What's up, guys? I'm out in a cabin in the snow right now for episode 93.
Let's do a podcast. Welcome back to the show.
Hey y'all, what's up? It's Jacqueline. Happy Saturday. I'm doing the show from a cabin in the middle of the snow in Winthrop, Washington for this episode. I'm excited. It has been a long day. Oh my God. So this is the episode where I'm going, um, Jacqueline, you decided to do this seven days a week. Are you sure about that, honey? Are you sure? Okay. Cause all I know right now is I want to go outside and look at the deer. Okay. We got like five deer with antlers outside.
the cabin right now and I just want to be out there it's currently 8 40 p.m my grandpa's asleep
he's downstairs in the cabin my grandma's on the couch talking my mom and my sister
we just had a big family dinner I saw my cousin she's gonna be too soon I finally got to bond
with her and hang out with her tonight we literally moved as a family so there was one
man my grandpa who sat and supervised the whole time because he can't live shit basically it was
like five women today moving two houses. We had a 20 foot U-Haul and a 10 foot U-Haul and we started
at six in the morning and we haven't stopped. And we finally, well, we just had dinner, but
it has been a crazy day. I want to do this. I want to make this short and sweet. No, I'm not
regretting doing this seven days a week. This is the episode that I'm realizing that, wow,
if I'm exhausted after a long day, I still have to persevere. What would David, what would David
Goggins do. Jacqueline's upstairs in the cabin doing a podcast. Cheers to that. Happy Saturday.
How did, how did your Saturday go today? I don't know. We had a shit show yesterday with our U-Haul
listening to yesterday's episode. My mom was on it, but it all worked out. We got it done. Um,
so yeah, 6am I woke up on the floor in my sister's house cause we moved my sister's house first.
Then we drove an hour to my aunt's house. It just so happened they moved, they're moving at the same
time. Right. So 6am I wake up on the floor because I was pissed off at my mom and my sister last
night. I didn't want to snuggle in the bed with them because everything, all the furniture was
like packed. So we only had one bed to sleep in and we got into this extreme like conversation
where I was on one side, they were on the other and I was pissed off at them. We had some margaritas
and Mexican food and I was like heated. So I'm like, fuck it. I'm sleeping on the floor.
Slept great. Surprisingly. I don't know how my sister's house, she doesn't heat it is 40 degrees.
My hips were kind of locking up a couple of times during the night, but I just kind of
moved and snuggled myself as, as, as long as I turned my position, like I flip-flopped
my hips are okay, but sleeping on the floor is hard on the hips.
You know, if you've done it before, you know what I'm talking about?
So yeah, I woke up at the floor on the floor at 6am to my mom playing.
She was trying to make the, make a piece.
Basically, long story short, I'm, uh, how do you say, what did my mom say?
she's more filtered and I'm more unfiltered and I was being unfiltered in front of her last night
and she went through the roof and went postal on me about how disrespectful it was that I was
talking about something involving sex in front of her and she was freaked out by I was not freaked
out she just was so offended because I'm unfiltered I just talk about it like you know whatever I'm a
millennial there's call her daddy I've been listening that for like the last two years
hi Julia she's going to bed she's mad at me because I waited to do this until it was really
late and then you know I've been exposed to social media everyone's flashing their tits and sticking
their ass out it's like normal to talk about sex I don't know but last night it was not normal in
the in the conversation so anyways I decided to sleep on the floor because I got pissed off woke
up at six they were playing my mom was so sweet she was playing I know my mom the air was cleared
as soon as she played christmas music that's what i woke up to and i was like fuck this i'm playing
wop so we had a little battle we had a little music battle my mom's playing christmas music
in the bed i'm down on the floor playing wop protesting and it was great and then we started
packing uh basically we just had to put we had the 10 foot u-haul at my sister's house so we had to
put like we packed the night before everything like tight and ready to go and so all we did
this morning is loaded up. It took about, I don't know, a couple hours after loading and then
cleaning, but I don't know. I feel like as much as we get into passionate discussions where we
disagree, we always like wake up the next day and it's fine. And then my mom and I drove in the U
hall together. My sister took her car on the way to my aunt's house and we had like a great open
conversation. Like we got on the same page and she brought it up though. She's the one that said that
I'm really unfiltered when I talk and it's a bit alarming to her sometimes where she's not that way.
And so now I understand like certain things are kind of triggering for her if I just let my mouth
run loose. So I got to tone it down. I got to cut back on my, uh, I don't know, just, I don't know
my, I got to filter myself a little bit. I got to drink water, the heaters on really high. Cause I
think no not because I think my mom loves to be toasty I learned that sitting in her car
what is it day nine home with my mom from San Diego I'm up in Washington
if you're new to the episode I'm home for a month um or new to the show and every time I'm with my
mom it's like the heater in the car is on full blast my house everything is like full heat but
this cabin right now is like a sauna and I need water um so doors opening behind me
I don't edit this shit I'm on my back on the bed in the cabin shutting the door backwards
okay so we drove to my aunt's house and um great conversation anyways I feel like I keep
learning new shit every day I'm with my mom we're working on understanding each other really well
which is helping our relationship as much as like we clash. Cause we do. I, I feel like I live a
very, I don't know. I don't want to say like carefree spontaneous lifestyle, but I kind of do.
And I think she's more reserved, conservative, traditional. Like she doesn't, I guess. And it's
also because social media is a new thing. And I play that I'm in that game. I like play that
social media shit I do it all the time and I don't know if she really I she supports me and
like she loves it but I feel like there's sometimes sometimes she's a little bit I don't
know like juggling like just you don't have to be a character all the time you don't always you
don't always have to like make everything dramatic and a joke and beyond you can just like calm the
fuck down and talk to your mom on a mom and daughter level everything to me is like a chance
to be I don't know like I poke fun at shit I like to have fun and I'm not a literal person I think
I offended my mom I said sometimes you take everything I say literally like you take it for
exactly what I'm saying and there's no nuance there's no like you're not in on the joke you
just see it for what it is and then you're instantly offended and then I instantly get
yelled at and I'm like mom I'm trying to have fun here can we just look I don't know so whatever
great drive to my aunt's house let me cut to the chase we packed in my aunt's house
this house was built by my uncle who uh passed away now he's he's been gone for
I want to say somewhere around five years maybe a little more a little bit more more than that
he had pulmonary fibrosis I this house means a lot to me that my aunt's moving out of because
my uncle was great to me he was just such a great I guess example of what a man is and I was around
that when I was in like my middle school going to high school age and I'd go to my aunt's my
uncle's house and they used to live by the river here in Washington and I'd stay with them at their
house in the summer I remember the first time I watched high school musical too was at their house
the first digital camera I ever got for Christmas I got it at their house he always baked the best
or made the best jambalaya potato salad and french bread it's like specifically like his
recipe so anyways he's passed he built this house that's where I'm getting to he built the house my
aunt's moving out of so it was kind of weird and I was a little bit emo today I was like
I'm I've made peace with it like okay he's been gone she's moving on in life okay whatever but
it was weird to watch the last sunset and to realize like, this is the last time I'm going
to be at this house. Cause I watch, I saw the beams go up. Like I saw the foundation,
um, when he first started building it. So it was kind of a sad day, but also cool. Like it was
such a great family day. And the fact like my mom, my sister and I were hauling out king size
mattresses, huge beds, rugs, big elliptical machines, a treadmill. We had the heaviest
shit to deal with we had two dollies that's all we had to move everything and we did it in like
we got my sister's house packed and my aunt's house packed which is huge in and uh we stopped
at 2 p.m which is insane so I'm tired it's been a marathon of a day moving sucks the life out of
you but I think we were all on this in the same boat about the fact that you can't if you're
moving if you fight it and if you're if you're like putting on a little hissy fit about having
to move shit it's gonna make it worse so you kind of have to be like I was obnoxiously not
obnoxious I was just like having fun about it I was moving fast being you know jumping around
having a good time everyone was kind of like making jokes every time we told like we realized
if we kept saying like bitch bitch bitch at the furniture as we put in the u-haul it like helped
just get it in there better anyways it was great we had so much fun my sister made a couple drinks
and then I dumb thing I did my aunt was on she had her video or her phone taking a video of us
loading um what was it I don't know like a big couch or something in the u-haul and I thought
it'd be funny my sister and I had the cups our solo cups in our mouths loading it in and I had
flicked the cup towards my face, like popped it. I had all this fucking tequila in my eyes and it
was burning and it got all over the floor and there's ice cubes everywhere. I was like, God
damn it. And so I rinsed my eyes out and just like a fucking football player. I don't know,
like going to the, the timeout and then coming back on the field. I washed my eyes out in the
sink real quick, about 10 seconds, went back, pick the couch up, went in the U-Haul, dust myself
off got back to it um it was funny my grandpa was watching college football the whole time
he was the only guy in the situation he's so it's me my sister my mom and then my grandma and grandpa
and my two aunts so that's seven of us so six girls my grandma was babysitting my cousin at
the cabin so that's how many is that five one two three that yeah there's five of us and uh anyways
It was nuts. I had so much fun just hanging out with them today. And, um, I'm trying to think
of there's, Oh, my grandpa, he's watching college football. He was a supervisor. Uh, he used to do
so much farm labor. He had a Christmas tree farm forever. He'd be on his, you know,
his back is kind of, it's done. He's like, he's maxed his back out. So we had his chair all
propped up. We had a little recliner for him. It was like the last piece of furniture in the
living room we gave him the remote control made him some coffee and he sat back and watched college
football all day and uh it was great he was so entertained by us women like uh not not to make
it a woman thing but like it was kind of comedy for him because we're all just lifting and heaving
shit around him from the back of the house to the front of the house and it was so funny um
I don't know what else to say other than like we got shit done after the okay the sketchy thing is
right now we have a U-Haul full so how do I say this we had to do some back and forth from going
to town with the U-Haul going back to the house a couple times and my aunt's house is up on a hill
uh and there's this windy road you have to go down that's like a good five to ten minute drive out
to the main road gravel like a back road and it's there's so much snow and so i was the co-pilot to
my mom who's the u-haul driver this is a 20 foot bitch the 10 foot bitch we just parked at her
house we got it from my sister's house it's it's done it's ready to go back to the west side where
we're gonna bring the the furniture and everything to my mom's house you guys are really getting the
behind the scenes of my fucking life right now i basically moved home or like no i didn't move
home I'm on vacation or I'm hanging out with my mom for a month and I'm getting sucked into all
this family shit and I love it I'm like I was the MVP we had a little competition well a silent
competition our whoop straps my mom and my sister and I are all on a group we're called the triple
triple j wolf pack that's what we call ourselves and each day you can see like who had the highest
strain or calorie burn or whatever the fuck and today I won because I was not going to be after
our fight the night before I had this fire under my ass that said Jacqueline the number one way
you're going to redeem yourself and win them over because they disagreed with my just it was a big
fucking shit show I've we screamed at each other and uh I was like the last thing I'm going to do
no I said I have to go hard today and help my aunt move because I don't want to hear down the
road in a few months years whatever yeah when we had to move your aunt your aunt out of her house
you know you were sitting in the corner twiddling your thumbs you weren't doing shit and you were
being a lazy piece of shit like I was like fuck that I'm gonna be the MVP today I went hard I got
sweaty I had to change like three times I was putting deodorant on my back like it's a if you
guys have moved before it takes the life out of you and I don't know why I'm still going I started
at 6 a.m it's almost 9 p.m I gotta upload this bitch I got my grandpa's sleeping downstairs I
gotta be quiet everyone's trying to come upstairs to sleep right now but I'm taking over because
i'm podcasting i don't know so what else can i say um oh so my mom i was a co-pilot in the u-haul
and she's shifting down she's got it the she's got like the toe setting on my aunt has driven
school buses before so she was giving us she's radioing in like telling us what to do when we
were going down hills because they were in front of us kind of like making sure we were okay
because there's a there's tons of steep hills and then at the bottom you can you know basically
get stuck and your tires will spin so my mom's like down to first gear second gear shift and
she's doing all this shit going slow there's like dog walkers going by we're like get the
fuck out of the way you're gonna die because if we I just felt like we were gonna bobsled and lose
control and just like slide really fast anyways long story short it was fine we got out um but
the snow is really heavy over here yeah so what else okay so then after it's all said and done
we finally came to the cabin. My grandma made lasagna. She had like some side, some like salad
stuff, garlic bread. Grandpa got wine. It's their 61st anniversary today. Their 61st anniversary.
And it's like the most amazing thing because we're all together. And it was so perfect how
everything worked out. The fact my sister and my aunt are moving, the fact I'm home to help.
It's great. So we celebrated, had a great dinner together. My little cousin was there and she,
is figuring out who I am because I told you guys the last time I saw her was last October
and she wasn't even crawling yet so and I was also like dark brunette she probably didn't
recognize who I was obviously it's been so long but tonight it was fun she's like playing with
me sitting on the couch ripping my earrings out I was giving her little bracelets because she likes
jewelry and then the biggest two things happened that I was like okay this is it's happening she
like knows who I am. Um, she, so I, uh, had her come up to me. The first sign is when she came
up to me and held her arms up. Like she wanted me to pick her up. So that's a great thing. I was
like, okay, she's trusting. Like she trusts me. She likes me. That's great. And then, uh, the
second one was I had my mom's, there's three things. My mom gave me her Apple watch and I was
doing her heart rate. And she's like sitting there with me for so long. We were playing with the
Apple watch. I was showing her like my mom was taking pictures of us and then I'd like show her.
It was so cute. And then the last thing was I was messing with her. I was like, where's Jacqueline?
Where's Jacqueline? And she wasn't looking at me. Uh, and everyone was kind of doing it. And then
she spun around and pointed right at me like she knew. And then she can kind of say my name. It's
like, she goes, Jaja, or she'll do Jacqueline, Jacqueline, which is so cute. Cause I think it's
good or the whole family what we've done is we've set our names we're trying to get her to say our
names we're not like we're not obviously like forcing her but we're like what she'll do is
she'll shorten it and make it make sense to her so my sister Julia she calls her Juju my aunt her
aunt so my mom Jodi she calls her Jojo Aunt Jojo and then I think I'm gonna be Jack Jack we're
working on it but she'll she kind of says Jaja that's a start but yeah we hung out with her and
I realized in that moment I was like I don't hate this I was loving it I mean it's fun because I'm
just basically hanging out with my cousin she's almost two and I don't know what it would be like
to be with her 24 7 but I wasn't opposed I was like okay if I had a kid this is fun I love this
this is I could do this forever um it it wasn't like I think when you're you know single no kids
whatever you might envision it for yourself or think you don't want it. And then until you really
hang out with a toddler and like, see how wonderful it is. Cause it really is. I think there's 10
times more pros and cons about kids. Uh, don't find me about that. It's true. I was just, I was
so happy. I was like, I can't wait for this. And then I'm watching my mom. I'm watching my mom
play with her and her name's Bella. I didn't even say her name, Bella, Isabella. And I was seeing
how my mom would have like parented me when I was that age and it was so cool and then my mom
kept saying she's like out of the three of you my sister my brother she says Bella reminds me
like how she is uh in her energy her personality she's like this is like exactly how you were
so I'm like watching well it's not to a tee but it's kind of fun to just observe her and see what
she does she's so social and like happy and she we had her dancing up on the uh kitchen like after
dinner we played music and she's dancing up there and throwing stuff and it was so fun
I'm gushing I just like can't wait for kids I really can't tonight was amazing and basically
we talked sat around the couches we had a fire going oh my aunt well we took some pictures in
the hot tub for my aunt for something she's doing my sister and I were modeling and I was like great
gotta get a bikini after this fucking lasagna thank you and I was just like I don't know I'm
not feeling myself like I'm I don't know one week at mom's house feeling like I don't know
soft if you know what I mean whatever it was fine we were underwater but we took pics hung out
uh we drank some more wine and grandpa went to bed my cousin she was starting to cry
um and now it's just me and my mom and my sister we're just like and my grandparents are staying
downstairs we're just ready to go to bed that's been our day so I don't know what else to say
I should cut this short and sweet my sister's like pounding on the door she wants to come in
and go to bed um am I proud of myself about this I don't know I feel so before excuse me before I
went to podcast I was uh getting water downstairs and I was realizing like I'm really having to
persevere right now like I get excited to do this I love it when I like right before I do it I get
excited but I realized the fact I've got like two minutes the fact that I just she turned the light
off she's literally going to bed oh can I tell that story I'll keep it I'll keep it vague the
story my sister's literally putting up surveillance cameras in the cabin right now okay but I just
want to say I was like okay Jacqueline this is cool you're 93 days in on this podcasting thing
and you still love it but you i feel good about myself the fact that i'm like pushing myself at
the end of the day i started out you know loading shit into u-haul at 6 a.m with my mom and my
sister yeah do it i don't know it's kind of cool to realize like i've i've never felt like i don't
know this like getting after it you know what i mean okay so let me tell you the story because
my sister's here setting up surveillance holy shit so basically my I don't know how to say this
I should keep it vague uh my okay how do I say my aunt owns a resort we're staying at it and
there's people next door to us who are doing things that are against the rules here okay
and so my sister is setting up surveillance to watch them because we're trying to get a photo
of what the illegal shit is and or something julia is it the dog what are we trying to get
surveillance of they almost hit grandpa's car for the boss babes here because we're like
the aunts were her nieces she's running this bitch and uh he i guess the people almost hit
my grandpa's car they're doing sketchy stuff they're gonna get probably a big fat fine she
has what's the brand let me plug it it's the blink surveillance we love the shit so one that one of
the best things about our family is like we're like little investigators about shit whether
it's stalking something on social media my aunts my mom my sister and i like we just go the fuck
in when we're trying to figure some shit out and it's so funny when my mom like all of them lit up
but my sister's like because we packed her house she's like wait I have my surveillance cameras
in the car like let me just go get them so now she's installing them I'm gonna end the podcast
now because I'm I need to like go to bed do my little uh nighttime sesh of uploading this and
hanging out by myself it's kind of a zen time of my day it's like if I podcast tonight I gotta
press upload and wait for a while and until it's done and you know i'm doing this on a hot spot i
don't think does she have wi-fi here she my sister's not even in the room anymore anyways
