The Josh Innes Show - Choose Love
Episode Date: February 6, 2025I got a nice message from a listener about yesterdays show. I saw a picture of some black Chiefs fans wearing Native American head dresses and it made me laugh. The world is in an uproar over the NFL ...removing "End Racism" in the End zones, yet somehow people are totally cool with people wearing head dresses and mocking Native American culture. Hello, friends. How are you? It's Josh. Glad you are checking out the podcast.
Glad you continue to listen. Glad you continue to tell your friends.
Make sure you do more of that. Tell your buddies.
Say, hey, the guy lays around in his underwear every morning with his dog
and does a podcast, and I enjoy listening to it, and he's done wacky, fun things.
So, he tells stories about the wacky, fun shit he's done in the weird life he's lived and
he's fun to listen to and you'll like it too. Got a message from someone that says real talk me as a
hardcore Democrat and Trump hater. Nobody ever put things into perspective as you do the end racism
episode. I was sharpening my knives to post and blah blah
blah then I heard your reasoning I was like shit Josh is right that's my TED talk for today keep up
the good job with the pod love it bring more radio rose stories you have new listeners who don't know
what happened with you and Seth um first of all thank you for that message friend that's very nice
of you to say I choose to believe I have a pretty good perspective because I think my perspective is shared by
the vast majority of people in the country and in the world.
Problem is the most vocal people are the ones that share the most inane shit.
And they're the type of people that are the worst.
And they are the type of people that have huge followings.
And the huge followings help create a dumber people and a dumber people creates a dumber country and that is why we are a dumb fuck land of people here in
America and no one's doing anything to make anybody smarter and honestly nobody even wants to be
smarter people just want to be dipshits on the internet you want to see this kind of goes back
to the end racism episode from yesterday but uh like the idea that the NFL gets away from putting end racism in the
end zone, which means they no longer want to end racism, I guess. But they get rid of the end
racism. The idea, of course, when you post shit like end racism and all of your virtue signaling,
the idea, and let's be real, we're not children here. The idea is that white people are racist
and they are racist against everyone and no one
else in the world is racist.
It's just white people and particularly white people are racist against black people.
It doesn't go anywhere else really because let's be real, the NFL doesn't give two fucks
about Hispanic people.
They really don't because there aren't too many Hispanic football players or coaches
so they don't have the squeaky wheel effect.
There aren't a bunch of Hispanic people out there bitching nonstop about how there aren't Hispanic coaches. This is a country of
black and white and we tend to ignore every other group of people for the most part unless there's
some sexy story where some white person does something to that group and then it becomes a
bigger story or like Trump deporting people. Then the people in the news pretend they care about
Hispanic people. They don't. They know where the bread is buttered. The bread is buttered in
black versus white. And that's why they continue to hammer this home year after year, day after day,
show by show. That's what they continue to do. But like the idea that racism is essentially a
white versus black thing, and it's mostly white people against black people if you want to see the most hysterical forms of racism okay now some would debate that
racism can only be white people against minorities i disagree with that i think that's a dipshit
breakdown of that i think the reality is racism happens everywhere. If you're black and you hate somebody who's Indian, well, then, you know, you're a racist.
When you go out to a bar and you call an Indian waiter a sand N-word, which an NFL or an LSU player did that once.
Quarterback by the name of Ryan Paraloo went to a restaurant and got into some argument and called some dude a sand N-word.
Now, if you call somebody a sand N-word, that is racist, right? In the same
way that if a white person would have called someone an N-word, that is racist. But we ignore
that kind of stuff because racism in America for sex appeal purposes is only white people who are
terrible doing bad things to minority people or saying bad things to minority people. And that's
how this goes. But if you want to see the greatest form of racism, internal racism, self-loathing, just the most fucked up shit, go read comment sections on posts on social media from urban radio stations, particularly like rap radio stations, like hip hop stations, like, you know, some station that's playing like Teddy Pendergrass, you're probably not going to get a lot of that.
But if you go to a radio station, like something called like hot something or another, or the beat
or something like that, and there's a post and it's in any way questionable, like, let me give
you an example. So, um, I now Saquon Barkley is either engaged
or he's now married to his girlfriend. They have a couple of kids together. They met in
State College, Pennsylvania when he was at Penn State. Saquon Barkley is a black man,
if you didn't know. If you haven't watched the NFL lately or you were just uninitiated,
Saquon Barkley is a black dude. His girlfriend is a white chick. And in certain
pictures, she looked quite basic. Now, if you actually look at her shit, she's like a model
and she's very pretty. Like Saquon Barkley ain't going to be messing with no basic ass bitches.
Dude's the leading rusher in the NFL. He ain't fucking around with no basics. Okay. This ain't
old school. This is new school where black dudes like get all the hot
white bitches that's just the way the world works now right good for them i don't fault them i don't
care who you get black chicks white chicks indian chicks no matter just get the hottest chick you
can good for you bro i'm on your side but if you read the comments you want to talk about racism
hashtag end racism if you really want to dig into that go read the comment section of
pictures of saquon barkley's lady on a hip-hop website and the thing is the people that run
these hip-hop website or radio station instagrams and shit they know the kind of shit that's going
to get the fangs out for their weird racist people and it's just going to be mostly like angry black
women that a black man is with a white woman or it gets even better if a dude is with like a light
skin black chick the darker black chicks do not like light skin black chicks so then they talk
shit about them like i've never seen a group of people that have more internal racism and hate each other more than
black folks, particularly on the Instagram accounts of urban radio stations, of hip hop
radio stations. Just go do it. Go find whatever your local hip hop station is, or just go look up,
you know, a big one, like something in New York or LA, you know, like real, real FM or something
in LA and go find posts about Saquon Barkley
or find something about a black dude with a white woman,
and you will see a bunch of fucking vitriol and fucking hate.
I'm talking black folks against white folks.
I'm talking black folks against black folks.
But when you turn on the news and you hear about racism,
racism is basically just white people
that are terrible against black folks and we ignore
everyone else we ignore internal racism we ignore racism from like two different minority groups
against each other i mean why were the la riots go back to the la riots black people and like
korean folks right like how it was going down. But what do I know? Point being
in all of this is racism is over because the NFL has determined that racism is over. So everything
is fine now. So a picture that someone posted on Twitter, there was a news story, some black folks
that were dressed in Indian headdresses for the chiefs game. They had all their, their Indian shit
on native Native American shit on. And they're
being interviewed on the news and somebody was like, why can we not call a team the Redskins,
but this is okay. I find the Chiefs thing to be the most hypocritical thing ever. By the way,
I'm not some guy fighting to change the name back to the Redskins. It ain't my team and I don't give
a fuck. Call your team the Commanders, the team, the slapdicks, the Indians, the Native Americans, the Redskins, the well-paid African-American gentleman with a
white coach. I don't care what the fuck you call yourself. Do whatever the fuck you want to do.
It's not my problem. But like the person's point was somewhat valid in that it is offensive to
have the name the Redskins and the logo the Redskins,
yet black folks are over here wearing headdresses and like it's fucking F Troop.
It's like, what are we doing?
Like end racism now.
And then you go to the Chiefs game and they'll have some black football player beating some fucking Native American war drum
while a bunch of white Midwestern hillbillies are doing a tomahawk chop.
And we're like, what the fuck are we doing? How can you say end racism when the Kansas City Chiefs
whole image is a bunch of dipshits wearing feathers and shit? I'm not offended by it,
but you got to acknowledge how hysterical that is. You have to acknowledge how hysterical it is
that we got to end racism, but preferably we'd like to have all black head coaches if we could. Like you have to acknowledge how fucking absurd it is.

Yeah, it's hysterical.
The world is a hysterical place
everybody's a hypocrite everyone's full of shit everyone's stupid we're all dumb
um it's fascinating man and then like that picture i saw though just it tickled me it tickled me to
it brought me joy to see that like we're in this great fight to end racism and racism's terrible
and obviously it is but like all these people want great fight to end racism and racism's terrible and obviously it is
but like all these people want to tell you basically it's racism if it offends that group
of people but then everything else is totally fine and the people that whine about it are total
cunty pussies right oh god it's fantastic it's kind of like when lebron would you know like do
taco tuesday and start making like speedy gonzalez sounds which all by the way all disney cartoons of like the 1920s 30s and 40s were all just racial stereotypes like the
asian guys would have like very narrow eyes and they would they would sound stereotypical asian
and then you would have like every like speedy gonzalez bb all that shit like everything like
black dudes like like everything was so stereotypical, right?
But we look back on that so fondly.
We're like, oh boy, that's cute.
That's the cute 1940s racism.
It's adorable.
But then like you start to really break everything down and people are just fucking nuts, man.
But I do urge you, as per our previous discussion, I urge you, if you're looking for something fun to do today, I wouldn't comment on any of the posts because it's just a no-win situation.
Sometimes you got to know when to say when.
Sometimes you got to know when it's just not your fight.
But you want to look from a distance.
You know, it's the same reason why, like, you go to, like, Worldstar or whatever.
Like, you go to Worldstar, you watch a bunch of people fighting at a Waffle House, and you're like, I don't want to fucking fight at a waffle house, but I want to watch some
dipshits fight at a waffle house. Right. So like, that's kind of what it's like when you go to one
of these, you know, Instagram accounts of a, uh, of a hip hop radio station and just watch the
people fight with each other about like somebody not being black enough or like a white chick being
with a black guy and
how the white chick's probably just awful and how she's ugly anyway. And it's like, holy shit,
all this end racism shit. And we're sitting here fighting with like, you've got a group of people
that can't stop fighting with each other. And then the people that are the overlords of all of this,
like the arbiters of everything, like the spokespeople for the black community are the
other people that are just pulling the strings, watching all the other people fight with each other. Like, why can't we
just learn that people are stupid? Stop believing the internet, stop believing the news because the
news lies and just live your life. 10 years ago, life was better. 12, 13 years ago, life was better.
I don't recall people being this angry 13 years ago. And I'm not trying
to be Mr. Remember when guy here, but remember when people weren't so goddamn angry all the time.
And I can tell you that there's kind of a line of demarcation with all of this. And that line
of demarcation is truly, it's not Trump, right? Trump obviously took shit to the next level when
Trump was elected. But what really got all this going wasn't
Facebook. But when we started getting Twitter and I joined Twitter, I think in 2010, that's 15 years
ago, right? Twitter is what changed the entire game and people who found a way to manipulate it
to spread their fucked up messages and their divisive messages have done a successful job
of completely ruining this country and completely turning people
against each other.
And they have found value in turning people against each other.
And they continue to get rich off of it.
The pimps out there that are the brilliant ones, they're the ones that know how to turn
people against each other and profit from it and stay in power.
Profit and power, two Ps, profit and power.
These people know how to deceive and they know how to lie and they know how to turn
people against each other. And that's what you have to do. You got to create divisiveness. You
can also throw in like a Fox News in there as well. But ultimately, I've never truly viewed
Fox News as a real type of threat only because it's a bunch of old people yelling at fucking
clouds that watch Fox News. Now, I don't even know who watches Fox News. I couldn't tell you who's on it, but Fox News, like in its heyday, like it's Roger Ailes heyday
of Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity and all the other shit. Like the people that were watching
that, they would talk about how great the ratings were like Fox News. The ratings are through the
roof. We're the number one cable news network. Well, they don't tell you it's like a bunch of
octogenarians yelling at clouds, watching fucking Fox News. It's my grandma who's got Fox News on the TV and a police scanner next to her.
It's those type of fucking people. I don't believe that Fox News is some sort of true threat to
anything. The real threat to shit is social media and how you're able to convince people.
And sometimes it's easy to convince people. And oftentimes it's very easy
because you find people who don't have a lot and you find people who are desperate and you find
people that are easy to manipulate. And then you manipulate these people and you tell them that
they're getting fucked and then they go with it. And that goes with both sides. Like it's very easy
for the pimps on the left side of things to find a bunch of angry black people or Hispanic people or whatever.
Just like on the other side, it's easy to find disenfranchised white people, old white dudes, farmer type white dudes, rural Midwestern white dudes who've been told that they're fucking losers and that they're racist and their time is over.
And it's easy to rile them up and get them going the other way.
That's the power of social media.
That's what's been able to happen. And I know I'm kind of off on a tangent here, but it's the fucking truth.
We are a country filled with dumb people. And when you take dumb people who are looking for
anything, you take dumb people who are also poor, also need something, and they need something to
believe in, it's easy to get dumb, poor people to believe
in bullshit. And there's no reason for the pimps to stop spreading the bullshit. Why would the pimps
need to stop spreading bullshit? They're powerful from it. They're gaining power. They're gaining
money. They're gaining privilege. Why would they stop now? That's the name of the game, man. Follow
the money. Anytime you see somebody who's like a big spokesperson for a
group of people, follow the money and see what they've got. See what kind of house they live in.
See what their net worth is. See what their bank account looks like. And I bet you that bank
account's risen kind of in line with how they've been able to deceive people into thinking that
the world's against them. And then they build their big audience of people that way. It's about deception.
But we're ending racism in the NFL, so we're choosing love.
We're choosing love in the NFL.
That's the good news.
I don't want you guys, don't fret.
Do not fret because you might think we might be choosing hate today,
but we are not.
We're choosing love.
I want you to remember that. We are choosing love today.
And we are ending, well, racism's over because the end zone told us that it was over.
And that's good.
Anyway.
All right.
More to come.
