All right, ESPN, you've baited me in with your headline here, and I will engage because this is what I do.
NFL mid-season predictions, playoff races, MVP, and Super Bowl.
Well, now you have my attention.
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to look at this and break it down and tell you where they're wrong,
because I'm just in one of those moods where I think everybody is wrong today.
So let's take a look.
But first, let's play a couple commercials, and we will continue.

All right.
Let's start with this story.
So, how will the AFC races play out?
Let's see.
The Denver Broncos will win the AFC West.
Cool.
This is according to Jason.
Oh, I see.
So they've got multiple dudes telling you what they think is going to happen.
Okay.
So this guy, Jason Reed, says the Broncos will win the AFC West.
Not exactly a bold take there, considering that they're pretty high up in that race right now.
What is the difference?
Three games, two and a half.
Mike Tannenbaum says the Kansas City Chiefs are going to win the AFC West.
They're two and a half games behind the Broncos.
They play them twice.
It was a poor performance by Mahomes and Sunday's lost to the bills, blah, blah, blah.
Although Denver's playing well on defense.
Its offense is struggling.
The charges are in the mix for the AFC West title, but they have too many injuries to overcome down the stretch.
So Mike Tannenbaum, former Jets general manager, says that the chiefs are going to win the AFC West.
I don't believe the Chiefs are going to overcome two and a half games to win the division.
However, if there was a playoff scenario and you said you can have the Broncos or the Chiefs right now to win a playoff game if they played each other
or the question was who will advance farther, I would take the Chiefs.
The Chiefs will end up in the Super Bowl again.
Tell me you don't feel the same way.
Look around the AFC and tell me, when you look at the AFC standings, tell me the team that you think at the end of the day is going to be standing there that isn't the Kansas City Chiefs.
Tell me that you have that thought.
Now let me look.
I'm just looking at the standings here.
This is the AFC playoff standings right now.
Your teams that are in, or you're just the teams that are in the top here, you've got the Broncos at 8 and 2.
Do you really believe that Bo Nix is going to the Super Bowl?
That offense that scored seven points against the Raiders.
That offense that scored 13 points against the Jets.
This team that has pulled off multiple miracles, the team that had to pull off a miracle to beat the Giants.
Do you really believe that the Broncos are going to win the Super Bowl?
Of course you don't, because they're not going to win the Super Bowl.
If you believe in strength of schedule and think strength of schedule matters,
the Bronco's strength of schedule is 397, so 397.
You compare that to like the Steelers, 530, the Jags, 522, the Chiefs 500,
the Texan strength of schedule 603, if you care about these things.
Among the teams that are legitimately in the races, Buffalo is pretty low.
And they've barely been beating those crappy teams, which is also important to note.
Do you believe that Daniel Jones is going to go to the Super Bowl?
Guys played his ass off.
Outside of last week, he's been very good.
MVP.
You could argue he's the MVP of the league, and I'm sure one of these guys will make that case in this story.
Do you really believe that the Colts with Daniel Jones,
because you can't get past the fact that he's the Daniel Jones that played quarter.
quarterback for the Giants and you see his weird crazy eyes looking like Woody and Tony Romo had a baby.
And you see him and you look at his eyes and you see the crazy eyes he's got.
Do you believe that that guy is going to win the Super Bowl?
You don't.
The Patriots are 7 and 2.
Again, this is just straight up.
Do you believe that they're going to win the Super Bowl with what they got?
No.
Do you believe that Aaron Rogers are going to win the Super Bowl?
No.
Again, when it's all said and done, when the dust settles, when the smoke clears, here's who's going to be standing at the top.
it's either going to be the Bills or the Chiefs.
If there's a bet somewhere out there that's available for that,
and it's, hey, the Bills or the Chiefs or the field,
and the field's pretty deep because you've got eight teams that are all within,
that all have at least five wins.
The Texans are out, they're three and five.
They're pretty much out.
But as it stands now, you've got eight teams in the AFC that have at least five wins.
And of those eight teams, do you honestly believe that someone not named Mahomes
or Josh Allen will be the last one standing?
And let's be real.
Do you really believe it's going to be Josh Allen?
Because good for the bills.
They beat the Chiefs in a regular season game.
Well, Lottie fucking da.
Congratulations, you really killed it.
But, like, do you really believe that at the end of the day,
someone not named Patrick Mahomes will be standing at the end of this thing?
Please, enlighten me.
And then, like, you can look at these teams and go,
well, these teams have great records.
Then you go down and you look at the quarterback play and go,
eh, I just don't see it.
I don't buy it.
But that offense is so bad for the Broncos.
I'm going to enjoy so much watching them get peckerslapped in the playoffs.
Another Sean Peyton special.
Oh, it's going to make my nipple.
I'm going to be cut in glass watching Sean Payton do it with another team and not the Saints this time around.
Come on, baby.
All right, let's see.
The Ravens will win the AFC North according to Field Yates.
See, that's a take.
See, now what you're dealing with is a legit, bold take.
because you look at the Ravens.
They are currently two games behind the Steelers.
That's not far-fetched if they figure things out with Lamar.
Their defense has been awful this year.
Don't forget that.
But even with as bad as their defense has been,
they're only minus 14 in the point differential.
That's kind of something.
I don't believe the Ravens are going to overcome the Steelers,
but I also don't buy the Steelers.
I don't buy that division at all.
You know it's got to be kicking themselves, like right in the balls,
the Bengals.
If the Bengals could have found out of the Steelers,
could have found a way to win any of these six games.
If they were a four and five football team right now, I'd say the Bengals are going to
win that division.
But they kept screwing up because that's what they do.
This person, this is Pamela Maldonado.
She says the bills will lose the AFC East.
Will the Bills lose the AFC East?
Well, currently they are losing the AFC East.
The Patriots have won six games in a row.
They've got a pretty good head coach.
Their quarterback play has been very good.
So that wouldn't be shocking.
I don't know what their schedule looks like the rest of the way.
Let's see.
Let's look at what the bills have.
They should beat the dolphins on the road.
Bucks will be a tougher one.
They should beat the Texans in, let's see, they play the Texans in Houston.
They should win that.
At Steelers is tough.
They should beat the Bengals.
At the Patriots, that's a big one.
They'll beat the Browns.
The Eagles is tough.
Their schedule's not like a layup schedule.
But then you compare that schedule to, let's see, what the Patriots have the rest of the way.
Patriots have, let's see, the Bangle, sorry, the Bucks on the road, Jets at home, those are winnable games, and the Jets certainly is a game they should win, at the Bengals they should win, Giants at home they should win, Bill's is a big toss-up, at Ravens is a toss-up, at Jets is a win versus Dolphins is a win.
So that's a fun race, actually. I'm kind of into that race. Let's see, about the NFC, the Buccaneers will reach the Super Bowl. I do not believe that will be the case, especially considering that injuries are really.
beating the hell out of them at the moment, but you look around the NFC and you say,
who's going to be there?
I don't think it's going to be Tampa.
Do they have an outside shot?
Sure, but I don't buy it.
The Rams will reach the Super Bowl, says Lindsay Theory, that I could see.
But I'm just a big Matt Stafford guy.
I think defensively they've been good.
The combination of Puka and Devante Adams is sick right now.
Like, I'm totally down.
Like, I'm still not believing in the Eagles, only because the Eagles don't consistently
sling the ball around as much as they should.
But when they're doing it, they're looking good doing it.
That's a positive.
And they add pieces always, which is a positive.
But I'm a big Matt Stafford guy.
Who will win awards?
Ram's quarterback will win.
See, Stafford will win the MVP that according to Jeremy Fowler.
I can see that.
Why not?
Numbers are good.
I'm trying to think of other guys who could win it.
I mean, they're, I mean,
it's not going to be Mahomes probably it's not going to be Josh Allen probably
I could see Matt Stafford being the MVP of the league I don't think it's going to end up
being Baker Mayfielder like one of these outside shots like that like a Mayfield or a
Daniel Jones although they're among the leaders currently
eventually it's going to go to one of the blue bloods and I could see Matt
Stafford winning it
Seahawks wide receiver JSN will win offensive player of the year well he should
the guy averages 120 receiving yards a game he's a monster
Colt Shane Stuyken will win coach of the year.
Well, he should.
They brought in Daniel Jones as a reclamation project.
They have to deal with all these people online bitching that Homeboy isn't the quarterback.
This dude's all he's done is coming here and gone seven and two through the first nine games.
So I can see that.
Mike Vrable could win coach of the year.
I agree with Matt Miller.
I think those are both solid candidates.
Again, they take a guy, Drake May.
Now, he's not a reclamation project.
He's in his second year and he's been with the Patriots.
But my man's gone there and he's got him winning football games.
At the moment, I could still argue that Shane Steichen is more impressive only because Daniel Jones, who people left for dead, is playing as well as any quarterback in the league.
And they've had to deal with all the Anthony Richardson fallout shit.
So he's done a good job.
Let's see, Christian McCaffrey will break Marshall Falk's single season record for receiving yards for a running back.
As someone who bets a lot of the time on Christian McCaffrey to get receiving yards, I can see that happening.
In 1999, Marshall Falk had 1,048 yards.
Let's see, McCaffrey has 626, which would pan out to be 1,182 for 17 games.
Now, of course, he plays 17 games, so it's not quite the same.
Camlittle's 68-yard field goal record will be broken.
I can see that as well because it's amazing watching teams just like, it's like you get to your own 40 and it's like, we'll give it a shot.
Like, if you get the ball to the 50, depending on the time of game and the game.
the situation of course like a lot of end-to-half stuff but like teams are just willing to give
it a boot why not uh let's see what could happen in the i don't even want to break down what the hell's
going to happen in the 2026 draft that doesn't interest me so but yeah i agree with some of that
stuff like i i love the field goal stuff like i used to think hey we should get one chance to kick
off a tee for a field goal every game and i'm still in that camp like i think that'd be funny if
like at the end of the half or at the end of a game you're at your own 20 you get to put the ball on a
and give it a boot and see if you can boot it through the uprides or maybe even make it more fun
if you do kick it from like 90 yards they narrow the goalposts like the goalposts become almost
like arena league goalposts so like kicking off the tea gives you a great advantage but the
disadvantage is that the goalposts are extremely narrow see that would be fun these are the kind
of fun things that I'd like to consider all right more to come
