This is a team that for sure will be in the playoff and I think could make a deep run.
I'm toying around with in my bracket putting them as a team playing for the national championship.
This was an eight-win team with an offense that couldn't throw the ball at all.
If they were to beat Oklahoma, nothing looks daunting on the schedule.
So you look at that schedule and it's like, I don't know if they win three games.
I trust Bill Belichick.
I believe that their schedule is as favorable as any in the country.
And for those two reasons, I think North Carolina is a buy next year.
College football has never been better.
Interest has never been higher.
Believe that we are at the dawn of the golden age of college football.
Hey, what's up, everybody?
Welcome into the Joel Clatt show.
I am Joel Clatt.
This show, as always, is sponsored by Hampton by Hilton.
We thank them for their support as we barrel towards the regular season of college football.
It is almost here.
It is almost August.
And the entire month of August, we are just going to have a month of football.
We are going to give you all the show.
shows that one you can handle and two that you need top 25 for the season my prediction for the
bracket defining success all the stuff that you love we are coming with that in august so make
sure to not just follow the show but subscribe to the channel on youtube you can do that by hitting
that button you can hit the notification button you'll know when all of our stuff drops and you
can follow us on social media as well at joel clats show or wherever you like to social media
and then by the way just mention it to a friend just be like yeah you know my college football
to Joel Clatio, and we'll get you all set for the 2025 college football season. In preparation for
that, though, today I've got 10 teams that I wanted to talk about. And here's the fashion in which I wanted
to kind of lay this out. And I wanted to let's lay the ground rules for what we're going to talk
about and how today. So it's kind of a stock up, stock down, rising, falling type of show.
Okay. So that's the premise of this. And it's 14.
Now, I want this to be very clear that this is kind of generalized towards this season.
Some of these teams I feel good about long term, but this season they might take a step back.
So think about kind of record from last year, where they could be going trend as it is for one season.
So I don't want to get spammed with all sorts of comments about, you know, how could you put this team or that team?
This is taking a step back for this season.
So I'm buying or selling these five teams each.
Buy five, sell five this season, this season only.
This season by number one on the list, Clemson.
You've heard me talk about it kind of all season, or all off season.
Clemson is just really, really good.
I think they're going to have an outstanding year.
They finished with 10 years last year, snuck into the playoff.
They beat SMU in that championship game, gave Texas everything they could handle.
Dabo seems to have this confidence back.
They bring back 16 starters from last year's group.
Clubnik is back.
Third season as a starter.
Third season with his offensive coordinator, Garrett Riley.
Four returning starters on the offensive line.
They're going to be seniors.
I think the real question is running back.
Gideon Davis is Davidson, excuse me, is a guy that's the top five running back.
He will be a true freshman.
I think he could have an impact for them.
Defense loaded.
It's going to be one of the best defenses in the,
entire country. New defensive coordinator, Tom Allen. He's in at D.C. after coming from Penn State.
They've got T.J. Parker. They've got Peter Woods. They've got Avion Terrell at Corner.
Sammy Brown. Like, this team is going to be loaded. And it's not a very difficult schedule.
You could make a strong argument that their two most difficult games are non-conference games.
They're going to have LSU in the opener and they're going to have South Carolina.
I think both of those games are tougher than any game they have on the rest of their schedule.
In the ACC, they don't play Miami.
They get SMU at home.
They have a road game at Georgia Tech and Louisville.
So I think their toughest games are the one on your screen on your screen right now.
LSU, that's at home.
Georgia Tech.
That's on the road.
SMU at home at Louisville and then at South Carolina.
This is a team that for sure will be in the playoff.
And I think could make a deep run.
I'll be pretty surprised if this is not a team in the national semifinals.
And you know what?
I'm toying around with in my bracket,
putting them as a team playing for the national championship.
We'll just see who they play.
So my number one buy team for 2025, Clemson.
I think Clemson's going to be incredible.
And again, trending upward from last season.
All right, let's go on the opposite side of that coin.
What's my number one sell team?
Remember, this is for one year based on where they have been.
And if you look at this team winning 10 games a year ago,
averaging over 10 wins in the last three seasons,
Tennessee is a team that I could see take a step.
back. I know that they, listen, I get it. Like people, Tennessee is great. Well, Tennessee is
right now a cell team. They've got the quarterback situation, which I don't love.
Losing a quarterback that late in the spring is not great. So you can make the argument like,
well, we didn't like Nico anyways. Fine. You know what? Fine. That's your prerogative. But the timing of that
was not great because the way that they had to fill that in the transfer portal is in Joey Aguilar.
So Aguilar comes in a spring portal, which means he hasn't had a lot of time with Josh Heiple on that system.
It came from App State, but then spent a short time at UCLA.
So UCLA and Tennessee kind of just trade quarterbacks.
And this is a quarterback-centric system that puts a lot of pressure on the quarterback to make post-snap downfield reads on wide receiver choice routes.
That's what the offense is.
So that player is vital.
Aguard, by the way, led the country in interceptions last year with 14 when he was at App State.
I think that's a problem.
They also have to replace the SEC player of the year, Dylan Samson, four starters off the offensive line, and the wide receiver group is young.
So again, step back.
I think the defense should be fine, should be fine.
Their best corner, Jermad McCoy, is coming off that ACL.
injury that was suffered in January. I think that they should be okay. The schedule is reasonable based on
SEC standards. I think they're probably going to be like a five and one team going into Alabama in October.
That would be projecting a September loss against Georgia. I think we're all okay with that. I think we're all okay with that. But then they would have road games against Bama, Florida, home game against Oklahoma. Not an easy schedule. It's a conference that's not going to give you any weeks off, as they love to tell us.
but this is an easy team to sell for this year.
Again, based on where they've been and where they might be this year,
not a long-term thing.
I do believe in Tennessee long-term.
I just think that this season could be a difficult one,
so they're going to be a sell for me.
Next on the buy list.
Again, where they were at last year,
where they might be headed this year, Michigan.
Michigan went eight and five a year ago,
several close games coming off that national championship run
the year before.
think about the way that they ended their season, though.
You could make an argument outside of Ohio State winning the national championship.
In this day and age, where most teams are going to lose their last game,
it's not like it used to be in college football,
when most teams could win a bowl game and be like, yeah, here we go.
Now, if you're not in the playoff,
it's hard to even win a bowl game and feel great about yourself
because you're not in the top 12 in the country.
However, however, of the teams not in the playoff,
which, by the way, all 11 except for Ohio State had to end the year on a loss.
Michigan had the best, the best, easily, last month of the season of anybody in the country.
They were unbelievable on defense.
They get wins against Ohio State and against Alabama, despite scoring only 32 total points in those games.
Their defense was number one in the country in scoring defense and total defense over their last four.
by the way, in those last four, not a cupcake schedule, they played three teams that were in the top 15, Indiana, Ohio State, and Alabama.
They gave up two total touchdowns over the last three and a half games.
So something happened with Wink Martindale.
If they get any offensive contribution from Bryce Underwood or whoever plays quarterback, this team should be drastically better.
This was an eight-win team with an offense that couldn't throw the ball at all.
In fact, in fact, the only teams in the country that they were better than throwing the ball were academies.
That's a problem. Okay, so Mikey Keene comes in. I know he is dealing with that injury.
He could be a possible replacement at quarterback. Bryce Underwood, he could be possible replacement at quarterback.
And since Keene had the injury, he didn't get a ton of reps in the spring.
So Wonderwood got those reps. I think that they're going to want to run the football again.
They've got Jordan Marshall, a guy that they really like when talking to him.
They also brought in Justice Haynes from Alabama.
They've recruited well.
I've got a bit of a question about the offensive line.
Is it as good as those offensive lines late in Harbaugh's era that they could just lean on and just play bully ball?
Not sure.
Defense should be excellent.
I think Clemson and Michigan could have the two best defenses in the country.
Wink Martindale figured it out along the road during the year last year.
He turned in one of the better defenses in the country.
country. You've got Jair Hill. He's back. He's the one that stepped in for Will Johnson when
Johnson was banged up. Rod Moore, who tore his ACL before the year last year, he should be back,
although there's been complications with his rehab. And then you've got the schedule in the Big Ten.
They've got the benefit of actually a decent schedule. They don't have to play Penn State. They
don't have to play Oregon. They don't have to play Illinois. They don't have to play Indiana. And
they don't have to play Iowa.
So what do they have?
Well, a huge game.
Week two against Oklahoma that's on the road.
If, and I know that's a big if,
because Norman's not an easy place to play,
if they were to beat Oklahoma,
nothing looks daunting on the schedule.
They would have games at Nebraska,
at USC, Washington,
before the huge game against Ohio State at the end of the year.
I think this is a bounceback year for Michigan.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility
that they go and win that game in Norman.
I really don't, in particular with how good their defense is.
John Mateer is going to have a tough night that night against that Michigan defense.
There's no doubt in my mind.
So watch out for Michigan.
I think that's a bounce back.
I believe that's a buy for next year.
Michigan is a buy.
Okay, next on the sell list.
This one's a sell.
Not that they were great last year, but I think it could be trending in the wrong direction, Wisconsin.
The Badgers went five and the same.
seven last year. They lost their last five games, so they snapped a streak of 22 straight
winning seasons. Now, I don't want to do that. I was just going to say, like, they tried to
change their identity. And Luke Fickle went in a different direction, both defensively and
offensively, than what they had been through the entirety of their recent and success.
successful history. And I remember saying, I was like, hey, man, that's, that's dangerous.
You know, that's, that can be like Bill Callahan at Nebraska style stuff, where you win a very
specific way. You decide that it's not good enough. And rather than making little tweaks to
improve, you kind of throw the baby out with the bathwater stylistically. Now, I want to be really
clear. I think Luke Fickle is an excellent football coach. I really do. And I'm hoping that this
works out for him. And I actually think that Wisconsin could be a better team roster-wise this year
than they were even last year. But here's the problem. I don't know if that shows up in the
win-loss column this year. This is one of the most difficult schedules in the country. So
You can tell me like, oh, you know, they brought in Billy Edwards,
a transfer quarterback.
Fine. Jeff Grimes at offensive coordinator.
Maybe they're going to be more physical.
Go back to what Wisconsin has been in the past on the offensive side.
Okay, that's fine.
But you still have to be better than the teams that you play.
They could be underdogs in nine of their 12 games this year.
Think about that.
I'm just putting up the six that are like really tough on YouTube for you to look at.
Here's what's listed at Alabama.
Good luck.
at Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Indiana, Illinois.
Not to mention, that's not to mention.
They still have to play home games against Iowa, home against Washington.
They're at Minnesota.
By the way, Oregon and Indiana were on the road.
So you look at that schedule and it's like, I don't know if they win three games.
So for this year, as much as I really like Luke Fickle and think he's,
He's an excellent coach.
And I could even make a strong argument that Wisconsin could be a better team this year.
It's not going to show up in the win-loss column.
That's a sell all day long.
The schedule is brutal.
You can't make those changes and think that you're going to develop your way out of it with that schedule in front of you.
It's not about the size of the hole.
It's whether you can climb out of it.
So this is going to be a tough climb this year.
This year is a sell for Wisconsin.
Again, I don't love saying that, but it is what it is.
All right.
Next on the buy list, this is a team that I think is primed for a bounce back.
Buy list.
Here we go.
Stock up.
Year 21 from a man, Kyle Whittingham at Utah.
Rare losing season.
You know they're going to bounce back.
The season got absolutely wrecked by injuries last year.
It might be Kyle's last.
So you're going to have the sentimental last.
of that with all of his players. They went five and seven, like I said. By the way, in that five
and seven year wrecked by injuries, they were one in five and one score games. Like, I've got to
believe that that's going to turn around. They've got a new coordinator on offense, Jason Beck. He
brought in his quarterback with him, Devin Dampier. And from all the reports I've been hearing,
Dampier is big. He's physical. He can run. He ran for over 1,100 yards last year in New Mexico. First
team all mountain west. He does need to improve his ability to throw the football. He was under
60% completion percentage. But again, and I think Utah fans would know this, it's like,
yeah, you know, like we live with that at Utah. It's not like they lit it up quarterback playwise
outside of maybe a couple of years from rising. They had four different quarterbacks start for
them last year. If he brings them any amount of stability of that position in particular,
not turning the football over, they should be fine. Why? Because the defense is always fine.
Morgan Scaly is one of the best defensive coordinators in the country.
They were a top 25 defense a year ago.
And with a running quarterback, what should you be able to do, run the football?
They bring back an offensive line where all five starters are back,
including Spencer Fano, who could be one of the better offensive tackles in the entire country
and could be a top 10 pick in next year's NFL draft.
So, yeah, you lay all of that out there and you think to yourself,
Well, will they bounce back? Yes, that's a buy all day long. Utah should be better.
They should be an eight, nine, maybe even 10-win team.
Won't surprise me at all if they compete for the Big 12 title, thus compete for a playoff spot.
And at that point, I think if they have that type of year, I think Kyle Wittingham might walk away.
I mean, Kyle's been one of the great coaches in college football.
And I always say this, and there are a few, and I don't want to make anyone upset.
But if my kids were good enough to play college football, and that's a big hit, I would want them to play for guys like or specifically, Kyle Whittingham.
He's that good.
He runs his program the right way.
Yeah, they've got a tough schedule, but everybody in the Big 12 has a tough schedule because the Big 12 is basically all the same team.
You know, as far as balance goes, that's the most balanced league in the country.
So you can say that they've got a tough schedule and it's like, okay, so do.
does everybody else? And if you tell me that they're not going to turn the football over,
they're going to get back to run in the football with that experienced offensive line, lean on
their defense, rush the quarterback, the one in five and one score games will turn into five and
one. And now all of a sudden, what are you? You're 10 and 2. You're 10 and 2, and you're probably
playing for the Big 12 title. You saw the schedule up there. Tech, that's going to be a tough one.
Arizona State, that should be tough. At BYU, who knows what they're going to be like. Colorado,
who knows what they're going to be like at Baylor, Kansas, Texas.
Again, it's the Big 12. Everybody is the same. All right. So Utah, that's an easy buy. That's a stock
up. Hey, you know what? It's time to get out and do something fun. So whether it's catching a game or
surprising someone with tickets, live events are back in a huge way. You know it and I know it. This is
why I want to give a huge shout out to the sponsor of today's show, Seat Geek. All right. So they've got
28 million downloads. Seat Geek is the number one rated ticketing app with more than 70,000
70,000 events listed. So the college football season, that's upon us. You know it. I know it. The NFL is on the horizon. Major League Baseball, that's in full swing. Our team here at Joel Clashio, we use Seat Geek to grab tickets for all of it. It's quick, it's easy, and you know you're getting a great deal. That's what I love about it. So this is how it works. show description to download the app. The code will be automatically added to your account for
later. Just a huge shout out. Huge thanks to Seatkeek for sponsoring today's show. Now let's go to my next
stock down. This is a sell. Who we selling? You got to look at teams that maybe popped last year and
maybe popped in specific ways and for specific reasons. Okay. So there was a team that really popped
had a great year in particular because they had the ability to throw the football and specifically
because they had a guy transfer in with a lot of experience and they had good players around him.
I'm talking about Syracuse with Kyle McCord. They had the right schedule and they
the right player to combine that into a year in which they, what, 10 wins, number one passing
attack in the country. And it translated and good for them. They had that huge win over Miami
late in the year, basically knocked Miami out of the college football playoff. But now you look up
and now they're tasked with replacing all of those players. And they've got to replace those players
with a really difficult schedule. So Fran Brown, you know, he's been doing a great job. He's
recruiting really well. This is not indicative, very similar to Tennessee about how I feel about
their team long term or in the future. This is more of a specific year in, year out from last year
to this year. I just don't see them being able to improve, therefore, to sell 10 wins. Not
going to happen again. They've got to replace Kyle McCourt. He led the country in passing.
They've got to replace LeQuint Allen. I thought the most underrated running back in the country.
They're top two wide receivers. Jackson Meek.
in Treber Pena, who ended up transferring, I believe, to Penn State.
Start tied in, Orande Gadsden.
He's gone.
Total of 15 starters being replaced.
Steve Angelie comes in.
He's expected to battle the LSU transfer, Ricky Collins, for the starting job.
Again, there's just uncertainty, and then you get into the schedule.
I love the future for Syracuse.
I don't love 2025 for Syracuse.
They have six games away from home, and all of them are going to be tough, all of them.
Here's the six games that they have on the road.
They're going to have Tennessee and a neutral, basically a road.
That's Atlanta, three hours from UT's campus.
Clemson on the road, SMU on the road, Georgia Tech on the road, Miami on the road, Notre Dame on the road.
That is vastly different than the schedule that they had in front of them when they won 10 games a year ago.
vastly, vastly different.
And so for those reasons, I think this is an easy sell for this year, like where they're headed long term.
maybe it's a long hold.
But for this year in the short term, that's a sell on Syracuse and we move on.
What's my next buy?
For next year, this one is also maybe a bit under the radar.
But I love the track record of their head coach.
He kind of did this at a previous stop.
He's quietly built their roster.
Enjoy my conversations with him when we have a chance to catch up like at spring meetings.
a team that went six and seven last year in his first year.
And they basically had to replace their whole team from the previous year.
And in the previous year, the team played for the national championship.
I'm talking about Washington.
Washington should pop this year.
Okay.
And this is an under the radar one.
I don't feel like enough people are paying attention to what's going on in Seattle.
I really like what Jedfish is doing at Seattle.
Again, six and seven a year ago.
and if you look at their trio at quarterback, running back, wide receiver,
it's up there with anybody in the Big Ten.
Anybody in the Big Ten.
So can they move forward and progress and develop and capitalize on their ability
from last season to beat USC and beat Michigan?
Can they continue to play at that level?
So DeMond Williams showed that he could be special.
Just second start in the Sun Bowl against Louisville,
400 total yards, five total touchdowns.
He's a dual threat guy.
Jonah Coleman is one of the best running backs in the Big Ten,
and then Denzel Boston, he's a true number one on the outside.
Those three guys give you a chance.
The old line's got to be better.
Williams was sacked 15 times in his two starts,
so they've got to be better.
They brought in some talent on the offensive line.
If that's better, then watch out, they should be very good.
I love what they did on defense, guys.
Love what they did because, granted, he's an old teammate of mine,
But I think Ryan Walters is a terrific coach and a great defensive mind.
They hired Ryan Walters.
Remember, he was the defensive coordinator for Illinois under Brett Bilema
when they had that great run with some of those NFL players.
And then he got the head job at Purdue.
It didn't work out.
Purdue really didn't support Ryan Walters very well.
And he moves on.
And now he's back to coordinating a defense,
which I think, again, he's excellent at at a place where they can have some success.
They've got crowd noise.
They've got a lot going for them.
So Walter steps in.
Fish got a few more players in the transfer portal from his previous stop at Arizona.
So he got the corner Ticario Davis, who was an all big 12 corner.
He got Jacob Manu, the linebacker, and he brought up some more defensive front players to add to the depth of front.
The schedule sets up really well for Washington.
Again, this is another reason why I've got them on the buy list.
They get three of their four toughest games at home.
And think about what they've done at home in Husky Stadium.
They've won 20 straight home games.
20.
That's the second longest streak right now behind Georgia.
Their last home loss in Seattle was 2021.
And you look at the games that they have and it's like, okay, you bet.
Here's the home games they have.
Ohio State, Illinois, Oregon.
I think they win at least one, maybe two.
of those games. They also have to travel to Michigan.
So of those four games, I think that they can win two of them. The question is just which
two. Again, Jedfish has done this before. He has built programs. He did this at Arizona.
He's in the process of doing it at Washington. And this is the type of schedule and the type of
offense in particular with help on the defensive side through transfers and defense
coordinator. As a six and seven team last year, that's an easy buy by Washington for 20
I think that's an 8, 9, maybe 10 win team this season.
This is an also, let's move to sell.
I think this is an easy sell.
Unfortunate for this program, but this is just what happens right now.
This sell is BYU.
Okay, so with everything that's gone on this summer, you look back and it's like they
start 9 and 0 last year.
They've got CFP in their sites.
They lose two of their last three in the regular season.
They beat Colorado on the bowl game.
A lot of people high on them in the offseason.
But part of that was the fact that they felt like with Jake Retzloff back on offense,
they could handle some of the losses on the defensive side.
I love Kalani Sataki.
Again, this is not indicative of like an overall program decline.
It's just an indicative of terrible timing at the most important position on the field.
Jake Retzlough left the school after violating the school's honor.
code. So this is a guy that on the field was steady. He was a good leader for them from last year.
They believed in him. And now all of a sudden, you lose your quarterback and the three-man battle
has had no time to develop. What are they got? McKay, Hillstead. He's got four career starts at
Utah State. He's a dual threat guy. They've got Trayson-Borgay, eight career starts at Western
Michigan. And then a true freshman, Bear Brockmeier. He enrolled at Stanford in January, but
transferred after Troy Taylor was fired. So he's been there a short time. So in total,
they have 12 total quarterback starts at the college level and zero at the power four level.
That's tough. It's really tough to overcome that. They're replacing eight starters on defense.
That was a defense that was excellent last year. The schedule isn't bad, but it's again,
just like all the other big 12 schedules. You're facing a bunch of teams with similar talent,
and you're probably going to be in a one-score game with a quarterback that has no experience.
So again, not indicative of where this program is at overall. I love Kalani Sataki, everything he stands for and represents. I like this program.
But for 2025, this is an easy sell. BYU is on the sell list.
Buy. This is my last buy. And I'll be honest, like I was wondering about a couple of teams in this spot.
And I landed on this one for two reasons.
Trust and schedule.
All right.
So let me go through that.
My buy is North Carolina because I trust their coach and they play a really favorable schedule.
This is a team that was under 500 a year ago, six and seven.
Mac Brown exits, greatest coach of all.
all time, Bill Belichick enters.
This team has a lot of transfers.
It's really difficult to project what this roster is going to do.
So, again, this is more of a bet on Bill Belichick.
And I don't think Bill Belichick cares what all the noises this offseason.
I really don't.
What people are talking about, who they're talking about.
I think he cares about getting this roster, the team, the players,
to believe that they can go out there and just do their job.
And if you do that in that conference against that schedule,
I don't think anyone's running away from them.
So there's a good chance that this is a team that's going to be in a lot of games that they play.
He hired Freddie Kitchens as their offense coordinator,
brought in the quarterback from South Alabama, Gio Lopez in the Spring Portal.
He's a lefty, good with his legs, 25 total touchdowns, only five interceptions.
again, that's probably what Bill Belichick loves about him is he didn't turn the football over, right?
Because Bill, along with guys like Nick Sabin, will talk a lot about the fact that games, more games are lost in college football than won.
So it's not that you've got to go out there and be better than everybody.
It's just that you've got to go out there and not beat yourself.
You've got to be better than you.
And he understands that.
In a lot of ways, that was the Patriot way.
Don't make mistakes.
Be methodical.
So that's my reason for optimism is that I think that he can convince this roster to do that.
And if he does, they will be in and probably win a lot more games than you anticipate this next season.
The schedule sets up really well.
They're in the ACC, so it's not like they're going to be playing a ton of games against teams with like a marginally better talent than them.
Maybe Clemson is on that list.
That's their toughest game by far.
I think only one top 25 game this year.
That's going to be Clemson.
They don't play SMU, Miami, Louisville, Georgia Tech, or Florida State.
So here's their toughest games, the six that you're seeing on your screen.
They've got TCU, UCF, which they're rebuilding under Scott Frost.
At Syracuse might be tough, but I'm telling you, they're in a rebuild mode.
Duke, North Carolina State.
That North Carolina State game is on the road.
So if you lose to Clemson, it's like, well, who cares?
Remember, six and seven.
And they go eight wins, nine wins, that's a huge upside.
That's a huge buy.
For me, trust schedule.
I trust Bill Belichick.
I believe that their schedule is as favorable as any in the country.
And for those two reasons, I think North Carolina is a buy next year.
It brings us to our very last sell.
I wish that this coach and this team wasn't on this list.
But like, you just have to, you have to analyze the team.
he leaves and you've got to just look at what's going on.
This team, I thought in a lot of ways, even overachieved last year,
even though they weren't 500.
They were six and seven.
Fifth straight losing season for them.
And they probably were hit harder than anybody else in the portal, and that's Cal.
Cal is getting crushed in the portal.
It's a tough place to win.
They don't support their football program.
Justin Wilcox is a terrific football coach.
He's got a new offensive coordinator and Brian Harsen.
Again, going six and seven at Cal is really difficult to do.
They lost several key playmakers.
They lost their quarterback, Fernando Mendoza.
He went to Indiana.
Jaden Ott, their running back, went to Oklahoma, their tied end.
Jack injuries went to Texas.
They just can't compete.
And this is a team that is going to have a roster that is like, who are these guys?
They gave up the most sacks in the nation last year with 51,
Wilcox got the defense to get back into a place where they can play decent defense,
and then he lost his coordinator, Peter Serman, to the NFL.
They've got a tricky opener in Corvallis.
And then they have Minnesota in the non-conference.
I know that the ACC schedule isn't bad,
but everyone's going to have probably better talent than them because they lost almost their entire roster.
They got crushed in the portal.
This is one of those teams that you look at and it's like very tough to compete.
So that's a sell for me, six and seven last year.
Cal is a sell. I love Justin Wilcox, and I hope he gets a chance to succeed somewhere someday.
Maybe it'll be Cal. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe it will. That'll do it for my buy-sell episode.
