So this Mark Sanchez story is wonderful, isn't it? Like, yesterday you wake up. I guess technically it would have been Saturday, right? Saturday night, this all went down. So you hear the story about how Mark Sanchez got stabbed and you're like, holy shit. Like, that's the mean streets of downtown Indianapolis. Like, there was a whole negative vibe about this. Like, you know, Indianapolis, not a safe place to go at night.

Stabbing downtown, blah, blah, blah. Then as it turns out, Mark Sanchez got stabbed because he was like trying to steal someone's truck or something like, as the details started to emerge yesterday, it was like, holy shit, this thing's wild. Let's actually break this thing down here a little bit. So let's read the story after these words. Just a wild story. So let's see here.

Headline reads, ex-Jet's quarterback Mark Sanchez acted erratically, body-slamed truck driver before being stabbed in Indianapolis. This is fantastic. So he was acting erratically, reeked of booze, and was slurring his words when he body slammed an elderly grease truck driver just before he was stabbed in the chest in Indianapolis. The 69-year-old driver said he stabbed Sanchez several times in self-defense after the attack, telling cops, quote, this guy is trying to kill me. So he was out at a bar, and the details are this. So he's the guy who got stabbed, actually, the 69-year-old dude is in the hospital. He's got a neck brace.

He's bloodied and bruised. Quote, his family says he was cut in the fight and went through his cheek and hit his tongue, said Fox 59 anchor Angela Gennote. The former NFL pro stunk of alcohol and was slurring his words when he confronted the grease truck driver who requires hearing aids. Mark Sanchez beat up a dude that requires hearing aids because he's 70. PT did not have his hearing aids in because his truck is very loud when he's exchanging the frying oil for the hotel. So he had to lean in close to Mr. Sanchez to hear him. When PT leaned in, he stated that Mr. Sanchez's smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred. Sanchez 38 was charged with battery resulting in an injury, public intoxication,

and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle for his alleged role in the incident in which he was stabbed by the driver. The retired quarterback who spent four seasons as the Jets, now Fox Sports Analyst, was in town for the Raiders Colts game on Sunday. Let's see. What began as a disagreement between a 38-year-old former professional athlete and a 69-year-old man should not have escalated into violence or left anyone seriously injured. As with any case, we will follow the facts and the law wherever they lead. Sanchez got into, let's see, Sanchez just see.

So prior to the dispute, Sanchez was doing wind sprints in the alley behind the Lohmiller's Pub and Eatery in downtown Indianapolis where he was drinking and acting erratically. Video from the neighboring Indianapolis Marriott Downtown Hotel show Sanchez approaching and opening the driver's door of the truck, speaking to the driver and then walking over to the security office doors of the hotel. The pair then had another interaction before Sanchez started following the driver who was seen backing away according to the footage. Quote, Sanchez is seen running after the man and the video shows Mr. Sanchez grabbing

and throwing the man towards the wall of the Weston. The fight then continued in the alley between a large dumpster and the truck before the 6'2-2-2-130-pound Sanchez through the elderly driver to the ground. Mr. Sanchez is seen throwing the man to the ground at the west side of the alley, they affidavit alleged. A witness who saw the altercation thought the pair were friends until they saw they were recording each other on their cell phones. So that's another thing I enjoy is that it was like, wait a minute,

We're going to fight each other, but first let's get out our cell phone so we can have evidence of who started this and who's responsible for this. The Greece Disposal driver, who was initially incorrectly reported to be a DoorDash delivery driver, boy, now that would have been something if Mark Sanchez would have stabbed a DoorDash guy. That's something that's near and dear to my heart being that I've worked in the field. I've been in the line of fire. I've been there before working in the DoorDash world. That's always one of our fears that we get stabbed by a shitty ex-quarterback, so I'm glad to see that's not what happened here. It was just a guy, you know, who drives a truck and, you know, disposes of used grease.

Let's see, the grease disposal driver, who was initially incorrectly described as a DoorDash driver, told the police he used his Mace on Sanchez, but the former NFL quarterback kept attacking. Think about how drunk you have to be for Mace to not work. My man was so blitzed, like he was that level of drunk where he was like, it hulked up to the point that Mace. Mark Sanchez could not be stopped even by Mace. My man could be stopped by the shittiest of defensive football players when he was in the league. But he cannot be stopped by Mace when he's hammered. What a man this Mark Sanchez is. He is like Michael Myers.

I maced him six times. And he just kept coming back. Why won't you die? He said he stabbed Sanchez two or three times, at which point the former athletes stared at him with a look of shock before turning around and heading off up the alley. It's like, you stabbed me, you son of a bitch. That's not how this is supposed to go. It's one thing for you to mace me. It is another thing for you to get weapons out.

I can handle mace. You don't stab somebody in an alley fight. What are you doing, man? Police found a trail of blood in the alleyway and discovered Sanchez in Lowe Miller's Pub and eatery, a bar next to the alley. So my man got stabbed, went back to the bar. Do you think he went back to continue drinking? like he's like maybe i can drink the pain from this stabbing away i have been stabbed multiple times look i don't need to go to the hospital i refuse medical treatment i just need another

All he can remember is grabbing for a window, said Detective Christopher Edwards, who interviewed Sanchez. He did not know who stabbed him or where the attack happened. My man was so hammered. Like, again, that sounds like the kind of shit somebody on bath salts would do. Like, I can't recall, like, I don't remember ever being so hammered that I got into an

alley fight with a 69-year-old driver of a truck and don't remember doing any of it. Now, I have drink enough many times to, you know, like, hey, I don't remember what happened last night, but I passed out on the couch. I have never had a situation where I've consumed so much alcohol that I got into a street fight with someone, got stabbed, then went back to the bar after being stabbed and have no recollection of anything that happened. He did not know who stabbed him or where the attack happened. He was charged after police reviewed area surveillance video and spoke with the driver of the grease disposal truck, the law enforcement source.

said. An initial hearing has not yet been set in the case. Sanchez was removed from Sunday's broadcast. Okay. Friday night in Indianapolis, one of our, okay, no, we don't need all those details. Like, whoa. Like, I just, I don't recall, like, look, I've gotten good and hammered times. Look, I'm not proud of this. But there are times you get hammered at the bar and you still drove home and it's a miracle that you made at home because you're like, I don't know where the fuck I parked my car. Like, I've done that. I'm not proud of it. It's not something I do as, you know, an elder statesman of the drinking game now. But when you're 22, 23, and you go out and you party at the bar,

and then you're like, fuck, and I'm just going to drive home. And then you're fortunate you didn't kill yourself or anybody else. I have been there before. I do not celebrate that. I am not proud of that. Although I will give myself a little bit of credit as being an excellent drunk driver, but I do not urge people to drive drunk. You should never drive drunk.

There are Ubers. There are other options. There's no reason for you to ever be behind the wheel of a car after you've been drinking. that said, I have never been hammered to the point that I have fought with someone and don't remember fighting with them. And I have never been so drunk that Mace could not subdue me in a fit of rage. Think about that for a second. My man was so hammered and feeling so invincible that this dude maced him multiple times.

Like apparently when Mark Sanchez gets like to a certain level of hammered, he becomes Michael Myers. This dude is unstoppable. I stabbed him six times and then I maced him six more times. Get him. Holy shit, dude. And like usually that's the kind of story you hear about like in Florida because some guys hopped up on bath salts. Like if you would have told me that was some guy that was hopped up on bath salts and like trucker pills from the gas station in Sarasota, Florida, I'd be like, okay. That's not even an interesting story. But it's Mark Sanchez, USC, New York Jets. When you hear about it being a celebrity like that, it totally changes the game.

Now you're like, holy shit, celebrities, they're just like your garden variety bath salt users. Fuck, dude. Like, in a way, I'm sort of impressed. I'm not impressed by the fact that your fighting 69-year-old grease truck driver guys. Like that I'm not impressed with. Like, look, you're a 38-year-old guy. This guy's 30 years your senior.
