Fly Emirates, fly better.
All right, and while we're talking about the Texans, it's not unfair now to talk about where they would end up and what would happen in the postseason, right?
Now, let's just start looking around the postseason, and obviously there's a game tonight, and that matters because the
chargers are involved. But let's just take a look at what the postseason looks like across the board
now after last week. And you start looking around the playoff standings, and then you start looking at
teams and who they may match up with. I mean, right now, Baltimore is pretty much dead. Kansas
City's dead. Miami, even though they're red hot right now. Miami is dead. Bangles are all
but dead. So you start looking around. The Texans should get in. Really, I think we know the
seven teams who are going to be in the postseason in the AFC, because I don't see the Colts doing
anything with no quarterback. The Ravens have shown me no reason and given me no reason to
believe. I guess here's the difference. We know probably six of the seven teams and maybe you'll
flip-flop Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Outside of that, because neither one of them will be the
wild card. So one of them's going to win the division and no one's going to win the wild card.
So that's where we are with the AFC. Let's start looking at teams and see who we think is the
favorite in this thing. Because right now, you want to talk about why
open. I look at the
NFC, and I believe the Rams
are head and shoulders above everybody else.
I don't care that they've lost a couple of games.
I don't care that they lost to Carolina.
That doesn't phase me.
I am a 100% believer in the Rams being the best
team in the NFL. I believe they are better
than both of the teams chasing them in their division.
I believe they're better than the Bears. I believe
they are better than the Lions. I believe they are better
than Green Bay. Because they have
things that some of those teams don't have.
Like the Lions have no offensive line play.
Their defense is decimated.
It'll be a miracle for them to even get into the playoffs.
And the Rams are going to smoke them this weekend.
I think they're going to just smoke the Lions in L.A. this weekend.
All right?
That's number one.
So then you look at the Rams versus, say, the 49ers.
I don't know how the 49ers continue to do it.
I think they're a damaged team with bad quarterback play as well.
Seattle, you're just waiting for Sam Darnold.
And gradually, as it kind of goes on later in the year,
This is what happened to him last year and what happened to him in the playoffs, right?
And this is what you're starting to see again.
He's starting to make worse decisions and turn the ball over.
They're surviving because they're playing teams that aren't very good, right?
Like if you look at Seattle, they're 10 and 3, great.
Here's who Seattle has played the last couple of weeks.
They've played horrible Vikings, horrible Titans, horrible Falcons.
Struggled against the Titans, smoke the Vikings, smoke the Falcons.
But if you start looking at what you're starting to get out of,
which is starting to get more out of Darnold.
Darnold's starting to make worse decisions.
He's starting to throw a higher number of picks.
If you look at him in the last five weeks, he's thrown six interceptions.
Now, granted, four of those were against the Rams.
Hey, by the way, the reason they lost to the Rams is their quarterback turned the ball over four times.
The Rams have a much better quarterback, right?
Like, there is, I do not believe there is a team in the NFC or in the AFC that is close to the Rams.
And if the Rams don't win the Super Bowl, it is a massive failure.
Matt Stafford should get a second and probably an MVP, and he should be a winner in this thing.
That's how this thing should play out, right?
So, but back to the AFC.
So you start looking around the AFC, whereas I think in the NFC there's a clear cut number one team and some pretty good teams under them.
You start looking around the NFC or the AFC, who is the best team?
Because you'd like to judge it based on quarterback play, right?
Who are the teams that have the quarterbacks?
Well, the best quarterback in the AFC, historically, is Pat Murray.
Holmes. He ain't making it to the playoffs. Do you trust Bo Nix or Drake May or just Aaron Rogers?
I mean, I guess you trust Josh Allen, I guess, but they don't have playmakers. And they're
another team that's kind of cashed in against some crappy teams. They hung on to beat the
Bengals. The Steelers game was closer than the score would indicate. And really, they beat the
Bengals at home because Joe Burrow became a dipshit in the fourth quarter yesterday and
through two interceptions, basically the lineman yesterday, and it cost them that game.
But the Bengals were right there the whole time.
So, like, that's a team that could have four or five losses easily.
I don't believe in them at all.
Like, there's nobody in the AFC as it stands right now that I believe in.
I think anybody can beat anybody, but if you're looking for something special, defense travels, right?
Who's got a better defense in the AFC right now than the Texans?
answer is nobody because nobody in the NFL currently has a better defense than the Texans.
So can the Texans get into a slap fight with, say, Denver and win 1613 in a
playoff game? Absolutely they could. Could they get into a slap fight? And I like New England's
off. I like Drake May. But could they get into a slap fight with the Patriots and beat them
1713? Yeah, of course. No, can they beat the Jags? They have. Can they beat the Steelers? The
Steelers stink. The Steelers
defense is not good
and Aaron Rogers is not good.
It is not ridiculous to think. If you look in the
AFC, and I guess you give the bills some sort of an
edge because of a quarterback play, that's it.
But if the, let's say the Texans
into the season now, they'd be the seven, right?
So they would have to face the New England Patriots
in New England. I guess that would be the playoff
matchup. Do you believe that the Texans defense that
D'emico Ryan's got going right now? Couldn't
go up to New England and beat Drake May? Of course they could.
It'd be a really good head coaching matchup, too, Vrable versus D'Amico.
But, like, of course they could.
If the Texans played the Jaguars in the playoffs, let's say the Texans were the sixth seed
and the Jaguars were the three and it's the Jaguars or whatever the matchup would be.
Let's say they face the Jaguars. Of course they could be. Could they beat Pittsburgh?
Of course they could be Pittsburgh. They should. They'd be favored.
As a wild card on the road, the Texans would be favored to beat the
Jaguars and the Steelers.
I have no question in my mind about that.
Pittsburgh stinks, and they've already beaten the Jaguars and should have beaten them twice.
I guess you could argue they should have lost one.
They were down 20 in the fourth quarter, but whatever.
So the AFC is truly wide open, and I can look at the number seven team in the AFC and say,
okay, I think they could win.
I don't believe the NFC is wide open.
I believe the Rams are clear-cut better than everyone.
Green Bay I don't buy them offensively
Philly I don't buy them offensively
Tampa's just falling off a cliff
I still need these A-holes to find two more wins for me
To hit my win total parlay
They go out and lose to the fucking Saints yesterday
My God Saints
Like you can't help me
You can't win for me
You can't be good
And then you go on you can't lose to Tampa for me
You assholes
Tampa ain't going to win shit
I don't believe in Sam Darnold
So Seattle ain't going to win shit
See, if you put Sam Darnold in a playoff game, he will turn into a fucking pumpkin.
It is inevitable.
It happened.
Last year, it will happen again.
San Francisco is one of these strange teams.
It just keeps hanging on.
You look at them down the stretch.
Look, Titans and Colts, they should win.
Bears and Seahawks are two huge flip games for them.
Who knows what's going to happen?
But if you start looking at San Francisco, San Francisco, who have they beaten?
They've got a quality win over Seattle to start the year.
Their other wins, Saints, Cardinals, they have beaten the Rams.
The, let's see, the Falcons, the Giants, the Cardinals, the Panthers, the Browns.
I don't believe in San Francisco.
San Francisco cannot win the Super Bowl.
The Bears cannot win the Super Bowl.
The Lions cannot win the Super Bowl if they get in.
And it's going to come down to the Lions and the Bears, I think, is what's going to happen for that last playoff spot, I think.
That's the best bet for the Lions who I need to make the playoffs.
In the NFC, I believe they're, like at this moment.
I cannot look at any other team but the Rams and say they can win the Super Bowl.
Packers' defense is nasty.
And if the Packers can somehow steal home field and play the Rams at home, I think they got a shot.
If they have to go over to L.A.
And L.A. is playing inside Matt Stafford, Pooka, Kua, against the Packers.
Look, the Rams should have 12 wins.
I know shoulda coulda woulda, but they beat the freaking Eagles and they gave the game away.
And they gave the game away against the Panthers.
they were driving to go win the game, fumbled in the rain.
It was a rainstorm, whatever.
That should be a 12-win team.
If you want to flip-flop the 49ers games and Eagles games,
find 49ers and Rob Panthers,
that should be a 12-win team that should easily be in the number one seed without question.
I don't look around the NFL and look at the teams in here and look at the standings in the NFL
and see more than two teams that can win the whole thing.
Really, right?
And look, and inevitably the Rams won't win the whole thing and all look stupid.
I do not see a team in the NFL that can.
and beat the Rams in the postseason, especially if the Rams are playing indoors.
Maybe Packers.
Unless you pull off a miracle type of situation like the Eagles.
They should have, hell, the Rams should have gone on the road and beaten the Eagles last year.
The snow got them, whatever.
So you would need something like that.
The Eagles would have to be playing a snow game with Matt Stafford in the snow.
Or the Rams would have to go to the Packers.
And I know that they've lost three games.
I don't care.
The Rams are exponentially better.
Like defensively, you can say it's a wash whatever with teams like the Texans.
I mean, there's some, Green Bay is very good defensively as well.
Here's the difference between the Rams and Green Bay and the Texans.
If you're looking at great defensive teams, one of these teams has Matt Stafford, Pooka, Kouka, DeVante Adams,
Kyron Williams, loaded.
The Texans are not loaded at receiver and either is Green Bay.
I mean, look, look at the number of games Green Bay has played, even with that defense they have.
now they're starting to score a little bit more lately
but I still don't believe in their offense
and I don't believe in the Texans offense
these are teams that do enough and ride the defense fine
but I look around the NFC and I'm like
it's Rams or bust
if it was Super Bowl now and you give me
Rams or the field I'm taking the Rams
because I don't believe
and that Denver's got a good coach
I get that I don't buy Denver
New England's got a good coach I don't buy New England
Jacksonville not a fucking chance
Pittsburgh not a fucking chance
the chargers border actually what is uh what is um what is what is herbert ever done that makes
you believe that herbert's going to do anything except get hurt like if it's rams v field
it is easily the rams i wonder if that's a bet rams let's see versus the field super bowl
bets let's see now this was seven days ago let's see as of week 14
the Rams have the best odds. The field is a collective bet on any 31 teams.
So you can take the Rams, let's see. So right now the Rams are plus 480 to win the Super Bowl.
Seattle's plus 850. The Packers are plus 900. The Eagles are plus 950. The bills are plus 1,000.
Now this was as of a couple of days ago, I think. It says it December 8th. So that's today.
I don't see the field has an 83% chance of winning, right? Give me the,
Rams. And it's not
recency bias. They lost a week ago
to Carolina on the road and the
rain. So, dude,
as I look at this,
I do not see a team that has the
combination of offense and defense that
they have. I don't
see it. And ain't the Texans are
pulling, look, the Texans are not
faking these wins. They are legitimately
beating teams. They're doing it with sick defense.
I'm not dismissing what the Texans are
doing. But in the
postseason, if you have to make a big play,
Let us not forget.
The Chief's defense ain't great.
What did the Texan's offense do for the last half, half and a half, two and a half quarters of the game?
Nothing.
They were given one good field position and they cashed in when they needed to cash in.
Good for them.
But like, and this is not to rip them.
Be very clear.
I'm not here to rip the Texans.
I got a huge win on the road against the Chiefs and what was maybe the biggest regular season game they've had.
So, ever.
So huge win, not dismissing it.
However, we talked about it.
Pun, punt, punt, punt, punt, and they were three and out, three and out, three and out.
And Andy Reid, inexplicably said, here, we'll just give you seven points.
Fucking stupid.
So what do the Texans do once you get to the playoffs and you have to go tit for tat with someone?
The good news is a lot of these offenses aren't very good in the AFC.
I like New England.
Jacksonville's nothing special.
Pittsburgh is nothing special.
The bills are nothing special.
The chargers are nothing special, assuming they get in.
which they will.
You know, the best offense you might run into in the AFC is the Patriots.
And do you believe that a first-time playoff type quarterback is going to go in there and get it done against the Texans defense?
It's pretty freaking good.
I don't know.
So the AFC is certainly fascinating.
NFC is not as fascinating.
They're better teams overall, but it's not as fascinating.
And I still believe the Rams to me, if they're what, plus 500 to win the Super Bowl right now, I just might jump in on it.
Why not?
All right.
More to come.
