Good morning, friends. What's going on? About 4.35 in the morning, eastern time here in Detroit, Michigan. and I am glad to be with you this morning. I was drinking yesterday because that's what I do on Sundays, and I got a late start. I didn't start until after 5 o'clock. But had a nice time, played some Yahti. The weather here is so phenomenal right now. It's wild, though.

When the sun's out, it still feels pretty hot. I feel like the sun is just hotter than it used to be. I think I've had this talk with you guys everywhere I've lived outside of Texas, whether it be in St. Louis, Nashville, or here. It feels like the sun is hotter than it used to be. Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. But like, it's 70-something degrees yesterday and amazing.

And when it was overcast, it was downright cold. But then when the sun was out, it was hot. Like we were outside and Jilly kept taking a shirt off, putting her shirt back on. Hello. Just constantly. Because if the sun came out, it was hot. If the sun went behind the clouds, it was cold. So, but anyway, this is a phenomenal, phenomenal.

weather place. And I'm sure what you'll say is, yeah, you say that until it snows. And you're like, yeah, you're right. It is. At this very moment, Detroit is amazing weather-wise. Not dealing with any heat, really. I mean, we had a stretch, but outside of that, I mean, look, it's the start of football season. It's the start of college football season. Really, it gets going this weekend. But last, you know, Saturday, we had some games as well. A couple of, like, nice games, a couple of matchups that were nice, right? Most notably, you had Kansas State and Iowa State. But weather-wise, like it feels like football, then this weekend you've got football, and we're ready to go. but I'm going to miss betting on pre-season football. It's maybe because, it happens for such a short period of time. You get like a month to bet on preseason football. I don't know why I love it so much. I think it's because you get all-time goat status backup quarterbacks that go out there and sling and pick up all these yards. You know, guys like, I mean, just go down the list of these dudes that we watch play,

but most notably, like Tyson Bajent. Tyson Bajent is an all-time Mount Rushmore preseason quarterback. But then we saw guys that slung it around pretty good too. You know, for the most part, Quinn Ewers was pretty good, although the Dolphins didn't get to their yardage total, I don't believe, this weekend for me. But Quinn Ewers is down in Miami. I mean, you look at some of these backup quarterbacks. Tommy DeVito. Tommy DeVito was legendary status.

But really, it was Jackson Dart. And I can't speak enough about Jackson Dart and how in love with Jackson Dart I am. I've got it bad for Jackson Dart. Hang up and you call right back. Like, I've got it super bad for this guy. I think this dude's going to be a legend. That's why when I hear all these people bitching about Shadur Sander, Shadur Sander, oh, why'd they take Shadur Sanders out?

Like, the best is that there is a large group of people who are of the belief that the Browns deliberately set him up to fail and that they call different plays for different quarterbacks that will be successful, but they call different plays for him. It's bonkers. But look, I fell for it. I fell for the whole thing. I bet on the Brown's receiving yards on Saturday. I'm thinking, all right, Shadur is going to get in there.

He's going to probably play most of the game. He's going to sling it around a little bit. Turns out he played a good bit of the game and was terrible and was running for his life and did all of the bad shit he did in college. Like, there was a lot of good shit that Shadur did. You can get away with it in college. But there was a lot of good shit he did. You know, like you run around for an hour trying to get away from a sack,

then miraculously throw it 60 yards down the field. Like, that happened in college. It was not happening in the preseason in the NFL for this dude. Took a lot of sacks, and they essentially benched him. Now, I will say this, Snoop Huntley is going nowhere, right? Like, we would agree with that. Like, Snoop Huntley is a nobody in the league. Snoop Huntley is a career backup for the most part.

They bring in Snoop Huntley to run the two-minute drill at the end of the game, and Shudur's pissed off. And I will say this. you know that Snoop Huntley is never going to be the guy for you. You're probably pretty confident that Shudur is never going to be the guy for you, but you don't know that. And does it prove a ton to march a team down the field in preseason? No, okay? There were some great preseason drives like game winners,

awesome drives that people put together to win games. And ultimately, it don't mean much, right? It's preseason football, who really gives a shit? But if you're going to draft the guy, and you know that like he might be a guy for you in the future and you know that snoop huntly isn't a guy for you in the future then wouldn't he behoove you to leave him in the game and just see what he can do now i am glad you didn't because and again everything comes back to gambling everything for me because now that i can gamble anytime i want i'm a live betting machine it is my passion i love live betting i look would it be better if i had a you know a better passion or a more um kosher passion would it be better if my passion were like gardening or lifting weights or running or painting or something would it be better if those were my passions sure but my passion is live betting on sports not very rarely do I put a bet in before something starts that's why like the prop bets are going to be tough this year because

my ass is going to live bet them so much now I will continue to give you guys prop to you drop because I've actually gotten messages from people saying hey are you going to be dropping prop to your drops this year. And the answer is yes, I will be doing prop to you drop because I love prop bets. I love live betting. I love football betting. I have a passion for it. I am passionate about this shit. But back to Shudur, like the fact that they didn't play him in that last two minutes was dumb, I guess, but like it was good for me because I jumped in on a live bet on the live over in the game. Basically, I needed one more point in the game, which means it was going to come down to whether or not Cleveland scored or not, and Cleveland gets a couple of penalties.

They didn't really do much, but they got a couple of penalties, got into field goal range, kicked a field goal, boom, I hit that one. Also, talk about a miracle. So I bet on this Avery Johnson, arguably the least attractive person to ever play quarterback. You think about the quarterback position, and generally speaking, you associate the quarterback position with, like, good-looking, all-American, like, salt of the earth, but, like, dreamy, dates the cheerleader, right? Like, you think of good-looking dude as a quarterback, right?

Like, you look at certain dudes, and you're like, they look like a quarterback because they're just a good-looking dude. And, by the way, race doesn't matter in this, because Cam Newton, very good-looking dude, right? Like, there are dudes. It could be a Cam Newton. It could be a Tom Brady. It could be, you know, whomever. Josh Allen.

Like, generally speaking, dudes that play quarterback are good-looking dudes, and they have a quality. Now, there are exceptions. What was Colt McCoy's brother's name? Like, that dude was not, that looked like, Timah, which one? Okay. A case, was that his name? Now, not everyone is a good-looking person at quarterback. There are exceptions, and one of them is Avery Johnson, who is just not an appealing human to look at.

I say that as someone who knows I am also not appealing, but I may be more. more appealing than Avery Johnson. Just not an appealing person. But Avery Johnson, I took to throw it for 275. Actually, it was to pass and run for a combined, like, 279 yards. And we went to the movies on Saturday. And it was halftime when the movie started. This dude had like 70-something yards total, I think at halftime. I'm like, well, that's a dud. I'm not going to hit that. Going to the movies, come out two hours later, because Freakier Friday, for some reason, was a two-hour movie. And I come back out. I check my phone. I see that the game got good. It was 24 to 21 was the final. And I see that Homeboy ended up throwing for damn near 300 yards

while passing and rushing for over 300 yards damn near. So I hit that one. So boy, we were off and running. There was just, I mean, look, even shitty college football, like you look at some of the matchups that we had. Stanford and Hawaii. Boy, I fell victim of all the people hyping up the quarterback at Hawaii. Now, in his defense, the student in Hawaii got hurt early in the game and was never really the same. But they did win the game against Stanford and he stayed in the game. I needed that game to go to overtime to hit a couple of overs that didn't work out. That was a ball buster. Look, I had some ball busters this weekend, too. Like, um, live betting can give and it can take away, okay? So I was in a situation. I think it was Tampa. Tampa was on the verge

of scoring to put the game near the over, okay? I think it was like they needed to score and kick the extra point for the game to hit the over. I think it was 23 to 19. They needed to kick an extra point to make it 23 to 20. Mind you, there is no overtime in preseason. So whatever. So I guess their thought process was, let's go for two. Well, I needed the, them to kick the fucking extra point. I think what it was is I had them plus three and a half. I needed them to kick the extra point to get to get three down to be inside the plus three and a half. And they went for two instead and they missed it and I lost. I had some ball busters this season and preseason football. But I got to tell you kids, betting on preseason football is such

a joyful time. And here we are, we're what, less than two weeks away from the start of the NFL. We got drama everywhere. We got Shiloh Sanders getting cut after punching a dude in the helmet. Who punches a dude in the helmet? Who does that shit? Like you should get cut just for being dumb enough to punch a dude on a piece that's wearing a hard piece of plastic on his head. You will not win that fight. That is an unwinnable fight if you punch a dude in the helmet. You are clearly a dipshit. You deserve to be cut for being a dipshit. That's one. Have we heard yet if what the status is of Shudur? I mean, the Browns have 14 quarterbacks.

So I don't know what their situation is if he's gotten cut or what's going to happen. Now, Shudurr seems to be pretty positive that he's going to make the team. But I don't know what they're going to do there because they have 14 quarterbacks. One of them being Joe Flacco, who I love, because Joe Flacco is a good guy to bet for passing yards. Keep him in mind, week one. We'll see what his number set at. but like Dylan Gabriel look pretty freaking good. If you compare the two of them, who was better this preseason?

Dylan Gabriel was obviously a better choice. So what happens with Shadur Sanders? I don't know. Now, if he doesn't make it, what you're going to deal with is the cries of racism because Shadur Sanders is New Kaepernick. So no matter what happens, this dude will be 50 years old and people are going to say he didn't get fair opportunities and that if he gave him a shot right now, we'd go out there and sling.

But that's the Brown situation. I'm here in Detroit. They're all antsy about the backup quarterback who's obviously going to be Kyle Allen and Hendon Hooker, who a lot of people had big hopes for, a guy that if he wouldn't have gotten hurt at Tennessee very well, could or should have been a Heisman trophy winner or certainly a finalist. But Hendon Hooker is probably out of Dodge now. They haven't announced that officially yet, but he's probably out in Detroit.

And by the way, it's not like he was drafted high and had high expectations. It's not like he was, you know, a first-round pick, but he was a third-round pick. And if he doesn't get hurt at Tennessee, as I said, should have, coulda-woulda, the dude was on the way to being a Heisman finalist. He's been the SEC player the year offensively before. So the guy was a beast in college and was fun in Josh Heipel's offense. It has not materialized. Now, he was never going to be the starter here.

He was always going to be the guy that they wanted to be the backup. And I think when you draft a guy in the third round at quarterback, you will want him to be the backup. You want him to be firmly entrenched in that backup role. Problem is, he's not because he's never done a fucking thing. So he ain't very good. He's dreadful. So he's probably going to get cut, and Kyle Allen's going to be the backup here.

It seems that things got better for our boy down in Houston as well. After the first week where Graham Mertz was God awful, Graham Mertz now was slinging it around a little bit and playing better. Couldn't play any worse. So Graham Mertz kind of showed out a little bit. so good for him. And then all the guys in the Giants, the giant situation is fascinating because you know Rusty Wilson is going to be the starter, but how long is the leash for Rusty?

Do they consider going to Jackson Dart early in the season if Russ continues to suck? Dable's job is on the line? Like, I'm not convinced that like we've seen the last of Jackson Dart this year. And as you know, I'm in love with Jackson Dart, not like, full on, full-blown, tell your parents, get a venue. I am in love with Jackson Dart. And if I'm wrong, I'll say I'm wrong. But I think Jackson Dart is an absolute stud.

And again, it's preseason. Just compare him to what Cam Ward is doing. Like Cam Ward, the number one overall pick. And he's been terrible for the most part in the preseason. Nothing special. Shudur Sanders gets all the hype in the world. Shudur Sanders sucks for the most part in the preseason. And here's Jackson Dart, just chilling, lying in the weeds, goes to New York.

not really a huge story, kind of like an afterthought, because he gets drafted number 25 and all the talk is Shudur, Shudur, Shudr, Shudr. Cam goes number one. All the talk is Shudur, Shudr, Dylan Gabriel gets drafted. He's kind of a story because the Browns are taking Dylan Gabriel. Why not Shudur? Then they take Shudur, so why did you take Gabriel and Shudur? Like so many storylines in the draft. And then there's Jackson Dart just hanging out at number 25 and ready to go. And I'm telling you, this dude is going to be a rock star. and if Rusty is as crappy as we think Rusty's going to be, they're going to have to make a change.

I find it hard to believe that, I guess they'll keep three quarterbacks. I don't know that he'll be the backup, right? Because they have Jamis. They have Tommy DeVito. It's probably the end of the road for old Tommy Cutlets. But thank you, Tommy Cutlets, for slinging for all those yards and helping your boy out this preseason. Thank you very much.
