Hi everyone. This is Joe. This is just a quick housekeeping announcement. I don't love using the
podcast for this kind of thing, but not all of you are on my mailing list. Here's the announcement. I'm running
a competition with a $2,500 prize pool to help me find a video editor to create YouTube shorts for my
podcast. Shorts are those vertical videos with a duration of no more than three minutes that people
scroll through on their YouTube feed. So when I publish a podcast episode, I can clip the most interesting
parts, publish them as shorts and help the episode get more distribution. The logic is that I want to
grow the show to be the most impactful intellectual podcast in the world. And to do that, I need to
grow my YouTube channel. To grow my YouTube channel, I need to publish a large and consistent volume
of shorts. And to publish a lot of shorts, I need to find the right video editor. So I'm running this
competition to help me uncover hidden talent. Now, you do not need to be a video editor to enter the
competition. You can learn video editing skills quickly. I taught myself how to use some video editing
software in about a day, for example. The main qualities I'm looking for are attention to detail,
aesthetic taste, and general knowledge, or at least curiosity, which helps in selecting the right
clips. To enter the competition and go in the running to share in a prize pool worth $2,500,
you need to submit five shorts from previous episodes of my podcast. The competition ends in one
week at the end of September to read all of the details, terms and conditions, and to access
the competition resources, go to jnwpod.com slash prize. If you do want to enter, please go to
that page with all of the information first, jnwpod.com slash prize. That's jnwpod.com
slash prize. All right. Thanks everyone.
