Starting point is 00:00:00 What's up, guys? Happy Tuesday. It's episode 96. Welcome back to the show. Hey guys, what's up? It's Jacqueline. Happy Tuesday. I'm resuming in January, Monday through Friday on YouTube. All right, let's get into it today. I'm sitting in my mom's kitchen doing this at night. Uh, we just had a
Starting point is 00:01:08 fun little session together. My mom, my sister and I are all home right now up in Washington. And I was like, ah, fuck, I got to record. It's 8 21 PM. They're in bed. I'm awake doing this solo as I do every day. Here we are. Um, I don't know what to tell you other than today was Tuesday I work remote I had a boss babe work day it was amazing I got a lot of work done I didn't do much I have nothing to report other than I was parked in front of a laptop all day long okay do you want to know the details I'm going to tell you you know what and here's the thing I realize it's getting boring I'm talking about just like my job and like going to my mom's office working on my laptop going up for a lunch break working again taking a nap hanging out with
Starting point is 00:01:52 my mom, my sister watching the news and shit and then going to bed. Like it's the same shit, different day here. I love being home though. I love being in their company. It's been amazing. So I'm going to start off with a quick little 24 hour update, get into it and then transition into figuring out what's going on in the world because I swear I haven't checked the news. I have no, I know the vaccine was injected into the first person today in the UK. I did see that, but I want to check the news. I want to like talk about what's going on in the world and discover it firsthand on the show today so we're gonna hang out just sit with me in my kitchen guys I don't know what to say my mom and my sister just had wine and I was like I don't really want
Starting point is 00:02:31 to drink and then I'm like I kind of do and so I'm not it's a Tuesday night I'm drinking whiskey fuck I don't know if I I was questioning my mom I was like mom is this a sign of alcoholism like at night I just like want to have a little a little drink is that okay is that a first of I know there's alcoholics out there I come from a family of alcoholics on all sides like it's a thing I've never felt compelled to like grab alcohol in times of stress or if I'm sad or whatever like I don't have that because I don't even really like it but ever since I've been home I'm like wait my mom has like all this shit I could use to make nice drinks so I'm drinking a little whiskey tonight it's really good she even has those fancy ice cubes oh they're I guess
Starting point is 00:03:14 they're just like the big square ice cubes anyway so that's what's going on I'm hanging out with myself this is my self-care routine this is my audio diary you know what I mean like this is something that's it's it's like new territory for me obviously talking to myself on a microphone every day is like in a way psychotic and it's like this experiment I'm doing to try to prove it to you guys and myself that no this isn't psychotic this is literally how I'm helping my depression mental health my self-esteem my confidence my self-discipline all the shit because I'm trying to achieve my goals in life and this is a practice I do every day and it's setting me up for my future because I'm committed to this process I can't say no to it I have to do
Starting point is 00:04:00 it and it's helping me talk out my issues talk about my life work on my uh you know conversation skills even though it's one-sided I had like three episodes I think so far with my mom so you can go back and listen to those um did we do it two days ago yeah two days ago we were in a U-Haul truck and we talked on like on the road trip we put our headsets on in the in the front of a U-Haul and talked it was great but yeah I'm just working on it I really want to become a better orator a better speaker more confident behind my voice and yeah this is this what this what I'm doing. I'm doing it for a year straight, seeing what happens and going from there. So anyways, let's get into it. I, I mean, you guys want to know details. Basically I'm sleeping in my old
Starting point is 00:04:45 purple high school bedroom. I painted dark purple and it's turned into over the years since I've moved out of the house. My mom kind of has that room, uh, set aside as the storage room, like random shit ends up in there. There's like a ton of teddy bears and I have like a built-in desk in there and there's teddy bears lined all over the shelves. Like I don't really know where they're from. They're not mine. I don't think they're my, I think maybe like one of them's my brother. So there are these mysterious teddy bears all of a sudden sitting in the room. There's my brother's giant stuffed monkey. He was like a monkey kid. He loved anything monkey related. So we always bottom stuffed animal monkeys so that's sitting in there there's a like a piano um like a few
Starting point is 00:05:34 like dressers I don't know there's like bins of random stuff that's my sister's in the closet I don't I'm basically living in the storage room but there's a nice bed I'm actually using my sister's bed that she'll be she's like temporarily home it's like I'm temporarily home just for a month here just for the holidays but she's also temporarily home it worked out great like that but I'm using her like actual bed right now and it's so comfy um so there's this scene like that's where I wake up that's where I'll be going to bed after a podcast tonight it's great so um yeah the walls are dark purple I have these like velvet dark purple curtains in there in high school I like wanted a purple cave I was all into this like dark thing I don't know um so yeah I woke up at
Starting point is 00:06:18 like 6 30 let's get into it uh my mom and my sister were up in the kitchen and I wake up to them sitting drinking coffee and I'm like why do I hear my voice they had my sister had her iPhone out she's playing my podcast on Spotify she was like laughing her ass off at it I don't really I think it was the episode on Friday where my mom and I drank wine and did a show together so they were listening to it so I woke up to that it was kind of funny um because they were literally just like sitting it's weird to witness that like they're sitting across the table just like tuning into this this is my dream like I want my listeners to be parked sitting somewhere fully present drinking a coffee drinking a beverage whatever and like listening attentively
Starting point is 00:07:00 that was the most cool thing that was the most cool the coolest that was the cool shit it's not like they were doing something multitasking while they were listening they're like fully into it listening it was great I joke because I always say like you know back in the I don't know the 20s early 1900s families would gather around the radio and just sit there and listen like 100% present you know the whole thing so I don't know I just had like a fantasy that you guys would make my podcast your daily meditation you're not meditation practice your daily like self-control you're not going to multitask just sit there and fully pay attention for as long as it lasts I don't know it's like actually so what is that um how full of myself do I sound
Starting point is 00:07:46 right now I don't think my I am still self-conscious about this whole thing so I just think that'd be so funny like someone sent me a dm or a picture of you with like a radio playing my podcast or whatever the fuck I don't know why I said that anyways I walked in there I made my own coffee I'm still making it so my mom I got my mom and my aunts on my instant coffee it's called Jacob's instant coffee it has a green cap you buy it on Amazon it's a I think it's German where's it from I think it's German coffee it's European so like a lot of the European countries drink instant coffee is like a normal thing they do and I order it I've been drinking it for like three years now and they have it too so I was drinking that they're like not about it they think it tastes
Starting point is 00:08:33 weird so there's like a full container for me to use while I'm home I made that I iced it up uh you know how I do I think I've talked about my recipe a lot I just like make it into a concentrated espresso shot and then I add ice on top drink that uh or they were drinking like bullshit drip coffee like star starbucks shit so actually pike's roast at starbucks is pretty good so anyways this is like so I feel boring shit am I okay I'm gonna take my slippers off I need to like wake up how are you guys doing what's up Tuesday are you guys home for the holidays are you working are you in depression are you coming out of depression are you feeling yourself are you feeling like a loser a winner I don't know I feel like this year has taken me in waves of feels I've gone in
Starting point is 00:09:23 the I've gone in on the on the roller coaster I'm definitely on the upswing right now especially now that I'm home I'm like fully whole I'm with family I'm still doing my passion and podcasting every day I've sustained that as I've been home so that's all good and I'm like oh god I have an update on my job I feel like I'm just like soaring I finally feel like I'm getting in a groove with my job it's taken me a few months to really get it down but today was one of the most productive productive days I had working anyways let me go back to the day the itinerary the vlog this is an audio vlog, Jesus Christ, so I woke up, and then my mom and my sister were listening to the podcast, drinking coffee, I drank coffee with them, um, we just chatted, we just, like, we just gossiped
Starting point is 00:10:05 about random shit, I don't even know, we talked about our day, the day ahead, and here's where it went south, okay, I should have cut it to the, cut it to the chase, I should have cut to the chase and said this earlier, so Jacqueline was kind of not paying attention to her vitamin intake as I'm sitting there talking to them drinking coffee I downed 100 milligrams of zinc okay I downed 100 milligrams of zinc it's two capsules my mom I like took it out of her cabinet I took two zinc 2d and like a multivitamin okay with coffee on an empty stomach so anyways they're talking all of a sudden they're like okay we're gonna go work out my mom was gonna go do her rowing for charity her 10,000 meters this morning she's been doing that for like a month now before she's doing it
Starting point is 00:10:52 up until Christmas at 200,000 miles and that are meters or what is it? Miles meters. I think 200,000 meters. Anyways. And then my sister went and biked, we have a stationary bike. And, um, so she went into that. So as they were leaving, I'm like, Oh fuck. So my mouth started salivating and like dripping saliva. And I felt clammy and like nauseous. And like, I felt like I was getting flu symptoms I was gonna vomit and I was like I don't want them to see me sweat they're about to go work out and the last thing I want them to this is like how my family is I don't want like we're we just we're what's the word um super like tough we're tough especially the women like we're hard on each other if we're like being little bitches little pussies about stuff like
Starting point is 00:11:43 we're we like call each other out and so like the last thing I wanted them to see this morning was me complaining. I feel like I'm going to puke. I feel like shit while they're about to go like do their morning workout. So I just excused myself, let them go do their thing. And I laid on the couch in a little ball and I'm like, I have COVID. I'm like, I have the flu. I am dying. And I'm like, holy fucking shit. What is this? I don't know what to do. I was like, Jacqueline, breathe, ride it out. This is what happens. You're probably going to puke in like 10 minutes. It's going to come. It's like, I had that sensation. Right. And I just kind of like sat there. I literally was on the couch in a ball for an hour while they were doing their workout on TikTok
Starting point is 00:12:19 trying to like calm myself down I like to get on flight attendant TikTok I like to get on monkey TikTok when I'm like it helps soothe me like pet monkey TikTok where there's like a family that owns a monkey and then it like goes around their house and shit so I got on that and then flight attendant TikTok there's a specific flight attendant I follow she's like what's her name she's like 23 she's really cute and like super like calming to listen to so I watched her shit while I was like in the mode of vomit like vomit mode like I wasn't it never happened I'll just cut to the chase it never happened but I uh after the hour I was like still feeling terrible and I was googling um like how to not be nauseous or like what the fuck has happened and I couldn't
Starting point is 00:13:06 I couldn't put it together my sister this is what happened after an hour she's done with her workout comes in sweating I'm on the couch she's like what the fuck what Jacqueline what the fuck did you eat what happened she like knew I ingested something she's like how many vitamins do you take she knew and I'm like I took zinc and she's like how much how many milligrams how much do you take and I'm like 100 she's like Jacqueline Jacqueline god damn it she's like Jacqueline you can't take zinc on an empty stomach you aren't aren't supposed to take two capsules it's like maximum dose for your age or adults it's like 40 milligrams a day like fuck so I'm googling zinc toxicity like shit like how to get how to feel better if you drank or if you ate too much zinc
Starting point is 00:13:48 and my mom comes in and rolls her eyes she's like Jesus fucking Christ what's going on she's like come on you know she like I said we're tough on each other and I feel like I've been I'm like the easiest I'm like not the biggest complainer but if I don't feel good or if I'm like not I'm like verbal about it I don't just like pretend I'm fine my mom's really good at pretending she's fine she did that for her entire chemotherapy radiation breast cancer session or excuse me season when she was dying so I um so from like my junior no senior year through like freshman year of college she was going through breast cancer but you would never know how much she struggled she was so fine like she looked fine the whole time my mom just perseveres pushes through never
Starting point is 00:14:40 lets you see her like sick or feel bad or anything and then after the fact she's like Jacqueline every time I sat at your basketball games every time I came to your brother's football games every time I you know we were at a gathering like a family function a party I felt like I felt like shit. I chemo in my body. I had a metal taste in my mouth the whole time. I felt sick every single day, but I didn't want you guys to think, to worry. Like that's my mom. And, but anyway, so back to me dying of zinc toxicity this morning, like 8am. I'm being dramatic. It wasn't, it was bad. Like I totally felt, I was being paranoid or I was acting that, that way because of COVID. I was like wait and do I like I feel like flu sickness but um so she came and rolled her eyes
Starting point is 00:15:26 like Jesus Christ like you know put a like rub some dirt on it Jacqueline like let's go you got to work day ahead but um I was googling what to do and I downed we don't we don't have milk in our house but we have leftover heavy whipping cream from Thanksgiving and it said to like get like drink a bunch of milk so you get like the calcium to like help stop the zinc it like helps of zinc from or it stops it from absorbing if you drink a lot of milk so I went and I just chugged it was kind of good actually weirdly good like heavy whipping it was like sweet I don't know uh I chugged like a cup of heavy whipping cream and I almost instantly felt better and I just like put on like they were my mom's literally like by the time that happened she was already in a heel
Starting point is 00:16:12 heels and a dress full makeup full hair done showered like ready to go for work I don't know how she did it so fast. And I'm like, okay, I'll just like throw on some slippers and like go into the office. Like I wasn't ready. Like at all. I was just like, I didn't even shower. I like woke up and I was still in my PJs. I literally put on shoes and a coat and just left with them and hustled out. But that was kind of scary. I feel like I didn't do my research. I was kind of mindlessly putting vitamins in my mouth this morning and it fucked me over. And I don't know if that's ever happened to you but my mom and my sister were like this is why I only take zinc at night after a meal so I'm not nauseous from it because it really fucks up your gut and your
Starting point is 00:16:55 stomach like it makes you feel like you're gonna puke um so we went to the office like this is the update we worked like got shit done I was so busy with my job today like I had my headphones in I was listening to music I listened to Ariana's new album which is amazing it's so like swanky I can't put my finger on it, but it's very, like, I don't, like, this album, so The Weeknd's new album this year was, like, a whole new vibe, and it's, like, it was kind of, like, Vegas-y and swanky, and I feel like Ariana's kind of that, it kind of leans like that, and I love it, so I was listening to that, grinding, working, my mom was helping me with some stuff, she was on the phone the law my sister was working she was taking I had to take my sister's passport photo which was
Starting point is 00:17:46 funny because we in our household like when we take passport photos we take them like we're like a prisoner getting there like we don't smile we look so super like aggressive like don't fuck with me because if I'm in a foreign country alone traveling I'm a woman I'm not putting a smile on my face in my passport photo my mom's like Jacqueline like Julie like do not smile so my sister is, like, pulled, she pulled her hair back in a slick bun, she's, like, puffing her shoulders up, sticking her chin up, cocking her head off to a little bit to the right, you know, just, like, a little, like, you know, she's a fucking gangster, gangster, gangster lean, and my mom had, like, we had lamps going, trying to make the lighting good, so it was, like, just straight on her face, and it
Starting point is 00:18:31 was, like, we couldn't stop laughing, I was trying to get her to do a straight face, but we couldn't stop laughing and uh yeah we did that there um I don't know my sister had to like go run errands she left my mom and I ended up staying and working and then um what happened oh then when we went home uh on our way home we were walking to the car and we saw my cousin who he was adopted into her family uh I don't know how many years ago I want to say like five and he um unfortunately he lives he's homeless um he's a he's an addicted heroin I believe it's heroin addicted to drugs out on out on the streets and it seems like he's getting better my mom she's been helping him a lot when she can they see each other a lot he's always around town
Starting point is 00:19:27 And he, he seemed so like, I haven't seen him in a few years and he seemed like his good old self, but obviously like physically, like you could see that, you know, he's on something. And I just feel like, um, it's one of those things, like you never think it would happen, but I just, I, I just like, I feel like my mission right now, I'm like, how can I make it? I just want to like get him to detox, to rehab. I'm like, I just want to see this kid healthy again. Cause he's such a good kid. He's so like, he reminds me of like a gentle, hearted, sweet soul. Kind of like my brother who's got an addict, he's addicted to drugs and he, you know, doesn't want to like live with his, live with his parents or like do anything like that. So he's choosing, he's chosen a different path. It's, you know, he's living on the streets. Seems like he, honest to God, I'm like, you look fucking happy in your own way. Like I, you know, um, and I know he had a hard beginning of his life and I don't know, should I even,
Starting point is 00:20:29 should I even talk about these personal things? I'm not disclosing names. I'm not talking negatively about it at all. I'm just kind of telling you my cousin, um, the last time I saw him was he was living with his parents, like he was not on the streets. And so it was kind of hard to see that today but um I'm I know that he's doing the best he can we're looking out for him he has a lot of support if he wants to take it and or like you know we're always around we're always looking out so anyways that happened and uh my mom's super cool she's always been like really good to him I think like just what I've witnessed and heard her talk about um you know she's like next time you come to my office let's get a pizza like you know you know whatever you
Starting point is 00:21:12 want um I don't know I just really like love my mom for that because I don't know if he gets that from everyone in the family like I just don't know because I'm not home but anyways it was really fun to see that or see him and it was we were like social distancing and he's like oh a social like COVID hug you know anyways um he's young too by the way he's not how old is he actually I think oh my god all my cousins are like almost 21 I'm part of the siblings or excuse me the cousins we're like the oldest my brother my sister and I are the three we're like the oldest ones and then everyone else is younger but now all the younger kids are getting closer and closer to 21 and it's like kind of fucking crazy like you're not even in high school like I remember I just
Starting point is 00:21:59 think of them as like little elementary school kids with glasses and shit I don't know so anyways my mom and I drove home we made some food my mom had like she like made barbecue like slow roasted barbecue meat I think it was like pork or something I don't know it was really it smelled really good and my jackass self was like you know what I just want like tuna on a rice cake you know what I mean just like a little light tuna on a rice cake I didn't really realize that she was cooking that for lunch. So they ate that. I had my tuna. Uh, dude, we're all drinking so much diet Coke right now. I don't know what's happening. I'm drinking here. I'll take a sip right now. I got whiskey in one hand, diet Coke in the other. I don't know what's happening guys. I'm
Starting point is 00:22:45 changing this town. If I stay here, I know what's going to happen. I know it's, and that's not a negative. I just feel like this place makes me, I talk different. I act different. I like joke different. My sister brings out the fucking like Tar Heel, like fucking the twang in me that comes out of my voice. Like we're just, it's hard to describe. Like we just get our, we were more like country here. I don't know how to put it anyways. So fucking we're drinking Diet Cokes, eating our lunch this is dragging on so much I'm like going into so many tiny details so then um my sister is like still organizing all of her shit from the move over the weekend I'm doing yoga and kind of napping at the same time I do this thing where it makes sense in my brain but it probably looks
Starting point is 00:23:36 ridiculous I like nap in a yoga pose like I fucking get into a pigeon pose which is really comfortable on your hips you like put your knee out to the one side how do I describe this one leg is back and one leg's in front of you bent and you lean over it to help your hip kind of open up and stretch uh so I did that and I just kind of like rest and sleep and sleep for like 10 minutes and then I do the other side and then I get my 20 minute power nap in and I get my stretching in and it just feels really good because you wake up and it's like you're if you've ever done a deep hip stretch it makes you feel it's like a high I can't really it's like you feel so like it's like a release like whatever chemicals I don't know what releases when you do that but it just like
Starting point is 00:24:27 makes you feel good and I did that and then I woke I worked I moved my work to the living room I like use our ottoman as a desk and I sit on the floor and I worked I got so much shit I feel like I mentioned this at the beginning of the show today I've been like am I talking too fast fuck okay I uh I feel like I'm in a groove um my biggest fear with coming home for a month was I'm not going to be productive I'm not going to be getting shit done as like fast and as good as I am when I'm grinding in San Diego but that was not that has not been the case so far if anything I think being in my mom's office working there is helping because I'm out of like I'm going I'm going somewhere to work but yeah I'm really excited about what I'm up to um I have a lot of
Starting point is 00:25:17 stuff happening in the new year so I've been trying to like push myself and really grind I know it's like I'm doing some cool shit for once I feel like I'm doing some really cool shit and um it's been great so today was probably one of my most productive work days uh shit what else can I tell you fucking I took a nap again wait did I no my sister took a nap this is guys okay I'm I'm realizing that this is a segue I'm realizing something when I first throwback to like the first wave of podcasts like the first like 40 episodes the format was what did I do over the last 24 hours and then I'd have a whole list of shit to talk about random topics random things it wasn't just a vlog of like here's what I did yesterday like
Starting point is 00:26:14 every detail of my day you know what I mean and then I would like mock people that go on the internet and say at 5 30 I woke up and drank lemon water and then I drank a whole thing of like spring water with sea salt in it and hydrated my cells and then I went out in the sunshine and stared out the sun for 10 minutes to get my vitamin d on my eyes for the morning and then I drank coffee no excuse me then I drank matcha like I used to mock that shit when people went through their entire day and document because it's it's annoying it's like obvious information you don't really need to know about someone. It's like not interesting. So I feel like I'm doing that right now. And what the, I don't know. It's Tuesday. It's Tuesday. It was a work day. Okay. I'm trying
Starting point is 00:26:55 the best I can. I got a podcast seven days a week. I'm doing the best I can. This is what I got. I'm going to look at the news. We're going to talk about shit that's going on in the world in like five minutes here. So anyways, what else can I remember? I worked, my mom came home. She had a meeting she went off to the office for a meeting came back um my sister and I did we even make dinner guys we oh my god my mom my sister wanted me to call this episode the the fat what she wanted me to call it like the fat ass episode we literally didn't make dinner we busted out a bag my mom's boyfriend brought full of like bags of chips and cookies and crackers all this like random snack food and we busted that shit out and like they were watching I was uh listening to
Starting point is 00:27:43 like a Rogan episode I was like cleaning my room up and I come out to them like going through going to town on all these snacks and then they had some wine I'm like oh here we go I know it's about to go down and so I joined them I'm like god damn it this is like guys I don't want to be like oh I'm being, I'm being so unhealthy. I'm like sick of being, I'm sick of eating all this shitty food and like, it's bad. Like, I don't care. Like I used to, I, it's not that I don't care. I'm not like, I just, it's not a big deal to me, but it's comedy. Like the fact, like we, the three of us consumed so much shit. Like we just, we, my sister, I'll probably post a picture on Instagram of the the candy she brought out like it's literally like us watching the evening news
Starting point is 00:28:33 seeing that breaking the big giant headline of the year the first person gets vaccinated in the UK her name was I think Margaret and the second guy I think he was like an 80 year old man he was his name is literally William Shakespeare so we're watching the news this is happening we're eating chips cookies they're like peppermint Christmas cookies um I think I cut up some cheese for them they were drinking wine so I got it I got some like sharp cheddar out like aged cheddar we're eating that sitting around laughing my sister's like hey do you guys like want some Kit Kats and some truffles and some like I got these these trolley candies and we're like fuck it we're already here let's you know this is dinner she like comes out like
Starting point is 00:29:19 a parade and throws us this candy and we ate that it was just like fun because we're just letting our hair down just like my mom's like I never do this and we're like um we this is our like welcome to our life just eating chips and candy and fucking watching tv and drinking wine like I'm in I'm in my 20s I'm a like I'm a single woman and I like sit in my apartment do this shit all the time like this isn't like mom it's okay don't feel bad she's I think kind of too like sometimes I love my mom but she can be really hard on herself about stuff like not hard on herself but she'll say comments like oh I really shouldn't or yeah you know I'm like just enjoy yourself like fuck it it's December we're all it's COVID like who gives a fuck um that's kind
Starting point is 00:30:06 of a dumb excuse because I am like I am a I am a advocate of health and vitality and feeling good and so I basically make decisions around I don't know this is not the diet episode don't worry like this is not the food and body diet and that kind of episode but I definitely like as you grow up you start making decisions more about like or I'm talking about myself I don't know if this is the same for you I feel like girls go through like body shit it's just a thing like every you can't tell me I don't I feel like every woman has some sort of fucked up relationship with their body and food and it's just like it comes with being a woman I just I don't think it's I I'd love to hear someone say I never have had any struggles I don't worry about it I don't think about it
Starting point is 00:30:58 I don't know what you're talking about like that to me is like a unicorn person so I'm just saying um the older I've gotten the more I've been making decisions on how I feel and I'm using like feeling as feedback instead of oh someone on Instagram says to do this plan and this routine and this diet and do this after that like I'm not going off of something someone said on Instagram and I'm not being influenced by shit. I'm just like, Jacqueline, how does this make you feel? Okay, are you going to do that again tomorrow? No, because it doesn't make you feel good.
Starting point is 00:31:32 All right, like don't make it a big thing. Like it's not that deep and I think I don't want to rant because I could totally rant about, like I said, this isn't the diet and food and exercise and fitness nutrition podcast, but I feel like I could totally go on a rant about it because it's not that deep And I, and I feel like people have problems with shit because there's so much information out there that's contradicting, that's confusing, that makes you feel like you lack something when at the end of the day, I'm all about tuning into who, like what you want and like how you feel. I'm going to burp. This is, guys, God damn it. I'm trying to be serious right now. It's Diet Coke. God damn it. I'm saying like, tune into your own intuition and what you feel and stop like listening to so many
Starting point is 00:32:21 other people talk about what they do. Cause it's their life. You know, like we all know what the fuck to do to be a healthy, happy person. Okay. I'm annoyed by this conversation. Um, so we did that and then shit. What happened after that? They got, they just like went to bed. My sister, like two seconds after she's down to Kit Kat, she's like, yeah, Jacqueline, I'm going to go to bed. I'm going to brush my teeth and go to bed. I'm like, I cannot, if I eat and like sleep within 10 minutes, I like can't sleep. I don't know how she does it. Uh, so they went off to bed. I'm like, ah, fuck. I got a podcast. Now here I am. Cheers to that. Let's, uh, let's get into the news. Honestly, I don't want to make this the whole, like this is when I did today podcast. So
Starting point is 00:33:01 we need to, we need to go to my news here. So I did see, yep, the vaccine came out, uh, V-Day is, that's what they call it, called it today over in the UK. Um, that's cool. I saw Logan Paul is fighting, is it Floyd? Let me just verify that. Logan Paul. Um, I believe it's Floyd Mayweather Mayweather yeah Floyd Mayweather versus Logan Paul February 20th 2021 if Logan Paul this is what I have to say if he beats him he'll be like considered you'd have to say that he's the greatest boxer of our generation like I don't or like of all time is Floyd undefeated like what's his thing because I don't really know boxing that well I like know but I don't know why don't I just google it Floyd Mayweather's boxing Floyd and I feel like he's a lot shorter I guess he's
Starting point is 00:34:04 like what five eight and Logan's six two two how much does he weigh like 205 Floyd or he's probably more than that Floyd Mayweather record here we are Logan's what over two I think he like lost a ksi what twice okay so floyd my other you guys already know this you're probably like jacqueline it's he's undefeated or whatever the fuck 50 wins including 27 ko's and no losses holy shit he's the best defensive fighter according to a lot of the professionals okay wow I've, I've watched his fights. I don't know. I'm not like super into boxing or I don't like follow it closely, but obviously I know about Floyd and I'm just like stoked about this. Cause this is the thing I like about Logan Paul. He's just like, fuck it. I'll do it. Like,
Starting point is 00:35:08 he's so like down to try something crazy and do something really hard. Cause he's got the strongest. He's kind of like a David Goggins in a way with what he does. He just like vision envisions it or he gets it on his brain and he commits and he like his word is execute he'll activate himself what does he always say on impulsive activate and execute Jesus Christ I could go on about the like the impulsive show should have an entire like dictionary about like they have an entire like I don't know like fucking mic with diversify diversify I feel like I don't know I'm excited for that okay there's news I don't know I'm embarrassed by saying that Jacqueline is embarrassed um uh news we're hanging out in my mom's house in the
Starting point is 00:36:04 kitchen okay my I don't know if you guys have Verizon I don't know what's happening but my internet has never been this slow. I don't know if it's like we're using all of our data. I'm pretty sure everything's unlimited, but I feel like we're maxing it out right now because every time I click something to go on the internet, it's like a 20 second delay. Um, honestly, I don't even want to look at the news. I don't give a fuck. Wait, let me go to, like, uh, page six, let's just look at, like, pop culture news, okay, so, page six, that's where I find out, like, what's going on in Hollywood and shit, all right, here, here we go, um, Ivanka and Jared buy $30 million lot on a high-security Miami island,
Starting point is 00:36:57 cool okay do you want me to talk about that I really have nothing to say congratulations they bought a mansion in Miami okay um Mario Lopez is a finger licking good Colonel Sanders and recipe movie what there's a picture of Mario Lopez looking like an old man what the fuck is that I don't know like this is like if I was high right now which you guys know I'm just drinking whiskey it's not don't don't don't be don't come for me I feel like if my mom she's like if I while I'm home if she found out I was high she would get like fucking like mad like where's your weed at I gotta confiscate your fucking stash like you can't be here get the fuck out of my house go back to San Diego because she listens to the show so she'll find out tomorrow
Starting point is 00:37:48 oh yeah when I was asleep Jacqueline was out in the kitchen drinking a little whiskey doing her podcast and god forbid i tell you guys i'm high because she'll fucking come for me um it's like a love hate with her with that um what the hell is this it's just like weird looking sprinkled in with 11 secret herbs and spices saved by the bell star mario lopez is serving up a big bucket of finger looking good loving as none other than kentucky fried Chicken's signature spokesman, Colonel Harlan Sanders. So he's in a movie where he's Colonel Sanders. Like this is a, this doesn't track. Like, like what am I watching? I'm looking at the trailer in silence right now. He looks, is this a comedy? This has to be, this has to be
Starting point is 00:38:45 like a Pineapple Express type comedy movie presented by Kentucky Fried Chicken it Colonel okay I don't want to bring race into this Mario Lopez is not white or he might be half is he he's not there's no way but he looks like a Mexican Colonel Sanders is Mario Lopez Mexican I think he has to be Mario Lopez god damn it I should not bring up race in 2020. God damn it. Don't cancel me. Guys. Mario Lopez. God damn it. He's gotta be Mario Lopez. God damn it. Cancel. Jacqueline's bringing race into this. Mario Lopez Jr. is an American actor and television host, television host, TV host. Okay. Um, ethnicity, race, and nationality. Mario Lopez there's a celebrity details website here he's part of Latin America
Starting point is 00:39:50 okay um he he has Latin descent obviously okay I knew that I'm just saying that fucking movie trailer with him dressed up as Colonel Sanders looks like it doesn't track it Colonel Sanders is the whitest old man the Kentucky Fried Chicken man does not look like Mario Lopez I think it's a comedy I think they're trying to make it like a funny thing um so here's a quote here in online lovers of Lopez okay this is like what people are tuning in to say Lifetime is releasing a horny KFC movie starring Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders I will never recover an enthused tweeter exclaimed on Twitter. I don't like KFC Lifetime movies or Mario Lopez, but together, this is magic. Thank you,
Starting point is 00:40:46 2020. I guess it is. Okay. So it's like a funny movie. I guessed it. Okay. Going back. What's next? This is me checking the news. I'm like, I don't really give a fuck what's going on in the world. I don't need to go on the news app. I don't need to go on like CNN, you know, BBC, whatever. I'm like, what's going on in Hollywood? I don't feel like knowing about the world tonight. I just don't, I don't have it in me, it's gonna be something about coronavirus, something about a vaccine, something about something terrible, Kelly Ripa unveils her family's holiday card pass, Olivia Jade, I'm ashamed and embarrassed by college admission scandal, yeah, I watched that tonight with my mom and my sister, her mom did some, like, back behind the
Starting point is 00:41:34 scenes what did she do she like paid to get her daughter into college I don't know some bullshit like that anyways who cares all these are kind of cute who cares okay Mike the situation announces the sex of his baby that's a guy from uh Jersey Shore I don't care Natalie Portman I love her Natalie Portman says getting Lolita treatment at 12 Messed up her sexuality? Okay, I don't even know what that is. Let's look this up. What is a Lolita treatment?
Starting point is 00:42:10 Messed up her sexuality? Natalie Portman resents being painted as a Lolita figure. What does that mean? Oh, she's born in Jerusalem? Jerusalem the Jerusalem born Garden State star turned 12 on the set of her first big film Leon the Professional in 1994 that's when I was born okay um Portman went to went on to explain how the industry took a toll on her intimate development okay this is weird I don't know if I like this but let's find out what Lolita is I don't understand
Starting point is 00:42:53 what that means um oh god damn i hate shit like this in 1997 portman was offered the role of lolita in adrian lynn's film adaption of vladimir nobakov nope nobakov about a middle-aged man who becomes sexually involved with a 12 year old she turned it down because of the overtly explicit content and because she didn't want to be seen as a jailbait tease in real life turning down roles and refusing to do kissing or love scenes became part of portman's self-defense techniques good for her i'd fucking do that too she lamented at the young age you do at the age you do have your own sexuality okay this is an important quote she lamented at that age you do have your own sexuality and you do have your own desire and you do want to explore things but you
Starting point is 00:43:52 don't feel safe necessarily she added you'll you build these fortresses okay anyways um yeah I guess it's just like you know a story about how she you know whatever some Hollywood pedophilia fucking vibes there that one I don't know about that let me just rant or not rant just think about that like I hear about stuff but it's kind of like you never know unless you're in it and I think that's what the whole Hollywood pedophilia child star thing is to me it's like I know it's all there's got to be truths in it somewhere I'm not denying that I'm just saying like if I don't I'm very visual if I don't like see stuff like photos so not like I want to see photos or like videos and shit I guess the movies themselves can kind of be creepy like like that
Starting point is 00:44:54 and thinking about child actresses and actors doing stuff in movies it's like that's not appropriate like I think Whitney Cummings brought up one time she's like Shirley Temple like that was the most like fucked up shit like the fact she would perform for like older men and she was like befriending older men in all the movies and shit it was like weird um but anyways it's so strange to me and that's kind of also how god damn it like the child trafficking child sex trafficking stuff is it's like there I know it's there but it's not like you see you don't it's not all over the news like COVID you see it every day it's graphic you know like it's behind the scenes it's underground it's somewhere and I and I can imagine what it is and how horror like horrific
Starting point is 00:45:44 and terrible it is but I'm not it it's like not on the forefront of my visual visual mind or whatever the fuck I can't picture um I can't reference exactly what it looks like and what it is and that's kind of like what with Hollywood I kind of feel like it's the same thing for me like it's all there behind the scenes and people talk about it but anyways and it's not like I don't believe in it or want to you know stand up for people that have been abused or anything like it's not about that it's just like it's so much easier probably to keep it hidden and everything if there's nothing really out there. Why, what am I fucking saying? It makes sense in my brain. Jacqueline, God damn it. Um, like, I don't know what to say. Cause I don't see it. I don't really
Starting point is 00:46:37 have deep, I don't know. I don't like, okay, you guys get it. Um, okay. Next Halsey's sexiest photos of the year in a page six. What's this called? Um, Instagram reel okay great next Halsey's cute I really like her um okay I think that's it for the news from Hollywood today um I don't know what today's show is honestly you got to give it to me 96 days in a row of doing this shit wheels are falling off sometimes I feel like it it hasn't been I'm hard on myself I know I am but being home has kind of shifted my content like what I talk about because my goal when I'm home is to be obviously with family as much as possible hanging out with
Starting point is 00:47:36 them being in the moment uh having great conversations laughing doing all those fun things and like this is kind of on it's my priority I love like my show is my baby but it's like not um I'm not like sitting around all day thinking of content and shit to talk about like I could do that but I'm really just trying to enjoy my family and I end up doing this at night when I'm a little bit tired and kind of loopy and I don't know we're just hanging out it's okay like it doesn't have to be some like groundbreaking, crazy itinerary for the show. Um, I could do a BuzzFeed quiz. Remember when I used to do that shit? That's like my cop out, uh, episode thing where I play a, or excuse me, I do a BuzzFeed quiz. It like gives me a, it may, it's entertaining.
Starting point is 00:48:31 You know what I mean? Okay. So how should I end this? Talked about my day, talked about Hollywood news. First vaccine came out. That's big news. Logan Paul find Floyd Mayweather. That's the other big piece of news. I did see something about the stimulus shit going on with a new bill or whatever. It's like the stimulus check will be $600 instead of 12. And there's going to be a unemployment if you're on that like some sort of extension and then the pay will be retroactive to December 1st I don't fucking know so I just heard some shit in the news about unemployment or excuse me the stimulus package everyone's like counting on I guess they're trying to maybe get it done before Christmas not gonna happen I've been following it all year because um it's it's
Starting point is 00:49:25 strictly because of the guy on YouTube called, uh, meet Kevin. I follow all of his videos cause he's so like concise and to the point. And I feel like it's been a real, uh, it's been a year where I'm getting fully educated on how, like when there's a pandemic and a crisis or like a huge crash, the, and the economy tanks, like what happens? Like what does the government do so he's really good at explaining details in an easy way to understand so I don't know I've been like on it all year and so yeah I guess that's the latest with that guys I didn't fucking go to bed holy shit four days I'm on in four days I'm on episode 100 is my mom gonna be home I think she's going to Georgia it's the 8th 9th 10th damn it so I'll be
Starting point is 00:50:17 on 100 on December 12th she'll be gone her and her boyfriend are going to Charleston and Savannah for a little getaway holiday like pre-Christmas getaway and that'll be cool but my sister and I are gonna be alone in the house and uh we were thinking about it I have this idea with her because she's honestly funnier than like she's so fucking funny um and her commentary like her if we're out in public like she has the best comments about she'll like say shit about people like people watching and it's so fucking funny or other cars when we're driving but I had an idea that we get in the car like my mom and I did in the u-haul and put on a headset and just drive around and talk shit and just like say we're gonna like just mention like the other day she's
Starting point is 00:51:10 bitching about cars in Washington, like, all these, like, fucking, I don't know what they're called, like, what's the car, not Subarus, but, what's it called, it's, like, a Toyota, fuck, 4Runner, is it a 4Runner, there's, like, 4Runners, I think that's what it's called, yeah, with, like, racks on the top, she's, like, these bitches don't even do any, like, they're not hauling shit on that it's just for show like people have racks on their cars for the look it's like an aesthetic thing they don't actually put snowboards on it or ski like they don't use it or when trucks are lifted she always says shit about that and like I don't know I just love my sister it's gonna be so fun to podcast with her I'm sure she might get stage fright but I'm gonna
Starting point is 00:51:56 make her do it one time she has to she's so funny so yeah that's coming up my brother will be home he'll, he'll definitely do a show with me. Um, I don't know. Okay. I need to end this. I don't, was this a, was this a flop? I just feel kind of like juggle, give yourself credit. So today was so, so productive. Why am I recapping my date again? Today was a productive, today was a productive work Tuesday at home here in Washington at my mom's house. I got shit done. Here's your podcast episode 96. I did the best I can. God bless. Starting point is 00:52:54 go find your phone is it in the kitchen are you listening to this on a bluetooth are you hooked in with headphones right now are you is it across the room while you're folding clothes are you at the gym is it sitting over by a weight rack like go find your phone right now okay get your phone okay now that you've got it go over to the apple podcast app the purple icon go over to that bitch tap that shit get your thumb out okay wipe off the sweat dust it off get your thumb out tap that apple apple podcast app now you might be listening to spotify right now and that's cool get off get off spotify go to apple and click my show the Jacqueline Monroe show click it okay now on the list of episodes scroll the fuck down scroll scroll scroll where
Starting point is 00:53:45 it says leave a review. Okay. Go pick a number between one and five, whatever you're feeling and tap that many stars and submit it. You don't have to write anything. You don't have to like get, you know, this isn't, this isn't supposed to be hard. This was really easy. Just tap a few stars, one through five, pick a number. I don't give a fuck. Just rate me on Apple, on the Apple iTunes app and submit it. Okay. There's your homework. You did it. Okay. Now go put your phone down, get back to work, whatever you're doing. Um, dude, no one else walks you through it. Was that a good idea? I hope so. And I hope one person, I hope I just walked one person through leaving a review because people brush over it. They're like, yeah, subscribe, leave a review,
Starting point is 00:54:30 go to YouTube, subscribe. It's like, no, you got to wake people up. So if you're listening right now, I hope you think about yourself right now, sit down, reflect on yourself. Did you just roll your eyes because they asked you to do that and you're like fuck you I already left a review fuck you I'm annoyed by you I don't want to leave a review well in that case leave a one-star review and call it good but I'm saying like I hope that I hope you did something there okay I'm like imagining you listening going into finding your phone and leaving a review and that's cool I'm desperate guys I'm so desperate I just like want to make it to the big leagues I want to drown out all these hoes doing it once a week. You know, I'm coming for all the big dogs. Here I am seven
Starting point is 00:55:14 days a week. No one else is fucking doing it. So fuck it. I gotta, I gotta get desperate sometimes. I gotta ask. Um, that was way too long of a tangent to tell you guys to leave a review, but I hope you did it. I hope. And I love you for it. That's cool. Also just screenshot this episode and share it on your Instagram story. That's fun. Tell everyone about the show. Just tag me, whatever, just like post it. Who's that? Who are you listening? I got to take it seriously at some point. I got to think on those, in those terms. Fuck. Okay. Finally, Patreon. God damn it.
Starting point is 00:55:56 My slipper is like half on my foot right now. Finally, this is really important. Go over to patreon.com slash tjms to support the show if you want to get a shout out on Fridays head over there sign up you'll get access to all my patreon only content that stuff that doesn't make it to Instagram no one else sees it except my patrons so you can go over there and subscribe for access to that and yeah that's really all I got for you today I hope you're having a great day morning night whenever you're listening I really hope you're happy and fulfilled by your job your family your friends I hope you're just doing well um god damn it it sucks because like I just want to make I I've had a huge epiphany about my mental health this year now I'm going
Starting point is 00:56:47 to keep going fuck it this podcast isn't ending all I want to say is this I basically snapped out of it quick quickly I snapped out of my bullshit I realized that I'm wasting a lot of time in my own toxic loop of negative thoughts about shit and I just like snapped out of it I'm like I don't have to do that that's like it's not useful this isn't helping my life and now I'm all about making baby steps towards goals and just looking at the day ahead and seeing like what I can do to get me a little closer to what I want. And obviously that's cliche, but like literally I had that epiphany because my depression was caused by, or the reason I got super depressed. I don't want to say my depression. Like I went through a phase of depression in the spring. Okay. Whatever. And
Starting point is 00:57:38 I've dealt with it. I've had slumps throughout adulthood so far. Like it happens all the time, but I finally realized that I'm setting my goals or I'm like thinking about shit and thinking about what I want in the final form like the ultimate goal the final result and it's making me it makes me hard on myself because I haven't gotten it yet and it's so far away like I'll never get it and then I'm like I feel like a piece of shit because I'm so far away from attaining my goals and I have to do so much work to get it and I get paralyzed by starting and then I feel even worse about myself because I never take action so it's been a journey of a year but basically if you're not happy if you're struggling right now just like snap the fuck out
Starting point is 00:58:26 of it and just work on one day at a time take a baby step each day and just don't overthink it I'm talking to myself I was a big overthinker everything about my life is like too much thinking too much overthinking overanalyzing and now I just like wake up and get shit done and go to bed it's so much fun I love my life I just fucking love it I have so much fun I just have fun uh and I don't don't like I don't worry or care so much about being great at it like being perfect or like I know today I know if I listen to this which I will not do I'd be like fuck this episode I hate it but it's about me making the baby step posting it anyways posting the content sharing my story, talking about the fact that I'm probably not going to like this episode.
Starting point is 00:59:18 You got to learn. Anyways. All right. I could keep going. You guys, this could be a two hour show. I love you. Have a great day. And I'll talk to you tomorrow for Wednesday's podcast. All right. Bye guys.
