What's up, guys? Happy Tuesday. It's episode 89. Welcome back to the show.
welcome back to the show happy tuesday perfect mom okay so guys
Hi. That was my mom. We tried to do something funny there. She's going to be in the background
right now is ambiance. I'm in her kitchen. You might hear a cupboard shut. We got the dishwasher
going. I don't know how this is going to sound. I don't care. It's an audio vlog. Trying to like
set the stage right now. You're in my kitchen. My mom's here. You get the idea. I'm going to drink
my LaCroix. Kick this off. Episode 89. If you're new, I'm here seven days a week. I've been home
for five days. I'm going to do a life update, talk about what my mom and I did today because
it's a lot. If you're new, go ahead and subscribe on the Apple podcast app and you can go over to
patreon.com slash TJMS to support the show. All right, let's get into it. I'm just going to tell
you about our day. Okay, this is what the style of the podcast has become. We can reminisce for
two seconds here and I'm going to go into just a refresh for the OG people from September.
gone are the days I sat in San Diego and looked out my window and watched man bun neighbor do
his workouts with a couple that he was training. I saw their entire weight loss journey during the
podcast. Gone are those days. I'm drinking coffee, cracked out in the morning, doing this after the
gym, talking about hot boys at the gym. Like I don't even go to the gym anymore right now.
It's gone. So this is now Jacqueline's at home in Washington doing a podcast every day. You know,
as I've committed to. And you're getting like, what did Jacqueline and her mom do today? Every
day of the week. So here you go. 5 30 AM naturally woke up for some stupid reason. I set my alarm for
six because I decided that, uh, mom, the background noise is going to get, it's going to interfere.
Am I rude? Is that rude? It's it's you can hear it. Yeah. Maybe I shouldn't do this while the
dishwasher is going either. Is this stupid? Am I going to, she said the sound will be fine. You
guys whatever welcome to the show um so anyways I committed I said mom I'll wake up at six I won't
go do her six mile walk or whatever it is right at six so it was great I woke up I put on the
the biggest coat possible I could find because it's like 30 degrees out put on some wool socks
slept in my leggings to like walk in just jumped out of bed started getting dressed uh my mom's
like ready to go of course pressuring like are we gonna go and I'm like I haven't even opened my
eyes yet can we just like take a moment I need to make coffee I ended up taking my coffee to go
and this giant like Starbucks type tumbler thing you put iced coffee in and I had giant mittens on
she gave me could barely hold it and anyways it was great we woke up at six it was so dark out
cold as shit windy uh stars out clear as day it was so so creepy and like I as I was walking
because we just like as I started walking like wait my mom does this like every day of the week
and she does it alone and she does this at 4 a.m. I actually delayed her walk two hours because I'm
not gonna jump on her circadian rhythm and ride that wave with her and wake up at four and walk
fucking six miles but like let me remind you as a reminder like I said yesterday she rows on her
concept rowing machine she pulls that bitch out in the garage or do you do it in the garage mom
in the she's making up mom she's got maker's mark what are you doing she's making a she's
pouring a shot okay guys this is like live action entertainment right now I've never had a guest in
the room it's weird um okay so it's actually awesome I'm excited my mom's making something
is that for me could you make one for me okay I'm a it's a it's a night it's a little nightcap
we just had a great day I'm getting into it we're just at the first step get the bitters out so
anyways we're on the walk I'm freaking out so yeah as a reminder my mom does her rowing she's
rowing for charity right now uh like 4 a.m that's her wake-up call does that and then she goes and
walks four miles okay when I said she's the David Goggins she's David Goggins with a um
can I say this in front of you David Goggins with a vagina that's that's what I'm talking about
she's a gladiator woman just gets it done so motivated anyways uh so that's it so we're on
the walk okay stars are out full moon we're going down the streets of you know where I used to grow
up in the pitch black it's creepy as fuck we're loud we're talking it's great it was passing the
time when it's dark you can you can like it doesn't seem as far as it is if that makes sense
the roads we walk on are like two miles long each. We did a big square or a big block. And
the highlights of the walk were obviously seeing the stars, the moon. I think Jupiter was out.
My mom wants me to Google it live on the podcast to confirm that that was Jupiter. We saw it in
the morning. It was so bright. I live in the city, you know, in San Diego. And so I feel like
the stars are not as badass as they are out in the farmland here, but I think it's Jupiter.
it's not Mars I don't think it's Mars Mars hangs lower Jupiter in the sky
there's a planet that starts with an a wait a minute hold on hold on mom wait I'm gonna fact
check that we got okay Mercury wait no shit hold on Mercury Venus Earth Mars hold on you said a
A planet. I'm freaking out. I feel like there's not an A planet. Uranus. Oh, you were thinking
anus. Okay. So East guys, we're in, we're only in the first part of the vlog. There's so much.
Why am I making this? It's a vlog. Okay. It's an audio vlog. I know I'm breaking through this
industry. No one's doing this shit. My mom's here. Um, she wants me. Okay. Mom, I can't look
this up very fast. Jupiter in the sky, Southeast, Southeast. Oh my God. Southeast six. She's like
put in the date and the time it was Jupiter. It was Jupiter. Yeah, she was right. Okay. So whatever,
that was a highlight of the walk. We saw some goats and my mom hates these goats or doesn't
hate them, but you smell them. And she says it's ruined goat cheese for her because she passes
them and it smells if you've ever owned goats they smell the smell of a goat is kind of like how
no goat cheese tastes like what a goat smells like and unless you've ever had a goat been close to
goats smelled a goat raised goats whatever you don't get it but that's the vibe so my mom or
that's a scent my mom is like you can't do goat cheese anyways so that was a highlight we uh I
don't know we went up on the dike and saw the river with a moon hitting it I mean that is an
absolutely absolutely beautiful I'm already sounding drunk she's still making my drink
over there don't I mean this is gonna get this is only gonna go fucking weird I I don't know
I'm tripping on my words it's not 8 a.m with coffee I don't know what am I doing should I
quit okay so the river with the moon hitting the river and the trees and then we were walking on
the dyke which I'm just as I'm walking like wait my mom does this alone every morning at four in
the morning what the fuck what the fuck what the fuck this is creepy this creepy she says she has
an apple watch she does 14 minute miles thanks mom okay officially got a drink in front of me
you guys can judge me from this point on as I sip it um it might just go places I don't know
what's this uh she made a man a Manhattan a Manhattan on a Tuesday that's what this is what
being home is all about. Mom's in the kitchen. Yeah. Sweet vermouth bitters, orange peel,
cherry. Yeah. Okay. So this is what, this is what it's all about. Being home is all about
podcasting. Mom's in the background, making me a Manhattan, a Manhattan. I'm talking shit about
my day with her. It's great. This is like the dream job. When I say podcasting feels like flying,
I feel so free. I'm like, I can do whatever the fuck I want. You guys are listening. Hi,
you're listening it's entertaining is this not entertaining I got chicken tendons in front of
me right now I didn't mention okay this is a side note uh because like I said it's a vlogger in the
kitchen with me I was just eating some chicken and you know when you eat a piece of chicken and
there's like a little chewy piece and you're like what the fuck and then you rip it out you're like
you can't swallow this I just said next to my laptop here and I've got chicken tendons on set
okay so highlight another highlight let's see mom's telling stories when she hid behind a barn
one or no no a car she's telling stories about her walks in the morning and I'm like yeah mom
this is not okay it's as a daughter it's like just imagining my mom during the week waking up
early alone out on these walks in the dark and then the story she tells me about the creepy
stuff that happens is like I don't I don't think I'm gonna sleep at night in San Diego so anyway
she's telling me a story about a car that was acting weird pulled in behind a barn and turned
its lights off and she had to pass it in order to get home so instead of passing it she's like I
took a left dipped in the fields I grew up out in these fields I know I know the field routes
she's like I sprinted through the field of void that passing this car that had parked
he's like who the fuck is up at four you know 4 30 in the morning driving around parking behind
some random barn it wasn't a house mom said ted bundy i don't know what that is mom is he a serial
killer yeah so i think she likes my mom is an adventure seeker likes that shit i think she
like we've been in some intense life situations together i feel like there's something about
fear that makes you feel alive and i think she secretly kind of likes it a little bit
or when she's a little bit scared because she's good under pressure
anyways okay so i'm not even getting to what we did after this we ended up doing a bunch of shit
so holy okay taking a sip of the manhattan mom let me do a taste test in front of you
yeah we're classy
yeah just one even though we just had a glass of wine we didn't tell any we didn't tell the people
on the podcast she's okay she's on a zoom meeting mom we'll get into that that's that's the end of
the day you guys stick around for the reason why my mom and I just had a glass of wine okay so the
walk was great the sun came up the moon was setting I'm looking around I'm like okay so why do I live
in a city what what's what the fuck I'm like being a tourist in my own town taking pics taking videos
of shit um you know there's swans there's ducks out there's uh farmers going to work there's
cows there's it's just perfect and I am so like moving forward in life into 2021 and beyond
I'm making trips home multiple times a year I cannot do this leave well honestly it was the
whole pandemic bullshit that kind of held me back from tapping back home earlier but
uh I was home last Thanksgiving I haven't been home in a year so the after the walk this morning
I was like yep I got it good I live in the most beautiful place in the world uh it's always home
it I feel complete here I feel so calm I feel whole I've talked about that yesterday I just
feel like I don't need to try or do or think or exert energy or be somebody or what it's just
like I'm in my mom's house I'm home that walk was like I've walked these streets my whole life
my mama used to push me in a buggy when I was a little baby down these these country roads and
like here we are and you know my dog we used to take my buddy or golden golden retriever on a
walk fuck then we got even then we got depressed we had a conversation that morning after we got
home from the the walk jesus christ it was fucking four miles it was four miles i don't guys remember
me talking about sitting inside for multiple days in a row quarterback of quarantine yeah not proud
of it but i realized my legs don't go that like i don't walk a lot anymore so that was a lot for me
we ended up coming inside sitting down drinking coffee kind of settling in the morning before we
went to the office or no we went to Home Depot fuck I didn't even get into that but I remembered
a story where our golden retriever buddy used to it was so cute and kind of sad and like I wanted
to cry every time I witnessed it he would sit in the yard or like lay in the yard by the road and
like watch the corner where our neighbors who had a golden right they had a golden right
yeah probably a girl it was probably his girlfriend that type of thing they would
walk to the corner and as soon as he saw them this is like in the morning when we'd be going
to school he would and he was kind of old and and creaky his back legs were kind of failing
failing and he had bad hips yeah but he would wait for them and then as soon as he saw them
at the corner he'd run and sprint and he's like old as shit to go and meet them and then they
would walk a couple miles with them every single morning and I just like I thought of that story
this morning after our walk and I'm like, I'm depressed. I miss my dog. I'm like, uh, and she,
my mom, I'm like, mom, all I want is a yard. I just want to, she want a golden. I just want a dog
something. And I'm not going to put a big dog in a city. You guys already know that I'm not doing
the big dog in an apartment shit. Um, but she's like, well, you know, Jacqueline, you know,
for the price you're paying there, you could just move home and have a whole, you could have a whole
plot of land, so magnesium, vitamins, yeah, I stole your mag, I stole your magnesium, I need a restful
sleep tonight, my muscles hurt from our walk, okay, so we went to Home Depot, let me just cut to the
chase, okay, so this morning went like this, walk, Home Depot, we had to get baseboards for her
bathroom, she's refurbishing, yeah, so, yeah, we went to Starbucks on the way, I had to scream out
my order, triple blonde shot on ice with salted cold foam, my mom goes cross-eyed every time I
say it, she's like, I have, like, a tall black coffee, that's what my mom orders, and I'm doing
the whole triple grande espresso, and she's, like, traumatized by that, not traumatized, but, like,
I don't know just coffee to her is black coffee you know what I mean so I got my drink she sipped
it she loves it she's gonna get converted by the end of this month we're gonna get her to
order her own she loves it cheers mom you're my first guest in the background your background
noise so Home Depot we um showed up okay what the hell we could cut to the chase here picked out
two eight foot baseboards. I had to cut those bitches in half. And then, uh, the, the part
that's kind of funny. Cause you know, I just, so like us is my mom doesn't like, we don't have a
truck yet. She's going to, she's looking at a truck, but we had to put those eight foot long
like boards. They're four, four by eight, four inches wide by eight feet long. We had to wedge
those bitches in the Porsche okay now the strategy we we do is I get in the front seat
I roll back like I'm laying on my back the seat you know what I mean and then she wedges
she unrolls the she rolls down the window and then wedges the boards through the car
and then I'm they're like over my forehead and then they stick out over my side of the car
my rear view window what are those called rear view yeah the rear view window on the side on
the right side and then it just sits there and then she like shuts the window a little bit and
they lift up and we ride home but look okay so this is like the highlight of the day and I could
cry right now because I'm just like this is what life's all about this is what this is how to be a
good person and I feel 10 times better after this homeless man interaction we had on the way out of
Home Depot boo um we had these eight foot long bitches in we were secured the bag secured all
the we even got some toilet parts all that shit's in the car we're backing out boom right by
McDonald's sitting on the curb next to Home Depot man you know with a sign mom hands me a few bucks
she had her she had some cash she's like Jacqueline let's give this to him roll down
her window let's do it we ended up sitting and talking for like five minutes he's a really nice
guy from the area probably like 29 missing an eye kind of felt bad he had something going on with
his eye he was handsome like he's a really good looking guy who looks like you know he's got
struggles with addiction or some sort of drug or alcohol he had a truck which was cool he had like
a chevy what was that it's just like an old chevy it was like red and blue or had sideboards on it
yeah, he had it parked out in front of a mattress firm in McDonald's, and we just talked to him,
and I was like, my mom, this is the thing I gotta say, shout out mom, she's sitting right in front
of me, so, hi, you're hearing this, I just feel like the kind of shit, like, acts of kindness I
witness her do is, like, the most amazing thing ever, I don't know, every homeless man, I mean,
not every, but for the most part, if we pass a homeless person, a person who looks like they're
limping, struggling, even, you know, obese people, we just say little prayers for them. We just sit
and take a moment to reflect about why we have it so good. And, you know, we think about them,
we acknowledge their existence. And after giving that man, you know, a few bucks, he probably went
to McDonald's, got some coffee or something. Who knows what he used that for? We don't care. We're
definitely in the camp that we don't care what the homeless man does with the money we give him.
we don't give a fuck whatever makes you happy and gets you through the day use the money for it we
don't care but um yeah you just feel good after and I think it's a domino effect when you treat
people kindly and if you acknowledge their presence hopefully they'll move forward with
a day and do that to someone else or she said when you're looking into when you look into a
homeless man's eyes you're looking to your own eyes we're all the same yeah just what would you
want in that situation yeah mom should you get on a mic you should open i got a box i got a mic in
the box right now we gotta it's fresh and ready to go okay so let me just keep going because shit
i gotta i mean what time is it 8 30 we got to get to bed by 10 so i can get up at 6 we can walk
four miles again see the goats repeat five miles shoot uh correct me here's another sip
pretty good when's the last time i drank this kind of a drink
yeah i didn't drink like you guys did i just had a little wine
it was good though yeah we are we have fun you're afraid of uh guys we like a little beverage okay
Who doesn't? We're alive. Okay. Let me go to my notes here. I wrote a laundry list. What did we
do after Home Depot? Homeless man came home, took a shower, took a cold shower. You guys know what I
do. Changed, went to the office. Um, okay. This is where it took a dark, dark, dark turn.
Oh shit. I didn't add that to the list. Okay. So before we went to the office to work,
we took a detour and went and cleaned the community area and my mom's got rentals
community center at the rental property so we cleaned that out I swept the floor
mopped it vacuumed you know cleaned up everything picked up garbage outside just
did a walk through talked to her friend Jerry he kind of is the he's like the neighborhood
watch there and he's telling us the updates on the neighbors and the man down down beneath him
had he's 90 and he had a open heart he got a valve replacement on his heart today
he came out okay they're saying he can come home probably tomorrow afternoon which is great
so yeah we just shot the shit there cleaned up um but here's where it kind of took a dark turn
not to I don't want to make this all about like Jacqueline felt like she had COVID today or she
was sick but on the drive to the office I started feeling like shit I can't really put my finger on
what it was. It was like tired. And I just felt like shit. Every, my body just hurt. And I don't
know if I was tired from the walk. I don't know if I was over caffeinated. You guys know me. It
was probably underfed, over caffeinated, typical me. Um, anyways, let me just cut to the chase
here. Then we, uh, went to the office. I started working, felt like shit. So I kind of hung out,
nap, drink a bunch of water. My mom was working. Uh, did I do any phone calls today? Did I
call? No, I didn't. Um, yeah, it was kind of a short and sweet work day. Is this boring
as shit? I feel like she said I didn't look well. She kept commenting on the, my eyes
looked red oh yeah she was trying to back time right she thought she was timing she was timing
sorry I don't know if the audio is working right now I've never done this before
background music background commentary so she was trying to think in her head well she's been
here for five days she was at the airport traveling would it make sense that she's got
COVID symptoms starting now okay bottom line I took a nap at her office took a nap on the way
to her office, took a nap on the way to Costco. She had to pick up her cancer pills and she got
some groceries. She picked up a rotisserie chicken. That's the chicken tendons I just
mentioned sitting next to my laptop, uh, that we had for dinner. Um, not that I didn't eat
chicken tendons for dinner. If you missed that part, re reverse the podcast, go back to where
I talked about eating tendons on accident, pull them out of your mouth and you're like, okay,
I can't eat these. I send them next to my laptop. Okay. So I slept at Costco. Then I came home and
took another nap yeah I just needed to sleep I don't know who knows what happened she thought
maybe the cleaning supplies got to me who knows uh she thinks okay and this is where she doesn't
want me to use the word shame but first of all uh I'm like what half her age okay facts are facts
mom don't be in that's not an insult or that's not negative I'm half your age and I felt like
I'll shame the whole day because or for a long time now this you know five days in I'm seeing
my mom wake up at four do all this exercise to just like she gets the fuck after it and I feel
like a lazy piece of shit because I'm not able to wake up and just like do that with her and then
I was sleeping all day and she's like you know Jacqueline like you're 20 it's unusual that you're
sleepy you shouldn't be this sleepy I'm like bitch I hurt I don't feel good I'm like I just need a
nap so anyways um yeah I feel like my mom's also I'm like not in my top shape she's ever seen like
it's not my year to be like a fucking gazelle like I used to be when I come up like I remember
the first time I came home from San Diego everyone went cross-eyed because they're like
is she eating is she okay like what's going on and now I'm like hey I've been wearing sweatpants
all year I've been depressed like give me a break I got blonde hair so I feel like and she doesn't
witnessed me like before coming home I would be like up on a run every morning or doing some
crossfit workout on out on the pool deck or some shit and this year it's like I do yoga when I feel
like it and I take naps and I'm less energetic apparently but you know what I'm my best self
I've been on this fucking podcast 89 days now in a row I don't know that's positive this is my
mental gym which is more important than the physical it's as important as a physical gym
excuse me but um damn I'm happier than I've ever been that's what counts all right so took a nap
watched Judge Judy with my mom ate some snacks we just watched Judge Judy together and it was so
frustrating watching it I don't know if you guys have watched that lately or in the past you've
ever seen these court shows but like these people are so dysfunctional and I took a you know I take
a wide angle view on shit when I watch it I'm like what's the what's the problem here and I and I
realize like details are important in court little bullshit details are important in court but this
this lady was suing for like three grand and she basically lived for seven months like she basically
basically got a free ride to live with this guy for three for seven months and she assumed him
for three grand or something and one of part of that was damn like damages or something to her
property and she was hung up on the details that were like or the the reason why uh she sued for
property damage was the guy had after she moved out thrown her clothes in the corner
and then he had said the mirror that was in the corner in the room where he threw the clothes
had fallen over on them and it cracked everywhere so apparently that cost a shit ton of money to
fix or replace or whatever the fuck and it made no sense I'm like this was clearly an accident
you moved out like a month before and then she goes further she's like and then I saw pictures
of another woman wearing my clothes it was just like stupid little dysfunctional details and I'm
like people like this I just don't know how do you how do you fix that they're just degenerates
through and through. I don't know how else to say it. Like, I feel bad for judge Judy. She's a
quality woman. She's got to deal with this shit. She even said it. She's like, I don't know why
I'm here. You're wasting my time. Why is this even a thing? Like, God, I don't know. So we
watched judge duty. My brother called, uh, he's just like, we talked about Christmas, him coming
home and shit. And, um, I got embarrassed. He's like, yeah, I've been listening to the podcast
has jock like when I'm I was just on a run I was listening to it and I get all embarrassed and
insecure because like I always feel like my brother is my radar of if I'm being fake or not
or like if I'm being myself or not and I always feel like worried he's gonna call me out on my
bullshit which is what he's done my whole life but for the first time he's like no Jacqueline
like you I love that election episode you did that was like my favorite one yeah I listen on
my runs I like I like it because I know what's going on in the family since you've been home
with mom I listen because I know I know what's up it's like a little daily update of the family and
anyways I got I was like okay okay but I still feel weird about it he's the only family member
I feel weird about him listening because I'm like are you do you really like this are you just
sitting there making fun of me the whole time I don't know that's what's healthy about brother
sister relationships I guess I don't know or just sibling relationships but in the past it used to
like, it's crazy how the, like the comments he used to make towards me when I was younger,
like high school, early college hurt the fuck out of me. Like I felt them in my soul because
he was right. And I knew he was right. And it's because he saw that how I was acting outwardly
outside of the home and like outside of just, you know, intimate family situations. He's like,
that's not you bitch like you want that's not you what are you doing why are you acting like that
stop doing that stop taking pics all like he just was like calling me out on me caring so hard and
me trying to be act a certain way and do shit online you know the whole drill I've told I've
talked about this journey I've been on but now I feel like he's like shit Jacqueline that's exactly
how it is when we're sitting at home together and hanging out so I don't know he supports me right
now and that's awesome and he's always supporting me but he actually listens to the show and I'm
like hell yeah that's sweet so um shout out rob he's uh he's he's what am i saying guys i'm not
drunk i've only take taken two sips of this shit um he's my music dude he music guy i don't just
say my brother is a talented musician he made my intro song his uh soundcloud is always linked you
can also follow him follow him on Spotify at Rob Mon it's R-O-B-M-O-N short for Robert Monroe
he's on Spotify and then I link his SoundCloud in every episode so yeah oh Apple Music my mom's
like plugging even more what else do we got Instagram Rob Mon Music all right so what
happened after he called um oh we watched the news the nightly news and I was confused I'm like
why are we hearing about so here's what's funny I'll just say this what was it Lester Holt yeah
okay so we're watching nightly news whatever the fuck and you guys know my opinions about the news
we don't need to get into it I just like it's I sit there and I watch and I go I just like
take notes in my head about the fuckery and this is what they said in the beginning
COVID cases or COVID deaths are now one every minute okay so think about that one so he said
in the intro of the of the nightly news day he's like so by the end of the show there will be 30
COVID deaths okay so serious so okay so I'm rolling my eyes I'm like okay uh not to be
insensitive but just I'm rolling my eyes I just think it's just shut the fuck up so I'm like a
third of the way in they're showing us some sort of car crash situation where car rammed in and
killed five people in Germany okay and that was what at 6 15 so I'm like all right we're worried
about Germany we're talking about the story in Germany in the meantime where five people got
killed today in the meantime 15 Americans according to what you said in the beginning
of the show had just died of COVID by by the end of the show there's gonna be 30 I'm not saying a
death like five deaths don't just a moment mom she wants to chime in I'm not saying those five
deaths aren't important and those people don't count and we shouldn't care about them but
it's just interesting to me I'm like the shit that makes the news is always just like
I don't know I know you got it how to you have to have a global you know bit in there but Jesus
Christ what she's a former news reporter she can speak yes you have the floor
1,600 people die a day of cancer well
of covid yeah okay so and then i was looking up you could go on google i could do this right now
i don't want to uh you can probably look up other shit like how many people per second die in a car
crash it's probably like 10 it's like you know what I mean so I just yeah my mom said how many
women take a punch every minute Jesus Christ mom we I can't wait to get you on the microphone for
real okay have another word haven't haven't have another sip with me cheers dude I haven't I've
been away from my mom well she visited me this summer and rescued me when I was in depression but
like I haven't been home here with her doing this in what yeah an entire year all right so
you watch the nightly news it's about coming to a close here guys my mom took a zoom meeting with
a businesswoman group she got all cute you know how it is you got to get your top half right she's
wearing her pjs on the bottom she's got sparkly earrings her hair is nice I think she threw on
some makeup put on a sexy top she's sitting there she's got her makeup ring light shit sitting off
by the lamp in the living room she had an extension cord keeping her what was your
is that for your laptop no her the extension cord she had an orange big ass orange contractor
extension cord hooked up to the her cell phone to keep it charged while she's doing this zoom
meeting because she wanted to be in a specific seat in the living room to do it and she's sitting
all propped up in prime prep prime prep she's sitting all propped up and perfect the whole
time like mom people aren't looking at you people are looking at themselves in that little camera
they are I know you're on a you just got you you have a high up position in that group or
whatever it's like a business women group there's judges attorneys social workers doctors
secretaries like a bunch of wonderful women they're all moms she said so anyways my mom
had that zoom meeting and they were drinking wine on it weren't they the judge wasn't okay
so anyways that's why that so if you so if you mom i don't know how that this is gonna sound bad
okay but no so if you waited until this point to figure out why we had wine before this
Manhattan uh my mom was with fellow uh she's with her business women women what the fuck
and it was like a girl's you know zoom meeting wine thing so I poured her a glass I poured
myself a glass I got a shit ton of work done I felt better by the way so I got a second wind
after I woke up from my nap and that's when I was like okay I didn't get a lot of work done
earlier at the office I was napping at Costco at the office in the car the whole day so I got a
bunch of work done while she's on the zoom meeting and yeah that's pretty much her day now I'm here
podcasting I think that's it yeah um yeah that's all I have on my notes I don't know it started
out let me recap we did our walk you guys you gotta know how every you gotta know every detail
let me go over it again walk this this is the day mom we had a full day 6 a.m walk starbucks
home depot homeless man shower change office oh we went to the post office we went to the rental
properties cleaned took a nap at the office went to costco she got her cancer pills went home i
took another nap watched judge judy talked to my brother on the phone watched the news mom took a
zoom meeting for like two hours and i'm on a podcast dude boss babes boss babe
what'd you say she said i hope all your listeners had a good day
yeah i this podcast has nothing to do with me it's all about you guys so like how was your day
what's up how's your Tuesday December oh my god holy shit it's December 1st uh Christmas is fully
engaged at this point you can't you can't you can't bitch about Christmas coming too early
like no it's it's December 1st you're late okay just Christmas happens day after Thanksgiving
I'd argue Christmas starts November 1st I'm a I'm a November 1st post Halloween like I know
my mom's kind of a Scrooge this year a little I don't know if you're a Scrooge but she doesn't
want a tree she doesn't want a tree and I'm like okay she doesn't want to fuss with it and do the
ornaments even though she's got two daughters that will be with her the whole month two yeah well
mom boxes can be opened and unsealed so we basically a few years ago separated all of
our ornaments this is why it's a clusterfuck and it's complicated to do a tree this year apparently
all of our ornaments are separated by child in different boxes and like stored away and she's
like I don't want to have to open those and like reorganize them like look I'll just do my section
of the tree with my ornaments Julie like we'll do it in thirds Robert will have a section I'll
have a section Julie will have a section but anyways so there's like no there we have a few
we have poinsettias and we have a couple Santa Claus like a Santa Claus cookie jar
what else do we have she has one football helmet ornament on a tree outside
we have a wreath on the door we have a wreath and it's kind of like a it's a San Diego vibe
it's got like sand dollars on it and like little shells but I think we're gonna do Christmas shit
when my sister comes next week my mom's going off to Savannah Georgia and North Carolina
are north carolina or south okay charleston why do i think that's is that charleston north
carolina charleston south charleston i think it's north you okay this is my mom the last night
it better fucking be first class you said it it better fucking be first class
her boyfriend's taking her savannah in north carolina
she's like we only fly first class jesus christ mom people are gonna come for me be like you white
privileged bitch you're you're talking about your mom's got a fucking porsche and you guys are like
yeah guys i i feel like you only know the surface level information about my life story and my mom
and everything but everything about us is like earned deserved it's not given and we share it
all. We're like, give back. It's not. Yeah. Okay. Mom, Jesus Christ. Mother Teresa sitting across
from me. Anyways, mom, um, what a great episode, episode 89. I'm hitting 90 tomorrow. Wow. 90 days
in a row. P90X. What's a 90 day thing? Is that P90X? That's 90. Jesus Christ. This is like,
this is like verbal p90x I think it's funny let me riff about podcasting I just think it's funny
how like mom I don't know am I being rude to my mom I think I want to talk now I think I want to
finish the show alone yeah just like um quick reflection on podcasting where I'm at in life
like I just feel like I found my thing and that's cool I feel like I've arrived I'm in my mid-20s
I've got my shit together I feel motivated I feel successful I feel I guess here's a quick
synopsis of what my 2020 like life lesson or whatever you want to call it was basically
I was isolated depressed alone for so long and I was like forced to confront my bullshit every day
and like think about it and my conclusion my big epiphany whatever my lesson is that
I do not want to repeat any bad behavior, any bad habit, mindset, useless thing. And I know
obviously shit ebbs and flows, you have setbacks, but I basically don't, I've attacked head on.
I've attacked my problems head on in the back half of this year. And I'm learning how
life is so cool where you can just be like I don't want to fucking do that anymore and you
don't do it anymore you just decide I'm not doing it I don't want anything to do with it
I'm not gonna think like that talk like that act like that whatever your thing is
and you just march for it and I feel like the discipline about the discipline
I'm developing this muscle and flexing everyday podcasting is like
I guess bleeding out into it's like bleeding out into other areas of my life
and I'm slowly noticing how it's a snowball effect so like quickly you guys know I've
started doing yoga again yoga again and I like the thing about yoga like I could have picked
up any other fitness like routine like I could have done you know body I could have sustained
my or continued my weightlifting shit my sister's a big weightlifter type of exercise bunny
she does like bodybuilding style workouts my point is snowball effect let me explain what I'm
thinking I like the idea of sucking at something and being super new at it like I was at podcasting
September 4th when I launched this and then committing to it daily like I'm not talking
five days a week I'm talking for me in my brain it's like every day if I do if I repeat a skill
and build that and if I repeat I have it am I drunk mom look at this is only confirmed this
is only like half gone this is weak shit too is it the cherry fucking me up I don't know am I
tired it's like 9 p.m my point is I like the idea of doing something consistently every single day
and you know I'm doing this shit for a year I've I'm building I'm snowballing I got my podcast
rolling now I'm doing yoga and I like the idea of getting better and better at a skill that's hard
Like it's not easy to be flexible and practice every day and get on your mat and, and train,
you know, I like the challenge of it.
I like that.
I'm not where I want to be yet.
And I'm excited for the future.
I'm like, Oh my God, I can probably by July, I can just imagine how strong I'm going to
be and how, you know, my body's going to be like, I don't know, just so much more limber
and vital.
And I just am excited for that.
And I've, I don't know why this is dumb to think about, but I feel like it's taken me
so long to put those pieces together like set a goal have a goal and then focus on effort not the
end result and just do it every day put the effort in every day and over time it's like boom you're
gonna achieve your goals but I for the longest time had the end result as the primary target
on my brain and I would fall into low self-esteem I'd get negative on myself and talk shit because
I didn't have that end result yet instead of going like what can I do today to get me a one percent
closer to you know what I mean that whole cliche shit like just it's so fucking obvious that I've
listened to so many self-help podcasts motivation podcasts entrepreneurship human optimization on
it Aubrey Marcus shit every fucking Rogan episode I've heard it all I've been information overloaded
for like the last 10 years. And for whatever, for, for whatever reason, I had to sit in isolation
and depression this year to finally go, Oh, duh. It's simple as fuck. You just baby steps,
bitch, baby steps, baby steps. And so, yeah, that's where I'm at. And I like this. I like
that. I've simplified my life. I've boiled it down to simple things where I have like,
this is how my brain works you guys know this I'm like I have a podcast host seven days a week
it's like nothing that's it then I have my job I'm in PR I do media relations for a PR company
boom job third thing yoga that's it I don't need to become some book reading nerd I don't need to
learn how to sew I don't need to go um I don't know on a camping trip once a month I don't need
to learn how to play soccer you know what I mean like I think what happened in the past was I
wasn't clear and specific about what I really want and those are the three things that are
priorities right those are like because podcasting takes care of my mental health my creativity
and my sanity I have to fucking talk to myself every day I don't know why I found out my passion
I got to do it job pays the bills all right we got that and then it's like what's gonna keep me
fit and healthy yoga I love yoga I always fall back on it I don't know why boom that's it so
figure out maybe that's your inspo today I don't know I didn't do Monday motivation yesterday but
just like get spoil your shit down to like two or three things well including your job maybe
three things what fulfills your creativity and stimulates your mind go in on that what fulfills
your you know paycheck and your what pays the bills what makes you money go hard on that and
then like what will make you physically well and strong and healthy to go just like pick it
I don't know I think a lot of people go through life like on a new for example fitness like
me I'm constantly in a washing machine like tug of warring I don't really know what to stick to
or I don't know what to do and but when I just mentally decided yoga I'm like I'm not that I'm
not a chick I'm not a yoga bitch I don't know I don't look like it yet I'm not that flexible but
I'm gonna be like that by July I'll be a lot further along as a yogi in July and instead of
doing it for a month and then going back to bodybuilding and now I'm an endurance athlete
I'm running 10 miles a day. Like instead of doing that, I'm just getting excited about
picking that one thing and going hard. You guys get the point. Am I just carrying this on too
long? I don't know. I have water here. Let me drink out of my, this is a blender bottle. Yeah.
You know what? My mom has like 18 blender bottles falling out of a cabinet right now. And it's all
I can do to not throw away half of them. I think they're all my sisters though. There's just so
many pieces of Tupperware and blender bottles. I'm like, okay, I need to Marie Kondo this bitch.
we need to clear this out I don't know um but yeah does that make sense I'm excited about that
because that's what I learned in 2020 it feels good to get super clear on exactly what you want
to do with your life and instead of being half pregnant on 10 different things and changing all
the time being indecisive like no just pick it and go and I respect you I look up to people like
that I like it when you are like okay Susie bakes cookies that's her thing everyone knows Susie
because she bakes cookies I like it I don't know you don't have to you don't need a label but it's
I have this like higher not respect for people but like it's kind of nice when someone's got
their thing like you know them for something and I've never had that I've just been like Jacqueline's
like, does she have a job? What does she do? Where does she live? Like what's going on?
What, like what? You know? And now I'm like, Oh, I'm a podcast host. I'm a podcast host.
Cheers to that. All right. I'm going to wrap up the podcast. That's all I got for you guys today.

this episode you can give me a one star a two star three star you know what go do a one star
because the one star we talked about today was Jupiter and it's the Jupiter review today so one
star I don't give a fuck I like I like one star reviews I don't care it's not about that for me
I know that's bad for business and bad for becoming some cool like top charts host but
I think for the the fact that it was um Jupiter was mentioned I don't know that I'm thinking
stupid. I'm trying to be creative with my mind right now. That's probably stupid. But mom,
is there a car parked out there? I'm looking at a bright light. Do you see that? Am I tripping up?
You don't see it? Sorry. Oh, it's a shop light. I'm paranoid right now.
