I just wanted to let you know there's a referendum going on at the moment. It's a very important referendum that's going to change the future of our country. And the referendum, I'm not talking about the Aboriginal Voice to Parliament referendum. I don't talk about that referendum on this podcast. This is a podcast about me buying a boat.

Now, if the yes campaign or the no campaign want to give me enough money to have a boat or to make a dent in getting a boat, I will endorse whatever loopy views you need me to endorse. A lot of people getting rich at the moment, getting paid to espouse one view or the other in the upcoming referendum on the Aboriginal voice to parliament. And I refuse to have a view on that publicly on the podcast until someone coughs up some cash. Could I just say to the Yes campaign, you've got a lot of money. Excuse me, I just, I spluttered.

I choked on my own saliva, which started rushing around my mouth, just thinking about all the money that the Yes campaign have. I can be bought. I speak to a large conservative audience who's probably mostly voting no. How about you give me some of that sweet, sweet Yes campaign money, and I'll tell the nation that this is a very important vote that is going to help us come together with First Nations people

in a spirit of reconciliation. But of course, if anyone from the No campaign, I know there's not a lot of money over there, but if you'd like to have me say this is a dangerous and untested constitutional change, or even something a little more in your face, I'll do it. I had a big powwow with the people who host the podcast because they had not paid me. And that's what the podcast is all about. It's getting paid and buying a boat. So I disconnected it. I made a big hubbub about it I said there's no more advertising and then as soon as I did that they got their bums into gear and they enabled like they just made it so that they would be starting to pay me if we ran ads on the podcast and so now I'm in this weird position where it's like I don't like. I'd made a big thing about taking the ads off. The podcast hosts are now doing the right thing.

I do need money for the podcast. So I'm turning it over to a vote, to a referendum. I said it was a referendum that's going to change the country. I mean, I'm in the country and if I have a vote, the country has changed. So in that sense, what I said was true.
