Now, team that might be done, maybe the Eagles.
They may be done.
You know, they caught a break today with that tie because it looked like the giants.
And again, the Giants, I don't know how they sustain, right?
I mean, their quarterbacks out for the year, obviously.
I mean, they were damn close to going full on J.J. McCarthy.
They were going to go nine today.
And then James said, no, I got this and start slinging it all around the yard and whatever.
The Eagles loss, I, everything about that game.
is fascinating because you're not good. We know you're not good. We know the offensive line play
isn't very good. We know that everybody's hurt. But what did I tell you going into that? Why,
you want to send me all these DMs about how I was wrong about college games? I'm fairly certain
last week. I said that I would not be shocked if the Eagles went to London and beat Jacksonville,
despite the fact they were big underdogs, despite the fact that everybody's hurt, despite the
fact that everybody's written them off, they're coming off a dreadful, heinous loss, all that. I said,
be shocked if they went to Jacksonville and won.
And again, so much about this game was baffling.
For example, if he wants something truly baffling,
like, because I was listening to the game, I listened to a lot of the game because I was out
and about before all the other games started.
So I was listening to the Eagles calling, I was listening to Merrill.
And I'm listening to the game and they're talking about how great the Eagles defense
play and they made plays time after time.
And yeah, give them credit, okay?
But when you've got a team that's got a first and goal at the one,
and they commit, was it three procedure penalties in a row or two that backed them up to the
fucking 15?
Like, that's not because you're playing good defense.
That's because these guys are just fucking idiots.
That's what they are.
They're fucking morons.
So I'm not going to give the Eagles defense a ton of credit for that.
But all that said, and you know how anemic the offense.
is, you know how bad the offense is, particularly in the second half of games.
Even with all that, you're eight seconds away from winning this game, and it kind of alters
the way people feel about your team because you can sell that, right?
Like, Philly will buy that.
Like, I think that most people, they are kind of smart about the way things are going for
the team.
But I think that for the most part, if you go out and you go on the road, you win a game like
that, it can be sold as you didn't have all your talent.
It was a nightmare situation.
You had to go all the way to London.
And despite that, you still went over there and had to travel to London and all this shit and found a way to win.
And that was coming off that dreadful, heinous, hideous loss to the Rams.
And after getting bludgeoned by the Bears and having to pull off a miracle comeback against the Titans who, as we've discussed,
maybe the worst team in history, even with that, if you go and win that game in Jacksonville,
or in London, if you go win that game,
there's a different taste in the mouths of people.
I think they're smart enough to know that it's not a very good team.
But you can sell, oh, we're three and two.
Oh, that was pretty impressive.
Oh, we're three and two.
The Giants are three, one and one, so we're right there.
And it's a bad division, and Washington stinks,
and Dallas is going to do what Dallas does.
Maybe we back in again, you know?
Like, there's all these things.
Like, you can program people to,
to feel better about it. You certainly feel better about it winning than you do losing.
But with all that, all you've got to do is kick the ball through the end zone and make them have to go with
eight seconds. They have to find a way with eight seconds and no timeouts. They have to find a way.
Say they get the ball at the 35, whatever. They have to find a way to complete a pass,
neither get out of bounds or somehow spike, which you don't have time to do. The only thing
that you cannot allow to have happen is a big return.
And the only way to guarantee you don't get a big return
is to kick the ball through the back of the end zone.
And I get that there's a landing spot, and I get all that.
All you had to do was not let them have a return.
And they got the return.
I'm listening to it on the radio,
and it sounds like they're going to get out of it
because the clock says zero.
Then they put a second back on the clock.
And then what happens?
Guy drills a long-ass kick, ball game over.
Like it, the wheels are off, obviously.
Like, this thing is out of control.
But with, with a day where there were some bizarre losses, the Giants game, like, you talk about ups and downs and ebbs and flows for Washington in that game.
Washington allowed the big comeback.
Then they catch the overtime miracle of the fumble.
So you've got the ball.
You march down.
You get in the field goal range.
And somehow you let the clock run out.
Like, it's shit like that.
But then, like, you look at the Eagles and they're like, no, we can top it.
We'll just somehow with eight seconds to go after all that, after all the bullshit that they went through in that game, after the fact that the offense scored three points in the second half, and that's the only three points they've scored in the last three second halves.
With all that, you win the game and you got a better taste in your mouth, and you're three and two.
And despite the fact all the bullshit, you're still a three and two team and basically in first place.
And you can't do it.
By the way, you'd be chasing the Giants who you still have to play twice.
You know, like you would have been right there.
And you're still right there, inexplicably.
You're still right there because the division, as is usually the case, is a shit show.
But I, you talk about bizarre ways to lose a game.
You're eight seconds away.
And all you have to do is just not let them get a big return.
And I got the big return.
It's, look, they're not good.
We know they're not good, but nobody in that division's good.
So if someone's got to win the division amongst four shitty teams, why not you?
Like, that's kind of got to be the mindset.
Like, there isn't a true great benefit to losing every game the rest of the year, right?
At least at this point.
Because you're going to be chasing a lot of teams because there might be, I don't know if it's possible for all these teams to be winless or not,
because I don't know if any of these oh and four teams play each other,
oh and five teams play each other.
So I haven't looked at their schedules.
I don't fucking know.
you got the who's left is it Miami Chargers and and the Titans I guess are the
O for teams I don't know if they play each other or what but you know so it's not like
you're playing for draft picks at this point if you're the Eagles right you're in it like you
suck but you're in it and you can't just punt the season but it feels that way after a game like
that the last two weeks i mean you talk about having your balls ripped off like you can live with
getting your ass kicked by the bears cool although the bears they're starting to see how the other half
lives too you talk about inexplicable decisions like i like bejant but after case went out and
balled on uh i guess it was monday night football a couple weeks ago just ride that guy and i know
it's easy to say i mean baygent went out and slung in the next week too and they were fine and then
this week it was just dreadful but like they finally got to really get that experience of how
the other half lives on that one.
But the Eagles are disgusting, though.
They're just despicable.
They're just bad.
But even with all that said, you go on the road and you win that game, you're
three and two.
And you're like, all right.
Three and two, basically in first place because of a tie.
You're right there.
And then, you know, you don't.
And then you find a way to lose.
It's just been that kind of fucking run for these dudes, man.
And look, I understand they got flaws.
I understand they got offensive line problems.
And I understand that Jalen Hertz
been to two Super Bowls.
Brother sucks.
I mean, bless his fucking heart,
he ain't good.
Like, I understand all the flaws that the team has.
But there are a lot of teams that have a lot of flaws
and a good quarterback can at least overcome it enough.
You know, the Bengals have had a lot of issues
for a lot of years offensively,
but Joe Burrow finds ways to put up numbers when he's healthy, right?
Like, what we're saying,
seen here is not just bad.
Offensively, they're pathetic.
They're inept.
And I'm aware that the weapons are hurt.
And I'm aware there's no Devante Smith.
I'm aware that it's easier to defend these guys with the way they're currently set up.
And the offensive line play is terrible.
And there are no receivers.
I get all that.
But the quarterback ain't doing you any favors.
Because when you got the opportunity to make good throws, a lot of times he ain't
making good throws.
That means he can't.
That means he doesn't.
But a lot of times when you have the opportunity to make the throws,
Homeboy doesn't get the job done.
Homeboy's got the chance to make good, and I'm listening to this game.
I listen to the whole second half, basically, in the car.
And I'm listening to this.
And these are not like, these aren't situations a lot of the times
where you're talking about a guy that's getting hurry and running for his life and shit,
and some of them are, but not all of them.
And he's just missing dudes.
And basically what you've got is you've got a dude that when everything is perfect,
and you've got 2,000 yard running back and Hall of Famers on the offensive line and your tush pushing and all that.
And the defensive guys are wearing dog masks and shit.
Like when everything's perfect, things go well.
But when everything isn't perfect, what do you get from Jalen Hurts?
And not even, I get that things are a lot less than perfect right now.
But what you're getting is shit.
like the last three weeks or so of offense
I mean they're pretty comparable
to the type of offense you're getting kid from like
I mean we're talking about an offense like you're getting from the Titans
I know we're back to the Titans again
like I'm genuinely curious this is going into this week of course
so I don't think these stats have updated but
let's see 2026 Philadelphia Eagles
let's see here let's see where they rank offensively going into this week
and again I don't think these have updated because they
haven't updated all the shit on the, uh, on pro football reference.
I mean offense, bro, they're 26th and points scored.
They're 29th in yards.
I mean, you're not that far off from being the Titans,
except you got a couple wins because you beat the Titans.
Oh, man.
Not great.
Not great at all.
