonathan Gerlach.
Starting point is 02:03:23 Gerlach. I can't stop saying it. Gerlach. Jonathan Gerlach broke into mausoleums. Whoa, I haven't read that word in a while. Mausoleums. This is my new thing, or I've been doing this for a while now, is anytime I hear word on a podcast on the news on in an article whatever that i don't know i immediately look it up the mausoleum is a freestanding building or structure housing burial chambers crypts for one or more deceased individuals okay so he broke into mausoleums and grave sites multiple times at mount mariah cemetery in yeadon pennsylvania since halloween oh so this is like a new hobby for him like he just got into this
Starting point is 02:04:12 he like he hasn't it's a type of thing where if you've got a hundred i've heard i've read 500 i've read 100 now that you've been doing this for a while that seems like it would take that's a lot of bodies to dig up he was arrested january 6th at the delaware county cemetery with a bag containing human remains of children and skulls along with additional bones in his vehicle people are like free jonathan he's not killing anyone he didn't kill anyone um investigate but it's like the relatives like they deserve to not have their fucking like your wife dug up and sold like you know what i mean investigators at the arrest led to a search of Gerlach's
Starting point is 02:05:04 home in Euphrata Euphrata, Lancaster County where they found well over a hundred skeletal remains detectives walked into a horror movie come to life left
Starting point is 02:05:21 oh okay detectives walked into a horror movie come to life the other night this is an unbelievable scene said Tanner Rouse the Delaware County district attorney. These words are tough today. Rouse, Ephrata, Gerlach, Yeaton. What did I say? Yeaton, Pennsylvania. I mean, Yeaton. Understand some of these are 200 years old, some obviously much newer. There's one with a pacemaker still attached
Starting point is 02:05:56 to the body i agree for those who are upset by this who are going through it who are truly trying to figure out if it is in fact their loved one or their child because we've found remains that we believe to be months old infants oh my god among those that had that he had collected added rouse fuck dude fuck police believe the remains were also taken from other cemeteries throughout the region they also are they are also investigating a facebook group titled human bones and skull selling group he just outed him he like the the instagram is so like that like human bones for sale at human bones for sale and this is human bones and skull selling group where Gerlach was tagged and pictured holding a skull very simply detectives have
Starting point is 02:06:52 recovered an awful lot of bones at this point and we are still trying to piece together who they are where they are from and how many we are looking at it's going to be quite some time before we have a final answer um so they don't know if any were sold um I have two package deliveries I'm excited about today you know when you get like you remember like oh like why am I excited you wake up you're like why am I excited what's coming and then you remember the package that's my favorite part of um consumerism and like Amazon on and shit okay that little dopamine you're like okay I got a gift card from a workout company for Christmas they like sent me a gift card I don't know for being a customer and I bought
Starting point is 02:07:50 something and I'm excited because it's going to match the pants I have from them because I didn't have a matching top for it so I was like oh look at the matching top cute um so i'm looking here about the legalities of this um it's illegal to disturb human skeletal remains or burials burials without legal authority and permission obviously yeah what kind of like how much time do you have to do it's like stealing he got that five finger graveyard discount
Starting point is 02:08:34 snatching up them bones this is like ed gein like anyone who fucking opens a grave is deranged lock them up put them in like put them in the chair their mind is that's one step digging up bones and digging doing what he's doing is one step it's like a sidestep for murdering someone but I feel like that's coming next you get close to death with digging up the graves pulling the bones out bringing them back home hanging out with the bones you're acquainting yourself with death and then that you after you get past that hump you're like all right now I can go kill someone maybe that's the journey he is going on and so I'm glad they stopped him before he
Starting point is 02:09:24 maybe he has killed someone it's always crazy sometimes these people it's like they have and like I don't know Megan Fox and MGK are done romantically their relationship is just about
Starting point is 02:09:42 co-parenting now exclusive source trying to see if anything breaking has happened Um, I'm trying to think of what's going on in celebrity world, like Tiger Woods 50th birthday party. Okay, cool. Um, like what's, what's crazy. What, what, I mean, it was just the golden globes. I guess that's what everyone's talking about. And JLo's bronzer situation. She had like really messed up bronzer her makeup was really bad and people are I don't know the the dresses weren't it I'm not trying to be negative like I've just I just haven't been wowed I haven't been wowed by
Starting point is 02:10:31 celebrities in a while like I haven't I mean Timothee Chalamet is kind of the only one doing it for me right now um Sydney's been looking great though Sydney Sweeney's outfits like when she did the premiere for the housemaid I haven't seen that I need to go see it she looked great um she's been I like I like what she's been wearing um who else is like killing it fashion wise I don't really pay attention that close but like every now and then I'll see someone I'm like yeah um it's such a vibe to see by the way speaking of celebrities it's such a vibe to see a man in Hollywood, like Leonardo DiCaprio, who else is aging gracefully. Robert Downey Jr. I feel like he is too. Robert Downey Jr. We're just hanging out at this point of the
Starting point is 02:11:32 episode. Sorry. I mean, if you're still here, holy shit, it's a long time. Yeah, I feel So this is what I don't understand about the men in Hollywood getting face work. For all of time, it has been a thing that men age like a fine wine. Men get better as they age. You know what I mean? They always get a little more... wrinkled and they get the age spots. It kind of, it just adds like a, some depth to them and some, they get more rustic looking. It's such a, it's such a great thing to, to see. Like when you
Starting point is 02:12:24 look at the, the thirties versus the forties, the fifties, the sixties, the seventies, the eighties of a man, it's like, they just, when does it stop? Seventies, eighties, they just get better and better and better and that's always been a thing and so for all of these men in Hollywood to be getting face work done and blefs and filler and Botox I'm like is it because they're all just they're all gay guys aren't they all just like closeted I don't know that's what the gays would too. It's so gay. It's so gay. So gay. Sorry. Uh, fucking, fucking who's the worst offender right now? Bradley, Bradley and Ryan, Ryan, Ryan Gosling. You know, so it's such a vibe to see a man aged gracefully in Hollywood to see Leonardo DiCaprio. I know it was super, it was so sassy.
Starting point is 02:13:20 someone broke down exactly what he was saying he was being because we don't really get to and that's something they mentioned at the Golden Globes I think when Nikki Glaser I think it was part of one of her part of her monologue or whatever she was doing when she was hosting but she mentioned how like we don't know anything out anything about Leonardo DiCaprio other than he likes to date young like girls under 26 or something young women that's all we know about him that's all that shows up when you google him like that's the only thing we know about him so there's some sort of joke about that but I feel like he's the best actors are the ones you don't know anything about like you don't know anything about their personal life anything you don't know
Starting point is 02:14:01 what their favorite color is what they eat for breakfast like they're very aloof they're very like kept to themselves or they go away and they come they come out with their new movies and they promote it and then they do the interviews and they go away and then they shoot something new and they rinse repeat. And that's Leonardo DiCaprio. I feel like that's the best thing about him. It's like, you don't know much about him. And so when he was sitting at the Golden Globes talking about, I think he was talking about the K-pop because he said K-pop, like you could see his mouth say K-pop, this girl, she did the lip reading of it, of him talking to someone else. He was so sassy. He was so like, that's not what I expected from him. Like the vibe he was
Starting point is 02:14:42 when he was talking but his face was moving right he was wrinkled in the best way it's like he's aging how we and that's what I love I'm like you know what when are we just all gonna fucking embrace ourselves and just embrace our natural aging beauty in the process you know we're probably I don't know it's gone I think the pendulum it's like what everyone says with everything especially politics like the pendulum it's it always swings back to the middle like it always comes back so I wonder with um now with reminiscing on because because here's the thing AI is about perfection right AI is about everything is perfect and optimized and fast and polished and nothing is it's it's all about perfection that's what AI
Starting point is 02:15:34 is all about and so I feel like that goes in line or that falls along the same lines as people like it's no wonder people are getting new faces and perfecting their bodies to the extremes because everything is about optimization perfection and it's all for the digital world for the photo for the video of you for the side profile of you from every angle of you like you always want to look the perfect in your best and I feel like the thing about the future is that I think it's going to be I actually as I'm saying this I'm like no it's not it's just gonna be the flex is gonna be to always be so fucking snatched I don't know I feel like it's not gonna be like oh the people that are embracing their natural side like I don't know but it'll
Starting point is 02:16:22 be interesting what gets things are getting tired things are getting redundant with what we see now. And it's just gonna be interesting with the, I'm excited about the future. Like I actually have, I'm honestly, this 2016 trend has made me feel optimistic about the future. Like it honestly, like I've,
Starting point is 02:16:48 I always keep a level of, I try to maintain a level of optimism. It's hard to in these times, but I'm like, it makes me want to like it did something to my brain I don't know we were optimistic back then we were free we didn't give a shit we were just living our lives we're partying we're going to random people's houses and drinking white claws and raging all night long until the sun came like it was the best time right and we were just like we had the whole world ahead of us we had a choker necklace uh forever 21 crop top in the whole world ahead of
Starting point is 02:17:24 us and um matte lipstick and smoky eye and your fucking matte foundation and and anastasia beverly hill block brown we have the whole world ahead of us and um that's the energy we need to channel for this year i guess you know and i think it's like it's about freedom it's about optimism it's about freedom it's about not giving a shit I don't know at this point we're just trailing off we're just we're just talking to talk okay you guys if you can't tell um yeah I just don't get it like I don't know the last time she's posted an episode under four hours or under three hours or under an hour she said then I also read
Starting point is 02:18:09 an article about me the other day that from another TikTok I had posted I every now and then like I never like I don't it's not a normal thing for me to look myself up but I did and I was like oh my gosh i had no idea um nick shirley exposing the minnesota minnesota right now should i look up an update on that do you that's too like it is so you guys know what i said last week about the ice the fatal ice shooting and my thoughts on that. But like...
Starting point is 02:18:52 They just look so fucking stupid. Doing all of this fighting and kicking and screaming and fucking... It's like... They're like beating each other up. Like the protesters, the people that are pissed off at ICE. It's like...
Starting point is 02:19:12 They're like feral rats. Like it's so... yeah so it's always funny how that happens it doesn't help their cause that's the thing it's like don't they realize like this does not help your cause um let me just look up nice minneapolis there's another shooting someone got like shot in the leg i think agent who shot renee good in minneapolis was trained to track and apprehend fugitives no shit that was his job sorry I'm just reading here I was thinking about it too and this might sound you might not like the way this sounds when it comes to what ice is doing okay but I was
Starting point is 02:20:02 thinking about it I was like really trying to remove all of my biases like as much noise as I could for my brain I just thought about it logically like I don't think there's a world where anyone is just like okay take me like I know I'm in my car and I'm ISIS trying to like or they're trying to detain me because I'm here illegally or whatever okay fine take me no one's like like that I've seen I and also a lot of these videos you see it's like there's no context you don't know what happened before like you don't see the before you just see the violence right so that's something to consider like you never know what that person was doing before if they my point is this it's like they almost have to forcibly like remove these people because
Starting point is 02:20:57 they're resisting so much like I almost feel like there's not there isn't a world where ice is just like gently grabbing people and taking them away there's no like gentle way to do it unless that person is literally just like take me take my body just fucking deport me like of course no one's doing that they're like you know and I hate it because it's always the people that is that I see it's clear that they've probably lived here forever they're probably like contributing to society working and they have a family and whatnot so it's it it's that's that's shitty you know but I'm like I don't think there's a world where it's just like everyone's chill with it you know so unfortunately they're having to grab on to people with like pull them away now
Starting point is 02:21:47 it gets a little power trippy or it's it's clearly getting too power trippy out there where they're like overly aggressive about it um you know what I mean it's like they're treating them as if this person is just shot someone they're like trying to like detain you know but I was thinking about that I'm like I don't know like okay there is a clear plan in place for these men to go in and do what they're doing and there is no stopping that okay like that is that has been decided and it is what it is nothing you do is going to stop that right okay we know that that's just facts that's just what it is and it sucks and a lot of people are against it clearly and that's why they're protesting they're like getting in in the way and they're trying to like save their neighbors and
Starting point is 02:22:34 their friends okay but okay so there's that and then it's like nobody's gonna like I said nobody when they're on the prowl this is what I don't understand and I haven't looked this up like how do they know it's like their casing place I'm like are they just profiling and like assuming or I feel like maybe there's situations that that's happening because I'm sure there is but how do they know exactly who these people are and how and and that they're here illegally like that's the part where I'm like how do they do they have like photos of people and they're like oh she looks like this I don't maybe I should just ask I'm just gonna be a this is so dumb that I have to use trash I want to know like I'm trying to think like when they're out in a parking
Starting point is 02:23:30 lot, pulling a woman out of her car. It's like, how did they know that's, that she's not here legally? How do they know that? You know, how, how do they know for sure to the, cause they're, okay. Let me just talk to text because I don't have to. One thing about me is I hold my microphone the whole episode and okay how do ice agents identify their targets sounds so fucking stupid how do ice agents know that who they're arresting and detaining is are how do you how do they know they're here illegally because it seems like they're randomly selecting people out of public spaces by racial profiling how do they is there a list that they how do they know I get so much stage fright when I talk to chat
Starting point is 02:24:29 also I'm in my luteal phase and when you're in your luteal phase your words get scrambled and you can't talk straight if you didn't know that's a common side effect of being in your luteal phase which is the longest part of your cycle which is yeah um here's the real explanation okay ice doesn't randomly pick people ice doesn't go out and detain people at random ice doesn't go out and detain people at random just because of how they look instead they operate based on data records and specific leads they focus enforcement on people they have identified in official systems as potentially removable under u.s immigration law they use government databases and information sharing ice and other law enforcement agencies
Starting point is 02:25:19 have access to a huge network of records including finger fingerprints run through national databases immigration databases i say databases i don't say database immigration databases that flag prior violations or removal orders local state and federal law enforcement databases shared information from local arrests and law enforcement interactions if a person shows up in these systems as someone with a removal order or violation that puts them on ice's radar this means someone already booked into jail might be flagged to ice someone whose prints already exist in federal systems could be identified information shared between agencies can trigger follow-up action they use investigations not wild guessing ice doesn't typically just see someone on the street
Starting point is 02:26:11 and decide they're undocumented instead the process is intelligence driven they are given specific targets or lists to locate they rely on leads gathered through investigations enforcement is coordinated like where someone works um probably that's how they do it like that's they probably go into a lot of workplaces enforcement but then if they're working under the table that probably wouldn't be documented I don't think that would make no I don't know see the smartest people one thing about me is that I know I'm in the camp of like pick me choose me love me um how do you know when someone is smart it's when they know what they don't know and I don't know shit about this so that's why I'm looking it up I'm admitting
Starting point is 02:26:57 that I don't know about it and I don't like to talk about things I don't know about okay so they're given specific targets or a list to locate they rely on leads gathered through investigations enforcement is coordinated through enforcement and removal operations their ERO unit which focuses on people it believes are removable under immigration law often those with prior violations outstanding removal orders or connections to criminal activity in some cases so they will focus efforts on people already identified through data warrants referrals not just people randomly encountered they sometimes work with local police um okay so the big question i had is how do they know some how do they know no i won't do the
Starting point is 02:27:45 candace thing because that'll piss a lot of people off how do they but also like slay so how do they know someone is here illegally it usually comes from one or more of the following a removal order or prior immigration violation in a federal system matching fingerprints intelligence gathered wait this is like this i'm reading the same thing isis tactics especially plainclothes arrests or cooperation with local law enforcement can feel like profiling especially in heavily immigrant communities people without any contact with government systems are less likely to be targeted unless someone intentionally collects evidence on them civil rights groups often raise concerns about how data is used and whether it misidentifies people or violates privacy
Starting point is 02:28:31 but I just see this is the thing is I just see the video right of the parking lot and the woman getting pulled out of her car or like that's like the common thing it's like someone in their car or guys on a rooftop doing roofing and I just saw that and they're like jumping the roof to get away from them again it's like well if they're there to get them how and they're running away like at some point you got to kind of like tackle them like I don't know like I genuinely don't know how else they could go about it what are you gonna do knock on their door at their house and like I thought of that I was like why don't they do it in more in a more chill way where it's like like if you don't like a letter some sort of like maybe they do I feel like they do that
Starting point is 02:29:19 and then this is like the next layer if they don't turn themselves in I don't know it's very sad and I hate that my biggest gripe is it's like the people that have been here you know but here's the thing too and this is what people forget I don't understand like no one thinks like all these fucking white women all these fucking middle-aged white women crying and screaming and I mean it's like the suicidal empathy thing that Elon said it's the perfect term like literally the renee good it was renee good's death was death by so it was suicidal empathy like she was you know when you really think about it um it's always people getting involved in other people's business and trying to babysit their their uh it's and i've said this
Starting point is 02:30:16 for years this all popped off of the pussy hat march after trump got elected in 2016 this all goes back to 2016 it really does and i said it and i called it and i've always said this about this it was back then the term was social justice movements there's all these new social justice movements and i was looking out the horizon i'm just like these are there's all these movements for all of these to to support all of these oppressed groups are conducted and ran by people that it doesn't even fucking apply to where they're like so bored in their mansion like oh my gosh these poor people like aren't getting representation so we're gonna go do this movement and this cause to help them and to lift them up and to and it's like they're babysitting other
Starting point is 02:31:01 people's impression oppression that they they flagged as like this is the worst thing ever we can't have this blah and it it went so far it went it went so far it's still it's still happening today. And I like the term suicidal empathy because it's, it's a perfect description for it. It's like, mind your fucking business. Okay. Part of being a citizen in this country is like, a lot of it is like, mind your fucking business. People are up each other's asses in each other's business. It's like, you might, I know it's like community and like help each other. And I get it. Like, let's support our communities and help our friends and our neighbors. And this is not, this is unjust what's happening to them. It's like, but at the end of the day,
Starting point is 02:31:48 it's like not your business. They got themselves into that situation and you're enabling the situation by supporting them. You're enabling the situation by, you know what I mean? And so we don't get anywhere that doesn't, that destroys the vitality of our country. If everyone is babysitting other people and enabling their behavior and their coming here illegal thing is complicated though it's not and none of this is black and white I'm not I understand it's not black and white but that's the thing just mind your fucking business
Starting point is 02:32:29 people just are too you know you have to be able to see something you don't like I know this isn't how the world changes but like you have to be able to see something you don't like that sucks on the news and go shit that sucks and go to bed especially if it was the person who in that situation's fault that they fucking got themselves into.
Starting point is 02:33:06 I'm all about personal accountability, 100% personal accountability. And when people get themselves into situations that's 100% in their control and they fuck up and they fucked up in that situation, for other people, for mobs of people to come in and protect that
Starting point is 02:33:24 is how you ruin a country and that has literally been going on since the pussyhat march i could end the show with that and that was back in 2016 when trump got elected probably early 2017 or was it 2016 no it was 2016 so i'm not i'm i'm about people just are not principled that's the thing people are not principles principled and that's what you learn when you you get older you're like no one is principled no one can remove emotion and and follow
Starting point is 02:34:09 and stick to principle like that's the thing it's all emotion no principles all emotion no principles with the left all emotional principles it's like so anyways I don't really like to I said this last week I'm like I'm not gonna get fired up and we got fired up it's getting dark out it's five o'clock I think this is time to wrap um did my package get delivered hold on let me let me get like a jolt of dopamine before I end the show um I got a new light for my set um yeah I got a new a big light I'm excited and a new box for it so excuse me all right um also I think
Starting point is 02:35:00 I didn't even talk about and we're not going to talk about never mind um okay so today we covered 2016 is the new or 2026 is the new 2016 um yeah I think we're over the AI slop we're just so fucking over it they just blasted with us all that with us they just blasted that to us all of last year and it's like it doesn't feel good it doesn't feel good so it's time to reminisce and live free and optimist and channel the optimism we had in 2016 yeah I don't know we talked about life updates making pasta oh I did not talk about my neighbor's lawn fuck I could do this as a story time for the next episode but I'm not that's not who I am so we're going to take a sip of celsius at 5 p.m on a friday
Starting point is 02:36:03 at the third hour during the third hour of my solo podcast the third hour of me talking to myself and we're going to finish just finish the episode out with a story about my neighbors who invested probably millions of dollars into remodeling and renovating their their new home and refuse to mow their lawn or do any landscaping. Their Christmas tree is thrown out into their front lawn with the weeds.
Starting point is 02:36:50 It's not even a lawn. They haven't even put down sod or anything. With the weeds growing all over it. i think their old bathtub i'm pretty sure it's from their house before they redid it is in their backyard chilling maybe they're tired it was just the holidays there's probably you know they're probably tired they they work they probably work a lot but it's just like the lack of pride i live in the nicest i i have declared where cory where we bought a home is the nicest neighborhood in san diego period i am so blessed and lucky to live here i think we live in the most beautiful
Starting point is 02:37:24 place the most beautiful area people take pride in their homes here you look around it's like everyone gives a shit except our fucking neighbors and it's like you just spend all of this money on your house and you don't take care of it like they're the house before it like the gutters were falling off and it doesn't match the vibe of the neighborhood at all it's like the one house on the street you know and it's like now it looks better but they don't take care of their lawn i think cory we just got a we just bought a weed walker and he's like i think i'm just gonna go and like kind of have the weed walker out in the front lawn just whatever when i see him just like go out there with it and go hey do you want to borrow this it's so bad it's so bad so it's
Starting point is 02:38:08 like i'm yeah and we don't love the color they painted it but it's not offensive it's just like you know, wouldn't it be our choice? But I feel like Corey went during the, um, during the, during the holidays, I felt like we were the couple and Christmas vacation, like Margo and the guy just being like snooty and like, and like overall the neighbor neighborhood bullshit. We don't hate our neighbors. They're very nice people. The thing is, is I like these people. They're not, there's nothing. It's just the, it's just like the house before was just And I think they let it go to shit because they knew they were redoing it.
Starting point is 02:38:49 And then it's like, now they just don't take care of it. The fucking Christmas tree's in the front lawn. So. All right, that's it. Thanks for hanging out. Thanks for being here. This is so long. Please hit that subscribe button
