The Josh Innes Show - Arch Manning's Sense Of Humor Part 1

Episode Date: September 16, 2026

It would appear that Arch Manning is on the same level as Ike Turner as it relates to treatment of women. I found a random video about Holly Rowe/AI/Arch that I found so hilariously bad that I feel ...the need to break it down. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Starting point is 00:00:26 Discover coffee plus on nispresso.com. This Arch Manning story is so stupid, and it's like we've gone backwards now. We made all this forward progress. You know, we got Sidney's Titties out everywhere. You know, life is going good. We're moving forward, you know, we're done with these people being annoying and woke and offended by everything. You know, you feel like we're kind of moving out of that era, and we're moving into an era where, like, we're almost annoyingly at a point where we can do dumb things and say dumb things to the point to the point that it might be even too. much, but it's fine because it's better than the alternative, which was dumb 2019, 2020,
Starting point is 00:01:06 woke fest that was awful. But then this Arch Manning thing happened where he laughs at the video of the fake AI edit of Holly Rogan punched by Steve Sarkesian. And then you remember that we're not out of the woods yet. We are still in this woke society, and not even woke, woke's not the right word for it, I don't think. I think woke is over a year. used, but we're in this overly sensitive, pusified society where people love to go to the internet and white night for people and then try to tear other people down who are doing harmless things, particularly some goober. Now, I'm not one of these people.
Starting point is 00:01:45 Like, I was listening to my buddy Matt talk about this yesterday. My buddy Matt's like, just remember, this, you know, I don't think, you know, I didn't think it was funny, but, you know, he's a 22-year-old kid and these are just kids. Well, Archmanney makes a fuck ton of money. He's 22 years old. I don't view Arch Manning as a kid, so my defense of Arch Manning's not going to be, oh, he's a 22-year-old idiot that thinks dumb things are funny. Because I guarantee you there's 30-year-old dudes that probably laughed at that in 40.
Starting point is 00:02:09 Now, real talk, like, I don't think it's the most hilarious thing I've ever fucking seen. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm not going to sit there and tell you that this was, wow, hysterical comedy. But the idea that it's super offensive in some way is preposterous. All right, let's play a couple commercials, and we'll continue. and I will try to avoid using the word preposterous, although I seem to use it a lot now, and I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:02:33 I've become John McLean in my old age. I just say preposterous a lot, but it is preposterous that this Archie Manning's been forced to apologize over this. He's clearly just a dufous, but of course he's got to apologize. Then we have to get these like think pieces about women in sports media. It ain't about fucking women in sports media. But whatever, okay, let's play a couple commercials and we will move on. Hear that?

Starting point is 00:03:24 All right. So first of all, I was going through Instagram trying to find just the audio of this so I could play the audio for you. Well, I did find a video of some lady breaking this down, and she is your prototypical lesbo-looking, angry women in sports, and this is terrible, and we've made no progress. You know, let's defend Holly Row, which is a weird phenomenon. Like, you know, Holly Row had cancer. Good for her for beating it. She seems like a nice person.
Starting point is 00:03:54 She's a sideline reporter. And whether a sideline reporter is male or female, they are worthless. And the interview with the coach is worthless. and the stuff that they add nine out of ten times is totally worthless. I used to tell this to Howard Eskin. I'd be like, Howard, you're a sideline reporter. You do nothing. Nobody needs her.
Starting point is 00:04:12 I would tell this to his face. We'd be on the air and I'd be like, Howard, nobody needs the sideline reporter. You ask obvious questions. Nine out of ten times, you're not getting any new useful information. Like, there's no need. The sideline reporter never needs to be on TV. You can have one person down there trying to find out if somebody's heard or not. And that's the only information that's relevant.
Starting point is 00:04:32 There's no relevant information you're going to get from the coach after a game, and there's no relevant information you're going to get at half time of a game because these coaches are just trying to end this shit as quickly as possible, and they're doing it because they're forced to do it. That's it. So if you don't know the story, after that, which obviously you do because it's everywhere, but after the game, Sarkeesian kind of blows off Holly Roe, and she gives this look like, oh my God, he blew me off,
Starting point is 00:04:54 and everybody was super pissed that this guy, Steve Sarkeesian, blew this chick off. I'm like, ma'am, they just had the biggest comeback in the team's history. Sorry that he's more concerned about doing whatever he's doing on the field than asking a couple of obvious questions. Like the first one, wow, coach, have you ever been part of something like this before? And by the way, what do you got like, and what is that audio ever going to be used for again? Like at least in a press conference, the audio is going to be used by multiple people and it's going to be used in stories. Like, when is the video, unless it's Mike Leach putting on a fake mustache, when is the audio in a post game on field interview? ever important or ever use for anything.
Starting point is 00:05:34 The answer is it never is. Because it's useless, obvious shit. Sideline reporting, sideline reporters, all these people are, like all these people that ESPN fires, you know, maybe instead of firing, you know, Carl Ravich, fire the fucking sideline reporters who are useless, but they probably just make the least amount of money. But if you're trying to save money, hey, let's get rid of the thousands of sideline reporters you seemingly send out to these football games.
Starting point is 00:05:59 Like, do we really need a sideline reporter? at whatever Swack Classic is going on on this weekend, which, by the way, did you ever notice that all of the HBCUs, every goddamn game they play as a classic of some sort? And then the game itself is never actually a classic. Like, who decided one day that, well, every time, you know, Arkansas Pine Bluff plays against Alcorn State,
Starting point is 00:06:22 it's the blank classic. Like, why is every goddamn Swat game a classic? But anyway, I digress. Do we really need a sideline reporter for that? Do we really need a sideline reporter for all these games? Hell, we don't even need two announcers for most of these games. Most of these games aren't even watched by people. You want to start saving money.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Just get rid of all these dopes. Just listen to crowd noise at most of these games. But anyway, let's listen to this lady break this. Now, this was the first video I found, and people are angry with Arch, who's had to apologize because, yes, you should have to apologize for finding some stupid video. You didn't make the video, but you laughed at it and you found it funny. But here's the audio of this. lady.
Starting point is 00:07:03 Tell you that the video floating around on Twitter right now of Steve Sarkesian punching our girl Holly Roe in the face that has Arch Manning cackling like a little kid in school. How's it going? Of him slavin Holly Roe? I also enjoy the number of guys in there laughing at that because, look, I understand, let me put it this way. I understand the reaction that got because of the world, but this dude's fucking harmless. The number of things that happen with idiots that we don't get mad about, we're mad that some goober here thinks it's funny that Holly Roe got slapped in a fake video.
Starting point is 00:07:40 Jeez. Truly more disturbing than you're even prepared to imagine. This is Arch Manning, nephew of Peyton, Eli, grandson of Archie. Also, this woman looks exactly like you think she'd look. She's like putting on weird fake news lady voice. She's super offended by everything we're seeing here, and this is terrible. This is Steve Sarkesian. He is the head coach of the Texas Longworm.
Starting point is 00:08:03 former. And this is Holly Roe. Holly Roe, as we all know, deserves to be protected at all cost. And this... Why do we know that? When did we decide that Holly Roe is this special commodity in sports media world? She's a sideline reporter.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Sideline reporters are worthless. When is... Like, the only time a sideline reporter has anything of value is like if some guy leaves the field and they need to get an update on whether or not he's come out of the tent or if it looks like he's going to play or if he's back to the locker room. Those interviews that are done at halftime, 99% of the time yield nothing.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Now, the coach usually makes it. Like Mike Leach would say a bunch of dumb shit because Mike Leach was the greatest. And he put on a fake mustache, you know, whenever Gardner Minchew was throwing the ball around back in like 2017 or whatever that was. Like those were fun times. But outside of that, 99% of what you get from a sideline reporter is totally worthless. Yet somehow we must protect Holly Row who's on camera for a grand total of 47 seconds. Hell, I talk more on the radio right now than Holly Roe is on TV and I don't talk at all. But I'm on the radio longer than Holly Roe is on television at this point. So the idea that we must protect Holly Roe at all cost. Why? And then she gets all sassy after the coach walks away and she's all mad. Then the world takes it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Your job is to interrupt somebody in one of the great moments of their lives. The moments of their season, something that's special to them, and then it's your job to run over there and ask them obvious questions. Hey, coach, just tell us what you're feeling right now. Well, I feel pretty fucking good, Holly. We were down 20 points in the fourth quarter, and we came back in one. I feel pretty fucking good. I'm going to go home and plow my wife tonight, Holly.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Thank you for asking. We all know, deserves to be protected at all costs. And this weekend, it seems to be that the M sports world is not treating Holly with the respect that she deserves and the respect that any woman in media. Would this woman have cared? If that was like Tom Rinaldi that got smacked around in the video. And the obvious answer is no. And since the guy getting smacked around,
Starting point is 00:10:09 the lady probably find it hysterical like, good. You fucking men. You awful men. Deserves actually, let alone any woman in general point blank period. For some reason, the moment that Steve Sarkisian believed that he could blow off his post-game interview, despite the fact that literally everyone has done,
Starting point is 00:10:31 this since the dawn of time. It was to be one that people believe that they can litigate and think that Holly was somehow the one at fault for his behavior. Nobody thinks that Holly is at fault for anything, but also like tough shit. The guy's in a moment. There's fans on the field. His team just won a game. These interviews are useless. For the love of Christ, get rid of sideline reporters and get rid of the on-field interview at halftime and after the game. They are worthless. And these guys don't tell you anything anyway. They're worthless. Yet somehow, boy, this woman does this with a straight face, which is wild.
Starting point is 00:11:10 How's it going? Of him slavin how I wrote. Based on the laughter in that video from not only Arch, but presumably the staff, the media, everyone else that was in that room and giggling along. When I tell you I was wholly unprepared to see the video that made this kid look like that? Honestly, even though it's an AI video, I do want to warn you that it's extremely triggering. It's obviously very clear that the M sports world doesn't deserve Holly, and you guys can just give her back now. What is the M sports world?
Starting point is 00:11:51 Like the men's sports world? I have no idea what the M sports world is because I'm not a dipshit that I don't pay attention. to whatever the M sports world is, I'm guessing the men's sports world. Now, this is my new favorite thing is just watching these weird videos that these people put together. The video is super triggering. It's an AI video. Like, are you triggered by watching movies too? Like, listen, the fugitive is triggering because some guy with one arm killed Richard Kimball's wife and she's a woman.
Starting point is 00:12:23 I'm triggered. Like, have you seen the beginning of scream? Have you seen when Drew Barrymore is hanging from that tree at the beginning of scream? I'm triggered. Don't you know? She's a woman. It's AI. I also like at the end there, she goes, even though it's AI, it is super triggering.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Well, when you know that it's fucking AI and it's not real, then how are you triggered by it? Like, man, sideline reporters are worthless. If you can take anything away from this. one like I heard Matt talking about this and Matt I think had to play kind of safe and he's going to be like well I'm a 44 year old man so things I find at 44 that are funny I didn't necessarily find funny at 22 yeah I also know that you laugh at shit like you know anchorman that came out when you were 22 and you still laugh at so like I don't believe that you went from thinking dumb shit was funny at 22 to watching you know down to an abbey and finding it
Starting point is 00:13:25 Brilliant. I just, I don't believe that. You know what I'm saying? I think a lot of the shit, I would argue that most of the shit you found funny when you were 22, you still find funny now. And look, and I'm not trying to bang on my buddy Matt here, but I was listening to him talking about this yesterday. And that's when I got more angry about this because I'm like, Matt, you don't. There's no, like, I'm not telling you that that's super funny. Because it's, like, I'm not, like, I just, like, I didn't find it super hilarious. But, like, the idea that, like, Arch Manning can do this because he's 22 and he's kind of a. doofus and and what you find funny at 22 is not what you find funny at 44. I'm like, well, I'm 40. I saw super bad when I was 21. You know what I still find fucking hysterical?
Starting point is 00:14:06 Super bad. You know, uh, I still find a lot of the same shit that I found. I go back and watch old YouTube videos all the time, videos that were the hot, you know, trending viral videos of when I was in high school and I still laugh my dick off at them. They're still fucking hysterical to me. Bub rub and little sis, still hysterical. Uh, uh, unforgivable, still fucking hysterical. David goes to the dentist still hysterical. The lady stomping the grapes and breaking her neck still fucking hysterical. So I don't necessarily buy that, you know, well, once you hit 40, a lot of the kind of shit you find funny isn't going to be, uh, I find most of the same kind of humor I found then to be funny.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Billy Madison, you put Billy Madison on right now. Me, you, Jack, and Frank are going to put dog shit on people's doorsteps and we go sets it on fire. That's funny to me. I'm also, I find it hysterical when people make these videos when they're super offended by this kind of shit.
