Starting point is 00:00:00 All righty. Let's see here. There's drama in Philadelphia, because there's always drama in Philadelphia. Let's be fair, because drama just, it survives longer in Philadelphia than anywhere. It's pretty fascinating, actually, how the drama works there. But it's A.J. Brown drama, because what is new? Of course, it's A.J. Brown drama. Let's play this audio of A.J. Brown playing a Madden on live stream. man was really going ham on his poor offensive numbers with this eagle's offense. So this is fun. Let's play the audio after this commercial break. All right. Let's see here. Let's play this audio of A.J. Brown. So basically, he's playing Madden and he's looking at the numbers that he puts up on Madden.
Starting point is 00:00:55 That's the number. That ahead. Nine from 168. Two tough. Oh. Daddy. Daddy. Yeah, he's it.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Hi, Daddy. Hi, Daddy. Well, that got to be cool as hell, bro. Like, you be like, bro, like, your son's seeing you, like, on a game, bro. Like, that's actually living, bro. I'll tell you, bro. That's the only how, like, other damn football I'm being living right now. Hey, really, look.
Starting point is 00:01:25 Sunday chat. So there's that. And then there is the one that's. really got people going. If you got me on fantasy, get rid of me. Let's see here. And I ain't true. Hey, hey. If you got me on fantasy, man, get rid of me. So there, there is A.J. Brown. So he's obviously not happy because when is A.J. Brown ever happy? Let's be fair. A.J. Brown is not pleased most of the time. But I will say this, that I get it. I understand it. I get it 100%. This is a crappy situation. You want to put up numbers? You're not putting up numbers. The Eagles offense is unwatchable. So let's see here. Here is A.J. Brown, I guess this was yesterday. Here we go. Let's make sure we got the audio there.
Starting point is 00:02:17 Last year, what it was. Thank you for the ring. But it's a new season. They adapt it. We have to adapt. And we have to continue to get better and try to find new ways. So that's what a frustration comes in. Because it's not about winning, you guys. Like, I want to win, yes. I want to help contribute as well, do our thing on offense as well. I think that's fair. So that was A.J. Brown. That's certainly an odd thing to say, well, it's not about winning.
Starting point is 00:02:46 That is certainly a move, right? That is certainly a move to say it's not about winning. So look, your boy is all over the. the plays with this stuff man like he's uh every other week it's something there's a lot of drama here but uh let's see if we got any better audio of that let's see here in my situation with the fact that he's certainly it's not it's not just solely about my situation i mean guys like obviously i want to win too you know and i think if we're if we're really focusing on winning doing our job like you can't just keep slapping the band-aid
Starting point is 00:03:21 over the defense doing their job and getting us out of trouble At what point we're going to pick up our slack as an offense that we're saying we're so great. You know, and that's what I'm getting there. It's not about we're not winning or I don't care about winning. All I care about is snack and step. No, it's been week after week sometimes. We're not contributing. We're not doing our job in office.
Starting point is 00:03:43 So you can't just keep slapping a Band-Aid over it. You expect to win late in a year. I don't think he's going to go to it in a year. It's not going to fucking happen. It's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. You know, last year, what it was, thank you for the ring. But it's a new season.
Starting point is 00:03:57 They adapt it. We have to adapt and we have to continue to, like, get better and try to find new ways. So that's where the frustration comes in. Because it's not about winning, you guys. Like, I want to win, yes. And he'll contribute as well. Do our thing on offense as well. I think that's fair.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I'm on his side. I'm on his side on that. And I say that as someone who despises, hates, hates watching the Eagles play football. Because their offense is so unwatchable. so terrible and I hate them very much so I say this from a place of hey I really despise this but I mean their offense isn't good like they're winning games and I'm trying to think of a good example of this so back in my day back when I was a back when I was a chiefs fan like as a kid growing up in 2003 the chiefs had a year that they started out I want to say eight no and they kept
Starting point is 00:04:51 kind of finding these ways to win these games right like they would like they'd pull off a little miracles here and overtime went here, and you know it's not really sustainable because their defense wasn't very good. And you knew eventually that something was going to pop, something was going to break, and it was just going to be bad, right? You just knew that that was going to happen. It wasn't going to sustain. It wasn't going to do that. And then eventually it didn't sustain, right? And that's kind of what the Eagles are. Like, yes, they're finding ways to win. I'm on his side, dude. Like, I cannot stand watching that team play offense. So now, I can also understand it if someone says, hey, this is a bad for the team and this is a distraction and blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 00:05:29 I can understand all that. I get all that. But look, it's not good football. It's unenjoyable to watch. It sucks. It sucks. And I imagine if you're a guy who's in the middle of your career, you're trying to win football games, you're trying to put up numbers, you're trying to succeed. You want to help your team succeed and you're not really even featured in this thing or part of it because the offense is inept and really bad.
Starting point is 00:05:52 I mean, imagine just say Juan Barclay. Imagine being Saquan. That dude was balling last year, and it's now a non-factor for the most part in what they do. Make a couple of plays here, a couple of plays there. But they were dominant offense last year. So let me play this. So this is Jalen Hertz talking about this. So I'm going to definitely put a halt to that.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I think the more we drive that, the more of a distraction it becomes. And I think ultimately it's about the group. And so things have been what they've been, that they are and they are where they are. You know, we are who we are as a team. We're all we got and we all we need. And so in terms of who we have this week, we got a really good opponent coming in the town,
Starting point is 00:06:35 a team that is... Lions going to whip that ass. Like, imagine you watch the Lions play football. They play decent enough defense, and they can move the ball on offense and they're fun. Like, wow, they got a guy, Amman Ross, St. Brown. Here's a novel concept. Throw the ball to Amman Ross, St. Brown.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Here's a novel concept. Throw the ball to Jamison Williams. Here's a novel concept. You've got a great player in the basketball. field named Jamir Gibbs. Give the ball to Jamir Gibbs, figure out how to get it to him. And they do. And wow, their offense is awesome. The Eagles have all these playmakers and can't get them the ball. I can only imagine that we've been waiting on the opportunity to play us, given history and given how good they've been. Been a great team, great, great organization, great
Starting point is 00:07:16 coach, and great culture. And so my energy, my focus is purely focused on trying to be the best that I can be this week trying to lead this offense in a way that we need to be led. I enjoy this. Elliot Shore Parks posted this video and says, this answer from Jalen Hertz on the A.J. Brown situation is one of the best answers I've heard him give as the Eagles QB. Really? It's a bunch of coaches speak.
Starting point is 00:07:43 We've got the Detroit lines. Like literally, we started with, I don't really care about this. We've got to play the lines. Like, there's something special about this. I'm going to definitely put a halt to that. I think the more we drive out. How are you going to put a halt? I don't know what the question was, but what halt are you going to put to this?
Starting point is 00:07:57 You're going to crack skulls. How would you go out there and figure out how to play some fucking offensive football? You're boring as hell. And it will eventually come back to get you. That's more of a distraction it becomes. And I think ultimately it's about the group. And so things have been what they've been, and they are where they are. You know, we are who we are as a team.
Starting point is 00:08:18 We're all we got and we all we need. Oh, my God. we all we got we all we need my god like how does somebody hear that and go like let me tell you something this guy says all the right things we all we got we all we need that's some bullshit hairy high school trash so in terms of who we have this week we got a really good opponent coming in the town a team that is if i can only imagine that's been waiting on the opportunity to play us giving history and yeah the difference is that team's able to move the ball they've got playmakers that they get the ball to.
Starting point is 00:08:50 You've got playmakers who can't even touch the ball. And I don't know if it's your fault. I don't know if it's your coach's fault. I don't know who gets the bulk of the blame for it. But it's pretty unwatchable. And I say this as a degenerate gambler. I hate watching you guys play football. You have set offensive football back.
Starting point is 00:09:05 So great. You make a couple of big plays. Like there was this audio of Mad Dog Russo ripping people for questioning the Eagles offense. See if I could find that audio. That was like his big thing. You guys rip these guys. They're putting up, let me see, or Mad Dog Russo Eagles.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Like, they're doing it because it's not sustainable. You're not going to win a lot of football games, 10 to 7 in the NFL. It's just not going to work that way. Let's see here. Here's this audio of Mad Dog Russo. Alpheus offense. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 00:09:38 I am amazed that everywhere I turn, people are making a big deal about the Eagles offense. First off, they've lowered the rating two. That's the first thing. They won in Kansas City. look and you are not wrong they're finding way when you're wrong they're not eight and two they're seven and two but you are you're not wrong that they are finding ways to win games but you cannot and now i'm going to speak in cliches you cannot ignore in victory which you otherwise would not ignore in defeat their offense is difficult to watch and at some point like let's see if it happens this weekend let's see if you can ride your super duper defense to a win against a team that is a solid offensive team like the packers are flawed offensively and the packers are flawed offensively and the packers have had a handful of games this year in which their offense has been dreadful. The Eagles
Starting point is 00:10:21 haven't had a ton of those. They haven't had a bunch of stinkers offensively. They've been pretty good. Now, their third down rate is absurdly bad. But you got Dan Campbell calling the plays now. See, that's the difference. What Dan Campbell did is he said, I'm taking over the play calling for this shit. We got too much talent. We got too much on the line to sit here and screw around. And they didn't. And they came out and they
Starting point is 00:10:39 balled out against Washington. Now, granted it's Washington. That's important to note. But still, anyway, continue. One in Green Bay. They won in 10. Tampa. I mean, they're going to win the division going away. They got to crack. They beat the Rams. So they beat the Rams. Again, they beat the Rams, not because their offense was any good. They beat the Rams because they got a couple of kicks blocked at the end of the game. If I'm a Rams guy, I can look at that game and say, I should have won that game. Like, they have plenty of games in there where if one or two things, mostly defensive driven, don't happen late in games, you probably lose them. Kansas City and the Packers, that's pretty good. Secondly, in the fourth, how don't that's why good? how you doing nice to have you with us here today eagles are seven and two
Starting point is 00:11:20 seven and two i apologize right bye hasn't happened yet they no no they uh yeah you're right seven and two furthermore when you think of the eagles in the fourth quarter there on monday night they ran down the field they scored on a nice play to devon first of they had the field goal then they ran down and scored and then when they got the ball back with about five and a half minutes to go they completed a third and twelve play to devonte smith get the first down and they rushed it all the way down to the 35 yard line Barclay made a big play and a catch and run for 42 yards. You know, congrats.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Like, you're pointing out one or two plays, and yes, they made those plays. They won the game. It's a 10 to 7 football game. I know the name of the game is winning, right? That's the objective is to win. I understand this. But I don't know how you watch the Eagles and think they're going to beat teams that have good offenses. I don't think they can.
Starting point is 00:12:10 Now, granted, they've won a couple of shootouts this year. They had high-scoring game against Tampa. I get that. Like, these are real things. I just don't buy them. I think their offense is bad. I think it's eventually going to come back to get them. I understand where A.J. Brown is coming from.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Now, granted, I think A.J. Brown is a deven. I think A.J. Brown is a mental case. I think that's pretty clear. But, like, I get where he's coming from. You go out there, you put in the work during the week. You get out there on the field. You want to help your team win. You escape with a 10 to 7 win over a team that your defense held to seven points.
Starting point is 00:12:40 And you're not touching the ball, even though you're a high, well-compensated, big-time player. you're not touching the ball. I get it. How could you not? How could you not understand where he's coming from? And then people blowing, you know, Jalen Hertz for how he handles this. He's coaches speaking. That's all he's doing.
Starting point is 00:12:57 So I get it, man. But then what was the game a couple weeks ago where they came out and slung the ball like it was nobody's business? They had that one game where they were just everywhere. Bang, bang, bang, all over the field and we're great throwing the football. And you're like, oh, maybe they figure this thing out. Maybe they've solved it. You know? but maybe they haven't.
Starting point is 00:13:16 I mean, they'll have moments where you're like, holy hell, they figured it out. Now, granted, you know, they blew out the Giants a couple of weeks ago. Was it the Vikings game? That may have been at. Yeah, Jalen Hertz threw for 326 yards against the Vikings. And everybody put up numbers. Everybody was eaten.
Starting point is 00:13:30 A.J. Brown, 121 yards. Devante Smith, 183 yards. It was like the ultimate FU to everybody who was like, hey, they don't do anything offensively. And then after that, they haven't done anything offensively. They have not moved the ball vertically at all. since then. They didn't do it very well against the Giants of that blowout game. They didn't need to. Against the Packers, they didn't move the ball vertically a ton. And this came after, you know, they struggled against the Giants a little bit initially. They struggled against the Broncos and lost. And then they come out and just sling it all around the yard. And you're like, wow, this team's a baller team. And now you look at what they've done the last couple of weeks. And they've done nothing. So I get it. All right, more to come.
