Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey everybody, happy Sunday. It's episode 87. Welcome back to the show. Hey guys, what's up? It's Jacqueline. Happy Sunday. Welcome back to the show. if you're new I'm here seven days a week so go ahead and subscribe if you haven't already over on the Apple podcast app you can also support the show by going to patreon.com slash TJMS to get my exclusive content get access to it and get a shout out at the end of each episode and then finally I'm on YouTube Monday through Friday during the regular non-holiday hours of the year, which is basically a whole month for me right now. I'll be resuming my YouTube channel Monday through Friday in January. But in the meantime, you're welcome to go over there
Starting point is 00:01:09 and check out the last like 40 episodes I posted. So if you need someone to hang out with and have a little best friend on your TV to watch, I'm over on YouTube as well. So this is a Sunday Q&A episode. I'm sitting in my mom's kitchen right now while she's out on a walk. She just, my mom's a gladiator woman. I don't understand how she, I don't understand how she does it. Uh, like she just finished rowing on her rowing machine, like 10,000 meters. She's like, you know what? I just need to go like stretch out a little bit. So I'm going to go on a walk around the, around the block. And I was like, okay. Uh, she's like, do you want to go with me? And I'm like, no, I'm watching football. It's Sunday. I'm tired of shit. Um, anyways, so I'm doing that while she's, I'm doing
Starting point is 00:01:50 this while she's gone. So let's just get into it real quick about my day and what my mom and I got up to before I jump into the Q&A. Basically, it was a Sunday morning. We woke up, drank coffee, sat and watched the CBS Sunday morning show together. We do that all the time. Whenever I'm home, I always watch that show. And then usually on Sunday, we'll watch football or golf or whatever, and then finish the day after dinner watching 60 Minutes. It's like the little Sunday routine but anyways we did that and just hung out my sister left back home um we'll be seeing her we're going out to a cabin in um Winthrop this weekend so that'll be fun we'll be we'll be seeing her in a week so right now it's just my mom and I um so anyways she left and then my mom
Starting point is 00:02:38 and I went to Home Depot picked up some baseboards for the bathroom she's remodeling and it was fun I like I like sawed them in Home Depot because he had it they were so long we had our little car so way to make them fit. And on the drive home, I had to like, she had them wedge through the window and I was like, my neck was like sideways the whole time, but that's pretty much what we did. And then we watched football and yeah, that's, I don't know. I want to do the Q and A. I want to give you guys the answers to the questions you asked me on Instagram. So let's just get into it. Okay. First question. What is your favorite thing about podcasting? Who wants to listen to me gush about podcasting I do this every episode I can't help myself I really I really can't help
Starting point is 00:03:19 myself my favorite thing about podcasting is honestly the messages you guys have sent so far just the connections I've built over the last couple months that's the what that's what makes it feel cool and like special all of a sudden I go from just some random chick you follow on Instagram no one really knows me super well to pouring my heart out for you every single day giving you every little detail about my my life with my daily daily updates in an audio format and that's been really cool that's probably my favorite thing you guys but also just the creative expression and shit that I get into like I feel like I'm fully expressing who I really am and getting all my thoughts and ideas solid and that feels good I think my favorite thing is the
Starting point is 00:04:08 feeling I get after like every time I finish a podcast I feel like I have the best day ever I feel positive I like myself more I feel like a better person I mean I could even go further and say like I like the challenge of keeping on a conversation for the entire time alone when there's no one else to talk to obviously I'll be interviewing my mom this week she's been shy about it we're not shy but I keep catching her at the wrong times like tonight she went on a walk we could have done this together but yeah like I've had to get good or like it was it's not even hard for me to be honest but it's a challenge to carry on a conversation where it makes sense and I don't know so yeah that's probably my favorite thing and oh shit I could probably say even more um
Starting point is 00:04:55 I like the morning routine I have with like wake up drink coffee podcast talk about my day like it's so fun I fucking love it so uh next question what is your favorite family vacation ooh that's easy I feel like Disney World is my favorite family vacation because we waited for so long my parents were like when we were little little like five years old we were like we want to go to Disneyland mom and dad we want you know they were like no we want we want to wait for until you're bigger and you'll enjoy it and remember it because obviously they could have taken us multiple times I don't think they could afford it I mean we're three kids in Catholic private school I mean they had three of us pretty much at the same time and I love how they did it
Starting point is 00:05:38 they waited until I was in I think I was going into eighth grade so it's like the perfect age and I remember everything and we were big enough to be independent like go to the pool at the you know hotel like walk around Disney kind of by ourselves a little bit or away from them so that was my favorite trip because we built so much there's so much anticipation to go and instead of Disneyland, they took us, like, for two weeks out to Disney World, we were there for a really long time, got the full experience, went everywhere, it was so fun, so that's probably my favorite family, yeah, definitely my favorite family trip, um, next question, um, if you could live anywhere, where would it be? I mean, I'm living where I want to live, I'm in San Diego, that was my goal,
Starting point is 00:06:23 to, like, pack up and move there after college, every time I went there, it just felt like home, I don't know how to describe it it was like you know I'm from a small country farm town here I'm sitting out looking outside right now at a bunch of farmland which is awesome but there's something about the ocean that called me when I was like it just felt like home and every time I go there I'm like this makes sense because sometimes you travel places and it's like a total vacation you're not like oh I could I could actually live here and I felt that I felt that way when I moved to San Diego for whatever reason. And yeah, so I feel like I'm living in my like final resting place. I don't know if I'll live anywhere else. I probably will. Honestly,
Starting point is 00:07:06 I feel like I have a little bit of a travel bug. I'm probably going to pack up. I've mentioned London. I really want to get back there. Um, maybe the East coast. I don't know, but if I could live anywhere outside of San Diego, like let me brainstorm. Cause you guys all know I live there um honestly shit where haven't I been maybe it have to be somewhere I've been love Colorado I love I don't know I honestly love London I have to say London but that's like a big deal to pack up and move out there I just love Europe I love everything about that lifestyle over there every every culture every big city it's so just it's a whole different it's a whole world it's like a different planet being in Europe and I don't know when I say I could live
Starting point is 00:07:55 there it's like a temporary maybe like six months type of gig or like a year or two I wouldn't live there long term and like like live a whole like career lifetime there so anyways um it's a good question let's see the next question why do I feel boring tonight I don't know guys I'm kind of tired like it's dark out it's what four almost five o'clock I'm just like so I think I'm hung over from all the like Thanksgiving festivities and the fucking wine night we had last night and I've been on the couch like I took a two-hour nap today you know the vibes it's just like a Sunday I'm tired of shit I'll try to be interesting here let's see um let's see have you ever been to a concert yeah I mean I'm just gonna say yes I feel like do you guys want to know all the concerts
Starting point is 00:08:48 I've ever been to I probably can't keep track of that but uh first concert I've told the story before I met the Jonas Brothers in eighth grade me and my friend went and met them and went and saw the concert um I don't know like I've I've seen I I just I want to get to see my big my big uh, goal in life is to be, uh, like a Coachella girl. No, I'm kidding. Not like that, but I want to go experience these music festivals. Everyone goes to like, you know what, you know what I mean? Like the fucking Coachella stage coach, but what is it like Lollapalooza? I don't know. There's so many, the EDM concerts. What's the big one my brother always talks about. It's like Tomorrowland. I don't know like these giant ass festivals like I want to get to them I never I've never been to
Starting point is 00:09:40 like a big main Coachella type of festival so like I don't even know is that happening in 2021 is everything still kind of on on hold or delayed I don't know I really want to get to definitely Coachella and Stagecoach before I'm 30 like what the fuck I'm in my 20s I should be going to those things and I haven't so uh but I've been to like one-off concerts like fucking Kelly Clarkson Jonah's Brothers like why did I think of those two I've been to I don't know like country stuff um obviously One Direction back in the fangirl days fucking I don't know um oh my god I could like wait can I remember everything oh I went to Skrillex last year which was sick um Diplo and shit like that doesn't really count um I don't know okay so next question let's see
Starting point is 00:10:29 um what is your favorite smell oh that's a good question my favorite smell hold on I'm drinking do not judge me I'm drinking a diet coke because my mom has them and I'm like I just need something sparkly I've never eaten this much shit in my life over the last few days and like I never drink pop I don't know why like it's one of those things where I've been drinking LaCroix for so long with her since I've been here and I'm just like converting to the coke because it's so good I love diet coke um hi mom how was your walk she's home it's okay this is a vlog you're in the you're in the background right now you can say anything well I'm answering questions I'm doing the Q&A
Starting point is 00:11:18 what's my favorite smell what's your favorite smell she likes lavender besides your children okay best favorite smell is like a baby golden retriever puppy like a baby puppy or a baby baby smell like a certain type of way I don't know those are the most like intoxicating smells ever if you know what I mean you know what I mean if you've never smelled a baby or a puppy like you don't get it but um as far as like maybe like smells that are around the house and shit I love Christmas tree smells pine smells because that's what it always reminds me of like I have a Christmas candle in San Diego at my apartment because it reminds me of my um grandparents house like growing up around around a Christmas tree farm it's always like
Starting point is 00:12:07 a nice smell to smell um what else like vanilla I guess if you guys I've mostly guys listening if you want to know my favorite like cologne smell it's blue to Chanel by yeah blue to Chanel that's a that's a favorite um or is it the fucking YSL makes really good cologne what's the one I'm thinking of I can't remember I don't know I like YSL cologne and uh blue to Chanel is like my favorite of all time it's like spicy kind of and it's so good okay next question if you could go back in time and change anything what would it be uh nothing I feel like living with regret is not good for your mental health. If you're, if you have a thought, a common thought like, oh, I wish that never happened. I wish I could change that from the past. If that surfaces every now and then
Starting point is 00:13:01 or daily, that's not good for your mental health. Like I don't, I don't get stuck on shit that I wish I could change in the past. I feel like, you know, I'm not going to say, oh, everything happens for a reason. Fucking, I'm not like that. I mean, sometimes I'm like that. I do believe that there's the stuff that you would want to change that maybe was a negative, like a bad choice you made or something bad that happened. Um, if you, you know, wish you could change the thing about those negative experiences is, Oh my God, dude, should I go to bed? What the hell is happening? Sorry. Happy Sunday. I'm chilling. I'm tired of shit. Uh, wow. Bring it, bring it Jacqueline. Come on. Pull yourself together right now.
Starting point is 00:13:44 seven days a week holy shit my is this falling apart am I burning out absolutely not I'm having the most fun I've ever had on any episode ever stay with me um no but things happen so the bad things that happen to you teach you lessons you learn about yourself you learn about life so I I like it when bad things happen sometimes after they happen you take away a lesson every time and you grow out of it and you grow you know you usually make a positive change or you know what to avoid next time or whatever so I wouldn't change anything for my past um yeah I think there's you know I can understand if there was someone who was like you know I took that left turn instead of turning right and so and so got killed like that kind of shit is like whoa I get
Starting point is 00:14:29 that but who knows maybe you had to go through grief and pain and no one should have to deal with tragic loss but um to live your whole life regretting that like there's at some point you gotta just let go and let just the I don't know it's easier said than done I know there's there's better advice out there than Jacqueline tired of shit on a fucking Sunday night you get what I mean that's a good question um let's see next question I think I want to like wrap this I could just talk about shit for a while after this Q&A um what's the weirdest thing about you um what is the weirdest thing about me um lately my family's like why are you acting like a five-year-old why why are you acting
Starting point is 00:15:20 like a two-year-old like my mom keeps making fun of me I just bought this um like when I was standing in line in line at Target here sitting in front of me I have this new little cute it's like a blue whale it's a narwhal looks like a little unicorn whale I got it at Target in the checkout line and my sister and mom were making fun of me they're like why are you acting like a two-year-old why are you buying this little toy and like I said it made me happy I'm like it's so cute I want to like have it I put it on my purse it's super cute I feel like I'm not like I don't baby talk it act like a little five-year-old you know what I mean but I have this they just called it out since I've been home where I'm like running around
Starting point is 00:16:03 acting like a little kid I don't know if that's weird maybe it's because I'm actually super happy for like I'm super happy and content now more than ever so I've reverted back to some childhood childish shit but um I don't know what's weird about me I mean let's think about my day what do I do that's like sort of weird I don't know what's weird I feel like everything like you could say everything I do is weird it's weird that I podcast every day it's weird that I think this is a good enough episode to post even though I'm like slack and tired of shit fucking barely bringing the entertainment like usual uh you know that's weird pros out there would be like dude never post content you're not satisfied with this is a piece of shit you know what it is
Starting point is 00:16:47 Jacqueline do not upload this don't post a low quality content all those people don't get it they're like I it's a win I'm on a streak I can't break no matter what happens each day I'm posting an episode. I don't give a fuck. Okay. You could say it's weird that I, um, I like only paint my nails white. Like that's a thing I do. Um, is there anything weird I do with food or like, like quirks? Um, not, I'm pretty normal. I'm like, I don't think I do anything. I think the way I think a lot of the shit I think is maybe weird and, and off in a little bit out there when I get when I deep think and try to fucking find a solution to some global problem in my head and I try to spell it out like that can get weird where it'll make sense in my brain
Starting point is 00:17:43 but maybe when I say it out loud or tell people they're like completely cross-eyed and don't get it I don't know do I do anything like OCD weird no not really I don't know guys I don't have I'm just, like, a normal, I'm, like, a girl next door, fucking, I just like to do yoga, hang out with my mom, drink coffee, cruise social media, take selfies, um, talk to cute boys, like, that's my life, I don't, I'm not, I'm pretty fucking normal, I don't know, watch football on Sunday, I don't know. Um, are you, next question. Are you a clean or a messy person? Oh, I'm super clean. I feel like, ah, you guys, I'm lying. You know, that is a lie. You guys know that about the beginning of the podcast, that era, the first month I was so in the zone with this podcast and everything around
Starting point is 00:18:41 my apartment was going to shit. I was like looking at, I had my couch cushion cover things, blueberry stained for like a week I had to go get them get them washed and I waited for like a week to do that and then once they were washed I waited for like another five days to put them back on the couch like I was it was a shit show for the first month I mean all the like clutter shit around my apartment was piling up I wasn't really I was so blissed out with podcasting at first that I wasn't really I don't know caring about the cleanliness of my place and um but no I'm really clean I feel like I don't I can't really work unless my like environment is nice and clear I mean I'm not OCD everything's like lined up and squared up and but um yeah I love cleaning I love like my favorite
Starting point is 00:19:33 thing ever is when I commit I'm like Jacqueline okay it's like 7 a.m on a weekend or whatever and I'm like okay I'm gonna block out seven to noon and deep clean and I get all my little brushes and scrubbies and and uh you know cleaner supplies sprays windex soft scrub comment pines all that shit and I clear everything where I'm like you know vacuuming under shit holy shit holy shit I'm vacuuming under my couch I'm back you know I'm like sweeping through everything you know what I mean and I'm going in like that's my favorite kind of cleaning I don't necessarily love the maintenance side of cleaning where you're constantly wiping down your counters you're constantly doing dishes and like you know what I mean like I don't love that I'd rather just like
Starting point is 00:20:21 do it all at once and that that's kind of how I clean I do I keep up with dishes throughout the week and garbage and then once a week I go in like deep deep cleaning but um but I get messy like what's messy dude it's so hard to be a girl with a ton like my clothes I don't know if guys I feel like guys struggle with this too or like just people in general with you know you're like going places doing a lot of shit and you're changing your clothes and then all of a sudden you have a pile on your bed and then it's on a chair like I always have clothes on a fucking chair and I just it like rotates like these are my scrubs that I'm gonna wear around the house I don't really want to put them back in my drawer or in a basket or anything like or in my closet
Starting point is 00:21:01 it doesn't make sense. I'll just like put them on my chair after I shower, like put on my scrubs and you know what I mean? It's just like, I don't know. I don't get like worried about that kind of stuff. Um, next question. Uh, have you ever had a stalker? I think I have one right now. I think I have a stalker right now, actually, guys, I'm not even kidding. Um, so like I said, favorite thing about the podcast is I feel like, uh, you guys know me really well. And cause I, I talk every day on this and you guys send me nice messages that are like detailed about you and your life because you're relating to mine and you know what I talk about. So it's this cool thing, but it's a bit, uh, there are, there, there is someone who is,
Starting point is 00:21:54 I feel like I need to set a boundary I feel like it's crossing the line a little bit and I'm just a little bit like freaked out not freaked out but I feel like it's a stalker kind of vibe or kind of a uh pushing the limits with me through Instagram you know what I mean so anyways uh but I don't think I've ever had like an in-person stalker where they're showing up to my house or following me home. Like I've been pretty lucky. I'm very conscientious when I'm, um, my mom, like she had this fucking bootcamp for how to walk through parking garages. And we were like five years old, like with her, she would like train us from a young age, like what to do. Um, my dad to like self-defense shit. Uh, there's a certain way I hold my purse, certain way I hold my keys,
Starting point is 00:22:45 a certain way I like walk to my car. I literally like, even at the gym, sometimes at night, I'll do a big ass like huge not a u-turn around my car I scope that car out I walk like a dude with a like I walk like a man I have my like I hold my bags a certain way like I'm ready to fucking whack like whack someone um I always consider I never think I'm a hundred percent like in the clear safe it doesn't matter where I am what time of day I think about it um I lock my cars as soon as I get in. I don't sit in my car and chill on my phone in public places. Like I get the fuck out because I've heard of like people opening the door and then you're sitting there scrolling your phone and you know, it's, you're vulnerable and that kind of like, I don't live
Starting point is 00:23:35 in paranoia, but, um, there's it, it, like when I'm alone, uh, you know, out and out in the streets and shit out in parking garages I I think about it every time and um but I've never had like a at work did I have a stalker I kind of had a work stalker I won't say when but I kind of had that where it got like it was like oh I'm eating lunch in the lunchroom during my break and you're working but you're down here talking to me like please go back and do your job stop hanging out with me like it was not cool like I felt like that was like just obviously trying to you know and it was like a age discrepancy where it wasn't some guy that I was like oh you're cute I think you know it wasn't like that kind of thing it was like a older man who would like eat lunch like come and like talk
Starting point is 00:24:34 to me during my lunch break and it was very odd so dude thanks for hanging in there with me today Um, the energy is depleting. Uh, what's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Next question. Um, I think I've answered this before. I mean, use your imagination. I think I always say that it's probably the weirdest thing I've ever eaten. Whatever your imagination, imagination just thought of is probably correct. I licked a banana slug at camp once and I, uh, ate escargot in Paris. You know what I mean? When in, when in Paris, when in Rome, eat that snail. And to be honest, the oysters, um, I might, you know, that when my mom made like oysters are probably when you really think about it, the weirdest thing I've eaten. Like there there's something not right
Starting point is 00:25:28 about like, what the fuck we're eating oysters. How did we figure that out? And especially when you shoot them raw like that's doesn't seem like right I don't know but they're so good um I've probably eaten weirder stuff like dog food like I had to know when you're a kid you have to know what your dog's eating when you have to know what it tastes like like we used when we were little we'd eat dog food I've eaten dirt um rocks sand I guess that's rocks play-doh yeah i was a plate i was silly putty jesus christ glue oh my god i'm thinking of all the kid stuff like the kid uh taste test experiments i would do with all the little like slimy shit around me you had to know you just had to know what that shit tasted like
Starting point is 00:26:19 there's a i think it was a tiktok or a meme i saw that said you could look at if you look Right now, do this. It's, like, so true. Look at anything around you. Just, like, look at it, and you'll know what it tastes like, or you know what that will feel like in your mouth. Every single thing around you. I'm looking at a metal tin with some pens in it. I know what those pens taste like, because I chewed pens all through, you know, school. I was a pen chewer. Jesus, I fucking fall asleep. What the hell? Episode 87, quit. Jacqueline, quit fuck um so I know like that that I know what the pen tastes like I know what that can that tin can that metal taste would be like I even know what these daisies on the the flowers
Starting point is 00:27:07 in front of me would taste like if I chew them um the countertop for whatever reason I know what this countertop would taste like you guys I'm looking at this countertop it's like a older countertop and it's if I bit it I know exactly what it would taste like and I don't know why because like as a kid you probably climbed up on the counter and you would put it in your mouth to help grip I don't know it's a weird thing I saw and it's so true like your iPhone I know what my iPhone tastes like I put that bitch in my mouth sometimes like you're holding too many things in your hand you're like well my mouth is a fourth arm or third arm so I'll just stick my phone in my fucking mouth. Um, I'm going to do one more question. Honestly, I owe it to you guys to do
Starting point is 00:27:52 one more question and, uh, just cut it, cut it short. Cause holy fuck. Um, episode 87. What's your workout routine? Oh, Jesus Christ. Um, first of all, I don't appreciate my mom was like don't you want to go on a walk with me like do you want to go walking after she rode 10,000 meters and I'm like no I have not in this mindset of like working out right now especially like I know like typically I swear to god every year on Thanksgiving I'm running six miles I'm like doing a little turkey burn crossfit workout type of shit and this year has been like none of that and I feel fine I feel like we I don't know it's I don't fucking know this year has been weird for exercise. But honestly, you guys have known this. If you've listened lately, I've been doing
Starting point is 00:28:46 an hour of yoga pretty much every day. I did yoga this morning, which is nice. I walk a lot, go on runs. I like, I just want to commit to yoga. Like I did so much heavy lifting when the gyms in California opened back up. And it's not that I don't like it. It's just like not I feel like sometimes it's like too I don't know how to say this like like the bodybuilding style lifting and like the big glute workouts I did are just like not pleasurable I don't like I don't love the intense feeling like the feeling of like weightlifting as much as I do like doing a yoga flow or like a pilates style workout which is the exact opposite of what I said when I was doing lifting I was like I love feeling like
Starting point is 00:29:42 a badass lifting heavy weight but for the last three weeks of yoga I'm like this is the best shit ever I feel so strong and like fit and it's a challenge like it's a fun challenge every day to get like your poses better and feel more flexible and more connected like I feel really connected to my body because I'm having to like contort contort it whatever the hell like into different positions and like, it's just a different style of exercise. But right now, like that's what I'm doing. And I'm planning on sticking with it. Obviously when I'm home, my mom and I are going to do, um, long walks. We were going to go to the beach today and walk. Um, she offered to do that, but it didn't really make sense. Um, I don't know. And then I'm going to do like biking.
Starting point is 00:30:27 I'm so excited. My mom, she has her, she has my road bike in her garage and I'm like, Oh my God, And I'm shipping that back to San Diego because I miss biking so much. So we're going to be biking, biking together, walking. I'll be doing yoga. Probably I'll probably do some like some sort of strength, strength workouts with the weight she has here. But I don't know if you want to know like my daily workout. Like I do usually walks are in the morning if I do them. Like tomorrow morning, I want to walk with her super early.
Starting point is 00:31:03 catch the sunrise type of shit. Um, probably do that all week and then I'll work. We're going to go to her office and I'll work all day. And then like five, six, like pre dinner, I'll do an hour of yoga and then I'll, that'll be my workout. So yeah, good question. I think I'm going to call it guys holy fuck um this is called Jacqueline's home at her mom's house she's been fucking I don't know chilling out a lot a little bit too much to the point where I'm just I feel like a zombie and I don't know this is like okay just remember keep this in mind if you're still listening at this point that just as a reminder this show is like we I just picked up the phone and I took a phone call with you and I gave you a little update I talked about life like
