So, you know, I was talking about people whining about refs and shit.
And this is kind of one of those things that you experience with, you know,
looking at the Internet far too often because the Internet will put you in a horrible mood
and social media will put you in a horrible mood.
And what you'll end up thinking is that everyone sucks.
And maybe everybody doesn't suck, but the Internet makes you believe everyone sucks
because the dregs of society are all over the Internet.
And it's just nothing but whine, wine, wine, wine, and all the world's out to get us.
And it's just the worst of the worst of people.
like everybody's in some sort of race war with each other over something like yesterday
obviously like jalen hertz played a bad football game yesterday played a bad last you know
three quarters the game was trash now the rain plays a factor i get all that right so like it's
not like if all things are perfect and the weather is perfect and you're playing inside who the
fuck knows what jelan hertz ends up doing right so again take that for what it is right and they
didn't need a ton out of them although i mean look they were one fucking throw one the one the
one good throw away from winning the game.
But still, I'm talking about Buffalo now.
But actually, hold on.
Before I get into this, let me play a couple commercials and we'll roll.
But it's just fascinating to me because people can't just view other people as, like, for who they are as a person.
It either has to be about gender or race or whatever.
Let me give you an example.
So, Jalen Hertz plays like shit.
And they win. So, of course, like, anytime your guy wins, you can write off the fact that they played like shit by saying,
all it matters is you got the win. Even though, like, Jalen Hurts, they didn't complete a pass in the second half.
They probably didn't, based on their offensive performance, they didn't deserve to win the game.
I'd make an argument that the bills, I hate doing this, but the bills gave up the game more than the Eagles took the game.
Like, the Eagles defense is nasty. The Eagles offense is shit, and it's been shit for most of the year.
We know that it's been shit.
So like this isn't anything new.
There's nothing like new,
no new developments have sprung up
as it relates to the Eagles offense.
We know they've stunk.
We've watched it.
Offensively, they're very hit or miss.
There are moments where they are fantastic,
but for the most part,
they've been a very mid-offense throughout the year.
But what's funny is somehow we've created this world
where like Jalen Hertz is shit on relative to Josh Allen.
And I'm guessing that's because of a white-black thing
would be my guess.
because, like, people shit on Josh Allen pretty frequently
about how the guy doesn't win the big game
and he always finds a way to lose to Pat Mahomes and all that.
Like, it's not like Josh Allen just skates by
with no criticism being heaped upon him.
This guy gets criticized all the fucking time.
But somehow these people who are Jalen Hertz people
have, like, turned themselves into this group
that's like anytime someone else isn't getting criticized
and Jalen Hertz is, it's like,
oh, I bet they won't.
criticize the golden boy Josh Allen, will they? Well,
Josh Allen, like, gets criticized all the fucking time.
Just because you don't see it because you live in your little cocoon, and this is the one
time of year that you get to watch Josh Allen play because he's playing your team, and
then it becomes, oh, nobody wants to be critical of Josh Allen. Literally, the world is
critical of Josh Allen. Josh Allen is known as a bridesmaid, not a bride. So I'm sorry that
your quarterback who Newsflash isn't all that fucking good, that your quarterback,
who's won the Super Bowl and been to two of them doesn't get the love that you think he deserves fine
I'm sorry I hate that for you I wish better things were happening for you but like to like basically take your guy not getting the love and turn it into this guy is getting all the love look Josh Allen is a more talented fucking quarterback than your quarterback there does your quarterback win because of the situation yes if if if Josh Allen had the Eagles defense like six of those
times against Pat Mahomes, guess what would have happened? He'd probably be in the Super Bowl
and probably would have won one. And that's totally okay, right? Like, it is totally okay to sit here
and go, you know what, our guy gets by, he makes some big plays, but our guy is benefiting
greatly from the other side of the ball. There's no crime in saying that. It's not factually
inaccurate. Does your man make plays when he has to? Yes, I don't think Jalen Hurts sucks. I
I think Jalen Hertz is fine, but there is not one general manager in the NFL who would take
Jalen Hertz over Josh Allen, not one for the quarterback position.
If it were just who is the more talented guy, who is the better overall quarterback?
There is not one.
Now, situation matters, doesn't it?
Right?
The situation is important.
Fit is important.
Because what's interesting is there's not a world where I would part.
ways with Jalen Hertz if I were the Eagles, right? Even though the Eagles would tell you,
they'd say, you know what? As it turns out, I mean, I mean, look, if you shot them all up with
truth serum, if you went to Nick Seriani and were like, would you prefer to have Josh Allen or
Jalen Hertz? He'd say, Josh Allen. But sometimes the fit is just perfect and it works and it makes
sense. And it's, that's fine. There's no crime in that. But like turning everything into some like,
Like, it's the same thing with Shadur Sanders.
It's the same thing with, like, what we end up with is just people fighting each other over
shit that has nothing to actually do with football.
Shedars Sanders had, like, a good drive in the game against the Steelers yesterday.
But because Shudur Sanders won the game and didn't really play particularly well, it's,
oh, look who beat Big Bad Aaron Rogers.
It's like, yes, he won because he gets the winner the loss because he's the quarterback.
But they did not win the game because Shadurdera Sanders was some sort of stud.
But nobody lives in a world where they're capable.
of just like, again, nuance. People don't live in a world of nuance. Nuisance doesn't exist in our
little universe here. People refuse to operate in a world of nuance. So everything's either the
greatest thing you've ever seen or the worst thing you've ever seen. This player's either
the greatest player you've ever seen or the most overrated player you've ever seen. And that's
how this shit goes. And it never changes. And the internet highlights that even more. So what you
end up seeing is the internet which social media is built to pit people against one another that's
what the algorithm is for that's why they show you shit that they know is going to piss you off
because you're going to engage with it if it pisses you off and and that's going to get the
engagements up and the clicks up and it's going to keep you locked in and addicted to this shit
but what i've learned and looking at the internet for the times that i've looked at the internet
which is way too much is we are exposed to the dumbest people on the planet and that
never changes. These people are just morons. And when I say these people, I mean people fighting each
other on the internet over dumb shit. Like I don't know how, even if you're an Eagles fan, I don't know
how you come out of that game yesterday going, Jalen hurts, baby, he's better than Josh Allen. Like,
look, Josh Allen lost the fucking game. Josh Allen hasn't been to two Super Bowls. But as we've talked
about before, there are guys who've won Super Bowls and been to Super Bowls who nobody would
mistake for all-time great players.
You know, what's his name?
Trent Dilfer is the obvious one.
Trent Dilfer is a guy who's won a Super Bowl,
but no one's going to mistake Trent Dilfer for an all-time great player.
Like you can't just fall back on, well, this guy went to the Super Bowl.
Josh Allen hasn't been to a Super Bowl.
Big fucking deal.
Charles Barkley's an all-time great player.
Never won the championship.
Shit happens, bro.
Sometimes this sort of shit just happens,
and you're not always going to win these games.
and that's life right like sometimes you just lose sometimes the storm is perfect now there are guys
who who make the plays and with him Patrick Mahomes is a unique person in that Patrick Mahomes is
a special dude who finds ways to win not everybody does it Josh Allen who is a wood dude
is Josh Allen the best quarterback in the league right now maybe not maybe did Josh Allen whiff
on that pass yeah was the guy wide open yes should he have made the throw yes he didn't
who gives a shit he missed it it's life life goes on
I don't know.
And I know that I talk about this a lot on the pod
that you guys probably get sick of hearing about it.
But like just the way people react to shit on the internet.
And the way, and it's not just random assholes.
Because the internet's filled with random assholes.
And like you kind of have a different expectation for random assholes, you know?
Like random Jemokes who have no coping skills, fans, people like that, you know.
What's bothering me is the way this is seeping into the, the,
the legit media world people who are considered media people like it's starting to seep into that
world and it's starting to become more unbearable because these people are becoming more unbearable
because now they're just you know engagement farming and they're diving into this shit and they can't
look at anything with any semblance of nuance and it's just like this guy is the greatest ever
this guy is the worst ever oh like and you can always see shit coming like you can you know what
people are going to be able to do to draw people into this shit right into this lame ass world like
you know what people are going to be able to do and you know what angles to take to piss people off
and look you can shit on me and say you say this all the time but it's true it is frustrating as
someone who consumes sport that everything now in 2025 is determined by gender is determined
by race like it can't just be that maybe Josh Allen is better like I saw something the other day
um I think it was the tyro by the way you want to see some obnoxious fucking videos so this guy
tyrone who used to work at 97 5 so I guess he works with Craig carton on some podcast
dude dude like he sounds like Ike Reese like very deep voice
and like and every one of their posts has this angry sound to it it's like and it's it's like
lame ass takes that no one cares about but one of them was like you know who's the best white
player ever now is nicole yokic like who gives a fuck like why does that matter you know what the
best white player ever is now nicole yokech he surpassed larry bird it's almost like he did the
take because he was way like he wanted white people to be pissed off about something that there's
no way white people are actually going to be pissed off about like i've never met a white person
who's like wait a minute don't you dare disparage larry fucking bird like no one cares but that's
all these people do now at these these videos and shit they post is we're rage baiting like
it's okay to say that you know what like not every game is a referendum not every game every play
every drive is a referendum right not every play is changing the world
Not every situation is doing that, right?
So, like, yesterday's game, to me, prove nothing about Josh Allen
and prove nothing about Jalen Hertz.
There was nothing that I learned about Josh Allen that I didn't already know.
Guy missed a throw, shit happens.
I don't use one game to determine people that have that kind of body of work.
Same thing can be said with, like, Jalen Hertz has done enough in his career
where one game isn't going to change my opinion.
I think that's the biggest thing I take away from people.
is we allow one game, one situation,
one drive to determine too often
how we feel about someone
and whether or not we think that person is great, bad, or whatever.
That's the part that pisses me off.
Josh Allen's, who Josh Allen is as a player,
did not change yesterday.
Josh Allen has won enough clutch games
where you know what, you're going to lose some of them.
Sometimes you miss the three-pointer and you lose the game.
Shit happens.
I've seen enough of Jalen Hertz
or I'm still skeptical of whether
or not the guy is an elite player, but he's been to two Super Bowls,
so who gives a fuck if I think he's an elite player?
Does he find ways to go?
Does he ride his defense?
Who gives a fuck?
Like, too often we let one game, one play, one drive, one throw, one shot,
completely alter the way we look at shit.
And I find that to be annoying.
Like, that's the most annoying thing.
Like, and I know that I'm on an island here because most people want to judge
everything in one felt like one every moment is its own little world and it changes how good
someone is in a moment and i i don't believe in that i'll never believe in that i think that's
bullshit i just think that's fucked up so i'm not going to do that right but anyway now you know uh
all right so let's uh continue
