And I do remind you that Justin Herbert is broken, and he was broken by a lady.
And if you have him on your fantasy team, you're in a whole bunch of trouble.
If you made a bet for the charges to do anything significant, you're in a whole bunch of fucking trouble.
I mean, look at the AFC West.
Again, it's one week.
But after one week of watching AFC West football, do you have any reason to believe that the chiefs aren't just going to run away with the division?
Again, it's one week.
I get that.
It's an overreaction thing here.
one fucking week, but that's what we do.
You go down the schedule and you just overreact to shit, right?
Is there any reason to believe that you're not going to get a regression from, I mean, look what happened last night with Bo Nix?
That dude looked like dog shit.
So there's the Broncos.
The Broncos were kind of the trendy team in that division and they were 18 to 1 to win the Super Bowl, right?
Do you have any reason to believe that the Broncos are really going to compete with the Chiefs?
There's zero reason to believe in the charts.
They are dunzo.
They're like, maybe the Broncos bounce back.
They have a good coach.
Do you have any reason to believe that the chargers are going to do anything?
Their quarterback is so pussy whipped.
He has no chance.
And again, I don't blame him.
If I were Justin Herbert, I got enough cash now.
And I don't know if he just walked away how much of that money you'd get to keep.
And I'm sure he's got plenty.
If I were that motherfucker, I would stop getting my brains beaten in every week.
And I would just go bang my girlfriend to the point that she'd get.
so sick of me, she'd probably end up leaving me, then I go back and play football.
Like, how do you even get out of bed? If you're laying next to that chick in the morning,
how do you even get out of bed? And there's an argument that somebody can make, which is,
well, no matter how hot someone is, somebody's waiting to kick her out of bed. Not that chick.
That chick has destroyed this man. The AFC West is over. We are one week into the season,
and I declare the AFC West over. The winner of the AFC West is Kansas City. The Raiders ain't going to do
shit. Mendoza's, I think
Mendoza's a dufus. So
the Raiders ain't doing anything.
My man, Herbert's
Dunzo.
He's, he's,
he's just been defeated by
something that's undefeated, which
is the pussy. He has been
defeated. And then
the Broncos look like shit, and I have no reason to believe
the Broncos are going to bounce back and do anything in that
division. The Chiefs have won the division. One
week into the season, I have declared
the winner
of the AFC
West is Kansas
City. There is no more
hope for anybody else.
Finished.

Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life?
You know the same way you can skip an ad? I get it. I'm Siyaya and I live in Ice Cove.
I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned. And today I'm
still figuring it out. Somehow things usually get worse before they get better.
Apparently that's how I roll. So bundle up and come along for the bumpy ride.
stream a new episode of North of North Tuesdays on CBC gem.
So you look around some of these other divisions and you go, well, okay, Josh, tell me after one week,
give me some of these hot takes.
Give me some of these real hot takes like you just delivered, that the AFC West is already over.
And the AFC West is over.
Like there's no reason for you to ever make, like, I don't know what the current futures bets are in the NFL.
I have no idea.
Like I have no idea what the odds are after one week for, you know, like how they've adjusted,
how the chief's odds have probably gone up
and the Patriots odds have gone down, that type of shit.
Like we can go, hey, I'm going to get in
while there's good value on the Broncos
to win the division because the Broncos
just got their asses whipped by the chiefs,
so they probably have better value to win that division.
Now I'm going to jump in on them.
The fuck I am.
I saw nothing from them that gave me any hope.
And I get that it's week one.
I thought Kansas City was kind of cooked
and it was kind of over and Kelsey's kind of done.
Kelsey goes out there look pretty good.
I'm just talking about the way he looks.
Like last year, and maybe it was because, you know, his whole world was revolving around weddings and fairy tales and castles and shit.
So maybe it was a little different.
He looks fit.
Looks like he's in shape.
A man got 50 yards down the field on a play.
Good for him.
Mahomes.
Oh, I like the idea that we were supposed to believe that, you know, that Mahomes was hurt going into this game and he wasn't going to play or there was a chance he wasn't going to play.
That was bullshit.
We obviously knew that.
Rancos go out and get Jalen Wattel.
don't even throw him to fucking ball.
Cortland Sutton's a no-show.
I mean, like, again, this is an overreaction,
but I have no reason to believe
that the Chiefs are not going to run away with that division.
Can I find like some current futures bets?
Let me look this up.
Current NFL futures bets.
Can I get something updated?
Let's see.
Does Vegas Insider have updated odds after week one?
That's what I'm looking for here.
Because some of these you can go,
well, this is a good opportunity to get in on this
because this team lost, but we feel pretty confident about them.
So this is the time where you get in on them, right?
Well, I don't think so.
I don't think we, like, not the Broncos.
Let me see if they've updated these odds.
Can somebody get me updated odds on this?
I don't think those are updated
because I get where the Rams would still be the favorite,
but yeah, that can't be current.
Because obviously you jump in right now and go,
Well, the bears might run away with that division, too.
Let's see.
NFL futures.
Now, this says updates as of September 7th.
Well, that's not going to help anybody.
I need after week one.
Somebody give me, let's see, NFL futures odds after week one.
Let's see.
Okay, so this is as of September 14th.
So that would be yesterday, right?
Well, shit that may be late last night.
Yeah, okay.
So now this according to theirs.
These are slightly different, but okay, this is fine.
So let's see.
The Broncos are, yeah, I wouldn't take them.
The Texans are now plus 2,000 after they lost.
Where are the saints to win the division?
Maybe I'm being Homer guy here,
but I'm taking saints to win that division.
Because, now, I know that Carolina went out there
and slung the ball against the bears.
They also gave up 60 points.
Baker looks bad.
And then you've got the Saints.
You've got Carolina and the Falcons.
Saints are winning the division.
Let's see which team.
I'm guessing Tampa has the shortest odds to actually win the Super Bowl.
And that doesn't come up until 18.
They're plus 5,000.
So Tampa's plus 5,000 to win the Super Bowl.
The Saints to win the Super Bowl currently is...
Where the hell is it? New Orleans plus 10,000.
Like their odds have gotten worse since they played week one.
They went to Detroit and were basically, they had a game stolen from them in Detroit.
And now their odds have gone down.
Okay.
Look, I'm riding Saints to win that division.
So let's see.
These are just Super Bowl odds.
The Rams odds have gone from plus 500 to plus 650.
So that's decent value because the Rams are still going to win the Super Bowl.
Or at least have a very good shot at it.
Detroit's odds have gone down a little bit and gotten better actually.
Look, again, one week, you overreact, teams are going to figure it out.
But there are some things we saw this weekend that I believe are just going to be.
I think the Chargers are cooked.
I think my man Herbert's cooked.
And I think the Broncos are taking a big step backwards.
And again, that's easy to say after you just got smoked on Monday night football.
when you're the only game in town, I get it.
I also don't think the 49ers are nearly as good as 27 to 7 against the Rams would indicate.
They had to go on the road to fucking Australia to play that game.
So, like, can you really judge anything from a game played in Australia when no football should be played in Australia or Germany or China or Japan or Ireland or Scotland or any of these other fucking Mexico?
These games shouldn't be played in these places.
They should be played in fucking America because this is an American sport.
What are we doing here?
All you're doing is screwing your American fans, the place where the game was built,
so you can make a couple extra bucks to go play a game with some shrimp on the fucking Barbie.
It's stupid.
So I'm not going to look at either one of those teams and look at what happened in Australia as some sort of gauge.
Buccaneers were losers against Cincinnati.
If Joe Burroughs stays healthy, they're a threat because he's one of the five best quarterbacks in the league when he's healthy.
The problem is he never stays healthy.
And by the way, they hung 33 points on the Buccaneers.
and that's with Jamar Chase being a total no-show.
Dude had like 12 receiving yards.
Saints and Lions.
Lions are flawed.
They were a product.
Their offense was basically a product of Ben Johnson.
I mean, just look at it.
Ben Johnson has turned Caleb Williams,
the guy with the painted fingernails and man purses and shit,
turned him into a fucking beast.
And what's Jared Gough now?
Just kind of there.
He's fine.
He has moments.
I mean, the guy's got every possible weapon you can imagine.
You got Jemir Gibbs.
You got Amin-Ross St. Brown.
You got Jameson Williams when he can actually catch the ball.
Those are three huge weapons.
And when Sam Laporte is healthy, you got one of the best past catching tight ends in the NFL.
Like, you got weapons all over the plays.
But you don't have the play caller to get the job done.
And that's why when you watch the lines, the lion scored seven points in the first half against the Saints.
And they scored, what did they score in the second half of that game?
24 points in the second half, and most of that was done because they were given a short field
after a couple Saints' turnovers.
I don't watch the Lions and look at them as anything.
Like, they're fine.
I don't think you come out of that game feeling better about them if you're a fan of the Lions.
Like, you don't come out of that game thinking, oh, you know what?
Like, I think where there's something to build on here.
You had seven points in the first half against the fucking Saints, and you let Tyler Shuck go down
the field and throw up 400 fucking yards on you.
And I get that part of that was in overtime.
that was one overtime possession.
The guy threw for like 350 yards on you in regulation
and every time he needed to make a play in the fourth quarter,
he made a fucking play against your shitty defense.
If you're the Lions and you're a Lions fan after week one,
how are you watching that going?
Yeah, I feel pretty good about where we are.
I think things are really trending upward.
Jets and Titans, they both suck.
The Jets just sucked less on one day.
Ham Ward sucks.
The Jets suck.
I was reading some story about how,
Jets fans have the least optimism of any football fans.
It was like some study that was done.
Kansas City fans have the most optimism.
And Jets fans have the least optimism.
I just can't imagine being a Jets fan.
I saw some story where they were bragging about how thousands of Jets fans
went to the Titans game in Nashville.
And they're like, oh my God, look at that.
We made the playoffs in a million years and we suck yet.
Our fans still show up and show.
Yeah, it's in some fucking Nashville.
Everybody wants to go to Nashville.
It's a destination.
Like, go do that in fucking Detroit, and then I'll be interested.
You know, no offense to Detroit, I like Detroit.
But, like, it's not a tourist destination.
You know, go do that shit in Cincinnati.
You know, bring thousands of people to Cincinnati for a Jets Bengals game,
and then you'll have my attention.
Don't suck your dicks over the fact that you went down to one of the biggest tourist destinations
in the country and partied at the end of summer in Nashville for a couple days
to see your shitty football team,
where I guess the tickets were probably also cheap because it's in a shitty old stadium.
and no one's interested in the team there.
Probably got in for $5 a pop.
So cut the shit on blowing yourselves for being great fans.
Who do the Jets play next week?
Whoever is going to beat the shit out of these guys?
Let's see.
The Jets play.
Oh, yeah, the Packers.
Oh, we'll get to the Packers in a second.
Again, we're just looking at these week one.
Last night I'm watching that.
Chiefs are back to being the Chiefs
and the Broncos are just awful.
Let's see.
Ravens and Colts, I don't believe what the Ravens did against the Colts is some sort of harbinger of things to come,
and I don't believe Lamar is going to throw for 3 24 yards every week. Now, Henry may run for 144 and score 3 tuds every week,
but like I don't buy that. Now, the thing they have going for them is they face the Saints this weekend,
and the Saints are probably going to go to O and 2, which hurts my chance of them winning the division.
But they're going to be 0 and 2, but I'm still going to have a lot of belief in them because there's a possibility,
and I've got to look at the schedule and make sure these teams aren't playing each other in the division.
based on how bad these teams are in that division,
there's a chance they're all going to be fucking O and two
because the NFC South is loaded with shit.
And the Colts, look, perhaps,
perhaps our boy has turned back into a pumpkin.
Maybe that, you know, 10 weeks or whatever it was
where we're like, hey, Daniel Jones, this guy can sling.
Maybe he can't.
You know, maybe he's not that good.
My man, Daniel Jones, goes for a buck 66.
Like, let's just look at what Daniel Jones has done.
Let's show me Daniel Jones game log over his last, like, 10 games he's played.
He had that moment in time where he was kind of, you know, everything in the world.
And everybody's like, yeah, Daniel Jones, what a reclamation project.
Let's see what he did at the end of the year when they lost.
Let's see, four of their last five games.
Let's see, Daniel Jones, down the stretch, 60 yards against Jacksonville.
I think he got hurt in that one.
200, 181, 255.
He had a big game against Pittsburgh.
that they lost. That was probably a lot of junk yards.
They beat Tennessee.
Like he was having this moment in time.
And then like December rolled around, end of November, into December.
And it's like, oh, by the way, Daniel Jones is still fucking Daniel Jones.
And his yards per attempt average was plummeting.
And like, okay, cool, whatever, bro.
But I think that my man's kind of turned back into a pumpkin.
That woody-looking motherfuckers turned back into a pumpkin.
So nothing to see here.
And I don't believe the Ravens are anywhere close to what they did against.
the Colts and we'll see. Falcons and Steelers. The Steelers just kind of fucking exist.
Like Rogers was fine, but like still, like late in that game, you're facing a Falcons team
with a slap dick at quarterback. Right. Cooper Rush is your quarterback. And by the way,
Cooper Rush had back spasms going into that game. Yet you're in the fourth quarter at home
against the Falcons with Cooper Rush, and it's a ball game. You win 20 to 13 at one point. That's a
one possession game in the, I mean, the whole four. It's,
It's a one possession game in the fourth quarter at home.
Like, if you're the Steelers, there's no way you come out of that game.
Like, there are times you win and, like, you feel like you escaped and you're fine with the fact you won, but let's get real.
Like, big fucking deal.
Like, we're not feeling good about ourselves.
The Steelers fall into that category.
I in no way believe the Steelers have any chance of winning anything significant.
Rogers is fine.
But, like, the Steelers are just there.
They're one of those teams where they just kind of exist, but does anybody believe the Steelers are a real viable threat?
I don't.
Good for them.
I don't know what their schedule looks like.
But just looking at it.
And by the way, if people stay healthy in their division, there's a chance they get smoked.
If Cincinnati stays healthy, they got a chance to smoke them.
Baltimore can smoke them.
Right.
So like the state, not the Browns.
Basically, everybody not named the Browns in that division can do some big shit.
And if the Browns decide to get away from Deshaun Watson and just decide to let Shudor see what he can do, who knows?
They might upset a couple people.
They're not a real thing.
threat, but they could upset you.
