And that's the problem I run into.
That's where I get frustrated, you know?
And that's where, like, my passion isn't what it used to be.
Because, you know, like when Leonard Fournett would lose a game to Alabama,
you'd feel like, God, that hurt Leonard.
Because, like, he knew he'd go pro and all that.
But that's a Louisiana.
dude that wanted to beat Alabama because he's from Louisiana. He plays for LSU. Sam Leavitt
doesn't know a fucking thing about LSU. Where the fuck is Sam Levitt from? Let's find out where Sam
Levitt is actually from. Like, Sam Levitt has zero passion for the state of Louisiana or
LSU. Sam Levitt is from, let's see, Sam Levitt is from Oregon. This dude went to high school
in Oregon. He went to college at Michigan State, Arizona State, and LSU.
I'm not judging that.
Rock on.
But do you want me to believe that Sam Levitt has any level of true passion for Louisiana State University?
Louisiana State University is the place that decided to pay Sam Levitt the most money or whatever he wanted to come play.
But do I believe that Sam Levitt truly has a great passion for LSU?
And the answer is no.
So when I watch the guy play, I'm like, it doesn't hurt this guy to lose to fucking Ole Miss.
What does he care about Ole Miss?
He's been in Louisiana for four months.
He doesn't give a shit about LSU in Ole Miss or LSU in Auburn or LSU in Florida.
He knows nothing about the history of these programs.
Doesn't give a fuck.
And that is where I start to get annoyed.
And that is where I start to get frustrated.
And that's where me as a fan, and look, and I've had a lot to drink tonight,
and I'm aware I've had a lot to drink tonight,
but maybe this is something you guys can relate to.
No matter who it is you root for.
Like pro game is different.
We understand going into it that these guys are hired and whatever.
In college there used to be this idea that these people wanted to be at these universities because they cared about these universities.
The reality is they don't give too fucks about these universities.
They care about how much money they're going to make to come play at these universities.
That's why Darian Minces at his fourth place.
That's why Sam Levitt's at his third place.
And that's why insert whatever player, Trinidad Chamblis is at his second place.
And that's why there is no loyalty to these places.
So you feel like a total fucking moron sitting here wanting some form of loyalty, right?
Or some sort of passion.
They say that even loyalty.
Loyalty's not the right word.
Maynick!

manager. It's passion. Like when I watch Sam Levitt, I wonder, does Sam Levitt legitimately
give a shit about LSU? Like perhaps he cares about winning because he's on a team and they're
paying him. Which, by the way, they shouldn't fucking pay him. He's played like shit the last two weeks.
Maybe these guys should have to earn their money, you know, week to week or something. Maybe they'll play
tougher. I don't know. Like, that's the other thing about college athletics. Do you
really think you're going to keep a dude hungry once you've paid him? Like, it's not the same.
Part, and I believe it was Penny Hardaway who said this. I was listening to an interview with Penny
Hardaway, who coaches Memphis now football. And he's like, when we were coming up, we couldn't
get paid, like we'd get paid under the table and shit, but like we couldn't make millions of
dollars playing college basketball. So we knew that we had to ball out in college so we could
earn that deal to get to the pros and take care of our families.
Well, now these fucking college guys can just take care of their families now.
And like you lose some of that hunger.
It's the Rocky Three syndrome, right?
Like you lose that I of the tiger, man, that edge.
You lose an element of that.
And I believe that.
100%.
Imagine you give some 19 year old kid, 18 year old kid, a million dollars.
Do you think that kid's going to have the same drive as he had before he had a million dollars?
He'll give anybody a million dollars and see if they have the same drive.
And the answer is no.
And that's where I struggle with college athletics.
I don't really give a shit about college basketball.
Like I don't really watch a lot of it.
I don't care about it.
But I watch college football because I love college football.
And I just sit here and I watch this and I'm just like, what the fuck are we doing?
You know, like what are we doing in this era where it's like we're paying these dudes millions of dollars.
And do they deserve it? Sure.
But like you've got to get into a world where you decide is this professional sports or is this collegiate sports.
Because if it's professional sports, get these guys contracts and have them do whatever the fuck it is they're going to do.
But like it goes back to Sam Levitt.
And maybe I'm being unfair to Sam Levitt.
That's very possible.
But when I think about the Sam Levitt, the only thing I can think is I'm watching this guy play.
And I'm like, how much does this guy legitimately give a shit about LSU?
because there's no way I do this play that three places in like four years.
There's no way that guy could have that same level of passion as I do or a fan of a school does.
And I know that that's never been the case, but, man, I watch this shit.
And I'm like, I don't believe Sam Levitt has any of the same passion that I have.
You know, and then I'm watching this game on Saturday.
And the Ole Miss people did a good job and it was loud and it was crazy.
crazy and it was wild and all that shit. But like, I'm thinking about LSU and I'm thinking about
being a fan of this shit. And I'm like, what am I doing? Like I care way more about this than these
dudes who are getting paid. Once these guys get paid, how much do they really give a shit? You know,
how much do they care about this? How much does it matter? And I'm aware that people have been
getting paid forever under the table. And I get that. I'm not naive. But I feel like people used to
go to schools, at least in part because they had a passion for the school, whether they're from
the state or whatever it is, they have a passion for it. And they take pride in the fact that they
represent LSU. Does a Sam Levitt, who's in his third place in his collegiate career already from
Michigan State to Arizona State to LSU, does he have a pride for playing at LSU? Does he give
a fuck that he plays at LSU? Or is it just, hey, he's a mercenary for a fucking year, or two years,
or ever long he ends up staying there.
Like, you know what I mean?
Like, it's hard.
Now, maybe I'm a hypocrite because then you get guys like Joe Burrow,
who was a backup at Ohio State, comes to LSU,
but he was a backup.
And he made one move, and that move was from Ohio State
where he realized he wasn't going to play,
came to LSU, and built a legacy at LSU playing two years at LSU
as a fucking stud.
I do think that's different.
Whereas you get like a Daryan Mensa, who's at Miami right now,
and Daryon Mince has played at three colleges already in his collegiate career.
Like, is he somehow some sort of loyal player to Miami?
I mean, they're the ones paying in the most money right now, so I guess.
But it's just a weird thing, man.
Then, you know what I mean?
But then again, LSU's coach is the biggest whore on the planet.
So, you know, what do you do?
What do you do as someone who roots for college sports?
And, you know, what do you do as a fan of this shit?
Like, are you too naive about it?
Are you, do you just accept what it is?
Like, what is it?
you know? I don't know. It frustrates the shit out of me, if I'm being honest, because it's like,
like, I want to be passionate about things, and I want to be mad about things, and I want to fight about
things, and all that. And I do. I have a great passion for LSU. I really do. But it's just like,
I'm sitting there on Saturday, and I used to get really enraged over this shit. Like, you know,
go back 10 years towards the end of Les Miles into Cocho. Like, I'd get really fucking pissed over.
over this shit and I would throw things and I would punch things. And then now like that game on
Saturday, like we lost and it sucks that we lost. I was pissed off when we were down 24 to 7,
but we rallied. I think they made a horrible decision on a third down play call that led to a
field goal instead of scoring a touchdown to take the lead. That pissed me off. But at the end of it,
like I want LSU to win and I'm passionate about LSU. But it's, I don't know if it's just getting
older or whatever it is, but my vibe is different about it than it was even 10 years ago, five
years ago, six years ago, because I would get enraged and throw shit. Like once the game was over,
I would be enraged. Then last night, or I guess it was last night, I was laying on the couch
watching the game, Topless, if you want to have a visual because you want to be horned out.
I was sitting there, topless on the couch. And I'm just kind of like, we lost. I don't know
if that's just maturity. I don't know if that's just, I've realized that, you know, why should I
care so much about something that the guys who are playing don't really give a shit about?
You know, I don't know.
I don't know.
If I'm wrong, you guys can text me, message me, whatever, let me know.
Obviously, it's, you know, 12.30 in the morning, Sunday into Monday, most of you are probably
fucking fucking asleep, but I'm, you know, 20 fucking Miller lights deep and I'm just here talking
with you guys.
But, yeah, the whole fucking thing, man.
It just, it frustrates me because, like, I hate not having a passion for things, you know.
And as I've gotten older, and now I'm 40, I'm like a month or so into being 40, and I'm like, I don't know, like I lack the same passions for certain things that I used to have, you know, like I want to be passionate about things.
Like I miss like being life or death with LSU, but part of it is just getting older and realizing, you know, the quarterback makes $4.5 million.
I will never see $4.5 million for the rest of my life.
So like, the fuck do I care.
If that guy doesn't give as much of a shit, then why do I?
You know, and I guess that's just part of being older, but I don't know, maybe as you get older, things matter a little bit less to you, but you kind of miss that, right?
Like, you miss things mattering to you as much as they once did, you know?
Like, I kind of miss being so mad over LSU that I would throw shit, you know, like, there's a part of me that kind of misses that a little bit, you know?
And then there's a much larger part of me that's like, good, I'm glad I'm not a fucking psycho over this shit anymore, but, you know, I'm watching the game on Saturday.
And now, I will say this, when they were down, you know, they couldn't stop them in the first half.
I was enraged, you know, but then, you know, they cut it closer and they could have, shoulda, would have won it.
And I felt a little bit better after the game.
But I don't know, man.
I mean, maybe that's just the way the world is.
It's the world of 2026, right?
You know, like, like things are not going to be like they were in 2016, 2006, 1996, 1996.
It's just never going to be that way.
You know?
Maybe that's just the way of the way.
world now. Maybe, you know, I got to learn to deal with that, you know, but either way, it was a
fun game and, you know, LSU could or should have won it. I still think there's a long way to go,
you know, in the season. I think they can do a lot of shit. They could lose to A&M. What's wild is
an LSU is an eight and a half point favorite over A&M. Now, granted, I think that's an overreaction
to the fact that A&M got worked pretty good by Kentucky at home. But think about this,
Ole Miss beats LSU and they're an underdog to Florida.
You know, that's just kind of the way this whole fucking thing plays out now.
You know, it's just the way of the world.
But, you know, whatever.
Kind of, it's one of those things where it is what it is.
But it was a good college football weekend,
not like an amazing college football weekend.
There weren't too many amazing games.
But look, I'm just glad fucking football's here, man.
I'm glad that we've got football to watch.
And, you know, the Saints made me happy.
some more NFL stuff here in a second.
Oops, I hit my hand there.
But by speaking of this game, so I get a Facebook post.
I get added on Facebook.
And it was by one of these Jemoke-ass motherfuckers from the Oxford Comedy Collective,
the dudes that we were making fun of the other day for their shitty roast of Lane Kiffin, right?
So I get a post and it's like, you know, ripping me or whatever.
And it goes, and you're, how can you rip us hillbillies?
Well, you're not even smart enough to move away from the desert.
And I'm like, move away from the fucking desert.
What is this guy fucking talking about?
And then I realized that my Facebook page says that I live somewhere in New Mexico.
I forgot where, what random town in New Mexico?
It says I live, but I was fucking around on my Facebook page since I don't really have a home radio station anymore.
I forgot that I had changed the address.
to like some random town in New Mexico.
So I'm like, this guy legitimately just thinks I'm some wacko that's in New Mexico
shitting on their shitty comedy.
And he's like, you're not even smart enough.
And like, this guy probably thought he really had a zinger.
I'm like, brother, I don't even fucking live in New Mexico.
That's just some stupid shit that I put on Facebook.
Because one night when I was hammered playing Yatzy before we started doing this night
stuff, I changed some of my Facebook profile things to just be stupid.
That's why I added that phone number that my boss was.
wouldn't end up letting me use because he's like, well, we can't use a phone number because
I don't know if we have permission to use it. I'm like, well, I like it, but they wouldn't let me use
it. But I was sitting around drunk like the night before that stuff started or I don't
if it was a week or a night or whatever before it started. And I'm like, why don't we just like
make the Facebook page really weird and say I live in some random town like I'm coast to coast
a.m. and I live in the kingdom of nigh or something, you know. And I'm like, well, I live in
random town New Mexico, you know, because of area 51 or whatever.
But so this dip shit, this guy from Ole Miss, this, this comedy collective, this Oxford
comedy collective puts, he's like, you're not even smart enough to move away from the desert.
And then I had, I tried to listen to your podcast, but it was nothing but commercials.
Well, yeah, because I have to make a fucking dollar doing this shit somehow, so I have to dump a bunch
of commercials into it.
Sorry.
But like, this guy is like all in.
raged and he's like, you're not even smart enough to move out of the desert. And I'm like,
motherfucker, you dip shit. I don't live in New Mexico. Now, I can't expect him to know that. He's
some random asshole. And then he's like, well, I'm glad that my, that our little comedy made it
all the way to you in New Mexico. I'm like, motherfucker, like, I saw it on a news story in Baton Rouge,
on something I follow in Baton Rouge. Like, your little thing didn't make it down to New Mexico.
Nobody, first of all, I'm not in fucking New Mexico. Second of all, nobody in New Mexico gives a shit about
when some hillbilly comedians are fucking doing,
making fun of lame kiffin.
Eat shit, you puds.
But I guess he thought he had some real zingers on me there.
He's like, oh, you're not even smart enough to move out of the desert.
I'm like, motherfucker, I don't live in New Mexico,
you stupid jagoff.
I do not live in New Mexico.
But again, I can't say that because it's not like he knows that.
I wouldn't expect him to know that.
But this comedy is extremely unfun.
not entertaining at all.
So all that said, hopefully LSU wins this week.
Hopefully LSU takes down Texas A&M and we get back on the right track.
And then next week I'll explain to you why Sam Levitt is the greatest ever and he loves LSU.
But this week, I've taken LSU losing to Ole Miss and I've turned it into everybody that plays for LSU does not have a passion for LSU.
That's what I do.
