Things the Internet has taught me.
If people disagree with you, you're saying shit for clicks.
If they agree with you, you're smart.
That's number one.
Number two, things that the Internet has taught me is that America just sucks at everything.
That's basically what I've learned from the Internet.
Number three, I've learned that the World Baseball Classic is apparently the greatest thing ever
because they fill up stadiums for a once every couple of years Olympic-type event.
shocker, shocker that people show up for these games.
But I want to get into something regarding this,
because I think I'm on board now.
I think I'm fucking in.
I think I'm ready to just get involved in this.
And we'll get into that after these words.
Getting ready for a game means being ready for anything.
Like packing a spare stick.
I like to be prepared.
That's why I remember 988, Canada's suicide crisis helpline.
It's good to know just in case.
Anyone can call or text for free confidential support from a train responder anytime.
988 Suicide Crisis Hubline is funded by the government in Canada.
Big picture, I do not give two shits about the World Baseball Classic.
But my social media is littered with people who are talking about how the World Baseball Classic is the greatest thing ever.
And it's mostly filled with people finding different ways to shit on the American team.
Like, for instance, the two main things I've seen.
Well, there's a couple of main things I've seen.
One, we're blowing Juan Soto for hitting a walk-off home run against the Netherlands.
And by a walk-off home run, it was a mercy-rule walk-off.
We're going nuts over some guy mercy-ruling the Netherlands in the sixth inning of the game.
Like, cool, what a moment for everything.
This is so special.
Flip your bats and celebrate beating the Netherlands of 12 to 1.
Neat.
but I'm also seeing people shitting on the American outfield guys for their outfield celebration,
which is just saluting each other, right?
Like that's the thing.
Everybody's ripping them because they're not doing all sorts of weird dances and shit like the rest of these countries, which fine.
Do whatever it is you do, right?
Like if that's how you celebrate, that's how you celebrate.
But like the idea that like everything that white people and the U.S. do is just terrible and
uninteresting and unfunny.
And every other country on the planet is the most interesting place ever.
Like that's what social media is now
I've got to get the fuck Twitter
Like it's hard because I use Twitter for my radio show
Now not my own Twitter
A lot of the stuff I see is using the station Twitter
Because that's where I see a lot of the local stuff
Mostly shit that I end up using for sports
On the station
But it's just
Like everything I see
Is that everything American people do is
Awful
And as long as you're in another country
It doesn't matter what the fuck
you do, everything you do is right.
Like, let's ignore the fact that, like, Iran has been a shithole forever and that Iran has
had this, this fascist or what do you want to call it, leadership, been terrible.
Yet because America fucked with them, because Trump fucked with him, somehow Iran is a solid
plays.
And it's the same thing with this baseball shit.
Every country that's played in this world baseball classic that's being shoved down our
throats on social media is the greatest country.
and this is so great.
And this shows that baseball is thriving and healthy.
Ignore the fact that 11 people are going to watch a regular season baseball game.
But this little two-week stretch of baseball here confirms baseball stronger than ever.
But I'm so annoyed by this shit at this point that now I'm fully invested in the U.S. winning the fucking thing.
What are the odds?
Like, are there odds on this, like the odds to win the world baseball classic?
Let's see here.
I don't know if there's live odds on this or not.
Let me go to one of the gambling sites here, as if I wasn't going to do it anyway.
But let's see here.
Let's take a look at, we'll go to Fanduil and see if there are current odds to win the WBC.
Let's see.
First game today is at noon east.
I need to see like big picture to win the whole thing.
Here we go.
The U.S. is still favored to win the damn thing.
the U.S. is minus 1-10 to win the World Baseball Classic.
The Dominicans plus 340, Japan's 4-10.
So for the Dominican to win, you bet 100 you'd win 340.
Honestly, I'd probably take one of those other countries.
If not for the fact that I am locked in now in rooting for America.
Because I'm one of those kind of people that doesn't give a shit
until you start to annoy me about it and you start to shit on America
and you start to shit on everything else.
That's what I get my dandruff.
You think I'd give a shit about hockey?
No.
But I gave a shit about America winning the hockey
because people were fucking annoying me.
And it's the same thing we're dealing with now.
I am locked in on America winning this damn thing
because the people have hit a point where they've annoyed me.
Damn it.
And you know, when you hear LG,
that means I'm locked in.
That means I'm Captain America today.
Please tell me again about a walk-off home run
and a mercy rule.
You know who wins on mercy rules?
Like Little League teams, cool.
Thank my lucky stars to be...
Because the flag still stands for freedom
and they can't take that away.
Yeah, go ahead and mock the U.S. again.
We're going to come out there and kick your ass in baseball too.
We own hockey and now we're about to own baseball.
Now I'm going to watch this stupid baseball game tonight.
I had no desire to watch this shit.
I wasn't invested.
not, I mean, like, I have no interest
in this made up fairy tale
wannabe Olympic event that the internet
is telling you is so great because all the other
countries give a shit in the U.S. doesn't.
Because all Twitter is is anti-America
bullshit. Facts.
That is facts.
Social media is nothing but anti-America,
anti-white people bullshit.
But now what you've driven me to
watching shitty baseball
that I don't care about.
from Detroit
and New York to L.A.
There's pride in every American heart, baby.
Minus 110 for the U.S. to win this whole damn thing.
What's the spread today?
What's the money line today?
Against, let's see.
Who are they playing, Mexico?
Like, oh yeah, the rest of the world is so much better than America.
Mexico's a three and a half run underdog.
So congrats on that.
See, you've driven me.
I've been driven to the point of now carrying about the stupid world baseball classic out of spite.
I'm spite-liking this thing now.
And I won't forget the men who died.
Fender still today.
God bless the USA, brothers and sisters.
Oh, those Americans are so boring.
Yeah.
You know what's going to be boring?
Winning.
Look out Mexico.
We're winning today.
Now, mind you, again, I don't actually give a shit about any of this, but I've been driven
to this point.
I've been driven to the point that these people have hit this level of annoying.
Like, I just had some Philly person, because I keep seeing this video of this Chinese
Taipei team crying after they won one of the games.
Cool, that's nice.
But then I see it everywhere.
Can you believe the passion these guys have this?
I don't give it.
shit. I don't care. Yet somehow, because this is how it is to be an American, we're supposed to act
like we give a shit about stuff that other people care about it, because they care about it,
and we're like the people that, you know, we're the country that everybody strives to be, I guess.
And I'm like, I don't give a shit. Like, good for them. That's a nice moment. And the fairy tale made-up
little tournament here, these guys are crying over this. Well, you know why the guys that play for
Chinese Taipei? This is all they got. Here's a legit question. How many players from
Chinese Taipei are in the majors, currently on an active roster in the majors.
You know who will know the answer?
Gypsy.
Honey?
Gypsy.
Gypsy.
I'm here and ready to roll.
How many players are on major league rosters who are from Chinese Taipei?
For the 2026 MLB season, notable players from
Chinese Taipei includes Sung Che Cheng, who debuted in 2025 and is now with the Red Sox,
and Kai Wei Tang, who debuted in 2024, and is now with the Astros.
Yu Chang, a utility infielder, has previous MLB experience.
Overall, Taiwan's presence in Major League Baseball is growing, and these players reflect
that pipeline.
All right, there you go.
So like two people.
So of course it's a big deal to them.
You know, the American team is all dudes that play.
the bigs. I would imagine the Dominican team
is all dudes that play in the big. Of course
it's a big deal to a place like that. They have
like two dudes that play in the majors.
But again, nuance. Oh,
there's so much they care about it. Yeah, because
ain't nothing else going on in Chinese Taipei
baseball. So like, hey, rock
on. Good for them.
But like, why am I supposed to care that
these guys are crying because they went like, cool.
And then the comment I got from that.
Like, it was like, this guy's just a shithead
who's looking for reaction. No. I'm
literally telling you what I think. And my comment
was like I quote tweeted something and say
these guys were crying and say, I haven't heard.
That was my comment. Hey, hadn't heard.
Hadn't heard that these guys were crying after the game.
I'm seeing it everywhere.
And then the people force feed it on you like you're supposed to give a shit like it's
supposed to impact your life that some guys are crying.
Like good for them.
It matters to them.
Also, there's a lot of events that matter to a lot of people that most people don't give a
shit about.
Like somebody's probably crying over a high school basketball game today that they
care about.
Most of us don't.
And most of us don't give a shit about the outcome of the World Baseball Classic.
Although, now I do.
I care about it now because the Internet has pissed me off.
You've driven me to the point that now I need America to win, and I may even bet on America to win,
because you've annoyed me so much and I don't want you to have any joy.
Because, again, the Internet is just, hey, let's point out all the reasons why America blows.
Well, I'm not going to get down with that.
That's not how I play ball.
Go America.
