Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi, what's up? Welcome back to the podcast. Happy Saturday. Episode 9, I have to ask, who's catching feelings? Who's feeling some type of way about Jacqueline? Now, I don't want to make this, you know, all about me, but I know I'm the center of attention. I know I'm in the center of attention because you're tuning in and it's just me and my life and I'm a little bit freaked out if I'm being completely honest because I realized that at this point, nine episodes in, if you've listened to them all, I'm just assuming you guys are, you know, you're in deep, but, uh, I'm, I'm guessing that like some of you know details about my life more than your friends. And it's weird. Like I'm talking to you more every day than most
Starting point is 00:00:50 of your friends are like, who's calling you every day and having an hour long conversation and shit. yesterday was two hours two hours and 18 minutes I dragged that shit on but today I want to uh so yeah I I just feel weird about that a little bit uh but I'm on board with it I decided I'm a podcaster whatever I have a podcast I'm a podcaster I'm pinching myself right now I'm actually okay TMI but I'm like rubbing my tits shit should I I need to scrap that sorry um sex sells hey you know what talking about tits a minute into the podcast um but I have like an itch okay it's a thing okay whatever but uh I was even fucking saying oh shoot I don't want to swear that much today I think I traumatized my mom yesterday with the podcast because I I sweared so many times uh
Starting point is 00:01:39 but anyways I decided today I'm gonna show up with a plan and I'm gonna do the Q&A I didn't finished yesterday all the way through. And then I'm going to do the spun quiz on BuzzFeed. This might be a really long one though. I'm feeling it. I'm feeling like sitting down and just really getting into it. But to start off, I don't know, this might be fun. I got my iced coffee this morning. I'm enjoying my routine of waking up, getting pissed off that I don't have coffee in my house and having to get in my car and go and get it. So it gets me up and awake and out of the house, and I have to really push myself, and like, I don't know, it's good, it's good to notice that I'm addicted to caffeine, and have that little meditation time, you know, in the car,
Starting point is 00:02:29 on the way to the coffee shop, you know, swallowing that hard pill that I, I can't even do anything today until I have that coffee, so whatever, I'm, I'm, you guys know me, it's just a thing, everyone fucking loves coffee, whatever, I'm not gonna judge myself about it anymore, and I'm sick of talking about it, but anyway, so I thought it'd be fun, the other day at HomeGoods, I picked up this pumpkin, like, drink syrup stuff for coffee, it's like a flavoring thing, and I'm taking a risk right now, because this could potentially ruin this coffee right now, and I have about three fourths of it left, so I'm still waking up, I'm still getting the day started, but I thought I would attempt to pour this in, I need to like unscrew the cap, unscrewing the cap, take
Starting point is 00:03:20 off the little plastic shit, maybe I should like get this closer so it's like ASMR, can't hear that, there's the plastic, okay, so I'm pouring this in my coffee, now I'm going to do like a capful, thing is with like these flavored syrups, sometimes they taste like shit, this one's like a skinny syrup, zero sugar, it's probably full of like chemicals, but I just want to feel the fall vibes right now when I do this podcast and okay I did a cap okay I'm gonna like get closer I'm gonna take a risk this might ruin it because usually I don't get any flavor just almond milk latte okay here I'm gonna see if you can hear it do you hear that do you hear it pour damn it okay whatever this I thought this would be fun I thought this would
Starting point is 00:04:05 be fun we're gonna experience this this uh taste test together uh I think that sex sells and food cells you know what I mean if I talk about food and drink and sex I'm not really sex so that's the thing I do have a lot of questions to answer related to that today and here's the deal guys I haven't broken that ice with myself yet like do I want to come out and talk about my sex life and sexual stuff because I have family listening and tuning in every day and while we're very open with each other about all that stuff I just feel like it's I just don't think it's my thing okay I know you guys want to know stuff but like go listen to color daddy okay go listen to other podcasts that you know talk about that stuff because here's the thing I'm an oversharer I feel I feel like
Starting point is 00:04:50 I don't have any inhibitions as it is so like I should just talk about my sex life sex life and everything but like it's my my family's listening and I'm just uncomfortable and I'm new to this and I'm new at this and I don't know what's appropriate and what's not um I don't know I should just let them know if each episode that I talk about it that they should just not listen but they probably will I don't know it's weird guys I don't know my my mom like we used to sit around we just as kids like when we were learning about all that stuff we were drawing pictures having really like descriptive conversations about the whole thing And yeah, we're not uncomfortable talking about as it is, but to share my own like stories is kind
Starting point is 00:05:35 of, I don't know. It's interesting for you guys. Cause you guys are nosy and in a good way. And you're like, yeah, sex is interesting. And everyone's like, if I say sex, it's like you're everything in your brain just lit up. Um, so I don't want to, I don't want to like lean on that as my, um, as like my thing to keep people entertained. Cause I think that's an easy route to talk about. So, um, but anyways, okay. Wow. I just sidetracked from my pumpkin caramel drink syrup stuff. I put in my coffee, swirling it around. I do feel flat today compared to yesterday, but it's okay. Yesterday was a lot. So I'm going to drink it live on this audio, this podcast, checking garage band. It's not looking like it's working. Okay. We are.
Starting point is 00:06:24 Okay. Ooh, wait, that was one cat full. that just took it to the next level. Skinny syrups. It's called Jordan's Skinny Syrups. I got it at HomeGoods. It's always there. You know, they have the, the coffee section. I never buy coffee from HomeGoods ever. Like if I'm desperate, I'll pick up like a, that's what I should have done. See, I'm a dumb ass. I should have bought a ground, a bag of ground coffee for my French press because I always have something like that in the house as a backup if I run out of coffee, but I don't. So I bought syrup, but I don't even have fucking coffee. And so yeah, it's good. Um, do one more taste. It's good. One capful is all you need.
Starting point is 00:07:09 I got four shots of espresso today, almond milk and ice. Um, who's getting sick and tired of me talking about coffee? Raise your hand. It's like a Dora the Explorer, uh, which she would ask questions. Like she would have like a pause afterwards. Like as a kid, I remember watching Dora the Explorer, and it was always awkward, I'm like, I'm not actually, like, I'm not, I'm just, I want to watch you, I don't want to participate in this, I don't even know why I was watching Dora the Explorer, I feel like I got into it when I was, like, 13, I think I was way too old, like, the whole, like, swipe or no swiping, I don't know, does anyone remember that? I was into Blue's Clues, I was a Blue's Clues kid, this podcast sucks, all right, but you know what,
Starting point is 00:07:54 I can do whatever I want. This is my show. I can, yeah. So, and I'm kind of pinching myself because here's where I'm at. Before I dive into the fun stuff, I want to just get this off my chest as a podcaster, because now I identify as a podcaster. I'm really struggling to understand in this climate of mental health issues, like chronic mental health issues people are getting from social media I'm struggling to understand why every single person doesn't have a podcast why why don't you have a podcast like everyone so to me I'm like people are people are participating in the thing out there like the social media stuff content creation of the look at me stuff like posting pictures and videos on YouTube that are really edited and
Starting point is 00:08:51 curating this thing on their profiles and Harry I'm talking about social media again but like that's contributing to the issues the mental health crisis but the thing that I believe I want to promote and advise people out there listening to do is do a podcast because I think the therapy we all need is talking to ourselves or a therapist I mean I'm doing both but I really think that sitting down and talking things out is it's the cure it's the fucking cure because I've never been better I have never been better okay I'm so like I just feel close to myself when I talk to myself in the morning and you know what a lot of people would be like this is she's having a psychotic breakdown. This is some sort of like, like who in their right mind thinks that they
Starting point is 00:09:42 should do a podcast. I feel like I'm projecting because I have issues and you probably are like not on the same level and as bad as I am. So it's working for me. But yeah, that's what I have to say. I think, you know, to really get to know someone and to get inside their brain through a podcast is I think good for your mental health and for other people's because it's real. There's no edits. You can't edit this shit. And it's comfy. It's comfortable. I feel like it's nice to have a voice in your head that's relatable, I guess. And I'm not here trying to sell you anything or you know what I mean? I'm just trying to have fun. If I'm having fun with myself sitting here and I, and you're having a good time, this is what that, that, this, that's what this is all
Starting point is 00:10:27 about. I can't even talk. Um, so yeah, I want to get that off my chest and, ah, shit, I don't know if I should elaborate but I do kind of feel like saying this um like here's the thing I feel like it's scary it's scary to do a podcast in this cancel culture where you have to be so careful about the words you choose and everything you say and I'm personally annoyed by that I'm just annoyed by that that's not how I'm not used to that I didn't grow up in a environment out there on the internet like that so my way of protesting that and my way of being like you know what fuck it is to show up and do a podcast and say whatever I want and I'm not sitting here just saying uh I'm gonna purposely offend people but I'm saying that I'm not I hate the word brave
Starting point is 00:11:26 I'm not gonna say that I'm just so brave for doing this in this kind of like I said cancel culture but yeah I do feel like I do feel a little a little bit like you know I'm uh I'm putting myself out on the ledge I'm taking a chance and I'm jumping right in because yeah anyways I just want to get that off my chest and you know I thought about too god I'm elaborating we will do the BuzzFeed quiz in the Q&A we will we will get there hang in there skip ahead if you're bored right now uh but like I said it's my podcast I can do whatever I want um I used to look at people that were in the entertainment industry or like so celebrities and singers and just like thinking actors and actresses and stuff and I was I was always like
Starting point is 00:12:16 who in their right mind like thinks you know what I mean like they like that people should watch them or listen to them and they're interesting you know what I mean it seems like this I don't know I'd always I always question that I'm like how do people just become that and you know what I mean so I'm a big I question everything including and so as a little kid I'm like okay I feel like somewhere in my little soul I have this desire to be like seen and heard I'm a this is bullshit to me but i'm a i'm a cancer born in july uh july 7th 7 7 greatest birthday of all time if you ask me um super excited about telling everyone my birthday apparently um but i'm a rising leo and so that means i'm a like i need to be i'm like a leos are usually
Starting point is 00:13:17 very bold loud mouth people I guess I don't know I don't like I said I think it's a bunch of BS I don't really fall into that um stuff like zodiac signs and whatnot but when I read that I was like oh so the rising thing in me is a Leo so I and it kind of makes sense for my behavior over the years I'm like you know what I grew up on stages like acting and singing and I was always out in front of people my whole life and the last time I felt like really like putting myself out there the first time I really did it was a middle school running for office I was running for president I had little posters I put up everywhere and I did oh my gosh this is such a throwback but I ran for office I wanted to be uh president of the school as a middle schooler and at that
Starting point is 00:14:09 point I was feeling confident because uh you know I'm in middle school I had my teeth fixed at that when I think I started getting I got braces on feeling myself I remember that was the year I really got into American Eagle and Hollister and that was a big deal had a lot of friends I felt popular I felt like somebody because I was bullied well I was bullied throughout the entire time but I was like you know what fuck it I'm gonna run for office and I got vice president I didn't win president which is fun because I get I got to uh the perk of being vice president was you got to dismiss the the school at assemblies and so I got to get on the microphone I got to get on the little microphone and say all right everyone and I would say like kindergarten first second grade
Starting point is 00:14:52 it was so choreographed exiting the building at an assembly was like this I was like the conductor of the of the ship I'm like leading these sheep out of the building and it was really fun but um yeah I remember my when I ran for for president my posters on the wall were iPod nanos neon I I got neon posters and I think it was like now running Jacqueline Monroe, like not, not now playing, but it was like that old first, the first generation iPod nano. I like cut the poster out like that. And yeah, I got vice president, but I feel like it makes sense. Like all my life I've, and even, you know, in, in high school, like leadership class, you know, being in front of the school. Um, I did have a lot, I feel like I was most insecure in high school than ever.
Starting point is 00:15:41 um but yeah for some reason I just feel like called to do this so where I was going with that was I look at other people out there and I'm like I don't want to I never want to come across this my fear like I never want to come across like this big ego narcissist look at me it's all about me you know what I mean but I do think that I'm I'm learning that some people are called to do stuff and the world needs the world needs leaders and communicators and entertainers and I think that instead of judging myself for wanting to do this I'm just like fuck it fly with it you know what I mean there's there's a lot of people we need out there for you know I'm thinking of firefighters right now like they're called to do that so they do it and I think with podcasting and
Starting point is 00:16:30 being some sort of entertainer online like people are called to do it and it's it's cool so that's where I'm at, enough about this, it's like, I don't want to get too deep, but, you know, and I'm also a product of my parents, my mom was a broadcaster, she was a news reporter, she, you know, that's how she got her start, she's always been the leading lady in all of her professions, like, executive director of, she was, like, an ambulance director, she's a director right now of, she, like, helps people get low-income housing and my dad was a editor he shot video producer radio like everything so yeah kind of fucking makes sense that I'm on this microphone right now doing this podcast um so it's cool finally put all the pieces together let's dive into today's BuzzFeed quiz
Starting point is 00:17:22 I think I'm going to do this before um the Q&A because it's fun here is the quiz uh I decided like I said sex cells and food cells people are interested in those two things um so let me on that note let me drink some more of my pumpkin coffee oh my gosh it just got on the microphone shit it's okay you guys are probably just I keep saying I feel like you guys are disgusted when I drink my coffee because it's like asmr and it's gross yeah I kiss everyone on the podcast like I did yesterday is that weird okay so here's the quiz here are 18 so I go to buzzfeed.com I click quizzes and I go they're fun you know what I mean here are 18 foods everyone has an opinion on and then it's like dash but how do your opinions compare to everyone else's all right let's get
Starting point is 00:18:15 this party started so I need to cut to the chase I need to cut to the chase I need to start shit instead of ranting for the first 20 minutes uh I don't even know when I started this so I don't know how long it's going to be, whatever. And my, okay. Literally on GarageBand, wait, is it recording? Uh, it says the time, the number I'm looking at right now is five. Oh, there goes my positive affirmation alarm. My, the number I'm looking at is like five 60. That doesn't mean anything to me. That doesn't say that it's an hour. It doesn't say it's 20 minutes. It just says five 64, five 65, five. Yeah. You guys don't care about this. Um, anyways, uh, I can't wait to have a sidekick on my show to handle all that someday that's going to be in like 20 years you
Starting point is 00:19:00 know what I mean not definitely not the first not the first year here okay first question so again 18 foods I have an opinion on and let's compare it to everyone else's so if you so first question if you do drink coffee do you prefer iced coffee over hot coffee yes iced coffee all the way nope hot coffee is only real coffee doesn't matter I don't drink coffee well we all know the answer that iced coffee all the way. But it really doesn't matter to me, but I'm going to choose iced coffee. And then I stack, it shows you the results and I'm the 30, 32% of people like iced coffee. 28% doesn't matter. Okay. I don't want to tell you the stats. I think, I think at the end, it's going to tell me like a big overarching answer to this quiz. What type of French, number
Starting point is 00:19:46 two, what type of French fries do you think are the best? Ooh, curly fries, standard fries, shoestring fries crinkle cut fries steak fries or doesn't matter um I'm I'm honestly chill with it all uh but I have so I could do doesn't matter but I think oh man this is like tough crinkle cut shit okay the ones I'm thinking of um chick-fil-a fry waffle fries those are the ones I had the most recent and they're not that's not an option here honestly standard standard fries what kind of fries do you guys like I feel like my followers or my my audience here my beautiful audience you guys are so sexy you guys are so hot beautiful and I think you are the most attractive people I've ever seen um I'd love to date all of you in fact I'm that's I'll get to my Q&A but someone
Starting point is 00:20:43 wants to know if they can be my boyfriend and I'm going to say yes. So get ready for that. It might be you. Um, so I'm going to go, I'm going to go standard, standard. Yeah. Standard 33%. I stock up. I'm like everyone else. Um, curly fries, 25%, uh, 18% doesn't matter. Yeah. Just fries are fries. Okay, cool. So that was fun. Okay. Number three, can you, I have to get through 18 questions. holy shit okay number three can you have french fries without ketchup uh yes nope doesn't matter to me either way truthfully it doesn't matter but I'm gonna say yes because I fucking love ketchup and if you don't like ketchup out there unfollow me uh I don't understand in fact one of my exes hated ketchup he had there's an actual disease it's called um oh let me look it up really quick
Starting point is 00:21:30 fear of ketchup fear of ketchup I love like using my laptop to like I'm like Jamie on the Rogan show but for myself uh what is the weirdest phobia ketchup is okay fear of wait fear of ketchup more to secu phobia wait more to secu phobia which comes from australian slang for dead horse which means red sauce fuck that's an actual thing and i know that because one of my exes had that issue with ketchup which uh I don't understand I mean he was British so he put mayo on his fucking fries so I can't I don't I mean I just don't understand um which I will say when in Rome like when I was living there when I was over there I definitely dipped a lot of fries in mayo and I was a fan I feel like they
Starting point is 00:22:21 have a tangier mayo over there or they put something in it like a little tinge of vinegar to like make it a thing that's I don't know good on fries but yeah so I said yeah ketchup can you have fries without ketchup I answered yes 49% said yes 28% no doesn't matter 23 are you guys bored is this a good idea should let me know in a DM if quizzes are fun okay number four is ranch dressing a perfectly acceptable dip for french fries ooh yes no doesn't matter only if I don't have ketchup I mean I'm a sauce bitch I need sauce so when I'm eating fries I feel like the only place I don't really put sauce on my fries is In-N-Out, but I don't really eat the fries at In-N-Out because they're dog shit, unless they're freshly made. So if I'm at In-N-Out
Starting point is 00:23:08 and the fries are fresh, I'll eat them without any ketchup. It's not really about the fries there. I just usually get the burger and call it a day. But I feel like I need a sauce. So I would do ranch if I didn't have ketchup. So I'm going to say only if I don't have ketchup. I just, I need something assuming the fries are are like mediocre I need that ranch so only if I don't have ketchup fuck eight percent I'm not part of the majority uh is so 41 said yes I know there's a lot of ranch lovers out there 41 said yes 41 said no I don't love ranch I don't buy ranch like I don't own ranch I don't think I've I'm thinking of like hidden hidden valley ranch and I only really eat that at other people's houses I feel like I just don't buy my own I should buy ranch
Starting point is 00:24:02 every time I'm at Trader Joe's there's this like but here's the thing here here's the issue I have with ranch every time I go to pick up a bottle I usually don't I'm a label reader as fuck like I look at every ingredient because I care like I do care and a lot of times it's like soybean oil or canola oil and as soon as I read on anything canola oil I'm out fucking out like no don't put canola canola oil in my body at all so every time I pick up a dressing I just like freak out and I put it back so you know what but you know shout out primal kitchen shout out paleo chef shout out uh all these like whole food sauces you can get those are great options and I know they have a ranch and I know I've I feel like I've had it before and it's decent but they make it
Starting point is 00:24:52 with avocado oil and it's like you have to shake it up it's not the same thing what the fuck am I talking about let's get to question five this is a long podcast I need more coffee but hey you guys are still listening and that's cute you guys are like still here with me oh my god okay it's okay don't judge yourself you're staying entertained it's all good um okay number five what do you think goes better with a burger and fries a soda or a milkshake um ooh soda milkshake or doesn't matter are the options I usually would go for soda I usually go for a diet coke uh I actually enjoy that flavor over a regular coke don't come for me and I honestly like I think I like diet pepsi more than diet coke diet pepsi lime specifically
Starting point is 00:25:43 because my grandpa, every time I go to his house, um, like forever, that's the, the soda they have at their house. And my mom and like, we would never have pop in our house, but whenever I go to my grandparents, they had diet Pepsi lime. And that's still my favorite soda of all time because it's very, um, I don't know. It's like, it reminds me of my grandpa's house. And oh my gosh, speaking of milkshake, he would go to this drive-thru or this drive-in called the net. It's in Mount Vernon, Washington. If you know it, you know it. And he would get burgers and fries for us when we were working at his Christmas tree farm. And like on our break, we would, yeah, my grandpa and grandma had a Christmas tree farm. Fun fact. It's kind of sad to think about
Starting point is 00:26:25 because they sold it. But when I, like I grew up on that little farm and so he would always get little strawberry milkshakes and chocolate milkshakes from the net. And so I feel like have to say milkshake I do prefer it over the soda when I think about it a little strawberry milkshake but sometimes I'm just I just want to go for the milkshake by itself but I really think soda does because then you got fries the burger and soda that's enough I can't do a milkshake with that 58% said soda yeah I'm one of the the majority here 26% milkshake okay I want to breeze through the next questions here is it okay to eat breakfast or for dinner I'm just answering yes of course it is. 73% said yes. Next question. Is avocado good or gross? It's good. Okay. Who would
Starting point is 00:27:10 say it's gross? Um, 22% said it's gross. 66% like it. Which type of pizza? Number eight. Which type of pizza is better? Deep dish or thin crust? Thin crust. Um, okay. But it doesn't matter to me either way. Deep dish is fine only when I'm in Chicago. Honestly, if I'm not, I'm not a pizza snob pizza to me is pizza even like frozen pizza out of the grocery store is still pizza and it's like it's good I don't think I mean obviously there's a spectrum of like really high quality artisan like fresh from fucking Italy pizza and then there's like DiGiorno's but I don't have a preference really I'm gonna say it doesn't matter to me either way because if it's in front of me if I go over to someone's house and there's pizza there I don't give a shit that it's deep dish or
Starting point is 00:27:57 thin crust. I'm still going to eat it. Um, 54% said thin crust. They're all on a fucking diet. Can't relate. Uh, doesn't matter to me either way. 21%, 19% deep dish. Don't be that. Don't be that asshole on a diet when there's pizza in front of you. Don't be that asshole at the table for dinner. Everyone's getting pizza and you're the one getting the fucking salad. Eat the slice of pizza. If I've learned anything in my years of like growing up and being around people, that is so annoying. And I, I know what it's like to be that person. And so now it's like a policy, a personal policy I do where if I'm out, if I'm socializing with people, I just, I participate in the good eating. I don't do that. Um, I'd like a side of broccoli,
Starting point is 00:28:38 um, please no sauce. And then a side of salmon. If you're ordering your meal from the side menu options, go fuck yourself. I'm sorry. Maybe you have IBS and you have a really strict diet. Um, maybe a little shit your pants if you eat dairy. I don't know. Fuck. I'm being so, I'm really going off. Number nine. Do you prefer mashed potatoes with lumps or, or creamy smooth? Oh, I don't like that description. Do you prefer mashed potatoes with lumps? I don't give a fuck. They're mashed potatoes. Some lumps, creamy or doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. 25% said doesn't matter. 40, 46% like that creamy shit in their mouth. Okay. Good to know. Uh, okay. Does cilantro taste good? Yes. Next question. 52% said yes. 30% said no. It freaks me out. People think some people have
Starting point is 00:29:28 that gene that makes cilantro taste, um, like soap. It doesn't make sense. I don't understand that. I put cilantro on everything. I'm a cilantro. I'm a slut for cilantro and I bite. Okay. This is the thing that's a problem I will say of an issue with cilantro because I I feel like I waste a lot of cilantro I don't know if anyone out there does too but like I'll buy a bag from I'll go to the section of the herbs don't go buy that standard shit buy that organic shit because it's probably sprayed that's just my conspiracy in fact I know there's a lot of talk about organic versus regular there's not a huge difference and for some things but I don't know for cilantro I get the organic shit. It's like a 30 cents more. Um, Oh yeah. I could totally talk about my conspiracy about food
Starting point is 00:30:16 when people say like, Oh, whole foods is so expensive. I have a thought. And I, when people say things are expensive, I just, I, I think it's, uh, people have a distorted view of money and it's, it's lemon limiting them from walking into a whole foods and buying food. That's actually not as expensive as they think so anyways but moving on uh cilantro I buy so many bags of it because it goes bad so quick and then all of a sudden I've got like a rotten bag in the back of my fridge that I forgot about from a week ago and then like two new bags of cilantro so I think I should get a cilantro plant to like avoid that question number 11 this podcast is getting too long you guys want to know the Q&A you want to know who's going to be my boyfriend you want to
Starting point is 00:31:01 know all these questions but either skip ahead or stick with me because we're talking about bagels right now bitch number 11 should bagels be eaten open-faced or sliced like a sandwich what I don't really eat bagels open-faced sliced in half like a sandwich depends if the bagel has something on it I've never considered this question I don't think I've considered this question should bagels be eaten open or sliced like a sandwich isn't that the same thing if you slice it in half like a sandwich it's sliced in half like it's open-faced it's the same thing or would you put bread on the bottom something in the middle oh like okay let's make a scenario scenario here this is like a Saturday food and Q&A podcast so let's talk about this
Starting point is 00:31:51 bagel right now let's build a bagel together okay I'm having a bagel what am I doing bagel she's everything she's an everything bagel sliced in half because you have to put something in between then I'm putting cream cheese on top because let's just make this a simple situation cream cheese everything bagel now am I doing cream cheese on both sides and eating one slice at a time like the bottom first then the top or am I doing bread cream cheese bread and making a sandwich and biting into no I'm doing I'm doing a slice so I'm going to say open-faced because then it's like not so bready because if you take a bite of a bagel like full-on it's a lot unless it's a breakfast sandwich then I have to say if it's a breakfast sandwich I'm eating that thing
Starting point is 00:32:38 like a sandwich I think it depends yeah I'm gonna say it depends I really I really um I really worked that out so I I arrived at the answer that it depends it really does um let's see if anyone else use their brain like me? Nope. It looks like 23% have a, have a brain and thought about that question. 33, 33% said open-faced, which I almost did. Uh, but I caught myself cause I'm smarter than that. Um, yeah, you guys all know I'm just this really intelligent, really intelligent woman. That's why you tune in not only for my nonsense, but for my intellect. All right. Should real homemade mac and cheese number 12 should real homemade mac and cheese be made in the oven or is just on the stovetop okay I don't fucking make homemade mac and cheese I buy the box
Starting point is 00:33:26 stovetop is cool it needs to be put in the oven honestly it depends the type of mac and cheese this this quiz sucks honestly stovetop is cool but I I will say I went I went hard in the paint I said that yesterday a lot but I did a few thanksgivings ago I remember making pumpkin fucking mac and cheese because I kept seeing on social media people had mac and cheese as a side for Thanksgiving and my entire like lifetime. I think I was probably, let's say like 19. Finally, after 19 years, Jacqueline decided to provide mac and cheese for the family and the extended family and the cousins and the aunts and the uncles. And I made pumpkin mac and cheese because our whole life we would go with no mac and cheese as a side on Thanksgiving. And I feel
Starting point is 00:34:12 like I was the one that had that epiphany one year saw it on social media of course and was like oh we need we need mac and cheese so I put that shit in the oven I remember I did a little bread bread crumb top and I put it in the oven and honestly wasn't that good the pumpkin was just a weird thing combined with the cheese I don't you know it's like some shit I saw on Pinterest in fact I still have that Pinterest board I'm sure I think I did like a what I want to make for Thanksgiving Pinterest board because every time I go home to see my mom I get all I get so giddy about cooking and baking with her because like that's how we bond and I miss it so that's honestly why I'm going home for a month this holiday season because I just want to have like
Starting point is 00:34:49 an extended uh play date with my mom in the kitchen and cook and bake every day and I swear she's baking bread every day she's baking so much stuff um it is it's cool I can't wait to be her someday in fact I'm fine I feel like I'm turning into my mom the older I get I'm like I'm starting to I'm starting to do things that are reminding me of my mom okay this is a really long quiz but you guys are getting some stories I'm talking about other things so it's true you know it's it's okay um but yeah I feel like it does need to be put in the oven if you're making it homemade let's do it right 21 said it needs to be put in the oven are pop tarts cold no number 13 are pop tarts better cold or toasted I'm team cold pop cold pop tart last time I bought a pop tart was
Starting point is 00:35:38 in a vending machine I ate it right out of I ate it cold I don't like warm pop tarts and the strawberry one's fine the strawberry one's fine I don't really have I don't really care about the other flavors like just give me the standard strawberry one um I don't even remember the last time I had a pop tart I think it was at my sales job I had before the coronavirus uh robbed me of my career there uh but I had a there was a training room there was a training room and right outside of it on our break uh we would all like go to the vending machine or like 7-eleven together and I remember I the last time I had a pop tart was like in March before coronavirus and I got it and I ate it cold so I said cold and 25% agree next 14 we're almost there 18 questions you're
Starting point is 00:36:26 hanging in there like I said skip ahead if you're bored what's the best way to eat eggs number 14 know this is this is interesting scrambled fried hard-boiled doesn't matter so the best way because let's not let's not be uh indecisive let's just have a decision here between I'm gonna x out hard-boiled and go between scrambled or fried I'm a fried egg bitch I love that yolk I love that yolk I'm saying fried 26 said fried 42 said scrambled well those are little bitches who can't handle a little goo in their mouth and apparently according to everything I've researched or unintentionally researched on Instagram if you go to that fucking discover page on my Instagram there's a lot of like uh food facts and like recipe shit because that's usually where I get
Starting point is 00:37:16 my ideas for like recipes and stuff but I read somewhere at some point that the yolk has all the nutrients so it's actually best to eat it like raw or like you don't want to overcook the yolk so I don't know I read that so I usually do a fried egg and I it's really runny and I really okay this is I I'm gonna just tell you something I like to do I've been doing this for years I like to do breakfast salads and I like to do a fried egg on top of arugula so it's like a salad but the in the night um have the egg on top it's so good I used to make arugula salads in the cafe I worked out a year ago and I've come a long way. I can't believe I used to do that job. I literally was a line cook. I said this a few podcasts ago, but yeah, I talked about, oh, my first podcast,
Starting point is 00:38:00 I talked about the last year and I had a lot of, um, a lot of jobs after I quit my startup job, which is a question on one of my Q and A's, but, uh, my, one of my favorite jobs and so fun. I like woke up really fucking early, like four 45 to go make breakfast for people. And I used to make arugula salads, and people would get poached eggs, and it was really fun to do. Okay, number 15, do you like fried eggs with a runny yolk or fully cooked yolk? We just went over this, runny, I like a runny yolk, I'm brave, I'm a risk taker, and I disregard that myth about salmonella, apparently it's been debunked, so eat your raw cookie dough, don't worry about it eat your raw brownie batter don't worry about it eat your raw eggs don't
Starting point is 00:38:51 worry about it um okay number 16 so 54 like their egg yolks runny that's cool that's cool I'd like to see that um okay number 16 which pie must you have I think your Thanksgiving dinner pumpkin or apple 100% pumpkin like it's a must over apple oh what the fuck what the 44% of people said apple 33% said pumpkin I feel like pumpkin is the Thanksgiving pie it should have I thought that was going to win by a landslide I thought that was going to be like a 90 percenter interesting maybe maybe people I don't know apple's good like we always have both my grandma makes a great apple pie because it's usually with her apples from her from her house I miss my grandma she's a really great
Starting point is 00:39:47 garden every year and um really good really good produce I'm always thinking of like her Swiss chard sometimes I go to the store and buy Swiss chard and pretend like I got it from my grandma's garden and what she does is she boils the shit out of it with water she'll put it in a pot with water boil the water and then put the chard in and then when you boil chard down to like nothing where it's super soft it is so good and then what you do is you take a little I feel like it's white vinegar she does you just like do a little tinge of white vinegar on top and eat it as a side to the meal it is so good oh my gosh I'm gonna buy chard okay cool two more questions we'll get into the Q&A and I won't take up all your day so does ketchup belong on a hot dog absolutely what the
Starting point is 00:40:33 fuck is that even a question so yes nope that is sacrilegious is number two doesn't matter to me either way number okay yes because it's 2020 and people are putting crazier things on hot dogs but technically no I mean I'm cool with just mustard on a hot dog but I'm gonna say yes you guys know I like I fucking love my I love ketchup 71% said yes uh yeah of course who doesn't like ketchup on a hot dog unless you have that phobia like do the combination let's just talk about it let's have a conversation about it the combination of ketchup and mustard works so if the two options are in front of me I'm doing it together but if I don't have the mustard I'll just do ketchup and uh oh my god if I had relish and sauerkraut if I'm doing that if I have like a really high
Starting point is 00:41:23 quality hot dog in front of me I'm doing like everything but do not put mayo on that shit and do not put cheese on that shit. The chili dog, chili cheese is okay on a chili dog, but not on a regular hot dog. When the, I keep seeing this stuff. I'm like, I don't think I've had a hot dog in, I don't even know in the last time I had a fucking hot dog. I should buy hot dogs. So I'm going to buy hot dogs. I'm going to buy ranch. What else am I going to buy after this quiz? Um, I don't know. Okay. Last question. We're getting there guys. You guys are, you guys are you're hanging in there and finally number 18 do you cut your sandwich diagonally or in half well I'm not poor so I do it diagonally poor people do their sandwich in half um it's that's
Starting point is 00:42:06 just the way it is uh if you look around in school the poor kids had that shit cut in half the thick way rich kids had it cut at a diagonal and I'm just putting it out there okay saying it like it is that's what this podcast is all about I'm taking a risk speaking my mind um feel free to tune out if that just offended you do not cut your sandwich in half the thick way and you know what I might take this issue up with board and brew board and brew one of my favorite sandwich establishments here in San Diego I love their turcotto their turkey sandwich it's great after a beach day uh it's it's a meaty it's a meaty sandwich great turkey great turkey and I want to take this issue up with them because they're doing their cut in half thing and every time I
Starting point is 00:42:51 bite into it, I'm like, I feel like a poor kid. So diagonal is the way it's, it's the, it's the correct way to eat a sandwich. Um, I like biting the corner, you know what I'm saying? Like that corner side versus the thick, like middle part of the cut in half sandwich. It honestly makes me cringe. Um, but honestly I think my, my mom always cut it. How did she cut it? I think she flip-flopped. I don't think my mom was consistent in her, like when she made school lunches for us as kids I have two other siblings and literally guys we were this so my brother is two years younger my sister's one year older so imagine my mom getting us ready for school she had a full-time job my both of my parents were like full-timers we're little kids putting
Starting point is 00:43:35 on our uniforms every morning because I was I was a private Catholic school girl now I'm just telling stories about my life because you guys we're getting to know each other you know what I mean like how are you doing I always have to ask are you doing okay are you hanging in there but I'm telling stories because you know like this is we're dating and you're getting to know me and I know you're catching feelings because let me know what other girl in your life right now and this is for this is for girls and guys I'm not just talking about the males out there I'm talking about everyone because you know what you can catch feelings for a girl and be like friends and be like oh my gosh I want to be your bestie or it can be like you know like a guy you know
Starting point is 00:44:12 interested in a, like a relationship-y way. But, um, let me know, like who, who out there is in your ear this long? What other woman do you have talking to every day? I'd like to know. Okay. I'd like to know. Maybe you do. Maybe you do. Maybe I'm assuming that you're, you're lonely. You don't have any, you have no action going on in your life, but, uh, it's kind of a weird thing to realize. And you guys, we're going to have this really intimate relationship over time because my audience gets to tune in every single day, it's crazy, so back to what I was saying about my mom, she had three little shithead kids going to Catholic school in the morning, yeah, she had to get us all ready for school and make us lunches, and I can't believe she did that, honestly,
Starting point is 00:45:00 and we were good at, like, we would make our own lunches, like, I remember making my sandwich and stuff, and my dad would make, he would make really good sandwiches, in fact, we had, like, a phase, I think of like really like we had a phase of really good sandwiches every day for school that was such a thing like you go to school with your lunch bag we would get on the bus or like sometimes we would they would you they would usually drive us to school because it was on their way to work um but sometimes we would take the bus home now I want to tell stories about my my elementary school days now I want to do that maybe I'll do a podcast on school stories you know what I mean but let's uh end that quiz there wasn't some grandiose final answer that was like
Starting point is 00:45:43 how I stacked up compared to everyone else but honestly that was a big ass waste of time I don't know how long that took but now you know about my preferences and opinions about like common foods and stuff and if you learned anything today because let's say I excuse me I'm like having an issue right now hold on let me drink some water I feel like I have to leave you guys some sort of educational component a little takeaway so today you learned that people have a phobia of ketchup called more to secu phobia more to secu phobia more to secu phobia more to secu phobia more to okay I'll stop saying it but you learned that today so if you got through the quiz it was worth it because you learned that and this wasn't all about me that was me literally trying to be
Starting point is 00:46:33 your school teacher and teach you something um while I was talking about myself there was a takeaway there that was important for your life and it's not all about me because you know I have that fucking fear of people thinking I'm full of myself and like I said I'm projecting because I feel like that and I'm not like I'm like that's not where my heart is that's not where my intentions are okay I want to be the change I wish to see in the world and I want to use my voice to help people and oh my god I get emotional man I'm like I can't believe I'm sitting here doing this I'm treating this like I'm like 20 years deep and I've been doing this for years and it's like the feeling I know I'm gonna have this this is what's cool the feeling I know I'm gonna have
Starting point is 00:47:20 over time so like in five years in 10 years is to think about all of the people out there that might be going through something and maybe they're lonely or whatever. And just knowing that I helped them through it because they listened to my voice every day and it gave them some sort of comfort and some sort of, um, like entertainment. And it took them away from their dark times because here's the thing, not to get deep, but I know what it's like to listen to a podcaster for a long time and really feel like I look forward to it. I look forward to their new episode and I'm like, oh my gosh, it's a really great part of my day. So, hi. That's why I'm doing it. That's my why. It's like, what's your why? Remember your why. That's what they always
Starting point is 00:48:12 tell you when you're starting a business. Don't make it about the business and the power that you're gonna have someday and whatever like getting huge it's about your why and you can't bullshit your why like you can't I feel like some people have a fake why just to make it sound good but my why comes from personal experience and what I just said is is something that I now want to contribute to you so cool um and let's have another sip of my pumpkin coffee why am I talking like a two-year-old? That's one of my turnoffs. So someone asked what my turnoffs are and guys in the Q and a here. And one of them's like talking like a baby freaks me out. Um, okay. I'm literally playing like ping pong with myself.
Starting point is 00:49:05 So, you know, when you have a conversation with someone and you're, it's like ping pong, it's fun. You're like shooting ideas back and forth. They're saying something you're like feeding off it you're pinging your it's ping pong you know things like a ping pong board I literally took that fucking ping pong ping pong board and I flipped up the back half of it if you've ever done this with a ping pong board you know what I'm talking about I literally flipped that shit up faced it towards me took my little paddle my little ping pong ball and I'm just hitting the ball back and forth with myself having ping pong by myself this is like a one-sided fucking conversation and I'm I'm working it I'm working it I'm going pro at this shit I'm going
Starting point is 00:49:48 pro okay like I said yesterday it's like I'm a fucking vocal cord DJ or something I'm like a my like my contribution to society is combining my like brain synapses what's the term my brain uh electric my electrical brain waves something like that combine that with my vocal cords and then spit it out every day that is my contribution to society that is what I'm doing so I'm like I said holding down a regular job but I'm also doing this and uh yeah hi playing ping pong um I love ping pong we used to have a ping pong table in our garage and I love it all right so getting into the Q&A uh question number one can I be your boyfriend I said earlier uh yes I was gonna say yes to that question but here's the thing
Starting point is 00:50:51 I don't feel like dating anyone right now I don't want a boyfriend right now okay like just understand that just not really feeling that right now personally like I'm just not but um yeah someday I could see there's some potential with us I think if you ask this question you know who you are so um oh my gosh no one out there get jealous this isn't real this is not real like they are like it just understand that this person who asked this is it's kind of like a playful thing You know what I mean? Like we've got some banter going on in the DMs. Yes, I DM people. Like I have multiple, um, DM conversations going at all times. People that I'm like actually interested in and like just everyone. I respond to my DMs. I've always done that. And I think that's, that's
Starting point is 00:51:40 what's been fun about Instagram is that it's fun to like shoot the shit with people and talk back and forth in the DMs. But yeah, you can be my boyfriend, uh, potentially, you know, I'll think about it, like I said, being, being playful, and being light, I'm really not looking for one right now, but I could see us dating, I could see us dating, I think we're, honestly, like, we'd have amazing, like, our kids, okay, why am I talking about kids, but, like, you, I, I, I, I don't want to be shallow, but, like, I think I'm at that age where I'm thinking about, um, like, when you're this, when I'm in my 20s, like, you, like, you're attracted to people, certain people, because of passing on your genes, and you're looking for, like, good genes, and, like, that's why I think
Starting point is 00:52:27 that, I don't know, like, I just, like, people that are really attractive are usually my type, I don't, I have an issue, I don't, I like what I like, whatever, deal with it, but you know what, I'll have to say this like if you can't hang if you can't flow with me if you can't have a conversation uh in your hot like that's just done to like sorry nice try it's really funny when people come come at me with like dry dad jokes like they're not interesting like they're they're they're riding on their looks their whole life and they're not actually funny but they think they're funny they'll try to be funny with me and sorry I'm a lot to deal with I'm a lot to handle you're coming you're coming at a fucking pro I'm a pro this is my job I like I said earlier I do
Starting point is 00:53:14 I talk for a living uh this is now my career so episode nine um I'm working for free right now I'm volunteering um but it is my career so just understand like if you're trying to if you're trying to come at me with a witty conversation in the dms just be prepared for I usually roll my eyes I'm like this is it this is all they can fucking do boring boring so I get really excited I'll say this if you're a guy and you dm me and it's flowing like I'm actually going back and forth with you like understand that your sense of humor or your like texting flow fits with mine and that is super important I will say that there's something about that if I if I'm texting you and it's not flowing and I'm having to really stop and
Starting point is 00:54:02 think about how to respond to you because your like humor is kind of weird and dry and it's not really flowing with mine I got a problem with that and it's it's not easy to have a relationship people that are like that and honestly I was dating an older person at one time and uh like older like by I think it was like 10 years 10 years um if some of you might know who I'm talking about but like the I guess our texting was like flowing at first but I there was an I noticed Like there's a, there's a generation gap. There's like an issue because you don't have my lingo. You don't have my young, like millennial lingo. I think he was like the last age of a millennial. I think that's how old he was, but Oh my gosh, I don't even want to just talk about that person
Starting point is 00:54:48 right now. But, um, anyways, uh, so yeah, the first question was, can I be your boyfriend? We only got one question down guys. I need to fucking hurry along. Um, okay. Let me go to another question. It's kind of like quick. Uh, were you team Edward? I'm looking at my Instagram. You guys asked me on my story. So I'm looking at that. Uh, were you team Edward or team Jacob? I'm guessing this is when a twilight was around. I was definitely team Edward. He's a hot man. Uh, what's his face? Uh, I wasn't really attracted to, and I didn't like, um, why can't I think of their names Edward and Jacob what's his name oh my gosh Edward from the Twilight I'm looking up on um Jamie I need your
Starting point is 00:55:35 help Edward uh Twilight I'm looking up his the actor's name oh my gosh come on Robert Pattinson I thought he was hot when I was younger watching that uh now I realize that he's kind of like creepy but uh yeah I was team Edward so quick question I'm gonna move on because I and here's another quick question favorite holiday Christmas hands down Christmas um especially this year I know I've talked about it but I'm really excited to go home and have like a really warm and fuzzy holiday with my family and do all the things I love to do when I go home just be with my mom and like go on like little I don't know trips to the co-op together which is the little grocery store where we get like our morning coffee and go to my grandparents house and sit on their couch for
Starting point is 00:56:26 like five hours and do nothing and just be there just be with them in their presence like I'm so excited for the holidays but yeah I feel like Christmas is the best one just because I love to bake and I love to like I love gift giving I love it I love one year when I was balling out I was working at Coach. I worked at, so in college when I lived at home, I worked part-time in different like retail shops. I was at Tommy Hilfiger. Then I was at Coach and Juicy Couture. Where else did I work? But anyways, one year I was like really saving up my money for Christmas time. Like I didn't have to pay rent. I lived with my parents. It was a great time. So I remember going and gift giving or excuse me gift shopping at the mall and I think I balled out I bought my
Starting point is 00:57:15 mom like an entire skincare line and I like bought I bought so many expensive gifts for my family at that time I was only like 18 I think I think I was 18 but I love that process of thinking about someone and going like oh what would they really love or like what would they not buy themselves but I could get for them so yeah I love Christmas for that and baking and being with my family and like I said earlier, I grew up on a Christmas tree farm. My grandparents were Christmas tree farmers. That's a thing up in Washington. And it was so fun. Like they went all out. They had the cutest little like shed where inside we always had like, there's like heaters because it got really hot or excuse me, it got really cold. So we'd all go and sit in these chairs by
Starting point is 00:58:00 the heaters and take little breaks. And they always had animals, like a ton of bunny rabbits and llamas, sheep, horses. What else did they get? Peacocks. Every year they would, there is a guy with kind of like a funny farm. I forget his name. Was it Vern? I think it was like Vern. Oh, I think he passed away too. But he had a ton of bunny rabbits and all these little animals and goats. And so every year for the Christmas season, they open their Christmas tree farm the day after Thanksgiving every year and up until Christmas Eve. And my grandpa would like, the guy would bring all these little animals to the Christmas tree farm for people to pet and to look at.
Starting point is 00:58:47 And so it was so fun to be around. And like, I was sitting there like, I don't, I was driving the lawnmower around cutting down trees for people with a, just a handsaw. My grandpa always had the chainsaw. there's a couple workers that had the chainsaw but I had the little handsaw and I was probably 12 I consider that my first job like when people want to and honestly I was exchanging money counting it back to people at that age like I was like I was handling the transactions and taking people's checks and doing the whole thing and my grandma that's where I learned how to count back
Starting point is 00:59:18 change to people like if someone gives you a hard um amount of like okay if someone gives you a $1.23 and or if someone if the amount is $1.23 and they give you two dollars and you're sitting there without a cash register or any sort of calculator how do you count it back to them so my grandma taught us I was really little you go 23 and then you get two pennies 24 25 now you're 25 cents and you get then you get to get to two dollars you need three quarters so you're here's a quarter if there's another quarter three quarters there's two dollars you give that back to them that's your change so I remember doing that really young and I loved Christmas time because it was like this whole event for our family and like my cousins were always there
Starting point is 01:00:03 my grandpa and grandma were always there um working and it was so fun and so I remember like that time is like one of my favorite things about my childhood so Christmas it is moving on the next question. I could elaborate forever, but I really need to. Okay. Celebrity crush is a question. Okay. So I feel like currently, okay. I'm embarrassed to say who it is. I'm embarrassed to say the first one, my first celebrity crush right now that's current because it's kind of embarrassing. And, um, it's also because like, I think I'm at the age where I'm starting to get attracted to older older guys like I'm talking like past 40 and it's weird um I never thought that would be possible but I don't know I I'm much I'm attracted I don't have
Starting point is 01:00:57 like a age preference in fact on the other end of the spectrum I'm looking at all these younger TikTok boys and I'm like why are these they're 19 and they're like they're hotter than uh guys my age I'm like what is happening why is my brain like attracted to these younger people and then attracting these old guys, but yeah, my celebrity crush, I can't say, but honestly, like, I'm really gonna expose myself here, but I'm, like, literally, madly, deeply, hopelessly in love with Harry Styles, and what's really awkward about that, if you're listening, and you, um, let's just say it, if you were my ex, and you're listening, which you're probably not, uh, you went to high school with him, and there's a whole story there I could talk about, but that was a good thing about being
Starting point is 01:01:37 a One Direction fangirl back in the day when you know Harry Styles and Niall and Liam and Zayn and all them were popping off uh that's when I lived at home that's when I um was like working and going to community college but I was in deep with the One Direction fangirl stuff and like go to their concerts and shit and um like watch the live streams like everything I was in deep but because of Harry Styles I found so my first serious relationship was because of Harry Styles because his friend it's a long story I feel like I could tell the story but I don't want to do it on this podcast I feel like I could do like a whole I don't know like I don't want to talk maybe I'll just cut to the chase here's the thing this is about not being attached to my stories and not
Starting point is 01:02:29 not being ashamed so I'll just tell the story like quickly um basically Harry was um talking about Harry Styles because I said he's like the reason I'm like so just obsessed with him and just so attracted to him is honestly because um he looks like he could be my fucking brother to be honest um I look exactly like his sister a lot of people tell me I look like Gemma and his mom looks like my mom it's really weird so I feel like I've always been attracted to people that look very similar to me it's weird like that's just it's I don't know if that's gross but like yeah that's just the case um but anyways back in the day I saw on Twitter because I used to follow all of them on Twitter Harry was golfing with one of his friends from
Starting point is 01:03:08 high school when he was visiting home and it was his friend Jack which I feel like Jack if you're listening this is so embarrassing but I'm telling you like how I met Joe so Joe is the guy I dated so I'm just I'm just name dropping fuck it it's an old story this has been years okay whatever but you guys should know um anyways he was golfing with Jack and then I looked at Jack's profile because I was always trying to like I don't know I was like trying to get involved with the friend groups and like kind of follow along because it was fun you know what I mean at that time it was fun to kind of be in in the know like be on the scene on the Twitter scene like who's friends with who so I followed Jack and then I saw Jack had tagged his friend Joe and I followed Joe and
Starting point is 01:03:52 I was like oh this guy's so hot I was like so attracted to him whatever and um anyways it started from that and we were like in the dms on twitter for a long time and long story short um it got to the point where I was going to transfer to my new college and we were talking for at that point it was like almost two years just like it got more serious towards the second year um and then we were like you know okay let's meet each other whatever so I flew out to fucking London by myself, got on a train to Manchester. I stepped off that fucking train and met him just like the movies and the rest is history. Well, the rest is history. Not really because we're not together anymore. Um, we did the long distance thing for a while and it didn't
Starting point is 01:04:36 work out, but, uh, it was great. It was like some, we had some great vacations together because long distance like that is you're basically like the relationship is on vacation the whole time. so yeah that was crazy that I I told that story because you asked about my celebrity crush uh currently Harry Styles and the reason why to be honest like I recognize in people like him something I want to personally emulate and personally strive to be and I look at him as the most like pure beautiful soul like he's just and I see this in other male celebrities out there but not in the way that Harry is he's just such a um kind soul and the way he talks about things is so like right I don't know how to explain it and so um genuine and kind he's just such a good person
Starting point is 01:05:37 like you can just see it he's like he's got this aura about him that I think a lot of people recognize and he he's unique in that way and so um obviously I'm attracted to him and that's kind of awkward to say that because I know my ex is listening like what the fuck were you just trying to date me to get to Harry and maybe that was the case at that time because I was 18 I didn't know any better and I was honestly no because I'm you're 6'4 and Harry's I don't even think he's 5'5 I don't know I'm just kidding I was trying to make you feel good because you were tall and I thought you were really attractive um that honestly is a bunch of bullshit I still think Carrie's hot, but life, man, I'm telling stories and I'm not being attached to my stories and I'm
Starting point is 01:06:13 exposing myself. And that was a lot of information, but I'll be honest right now. I've never told anyone that I know. No, I've told people that I have a lot of friends that know that, um, over the years I've told that story, but I've never told like random strangers that are getting to know me on my podcast. Holy shit. Okay. Next question on my Q and a here on Saturday, cause I'm trying to stay on task. Um, why did you quit MoveU? That's been a question I've gotten over the last year, obviously, because people know that when I moved to San Diego, I worked for MoveU. I was always around that office, hanging out, working there. Um, honestly, I don't feel comfortable really right now, um, talking about why I quit in my experience. Um,
Starting point is 01:07:05 I know I've alluded to, like, as a woman, it was really uncomfortable to work there, and you guys can probably read between the lines, there's a lot more to it, and if you're curious, some of my co-workers, if you know who they are, if you know who to look for, one of them, I'm thinking in particular, hi, I hope you're listening, I think you're amazing, and I love you, and I miss you, and wow life um but she had posted like a IG live on her profile where she kind of details some experiences she had with the company and because she's no longer there and about 90% of the people like some of the main top people in the company are no longer there so um they've I think some of them have told their stories and so you can maybe go seek out the answers why they quit
Starting point is 01:07:54 move you through them because at this time, like, I'm just not comfortable talking about it. Um, maybe you guys kind of know, like, how I got involved. I don't know. Um, oh, this is weird to talk about. Yeah, I'm just uncomfortable. I do have, like, fucking PTSD from that whole experience and a person. So, um, it triggers me to even think about it talk about it in a not in a good way. And, uh, it's contributed honestly to some bullshit I've been dealing with mentally for a long time now. So, and that's on narcissism and that's on, I'll just say that I'm going to stop. Um, okay. So favorite movie. I love this question. Let's go on something lighter. I love that people ask me like really basic, like first date questions.
Starting point is 01:08:51 like what's your favorite color what's your favorite movie you guys are simple simple-minded like me just get to know me through basic questions favorite movie um i've said this forever my favorite movie these are like the ones i grew up on shit i loved um the great escape steve mcqueen if you know what movie i'm talking about that is my favorite movie i think of all time it was a world war ii movie and they're digging tunnels in the prison to get out and they escaped and it's amazing and the the soundtrack from that movie is incredible so The Great Escape with Steve McQueen is my probably my number one but shit I mean there's so many I grew up on um Swiss Family Robinson those tree houses such a good one that's such a classic
Starting point is 01:09:37 Wedding Singer I've probably seen that movie a thousand times love you know Adam Sandler Drew Barrymore um I loved all those Happy Gilmore um movies back in the day Ever After great movie saving so I grew up on a lot of war movie war movies my dad had his watch like Black Hawk Down Saving Private Ryan I feel like Saving Private Ryan's my favorite war movie because I think it's the most well the ones I've seen it's the most like real like you're seeing gory shit it makes you feel like you're right there with them uh let's see Pearl Harbor that's a great movie I always think the scene where they're like flying the planes towards each other and they at the last second they turn and they don't hit each other but that was such a
Starting point is 01:10:22 like I just remember that part so well um that was Ben Affleck that was like his heyday when he was in Pearl Harbor Bourne series Bourne ultimatum Bourne supremacy I love the Bourne series of uh Matt Damon um great action movie I think that's like one of my favorite series of like action movies. Um, I remember dances, dances with wolves, dances with wolves. Great movie. That's like a really old classic with, um, what's his name? Um, shit. Who was in dances with wolves? He's like a really, I think it was an actor from Washington. Um, dances with wolves cast. I'm on Google. I'm my own Jamie. Um, like on the JRE show searching my own shit because I don't have anyone. Um, who is the main character here? I am DB. Okay. Sorry. Are
Starting point is 01:11:25 you guys bored? I'm sorry. I'm just answering questions. Kevin Costner. Of course. I knew that was, yeah. He dances with wolves. Um, I remember my dad and I watched that movie cause I think it's like four hours long. It's like gone with a wind level length. It's so long. and I remember one of my favorite things to do as a little girl like my dad I was like a daddy's girl okay like that's I was always like that as a kid um his right hand uh person when he was doing projects around the house I was always the one handing him tools he was always teaching me about construction and stuff and um I was always helping him doing the handy stuff I loved it and um we would always be like I remember just so the movie thing is he was a big movie guy I mean he was in
Starting point is 01:12:09 the industry, like editor, producer, writer. He's always worked in TV, that kind of stuff. So he always exposed me to amazing films as a kid. And I remember Dances with Wolves is a classic, but I do remember when we watched it together, we were just like laying in his room watching on the little shitty TV that was like so small. It was like a little box TV because, you know, flat screens didn't exist I'm so old but yeah I remember watching it for hours and like I think you know we it took us a couple days to really get through it all but it was one of my favorite movies I think that's about it how many other favorite movies can I list here oh um Tower Tower Towering Inferno Towering Inferno Steve McQueen and uh Paul Newman holy shit if you know what
Starting point is 01:13:00 that movie is DM me if you know okay if you know about The Great Escape and Towering Inferno with d mcqueen towering inferno it's kind of weird i thought about that movie because of 9-11 yesterday because it's like literally there's a fire in this hotel and they have to get everyone out it's really dramatic but it's like a classic like it's such a vibe when you watch old like 90s 80s movies they're like it's crazy how simple things were and like different and so I don't know I'm just really thinking about movies right now um okay Q&A Saturday stay on task so those are my favorite movies um what's your favorite sex position guys someone asked me what my favorite sex position is okay that's that's like I said earlier I don't know if I'm
Starting point is 01:13:51 comfortable talking about my sex life because I have family listening to me I mean I've got like everyone tuning in and I know that's how we're all here I know they're all like you know we're all doing it you know it's part of life but I need to like get some I just I'm not there yet so you'll never know um to be continued or to be found out um I'm not going to disclose my favorite sex position on this episode but maybe in a future episode when I really stop giving a shit. I don't know. I'm just like, yeah, whatever. Um, biggest turnoffs in a guy. It's the next question. Oh my gosh. Um, biggest turnoffs in a guy. Oh, as of recent experiences, uh, talking about your ex right off the bat, such a turnoff. Like I don't need to hear
Starting point is 01:14:53 about your ex like let's not bond over our what didn't work in the most recent relationship and talk about how much we hate the other person or whatever or what they didn't like about the other person in hopes that I'm not like that to like get it off the table they're using their ex as like a reference point like okay so I fucking hated how she did this this and this and so then I'm sitting there mentally calculating if I'm also like that and then if they're gonna approve of me because of if I sound like their ex they're gonna I don't know I don't like talking about exes like yeah okay of course like further on in the relationship get it all out there talk about everything talk about your past experiences whatever get it out but not at first that's a
Starting point is 01:15:33 turn off keep it to yourself um but also I will say this is a turn off don't hit me up if you're recently broken up with someone you've recently broken up with someone I don't want to know you I don't want to talk to you because here's the thing the amount of times I don't know why this is the way I've um my dating has turned out okay I'm always the girl so the guy will break up with his girlfriend that's like pretty long term I'd say and then they date me next and then they break up with me and then they go back to their ex I cannot tell you how many fucking times that's happened to me and it's weird there's a weird pattern and I'm like what does that say about me Is that a negative quality of like, do I make them realize that they're, I don't know, like
Starting point is 01:16:22 they miss their ex and they miss what they had. I don't know. It's really strange. I think it's like, I'm the fun new shiny thing. And then it's like, oh fuck, she's way too much. And then I need to go back to what's comfy because, oh my gosh, there's literally an ice cream truck rolling by outside. It's like the music too. It comes, it comes, it literally drives through. It's not like I didn't realize it was there because every day it comes through. I think it heads out to the beach. There's always an ice cream truck at the beach here in San Diego. It's fun. It's always like summer. Um, turnoffs. What else could I say? Um, Oh, talking a big game, trying to impress me with expensive shit and like telling me you're going to take me like, I don't know. I don't,
Starting point is 01:17:10 I'm not influenced or phased by shiny fancy shit like I'm really not I'm I'm not turned on by like you're worldly and you're rich and you have like a really really nice car and you want to take me on vacation and you like like buy me nice stuff like I don't care about any of that it actually that's a turn off to me if you come at me with that if you're trying to impress me with stuff and like your money I'm just I don't like that I don't want to know like I like quiet confidence I like I like um people that are kind and just like yeah I could obviously go on about what I like, but this is a turnoff question. What else turns me off? Honestly, if you don't have a really good relationship with your mom, if you talk shit about your family and have bad
Starting point is 01:18:15 family relationships, that's a really, really big turnoff to me because I realized that if I'm going to get into a relationship with you, I'm going to be tied up in your family and I don't want there to be beef and I don't want you to have issues with your mom it's not really yeah that's not a big turn on to me because I don't know but I empathize I do empathize with people that because I have a broken family my parents got divorced when I was 20 but um it's all good now it's all love I mean we have really taken stride since and we're really close now weirdly like after it all unfolded but um I do empathize with people that lost family members or have divorced parents and when things are messy and they're they have a strange relationships because they're
Starting point is 01:19:01 trying to you know better their life and so they got away or um you know I can't I think ideally it's nice if you have a good relationship with your family but if you don't I'm just saying like If you're, if you talk shit about your mom, sorry, I'm out. Um, okay. Let's answer more Q and A's here. This might be a really long one. Do you have a hidden talent? Um, do I have a hidden talent? This is like reminding me of the quote or like the thing people say that, okay, it's like right now this is interactive so right now do it with me write a list of things mentally that you're really bad at okay did you do it did you write your list so you write a list of shit you're bad at you're not talented at you suck at now so do that think of all that stuff now write
Starting point is 01:19:59 a list of the things you're great at it's probably impossible like it's so much easier to come up with shit you're not good at than stuff you're great at isn't that weird did you feel something there did you just go what the fuck yeah that's an issue we have a problem this society is fucking us all up because it constantly reminds us of stuff we lack and that we're not good at that we could do better at and to me I'm like what is my hidden talent honestly like I'm really flexible I have a really bendy back and I've always had it like ever since I was a kid I like taught myself how to do a back walkover in my kitchen and my back can like literally snap in half like bend in half and it's just very flexible so I'm like I guess that's a talent I can do like bendy shit um
Starting point is 01:20:46 get your head out of the gutter I didn't say that to be um alluding to anything but uh yeah like I when I do yoga I'm always the one doing whenever they say like go into a wheel not an issue like I can stand in a wheel which is when you like do a back arch I can stay there for like an hour comfortably I feel like that's my hidden talent I'm like what else can I do I have no like bodily talents that are like I'm not am I double jointed oh I just did it I have like an index finger that's double jointed but not really it's not really exciting to look at um I mean I'm a great like I feel like my talent is usually like the housewife shit I'm usually like you know I'm talented at baking and cooking like I've been told I guess that's people's preference what
Starting point is 01:21:41 they're telling me I feel like you can't unless people tell that about tell you they like your food and stuff and like rave about it then is it really a talent or you just fool yourself um I feel like another hidden talent I have here's a little throwback um I was really good at bullshitting book reports as a kid like bullshitting book reports in front of a class not reading a book but doing a full-on fucking book report and talking to the class about it so red flag just went up it should have gone up for you to know that um I'm a faker I'm a fraud I'm an actress I can put on a show I can pull it together you know in heated moments like when the teacher fucking calls on you to do a book report in front of the class I could pull it off every
Starting point is 01:22:27 fucking time I remember a specific scenario the book was orange it was a book with bunny rabbits in it so I always like loved bunny bunny content when I might when I looked at picture books but I remember in third grade I woke up the morning of the book report and I took a box I took a box and I lined it with white paper and I drew a setting of like what the storybook had inside of it of like the bunny and then I drew like the backdrop like little curtains like it was a little house made out of a cardboard box and then I took like random shit I found to make like the bed and a rug and other shit to be like the room and I got in front of the class that morning my teacher I think it was Mrs. Verrill I think it was Mrs. Verrill shout out Mrs. Verrill
Starting point is 01:23:20 I think she was the reading teacher at that point she was a librarian she was a librarian but I think at this part of class we would like go to the library and do book reports but I remember I feel like it was my or Mrs. Verde anyway she I feel like I passed it flying colors And I remember standing in front of the class, telling a story about this book that wasn't even a story. I didn't even take the time to skim through it. I probably did. I probably took a quick glance at a few of the words, but I didn't read that shit. I sucked at reading as a kid. I was like, I went in phases. Like I loved reading the magic tree house and a series of unfortunate events. I never was a Harry Potter kid. I was too intimidated, too intimidated by
Starting point is 01:24:00 the thickness of those books. I was so confused when I saw the kids in class with those big, Harry Potter books I was like how are you doing that how how are you how do you open the first page and think yeah I'm gonna get through this I'm gonna read this front to back because what would happen to me I remember I read the first Harry Potter book I read like the first two pages and got so overwhelmed I shut the thing and I never read it again and I watched the movies and that was fine. Um, so I, I did, I will say proud of myself. I got through the Magic Treehouse series, books, no issues, Pony Pals. Any girls out there, did you read Pony Pals? That was easy for me to, um, to read cause they were like 90 pages. Um, oh my gosh,
Starting point is 01:24:51 was it the Hardy Boys? No. What was that book series? It was like a mystery, the two boys, mystery books um oh my god did I read Agatha Christie was that a series of like mysteries I used to read I just went on this tangent because one of my hidden talent talents as a kid was bullshitting book reports and I just brought up a scenario that made me think of other things but yeah I'm flexible as fuck in my back and I am good at bullshitting book reports fun facts about Jacqueline we're learning things you guys are really getting to know me who's catching feelings who's catching feelings episode nine who wants to be my friend who wants to be my boyfriend okay Q&A Saturday next question uh do you like California more than Washington
Starting point is 01:25:44 this is like a it's one of those questions it's like there's pros and cons to both and I'm here because I love Southern California and like the vibes here the sunny the sunny beachy lifestyle was always appealing to me and um I love the San Diego like the city everything about it down here I love the thing I love about San Diego and California especially the fact I chose I'm proud of myself I chose San Diego San Diego over LA because every time I go to LA I feel like it's so cold and not inviting there's something about driving into LA that's it doesn't do it for me and if I had a bunch of friends that lived there and if I had something going on and like a reason to be there and be in the industry like be in entertainment in some way
Starting point is 01:26:35 then yeah I'll uh I'll move there I'm not x-ing it out either I'm not saying that I'll never move to LA um I do see like I could see it happening um someday but right now I'm I'm really like in California. I'm from Washington state. I'm from Northern Washington, Northwest Washington, Mount Vernon, Skagit Valley. I grew up out in the farm flats, always lived next to a dairy farm growing up, always lived around fields and open space. And the town I lived in wasn't one of those. If you think of like a really small town out in the middle of nowhere, I didn't grow up in that kind of town. The town is like right off the five, like you get, you know, there's Seattle, right you shoot up about an hour north and I that's where I grew up and the town itself was
Starting point is 01:27:19 hopping like it was a suburban place with you know big high schools and um like there was like a it wasn't like a city but it was like urban what's the term like commercials like we had Costco and we have I don't know I'm trying to think of like a way to describe it so yeah I grew up out there or up there. It's beautiful. It's always home. It smells different. It's fresher. It's better in a lot of ways. But I think part of my dream to come out here was because I just felt this. I was compelled to create a life independent of where I was from and like start something new and find myself in a new city and I thought after college um where could I go like where where am I called to and yeah San Diego was San Diego San Diego was it and um the thing I like about San Diego is that
Starting point is 01:28:18 San Diego um is that it's got like the city and that's where I'm living right now but there's this part that's cool about it where there's North County so there's a bunch of little beachy towns like Oceanside, Carlsbad, La Costa, Encinitas, Lucadia. I'm trying to go down the coast here. Lucadia, then Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar. That's where I used to live. So I've spent most of my time here up in North County. Then you go like Torrey Pines, La Jolla, yeah pb ocean beach and then yeah the city so the thing the thing that's cool here is that you can always shoot out to the little beach towns from the city and have that beach time but there's also like the city and all the fun stuff here so I love it here it's always sunny it's always great
Starting point is 01:29:11 um I mean honestly the people are that I've met so far are all cool a lot of us are transplants a lot of us are from other places which sucks in a lot of ways sometimes I will say as far as dating goes like a lot of people are in transition here so they're not like planning to stay or I don't know it's kind of hard to like find people that are grounded because they're out here to do something and then they're gonna move on to the next place but yeah so one's not better than the other they both have their pros and cons um but I definitely made the decision like after college that I was so used to Seattle and I couldn't see myself living in Seattle I always saw myself living in LA or San Diego like I even wrote it my my mom was always confused she's always
Starting point is 01:29:58 like I don't understand like why did you go to California but she brought me when she visited for my birthday she brought me a journal I used to write in as a little girl and I literally wrote that I wanted to move to California like in it and I was I was young so that's cool that's cool to see okay I feel like um this how many more questions could I bust through I mean I could go on forever here you guys are really I mean I feel like I answered a good chunk and I talked a lot um I am looking at my note here if I have anything else to say oh yeah okay so we're gonna end on something that is sort of deeper and more like I don't know it's more like of a it's it's not like a light-hearted thing it's more like a deep well whatever it's not a it's not like a Q&A
Starting point is 01:30:53 or a BuzzFeed quiz it's just a thought I had yesterday uh oh my gosh I didn't even talk about my last 24 hours I didn't give you a little life update well I slept in this morning slept great finally slept great recovery on my whoop straps at 56% and I would agree with it um better than yesterday's 40% so we're slowly improving our sleep um I did smoke last night for like the first time in forever oh my god mom don't listen um cover your ears but I did right before bed because honestly I've been really getting sore from my lifting because I went to the gym again last night I lifted like crazy I was so like I was really just getting shit done I really have decided, I've decided when I go to the gym now, I really put my head down and I
Starting point is 01:31:36 just get shit done more than I've ever done before. Cause I'm trying to, I'm just really trying to get back into it and get in the groove. And so, yeah, I went hard last night. So before bed I was like, Oh, I did a little self promo, um, on my Instagram. I, I, uh, posted like a picture related to my podcast. Cause like I said, you're, you're not gonna, I'm not shutting up about it this is like this is it okay so all the content I'm putting out is related to my podcast I will not shut up about it it's awkward like doing promotion on yourself is like it kind of feels weird like telling people like hey I have a podcast um I don't know but like people tell you to swipe up and buy shit so how's it any different I'm just telling you to subscribe
Starting point is 01:32:25 and to click the five stars and submit it or i think on spotify if you listen on spotify you can follow you can like follow my show and then whatever but i have to pee fuck okay my lulus are constricting my tummy and it makes me like i have to pee more it's not good tmi um but we're besties so you can hear all the little details about me and it doesn't matter so um but anyways last night I said this because I smoked I never I haven't smoked in so long uh but anyways I slept great I feel like I slept in because I had such a deep sleep from that it helps me sleep so much and I and I don't in the past I feel like I relied on it to help me sleep but when I'm really sore it's nice to just smoke it kind of helps like with all the crazy pain in
Starting point is 01:33:19 my ass because I lifted my glutes so hardcore yesterday I I'm strong I'm strong I'm strong uh so yeah I posted a picture on Instagram and this is the last 24 hours I watched the Tim Kennedy Rogan podcast a little bit of that while I painted my nails red painted my nails red um what else did I do oh um yeah I was sitting there honestly it wasn't that high it was just like nice I felt like really sleepy towards the end and then I I slept like a rock so that's what I did and then this morning I got up and got coffee we already know that had my little pumpkin cap full of my I had a cap full of my pumpkin syrup in it that we we did together earlier on like hours ago because this podcast is now fucking so long I'm down to my last sips but um
Starting point is 01:34:18 it's good I had my coffee um then I started my podcast and I'm sitting here living the dream I'm sitting here living the dream I'm talking shit talking about whatever and like I said earlier I just don't understand why everyone why why doesn't everyone have a podcast I'm confused like this is the dream job hello it's 2020 you want to cure your mental health talk to yourself and call it a career okay sit down and do it break the ice get over yourself get on the microphone start talking post that shit then make friends because people are gonna really get to know me through this and I don't know if I'm prepared for that the swarm of people that think they know me really well because they listen to me every day but um I think that's what I'm looking
Starting point is 01:35:11 for I think this is all like a cry for help this is a cry for connection this is a cry for people understanding me and getting inside my brain and being yeah like understood in this in this society because you know what what's the point of keeping my stories to myself and and uh living this like I don't know a life of not sharing myself with the world and sharing myself with others you know I think it was Kevin Hart who said it best I think you know when I really go back to I won't shut the I I know I will not shut up about watching Rogan's podcast like I won't I don't care get over it and just deal with it I I watch it I I like that show I appreciate those conversations a lot because he interviewed some really cool people including Kevin Hart which
Starting point is 01:36:00 I um really liked what he said about giving your knowledge away or helping people like giving it away like what's the point of going to your grave with everything you know and that really stuck with me I'm like share share share teach teach teach tell tell tell like talk talk talk tell people help people that's the whole point I think that's the epiphany when I watch that that was probably my favorite my favorite shows that well my favorite episodes this year are of course the Elon one because that was nice to see around too with with him on the show I'd say yeah so Kevin Hart was the favorite then Elon and then recently David Blaine when he fucking stuck the needle through David Blaine's arm like what the fuck and then he burped up the frog crazy episode so but
Starting point is 01:36:53 Kevin Hart when he said that it made me realize like yeah that's kind of the point of this like like what's the point of living a life that's not of service and it's not about giving back and sharing the wealth you know what I mean so I love that what I love what Kevin Hart said there and uh anyways let's uh oh yeah this is the thing I wanted to talk about um okay so deep thought I had last night I think I was high I think I was I think this is why it came out so there are some positive things mom about smoking because this is when the brain opens up a little bit and I start I really have my best sometimes I have my best thoughts so okay so you know how recently I'd say over the last like handful of years like five years but especially recently in the last
Starting point is 01:37:43 year like the celebrity spotlight has shrunk like there's nothing really special about being famous and being a celebrity and like a lot of people are getting canceled and then the on the flip side of that like everyone is famous now because of YouTube like any old person any old regular person can be they're like just as famous as celebrities like I'm thinking of beauty gurus like James Charles and Jeffree Star and um what other like those are just beauty guru people but um yeah just think of like your favorite youtubers they're kind of recognized in society as a celebrity so the traditional celebrity spotlight has kind of shrunk and it hasn't it doesn't have its it's not special anymore like to be an actor an actress is
Starting point is 01:38:36 not it doesn't have the same like cool feeling that you know it used to I think it's kind of died a little bit and also I think a lot of people are exhausted about celebrities just sharing their political opinions and like preaching to us all the time because they're out of work and I think I don't know who said that but it makes sense like they can they can try to they can stay relevant now and talk about politics because they don't have a job because of COVID and they're like doing that whole thing in a election year and um so it's just like they're it's kind of like celebrities are annoying like I'm thinking traditional like actors and actresses but so my what I'm my epiphany I had last night let me cut to the chase so you know how that
Starting point is 01:39:20 spotlight so the celebrity spotlight has shrunk it's not the same as it used to be it's not as special anymore and I think the same thing is happening to politics and politicians if you look around it's like people don't have a lot of respect for traditional politicians like the has-beens one of the ones that have been around for years and years and years same shit different year they're in there they're like career politicians people are losing respect for that and what I'm thinking is that in the same way the celebrity spotlight has shrunk for celebrities,
Starting point is 01:40:04 I think that's happening for the traditional politician careers and the current politicians that have been around forever. I feel like that's shrinking for them too, where people are not as, I guess, accepting of that because they're like, they've never lived life. we don't they've literally been in the same bubble their whole career and what I'm thinking that could potentially happen or what seems to be happening is that I know it's been said a lot but like no one wants to be a politician like who
Starting point is 01:40:45 who like the people that get in those seats are it's a very self-serving position to be in to like win a popularity contest and run for office and do that thing. And, um, as I said earlier, I did that in middle school. So I know what it's all about to run for, run for president. Okay. Did it in middle school as vice president of my, of my Catholic school. So I'm saying that, like, I think moving forward, I'm hoping my my dream is that regular old people are called to run and to get involved in politics the people that the internet respects and the people that the internet has seen on social media throughout the years because think about it like
Starting point is 01:41:37 imagine if a really prominent influencer a really prominent podcaster or youtube person ran for president it's like look they've been showing us that like we know like if think about a fucking youtuber ran for president it's like we know what kind of fucking uh toilet paper they use they've we we've seen their bathroom we know what their house looks like we know about their family we know every detail about their life we know what they eat for breakfast like how refreshing would it be to have a president that we've all watched online for like the last 10 years and then now they're running for office so we trust them we're like oh my gosh they're a normal person just like us they show us everything there's nothing to hide they're not and I don't
Starting point is 01:42:19 know if that's good to have our like leader be that open and be the you know the leader of our country but honestly I was thinking about that like it or if it was a podcaster it's like they tell us everything everything about their life and everything about themselves on their podcast every day so there's some sort of trust there because a lot of times I think what happens is that or what has happened is people run that are out of touch with us we don't know really who they are they're a politician they've always been a politician there's like a whole bubble there and they're not there's not an an intimate relationship with the people are trying to help which is like the masses the people of America you know that are at this point it's like
Starting point is 01:43:08 obvious that the majority of people I'm just assuming things here I don't know the stats but I'm just assuming everyone now or like majority the vast majority is plugged in online somehow there's a we're a culture that checks up on other other people follow other people we follow influencers we follow youtubers we follow celebrities everything is like we live online a lot of us do and I'd say the most most of us do now and so it'd be refreshing that was my epiphany last time like it'd be refreshing if politics evolved to become this thing where regular ass people are called to do it and it's like normal you know what I mean and and like I said I don't know if that's the best um if if if like I'm trying to think of a YouTuber
Starting point is 01:44:04 that would run for president but like if they would be taken seriously by other countries and and it's a serious job I'm not saying I'm not making light of it but um yeah I just thought about that like how nice would it be if I think that's what and I do think it's happening I think politics it's dimming the light is dimming it's going through it right now with who we've got in the seat and the crazy craziness going on there um but I think it's very timely and I think it's important to recognize that like I don't know what side you're on I don't care you don't need to know what side I'm on I don't like I said I don't want to talk I don't want to make this a political podcast but I do want to comment on things because I think it's important to recognize
Starting point is 01:44:48 that there's, it's positive that Trump has shaken things up because it's, I think it's made us realize what we've been living with for the last century of presidencies and like how drastically different it is now and I think moving forward it would be nice like I said if people we can all relate to and that we've seen online for years run for president I think that'd be so comforting if we just knew like we knew they they were a vlogger I need a vlogger to run for president I'm calling all vloggers people with their shit together out there run for president someone we know and trust because all of us are online watching people all day there's got to be someone because it's it's a job no one wants to do and it's so
Starting point is 01:45:50 it's like it hasn't evolved it hasn't modernized it seems like when I see I don't know guys I'm I'm going on a tangent I need to end this I think this is like another two hour episode but that's good news because I'm just so brave for um doing a podcast in this cancel culture climate and talking and doing whatever I want so wow um it's good to know here's the thing if you stuck it out this long it's good to know that I kept you entertained for this fucking long I don't know I held your attention that's cool like thank you for coming thank you for being here I'll be here tomorrow for Sunday um to be honest I set out today to do uh I was like okay Jacqueline drink your fucking coffee get started on the Q&A right off the bat and the BuzzFeed quiz and end
Starting point is 01:46:53 it talk about a couple other other things that end it and of course I can't do that so that's what we learned today that I'm still having issues dragging things on and I have I'm attached I have so my attachment issue right now is to my microphone and to watching like as in podcasting I'm watching the um sound waves go up and down like I'm watching my heartbeat and it really stresses me out to stop this it does I get in my head about it I'm like okay did I get out everything I could have said today did I cover every base did I get everything out from my note was I like interesting enough should I say like should I oh yeah did I talk about people outside enough like was I people watching enough for them today um today I didn't talk about oh I talked
Starting point is 01:47:46 about the ice cream truck outside so that was my comment about my surroundings um I talked about I didn't tell you guys I saw man bun up close man bun neighbor came up close to my window and I saw his face and yeah he's he's good looking um I saw a side profile so that's all I was working off of but um he's happily married I think him and his wife or girlfriend they walk their little dogs every day and they do that workout on the hill um but I just had to say you know I had to I let you guys know yesterday that or whenever that my neighbors are always like far away and I never see their face up close I never like know what their fucking face looks like until they get like in my out like right in front of my window is like the only opportunity
Starting point is 01:48:28 so on that note happy Saturday I hope you are happy and fulfilled um I hope you're breathing okay I hope you're doing okay with the smoke um honestly I don't I see that it's smoky here or it's hazy but I don't smell it I think San Diego is doing okay um I think the AQI air quality thing is only it's like 160 and then Eugene I saw it was like 530 AQI which is I didn't even know that was possible that's up you know in Oregon where they're having it bad um oh it's so it's so traumatic watching these or seeing these pictures, people's houses burned down. And it's so hard for me to hear that people are missing. I'm like, where did they go? Like, I hope they, I mean, obviously if they, I just can't imagine that. I don't want to talk about negative things to end
Starting point is 01:49:27 this, but I'm really praying for these people and these firefighters right now. And it's so weird. like what month is it is it auger auger is it october september 12th i don't know for some reason my brain doesn't understand that it's like hot out and it's like fires are going off in this month but i guess september is hot still anyways all right have a great saturday i'll be here tomorrow for my sunday podcast uh i'll attempt to have my shit together and keep it concise but just know that that might not be the case. I might ramble on for two, three, four, five fucking hours by myself. And, um, that's what you're, uh, getting into. You guys are really getting to know me and, uh, yeah. Okay. So love you. Oh, I don't know if I meant that. Ooh, shit.
Starting point is 01:50:20 Anyways, have a great Saturday. I will talk to you tomorrow. Okay. Um, bye guys.
