I'd like to know if there's a team in the NFL that brings back former players to play again more than,
and the Eagles.
I was thinking about that because last night you hear that they're signing Zach Ertz,
and then you hear that Zach Ertz is 10 catches away or something like that
from breaking the all-time team record, and you're like, that tracks.
That's a very Philadelphia thing.
But I'd like to know that.
Like, just chat GPT know this answer?
Like in recent history, is there a GM, and granted, a lot of teams have new GMs more
frequently than the Eagles.
I've had Howie Roseman for 100 years.
But like, I feel like, and maybe this is wrong,
and maybe it's not just an Eagles thing.
Maybe I'm conflating them with other teams in Philly as well.
But it feels like Philadelphia is a place that just brings back guys.
Like they don't bring in new guys.
They just keep recycling the guys that have been there.
And maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe like this is like the one time this has happened and I'm just, I'm thinking of this in the wrong way.
Let's play a couple commercials and we'll continue on this.
I'm going to use chat GPT.
We're going to cheat on this and see which NFL teams bring back guys who have played
for them already more. And does anybody
do it more than the Eagles? Or maybe I'm tripping.
All right, let's see here.
Let's Google this. We're Googling
which NFL
teams
bring back
or bring back former players
most
as players. That doesn't make any sense.
But the Buffalo Bills
currently stand out for repeatedly resigning
former players with
eight X team members on the roster of practice squad.
That was in 2025.
While other franchises like the Rams and Saints have high-profile reunions,
according to the late 2025 report,
the Buffalo Bills have brought back eight former players this season,
all of them.
Now, again, that's in one season, not, you know, all time here.
Let's see, the Saints.
Cameron Jordan is a free agent, but has been linked to a potential return to a
state.
Okay, but that's different.
That's not what I'm looking for here.
I'm looking for teams that just, like,
whenever they're kind of short.
And I understand why you do it because it's guys you have some sort of familiarity with and all that.
So I get it.
But like, is Brandon Graham coming back?
Am I tripping on that?
Did I read that Brandon Graham wanted to come back or is coming back?
Let me see here.
I guess I should know these things.
But Brandon Graham announces, okay, so 13 days ago Brandon Graham announces retirement.
But Brandon Graham has come back before.
Like it's just like, and I understand.
because they're good players and you know them and you have a familiarity with them and they have a familiarity with you.
Again, in my mind, I've probably made this up in my mind.
But Philadelphia just feels like a place where more often than not, we see these stories where like guy comes back after, you know, like he was gone for a while.
But now we're bringing him back.
We're bringing this guy back.
It just feels that way.
Maybe I'm wrong.
Do you think the Eagles are frauds?
While we're talking frauds, now we're doing like a Philadelphia show.
Hey, bow, do you think they're friends?
Frauds, Bo. Do you think they're all any frauds? No. And I don't think the, and I know we talk a lot about, you know, Eagle stuff. I say a lot. We talk about them sometimes. But like, I don't view the Eagles as a fraud. I think because I don't view the Eagles as a contender. But again, I don't know if they are. Because again, they're kind of the same team they always are. Do I think they're a team that can go out and win the NFC? Kind of. I mean, the Rams looked great last night. They played a backup quarterback. Who gives a shit?
game's different if Jackson Dart plays. If Jackson Dart isn't dead in the first five minutes of the
game, that's a different game, which is not unfair to say. So, you know, the Rams are solid. Now,
and Rams did that without Puka. I mean, the Rams are the favorite to win the NFC. I get it.
Then I look at the Eagles and I'm like, eh, I mean, what are the Eagles? Who are the Eagles? They're the
same team they always are. Like, their team that, like, maybe more so than any team in football,
If they win 13 games, you wouldn't be surprised.
And if they won eight, you wouldn't be surprised.
They're an interesting team, man.
But it's hard for me to wrap my brain around the idea of them winning the Super Bowl,
but it's also hard for me to wrap my brain around them sucking.
They're just kind of there.
You know, they just exist.
And, like, they're just solid.
You know, like, you know what's actually been good for them?
Is that people have kind of forgotten that Siriani's the coach.
And by that, I mean, like, I felt for multiple years,
It was always, we're making fun of Siriani.
He's a dofus.
He's a big dumb dip shit on the McAfee show.
They do all the bits about Siri on.
He's got the fucking Rocky shirts on.
He's got the Eagles throwback shit on.
He's pandering to people.
And granted, I don't listen to WIP ever.
So I have no idea what's going on WIP or what is being said publicly by this dude.
But like, it feels like that's kind of toned down.
Like that whole vibe of like, hey, um, you.
you know, I'm Mr. Captain Philadelphia, and I got my, you know, I got my Mike Quick jersey on,
and I got my Rocky T-shirt on, and I'm running the Rocky steps, and I'm having hoagies,
and I'm on South Street, and I'm on, we're on down on Broad Street.
Like, you feel like that's kind of toned down, and like to the point that you forget that he's still the coach.
I found myself saying that yesterday, or two days ago, I guess it would have been,
when the game was on, I'm watching them play Tennessee,
and they show the sideline and there's Siriani and I go, I'll be real.
I forgot this fucking guy's the coach.
You know, like I had totally forgotten that Nick Siriani was the coach because you don't
hear about him anymore.
It used to hear about him all the time.
That's all you heard about is how this guy is a doofist and this guy panders to the Philadelphia
people and maybe he's a fucking moron and he's a hard on.
And there's the big tear drop.
He's crying at the Super Bowl and there he is talking shit to the camera after a big play.
Like it's weird.
Because maybe this is what I'm trying to convey.
At least when he was being a dipshit, there was kind of a mojo about the Eagles.
And now that mojo kind of isn't there.
I have no idea if what I'm saying makes any sense.
But there was a mojo that they had.
There was an identity.
There was a vibe they had.
The coach was kind of a fucking hard on.
And he looked like a hard on.
And he's on the McAfee show.
and people make fun of him for being a hard on
and he says dumb shit but they win.
Am I wrong?
I'm guessing, like the people that listen in Philly,
you know, send me a message at some point.
Am I wrong in saying that there is no identity of that organization
because the coach was sort of the identity?
The vibe of the coach was the identity.
Who, like, that was kind of the vibe.
Like they kind of went as he went.
Maybe it's because they're not as good as they were a couple years.
years ago so like they don't have that same mojo but like when i think of nick seriani i think of
he's a heart on obviously but i think of guy looking at the camera and you get that slow motion
gif of him nodding to the camera and you got the the the super bowl videos and all this shit
and now there's just kind of nothing it's just kind of there you know like they just exist
and maybe that's good for them maybe just kind of like lying in the weeds under the radar you know
you know, seventh, eighth, ninth best Super Bowl odds.
No one's really paying attention to them.
Like, who the fuck's talking about the Eagles?
Everybody's talking, you know, Rams Super Bowl.
Everybody's talking about, you know, the Buffalo Bills.
Everybody's talking about, you know, what's going on in these different places.
And wow, look at the big surprise of the year.
The Saints are one and one, and the Raiders are two and oh and whatever.
And quietly, team that should be one and one, but they're not.
They're just quietly two and oh.
No one's talking about them.
No one's talking about the coach anymore.
No one's talking about the quarterback outside of, you know, former teammates saying we've got to make him be an actual quarterback, which, look, you want to say something about Jalen Hertz.
And like whether or not Jalen Hertz is a great quarterback, you can debate, but the guy has been to multiple Super Bowl.
He's one-one, so at some point you've got to give him his fucking flowers.
But he always handles these fucking situations like a stud.
And I do think there's something to be said about the way his shit went down in college in Alabama and how he got benched for Tua.
And then Tua comes in and lights the world.
on fire and then he sticks around and I know that this is kind of trite, it's overplayed and I get
that. But then when Tua goes down, he has to come in and win him the SEC championship game.
Like, I do think there's something about that. There is a mental maturity that this guy possesses
that a lot of fucking guys don't. This guy's done some living in the world of being a
quarterback and having to face a shit ton of adversity. This guy's done some fucking living.
So I give him credit. And, you know, he's got his former teammate that's, you know, basically telling
the world that he sucks and if we force him to be an actual quarterback and not run,
he's not going to beat us.
And then at the end of the game, he's like, he basically tells him, I know what you fucking
said.
I heard you, dog.
Like, he handles these things so well.
Like, is he an all-world quarterback in terms of being a quarterback?
Probably not, you know?
But also, the dude handles every situation like a fucking stud, like a pro.
He has got to be one of the most mentally tough people on the planet.
And when the game was on the line, again, it's a shitty team.
You can't ignore the fact that they're playing a shitty team.
You can't ignore the fact that they had to beat Washington by two
and they had to hold them out of the end zone for a two-point inversion.
And you can't deny the fact that Tennessee, arguably the worst football team on the planet,
you know, force two turnovers.
Like you can't ignore those things that you had to rally to beat them.
But when the game was on the line and you needed somebody to win the game for you
and you needed big plays to be made in the fourth quarter,
And yeah, my man threw a pick when it was 17, 17 in the fourth quarter.
Tennessee goes down, kicks a field goal, goes up three.
But what happens when it's 24 to 20?
Games on the line, guys got to make plays for you.
It's third down and five or whatever it was.
Guy throws a 20-yard pass for a first down.
And then they make the plays they need to make and they win the fucking game.
You know, there is not a more polarizing quarterback
ever, I would argue ever, than Jalen Hertz.
Not Tim Tebow, none of these guys. Because everybody deep down knew Tim Tebow wasn't a good
pro quarterback. He had a moment. He had a miracle moment in the playoff.
Jalen Hertz is the most polarizing quarterback, maybe in the history of the NFL.
Because he's a guy that's been to multiple Super Bowls. He's won one. He wins,
whatever it is, 60-some-odd percent of his games, all that shit. And every year he
still has to be in the middle of debates about whether or not he actually sucks.
and that's fucking wild.
But then you look at that last drive, man.
They had a third and six, 20 yarder for a first down.
They have another third and six, 20 yarder for a first down.
Like, the guy can ball, but he is a, he is a very divisive figure.
And then you just look at the Eagles overall.
They're two and oh.
And you're like, no one's talking about them.
But you look at the schedule, tough schedule coming up.
It looks like they're going to catch the bears with their backup quarterback.
Don't sleep on Bejan.
I like that dude a lot.
He can sling, all right?
I mean, there was a debate at one point between him and Caleb early on.
Obviously, you know, Caleb's going to be the guy.
But you give a couple games of Bejant, there are far worse dudes to face.
That dude's a fucking gunslinger.
There's like a Case Keenham type where like, like, you're glad you're facing a backup,
but then you're like, or like Drew Locke.
You know, Drew Locke's a really good NFL backup,
and he's been great the two games he's had to play.
Like, Bejan is not a guy you just sleep on and go, okay, fuck, Beja, we got this.
No, you're on the road.
It's a primetime game.
You're on the road for back-to-back games now.
You had to overcome a lot of adversity to beat the Titans, which, again, you shouldn't have been in that position, but you were, but you did it.
You got a tough stretch here, man.
Like, you talk about a fucking gauntlet.
Like, there's no rest in here.
You know, you would think the bears are?
The Bears are?
What is the line in that game?
What is the bears?
Now, again, it's going to be impacted because we don't know if.
if Caleb's playing or not.
I mean, the way he reacted on Sunday,
you would have thought they would have put him six feet under.
But let's see,
Bears, Eagles, point spread.
I haven't seen it, but I'm going to guess.
Eagles are a three and a half or four and a half point favorite would be my guess,
especially with a backup quarterback.
So let's see.
Three and a half.
So the Eagles are a three and a half point favorite.
Don't sleep on the bears in this one.
The bears have weapons all over the fucking field and Bayjeet knows how to get on the ball.
So don't just walk into this game and be like,
yeah, we got this backup quarterback.
You're on the road, back-to-back games.
There's a lot of shit you have to deal with in that world.
So I wouldn't just circle that and pencil it in and go, hey, we got to win.
But then you've got to go Rams and you've got to travel to face the Jaguars.
You've got to go to another country to face the Jaguars.
You've got to face the Panthers who now all of a sudden, while they may not be a great fucking team,
they can sling it and they can fucking score at least so far two weeks in.
That could change.
Cowboys are the Cowboys.
And then you got the commanders after that.
I mean, there's not a ton of rest on here.
Now, these teams in a couple weeks, we can discover that some of them suck, and that's fine.
But this is tough.
And that's why the Eagles are such a fascinating team.
Like, if they survive this stretch, and, you know, they come out of this, you know, let's see, they're 2 and 0 now.
I think they should beat the Bears, but it's not a guarantee because I like Beijing a lot.
So let's say they win that and they're 3 in 0.
They host the Rams.
Give the Rams the benefit here and say the Rams win it.
They're a better team.
All right, let's just assume.
All right, they win that.
They're 3 and 1.
They'll go to London, Germany, whatever fucking country they're going to.
Let's say they beat the Jags there, and that gets them to four and one.
Panthers, again, at home against the Panthers, until proven otherwise, I don't believe
the Panthers are some fucking unit here.
So you win that, and you're a five and one football team.
You host the Cowboys at another primetime game.
Let's say out of those next, one, two, three, four, five games, even if you just win three
of them, you're sitting fine, but you could very well win four of these games.
you can beat the Cowboys, you can beat the Panthers, you can beat the Jaguars.
Rams will be tough, but you're at home.
All of a sudden, you're going to be looking at the Eagles in a month.
In a month and a half, the Eagles are going to be sitting there probably with one or two losses.
So at worst, when they go to November, when the calendar turns to November, at worst, the Eagles who are now 2 and 0, let's say they beat the Bears, they're 3 and 0.
So then you got the Rams 3 and 1.
Let's give them the Jaguars 4 and 1.
The Panthers 5 and 1.
And let's say you lose to the Cowboys.
You're 5 and 2, 7 games into the year going into November.
There aren't going to be too many teams in the NFC that are 5 and 2.
That's the point that I'm trying to make here.
Is for all the shit we're talking about the Eagles and we're not even talking shit about the Eagles.
They're just flying under the radar.
They're just kind of hanging out.
Even though they got a tough stretch of games here, they come out of that shit 5 and 2
and then it lightens up a little bit, right?
I mean, you've got to survive that.
The commanders, who knows what the situation is going to be with Jane Daniels, right?
Giants, who knows what the situation's going to be with Jackson Dart.
Steelers look like shit.
I mean, they really just need to take Aaron Rogers out back and turn him into glue.
He's dunza, okay?
Cardinals stink, Colts aren't very good.
Then you got the Seahawks.
Again, you've got a rough go in this thing.
This schedule at least two weeks into the year looks tough.
But there's a very realistic possibility you're a five and two football team going into November.
And a lot of teams in the NFC aren't going to be able to say that.
You just look around the NFC right now and say, well, you know, who are the good teams there?
It gets two weeks into the year.
I mean, the Saints are a one-on-one team.
Are the Saints going to remain, you know, playing that level of competitive ball in the NFC?
Probably not.
Are the Giants?
What are the Giants?
What were they last night without Jackson Dart against the Rams?
I got pecker-slabbed.
I think the commanders are toast.
The Vikings are two and O.
Will that continue?
The Lions are one-on-one.
I don't think the lions are any fucking good.
They've given up 71 points in the first two weeks of the year.
their defense is not going to get better.
The lions, like I keep hearing people say,
lions are a pretty good team, are they?
I mean, look at, I mean, the lions like the fans in Detroit
like to brag about their easy schedule,
but like I don't view them as some sort of great team.
They should be 0 and 2.
I mean, yeah, you look at the schedule and the dolphins are on there
and the Cardinals are on there and the Jets are on there.
Yeah, they're winnable games.
They had a lot of winnable games last year that they didn't win.
So around the NFC, I think the Seahawks are pretty legit.
Are the 49ers as legit if they've been the first two weeks?
The Falcons stink.
I think the Buccaneers, I think Baker got paid and all of a sudden he ain't good anymore.
The Panthers are leading the South.
Do we really believe the Panthers are going to be some sort of viable team?
Probably not.
Like, you're right fucking there.
Let's ask you this.
After seven weeks of the season, how many teams out of these teams do you believe are going to have a chance to be five and two?
The Saints?
No.
The Buccaneers?
No.
The Falcons, no.
Seahawks, yes.
49ers maybe.
Rams, yes.
Cardinals, no.
Lions, maybe, but again, I think they're fools gold.
Bears, maybe.
Packers, they're fucking weird.
They're minus 14 in the point differential right now.
The Packers might suck.
You're right there.
You're right fucking there if you're the Eagles.
It's pretty fucking wild.
